- 0:05Jesus reminds me. I belong to him.
- 0:47I got to be honest with you, Ryan that song kind of gets me.
- 0:51It gets me to every time I hear it.
- 0:56Thank you. Thank you.
- 0:57You know what? I'm going to grab the cough drop
- 0:59real quick. That might help me out a little
- 1:01bit here. Tonight you go ahead.
- 1:03Thank you. Everybody for tuning in to
- 1:05Proverbs guy Ministries that has no longer official at his
- 1:09ministries. I don't know if any of you guys
- 1:11can see this, but we have an awesome guest with us today.
- 1:14Mister Brett Keane is in the house to hang out with us, how
- 1:18you doing. Pretty good.
- 1:21Looking forward to seeing what the conversations about.
- 1:23I'd like to suggest that our man here has some hot tea.
- 1:27That always helps me. Yeah, right.
- 1:31Thank you. Thank you.
- 1:33I appreciate that. It's just like, I like, I like
- 1:37cold symptoms, really thankful. He felt like really bad or
- 1:42anything like that. Just feels like I've got a bit
- 1:45of a cold and I'd like to think I'm getting over it.
- 1:49I hope I am. Join us tomorrow night bread for
- 1:58the Flat Earth debate. But you know what?
- 2:02My views always been the Earth is pizza shaped what was so far
- 2:08we only have globers. We have no flat Earth unless
- 2:12missing. Mod comes on she can present the
- 2:15flat-earth argument. So we might have to default to
- 2:18the pizza shape. A flat earther won't come on.
- 2:21Proverbs you might be able to help missing mod was something
- 2:25she plans on interviewing me and throwing out all kinds of
- 2:28questions. You can tell her all the weird
- 2:29ones to ask me. I would be happy to help her
- 2:33with that. I think it would be great for
- 2:34her to interview you. Yeah, I'm missing something.
- 2:39If you're looking for experience, with interviewing,
- 2:41Brett Keane is the guy to hit. Before I go any further, let me
- 2:47go to the Lord in prayer real quick.
- 2:49Do you Lord. I just want to thank you for
- 2:53this opportunity. Just incredible up to me that
- 2:55you've given me and getting all of us to glorify you and to
- 2:59minister to people through you and to bless others through you,
- 3:04Lord, bless you bless others. Us is what I mean, I pray that
- 3:09everybody doing tonight was blessed by what they here
- 3:14tonight. Thank you for all you do for a
- 3:18speech and every day you just hang up for it.
- 3:22Hey I see. Dustin is here.
- 3:25Good just to you. I'm coming you tonight for my
- 3:29iPhone because Maya PC has a blown power supply and so it's
- 3:38in the shop right now. But you know there's more than
- 3:40one way to skin a cat as they say there's more than one way to
- 3:44put on a YouTube show me yard sales that we had duston with us
- 3:50from and Grayson is with us. Yes, yes, I just see them.
- 3:59Good to see both of you. Both of you were waiting on our
- 4:03special guest. I just got a message from me,
- 4:06says, yes, sir. And let will get in here.
- 4:08So our special guest tonight is someone That well I'll wait till
- 4:15he gets here. I want to say that I was
- 4:17watching a joker be video earlier and he was talking about
- 4:21it's off the Curt airb often 2019 was a very pivotal year for
- 4:30a ham as far as the Lord's chasing him.
- 4:33And apparently you're not been right with God and not going
- 4:36walking with the Lord like you should have been in, in 2019,
- 4:38God chastens him. He lost everything.
- 4:41I had to move in with his him and his wife had to move in with
- 4:43his parents and I'm thinking you and me.
- 4:46But what I did not say that severe but I was also chastened
- 4:51in 2019 when I had not been walking with the Lord, like I
- 4:57should have and someone that I made into an idol.
- 5:02Turn against me and betrayed me and hurt me very badly, but I
- 5:08need it, I need it, I wouldn't be here.
- 5:10Now, if I did not happen, I'd still be a slumbering, Carl
- 5:14Tristan or whatever. I was at the time.
- 5:17So I think you know God sometimes has to bring pain into
- 5:22our lives to grow us and that's exactly.
- 5:25What happened in my case? But we're waiting on a special
- 5:31guest. A young man that I know I was
- 5:35telling you before the show Brian about the the new friend I
- 5:38had made today, you had got brought up, I was telling him
- 5:43about all my different hosts and he pointed something out that I
- 5:49honestly think has eluded me many times about your testimony
- 5:53when I told him that you had been redeemed for someone to
- 6:05come out of that Community. That's a miracle and I hit me
- 6:08Ryan. I didn't think about it till
- 6:10just then Thank you, thank you Tina.
- 6:16I want to spoil, you know, I wouldn't be here.
- 6:19I wouldn't be anyone. I would have anything if it
- 6:24weren't for God, He gets all the glory.
- 6:27He gets all the honor and everything I have is in his
- 6:31hands. This is who I am a child of God
- 6:35but we have a special guest with us.
- 6:38Tonight is a young man that I first discovered on YouTube
- 6:42about sometime between six months and a year ago.
- 6:46Can't remember the exact date but you know how YouTube suggest
- 6:49videos for you? But I suggested a video from a
- 6:53channel called The Gospel call. And if you want to put that on a
- 6:57banner Steven, that would be awesome.
- 6:59For the gospel in his name is Samuel spoonhour?
- 7:03And I was so impressed was just so I mean, I wouldn't have the
- 7:15courage to walk up to a stranger and start share the gospel with,
- 7:19maybe maybe that's coming. Maybe God is getting me there,
- 7:21but the ministry was called Brian.
- 7:26The gospel call. The gospel call and I've seen
- 7:32him grow. I think you got close to 200.
- 7:43You know, God, I mean you're just one more Godly.
- 7:46Young person that he has brought to my attention to support and
- 7:51promote, like the singing groups that I'm friends with.
- 7:54And, of course, course The Buckinghams, which hopefully
- 7:58Jeremiah will be in here shortly.
- 7:59Gloria said that he had been asleep.
- 8:03But Samuel. Why don't you tell us a little
- 8:06bit about yourself and how you, how you came to be where you are
- 8:11now. I'm torn.
- 8:14How you can you hear me? All right, by the way, that's
- 8:20good. Well, again, my name is Samuel
- 8:23spoonhour? I'm from, I'm from cheese
- 8:27country. So Greene County actually is
- 8:32known as the cheese capital of the world.
- 8:34So he's Factory. Thank you for your service.
- 8:44I appreciate that. Thank you, and your welcome.
- 8:48So call Klondike cheese in that actually is kind of turned into
- 8:54a ministry as well. I, I think God everyday for the
- 8:57influence. I can have there before I had
- 9:01cuz I I'd gone off to For some for the summer.
- 9:04But before I left one of my co-workers told me that I I know
- 9:10the answers for every one of his questions is actually getting
- 9:13hard for him to ask me more questions and you just come up
- 9:16with the weirdest of questions to like the dumbest of things.
- 9:20And God gave me the wisdom. So I think God for that cuz she
- 9:24really blessed me. But I started doing my YouTube
- 9:28channel about 2 years ago in July, and I had over, probably a
- 9:35year-and-a-half had watch Ray Comfort a lot, and just seeing
- 9:38him interview people and talk to people in person and also
- 9:43explaining how to share the gospel.
- 9:44And I always wanted to not only get better at it, cuz I, I
- 9:49prayed to God that he would just help me to get better at
- 9:51evangelizing. I've started handing out tracks,
- 9:55probably, when I was I think like 16 I had an RC car that I
- 10:04would take the parts and I would actually bring John and Roman
- 10:07slow little Bibles with me and hand those out.
- 10:09I was always scared to death. I definitely have fear of people
- 10:15and then going up to them. I love feeling exactly.
- 10:20It's not it's not always easy but my heart and even though I I
- 10:26thought it was my idea and it kind of was but God God used it.
- 10:31Anyways like he knew I was going to do that.
- 10:34He knew I was going to go out with a camcorder and just ask
- 10:36people for interviews and Boy, I can look at my first interview
- 10:40is I'm like wow that's not that good but hey you gave him the
- 10:44gospel. Right.
- 10:45And now it's just God has blessed me with knowledge and
- 10:49more wisdom and things. I'm still learning and he's just
- 10:52continually causing me to grow and I've seen people not only
- 10:57think me many times for the, for the influence I made in their
- 11:01lives. But even my family is trying to
- 11:03get better about evangelizing everyday and they're like, they
- 11:07always tell me, you'll be proud of me saying that I handed out
- 11:09the track today and I'm like, well, praise God, you know, do
- 11:14it for the Lord. But it's just God's been so
- 11:17great to me. And he's, he's really blessed me
- 11:20and I can't wait to see what he's going to do in my life.
- 11:25Amen. Brother Samuel.
- 11:28Damon, you keep doing what you're doing?
- 11:30You mind, if I ask you, how old you are?
- 11:33Yes, I'm 21 or right around Jeremiah's age and hopefully,
- 11:41he'll be in here soon. Both, you guys are just on fire
- 11:45for the Lord. He's also a channel if you want
- 11:48to check it out saying, Calling All Saints.
- 11:51And their some videos of me on there to that he's had me.
- 11:55But the reason I'm even here, How long ago Stephen would you
- 12:03set about 3 months ago, that you got the idea of putting me on
- 12:05here? I never got the idea.
- 12:08It was all God. Well, let me rephrase that God
- 12:14gave you that idea. So you told me first about doing
- 12:19this and then I said well you know I never even dreamed of
- 12:24doing what I'm doing now. Honey, I've always been I'll
- 12:29just watch I'll just listen but Steven encouraged me to start
- 12:34coming into the rooms and he he told me showed me how to do
- 12:37screen mirroring all that. And so the day, Samuel the day
- 12:43that Stephen suggested that I start getting on his channel and
- 12:47getting my testimony and all that.
- 12:48The very next day, when the three of us were Samuel
- 12:55Christian, Pike in me, where Tristan Pikes house eating
- 12:58lunch, the phone rings, and Jeremiah, Buckingham calls me up
- 13:04with the same idea and I'm like, that's exactly what Steven wants
- 13:10me to do. Jeremiah and I told him, I said,
- 13:15you know what, if I've got two friends coming up with the same
- 13:19idea, independently of like of each other, it means God wants
- 13:22me to do it. That's on about how my pastor
- 13:25got had been after him to write an autobiography and he kept
- 13:29putting it off and putting off and putting off knee.
- 13:31Finally got something finally happening where I couldn't speak
- 13:35and say, okay, got a right to even started getting better
- 13:40after that and have like a targeted audience, like, you try
- 13:47to go into atheistic communities LG TV or just anywhere you're at
- 13:54Well, mostly each video is targeted to different sect of
- 13:59people, but I have definitely had a lot of atheists interviews
- 14:05and those are usually the ones that get the most views, but
- 14:10also atheists in the comments section and a lot of interviews.
- 14:15Yes, I do. I actually did one today with a
- 14:19lovely Christian lady and just I was able to give her some
- 14:22encouragement and so I I go out now.
- 14:26Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays. He used to be every day, but I I
- 14:30cannot handle it. I understand it it I stressed
- 14:35about it which is not good. Evangelizing, for the Lord's.
- 14:39It should be a pleasure and a joy.
- 14:41Sorry, I take more time into it, but I also try to be more
- 14:46relaxed and, or are you looking for more interviews?
- 14:51Because I'm not sure if you're from the You're with him.
- 14:54But Brett Keane is in the audience with us tonight and at
- 14:57one point and YouTube history. Brett Keane was the most popular
- 15:02atheist on all of YouTube and really a believer in God and
- 15:07Christ Jesus. He's with us tonight.
- 15:08But he's one of the most hated men on YouTube because of that
- 15:12testimony. So that would be a good a good
- 15:15interview for you. I believe, praise God, that is,
- 15:18that is awesome. I I definitely would consider
- 15:21that sincerely. That is, that is a great
- 15:25opportunity to check out his channel sometime.
- 15:28I think it's is a Brett Keane TV or Brett Keane, official turn
- 15:36it. But nowadays, you can just go to
- 15:38at Brett Keane and that's it, youtube.com at breakfast.
- 15:44Thanks so much Samuel. I'm hoping and praying that we
- 15:49can boost your channel tonight. Some of the people watching will
- 15:54subscribe to your channel and you know I when I first
- 15:59discovered you, I felt the Lord was saying Encourage him support
- 16:06and promote him if you can any way that you can and, you know,
- 16:10and God has laid. I guess Jim's ears on my hard as
- 16:16far as those that did love the Lord and they want to reach
- 16:19their generation with the guy in August.
- 16:25I just I mean I know so many of them.
- 16:26Now the styles that the family solve the 3 Heath Brothers
- 16:31Children of the promise there's a young man named, Kobe Smith
- 16:37gen Z Ministries that God brought to my attention also.
- 16:41And he lives in Georgia are the 3.
- 16:48Heath brothers are going to be performing in East Dublin,
- 16:51Georgia in October, and I have a feeling that Colby and his
- 16:55family live pretty close to there.
- 16:57So, I'm hoping that they can join me to see them that day,
- 17:01but it's so weird. You know, this past weekend, not
- 17:09this past week, and the one before that I took The
- 17:13Buckinghams to the ark encounter.
- 17:14You had a chance to go to that Samuel.
- 17:17No, I haven't. But I know my dad would love to
- 17:22Yeah, it's probably a little bit further fears about A6 hour
- 17:24drive for me, but the coincidental thing is at The
- 17:28Buckinghams live in Knoxville Tennessee, which is literally
- 17:31halfway between here and the Ark encounter.
- 17:34So, I went up and visit with them and stay the night and
- 17:38Knoxville, and then all of us went the next day up to the ark
- 17:41encounter. And so, I took a six-hour drive
- 17:43and cut it into so that made it really, that was very convenient
- 17:47to be able to do that. So, so, how did you can you tell
- 17:54me about your family? Last Samuel, you're obviously
- 17:57raised a Christian at Race by, Yo, Gotti parents.
- 18:04Yeah, there's your stripper page.
- 18:05Thank you for shared that. Go ahead, whatever you feel like
- 18:13saying Daniel. Well, first of all, thank you
- 18:16for advertising I Channel. I really appreciate it.
- 18:19And my family isn't isn't too large, but I have two brothers
- 18:27and two sisters and my dad's actually a pastor in, in Monroe.
- 18:33And my mom is the Secretariat. It's a bit of a smaller church,
- 18:40but she, she helps with her music Ministry and stuff.
- 18:42And it's, it's been a very long journey with my family, like the
- 18:50things that God has brought us through.
- 18:52So it's just it's just different things.
- 18:56I don't want to like start talking, cuz when I start
- 19:00talking, like I don't stop by God has done a lot in my mom's
- 19:09life, and she even has a podcast to It's carried by Grace podcast
- 19:14and and you can find that on pretty much any podcast hosting
- 19:19website. She's pretty much all over but
- 19:21she just her story is amazing and the people that she talks
- 19:27too. I mean, like, I'm, I get into
- 19:30it. I'm like, well, this is insane.
- 19:32I can't believe this actually happened.
- 19:34And God actually did that, and it is just the craziest things
- 19:38that you never believe that would happen.
- 19:41But so God is really using her as she teaches music to.
- 19:47My dad actually has a master's degree in biblical studies so
- 19:53even though some Greek. So he's a very wise man and I
- 19:57appreciate I appreciate him a lot and he's taught me a lot
- 20:01too. So sitting Through the Bible
- 20:04studies and through Sunday school and in through the
- 20:07sermons and I actually take notes now, I never used the four
- 20:12of a kind of top me to take notes and it just makes me
- 20:16really appreciate my dad sermons and what God talks to him about
- 20:20and My brother Stephen is married.
- 20:25He actually he got married in May and so he lives in Judah.
- 20:31Now he used to live with us but he lives in Judah.
- 20:33Now I, which is not far. It's like 10 minute drive and
- 20:39God uses him. He's the youth pastor.
- 20:42He also works at Klondike cheese, with me, and we're both
- 20:45actually now, like, official. They are refers.
- 20:48He's, he's much better than I am, but we're both getting into
- 20:52wedding jobs, especially, but I'm actually going to be helping
- 20:55him and working alongside him. So my ultimate dream, and I
- 21:02believe the Lord wants me to do this, but to actually make
- 21:05films, that glorify God and good well-made Christian movies, that
- 21:11bloke unbelievers away. I seen this on so many different
- 21:16platforms and I've been so impressed at the job that that
- 21:21Dallas has been doing what God is used in 4.
- 21:23And I want to make movies that can really Influence People in
- 21:27change people's lives. So that's that's my ultimate
- 21:31goal and it's just for now wherever the Lord leads me but I
- 21:37question yes of course you were given a if out of the blue, you
- 21:44were given a ten million dollar budget to make whatever movie
- 21:47you want. You write the script, but you
- 21:50can only do one movie for the rest of your life full of to be
- 21:53about if you don't mind me asking.
- 21:57The one problem with that question is, I actually have a
- 22:02series planned. I don't have just one movie is
- 22:05actually four different movies that all work together.
- 22:07You could do one, but it would be probably like 4 hours long,
- 22:12but it's actually about angels and it's fictional but it it's
- 22:18kind of starts with a book that I had started writing and my
- 22:23brother even had told me that if I could play it out well and do
- 22:28try to execute it, right? It would be a great story and
- 22:32it's very deep theological e and I think it's very impactful to
- 22:37just some important things that just us as Christians always
- 22:40need to remember, that's kind of the stuff in it is just us
- 22:44questioning God. Us questioning his not only is
- 22:48love, but his power and is his Holiness is his Justice.
- 22:51It's just often times will Be so busy in human life and yet will
- 22:58will forget these simple truths about God.
- 23:01And so, it's just they go through, struggles ended up
- 23:05learning these, the, these things, the hard way, but they,
- 23:09they love God, the morn. They want to serve in the more
- 23:11because of it. And so it's it's kind of an
- 23:15action fiction style. It's more towards genze, but
- 23:20it's definitely a dream of mine and I I have a lot of thoughts
- 23:25about it and I pretty much be yet.
- 23:29It's kind of a long long answer by.
- 23:32No, it was good. I appreciate it.
- 23:35It's obvious. You put a lot of thought into
- 23:36it. I'd rather an elaborate answers
- 23:39and no answer, just leveled enough, we have some folks in
- 23:46here, Captain strip stuff is here.
- 23:48And my friend, Jordan is here. Hello brother.
- 23:53Welcome to up my best friend Stone.
- 24:01If you heard me talk about Samuel and prop, you probably
- 24:04heard me talk about him. It was a lot of bad stuff.
- 24:08I don't know if you want us to read it in front of him tonight
- 24:10don't worry. I got that from my brothers and
- 24:14sisters too. So you know whenever I talk to
- 24:20people about you I just say you know, he's Ray Comfort, Junior.
- 24:24That's the way he's, he's right comfort.
- 24:30The generations be Ray comfort and we need more like him.
- 24:35And I hope that my other genze buddy Jeremiah gets in here
- 24:41soon. But how are you doing Jordan by
- 24:46the mercy of Jesus. Christ.
- 24:47I'm well, I'm just so grateful that that God loves me.
- 24:52I don't deserve is live but we serve a God.
- 24:56That is so rich in Mercy by others.
- 24:58It's just incredible. It's a fake to think about it.
- 25:01That the god of the universe loves us.
- 25:04Hey man. I sometimes think about how much
- 25:12I don't deserve and how much God is blessing.
- 25:15That's the crazy mind-blowing part, right because not only
- 25:20does the god of the universe. Love me and know me but he loves
- 25:25me knowing how Wicked I am. That's it.
- 25:28That's it. He knows every sin I committed
- 25:33and yet. Still still blessing.
- 25:37Me and Emma and I will still commit against him.
- 25:40And how awesome is that? But Samuel, my friend, Jeremiah,
- 25:55his wife luria actually spend some time in Wisconsin.
- 25:57I think they're doing what were they doing?
- 26:03Like a war hazmat suits? They're doing like, clean up.
- 26:06Like, I don't know where you're going to clean up a lot for the
- 26:11cheese Ryan. It's very toxic.
- 26:16But you said the dashleys facing persecution up there and I know
- 26:21where I live. And where several of us live is
- 26:24What's called the Bible Belt that where there's a church
- 26:28practically on every corner around here.
- 26:30And so I think I know it's different up where you are.
- 26:33Can you talk about what the environment is there and
- 26:36Wisconsin, Samuel is. Do you feel that it's probably
- 26:40people probably more hostile towards Christianity than maybe
- 26:44they are here? Possibly?
- 26:46Yes, of course, I have definitely had a lot of those
- 26:51experiences and it's not too bad in Monroe.
- 26:57I don't know exactly what it is. I know why Madison is terrible.
- 27:03Madison is horrendous, but Monroe, especially we have a lot
- 27:08of Catholics. And we have, I think like 20
- 27:12different kind of churches in Monroe, and even outside and
- 27:16different religions to like, not just.
- 27:20So here's a Catholic Presbyterian Lutheran.
- 27:22Know there's a Jehovah's Witness and a Mormon and a Seventh-Day
- 27:27Adventist all in one area. Is very religious town, and
- 27:35people are stubborn. But I think the reason is
- 27:42because people up here, and as you get closer to Canada, it's
- 27:47this way to. And even in Canada, people are
- 27:49really, really comfortable. They don't really want to move
- 27:53and change it all. So when you are telling them
- 27:57that their life choices are wrong and that they need to
- 28:01repent and trust in Jesus, it's just, it's something that they
- 28:05are not only not used to but they just, you know, they they
- 28:09put up their dukes and they say back off, you know, I'll fight
- 28:12for this. I had some of that today was
- 28:16just a lady who I know I'd seen her before and she's like we
- 28:19don't want you to do interviews here.
- 28:21Yeah. I'm like okay I will have a nice
- 28:24day, you know but it's just People are sadly.
- 28:32Pushy. According to the could I ask you
- 28:35a question of course so I take it.
- 28:39You like it's Ray Comfort style. That's how Ryan has described
- 28:42you several times. He called you like Ray Comfort,
- 28:44Junior Radio a light so I'm imagining it's the same
- 28:49strategy. What would you say your
- 28:51rejection rate is before you get someone willing to talk on
- 28:55camera to a microphone to a stranger?
- 28:59So I have absolutely no idea how Ray Comfort can get so many
- 29:04interviews, but I think that's just the difference between
- 29:07California, Wisconsin because I get rejected, probably 90% of
- 29:12the time, maybe another small percentage, they're of that
- 29:17rejection is I would like to do it but I don't have time and
- 29:24especially in Monroe to it's a little hard because it's a
- 29:27smaller town. There's not really a place where
- 29:29a lot of people hang out other than the parks.
- 29:32And which is, you know, it's very nice.
- 29:34Beautiful. It's, it's great for filming
- 29:36but, you know, I go to Madison, I could just go out any day to
- 29:41the, to the square, or by the, by the capital.
- 29:46And there are tons of people that I can even just hand out
- 29:49tracks to write. But like, here, I can opener for
- 29:53you. There's, there's not enough
- 29:54people, so, but I think it's really just because people are
- 29:59so comfortable, and they don't want to be on YouTube, they
- 30:03don't want to get out there. Monroe, has this mentality that
- 30:08everything out there out in the outside world is scary.
- 30:12We have one of the lowest rate of crimes in Wisconsin, and
- 30:18people are way too comfortable with it, and they be a freak out
- 30:23at the, the smallest of things, which can be a really bad thing.
- 30:27So I think that's why I kind of a guy with a camera walking
- 30:30around is kind of intimidating. especially when Mothers have
- 30:36their children are like, oh, who is this guy?
- 30:38Right. I need to protect my children
- 30:39share sounds like the kind of place where it's a quiet
- 30:45peaceful. Little town with everybody live
- 30:48in their quiet, peaceful Little Lives.
- 30:50You know, I used to be that kind of mentality.
- 30:52I mean, it's just like, let me live a quiet little life and I
- 30:55won't bother you. You don't bother me.
- 30:58And I'm just going to stay within my four walls, but
- 31:03that's, you know, that's not what the Bible tells us to do,
- 31:05is it Samuel? That's not what the Bible tells,
- 31:07you know, I have to sort of the opposite to where I am
- 31:12naturally, which is kind of introverted, and you eat best on
- 31:17the fact that you're naturally, not a people person necessarily,
- 31:21you're not necessarily extra extraverted by nature, but God
- 31:25gives us a new nature though, doesn't it?
- 31:27And I mean, just in the last couple years since God has
- 31:32really been working on me. I mean, I go everywhere with a
- 31:34smile on my face and I am nice and friendly.
- 31:37Debbie anyone I encounter, you know, most people are nuts every
- 31:42now and then. Somebody was just kind of give
- 31:45me a lucky. Not mine.
- 31:54And you know what? I have to tell myself.
- 31:57I have no reason not to smile. Look what Jesus has done for me.
- 32:01I mean, for crying out loud, if you, if you knew the meaning of
- 32:0610 to 20 years ago and an end in the way, I thought the way my
- 32:12mentality was, the way I lived at the things that I pursued.
- 32:17I mean, I'm not the same and I'm just not right if you had
- 32:25examined, my walk. Just for 5 years ago.
- 32:29But I would still look dramatically different, you
- 32:32know, like God. God works fast when he gets his
- 32:35hands on you when you're willing to be an open vessel and let him
- 32:40move you freely. Dude, God's transformation is so
- 32:43powerful and so fast and so mind-bending it.
- 32:51Hey man. You know, I wasn't trying to get
- 32:54right with God back in 2018 to 2019 2018.
- 32:59All I cared about was being best friends of a dude that I work
- 33:03with. That's all I cared about.
- 33:05That's all I was interested in. but God had much bigger plans
- 33:11for him than be my be my friend, his plan for Yes, yes, I know.
- 33:18I know God said, I know you want to be his friend but I'm going
- 33:23to do. I'm going to use them for
- 33:24something much greater than that.
- 33:26I'm going to use him to make you get right with me.
- 33:30It's about time you did and so I would never have told people I
- 33:38would never want to go back. To the way I used to be.
- 33:42When I was trying to be a Christian while still living in
- 33:45sin, living a double life, you can't do it.
- 33:48It doesn't work. And I'll tell anybody, that's
- 33:52trying trying to balance that sitting on the fence.
- 33:57I'm so glad that God knocked me right off the fence.
- 34:01I'm so glad you did because the fence is a bad place to be a
- 34:09double-minded. Man is unstable in all of his
- 34:11ways are cold, but if you're out of his mouth, I know.
- 34:20Absolutely. Hello the servant of the logos.
- 34:23How are you tonight? Let's write all that will matter
- 34:27is God. And what we did for him.
- 34:30Amen. That's so wonderful.
- 34:32Tennessee in there who I might get to meet one day because he
- 34:36probably doesn't live too far from The Buckinghams yet cuz I
- 34:56like your name. Samuel is that means that you're
- 34:59trying to try to look it up. It's just the literal
- 35:09translation from. From German into English, it
- 35:15comes out of spoonhour. Are you doing recon for
- 35:27something that you're like, asking people questions like
- 35:28those you ever relied, you know, that's how I think or how do you
- 35:31do it? So do you mean just from the
- 35:37transition of handing out tracks to then or handing out little by
- 35:41Williston and actually, like going up to people and asking
- 35:45them, like, what specifically are you seeking to talk to you?
