- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty's coming up?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Where is that? Where did I put that?
- 0:17Speaker 3: What the entire list of everything that is put together
- 0:20Speaker 3: here every single day. You want me to give you
- 0:23Speaker 3: the run down, I'll sign it becomes sind I just
- 0:27Speaker 3: misplaced this one, and now.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen. Here's Bill Handle,
- 0:36Speaker 1: and good morning everybody.
- 0:38Speaker 2: It is Handle here in the morning crew on a Tuesday,
- 0:42Speaker 2: January twenty seven. The month is almost over, as we're
- 0:46Speaker 2: well into the new year, Christmas is almost here, and
- 0:51Speaker 2: then we'll start another one. All right, first and foremost, CONO,
- 0:56Speaker 2: good morning, that's right, thank you, Good morning. Good how's
- 0:59Speaker 2: the car? It's great, but we all have an invested
- 1:02Speaker 2: interest in that car, Neil, good morning.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Listening to that opening, it make me wonder when you've
- 1:09Speaker 3: got your colonoscopy, Eryl, can you look for my.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Car keys Yes. As a matter of fact, if we
- 1:16Speaker 2: it's still up there on Instagram, the colonoscopy the inside
- 1:21Speaker 2: of my inners. A lot of it is to push
- 1:24Speaker 2: for people to get the colonoscopy because it's it's really important.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And yesterday we found out yesterday that Heather Brook Brooker
- 1:32Speaker 2: is getting her colonospy and actually asked, is it as
- 1:35Speaker 2: bad as they say? Worse? Far worse? Is it dangerous?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Very very dangerous. She's probably going to die. She will
- 1:44Speaker 2: not be with us, Amy, Good morning, good morning. And
- 1:49Speaker 2: today is your birthday, right it is? Today is your birthday?
- 1:53Speaker 2: And of course you know I mean because it's not
- 1:56Speaker 2: appropriate to ask your age? What's your age? You know?
- 1:59Speaker 5: I used to not be one of those people like
- 2:01Speaker 5: it go it just doesn't matter. But now I'm thirty
- 2:03Speaker 5: nine again, So.
- 2:04Speaker 2: That's thirty nine again. Let me tell you you're thirty nine
- 2:07Speaker 2: like I'm Rex the Wonder Horse.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Okay, how am you doing?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Rex?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah? Just fine, just fine.
- 2:14Speaker 5: It didn't used to bug me, but now it does,
- 2:16Speaker 5: so I don't.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Oh, okay, your age? You know. I'm getting the point
- 2:19Speaker 2: now where you reach a point. Here. Here's the way
- 2:21Speaker 2: it was described to me, in terms of looking at
- 2:26Speaker 2: attractive women or even unattractive women, when you're in your
- 2:30Speaker 2: twenties or thirties, it's just considered normal. By the time
- 2:34Speaker 2: you hit your forties or fifties, you're a pervert if
- 2:37Speaker 2: you're looking at young women when you in your sixties
- 2:42Speaker 2: and your seventies, it just becomes cute. And I have
- 2:46Speaker 2: now just become cute. So happy birthday to you thirty
- 2:51Speaker 2: nine years old. Yeah, thank you, Yeah, yeah, give me
- 2:54Speaker 2: a break, all right, Neil, good morning. I just said
- 2:55Speaker 2: good morning to you. Colon askby picture up and running
- 2:59Speaker 2: at at Bill Handle show.
- 3:01Speaker 5: And it's still on Neil's background.
- 3:03Speaker 2: It is still on Neil's best that's from last week. Yeah,
- 3:06Speaker 2: I know, I had it next week, Neil is Neil
- 3:09Speaker 2: can hear the way Bill?
- 3:11Speaker 3: Sorry, we're leaning towards air fresheners as the giveaway of you.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Okay, that's good, it's very strong. I had a T shirt.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I still have a couple of them in the garage.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I remember we had the T shirt made many years
- 3:25Speaker 2: ago with that picture on it. And there's will Cole Streiver,
- 3:30Speaker 2: good morning, good morning Bill. There you are, and and
- 3:33Speaker 2: god you're in a puffy jacket again. And do you
- 3:36Speaker 2: just run cold? No matter where you are, it's cold
- 3:39Speaker 2: in here, it really is. Yes. Shannon brought in a
- 3:43Speaker 2: personal heater she bought on Amazon exactly. Really yeah, okay,
- 3:48Speaker 2: it's not just me, all right, it's fair enough. Yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 2: all right, I can't think of anything else. Anybody have
- 3:57Speaker 2: anything to bring up? No, go right to the news.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Maybe let's do it. Sure, why not, let's do it.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Let's get exciting. Birthday girl and all. Okay, thirty nine
- 4:10Speaker 2: multiplied by how much? Let's figure that one out. Okay,
- 4:16Speaker 2: moving on, and of course you're Disneyland, you know sweater
- 4:19Speaker 2: things which you have to wear, right birthday bling? Absolutely?
