- 0:57smooth, tasteful, and pair perfectly with a lime.
- 1:00Or our favorite, in orange. Because if you're still chasing
- 1:03tequila with a lime, what are you doing?
- 1:06That orange slice brings out the bright citrus notes of Una Vida
- 1:10Blanco, which is smooth, authentic and tasteful.
- 1:14Like myself. Plus, Una Vida is 100% additive
- 1:17free, so you're enjoying tequila in its purest form without the
- 1:21hangover regret. Yeah, because it takes us three
- 1:24to five business days to recover now, and hang side is not my
- 1:27friend. That's why you should stick with
- 1:31una Vida or try cocktails instead of shots.
- 1:33Okay, little bit little. One Life Spirits also crafts El

- 2:18Yeah, like exactly I. Know like you're ready to
- 2:20replace him at any second. No, no, hard no.
- 2:27No. Never, never.
- 2:28I would not know. It's so funny.
- 2:30People will ask me and I'm like, I don't know, ask Dusty.
- 2:33Leave me alone, I do the simple stuff.
- 2:56Yo-yo, yo-yo yo. Welcome back to another episode
- 2:59of Here's to You, the podcast where we bring cool people to
- 3:04share their cool stories with you.
- 3:08Yes, and we have someone that we've met completely by
- 3:11accident, which is why it's even better.
- 3:13Exactly. This weird person every time I
- 3:17say weird, it's a compliment I. Actually would define myself as
- 3:20probably one of the weirdest individuals I've ever met.
- 3:22OK, OK, OK. We handed him a cocktail.
- 3:25He walked in wearing full Naruto drip and two hours later we were
- 3:29deep in conversation about society, creativity, Tokyo
- 3:33economics, anime mindset, a little bit of scary stuff and
- 3:37some philosophy. He builds computers.
- 3:40He used to record rappers. He works in real estate.
- 3:44He thinks deeply about the world and is one of the kindest humans
- 3:47we've ever randomly stumbled into in this building.
- 3:50Just kidding, Ben. Maybe, maybe you that's.
- 3:52Very sweet thank. You a thinker, a nerd and
- 3:56meaning maker, Travis. Why?
- 3:59Thank you. That was a huge excellent intro.
- 4:02I appreciate that. Yeah, of course.
- 4:04Yeah, I'm really good at these now.
- 4:06I used to be really bad and my transitions are not good though.
- 4:12You'll get there. That just leaves room for
- 4:14something to grow on. Yeah, yeah, I I have growth
- 4:17there. But also I think I think they're
- 4:19fun that I don't know or I don't remember how to transition
- 4:23stuff. So I think that's even better.
- 4:25But why Naruto? What's your favorite Naruto
- 4:29quote? Because I know that you have
- 4:30some, you have to have some. Oh gosh, I pulled one in case
- 4:33you don't have one. Why Naruto?
- 4:36Because of his ninja way. His ninja way.
- 4:39It's a ninja way. Well, his ninja way.
- 4:41OK, what define what does that? So his ninja way is no matter
- 4:45what. And I know that's a real common
- 4:47theme in anime and that's actually what got me into anime
- 4:50is, is just the mindset and attitude.
- 4:52But his thing is he won't he can't, he won't stop.
- 4:57He's going to be Hokage no matter what.
- 4:59And that's his ninja way. So he's he's the determination
- 5:03is why one number itself? OK, would you say that you have
- 5:07a ninja way like your own? So yeah.
- 5:10OK, what is it? No, I mean that is it.
- 5:12That is it. Yeah, I don't know how.
- 5:14I don't know. There quit quitting is not an
- 5:17option. I'm too stubborn for all that.
- 5:19OK, yeah. So there's a There's a fine line
- 5:22between stubbornness and determination, right?
- 5:25I'm sure there is. Yeah.
- 5:27Have you found it? Yeah.
- 5:28Have you found it? OK.
- 5:29That's what I was gonna ask. I was gonna ask if you found it
- 5:31yet. What we just say is like the
- 5:33thing that you're like, I'm so proud that I'm still very
- 5:36stubborn with this. And then maybe something that
- 5:38you're like, I probably should have let this one go a long time
- 5:43ago, but it took me a minute. Oh, those, those I don't, I
- 5:47don't recollect. Oh, OK.
- 5:49Yeah, those are. Yeah, no, but yeah.
- 5:54So I say that loosely being when with stubbornness is more just
- 5:59basically determination, right? No, Yeah, but it's it's about
- 6:04picking your battles is what it comes down to.
- 6:06So you pick your battles and especially in professionalism in
- 6:12life, not there's so many times you just you know, like screw
- 6:17this, you know, I'm I don't like this is not what I want.
- 6:20It's not. But if you have a like a
- 6:24definiteness of purpose and you have a true why as to what where
- 6:28you're going, then then being stubborn in that regard is what
- 6:33I'm referring to. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:35What would you say is your, well, the ninja way, That's what
- 6:39you're saying. That's what you're saying is
- 6:40your why? OK.
- 6:42Like that's what you're pretty much.
- 6:43Yeah. OK, Ninja.
- 6:44Way is your. Why?
- 6:45OK, that, but that's your why? That's your purpose, or you
- 6:49haven't, Or what would you say is yours?
- 6:52That is the like introduction to it.
- 6:57The purpose is not quitting is a big part of it, right?
- 6:59Just just determination to to see something through.
- 7:03My why is is a lot of it's curiosity, but a lot of it is
- 7:10also, you know, my son, He's that's what I do pretty much
- 7:14everything for. Yeah.
- 7:16Is the next generation and and and some to try to get back as
- 7:20much as possible not just to him to but just to the universe.
- 7:24Yeah, yeah, you said universe. Would you say you're more
- 7:28religious or more spiritual? I would say a good mix of both.
- 7:36OK. Because I, I think religion is
- 7:41good and bad, you know, like it's just like all things in
- 7:44this universe, you know, like it's how you use it.
- 7:46It's how it's welded, wielded more than what it is.
- 7:51You know, the best examples always like the atom, right?
- 7:54Adam can blow up a whole city or it can be used to power an
- 7:58entire nation. That's what you do with it that
- 8:00matters. So.
- 8:02But spirituality is something I was raised on and is a big part
- 8:05of my life. I was actually just talking to a
- 8:08friend of mine about this. Like how I think like certain
- 8:11religious stuff, some people will weaponize and but also it's
- 8:18like like people who are very religious, I will want to have
- 8:25respect for whoever and whatever your belief is, But people who
- 8:29are very religious, if I, I feel like sometimes it's like they
- 8:32don't have multiple things that they're learning and gravitating
- 8:36from and like also pulling from to know what they're when and
- 8:40where. Like I might have to do
- 8:42something more over here versus like talking more.
- 8:45What is God's will? What is this will if they don't
- 8:49have one and they only do anything religious only like in
- 8:56terms of like Bible stuff, I'm like I I I'm a little more
- 9:02skeptical of their beliefs because it doesn't it it feels
- 9:05almost like they have man, this is gonna get me cancelled.
- 9:12You went straight into religion. The jump and I was like, OK,
- 9:15this is where we're. Going I wasn't going to let.
- 9:17Me let me help you out here. I wasn't going to, but it let
- 9:19me. Throw you a lifeline.
- 9:24So I will say a lot of people who are very biblical, it's I
- 9:30would love to ask them about how much of the Bible have they
- 9:33actually read? That's always where I would
- 9:35start because it's a tool. It can't be used.
- 9:39It can't be used for negative just like I was saying like, and
- 9:43there's a lot of you know, that's it's and I what you're
- 9:45saying is I don't it's not God. Only God can judge us.
- 9:49Yeah. So it's not for us to do.
- 9:52I look at someone that you come across like that and you see
- 9:54them that that's just where they are in their journey.
- 9:57So I don't if you can understand it, then you can see it for what
- 10:02it is and you don't, it doesn't affect you the same way.
- 10:05It's not personal. You see it as that's where they
- 10:07are and what they need to like what they're trying to.
- 10:09Because once you experience that part of who you are, then it
- 10:12gives you the opportunity to grow into more.
- 10:15But if you haven't exercised some of that, some of us, I feel
- 10:18like everybody's born that way. You know, we got to get stuff
- 10:20out of our system. Sometimes by slowing it down, it
- 10:22actually prolongs it. Sometimes you just got to go all
- 10:24the way. And that's where they are on
- 10:26their journey. Yeah.
- 10:29Now I'm a big fan of the Bible. I'm a big fan of.
- 10:33I grew up. This is so you want to, you
- 10:35know, we opened up with how weird I am.
- 10:37Yeah. Let's.
- 10:38Start with that. When my mother used to take
- 10:40that, I think one of the first things I ever read was Genesis.
- 10:43Wow, I thought that was the coolest thing.
- 10:46How old? Are you like?
- 10:48Seven. OK.
- 10:50I thought this was like, dude, it's right here.
- 10:53Yeah. Like I have these questions.
- 10:55I don't know about you. If it's a boy, a girl thing, a
- 10:57young thing. What?
- 10:57But when I was a kid, I'm like, where did we come from?
- 11:00What are we doing? Here, what's the point?
- 11:03I do think everyone has those questions.
- 11:05I. Found Genesis.
- 11:06I'm like, duh, dude, it's right here.
- 11:07Yeah. Like all the.
- 11:08Answers are like, you guys are giving me all this BS run
- 11:11around. It's right here, you know, so,
- 11:14but you know, I just thought it was fascinating.
- 11:16And then you can get really, really deep, deep with it.
- 11:18But you know, I'm also a huge fan of, you know, the gospels
- 11:21then just the positivity that's written in a lot of the quotes
- 11:24and comments in there. But the weirdness was when I was
- 11:28a kid and my mom, we love to take my garage salary and I was
- 11:33always on a mission looking for two things.
- 11:36Bibles. And.
- 11:38Calculators. You are so weird dude.
- 11:41Nerd. That is a.
- 11:43Hella nerd, but it's it's it's like, it's like a Sheldon, a
- 11:47little bit of Sheldon with the calculator, but also not Sheldon
- 11:51at all with the Bible. Like how?
- 11:52Opposite are those two things They're.
- 11:54Very opposite, like you're. A man of numbers, but a man of
- 11:57of. Higher power and believe in
- 12:00because it really comes down to yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:04Yeah, which I do. I like leaving a lot of room
- 12:06open for possibility. Like I do like I said, I'll you
- 12:11you take what you want from something.
- 12:12But like if if I one thing I don't do or don't like is like a
- 12:16limiting belief, something that says like this is the ceiling
- 12:19the fixed. Mindset, yeah.
- 12:20I don't, I don't appreciate that.
- 12:23Well, I should say I don't appreciate that, but I just it,
- 12:24it's not for me. And so when I look at these
- 12:27things, I, if there is something in there that is a very limiting
- 12:31mindset, I remind myself that this too was man made.
- 12:35This is also something from a human who has his own
- 12:38limitations. So it's not going to be
- 12:40everything perfect. But what the gospels dive into
- 12:44the most and what I think most of what the teachings of Jesus
- 12:47is, is that God is it within. And so that's that's an
- 12:50individual journey for all of us at that point.
- 12:53So it's we can try to, you know, and it's a beautiful thing to
- 12:57share that with people and for everybody of like mind to, you
- 13:01know, use that as a way to come together and to create community
- 13:04behind it. Yeah.
- 13:05Now, but when you leverage that for some kind of form of control
- 13:09over people, that's where you that's that's a slippery slope
- 13:14in religion is like historically been used that way.
- 13:16Yeah. So.
- 13:18But we avoid that. Here.
- 13:21I mean, my, my universe is my reality.
- 13:24And you know, I just. Oh, I like that.
- 13:26So I see like you would say, like it's like, yeah, the way
- 13:30that you're going back to what you just said, Jesus is in me.
- 13:34So it's almost like you're saying universe is in me and
- 13:37this is my reality, this is my universe.
- 13:39And if and what I'm experiencing on a very weird or not weird on
- 13:44a yeah, weird, but on a rock that is spinning amongst a lot
- 13:48of crazy things. So this is my only experience
- 13:52right now. And then at the same time, I'm
- 13:55in this spinning rock. So it also doesn't matter.
- 13:59Yes. You know, you know what I mean?
- 14:02Like the fine line between both of it.
- 14:04Yeah, both of those things. Well, I.
- 14:06Think all things matter, but not in a cosmic sense.
- 14:09I mean, we are literally dust in the wind, Yeah, like like a a
- 14:13speck of dust. And throughout the history of
- 14:16all things that are, So what does it matter?
- 14:18Even everybody who spends their entire life for lineage
- 14:21obsessing over like being remembered historically, that's
- 14:23still not even a blink in the eye of the universe or in God or
- 14:27or whatever. It's just, it's such a such a
- 14:30small window, isn't it? Crazy it's to think of things
- 14:33like that. And and then, you know, well, I
- 14:35don't think it's crazy to think of things like that.
- 14:37I think it's crazy in perspective, but to not think of
- 14:41things like that is crazy because we are very good at
- 14:49getting lost and blinded to a situation or circumstance and
- 14:54act like that's everything and this will last forever.
- 14:58But. That's it, Nick, That's such an
- 15:00idiocy. That's a.
- 15:01Fixed mindset, yeah, like. I mean, this too shall pass,
- 15:06right? And that's for good or bad.
- 15:07But. That's true, right?
- 15:10So. Like you just remember when
- 15:11something good ends, just appreciate that you had it and
- 15:14be grateful that you had it rather than upset that you lost
- 15:19it or it no longer is. But what I mean is to not think
- 15:23like that is just don't get caught up in the little stuff
- 15:27like and everything that we consider as big is and that and
- 15:30that scale is tiny, yeah. Like boycotting Chick-fil-A and
- 15:34Target? Yeah.
- 15:35Not liking Pickles, man, not. Liking Pickles?
- 15:38Do you guys like Pickles? Right, let's.
- 15:40Put some. Comments in the.
- 15:42Yeah, what was? What were the pickle stuff
- 15:43again? I.
- 15:45Don't like my cucumbers pickled? I don't.
- 15:47Like them either? I like the cucumbers.
- 15:50Cucumbery only, not pickly. Y'all are tripping man.
- 15:54But like I said, see those are those, I mean borderline.
- 15:57That's where I I draw the line, I was to say.
- 16:00Borderline. Limited mindset man like.
- 16:03Like I said, I do like. Weaponize.
- 16:07I do enjoy why. Do you got to be one or the
- 16:09other? This is you know, they both are
- 16:11beautiful in their own way. I'm.
- 16:12Passionate. Passionately against Pickles.
- 16:15Yeah, that's. Why?
- 16:17A passion is what I wouldn't say I'm.
- 16:18Passionate about like about any sort of Pickles.
- 16:23I enjoy them in Spears in. Spears.
- 16:26What? Why would you say the spear?
- 16:28When you're saying Spears, you're saying the long ones,
- 16:29right? Quarter, right?
- 16:30Yeah. The Spears quarter.
- 16:32Why? Would why do you like those over
- 16:35the just I imagine the the round, yeah.
- 16:37Ones, yeah, it tastes better to me that.
- 16:41Would you say that totally different?
- 16:43Really. Absolutely.
- 16:44Different. Oh, something.
- 16:45About like how much the vinegar penetrates or something, I don't
- 16:48know, but but like a spear is a spear is like, I mean like I
- 16:51said, if it's like a. Snack Fleshy, Juicy.
- 16:54But I like the fleshy. Juicy, yeah.
- 16:56I like Pickles on. Sandwiches on burgers.
- 16:58Like a tomato. Pickle on a burger?
- 17:00Like, I think that's wild. Say that again.
- 17:02If you don't put a pickle. On a burger that's.
- 17:04Disgusting. That's wild.
- 17:05To me, OK. No, I just, I don't like them
- 17:07Pickle onion. The Midwest trio.
- 17:11No, there's a. Such thing as too many there is.
- 17:14Such a thing as too many, of course, right?
- 17:17What's the perfect ratio? Burger like 3 SpongeBob did 2
- 17:21for me. It's. 2C SpongeBob was smart
- 17:24SpongeBob. Did 2 and then he puts a little
- 17:26blanket over a cheese could help.
- 17:27A bunch of burgers he did. He kept that.
- 17:29Business afloat. He knew what?
- 17:31He was doing. He knew.
- 17:33What he was doing, like SpongeBob is an icon, he's a
- 17:36legend. He is the moment.
- 17:38Like we quote SpongeBob a lot here.
- 17:41I like it. Do you like SpongeBob?
- 17:43Can't. Say I'm extremely schooled in
- 17:44SpongeBob, but I do enjoy it. I was a little bit older than
- 17:48SpongeBob and my son is a little bit younger than SpongeBob, so
- 17:51oh. Yeah, OK, That was SpongeBob.
- 17:53I know, I reckon. My favorite, my favorite
- 17:57character was so I remember I watched the SpongeBob when I
- 18:00was, you know, when it was new. I'm like, I don't know about
- 18:02this, right. You know how old?
- 18:04Were you, I mean? Probably my 20s.
- 18:06Oh. Well, that makes sense.
- 18:07Yeah. You know.
- 18:07But I'm I'm. Actually they're but they're
- 18:10funnier as you get older. Yeah, OK, so but.
- 18:13Then I saw one and it was an episode where What's the
- 18:17squirrel from Texas, Sandy. It's.
- 18:19Sandy so well, all the characters are really well done.
- 18:23I will give them that. Great character development,
- 18:25great character. Development.
- 18:27So Immaculate vibes. So I don't like this was there
- 18:35is it was part of a laid out plan, but SpongeBob started
- 18:38disrespecting Texas. Oh yeah.
- 18:40Yeah, yeah. Sandy.
- 18:43And you just see them running like, and the background's
- 18:46moving like a 1,000,000 miles an hour.
- 18:48And this hand comes from like 10,000 miles away and just picks
- 18:52him up. And then he just see him
- 18:54disappear in the distance. And this mushroom cloud just I
- 18:58was dying. Have you ever met a dude from
- 19:00Texas or a guy from Texas? You know why that's so fun?
- 19:04Don't mess with Texas. It's.
- 19:07That's what I'm saying. Like I feel like as you get
- 19:08older, I was. Like OK, I'm I see the.
- 19:10Hype. I get this.
- 19:11I want to I could dive in. Deeper on this, yeah.
- 19:13There's there's a lot of hype. I think my favorite episode of
- 19:16SpongeBob is the one where they're on the Flying Dutchman
- 19:18boat and they're learning how to be ghosts.
- 19:22Patrick and SpongeBob and the Flying Dutchman.
- 19:25So you haven't gone in, right. So he's like, you know, the
- 19:28ghost of under the ghost of Bikini Bottom.
- 19:32And, and so he they, they end up getting on his ship and they
- 19:39have to be his, his, his trusty people on the boat.
- 19:46Like they have to like do everything on the ship.
- 19:49I mean, and so there's just a lot of moments where they're
- 19:51being fucking stupid, like they're being SpongeBob and
- 19:53Patrick. And then there's the moment
- 19:56where like they have to take the ship through some rocks.
- 20:00And there and then, like Patrick is searing and SpongeBob is
- 20:03keeping an eye. And then he's like, you're good,
- 20:06you're good, you're good. And then all you hear is like,
- 20:09and then you also just see like the ship falling apart, going
- 20:12through the rocks and it's like, and it's like and then, and.
- 20:17Then they can. Make it out and then SpongeBob.
- 20:19Don't worry, Captain, we'll buff out those scratches.
- 20:24I quote that all the time. Well.
- 20:26That's a good. Quote.
- 20:27That's one I will hold on to. It's a.
- 20:28Good quote. It's a good quote 'cause it it
- 20:30works with everything when I fuck up.
- 20:32Don't worry captain, I'll buff out those scratches.
