- 3:43SPEAKER_05: And then Julie is a fairly new member, and I would like to just, you know, I I'm not wanting I'm not trying to embarrass you, but uh, she's also one of the major sponsors.
- 3:52SPEAKER_09: So not that you've ever done that, right?
- 3:55SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 3:56SPEAKER_05: But I've known Judy Julie a long time.
- 3:58SPEAKER_05: I actually went to school with her older brother.

- 4:12SPEAKER_09: Congratulations.
- 4:13SPEAKER_05: Glow up, yeah.
- 4:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I was saying grow up.
- 4:17SPEAKER_09: Looks you right in the eye for the wrong thing.
- 4:21SPEAKER_05: No, I'm kidding.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: Thank you.

- 4:31SPEAKER_05: Um I got him, Ren.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 4:34SPEAKER_05: But and today, so be thinking in your mind what kind of songs that you like, because we are a music program, so what kind of music, what kind of bands?
- 4:40SPEAKER_05: Uh, because Ren has got magic fingers over there, and she can pull up just about it, yeah, she can pull up just about anything.
- 4:46SPEAKER_07: Um, you didn't play bad boys last week.
- 4:49SPEAKER_07: Yeah, well that's something besides bad boys, yeah.
- 4:52SPEAKER_05: But yeah, be thinking about that.
- 4:54SPEAKER_05: And uh we're gonna talk about the plans for the future for all the podcasts as we as we move forward.
- 5:00SPEAKER_05: We have some great guests on tap for next year for the wake-up call.
- 5:03SPEAKER_05: Um in between uh surgery and stuff, but uh is there is there is there anything that you guys uh want to ask me while you're all here together that way you can gang up on me.
- 5:15SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I've got a question.
- 5:16SPEAKER_08: First of all, how dare you?
- 5:18SPEAKER_08: What I do now I'm sorry, that's just a quote from our our favorite show, The Office.
- 5:26SPEAKER_08: So does anybody have any questions for me?
- 5:28SPEAKER_05: How dare you?
- 5:30SPEAKER_05: How dare you ask me that question?
- 5:32SPEAKER_05: I'm so sorry, I don't know what I was thinking.
- 5:34SPEAKER_05: You open yourself.
- 5:34SPEAKER_05: Are you saying they can ask you questions too?
- 5:37SPEAKER_08: Uh yeah, I mean I imagine anybody.
- 5:40SPEAKER_08: Anybody.
- 5:41SPEAKER_05: Well, AJ, I thought you were gonna say something.
- 5:44SPEAKER_08: Well I was, and then I I got a question for AJ.
- 5:47SPEAKER_08: Is that Bigfoot on your shirt?
- 5:48SPEAKER_07: This is Bigfoot.
- 5:49SPEAKER_07: I love it.
- 5:50SPEAKER_08: It's almost like a Polynesian Bigfoot.
- 5:52SPEAKER_08: Oh wow.
- 5:54SPEAKER_07: He's uh he's actually a North um like Alaska native.
- 5:58SPEAKER_07: Oh Bigfoot, like the um like Northwest Coast natives.
- 6:02SPEAKER_07: It's their art with a Bigfoot.
- 6:05SPEAKER_07: I can see it now.
- 6:06SPEAKER_07: I think Bigfoot's a big deal in indigenous culture.
- 6:09SPEAKER_07: That's cool.
- 6:10SPEAKER_07: Yeah, like if you go really Yeah, it's fun.
- 6:12SPEAKER_07: It's like um, it's just one he's like a cult classic character, you know.
- 6:16SPEAKER_08: So cryptids.
- 6:17SPEAKER_08: They're called cryptids, like like uh Mothman or the Jersey Devil.
- 6:22SPEAKER_08: Yeah, or Mothman scares me.
- 6:25SPEAKER_08: Oh, Mothman.
- 6:28SPEAKER_08: I love Mothman in the same way he freaks me out.
- 6:30SPEAKER_06: That's like Jersey though, or something, right?
- 6:33SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 6:34SPEAKER_08: Definitely up in the the east coast.
- 6:36SPEAKER_08: Yeah, that he has a building.
- 6:39SPEAKER_05: Would you tell Ken to speak up?
- 6:40SPEAKER_08: She can.
- 6:42SPEAKER_05: Then I have a message for you.
- 6:44SPEAKER_07: Jersey's kind of scary.
- 6:47SPEAKER_06: Right?
- 6:47SPEAKER_06: Scary enough without Mothman.
- 6:49SPEAKER_08: Gosh, all those trees.
- 6:52SPEAKER_08: It really is scary.
- 6:54SPEAKER_08: Like I came I came from camping in October in upstate New York, and like there's all these apple trees, and at night the apples are falling, and you see these big black things in the house.
- 7:05SPEAKER_08: It's pretty scary.
- 7:06SPEAKER_08: Of course, they would have like the scariest cryptid monsters.
- 7:09SPEAKER_05: I I have had an apple fall on my tree or on my tent when I was camping before.