- 35:51And you must post it on your, on your right?
- 35:57All right. I'll go check it out but yeah,
- 35:59but yeah, I was curious. What exactly you do or are, you
- 36:01know, what type of this is like the street preaching or what?
- 36:03It's not street preaching. I I have like a video of me,
- 36:08open-air preaching, but it's me going to people and asking them
- 36:13for an interview. And then I, I asked them about
- 36:15their thoughts on the afterlife. I just go through, usually some
- 36:19like basic apologetics and then I go into the law usual.
- 36:24I'll ask them, like, if there is a heaven, do you think you're
- 36:26going to have to go there or if they already believe that,
- 36:29right? I just start with that and go
- 36:31into that and go through the Ten Commandments show.
- 36:34Calling them because they aren't necessarily as good as they
- 36:37think they are. And so then I talk about guys,
- 36:40longitude or God's judgment and why gas logs this and then I
- 36:45give them the gospel. I saw it was just I I don't have
- 36:49that RC car anymore. Actually, it became an idol
- 36:53which is why I got rid of it, but God kind of used it to start
- 36:59me off with like, oh I see someone here, right.
- 37:02This, you know, if you're thinking soberly this person
- 37:07could die at any moment and could end up in hell, right?
- 37:10I don't know where this person stands before God, so I should
- 37:12give him a Bible. And so I just felt convicted
- 37:17more and more to do more and more.
- 37:20And eventually I got the crazy idea to just grab a camcorder
- 37:25and just be like, Ray comfort as so, I started doing it, and I
- 37:30was so excited. My first interview I actually
- 37:33yelled when I came Sorry, it was so natural.
- 37:41Have you put much stock in the studying body language?
- 37:46So body language is one of the things I actually know very well
- 37:51but I have I've learned to ignore it and actually that's on
- 37:57my problem. Socially is I'm, I say I'm
- 38:00socially awkward and my mom's like, no, you're not socially
- 38:02awkward. I I I am I actually ignore
- 38:05purposefully people's body language because I shared the
- 38:09gospel so much and I've seen their faces, like I don't like
- 38:14what you're telling me and so I just ignore it and so, I just
- 38:16keep going. So I I know what they're
- 38:20thinking, and I could say it to them out loud.
- 38:23And sometimes I've said that like, you're thinking this right
- 38:25now, aren't you? Like yeah, I am but I don't
- 38:31know. Maybe I could learn more.
- 38:33I don't know, I don't know, Samuel.
- 38:35I think that you have found your people tonight.
- 38:38I think you have found your tribe because everyone on this
- 38:41panel is socially awkward. Well, I can vouch for that.
- 38:50Amen. Yeah.
- 38:54You know Samuel. You're welcome to be a regular
- 38:58part of this panel. You'd be a wonderful at asset to
- 39:04this group. If you wanted to come on
- 39:05regular. You know anything the more that
- 39:12the more I can issue and we have against the enemy of the better,
- 39:16we are everybody. Let's shame awake for having a
- 39:26life. Come on in here, awake.
- 39:31Samuel when you're having conversations with people who
- 39:34seems to be the most challenging PS from other religion, or
- 39:38non-believers, Usually the ones that I have the most problem
- 39:44with Andre Comfort could attest to this to is anyone over the
- 39:48age of 30 in people, especially if you've been burned by
- 39:53Christians before, I don't always have trouble with people
- 39:57who you are like, especially just Catholic or like slightly.
- 40:02They're usually really open. But I've interviewed even some
- 40:07fairly older people and they just, they don't want to hear
- 40:13it. They've, they've heard it all.
- 40:15They don't want to hear any more necessarily.
- 40:18So it's hard to find soft people who are above 30 and it is, it's
- 40:24sad. But it's true.
- 40:24So I I find Morey's with teenagers, especially they're
- 40:30searching. So they, they want to know more
- 40:33things. Yes.
- 40:36I hope, you know that interview you did with the The teenage
- 40:40girl recently, I was looking at the look in her eyes.
- 40:47And you could tell she was really thinking about what you
- 40:50were telling her. She was really thinking and, you
- 40:54know, that's the kind of thing I want to see, you know, and it's
- 41:00that's the kind of thing that warms my heart to To, to see a
- 41:04young person minister to his generation.
- 41:08Go ahead, go ahead. And this is going to sound bad.
- 41:20I hope nobody takes takes offense to it cuz it's not where
- 41:24my heart is coming from. But like, has God ever put on
- 41:27your heart to ask a particular person for an interview and
- 41:31you're just hoping they don't say yes cuz maybe they just look
- 41:34sketchy or you know like it's a big Burly biker. 8 ft tall and
- 41:38you're like really Well, you know, it's it's so funny.
- 41:43You say that cuz I don't have trouble with people.
- 41:45Especially bikers. I think they're like the
- 41:48sweetest people. And I have trouble with people
- 41:51who are dragons and alcohols and on drugs at that moment, I
- 41:57usually will just ask someone and I know they'll say no.
- 42:00So then I can make them feel bad.
- 42:03Like it's kind of a tactic, but it actually makes them feel bad.
- 42:07So I give them then a little Bible and they're usually
- 42:11willing to take it if they say, yes, I'm like, okay, Lord, let's
- 42:15do it in the last 2 minutes and they they run off, that's
- 42:19usually how it ends up. But yes, I have those moments.
- 42:22I definitely have those moments. Thank you for your honesty.
- 42:26That's very candid. So, can I ask you a question,
- 42:29Samuel? Sure.
- 42:31Go ahead. How would you answer this
- 42:35question? How do you answer a question
- 42:36when someone like myself? Who says they have no knowledge
- 42:39of the Christian God? That one I could either answer
- 42:43philosophically or scientifically or biblically.
- 42:48So it depends upon the person. If I come across an atheist that
- 42:54I have more time to talk to especially like afterwards.
- 42:57Something I need to get better at is just focusing on giving
- 43:01them the gospel and because then God will fix everything after
- 43:05that if there's repetitive of their sins and they put their
- 43:08trust in Jesus, God will reveal everything to them and then
- 43:11slowly help them to understand his word.
- 43:14So, and it even looks like Mormons Jehovah's Witnesses,
- 43:18right? It's just that I'll get caught
- 43:22up in an argument and so I'll talk to him, but I do have that
- 43:25at work a lot. And I have the app like the time
- 43:28to talk to them, I've given the gospel like 20 times, so then I
- 43:32can tell them. But from a philosophical
- 43:36standpoint, I just go through steps from a Biblical
- 43:40standpoint, I could Well you know creation is proof of a of a
- 43:46Creator knows designer, write the heavens declare, the glory
- 43:49of God. And so just like I know one
- 43:52argues that the Model T wasn't engineered and design.
- 43:56You could study it for years. You would never say that nothing
- 43:59created. This is just designed itself,
- 44:02that would be ridiculous. You would say no, someone took
- 44:05time in, in thought into making this and putting it together.
- 44:09So that's usually my, like bass argument on Ray Comfort, will
- 44:14say, you know, there's just like, there's a painter for
- 44:17paintings, or a builder for building.
- 44:19Still do that too. So you can do quick stuff, or if
- 44:22you have time, you can go through long stuff, but I
- 44:25especially try to focus on my gospel.
- 44:27That's, that's way more important.
- 44:31Hey man, we had a very dear friend genze or join.
- 44:38Us looks like he might be away from the camera right now, but
- 44:40I'd love for y'all to get to know each other.
- 44:41My friend Jeremiah I met him and his wife luria at a place called
- 44:49dinosaur, Adventure Land. Are you familiar with that at
- 44:52all Sam? Kent hovind, he's a creation
- 44:59science teacher, and if it weren't for him or I should say
- 45:04God using him, I wouldn't be here.
- 45:05Now, I would not, I wouldn't know.
- 45:09I mean half the people I know. And so I I owe Kent hovind, a
- 45:18lot. I mean, well, I just I'm very
- 45:20grateful that God has used him in the way that he has so that
- 45:24people like me could be reached and cuz when I first started
- 45:29listening to can't, I was an old Earth creationist, you know, I
- 45:32didn't really, I didn't really know much of anything.
- 45:35And I think I started listening to him in 2020 and Ever since
- 45:44that time is just I just basically I couldn't get enough
- 45:48of them. I couldn't get enough of this
- 45:49teaching his videos. I just was like, you know, I
- 45:54became a holy night, but Jeremiah.
- 45:58Get to see you this evening, my friend Hello.
- 46:01How you doing? I'm glad you can join us.
- 46:03We have a I think I did tell you that mr.
- 46:06Spooner was going to be joining us tonight.
- 46:08But do you have any questions for me?
- 46:11I'd like for y'all are almost the same age, you know?
- 46:13I'd like for y'all to get to know each other a little bit.
- 46:17I'm nothing but I'm just sick or Jeremiah.
- 46:22He's also want to make sure I'm so, he's in good company.
- 46:25We are all together. I pride myself on being awkward.
- 46:30So we all succeed. Take me to put you on spot,
- 46:36Jeremiah suck about that. But this is just, you know, when
- 46:41I first started listening to you Samuel, if someone had told me
- 46:46that I would be hosting a YouTube showing that you'd be a
- 46:50guest on it, I would have thought they were crazy.
- 46:52Absolutely crazy. But here it is happening.
- 46:55It's all because of God, it's all because if it's a Baptist
- 47:10Church, I try to stay away from denominations.
- 47:14Because first of all, people get Pushed away by the idea of
- 47:20Baptist fusilli Monroe. So I try to just stay shy of
- 47:25that but just conservative not like hyper-conservative her
- 47:30legalistic. That's one thing that my dad
- 47:32really tries to stay away from is legalism and he's good at it
- 47:37too. So like anyone is welcome at our
- 47:39church. Anybody can you define what you
- 47:42mean by like avoiding legalism? Legalism is the idea that
- 47:48cleanliness is Next to Godliness.
- 47:51And not just your dress, but even your attitude and, and Does
- 48:02just the way that you are and mannerisms and that shows how
- 48:06Godly you are. There are still some Churches,
- 48:10some Baptist churches that will say things like, you know, if
- 48:15you're not baptized at our church, you aren't baptized
- 48:18biblically know, if the women come in, they have to wear a
- 48:27skirt. And it it's it's stuff like that
- 48:30that it, it can push people away.
- 48:33That sure. Like they might be a sincere
- 48:37Christian. You don't know that.
- 48:38So Samuel as something like this little, bit earlier Samuel, but
- 48:50what you said about answering people with the logic of a
- 48:54creation and the painter, the right company thinks this is
- 48:58incredible to use on someone he's asked I think Brian
- 49:01unbeliever. I mean, they have to go through
- 49:03infinite regression. But what do you do when you run
- 49:06into a theist of a completely different religion?
- 49:09You already believe that God or many gods created the universe
- 49:13and then you're dealing with that.
- 49:16So is that specifically to me cuz you also said anybody that
- 49:22would like to have? That is one of the things I find
- 49:26to be a bit of a obstacle or challenge when dealing with
- 49:30folks and I love hearing advice. Well, I don't want to take up
- 49:35all the time. If you have something to do
- 49:44tonight, Sandra sharing the gospel with them and explain to
- 49:57them what makes Christianity true versus these other face and
- 50:03tell him. You know, Christianity is the
- 50:05only state that is Grace based and not workspace.
- 50:09Your good works, don't save you, only Jesus, the blood of Jesus
- 50:14and his grace saves you. You can go, you know?
- 50:18It's just started that and go to start regular call Jack's, I
- 50:22guess. and if anyone else wants to, Well.
- 50:31Remind me a gyro. You're a bit of a theist, aren't
- 50:34you not? Or are you, are you actually
- 50:35believe in Jesus Christ? I'm not sure.
- 50:37Yeah, I believe in Jesus Christ and that is quite a few of, you
- 50:47know, I know Proverbs got no Society.
- 50:49Also do a show and I have people of all different views and ideas
- 50:53come in and atheist for me or easy because I used to be a
- 50:59non-believer. So I know all the arguments are
- 51:01going to bring in. It's like, bam.
- 51:03That's right on the table, easy stuff.
- 51:05But when you get another religious person who believes in
- 51:08several gods or many gods and they believe in a creation,
- 51:12telling them that there's a painter behind it.
- 51:15They're going to say yeah sure. We got a bunch of painters and
- 51:17what do you, how do you face that?
- 51:19I'm any suggestions. You guys could give be great if
- 51:22you don't know an answer to it. I understand that stuff.
- 51:27Well, I mean it's actually a very it's interesting because
- 51:31and I did get his his Blessing ahead of time.
- 51:34But Brett brought up, I think a fantastic question.
- 51:39It's probably easier to convince atheist to believe in God with
- 51:46all the natural signs in your face.
- 51:48Then it is someone who believes in a different God, but is
- 51:51already a thing as one of our good friends, who is a constant
- 51:56on the panel Grace and here he is not a born-again Christian,
- 52:00yet we are working on him. Currently he has a different God
- 52:04that he serves and if you don't mind being in the hot seat
- 52:08Samuel, I don't want to even say hot seat because we all like you
- 52:11but you could kind of test run with Grace.
- 52:15I'm here and see how you would evangelize and maybe he could
- 52:18even give you tips to be like at that wouldn't work.
- 52:24The great sweetheart. I feel great.
- 52:35Just don't tell me what I'm thinking and you and I will get
- 52:36along smoothly, your God exists, and that digest 9, if you
- 52:47believe that, that's fine, just tell me that You're as far as I
- 52:53can cuz I have no particular knowledge of the Christian God
- 52:55but I guess I could be depressed and not know but I don't know
- 53:00that I'm doing that. If I'm doing it I would have to
- 53:02say, you have to be well I believe you would have to be
- 53:07Grayson because you went through Seminary you Pastor to church
- 53:10for five years. You were a born again Christian
- 53:12for 20 years of your life. I would think that knowledge
- 53:16would be somewhere in there suppressed.
- 53:19But I guess if I'm suppressing something, I don't know.
- 53:22It I was at different from my point of view than just simply
- 53:24not knowing it. I wish I had like a magical
- 53:28answer for you. Grayson, that would just make it
- 53:30all snap into place. I'm just a village idiot.
- 53:34God uses sometimes Same here. So, what is it?
- 53:41Exactly? That you believe about your God?
- 53:43Like like what is he like a where'd you get this ideal?
- 53:49I don't have a sun rises in 10 minutes but I will try as fast
- 53:51as I can. I essentially had a personal
- 53:54encounter with a guy and I only use the gods or lightly because
- 53:56I don't believe my God has Omni properties.
- 53:58And despite your creation argument, I don't think God she
- 54:02created the universe. So my I am the only sense that I
- 54:05think she is a goddess that she I guess has decisions over who
- 54:09continues to exist and who does not so and hot.
- 54:12I also believe the ocean and I basically most of it comes down
- 54:15to personal experience. So I had a personal meaningful
- 54:18experience and that led me to believe and events for that
- 54:25course. Not.
- 54:28So why why would you believe something that you can't verify
- 54:32ultimately like why is it worth your time?
- 54:35I had the same experience. So in what town, how do you mean
- 54:43verify? I mean, I mean, something you
- 54:50can not only show others but also something that has been
- 54:54proven over time. So just be like the scientific
- 54:57method, right? You know, something and not only
- 55:01becomes a theory if it's testable, overtime and ages but
- 55:04eventually comes a law in science because it's it's been
- 55:08proven over a hundred years. So it's something that I'm not
- 55:12saying Sciences, perfect. It's not because scientists are
- 55:16not perfect. So we as people we mess up,
- 55:19right? We you probably even know this,
- 55:22that are our own emotions can spray us from what is truly
- 55:27real. And our our intellect is not
- 55:30perfect. So we need to, we need to be
- 55:33humble about it and open-minded and we need to seek for truth
- 55:39and in find a consistent Ray of evidence has.
- 55:45So like the reason that I believe that God The Christian
- 55:49God is true is not just because of philosophy and science, but
- 55:55it's also because of I know that Jesus Christ is risen from the
- 55:59dead. I know that historically that
- 56:01actually happened, so then and he claimed to be that and he
- 56:06also approved the Old Testament and kind of Eden, just encourage
- 56:12people to read it but he said it is his word.
- 56:14So him claiming to be God and him rising from the dead and
- 56:19conquering death itself. Then that's more than enough
- 56:22proof for me. There's also another one is
- 56:25enough proof. Enough proof right about a lot
- 56:28of things that I remember to respond earlier, so I guess you
- 56:33say that you claim. I have no, I will not doubt that
- 56:37Jesus lived and they was crucified, but I guess we'll be
- 56:40used to ask me. How can I prove to me that your
- 56:43system from the dead? So first of all, I read some of
- 56:47the evidence myself there, 10 big historians around that time
- 56:52that written about Jesus. You might know some of them just
- 56:55Josephus was one of them and he just he didn't write about the
- 56:59fact that you rose from the dead, he wrote about him in his
- 57:02life and that he died. And that there were these crazy
- 57:06disciples saying how he had risen from the dead and they
- 57:11ended up dying for it. In fact, the book of Martyrs is
- 57:13actually really big piece of that.
- 57:15Now, you know, that I went to Bible College and then besides
- 57:19the claim that Jesus existed in Las Cruces, by any other claims
- 57:23are known for trees. So I don't know.
- 57:25I just don't think you're going to find an example of Jesus.
- 57:29Anyone saying Jesus rose from the dead, that's not in the
- 57:31Bible or written by Church fathers later on Well, one thing
- 57:36to note is there's a reason that there are four gospels.
- 57:39It's because there are four different people giving
- 57:42different takes. In fact, Jay Warner Wallace is a
- 57:46great person to go to on this and he can, he can actually show
- 57:50you all of the evidence like he knows it by memory and why the
- 57:54Bible is really trustworthy, especially in the gospels and
- 57:59that even if maybe some people change it here.
- 58:02And there we have so many copies of the New Testament 24000 that
- 58:07there's no way one person could have messed it up because it was
- 58:11everywhere. Absolutely, everyone had a copy
- 58:15and so, even if one person came out and said what mine?
- 58:18One mine says this. The other Ten thousand or so
- 58:23people would come out and say, we'll know, that's not true.
- 58:25All of ours say this thing. So it's it's just one of those
- 58:29things that you have to study for yourself.
- 58:31I can't just, you know, pulled out of my pocket, but Jay Warner
- 58:36Wallace is really good to go to Frank Turek as well.
- 58:39And Lee Strobel is another one. In fact, he was an atheist and
- 58:45came to Christ because of the evidence for Jesus's
- 58:48resurrection. It wasn't just the gospel.
- 58:51So personal story is mind-blowing and breathtaking.
- 58:57He was like start atheist. He was Auntie theist and but he
- 59:05was also an investigative reporter.
- 59:08And he investigated and he followed the evidence where it
- 59:13LED and it led to the truth. And you know, even with that was
- 59:21Lee, Strobel, I think one of the main reasons he didn't want you
- 59:27didn't want those things to be true.
- 59:29It was because he wanted to live his life the way he wanted to
- 59:34live it. Most of the time, we will create
- 59:36our own. I, I say we, but in my case, I,
- 59:41I necessarily haven't, but I've seen, I talked to enough people
- 59:44to realize they create their own version of God because it means,
- 59:48well, you get to control how you live.
- 59:52Then I'm not saying that specifically of you, but that
- 59:55might be the very case that it's it's the Zone version.
- 59:59That isn't necessarily judging, won't condemn you to hell.
- 1:00:02And so it's a kind of becomes a fairytale, right?
- 1:00:08It's there's a reason, it's the first sin in the Ten
- 1:00:11Commandments has its idolatry. I have no problem with my
- 1:00:20opinions are human though. I am allowed to have, them are
- 1:00:23meaningless in the face of the true God I'm in, but I guess I
- 1:00:26personally do have a problem, that would be punished.
- 1:00:30I have no problem with that. I believe in Laurel time wall
- 1:00:32realest. However, I don't, you'll never
- 1:00:36convince me, at least. I don't think you could.
- 1:00:38It have to be a spiritual encounter that any human being
- 1:00:41should suffer eternally for temporal, so I think that that
- 1:00:45is not is my bigger than the two biggest thing is that and the
- 1:00:49fact that I never had an experience or encounter with
- 1:00:51Christian God, no matter what I did.
- 1:00:53And it seems like from the scripture that I could keep
- 1:00:56seeking and I did the ring come first thing in for the fake, it
- 1:00:58till you make it, but I never had an experience.
- 1:01:01And so to me I was never certain of the reality of God and so
- 1:01:05without that certainty, everything was just left.
- 1:01:08Right, right? And do you mind if I point this
- 1:01:12out, you say that you give up Liberty to this Goddess that,
- 1:01:17you say you've experienced, but still you give Liberty to the
- 1:01:21billions of people throughout time even before Jesus Christ
- 1:01:25who stated that they had an interaction or experienced with.
- 1:01:28What would be the Christian God also known as the Jewish?
- 1:01:31Got these guys have any credibility because you stated
- 1:01:35that you've only know a handful of people who actually had any
- 1:01:38of your experiences yet billions of actual experience.
- 1:01:42That's what do you what would you say something like that?
- 1:01:45I do have another question for you or I think that you are then
- 1:01:57more justified in believing that thing from a rational stand for
- 1:02:01it, because who could argue more with one's own personal
- 1:02:03experiences than oneself? I mean, so, yes, I think that is
- 1:02:06perfectly reasonable for a Christian.
- 1:02:08You had any experience with the Christian, God could then be
- 1:02:11moved sick after and believe the Christian God.
- 1:02:13That is a reasonable thing to do. the last question I have,
- 1:02:17and I appreciate your very extensive answer on that is I
- 1:02:23didn't ask you this but we spoke for hours and it was lovely
- 1:02:26conversation. I learned a lot from the
- 1:02:28discussion but do you believe that your goddess actually gave
- 1:02:32you some kind of moral philosophy or code the live by?
- 1:02:36That's one of the things that that is great about Christianity
- 1:02:40is that there is actually a moral code and philosophy people
- 1:02:44can live by in order to improve their life.
- 1:02:47Do you feel like you got something like that from the
- 1:02:50scotus? If you would care to elaborate,
- 1:02:56I'd love to hear it. The 50/50 version, like, not the
- 1:03:08whole not the whole book but more than yes, I could give you
- 1:03:12answers individual to individual scenarios.
- 1:03:16But I could not. I don't think that there is a
- 1:03:18blanket statement that doing acts gives you why.
- 1:03:21But I think that given any, any particular encounter there is a
- 1:03:24morally, perfect and a morally correct thing to do.
- 1:03:28Okay, by the way, everybody, Welcome.
- 1:03:30Father. Charles he is with us now.
- 1:03:35Can I see some real quick awake? This mess away.
- 1:03:39Just make a patient. If I agree.
- 1:03:42I agree. I was listening to Brett talk,
- 1:03:45and I was saying, he sounds like, Father, Chuck.
- 1:03:47I know. Maybe I sound like Brett.
- 1:03:53Other that you might want to hit up some hot tea and then I love
- 1:04:02hearing you but you get a little raspy their guy.
- 1:04:04I know I try not to talk too much and no but the father, have
- 1:04:15you been watching since the beginning or did you just come
- 1:04:19late to the party? I was watching a show about
- 1:04:23staying with spoon hours in the background cuz periodically I
- 1:04:32guess I'm kind of weird feedback.
- 1:04:35I'm wondering about the feedback as well, if something maybe like
- 1:04:40breaking up on arm on my end or something just like this.
- 1:04:47Wow. That's weird.
- 1:04:49Okay, no problem. Well, if I hear it I'll just
- 1:04:51meet you. But as soon as you're ready to
- 1:04:53chime in, don't be bashful just stun you in chimen, okay.
- 1:04:56Typically are basically what I wanted to say was respond to
- 1:05:04this point about the morality. Basically what I'm able to
- 1:05:07understand that and you can kind of correct me if I'm wrong.
- 1:05:10But this is what I kind of got from that is Your moral code
- 1:05:15that is God has gave you is whatever you deem to be good or
- 1:05:18not depending on the situation. Like you don't have a book you
- 1:05:23don't have a full set it tomorrow.
- 1:05:26Give me the situation and I can tell you yes or no.
- 1:05:30It's just like, this will give me the decision and I'll tell
- 1:05:37you, whether I think it's good or not.
- 1:05:38I think that everyone has to make moral decisions all the
- 1:05:42time and where they draw upon the foundation.
- 1:05:44I guess different underworld deal.
- 1:05:45But I would, my personal belief is that morality is an
- 1:05:49Undiscovered moral law. Meaning that like any other, our
- 1:05:52natural law that our actions can correspond in the best possible
- 1:05:58way without law or in the worst possible way, which would be
- 1:06:01easy, differential, between good and evil.
- 1:06:02The closer you are to that law, the better your action, the
- 1:06:06further away you are the worst. Hey, Jeremiah just quickly.
- 1:06:12Adam lower had a tip for you. He said, if Jeremiah has Echo
- 1:06:16cancellation on it might cause a glitching sound.
- 1:06:19So something to think about, I believe if you unmute I could
- 1:06:24look at it for you. Yeah, go ahead.
- 1:06:27OK. Google B of A roughness.
- 1:06:33They're do you believe that there's anything that exists in
- 1:06:38the cell universe of the subjectively wrong?
- 1:06:44Yeah. Probably lots of things that are
- 1:06:46objectively wrong and I think that is exactly wrong to own
- 1:06:50another person, but I think there might be scenarios
- 1:06:52running, other person could be justified, they would always be
- 1:06:55wrong. You are the stated that you are,
- 1:06:59you believe that the goddess and her, when she's finalizing, the
- 1:07:03end of a human being, she kind of deletes them.
- 1:07:06Do you feel as though that's morally, right?
- 1:07:09To simply delete people, like the ultimate punishment, for
- 1:07:14those who cannot align with the immortal codes.
- 1:07:17I think that's what he got does, is supposed to attend their
- 1:07:22purview and told us, it's not my say they write it wrong, but I
- 1:07:25don't think the nightly Shazam for any guy be at the Christian
- 1:07:28God or my, God is morally evil because it is not unnecessary
- 1:07:33suffering. And I guess, I don't have a
- 1:07:35problem, forget the suffering, but I have a problem with a
- 1:07:38burning in Hell forever and never getting out for any
- 1:07:41reason, but it's not really anything really happening.
- 1:07:43Accept punishment. It's so it's the the time
- 1:07:47intervals that bothers you, if it was something quick or
- 1:07:51something like annihilationism, you'd be fine with it.
- 1:07:56I don't see a moral problem with Annihilation or no.
- 1:08:03Anybody? Anybody get some opinions on
- 1:08:06that? You from your study in the
- 1:08:12Pasadena Christian came up with the idea that you will burn in
- 1:08:16hell forever, right? Right.
- 1:08:19I think that you can make an argument either way.
- 1:08:21I think it's a stronger argument for Eternal Perdition, but I
- 1:08:24think you and I leash is over, there are passages for the yes.
- 1:08:27So both argument could be justified, I think the Bible
- 1:08:30teaches and is stronger manner that we are to be punished
- 1:08:32forever and ever mostly in the Book of Revelation.
