Mosquito season’s hitting the Eastern Shore hard — and Maryland’s taking flight to fight back. Starting Monday evening, a white twin-engine plane with red and blue stripes will buzz low over Dorchester and Somerset counties, spraying a targeted, ultra-low-dose insecticide called Trumpet (containing naled) to slash adult mosquito populations. No need to evacuate — pets, families, and livestock can stay put.