- 7:14SPEAKER_05: Scared like one or two o'clock in the morning, scared the Pewadin out of me.
- 7:19SPEAKER_05: You know what?
- 7:19SPEAKER_06: I used to live in Virginia, and we were we were camping, tent camping in the fall in the forest in Virginia one time, and we had a fire, a little campfire there, and so you get that campfire blindness, right?
- 7:33SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 7:34SPEAKER_06: You can see in the campfire, but you can't, everything else is totally blind.
- 7:37SPEAKER_06: And so we're sitting around the campfire, and then we we hear this noise.
- 7:42SPEAKER_06: We just hear shh and we're like, uh, hello?
- 7:50SPEAKER_06: Hello! Hey buddy, what's up?
- 7:53SPEAKER_06: We don't have flashlights, we've got you know little battery-operated lanterns, but you can't direct that light.
- 7:59SPEAKER_06: Who calls Cameron without a flashlight?
- 8:04SPEAKER_06: Apparently, and so we're trying to like get some light out there, and every time we talk or whatever, it would stop.
- 8:10SPEAKER_06: And so we're like, okay, and and we can't find it, and and it starts again.
- 8:15SPEAKER_06: You know, we kind of settle down and then you were like, oh no, dude, who is that?
- 8:22SPEAKER_06: And so we finally got out away from the fire far enough to where we saw a couple of little eyes, and that's what it was.
- 8:30SPEAKER_06: It was like a raccoon.
- 8:31SPEAKER_03: Oh, stuff like those leaves.
- 8:33SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 8:34SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 8:35SPEAKER_06: But it sounded just like footsteps, like human footsteps.
- 8:38SPEAKER_05: That's the first creepy.
- 8:41SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 8:41SPEAKER_05: All right.
- 8:42SPEAKER_05: Well, Julie, you got any stories like that on camping screens?
- 8:45SPEAKER_05: I don't have any stories like that.
- 8:46SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I can't remember most of the camping trips I went on when I was younger, but we won't go into why, but oh, I know why.
- 8:54SPEAKER_05: We were close to the same class.
- 8:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 8:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I don't remember.
- 8:59SPEAKER_05: But you're older.
- 9:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I am.
- 9:00SPEAKER_05: I'm much older.
- 9:02SPEAKER_05: Much, much older.
- 9:03SPEAKER_05: Put up a brown line, Wilderness Park was the party place.
- 9:06SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 9:06SPEAKER_05: That's when I went to see you guys, you and Scotty in the play midsummer.
- 9:11SPEAKER_05: That was the first time I'd actually been into the amphitheater itself.
- 9:14SPEAKER_05: And then I thought, uh, yeah, this is, you know, I've done a keg of beer right here on this property center.
- 9:20SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 9:21SPEAKER_05: That's actually really sweet.
- 9:22SPEAKER_05: We did.
- 9:24SPEAKER_05: Oh my god.
- 9:25SPEAKER_09: It's really sweet.
- 9:30SPEAKER_09: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 9:31SPEAKER_09: I had that discussion in one of my other parties.
- 9:33SPEAKER_05: Do you want me to talk to your mother?
- 9:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and they all knew your parents.
- 9:37SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
- 9:37SPEAKER_09: Oh, yeah.
- 9:38SPEAKER_05: My dad at that time, president of the Chamber of Commerce, uh, when I'd get home, he'd go, What were you doing?
- 9:44SPEAKER_05: So I had to say what I was doing because he knew I was.
- 9:48SPEAKER_05: He was baiting me, yeah.
- 9:50SPEAKER_08: You can lie to me now and I'll find out later.
- 9:52SPEAKER_06: Or I'm giving you the opportunity to be honest.
- 9:55SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 9:55SPEAKER_06: Cut me on my clothes.
- 9:56SPEAKER_06: That could be some clever conditioning.
- 9:58SPEAKER_06: Even if he hasn't heard about you doing anything, he could just come home and say, uh, what were you doing?
- 10:04SPEAKER_07: Is there something you're gonna tell me?
- 10:06SPEAKER_07: My my cousin Dana and I accidentally told our parents we were staying.
- 10:12SPEAKER_07: Uh what did we do?
- 10:13SPEAKER_07: We were we we said we were gonna stay at you know each other's homes so that you know we could spend the night and then our parents thought that we were at the other's home.
- 10:20SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 10:20SPEAKER_07: That that they wouldn't check up on us.
- 10:22SPEAKER_07: Give each other an alibi.
- 10:23SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 10:24SPEAKER_05: I thought you were in the middle of the city.
- 10:24SPEAKER_07: And then we would go and leave, right?
- 10:28SPEAKER_07: Um but uh one time my mom, I think, called my aunt just out of the blue for something, and she's like, Oh, I thought the girls were with you.
- 10:42SPEAKER_07: And that was the end of it.
- 10:44SPEAKER_08: That that was always a plan to know these.
- 10:47SPEAKER_08: I heard my friends would do that, and it gave me so much anxiety because I would always think it just takes one call for it all to complete.