- 20:34I like it. What other cartoons or anime?
- 20:40Anime. Recently solo levelling.
- 20:43Totally got into that dude. I couldn't stop watching it.
- 20:45Don't you? Seriously.
- 20:46You didn't like it? When he gave a.
- 20:49Big thumbs. Down.
- 20:50With. A thumbs down.
- 20:51Oh. Corey, what are the thoughts on
- 20:52this? Miked up Corey.
- 20:56Miked up Corey, it's overrated. I What's it about?
- 21:02It's basically like a cartoon of an RPG, like so like he's like
- 21:07he's the weakest hunter in all of hunting for. 15 minutes,
- 21:13yeah. And then he dies.
- 21:15Well, I don't want to ruin it for everybody, but he's chosen
- 21:18and then he's a badass after that.
- 21:20OK. And that's that's I mean, I
- 21:22don't know why it just I don't know what it is, but it sucked
- 21:24you in. Why?
- 21:26Did you say you're not into attack on Titans?
- 21:28And why did you say it was bad? I've never I I feel like that
- 21:32was boring. I think is everybody boring?
- 21:33I got bored really fast. Within one season, I was.
- 21:38Like I can see that a little bit, I don't.
- 21:40Honestly, it just, you know, I don't, I can't.
- 21:43I don't have it. What?
- 21:44What? Season did you stop at oh I.
- 21:46Didn't make it through the first one.
- 21:47You didn't. Make it through the first one
- 21:48OK, it's boring. I mean, I and The thing is, is I
- 21:53tried retried it from the beginning and maybe that was
- 21:55part of the problem. I'd already seen like these
- 21:57once, but I, you know, I don't know.
- 21:59So what else if you say? Attack on Titan, Yeah, but I've
- 22:03probably only seen one episode. What?
- 22:05OK, the reason I'm saying what, and I'm appalled is because like
- 22:09you're saying that you're a very deep and like you're curious
- 22:13about like what is happening and like man, like every season and,
- 22:18and it is kind of in the beginning, like I feel like
- 22:20every season you begin to finally get more pieces of the
- 22:23history And it's, it's almost like backwards.
- 22:27It's like kind of in the future, but also in history, but also in
- 22:30present. And so the first season you're
- 22:34just kind of like, OK, these things are bad, this is
- 22:37happening, blah, blah. Second season, suddenly it's
- 22:40like, what the fuck is this? Is this like I'm in a different
- 22:45story? And, and in a way.
- 22:48And at least that's how I felt. And I was just like, 'cause I
- 22:52start, I remember I started it a long time ago too.
- 22:54Then I stopped it and then I went back to finish it 'cause I
- 22:57was waiting on the seasons to, to finish and 'cause I'm a binge
- 23:01watcher and I want them all at the same time.
- 23:05And, and I, I was like, I remember like going like, well,
- 23:10what the heck did I miss? Like I'm so confused.
- 23:12And I had like, I'm going straight to fandom and I'm like,
- 23:15OK, what am I missing? And like, I'm constantly just
- 23:18like researching this, like what, what, why am I, who is
- 23:21this person? Who is this character?
- 23:22What, why am I getting all this spiel?
- 23:25But like it, it's like building all of this.
- 23:27And then there's, it's a dystopia type of anime, right?
- 23:32That where they're at and it's just real.
- 23:35The end. That's why I was hoping you did
- 23:38watch. I was hoping all of you watched
- 23:39it because the end, I think I it made me think a lot.
- 23:47It made me kind of go like, was he the villain in the end or was
- 23:52he one of those? OK.
- 23:54Yeah. Well, I mean, and that's, that
- 23:56is just like, I feel like that is the where we're living in
- 24:00society right now, like as a whole, I feel like us as like a
- 24:04human population are going through that exact like emotion.
- 24:08I mean, cause for the lat for the 20th century, it was very
- 24:12clear. It's very black and white, good
- 24:14guy, bad guy. And then something happened
- 24:17along the way where you're like, wait, we need to like, like you
- 24:21actually get to see a little bit of the background of the story
- 24:23of the bad guy and they're wise and what caused them to be that.
- 24:27And then you're like, now you feel now you're not like, now
- 24:31they're not the enemy anymore. And it's more like, OK, I
- 24:34understand, Like, why you're hurting, like, and what caused
- 24:36this conflict. Yeah.
- 24:38So. Doesn't that go back to almost
- 24:40like you're your own universe, Jesus is in you.
- 24:44You're you're experiencing your own little speck of this and
- 24:46you're still, you're experiencing somebody else's
- 24:50universe when you connect with them.
- 24:52Yeah. 1000 that's you know, I like that.
- 24:54I like that. I wouldn't say Jesus in you, I
- 24:56say, I would say whatever you're, you know, like you know,
- 25:00that's specific to each person. Like I said, when it is your own
- 25:02journey, it is your own journey. So like it's you know, whom or
- 25:05whatever you know, it is, is that's your journey.
- 25:08So yeah, but yeah, yeah. And that's, that's part of I
- 25:13think of like real human evolution is, is that you start
- 25:19to become that way. You know, I would.
- 25:21I mean, I wasn't always this person.
- 25:23Yeah. Yeah, you don't start off that
- 25:24way like as a kid. You're very like, it's me, me,
- 25:26mine, mine. Yeah, yeah.
- 25:27Yeah. And also it depends your
- 25:29environment, your parents? Yeah, of course.
- 25:32And brothers. Sisters, how much?
- 25:33Yeah. Who was your school?
- 25:36Everything. Who believed in you?
- 25:37Who didn't believe in you? What makes you?
- 25:40What is this epiphany moment that you start to where you're
- 25:45like, there is more to this that I need to look into people, I
- 25:49think. I was.
- 25:49It was how I was raised. I think a lot of that I can
- 25:52attribute to the like my my mother did a really good job of
- 25:56making me weird. Shout out Mom.
- 26:01Yeah. Yeah, thanks Mom, But in the
- 26:04best of ways possible, she would ask me questions that would just
- 26:07make me think instead of it wasn't surface level at all.
- 26:11She one of my favorite questions she asked me when I was little
- 26:15was like, is it better to know or is it better to understand?
- 26:19And it's like a 7 year old. You're like, that question
- 26:22lasted me like my entire childhood.
- 26:24You. Know.
- 26:25Because if you don't know it, how do you?
- 26:27You can't understand something if you don't even know it.
- 26:30But if you don't understand it, then what's the?
- 26:32Purpose of knowing it like. Yeah, like I know what's the?
- 26:35Reason for the self-awareness if you're not going to be able to
- 26:38do something with it. Is that a hypothetical question
- 26:45or was he actually asking me that?
- 26:47No, it's a. Hypothetical question yeah, OK
- 26:49yeah, well, like back word yeah word well, like back to what
- 26:54you're what do you feel like you have an answer for that now
- 26:56which. Part.
- 26:59Is it better to know something or is it better to understand
- 27:02I've? Always thought it would better
- 27:03understand 100%. I mean, I feel like that was
- 27:05kind of a but it does it does get you to think differently is
- 27:10what it did is it made me start to think differently than I, you
- 27:12know, when you would as a normal 7 year old, 8 year old, yeah.
- 27:16No. Yeah, that's fair.
- 27:19It sounds like your mom taught you how to think, not what to
- 27:23think. Yeah.
- 27:24Yeah, for sure on that. Some of it may have been
- 27:27natural, Some of it just might have been me.
- 27:28Because I mean you if you were to see me and my brother were.
- 27:32Probably polar. Opposites.
- 27:33And we were raised by the same two people, so, so, but she
- 27:36definitely was able to, you know, poke some of that and stir
- 27:40it up a little bit. So.
- 27:41And I ran with it, yeah. And you said that you would
- 27:44describe yourself as a very curious person.
- 27:46Oh, yeah. So like, oh, go ahead, I said.
- 27:50Endless. Endless.
- 27:51Yeah, the curiosity is. Endless.
- 27:53Yeah. OK, I'm trying to figure out how
- 27:57to ask this. Like I think me and therapy.
- 28:02Once Upon a time I used to maybe describe myself in a different
- 28:06way. I should describe myself as
- 28:08like, based on what have I, I've accomplished or the things that
- 28:12I've been able to do. I've, I've since then learned to
- 28:18describe myself through characteristics.
- 28:23Maybe like curiosity is one of the things that I describe
- 28:26myself like I would if someone asks, like if someone doing an
- 28:30intro for me, I, if they were like, and she opened this and
- 28:33she did that or, or you know what I mean, or she did this and
- 28:36that I would be like, I, I probably lead with my curiosity
- 28:42in everything that I'm doing. And I think that for me, that's
- 28:45a, we don't always look at curiosity as a value, but I look
- 28:49at curiosity as a value. I agree. 100.
- 28:52Percent, you know, and and then there are other things that are
- 28:54probably not like like relationships are not
- 29:01necessarily maybe I guess it could be about you.
- 29:03Like for me, my relationship with my family spiritually, I'm
- 29:07finally starting to do that. But like all relationships, not
- 29:10just we tend to look at relationships as only like 1
- 29:15romantic thing and not just even this connection right now.
- 29:21So I wanted to ask your relationship with curiosity,
- 29:25like what? At what point in your life are
- 29:27you like I'm leading with my curiosity.
- 29:31I'm I am a curious person. Is this the seven-year old
- 29:34again? Or even?
- 29:35Before that, OK, like one of my oldest memories.
- 29:39If I'm too bad, one of my oldest memories is I remember looking
- 29:43at a light switch, and when the switch went up, the light turned
- 29:48on. And that boggled my brain.
- 29:53Yeah. It wasn't just like that.
- 29:55It wasn't just like a known fact, Like, it was just an
- 29:57understood thing. I was like, I have to
- 29:59understand, like, how does that do that?
- 30:02Yeah. And I mean, I mean, I'm like
- 30:06hitting the light switch like this.
- 30:07That's how old I am. I don't know what age this is,
- 30:10but I just remember thinking this is that's just how my brain
- 30:12was wired, yeah. Yeah, I remember.
- 30:15Thinking that cars drove themselves, so we held the
- 30:17steering wheels to be comfortable.
- 30:19Hey. That's a cool thought though, I
- 30:22like it so we can hold on to. Something right?
- 30:25Yeah. Yeah, you can't just take a nap.
- 30:29I will say I did just buy a Tesla.
- 30:31Oh. And trader, yeah.
- 30:34It's not cool anymore. Say that it's not cool anymore.
- 30:36I think you're. Behind the time, like it went
- 30:38uncool and it's cool again. Is it?
- 30:40What? What year did you get 20?
- 30:416 I think he's. Cancelled.
- 30:44I'm kidding. Dude, dude.
- 30:45Cancel culture's crazy. Yeah, I say that a lot.
- 30:47You know why? Because it's such a closed fix
- 30:49mindset, it is. Though I.
- 30:51Might I? I, I, I say these things
- 30:54jokingly, but like they're, yes, it's like we're, we just
- 31:01dehumanize people way too much. Absolutely.
- 31:03And that's. Why it's such a big thing?
- 31:05It's my favorite. Thing to do, it's your.
- 31:06Favorite thing to do, I mean. Dehumanize.
- 31:08People, but if. You can do it and laugh about
- 31:11it. It's a different thing, right?
- 31:12Like if we're doing it because I mean, to me, what you sound like
- 31:16is you sound like a sibling, like my brother.
- 31:18My brothers professionally have dehumanized me my entire life
- 31:21and we laugh our ass off. I'm also a.
- 31:22Big fan of shit boxes so. What's that a shit?
- 31:26Box like a Honda? Oh, OK.
- 31:29The ones that get stolen clapped out.
- 31:30Yeah, the. Ones that get stolen.
- 31:32Yeah. The one that like you parked it
- 31:34out and then like you had to walk.
- 31:35You walked outside and you're like, oh, shit, it's not here.
- 31:38Well, it happened again. I got two more.
- 31:40At the house. It's.
- 31:45Fine, No, I. Still think it's weird seeing a
- 31:47car drive by and hearing absolutely nothing and you go
- 31:50what? The.
- 31:51Fuck was that? Yeah.
- 31:53No, yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm silent like you don't hear
- 31:56nothing like if silent but Dudley.
- 32:00Depends on. Depends on where's the fart.
- 32:01Sound when you need it, the name.
- 32:03Well. It's silent.
- 32:04Yeah. Yeah.
- 32:05Get in here. Yeah, All right, Just wait.
- 32:11So you're a. Tesla now, yes.
- 32:13It's the greatest thing ever. Why?
- 32:14Because I press a button and I'm on my way.
- 32:18I don't touch a thing. I put on my my audio books and
- 32:23I'm just chilling, you know, just like it takes right on red
- 32:28everything like I don't I don't do nothing like I think that's
- 32:30incredible. Have you guys?
- 32:31Seen the Waymos from San Francisco.
- 32:33Well, I think they're going to other cities now, but they are
- 32:36in San Francisco first. Yeah, the.
- 32:38Driverless. Cars.
- 32:39Yeah, they. Look like they look like
- 32:40something out Back to the Future with they do.
- 32:42Yeah, yeah, yeah. Almost like a.
- 32:44Toaster, yeah. Yeah, I've, I've been in them a
- 32:47couple of times. They're actually pretty cool.
- 32:49Yeah, yeah. I mean, they're so.
- 32:50Interesting. I mean, they have, I think it's
- 32:53in Texas, maybe Dallas, because I, you know, that's where Tesla
- 32:57relocated to. They are allowed to be fully
- 33:00self driven unsupervised. So they have Tesla's the same
- 33:03thing that I have is like a, a self driving cab in Texas.
- 33:08So they're there, they're ready. They just have to slowly and you
- 33:11know, they got to work it up. And I mean, obviously you want,
- 33:15you know, anything on mass scale like that, you definitely want
- 33:18to test it a little bit before you just release it to them.
- 33:20Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 33:23But. No, I'm a fan.
- 33:24It does a great job. Which?
- 33:27Even like for long distance drive, so.
- 33:29That is, that is a. That's a.
- 33:31Downfall. Let me.
- 33:31Yeah, I agree. I agree.
- 33:34Some people would really appreciate it.
- 33:35My buddy who got one too, he likes it.
- 33:37And I mean, I, I appreciate his perspective on it.
- 33:39Where you know, you're gonna stop somewhere, you're gonna
- 33:41stop for 15 minutes, let it charge, you know, get a snack,
- 33:45use a restroom, whatever. By the time you're done kind of
- 33:47working out, you know, getting some blood flowing, you're ready
- 33:51to hit the road again, right where where I also have a, a, an
- 33:56Avalon, like a hybrid Avalon thing does.
- 33:59I mean, I, I, you know, I'm all about the fish shit, right.
- 34:01So over here. Like shout out.
- 34:02Toyota, yeah, for sure for. Sure.
- 34:04No, I used to sell. I mean, I used to sell, I used
- 34:06to sell cars and so Toyota was probably my favorite.
- 34:08I sold, but OK. But I mean, one tank of gas in
- 34:14that thing, even then it's it makes it like 500 miles and it's
- 34:17a 12 gallon tank. So that I mean, so you can hit
- 34:21anywhere with that. I mean, yeah.
- 34:22Yeah. And 12 gallons takes like 2
- 34:26minutes to fill up. You know, it's not a big, that's
- 34:28a tiny tank, so. Every time people say things
- 34:31like that to me, I don't. I don't really know what that
- 34:34means, but I'm just like, OK, but then I hear 500 miles.
- 34:37I'm like, OK, the distance from here to KC is 245 miles, so
- 34:41that's twice to KC, a little bit more than that KC.
- 34:44From here, Kansas City from here is like 180 miles.
- 34:46It's. Closer.
- 34:47Yeah, it's like a. 165 OK, I'm. Thinking dodge.
- 34:50Dodge is like 230. Yeah, that's.
- 34:52Where my camera? Is that sounds about right?
- 34:53Because. KC is like 2 1/2 to three hours
- 34:55and it's 80 miles an hour. That's why it's faster, yeah.
- 35:00So, so right. So yeah, you get there real
- 35:03quick and like you can actually go there and back and like you
- 35:06can almost make 3 trips. You can.
- 35:08Yeah, almost. What kind of Well, to Casey,
- 35:11Yeah, to. Casey to Casey.
- 35:12Not to dodge, no, only make back and back.
- 35:15Why do you? I mean, if you didn't have, I
- 35:17guess you have family in Dodge, but that's the only reason I've.
- 35:19Got a dodge? I was going.
- 35:21To ask the question why? What are you doing out there?
- 35:22Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:23What are you doing? I'm out there with the cows.
- 35:25Yeah, Dodge. Is literally just the spot where
- 35:27you're like, OK, I'm almost out. Oh no, you're telling me I, I
- 35:31told this to my so my family is very my dad is because he has
- 35:36his business there and I'm pretty sure he they would
- 35:38probably not ever leave. And he's always like and he's
- 35:41like, when are you coming back or whatever?
- 35:43And I'm like, it's not here, you know?
- 35:46Like I don't know when I'm 60 and I'm ready to settle down and
- 35:48have kids and dodge when I'm 60 and I'm ready to settle down and
- 35:53have kids. Well, no.
- 35:55That just goes back to my family. 60 for.
- 35:57For the starter family, yeah, I think.
- 35:58So if it works. Your first one.
- 36:01Is 60. Yeah.
- 36:03No, it's just a joke. It's just a joke.
- 36:06I sometimes, sometimes I'm like my sarcasm is too serious.
- 36:12I can't tell. I don't know if it's yeah.
- 36:15Yeah. Like what?
- 36:15I think it's your, like how you present it.
- 36:18Yeah, you're very. Yeah.
- 36:20Because it slid past me real quick.
- 36:22I'm like, hold on. Like it kind of did make me have
- 36:24to wait. 60 kids. You know, what I've, I think
- 36:26I've learned about myself is that like, I tend to like smile
- 36:29a lot naturally. And then when I become
- 36:32sarcastic, I go serious. And so then people are like.
- 36:36She's for real. Serious.
- 36:37And I'm like, no, no, chill, I say a lot of dumb shit.
- 36:45Why? Why?
- 36:45So serious. Yeah.
- 36:46Like how? How'd you get there?
- 36:49I like that you keep people under toes, yeah.
- 36:51That's. Excellent.
- 36:52Yeah. Be ready, stay ready.
- 36:54That's. What I'm saying don't get ready,
- 36:55stay ready, yeah. Exactly.
- 36:59We. Went all over with this and I'm
- 37:01like 543 and then the round and then Tesla's and it's like where
- 37:11were we? Where were we Pickles?
- 37:13Pickles that's. Where we were in, That's, yeah,
- 37:18Pickles. So it doesn't just have to be
- 37:20cucumber, right? Like, I mean, I like.
- 37:21Cucumbers. But I mean, like, pickled
- 37:24vegetables are incredible, yeah. I like, I like, like Chiles that
- 37:28are pickled, jalapenos that are pickled.
- 37:31I like. What are the like?
- 37:33Like the pepperoncinis on a sandwich.
- 37:35That's incredible, that. Pepperoncinis it's.
- 37:37Kind of like a banana pepper. Oh.
- 37:39OK. Yeah, that's like a little bit.
- 37:40Of that, that that sour bite. Yeah, I do.
- 37:43Like that? That's what you need, Yeah,
- 37:45Yeah. I do like that an.
- 37:46Italian with a. Little bit of.
- 37:49That on there. Yeah, I like, I like those.
- 37:53It's just I can't do the Pickles.
- 37:56I don't know what it is and and I've tried so like you know how
- 38:00Lays will do random flavors and they pickle flavored.
- 38:04Bag. Yeah, 'cause.
- 38:05I wanted to try it 'cause I was like, well, maybe if I don't
- 38:08like Pickles, the pickle, maybe I'll like pickle the flavor in a
- 38:13chip because I love chips. That was my logic.
