- 0:11Yeah. Hey there, Brett, it's the dunce
- 0:53responding to your video. I really don't know what to say,
- 1:02Brett, other than what the Spirit of the Lord Jesus would
- 1:11inspire me to share with you, Brett.
- 1:16We all have a choice, brother. We all have free will and in
- 1:23this natural existence here on planet Earth, let's just say
- 1:33that it is a deception, the experience that we have here in
- 1:41this realm. Because the irony, Brett, for me
- 1:48is you said some, well, rather unkind things.
- 1:56And I'm relatively certain that there would be people that would
- 2:01disagree with you particularly about, based on comments I've
- 2:09had shared with me, let's say a performance I did in a movie
- 2:15called The Usual Suspects. A lot of people think that that
- 2:20was pretty good. And the irony is there's a
- 2:25brilliant line in the film by the character Verbal Kint,
- 2:30played by Kevin Spacey. And he says the greatest trick
- 2:36that the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he
- 2:42didn't exist. And there is the deception,
- 2:47Brett. And because of that deception,
- 2:52God gives us a choice. And that choice is that we can
- 2:57know Him or by our own free will choose to not know Him and
- 3:07therefore in the future, at some point, Jesus Christ, when he
- 3:17returns, Brett, not if, but when, when he returns, he will
- 3:22judge those who have chosen to reject God.
- 3:28So Brett, regardless of your comments, I'll be praying for
- 3:35you brother, because like Jesus, it's my hope that no one would
- 3:42perish, not even you. Good luck and God bless.
- 3:52Stephen Baldwin recently did a video response towards me and
- 3:57whenever. He did, so I have to admit I
- 4:00was. A bit surprised.
- 4:02I was shocked that a movie star or a ex celebrity would actually
- 4:08respond to a guy like me on YouTube.
- 4:13If anybody. 'S going to respond to anybody.
- 4:18I would expect that it would be towards someone bigger.
- 4:20Someone. Who gets?
- 4:22More views and all that kind of shit than myself.
- 4:26So I was a bit shocked that any movie star would take the time
- 4:30out of their busy schedule to do this.
- 4:33But as most of you know, Mr. Baldwin actually went on this
- 4:39big ass tirade in his video. He was very nice and respectful
- 4:43about it. Some of his comments offended a
- 4:46few people, didn't offend me whatsoever.
- 4:48But there was some things that he said that was a little
- 4:51strange and unusual. Like for instance, twice he
- 4:56mentioned that Jesus is returning soon.
- 5:00Jesus is returning soon. Well, since.
- 5:05That video response he's done to me.
- 5:07I've went to his. Website I also.
- 5:10Found another YouTube channel by him.
- 5:13I've also. Looked.
- 5:14Through Netflix, my wife and I, we like to watch movies to check
- 5:18out some of the other movies that he's done.
- 5:20Found out that he did a movie called Biodome with Pauly Shore.
- 5:23Found out that he has starred in quite a few different things.
- 5:28One that was a bit surprising, that.
- 5:31I don't think Christians would approve of.
- 5:34They'd probably. Be more.
- 5:35Up for the Suspect movie? That he did with all the killing
- 5:38and destroying and criminal behavior as opposed to the one
- 5:42I'm about to tell you about. He starred in a movie called
- 5:45Threesome in which there apparently there were two men,
- 5:51one woman, who did exactly as the title suggests.
- 5:57That's something that Reverend Phelps would have probably fell
- 5:59over and had a fucking stroke from if he watched that
- 6:02particular one. But.
- 6:04It was a movie, So what can you do?
- 6:10Brett Oh, and by the way, the the the threesome movie, I have
- 6:15a a joke. You know, in the last nine years
- 6:18I've toured around the country and even internationally and
- 6:23I've given my quote UN quote testimony about how I came into
- 6:31the born again Christian faith and what I refer to a majority
- 6:38of my performances in my filmography.