- 10:53SPEAKER_08: Many years.
- 10:55SPEAKER_08: Many years?
- 10:55SPEAKER_08: Oh, okay.
- 10:56SPEAKER_08: Dang.
- 10:57SPEAKER_08: Call finally came.
- 10:58SPEAKER_05: My senior year in high school, I did a lot of digit games.
- 11:00SPEAKER_05: That's pretty good.
- 11:01SPEAKER_05: A lot.
- 11:01SPEAKER_05: I mean, I had always got all my credits that I needed.
- 11:04SPEAKER_05: My mom was smart to help me make sure I got all that done.
- 11:07SPEAKER_05: So my senior year was really a cakewalk.
- 11:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:09SPEAKER_05: But I ditched a lot, right?
- 11:11SPEAKER_05: And so we're home one day.
- 11:12SPEAKER_05: Roy, my buddy and I, Roy, Roy Bruno, he's living in Tucson.
- 11:17SPEAKER_05: And he listens, I hope.
- 11:19SPEAKER_05: That's you.
- 11:19SPEAKER_05: Maybe not.
- 11:20SPEAKER_05: But we were home and I saw my dad pull up outside.
- 11:23SPEAKER_05: I'm like, oh crap! So there was a sack of bowl newspapers that I had collected for school.
- 11:29SPEAKER_05: I told Roy, I said, Come on, I grabbed those newspapers and we started out the door, and my dad goes, Hey, what are you doing here?
- 11:35SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, Oh, I had to come home and get these, right?
- 11:40SPEAKER_05: So off we went, I thought, wow, dodged a bullet.
- 11:44SPEAKER_05: That night I get home, my dad's in his prone position on his belly with the big pillows, I mean, you know, in his boxer shorts, the big pillows up under him, watching TV, right?
- 11:53SPEAKER_05: He comes walking in, my mom's sitting in the chair crocheting, and my dad goes, give me your keys.
- 11:59SPEAKER_05: I just reached, I knew, right?
- 12:01SPEAKER_05: Just reached my pocket, threw my key, and my mom's like, so my mom had no idea what was going on, but I didn't question.
- 12:11SPEAKER_05: I had it, I was grounded for like a month.
- 12:13SPEAKER_05: I thought all right, we better play a song.
- 12:16SPEAKER_05: What uh anybody got a favorite on top of your mind for mine right now that Rin could put?
- 12:21SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 12:21SPEAKER_08: I've actually got one that's just kind of related to the conversation we're having.
- 12:24SPEAKER_08: Go for it.
- 12:25SPEAKER_08: All right.
- 12:27SPEAKER_08: That's why I have you.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: I don't mind of the guy dancing with my girl.
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: That's why.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: I know I'm out pretty well.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: But I know something let's get a bit of the kids all.
- 13:36SPEAKER_03: I know if I go into the hood I have been blamed forever, I've got to mind I'm going to win.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: But I don't get to go to the house.
- 15:24SPEAKER_07: He gave him his given away if he couldn't make it.
- 15:27SPEAKER_08: The the Travis Scott concert.
- 15:29SPEAKER_08: I had a friend too who sold his tickets because he couldn't go.
- 15:32SPEAKER_08: And thank God.
- 15:37SPEAKER_05: What are we we're supposed to be doing, David's.
- 15:39SPEAKER_05: What are we doing?
- 15:40SPEAKER_08: David Knees, David.
- 15:45SPEAKER_04: Just what is David Knees?
- 15:48SPEAKER_04: According to Webster's dictionary.
- 15:51SPEAKER_04: Well, you're not gonna find it there.
- 15:54SPEAKER_04: According to Google.
- 15:57SPEAKER_04: Huh?
- 15:58SPEAKER_04: No.
- 15:59SPEAKER_04: Wikipedia?
- 16:01SPEAKER_04: Not there either, huh?
- 16:03SPEAKER_04: According to my script, David Me's is David's own language.
- 16:08SPEAKER_04: A word of the week.
- 16:10SPEAKER_04: Something like this.
- 16:12SPEAKER_05: Alright, I know you guys have heard of a couch potato.
- 16:15SPEAKER_05: Well, this is a mouse potato.
- 16:16SPEAKER_05: Can you guess what that is?
- 16:18SPEAKER_05: Mouse potato.
- 16:19SPEAKER_05: Mouse potato.
- 16:20SPEAKER_05: Mouse potato.
- 16:21SPEAKER_05: That's the online version of the couch potato.
- 16:32SPEAKER_04: See?
- 16:32SPEAKER_04: I told you.
- 16:33SPEAKER_04: Use that word in a sentence this week.
- 16:36SPEAKER_04: I dare ya.
- 16:37SPEAKER_04: This has been David Knees.
- 16:39SPEAKER_05: Perfect for after.
- 16:41SPEAKER_08: I think I did get it.
- 16:42SPEAKER_08: The David Nees music was coming up, but you can hear it.
- 16:44SPEAKER_08: AJ going.
- 16:45SPEAKER_08: That was great.