- 38:15I feel like they did a. Great job with that sales like
- 38:18that marketing they did. Yeah, so I.
- 38:21Tried it, didn't like. It and I didn't.
- 38:23Like it? I almost threw up.
- 38:24Yeah, that. Sounds terrible.
- 38:25Honestly, the pickle flavored chips sounds awful.
- 38:27I don't like yeah, I mean salt, vinegar.
- 38:30If that's what you're going for. Just stick to the the original
- 38:33the. Original.
- 38:34What about? Fried Pickles.
- 38:37Absolutely I can. I can kind of get behind those.
- 38:40I'm thinking old Chicago I think has fried Pickles as long.
- 38:44As they're not the Spears, whoever fries a freaking spear
- 38:48and like that is that's that's the wrong kind of weird.
- 38:51That's the. Not the good kind of weird wait.
- 38:53Why? Why did we draw the line there?
- 38:55No, I. Don't know.
- 38:56Have you ever had? One.
- 38:57No, not the. Speared ones I've only had the.
- 38:58Like overkill? Yeah, you want a chip?
- 39:01Like you want a bread to vegetable.
- 39:04Ratio. Yeah, you.
- 39:05Want nice, you know, like something doesn't you want
- 39:08something to fry like that so. Yeah, I don't know if you're
- 39:12going. To go if you're going to.
- 39:14Go go, I forgot. Where I even had that such.
- 39:17The Spears, I remember the first time I was like ordered fried
- 39:19Pickles. And if they bring out Spears,
- 39:20you're like, what do I do with that?
- 39:22Like. They're like serial killers.
- 39:28That's. That's fair.
- 39:30That's fair. What are other things that make
- 39:33you think that people are serial killers?
- 39:34Like, you know, like the wearing socks when they go to bed.
- 39:39Yeah. I actually, you know what,
- 39:42within all of my realm of curiosity, I never really dove
- 39:46down that path. What makes people?
- 39:50I don't think I think the only thing that really makes a person
- 39:53a serial killer, a true serial killer is going to be like a
- 39:56genetic like like inbred like like you're I thought you were.
- 40:00Going to say at least three people.
- 40:02What is it? What do you mean like Like name
- 40:04a couple drop names? Oh.
- 40:07In the math makes your serial killer when you've mapped it OK.
- 40:14Right, yeah, 'cause what it 2 doesn't quite make that.
- 40:17No, that's a three. Just kill. 3.
- 40:19Yeah, just kill people. That two could still be like
- 40:22self-defense, an accident. Like, you know, it's not till
- 40:24you hit the three, it's not till.
- 40:25You hit the three that's. Where you make the documentaries
- 40:28about like were they really bad people or were they not the
- 40:31documentaries? Are 15 like we need?
- 40:34That's as I mean, well, some. Because like, OK Monsters season
- 40:381 from Netflix, it's about the brothers who killed their
- 40:41parents and yeah, but wasn't. That that was, that's not a
- 40:45serial killer thing. That was like.
- 40:48Oh, that's true. You're right.
- 40:50So do you want some of my insight on like how I think
- 40:53would can I may I share my Yeah, I guess.
- 40:55Yeah, since you're here. Yeah, right.
- 40:57I guess why not so? I guess we invited Travis, So go
- 41:00ahead. Please share, Share away.
- 41:02All right. Cut us off.
- 41:03Yeah, Yeah, Allow me, you know, so.
- 41:08So what I would think about would be more or less like, what
- 41:12is the difference between a serial killer and a like a well,
- 41:20like someone in the like a military man who has lots of
- 41:24awards and accolades. Oh.
- 41:29I mean, they did the same thing. They both took lives.
- 41:34Yeah. Now, what's crazy to me is that
- 41:38one is promoted as a hero, Yeah. And the other one is literally
- 41:42in your war, is labeled a monster.
- 41:44Yeah. The result essentially the same
- 41:49the. Atomic bomb.
- 41:51Yeah, well, the atomic bomb was a mass murder.
- 41:53No, no. No, what I'm no what I'm saying
- 41:55what I'm saying with the atomic bomb when I say that.
- 41:58So I watched so genius National Geographic, they what who they
- 42:04call the masters or the greats, right.
- 42:06So they Season 1 is Albert Einstein, Season 2 is Picasso,
- 42:12Season 3, Aretha Franklin, Season 4, MLK.
- 42:15Yeah. Yeah, it was.
- 42:16I learned a lot. Anyways.
- 42:18I'm learning a lot. Yeah.
- 42:20It's been good. MLK and oh, my God, The leader
- 42:25of the Black Panthers. No, he's not the leader of the
- 42:27Black Panthers. The other guy anyways.
- 42:30Malcolm X Yeah. So season 5 is MLK and Malcolm X
- 42:35Yeah. Anyways, Albert Einstein, when
- 42:38he develops the atomic bomb, he does it for a different reason.
- 42:43And then he like, realizes, and This is why I asked this in the
- 42:46beginning, but then also you said it more eloquently, and
- 42:49I'll come back to that of what I meant there.
- 42:53He said he is, or at least the way that I was portrayed in the
- 42:57documentary show was that he realizes that he has the math
- 43:02for this mass weapon. Yeah, potential.
- 43:08And he is trying to get rid of it.
- 43:10He is trying to, like, hide it that he has this.
- 43:15And then because they he knows it's going to be used for mass
- 43:19murder, especially at the time that Albert Einstein is alive,
- 43:24'cause, you know, this is, I think this World War Two time.
- 43:27Yeah, yeah. And yeah, yeah.
- 43:30So I think like he dies with like that one being one of his
- 43:36biggest regrets of him, like with all the curiosity of the
- 43:39world that he has and he's wanting to get these answers.
- 43:42And the reason he like one of the reasons why he he figures
- 43:45out the math to make this thing is not for mass murder, but it's
- 43:50also I mean, his curiosity leads him down what it.
- 43:53Has because it can't power the world.
- 43:55You can use this energy. It's it can be used for
- 43:58destruction. Just all things, yeah.
- 44:00You know, and that's why he goes into this and then and so
- 44:03anyways, why was I going to this?
- 44:07To me that was connected because I mean it was like, is it better
- 44:10to know or is it better to understand and like he
- 44:14understood? That that was what this could,
- 44:17you know? Yeah.
- 44:18But. But he is what he what is
- 44:21considered one of the masters to like as in like this person.
- 44:24Yeah, I mean, and so so for him it because he's so determined
- 44:29and all of these masters and all of these shows to the seasons
- 44:32and others throughout history, you know, they're determined.
- 44:36They're they're chasing at this time.
- 44:38And also the word is greatness, but now probably doesn't land in
- 44:43the same way that it that it was for them then.
- 44:45So it's like they're chasing greatness, not power, but
- 44:50knowledge, growth, all these things.
- 44:54And to do that you have to sacrifice a lot.
- 44:58They were all very bad parents, very bad lovers there.
- 45:03All of them, all of them. We love, we love MLK.
- 45:06He was he was. Well, actually I haven't
- 45:09finished it. So not as bad, but a little bit
- 45:14and to the monster stuff a little bit, kind of it's like
- 45:22when, when do we draw the line of do we continue?
- 45:28Like when do we draw the line of like, this is something to raise
- 45:31up and and admire and this is something that is not.
- 45:36And I think to the serial killer stuff, maybe it's a little
- 45:39easier maybe because I think the people who get awards for, I
- 45:46mean, the way that they're described for getting these
- 45:48awards, it's not because of how many people they killed.
- 45:51They're like, they won. Yeah.
- 45:53Like a. Medal of Honor, you know?
- 45:54Yeah. Hope they.
- 45:55Completed the mission. Yeah, just so.
- 45:58How they had. To run through 20 people to do
- 45:59it right, Yeah. So preamble is, is that I'd man
- 46:02to make sure that when I bring that up or when I have these
- 46:05thoughts, they are not of judgment.
- 46:07Like I do not, you know, like and like all of our armed forces
- 46:10people out here. I'm not, yeah.
- 46:11Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah 'cause. They, yeah, I mean.
- 46:14Yeah, don't cancel this yet, right, right.
- 46:16Yeah, just give us a little bit. We got plenty more to worry
- 46:18about, right? So, but my grandfather used to
- 46:22tell me who was in World War Two.
- 46:24He said he used to, he, he taught me a lot of weird stuff
- 46:27or he gave me a lot of weird little tidbits and I was picked
- 46:30up on like quotes and a couple from him.
- 46:32One of him was my, that it stuck with me and I didn't realize how
- 46:36powerful it was when I was again, you know, the single
- 46:39digit age. But he, he told me, he said you
- 46:43were going to have more in common with the person that
- 46:45you're pointing the rifle at than the person who told you to
- 46:47point the rifle. Oh.
- 46:50Yeah. And so and that's what he's very
- 46:53anti a very anti war, very anti conflict and understandably so.
- 46:59You know, I mean, like anybody who's experienced that that I'm
- 47:02aware of comes, you know, they're they're they come back
- 47:07and they need emotional and then you need that is not what we're
- 47:12here for. I I personally don't believe
- 47:14that we came to this earth to extend you to extinguish another
- 47:19person's like like journey and what what have you.
- 47:23And the only reason why we have a conflict, let's be honest, is
- 47:27that two people that neither of y'all have ever met or ever will
- 47:32know have like a similar desire of a certain one thing of a
- 47:37limited amount. So they are going to like so and
- 47:41they have. Power that they can.
- 47:43They have the authority to be able to exercise in mass
- 47:49multiple people to go chase this thing and I.
- 47:52Think of the of. The limiting, I think.
- 47:55What they have is an understanding.
- 47:58They understand. They don't know they understand
- 48:01how to. And how?
- 48:04To put all these right elements together and even create that
- 48:08conflict and being the person who is pointing rather than the
- 48:12person who's carrying and running in in the middle of it.
- 48:18Yeah, I was going to start with this one 'cause I was like
- 48:22thinking of Naruto quo tonight. I don't watch it.
- 48:25Yeah, give me. That quote you have to.
- 48:26And then and then so this reminded me of that was and I
- 48:31might say the person, the character's name wrong.
- 48:33So don't kill me, guys. He was like the quote was I was
- 48:39his enemy. Yet he's still he cried for me
- 48:44and it's Gar talking about Gara. Gara there.
- 48:49See, that's what I'm saying. I knew I was going to say wrong.
- 48:52Gara talking about how you know it's his character art
- 48:56development and how him and Arto were not allies in the
- 49:00beginning. No they.
- 49:01Were Gara was a beast yeah yeah, and season and the and the the
- 49:09first seasons when they were kids jump yeah, he was he was
- 49:12like the guy he was kind of like the scariest one by far yeah, he
- 49:16had he was he was that he was the monster.
- 49:19Yeah, straight monster. Yeah, take life.
- 49:22Yeah, shout. Out to Gara when Rockley finally
- 49:25take the weights off Dude dude. That.
- 49:27Was that was like when it like the first big moment in the show
- 49:30when he took when he takes off those you're like, oh,
- 49:34everybody's like, oh, OK, he's going.
- 49:35To take off his little 5. # weights.
- 49:36And I'm like, no, these things were like 2000 lbs on each leg.
- 49:40Yeah, epic, epic. So well done.
- 49:43Dude, that was a scene right there.
- 49:45Took down the building, Ding nearby taking off What?
- 49:47The weights on his legs. So I think it's time that we
- 49:50take off the headphones and break for a drink so that we can
- 49:56continue down this conversation. Damn, that was a good
- 49:59transition. Guys, did you see that I'm
- 50:02getting better? Yeah.

- 51:10jumping around. That's fine.
- 51:11OK, OK, OK, Alright. OK.
- 51:14I mean conversation. Is conversation, you know?
- 51:17I think this is a great conversation.
- 51:19Oh. I feel like we're just getting
- 51:21started. Yeah, we're, we're scratching
- 51:23the surface. We're buffing out the scratches,
- 51:26buffing up. From scratches, we're going to.
- 51:28Buff them out now in this next sequence.
- 51:33No segment. Welcome back to segment #2
- 51:48Appears to You, the podcast. We're sitting here with Travis.
- 51:52We've got our drinks poured. They've got orange peels in them
- 51:58just like we just picked them from an orange tree.
- 52:04I did. What did we?
- 52:05Make I. This morning I went out to my
- 52:08backyard and I went to my orange tree where it's next to the
- 52:13watermelons that I grew from Sydney's episode back in episode
- 52:1649. And I picked the freshest orange
- 52:20I could find just for Travis. He's actually having a mocktail,
- 52:26but because we do like alcohol, not that much, Dad.
- 52:40Does your dad not drink? No, it's just so he knows that
- 52:43I'm not an alcoholic. It's all in a moderation Yeah,
- 52:48responsibly drink. Responsibly bottle by bottle.
- 52:54That's your slogan? No, Travis said that he likes
- 52:57reposado, but we're actually out of reposado.
- 52:59So we did Aneko for us and we, Bryce, you need to make a 0
- 53:06proof cocked alcohol, please and thank you.
- 53:10I'm asking for the guests who don't drink, not for me 'cause I
- 53:15will do the drink. I'm fine with it.
- 53:17But yeah, no, we made, I don't, I don't know, it's kind of like
- 53:20an old fashioned. It's kind of not.
- 53:23It kind of is there's lime in there and you wouldn't typically
- 53:26put that in an old fashioned, but I don't know, you just said
- 53:29that you like to put you like to put ice in your reposado.
- 53:33So I was like, OK, that's. Usually what I would mix, yeah.
- 53:37Tequila and ice cube, Yeah. 'Cause like he's, he's really
- 53:41going through shit. You're really.
- 53:43Going through shit when you drink like that.
- 53:45I don't I. Disagree.
- 53:46I don't. I think when you're mixing like
- 53:48tequila, if you have good tequila, yeah.
- 53:50If you're mixing something with it, you're kind of just stealing
- 53:52the show. Stealing from the show.
- 53:55You wouldn't. You wouldn't have known that,
- 53:57yeah. I mean, yeah.
- 53:58I mean, if, if, if, if I was drinking right now, I'd just
- 54:00say, yeah, just pour me a glass. Yeah.
- 54:03See, I don't need all that other stuff.
- 54:04All that sugar. Why?
- 54:05Why would you put all that sugar?
- 54:06I mean, don't get me wrong. Delicious drinks, honey.
- 54:08I love it. No, yours is different.
- 54:11Honey is is a different type of sugar.
- 54:13It's natural sugar. Agreed.
- 54:15It's actually, I don't even believe.
- 54:16I mean, is it even sugar? Well, I mean like a natural
- 54:19sweetener, I guess, right? That that would be the word.
- 54:21Yeah, Yeah. It's has has studies show that
- 54:26it has a much lower glycemic effect or it it doesn't
- 54:29necessarily your body absorbs it much better.
- 54:34It doesn't, you know, create. What is it I.
- 54:40Don't know what sugar does to your body to be honest with you.
- 54:42Makes. You insulin resistant, so that
- 54:47has much less of an effect on it, OK.
- 54:50I I use honey a lot in my meals that I make for myself, mostly
- 54:58because I'm following recipes. I just follow.
- 55:03Have you have you ever heard of Royal Honey?
- 55:06No. Oh, OK.
- 55:08What's that? How do I get those bees in my
- 55:10backyard next to my orange tree? Am I watermelon?
- 55:13Are those are those are watermelons?
- 55:15And I'm only asking this for I'm.
- 55:17I'm only asking for you guys because I have them in my
- 55:20backyard. But like watermelons, they don't
- 55:23grow. No, they're from the ground.
- 55:25They grow like a vine. They grow out like a vine.
- 55:28But but isn't it that fruits grow off trees?
- 55:30Correct. So it was watermelon.
- 55:33Technically not. That's a good a fruit.
- 55:35That's a great. Question I don't think I don't
- 55:38believe the the way it has grown defines that because typically
- 55:43from what I understand is like the fruit that means like the
- 55:46seeds have to be in the middle there's like a skin or something
- 55:49to it like that was the those are the defined but then.
- 55:52The strawberry doesn't make sense.
- 55:53Strawberry. Is not a fruit a.
- 55:55Blueberry, a tomato. Is a fruit the?
- 55:57Tomato is a fruit, but it does have the strawberries.
- 56:00Technically is a fruit, but I've from what I remember reading
- 56:02last is that there's some kind of subcategory of fruit that it
- 56:05belongs to, but it's not considered like normal fruit.
- 56:09Gotcha. It's like the spiders are not
- 56:11insects, they're arachnite. See that I?
- 56:14Wouldn't dude, it's an insect. It's.
- 56:16Not an insect. It's not technically an insect.
- 56:19I agree. Right.
- 56:20Yeah. And like a bird is a mammal.
- 56:24Is it? I thought, not a chance, But
- 56:28birds lay eggs, Mammals don't. I know.
- 56:30I know no birds. Not AII object.
- 56:34What's that? Most mammals.
- 56:36Don't. Is it like a platypus is?
- 56:38A Oh my, wait, my bad. Birds are mammals, guys.
- 56:41They're foul. There is an animal that is a
- 56:42mammal that it shouldn't be a a mammal.
- 56:45Humans. The whale.
- 56:47Seriously. Which one a whale I.
- 56:51Guess homo sapien is what I meant to go with but.
- 56:54I like this AI overview of what defines fruit there.
- 56:59Explain. Yeah.
- 56:59Read it to us. Read it.
- 57:00You can't really trust AI, but go for it.
- 57:02A fruit. Is botanically defined as the
- 57:05ripened ovary of a flowering plant that contains one or more
- 57:08seeds that was. So sexual, that's what I.
- 57:10Was just dude, that's sexy, right?
- 57:13That was so. Sexual you had.
- 57:15Some ripened ovaries today in your mouth.
- 57:24Banana is is a yes. It did.
- 57:28I had a. Banana this morning.
- 57:31Cheers. Cheers.
- 57:36Cheers to ovaries in our mouths. And bananas, huh?
- 57:42That was perfect because it's both of the sexual organs.
- 57:45Yeah, went there quickly. So are we.
- 57:49Going there next. No.
- 57:54I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I don't ask questions that I
- 57:58wouldn't be comfortable answering myself.
- 58:01So yeah, especially on the pod outside of the pods.
- 58:05Different sort. Yeah, of course.
- 58:10OK, so you've had you have a really unexpected resume like
- 58:13your resume of things is besides, because you're a
- 58:17curious person. We've already established that
- 58:19in Part 1. But like I understand that you
- 58:22have recorded rappers too because you used to be a
- 58:25producer. Of course, going back to you
- 58:28building computers at 12, you have that fire extinguisher
- 58:31story and then like you're in real estate for mortgage.
- 58:39I do both so so real licensed real estate agent, but also
- 58:43licensed mortgage loan originator, OK.
- 58:46Yeah. And I'm pretty sure there's more
- 58:48in here that I couldn't find about you because you're you've
- 58:51kind of hidden some stuff because you've done you have a
- 58:54past. Yeah.
- 58:56OK. I I just didn't look hard
- 58:57enough. No, it's just.
- 58:59A little mystery is always good for any kind of situation.
- 59:02Yeah, you never know why. It's because you're the, you're
- 59:04the elder millennial. So like I'm like the.
- 59:07First two years or something like that, yeah.
- 59:09So like you definitely right before putting everything on the
- 59:14Internet, you're on Myspace, Yeah.
- 59:17Yeah, I had a Myspace. That's where I should have got
- 59:20it anyway. I don't think I don't even know
- 59:22if I ever really did anything with it.
- 59:23Like I have one. In fact, I would be so curious
- 59:27to see what it looked like, yeah.
- 59:28You don't remember? You didn't.
- 59:30Get into coding back then. No, actually I I did all the.