- 6:41I, you know, sometimes I in an attempt to be humorous, I refer
- 6:47to most of the films I've done as BC, which obviously means
- 6:54before Christ, which threesome certainly is in that category,
- 7:07but it's still pretty funny. Not recommending it.
- 7:12It's BC, but in that fleshly, wicked Sinner kind of way.
- 7:25It's funny. OK man, peace out.
- 7:36Hello ladies and gentlemen. My name is Brett Keene and you
- 7:39were watching, listening to the Brett Keene Show 7:00 PM Central
- 7:44Friday. I'll be doing a live show where
- 7:46everybody's welcome to come. If you're if you're not sure
- 7:51what it is that you actually just watched.
- 7:54Back in the day, whenever I was a former atheist, I got to a
- 7:58point where I was really popular on YouTube.
- 8:01Now a lot of atheists, they adored me.
- 8:03They practically idolized me. And a lot of atheists even
- 8:08envied me because I'd gotten to the point where I went from this
- 8:13redneck country boy, raised and born in Saint Louis, moved out
- 8:18to the country guy who went from zero to thousands and thousands
- 8:24of subscribers. A lot of people believe that at
- 8:29this point today had I not had all the issues with being
- 8:33banned, shut down, screwed with and all this that I would be in
- 8:39the millions and subscriber list.
- 8:45Well, because of my notoriety and because of my popularity, I
- 8:50started to getting into making videos towards celebrities and
- 8:57musicians. And sometimes those celebrities
- 9:00and musicians would obviously respond back.
- 9:04And the hope at that point was trying to get Stephen Baldwin to
- 9:09actually speak to me in real time on a live show and that we
- 9:15could have discussions. To be honest with you, at that
- 9:20point in time as an atheist, I was looking for popular
- 9:26religious people that were influential.
- 9:29And the interest at that point was to get them into a live show
- 9:35and then basically open their eyes.
- 9:38Because at that point I thought that atheism was the truth and
- 9:42that religion was a delusion or a mental illness or a problem.
- 9:46You know, the usual common thought process that atheists
- 9:50have. Anybody that thinks differently
- 9:52than them is wrong or they're crazy or they're on drugs or
- 9:56there's something wrong with them.
- 9:59Well, unfortunately for Mr. Stephen Baldwin, he had had a a
- 10:05pretty hardcore past. A lot of actors and actresses,
- 10:09they come, not all of them come from a a rich family or things
- 10:14are going great for them. Stephen Baldwin's family was
- 10:18very dysfunctional. And Stephen Baldwin,
- 10:21unfortunately, in his past, I got into alcohol, drugs and the
- 10:25ladies and all that kind of stuff.
- 10:28But somehow because of his looks and because of his acting
- 10:31ability, managed to get into big movies like The Usual Suspect
- 10:36with Kevin Spacey and all kinds of other stuff.
- 10:40Well, I kind of use psychology and I taunted him along with
- 10:46many other actors and musicians. I knew a lot about their past
- 10:51because actors and musicians tend to talk about themselves
- 10:54and do interviews a lot. So I kind of knew all the
- 10:58buttons to push. And I remember going at Stephen
- 11:02Baldwin pretty hard, making some videos, and there was something
- 11:07in the back of my head that said this guy's never going to
- 11:10respond to me, He's never going to talk.
- 11:13Same feeling I had whenever I got into it with Roseanne Barr
- 11:17and a bunch of other popular people.
- 11:20I there was this doubt in me, the skepticism that these people
- 11:24were too big, they were too popular to get their attention
- 11:28or make them concerned about what some little peon named
- 11:32Brett Keane thinks. A lot of people would tell you I
- 11:35wasn't the little peon that I had.
- 11:37I had become very big, very powerful and very influential
- 11:41myself. But I still felt in my heart
- 11:46that I wasn't deserving of having these, you know, God like
- 11:52people talking to me. But then there was another side
- 11:56of me that said, you know, this is what my position and I want
- 12:00to be able to go after big time religious leaders.
- 12:03So that's what I did. And while I was doing that, I
- 12:06was also doing church phone calls and I was arguing with
- 12:10priests and pastors and all that kind of stuff.