- 16:47SPEAKER_05: Thank you, Nick.
- 16:48SPEAKER_05: Thank you, AJ, for my next for 22.
- 16:51SPEAKER_05: That was pretty amazing.
- 16:53SPEAKER_05: Oh, crap.
- 16:53SPEAKER_05: Alright, well, real quick, I want to talk to Ken about um what we got going on with the uh mail encounters.
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we want to keep it kind of short.
- 17:02SPEAKER_05: And can we say that we're gonna we can just say we're in a bar until we get everything confirmed, right?
- 17:07SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 17:07SPEAKER_06: We're working on a really cool interview that happens to be maybe called tragers.
- 17:18SPEAKER_05: You can say this, don't tell Rin secrets, right?
- 17:23SPEAKER_08: You guys, I said taters.
- 17:26SPEAKER_05: Obviously said taters.
- 17:27SPEAKER_08: I'm hungry, I wanted some taters, some going off that country.
- 17:31SPEAKER_05: We don't want to jinx it, right?
- 17:32SPEAKER_05: No.
- 17:34SPEAKER_05: But yeah, that would be real cool, right?
- 17:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:39SPEAKER_05: And it's gonna be every Thursday.
- 17:41SPEAKER_05: We're gonna record every Thursday about uh four o'clock, four or four thirty.
- 17:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:44SPEAKER_05: Right around happy hour.
- 17:46SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 17:47SPEAKER_05: Do we go happy hour?
- 17:49SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:49SPEAKER_05: I like it.
- 17:50SPEAKER_05: So yeah.
- 17:51SPEAKER_06: Two guys hanging out in the bar.
- 17:53SPEAKER_06: Just guys being bros, being in a production.
- 17:55SPEAKER_06: That's right.
- 17:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 17:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah, being bros, that's exactly what could go wrong.
- 18:01SPEAKER_05: Alcohol, two men, and I mean it's perfect.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:06SPEAKER_05: And we've got a keychain that looks like men's testicles.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:15SPEAKER_08: You guys ever see those trucks where people put those like little things?
- 18:19SPEAKER_08: That's where my kid sent me a page because that's what we need.
- 18:24SPEAKER_08: Wow.
- 18:26SPEAKER_08: Who sees those and goes, oh now that's classic?
- 18:29SPEAKER_08: I need those in my pocket.
- 18:32SPEAKER_08: That's how people know if our the boy the car is a boy.
- 18:36SPEAKER_08: Or I want my face.
- 18:38SPEAKER_07: What do you guys think about putting your faces on the box?
- 18:41SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:42SPEAKER_05: We are gonna put them on each nut.
- 18:43SPEAKER_05: Nut one?
- 18:45SPEAKER_05: Nut one too.
- 18:46SPEAKER_05: And then when it's breast cancer month, we're gonna get t-shirts made that have a boob.
- 18:50SPEAKER_05: Boob one and boob two.
- 18:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 18:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I like it.
- 18:53SPEAKER_05: And all the proceeds we're gonna get will give to uh breast cancer and whatever.
- 18:57SPEAKER_05: But all for a good cause.
- 18:59SPEAKER_05: And there's testicle cancer.
- 19:04SPEAKER_05: Testicular.
- 19:04SPEAKER_05: Testicular cancer.
- 19:05SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
- 19:07SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
- 19:08SPEAKER_05: Thank God we've got a classy person here.
- 19:11SPEAKER_09: I know how to pronounce testicular.
- 19:14SPEAKER_05: Alright, we better play another song real quick.
- 19:16SPEAKER_05: We're almost out of time of the segment, but I want to we'll talk to Julie a little bit too about the uh the glow-up.
- 19:21SPEAKER_05: Not the grow up.
- 19:24SPEAKER_05: Glow up.
- 19:25SPEAKER_05: I was gonna say it.
- 19:27SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 19:29SPEAKER_05: Thinking of a I don't know what I'm thinking of.
- 19:31SPEAKER_05: Colonic.
- 19:32SPEAKER_05: Hi, Colonic! That's right.
- 19:34SPEAKER_05: Somebody give me one real quick.
- 19:36SPEAKER_05: What do you got over there, brother?
- 19:37SPEAKER_05: Did I catch it totally off guard?
- 19:38SPEAKER_06: You did.
- 19:39SPEAKER_06: Does anybody have a song?
- 19:41SPEAKER_06: I do.
- 19:42SPEAKER_06: Tell me, brother.
- 19:42SPEAKER_06: No particular reason other than I like her version of it.
- 19:45SPEAKER_06: I think they actually wrote it for her or something.
- 19:48SPEAKER_06: Anyway, feist inside and out.
- 19:50SPEAKER_06: Feist?
- 19:51SPEAKER_05: Is it is that is it on Spotify?
- 19:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 19:53SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 19:54SPEAKER_05: Feist.
- 19:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_05: Thank God.
- 19:56SPEAKER_05: Thank God I'm not running looking for it because I wouldn't even know how to spell it.
- 19:59SPEAKER_08: Oh, I got you.
