  didn't have that cut on his side, his cone isn't as big because Sam

  had to have like a growth removed and it was easy for him to reach

  that with the shorter cone, so they had to put this massive cone on

  him. And that is not the kind that they have given Pippin, which

  I am really grateful for because that thing was so difficult to deal with.

  So there's that. But if you hear some odd sounds in the back background,

  he's like pushing his food bowl around as he tries to figure out how
• 2:04
  to eat out of it, and probably will knock over his water bowl at
• 2:07
  one point or another. He's figuring it all out. I'm hoping he'll just
• 2:10
  lay down and go to sleep. So Sarah from says, our pupper just

  got the same thing like two I'm saying thinking two and a half two weeks
• 2:23
  ago. Watching him try to deal with the cone was fun. Yeah,

  It's like it's alternately fun and so pitiful that it like breaks my heart,
• 2:34
  you know. It's I never really know how I feel about it. Because

  then there are the times, especially with the big one that Sam had,
• 2:42
  where he basically was like a snowplow like anything that he touched he'd scoop up
• 2:49
  and fling around, and he'd like run after me and slam into the back
• 2:53
  of my legs. So I had all these like horizontal thin bruises because he
• 2:57
  just kept slamming the edge of his cone into my life. So anyway,
• 3:02
  that is what's going on there and this guy, maybe maybe I should just
• 3:07
  take this away. We're gonna take that away so that you don't keep You
• 3:13
  had a little bit to eat. They said not to give you too much,
• 3:15
  so you go lay down and we're just gonna He's looking at the door,
• 3:17
  he wants to go out. You're not going out. You're just gonna
• 3:21
  stay right here with me, baby, so you better lay down. I'm

  sorry everybody. I feel like this is probably what it must be like to

  deal with somebody who just had a kid. Is the first ten minutes of

  every conversation are always going to be about where the kid is now, what

  the kid is doing, how the kid's health is, what you just did

  with the kid, how the kid's been feeling. It's just a lot of

  maintenance. So these three episodes, I was glad to see that we had

  three on the docket for today because they are very, very action heavy,

  so there's a lot that you can sort of blow through pun intended. I

  also wanted to mention that we don't get the opening with the like gold Pirate
• 4:11
  Roger. You know, that's like I been at the start of every single
• 4:15
  episode for since this began, and this is a it feels so different.