- 12:14And every time I did it, it just made me blow up even more on the
- 12:19Internet. Just a brief summary of what
- 12:26happened to me. Why I'm not in that same
- 12:28position is obviously I stopped being an atheist, and the moment
- 12:33I stopped being an atheist I went from being a genius to non
- 12:37believers to basically a puddle of shit even lower than that.
- 12:43Apparently whenever I no longer labeled myself an atheist, I was
- 12:48no longer a value. I had no worth.
- 12:51In fact, atheists who looked up to me were now looking down at
- 12:56me and mocking me and insulting me just simply because I said I
- 13:01was open minded to the idea that God is real.
- 13:06The verses in the Bible where it says they hated me so now I will
- 13:12hate you really wrung out a lot of things in the Bible became
- 13:19clear and true to me whenever I seen the way people behave
- 13:23towards me. Once I accepted God, I'd always
- 13:27been a friendly person. You could even see in that video
- 13:31that was me whenever I was a former atheist.
- 13:34Besides going after Stephen Baldwin, you probably notice.
- 13:39You're probably wondering where the top of my head is in the
- 13:42image and the video. I'm actually wearing a really
- 13:45dark Black Hat and the reason why I was is because my hair was
- 13:52all gone. Now, I'm not going to go on the
- 13:56detail why it is that there was a time for about a year and a
- 14:00half where my hair was gone off my head.
- 14:07You can, if you want to, you can guess why it is.
- 14:10I lost my hair, so I was wearing a hat.
- 14:14And at that point in time, I was very irritated.
- 14:18I was angry and I was disgusted with the concept of God,
- 14:22especially with what I was going through, sickness, health
- 14:25problems, all that kind of stuff.
- 14:30But the thing that I mostly want to communicate to you all about
- 14:34this, the reason why I did this is because one Adam Lohr, my
- 14:39friend, he reminded me of this conversation.
- 14:42And I went looking for the old clips of me and Stephen Baldwin.
- 14:48And I rewatched it and listened to it.
- 14:51And I literally felt like when I was watching this old clip of
- 14:56myself. And I've seen some of the old
- 15:00clips that atheists have saved of me whenever I was a non
- 15:03believer. I don't like that person.
- 15:06And I'm talking about who I was. I, I don't like that attitude
- 15:12that I had or that desire to try to make people feel like shit or
- 15:18try to expose them or burn them or roast them.
- 15:22That's not who I was to begin with.
- 15:25I started becoming unusual and weird.
- 15:28As I became more popular, fame started to get to my head.
- 15:32I started to actually, there was a a little bit in me where I was
- 15:36starting to feel like I was more important than what I actually
- 15:39was. Luckily for me, the atheist,
- 15:43whenever I finally turned my life over to Jesus Christ, the
- 15:48atheist made it clear to me how little and insignificant I
- 15:54actually was to them. That since I was no longer a
- 15:58mouthpiece then I was less than shit to them.
- 16:02And in a way I have to think them because they helped me get
- 16:08through the confusion. Believe it or not, going from
- 16:13atheist to religious, going from being a non believer to
- 16:17believing in God was not an easy task.
- 16:21But the atheists out there, they made it so much easier when they
- 16:24started shit talking me and and trying to burn my family and
- 16:29everything about me into the ground.
- 16:31After all that I had done, after all the kindness, after all the
- 16:35respect I'd shown other non believers, it really helped me
- 16:41make my transition a lot easier because then I realized that I
- 16:47never truly was a part of this fucking herd of cattle.
- 16:52I was just something that was being manipulated and used for
- 16:56the moment. I was basically a tool.
- 17:01And I accept that. I accept.
- 17:05That's what I basically came out to beef with.
- 17:13These folks accidentally spilled a little bit of my coffee.
- 17:20It's rough. My wife is going to be pissed.
- 17:26That's not that bad. All right, so the other thing
- 17:34too, it's like I said, I didn't like my attitude.