- 4:24Speaker 2: All right, guys, let's do it. It's time for handle
- 4:26Speaker 2: on the news on this Tuesday morning with Amy who
- 4:31Speaker 2: is back? Neil who is back? I me wah, who
- 4:37Speaker 2: is back? Lead story. This whole thing with what's happening
- 4:44Speaker 2: in Minneapolis has exploded, and we're we're going to talk
- 4:48Speaker 2: about that because the administration is I mean there at
- 4:52Speaker 2: some point you just go there crazy. This isn't even political,
- 4:55Speaker 2: it's just their nuts anyway. Gregory Bovino, who is the
- 5:01Speaker 2: head of he's head Border Patrol, if I'm not mistaken,
- 5:06Speaker 2: and he is there at the front line and he's
- 5:10Speaker 2: throwing the grenades, the smoke grenades and at these demonstrators
- 5:16Speaker 2: and it's just it's insanity. Anyway. Because of the shooting
- 5:19Speaker 2: that happened in Minneapolis, the killing of Alex Preddy and
- 5:26Speaker 2: it has exploded, and he and christinome Is. Preddy was
- 5:32Speaker 2: attacking the agents. Preddy was there to kill the agents.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It was going to be a massacre. He was there
- 5:39Speaker 2: brandishing his weapon. He was shooting them up. He had
- 5:41Speaker 2: a howitzer with him. He was about to carpet bomb
- 5:45Speaker 2: all of the ICE agents. I mean, just go on
- 5:49Speaker 2: and on. Anyway, they're getting them, getting rid of them,
- 5:53Speaker 2: leaving Minnesota. It'll be happened today and they're bringing in
- 5:57Speaker 2: home and Tom Homan, who is the immigrations are so
- 6:01Speaker 2: we'll see. I mean, not much going to happen. You know,
- 6:04Speaker 2: they're not gonna there's going to be no not even
- 6:09Speaker 2: close to any accountability on his part or anybody's part.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I don't put a pause on all of this.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Way's what you know. Even Republicans are thinking. Ted Cruz said, hey,
- 6:21Speaker 2: you know what, calm down, guys. Even staunch, staunch Trump
- 6:26Speaker 2: supporters are going, wait a minute, you know what, this
- 6:28Speaker 2: may be going a little bit too far.
- 6:31Speaker 3: So even if you want border control does not mean
- 6:34Speaker 3: you want to see people treated like this. And Americans
- 6:38Speaker 3: are listen, some marketting nuts and getting way too close
- 6:41Speaker 3: to the side of the creek and falling in quite honestly.
- 6:46Speaker 4: But you know, but it just why not just press pause?
- 6:50Speaker 2: It's just and it is so insane. Remember how much
- 6:53Speaker 2: fun I make all the time I say, the President
- 6:55Speaker 2: says the sky is blue while it's raining, the sky
- 6:59Speaker 2: is blue. This one is not an exaggeration. You have
- 7:04Speaker 2: Preddy attacking the agents. Look at the video, Preddy taking
- 7:09Speaker 2: on his gun. Look at the video. Just none of
- 7:13Speaker 2: that is true. The administration straight out is saying, don't
- 7:18Speaker 2: the video that you see it's your lying eyes exactly.
- 7:22Speaker 2: All right, moving on, we'll cover a lot more about
- 7:25Speaker 2: this coming up.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Well, speaking of that, they're going to take a closer look.
- 7:29Speaker 5: The Department of Homeland Security is investigating whether the Border
- 7:32Speaker 5: Patrol agents thought they were being fired upon when one
- 7:35Speaker 5: shot and killed Alex pretty over the weekend. The New
- 7:38Speaker 5: York Post says an accidental discharge of Preddy's six hour
- 7:44Speaker 5: p three point twenty pistol, which was being held by
- 7:48Speaker 5: an agent after it was taken away from him, may
- 7:50Speaker 5: have made authorities believe their lives were in danger.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And by the way, I'm glad that DHS is investigating this.
