- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Well, we have a few things to talk about, but before that, I want to thank plus 500.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Plus 500 is where we get our quotes from.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I'm going to quote up the markets.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: It's as of 7:30 this morning.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: I have some good news for you.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Soybeans are actually having a good morning compared to what they were yesterday.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Soybeans rallied back a lot from yesterday's lows.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Soybeans are currently up nine cents, getting the no back to 1250.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: But no's going to start to move away.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: We're going to move to January and March here.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Corn down one, wheat down a half.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Pretty quiet overnight, but beans the winner.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Will beans close higher on the day?
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Stick around for Ag Squack in the afternoon with Davis Michelson.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Stock market SP up 32, NASDAQ up.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Interest rates are definitely starting to calm down.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Bonds are rallying when bonds rally.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Interest rates are going down.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: I wanted to talk to you a little bit about silver looking at silver futures.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: $53.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Y'all remember when silver was a lot higher this year?
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Well, not so much.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Woke up early this morning, looked at the markets, and I checked in with our friends at Trade the News.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Trade the News is how we get uh audio squawk.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Trade the News.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Proud user of Trade the News.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Been a client for 25 years.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Tell the trade the news, boys.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: The Ag Squawk crew sent you over.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: All right, let's get into the show.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: First, we'll do the livestock.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Yesterday, another upday in cattle.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Cattle 231.20 up 75.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Feeders 348.50 up 60.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Hogs.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: This is a very big pain point.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Hogs down 85.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Reading some news, looking at the uh wires.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Hogs approaching a fresh six-year low.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Jim Wiesmeyer and I spoke about why aren't people eating pork?
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And if you'd like to learn more about that, that episode is now premium.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Two two ways, stay ahead.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: You can join Agble Intel.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: You'll still get Wiesmeyer's video there.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Jim and I sit down every Sunday, but Jim is moving to the premium side.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Anyone on Jim's list?
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: It is time, please, to move over.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: There's a coupon code.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Go to Wiesmeyer's Perspective,$199 till the end of the year.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Then Jim's raising the price to$300.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: So if you've enjoyed Jim's content, head over there.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: We're doing markets.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: He's doing DC policy.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Boy, I have a feeling Jim's going to have some more breaking news about NAS and what happened with that crazy USDA debacle.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Moving forward, yeah.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: What happened to silver and gold?
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Looking at gold.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Gold's real close to going under 4,000.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And silver is approaching the$50 level.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Now, full disclosure, there's a lot of different ways to buy silver.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: The CME group has a hundred-ounce silver contract, then they have a thousand-ounce silver contract, and then there's a five thousand ounce silver contract, which just became too big for many of us to trade when silver was moving five, six dollars a day.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: For example, you own five thousand ounces of silver, it moves a dollar, that's five thousand dollars.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: There was days silver moved ten dollars, so fifty thousand dollar move on one futures contract, just mind-boggling.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: I'm wondering, I'm thinking, where will silver be at the end of the year?
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: I personally might accumulate a couple hundred ounce contracts and buy some silver.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Many people go to the coin store and buy silver.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Not a recommendation, just what the heck made it 121 and now it's 51, right?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: What changed in silver?
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: The one winner here, though, is copper.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Dr.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Copper by far outperformed all of them.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Copper up today when gold and silver are down.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: All right, moving along here.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Jim Wiesmeyer provided this weather this morning.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: If you sign up for the uh Wiesmeyer list, I like this.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: I like the way Jim laid this out.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: He goes over the eastern corn belt, the western corn belt, what's going on in wheat and feedlots, northern plains, mid-south, northern Brazil, South Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Now, all eyes on weather are going to be South American weather.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Uh, you can find this map under the Wiesmeyer section.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I think he got that email out around 6:45 this morning.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Jim Wiesmeyer giving us weather.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, Jim's doing a really unique job with some things, and big shout out to Craig Solberg.