  I tend to skip the opening, So even though I skip the I kind
• 4:30
  of expected it to not matter that much, but it does. There's like,
• 4:34
  I don't know, even just scrolling through it and not seeing that come
• 4:38
  up feels weird to me. But yeah, we pick up right where we
• 4:43
  had left off after Lufy punched the celestial dragon. The punch heard round the
• 4:50
  world, so damn satisfying, and basically what happens, like long story short,
• 5:00
  with just the immediate future here is that Lufy looks around and it's just
• 5:06
  kind of like, sorry about that, everybody. You know, some of
• 5:11
  the fuckers just need to get punched. I was happy to oblige and now
• 5:15
  we can all just move on. And he's very like casual about it.
• 5:18
  We have a slow pan over all of the people in the audience that we're
• 5:24
  going to be bidding, and then over the other celestial dragons, and then
• 5:30
  of course over our friends, and we get to see the variety of reactions.
• 5:36
  So the people in the audience, their mouths are hanging open and they're
• 5:42
  totally stunned and terrified. Our friends for the most part are just grim faced.
• 5:49
  The people who look really flipped out and scared are Camy and Papahoo and
• 5:59
  Hatchie. But as for our people, it's just sort of like, yeah,
• 6:04
  well, you know, this is what's going to happen when you like
• 6:06
  fuck around in front of lufy and we're used to it. And I really
• 6:13
  really enjoy that Law. What's his name, guys, Trafalgar Law. He's
• 6:20
  one of the few that just sort of smirks. There's a very zoro energy
• 6:27
  to him. He is so lucy goosey. He seems like the kind of
• 6:32
  person. It's not that he doesn't feel the impact or importance of things,
• 6:40
  it's more that he approaches everything in the same sort of attitude because there's nothing
• 6:47
  to be gained by like freaking out or panicking. And then you've got other
• 6:53
  people who I mean Kid for his part, thinks this is great. He's
• 6:58
  enjoying this. But that dude Capone is ready to flee the island as we
• 7:03
  see, and I think the next episode he's basically going, I am not
• 7:10
  one to wait around for the fucking admirals to get here, so why don't
• 7:14
  we just make like a tree and zoro? He had his sword drawn and
• 7:24
  he just says to Lufy, well, you beat me to it because I
• 7:29
  was going to do something anyway, which I sort of like that happening in
• 7:34
  the background, like him just sort of you want to be like, Lufy,
• 7:40
  what are you doing? You lost control? You made a promise.
• 7:45
  But it turns out that, like if Lufy hadn't done something, I do
• 7:48
  think Zoro would have done something anyway. We saw him like go after this
• 7:56
  same dude in the street, but at the time he didn't know who the
• 8:01
  guy was. He was stopped and warned about it all. And the fact
• 8:05
  that he knows now and is like informed about what the consequences would be and
• 8:11
  was still going to do the same thing as Lufy. This is a nice
• 8:15
  reminder for me because sometimes, you know, it's not that I ever go
• 8:18
  why is Zoro teamed up with Lufy? Because I totally understand how this happened,
• 8:24
  But every now and then, because the two of them have such a
• 8:28
  different approach and attitude to things overall, it can be sort of a weird
• 8:33
  pairing to me. And then there's these moments where it's like, oh no,
• 8:37
  it's just the sheer morality of like Hey, I want to do the
• 8:41
  right thing. These people are terrorizing and enslaving other human beings and they deserve
• 8:46
  to be punched or sliced with a sword, and that is what we are
• 8:50
  going to do because it is the correct way to approach this. And I
• 8:56
  really really enjoy Oh right, Gus says, I'm not sure if you started
• 9:01
  to use crunchy roll yet not yet. I keep meaning to you and forgetting
• 9:03
  until like it's time to watch and I don't have time to switch. But
• 9:07
  all of the Sabiote arc should have had a new intro that is different from
• 9:13
  thriller barks intro. I don't think they show it on the Netflix Hulu version
• 9:16
  because of licensing issues. Oh see the intro. I don't tend to watch
• 9:20
  because it like has spoilers in it. I think that you guys told me
• 9:26
  with the thriller bark Arc to not bark Arc. I think that Brooke was
• 9:33
  in the opening and you guys were like, what the fuck with the spoilers
• 9:37
  on this, so you told me not to watch it, So I kind
• 9:39
  of avoid the openings anyway. The only thing that I'll do is let it
• 9:43
  play while I'm like, you know, making my tea before I sit down
• 9:48
  or something, so I'll hear the song, but I won't see the actual
• 9:54
  like animation. So anyway, this uh scene of everybody like kind of there's
• 10:05
  an almost calmness, and then Frankie says, well, that's that. I
• 10:11
  guess we're fighting, and I y'all, there's something very wonderful about the shift