- 7:59Speaker 2: After Steinoams said outright, it was a justified shooting. Preddy
- 8:03Speaker 2: was a domestic terrorist. Preddi was brandishing his weapon. Preddy
- 8:07Speaker 2: was there to massacre agents. And now they're going to
- 8:11Speaker 2: open up an investigation after the government has already determined
- 8:16Speaker 2: it was a justified shooting. How's that for an investigation?
- 8:20Speaker 4: Israel Israel.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Israel recovered the remains of the last of the captive
- 8:26Speaker 3: from the Gaza Strip just Monday. They were going through
- 8:29Speaker 3: a cemetery to unearth the body of twenty four year
- 8:32Speaker 3: old police officer. And this helps, you know, wrap up
- 8:39Speaker 3: at least part of this story, or part of the
- 8:42Speaker 3: chapters here. The Israeli military said that it found and
- 8:47Speaker 3: brought back the body of Master Sergeant Ran Gabilli, a
- 8:52Speaker 3: member of the Elite police counter terrorism unit. And I
- 8:57Speaker 3: guess he had fractured his shoulder, but had rushed into
- 9:00Speaker 3: battle as Moss led. That surprise as aled on October seventh,
- 9:04Speaker 3: twenty twenty three, and that's set off this whole thing,
- 9:08Speaker 3: and that's the that's the recovery the last of the
- 9:12Speaker 3: fallen is right.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And based on that, Israel now pursuant to the agreement,
- 9:18Speaker 2: is to open the Rafa crossing between Egypt and Gaza.
- 9:25Speaker 4: So this is the next big step, next.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Big step where it'll be tens of thousands of Palestinians
- 9:32Speaker 2: are going to be able to go home to their
- 9:35Speaker 2: rubble which used to be their houses, and that is
- 9:40Speaker 2: unfortunately for them. Eighty percent of Gaza has been destroyed.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I mean, there's no place for them to go even
- 9:48Speaker 2: and a lot of them are going to stay in Egypt.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's devastating as to what happened. And
- 9:54Speaker 2: by the way, those people still no outrage at Kamas
- 9:58Speaker 2: at all. No, and you know, hey, it's Israel's fault,
- 10:03Speaker 2: which it is, by the way, in terms of the
- 10:04Speaker 2: way Gaza has been attacked, there's no question about that.
- 10:09Speaker 2: But you know, according to so many people, it all
- 10:12Speaker 2: started October eighth, not October seventh. October eighth is when
- 10:16Speaker 2: it all started, when Israel decided to attack. All right,
- 10:19Speaker 2: let's do one more and then we'll take our break.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Maybe turnabout is fair play. California Governor Newsom says he's
- 10:29Speaker 5: launching a review of TikTok because of complaints that started
- 10:33Speaker 5: over the weekend. Some users are claiming censorship as they
- 10:35Speaker 5: tried to post videos related to ice enforcement and the
- 10:39Speaker 5: shooting in Minneapolis. The deadly shooting in Minneapolis. TikTok, which
- 10:43Speaker 5: recently split off its US operations in a deal backed
- 10:46Speaker 5: by the Trump administration, has attributed the issues to a
- 10:50Speaker 5: power outage at a data center.
- 10:53Speaker 4: So yeah, now.
- 10:55Speaker 5: They're saying that the Trump administration is censoring, and before
- 10:59Speaker 5: there were a lot of calls about the Biden administration sensoring.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know which way this is going to go.
- 11:05Speaker 2: But bigger story for TikTok, it's being caught up in
- 11:09Speaker 2: a lawsuit, which I'm going to talk about later on.
- 11:11Speaker 2: This starts today, by the way, huge civil lawsuit.
- 11:15Speaker 3: We'll talk about that, all right, So unintended consequences. Maybe
- 11:20Speaker 3: the European Union and India are concluding this free trade
- 11:25Speaker 3: agreement two decades of negotiations, they say, part of an
- 11:31Speaker 3: effort to deepen economic ties. But it's not just those
- 11:36Speaker 3: past two decades. It's the momentum that has been gained
- 11:39Speaker 3: due to the Trump administration, suggressive tariffs and the policies
- 11:44Speaker 3: therein So yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Well, look what's happening. The United States is being completely marginalized.