- 59:33That's when I got into it more than software.
- 59:35I I really like the hands on the building and, and seeing how
- 59:39something worked, like understanding that this part,
- 59:42you know, video card sound cards, like you know, just how
- 59:44everything created a thing. You have all these pieces and
- 59:46then it creates this one like it it, it has one task or many
- 59:51tasks, but it the software required a lot more patience
- 59:57than I had as a child and it's. Probably has to do with the fact
- 59:59that you're an elder millennial, so not enough in.
- 1:00:02Well, yeah. I mean well, I mean I started I
- 1:00:04like when I was a kid it was dos so like if if y'all even know
- 1:00:08what that is right, So I don't. What is that?
- 1:00:10Sorry Dos. Is like the OG operating system.
- 1:00:12It literally stood for disk operating system.
- 1:00:15So like you, you didn't have any graphic interface, there was no
- 1:00:18mouse, you just had to know how to type and tell the computer
- 1:00:22what to do and speak computer. And speak.
- 1:00:25Computer speak. Computer, yeah, basically.
- 1:00:26Did you get better? How old were you?
- 1:00:28I mean single digits, Yeah. So wait you.
- 1:00:31Had one of those. You grew a bridge, a computer?
- 1:00:34Yeah. Like that type of computer that
- 1:00:37that didn't have an interface the windows well.
- 1:00:41It just didn't like really wasn't a thing yet.
- 1:00:44Like, it wasn't until like, Windows 95 did computers have
- 1:00:49interfaces. Yeah.
- 1:00:50But you're, you're saying you you grew up with like in terms
- 1:00:52of like you had that at home. We used.
- 1:00:54The computer that had DOS and you had to be like you had that.
- 1:00:56At home, yeah. Yeah, you'd.
- 1:00:57Have to type like. If you want to play the game,
- 1:00:59you have to type like the commands.
- 1:01:01Yeah, something. Dot EXE and hit enter.
- 1:01:02You know, like I only. Know that because of Sheldon
- 1:01:05Cooper, The Big Bang Theory. That's the only reason I know
- 1:01:08that. So so I'm that's what I'm
- 1:01:10visualizing as you did. But I'm I'm saying you had that
- 1:01:12at home. You grew a bridge.
- 1:01:15Seriously. Just because you had a computer,
- 1:01:18I mean. Man, dude.
- 1:01:19Yeah, dude. Yeah, I mean, no.
- 1:01:21Yeah, so I grew up. In Bel Air and back then Bel Air
- 1:01:24was way outside of Wichita like it was out there.
- 1:01:27So which it? Is still today, I mean.
- 1:01:29Not really, dude. You can't tell when you leave
- 1:01:30once. Yeah, you can't tell when you
- 1:01:32leave any. Like it was like 3 miles of just
- 1:01:34trees between US and wait Bel. Air, I'm thinking not the like.
- 1:01:3745th OK, yeah. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:01:40OK, OK. It was the greatest neighborhood
- 1:01:42to grow up in, I feel like in that era.
- 1:01:45But yes, I remember the first time like getting on the
- 1:01:48Internet dial up and like we had Warcraft, like the first
- 1:01:51Warcraft and you can, you know, you can't call your homie
- 1:01:56because you pick up the phone, you lose connection.
- 1:01:59But we. Would like we we spent like 3
- 1:02:01hours trying to play a game of Warcraft.
- 1:02:04Like where I would my computer, I would type in his IP address
- 1:02:08and call his computer, then his computer would answer and then
- 1:02:11we could actually play a game together online.
- 1:02:14That's. Cool though.
- 1:02:16Like isn't isn't that crazy? Yeah, so epic.
- 1:02:18I bet. I bet your little kid brain was
- 1:02:20like dude. So epic, you know what I mean?
- 1:02:23So like 'cause that's. How I feel.
- 1:02:25Working in it now. Now they call it couch Co-op.
- 1:02:27That used to be called 2 player. What's?
- 1:02:30A couch Co-op? Well, what do you mean by that?
- 1:02:32Like we can both sit on the couch and play the game
- 1:02:34together. Physically and.
- 1:02:36Playing off the. Same screen or TV or whatever.
- 1:02:39Yeah, it's called two player, but now two player means it's
- 1:02:42online, basically multiplayer, yeah.
- 1:02:45It's like. You're at your house and I'm at
- 1:02:47my house, OK? See, I've been.
- 1:02:49I stopped with video games at the GameCube.
- 1:02:53That's where I stopped. So did.
- 1:02:54I I think, yeah. So like so I'm like these terms.
- 1:02:58I'm just for recent. I guess years when I had a kid,
- 1:03:00then it kind of and then. It came back, came back.
- 1:03:02OK. Gotcha.
- 1:03:04Yeah. Whose?
- 1:03:04Choice was that, definitely. Mine, yeah.
- 1:03:07No, I mean. It's yeah.
- 1:03:09It's like, well, I love. It.
- 1:03:10I love it. That's the reason you had a kid.
- 1:03:13Dude, besides the. Sex, yeah.
- 1:03:20Besides the. Ovaries and the bananas, that
- 1:03:23was the bonus, right? That.
- 1:03:27Was cool. I will say my favorite thing
- 1:03:29about being a dad is I get to relive childhood through my
- 1:03:32son's eyes. It is the freaking coolest thing
- 1:03:35ever. So much fun.
- 1:03:37How old is? He, he's 10.
- 1:03:39Yeah, He just. Turned 10 a couple like 2 months
- 1:03:41ago, but what is? Your favorite question that
- 1:03:44you've asked your son? Oh, Jesus.
- 1:03:46I fail as a dad on that level now.
- 1:03:48I'm not nearly as cool as my mom is what I'm saying.
- 1:03:52I've asked him those same questions.
- 1:03:53So like a lot of those same questions.
- 1:03:55Well, has he told you? But we, if you remember, I don't
- 1:03:58necessarily have like those one line questions that I hit him
- 1:04:01with. We just have very deep
- 1:04:03conversations. So we really will get into
- 1:04:06conversation. And my favorite question that
- 1:04:10I've asked him is what do you think?
- 1:04:15Yeah, yeah. So letting, letting him, yeah,
- 1:04:17like I express himself the greatest.
- 1:04:19Thing I ever learned as a parent was the Socratic method of
- 1:04:23teaching. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:25So. My nickname as a child, my mom
- 1:04:28used to call me walkie-talkie because all I did was follow her
- 1:04:30around the house and just be like and just ask questions.
- 1:04:32I asked a million questions and my son identical to me on that
- 1:04:36level really. Like he's Do you love that or do
- 1:04:38you hate that? You know what I mean, 'cause
- 1:04:39like, you know, yeah, 'cause like I was a talking about him.
- 1:04:43I love that. About him, but sometimes I am
- 1:04:45not like, you know, like the the when you're.
- 1:04:47At the level of burnout and you're like, you're getting that
- 1:04:50the why, why, why? Well then why?
- 1:04:53Like what? Well, what does that?
- 1:04:54What? Why I don't?
- 1:04:55Know Google it well now it's TikTok though, yeah.
- 1:04:58Well, I don't, we don't, I don't, we don't do a lot of
- 1:05:00that's. Good.
- 1:05:01So like, have you read The Anxious Generation?
- 1:05:03No, you need to read that book. OK, no, but I.
- 1:05:05Mean I still I think I know enough of the basis about it,
- 1:05:07but like if the guy who invented the technology that we all abuse
- 1:05:11didn't allow it at his in his house, I think there's a strong
- 1:05:14like that should tell me everything I need to know yes.
- 1:05:16So it goes. The anxious generation.
- 1:05:19Really, really good book. I'd recommend it to everyone.
- 1:05:21I read a lot of I don't have kids, I'm just an aunt and I'm
- 1:05:24just trying to be a really good aunt, that's all.
- 1:05:26The cool aunt, Yeah. Everybody needs those.
- 1:05:28Yeah, I'm. Just trying to be a good aunt
- 1:05:30and, and I have both, you know, I have nephews and nieces.
- 1:05:35So I'm also like unlearning a lot of things that I used to
- 1:05:38believe too, just so that I can be a good aunt on both of those
- 1:05:42areas. But the anxious generation, it's
- 1:05:46talking about just the rise of social media and how really we
- 1:05:52should like really there should be an age limit of when you can
- 1:05:56get access to social media, which should be at 16.
- 1:06:00I agree. And because that's about.
- 1:06:02When it started to exist, even for us, Facebook was only on
- 1:06:07campus when it started. And I remember my buddy, I'd go
- 1:06:10up to Lawrence as often as I could to go hang out with them
- 1:06:14and, and KU and he showed me Facebook and he's like, this is
- 1:06:18just, you know, so we can. And it was all about like,
- 1:06:20where's the party at tonight? Like, where's it going down?
- 1:06:22You know, it was very, if you didn't have AEDU e-mail address,
- 1:06:26you couldn't get on Facebook. So if for us, I guess it wasn't
- 1:06:30even 16. It was like college, Yeah.
- 1:06:32So even different, right? Like 1819 and and.
- 1:06:35For me, it was a little like Facebook doesn't.
- 1:06:38Well, I think Facebook was around when for me, 'cause like
- 1:06:42I start with, it was called Bebo, that was a different
- 1:06:45social media platform. And then I went to Myspace and
- 1:06:48then I went to Facebook. Dang.
- 1:06:50OK, Yeah. But at that time, there was an
- 1:06:53age limit that you had to be 13. And that's what it started with
- 1:06:56for me. And I remember like, I have an
- 1:06:59older sister. And so my, you know, actual
- 1:07:02immigrants. So like my parents, I mean, my
- 1:07:05dad speaks English, but my mom didn't.
- 1:07:06And so my older sister had, I had to ask for permission from
- 1:07:10her too, essentially when the things were in English.
- 1:07:13So like, because it was just like my mom would be like, are
- 1:07:18you lying to me? Well, I just don't.
- 1:07:21Really. See you mean what?
- 1:07:23What so I? Had to be 13 to be on there.
- 1:07:26But really, I mean, I think like, you know, I should have
- 1:07:30waited more, but all my friends were on it.
- 1:07:32I remember everyone was on it at 11, at ten.
- 1:07:35Yeah, that's a trap. It really.
- 1:07:37Is 'cause. I don't care.
- 1:07:38But at first you don't. Yeah, at first you don't think
- 1:07:41it's bad because right now, like, everyone's on it, you know
- 1:07:44what I mean? And and you don't think it's
- 1:07:47bad. But then I started reading this
- 1:07:48book, and like you, I mean, so I go really deep into the
- 1:07:52psychology stuff. I love that, Yeah.
- 1:07:54And the. Neuroscience stuff too, like I
- 1:07:56or now I'm I'm deep diving into the neuroscience stuff, but like
- 1:08:01how it's described, how it really effects you at that young
- 1:08:05of an age. I'm sure like, well, 'cause you,
- 1:08:08you're still so early in your development, yes, as far as what
- 1:08:11your brain is, yeah. And so I mean, I'm sure even us,
- 1:08:13we, we experienced a lot of things like that.
- 1:08:15But but but not like this. Not like the current like my
- 1:08:18children and and like even even just like.
- 1:08:21My little sister, sorry, my little sister and I are nine
- 1:08:24years apart. I bring her up a lot.
- 1:08:25I love you. I bring up all my siblings a
- 1:08:28lot, absolutely. But what I say this, even with
- 1:08:34my good friends, we talk about this all the time, is like how
- 1:08:37much, like the insecurity is really high because of the
- 1:08:40comparison, because of how much access you have to that versus
- 1:08:44just, you know, what's in your surroundings, physical
- 1:08:48surroundings. And now we're talking virtual
- 1:08:49surroundings and and, and it's, well, it's a lot.
- 1:08:55This goes into a philosophy that I, I have that I picked up on
- 1:08:58that I read somewhere was like you, you really can't control
- 1:09:02what you think. You can't control where you know
- 1:09:04the thought. What does a thought come from?
- 1:09:07Like you don't think to think a thought.
- 1:09:10You don't think to think a thought.
- 1:09:11No, it just. Comes like you don't control
- 1:09:14what you think you don't think. Trauma has something to do with
- 1:09:17that or your experience has something to do with that.
- 1:09:19Well, that's. Actually where I'm gonna go with
- 1:09:21this. Oh, OK, OK.
- 1:09:21OK. So go ahead.
- 1:09:22What you can't control is what you observe.
- 1:09:26So what controls how you think is what you are like, what you
- 1:09:30allow you to be able to see and observe.
- 1:09:34So what you see, what you hear like the what you listen to,
- 1:09:38what you know all like, what you touch like, These things will
- 1:09:41affect how you think. Yeah.
- 1:09:44So if you want to protect, if you want better mindset, you
- 1:09:48need to be making sure that you're inputting the right
- 1:09:51stuff. So just like, and I look at it
- 1:09:54very much like diet, like I don't like to diet.
- 1:09:56Yeah, like I. Don't like to eat food that's I
- 1:09:59don't like to eat food like product that's this that is sold
- 1:10:02as food. I like to eat food like if you
- 1:10:05come into my house, there's not a single snack I have
- 1:10:09ingredients I don't have. There's nothing in a box I don't
- 1:10:14own as like nothing is boxed. It's like, I mean the flour and
- 1:10:19and you know, rice and beans and OK, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:22Meats and vegetables and fruits. So your.
- 1:10:24Kid at your house will not have snacks for the.
- 1:10:27Roll ups No, I don't have fruit roll ups.
- 1:10:29I do like you like, you know, like no, he I do put a like
- 1:10:33these. Candies that Fiona gave us?
- 1:10:34Yep. I mean, I mean, don't get me
- 1:10:36wrong, we. Don't get me.
- 1:10:38Wrong. We eat candy and like he's he's
- 1:10:40got like a fruit snacks that I put in his lunches.
- 1:10:43You know, like I make his lunch. He's I make breakfast, lunch and
- 1:10:45dinner for him every day, almost every day.
- 1:10:48But like he packs a lunch. I don't want him to eat whatever
- 1:10:51the the the schools feed him because that is garbage.
- 1:10:54Like it's Michelle. Obama fixed it.
- 1:10:58We went there, huh? Yeah.
- 1:11:00Yeah, yeah. Hey, I didn't hear the That
- 1:11:02sounded like the little disgruntled Beavis and butt
- 1:11:06head. So yeah, that's what I mean.
- 1:11:09He did it on his own. Yeah, he.
- 1:11:10Did he was like? But it's but he's getting zoom.
- 1:11:14In on that, sorry, go ahead. I was going to.
- 1:11:17Say the same thing as if that's true for your body, the same
- 1:11:20thing is true for your mind. Yeah.
- 1:11:21So when you're putting your, when you're exposing yourself to
- 1:11:24all this, this, the social and the the, the virtual, I don't
- 1:11:29even like, I've gotten really weird.
- 1:11:31Like when I, when you say I'm weird, I am weird.
- 1:11:33Like I don't like to watch movies that are about violence.
- 1:11:36I don't like watching. I don't like, I don't like
- 1:11:40negativity. I don't I understand that it's
- 1:11:42the world, but I I just come to the point to where I've
- 1:11:46experienced enough of that, you know, I I don't want to see any
- 1:11:49more people killing each other. It just doesn't find it
- 1:11:51entertaining. Like I do watch some of it,
- 1:11:53don't get me wrong, but it's not what I go for.
- 1:11:56Like I want, I want to watch anime because it's about my
- 1:11:59ninja way and it's about like I refuse to quit.
- 1:12:02Nothing in this universe has the power to stop me but me.
- 1:12:07I want that in my mind. I want that to be fed to my
- 1:12:10psyche. So then when I think, I think
- 1:12:12about those kind of things. That's what controls my where my
- 1:12:15thoughts come from. I I think, I think that goes
- 1:12:17back to what you said at the beginning.
- 1:12:19Is it better to know or to understand?
- 1:12:21And that's what you're saying that you prefer to understand
- 1:12:24than to know. So it's like I've known enough
- 1:12:27already of this. I was about to say sorry to my
- 1:12:29mic. I apologize.
- 1:12:31It'll. Be fine, you're my.
- 1:12:34Friend. I love you.
- 1:12:38Some dig a little. Bit of a abuse anyway, right?
- 1:12:40Yeah. Thing after we tear it apart and
- 1:12:43just go in a bag abandoned like Andy's toys.
- 1:12:51Eventually we're going to be able to leave them up all the
- 1:12:53time. Oh, I love how you just, like,
- 1:12:56speak everything into existence. Boom.
- 1:12:58Yeah, I love it. I love it, I love it.
- 1:13:04We. Started down this path because
- 1:13:06we were talking about your unexpected resume.
- 1:13:08OK yeah. And there was a lot of really
- 1:13:11good stuff in there that I wanted to like trail off into,
- 1:13:17but I already forgot. So you recorded rappers though?
- 1:13:21And I recorded music, OK. So Ben told me that you used to
- 1:13:25record rappers. That that was a lot of who I
- 1:13:28was, a lot of my client base, Yeah.
- 1:13:30Oh, OK, and my brother so it started off with my brother and
- 1:13:35I started making music together and I wanted to weird story, but
- 1:13:40anyway, like we're we used to. I don't even this too much too
- 1:13:44much knowledge. I can't share some of that.
- 1:13:45No, that's. What we want, sorry.
- 1:13:51So. But yes, we started making
- 1:13:54music. He rapped.
- 1:13:56I mean, we listen to rap growing up, right?
- 1:13:57So that's that was like the native the the art form that we
- 1:14:01wanted to express in. But I mean to me, music I got to
- 1:14:06me again, maybe weird music wasn't just about that.
- 1:14:09Like my goal when I was making music was I really wanted to, I
- 1:14:12wanted to make people feel the. Storytelling.
- 1:14:15It didn't matter. Like, yeah, it, I mean it just
- 1:14:18everybody's different. So I just wanted to evoke
- 1:14:20emotion now. It could be through story, it
- 1:14:23could be through sound, it could be through so many different
- 1:14:26ways. But like if you know, you won
- 1:14:27when you, when somebody listen to something you did and and
- 1:14:29they had goosebumps, that's like the win.
- 1:14:32That's as an entertainer in my in my thought, but also like
- 1:14:36sometimes it just makes you want to move.
- 1:14:38This makes me want to dance, right.
- 1:14:40So, but as me being as where as I am like I when I'm making
- 1:14:43music, it wasn't I also, it was a whole philosophy for me where
- 1:14:48music touches into like the core principles of the entire
- 1:14:51universe. And it's, it's about
- 1:14:54frequencies, it's about understanding harmony.
- 1:14:58Neuroscience. Yeah, it is.
- 1:15:00Well. Everything is Everything is a
- 1:15:02frequency. This.
- 1:15:03Yeah. So a theory I have as a child
- 1:15:04was that we're actually like what a human being really is.
- 1:15:08Is a photon filter a? Photon filter a photon.
- 1:15:11Filter. What is that?
- 1:15:12So. Like exists as both waves and
- 1:15:15photons. OK.
- 1:15:16Say that, run that back one more time because I was doing
- 1:15:19something else and I couldn't process at the same time.
- 1:15:21Which part? Like like.
- 1:15:23The light, light, light. Like the what what emits as
- 1:15:26light come, it exists as both photons and waveform.
- 1:15:30Can you? What's a photon?
- 1:15:32A photon. Is basically light OK so I'm a
- 1:15:37Google it yeah yeah, that's chat that's chat what what a photon
- 1:15:40is so but it's it's it's a wave until it's observed it's.
- 1:15:45A fundamental particle quantum. You're talking about quantum
- 1:15:49things now. This is the theory I.
- 1:15:52Had I came up OK, OK. OK, sorry.
- 1:15:54OK, OK, sorry. Let's go back to this you're. 11
- 1:15:56or 12? Correct.
