A quirky mailbox on Shell Island since 2003 has become a heartfelt time capsule, collecting thousands of personal messages from visitors. The Wrightsville Beach Museum of History is unveiling a new exhibit, “I WAS HERE,” showcasing these stories and the human connections they reveal. Curated by museum staff and UNCW students, with help from Junior Docents, the exhibit opens August 4th at the Seapath Yacht Club, complete with a cookout reception.