- 11:51Speaker 2: First of all, this agreement with EU and India basically
- 11:55Speaker 2: bypasses any trade with the United States involved in that
- 11:58Speaker 2: same thing with China and Canada, where President Trump went
- 12:03Speaker 2: uh got very upset and said, number one, uh, we
- 12:08Speaker 2: are We're not going to do We're going to throw
- 12:11Speaker 2: tariffs up on uh the I'm gonna throw tariffs on Canada.
- 12:17Speaker 2: And then of course he threatened to put tariffs on
- 12:19Speaker 2: any country that did not support his position to uh
- 12:24Speaker 2: an except Greenland. And here's what's happening is the world
- 12:27Speaker 2: is quickly realizing not only in terms of stability and
- 12:32Speaker 2: politically but economically. Uh, they've got to do it without
- 12:35Speaker 2: the United States. There has to be a world economy
- 12:37Speaker 2: without the United States, which is the juggernaut of the
- 12:41Speaker 2: world economy. It's just it's just too crazy. Nothing like this,
- 12:46Speaker 2: nothing like this. There was attempts, but nothing uh nothing this.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Here's why. Because the President calls for tariffs, well, how
- 12:55Speaker 2: much power does he actually have. The Supreme Court is
- 12:58Speaker 2: going to rule on that. In the meantime, let me
- 13:00Speaker 2: tell you how easy it is for him to, let's say,
- 13:03Speaker 2: throw one hundred percent tariff. He tells one of his
- 13:08Speaker 2: administrative assistance or someone who's head in one of the departments,
- 13:13Speaker 2: draft me a directive. I want it on my desk.
- 13:16Speaker 2: In thirty minutes, he signs it, the tariff kicks in. Literally,
- 13:21Speaker 2: he can do it in a matter of minutes. So
- 13:23Speaker 2: look what he did in Switzerland. And he woke up
- 13:28Speaker 2: in the morning, right and the thing with Greenland. So
- 13:32Speaker 2: he immediately said to these countries, you're going to get
- 13:36Speaker 2: tariff if you don't back me up with Greenland. They didn't.
- 13:40Speaker 2: He instituted tariffs. Then he meets with the head of
- 13:45Speaker 2: I think of NATO or one of the organizations, and
- 13:49Speaker 2: three hours later he rescinds the tariffs that he signed
- 13:51Speaker 2: three hours before. You know, the world can't take this.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I mean they have no idea, which is why gold
- 13:57Speaker 2: is going through the roof. I mean it is the
- 14:00Speaker 2: sheer stability of the world. Economy is really at odds
- 14:06Speaker 2: here and people are frankly very the president has this
- 14:10Speaker 2: much power.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Nice segue into Amy's story.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, moving on.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Time to go to the jewelry box. Gold prices have
- 14:22Speaker 5: sored past five thousand dollars per ounce for the first time.
- 14:26Speaker 5: The precious metal top fifty one trading yesterday. Silver and
- 14:30Speaker 5: platinum also reached all time highs at over one hundred
- 14:34Speaker 5: and twenty eight hundred dollars respectively. Gold has nearly doubled
- 14:38Speaker 5: from a year ago when it was trading for about
- 14:41Speaker 5: twenty six sixty.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Can you imagine. Hey, here's a little factoid. How are
- 14:47Speaker 2: gold prices determined? Do you have any idea how every day?
- 14:53Speaker 2: You know, gold prices are established. Here is the price
- 14:56Speaker 2: of gold? How is that determined? You have any idea
- 15:01Speaker 2: how that works? Finger? Do do what's strong? Yeah, that's strong.
- 15:07Speaker 2: The winder it is, the higher the goal prices go. Uh,
- 15:11Speaker 2: this is one that's kind of interesting. A bunch of
- 15:14Speaker 2: guys in a conference room in London meet in the
- 15:19Speaker 2: morning and they figure out what the price of gold
- 15:23Speaker 2: is going to be that day. Wow, that's just the
- 15:26Speaker 2: way it goes. That's now. Obviously they start arbitrary. They
- 15:29Speaker 2: look at the markets, they look at the economy, and
- 15:31Speaker 2: I mean it's pretty specific. I mean, there's no question
- 15:33Speaker 2: about it. But that's how it works. Uh, it's kind
- 15:38Speaker 2: of interesting. Like the Fed. You know, the FED determines
- 15:41Speaker 2: interest rates. They sit down and have a meeting and uh,
- 15:44Speaker 2: look at the economy, look at inflation and decide, okay,
- 15:47Speaker 2: this is going to be this is what the interest
- 15:50Speaker 2: rate is going to be gold.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Same with like barrels of boil as well.