- 20:00SPEAKER_06: I got you.
- 20:00SPEAKER_06: I think her version's just so much cooler than Beiji's version.
- 20:03SPEAKER_06: Oh, fantastic.
- 20:29SPEAKER_11: Don't give me all myself for what you're trying to do.
- 20:34SPEAKER_11: If an omit and ever pain grows inside me, it's enough to leave me crying in the rain.
- 20:42SPEAKER_11: Love you forever, but you're driving me insane.
- 20:46SPEAKER_11: I'm hanging on.
- 20:54SPEAKER_11: Has got the power.
- 20:56SPEAKER_11: Too many lovers in one lifetime ain't good for you.
- 21:02SPEAKER_11: You treat me like a vision in the night.
- 21:05SPEAKER_11: Someone that is stand behind you in your world, ain't working right.
- 21:10SPEAKER_11: I ain't no vision, I'm the girl who loves you inside enough.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: I love no other way.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: What are we gonna do if we lose that fire?
- 21:34SPEAKER_11: Wrap myself up and take me home again.
- 21:38SPEAKER_11: Too many heartaches in my lifetime ain't good for me.
- 21:44SPEAKER_11: You figure it's the love that keeps you warm.
- 21:47SPEAKER_11: Let this moment be forever.
- 21:50SPEAKER_11: We won't ever feel strong.
- 21:53SPEAKER_11: I ain't no vision, I'm the girl who loves you.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: Don't shut it up.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: I can't hear a lot, I can't hear a lot.
- 22:28SPEAKER_11: That's what I'm crying for.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: You can't change the way I feel my life to my sorrow.
- 22:40SPEAKER_11: Oh that candle, I will burn and get more.
- 22:46SPEAKER_11: Stand between my little logs.
- 22:48SPEAKER_11: And no matter how you hurt me, I will love you till I die.
- 22:54SPEAKER_11: I ain't no vision on the girl.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: Inside an eye.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Inside an eye.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Inside an eye.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Inside an eye.
- 24:11SPEAKER_08: Inside an eye.
- 24:15SPEAKER_08: Oh, I adored that one.
- 24:16SPEAKER_08: Thank you, Ken.
- 24:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 24:17SPEAKER_05: You're welcome.
- 24:18SPEAKER_05: Nice job.
- 24:19SPEAKER_05: Nice job, Ken.
- 24:20SPEAKER_05: I tried.
- 24:21SPEAKER_05: I take almost all the bad stuff back that I almost.
- 24:25SPEAKER_05: You can never take all because it's not appropriate.
- 24:30SPEAKER_05: Julie Blair.
- 24:33SPEAKER_05: My sister from another mother.
- 24:35SPEAKER_08: A sister from another mystery.
- 24:37SPEAKER_07: Oh, is that what it is?
- 24:38SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 24:38SPEAKER_07: Thank you.
- 24:40SPEAKER_07: Mother, brother, sister, mister.
- 24:41SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 24:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 24:42SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
- 24:46SPEAKER_05: I have lots of help to keep me in line.
- 24:51SPEAKER_05: And you'll notice, I mean, I'm I'm pumped up enough today, but sometimes I start to doze off and Rin reaches over.
- 24:57SPEAKER_09: Perhaps that's why I have this stick to do that.
- 25:00SPEAKER_09: I've seen her do that actually.
- 25:01SPEAKER_05: I've gonna get her, after the break, Christmas break, I'm getting her a wiffle ball bat.
- 25:05SPEAKER_05: One of those plastics.
- 25:08SPEAKER_08: So she can just those are fun too, because they really don't hurt.
- 25:13SPEAKER_05: Well, I guess I'm gonna find out.
- 25:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 25:15SPEAKER_05: I'll make it hurt.
- 25:17SPEAKER_05: So, Miss Julie, I I I've got her.
- 26:01SPEAKER_05: Well, we might have time to go ahead and get that song on that uh you had talked about the Bee Gees, but I want to talk about Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate.
- 26:08SPEAKER_05: How long have you been doing that?
- 26:09SPEAKER_05: It was it was not better before.
- 26:12SPEAKER_05: It recently has become to Better Homes and Gardens.
- 26:15SPEAKER_05: Well, not recently, but it's been a few years.
- 26:16SPEAKER_05: But you started out as something else.
- 26:18SPEAKER_09: I started out, well, I started out uh as just Golden Door Realty.
- 26:21SPEAKER_09: Golden Door Realty.
- 26:21SPEAKER_09: And then joined the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate franchise uh six years ago.
- 26:26SPEAKER_09: And um then went downtown.
- 26:29SPEAKER_09: I know beautiful renovated downtown farming.
- 26:32SPEAKER_09: That was fun, wasn't it?
- 26:33SPEAKER_09: Recording.
- 26:35SPEAKER_08: And then going, oh my god, that guy almost went right through the intersection.
- 26:40SPEAKER_05: Break slamming horns honking.
- 26:41SPEAKER_09: Oh my gosh, the roundabouts now are just so entertaining.