- 1:08:35Yeah, that is real for you or just some that you recognized.
- 1:08:40As as you think might be morally wrong to hold up for me like I
- 1:08:45know, I just simply don't like it.
- 1:08:50Yeah yeah I get it. I get it.
- 1:08:51But you also have the Apostle Billy mind that you could be
- 1:08:54wrong but I could be wrong and maybe you are just burned up and
- 1:08:58I'm saying if something doesn't affect the reality of it so if
- 1:09:05we are to be a lightning strike the scenario, I am wrong.
- 1:09:18But if she say, for instance, I believe I could show you is
- 1:09:22through scripture that in fact, you're not burning in Hell
- 1:09:25forever. Would that help you change your
- 1:09:28mind at all? Or that's not, that's not part
- 1:09:30of that, you know, concept that you're considering about
- 1:09:33Christianity or is it just like, well, I got a lot of other
- 1:09:36things that other problem, so that's just one of them.
- 1:09:39That'll probably I think that if I can truly have been so that it
- 1:09:42would make the job a Bible, more palatable to me.
- 1:09:44However, I don't think at this point without God, reaching out
- 1:09:48and making some sort of change of my heart or I'm having some
- 1:09:52sort of experience with the Christian God that I could
- 1:09:54likely be changed. I don't think I'm going to reach
- 1:09:56the god of the Bible through logic.
- 1:09:58At this point. I don't want to say that because
- 1:10:00I have never heard that. I just want to make this more
- 1:10:05experiential that I need. Yeah, I think I think you're a,
- 1:10:10you're a different case because you were a Christian fact, you
- 1:10:13were a pastor one time. So that means that God actually
- 1:10:15called you and you actually answered for a short time just
- 1:10:19call. So you know, you couldn't say
- 1:10:22well, God hasn't called me because you've already answered
- 1:10:24that call just that you rejected after.
- 1:10:26Whatever reason. So we'll have to work on its own
- 1:10:32you in scripture? How that you don't burn forever.
- 1:10:34See what happens because I already respond again.
- 1:10:45Army. Are you a nihilist forever?
- 1:10:51I didn't see that you would pile be surprised.
- 1:11:00How many Annihilation us there out there got to come on the
- 1:11:03show. Sometime you see long-suffering
- 1:11:10God is love and then he burns people wherever he creates a
- 1:11:19place where sinful people inevitably have to end up
- 1:11:23because they can't be in the presence of the holy God.
- 1:11:25None of that is God's fault. God has no blood on his hands
- 1:11:30for our sin. None of us were coerced by God
- 1:11:35with a gun, to our head to commit.
- 1:11:37Any sin ever? That would be an unjust God.
- 1:11:40We don't serve that God. And I'm sorry, guys.
- 1:11:44I wish because I have a lot of loved ones that died and will
- 1:11:48burn in hell, and I can't do anything about that.
- 1:11:53Well, we don't know that Steve we have to do something.
- 1:11:55We're not got right? So God said he will have mercy
- 1:11:57on whom you can know them by their fruit stump.
- 1:12:00And I knew my family members well enough to know their fruit
- 1:12:04and I wish I wish they didn't have to suffer forever.
- 1:12:10But I'm sorry. What I see from scripture is
- 1:12:13that hell is eternal. Okay, well I guess I have to get
- 1:12:17into that. I'm not I'm not ready to go
- 1:12:18today for sure that we don't look at the Book of Malachi
- 1:12:22ashes under our feet. Howdy howdy body forever.
- 1:12:29You know that's just one little simple thing we don't burn
- 1:12:34forever but God has the right. He has control over everything,
- 1:12:41he does but he wants you to burn forever, you will burn forever.
- 1:12:44If he wants you to be annihilated, you be annihilated,
- 1:12:46you won't have any memory of burning forever so I can about
- 1:12:52his response to well, maybe if we didn't burn forever, that
- 1:12:55would make me more favorable towards the Bible.
- 1:12:57It doesn't matter whether we like certain decisions that God
- 1:13:03would make let's just say theoretically that God is an
- 1:13:07absolute jerk, right? Well, if he says, you know, you
- 1:13:13have to go down to me to get into heaven, let's say, and you
- 1:13:17say, will believe that you even exist.
- 1:13:22So my thing is it doesn't matter what theology exactly you fit
- 1:13:29into as much as what is actually true.
- 1:13:33And if you're going to say well I don't like this guy because of
- 1:13:38what he stands for, that's very different from saying I don't
- 1:13:44think this guy is actually real and I was just say be very
- 1:13:47careful with that moving forward of what is actually like it or
- 1:13:52no. Are they going to hear my
- 1:13:56opinions and not your man? You to create a right?
- 1:14:08But still if you're that you have a brain you got to consider
- 1:14:10things like you know like like like why is it okay for this?
- 1:14:15But not for this. That's that's all he ever has
- 1:14:20the right to your opinion. We believe there is one has
- 1:14:31stayed the same but this one thing changed into it.
- 1:14:36He's he doesn't seem to be at least to be looking for the
- 1:14:42truth as much as I'm looking for something that is going to
- 1:14:45benefit him. Add something that's going to be
- 1:14:48nice for him to want to agree with.
- 1:14:50At least. That's what I'm seeing from it.
- 1:14:52I would say, maybe you can get that from the one comment I
- 1:15:01made. However, if I thought to buy the
- 1:15:03guy, the Christian, the Christian God were true.
- 1:15:05The one thing about me is I always went to believe as many
- 1:15:09as possible as few false things, whatever is in my head, I want
- 1:15:13it to be a true thing in there. Lots of that.
- 1:15:15I just that, I don't believe that to be the Christian God.
- 1:15:17And it's not simply because there are aspects of his nature
- 1:15:20that I find an appealing. It doesn't ring true to me and I
- 1:15:28can't help but I'm convinced self.
- 1:15:30I wish that I could but I think that my life would have been a
- 1:15:32lot better if I would have continued believe in the
- 1:15:36Christian God and continue going on with that bass now.
- 1:15:39But I would have had to maybe easier sections.
- 1:15:42So, Don't believe in it because it's not compelling to me.
- 1:15:50I promise you mind, if I ask you a question.
- 1:15:52Sure. I'm pretty sure that if I were
- 1:15:56to ask anybody in the room, do they believe that Jesus knows
- 1:15:59all of us? Every human being that ever
- 1:16:02existed? When you get to a passage where
- 1:16:04Jesus says, get away from me, I never knew you.
- 1:16:07What do you think that he means by this?
- 1:16:09You never had a personal relationship with him.
- 1:16:12He was never real in your life. You were never obedient to him.
- 1:16:16You never submitted yourself to him.
- 1:16:19That's what he knew by. That's what he meant by new.
- 1:16:23Let me bring up one more thing for you guys to go along with
- 1:16:28what I had just said. Do you believe that those who go
- 1:16:31to hell will be put out of the presence of God?
- 1:16:35Well, that's what he'll is. It's the absence of God at all.
- 1:16:40You do realize that the only way something can exist out of the
- 1:16:44presence of God as if they're nonexistent, right?
- 1:16:47Only applies for a material physical world.
- 1:16:51God is not bound by any of the laws that he created for our
- 1:16:56realm. So I don't think that applies at
- 1:16:58all. Alright, so do you guys believe
- 1:17:02that God is actually observing the people burning?
- 1:17:05Or are they out of his presence where he's no longer
- 1:17:08acknowledging them anymore? I believe it's the latter of the
- 1:17:12two you suggested. All right, what you got up here?
- 1:17:15I seen some passages come up. Wow this is a scripture that I
- 1:17:20think is hard to refute and I'll just go right 4:46 because
- 1:17:27that's the end of the chapter and that's the heart of it.
- 1:17:29He says, these will go away into Eternal punishment but the
- 1:17:33righteous into eternal life. We can't separate the single
- 1:17:38verse. So if we believe how is just
- 1:17:41finite, then Heaven has to be also, but the Bible teaches us
- 1:17:47the opposite Heaven is eternal. It's Paradise on Earth Earth, we
- 1:17:51made. So that's Eternal and this other
- 1:17:55part of the verse 46 goes along with that, we have to accept
- 1:17:58that. Unfortunately, he'll also is an
- 1:18:01eternal punishment. Is death in separate from God,
- 1:18:07Eternal as well. I'm going to be sorry, I haven't
- 1:18:13studied that one stump. I have found at the counter that
- 1:18:17by saying that it's that doesn't know, she said you'll be burning
- 1:18:19forever and says, if you have an eternal punishment, which could
- 1:18:22well be deaf, and navigation to turn on your done.
- 1:18:26Yeah, if I were to take a baseball bat to my expensive
- 1:18:30computer over here and wipe it out, and never plan on building
- 1:18:33at the rebuilding that again, it would be basically eternally
- 1:18:38destroyed. Everyone, the servant of the
- 1:18:44logos has joined us. So everybody say hello.
- 1:18:48Hello. Hello there.
- 1:18:52Hello, can you hear me? Where did Jeremiah?
- 1:19:05Go is getting ready to say. One of our panel is probably
- 1:19:08lives in your area, but he needs.
- 1:19:09He's gone. Did you hear me?
- 1:19:17I did but I'll wait until I have a new new and during the
- 1:19:21conversation. That's okay, I have observed.
- 1:19:28You saying, Shalom multiple times tonight?
- 1:19:31Are you Messianic No, I'm not, but I did learn Hebrew in my
- 1:19:39last year of high school. So, I've learned what it really
- 1:19:43means. It doesn't just mean peace.
- 1:19:46It actually means Serenity. So, like a deeper form, just
- 1:19:51like Joe is a deeper form of happiness, and it's something
- 1:19:54only God can give. So like when you say to someone
- 1:19:57shalom, shalom, you're actually saying that, you want them to
- 1:20:00have this eternal Serenity that you can only have in God's
- 1:20:05presence or as a Christian, in our case, we have shalom.
- 1:20:09Shalom. There's a prophecy that God
- 1:20:11would give the Jews. Shalom, shalom.
- 1:20:12And it's it, it translates is perfect peace, but it's, it's
- 1:20:18ultimately the greatest. Did the Peace that passes all
- 1:20:22understanding. That's what it is.
- 1:20:28Proverbs you mind, if I share one more thing, and if you guys
- 1:20:31want to change topics or whatever, it's all good, like
- 1:20:34your opinion on something tonight, but I don't see, you
- 1:20:41know, Nicole, Ryan. Yeah, go ahead.
- 1:20:45Go ahead. All right, I'll be as quick as
- 1:20:47possible. Psalms 92, 7 build the wicked
- 1:20:51Sprout, like weeds and evildoers Florist, they will be destroyed
- 1:20:55forever, Psalms, 37 20, but the wicked will die.
- 1:21:00They will disappear like smoke. And then Psalms 16 and said for
- 1:21:05the Lord watches over the path of The Godly, but the path that
- 1:21:08leads to destruction. So that's one of the reasons I
- 1:21:14get into the view. I do.
- 1:21:16Okay, thank you. we're going to have to have that show down one
- 1:21:23night, you'll have to come on one of the panels or maybe we'll
- 1:21:26even try it on your show if we're not doing like Explicit
- 1:21:33website information that subject does that subject does require
- 1:21:47an entire night though? I mean, that could really be a
- 1:21:49miniseries. Is it okay if I just say a few
- 1:21:57things about this topic yet? You you say whatever you want,
- 1:22:02Samuel? So I know it's it is not my job.
- 1:22:06First of all to justify God in his ruling that is that is one
- 1:22:11thing that is people like I just it doesn't technically makes
- 1:22:16sense, but if you think it on a philosophical sense just like if
- 1:22:22you were to do a crime or lie to a policeman and he were to find
- 1:22:28out there would be a punishment for you but it would be even
- 1:22:31greater if you did that to the president.
- 1:22:34And that that would be a federal offense so as you go higher up
- 1:22:39in 40 the punishment is greater but imagine not just lying once
- 1:22:45but also blaspheming lusting hatred many times in your
- 1:22:52lifetime against a being that is given you a conscience which is
- 1:22:56a lot written on your heart. So doing a a crime that takes a
- 1:23:02only a second. You still get punished for a
- 1:23:05long time. But imagine doing many many
- 1:23:08crimes over again against an eternal God.
- 1:23:11You do a punishment against an eternal God, you get an eternal
- 1:23:14punishment. So that's just at least how it
- 1:23:18would work philosophically. And that's why I also you have
- 1:23:22any Turtle reward when you put your trust in Christ genuinely
- 1:23:28and you sincerely repent of your sins and and even then when you
- 1:23:33repent and Trust in Christ you don't lose your salvation.
- 1:23:35Jesus said in John chapter 6, he said he that believeth on me
- 1:23:41shall have eternal life and the Greek.
- 1:23:44There is actually present tense. It means literally from that
- 1:23:47moment you have eternal life. So it's it's Samuel.
- 1:23:52Jesus never tells it. The Bible doesn't say that he's
- 1:23:57going to tell someone I used to know you.
- 1:24:00I know I don't bother Chuck. Are you still out there?
- 1:24:06Yeah, Catholic priest. I'm kidding everyone.
- 1:24:11He's Orthodox. He is an orthodox priest semi
- 1:24:15Catholic. You can at least find their
- 1:24:18position for us because, you know, it well enough.
- 1:24:22What if there's a hell, Samuel mentioned the Greek that the
- 1:24:28word is present tense and forward for salvation.
- 1:24:31Or what was that? Samuel Adams?
- 1:24:33I think I'm this quote, I'm sorry I was on the phone after
- 1:24:396. He said he that believes in me
- 1:24:42shall have eternal life. So it's from that instance that
- 1:24:45you have genuine trust in him, then he gives you eternal life.
- 1:24:48Like it's it starts from that instance, when you have genuine
- 1:24:52faith in him, Does anyone want respond to paint Paradise, his
- 1:24:58comment there in the chat? Let me see.
- 1:25:04The various religions are like different roads.
- 1:25:07Converging in the same point. What difference does it make?
- 1:25:11If we follow different routes provided, we arrive at the same
- 1:25:14destination. Yada yada yada yada Gandhi was a
- 1:25:18big fan of Jesus Christ and his teachings.
- 1:25:21It's interesting. You brought him up.
- 1:25:26Can I say something? Yeah, I heard this the other day
- 1:25:34I don't know where I heard it from but you was talking about
- 1:25:37he'll be any turn on the punishment.
- 1:25:41However that's not fair, that could not be looked upon as not
- 1:25:45being fair, but if you think about it, you know the Bible
- 1:25:48says God is love. God loves us but God is love.
- 1:25:52So if you deny God in your life and you rejecting in the hell,
- 1:25:57it's going to be a place with no love.
- 1:26:01Could you imagine living in a place that has no love?
- 1:26:05That hot self is enough punishment.
- 1:26:09Do you know, do you know what to do?
- 1:26:12Whenever it's 4. The very start your brother,
- 1:26:17this conversation. That's a personal thing for me
- 1:26:23right now is evidence for God for me in my own life.
- 1:26:32So, I mean, I promise you. I wouldn't be here.
- 1:26:36We wouldn't be having this. We wouldn't be in this room.
- 1:26:39My channel wouldn't exist. If it hadn't been for what Jesus
- 1:26:44did for me, None of this would be happening at late.
- 1:26:47I mean maybe some of y'all would be pressed a different room, but
- 1:26:51Samuel wouldn't be here. Because I wouldn't be here to
- 1:26:56invite him. And so, is his things like that
- 1:27:00to me personally, just this night right here, is proof as
- 1:27:04evidence. That God exists. and that's all
- 1:27:11anyone else jumping because, Blasphemers with Orrin.
- 1:27:24And where in Leviticus and one of the panelists, maybe a
- 1:27:29couple, but one of them has he's gay.
- 1:27:33Or the way that he said it is he is not completely heterosexual.
- 1:27:38I think he he And I don't want to offend people, but at the
- 1:27:46same time, I have to stand by what I believe the word says,
- 1:27:50that's my ultimate, you know, foundation for everything.
- 1:27:53And What can I make with? Just I I'll just say it.
- 1:27:59I want what I want you to, I want you to become a Christian
- 1:28:02and I want you to find a beautiful woman and make
- 1:28:04beautiful babies that are happy and live a happy life and it
- 1:28:09just blew up. I knew it was going to What,
- 1:28:18what do you recommend? I do in those situations.
- 1:28:24Well, first thing that needs to happen is that person needs to
- 1:28:28get saved. Is it wants to get saved, then
- 1:28:34they need to say, Lord. If there's sand in my life that
- 1:28:39I need to deal with, you show it to me.
- 1:28:43And help me to get it out of my life as they grow and as they as
- 1:28:49they mature, you know, in 2019 when I was first chasing.
- 1:28:56I didn't it wasn't you know that me say okay you're getting out
- 1:29:01of that sin, it was a gradual process for me, it was gradual.
- 1:29:07And it didn't even involved, talking to someone else.
- 1:29:13Who had also live that life and God was pulling him out of it
- 1:29:17too. And it was us and courage in one
- 1:29:20another it was us. I guess affirming, the fact that
- 1:29:25butter firming the fact that God wants us to live a life of a
- 1:29:31holy life and if we have to give up something in exchange and so
- 1:29:35what everybody has to give up something when they come to
- 1:29:38Christ, not to judge those outside.
- 1:29:51But the judge those inside and goes with what you were saying,
- 1:29:54you can't go to somebody who don't understand price and
- 1:29:58bleeding price and say, this is bad.
- 1:30:00This is yeah, they have to have the foundation for Christ
- 1:30:04before. You know, before you can even,
- 1:30:07they can leave him. Have the same worldview.
- 1:30:09Is you I mean, I work with some co-workers, they cuss like
- 1:30:15Sailors, but I mean, I can't tell him.
- 1:30:18I mean, I can't expect them to exhibit christ-like Behavior if
- 1:30:22they're not saved. And the same thing with the guy
- 1:30:25you were talking about p-town. Until the guy gets saved.
- 1:30:32You can't expect him. I believe that was what I laid
- 1:30:38down and that we're all Sinners and I'm a sinner.
- 1:30:48And it's it's God that has changed but we need to change me
- 1:30:53but maybe more Benny and more into the person that he had
- 1:30:59destined for me to be in. And And I tried to lay the
- 1:31:04foundation for him when ultimate, but it's still from
- 1:31:08his perspective, you know, in this what he said, it's like the
- 1:31:12most expensive thing you can say, to me, the simple
- 1:31:14translation is. So you're telling me that my
- 1:31:18innate feelings. I've always had or yeah.
- 1:31:24Will you see a homosexual considers their sexuality to be
- 1:31:31at the very core of their being this book by Christopher Yuan.
- 1:31:37Which I'm in the process of reading.
- 1:31:39Christopher yuan is former homosexual and he has this book
- 1:31:43here and it really struck me. The last three words of chapter
- 1:31:511 of this book. Holy sexuality.
- 1:31:54Are, are you ready or set remind me of the heath Brothers song?
- 1:31:58And then the first, the first word, the first sentence and
- 1:32:03chapter 2 says, this is who I am which, you know why theme song
- 1:32:09Hello. It says those words were spoken
- 1:32:14by Andy one of my classmates say Seminary and another friend
- 1:32:18occasionally debated Bible passages after class just for
- 1:32:21fun. And he was a bright young man
- 1:32:23raised on the mission field and married to a Godly young lady.
- 1:32:26So, I was surprised when I heard that Andy had come out of the
- 1:32:29closet and was no longer living with his wife.
- 1:32:31It had been his secret me, close to him felt blindsided by the
- 1:32:36news. Do you like that?
- 1:32:41I'm probably not a matter is on here, but What is negative?
- 1:32:46I don't know how you well you know, this person to town but
- 1:32:52I'm towards someone like Christopher Yuan or Beckett
- 1:32:57could steal. Those are two YouTubers that are
- 1:33:01former homosexual. Steer your friend towards them
- 1:33:03and let him start listening to them because my friend Jordan
- 1:33:11that was here earlier, he's the one who sent me just a few wants
- 1:33:15autobiography out of a far country.
- 1:33:16And that book helped me tremendously and this but she is
- 1:33:22also helping me tremendously. one of the misconceptions that
- 1:33:27people have about homosexuals is going from gay to straight.
- 1:33:34You don't that's that's putting the cart before the horse.
- 1:33:36You want them to come to Jesus first, right?
- 1:33:39And then ask they grow in the Lord, he will begin to show them
- 1:33:44the Senate's in their life. I didn't even know until this
- 1:33:47year that I had been an idolater.
- 1:33:50Go ahead and show it to. God had to.
- 1:33:54Had to show me that. I made an idol out of a human
- 1:33:56being and he showed it to me by putting that person's face.
- 1:34:01On this thing right here. On a little figurine sure is I'm
- 1:34:06not displayed Ryan, its way it's not generic Circle guy.
- 1:34:18With the ball. You don't see that.
- 1:34:20You don't see the little figurine right now.
- 1:34:21Knows what was the name of those two people?
- 1:34:30I'll get your Freon. You said you want.
- 1:34:33It's he's a he's the son of Chinese immigrants Yuan.
- 1:34:40And Becket cook. Becket cook.
- 1:34:45They're both very active on YouTube and it said, Christopher
- 1:34:49Yuan. Yeah, I think it was hard to
- 1:34:59hear you, but were you saying that you went into a room, you
- 1:35:02were talking taco and then they threw that question that yet how
- 1:35:05you view it. No, I'm I do.
- 1:35:09I'm on orange Rob blasphemers Bible study.
- 1:35:14So I mean, I'm the token Christian.
- 1:35:21So you you probably know just as well as I that if you go on
- 1:35:25there and Roz. So podcast to show her whatever.
- 1:35:27He's got going on. A lot of the atheists and hang
- 1:35:30out with them. They already have a pretty good
- 1:35:32understanding of the do's and don'ts of God doesn't like Oreos
- 1:35:36for do. If you get asked a question like
- 1:35:39that, that's usually A build-up for a setup.
- 1:35:42So you can be screamed at for the next 30 minutes.
- 1:35:44I'm just saying that's, it's usually a setup.
- 1:35:48Oh, I know, I could probably write the atheist Playbook.
- 1:35:53Yeah. What is it?
- 1:35:56Been five months, I've been on that panel.
- 1:35:59Yeah, you've got one down. I wouldn't do it.
- 1:36:05It's it. I'm looking forward to God sake
- 1:36:10in the hooks away from me, but we'll see.
- 1:36:13Maybe somebody else will feel led to join you in there.
- 1:36:17Cuz we have two people to chew a better than one.
- 1:36:21Well, it is a process. I think I kind of chastise the
- 1:36:26group in the last study, because anytime I just say the word
- 1:36:30Jesus instantly everyone jumps on me at about how I'm out of
- 1:36:34context, if you want a Christian, I'm telling, you got
- 1:36:42to let me talk about Christ. I mean so silly, but they claim
- 1:36:51they want Channel balance, you know, Anna was open
- 1:36:56perspectives, but that is clearly not true.
- 1:36:58I'm hoping it was more into that direction though.
- 1:37:02I definitely know the audience. I'm, I'm approaching and I know
- 1:37:06their agenda. Yeah, it's it.
- 1:37:09It's a it's a different kind of fruit in about the Run, balika,
- 1:37:21passion, fruit, Denny's in the chat right now just so you know
- 1:37:28nidhi your message on my channel.
- 1:37:31I've been doing homework today on your stuff that you made a
- 1:37:35mess on your 9 topics. So that is open regarding some
- 1:37:44of your claims. His friends before my suggestion
- 1:37:53would be. If you know that somebody's
- 1:37:55throwing a question that you was going to ignite the room, just
- 1:37:59remember a lot of these folks. They've been doing this for a
- 1:38:02long time and just simply say, oh, why don't you share your
- 1:38:06view your educated in the Bible? You understand, what is commonly
- 1:38:10believed? Why don't you share?
- 1:38:11And we can go from there instead of putting yourself in the
- 1:38:15firing range. Well just the way it's set up.
- 1:38:21Now we go verse by verse, I can talk whenever I want pretty much
- 1:38:26just like everyone else the the the stratagems of of the
- 1:38:31adversary on that panel are so profound mean, orange, whether
- 1:38:35on purpose, or on accident, has blasphemed, in every possible
- 1:38:42Direction, you have the rabbinical Jews playing the word
- 1:38:48with ancient Rabbi scripture like.
- 1:38:52So they're, they're the toughest they spend most the time and in
- 1:38:58the audience doesn't even know that we're not even talking
- 1:39:00about the Bible talking about some, some other dudes nonsense
- 1:39:04that he made up. and then you have just love snakes and death
- 1:39:12just like the Bible describes and he's cool though I think
- 1:39:17he's a funny guy and I want to see him transformed And then the
- 1:39:22rest in a couple of murders Blasphemous.
- 1:39:24And then you have a guy who is pretty much a grad student has
- 1:39:28been going for eight years as an atheist on another Channel and
- 1:39:32and pretty much all the What would it be called, you know?
- 1:39:41Semanario left-wing semanario nonsense and front end.
- 1:39:48And on top of that, he's an atheist, it is blasphemy at its
- 1:39:51finest. And then for some reason you
- 1:39:53have me is definitely not a perfect man.
- 1:39:59Trying to put a defense there sometimes.
- 1:40:03It is pretty amazing though when you sit back and think about it
- 1:40:06I bet a few times you just kind of sat back and took a breath
- 1:40:09and said wow these atheist talk more about God than some
- 1:40:13Churches. I've been to Nidia, I would
- 1:40:18disagree, I believe that the Bible was written, before I
- 1:40:21believed that it was written by God even the Pain by a bunch of
- 1:40:25people and I think it was written for you.
- 1:40:29Now, maybe not not just what some ancient rabbis who played
- 1:40:36it into, being don't forget that Jesus came and reviews them.
- 1:40:39That was part of his is thing like you agree.
- 1:40:48Maybe I can leave if you want to come on.
- 1:40:53Why would I pay for him to come on?
- 1:40:56I think it's full. We're at 10.
- 1:40:58I do and I just want a mini. I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm all of you
- 1:41:19for being here tonight and making this, a fantastic and
- 1:41:22Stellar program. Thank you, everyone.
- 1:41:27Will Ryan. I have to thank mr.
- 1:41:29Proverbs for, you know, throwing up the invites and all that.
- 1:41:33It's really nice meeting. You have met.
- 1:41:34A lot of new people here. Haven't talked to you and you
- 1:41:37all seem pretty cool to me. I'm glad I came.
- 1:41:40Yeah, I am too bright. I am too.
- 1:41:45It's been a real pleasure, praise the Lord.
- 1:41:49Samuel. I'm so honored you just talk to
- 1:42:02me then. I don't know what meal even
- 1:42:04would. But I can leave if you want
- 1:42:07room. Come on.
- 1:42:10I don't think we need the room. I don't think where I can pass.
- 1:42:14Oh, okay, I thought Shane was the I thought Shane was the lip
- 1:42:19myself but you should know more than I do, Proverbs the premium.
- 1:42:27So I think you would hate to be able to but I hope I'm wrong.
- 1:42:33If I have to Send someone out into the audience to make room
- 1:42:40for needy for a short time would anybody volunteer you could send
- 1:42:44me for a bit? That's fine, my partner.