- 15:55Speaker 2: They just know barrels as well. No, that's just a
- 15:57Speaker 2: world no, no, no, one determines that. That's just the
- 16:00Speaker 2: world market that evens out on its own. It's demand,
- 16:03Speaker 2: its supply. Uh, it's politics that's very different. So that's
- 16:09Speaker 2: by the market. Gold No, it's uh, well, of course
- 16:14Speaker 2: it does in the big picture, but it is determined
- 16:17Speaker 2: by a bunch of people in London. I've always wondered
- 16:21Speaker 2: how that is. I always wonder what snacks they have
- 16:24Speaker 2: at those meetings. Goldfish, very strong, very strong, well said.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Uh, all right, I don't know why I've got this
- 16:35Speaker 3: story and not Amy me either, Amy, Amy.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Amy just champing up. Amy take it. Let Amy take it.
- 16:41Speaker 4: That's because it is for your birthday. Amy, please take
- 16:44Speaker 4: the story.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Jackie and Shadow have another egg. Our big Bear eagles
- 16:49Speaker 5: have now two eggs this season. She later first went
- 16:54Speaker 5: on Friday, late Friday, and then yesterday. Actually I was
- 16:58Speaker 5: watching the feed. I just happened to turn it on
- 17:00Speaker 5: while I was doing the show prep and she stood
- 17:02Speaker 5: up and I went, holy cow, there's another egg. So
- 17:05Speaker 5: she laid her egg at like five eleven and she
- 17:09Speaker 5: they had three egg lits eaglitz last year. Only two survived,
- 17:14Speaker 5: but we'll see she could still lay another egg too.
- 17:17Speaker 2: And you never watched him do it. Yeah, we're talking
- 17:20Speaker 2: about Yeah, this is egle porn is what this is about.
- 17:26Speaker 2: This camera, it's straight out eagle porn.
- 17:29Speaker 5: I don't think they have sex in the nest though,
- 17:30Speaker 5: do they don't?
- 17:32Speaker 2: They fly around and connecting the air and it's just
- 17:38Speaker 2: it's very weird. How Yeah, I don't know.
- 17:43Speaker 4: I'm mile high, am I?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Right? Bill? Yeah? That's high high?
- 17:48Speaker 5: Right?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh, Jackie's up.
- 17:52Speaker 5: You can see both eggs right now?
- 17:53Speaker 4: Okay, yeah you can.
- 17:56Speaker 2: And Amy Amy has a well.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Tiggers are a determined bunch. We found that out. Of course.
- 18:03Speaker 5: There's graffiti all over the place along southern California freeways,
- 18:08Speaker 5: and in an effort to make things look nicer, cal
- 18:13Speaker 5: Trans installed artificial ivy on the walls of the one
- 18:17Speaker 5: to one freeway in downtown La. Sounds nice, right, looks nice? Nope,
- 18:22Speaker 5: taggers got to it. They just changed the color of
- 18:24Speaker 5: the paint and they've now spray painted the.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Because it's it's special ivy. It's supposed to be anti
- 18:31Speaker 3: graffiti Ivy.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it turns out not to be.
- 18:35Speaker 3: And it was this big deal that you've got Newsome
- 18:38Speaker 3: and at all, you know, beautifying California off the one
- 18:43Speaker 3: on one there, it's a horrible area. There always always
- 18:47Speaker 3: graffiti on the walls.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, which is why I've always said graffiti should be
- 18:53Speaker 2: a crime with a minute. The first time out minimum
- 18:55Speaker 2: of ten years and you know, second time out, you
- 18:59Speaker 2: get it's twenty to life.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Have you ever seen somebody doing graffiti? Though I've never
- 19:05Speaker 5: seen it. It's just it all of a sudden it appears.
- 19:07Speaker 5: I'm like, when are they doing it? How do they
- 19:09Speaker 5: do it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: In the middle of the night, or the ones on
- 19:11Speaker 2: the freeway, the signs that overhang the freeway, and how
- 19:15Speaker 2: the hell do they do that? You know, at least
- 19:18Speaker 2: you know, you'd want a couple of them to fall
- 19:21Speaker 2: down in front of traffic and get you.