- 1:16:00The first time you. You the first time.
- 1:16:02I heard you have some. Type ADHD, autism.
- 1:16:06Sure, all of them. OK, that's no, I'm kidding.
- 1:16:10I mean, I've been I've been diagnosed, yes, ADHD and slight,
- 1:16:14you know, like high functioning spectrum that makes.
- 1:16:17Sense, yeah. So I love.
- 1:16:19Neuro Spicy. Yeah, you.
- 1:16:25Believe your your belief at or your So what you found out at 11
- 1:16:30We are or not we are but this. All ties into music too at the
- 1:16:33same way, because music is frequency that can only be
- 1:16:35observed through the ear. So that's everything is
- 1:16:39frequency, everything is frequency.
- 1:16:41The only reason why color is the color it is because of of how it
- 1:16:44resonates, at what frequency it resonates the way that.
- 1:16:46The light, yeah, the way that the light travels and and
- 1:16:50reflects back, that's where color exists.
- 1:16:53From, from how it resonates like how how it vibrates OK, yeah,
- 1:16:57yeah. So it vibrates so quickly that
- 1:16:59it is a color and but you, that vibration can only be seen,
- 1:17:04cannot be heard. And so there's this full
- 1:17:06spectrum of vibrations out here. And that music to me was a big
- 1:17:09part of that. Cuz like what I found
- 1:17:13fascinating as I, as I just experimented and my nickname as
- 1:17:18the, my production nickname was the mad scientist.
- 1:17:22So that was literally what was on my business card.
- 1:17:24OK, was the mad scientist How old?
- 1:17:26Are you when you came up with that still?
- 1:17:28Original it's. Great branding.
- 1:17:31Really. I feel like it's that sarcasm.
- 1:17:33Is that being serious or? No, that one's sarcasm.
- 1:17:37I mean, it was what I was. That's what they called me, not
- 1:17:40that's what they called me. Not like what I came up with,
- 1:17:43but we're talking about early mid 20s That's why.
- 1:17:46Mediocre. No, I'm kidding.
- 1:17:47Oh geez. I'm kidding.
- 1:17:50Really stabbed, you know, I mean low rise jeans, you know, the
- 1:17:54fashion trends there, what's? Wrong with low rise jeans,
- 1:17:57they're just. Not that great as it.
- 1:18:00Well, OK for men. It's so good I forget I work
- 1:18:04with men. I love working with men so much.
- 1:18:08It is so much fun. Just keep.
- 1:18:15Going so anyway, but. I'm not even going to comment
- 1:18:18but this. But my study was just how I
- 1:18:20looked at it was, you know, frequencies like when 2, when 2
- 1:18:25notes meet each other that they, they, they're harmonic.
- 1:18:29Their, their, their waves actually will touch at their
- 1:18:31highs and their lows. And that's what makes it
- 1:18:32harmonic and makes it sound good and feel good.
- 1:18:35And then you have sounds that are dissident, which means that
- 1:18:37they don't ever touch. Like the waves will never meet
- 1:18:39each other. So they just don't sound like
- 1:18:41they belong. And same as like, I mean, that
- 1:18:43literally applies to all things in my, in my eyes, like so much
- 1:18:48of this universe, like you, like you, when you're harmonious
- 1:18:51with, with all that is like it, you're touched by.
- 1:18:54And when you're not touching it, you have this dissidence.
- 1:19:00Sorry. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's
- 1:19:02really, I'm really processing it.
- 1:19:04No worries. I'm visualizing.
- 1:19:06I'm a visual learner. Is what I'm I really that's?
- 1:19:09Why I Corey when we mix in key when we're DJ ING, it sounds
- 1:19:12awesome. And being a DJ like you
- 1:19:15definitely understand that because you you will speed
- 1:19:17things up and slow them down. And by doing so, we'll change
- 1:19:19the key it is. And so you have to retune it
- 1:19:21too, to where the next song matches the last song and it
- 1:19:24continues to flow. Yeah, I hate when I hate when
- 1:19:27DJs don't know how to do that as a listener did that.
- 1:19:30Yeah, exactly. Or else you're not really a DJ
- 1:19:32and you're just, you're just playing a song after another
- 1:19:34song. Exactly.
- 1:19:35Put me on Ox. Tell me you'll love that when
- 1:19:39they work. It when they don't.
- 1:19:41When they don't, yeah. No, dude, that's you to the T
- 1:19:44Yeah, that's you 100%. I don't know you.
- 1:19:48I mean, I've met you twice now and I completely understand
- 1:19:51that's who you are. Yeah, I use.
- 1:19:52Like a lot of a lot of atmospherics and stuff and I'll
- 1:19:57force it. I'll jump 50 BPM right now.
- 1:20:01Man, right fucking now put me in coach back at Dusty.
- 1:20:04And go no, no. Oh man.
- 1:20:09I could. See that I could see Dusty.
- 1:20:10Just me. Dusty's like I I've sent this to
- 1:20:13him like from New Girl. Have you guys seen New Girl?
- 1:20:15Of course. What?
- 1:20:19Is it? It's a.
- 1:20:21Funny sitcom? Is it a sitcom?
- 1:20:24Zooey Deschanel. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:25Yeah, I've never. Actually watched it you've.
- 1:20:27Never actually which one is. It as good looking.
- 1:20:29As she is, she's very. Good looking, she's so pretty.
- 1:20:34I think I might have seen that episode of 2 somewhere.
- 1:20:36It did. Have you not seen Bro I?
- 1:20:40Only watched dark stuff. It's not.
- 1:20:43Terrible. It's exactly if it's not 50
- 1:20:45BPM's off of whatever the flow is, he's not watching.
- 1:20:48It I just googled it and one of the first links is a Reddit
- 1:20:52saying. Anyone else not a fan of New
- 1:20:54Girl? This whole episode has been anti
- 1:20:59me. Not really but I mean like when
- 1:21:02we talk about attack on Titan y'all were like fuck that thing.
- 1:21:06I've not met somebody who doesn't like attack on Titan or
- 1:21:09doesn't have. I just thought it was boring.
- 1:21:11Thought I didn't say that. Either I just I don't like it,
- 1:21:14just didn't it just. Didn't, yeah.
- 1:21:16It just didn't boring, you know, I don't get mad when I didn't
- 1:21:20get no, I'm just, I'm just. I'm just like.
- 1:21:23I've not met and oh, I think this.
- 1:21:26I am friendly, understanding what this episode is.
- 1:21:28I've met the Reddit people. I've met the Reddit.
- 1:21:33I have never. Had the Reddit.
- 1:21:34Account I feels very like, I feels very, very like
- 1:21:38disrespectful. Like.
- 1:21:42Like like, are we? Like did you just declare war
- 1:21:44mostly? These two, mostly these two.
- 1:21:48Oh, OK. Look at you trying to make peace
- 1:21:50treaties all of a. Sudden, I read.
- 1:21:52I read. A lot of Reddit buddy I.
- 1:21:54Don't read any of that. Does he loves working with me
- 1:21:58too? That's his favorite noise when
- 1:22:04when I'm like, oh, do you love working together?
- 1:22:06And he's like, you see, where the fuck was I going with that?
- 1:22:16Weird background. Yeah.
- 1:22:18Weird resume, weird resume, but to me, like all things are what
- 1:22:23they are. Like it.
- 1:22:24It's because. You went so deep with it that
- 1:22:26like I know you were talking about frequencies, a lot of
- 1:22:31things came to mind, the Flash being one.
- 1:22:35Is that humans are photon filters?
- 1:22:40Yeah, yeah. The other.
- 1:22:42Because I mean like the what is it?
- 1:22:44The like the the origin of quantum physics is the study of
- 1:22:47that. You know, when light is
- 1:22:49perceived, it turns from a wave to a particle and particles like
- 1:22:53I mean this is frequency, this is table as as wavelengths.
- 1:22:56But because we're observing the waves, they have particles and
- 1:22:59so therefore it is a solid matter thing.
- 1:23:03Gas and liquid skies. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:06I mean just just just to make it simpler for people like me.
- 1:23:10Yes, so like. Back when I used to punch holes
- 1:23:13indoors, like was I just? Valid question.
- 1:23:17I see where you're going. OK, keep going.
- 1:23:18Keep going down this line was I. Destroying particles.
- 1:23:22That had babies. Yeah, bro, he was.
- 1:23:26He was going to, he was going to work.
- 1:23:30He was going. To work, to feed his family and
- 1:23:33he had five kids at home and you destroyed that going.
- 1:23:36To work to feed his family, yeah.
- 1:23:38He was a father of five particles.
- 1:23:40A. Truth of the universe and He.
- 1:23:42Had a missus particles. Oh my.
- 1:23:43Fist went fucking through the shit, yeah.
- 1:23:45And poor Mr. Particle said he didn't say he didn't have a say.
- 1:23:51He just said he didn't have a say.
- 1:23:52Oh, Dusty. He.
- 1:23:54Probably didn't say that. He didn't say oh, Dusty, that's
- 1:23:57not what he said. He probably said something like,
- 1:24:00what the fuck? Barely something like that.
- 1:24:05You killed my father, Yeah. That's what the kids were saying
- 1:24:10anyways. OK, sorry you were going with
- 1:24:11this. That was a very that was really
- 1:24:13valid. What?
- 1:24:14The six finger man. The six finger man, is it 6?
- 1:24:18Fingers. I think it's before your time.
- 1:24:21The Princess Bride. The Princess Bride?
- 1:24:26No, the 6th one. He's like, what was it?
- 1:24:31Oh gosh, what was his name? The Princess.
- 1:24:33Bride. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:24:35Character profile role. He's a Princess who preferred
- 1:24:38Dinks. I don't know how to print
- 1:24:40Humperdinks. Humperdink.
- 1:24:42That sounds like a fake name. Because it's a fake story.
- 1:24:46It's. He's.
- 1:24:49He's anyway if you didn't get it, we'll just move on.
- 1:24:52Let's go, OK. OK, let's move on some people.
- 1:24:54Will laugh. At that, some people will laugh
- 1:24:56at that. We'll find the niche.
- 1:24:57Yeah, we'll find the niche. So oh so.
- 1:25:03OK, so back to the photons. And yeah, you asked a really
- 1:25:05good question. My mind went to two different
- 1:25:09directions. I'm trying to figure out which
- 1:25:11one I want to go with because 1 can be fun and and easy and
- 1:25:15maybe a more relatable which is the flash.
- 1:25:18OK. I think like when we talk about
- 1:25:20the speed of light, when we talk about how the Flash is able to
- 1:25:23travel through time, when we talk about the Flash being able
- 1:25:26to vibrate through things, I mean, that's the flash.
- 1:25:30Flash is pretty awesome. Flash is pretty cool.
- 1:25:33Or we can go down. I go down into transcendence.
- 1:25:37You were talking about harmonic things, Angel numbers, harmony,
- 1:25:41it's all. Connected, it's all.
- 1:25:42Connected and then it's not at the same time because we're on a
- 1:25:46floating rock. I mean, but I do, but it's
- 1:25:49connected. I don't think it's not not OK.
- 1:25:51So you don't believe in coincidences?
- 1:25:53The. Floating rock is only here
- 1:25:55because we all notice it. I don't think I believe in Yeah,
- 1:25:59hey, because if we hadn't observed it, if we didn't photon
- 1:26:02filter if we. Didn't, but that's what I'm
- 1:26:05gonna start. So if I didn't photon then how
- 1:26:06did I filter? Well then, how could the how
- 1:26:09could the Earth be here? Because.
- 1:26:11Others are photoning you. Yeah, we are observing you.
- 1:26:15It's the it's the ovaries and the banana that sounded so
- 1:26:22sexual in my head and I had to. OK, sorry.
- 1:26:25I thought that's. Where you're going with that?
- 1:26:26That was. OK, let's go back.
- 1:26:28Really back. Really back.
- 1:26:30No, but it is all connected. But I would like to hear you
- 1:26:32about what you say with the Angel numbers and all of that.
- 1:26:35I'm curious. I'm not that deep into it yet
- 1:26:37that I know a good cohesive way and simple way to describe it.
- 1:26:42But what you were describing in terms of the way that
- 1:26:47wavelengths from sound and how they travel.
- 1:26:52So I used to work at a nonprofit and I have learned that people
- 1:26:57learn differently and I've learned how people are at or
- 1:27:00like I've learned about how people.
- 1:27:01I mean, you were talking about Socratic seminar earlier or just
- 1:27:05no, you weren't Socratic. Yeah, the method.
- 1:27:06That's what you were. Talking about Socratic.
- 1:27:08OK, so I've I've towards schools, I've perturbed more
- 1:27:12multiple schools because I used to work in education nonprofit,
- 1:27:15but one of them was really, really cool.
- 1:27:17I mean, they had the funding for it.
- 1:27:19That's why they were able to do it.
- 1:27:20But it was really cool because they had like 5 teachers in the
- 1:27:23classroom. And so they had the kids kind of
- 1:27:26broken up based on how they learned.
- 1:27:27But they can also rotate. So some students were listeners
- 1:27:32and so they had headphones and that's how they were listening
- 1:27:34to things. Some students though, although
- 1:27:37they were listeners, they did it through music.
- 1:27:39And so there was a teacher in the middle of this this table,
- 1:27:43and they were, it was their song.
- 1:27:45Then some students were more visual and so they were at a
- 1:27:48table where they also were drawing or doing things
- 1:27:51throughout. They were all on the same
- 1:27:52subject. They were all on the same thing
- 1:27:55that they were needing to learn that day.
- 1:27:58But they had, yeah, it was so freaking cool.
- 1:28:01So why that's coming to my mind. I was, you're saying that 'cause
- 1:28:04I'm thinking of just like when things are finally well
- 1:28:08connected. And I also kind of think of
- 1:28:10Angel numbers, which is a little bit like spirituality, but I'm
- 1:28:13not fully there yet. But like as you were describing
- 1:28:15what you were experiencing of how you think that people are
- 1:28:19like, I just what I, what comes to mind.
- 1:28:21I think I'm a visual learner is what I'm learning about myself
- 1:28:24is like when people are saying things, I, I play a story in my
- 1:28:27head and I'm like, Oh, I know what they're saying now because
- 1:28:30I like some people will say cat and we'll think something, but
- 1:28:33in my head I visualize it. Yeah, like I'll visualize this.
- 1:28:36You know what I mean? Like I visualize that and I'm
- 1:28:39like, and I'm like painting it in my head.
- 1:28:41I'm like, oh, I know what you're talking about because I can
- 1:28:44process it better that way. But the Angel number stuff is
- 1:28:49like, I don't know. It's, it's almost like when
- 1:28:51you're finally like at peace because you're also realizing
- 1:28:54how things are connected or not connected and you're just kind
- 1:28:57of watching things kind of go back and forth.
- 1:28:59That's what I was thinking, but I don't have a good way to well.
- 1:29:02I I would I would use the analogy the force the.
- 1:29:06Force. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:29:07I've never watched Starbucks or Starbucks Star Wars.
- 1:29:12That's. Awesome.
- 1:29:15Damn it, I'm not. It's space.
- 1:29:16It's Spaceballs, by the way, but I'm gonna.
- 1:29:18Have to clip that now. But you know how they explain,
- 1:29:22you know, like how they explain the force is that it's like it's
- 1:29:25in all of us, it connects all things, it's in everything.
- 1:29:28And that's not untrue by any means.
- 1:29:30The force is therefore a real thing.
- 1:29:36I think the flash because that's what I can relate to.
- 1:29:39I like the. Flash too, like WBS Flash.
- 1:29:41Dude I watched every episode of that.
- 1:29:43I think I stopped at the, I don't remember what chat season.
- 1:29:46I mean, I haven't gone back. I liked it.
- 1:29:50Like out of all the you finished that, out of all the WB stuff, I
- 1:29:52think that was my favorite. Yeah, they.
- 1:29:54Did a good job with the flesh. Really good job.
- 1:29:55They did. Yeah.
- 1:29:57But I mean, I, I I just stopped it because it was pretty nerdy
- 1:29:59too. That I loved it.
- 1:30:01Might have been why I liked it so much.
- 1:30:03Yeah. But I think, I mean, when I say
- 1:30:04I stopped, I'm talking about season 7.
- 1:30:06I stopped. They have a lot of.
- 1:30:07I don't know. Honestly, I say I've watched
- 1:30:09every episode. I I mean they could have came
- 1:30:11out with more, but I haven't. I just don't watch a lot of
- 1:30:13television anymore, so. Because it's what you're putting
- 1:30:17in your body. What's what I'm allowing to be
- 1:30:19observed? Allowing to photon, Yeah.
- 1:30:24What? Do what do I filter?
- 1:30:26What you photon is what you filter no what I.
- 1:30:28Filter so well I forgot. The same OK so.
- 1:30:31Or photon filters. Everything is a wavelength until
- 1:30:33it's observed and then it magically is turned into a
- 1:30:37photon. And it's not a photon unless a
- 1:30:39human being is looking at the frequency only.
- 1:30:43Homo sapiens can see this. That's a.
- 1:30:45Great question. I've never looked that up.
- 1:30:47OK, but have that, has that ever been a test?
- 1:30:51Like what happens if you put an orangutan?
- 1:30:53I mean, they're really close or like a mouse or or a lizard in
- 1:30:57front of like, isn't that? Crazy that those are the ones
- 1:30:59that they test with well. Mice.
- 1:31:01Mice are supposed to be really close to us and and that's why
- 1:31:04they do a lot of medical testing on it.
- 1:31:06Wait. Mice are what?
- 1:31:07Like very. Similar to us as far as genetics
- 1:31:10or isn't that? Crazy.
- 1:31:12Well, you know what's really crazy is that if you were to
- 1:31:14change our DNA 1%, we'd become a dolphin.
- 1:31:17What? That's why dolphins are so
- 1:31:19smart. Well, I'm just.
- 1:31:20Saying like the difference between 1 human to the next is
- 1:31:22like .000% of differences in like genetics, makeup,
- 1:31:28molecules, but the same thing that made the earth, the thing
- 1:31:30that we're standing on made us, we're made from the exact same
- 1:31:33stuff isn't that? Crazy.
- 1:31:35So I mean we. Are connected.
- 1:31:37It's all connected. So.
- 1:31:40Then. But do you?
- 1:31:41So it goes back to the coincidences.
- 1:31:43OK, What were you going to say? No.
- 1:31:44He had an inner thought that I want I'm curious to hear it and.
- 1:31:47Hopefully he'll say it on the pod because sometimes he
- 1:31:49doesn't. No, because you know, you said
- 1:31:54and. Sometimes the way that he goes
- 1:31:55is. You would have not guessed it.
- 1:32:00You know, we change a little bit.
- 1:32:01We could be dolphins. And like, you seen those videos.
- 1:32:04You seen those videos of those dolphins hopping up and, you
- 1:32:07know, trying to help everybody. They knew that's where you were
- 1:32:08going. Yeah.
- 1:32:09Well, I actually. Predicted you for once, so I
- 1:32:12predicted you for once. Last time we went Hitler, so I
- 1:32:16did not see that. No, we went Nazis.
- 1:32:18I did not see that coming. I was listening to Nazis.
- 1:32:21So you did not see hey? That.
- 1:32:25Was such a good dad joke. Anyway, so.
- 1:32:31That's the one. At the beginning didn't cancel
- 1:32:33this at this part. Like Once Upon a time, like 1000
- 1:32:38years ago, women would say that they were impregnated by
- 1:32:41dolphins. That was not an uncommon story.
- 1:32:43What, y'all have never heard this?
- 1:32:46No. Elaborate.
- 1:32:49I don't. I never dope deep into that.
- 1:32:51I would just say when I heard that, I'm like makes sense and
- 1:32:56just moved on the the. Percent of the women.
- 1:32:58Were these? Yeah.