- 1:42:49Well, I think we'll only need I want to go.
- 1:42:52So Grayson, if your loved one is calling, I'll send you out and
- 1:42:57just be in the audience. You're welcome to come right
- 1:42:59back as soon as he exits. Nice, talk to me there.
- 1:43:06Mister, Rex looking forward to talking to you later.
- 1:43:12Yeah, I believe he said he really enjoyed your show the
- 1:43:14other night, but he'll probably be a regular there.
- 1:43:17I'd imagine more. And hopefully God will give me
- 1:43:26the wisdom and intelligence Bell, to say something
- 1:43:29intelligent every once in awhile, but I really like about
- 1:43:32him is that he's always respectful, he's never
- 1:43:35Blasphemous, but she doesn't try to offend us.
- 1:43:38I love that about him. By the way, Proverbs I had a
- 1:43:47last night, I had a bit of inspiration and I made that
- 1:43:52little short and I sent it to just about everybody that you
- 1:43:56would, you be kind enough to upload it and I don't know if I
- 1:43:59know how I mean. I absolutely.
- 1:44:01Yeah. It seems like one minute is like
- 1:44:08the magic threshold because I'm at 58 seconds because Jeremiah
- 1:44:13is little six days of creation lesson was also exactly 1
- 1:44:18minute. And it seems like one minute is
- 1:44:22sort of like the magic figure. So, yeah, I just was inspired.
- 1:44:27I said, you know what, I can make a little illustration and
- 1:44:30that's why I've had people tell me to get rid of that figurine.
- 1:44:33But not if I can use it to make illustrations like that.
- 1:44:36I'm not going to if I can use it in that way.
- 1:44:39Hey, hey, we got Jordan back again.
- 1:44:43Hey guys. Jordan.
- 1:44:46Jordan, we're so glad to see you every time you're able to join
- 1:44:48us because I don't see a real life enough.
- 1:44:54And we still need to, you know, father check is here.
- 1:44:58We need to tell him that one of these days, we're going to go
- 1:45:01both of us together. I got to go to that church.
- 1:45:04That's around the corner from your apartment.
- 1:45:05Yeah, that go to that thing. So, what's the topic of
- 1:45:11conversation right now Ryan? What y'all talkin about, Well,
- 1:45:17this guy down heat, he likes to visit Athens channels which, you
- 1:45:24know, he's got more guts than I do not just atheist.
- 1:45:33Brett Keane in the audience at one time, was the number one
- 1:45:37rated atheist on YouTube. He's now a Believer.
- 1:45:39And now, Aaron Ross, I believe is the number one rated atheist
- 1:45:44on YouTube in. P-town is a member of that
- 1:45:47particular atheist panel. Very brave.
- 1:45:53But yeah, I know I've told you about Samuel, spoonhour, Jordan.
- 1:46:02He walks up to people on the street and puts a camera and
- 1:46:07microphone in their face and talk to them about Jesus and
- 1:46:11that's not something. I've had the guts to do yet and
- 1:46:14it 21 years old, I have nothing but the greatest and able to do
- 1:46:19that and I commend you for doing that and and don't be
- 1:46:26discouraged brother. Just keep going.
- 1:46:28Thank you. I praise the Lord.
- 1:46:30I'm able to do it. It is truly a blessing in an
- 1:46:33hour. At 1.
- 1:46:36Can I throw a grenade into the conversation?
- 1:46:39Go ahead. We need one is about the
- 1:46:41Nephilim. No, it is not although I am
- 1:46:45familiar with that Genesis reference there.
- 1:46:47But what the grenade, I want to throw into the conversation is
- 1:46:53in Ryan. I haven't even told you about
- 1:46:55this. But yo, I have watched this
- 1:46:56documentary that has blown my mind.
- 1:46:58It's called. Have y'all heard of torben
- 1:47:02sondergaard and the last Reformation I have not know
- 1:47:06about heard of it. I can't.
- 1:47:09Y'all have to look it up at this guy started ministry in Denmark
- 1:47:12and Samuel similar to Samuel. He does a lot of Street
- 1:47:17evangelism but the one difference being again, this has
- 1:47:23been kind of a theologically mind-bending.
- 1:47:28For me is that they do often when they proclaim the gospel.
- 1:47:32They often do see demons cast out and they do see healings
- 1:47:38happen and and I'm skeptical of of Summer Stop because there's
- 1:47:44there is a lot of phony stuff out there.
- 1:47:46But if y'all go and watch this documentary, it's an hour and a
- 1:47:49half long and they will approach people in the street they will
- 1:47:53approach people in the street that are incredulous when we
- 1:47:56pray for y'all and they're like, sure whatever it when they just
- 1:47:59stay in Jesus name, you know, ankle be healed.
- 1:48:02The look and they did this work. Eventually, work in Europe, will
- 1:48:05talk about a hard Mission field, you mention Denmark.
- 1:48:09Yeah. So nice.
- 1:48:20You got to Denmark, what do you have?
- 1:48:21Why do you have to Denmark flag there?
- 1:48:22I'll tell you why. If you look over here, are you,
- 1:48:28you can see a model of an Aston Martin.
- 1:48:31Sitting on top of the box, looks like a picnic basket.
- 1:48:34Can you see it? Not really, to be honest.
- 1:48:39Hold on. Oh, there we go.
- 1:48:45I've always had a fascination with Denmark.
- 1:48:48They are the heck, this is a Lego car.
- 1:48:52Lego is based in Denmark. This is a Bang & Olufsen,
- 1:48:56Bluetooth speaker, Bang & Olufsen is another Danish
- 1:49:00company. That's why I support that he has
- 1:49:10joined us, even comments before. Are you a theist or an atheist?
- 1:49:19You want me to give him an introduction.
- 1:49:25Some Nitty. Nitty is a nice guy.
- 1:49:27He was a Christian for a long time, if I was to psychoanalyze
- 1:49:39Mitty, he likes. He loves community and I think
- 1:49:44he was very involved with the church when he was a Christian
- 1:49:47for quite some time and now he's, it is community is amongst
- 1:49:53the atheist and I have no reservations and saying I wish I
- 1:49:59want to bring him back into our court, a man, but here's nidhi.
- 1:50:03That's his that's his thing he does on the show.
- 1:50:11Yes, that's generally how it goes.
- 1:50:16So yeah, I'm a nonbeliever. Are you guys tonight?
- 1:50:21You sound like you doing? All right.
- 1:50:22Good man. That you once belong to.
- 1:50:30Oh yeah, I guess like a it was a non-denominational thingy but it
- 1:50:36was promised and it wasn't Okay, you guys are in the independent
- 1:50:47church and the atheist community.
- 1:50:50No no, no. But I was part of, okay, and
- 1:50:56your personal experience. I see what you mean yet?
- 1:50:59So I took a what was it called? Like so the church I was a part
- 1:51:06of had like leadership training classes or whatever and we took
- 1:51:11like a like a high-level overview class like church
- 1:51:16history and then a study of like the different leadership
- 1:51:21structures within like churches and what would care how he would
- 1:51:26characterize? What a Biblical Church would be.
- 1:51:28And so, we looked at a little bit of like the papacy and Papal
- 1:51:33succession, we looked at how like church governing bodies
- 1:51:38work like the Presbyterian, how things are done by like more of
- 1:51:42a committee house smaller churches, usually have some type
- 1:51:45of eldership that and they might cast like some kind of
- 1:51:49congregational vote, but Don't generally lean to the what, like
- 1:51:54the what the elders feel like the spirit is doing.
- 1:51:56So yeah, there you go. They are, your family, is your
- 1:52:03family still believing? Or are you the the black sheep
- 1:52:07now? I'm mostly a black sheep for my
- 1:52:11immediate family. My kids don't know what the hell
- 1:52:14to think. So I have to say I'm your wife,
- 1:52:18your wife for Christmas or thank you.
- 1:52:21I usually try to be nice or face-to-face.
- 1:52:25My comments sometimes in comments I can get fussy.
- 1:52:31It depends on what you said. P-town had a comment for you but
- 1:52:35also stump which I guess left the panel.
- 1:52:44Well okay, let me correct that. If you, if you want my life
- 1:52:47story I'll give it to you but that it was like we were called
- 1:52:50I would have called myself when I was a Christian I would have
- 1:52:54called my young self up for Easter.
- 1:52:55That's when you go on Christmas and Easter eggs about it.
- 1:52:59Okay. Yeah just for the big Services.
- 1:53:02Basically you go take attendance twice a year.
- 1:53:04What b y mean at my parents will, right?
- 1:53:08It's not like I want to go to bed or did you guys go to I did
- 1:53:15once but then the rest of the time it was like let's go to
- 1:53:18this Friends Church over here or you know whatever Aunt Tina's
- 1:53:23doing whatever. So is it fair to say?
- 1:53:26Your parents aren't maybe like the most grounded in the faith
- 1:53:30or are they taking out my my biological parents, that's how I
- 1:53:37refer to them. Is not a My Mother Does go to a
- 1:53:44Look up. Protestant Baptist.
- 1:53:50I don't I'm not quite sure. It's Baptist ish.
- 1:53:54Church. Protestant.
- 1:53:56Yeah. Well yeah.
- 1:54:01And then my wife still goes to my former church and sometimes
- 1:54:06the kids go sometimes they don't but that's not because of me.
- 1:54:10Did you say? You did.
- 1:54:18Yeah, but I don't know if anyone here would consider them for
- 1:54:22founder, miraculous, if you don't mind sharing wheel of a
- 1:54:26good testimony. Sure, I guess like.
- 1:54:33My first like positive or like experience that I would
- 1:54:39characterize, as spiritual was, it was not too long after I had
- 1:54:45proclaimed Christ or whatever. That I felt like I should do a
- 1:54:53particular thing. I should stop a particular
- 1:54:55habit. That was not good for me.
- 1:54:58Inside was able to, for a very, very long time and I still don't
- 1:55:03do what I used to do in that for that particular think I prefer
- 1:55:07not to say because it's kind of like a weird, weird topic, it's
- 1:55:12not sexual. So we all have personal stuff
- 1:55:18and then like the second thing was like this going to the
- 1:55:27beach? It was like a type deal and
- 1:55:33feeling like this certain calmness in the ocean, despite
- 1:55:38it like it was my first time ever to the ocean.
- 1:55:41I didn't hear any voices or anything it, but it's definitely
- 1:55:45felt like different from other like, calmer spirituals sure.
- 1:55:50Yeah. And then, every once in awhile
- 1:55:54in a great great while I would feel really excited like beyond
- 1:56:02my normal excitement level, which is usually, pretty high to
- 1:56:06teach the Bible to my friends or when I was trying to talk about
- 1:56:11like the gospel with somebody. That's it.
- 1:56:16I didn't like he'll people or she like that now, but I mean,
- 1:56:20you did have personal experiences.
- 1:56:22Did you not find those experiences to be credible
- 1:56:25enough to believe in God? I mean, if you have the
- 1:56:28experience as I guess, my question is, what led you away
- 1:56:31from the Fate? Sure.
- 1:56:33Well, I mean that's like, So I don't think personal experiences
- 1:56:40are good enough evidence to believe in any really any
- 1:56:44religion. Seriously zero sense of personal
- 1:56:51experience doesn't count. Do you believe the universe
- 1:56:56exists? No, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:57:01okay, okay. Okay.
- 1:57:02It needs a very big qualifier, right?
- 1:57:05The qualifier is personal, religious experiences are not
- 1:57:10good enough to believe in any type, any particular religion
- 1:57:13phenomenalism but if you're going to try and hit me with
- 1:57:18like series is solecism in stuff, I mean that's like let's
- 1:57:23talk about the hard problem of Consciousness who who did not
- 1:57:26pay grade right now, you want to do that.
- 1:57:28I'm trying to greet. I'm trying to agree with you
- 1:57:30actually Maddie Besides any religion comment, but sure, I
- 1:57:38think that a personal experience is not sufficient.
- 1:57:41I think Dad, the Bible is clear that we have a more, sure word.
- 1:57:46That that's supposed to be a combination.
- 1:57:49I can't actually have had a couple personal experiences that
- 1:57:55I think are quite profound. But yeah, I don't think I can
- 1:58:01put them in spirit and in truth truth is the biblical Foundation
- 1:58:10that keeps us grounded. Amen.
- 1:58:12But there is an aspect of spiritualism that we are
- 1:58:16supposed to to obtain. We're supposed to live in spirit
- 1:58:20and Truth, their personal experiences are absolutely valid
- 1:58:24for confirming an existence of at least a God does that have to
- 1:58:30automatically point to a Christian?
- 1:58:32Got no key to that, but absolutely personal experience
- 1:58:37counts for the spirit portion of spirit.
- 1:58:38And Truth is out the window. And I think I'm saying that I
- 1:58:48have something even better than a personal experience.
- 1:58:53I agree that the scriptures better.
- 1:59:00If you like having a religious experience and it's something
- 1:59:05that you can't deny. It would be like if I
- 1:59:07experienced a toothbrush behind the door and I shut the door.
- 1:59:13I know it's there. If I experience with fire.
- 1:59:18My mother's different ways to interpret it.
- 1:59:21But of course, she sounded like the first thing you mentioned
- 1:59:30that you did have a powerful experience, you have an obstacle
- 1:59:34in your life, you weren't clear on what that was but apparently
- 1:59:37according to you was bothering you and do to your face and your
- 1:59:41belief, you are able to deal with it and take on the
- 1:59:45challenge to me. That's a extraordinary
- 1:59:48experience. I mean, I have a way to account
- 1:59:54for it, but whether you guys would like that or not is
- 1:59:58another question, Do you have a, you have a way to account for
- 2:00:02your personal experience that first one?
- 2:00:04Yeah, of course. You were heavily medicated, no
- 2:00:08medication whatsoever. All right.
- 2:00:10Please define it. It was like, basically something
- 2:00:16akin to cognitive behavioral therapy.
- 2:00:18So, you know, looking at ways to create correct, the behavior
- 2:00:25through the beliefs about myself and journaling through that, and
- 2:00:30correcting, the false beliefs. I had about myself with what
- 2:00:33was, what I could perceive as a real about my, I'll just say, I
- 2:00:39was intensely anorexic. I had a very unhealthy obsession
- 2:00:44with my body and my way I was somehow much thinner than I am
- 2:00:49now, so, don't don't imagine that.
- 2:00:51And so I basically performed the early steps and like a very
- 2:01:00Amative form of cognitive behavioral therapy with myself.
- 2:01:06When you say that, are you referring to say, like trans has
- 2:01:09no. That is not what that is.
- 2:01:13The general premise of CBT and it's used by professional
- 2:01:23psychologist and therapist all the time.
- 2:01:27Like, this is a safe or good, just put it to be fair.
- 2:01:31It has theirs. So it is not that much different
- 2:01:36then affirming identity, truth to yourself in the New
- 2:01:41Testament. Like, if you read something that
- 2:01:43says, I am a part of the body of Christ, but you feel like you've
- 2:01:47been very distant from your friends or your community, but
- 2:01:51then you read that truth and you remind yourself up and you're
- 2:01:55going to feel and experience something different and it's
- 2:01:58going to motivate you to act differently.
- 2:02:00That's exactly what cognitive behavioral therapy is.
- 2:02:03It just doesn't have to do with the Bible.
- 2:02:06Well maybe you are that when you were first talking about your
- 2:02:10experience, you said that I thought you did.
- 2:02:12I can see that you felt that it came from Christianity or the
- 2:02:16concept of God. Now I have family members as
- 2:02:19well as friends that have suffered from anorexia and it
- 2:02:24can kill you, it can make you absolutely sick and destroy your
- 2:02:28life. So if you were able to get
- 2:02:31through some of that and take it on as a challenge, be able to
- 2:02:35mentally will yourself to do that.
- 2:02:36I will have to write that up as extraordinary.
- 2:02:41I think, how did you relate it to God at the time?
- 2:02:47yeah, I mean At first, like I think it just kind of got to a
- 2:02:55point where I could feel the unhealthiness of it and it I
- 2:03:01don't know, it was kind of like a mixed bag, like I thought
- 2:03:03maybe it was God or maybe I just was like just so tired of
- 2:03:10wearing my so. So God damn much that I just
- 2:03:12sorry, thinking of that. I was 228 lb this morning and
- 2:03:20I've lost 30 lb I can't believe I hit the two twenties.
- 2:03:24I'm 63 though, I'm not a giant. Sorry.
- 2:03:27Go ahead. May be pretty healthy if you do
- 2:03:31any kind of him to 228 now, I'm still still too big tomorrow.
- 2:03:46I am 63. I don't look 63 to you.
- 2:03:48I had to guess I haven't seen pictures of you standing.
- 2:03:52I mean, I don't know. What habits of me, Steven and
- 2:04:00Christian pipe. And I'm right next to Steve and
- 2:04:03I look like a little boy, and if you don't mind me asking, and if
- 2:04:10it's too personal, you can just say past.
- 2:04:12But what do you think? Do you have a theory or an
- 2:04:15opinion on why it is that you got into that state in the first
- 2:04:18place of anorexia? Oh, yeah, and I wouldn't have
- 2:04:22said it was demonic per say if that is if that's where you want
- 2:04:27to kind of go with it, no, I wouldn't.
- 2:04:32Part of it was in my teenage years, I wanted something to
- 2:04:35control because I felt like my life was generally out of
- 2:04:40control. So, that's something I kind of
- 2:04:44laughs on to us. Like what what's something that
- 2:04:49you can't can affect more than your own body, right?
- 2:04:52It's pretty clear. It's going to be pretty high up
- 2:04:55there on your list, right? It's similar to maybe you want
- 2:04:59how some people get onto drugs, it's some kind of escape from
- 2:05:04the pain and frustration of something that you're dealing
- 2:05:07with and it's something that you can administer as much as you'd
- 2:05:10like to yourself as long as you have access.
- 2:05:12So, similarly, exercise or the kind of what's the word I'm
- 2:05:20looking for like a dopamine rush to see a different like number
- 2:05:26or product progress to some insane.
- 2:05:30But you have towards your body. So yeah, that that's what I
- 2:05:34would say is why it's more succinctly answer.
- 2:05:37The question. Why is?
- 2:05:38Because I reached for something to control in my life when I
- 2:05:43felt like I was young and things are out of control, just like my
- 2:05:47family and stuff. And so that was the thing to
- 2:05:50grab onto and I would you say things are now do you feel like
- 2:05:55you have Benny obstacles with wanting to control things or are
- 2:05:59you just going to Live and Let Die type of thing?
- 2:06:03No. I'm I'm I'm generally I mean I'm
- 2:06:06substantially like free from thinking about that but I think
- 2:06:12in general I just kind of go with the flow now.
- 2:06:14I don't I don't worry about too much for trying to like Drive a
- 2:06:20particular course for my life or something or use people or money
- 2:06:24or things to achieve this thing, I'm barrel down on.
- 2:06:29I don't even know what that that would be.
- 2:06:33Maybe I missed something but nidhi.
- 2:06:35How did you relate this experience at the time?
- 2:06:41To it being evidence for God, know I was already convinced
- 2:06:47that God exists and then I felt like that was an additional
- 2:06:50thing that at the moment like maybe God is helping me with
- 2:06:55this, maybe that that's where the motivation is coming from
- 2:06:58when I think it could just as much be like I'm just sick of
- 2:07:02this. Now that you reflect on it.
- 2:07:05So you it's hard for you to like it's hard for me to separate
- 2:07:09which one it could be right at this point.
- 2:07:11But at that time and I'm just trying to figure out what well,
- 2:07:19I mean, I'm sorry I didn't mean her up at 5 met and even in
- 2:07:24person he's 63 You're six foot three problems.
- 2:07:35Yes sir goodness gracious. I'm 65.
- 2:07:39If you and I were to walk around people, think we are parallel
- 2:07:41keys. Are you?
- 2:07:43Or you might, you might be Nephilim for all.
- 2:07:47I know we were all wearing some big boys.
- 2:07:51I watch scary round something soon.
- 2:08:01I get any bigger some miracle. That Brett Sheen's daughter,
- 2:08:11ever dated, I would rather you take a look at some of my old
- 2:08:18videos where I'm in the park with my kids and you'll see me
- 2:08:20standing next to a slide lot of people.
- 2:08:23Notice that they go my good, this man has had a little kids
- 2:08:25slide and I said no. That's a normal sized slide
- 2:08:28right now. I had no idea about that Brett.
- 2:08:36That's crazy. Yeah, I I had no idea you were
- 2:08:38that tall. Are you familiar with?
- 2:08:41Brett Neddy? I seen his channel.
- 2:08:43What happened to channel? It's still there.
- 2:08:48When it did go down for a little bit, but it is back up here
- 2:08:53until YouTube decided that they were being mean to me for no
- 2:08:56reason. Yeah, I think you popped on my
- 2:09:03Channel Once. Wong, double x.
- 2:09:10So what did he do? You want me to my share of
- 2:09:13experience? I had last year?
- 2:09:15Did I already share my experience?
- 2:09:21Go ahead, p-town. Well, it would take a really
- 2:09:27long time to talk about all of it, but since you brought up a
- 2:09:32medical condition, One of, you know, part of the experience
- 2:09:40that I had. I I came to this Christian
- 2:09:43retreat thing. I've never been to one bunch of
- 2:09:46dudes, go out and drink my way. There's a process involved to
- 2:09:49confess all your sins amongst Brothers.
- 2:09:52I'm assuming there's other camps or whatever after that are
- 2:09:56similar. I don't know, but I get there
- 2:09:58and I'm just mad. I'm upset because I am I feel
- 2:10:04like I'm putting myself too high on a pedestal of the time.
- 2:10:06I'm like I don't even know why I'm here with these Renegades.
- 2:10:09Like I could be like I never take a vacation and one of them
- 2:10:15is hike I don't go hunting and fishing like I want to and yet
- 2:10:18here I am in the woods doing I'm pissed and long story short.
- 2:10:23There's a moment when I'm journaling, and And God tells me
- 2:10:33and I don't know if he tells me this, but he he says that he
- 2:10:38town. Like I didn't make you to be
- 2:10:39happy to something with me. Is my eye come from?
- 2:10:44Three generations of. People who committed suicide
- 2:10:48before me. I look just like my grandma.
- 2:10:52For example, I got you, so I struggle with depression, my
- 2:10:59great-grandmother my grandma, but my mom's, You know, I try to
- 2:11:08do it four times from me. And then just my personality is
- 2:11:14I don't have me Suicidal Thoughts because I have a lot of
- 2:11:18other attributes. But The.
- 2:11:23These long periods of time when you is probably worse than the
- 2:11:28world when you're just depressed for no reason.
- 2:11:30It's not like situation is just so I'm at this review and I I
- 2:11:38don't want to fake a smile, that's the worst thing in the
- 2:11:40world. Anyway, got told me I didn't
- 2:11:44make you have it in and it's shity said this.
- 2:11:48To me, instantly. It was like It went, it went
- 2:11:53like eyes are smiling. And what was the content of the
- 2:12:06vision? Are you don't want to say?
- 2:12:07I'll tell you because now it could actually make sense kind
- 2:12:11of now before I started talking to atheist and going out on
- 2:12:16online. But I'm in the woods, I'm
- 2:12:21throwing Rock, I'm pissed in my car.
- 2:12:23If I'm going to be here, I'm going to do this guy cuz I'm mad
- 2:12:25and a jump, a deer throwing rocks at Chase the deer and I'm
- 2:12:33just fighting, God out here. Okay, the stupidest thing
- 2:12:37because if you, I am not charismatic and I'm looking for
- 2:12:42Spiritual like Epiphany because I think this is the old atheist
- 2:12:48any problems. But like I'm just Once I get
- 2:12:57done chasing the deer and I get this.
- 2:13:00Now, when I say Vision, I'm very well aware that there's no
- 2:13:05mountain lion, but it's also, I'm very well aware that this
- 2:13:09stupid mountain lion in my head. That I'm seeing with my mind's
- 2:13:13eye is just there because before I see it, I get terrified to
- 2:13:20sense of feel like something's behind me about to jump out and
- 2:13:24get me, okay? And I'm thinking mountain lion,
- 2:13:27I've had encounters with them. When I was hunting me some K.
- 2:13:30So there's a little bit. You have a category for this
- 2:13:34kind of thing and then I turn around and boom, there's a big
- 2:13:39male mountain lion in my mind's. Eye facing me down, okay?
- 2:13:44And I'm still fighting God, cuz I'm pissed off.
- 2:13:47Why am I here wasting my time? Doing this stupid Charismatic
- 2:13:52Christian nonsense. Right.
- 2:13:54When I got it it was going to say that you should smile.
- 2:13:56You should smile like it's so stupid.
- 2:13:59I'm telling you that everyone like I just walk around like
- 2:14:07it's normal. Like I'm just I'm just living my
- 2:14:09life like it's I don't want to fake a smile.
- 2:14:12So you have a great face and you know what I mean?
- 2:14:20I bet anyway. So because I go through long
- 2:14:23periods like that or I used to and Anyway I see this business
- 2:14:29and I'm saying because I'm fighting.
- 2:14:32I might attack me, let's go, let's just in my mind, okay, I
- 2:14:38get it, I'm not mad at you. I can finish this whole where I
- 2:14:42can't get this imaginary mountain lion to attack.
- 2:14:45Me, it wasn't until like six months later.
- 2:14:50Bye for where I'm like, oh I'm literally now.
- 2:14:58Hangout with atheists. and the and some one of the, I can't pin
- 2:15:04it down, but I honestly think that if there is naturally that
- 2:15:07I have, don't think I'm special is that Doesn't they don't
- 2:15:13attack me as much or I'm or, I don't know how I can be in.
- 2:15:18The Lion's Den in essence. I would like to get Samuel in
- 2:15:25the YouTube channel where you go out and you interview, random
- 2:15:34people much like the ring Comfort style.
- 2:15:37You have a little bit of knowledge on nitty now and a
- 2:15:41little bit of knowledge on his name is Grayson but you'll
- 2:15:44probably see him as Rex, right below.
- 2:15:46You. And his his belief, with his
- 2:15:49God, how would you address these gentlemen on the road in an
- 2:15:53interview? Well personally, I have come
- 2:15:58across both instances and especially when I'm out, my job
- 2:16:05is to share the gospel and God even command side of us to to
- 2:16:10share the gospel. So it's not that I wouldn't go
- 2:16:14over some apologetics it's that I am mainly try to emphasize the
- 2:16:21person repenting and trusting Christ and my ultimate reasoning
- 2:16:26personally is because I I care about everyone, I would never
- 2:16:29want to see anyone end up in hell and be judged by God and
- 2:16:33even remember your different takes on.
- 2:16:36Hell that ultimately doesn't matter because God is a God of
- 2:16:40Justice. And he's a holy God, he has to
- 2:16:43be separate from send. So, even if it's a torment of
- 2:16:47the mind or destruction, you know, that's something that you
- 2:16:50still don't want to happen, you know.
- 2:16:53You would have to hate someone for you to want that to happen.
- 2:16:56A person. So my main goal is planning that
- 2:17:00seat of the gospel and Paul says in Romans that the gospel is the
- 2:17:05power in the salvation. And who is Romans 1 16 and 17.