- 19:23Speaker 3: No Trump for graffiti people and taggers, don't approach them.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yeah, let them do what they're doing.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because you get shot those great stories too.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Sometimes it's not what you're doing but the way you're
- 19:36Speaker 3: doing it. And Trump's immigration approval is dropping, so the
- 19:42Speaker 3: American approval of the US President Donald Trump and his
- 19:46Speaker 3: immigration policy fell to its lowest level since his return
- 19:50Speaker 3: to the White House. This is a poll through Routers
- 19:54Speaker 3: and ipsos and the majority of Americans saying is crack
- 19:58Speaker 3: down on immigration has gone too far. Just thirty nine
- 20:02Speaker 3: percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing
- 20:07Speaker 3: on an immigration, so says this poll, down from forty
- 20:11Speaker 3: one percent earlier this month, while fifty three percent disapprove.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'll tell you the story. That part of the story
- 20:19Speaker 2: that I find incredible, and that is and as you reported,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and this is right off of the Reuter story, just
- 20:27Speaker 2: thirty nine percent of Americans approve of the job that
- 20:30Speaker 2: Trump is doing an immigration. Thirty nine percent of Americans
- 20:34Speaker 2: are in favor of what's going on. I mean that
- 20:39Speaker 2: is don't you find that insane? Well?
- 20:43Speaker 3: What I mean is that about Do you think that's
- 20:46Speaker 3: about ignorance or that's about blind legiance to Maga?
- 20:49Speaker 2: I think is blind allegiance. I believe it's just blind allegiance.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Now I don't know how if it broke down. Does
- 20:58Speaker 2: is this job assessment? Is this overall that he is
- 21:04Speaker 2: anti immigration? Did it include this is what he is doing?
- 21:09Speaker 2: Do you approve of what's happening in Minneapolis, for example,
- 21:13Speaker 2: would it be less than thirty nine percent. Yeah, it
- 21:16Speaker 2: doesn't break it down to that extent, but it's we'll
- 21:21Speaker 2: see if a few more of these things happen. I
- 21:23Speaker 2: think the White House is walking this back. I don't
- 21:26Speaker 2: think you're hearing that. For example, Predie came there to
- 21:29Speaker 2: massacre agents and American terrorists. Domestic terrorism.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Anyways, moving on, the USA may not be the place
- 21:41Speaker 5: to be. Mark Peith is an anti corruption expert and
- 21:46Speaker 5: law professor. He chaired the Independent Governance Committee to oversee
- 21:50Speaker 5: FIFA's reform processes last decade, but pieces President Trump's international
- 21:56Speaker 5: aggression and violations within the US make it too whis
- 22:00Speaker 5: for fans to travel from abroad, So he says, if
- 22:03Speaker 5: we consider everything we've discussed, there's only one piece of
- 22:07Speaker 5: advice for fans. Stay away from the USA. He said,
- 22:11Speaker 5: you'll see it better on TV.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Anyway, you don't usually hear that you watch. I'm starting
- 22:18Speaker 2: to really enjoy football. I've become a football fan, and
- 22:21Speaker 2: I've gone to I think two football games in person,
- 22:25Speaker 2: and I have found that it is far better watching
- 22:30Speaker 2: sports events on team.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Oh, nothing like it. Nothing compares to a live sporting event, but.
- 22:37Speaker 2: You know, going there, driving there, parking, dealing with all
- 22:42Speaker 2: of the hassle, not really understanding what's going on on
- 22:46Speaker 2: the screen. I was watching Fox who now Fox on
- 22:50Speaker 2: who carry NFL games I think Friday night or Sunday
- 22:54Speaker 2: Night or whatever the hell because it's all split up
- 22:56Speaker 2: between NBC and ESPN and all that. Tom Brady is
- 23:01Speaker 2: now doing the the announcing or I think he's the
- 23:06Speaker 2: color guy on the football games. His analysis is so
- 23:11Speaker 2: amazing that gives you a deep understanding of watching football games.
- 23:17Speaker 2: And you know, I've been to a football game. It's
- 23:19Speaker 2: just screaming and ranning and raving and the other team
- 23:21Speaker 2: is on there. Yeah, bnch of hot dogs and beer.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I know what forty dollars for a hot dog and beer.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I get that. And then parking and walking there, and
- 23:30Speaker 2: then getting out of there and sitting in a parking
- 23:32Speaker 2: lot for forty five minutes or an hour as you
- 23:34Speaker 2: try to leave or come in. Yeah, that's so exciting.