- 26:44SPEAKER_09: It's just unbelievable.
- 26:45SPEAKER_05: I was there the other day for I don't know, a visit might have been when we were recording one of the glow-ups and uh the horn honked, and I everybody in back goes they're tired screech, and everybody in back goes running to the phone.
- 26:58SPEAKER_05: Of course! It's crazy.
- 27:01SPEAKER_09: People going on Main Street think they have the right-of-way, you know.
- 27:03SPEAKER_09: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:04SPEAKER_09: They do not be right in the middle of that roundabout and they'll just honk their horns.
- 27:07SPEAKER_09: Like, oh, you shouldn't be.
- 27:08SPEAKER_09: It's like, no.
- 27:10SPEAKER_09: I call it a rolling four-way stop.
- 27:13SPEAKER_08: The people who get it get to enjoy it because going through the roundabout is fun, but if you're just gonna be angry, it's like there's like three people going at once and you all cross each other, and it's just like and it works like just like a well.
- 27:26SPEAKER_05: It does work like a well-oiled machine when it's not.
- 27:28SPEAKER_09: Yeah, except when the big trucks go through and then we have the flashing lights at the one hand that say no, and here comes the big trucks.
- 27:37SPEAKER_06: You know, and oh man.
- 27:38SPEAKER_06: I know we have the lights, but do we have like the crossbar?
- 27:40SPEAKER_06: Maybe it happened to be the one.
- 27:42SPEAKER_06: That bars over, yeah.
- 27:43SPEAKER_09: But it's the length.
- 27:44SPEAKER_06: But you know, but but bring the bar down so those trucks can't go through.
- 27:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:50SPEAKER_09: It says no trucks longer than 45 feet, and I've asked the city of Farnham can say, just say no trucks.
- 27:54SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 27:55SPEAKER_09: Period.
- 27:55SPEAKER_09: And that way there's no discrepancy in because one busted a tire right in front of the office and hit the curve, hit that uh concrete planner, and it hit the sidewall, and just boom, it just blew the top.
- 28:06SPEAKER_05: When those truck tires go out, man, there's like a bomb going on.
- 28:09SPEAKER_09: That's horrifying.
- 28:10SPEAKER_09: I'm glad better homes and gardens.
- 28:12SPEAKER_05: Well, Louisa, okay.
- 28:13SPEAKER_08: Golden door.
- 28:14SPEAKER_05: Well, we appreciate you very much.
- 28:15SPEAKER_05: She also uh we're getting ready to go into a commercial break, and we have I'll be dang.
- 28:21SPEAKER_08: Sorry.
- 28:23SPEAKER_08: That was the feedback.
- 28:24SPEAKER_08: That was my fault.
- 28:25SPEAKER_05: Hey, you guys, you know, that's a great topic too.
- 28:27SPEAKER_05: That's a great topic for glow up that we should do.
- 28:29SPEAKER_05: I want to.
- 28:30SPEAKER_05: Uh, uh maybe a possible life.
- 28:33SPEAKER_05: I uh you did shared something you you think you were re-in you've been reincarnated yourself, Julie.
- 28:38SPEAKER_05: You honestly?
- 28:39SPEAKER_09: I do I believe it.
- 28:41SPEAKER_05: And and who do you think you were in three passion?
- 28:43SPEAKER_09: I don't know who, but I have this maybe we should say that for the show.
- 28:48SPEAKER_05: Maybe well, yeah, just give a tickler.
- 28:51SPEAKER_09: Oh, a major disaster.
- 28:54SPEAKER_05: Really?
- 28:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 28:56SPEAKER_08: Um and then Rin was talking about you think you So I was always born with a lot of like like displaced anger at injustice in the world.
- 29:07SPEAKER_08: Like I would watch movies.
- 29:08SPEAKER_08: I'd watch movies, and you know, the the main character would be like, you know, treated badly, and I'd be like, that's not right.
- 29:14SPEAKER_08: I wish I could go in there and beat everybody up.
- 29:17SPEAKER_08: And um, I don't know.
- 29:18SPEAKER_08: So I think in a past life I was somebody who was like really helpless and and and uh kicked around a lot, like a scullery maid or a picked on, yeah, or yeah, some sort of maybe you're one of Cinderella one of maybe you were a Cinderella in a past life where you just need your Prince Charming.
- 29:35SPEAKER_08: Or just needed some one nice person.
- 29:40SPEAKER_08: You know, really that's what changed Cinderella's life was just having one nice person in her life.
- 29:45SPEAKER_08: Be that nice person.
- 29:47SPEAKER_08: The mice?
- 29:48SPEAKER_08: The mice?
- 29:49SPEAKER_08: Okay, we're gonna have to have a Ren rance about Cinderella today.
- 29:55SPEAKER_08: Because you did not realize that Cinderella is my favorite Disney princess, but really, she is, yeah.
- 30:00SPEAKER_08: And I have a whole rant about it, so well, okay, we'll do it.
- 30:03SPEAKER_05: I'm a problem game with that.