• 10:22
  in our friend's attitude, because you know, at the start, it was
• 10:26
  always shock and horror and what are you doing? I can't believe it.
• 10:31
  And as time has gone on, it's grown into like, well, we
• 10:35
  know our friends can take care of themselves. We're not worried about Lufy.
• 10:39
  I'm sure he's going to be fine. He's an amazing fighter too. I
• 10:43
  knew it was only a matter of time before he did something that was like
• 10:48
  basically going to ruin everybody's days. And the nobody seems to hold it against
• 10:58
  him at all. I think that's my favorite part. There isn't a soul
• 11:03
  on our team going, oh my god, I can't believe he did that.
• 11:09
  Everybody is just in agreement with him. It feels I'm like, yeah,
• 11:13
  sometimes motherfuckers do need to get punched. That is a fact of life.
• 11:18
  And I'm glad to be on the team of the guy who punched that
• 11:20
  piece of shit. So Chopper is like, all right, look, I'm
• 11:28
  gonna get to Hatchie and try and like tend to his wound. But Frankie,
• 11:33
  you are going to have to find the keys to unlock Kamei's collar,
• 11:39
  because it's all well and good to say that we're going to break her out
• 11:41
  of here, But if the collar goes off, then what's the point of
• 11:45
  all of this. And the celestial dragons are over here like they're watching this
• 11:52
  whole proceeding, and the girl says, no one has ever laid a hand
• 11:56
  on Charlie's father, not even you father, which there's something about the like
• 12:03
  addition of he himself has never even like hit his own son, which it's
• 12:09
  funny that we have to expressly say that, because beating your kids is just
• 12:13
  taken for granted to a lot of people. But also the fact that he
• 12:18
  is treated so gently that his own family is also kind of like, well,
• 12:24
  I would never I would never disrespect you, which does kind of throw
• 12:28
  a different light on the whole thing. But all of them, like they
• 12:35
  the two of them get up and are basically firing wildly at Lufy. Lufy
• 12:41
  isn't dodging. He's just such a bad shot, I think, and he's
• 12:48
  just firing in his general direction, but none of it's actually hitting, which
• 12:52
  is I can't tell if he's trying to hit him or if it's just trying
• 12:56
  to fire warning shots in order to like intimidate him and Sanji at this point
• 13:07
  jumps in. Sanjie does so very much kicking in this section. At one
• 13:13
  point he says he's going to need to go to a cobbler, And I
• 13:20
  actually did really like that joke, even though it is such like I get
• 13:24
  what they're doing with it because you know, oh, my shoes. But
• 13:30
  cop, guys, is there a cobbler anywhere near you? I'm just curious
• 13:33
  about in this universe. I'm guessing cobblers are all over the place. It's
• 13:39
  fine Lufi's or Sangie's concern here. He would be able to probably go out
• 13:43
  on this very island and find a cobbler that fixes tourists shoes. But it
• 13:48
  just got me thinking how different our whole culture is around so many things,
• 13:54
  and shoes are such a major one where we have, like, you know,
• 14:00
  really cheap footwear that we just designed to fall apart eventually, and nobody
• 14:05
  seems to get things repaired anymore, which I can't really blame, because the
• 14:11
  price to get things repaired is probably more than it would be to just buy
• 14:15
  something new at this point because of how much we're exploiting sweatshop workers to get
• 14:20
  our cheap clothes to begin with. But it just made me sort of sad
• 14:24
  for a moment, as I was like, if we had cobblers. You
• 14:28
  know, Sam's chewed up a couple pairs of my shoes in this very room
• 14:31
  while I've been recording, and it would be nice if I could just take
• 14:35
  them to somebody who could you fix them up for me? And just gave
• 14:39
  me a little moment of like, oh, that's something that I think is
• 14:43
  kind of going to be gone forever, except for specialty stores that do like
• 14:48
  designers shoe restoration and repair. So, of course, this is when the
• 14:56
  whole audience starts to flee. The security guards are coming in, and then
• 15:01
  we've got one of the tweedledee looking guys from the back where the slaves are
• 15:07
  being kept. He comes in and whispers to the other guy who's just like,
• 15:11
  are you serious. And then we go to that back room where Raleigh
• 15:18
  is sitting next to that giant and he is shackled drinking out of his flask,
• 15:26
  and then he flips the flask over and shakes it and says all out,
• 15:31
  well, that settles it, and the giant says settles what. But
• 15:39
  as we see, basically Raleigh was planning, what he was going to do
• 15:48
  was let himself get sold, seal the money that they bought him with,
• 15:54
  and then rob the people who bought him. I desperately want to see I
• 16:04