- 17:38I didn't. There was a self-awareness going
- 17:41on where I didn't like how I was treating people like Stephen
- 17:46Baldwin. Instead of saying to someone
- 17:51like Stephen, it's good that you changed your life, it's good you
- 17:54got off the drugs, it's good you stop drinking and you made
- 17:58something of yourself instead. I was insulting him basically
- 18:03saying things like he was the least of the Baldwins, that he
- 18:07was the the dunce. I basically had said that
- 18:12everybody in his family was very successful, but he was like the
- 18:16black sheep. I insulted his loved ones, I
- 18:19insulted him. And honestly, like a coward, I
- 18:24actually thought that he would never even bother with me, that
- 18:28it would just be another video where you get a bunch of views
- 18:31and you move on to another bullshit video that you do.
- 18:35But he responded and I remember looking into his eyes.
- 18:41You know, when you look into a Baldwin's eyes or an actor's
- 18:45eyes or see something in a movie, you don't ever feel bad
- 18:49by criticizing anyone because you feel like you're criticizing
- 18:54characters or a film that's make believe or pretend.
- 18:59You never really know that you might actually be hurting
- 19:02someone whenever you do that. But I mean, I, I guess I should
- 19:07have known because I wasn't talking about his characters.
- 19:11I was talking about him as a person and his own family.
- 19:18And I realized at that point that I had become a really
- 19:26ignorant fucking asshole. I had realized that I went from
- 19:31making intelligent, thought provoking videos to drama videos
- 19:36where I was being mean to people in order to get conversation
- 19:41going. And you know what's really
- 19:46fucking sad about that? That kind of behavior always
- 19:51worked too. It never worked if I just told a
- 19:55religious person or an atheist, hey, can you respectfully and
- 20:00nicely come on to my show and let's have a conversation.
- 20:04It seems like if I intimidated people or I taunted them, that
- 20:10work, it's like their pride and their ego couldn't handle it and
- 20:13then they would show up for a fight.
- 20:18But I never could somehow manage just to get people into the show
- 20:24by being nice. Well, there was a time, I
- 20:28suppose, when I was doing Stickam where I'd say I'm going
- 20:31to open up a chat room. But even then I would follow it
- 20:35up with anybody wants to debate me or anybody wants to argue
- 20:38with me, That's where I'll be. Bring all your friends, all your
- 20:42buddies and shit. I would call everybody out, but
- 20:48it never worked. Just simply saying, can you
- 20:52please come in? I'd like to socialize with you
- 20:54and have a friendly conversation.
- 20:58And I guess nobody would have bought it anyway because I was
- 21:02in an argumentative mood at that time.
- 21:05Not so much anymore. But I really felt bad.
- 21:13I really felt bad because Mr. Baldwin was a man who changed
- 21:20his life around. He went from a very dark place
- 21:24in his life and then he found God and he was basically trying
- 21:29to do better in his life. But you can tell when watching
- 21:34him do shows or be on TV and do interviews when he's talking
- 21:38about Jesus that there is still a vulnerability there.
- 21:41And unfortunately, as a former atheist, I attacked the
- 21:45vulnerabilities. You can see where I went after
- 21:48some of the sins of his past, and I went after his movies
- 21:53where they couldn't even closely be described as Christian videos
- 21:58or movies. Other people, I think wouldn't
- 22:06care. I personally think that a lot of
- 22:08atheists out there, they don't care if they would have hurt Mr.
- 22:12Baldwin or hurt his career in some kind of way, or if they
- 22:16would have caused him to fall back in the darkness.
- 22:21But I did. I did.
- 22:25I remember when talking to some religious people face to face or
- 22:30talking to people on the phone, I could tell by in their voice
- 22:34as well as the eyes of a person that some people were actually
- 22:38afraid. And I actually made a lot of
- 22:41people feel very uncomfortable. And that's something I never
- 22:46wanted to do. I'm, I'm a Missouri boy where I
- 22:49just wanted people to enjoy hanging out with me.