- 23:37Speaker 2: And then I've had the pleasure of going to Green
- 23:39Speaker 2: Bay in the middle of winter. That's pleasant too. Outside
- 23:44Speaker 2: aluminum seats where you sit down. Boy, that's pleasant when
- 23:48Speaker 2: it's ten degrees below zero. That's that's my idea of football.
- 23:54Speaker 2: So I agree with set bladder, you know what, don't
- 23:59Speaker 2: even bother And also, you know, you get one view.
- 24:03Speaker 2: For example, where are you going to be if you're
- 24:05Speaker 2: watching giant slalom or if you're watching downhill on skiing,
- 24:12Speaker 2: you know, the camera shows these kier going all the
- 24:14Speaker 2: way down you're at one point. I'm telling you it's
- 24:18Speaker 2: absolutely right. They shouldn't even they shouldn't even have anybody
- 24:21Speaker 2: there live. Yeah, if you want to deal with it,
- 24:23Speaker 2: go ahead, Okay, sorry thinking of that, you know, yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 2: I just went on.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Well, now you have other possible boycotts, and of course
- 24:33Speaker 3: California and Los Angeles are always wringing their hands. This time,
- 24:37Speaker 3: the Los Angeles City Council have expressed concern because there
- 24:42Speaker 3: could be organized there could be organized boycotts of the
- 24:46Speaker 3: twenty twenty eight Olympics, which could cost the city financially.
- 24:50Speaker 3: So because of our national government.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think I think you're going to have
- 24:57Speaker 2: a hard time with that man. People coming in from
- 25:01Speaker 2: around the world. I think it's definitely gone. I think
- 25:03Speaker 2: tickets are going to be available, if nothing else, not
- 25:06Speaker 2: only for political purposes, just to show Americans will will
- 25:10Speaker 2: show you that we don't want to show up. But
- 25:12Speaker 2: I think people are going to be genuinely upset if they.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Let's say, you come in from Bolivia, writer Argentina, and
- 25:20Speaker 2: you look like your Latino oops, and you don't speak
- 25:25Speaker 2: any English. Oops. By the way, I'm gonna do that
- 25:29Speaker 2: story a little bit later on too.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Okay, could it be a sign of one more foot
- 25:35Speaker 5: in the grave? The Washington Post well had an internal
- 25:42Speaker 5: memo that obviously got external because the New York Times
- 25:45Speaker 5: got ahold of it, telling the staff that Jeff Bezos's
- 25:49Speaker 5: regime had decided not to send a contingent of reporters
- 25:52Speaker 5: to the Winter Olympics, of course, the opening ceremonies just
- 25:55Speaker 5: two weeks away. The Post walked that back a little
- 25:57Speaker 5: bit and said, well, we're going to send four porters
- 26:00Speaker 5: to Italy. But that concession was quickly drawn out by
- 26:04Speaker 5: reports and rumors that in apocalyptic round of layoffs is coming.
- 26:08Speaker 5: At the Post.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Even local reporters go to the Olympics. Channel four, Channel
- 26:16Speaker 2: seven here locally go to the Olympics. Even radio stations
- 26:22Speaker 2: certainly not anybody, And I Heeart go to the Olympics.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Well, I'll be going in twenty twenty eight.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, we will all be going in twenty twenty or
- 26:32Speaker 2: I just may leave. Nineteen. When it was nineteen eighty
- 26:35Speaker 2: four and it was the La Olympics, I got out
- 26:37Speaker 2: of town. I went to Australia and I was watching
- 26:42Speaker 2: TV and the place was this was a ghost town
- 26:45Speaker 2: in Yeah, everybody thought it was gonna be so jam
- 26:49Speaker 2: no one, no one's on the road. It was like
- 26:51Speaker 2: COVID days.
- 26:53Speaker 4: I was in high school.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, good for you.
- 26:56Speaker 4: AnyWho, we're talking about my age?
- 26:59Speaker 2: Right, thirty nine?
- 27:00Speaker 5: Right, I mean yep, thirty nine?
- 27:02Speaker 2: Okay, all right.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Noma, one of the world's most exclusive fine dining restaurants,
- 27:09Speaker 3: is coming to LA We've talked about this. They announced
- 27:12Speaker 3: a sixteen week Los Angeles residency. It's more than a
- 27:16Speaker 3: pop up, but it's going to be a special affair.