  The only downside to this ruckus that my friends caused in this auditorium here,
• 16:11
  which was all very well deserved and correct, and I am not mad at
• 16:14
  them for it. The only downside is that I didn't get to see him
• 16:19
  rob the entire joint and then rob somebody horrible face to face. I really
• 16:27
  wish I had at least gotten like that little bit of petty gratification, because
• 16:32
  that sounds hilarious. And apparently he's done this before, so you would really
• 16:38
  think that they would learn not to sell him because he's a troublemaker. But
• 16:42
  maybe he was able to sort of keep it on the dl that it was
• 16:45
  him that pulled the whole thing off. So yeah, he, as we
• 16:52
  find out later, basically just waited until the booze was out and then is
• 16:56
  like, well, I guess that's game over for this and transitions to the
• 17:02
  I'm going to fight bitches part of his evening. Meanwhile, we've got everybody
• 17:07
  running around and getting into the fight. Frankie is just being dogpiled. He's
• 17:12
  shooting his like crazy hand that's on a chain that shoots out and breathing fire
• 17:18
  on people, and Shalrea the the what do you call it, the other
• 17:26
  celestial dragon? She calls it senseless violence, which is just so I know
• 17:33
  that it's not really meant to be anything specific, you guys, Like this
• 17:38
  is just meant to display a certain personality who like pretends to be extremely delicate
• 17:45
  about certain things, but is willing to do horrible shit themselves, and so
• 17:53
  is just the height of hypocrisy. But it really touched a nerve as of
• 18:00
  lately, how many folks out there are just like, there are so many
• 18:06
  fights for civil rights that are going on in such a variety of different ways,
• 18:11
  and even just things like the writer's strike right now, which is not
• 18:14
  about civil rights but just about like getting paid for your work fairly from people
• 18:19
  who are billionaires and just don't want to fucking share, which is what it
• 18:25
  comes down to. And there are so many people. It's shocking to me
• 18:32
  because I, you know, I live in a bit of an echo chamber,
• 18:34
  and I'm okay with that, it's fine, but I forget how many
• 18:38
  folks there are still out there in the world who really believe that if you
• 18:42
  just work hard, everything will be fine, which is just such a joke,
• 18:48
  And who also think that like all of our racism and sexism that our
• 18:52
  country is literally founded on is a thing of the past, and that anybody
• 18:59
  who is like talking about it today is they are the ones responsible for dragging
• 19:04
  it out when we could just move forward and be totally colorblind. And that's
• 19:11
  just it's so not the reality. And those same people will call protests and
• 19:18
  rioting senseless violence, and it's like there is so much sense to it.
• 19:22
  Actually, these are people who have been oppressed in every sense for hundreds of
• 19:30
  years and they are fucking sick of it, Like there's just no more just
• 19:38
  cause than that. And yet you get these pearl clutchers who really think that
• 19:45
  by like preaching pacifism, there's somehow more elevated instead of being actually empathetic and
• 19:55
  understanding that violence is the only thing that has ever got anybody their rights when
• 20:02
  they have been oppressed by an outside party. That's the only thing that's ever
• 20:06
  worked. Like, you know, So anyway, Kratos says, you could
• 20:12
  argue worker rights or civil rights. Oh, I definitely would, but I
• 20:17
  just wanted to be clear that that wasn't exactly correct. But yes, I
• 20:21
  think that they should be included. There is Look, you guys know how
• 20:26
  I feel about all this, so I'm not going to cheer your ear off,
• 20:29
  but this writer's strike. Did you guys see recently? I think it
• 20:33
  was yesterday morning. It was gonna be like you know, nineties something out
• 20:38
  there on the sidewalk where they were gonna be picketing, and there were a
• 20:44
  stretch of eucalyptus trees that were providing shade while they stood there, and the
• 20:52
  studio paid somebody to come down and cut all the branches off the trees so
• 20:57
  that there's no shade and just just to be fucking assholes. And like those
• 21:06
  trees are city trees. They were not owned by the studio. They're not
• 21:11
  property. They're not part of the property. They were city trees. So
• 21:15
  by doing this, they've like broken the law and are probably going to get
• 21:18
  either fined or if the trees are killed by this action, which they may
• 21:23
  be, they will have to pay to replace them, which is like,
• 21:27
  but they don't care. They're willing to spend that money. They just don't
• 21:33
  want to compensate workers. We'll spend whatever we need to just give you the
• 21:38
  finger and make your day worse on the pettiest, most childish level possible.