- 2:17:09I don't know if it was you or earlier that it said this but I
- 2:17:15think it was you you had said that you believe that there's
- 2:17:17some people out there who suppress their belief in God,
- 2:17:20that they actually do believe, but they suppress it was that
- 2:17:25you and if not, you can correct me on that.
- 2:17:27The city of you on that. I don't know if I personally
- 2:17:31said that, but it is true that people are technically, everyone
- 2:17:36knows inherently that. There is a God and I realize
- 2:17:39people disagree with me when I say that, but it's okay, but I
- 2:17:44guess because especially the fact that we have a conscience,
- 2:17:48right? I'll mention that and people
- 2:17:49like yeah, I know the conscious is Right, everyone knows that
- 2:17:52and people can try to explain But it, it's so interesting how
- 2:17:58it lines up with the Ten Commandments.
- 2:17:59Ray Comfort pointed this out. One time to an atheist and he's
- 2:18:02like, oh yeah, you're right. It kind of does.
- 2:18:05Yeah. And when I go through the law of
- 2:18:08the Ten Commandments, I I end up getting the person to realize
- 2:18:14and they they tend to justify themselves which is a sign that
- 2:18:20they still think they're good person.
- 2:18:22So I I keep going, I'm trying to get people to realize.
- 2:18:27They, they aren't good. Naturally inherently and we are,
- 2:18:31we are wide. And so then we we have broken
- 2:18:35this. This law that is inside of us,
- 2:18:38is Jordan Peterson. Said, it's literally the law of
- 2:18:41the universe that God is has at into time, and when we break it,
- 2:18:46there are other consequences for that.
- 2:18:48So I do still go over apologetic sometimes and just basic stuff.
- 2:18:56Work. I have more of these
- 2:18:57conversations and I've been able to practice them.
- 2:19:01So, like, what do you do for work?
- 2:19:04I work at a cheese factory but the people there are they not
- 2:19:09only well, at least. They used to pick on me a lot,
- 2:19:11but very stubborn. Oh your Wisconsin.
- 2:19:21Oh my goodness, you are really lucky that.
- 2:19:26You can have those kinds of conversations at work.
- 2:19:28Not just because like you know the corporate world is woke or
- 2:19:34something but like Yes, but like your input, there are like
- 2:19:39menial, not to denigrate like what you do or anything.
- 2:19:42But there are menial jobs roof, like, you're working there and
- 2:19:45some of us like, shut the f up. Like, then that's that'll be the
- 2:19:50end of it. Cuz if the management doesn't
- 2:19:51want you to make other workers and comfortable, then it's just
- 2:19:54over, right? And it's not because they're not
- 2:19:56Christian themselves. It's just because they might
- 2:20:00think that time and place is right.
- 2:20:01Right. Exactly.
- 2:20:03Hey, if that's if you're able to talk to people in the receptive
- 2:20:07talking about it, I mean go for it supposed to say, oh yeah, I
- 2:20:15believe I'm going to heaven because I'm a good person or are
- 2:20:26you a good person? Stolen.
- 2:20:38I'm a wicked sinner but I've been saved by God's grace and
- 2:20:42he's changed me for the better. I even with my take on or this
- 2:20:47is my take on the personal experience thing.
- 2:20:49It's not that I don't take those into account, it's that I just
- 2:20:55try to focus on what the Bible ultimately says, and I try to
- 2:20:59seek the evidence and things and I've been, I've seen the
- 2:21:04evidence for myself. So it I've had also issues with
- 2:21:10personal experience before that weren't biblical at all and
- 2:21:15ended up causing me problems. And so I I just tried to.
- 2:21:19As Paul says the stern discern, the spirits and even Jesus said
- 2:21:25that Satan is the God of this world and he will try to deceive
- 2:21:28you in any way he can. I mean, for goodness sakes,
- 2:21:31there's a reason that the the Mormons have changed their names
- 2:21:35to the LDS. It's and the reason their
- 2:21:38commercials don't talk about what they really believe.
- 2:21:41It's the the best way to get people into it.
- 2:21:45You make it look nice and fluffy and sugary put put the cherry on
- 2:21:49top, on the outside, but then on the inside, it's a cult.
- 2:21:53They presented this to another denomination and it's such a
- 2:22:00blessing because ever since I first started watching your
- 2:22:03videos, I don't know how long until six months ago, nine
- 2:22:06months ago, I had wanted to meet you and tonight it's like, I'm
- 2:22:10virtually meaning you and so that's good enough.
- 2:22:12If you guys could when you get an opportunity, put your YouTube
- 2:22:18channel link sense of the private chat.
- 2:22:20So I can click on you, subscribe to, and harass, you on a daily
- 2:22:23basis, Samuel. I got a question for you as well
- 2:22:26as many if you don't mind Samuel, do you find it?
- 2:22:29More challenging? Having discussions with people
- 2:22:32were skeptical doing the right comfort thing or do we Online
- 2:22:38stuff in the question for nydia's.
- 2:22:40Maybe you know, just as well as hi.
- 2:22:42There's people out there that they tend to have similar
- 2:22:45experiences and will inevitably run into people like this in our
- 2:22:49lives. If you ever have that a young
- 2:22:52girl or man coming to your show and they say that they suffer
- 2:22:56from anorexia, but due to their Christian beliefs that help them
- 2:23:00work their way through it. What would you say to them as a
- 2:23:04non-believer now? So I'll handle that one first, I
- 2:23:08hope Sam you, you caught your first question, but I would say
- 2:23:11to them if this is something that you believe is really
- 2:23:17helping you succeed past This well basically like mint
- 2:23:25physical and mental condition, stay with it.
- 2:23:28I think that's a great answer Samuel where you able to hear my
- 2:23:32question hardly. I I think you should probably
- 2:23:38say it again. Let me break it down.
- 2:23:40Since I've been in the bed, I apologize.
- 2:23:42Do you find it easier to converse with people online as
- 2:23:46opposed to going out of meeting them.
- 2:23:48They hear your tone are, they can see your facial expressions.
- 2:23:56It's just so difficult even especially over texting.
- 2:24:01I've learned that with the stalking family and trying to
- 2:24:04get across my point, but yeah, online it's so difficult you
- 2:24:09could say something so sarcastic and mean it.
- 2:24:12Well, but it come across is just utterly rude.
- 2:24:15So it's it's much easier to talk to people up front but it is
- 2:24:20nice that with you too. But I can share people Links of
- 2:24:23videos and, and take them to some of the people that I watch
- 2:24:27and listen to And I hate to be that guy to end like this but I
- 2:24:33actually have to get going to appreciate that.
- 2:24:41Thank you so much. You got to set up a like a tag
- 2:24:46for yourself cuz you're just like, you're still the like, The
- 2:24:51like letters and numbers and stuff.
- 2:24:53So give yourself like a at handle or whatever in your
- 2:24:56settings and then people find you more easily.
- 2:24:59Oh yes I know it's at the gospel call so I need 20 at Aptoide.
- 2:25:05Get you the euro thing I see you're saying and let's try it
- 2:25:15in the YouTube url. I saw Samuel, make sure you
- 2:25:19subscribe to this channel but also Ryan's because typically
- 2:25:23when we do our big panels and atheist, come on to challenge us
- 2:25:27when we challenge them, We will get the notice nice to meet you.
- 2:25:37You brought a lot of wisdom to be his house.
- 2:25:39Very good. I subscribed to you ever, you
- 2:25:52ever want to give it a shot with my atheist friends, like midi,
- 2:25:57then come to my channel when I have something for me and I was
- 2:26:06like, oh my God, I was. So I was so tired and I got you.
- 2:26:15He's got the beginning of the chapter.
- 2:26:22In place of goodbye, also. What you say?
- 2:26:29Shalom in place of good-byes, Willis.
- 2:26:31Hello Sort of like a little hard.
- 2:26:35Yes, you could also say goodbye, which, in in Latin a literally
- 2:26:41means God be with you. You, you were a blessing here in
- 2:26:48this in this room tonight and come back.
- 2:26:51I hope you'll come back and maybe become a regular, if
- 2:26:53you're able to, and would be an honor and a privilege.
- 2:26:56I love talking to Rex. I love talking to nidhi, and all
- 2:27:01of you. It's not like, I praise God.
- 2:27:03It's been so great and I'll be praying for you.
- 2:27:05I care about you and absolute but everybody, listening, make
- 2:27:12sure you go to these guys as channels and subscribe to them.
- 2:27:14It helps out a lot. I don't subscribe to me, I'm
- 2:27:19crazy. Don't do that.
- 2:27:20I'm telling you not to Jesus, so y'all go double, subscribe to
- 2:27:27him, click the Bell, then I'll be nice to you my comments and
- 2:27:43I'll be nicer to you guys in your comments.
- 2:27:45If, as long as you don't name, call me, make fun of my
- 2:27:49appearance or my room and I dig the room.
- 2:27:54Yes, your appearance. I could take her leave.
- 2:27:56And when I appear in the room and my character, that's what it
- 2:28:07is. Like being an asshole, to be an
- 2:28:10asshole, or something like that. Or, or likes accuse me of, like,
- 2:28:14doing something really gross, and secret, or some And I'll
- 2:28:17just block you cuz that that's happened to you in the closet
- 2:28:22watch. Alex Jones, and I think you
- 2:28:24binge watch it. I'm sorry.
- 2:28:27I really got to know if it was happening to the frogs, so it's
- 2:28:32the gay frogs drug. That was, I don't know.
- 2:28:42That was a really good good suggestion of what I like that.
- 2:28:48All right, goodnight, brother, they live forever.
- 2:28:55If you want to go through point B for me, I'll do it with you,
- 2:29:01my comment. My goodness is somebody playing
- 2:29:07a dead in his back there or what attracts fell into a?
- 2:29:12I don't know. You started making some kind of
- 2:29:20Wicked. Is that it smells?
- 2:29:33That wasn't it. It might be your might this
- 2:29:36making all that noise? Alexa to come back.
- 2:29:41See if that helps you guys need to pray about the Providence.
- 2:29:53Stopping me from being heard at you for a little bit.
- 2:29:57Always my friend. When we were having a
- 2:30:01conversation, you obviously, you see yesterday you and the scotus
- 2:30:05that you speak of, but you also said that you have a view that
- 2:30:08evolution is true. How do you believe that work
- 2:30:11together? If you don't mind me asking,
- 2:30:14what do you mean? I guess I don't see a
- 2:30:17contradiction when they couldn't work together.
- 2:30:18Stick idea of this. Do you believe the goddess
- 2:30:26created? Things rolling from some kind of
- 2:30:28single organism. How did the how did this start
- 2:30:31for you? Oh no, I believe, simulation is
- 2:30:34simply a model of things happened, just the way that
- 2:30:40might happen. Might happen in reality with
- 2:30:42maybe minor variations to account for consciousness.
- 2:30:46What do you think of that midi? I've heard a lot of
- 2:30:49non-believers who are starting to get into the idea that we
- 2:30:52might live in a simulation. I'm not saying you do, but what
- 2:30:55do you think about that view? I mean, that I put that you on
- 2:31:01par with like like some form of like solecism self skepticism.
- 2:31:09Like it's just unfalsifiable like at the end of the day.
- 2:31:13Like how do you prove that you're not in the simulation?
- 2:31:16How do you prove that? You are like that?
- 2:31:18You could just a tribute, anything as to being in the
- 2:31:21simulation or not in the simulation like It's a very
- 2:31:28important points in Iraq's, you said that you actually got taken
- 2:31:32out of the simulation and you were a part of Base reality for
- 2:31:35a while. They're what is the difference
- 2:31:37between the simulation and base reality?
- 2:31:39I know some people might be going, what the hell you talkin
- 2:31:42about? This is something me and Rex got
- 2:31:45into for a little bit. I thought you guys might think
- 2:31:47is interesting as well and remember to mind your language.
- 2:31:50Please. Everybody boy, got to work on
- 2:31:55that for sure. I would say for the prospective
- 2:32:02Might not be nothing to you. Don't, you don't have anything
- 2:32:05you want to throw on there. No.
- 2:32:08I mean other than like setting. I mean, I was obviously in a
- 2:32:11different setting, but as far as experiencing things and things
- 2:32:15happening that I would say that the simulation is set on such a
- 2:32:18way that we mixed reality. Is that reality would not be a
- 2:32:22foreign concept to us. Well, I guess what I would put
- 2:32:26it to you this way. How do you know that what was
- 2:32:28the difference between the base reality in the simulation?
- 2:32:31How are you even able to differentiate it?
- 2:32:35I suppose I've been being informed.
- 2:32:37I was in base reality. There would be no way for me to
- 2:32:38be certain that I was not in a another simulation.
- 2:32:42That's fair enough. That's kind of.
- 2:32:44Like what Eddie said earlier. You can't really tell if you
- 2:32:46are, if you're not that sucks. So what brought you to the idea
- 2:32:51that you think I'll wear outside of it then there's got to be
- 2:32:54something that gave you. The idea that you were outside
- 2:32:57of it? I didn't move it.
- 2:33:20It might have been Are you guys experiencing the same thing?
- 2:33:24Cuz it might be my end. Does he sound like he's getting
- 2:33:27Gravely? Okay, try again, relax.
- 2:33:32Maybe you spilled some of that juice on that.
- 2:33:34I don't know. Oakley Adam will come in with
- 2:33:36this is well, and come back, but it is real hope you guys are
- 2:33:43perfect. I know go ahead and reload
- 2:33:45though Bud cuz I have a feeling of Suspicion.
- 2:33:47It'll keep coming back with William Lane Craig.
- 2:33:53I've been having technical problems with his mic for a
- 2:33:57while there earlier. So you and I were doing a show
- 2:34:08together. He was not exactly.
- 2:34:16I was just wondering if he still regular Don your show.
- 2:34:21See, that's what I, that's what I've been interested in.
- 2:34:24Getting them to you. I do realize that there's a lot
- 2:34:26of the CS2 also holds the idea of evolution.
- 2:34:30I've been wanting to get in the conversations with folks like
- 2:34:32this and see where they're coming from.
- 2:34:34I don't know about you Ryan, where you're at?
- 2:34:39I want some people who believe that God created reality and
- 2:34:45existence and all physical matter and then there's other
- 2:34:48people who believe that God did it but he just kind of got it
- 2:34:51going and then people came from monkeys and rabbits and such and
- 2:34:54I don't say that Evolution necessary Adam to go and
- 2:35:09straighten these boys out. I was just going to say I don't
- 2:35:16think that Evolution necessarily reject some Christian worldview.
- 2:35:21I must say, I believe in it. I'm just saying that you can
- 2:35:25even still. I don't think it's like that.
- 2:35:29He'll dad ion. You know I'm saying?
- 2:35:32It's not like that cuz there's a lot of Genesis and steal a
- 2:35:44devout Christian. Yeah, there are.
- 2:35:47I mean, I used to be an older Creations for start listening to
- 2:35:50Kent hovind, and the funny thing is I had been a young Earth
- 2:35:53creationism, SRT-10 ham and something.
- 2:35:58Something pulled me out of this down the other road until I
- 2:36:02start listening to Kent hovind. Ryan.
- 2:36:05How old do you think that the Earth is if you don't mind me
- 2:36:08asking? I don't have an exact around six
- 2:36:13thousand years. You don't think it's close to
- 2:36:1610,000. It's closer to 6010 Thousand
- 2:36:21Oaks. Billions.
- 2:36:28You could to be closer to 10,000.
- 2:36:30Enough. It's really faint.
- 2:36:34Let me see if I can help you out here. also Chrome always works
- 2:36:41better if you're in Firefox, but not quieter, he's quieter for
- 2:36:49sure. Guys, I think I'm going to call
- 2:36:53it a night. Y'all are welcome to continue.
- 2:36:55All right. Now before I go next week, be
- 2:37:06sure to tune in next week because it looks like.
- 2:37:09I've pretty much got to guarantee that we're going to
- 2:37:11have Eli Yoder with us. Your brief plug for Eli Yoder.
- 2:37:16Yes, he is a former Amish man. Amish Gone Wild.
- 2:37:23Honest. John what he went, when he left
- 2:37:25the Amish, he did go wild for about 20 years and then he got
- 2:37:30saved. So he has the unique perspective
- 2:37:33of having been raised in a very strict legalistic environment.
- 2:37:40And then he went out and tried the pleasures of the world.
- 2:37:45And so he has been in both camps and now he's say that he's on
- 2:37:50fire for the Lord and I'm honored, I'll be honored to have
- 2:37:53him come in here next week. Next week, next Tuesday, the
- 2:38:04Amish escapee you come into the room anymore, she escaped, he
- 2:38:25left them turned his back, on his left when he was 18 and then
- 2:38:29he lived in the world for about 20 years.
- 2:38:31How did I let him give a little testimony when he's here?
- 2:38:34That either way if you hear him now he is absolutely on fire for
- 2:38:45God if you hear him now. So I'm looking forward to that.
- 2:38:48So if everybody keep that in in mind does sound like an
- 2:38:53interesting conversation right there.
- 2:38:54I thought the Amish they allowed their young to be able to leave
- 2:38:58the premises for like a week or something.
- 2:39:04She'll be able to answer that question a lot better than I
- 2:39:07can. That's the armored it's possible
- 2:39:19that his particular sect did not permit.
- 2:39:21That every sect is different. Some of them are more
- 2:39:25conservative, some of their more Progressive, it just know too.
- 2:39:31Honest trees are exactly the same.
- 2:39:34Adam grew up on us and I don't know.
- 2:39:37He may disagree with you. Then Adam definitely needs to be
- 2:39:44here next Tuesday night. I don't know, I guess, sometimes
- 2:39:49I can't tell Proverbs guys, kidding or not.
- 2:39:50Let's see. They believe.
- 2:40:02Jesus was God. I think they have a lot of weird
- 2:40:06beliefs, take a company that singular belief.
- 2:40:12That there's a God now and rights.
- 2:40:25If I hit a no, don't hit in broadcast.
- 2:40:30My goodness. You want to hit leave Studio?
- 2:40:34Ryan, do not hit in Run cast. Mercy.
- 2:40:40Okay gentleman. Welcome Adam.
- 2:40:42Everybody has gone. I think if you find it, I
- 2:40:52haven't ruined it. Now we're tied problems.
- 2:41:00Come back though, believer. Glad the edge.
- 2:41:11Do Adam. I don't know if you heard I was
- 2:41:14basically asking Mr. Wreck. So what was the difference
- 2:41:17between base reality in the simulation that he believes that
- 2:41:21he was absorbed from? Write extra credit from my
- 2:41:27recollection. You, the differences would be
- 2:41:30one. You have you lack emotions for
- 2:41:34the most part in the simulation? In base reality.
- 2:41:37You feel genuine emotions? Right neurotypical.
- 2:41:45I don't, I don't think there would be a distinguishable
- 2:41:47difference between Ivory for you, but for you, I don't know.
- 2:41:56That seems like an interesting part of the whole story and it
- 2:41:59also you believed that you were brought out of a simulation in
- 2:42:04your brought in to base reality but not as a, an organic human
- 2:42:08but something more like An artificial construction of an
- 2:42:13Android or something more like that, right?
- 2:42:15Like it was similar to human but you were literally like You
- 2:42:20weren't just a human there. You were brought out of the
- 2:42:22simulation into an artificial form, right?
- 2:42:25And also I had to come here about this and also racks, it's
- 2:42:37like into some kind of like You told Brett and I that it was
- 2:42:42like a space station or what was it has Voyager, but it worked
- 2:42:49for me in such a way that would be neat.
- 2:42:54Like you're on the Enterprise or on some slick Vulcan ship.
- 2:42:56When you know, somebody that you're in a spaceship, that's
- 2:43:01all you need. You don't need to get all fancy
- 2:43:02about it. Go ahead and Eddie so sorry
- 2:43:04about that but I can't have it without a seven of nine.
- 2:43:08I mean I will just be lost. Its everyone needs to seven my
- 2:43:12friend. Stimulate me, anytime.
- 2:43:21So I was just going to ask Gregg, see if so is, is there
- 2:43:26judgment after the simulation? Like when you die or do you just
- 2:43:31cease to exist or how do you have, you work the new.
- 2:43:34So what happens when you die? And I think that you either
- 2:43:37their three scenarios essentially, the worst case
- 2:43:41scenario is he there you can and I like this and you'll cease to
- 2:43:44exist entirely you will continue to be refined and us go back
- 2:43:47into another simulation, or you'll be allowed access to base
- 2:43:50reality. One of those three things will
- 2:43:52happen. Now, when you say go in the
- 2:43:55second one, go back into the simulation, you won't be going
- 2:43:58back is the feature that you was before.
- 2:44:01It's some kind of reincarnation. You will be the same
- 2:44:04Consciousness and a different form.
- 2:44:06She'll be refining, your Consciousness.
- 2:44:08Can you explain to me the difference between your view of
- 2:44:14the universe, being a simulation in a Christian worldview, where
- 2:44:19God created the spiritual world, and the physical world, how's
- 2:44:22the physical world in the Christian worldview any
- 2:44:25different than what you're saying?
- 2:44:28I suppose that our views could someone smashed except that?
- 2:44:31I think that my for lack of a better word.
- 2:44:35It creates it to the simulation were in where I would have to
- 2:44:38say that in order to incorporate Christian Theology and make it
- 2:44:41compatible. When God was talking about
- 2:44:43treating Universe got to be talking about treating, the base
- 2:44:45Universe for that to be true. You start modern terminology
- 2:44:54integration. Got you, thanks.
- 2:45:09I also have a question for this would apply to nitty and Rex.
- 2:45:15It's pertaining to Miracles. Are you guys open to that?
- 2:45:18It's more of just a curiosity question.
- 2:45:23So for me being a Believer miracles in the scriptures, like
- 2:45:28Moses parting the Red Sea. All of them to me that's just a
- 2:45:33Tuesday. I mean it's a miracle.
- 2:45:35It's it's wow, it's great but it's very believable.
- 2:45:37I don't doubt it at all to. You guys being Skeptics or an
- 2:45:41unbeliever Saint, our faith. How unreasonable to those
- 2:45:47Miracle seem to you guys. Rexy first.
- 2:45:51I would say a God exist are not unreasonable that since I have
- 2:45:55never seen a miracle and I don't believe that you would have two
- 2:45:57things are likely. They do not seem plausible to
- 2:46:00me. May I may I get on the Rex just
- 2:46:06a little bit Rex, wouldn't you consider it at least to find is
- 2:46:10a miracle what you experienced. So I mean you said that you
- 2:46:13literally got taken out of this form of reality we're on a
- 2:46:17spaceship with that's having a nine and all that and you don't
- 2:46:21see that as could be defined as miraculous.
- 2:46:24I'm in the sense that it defies the laws of physics now, All
- 2:46:30right, fair enough anymore, questions.
- 2:46:32Proverbs you always get some good ones.
- 2:46:33Is that like a? What's that quote, like a
- 2:46:37technology sophisticated enough is indiscernible?
- 2:46:40Is that Isaac a small or something is indiscernible from
- 2:46:44Magic? So like like, you know I'm
- 2:46:47saying like technology of the gaps or wrecks basically but
- 2:46:51like maybe there is like some kind of essence teleportation
- 2:46:56that works in that sense for that experience, right?
- 2:47:01So like I said, my third favorite Australia, Remember,
- 2:47:12Steve Irwin when he died. And what did he say that?
- 2:47:22There was like, I mean, you believe in a simulation in a
- 2:47:24base reality, but within the simulation, it's not just like a
- 2:47:29program. You believe that the goddess
- 2:47:31literally changed the programming.
- 2:47:33An intervened on your behalf is that correct?
- 2:47:38Yes or no, I believe probably might an ultra situated, a
- 2:47:42minute, what it means, but nothing that would violate our
- 2:47:44natural law. So I think that I'm probably
- 2:47:46been scanned happened, repeatedly in such a way that
- 2:47:48they're very unlikely. But again, I don't think that.
- 2:47:50My God is willing or capable of violating the natural laws.
- 2:47:54Okay. How do you tell life remote
- 2:48:02probability from Intervention in buy something that can't be
- 2:48:08detected? I suppose it is under
- 2:48:11administrative and I cannot Amelia throw another one at you.
- 2:48:21Right? That you believe that there's
- 2:48:22many different simulations. Not just the one that you exist
- 2:48:26them, do the other simulations work under different laws.
- 2:48:30Not privy to all of them but yes, they are modeled for
- 2:48:36various reasons. I did not like I said that there
- 2:48:39would be so many in my belief that it is unlikely for me to
- 2:48:43know the reasons they cuss. All right.
- 2:48:46Good. One of these simulations be
- 2:48:48completely different than the one you're in.
- 2:48:50I mean, completely acts different light behaves
- 2:48:53differently. Logically impossible.
- 2:49:00All right. That's what about you, mark.
- 2:49:03You got some questions, you have a sweetheart and some other good
- 2:49:05stuff. Yeah, so really I have some
- 2:49:11questions about methodology if it's a viable on, its site, B
- 2:49:15position. How, how do you, how do you
- 2:49:19distinguish? What that place that fighting?
- 2:49:22Because obviously, like, I understand that these guys, that
- 2:49:26got some books and do something tangible to say, hey, I'm going
- 2:49:29to place my faith in that. I don't like to wait.
- 2:49:33Where did this idea come from? Warrants in the face in the
- 2:49:39first place. Like we waited the idea so to
- 2:49:42conceptualize from Iraq's, your microphone is doing that funky
- 2:49:47thing again, brother like that. Dealers, your mic was working
- 2:49:58great, and then you decide to go Rocky Balboa.
- 2:50:00And that, I hope you can fix that cuz I'd love to have a
- 2:50:03conversation with you. Another interesting question for
- 2:50:08Mark and nitty. Is there a miracle?
- 2:50:13That is a big enough that would make you guys accept that no
- 2:50:19matter which God is real. That there is a God What, what
- 2:50:24do you think would be a big enough miracle for both of you?
- 2:50:27I think, I think something like that.
- 2:50:29Like, re-chroming a limb or, or if somebody died and I divert
- 2:50:41were completely documented, his dead kind of thing.
- 2:50:45And I thought, that what we had reliable and rigorous
- 2:50:49investigation of them and I regrow their house or something.
- 2:50:52What did I say something? Good in Supernatural.
- 2:50:55Disappearance of her, or a tumor.
- 2:50:59Bolt. The problem is cancer
- 2:51:00disappears, goes into remission by itself.
- 2:51:03Very rare these things where people heal themselves off of
- 2:51:13Chambers and stuff, the body does have the mechanisms to be
- 2:51:18able to fight these things. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:51:23And then completely rid it like overnight.
- 2:51:26I'm talking about like a 24-hour.
- 2:51:28Because I switch to my quality microphone.
- 2:51:36My crappy heads up. Real quick.
- 2:51:40With the question you throughout their Proverbs, I'd like to ask
- 2:51:43Mark about this, get more in-depth than what you talking
- 2:51:47about. Your problem is, but, you know,
- 2:51:48and I've heard this, this conversation from some
- 2:51:52non-believers, where they say, amputees, if we could see
- 2:51:55somebody like throwing arm or legs, but isn't What you already
- 2:51:59Believe by Chris subscribing to Evolution that people got a
- 2:52:04comical structures and let him know all this.