- 30:04SPEAKER_05: We'll do it.
- 30:05SPEAKER_05: AJ, do you think you were have been uh you think you're born again?
- 30:08SPEAKER_05: I mean, what how does that feel uh with the Danae people?
- 30:11SPEAKER_05: I mean, that's kind of a that's kind of sacred, isn't it?
- 30:15SPEAKER_07: Well, I you know, I I don't want to say anything about that because I'm I don't know, I'm not well versed in tradition, so you know, speaking on that is not cool.
- 30:24SPEAKER_08: You know, you don't you don't speak for all people.
- 30:27SPEAKER_07: You'll you know, there's a certain tradition, and I'm sure I'm sure there's some that speaks to that in in one way or another, but you know, I'm not you know, I would I didn't grow up you know in the traditional um with the traditional ways, so I you know I don't want to speak on anything I'm not too.
- 30:41SPEAKER_05: I got you specific you know, we had we on your on your meet random uh meet uh AJ that comes out I think next week.
- 30:48SPEAKER_07: Oh yeah?
- 30:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I think we talk about your upbringing and what drove you.
- 30:52SPEAKER_05: If I remember, right?
- 30:53SPEAKER_07: I'm a I'm a complicated individual, I like to think.
- 30:56SPEAKER_08: I loved that response personally.
- 30:57SPEAKER_08: That was really level and level-headed and measured, and in all this chaos and depravity, you're showing us how to be ethical.
- 31:05SPEAKER_05: Tune in, tune in November the 29th.
- 31:08SPEAKER_05: That's when your episode, U and Jr.
- 31:10SPEAKER_05: Uh Styles, Sykes, Sykes, whatever his name is.
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 31:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he's gonna kill me too.
- 31:16SPEAKER_05: Ken, how about you, man?
- 31:18SPEAKER_05: You think you were uh in another life?
- 31:20SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 31:21SPEAKER_06: I don't know, hard to say.
- 31:22SPEAKER_06: I think maybe I was possessed by the spirit of a 60-year-old man when I was 10 years old.
- 31:30SPEAKER_06: Oh yeah, I got that too.
- 31:32SPEAKER_06: I was blonde.
- 31:32SPEAKER_06: I was a blonde kid, and my hair turned dark, and uh, I was really wise beyond what a child should be wise.
- 31:41SPEAKER_06: So that's pretty cool.
- 31:43SPEAKER_05: So there's a coup there's you've got to come and be on the glow up.
- 31:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you're gonna have to be on the glow up.
- 31:49SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Ren.
- 31:49SPEAKER_05: Oh, absolutely.
- 31:51SPEAKER_08: Well, um it'll just turn into me talking about Disney princesses, but okay.
- 31:55SPEAKER_05: When I was younger, there's lots of crazy things happened to me that but I couldn't tell you.
- 32:01SPEAKER_05: Like we went to visit New Orleans.
- 32:03SPEAKER_05: This is when I was, I don't know, late 20s, early 30s.
- 32:06SPEAKER_05: Um, my uncle and his wife and my wife at the time, we went to visit New Orleans and we stayed at the Marriott downtown.
- 32:12SPEAKER_05: New Orleans, right on the corner of Bourbon Street, right?
- 32:15SPEAKER_05: Big, beautiful place.
- 32:16SPEAKER_05: We're walking through this major lobby.
- 32:18SPEAKER_05: I mean, major lobby, big, beautiful chandeliers, you know.
- 32:22SPEAKER_05: And that red, that, that, that, you know, that French whorehouse red carpeting.
- 32:28SPEAKER_05: Just gorgeous, gorgeous stuff.
- 32:30SPEAKER_05: So I'm walking and I get, I'm like, whew, I get a chill, right?
- 32:34SPEAKER_05: Like it's something, like there was like a draft, and I looked at everybody and like, God, did you guys feel that?
- 32:39SPEAKER_05: And they all go, feel what?
- 32:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's exactly what I do.
- 32:43SPEAKER_05: Like, oh.
- 32:48SPEAKER_05: But one time at Bandcamp, no one, I um, I when I was managing a Sears store, I was back in the back, and uh there was a tech had a refrigerator pushed forward, and he was on his spread legged underneath it, and he was soldering under there, right?
- 33:06SPEAKER_05: Soldering the cable connections.
- 33:08SPEAKER_05: And I'm putting these batteries over this corner of my eye, and I see this flame go up, and I look over there, and he just keeps going, nothing's happened, right?
- 33:16SPEAKER_05: So I go back to put a thing on, and about 15, 20 seconds later, big flame, and he falls back on my ground, and I go, I was like freaked out.
- 33:26SPEAKER_05: I'm like, I I pre-saw that.
- 33:28SPEAKER_05: And then I hated myself for not going, not warning him.
- 33:32SPEAKER_05: Well, how are you just say that?
- 33:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know, dude, you're fixing to blow up.
- 33:38SPEAKER_09: Well, I'll I'll tell you what, I I was I had no problem with small spaces.