  But we aren't going to consider giving you residuals on streaming, like truly so
• 21:53
  gross, Like it's almost cartoonish that kind of behavior to me, you know,
• 22:00
  writers and actors Now as a seraph, m yes and Gus says it's
• 22:03
  time for tree law. Yeah, that was like the I saw this photo
• 22:07
  on Twitter and it was nothing but tree law in the responses and all of
• 22:12
  these different like comics that have been done about tree law and infographics and stuff.

  But the thing is tree law. What it comes down to almost always
• 22:22
  is you have to spend a lot of money to fix it. And there
• 22:26
  are assholes like this who are fine with that. They'll spend the money to
• 22:30
  fix it. It's no skin off their back. They just want folks to
• 22:33
  suffer. That's literally all it's about, is making them suffer before daring to
• 22:41
  ask for fair compensation for the work that earns them millions and millions of dollars.

  It's really so fucking guys. I just want to know what on earth
• 22:56
  is wrong with people who don't want to share. I really, I really

  do like there's something wrong with you. And I feel like we should develop
• 23:07
  some sort of medication where if you take it, you suddenly feel empathy and

  care about other people where you couldn't before, and then maybe things would be
• 23:18
  different. Maybe that would change things. I would just like some empathy pills,

  and obviously these folks would not be willing to take them because they'd think
• 23:26
  they were full of nanobots or something, so we'd have to like sneak them
• 23:30
  into their drinks like they we were roofying them. But you know, there
• 23:34
  are times where I feel like involuntary drugging is not okay. This is a
• 23:40
  time where I'm kind of like, m I feel like I could turn a
• 23:42
  blind out of that. I think empathy pills are one where I'd be like
• 23:47
  yeah, go for it. Anyway, wildly off topic, sorry everybody.

  So Nami is over here. She's like on her back and it's such a

  weird pose I was trying to figure out exactly because she like fell in amongst
• 24:03
  the seats. So there are a couple of guards that look over at her
• 24:07
  and are about to strike her, but she has got her climate attack and
• 24:14
  so they are wearing they're wearing armor, and she is able to attack them
• 24:22
  with lightning, which unsurprisingly is very very effective when one is using armor.

  And she stands up after this attack and says sorry and sticks her tongue out
• 24:37
  in a way that like, I don't feel like we've ever seen from her.
• 24:40
  It was a weird little moment. But anyway, So this is when
• 24:48
  Roswald, who is the celestial dragon with the like sunglasses and the really huge
• 24:56
  mustache. This guy is a His look is really weird because his mustache is
• 25:03
  black, but his beard and his hair are blonde, and he's wearing earrings.
• 25:11
  But then he's got these like sunglasses, so there's like almost if I
• 25:15
  were looking at him minus the rest of his clothing choices, there's almost like
• 25:22
  a biker look to him. But then he's got this outfit that's so ceremonial
• 25:30
  looking, and it was it's just such a strange contrast. But he says,
• 25:37
  why can't you just accept your fate. He's mad that they're even bothering
• 25:41
  to fight back, and this is when Lufy yells at him, our friend
• 25:47
  isn't for sale. So he says, to summon the navy admiral and the
• 25:52
  warships will make these pirates suffer. Then we jump to the outside where we've
• 26:00
  still got us up on the way with Brooke and you guys. They're getting
• 26:07
  a report via a transponder snail and they're describing all of the people who are
• 26:14
  already there, and they call Frankie the exhibitionist because he's wearing the speedos.
• 26:22
  I fucking died. I don't that. I don't know why that got me
• 26:26
  so bad. I think the reason it got me is because, like,
• 26:30
  focusing on looks and what somebody's wearing in a shaming way has been really reserved
• 26:36
  for the women in this show, and for it to be applied to him
• 26:41
  was like very unexpected. And I couldn't even really blame them because he is
• 26:48
  literally just walking around in underwear, so it's a bizarre choice, and sure
• 26:53
  you could kind of look at him and go, what the hell is that
• 26:57
  about? But yeah, that fucking crack me up. And it turns out
• 27:03
  that Usop, who I really I didn't expect this reaction from him. Usop
• 27:11
  is basically like, I can't believe just me, Brooke and Robin aren't there.
• 27:17
  We're gonna be the last ones to arrive. I can't be last.