- 1:33:00Yeah. What?
- 1:33:02Type so I steer away from these these.
- 1:33:06Are the real? Red flags, you guys.
- 1:33:08These are the. Real red flags.
- 1:33:10Everyone's over here like I saw the crack.
- 1:33:13What are the? Real.
- 1:33:14Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:33:16Are you're asking me? Yeah.
- 1:33:18In general, not rhetorical. And yes, in general.
- 1:33:23A green flag for me is like this, like you had to be able to
- 1:33:27go real deep. Into things, if you would.
- 1:33:31Let me bet I would have said neck tattoos.
- 1:33:33Oh yeah. Neck tattoos.
- 1:33:34That's a that's a green flag too.
- 1:33:36No, I'm kidding. Stop.
- 1:33:37Damn it, I looked at the camera. Why'd?
- 1:33:40You do that. We weren't doing that anymore.
- 1:33:43We knew it to be. True, that's true.
- 1:33:46What do you want about? Did you read something?
- 1:33:48Yeah. You googled it so.
- 1:33:52Yes, educate the people stories. Exist in folklore, particularly
- 1:33:57in the Amazon dolphins turning into men to impregnate women.
- 1:34:02But one famous case involves A researcher, Margaret Howe
- 1:34:05Lovett, having a sexual relationship with a dolphin
- 1:34:09during a 1960s NASA project, though she was not impregnated.
- 1:34:14That's those are the. Right flags.
- 1:34:18Like why? Why the red?
- 1:34:20Flags. Why did that happen?
- 1:34:21At NASA, though, like we. Can be weird, but that's a red
- 1:34:24flag. Why did that happen at NASA
- 1:34:26though? Because it's all connected?
- 1:34:27Because it's the universe? Because we know more about our
- 1:34:30space than we do our oceans. And we should be really scared
- 1:34:32of our oceans because we're 80% water.
- 1:34:35And the fact that people are still not more afraid of water.
- 1:34:39Yeah. And the fact that people are not
- 1:34:40more afraid of our water still pisses me off.
- 1:34:42No, not afraid of. The water, the tariff out of the
- 1:34:44water, that's only like we know more about the unit, like the
- 1:34:46space. I don't think people, I don't
- 1:34:48think. People realize that enough.
- 1:34:50I say this in almost every episode at this point, huh.
- 1:34:53Like I'm getting to the point where I'm saying this almost at
- 1:34:56every single episode that we're not.
- 1:34:57Afraid of water or that we should be more We should.
- 1:34:59Be more afraid of water than our than our space.
- 1:35:02Oh. Yes, OK, OK.
- 1:35:03Well, no, I think we are because we we don't know anything about
- 1:35:06the water. But I don't.
- 1:35:07Think people realize that, you know what I mean?
- 1:35:09Like people are just living their life.
- 1:35:11Yeah, don't like give it enough attention.
- 1:35:13Well, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:35:16I mean, because you can look up and see the stars, man, you
- 1:35:20know? And you.
- 1:35:20Can't look down and see the bottom.
- 1:35:23That's scary. That's why I don't know how far.
- 1:35:25Away a star is. It's a long way away.
- 1:35:29That's a. That's a good point.
- 1:35:30We're not high, you guys, you can't see.
- 1:35:32The bottom of the water, Yeah, it's not that far.
- 1:35:35It's like what The deepest? Compared to the trench is like.
- 1:35:3767810 miles or something and we. Can't get to it.
- 1:35:41Yeah, but we can get to wait. Can we get to stars?
- 1:35:43No. OK, not even close.
- 1:35:45OK, I I'm not even convinced we made it to the moon.
- 1:35:48You're not. Convinced we made it to the
- 1:35:49moon. No, not even OK.
- 1:35:50We got into this in the last time on.
- 1:35:52Who you talked to? Apparently we have back
- 1:35:56engineered crafts and have been secretly traversing the stars.
- 1:36:04Really. Sure.
- 1:36:05I mean the stars that are dead, not the living stars, probably
- 1:36:09because the particles, because we're, we're the stars that we
- 1:36:12see are the dead stars. We're not able to see the real
- 1:36:15stars well. That, that comes, that comes
- 1:36:18down to like relativity and that comes.
- 1:36:20Down to the filter the photon. Essentially, yeah.
- 1:36:24I mean, because I mean because frequency can only like, OK,
- 1:36:27where See, when you said Einstein earlier when you were
- 1:36:30talking about this is a lot of his, his, his discoveries when
- 1:36:35you spoke on that he was the master.
- 1:36:37I would say that he truly was the master of the three
- 1:36:39dimensions, the three-dimensional, because
- 1:36:42that's where all of his rules of of relativity, everything exists
- 1:36:45inside. So a star that you're looking at
- 1:36:48now is light, and light can only travel at a certain speed, which
- 1:36:51is, According to him, the Nothing can surpass that speed,
- 1:36:55and it just can't except love. Have you seen Inner Cellar?
- 1:36:58Sorry, keep going. So that's because I, my, my, the
- 1:37:01way I would translate the reason why that is because you leave
- 1:37:04the third dimension. And that's why I think he's
- 1:37:06like, that's all. So.
- 1:37:09But the stars that you're seeing, they're so far away
- 1:37:12that, yes, they have died since. But worse, it took the light,
- 1:37:18you know, 10 million trillion years to get here.
- 1:37:21So that started. The stars we see now no longer
- 1:37:24exist technically, according to that whole theory, Right.
- 1:37:28Like, I mean, we've all, we've all watched fireworks.
- 1:37:31Yeah. It's like.
- 1:37:34Boom. Boom boom.
- 1:37:35But like they don't coordinate right because the sound moves so
- 1:37:38much slower than the light does. So the frequency is literally
- 1:37:42the the time it takes the frequency to get to the observer
- 1:37:46observational tool that you have.
- 1:37:48It's like the Thunder and the lightning.
- 1:37:50Same exact thing. The light frequency moves so
- 1:37:54much quicker. It's a higher frequency so it
- 1:37:57goes more quickly than the sound.
- 1:37:58The sound is very low frequency, the lowest actually.
- 1:38:02You can even get deep into like how this relates to the you
- 1:38:04know, in the Bible, what was the first thing God did?
- 1:38:06What? Did he do?
- 1:38:08I don't know. Genesis, back to my favorite,
- 1:38:10right? Oh, OK.
- 1:38:11I don't know. You can tell I'm not very
- 1:38:12religious. Sorry, so you're Catholic?
- 1:38:15I don't know how that's it. I don't think it gets more
- 1:38:17religious than that, does it? Does it?
- 1:38:19Oh. It's 'cause it's 'cause we
- 1:38:21didn't go that far into, Oh yeah, it's 'cause we were at
- 1:38:23break. So I was saying that like
- 1:38:27Mexican, Catholic, not everyone. I don't want to generalize
- 1:38:31anybody in it. And nothing I'm saying I want to
- 1:38:33generalize. But I will say that, and maybe
- 1:38:37even Latinos to some degree, again, not making
- 1:38:39generalizations, but where we were all native before we were
- 1:38:48conquered by the Spaniards, that's where the term Hispanic
- 1:38:52comes from, which is you're having some type of relation to
- 1:38:56them. But the real term that like when
- 1:38:58you talked about Latinos is Latinos.
- 1:39:01You don't really say Hispanic. And unless you're talking to
- 1:39:04someone who's from Spain, they're not technically Latinos.
- 1:39:09Here's a question. Oh, go ahead.
- 1:39:12Why does why is Latin a language that came from Europe I.
- 1:39:17Don't know but then. Everybody over hears Latino,
- 1:39:19Yeah. I don't know where the term
- 1:39:21Latino comes from to be honest. Latin America I think I don't
- 1:39:25know. Damn I'm going to be so dumb on
- 1:39:27this episode. I to be honest, I have 0 idea,
- 1:39:31but I just know that Hispanic is a, is a word that was made-up by
- 1:39:35the census in the 1980s because they used to describe yeah, it
- 1:39:40didn't exist. It was by the United States.
- 1:39:42Oh yeah. They're great at all that.
- 1:39:44Yeah, they're. Great at that stereotyping and
- 1:39:47all that stuff with people anyways.
- 1:39:49Because people not. To like each other, yeah.
- 1:39:51Because before people had to either be white or Mexican.
- 1:39:55That's how they used to describe a lot of people now.
- 1:39:58You're white. All Hispanic people are white
- 1:40:01according to the US government because I, I mean, I do
- 1:40:04mortgages and part of the end of the mortgage as we go through
- 1:40:08demographics. Yes.
- 1:40:09So I have to ask you, I'm required to ask you like, are
- 1:40:12you, you know, black native, you know, so on and so forth.
- 1:40:17And then I love it because it's like you can tell like the, you
- 1:40:22know, Latinos and Mexicans all that with whether it's if
- 1:40:26they've been in this situation before, because it's either
- 1:40:29they're like when you go through the list, Mexican, Hispanic,
- 1:40:32Latino, none of that's on that list.
- 1:40:34And then and they're looking at me, they're like Mexican.
- 1:40:38I'm like, OK, so that's the next question.
- 1:40:40So first you're white, then it's like, are you Hispanic or not
- 1:40:43Hispanic? That's exactly.
- 1:40:45And and like, so anyways, this is all because of the US census.
- 1:40:48This is the reason you get asked these questions that or that you
- 1:40:51have to do these. But growing up, that was really
- 1:40:52confusing growing up because it was it it, it was your identity
- 1:40:56and it was, and you didn't know, like I was like, well, why am I
- 1:40:59white? And I remember always asking my
- 1:41:00dad, like, dad, I know we're Mexican because we're from
- 1:41:04Mexico. Yeah, but what?
- 1:41:06Are we like but like I feel like here in the US you have to ask
- 1:41:10yourself what are you because of how much it's pressured on to
- 1:41:13you in terms of like a race I. I agree entirely.
- 1:41:17You know, like it's way overdone.
- 1:41:18Yeah. And so like you're constantly as
- 1:41:20a kid growing up here, we. Are like we're a country, we are
- 1:41:23a country of of. Immigrants.
- 1:41:27I mean like my my grandpa used to always tell me like again
- 1:41:29like one of his two. Another one of his quotes was
- 1:41:32the best dog is a month because you get the best from everybody.
- 1:41:34All of the different breeds. It's like all of my favorite
- 1:41:37dogs are always months and that's what Americans are like.
- 1:41:39We're literally like, I mean, I'm white, but you know, like
- 1:41:42how many different types of white am I?
- 1:41:44You know, the same thing. I'm sure when Mexican and it's
- 1:41:49all it so. So going into that a bit more,
- 1:41:51right, because Mexico was conquered too at some point.
- 1:41:55And so in the 1500's, the term is diesel is, is the term that
- 1:42:00was come up with because of I think the Spaniards at this
- 1:42:05time, or I'm not sure if it's the French, but the term mestiso
- 1:42:09is come up. And that's what we are like our
- 1:42:11race Mestiso, mestiso, Mestiso, which means that you are part
- 1:42:18Spaniard, but you're also part native because in Mexico it was
- 1:42:23native. Most Latin countries, just like
- 1:42:25the US, it was all native. And So what I was even trying to
- 1:42:30say with all of that with Catholicism is that, and what I
- 1:42:33love about Mexico, being a Mexican Catholic, is that a lot
- 1:42:39of our beliefs, like the other was Muertos, the stuff about
- 1:42:43Ravijan, how our rituals, I don't want to say the word
- 1:42:48rituals because I don't want anyone, but they're not.
- 1:42:50Catholic. They're not Catholic beliefs,
- 1:42:52they are beliefs from our ancestral background, which is
- 1:42:57awesome. And that's what I love.
- 1:42:58And that's why I think like I'm tapping more into more of my
- 1:43:01spirituality than I am. But it's also, it's also when
- 1:43:03you finally are able to get, because Mexico is also every
- 1:43:06country, if they're not racist or at least some type of
- 1:43:10colorism is an issue. Like it's like you don't want to
- 1:43:13be darker, you want to be lighter.
- 1:43:14Just about every country deals with that time.
- 1:43:16And we're talking Korea who has lightning creams.
- 1:43:21And so that's only if you can get to the point where you
- 1:43:24accept this, your ancestral background and in the beauty
- 1:43:29that there is in that because there is so much connection to
- 1:43:31the actual nature and the roots of everything where we originate
- 1:43:36from and then going back to the universe.
- 1:43:39Yeah. And how it's all connected.
- 1:43:42Because like the unfortunate thing about having lost so many
- 1:43:46people in my life now and the fortunate thing about it is that
- 1:43:51I'm learning a lot of all of our beliefs during their passing and
- 1:43:57how we need to honor them as they're about to pass.
- 1:44:00And all the different little things that we have to do that I
- 1:44:04wouldn't we would never do here. We would never do here as an
- 1:44:07Americans would not would not do here, maybe.
- 1:44:10And because of that connection to.
- 1:44:15Being American, though, means that you, it's all welcomed.
- 1:44:18It's all that's what I think is again, like what?
- 1:44:21What do you think is the why? There's so much pressure put on
- 1:44:25us here in the US because technically I was taught from a
- 1:44:29Mexican friend that when I said I'm American and he's like, I
- 1:44:34am, too. He's like, I'm from Central
- 1:44:36America or, you know, but yeah. He's like I'm.
- 1:44:38American though, like I've never forgot that.
- 1:44:40That was something that was really, I'm like eye opening to
- 1:44:42me was So when I've ever since then, I've defined myself as a
- 1:44:47member of the United States, not American.
- 1:44:51I mean, I am American as well. Yeah.
- 1:44:52But I don't isolate that to like, if, like when I call you
- 1:44:56American or something like that, I'd be like, well, everybody
- 1:44:59like half the world's American, technically.
- 1:45:02Like, literally yeah. Yeah, so when?
- 1:45:04Everybody's like I'm American, right?
- 1:45:06You know, like the No, I mean that yeah, America right now
- 1:45:09that they're all America. They're all America, like
- 1:45:12Southern America, South America, I.
- 1:45:14Don't know what, I don't know what our deal is with why we
- 1:45:17put. So much pressure on ourselves as
- 1:45:18far or on each other's and all that.
- 1:45:20Yeah. Like why is identity everything?
- 1:45:24I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
- 1:45:25I don't. Know 'cause like for me, yes,
- 1:45:28the, the identity thing was a really big thing.
- 1:45:30I, I think in terms of like am I Mexican, am I American, am I
- 1:45:33Mexican American? I'm from Mexico.
- 1:45:35I claim Mexico before I claim the US or I'm traveling in them.
- 1:45:40And I've learned to not say America and say United States or
- 1:45:44the States because it is different.
- 1:45:48Perspective is everything. I think it just comes down to
- 1:45:51perspective too. Like either, you know, like
- 1:45:53whether or not you have the perspective to see that or not
- 1:45:56and that that's what it comes down to.
- 1:45:58I think. Why do we put so much pressure
- 1:46:02on identity? I don't know.
- 1:46:03I think we're all trying to some degree at whatever level and
- 1:46:07state that you are in, in your own journey, you want to be able
- 1:46:10to find your purpose. And to some degree, purpose
- 1:46:14starts with figuring out who you are, and who you are starts with
- 1:46:17identity to. To some degree, I would.
- 1:46:20Disagree with that last statement.
- 1:46:21Everything else I will wholeheartedly agree with.
- 1:46:23Well, maybe. To some degree, because, because
- 1:46:25we. Do want to find a purpose like
- 1:46:26that? I feel like that's what like, I
- 1:46:29mean, not everybody is that way, but yeah, not.
- 1:46:30Every so many. Of us like or they.
- 1:46:32Or it is a purpose to some? Degree I think.
- 1:46:35Everybody thinks that though, at some point I would find it very.
- 1:46:39Hard to imagine like that. Nobody.
- 1:46:41Does no. That that you don't think that's
- 1:46:43somewhere along the way and that's what.
- 1:46:45I'm saying so like to whatever degree of like what your purpose
- 1:46:48is, like people will either abandoned this belief, this
- 1:46:52deeper belief and that's when they're just like whatever Willy
- 1:46:55nilly I'm going to do, I'm going to go through the motions.
- 1:46:57I'm going to, it's either fuck or be fucked to some degree, you
- 1:47:01know what I mean? Like when some people like just
- 1:47:03abandoned this either. Be the banana or the yeah be.
- 1:47:06The banana or the ovary? Yeah, no 'cause that's not
- 1:47:13feminine or masculine anyway. Whatever.
- 1:47:15OK, deeper, but that's a whole ever.
- 1:47:18That's a whole different episode.
- 1:47:20Damn. Yeah, we've had like 12 episodes
- 1:47:22so far we've had. Like 12 episodes so far.
- 1:47:27Where? Where are you going to go?
- 1:47:31OK, so don't worry about it. OK.
- 1:47:34The identity, yeah, the identity thing, like when I was saying
- 1:47:38earlier, maybe at some point because you have this pressure
- 1:47:42as an immigrant to show that you belong here.
- 1:47:47I can imagine and or someone who's first or second Gen. even,
- 1:47:52like, I mean, that starts to get pushed down.
- 1:47:54You, you have this pressure to show that I do belong and that I
- 1:48:01can't. I should have these things just
- 1:48:04as much as you. And so you have to perform
- 1:48:07higher. And so then use eventually
- 1:48:09that's your identity, the performance, the the production
- 1:48:16of whatever. And again, I used to equate my
- 1:48:18value to my, my what I would my output.
- 1:48:23And so then the identity part, what I'm saying is now I've kind
- 1:48:26of gone down to more values and saying like that's how I would
- 1:48:29describe myself, character based, value based, whatever.
- 1:48:33And that is still kind of an identity.
- 1:48:37Like if you kind of where to think of yourself as a little
- 1:48:39kid and you had a project and somebody was and your teacher
- 1:48:43was like, OK, describe yourself. Or you were doing an ice breaker
- 1:48:46question at a whatever job and was like describe yourself.
- 1:48:50And how would you describe yourself?
- 1:48:53Weird. Me or you?
- 1:48:55Hold. I'm sorry.
- 1:48:56Yeah, I know. I.
- 1:48:57Don't know, I'm just kidding. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:49:00But you were saying you disagree with the identity part.
- 1:49:03Well, like that what, what as far as the the path you were
- 1:49:06going through, like everybody asks themselves, you know, why
- 1:49:09am I here? And then like you, you create
- 1:49:11and like you have identity to to helps you support that.
- 1:49:15But I mean, yes, that word. And I guess it depends on how
- 1:49:19you use that word, because if I were to identify myself as
- 1:49:22something I would identify as Travis went, Oh.
- 1:49:27Just your name, well. That is what I that is who I am,
- 1:49:30yeah. Yeah, like I.
- 1:49:31Don't identify as anything else outside of that, Yeah.
- 1:49:35A man, you wouldn't identify yourself as a male.
- 1:49:38Maybe it's the US Census. Well, I mean.
- 1:49:41Yeah, right. You know what I mean, Right.
- 1:49:42It's like. Well, I have to fucking answer
- 1:49:44these fucking questions. You actually.
- 1:49:46Answer those like dude, like you.
- 1:49:47Don't throw that away when you get it, no.
- 1:49:49Because because that's how they appoint, they appoint people to
- 1:49:52the House of Representatives in the Senate.
- 1:49:54So. It's it's.
- 1:49:55Important. It's what I've heard, but yeah,
- 1:49:59we. Can't trust our government.
- 1:50:01Is that where you're getting at? Oh gosh, let's.
- 1:50:02Yeah, let's start on that topic. I mean, no, honestly, I'm kind
- 1:50:07of dancing around that is because I do believe that a lot
- 1:50:09of the reason why identity is pushed away it is today is
- 1:50:12because that's how you control people.
