October 10th
Jazz, hard rock, alternative rock, punk, K-pop and experimental music come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to October 10.
We remember Thelonious Monk, celebrate David Lee Roth and Suzy, revisit the day No Doubt’s Tragic Kingdom and Green Day’s Insomniac arrived together, and return to Radiohead’s groundbreaking pay-what-you-want release of In Rainbows.
One date, several generations, and music stretching from bebop and Van Halen to ’90s alternative rock, K-pop and one of the boldest album releases of the digital era.