  Come on, and he starts to fight with the guys who's flying fish bike
• 27:29
  he's riding on Now it makes sense in terms of the fact that he wants
• 27:37
  to look like a hero, and so the way he phrases it is like
• 27:41
  the great USAP can't be late. But I expected fully for Usop to be
• 27:48
  kind of like because you know, he still does get afraid, and we
• 27:52
  do see that here once he's like on the roof because he's got a hype
• 27:56
  thing, which I deeply sympathize with. But I really thought he was going
• 28:03
  to be more of the attitude like, oh good, by the time we
• 28:07
  get there, will be able to just help him clean up the mess and
• 28:11
  we won't have to worry about this. So, oh my god, you
• 28:18
  guys, I don't know how I didn't notice this Ralely on his way in,
• 28:25
  he bumps into one of the guys and he pickpockets him. I saw
• 28:30
  him take the money, but I don't think I quite realized that it was
• 28:33
  the bumping into him that you know, that was him pickpocketing him. So
• 28:37
  I said that I wanted to see him rob the person. I got to
• 28:41
  see him rob somebody. Not quite as satisfying because there wasn't the benefit of
• 28:45
  the guy knowing what was happening to him as it went down, But it's
• 28:49
  still pretty good. But yeah, so Usap's like urgency to get there I
• 28:56
  just genuinely found surprising because I expected him to be very willing to sit back
• 29:00
  and let them take care of it for the most part and then just like
• 29:03
  swoop in at the end like the fight, Like this is all just our
• 29:12
  guys right now. But the other pirates are around and we're just not really
• 29:18
  seeing them participating in things. We have Zoro cutting off the top of the
• 29:25
  tank that Camy is in, and I want to say, in the midst
• 29:29
  of all of this, Disco is still just standing on stage watching and isn't
• 29:34
  making any moves, isn't defending anybody, and is agitated at seeing that Camy
• 29:41
  is looking like she's on the brink of being let free, because he thought
• 29:45
  he was going to be getting millions of berries for her. At this point,
• 29:52
  all of the pirates who have been standing around just sort of watching everything
• 29:56
  chime in with their feeling about Lufy, and there's some real respect. Especially.
• 30:03
  They had heard about how crazy Lufy was, and a lot of them
• 30:11
  were, I think, expecting those to be sort of exaggerated stories. But
• 30:15
  this man has just started an entire showdown in this sales room, is the
• 30:22
  way that I keep thinking of it, amphitheater, and it's proving that he
• 30:27
  deserves the reputation that he's got, and that's just really fun. I enjoy
• 30:33
  whenever Lufy gets to like prove to people, Oh no, I get call
• 30:37
  fucking nuts for a reason. So the next issue that we've got to deal
• 30:47
  with is the caller on Kami, because they busted her tank open. But
• 30:52
  the caller obviously, and this is something that like the we don't actually find
• 31:02
  out how he did it, and I'm assuming that it's just hockey control,
• 31:07
  which I don't even still really get what that means. But it's okay,
• 31:12
  but Frankie is like desperately looking for the keys in this scene, and everybody
• 31:19
  is yelling it really not to do it because it's explosive, and he's coming
• 31:23
  toward her and they're freaking out, and I just was like, look,
• 31:27
  I get it. He knows what's going on. I have no doubt he's
• 31:30
  going to know how to take it off her without killing her. But I
• 31:36
  really would have appreciated it if he would just have spoken to them and assured
• 31:41
  them that he knew what he was doing instead of swooping in this way and
• 31:48
  making everybody think that she had died. Because when he does take it off,
• 31:52
  it doesn't kill her, but it still explodes and it looks really bad
• 31:56
  for a minute, so Papaicu is like, oh my god, Camis's crying
• 32:00