- 1:50:14Because if you identify as something and that group of
- 1:50:18something changes how they approach or do something, then
- 1:50:20you as someone who identifies as it is required to change your
- 1:50:24thought as well to be part of that identity.
- 1:50:28So if you want to control somebody, politics is a perfect
- 1:50:30example why it's called identity politics.
- 1:50:34For a. Reason.
- 1:50:35Because if you can get somebody who identifies as a Democrat and
- 1:50:38another person who identifies as a Republican, I bet you they're
- 1:50:42more similar than a human and a dolphin, which is 1%.
- 1:50:48Remember of why you change 1% of our, our DNA and you become a
- 1:50:52dolphin. But again, I would, I would just
- 1:50:55my mind says that it like someone who identifies as this
- 1:50:57and someone who identifies as that are going to be more than
- 1:51:0099% aligned. Yet we're going to allow less
- 1:51:04than 1% separate us so greatly to where we are today as a, as a
- 1:51:10society, to where people are just, I mean, what has gone on
- 1:51:15in like the last 10 years that's being promoted again, Remember
- 1:51:18when you're watching television, you're allowing those, that
- 1:51:21image to be part of, you're allowing that into your thought
- 1:51:24process. You're allowing.
- 1:51:25Phantoms. No.
- 1:51:26You're fan. Photons.
- 1:51:28Photons. Photons.
- 1:51:29Photons, yes. Well, not even that part of it,
- 1:51:32just the fact that you're, like I said, you like, like your,
- 1:51:35your thought. You don't control what thoughts
- 1:51:37come to you. You control.
- 1:51:39Trauma. But you control you control what
- 1:51:42you, what you allow into what you're, you're you're the
- 1:51:45observable universe that you that you can have, which is you
- 1:51:48know through your site, you know your 5 or 6 senses, depending
- 1:51:53you will like what you allow in is what's the precursor for what
- 1:51:57your thoughts are. So it when you're watching the
- 1:51:59television, it all you see, all you see is how much Democrats,
- 1:52:02this Republic, it's everywhere. And that's not on accident.
- 1:52:07Like that is all designed. And so it's designed for
- 1:52:10control, absolute control, the easiest way to control a group
- 1:52:13of people. Or how do you conquer someone
- 1:52:16like like what's the oldest rule of, I should say oldest little
- 1:52:20over the top, but divide and conquer.
- 1:52:22I saw where you're going with that.
- 1:52:23So you want you want somebody to be weak, you divide them up if
- 1:52:27and when people have numbers. And we the people of the United
- 1:52:30States of America are the power. Oh.
- 1:52:34Yeah. And if you don't want us to have
- 1:52:36the power and you want to make decisions for us, you have to
- 1:52:38separate us. Yes, 100%.
- 1:52:40And that's. Why and so when?
- 1:52:42I feel like all this identity is being pushed so hard.
- 1:52:45It's the easiest way to easiest way to separate people.
- 1:52:48Easiest way is that now they identify as this.
- 1:52:51So they have they've cosigned. So now they have to behave like
- 1:52:54that according to if they want to be participant in that
- 1:52:57identity. Nobody want no per I don't, I
- 1:53:01don't see people thinking it's OK to destroy a Tesla because of
- 1:53:05whatever, whatever that was all about.
- 1:53:07I don't even know. I'm really that like not
- 1:53:09connected. I just, you know, there's, it
- 1:53:11was a lot of stuff. And I'm sure you guys could name
- 1:53:13another dozen things that I'm probably oblivious to because I
- 1:53:17tried really hard not to allow that into my, my reality, my
- 1:53:22universe. But that's where I would go with
- 1:53:26it. But.
- 1:53:27And I, I like that you went from figuring out why we're here to
- 1:53:33like, like what we identify as. It was.
- 1:53:36I thought that was an interesting like step that you
- 1:53:38took because I, that makes sense why you're doing that.
- 1:53:42It's also a great way to weaponize people.
- 1:53:44Yeah. Against each other.
- 1:53:45It's, it's like it goes back to, is it better to know or to
- 1:53:49understand? You know, I think that's what it
- 1:53:52goes back to. Because when it's internalized,
- 1:53:53though for you, I think it's both, you know what I mean?
- 1:53:57Because you're not gonna weaponize it.
- 1:53:59Yeah. You're not gonna weaponize it
- 1:54:00for yourself. You know, it's when you're like
- 1:54:04forcing someone, forcing your beliefs onto somebody else.
- 1:54:10But your identity you don't have to.
- 1:54:12Yeah. But what what I'm saying is like
- 1:54:16to know and to understand, like I think that's helpful for you
- 1:54:18as an individual because you're not gonna weaponize that for
- 1:54:21you, 'cause you have self-interest and you have,
- 1:54:25yeah. I mean, you're not trying to
- 1:54:26self sabotage yourself. Typically.
- 1:54:30Typically. Yeah, like, I mean
- 1:54:32subconsciously it's amazing. But then we go into
- 1:54:35neuroscience. Yeah.
- 1:54:36Yeah, it's really amazing how that, you know, like the self
- 1:54:40sabotage is real. Yeah.
- 1:54:42I mean, like, OK, perfect example.
- 1:54:43What I love is one of the analogies about the glass
- 1:54:45ceiling, you know where that term came from.
- 1:54:48So from what I understand is fleece.
- 1:54:52Fleece, if you put like a if you put clear plat, like you put
- 1:54:56fleece in a in a bottle and you put a lid on it, if a clear
- 1:54:58plastic lid, they will jump and hit that plastic and they will
- 1:55:03realize that there's now there's a ceiling there.
- 1:55:06You remove the plastic, they'll never jump out.
- 1:55:09They there's they they created their own limitation of where
- 1:55:13they think, how high they can go and like the next generations of
- 1:55:17fleas, will not jump. Yeah, 'cause it is genetic.
- 1:55:21Well, it's. It's it's taught.
- 1:55:23Yeah. It's like we don't, we don't
- 1:55:24jump higher than that, but it. Is genetic too, because that's
- 1:55:27how generational trauma happens for sure.
- 1:55:30Well, I mean 'cause when? We go down neuroscience stuff
- 1:55:32like why is it that you have so much anxiety?
- 1:55:35Well, I. Mean, so then we we can really
- 1:55:37get into that would be like like nurture versus nature, you know,
- 1:55:41like is how much, how much of who we are is the environment
- 1:55:43that we were born in versus versus the genes?
- 1:55:46And is it actually that the genetics which we can dive into
- 1:55:49like epigenetics which is? I tap out there, I don't know.
- 1:55:52So I don't know what that is. So epigenetics is like I.
- 1:55:55I forget the specifics and I'm very layman at it at best, but a
- 1:56:00large a large percentage and I'd be curious to see how much like
- 1:56:05even like 80% or greater of our genes are not actually fixed.
- 1:56:10They can change at any time and they change based upon our
- 1:56:14environment. So our environments actually
- 1:56:17will affect our DNA. Yes, I.
- 1:56:19Can see. Yeah, I mean.
- 1:56:21It makes sense, right? Because if you take OK, like
- 1:56:23like who's ever seen the movie trade in places, Eddie Murphy
- 1:56:26movie from like the 80s, OK, great, great.
- 1:56:29Perfect example. But Long story short, take Eddie
- 1:56:33Murphy. He's a homeless man on the curb.
- 1:56:35Pretend like he has no legs, trying to get some, you know,
- 1:56:37begging for money. You have Dan Aykroyd, who is the
- 1:56:41white successful, you know, 80s suit wearing business guy,
- 1:56:44right? Well, his boss, his two bosses,
- 1:56:47they make a, they make a wager that they could take Eddie
- 1:56:49Murphy from the street and put him in Dan Aykroyd's life and he
- 1:56:53will perform just as well, if not better than Dan Aykroyd
- 1:56:56does. And if we take, if we take
- 1:56:59switch Dan Aykroyd's environment and put him in the same
- 1:57:01situation that Eddie Murphy's in, he'll be as bad, if not
- 1:57:04worse. It's a good movie.
- 1:57:08It's not that deep. It's really not that it's an
- 1:57:11Eddie movie. It's an Eddie, it sounds like.
- 1:57:12A It sounds like a remake of Good Fortune right now that I've
- 1:57:15seen recently. What's that?
- 1:57:17Good Fortune is the one with how old?
- 1:57:19Is that movie? It's very.
- 1:57:20Recent it just came out. I just saw it in the movie
- 1:57:22theater. Of course is the remake.
- 1:57:23Is what you're. Saying, yeah, yeah, I'm saying
- 1:57:25that that's remake of that because it's a what's his.
- 1:57:28Name. One of them is an Angel and it
- 1:57:33Keanu Reeves Keanu. Reeves, I want to see that
- 1:57:35anything. Keanu, I want to check these.
- 1:57:36I'm sorry. Is the other actor and Seth
- 1:57:41Rogen Seth? Rogen.
- 1:57:42Yeah, Seth Rogen is a successful actor.
- 1:57:45The other guy that you just mentioned is the one.
- 1:57:46Yeah, yeah, He's the poor person.
- 1:57:49And then if they were to switch lives, I.
- 1:57:51Remember that. OK, I've seen the preview for
- 1:57:52that. Yeah, right.
- 1:57:53He wishes to be. Yeah.
- 1:57:55Yeah. And then he doesn't want to give
- 1:57:56it up or something like that. I just.
- 1:57:57Well, one. Of them is like I don't want to
- 1:57:59change. This is amazing.
- 1:58:00And then he was like, you were supposed to want to change.
- 1:58:02And he was like, I don't want to change.
- 1:58:04He's trying to teach him a lesson.
- 1:58:05It backfired. Backfired and Keanu Reeves is
- 1:58:08the Angel and everyone. 'S like yeah and.
- 1:58:10Everyone's like whoa, he's so hot.
- 1:58:14It really tap into that. He's a beautiful.
- 1:58:19Human being, he's a. Beautiful human being.
- 1:58:21Yeah, Keanu Reeves is really beautiful, at least.
- 1:58:23What we've seen, I don't know personally, but.
- 1:58:26It's like Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds.
- 1:58:29Yeah, he's a beautiful human being.
- 1:58:31I think he's. So funny he's.
- 1:58:32Hilarious, he's so. Funny, like, and that's why I
- 1:58:35think he's beautiful, because he's so funny.
- 1:58:37Absolutely. That is, that is.
- 1:58:38Beauty. Yeah, I would love to think
- 1:58:40that. Which Chris is a A star Lord
- 1:58:46Pratt. OK, OK.
- 1:58:47Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude.
- 1:58:48Hilarious. I love that dude.
- 1:58:50Yeah. I, I, I hope that's.
- 1:58:53The like the captain of Guardians of the Galaxy.
- 1:58:56Yes, yes, yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:58:58Yes. Oh, he is good.
- 1:58:59Aren't they related? No, they're not that I'm
- 1:59:01thinking of, of what's all I know.
- 1:59:03Is it seems like every actor's either Orion or a Chris these
- 1:59:05days. I don't know what.
- 1:59:08Like, there's a lot of them there.
- 1:59:09It's 'cause no, he, Chris and somebody else are related.
- 1:59:13His his his brother is the one who is dating Miley Cyrus.
- 1:59:17I think he's Miley Cyrus's boyfriend.
- 1:59:20You know, it's almost like when people Identity.
- 1:59:22Yeah, it's almost like when people.
- 1:59:23Yeah, it was Miley Cyrus's boyfriend.
- 1:59:25Or was was was not anymore? Or it's almost like A$AP Rocky.
- 1:59:29I love A$AP Rocky, but people will be like, Oh yeah, Rihanna's
- 1:59:32husband. And it's like, I didn't know.
- 1:59:34That for real? You were married.
- 1:59:35Nice. Yeah.
- 1:59:36Yeah, you know they got. Two good jobs.
- 1:59:37They got 2. Kids, they go ASAP.
- 1:59:39Yeah, I know. For real.
- 1:59:40For real. I mean I love ASAP I feel.
- 1:59:42Like I feel. Like people sleep on him, yeah.
- 1:59:45Honestly for like a lot of the, you know, non millennial and
- 1:59:49such that like like a lot of them, I'm like, I'm having a
- 1:59:52hard time Co signing for some of these dudes man.
- 1:59:54Like they don't really do it for me.
- 1:59:56ASAP. ASAP.
- 1:59:57Grab me. Yeah, for sure.
- 1:59:58For sure. Yeah.
- 2:00:01Damn. I mean, we could have gone so
- 2:00:03many different directions, but I'm getting word of some of the
- 2:00:06timing stuff. So dusty.
- 2:00:08Where do you want to head next? I have an activity or I have
- 2:00:12lightning round. You decide.
- 2:00:14What's the activity? OK.
- 2:00:16Because it's a surprise. To just choose OK.
- 2:00:19It's a surprise. The activity is like it's
- 2:00:21history repeating itself, rhyming itself or something new.
- 2:00:24And so we're going to ask Travis here some of the issues or
- 2:00:29things that are happening. And I want to know whether you
- 2:00:31think things are repeating itself, rhyming as in like
- 2:00:34they're not identical, but it reminds me of this similar
- 2:00:37energy from this time, or it's completely something new.
- 2:00:41That's the activity. And then lightning round.
- 2:00:43Well, you know, lightning round. I dig that question, I said.
- 2:00:46I like that question, OK. You want to do the activity I do
- 2:00:49OK, let's do the activity. We can do both.
- 2:00:51I don't know. OK, let's do both.
- 2:00:52OK OK, this is an activity and I used AI to help me with this.
- 2:00:56So sorry used. What AI to?
- 2:00:58Help me with this. Sure.
- 2:01:01Make sure you source what you get from AI.
- 2:01:03But yeah, it's still kind of yeah.
- 2:01:05I mean, yeah, I mean, these are issues that everybody used
- 2:01:08called. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:01:09OK. So, yeah, I want to because
- 2:01:11we've been talking about history, we've been talking
- 2:01:13about frequencies, we've been talking about photons, we've
- 2:01:14been talking about ovaries, bananas and dolphins.
- 2:01:18And so again it's. A great.
- 2:01:21Conversation. Yes.
- 2:01:23That's the description ovaries. Bananas and dolphins, yes.
- 2:01:29That's the title. OK, so you already understood
- 2:01:33history repeating, History rhyming or something new.
- 2:01:36The housing pricing crisis and unaffordable rent.
- 2:01:41Rent is outpacing income almost everywhere.
- 2:01:45Families can't afford homes. Institutional investors are
- 2:01:48buying entire neighborhoods. Is that history repeating
- 2:01:51itself? Is it rhyming or is it something
- 2:01:54new? That is a really good question.
- 2:01:58I. Know, I know, I know.
- 2:02:00So I. Think it's a lot of.
- 2:02:02All of that. I was really excited last night
- 2:02:03working on this I think. It's a lot of all.
- 2:02:05I think it's it's, it's not one, it's not a because history is
- 2:02:11repeating itself and it always has.
- 2:02:12It just looks like we just have to look.
- 2:02:14We it depends on how far back you go.
- 2:02:16I don't, I don't have an actual example of this exact situation
- 2:02:21because there is kind of a rhyme.
- 2:02:23The rhyme would be all right, dude, why did you have to go
- 2:02:28there? So the housing crisis is really
- 2:02:31like what I chopped this to is it's a lot deeper than housing.
- 2:02:35It's not. Housing isn't the crisis, the
- 2:02:36dollar is the crisis and all the like.
- 2:02:39Basically everything that we've been experiencing, like all of
- 2:02:42the problems that we're dealing with right now is a by product
- 2:02:45of Richard Nixon removing the dollar from the gold standard,
- 2:02:50which I believe was 1971 was the one that took place.
- 2:02:52Richard Nathan is the one that did the war on drugs to No no.
- 2:02:56Richard Nixon was, I'm not a crook.
- 2:02:58He was the 1st president ever impeached.
- 2:03:00War on drugs was the that Reagan.
- 2:03:04Yes. Reagan, Yeah.
- 2:03:06Yeah, yeah, yeah, like. Yeah, like Republicans like.
- 2:03:10That's when it switches. That's when it switches, right?
- 2:03:13When Because Democrats were used to be Republicans and
- 2:03:16Republicans, you know. What I mean, no, that's a long
- 2:03:18time ago, that's even. Longer, OK, OK.
- 2:03:20But see, but they always do this again, that's all identity and
- 2:03:23like, let's, that's all. That's all like.
- 2:03:26Housing crising dollar. Let's go back.
- 2:03:28OK, so. To me, it's like the issue is in
- 2:03:31a housing crisis. It's it's a dollar crisis.
- 2:03:34So I mean, if you look at the like, from like every statistic
- 2:03:37that took place from that moment, the difference in
- 2:03:40disparity between the people who have money and the people who do
- 2:03:42not have money has just gone exponentially, like has
- 2:03:45increased. Not only that, but the value of
- 2:03:47what an actual dollar can do. People like, nothing's changing
- 2:03:51the dollars what's changing? And it's relative because
- 2:03:53that's, that's our measuring stick.
- 2:03:55And since it's like, since the rulers actually changing, we
- 2:03:58can't see that the like what we're measuring is changing.
- 2:04:02So it's imagine having a yardstick that at one point was
- 2:04:053 inches. Now it's 3 feet and we're still
- 2:04:09using the same yardstick and, and, and thinking that there's
- 2:04:11no relativity, that it is the same thing.
- 2:04:14So the housing crisis is a dollar problem and the dollar is
- 2:04:19worth like 3% of what it was worth even less, I believe in
- 2:04:231971. Like what $1.00 would do in 1971
- 2:04:27would be similar to what I mean, ask Google.
- 2:04:33Like the relationship between like the value of a dollar in
- 2:04:361971 versus now. What would $1.00 equal today?
- 2:04:41And it's, and it's been extremely bad in the last 10
- 2:04:43years ever since I mean COVID and like all the, and because
- 2:04:46it's and it's and because this is what you got to realize is
- 2:04:48that scarcity absolutely. But it's actually, it's almost
- 2:04:54the opposite because when you have a dollar, when you have a
- 2:04:58dollar, I mean, you're, you're right on track.
- 2:05:00But when you have a dollar that doesn't have anything that it's
- 2:05:03tied to and you can make as much of it as you want, like so it's
- 2:05:078. To 1/8.
- 2:05:08Dollars to $1.00. I don't believe that dude that
- 2:05:11sounds I've managed. It's way worse than that.
- 2:05:13So it's 700%. 700% so no, it's so it's 700 to one or am I
- 2:05:20wrong? No, that would be $7.00 to one,
- 2:05:21right? All right.
- 2:05:23So, but so it's like, so the dollar is worth 700% less than
- 2:05:28it was, you know, 50 years ago. And that's what we've seen in
- 2:05:32the last decade is that the rent's not going up.
- 2:05:34Houses aren't going up in value. The dollar is going down in
- 2:05:37value. But a house is an asset.
- 2:05:39There's a reason why it's called real.
- 2:05:42Like it's this really big deal that people are not respecting.
- 2:05:44And one of the reasons I love what I like, what I'm fascinated
- 2:05:46by what I do is because I work in real estate.
- 2:05:51That word is important. Very, very, very important, not
- 2:05:54only but legally, but in all, in all actuality, that this is a
- 2:05:58real thing. It's an asset.
- 2:06:00It's real. It does not change in value, but
- 2:06:02what it's measured up against the yardstick that keeps growing
- 2:06:05is changing. Now it does appreciate.
- 2:06:08Don't get me wrong. There is appreciation in housing
- 2:06:10and it's about supply and demand.
- 2:06:12And there is a huge there. There was, there is a huge
- 2:06:14shortage in housing and that was from like the housing crisis or
- 2:06:18the, the financial crisis of 2010 was statistically every
- 2:06:22decade from like 1960 to 2010, like we made like 6,000,000
- 2:06:27homes like clockwork. Then from 2010 to 2020, we only
- 2:06:31made like 600,000. Yeah, like we made like less
- 2:06:34than 10% of what we normally did in that decade now.