- 27:18Speaker 3: The seats are costing fifteen hundred dollars per guest, but
- 27:23Speaker 3: the promise is will be fulfilled, trust me. Tickets went
- 27:27Speaker 3: on sale what was it, yesterday morning and they were
- 27:32Speaker 3: done in sixty seconds, quicker than anybody thought, and they
- 27:36Speaker 3: completely sold out.
- 27:38Speaker 2: This is a Copenhagen chef I've never heard of him.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I'm sure you know who he is.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, And this is a this is a real feather
- 27:46Speaker 3: in the cap that he's coming to the east eastern
- 27:49Speaker 3: side of Los Angeles in the Silver Lake area.
- 27:53Speaker 4: It's going to be a big deal.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. The part of the story that I find
- 27:56Speaker 2: absolutely fascinating is that it will also be popping up
- 28:01Speaker 2: at Courage Bagels from noon to two pm today, and
- 28:08Speaker 2: it is an event. They're going to serve two hundred
- 28:10Speaker 2: and fifty bagels at twenty five bucks apiece. And here
- 28:15Speaker 2: it is. It's a hot Sea salt sesame bagel with
- 28:19Speaker 2: oyster mushrooms, pumpkin boushie whatever they hell. That is black pepper,
- 28:23Speaker 2: a savory rose fudge, and anastcium and bergoma or burgmot.
- 28:31Speaker 2: That sounds the whole thing sounds absolutely disgusting. It is, Oh,
- 28:37Speaker 2: come on, come on, you know, a rose fudge on
- 28:41Speaker 2: top of a come on, let me alone.
- 28:44Speaker 4: That was Kono's nickname in prison.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. Let's not do that, Yeah.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Come on, rose.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Okay, here's a fun virus. We always enjoy viruses they
- 28:55Speaker 2: kill you.
- 28:55Speaker 5: Yeah, we got another one. It's called the NEPA virus.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Two cases have been reported in India. Doesn't sound like much.
- 29:04Speaker 5: But here's the problem. Two nurses at a private hospital
- 29:09Speaker 5: came down with it. The virus can cause mild, too
- 29:13Speaker 5: severe infections. But doesn't sound so bad yet until you
- 29:17Speaker 5: say that the case fatality rate of the virus is
- 29:21Speaker 5: forty to seventy five percent.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a problem. Yep.
- 29:27Speaker 5: That's like eat bullet.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty bad. It's they're describing as a zoonotic virus.
- 29:33Speaker 2: It spreads between animals and humans. Fruit bats are the
- 29:38Speaker 2: natural hosts.
- 29:40Speaker 5: More bats.
- 29:41Speaker 2: How do you have sex with fruit bats? I don't
- 29:44Speaker 2: quite quite understand that, you know.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Exactly only like other boy?
- 29:48Speaker 2: Oh I thought what I thought? You know, between humans
- 29:51Speaker 2: and animals it always involves sex. Okay, never mind.
- 29:58Speaker 4: You know what.
- 29:59Speaker 3: The lifespan somebody with that virus is the same as
- 30:02Speaker 3: your jokes.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Okay, thank you so much, thank you, thank you. I
- 30:07Speaker 2: think we have do we have one more ready to go?
- 30:09Speaker 2: All right?
- 30:10Speaker 3: Southwest Airlines, The last of the battle for your seats
- 30:15Speaker 3: is gone. The passengers made their final boarding time scrambles
- 30:19Speaker 3: for seats like yesterday. Now the carriers preparing to end
- 30:22Speaker 3: that open seating system that we all know and love
- 30:26Speaker 3: and set it apart for like, you know, fifty years
- 30:29Speaker 3: or something where you could go what twenty four hours
- 30:32Speaker 3: or so before, and you could sign in and find
- 30:35Speaker 3: your seats.
- 30:36Speaker 2: But it used to be. It used to be first come,
- 30:38Speaker 2: first serve. Literally, there were no ABC lines. You just
- 30:41Speaker 2: line up and you grab any seat you want. And
- 30:44Speaker 2: then they started moving inexorably to a seats the a crowd.
- 30:49Speaker 2: You pay more money for it, well yeah, and then
- 30:51Speaker 2: you pay more money for your emergency row, and then
- 30:55Speaker 2: you pay more money and more money, and they got
- 30:57Speaker 2: rid of their two bags for free too. Was the
- 31:00Speaker 2: last airline that did that, unfortunately. All right, we're done, guys.