- 2:52:06In the first place about evolution is the deal with your
- 2:52:12basically. You're not real robbing them,
- 2:52:15you are, you are changing the physiology of something.
- 2:52:18With the morphology, I should say about something over
- 2:52:21successive Generations, which is a completely different kettle of
- 2:52:27fish than one person. Ray Browning, I lived in that
- 2:52:31has been cut off. So I think that analogy
- 2:52:34completely FiOS because somebody's having a limb cut off
- 2:52:39the wall, or, you know, I'd a dog getting toll road or bigger
- 2:52:44through the course of evolution isn't isn't remotely in the same
- 2:52:48ballpark. To be fair, though, Mark, I have
- 2:52:51to be honest with you. One of the things you're asking
- 2:52:55for to be shown to you, as a miracle is an Ex human
- 2:52:59Revolution. I mean growing a regeneration is
- 2:53:07it will not regenerate like for instance, some lizards
- 2:53:14regenerate body parts, kind of things that you can cut off by
- 2:53:19Limonite regeneration final one regenerates Broadchurch.
- 2:53:23It basically if you try to Planet one in two sections it
- 2:53:28will regenerate the entire worm out of each section.
- 2:53:32Kind of think that is regeneration.
- 2:53:34What you're describing is simply changes in body morphology
- 2:53:38through evolutionary process or even multiple Generations.
- 2:53:42I don't even see how they're in even the same bull pop because
- 2:53:46there's nothing miraculous about Evolution.
- 2:53:48There's something miraculous about a human with nerve
- 2:53:53regeneration, What to eat rate drawings?
- 2:53:56I would definitely constitute rapid rapid evolution.
- 2:54:03Call Expedia, Travel know it. If you possess the same DNA
- 2:54:09inorganic material as before and you're just extenuating that out
- 2:54:14to the same information as the armed.
- 2:54:16They had before, that's not Evolution.
- 2:54:18The three generation Mark. Reid pointed out two things that
- 2:54:22he'd be interested in seeing even classified at 1.
- 2:54:25He wants to. There has to be some kind of
- 2:54:28Resurrection type of concept, but hasn't there been an Atheist
- 2:54:32as well as religious people who claim to have been officially
- 2:54:35dead and then they got off the table.
- 2:54:37So we've got that and then on top of it, if we go with the
- 2:54:42evolution stamps, I know you don't like this, but you do
- 2:54:45believe that your ancestors grew limbs even though it took a long
- 2:54:49time, you still believe it happen.
- 2:54:52Well, like I said unto, the first thing, it's it's that
- 2:54:54people have been pronounced dead in Arabic for a nut that hardly
- 2:54:58counts. People have been dead as in the
- 2:55:02heart stopped. And not hardly count say that
- 2:55:04because that's not necessary pay.
- 2:55:06What hasn't happened to somebody?
- 2:55:07That is actually brain dead and it hasn't been a miracle, which
- 2:55:11is sort of brought these back to say, the thing I missed
- 2:55:13diagnosis of them, paying you? No brain dead when they haven't
- 2:55:17been or it's been sort of medical technology, bring the
- 2:55:21back from the brink of death. So I think they're completely
- 2:55:24wrong on that one. And if that were true, everybody
- 2:55:27that's been pronounced dead on the operating table, It is not
- 2:55:32been alive, then it's a rising from the dead becomes.
- 2:55:36Really a man dying thing, doesn't it?
- 2:55:37It's just not true, not true. Cyst in the first and second
- 2:55:42evolution still like it evolution is the change in
- 2:55:47allele frequency or the change of heritable.
- 2:55:49Traits are the multiple Generations survey drawing a
- 2:55:52limb, literally cannot be Evolution because it does not
- 2:55:57fit. Even the most basic definition
- 2:55:59of it. So, if you do one last thing for
- 2:56:03you Mark and I know that you are you put a lot of lot of what
- 2:56:07would be the word. I'd hate to say faith on you cuz
- 2:56:10I don't get too wound up but you you believe in that the great
- 2:56:14technology of science do you believe that there will be a day
- 2:56:18where science will be able to fiddle around with our genetics
- 2:56:21and actually make what you talked about possible.
- 2:56:24Probably possibly, I don't know, maybe it won't be.
- 2:56:27Maybe that is, that is beyond the realm of, of, of technology.
- 2:56:32I honestly don't know at the moment that we know, you do
- 2:56:37that. Like, that is something that is
- 2:56:39outside of outrage, possibly, that's pure speculation.
- 2:56:45Whether could on NAS, I think that even if we could like the
- 2:56:50amount going to be in the future with told me that so some
- 2:56:52far-flung science fiction kind of thing, but I did have a
- 2:56:57question to you if you indulge me.
- 2:57:00Wait, hold on Mark, can I reiterate my initials, what I
- 2:57:04find acceptable as like, social try to Private Dancer.
- 2:57:12But if anyone else did ditch listening is curious, I have an
- 2:57:16answer similar to Pieology, is sure everything, Mark, list, it.
- 2:57:21Okay, if we had these verifiable miraculous Things that have no
- 2:57:25grounding in Pryor reality or experience.
- 2:57:29And we witnessed it and verify it and it's like, holy crap.
- 2:57:33Like it. We attribute it to the
- 2:57:35Christian. God damn, you know, settled
- 2:57:38right now I am I adding another thing that I would find
- 2:57:43generally acceptable now and I also gave it a caveat so that it
- 2:57:47doesn't make me inconsistent with what I said before.
- 2:57:51So, there are like, unfalsifiable personal
- 2:57:56experiences that are solely related to personal mental,
- 2:58:00mental States and not like verifiable to anyone else,
- 2:58:04right? And that's generally the thing
- 2:58:06that I Stray away from is an acceptable piece of evidence.
- 2:58:09However, if God gives me some like piece of knowledge that I
- 2:58:15have no opriri business knowing like that will require like
- 2:58:19years of intensive study or are or education or Experience in
- 2:58:25like a particular expertise field, right?
- 2:58:29Like tomorrow, like I'm just a master Tradesman and something
- 2:58:34that I've never touched a year now.
- 2:58:36And I believe you, you have a semi honest face.
- 2:58:40I'm kidding. You look on it.
- 2:58:41You're telling me that if you woke up tomorrow morning and you
- 2:58:45could play Beethoven on the piano.
- 2:58:47Perfect. Yeah if I prayed and got that
- 2:58:53skill, just the neck of a tribute to things like, you
- 2:59:02know, some ridiculous, mathematical proof some, you
- 2:59:05know equation for light speed or like you know what I mean?
- 2:59:10Or something you had stays the goddamn world type of the world.
- 2:59:24It happens that a good answer though.
- 2:59:30I think it's good, but I want to ask you something having to do
- 2:59:35with the Beethoven. Why do you think it is that
- 2:59:37there's a group of people out there who seem to be
- 2:59:40extraordinary capable of doing Beethoven capable of doing the
- 2:59:45kind of things they are, but others cannot no matter how
- 2:59:48seemingly hard they try and practice when I draw people's
- 2:59:54faces, they look like, monkeys are like what, you know, 7th
- 2:59:59graders draw. I would just so those are two
- 3:00:04different questions, right? Like I'm saying that these would
- 3:00:08be like spontaneously generative skills or knowledge that we have
- 3:00:13no precedent in Human Experience, right?
- 3:00:16But you're describing something that of a savant, right?
- 3:00:21Someone with limited interaction but then Progressive steel
- 3:00:26building, that allows them to perform with extraordinary
- 3:00:30talent. I mean, and that's great.
- 3:00:35But you know, Where was I going with that opinion?
- 3:00:45Or at least what you're at? What you've got the knowledge on
- 3:00:48this. Why is it that somebody could
- 3:00:51pick up a guitar and almost within months be a prodigy but
- 3:00:56someone has been doing it all their life.
- 3:00:57They eat. We can't even come close.
- 3:00:59Why do you think that is? I mean people have different
- 3:01:01reflex muscles. He's a developer has of
- 3:01:06developing certain neural connections to their muscles.
- 3:01:09Like my hand. Eye coordination is terrible so
- 3:01:11I can't play a single sport except for, maybe DJing
- 3:01:15something if you want to consider that a sport.
- 3:01:17So like, and no matter how hard I try, I can't develop that.
- 3:01:22However, like, someone in my same age group, like, was
- 3:01:25fantastic. Like, you know, tennis or
- 3:01:28basketball and because they ate, they just have those coordinator
- 3:01:32skills that they sure it might not have taken them long, but
- 3:01:36they still had to refine those skills because they're their
- 3:01:39brain and their body correspond to doing that behavior, much
- 3:01:43better than other humans. Like myself.
- 3:01:48Will be better than them and other things.
- 3:01:51Maybe we'll have an ability to unite put together.
- 3:01:55Scientific stuff, Vector programming.
- 3:02:00Yeah, we have a varied sort of neural network, you know, mines,
- 3:02:05Ryan's really. And I'm depending on how how the
- 3:02:09brain forms and a lot of things that come to it, will generate
- 3:02:13what feel good. I feel bad.
- 3:02:15That's a good thing to you Monday.
- 3:02:17It's good to have diversity of extortion, is similar to.
- 3:02:25How does a Corvette solve a puzzle without without they can
- 3:02:40solve puzzles without prior instructions to fold up
- 3:02:44programming? I am, that's my job.
- 3:02:51Maybe do you? Oh, I know this is going to be
- 3:02:54kind of a goofy question on you, but do you believe that
- 3:02:57programming could do itself without yours?
- 3:03:00And for another developer, do you mean like with a?
- 3:03:04I I just anything like that, even an AI seems to require some
- 3:03:09kind of development committee. Do you believe that if the you
- 3:03:12were to watch a bunch of information on the screen and
- 3:03:16waited a long time sooner or later become coherent on the
- 3:03:19town? I know I knew where this is
- 3:03:23goes, the tornado in the junkyard was as different words.
- 3:03:28Well, you're a programmer, so it makes sense to bring in some
- 3:03:31programming. Sure.
- 3:03:33And in that category of things generally know, I would say that
- 3:03:38that's not what I would consider possible first time, All right,
- 3:03:43have a system where things that went card were moved to
- 3:03:46intensive work, harder than you had a system to generating just
- 3:03:49a bunch of random stuff on the strain then eventually it would
- 3:03:53turn into curd. It would be absurdly large
- 3:03:57amount of time. I me we'd all be super, super
- 3:03:59dad. But have you ever observe
- 3:04:02something like that happen enough random code, that it just
- 3:04:05becomes somehow go here? No course not because you'd have
- 3:04:10to run either. You need processing power that
- 3:04:13does like calculations and generations like Adam you don't
- 3:04:18we do have that. By the way that can do like a
- 3:04:20million operations in a second, but you'd have to run that thing
- 3:04:25for like longer than I can live and everything you just
- 3:04:29mentioned from the system and the overlays in the processors.
- 3:04:33This would have all had to be developed as well, right?
- 3:04:37Sure, when I'm just curious just curious how you view that bite,
- 3:04:43mark. You were going to ask Brett
- 3:04:44something. I hope you didn't forget it.
- 3:04:46So what I want to know is whether I God wants me to
- 3:04:54believe that they exist. You're wanting to know if God
- 3:04:59wants you to believe. Yeah.
- 3:05:01Does any God wants me to delete that they exist?
- 3:05:07Well, I'm pretty sure that God does and I understand that your
- 3:05:10next question to be. Why doesn't God show me
- 3:05:13something? Why doesn't God do that?
- 3:05:15Maybe God is waiting for the right time for you and when
- 3:05:18you're ready, it feels like we've seen each other's battle
- 3:05:21plans. Well, maybe that's one reason
- 3:05:26why you visit these rooms a lot because you're going to get
- 3:05:29something sooner or later it just it just it's weird that
- 3:05:35wants me to AAA the tastiest just seem to do so that they
- 3:05:43they seem to be limited oil for a failing in that thing I want
- 3:05:49to do when Soda powder body in some sort of evidence that would
- 3:05:53convince me would be a mere triviality for stabbing, as
- 3:05:58powerful as a God. So, I don't know, I'm just
- 3:06:00saying that line of thinking was just let me finish.
- 3:06:03I don't understand that line of thinking that you've got such a
- 3:06:07powerful pain. But once something, but they do
- 3:06:12not make that happen even though it would pay a triviality to do.
- 3:06:17So, but yeah, maybe Isn't isn't that the burden to pay on the
- 3:06:31person that wants to convince you of something?
- 3:06:34To convince you I will stay on May to lower back.
- 3:06:41I wouldn't say that that's the biblical model.
- 3:06:44I think that there is an aspect of you got to want to give got a
- 3:06:51chance Morrow. Possibly another answer.
- 3:06:57Which I mean. It's just that I haven't seen
- 3:07:08anything. That would be a convincing
- 3:07:10answer to serve people come with anecdotes, which is so
- 3:07:15unreliable evidence. They come with some of these
- 3:07:18stories which is on the lab 11 tonight.
- 3:07:21Come with like what you are at the moment page on just lower
- 3:07:23your standards of evidence to include.
- 3:07:27This goes for you but it might not be accepted nobody but it
- 3:07:32would. I don't think I don't know if
- 3:07:42anybody in here would agree with it.
- 3:07:43But it is a question which is God doesn't want everybody to
- 3:07:48know that he is. He reveals to the Holy Spirit.
- 3:07:52To see him and everybody else, they don't have that.
- 3:08:00Revelation. So that's well, I have to make a
- 3:08:15disclaimer cuz it is my channel. I disagree with serving and
- 3:08:19Christian Pike, Freewill guy. We're not going to get into that
- 3:08:22debate, but I had to make the display.
- 3:08:24Can I buy display Mireles boat by the timers on both?
- 3:08:29Let me guess, what? Your disclaimer is Christian.
- 3:08:32Your disclaimers going to be. I'm Christian Pike, and I
- 3:08:35believe it cuz it's in the Bible, right?
- 3:08:39I just am. I far off.
- 3:08:43But I do want to quickly point out that, that sort of the
- 3:08:49original question was, does God want me to believe?
- 3:08:51Sorry, this is this question. Yeah, it is.
- 3:08:54Bicycle, you give gifts or counted the first question that
- 3:08:58he doesn't want me to believe. Right.
- 3:09:02That's what you was asking. There's an answer to that mean.
- 3:09:08I'd like to ask my question now, Mark and then I'll let you go
- 3:09:13right stuff. You said earlier that you gave
- 3:09:16you gave got an honest try. And I believe you.
- 3:09:19You said, you would you charge to try to have a relationship?
- 3:09:21You tried to see him and you said, you were afraid.
- 3:09:24When did you pray like, was it a times of great sorrow or stress?
- 3:09:31Or was it just at lunch when you're trying to be reverent?
- 3:09:36I, I, I think I was sort of talking to somebody who was a
- 3:09:41bit late and I sort of said hi to you, this kind of thing.
- 3:09:44I'm so I don't think it was a time of great stress, but it
- 3:09:47definitely was a honest. So, do you know what temp to get
- 3:09:51in contact with anything out there?
- 3:09:54That might help me? I guess I was a bit stressed out
- 3:09:56of territory. Okay. but you didn't ever try
- 3:10:08praying and seeking him, like, when you were at a real time of
- 3:10:10distress, You know, I don't lie at low.
- 3:10:16I don't think so I know and that's a shame mark because I
- 3:10:20promise you, that's probably where you're going to find him
- 3:10:23when you're really low and you cry out to him.
- 3:10:26He's going to answer you on such a mighty way man.
- 3:10:30Well, I mean I guess the problem is that when you're still
- 3:10:36talking about that it it's wet when you'll always at a time
- 3:10:40when you're very, very vulnerable to being convinced of
- 3:10:44things. I'm a 9 might not necessarily be
- 3:10:46true if it's white, you know, psychics try on people.
- 3:10:51That have recently, lost loved ones and things, it's very easy
- 3:10:54to trick people. When when you're the other, you
- 3:10:57not really down point in your life.
- 3:11:02Right, right? I don't see why that should be
- 3:11:05necessary, what reason would that be necessary?
- 3:11:09If a God wants me to believe, what exactly what you do.
- 3:11:14If you don't mind me asking, let's say tonight, you were to
- 3:11:18pray and God would come to you in some kind of manifestation or
- 3:11:22speak to you. And the instruct you on what it
- 3:11:25is, he wants for your life. How do you feel that this would
- 3:11:28change your life? What do you think of Mark would
- 3:11:31be like, going from here on out? I don't know why.
- 3:11:37I think I would probably stop being an idea strike.
- 3:11:40I mean if that if that actually happened I would David sent me
- 3:11:43stop being an atheist. The good answer.
- 3:11:49I'm not sure if my behavior cuz I would change a lot.
- 3:11:55Unless, you know, there was something that was specifically
- 3:11:57pointed out that I'm doing wrong in some way.
- 3:12:00I don't think there's a lot of morals, that, that I would have
- 3:12:05Christians wouldn't kind of things, you know.
- 3:12:09So I don't really see it. What I would believe would
- 3:12:15change but not necessarily my lifestyle or anything like that
- 3:12:18already, you feel that you do morally good in your life and
- 3:12:23you're a charitable person and kind and all this.
- 3:12:27I mean, I try my best today. I know you care about other
- 3:12:33people. I am a secular humanist, so I do
- 3:12:37take care about people. So you so you having Charities,
- 3:12:40definitely taught that because people have been child support
- 3:12:48to me in the past Hyatt forward mentality.
- 3:12:53So yeah, things are important. So you believe in human rights
- 3:13:07Human rights. Yeah yeah, I believe in the
- 3:13:10rights to humans. Yes.
- 3:13:18Bullets, because I think that humans have in my moral
- 3:13:25worldview. Well, you're W.
- 3:13:31The W has a higher closer to you than watches.
- 3:13:42Brought the question is your electrical circular circular
- 3:13:46reasoning? I'm saying, wow.
- 3:13:57I know. And it's it's because I choose
- 3:13:59to it's because the the situation that we find ourselves
- 3:14:06in at the moment, it is that we are sort of one planet and one
- 3:14:12species. It it could be that high.
- 3:14:17If I decide that high, I'm I'm just going to prioritize white
- 3:14:20people above all others and just do whatever is best for them,
- 3:14:24right? Did the problem comes up that
- 3:14:28sample to myself? The planets Humana, harmful to
- 3:14:34everything. It's not even good for you.
- 3:14:37No one moment, they're like an animals rights, it's going to be
- 3:14:46incredibly detrimental to everybody concerned.
- 3:14:49If we fragments have pies out species like that, it's just not
- 3:14:53good. May I ask you something any time
- 3:14:58I talk to you but always come off sincere, you've always been
- 3:15:02respectful, you're a decent guy as far as my perspective sees
- 3:15:05it. Why do you think it is that
- 3:15:07you're not a nihilistic atheist? You're you're very humanist,
- 3:15:12you're very, it's about helping Humanity.
- 3:15:14We need this drive and work together, type of attitude, why
- 3:15:19didn't you go for nihilism for Why didn't I catch the London
- 3:15:24nihilism? I don't know why.
- 3:15:27I don't know any ideas to the nihilists.
- 3:15:30Most Isis care about the people around them, but a great deal.
- 3:15:37I don't know where this idea, Marcus.
- 3:15:44I mean I'm not saying you're not a Mark, you are very different.
- 3:15:48You are very different than some of the Monopoly.
- 3:15:50Know, the way you speak of wanting to help people.
- 3:15:55And Mark, do you see yourself as someone who is anti-theist a
- 3:16:00car? Could you be friends with a
- 3:16:01religious person who I thought we were friends?
- 3:16:09Mark, I think that auntie auntie religion.
- 3:16:15I think religion does sometime. I also think it was some good
- 3:16:20things. I would I would I want to
- 3:16:24capture this very carefully. So I think that some religions
- 3:16:27that the ham out, why so good in a large why I think that
- 3:16:33religion has had a special place in a society for so long but it
- 3:16:38It's upsetting to some people and I'm I apologize if this
- 3:16:41upsets you that they don't have a Special place anymore, but I
- 3:16:44think that religion needs to be like any other organization out
- 3:16:47there all comparable interest but I'm not interested in seeing
- 3:16:51how we got to stamp it out or anything like that.
- 3:16:57But it doesn't matter, as well. And I say the harm and it
- 3:17:01concerns me. I think that the difference is
- 3:17:08that I wasn't raised in religion thing that I'm getting that
- 3:17:19markets yesterday had discussions with they don't see
- 3:17:24any value or meaning and things. And they basically have it set
- 3:17:28where I've had a couple ideas to my room where I asked him what
- 3:17:32they sacrifice your life to save the child.
- 3:17:34And they said, no, if it's not genetically related to me, I'm
- 3:17:38not giving my life up to save his child, and then he kind of
- 3:17:41scenario. But Mark, everytime, I talk to
- 3:17:44you. You've always talked about
- 3:17:45positive ways that you want Humanity, that fit together.
- 3:17:48You feel like there's all kind of form of Justice going on, and
- 3:17:53it needs to be done but humanity.
- 3:17:55And that's the big difference between you and some of the
- 3:17:58non-believers had talked to you. And I'm just curious how you
- 3:18:00came to this way of thinking, I don't know.
- 3:18:07I don't know. I just, you know, I am on the
- 3:18:17autism spectrum so I don't think exactly the same as a typical
- 3:18:21person maybe that's it maybe it's coupled with with my
- 3:18:25upbringing might get some Australian cultural thing.
- 3:18:29There is a lot of of solidarity in Australia are all makes and
- 3:18:36we'll try to get along through the best Beach entry.
- 3:18:38I'm looking out for each other is a culture might my fellow.
- 3:18:51I see is some yes buddy, he's amazing.
- 3:19:05There's some other people that are amazing.
- 3:19:07I mean Youmans. Amazing, awesome.
- 3:19:10She she has weathered storms and arrow.
- 3:19:15Is a no kind of nasty stuff and she still wishes people live in
- 3:19:19the best for them. I I I actually admire her but
- 3:19:24being able to go to love the people that I hate you on her.
- 3:19:27So you know, a lot of this stuff is I I run into these people so
- 3:19:32I let you know, I'm really sorry but I can't I can't agree with.
- 3:19:36You know, everybody else is a nihilist because I I know that's
- 3:19:39just not free night, you know? I'm not saying all of them are
- 3:19:42nihilistic. I just noticed that is one of
- 3:19:45the viewpoints are protists. There's a lot of a piece of
- 3:19:48method are very nice and very chilling.
- 3:19:50Yeah, yeah, yeah, I do want to point out guys, that Rex was
- 3:19:56promised a question about 10 minutes ago, Adam or on muted
- 3:20:00and then eventually muted again about five minutes ago, and P
- 3:20:04Town hasn't been able to get a word in in about 35 minutes.
- 3:20:09Sorry, Adam just say, shut your mouth rent, check them out.
- 3:20:12So I guess, Adam p-town. So Rex, what do you have first?
- 3:20:21I don't mind waiting because I am enjoying listening to
- 3:20:24conversation, but my question was to use, Steven, it seems
- 3:20:26like you think that job right now is my staying or is it God
- 3:20:34coming into my heart? What, what part of that do I
- 3:20:36have control over? Do you want my honest opinion?
- 3:20:38Yes. Don't do a darn thing to save
- 3:20:44your soul. It's a relationship with Jesus
- 3:20:46Christ. Who initiates the contact Soul
- 3:20:49by state that relationship cannot what point is, God
- 3:20:52responsible? Or will God initiate at any
- 3:20:55point, will my seeking change the nature of the relationship
- 3:20:57to be mutual Wait, hold up, come again.
- 3:21:01So why continue to see God? Let you know.
- 3:21:03I saw God for over 20 years and never was in a mutual
- 3:21:07relationship. Never was anyone in that
- 3:21:09relationship. But me so at what point does
- 3:21:12assumed at some point you think God is responsible or able to
- 3:21:16make that and use your relationship, right?
- 3:21:17Can I ask you a question though? Some type of disorder, right?
- 3:21:24That causes you to, I don't want to say motionless cuz that's not
- 3:21:28accurate. If you put words in your mouth,
- 3:21:30you get very emotional psychiatrist and I told her yes,
- 3:21:38so, I cannot experience, most human emotions normally, and
- 3:21:43those personal experiences that we talked about, how often you
- 3:21:50guys, would describe his emotional experiences, which I
- 3:21:53say, okay, if I'm fine with that.
- 3:21:55Is it possible that that's why you weren't able to feel that
- 3:21:59spark? You were looking for because of
- 3:22:01the condition you have. Like I can't reveal that to like
- 3:22:08where the Bible talks about God, making vessels for Glory and
- 3:22:11vessels for rap. You know, I simply cannot feel
- 3:22:15peace, that passes understanding, I can't feel
- 3:22:16peace at all. So if I need that to experience
- 3:22:20the god of the Bible, then I was born in such a way that I could
- 3:22:23never experience the god of the Bible.
- 3:22:27I would say that if you had continued being faithful, even
- 3:22:32though you felt a lack of that relationship back eventually, he
- 3:22:38would have manifested to you and even if he did, and I believe
- 3:22:41you still would have been redeemed, wrecks.
- 3:22:45But that would have been by my work's, not by the hand of God,
- 3:22:47right now, I'm in a lot of people, I lived the best I
- 3:22:50could, but ultimately I never felt God, I just did with the
- 3:22:54Bible. Told they ought to do and I try
- 3:22:56to live my life in accordance to a century, the rules to never
- 3:22:59hated it loving me. Nothing and will be time to talk
- 3:23:03about crying out to God. And I got a very hard life.
- 3:23:08So I cried out to God it many, many very low points and still
- 3:23:13went unanswered. I know mad and that makes me
- 3:23:19really sad if I can level with you, I don't think we got to be
- 3:23:23careful and we're talking like this, because we're getting them
- 3:23:29to, like the nollie's and all this.
- 3:23:30It's very possible that Rex next month, might be able to have
- 3:23:35some kind of experience or something happened, and he could
- 3:23:38end up being one of the, you know, greatest person that ever
- 3:23:42existed, one of the best speakers on this matter.
- 3:23:48I never thought in a long time that Adam was going to become
- 3:23:54Fiesta car. Even go towards that direction.
- 3:23:57So we need to try not to be so finalized.
- 3:24:02If you would have met me several years ago, Proverbs you would
- 3:24:05have said that dude is on his way to Hell Bound, but you would
- 3:24:09have figured. So he asked me, he did ask me
- 3:24:14the question though, and I was trying to be as honest with him
- 3:24:16is I could even though it was awkward.
- 3:24:18I know, I know you differ from predestination because I assumed
- 3:24:26at some point you think God has to move on the heart of the
- 3:24:29unbeliever for going to be a meaningful change.
- 3:24:31And I don't understand where that is not the sort of a
- 3:24:34predestination I guess I that was really my question.
- 3:24:39Yeah, I can't answer that because I can't confirm whether
- 3:24:42or not you have the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit is really
- 3:24:46that That telephone purse, a b able to connect you to God like
- 3:24:52that and and I'm not sure maybe your condition prevented you
- 3:24:56from feeling acts of the Holy Spirit.
- 3:24:58I can't say for sure I'm guessing.
- 3:25:03Add, what did you have for us earlier when Mark was talking
- 3:25:08about or someone had asked Mark like what would change your mind
- 3:25:11or some like that had something to finish here?