- 22:55Just, you know, be able to chill, have a cold one, have
- 22:59some BBQ. But social media does some
- 23:02fucked up shit to your head. Ladies and gentlemen, the
- 23:05Internet makes you feel more important than what you actually
- 23:08are. And sometimes you start saying
- 23:12things and doing things that you normally wouldn't do in real
- 23:15life for whatever reason to pump yourself up and make yourself
- 23:20look bad ass, I guess. And also in a way, the Internet
- 23:31is a place for people to take out anger where they necessarily
- 23:35couldn't do it anywhere else at that time.
- 23:40I remember feeling very sick and unhealthy and very angry at the
- 23:44world. And I would just, I don't know,
- 23:49it's like my atheism just drew me towards people that I thought
- 23:54were vulnerable and and weak and went at them.
- 23:58And you know what's really odd? Even whenever I was a non
- 24:01believer, I remember when I first started doing YouTube, my
- 24:05intention wasn't to try to destroy people or do that kind
- 24:09of shit. I'd always had this weird idea
- 24:12in my head that I would like to have the power and the ability
- 24:17to be able to help people and do something good, make friends,
- 24:22socialize, and if I can help people with their problems, do
- 24:26it. Unfortunately, I became an
- 24:30asshole the bigger I got and that's one of the reasons why.
- 24:34And people get very confused about this, why I say I'm glad
- 24:37I'm where I'm at now. I wish I could be doing a little
- 24:41bit better, a a tad bit better, but I wish I still had some, the
- 24:48kind at least half the amount of influence so I'd be able to help
- 24:52people easier. Because it seems like the more
- 24:55influential you are, the more somebody's going to listen to
- 24:58your message or what you're saying.
- 25:00But I mean, let's face it, I put myself in that position.
- 25:07But I guess in the end, what I want to say in this video is
- 25:11anyone, including Stephen Baldwin, that I ever hurt.
- 25:16Even though my voice was calm, I didn't scream or yell at him.
- 25:20I still said some pretty damn bigoted things, some things that
- 25:24were rough, and I hope that if he ever sees me talking again,
- 25:31if he's kept track of me or gets around to seeing this video, I
- 25:37hope he realizes that. From the bottom of my heart, I
- 25:40apologize for doing that to him. It wasn't so much him that I was
- 25:45going after, it was his religion, it was his beliefs.
- 25:50They offended me at the time and in order to attack his religion
- 25:57I suppose at the time I thought it was a good idea to attack him
- 26:01personally. What a shitty way to do things,
- 26:06right? So if he ever sees us, I hope he
- 26:13knows that I feel like absolute shit for behaving that way and I
- 26:19still think about it from time to time.
- 26:22And hopefully, after all this is said and done, he will continue
- 26:29to grow as a person, and I too will grow as a person and become
- 26:34better and continue to restrain myself from being such like
- 26:43that. That's one thing I learned about
- 26:45myself too, that I don't like. Let me tell you another thing I
- 26:50don't like about myself. Although I desire to do good and
- 26:56I have this light about me where I want to help people and I want
- 27:01to love people. I also know because of the way I
- 27:05was raised and because of my life, I also have this talent,
- 27:10this ability that if somebody pushes me hard enough, I know
- 27:15that I can tear somebody down to pieces.
- 27:19I know that I can be very destructive.
- 27:21I know that I can go from being the Jedi to Anakin Skywalker and
- 27:27completely burn everything in my path.
- 27:31And that's not something that person should be proud of.
- 27:34That you have the power of the dark side as well as the power
- 27:38of the light. You know that you basically you
- 27:43have the ability to take the Force out of balance.
- 27:48I don't like knowing that about myself.
- 27:51I don't like knowing that although there's a good person
- 27:55inside me, there's also someone capable of such destruction.
- 28:04I've learned a lot over the years, ladies and gentlemen,
- 28:07I've learned a lot. You lose some, you win some, and
- 28:12all that. What a fascinating life I have
- 28:17lived. All right, I hope you guys found
- 28:22the video interesting. This is just a acknowledgement
- 28:26as well as a very, very late apology.