- 2:06:37But our population grew, everything grew.
- 2:06:42And you had a combination of because of like, like the
- 2:06:47student debt crisis and a number of variable of other things that
- 2:06:52the, the, the average first time homebuyer was growing in age.
- 2:06:55They weren't moving out. They were staying at home with
- 2:06:57mom and dad until like, I think right now the average age for a
- 2:07:00first time homebuyer is 31 years old or 33 years old.
- 2:07:04So, so like now you have this flood of people who finally are
- 2:07:08of age because people like the generation, I don't know what's
- 2:07:12after millennials, Gen. Z.
- 2:07:15So like Gen. Z had to deal with Gen.
- 2:07:18Alpha? And then Gen.
- 2:07:19Z, No, Gen. Z And then Gen.
- 2:07:20Alpha. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:07:20Cuz you go from AZ back to a so the the they were delayed
- 2:07:28because like they weren't like not only in home ownership of
- 2:07:31marriage, everything because of debt.
- 2:07:33They like no generation has ever come out with as much debt as
- 2:07:36Gen. Z and probably millennials too.
- 2:07:38I don't know exactly, but probably I can see that, Yeah.
- 2:07:40I mean, because with I feel like I'm talking about.
- 2:07:43College crisis and all of that. Well, I feel.
- 2:07:44Like one of the greatest, One of the greatest.
- 2:07:47Like refills. Yeah, there you go.
- 2:07:53Like like one of the greatest forms of predatory lending, a
- 2:07:57student debt. Yeah, 100%.
- 2:08:00Yeah. We're talking about an 18 year
- 2:08:01old and you're not actually educating them and especially
- 2:08:04when this don't worry about. Paying it back, yeah.
- 2:08:06And the. Student like Oh my God and how
- 2:08:09it's. And they don't know anything.
- 2:08:10How much intuition is or tuition has changed?
- 2:08:13That's a funny interesting. Where do you have tuition and
- 2:08:15intuition anyway? Yeah.
- 2:08:18Yes, OK. We're still on this activity, so
- 2:08:21next next week, so. Oh, so there's more questions.
- 2:08:23So but yes, so the problem is, so I guess in this form, I would
- 2:08:26say it's it's a rhyme. But if you want to go back even
- 2:08:29further to like the last like like the last currency, world
- 2:08:34currency that fell, then I bet you it's repeating itself.
- 2:08:37But we'd probably have to go back to some kind of like, Roman
- 2:08:39coin or something. That's how far like.
- 2:08:41But I would imagine. But you, I guarantee you can
- 2:08:45find a moment in time that perfectly mirrors what's going
- 2:08:47on right now. Yeah, if you really get down
- 2:08:50with your history. Do you want to ask the next one
- 2:08:52the most? Recent currency that failed this
- 2:08:54Venezuelan dollar? Well.
- 2:08:56I mean as far as a world currency like what the whole
- 2:08:58world used has the like the the the measure they.
- 2:09:01Sent in. Yeah, they call it the US Star
- 2:09:03Wars the reserve. Yeah, the reason well and and at
- 2:09:05this moment is a reserve currency because because of the
- 2:09:09Fed is a reserve and. Isn't it the US dollar that's
- 2:09:13the reserve 1 and that's why we have a lot of we at the United
- 2:09:16States has so much power right now and so much influence over
- 2:09:19the other not. Anymore, but yes, we have since
- 2:09:22since which was the what you call it Accord, which was when
- 2:09:27we removed ourselves from the gold standard.
- 2:09:29We literally we defaulted on almost everything.
- 2:09:31Like we literally still the whole world.
- 2:09:33Fuck you. We're not giving you any gold
- 2:09:34and we're not using it anymore. We're going to use the dollar
- 2:09:38and one of the best moves that we ever did was we made an
- 2:09:41arrangement with which I believe is a Saudi, don't quote me on
- 2:09:44that, but you know, you're Middle Eastern like where they
- 2:09:47oil cannot be traded if it's not sold and bought in the US
- 2:09:51dollar. You cannot take yen.
- 2:09:53You cannot take any other currency and buy oil.
- 2:09:56You would have to buy U.S. dollars then buy oil.
- 2:09:59That's what gave us the control after gold didn't.
- 2:10:02They just and that. Just ended now.
- 2:10:04Now the first time it was not renewed was this was last year.
- 2:10:07So we know or this year or or no or it ends here soon.
- 2:10:10Yeah, the first. Transaction not using the dollar
- 2:10:13was like a few months ago, that's what.
- 2:10:15I'm saying so we're in a unique situation, so.
- 2:10:20Who's that mystery guy, Michael? Maybe you'll find out one day.
- 2:10:23Yeah, keep watching the box. Sexy voice.
- 2:10:27Yeah, he actually sounds. Does he look like that in
- 2:10:29person? I don't know.
- 2:10:29Girls, He does. Does he has a neck tattoo?
- 2:10:42Do you want to go? What's the I see you in here?
- 2:10:45The. Next or you want me to?
- 2:10:50Go for it, OK? I'm a pick one instead right
- 2:10:56now. Side hustle grind.
- 2:11:00Everyone has a side hustle. DoorDash plus freelance plus
- 2:11:05Poshmark. Are we repeating grind culture
- 2:11:08because of where we are at right now?
- 2:11:10What's grind? Culture.
- 2:11:11Like this hide, hustle, grind like that.
- 2:11:15We need to have multiple jobs in order to be able to do things.
- 2:11:19Are we repeating things? Is this history repeating
- 2:11:21itself? Is this rhyming?
- 2:11:22Is this something now I feel like?
- 2:11:24That that could literally be the same byproduct of the last
- 2:11:26conversation. Yeah.
- 2:11:28Maybe because. Everybody who owns, no, no, no,
- 2:11:29no, it's a great question, great question.
- 2:11:31But everybody who has had the assets like OK, so I have
- 2:11:34$100,000 house in 1980, it's worth like $1,000,000 right now,
- 2:11:38right? So everybody, the more assets
- 2:11:40you have, the more homes you own in assets are not just homes,
- 2:11:43but just assets, period. The more that you have of things
- 2:11:47that are real that you can't like.
- 2:11:49That's why the rich, the rich is getting richer, not because of
- 2:11:52like there, there's some evil plot going on.
- 2:11:54I mean, there could be, let's not go there, but Illuminati.
- 2:11:57Yeah. But but it really is just a
- 2:11:59byproduct of the fact that if you have an asset, you're going
- 2:12:03to continue to become richer just because of what you own and
- 2:12:05possess. And if you don't, if you, if you
- 2:12:07weren't for since 71, if you weren't part of that game, it's
- 2:12:12a 700% difference between where you are and where you were.
- 2:12:15So the, the grind culture right now, the hustle culture, it's
- 2:12:18always man, I feel like that was that was my generation.
- 2:12:21And to like and like being of coming of age at like the turn
- 2:12:24of the 21st century. All we fucking thought about and
- 2:12:27talked about was hustling. That was all me and my people
- 2:12:30did. We was, that's all it was like
- 2:12:32that's all we lived and breathed was hustle.
- 2:12:35I feel like the younger people aren't necessarily like that at
- 2:12:39all. I mean, again, you don't ever.
- 2:12:42And one thing I will say, to quote my son, he told me a few
- 2:12:47years ago, he said dad only the Sith deal in absolutes only.
- 2:12:51The Sith. Deal in absolutes.
- 2:12:55Yeah, the rule too. Dude, yeah.
- 2:12:56So well, no, but he dropped that on me meaning like like only the
- 2:12:58sit deal in that way, like so whenever you say like, I try to
- 2:13:01refrain from using the words like always and never because
- 2:13:04and like all people, you know, because it's not true like and
- 2:13:06like so when I when I speak on younger ones, like.
- 2:13:09When? Yeah, when I speak, when I say I
- 2:13:11don't see that same hustle from like the next generation or the
- 2:13:14people who are, you know, of age in 2010 and 2020.
- 2:13:19Of course there's going to be, there's always going to be them.
- 2:13:21But, and maybe it was just my immediate environment, but like,
- 2:13:24if you look at the music, all the music talked about was
- 2:13:28money, women, possession, all of that.
- 2:13:31Right. Fuck.
- 2:13:32Bitches get money. So y'all.
- 2:13:36Can see what he's teasing. Oh.
- 2:13:40Shit, I did that on. Camera so it's.
- 2:13:43Like that one time as bad. As what I did on.
- 2:13:46Camera 3. Episodes ago so.
- 2:13:49This is. A2 parter too so.
- 2:13:52Really. True, this is a 2 parter 100%
- 2:13:56but. I mean, I'm sure you can.
- 2:13:58It's OK. No, we got out of like the last
- 2:14:00two. Hours of us talking.
- 2:14:01You got to get 20 minutes of of actual quality content there,
- 2:14:03I'm sure. So yeah, 2.
- 2:14:05Clips 2 clips. Yeah, two clips.
- 2:14:06Yeah, 2 shorts. That's all you're going to get.
- 2:14:08Oh. No, we're no, no, no, we're as
- 2:14:09in like, no, we don't, we don't cut things out.
- 2:14:12I'm just being sarcastic. Part 1 and a Part 2 Sarcasm,
- 2:14:15but. So, but OK, if I would to when
- 2:14:19you were asking the question and what ran through my head was, is
- 2:14:22I don't think that the side hustle is the way to be.
- 2:14:24That's yeah. Because if you're, if you're
- 2:14:26putting, I've never seen people put 50% energy in 50% energy
- 2:14:32into two different things and then and get nearly the same
- 2:14:35amount of outcome as if they put 100% into one thing.
- 2:14:38Yeah. So.
- 2:14:39I'm I'm starting to sell Pokémon and magic cards online.
- 2:14:43OK. And I'm putting less than 8
- 2:14:46hours a day into it and we're going to see how long it takes
- 2:14:49for that to pay off. OK.
- 2:14:52I'm not saying like, well, listen, so now like, like I'm
- 2:14:55not saying that there's anything wrong with and, you know, like
- 2:14:57do you and hustle like you got to do what you got to do to
- 2:14:59connect dots. Like, I mean, I don't, I'm not
- 2:15:02the type of person that believes you should like really rely on
- 2:15:04anything other than your own abilities.
- 2:15:07Yeah. But what I would say is that if
- 2:15:10that if if you put in that little amount of time in it and
- 2:15:13the reward out gains what you're doing, you should figure out a
- 2:15:15way to make that your thing. And you should, you should, you
- 2:15:18should. That should be an exit out of
- 2:15:20what you're doing. Yeah, side.
- 2:15:21Hostels need to be gateway drugs, yes. 1000%.
- 2:15:25Yeah, where? We inevitably we're going to be
- 2:15:27mixing uppers and Downers. It's you got to.
- 2:15:32Bounce your. It's the.
- 2:15:33Next logical step, man, it's just what you do.
- 2:15:37Oh my God, man. OK, hold on.
- 2:15:43Well, it's 'cause I'm trying to figure out, like, where to go.
- 2:15:49OK, well you know, it's 'cause we would have done lightning
- 2:15:52round next and I was I, I don't. What was the first thing that
- 2:15:59you did that you want to consider a side hustle?
- 2:16:02What was? The first thing I did make music
- 2:16:06actually, dude, that's all I've ever done is hustle, man.
- 2:16:08Like I'm interesting thing that I always like a mindset that
- 2:16:12something I came up with was I've been in sales my whole
- 2:16:14life. I've been 100% Commission almost
- 2:16:16since I was like 18. I've never really actually had
- 2:16:19an hourly wage and a paycheck that I knew was going to be a
- 2:16:21certain dollar amount, which is a wild way to live.
- 2:16:23I learned I didn't realize it wasn't normal, but I was
- 2:16:27considered what I eventually started telling people is like,
- 2:16:29well, I'm a wild animal and most, most, most people are zoo
- 2:16:35animals, right? Like if you like.
- 2:16:37And it just as a way to make myself like look cool, sound
- 2:16:39cool, especially like talking to a lady.
- 2:16:41Be like, oh, I'm a wild animal you.
- 2:16:44Think that, Oh my God, I think like as if a guy was like, I'm a
- 2:16:48wild animal. I'd be like.
- 2:16:50What's something wrong with this dude?
- 2:16:51Right? Of course, that's called every
- 2:16:53man in his 20s, by the way. But but, but really though, like
- 2:17:00when I when I the difference between zoo animals and wild
- 2:17:03animals, a zoo animal is fed, but it has no choice of how much
- 2:17:07or what it's eating, but it knows it's going to get fed.
- 2:17:11You know you're going to get a paycheck and you know how much
- 2:17:12you're going to get Me as a wild animal, I don't know if I'm
- 2:17:15going to eat unless I go out and I hunt.
- 2:17:18I see what you're. Saying but you.
- 2:17:20Do but you do learn what I what I did learn about this was the
- 2:17:22beauty of farming as a hunter. Well, it's kill, eat, kill, eat,
- 2:17:26kill, eat. And this also will circle this
- 2:17:29back into faith and religion is that as a when you learn to
- 2:17:33farm, you learn that, yes, you have to be very consistent.
- 2:17:38You have to be very diligent. But once you do like once like
- 2:17:41you, when you take something from seed to fruit, the that the
- 2:17:45it's the bounty is it's plentiful.
- 2:17:48It's it's abundant. There's like one seed, one piece
- 2:17:51of fruit, like 1 apple has 10 seeds in it or 8 seeds, 7 seeds
- 2:17:54in it. One of those seeds turns into a
- 2:17:56tree and gives you 1002 thousand apples every year.
- 2:18:00And each of those apples has the ability and that's.
- 2:18:02Why I grow the oranges and the watermelons in my backyard.
- 2:18:04You guys exactly in Wichita, KS? Yes, we're going to go to the
- 2:18:07lighting round. OK, go ahead year round.
- 2:18:09Year round, year round, it's December.
- 2:18:13It's. December 6th right now.
- 2:18:16And I plucked this guy beautifully.
- 2:18:19I went out there Lightning Round.
- 2:18:21Yeah. So we're actually going to do
- 2:18:23one question in Lightning Round. This is where you will ask
- 2:18:26something. That was Lightning doesn't.
- 2:18:28Make a sound, remember? This is Thunder.
- 2:18:33So this is where we're going to ask you.
- 2:18:35Normally we'd shoot fire questions, but honestly, all of
- 2:18:38the lightning ones, we've kind of gone through all of them.
- 2:18:41So we're just going to ask one, and that's what's going to lead
- 2:18:44us to conclusion. Cool.
- 2:18:48What's your most controversial anime opinion?
- 2:18:51Oh jeez. I don't even know how you have
- 2:18:57controversy with anime. You didn't.
- 2:19:00Like the attack on Titans or finish it.
- 2:19:01So I didn't say. It in that's.
- 2:19:03Controversial. I don't know.
- 2:19:06I mean, I'm. Against I'm.
- 2:19:08Against somebody. According to Reddit.
- 2:19:10According to Reddit right now I'm with so many people from
- 2:19:13I'm. I'm in the room of Reddit people
- 2:19:15I. Mean Is it us?
- 2:19:20Is it our fault? So.
- 2:19:24Associate myself with weird people all the time.
- 2:19:26Well, OK, so. I have one.
- 2:19:30Oh, you have? One please.
- 2:19:31Yeah. Help.
- 2:19:31Me out here, man, like I don't know, like I I I'm I'm not even
- 2:19:34though I dove in deep. I'm not really wide like so I
- 2:19:38guess I have Naruto socks on right now, right, but but I
- 2:19:41haven't seen a ton of anime. I just know that once I
- 2:19:44discovered kind of what it was and my son got me into it by the
- 2:19:46way, right, so like so it's something we could share.
- 2:19:48But what I loved about it was the attitude and the mindset of,
- 2:19:51like, I like, and I know there's and I, I have this opinion that
- 2:19:56there is a loss in translation because you know how, like, most
- 2:20:00of what I watch is in English. Yeah.
- 2:20:02But every anime they say, no matter what, that is like a key
- 2:20:06phrase you see in every anime, like, I'm going to do this no
- 2:20:09matter what. I bet in Japanese, there's a
- 2:20:12really cool word or phrase or something that no matter what is
- 2:20:15being translated from that. I would love to know, like, more
- 2:20:18about what that is. Oh.
- 2:20:20That's a good one, yeah, but that.
- 2:20:22Is the key thing that at least the ones I watch and you know
- 2:20:25like demon Slayer's one, I've seen everything on which I'm a
- 2:20:29fan of I've been I've watched the shield hero, which is like a
- 2:20:33newer one, but honestly it's kind of hard to like it's
- 2:20:39daunting to find a next one like more to go into because what
- 2:20:42it's. For you.
- 2:20:45For sure, let's do it. I'll watch it.
- 2:20:48And actually the way you describe the ending, I'm
- 2:20:50extremely fascinated. Now to see more because I want.
- 2:20:52To know and a lot of. Shows season 1 doesn't actually
- 2:20:54pick up like let's like a lot of shows that are great it takes a
- 2:20:57whole season to create the environment or sometimes
- 2:21:00they're. Backwards.
- 2:21:01I really like Tokyo Ghoul, first season is so good.
- 2:21:04The rest of them tapped out again.
- 2:21:06I don't know what the fuck is going on so I'll watch.
- 2:21:09Season 1 maybe but and I would love any input on anime 'cause I
- 2:21:12I like to ask people about things but like I mean I watched
- 2:21:15about 100 and something episodes in One Piece and having
- 2:21:18scratched the surface on that, man it's wild.
- 2:21:21I would. Not watch One Piece as a binge
- 2:21:22watcher 11. 100 I think it's. Further than that, like I think
- 2:21:25they're close to 12 now, or even 13.
- 2:21:28Oh. My God.
- 2:21:29Yeah. As a binge watcher, no no thank
- 2:21:31you. What was your?
- 2:21:32Controversy. Literally.
- 2:21:32We'll. Never come back.
- 2:21:33We'll never see you. Yeah, I'm not doing it.
- 2:21:36Yes. We're kind of in the same boat
- 2:21:38as English dubbed anime is still good dude.
- 2:21:44I really dig it. And what's crazy is when you
- 2:21:46fall out, that is. A very big controversy.
- 2:21:48I I. Dig.
- 2:21:49I like that. I'm I'm that was a great
- 2:21:51approach volcano. High proved it.
- 2:21:54Well, I mean like. I don't the movie.
- 2:21:57Yeah, the. Movie where they.
- 2:21:58Had all the Lil Jon and everybody did.
- 2:22:00No, that was a travesty because I watched the original first
- 2:22:03before that came out. I was like, what is it?
- 2:22:05That's what I was going to say is that when you like you fall
- 2:22:08in love with the character. The voice is part of who they
- 2:22:10are. And then when you hear them in
- 2:22:12the other, like in like when you hear them in Japanese, you're
- 2:22:15like, it's like Goku. It's like Goku.
- 2:22:17I cannot watch him in Japanese. Like it's like what?
- 2:22:19He sounds like a little tiny man.
- 2:22:23I've never seen it in Japanese. Like, yeah, honestly, here's
- 2:22:28one, Here's one. Like I'm old school, so I never,
- 2:22:30I didn't get past Z Dragon Ball Z is the most stressful thing I
- 2:22:36think I've ever watched in my life.
- 2:22:38Dragon Ball Z, like especially like the Frieza arc.
- 2:22:42Yeah, God, I was like exploding on the inside, like when you're
- 2:22:49like 160 episodes into one fight.
- 2:22:52Yeah. This is just screw this.
- 2:22:54Dude, I'm out. I still.
- 2:22:55Stay. I'm out.