- 3:25:13I'm in a kind of its kind of come back around to that same
- 3:25:16topic is that I think, Mark, I don't know if you're seeking out
- 3:25:20a belief in God necessarily but I I would just share that
- 3:25:24recently the past kind of 23 weeks I went from, on July 23rd,
- 3:25:30in his room, saying there's nothing you guys are ever going
- 3:25:33to say that will convince me to the next to the next day.
- 3:25:37I stop being an atheist from something that happened so I
- 3:25:42think that if you were to change your believe if and I I wasn't
- 3:25:45seeking out. Either, I was not actively
- 3:25:47trying to figure out, you know, I wasn't trying to become a I
- 3:25:51just I didn't think that I was going to change my mind ever but
- 3:25:56so I will just stay like to share my experience.
- 3:25:59I think Mark, if you were to change your beliefs, I think it
- 3:26:02would likely come in a way that was like, From a different angle
- 3:26:07than what you were expecting. Like, in other words, the stuff
- 3:26:10that I confidently said, you guys will never change my mind
- 3:26:13on this. I still didn't change my mind on
- 3:26:15it, but something else I saw it from a different angle, where I,
- 3:26:18some of my experiences with with what I know identify as the Holy
- 3:26:22Spirit which is God I do believe in.
- 3:26:25So like I confidently. Believe like you guys are going
- 3:26:28to convince me that there was a beginning in the Creator and a
- 3:26:32Noah's Ark and all that stuff. I still pretty confidently feel
- 3:26:36that way, but But I think that part of it for me was like,
- 3:26:43there's a lot of stuff where, if you're an intelligent person,
- 3:26:46you're rational your critical thinking, use a lot of logic.
- 3:26:49There's certain things that are spiritual that it's not that
- 3:26:53they defy logic or that they contradict logic, but it's just
- 3:26:56sort of outside at there's, there's things that are true
- 3:26:58that you don't necessarily arrived at the conclusion,
- 3:27:01through logic, Rex had a personal experience, that's why
- 3:27:06he believes in this goddess thing.
- 3:27:07He experienced this thing. Very profoundly I've had
- 3:27:11experiences in my life that don't make sense without a
- 3:27:15belief in God. So I think that and again, work,
- 3:27:20I don't know that you're even thinking out a God, believe or
- 3:27:23whether you are or not. But I just kind of would predict
- 3:27:25that. If at some point you did change
- 3:27:27your mind, it would probably be In a way that was unexpected
- 3:27:32rather than the things that you're probably pretty
- 3:27:35confident. And right about the things that
- 3:27:38are just straight-up, there's no six thousand years Earth, you
- 3:27:42know, that you're not going to change your mind. 3D disagree
- 3:27:45that slate Beyond, not to be anyone.
- 3:27:51But anyways. Felt very pointed to me, Adam at
- 3:27:56all. I would show you on the doll
- 3:27:58where I felt violated anything personal to anyone.
- 3:28:01But the methodologies that that we used to tell whether
- 3:28:07something is true or not, true is based upon rationality.
- 3:28:11And so, if you're sort of saying, hey, it's some some
- 3:28:14information, you think so, to arrive at 3 rational process, I
- 3:28:19would absolutely be ready but by definition that is irrational.
- 3:28:23So, when I talkin about the most reliable way, How to find out if
- 3:28:30something is true, if you also sample some things, you've got
- 3:28:34to be a rational to believe in. Then I don't know why you would
- 3:28:40sort of, do you like when we know is that irrational?
- 3:28:43Thoughts late to generally things that I'm not feeling the
- 3:28:47slightest. So the methodologies that I used
- 3:28:53to examine what's true and what's not true, it has to take
- 3:28:57into account that I thought I am up a fallible human being that I
- 3:29:01do have confirmation by Steven. In my ID is in my do my to
- 3:29:05review, whether I am using confirmation bias to say, I'm
- 3:29:09I'm going to let you know, I've been an idea store or just say I
- 3:29:13run an idea channel. So therefore it's in my best
- 3:29:15interests to be an idea. Is that really what I'm thinking
- 3:29:19is that really what? But it's going through my head,
- 3:29:21I do a challenge that all the time because we all have icees.
- 3:29:25So when you're sort of and rationality, is it suppose,
- 3:29:29Eliminate those biases supposed to go, well, if I want to be
- 3:29:33rational, I've got to take this with an open mind, and not try
- 3:29:37to lead it in any direction, not based on emotion, not based on a
- 3:29:42consequence. Like, what I want to be true and
- 3:29:45things like that because that is where the bias will will
- 3:29:48absolutely guide you down that pop.
- 3:29:50If you want something to be sure you're going to find it to be
- 3:29:53true. So far, it's just to me what you
- 3:30:05basically said. His will in order to find this
- 3:30:08out, you've got to be irrational.
- 3:30:09And that, that isn't something that I can do.
- 3:30:12I can't stable. I'm going to act irrationally to
- 3:30:18find out if this is true or not, because those three statements
- 3:30:21one doesn't lead to the other if I didn't say what you said but I
- 3:30:26can see why you would take it that way.
- 3:30:28But let me, let me ask you. This is there anyone in your
- 3:30:32life that you love? Oh yeah I love my wife.
- 3:30:35Yeah that's what you love your wife.
- 3:30:37Okay. Can you prove that logically and
- 3:30:39rationally or is it kind of outside of the realm of Hope?
- 3:30:42You can tell him how would you prove that?
- 3:30:46I'm alive. I've got a very strong
- 3:30:48relationship with their. We do a lot of things that they
- 3:30:51each other. I really enjoy sitting down and
- 3:30:56talking with her. She she bounces ideas off me,
- 3:30:59that make me think of Lawson activate my brain making me very
- 3:31:03happy to do. So, I'm her sense of humor
- 3:31:06messes with mine with Barstow. I'm sort of on the same
- 3:31:11wavelength as you will, we we enjoy the same things.
- 3:31:15I enjoy cooking for her because I enjoy.
- 3:31:22Is a lot of that anecdotal. It sounds like a beautiful
- 3:31:26relationship to me. I wish I could cook.
- 3:31:29Yeah, I mean, I enjoy cooking. Especially for her like, there's
- 3:31:35something about fading, your loved ones.
- 3:31:37That's really special thing. Is that anecdotal?
- 3:31:42Sure. But I mean, I don't have to
- 3:31:45convince anybody else that I love her and I don't know.
- 3:31:49Right? Right, that's kind of, my point
- 3:31:53is, I don't think you could really prove you start out by
- 3:31:56saying you don't accept anecdotes.
- 3:31:57You don't accept emotional reasoning but you just listed a
- 3:32:00bunch of it. You're convinced out needing to
- 3:32:04convince somebody else, right? You, you may not be able to
- 3:32:07really use a logical syllogism that proves in the same way as
- 3:32:12like a scientific thing or mathematical thing that I say if
- 3:32:16people were skeptical of love and they didn't believe it was
- 3:32:18true or that they thought that maybe you were lying that you
- 3:32:22loved your wife, you probably couldn't prove it.
- 3:32:25What evidence? No, but I could pray that she
- 3:32:28exist. Right, right?
- 3:32:31But you kind of get my point. Like I think love is a good
- 3:32:33example of something that it's not, that love.
- 3:32:35Is it rational per se necessary? Like you don't believe in love
- 3:32:38for irrational reasons. But it's not to rush and believe
- 3:32:43in love for the rational, raising them up because of a
- 3:32:47logical argument or something or a mathematical equation or
- 3:32:51scientific data. Are you believe in love because
- 3:32:53of your experience? Adam, if you don't mind me
- 3:32:57saying what I got from what you just said.
- 3:32:59A little while ago, when you were out talking to Mark was,
- 3:33:02he's kind of been set in your ways as you were already
- 3:33:05convinced of your own views and all that, but you'd always
- 3:33:08remained. Open-minded, you figured if
- 3:33:10something came along, then you would deal with it.
- 3:33:13Then if it wasn't something you went in search of, but something
- 3:33:16to pound you That. I mean if I'm wrong.
- 3:33:20Correct me don't know yet. That's correct.
- 3:33:25The mark that says, you know, what is far as I'm concerned.
- 3:33:28It's, that is how the truth works.
- 3:33:30Sometimes you go in search of it and you find it and sometimes
- 3:33:33just whenever you least, expect it at 5.
- 3:33:37Thank you. I know, I know you probably
- 3:33:39going to be like, well, but that is a good point about the love.
- 3:33:42You were saying over here and chat.
- 3:33:45You said something about is that all you see love as a chemical
- 3:33:49reaction and nothing more. I think it's an emotion, but I'm
- 3:33:53saying, if you want to, it could be arguably scientifically
- 3:33:56proven that. He loves his wife.
- 3:33:57If he were to go undergo certain testing with him in his wife, I
- 3:34:00bet you do blind studies with people that he does not know and
- 3:34:04see brain States and indicated loves wife.
- 3:34:06So it would come down to his love testable.
- 3:34:09I would argue that it likely is well, even if it is testable, no
- 3:34:15one on the planet has no human being arrived.
- 3:34:19That a belief in love through a logical syllogism or scientific
- 3:34:23data. They arrived at it because of
- 3:34:25the feeling of love that we know is there and through your
- 3:34:28personal experience of it. Yeah, but nobody's asking you to
- 3:34:32prove that you love your God, which is proving to ask me to
- 3:34:36prove that they exist. I see that but I think like I
- 3:34:42think the Holy Spirit like the experience of the holy spirit is
- 3:34:46very analogous to what we're talking about with love work.
- 3:34:49It's more like a direct experience is not something you
- 3:34:52can really show much evidence of because it's very internal.
- 3:34:57But the problem is that you're sort of sign that he loved this
- 3:35:00individual and and ways or sideways and Olathe exist.
- 3:35:04And then you said, well, I bought everybody did.
- 3:35:06I exist that? You love your wife and I can
- 3:35:09prove my wife and kids, so I can go get the birth certificate to
- 3:35:13get her ID. I can show you pictures of her.
- 3:35:15I could, I could prove that she exists.
- 3:35:18If it up to of love exists, not doubting the person that you
- 3:35:25love doubting love. Yeah.
- 3:35:28But I mean about things in the world I mean, emotions exist for
- 3:35:36certain level and unlike Rex would have said that they're
- 3:35:40more chemicals than anything else.
- 3:35:42But I joined the day's Concepts, like love or, you know, your
- 3:35:47friendship Princeton. Can you demonstrate friendship
- 3:35:50exists? Kind of thing.
- 3:35:51If it's more, an abstract concept and under and emotional
- 3:35:56reaction eggs, But the only, as a, as a relationship between two
- 3:36:01things like it is kind of in a different different degree as as
- 3:36:08an actual concrete thing. Right?
- 3:36:12Right. So in a way what I'm suggesting
- 3:36:14is maybe and I'm more focused on the Holy Spirit aspect of a
- 3:36:18belief in God maybe God or the holy spirit is like that.
- 3:36:22In that it's it's not this object.
- 3:36:24Or this test will thing that it's more like an abstraction
- 3:36:27that is it's a true experience, but when you try to pin it down,
- 3:36:33it becomes harder to I don't know, right out in some kind of
- 3:36:37empirical way. Okay.
- 3:36:45Anyways, I'm not trying to pressure you to change your
- 3:36:48belief smart. I just because I had just
- 3:36:50recently changed and like I really wasn't trying to stop.
- 3:36:54Like I wasn't trying to start believing in God or I was like,
- 3:36:57I thought I was pretty set in their ways.
- 3:36:59I didn't think I was going to change your mind.
- 3:37:00So just kind of like interesting that they had come up.
- 3:37:03And I just wanted to share what I, but my experience was,
- 3:37:07there's some people out there who are starting to be goofy.
- 3:37:10Unfortunately, like you're somebody out here.
- 3:37:12So I just love cappuccino. Ten bucks says, you wouldn't be
- 3:37:16willing to die for that cappuccino.
- 3:37:17I'm largely driving at night, how much somebody loves coffee.
- 3:37:23Be honest with you, I've seen some pretty People can criticize
- 3:37:33my view but I'm largely a fictionist when it comes to
- 3:37:38trying to say, that there is a label Concepts that is like
- 3:37:45objective and outside of agent experience or agent labeling.
- 3:37:50So, like we can say, like love exists or four exist.
- 3:37:57But if there were no conscious agents to ascribe those labels
- 3:38:01to things, I don't think they would exist.
- 3:38:06Do you say if you say that one? Did you just say that for exist,
- 3:38:12for, for does not exist? Objectively outside of agents to
- 3:38:17describe such a thing. As, for the number for like,
- 3:38:21four doesn't exist out there. The numbers and information
- 3:38:31can't exist without a mind behind it.
- 3:38:33And Eddie will. I agree with you.
- 3:38:35But when you say something like that, Love exists, right?
- 3:38:47And I object to that at a very fundamental level because I
- 3:38:52mean, even if you add God to that, you have to give God a new
- 3:38:57category to hold the belief that love exists.
- 3:39:05I do in the sense that we use it as like a definition.
- 3:39:09I think that's what we mean. It's like saying Like unicorn
- 3:39:19exist as a fiction to describe a thing, but it doesn't actually
- 3:39:23exist outside of, you know, our creation of such a concept in a
- 3:39:31way that's different than unicorns existing, right.
- 3:39:33Sure because that's how that definition works, right?
- 3:39:38So, don't you think of the same as the same is true for those
- 3:39:42who believe in God, they don't mean it in some way that is
- 3:39:45different from how we just use the term commonly, like it's the
- 3:39:48same thing. Yeah, but yeah, I guess that's
- 3:39:53where like the 80s and Furious have to part ways.
- 3:39:56I guess, Markey emergent properties.
- 3:40:04Like, the emergent properties of relationships that aren't
- 3:40:07actually have any impact on the world in a physical wire or some
- 3:40:13kind of way. Like, I don't, like I love my
- 3:40:16wife. That doesn't create literal
- 3:40:18fireworks or anything. I have to do these things to
- 3:40:21make anything happen, you know, you like that martians, don't
- 3:40:25actually change the world. Know anybody?
- 3:40:27That's the claim that we usually get.
- 3:40:29Is that this God does change the world and is responsible for the
- 3:40:33creation of a responsible creation of every organic thing
- 3:40:38out there. That day comes to sort of burden
- 3:40:45of that, that thing than hide. This emotion is felt by organic
- 3:40:50creatures. Cuz ya'll just saying that, not
- 3:40:53only does it exist and not in the sort of sorcery.
- 3:40:58Do abstract, the white love exist.
- 3:41:01It, it actually is something that has not only affected the
- 3:41:04world that created an internal war base things in responsible
- 3:41:07for all the Baseline. So it depends on what kind of
- 3:41:10claim your nice in here. Reference.
- 3:41:14I think though not to sound like a broken record, but I think
- 3:41:18that the love example is a good example because people will say,
- 3:41:23oh well there's these chemicals. And you know, we're just organic
- 3:41:28creatures feeling and emotion. But when you're actually talking
- 3:41:31about the love of your wife or, you know, if you give a specific
- 3:41:35example, you're not going to describe it just as an organic
- 3:41:38chemistry. Dang it.
- 3:41:41You there's something more to it that you know is a human when
- 3:41:45The Human Experience that love the experience of love is not
- 3:41:49just this thing that you described as organic chemistry
- 3:41:54it's beyond them. Mark is supposed nidhi and Rex,
- 3:41:59you mind, if I ask you as hypothetical real quick, like
- 3:42:03I'm more instant finding out from Adam from chemistry and
- 3:42:07neuter activity and so does a shed relationship of psychology.
- 3:42:11What else is there? Like what what are you pointing
- 3:42:14Mark more? Or less, a chemical reaction.
- 3:42:21I think at first it is, I think it's also you I'm it's a
- 3:42:25tradition so it's sort of like trying to reduce it to Jost.
- 3:42:28Chemicals is a mistake. The the certainly the Darkman
- 3:42:32hits that you have from experiencing that with your
- 3:42:36partner, old old Partners or whoever is definitely chemical
- 3:42:40reaction to the whole bunch of sort of psychological triggers
- 3:42:48in there. There's also the hydro stuff in
- 3:42:51there is a whole bunch of neural adaption in there, so there's a
- 3:42:56whole bunch of different things that, that sort of I think would
- 3:43:00build up to what you call love. Butt idea of Love is an emergent
- 3:43:05property from all of these things working together.
- 3:43:07I don't think it's just just chemicals, or just, you know,
- 3:43:12psychology or just behavioral stuff.
- 3:43:15I think it's a whole bunch of stuff together, that would be
- 3:43:17reinforced and not that we call love.
- 3:43:21Okay, can you articulate for me, which chemical causes you to
- 3:43:27want to cook for your wife? Because you enjoy blessing her?
- 3:43:30Do you think it's still coming? Yeah.
- 3:43:35So you could technically go ahead crack and get the same.
- 3:43:41Or low-cost TV cuz you get dopamine hits from watching
- 3:43:45stimulating, television shows to enjoy other things, stay the
- 3:43:49night. I don't know what that bruise
- 3:43:51like. I enjoy playing James.
- 3:43:52Guess I enjoy playing Christmas to my wife a lot because I don't
- 3:43:58know, I just enjoy it. And she said, honey, I really
- 3:44:06want a grilled cheese you would probably hop up and go make her
- 3:44:09it for her because you want to please her.
- 3:44:11Right. I mean, I might tell you how you
- 3:44:14do. You know why not I don't know.
- 3:44:22It's not like she just tells me to do something and I'm just
- 3:44:26like, yes ma'am last we had a minute option but I don't like
- 3:44:29when my girlfriend is running out of ice water she's like an
- 3:44:34addict freshwater. I immediately go to jump up and
- 3:44:36make her more ice water. I want to please her, I
- 3:44:39prioritize it. So I guess my question is why
- 3:44:42does that dopamine hit override? The dopamine hit of watching.
- 3:44:46My favorite TV show is taking her out, water over my TV show.
- 3:44:59So, I think what you're trying to say then, let let me try to
- 3:45:06express this little bit different differently.
- 3:45:08Is that What you're trying to say is if you reduce this thing
- 3:45:14to a chemical, then it's indiscernible from any other
- 3:45:18kind of behavior that generates that chemical fracture.
- 3:45:22Sure, you're great. So I think where there's some
- 3:45:30talking past is that There's a multitude of chemicals involved
- 3:45:38in human relationships versus just pleasure.
- 3:45:43Sensations in particular soap, it's almost a category error to
- 3:45:48say, oh, you get dopamine from this personal relationship with
- 3:45:53someone, and it makes that love trivial to drug use TV, show,
- 3:45:57whatever, that's not quite what happens with us.
- 3:46:00Like those things are aggregated together.
- 3:46:09We called that I love between humans and it's categorically
- 3:46:14different than I love hitting the bong.
- 3:46:18I love cappuccino like we're just short cutting that, that
- 3:46:23sense of release and enjoyment for for something that's not
- 3:46:28equivalent to what we mean by. I love her, I love him.
- 3:46:32I, I, I love this. Person far, above anyone else, I
- 3:46:37ever have Christian men in the Bible Belt, they get more
- 3:46:42typically and it's an idle at the Florida.
- 3:46:45Gators was an idol of my life. They get more of a dopamine hit
- 3:46:48from a college football game than they do Sunday morning
- 3:46:50church. But they'll still prioritize
- 3:46:54Sunday church over a football game.
- 3:46:58So basically Proverbs what you getting at is the price for the
- 3:47:02priority of the chemicals. Mark, as well as nidhi.
- 3:47:08Are you guys convinced that there's nothing beyond the meat?
- 3:47:11Are you that you're that? You're basically complex
- 3:47:15chemicals. So what do you believe?
- 3:47:17Prioritizes that cheese sandwich that your wife wants over you
- 3:47:22watching the game? I think is what Proverbs get
- 3:47:24that pretty good question. Well, I think that you sent the
- 3:47:28Matrix is being very, very reduction espresso.
- 3:47:31It says what? I brought up his, I did think it
- 3:47:34was all your own about the chemicals and I outlined a
- 3:47:36number of things. So the behavioral and reward
- 3:47:39systems, kind of things just pointed out.
- 3:47:47I might think it's a whole bunch of things like part of it, maybe
- 3:47:50I learned behavior, right? If you don't going, make your
- 3:47:54wife grilled cheese, then shake it.
- 3:47:58And then not that went behavior is well, I don't want my wife to
- 3:48:02be cranky cuz that makes my life hard.
- 3:48:04So therefore, you have a Hydra Belen parative to make your
- 3:48:09wife, go chase that none of that might actually goes through your
- 3:48:13head. It's just all my wife wants a
- 3:48:15group Chase, how I can help her out that it's a mixture of these
- 3:48:18things happen together. That's what an emergent property
- 3:48:21is. It's a number of different
- 3:48:24systems all working together that produced an overall
- 3:48:27reaction. That is what emergent mean I
- 3:48:33struggle to believe that I actually have a persistent
- 3:48:37identity throughout all of time. Like because I think most people
- 3:48:42are efficient Paradox. Like like I, I don't know if I
- 3:48:47am the in like, an ultimate sin. Six-year-old me like we just use
- 3:48:55that. Like, it's a shortcut.
- 3:48:56I can just say, we're not a six-year-old.
- 3:48:59Thank you like in Psychology, you kind of take apart of that
- 3:49:06young child with you at all times.
- 3:49:08Like they are escaping from that.
- 3:49:13Childish nature, if you ever seen a businessman 30-something
- 3:49:17child could really important, keeping keeping that child alive
- 3:49:28is, it's really important. It, it's sort of that ability to
- 3:49:32pliers is incredibly important. Even even if you are an elderly
- 3:49:37person on the ability to fly, And have fun at that's real.
- 3:49:41Childish in a child's sense, is very important.
- 3:49:45So I would disagree with you on this, like I challenge you on
- 3:49:49that. I think about it some more
- 3:49:52Lendmark erect. I was hoping to ask you guys a
- 3:49:57hypothetical real quick. It'll be.
- 3:49:58Alright. That's my normal.
- 3:50:03Alright so here's a hypothetical.
- 3:50:06I've actually asked Adam this while back and rest in the urine
- 3:50:11with the different answers will be but let's say tomorrow you
- 3:50:14wake up in a dark room and you see two doors up against the
- 3:50:18wall, there's light, coming underneath them, you can see
- 3:50:20them clearly as you approach them, they become more
- 3:50:23illuminated on one door. It says, if you go through this,
- 3:50:28this will be a universe with God.
- 3:50:31And once you close the door behind you, that will become
- 3:50:35your reality. The other door is without God,
- 3:50:38that will become your reality. The moment, you shut the door,
- 3:50:40which would you choose? Goblin.
- 3:50:47What about you actually have to say, if it is a good god of
- 3:50:55benevolence. Kind of thing?
- 3:50:57Like, so that it's going to be a good benevolent.
- 3:51:02God omnipotent and have our best interests at heart, correct?
- 3:51:05And remember the moment you shut the door behind your reality,
- 3:51:20People that look up on somebody with lost in that hat is
- 3:51:25committed. Adultery is pretty terrible and
- 3:51:28it's literally you think we women?
- 3:51:32Do you think we should do? I think this is a really bad
- 3:51:40thing. I think a thought crime is a
- 3:51:44really bad thing to be leveraged upon people because people have
- 3:51:47thoughts all the time and especially sort of Attraction.
- 3:51:51Sexual attraction is not anything's the dressing lust,
- 3:51:55lust lust in your car is already in action.
- 3:52:02What if you're lusting? We're already partaking and
- 3:52:08sexual activity in your knowledge and yes your mind
- 3:52:15which is by definition to your mind.
- 3:52:17That's a thought. I am so confused or a Mark II
- 3:52:23was hoping to get back with the hypothetical but I will play
- 3:52:26around with this notion real quick.
- 3:52:28Imagine for a moment that the female that you say that you
- 3:52:32love and that you cook grilled cheese for, have the ability to
- 3:52:36be able to see your thoughts everywhere.
- 3:52:38You walk, everywhere you go. She can see every time some
- 3:52:42woman bends over, you got some thoughts, running your heads.
- 3:52:45How do you imagine? She would react towards you if
- 3:52:48she could see, all that stuff going on.
- 3:52:50I see your smartphone a little bit.
- 3:52:52Tell me what's what's going to happen?
- 3:52:53Cuz like sometimes I tell her, I don't I don't hold any secrets
- 3:53:00or anything like that and she finds other men attractive.
- 3:53:04Like you think that the other women don't find out the men
- 3:53:07attracted? You think that if you always a
- 3:53:09woman that she'd never find any other guys attractive, do you
- 3:53:12think that? Yeah.
- 3:53:18Am I supposed to be in a relationship?
- 3:53:20Like my partner has no problem. I'm not a huge poor guy, but if
- 3:53:24I watch born, it doesn't bother her and doesn't involve her and
- 3:53:32it doesn't affect a relationship.
- 3:53:33So we just don't talk about it. Like we don't talk about when
- 3:53:36she has a biological thing ever. Been with a woman who tells you
- 3:53:43that something doesn't bother. And then later on down the road,
- 3:53:46you find out it actually dead. Then she lied And she replied.
- 3:53:51Yeah, it did or didn't think about it?
- 3:53:58Call Rite Aid in town. Here you build a relationship
- 3:54:01where that trust is that she can can tell you so so usually when
- 3:54:06that happens starts bothering her, I'm sorry, bothering her
- 3:54:12then she needs to be there after, right?
- 3:54:16Or is it shows that the thinking and processing of what is going
- 3:54:19on? Now is not acceptable to her
- 3:54:21right now to try and just be like I need to just appease them
- 3:54:28cuz I don't want the conflict. All right.
- 3:54:30Mark you said depending on the god of fire pit tonight God and
- 3:54:35all this Shield, go through God door.
- 3:54:37I noticed you hadn't really hesitate on that either you or
- 3:54:40like God or what would you do your face with the Jesus store
- 3:54:46or Universe without any kind of God whatsoever and that becomes
- 3:54:51your reality your simulation rocks.
- 3:54:54Assuming that I could be certain that the Universe I should have
- 3:54:58any certain to your. Other than that, one door is
- 3:55:00least use the wind or lease. And not Jesus do from that, I
- 3:55:03would choose Jesus simply because my selfishness does not
- 3:55:06want to stop existing at any point.
- 3:55:07And so are going through the second door that says that Jesus
- 3:55:11has the potential of at some point.
- 3:55:13I would no longer exist. But according to Christian
- 3:55:15theology, I will always exist. So I choose that goes well I
- 3:55:20feel like you and Mark Van sword.
- 3:55:22Honestly, what about Unity? I don't know.
- 3:55:27So I thought way too much about the ideas of heaven and Eternity
- 3:55:34with Jesus. And so for me, like, one of the
- 3:55:41issues like how do you escape like the problem the possibility
- 3:55:45of Eternal boredom. So like I don't know how that is
- 3:55:50that. You saw that one or like is it
- 3:55:55still in Jesus world? Is it still really me if you
- 3:55:59know fundamental parts of my character and everyone else's
- 3:56:02are you know, wiped away or reformatted when burying that
- 3:56:06eternal The ideas of like perseverance toil the setting
- 3:56:17goals. Like, I don't know if those
- 3:56:19things actually exist in heaven, but I find them to be a
- 3:56:22fundamental part of my character.
