- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are. Here, we are on
- 0:03Speaker 1: this Monday, last break of the day. It's been a
- 0:06Speaker 1: great day. Thank you guys. As always, we love our audience.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We see if our our nation is the best. We
- 0:12Speaker 1: love you guys. We appreciate so much. We do. All right.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Steve Junior has a question for you.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Okay, what's on your mind?
- 0:22Speaker 3: You're so good, it's so many things. Just talk to
- 0:25Speaker 3: us about developing a skill set where you always stayed
- 0:27Speaker 3: a course. You know you've accomplished so much, but you've
- 0:31Speaker 3: never quit on pretty much nothing I've ever seen you do.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Well.
- 0:38Speaker 2: See, here's the thing about quitting. I take quitting as
- 0:43Speaker 2: an option off the table because if you quit, the
- 0:46Speaker 2: possibility of it happening is gone. If you quit, there
- 0:53Speaker 2: is no turning it around. If you quit, there is
- 0:58Speaker 2: no victory even possible. And then if you quit, I
- 1:07Speaker 2: just can't see myself living with the uh you know
- 1:12Speaker 2: what is it the it's not resentment, regret, it's regret.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I can't see myself living with that much regret. That's
- 1:24Speaker 2: why quitting for me is not an option. Now. Sometimes
- 1:29Speaker 2: you can stay with something so long that's just not
- 1:32Speaker 2: meant to be. You can do that. I've done that too,
- 1:37Speaker 2: So you know, the same thing that's one of my
- 1:40Speaker 2: strengths can also be one of your curses. Like I
- 1:44Speaker 2: will ride a situation until the wheels come off. Every
- 1:47Speaker 2: situation doesn't require that. And so you have to have
- 1:51Speaker 2: a voice of discernment. You have to have good quality
- 1:54Speaker 2: people around you to help you sort of figure some
- 1:57Speaker 2: of this stuff out. I give you an ex I
- 2:01Speaker 2: made my first meme ever in my life. I've never
- 2:04Speaker 2: made a meme before, and I made it last week
- 2:09Speaker 2: and it was a funny meme and I used it
- 2:11Speaker 2: as a joke on family feud And I did this,
- 2:13Speaker 2: put this meme up on this family feud board that
- 2:16Speaker 2: I had made. Audience be cracking up. So I sent
- 2:19Speaker 2: it to my son as my social media team, and
- 2:21Speaker 2: I say, hey, man, I'm gonna post this. I'm gonna
- 2:24Speaker 2: put this capture with it. They said, no, you're not.
- 2:27Speaker 2: And I said, well why not? They said, because you're
- 2:30Speaker 2: Steve Harvey. I said, yeah, but it's funny. She said, yes, Steve,
- 2:34Speaker 2: but it's you. I got that. It's funny, but that's
- 2:40Speaker 2: not what people expect from you. People expect to be
- 2:45Speaker 2: motivated by you to be inspired by you, to be
- 2:48Speaker 2: uplifted by you, and you're making a meme against another
- 2:52Speaker 2: human being. He said, that's just not your brand. So
- 2:57Speaker 2: you got to have people around you man to help you.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You make decisions. You can make some decisions that will
- 3:04Speaker 2: force you to quit something. You've seen that many times
- 3:09Speaker 2: in this life. You can actually make a decision that
- 3:12Speaker 2: forces you to quit. So it's not about you quitting.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It's just you made an action, you made a choice,
- 3:17Speaker 2: and the consequences were so dire that you had to
- 3:20Speaker 2: you had to give up your position. So I've done
- 3:24Speaker 2: them all, and I just try not to be that way,
- 3:28Speaker 2: even though quitting is not an option. I try not
- 3:31Speaker 2: to do stuff just so stupid that it will cause
- 3:33Speaker 2: me to have to quit. How many times on this
- 3:36Speaker 2: morning show have I said something and because we got
- 3:39Speaker 2: a dump button, y'all dumped it before it got out
- 3:42Speaker 2: and went are you out of your mind? You can't
- 3:45Speaker 2: possibly think? Listen, Carla and Shirley has saved this show
- 3:56Speaker 2: so many times. Listen to me, I'm telling you right now,
- 4:01Speaker 2: of the twenty twenty one years we've been on the radio, Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 2: I promise you, they've saved this show at least fifteen times.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I mean saved it, man, flat out saved it. Now,
- 4:17Speaker 2: me and Tommy and Junior, let's go run it. We're
- 4:21Speaker 2: gonna do it. What are you? What are y'all talking? Mom?
- 4:25Speaker 2: We laughing hard as hell. It was gonna be funny
- 4:29Speaker 2: to the three comedians, but it's gonna cost us. So
- 4:33Speaker 2: you know, Junior, quitting for me has never been to
- 4:36Speaker 2: develop the mindset. Man, you must understand that everything you
- 4:40Speaker 2: want in life is on the other side of uncomfortable,
- 4:45Speaker 2: and you got to go through the uncomfortable things to
- 4:48Speaker 2: get to the things that you want. And in the
- 4:50Speaker 2: uncomfortable times is when people usually quit. But if you
- 4:55Speaker 2: don't fight through the uncomfortable times, you'll never get to
- 4:57Speaker 2: the other side. And what you want is on the
- 5:00Speaker 2: the other side. What you want seem like is always
- 5:05Speaker 2: across the street, don't it, And it's a traffic jam
- 5:09Speaker 2: out there, but they blowing by, and it's like the autobard.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Not only is it traffic out there, but everybody speed.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Remember that game. They used to have a little arcade
- 5:20Speaker 2: game called leap Frog. It was a frog game crossing
- 5:23Speaker 2: the street, and the frog was crossing the street tried
- 5:26Speaker 2: to get him across the street without getting smashed by
- 5:28Speaker 2: the car. Yeah, that's what it's like. Sometimes you can't quit, man,
- 5:37Speaker 2: Just got to stay with it. The best way to
- 5:41Speaker 2: develop that attitude is to ride something all the way
- 5:44Speaker 2: out and see what it felt like when you got there.
- 5:48Speaker 2: It'll build up your confidence, it'll build up your thirst,
- 5:53Speaker 2: it'll satisfy your needs. But you gotta stay with it.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Don't quit, man, don't quit. I'm not known as a quitter. Now.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Have I been known as the hardest working man in
- 6:08Speaker 2: show business? Yeah? As a price you pay for it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: It's a price you pray for that too. Now I
- 6:16Speaker 2: want to be the smartest working man in show business.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Just need that hundred. That's all. Headit meal, don't nobody. God.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Have a great day, y'all. Talk to God. He would
- 6:35Speaker 2: absolutely love to hear from you. Okay, y'all stay.