- 3:56:23Those get wiped away then I don't think I'm me and I don't
- 3:56:26want it like and then like just not existing is like I didn't
- 3:56:31ask to exist in the first place. So I can on Jesus world is just
- 3:56:35me not existing, when I go poop, you know, whatever.
- 3:56:41So right? He didn't exactly he's saying
- 3:56:46that he does not have a 50-50 if you can solve the problems of
- 3:56:51like you know, is it really me in heaven and like there's a way
- 3:56:59to escape Eternal boredom then? I guess I'd choose a Jesus story
- 3:57:03but as it stands I probably would not.
- 3:57:06Let me throw this out at Proverbs in Proverbs he still
- 3:57:10alive. Alaska does I am, but I do want
- 3:57:13to also Circle back around to nitty's false conception of what
- 3:57:18heaven will be like, a boy, it's fine.
- 3:57:21It's something that spread around by Protestants because
- 3:57:25many of them don't read the Bible.
- 3:57:26I'm being honest with you with the majority of Christians do
- 3:57:32not read the Bible. I've been to five different
- 3:57:34services in the past six weeks and none of them read more than
- 3:57:42five scripture verses in a 45-minute service and that's and
- 3:57:47I'm not hating on that and a service alone.
- 3:57:49But what I'm saying is that's the only scripture most
- 3:57:51Christians here, they don't read it at home.
- 3:57:55So they're getting five scripture verses a week from the
- 3:57:58entire Bible. Okay.
- 3:58:00Do you think that applies to me? No, not at all.
- 3:58:03You have to do with midi over here.
- 3:58:08That is something that I've heard some non-believer say.
- 3:58:12What if I existed for Millennia, man?
- 3:58:15I just I didn't enjoy the creative process anymore.
- 3:58:18I was happy, even though I earned our got in there.
- 3:58:22Be will you know, I wouldn't say it's a question of happiness
- 3:58:26because, you know, you could say that God instantiates this world
- 3:58:32in such a way that you always experience happiness.
- 3:58:34But then is that still, you were an eternity worth experiencing.
- 3:58:39I don't know, right? And then leave the question.
- 3:58:42I was going to throw up Proverbs and this is probably something
- 3:58:45something has to be, probably wondered.
- 3:58:46But Proverbs, do you think it's possible for a soul or a person
- 3:58:51who is in The Eternity with God? They actually asked God to end
- 3:58:57them, if they did not want to exist anymore.
- 3:59:02I mean, it's such an unreasonable question.
- 3:59:04Why someone in total Paradise would want to?
- 3:59:10Even fathom the idea of ending it.
- 3:59:12So, I can't really answer that question.
- 3:59:18But if you think about it in the Theology of Christianity, the
- 3:59:22devil made the choice and a third of his angels, actually
- 3:59:25decided. They didn't want to be under
- 3:59:27rule this way. So if the human soul where the
- 3:59:30stand before, God and say, look, it's it's not working for me
- 3:59:33anymore and they become non-existent annihilated.
- 3:59:37By choice in Paradise is going to be the completion of that.
- 3:59:41Empty feeling you have inside and you're seeking God.
- 3:59:46Fair enough. I do agree with nidhi though.
- 3:59:48I do believe it's a place of joy and happiness and all that and I
- 3:59:52understand where you're coming from, will you still be you and
- 3:59:55all that? I get that.
- 3:59:59You will completely still be you hold on.
- 4:00:02Is there any sadness in heaven now?
- 4:00:06Would you be sad tonight people with burning in Heaven and Hell?
- 4:00:11Sorry. No, you're not banging.
- 4:00:16So you're not yourself, you've had parts of you were raised the
- 4:00:19possibility. Hang on a second.
- 4:00:23If I'm not conscious of my loved ones and what has happened to
- 4:00:27them, if they ideas to Namaste is site just say, I'm a
- 4:00:30Believer. I go to heaven die.
- 4:00:32Don't die either. Go to hell when I wipe but I'm
- 4:00:34not sure. What what you'll do, your belief
- 4:00:36system is on that. I'm saving that just say that
- 4:00:39they've been, what? May not think conscious of what
- 4:00:44happened to them. That wouldn't be met like I, I
- 4:00:48would, I would care for my loved ones and won't them with me.
- 4:00:51So what about your? Loved one?
- 4:00:55Never even crossed your mind. Me ask you a question.
- 4:00:58Would you agree that your honeymoon was probably one of
- 4:01:02the happiest days of your life? when your most enjoyable
- 4:01:07moments, Otherwise, I'd have to either call you dishonest or get
- 4:01:15your wife on the phone and be like, look, you need to handle
- 4:01:18business. Oh, she doesn't, they are
- 4:01:21stopped at a lot more patience. Okay.
- 4:01:25Yeah. One of the best nights of your
- 4:01:31life. Okay.
- 4:01:33In that night, those moments were you thinking of your
- 4:01:37grandma or your dead, great grandma, or were you thinking of
- 4:01:41how wonderful it was with your wife in that moment?
- 4:01:45Well, yeah, but my wife is a, is a loved one, right?
- 4:01:48When you're with him and assuming you make it and I'm
- 4:01:53praying for you. Baby thinking of you at all, if
- 4:01:58you made it or not because you're going to be in the
- 4:01:59presence of someone, you love very dearly in a very intimate
- 4:02:03moment, but forever. Yeah, but I mean you're talking
- 4:02:08about like mine, are you talking about the sort of the entirety
- 4:02:13of my honeymoon night, right? You know, Max isn't going to
- 4:02:19come in comparison to look in the presence of God.
- 4:02:23Yeah, but taping somebody, in that state kind of thing.
- 4:02:27Taking somebody in that state. That means that you are typing
- 4:02:32from the rest of their life. Because the whole point about
- 4:02:36about sort of what you're talkin about about.
- 4:02:38So 6 at the honeymoon is that it doesn't last forever.
- 4:02:43That's what makes the honeymoon special.
- 4:02:46Is that a feelings all day? I wouldn't want to, I mean, why
- 4:02:53would I want to go? Then it would be a lot of work
- 4:02:56and get away with it. Sure.
- 4:02:58Yeah, for the first that you wouldn't get anything done.
- 4:03:01You'd be fired, why would you want because the scripture
- 4:03:04defines Heaven as the Earth remade, the Earth's going to be
- 4:03:08destroyed is going to be made new again.
- 4:03:09That paradise is heaven and it says that there's going to be
- 4:03:14and believed her to be given principalities and in ruling
- 4:03:20areas depending on how faithful they were to cry.
- 4:03:22So it's not like, we're going to just be playing around and
- 4:03:25ecstasy all day. Like, we're going to be
- 4:03:29functioning and you're going to be my wife.
- 4:03:35Still doesn't believe in. I can register, but tomorrow,
- 4:03:38like, like a Time, Lord, I just reach around and my wife is
- 4:03:42still tight. Stay at stand, doesn't doesn't
- 4:03:44want to talk to you guys and, you know, it doesn't have a
- 4:03:47chance of her converting after you statistically.
- 4:03:58And God turns me on that match that I just don't think about
- 4:04:05her. You don't see anything wrong
- 4:04:07with that. Now I don't because here's the
- 4:04:09thing you're assuming that the love for your wife would be
- 4:04:12before God. And that's not how we value our
- 4:04:14relationship. My love for God comes before my
- 4:04:17love, for my girlfriend. It comes before the love for my
- 4:04:21mother. It comes before the love of my
- 4:04:22children. It comes before the love of
- 4:04:24anything in this world. Christ comes first in my life
- 4:04:27and because of that, all of my relationships, following are
- 4:04:31stronger and better. Yeah, and just just because I
- 4:04:35did the whole reason I wouldn't be myself is, I wouldn't feel
- 4:04:39sad that that person being naughty in my life but that just
- 4:04:43wouldn't be who I am. That would be somebody changing
- 4:04:48how I'm feeling in order to basically trick me into that.
- 4:04:57You accuse, your wife of trying to trick you out of thinking of
- 4:05:01your dead grandma. And that's the relationship in
- 4:05:07the intimacy. I'm trying to explain to you.
- 4:05:09That is just wrong horrible. Yes, it is.
- 4:05:16Maybe it is in your mind because you can't grasp the concept of
- 4:05:20an intimacy with God, but you're not talkin about or not.
- 4:05:25You're talkin about the rest of Eternity like But you don't have
- 4:05:33to think about people that you would have loved if God didn't
- 4:05:37come along and change your love. The only Encompass, this one
- 4:05:41being are you saying if you were able to wipe away all your
- 4:05:48heartache from the past by just not remembering it, you wouldn't
- 4:05:51want to the most traumatic. Yeah, they did this.
- 4:05:56You know, I'm Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
- 4:05:59Yeah, it's a sad. Saddest.
- 4:06:12It is sort of that idea of, if we take away the things that
- 4:06:17make a sad and the true must have been true in the things
- 4:06:20that we've we've experienced, when not us anymore.
- 4:06:23That's the whole point. Like, it is the things that we'd
- 4:06:27be facing over, now, lives in the people that we made him that
- 4:06:31the, the, the the relationships that we have, an all of these
- 4:06:35things, make us who we are, and you'll sort of Shanghai.
- 4:06:41Comes a lawn mower. And once you're in heaven, he
- 4:06:43just flicked a pleasure button. And you just forget about all
- 4:06:47the things that made your life, rich and complacent.
- 4:06:52And then things bother. It just seems horrible, it seems
- 4:06:55awful. I didn't even know what you
- 4:06:58think it means. But if you could get a drug that
- 4:07:01just sort of majoring in ecstasy all the time and just tell it to
- 4:07:05somebody or asking, wouldn't that make you happy at Mark
- 4:07:08terrible and horrible? How do you describe hell?
- 4:07:14Just out of curiosity would be terrible and horrible but he'll
- 4:07:22you have no opinion on. Both are terrible.
- 4:07:27But yeah, I mean, it depends on a lot of different sort of
- 4:07:38descriptions of hell. If you're talkin about, hell is
- 4:07:42sort of a separation from a Christian inspiration from God,
- 4:07:50and that's your idea of Heaven. I'll type the separation from
- 4:07:52God. Any day, the way you think
- 4:07:58you'll be done. Then being separated.
- 4:08:01Yeah, it sounds better than just just not feeling sad and not
- 4:08:10being myself. I like that sounds honest stops.
- 4:08:19And we're everything that you've ever cared about everything that
- 4:08:23you identified as yourself will be non-existent forever and
- 4:08:28ever. That's the atheist option
- 4:08:29though. What?
- 4:08:31Why you saying? It's an auction.
- 4:08:32One of these is going to be a reality.
- 4:08:35Like you're saying, like, whatever you choose is what you
- 4:08:37get. I think that's the case.
- 4:08:39But if we're talking to a public audience out there and they're
- 4:08:46hearing the options of the joy and peace and Harmony that, you
- 4:08:49know, what, why do you think that what's going to happen to
- 4:08:59you? When you die is an auction, like
- 4:09:01you get a choice in the matter. Well, I don't you accept God and
- 4:09:06that is a choice. What's an atheist?
- 4:09:09And you're simply saying what, what happened?
- 4:09:14What happened is not a choice. Like, if you're talkin between
- 4:09:19life, okay, you're a theist. And you believe these two things
- 4:09:22I can do, an internal could take it back, but as soon as you
- 4:09:25bring ideas them into it, I just don't think we have a choice of
- 4:09:29any of the like you don't get to choose what happens to you after
- 4:09:32you die. Do you think that?
- 4:09:34But in my arms, I'm concerned, you don't know, whatever
- 4:09:36happened about, Pascal's wager, but you are such a thing, you
- 4:09:44are convinced of atheism is the correct position, if lacking the
- 4:09:49police and deities is the correct position, the most
- 4:09:52Rancho Mirage occult. Then the option is here, is that
- 4:09:56you lose everything, right? Everything that you love and
- 4:09:59care about no option. Every technology the science has
- 4:10:04ever done a very inspirational person on Earth Gone, not even a
- 4:10:09memory. How do I get off at 8?
- 4:10:12I'll be in memory of the things you said, when you said not even
- 4:10:24a memory, they definitely will be a member.
- 4:10:26I'm not sure if you meant that metaphorically, but, you know,
- 4:10:29we remember, Isaac Newton kind of thing seconds, later, you're
- 4:10:33saying that like, will you eat at Chuy's?
- 4:10:34The idea, why you choose this way?
- 4:10:36Whatever happens after you died one month said is going to be
- 4:10:39wrong. Someone is going to be wrong.
- 4:10:41I'm you don't get to choose that right?
- 4:10:44You're basically saying hi, that's the white, you get a
- 4:10:48choice. Sure, if you're right, that is
- 4:10:50the case. And the height is why if you
- 4:10:52choose that, not one of these is going to be right, independent
- 4:10:56of what you choose, whatever you believe, right?
- 4:11:00Doesn't get to determine reality.
- 4:11:02It's the other way around, it's reality that gets to determine
- 4:11:05whether you chose correct or you chose wrong.
- 4:11:09So, Let me finish. Finish it.
- 4:11:16As will you choose which one of these is going to be the outcome
- 4:11:21is just I'm sorry it tightly wrong.
- 4:11:24One of these is going to be true and you will choose what you
- 4:11:28believe, okay? So Mark, the reason why I
- 4:11:31brought up the memory issue here is because I think that atheist
- 4:11:35and religious people are like, agree on this one thing Humanity
- 4:11:39as an entire day is going to end.
- 4:11:41One day is not going to be some Star Trek future we're not going
- 4:11:45to fly off and tell him I'm under Planet even though I'd
- 4:11:48love that, it's not going to happen.
- 4:11:50We're most likely going to destroy each other or play.
- 4:11:53He's going to wipe us out of whatever the case when that
- 4:11:56happens, there will be no one around to remember any of the
- 4:12:01achievements of humanity. It won't even be a dream or a
- 4:12:04memory. So yeah, I do see it as an
- 4:12:07option. Realistic, we enjoy.
- 4:12:11We have some blessed or we be completely wiped out and lose
- 4:12:15her complete identity Mitty. One Thing Mark, you I don't know
- 4:12:20if you miss us but Brett was proposing.
- 4:12:22A a thought experiment you. I don't think that he's saying
- 4:12:24that there definitely is a choice.
- 4:12:26You choose one of the other and that's reality that the thought
- 4:12:28experiment, you sending up an artificial story words.
- 4:12:33Like if this was the case, would you choose this or just use
- 4:12:36that? And I think that it kind of is
- 4:12:38interesting to see what certain people say about it cuz like
- 4:12:41you're saying for you. But you would reject
- 4:12:42conventional God in heaven in those things.
- 4:12:46And to do them this interesting psychological reaction that it's
- 4:12:52like even if you were given the choice of what they, they
- 4:12:55believe in, you would still reject it.
- 4:12:56Exactly a very good. I think that it's just that that
- 4:13:02kind of training of it. I find great exception to that
- 4:13:06the framing that I can. I can't remember the, the loved
- 4:13:12ones that I have, because of what God does to you in heaven
- 4:13:16is is not is not alluring to me in the slightest.
- 4:13:22But I'll just like to point out on Brett, with Brett said
- 4:13:25earlier, is that the whole idea that the human race will not
- 4:13:31succeed and will not strive and will not talk.
- 4:13:34I think she's a colonize another planet and I didn't think you
- 4:13:37noticed that for sure. I don't think that's been
- 4:13:40sitting started, but I think that, that sort of client, you
- 4:13:45taught, you don't have a way to demonstrate that climb,
- 4:13:48especially when my sort of these other space agencies, the NASA,
- 4:13:58this is sort of an American Centric idea that said, If
- 4:14:02America doesn't 16 organization ever will, and that sort of an
- 4:14:06American Centric, Yeah. That that people have American
- 4:14:11tubs. Will other places have space
- 4:14:15programs? The original ISS was not based
- 4:14:19upon an American space saying? It was based upon the mirror
- 4:14:24which was the Russian. Orbital satellites.
- 4:14:29Oh yeah, a lot of the stuff. The first time we did a lot of
- 4:14:38communication stuff for the first one, actually, if I would
- 4:14:48love to be hanging out on the deck of the Enterprise with
- 4:14:51nidhi and looking out the big screen and all the worlds and
- 4:14:54all that, but let's face it. I mean, if we're going to be
- 4:14:57realistic here on all sides, even the atheist a lot of them
- 4:15:02agree, but we're probably not going to have one of those that
- 4:15:05meet Futures at the most. We might get Fallout 4 and
- 4:15:10that's that. Are you the future like that?
- 4:15:15Even if America collapses entirely, how do we know which?
- 4:15:21Which nation will rise intake eyes of night going to be China,
- 4:15:24maybe it'll be a very good start p.m. future.
- 4:15:27But you don't know who that I want colonize another planet.
- 4:15:29I don't think anybody can make that level of confidence
- 4:15:33statement about what will happen, a thousand years in the
- 4:15:36future, a million years in the future.
- 4:15:38If we survive that wrong, like I appreciate that.
- 4:15:41You have a really pessimistic. So the idea of what humanity is
- 4:15:45capable of, I happen to have a much more optimistic, like a
- 4:15:49specialist with sort of gearing up to, at least.
- 4:15:52See if, if colonizing Mars is feasible in some way.
- 4:15:55And once that happens, you have a two planet population.
- 4:15:59The odds of that that species evolving toward markedly because
- 4:16:03then I existential Planet, ending Shrek actually wipe out a
- 4:16:08species, so I I generally optimistic Said that the
- 4:16:14Atlantic. So you would never be crossed or
- 4:16:17we'd never make it to stay. So I'm all would never make it
- 4:16:22to the moon or would never do this.
- 4:16:23And would never tell you that paper was sliced would never be
- 4:16:27achieved and then look at us now.
- 4:16:29I don't think anybody. But I guess what I'm getting at
- 4:16:34is the history of humanity is tied with people going out and
- 4:16:38doing what others said just was not possible.
- 4:16:41And I think that that tradition is still alive and I think we
- 4:16:44better I ain't forgot. I'm not going to take anybody
- 4:16:51here, but as well as Marc and recs.
- 4:16:54Do you actually think that you're going to live to see the
- 4:16:57day where we actually colonize planets?
- 4:16:59That will you see it? Or you're just being part of
- 4:17:04that? You won't be a part of the
- 4:17:06adventure. No, probably not.
- 4:17:09I am proud to be pension. But what, what what do you know
- 4:17:20why? We are part of that Adventure?
- 4:17:22We are the everything leading up to the next right?
- 4:17:26Thing we do is part of that Adventure, Leonardo drawing his
- 4:17:30flying machine, part of that Adventure.
- 4:17:32We're all part of the adventure that has Humanity but it is
- 4:17:37ongoing and that's what I believe in.
- 4:17:40That's that's where I put my results of an, an an answer if I
- 4:17:46put my confidence in so, you know, maybe it's all for
- 4:17:50nothing, maybe a ride bread. You know what do we do?
- 4:17:54Do we sit down and talk, right? I would rather try and fail than
- 4:17:59sit down and accept, you know, it's all pointless kind of thing
- 4:18:04and end, the whole point is to see how far we can go.
- 4:18:08We don't know, we don't know how far we can go, let's find out.
- 4:18:13And yeah, that's going to be well beyond my lifetime, but
- 4:18:16that's part of it, went out of something bigger than ourselves
- 4:18:19question. When you guys are done, go
- 4:18:23ahead. You want to pay the Mark, I
- 4:18:25appreciate the offer and some couple minutes guys, but I'll
- 4:18:28let Brett and Adam get their product out.
- 4:18:33Go ahead. Adam Sabrett part of your
- 4:18:37question. Was the god door and you said
- 4:18:39that it's Jesus. What?
- 4:18:40This is something I've been interested in and maybe it's
- 4:18:43something we could talk longer on at another time.
- 4:18:46But when did Jesus ever claim to be?
- 4:18:49God, like, is that something he was recorded as saying or is
- 4:18:53that something that was attributed to him afterwards?
- 4:18:57There are some other Christian groups out there that believe
- 4:19:00Jesus is God's son, believe that he's accepted into the oven, but
- 4:19:04that's a, that's a pretty intense discussion.
- 4:19:07We can have some time with you. Like, Adam.
- 4:19:09I'll answer it briefly for you. He might work in Italy,
- 4:19:11confirmed that he was God. He said that before Abraham was
- 4:19:16I am and I am, is the known Hebrew name, how they reference
- 4:19:21God for millennium. So he was declaring, that moment
- 4:19:25that he was the Hebrew God of Israel.
- 4:19:26How does, how are you interpreting that as Jesus
- 4:19:30claiming to be the word that the letter?
- 4:19:35I, in the letter word? Am I am, is the name.
- 4:19:39God used with the children of Israel.
- 4:19:43Right. But you have to explain to me
- 4:19:45why that is interpreted as Jesus claiming to be God, because
- 4:19:49Jesus said before Abraham was, I am just got an explanation.
- 4:19:53He was just restating the salsa. What God Said, the burning bush
- 4:19:57to know what is interpreted as evidence that Jesus is claiming
- 4:20:01to be God, because Jesus was claiming to be, I am, I am was
- 4:20:06the Hebrew god of the Old Testament.
- 4:20:07That's what I'm trying to explain.
- 4:20:09This should be an interesting longer conversation because I
- 4:20:13don't interpret that as Jesus saying, I exclusively and God in
- 4:20:17any way. Like I don't see that all.
- 4:20:19That's well. Okay.
- 4:20:22It's just how any human would have taken it so you can send
- 4:20:25that to any Huber off the time. They would have known that you
- 4:20:28were claiming to be God or putting yourself on par with
- 4:20:30God. At least I would be Blasphemous.
- 4:20:32But Jesus said, I and the father are one or something like that.
- 4:20:38Right. He did also say, yes, I and the
- 4:20:40father are one and so is that something you're interpreting?
- 4:20:43Jesus is claiming that he is literally got Jesus.
- 4:20:47Himself is literally God, yes. Oh yes, absolutely.
- 4:20:50He does several times where it's from Jesus specifically where he
- 4:20:58declares that he's got, it might be an interesting topic to get
- 4:21:01into death phone cuz I actually want to bust out my Bible and
- 4:21:03kind of worried about cuz I don't know what's interesting to
- 4:21:05me. Like I never saw Jesus is
- 4:21:07claiming to be God, but I got to see how it's interpreted that
- 4:21:13way, but I just don't really sit down with you.
- 4:21:16And actually Rex could probably join us.
- 4:21:18Maybe we could do a private session on streamyard, that's
- 4:21:22not broadcast it, but I do have to wrap up on fortunately.
- 4:21:26I've been gone for almost four and a half hours.
- 4:21:27It's almost midnight and I have to farm early in the morning
- 4:21:31problems. Would you have an issue with me?
- 4:21:37Putting the stream up on the radio?
- 4:21:39Cuz I think this was a really productive one, like everybody
- 4:21:42in here was pretty awesome and I, I got to stay Mark.
- 4:21:45Your optimism is very contagious, very good.
- 4:21:48Anyway, there's a chance Anyone is always available to download
- 4:21:54this and and use it as they will.
- 4:21:58Thank you. I just I don't say to talk to
- 4:22:01me, just say it has a style if you're giving to sort of
- 4:22:05fatalism and I don't think, you know, if we gave in to fight
- 4:22:10with him in the past, we would never thought anyway.
- 4:22:12So I don't think that we should quit or stop trying or something
- 4:22:16to do the best for Humanity. It's just it seems like you
- 4:22:19managed these repeated itself over and over anytime we come
- 4:22:23far humans tend to destroy anything that they make as good
- 4:22:27or make it into a weapon. By the way, guys tomorrow night
- 4:22:30for the latter night and we only have one person willing to come
- 4:22:38up and defend the flat-earth position could be a very short
- 4:22:42night, but tomorrow night, Christians and atheists are
- 4:22:46encouraged to gather on one side over the globe position and
- 4:22:52we're going to try to get flat earthers to come.
- 4:22:54Join us. However, it has been a hard task
- 4:22:57trying to locate Mark, didn't you have a pretty prominent
- 4:23:01debate with the flat earth guy? Nice & Thompson Austin weeks.
- 4:23:09It took one step into the ring against me anymore, so so 2007,
- 4:23:25if he runs into somebody to ask good questions and he wants he
- 4:23:29just never never dies in. For ya, find a fun topic.
- 4:23:36Eratosthenes is good, it'll probably be a long show so kick
- 4:23:49in whenever you can I got your next show.
- 4:23:59Control Friday. I usually have my stuff
- 4:24:01scheduled up there but I got to be honest with you, I'll be more
- 4:24:05than happy to come in cuz I like hanging out with you Proverbs.
- 4:24:08But I don't have very good experiences with flat earthers.
- 4:24:11I seem very agitated and paranoid and they just keep
- 4:24:15blabbing and don't want to ever stop.
- 4:24:17So I hope that's not what we're going to deal with.
- 4:24:20If I have to, what I'll do is I'll put one person up at a time
- 4:24:24and let them speak and keep everybody else backstage and
- 4:24:27rotate it. If people on a flat Earth
- 4:24:30position, just can't cooperate. Hopefully, we don't have to go
- 4:24:33to that extreme, but again, it might not be an issue because
- 4:24:37only one flat earther is possibly going to show up.
- 4:24:40It may just be atheist vs. Christians again, can I show up
- 4:24:45and just hugged and say nothing? If you don't do, I've never
- 4:24:53actually spoken but if any of them are always on their
- 4:24:57debating it, I tried asking in a Discord server room and they
- 4:25:03were very rude. They thought I was a flat
- 4:25:05earther, regardless of how many times I tried to express to
- 4:25:08them. That I'm very much a glober
- 4:25:11Would you mind if I ask you a few questions about the Flat
- 4:25:15Earth or do you know if he believes?
- 4:25:16There's a physical shield around the earth and that sits on
- 4:25:20something or is it just complete frisbee?
- 4:25:23That's a good question. Missing Mater you out in the
- 4:25:26audience, missing models are possible.
- 4:25:28Flat-earther tomorrow to bring to the table.
- 4:25:35That's going to put all of us to go.
- 4:25:37And I got to take that brown and it's pretty Rowdy.
- 4:25:48So it's definitely people from but it's not a flatter.
- 4:25:51You guys are already known and Discord.
- 4:25:53Can you just plug it for me? I won't try to convert anybody
- 4:25:58tomorrow night, probably like you guys are all welcome but we
- 4:26:10don't need any more globers. We specifically need
- 4:26:13flat-earthers. Glow part, I believe the Golden
- 4:26:17globe, globe, cook myself, as a Globetrotter.
- 4:26:29Their arguments are so monotonous and if you need
- 4:26:32someone to steal man and I can do it without missing a beat it
- 4:26:34because they really only have very few arguments and I've
- 4:26:37heard enough Watson, what's banter that I could even make it
- 4:26:40for tomorrow night to be a witch.
- 4:26:42I actually 100% believe you and we may take you up on that a
- 4:26:48gentleman. I'm going to end the stream and
- 4:26:50I hope all of you guys have a great night.
- 4:26:51Thanks for having us.