- 33:42SPEAKER_09: Remember, because I grew up on Cherry Hills, and remember the the the building, uh, it was a petroleum plaza, it was what they called it way back then, the two-story, it's the building where the college has now.
- 33:51SPEAKER_09: That was the only building in town that had an elevator when I was a kid.
- 33:55SPEAKER_09: So we would go and run and play in the elevator and I wasn't, but then when I turned about 14, 15, all of a sudden I became real extremely claustrophobic, and I just did not know why.
- 34:05SPEAKER_09: And I I was I was listening to a favorite psychic of mine that said that when you cre when you develop a phobia like at a certain age, it's because something happened to you in a previous life when you were that age.
- 34:16SPEAKER_09: That that's seriously so and then suddenly I would and I looked at and then when they found the Titanic and the photos, I would just get to where I couldn't breathe every time I look at pictures of it.
- 34:28SPEAKER_09: I just short of breath and everything, like I was suffering.
- 34:31SPEAKER_09: So you may you're you're you may have gone down on the thing.
- 34:34SPEAKER_09: But I don't think but I was not, but I I I don't think I was in the upper parts, you know, with the people with the money and everything.
- 34:41SPEAKER_09: I would think I was with the lower class people that had to be in the bottom and everything, and I really I really think I I died.
- 34:47SPEAKER_07: Down there hanging around with the I think the only time I've ever had anything weird happen was down in Chaco Canyon.
- 34:53SPEAKER_07: Oh, yeah.
- 34:54SPEAKER_05: No, that's full of lore.
- 34:59SPEAKER_07: We lived right there.
- 34:59SPEAKER_07: I grew up not too far from there.
- 35:02SPEAKER_07: So, you know, she worked she worked there, but my partner and I were there hiking one one one day.
- 35:07SPEAKER_07: And we were trying to leave before the park closed.
- 35:09SPEAKER_07: So we were up on the mesa and we were a little further, you know, further from where we parked down on the bottom.
- 35:15SPEAKER_07: So we're trying to make it out, and she's uh she's behind me, and you know, I grew up around there, so I'm like, we gotta go now, we have to go now because it gets dark and there's no streetlights.
- 35:23SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
- 35:24SPEAKER_07: So, you know, we go, and all of a sudden we hear whistling.
- 35:28SPEAKER_07: Well, I hear whistling.
- 35:29SPEAKER_07: And I'm like, that's weird, you know.
- 35:31SPEAKER_07: You're not supposed to whistle at night, you know, that's one of our cultural beliefs.
- 35:36SPEAKER_07: So we're looking around, I'm looking around and I'm like, who's whistling?
- 35:39SPEAKER_07: You know, and I keep going.
- 35:40SPEAKER_07: And then I hear it again, and I'm like, I stop, and I'm thinking maybe it's other hikers that are hiking that are camping out down there, they like to hike around.
- 35:48SPEAKER_07: So I'm looking around, there's nobody there, and it's just our truck in the parking lot because I can see over the mesa down in the parking area.
- 35:56SPEAKER_07: And uh so I'm looking around and I'm like, this is really crazy.
- 35:59SPEAKER_07: So I kept going, and then it happened again, and finally I'm like, I'm done.
- 36:03SPEAKER_07: I look around and I asked my my my partner, I'm like, hey, are you whistling?
- 36:07SPEAKER_07: And she's like, No, I thought that was you.
- 36:10SPEAKER_07: And I was like, I'm hearing it too.
- 36:14SPEAKER_07: And so we're looking around and we're trying to find what is happening, and I was like, we gotta get out of here because there was nobody around, and it was, you know, it's in the fall, you know, so it was getting a little chilly.
- 36:26SPEAKER_07: There's not a lot of campers, I don't think, that day.
- 36:29SPEAKER_07: Um, so that was the only thing, and and my mom's had several and you know, things happen down there, but nothing like uh a past life, but more, you know, something there's something around.
- 36:41SPEAKER_09: Yeah, because I did a little stint down there before I was a uh a realtor, I was an archaeologist.
- 36:45SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 36:45SPEAKER_09: And so we were down there for a while, but I've been to other sites that it was just some things happening.
- 36:49SPEAKER_09: It's kind of like, what was that?
- 36:51SPEAKER_07: Yeah, there was a um one my mom just told me about a kiva.
- 36:55SPEAKER_07: The park was closing, and people were like, Hey, he didn't tell us there's a festival going on, you know, or something.
- 37:01SPEAKER_07: He didn't tell us there was singing.
- 37:03SPEAKER_07: And they were like, and she was like, Well, there isn't.
- 37:05SPEAKER_07: She's like, So you guys need to leave.
- 37:07SPEAKER_07: You know, get out and come again.
- 37:09SPEAKER_07: And um, and they're like, No, but there's there's something going on over down in the Kiva.
- 37:13SPEAKER_07: And she's like, Oh wow, I don't think so.
- 37:16SPEAKER_07: You know, so they're asking them to leave, and um, you know, they they went down there, nobody was there, but they were telling her they heard a lot of um you know singing and and drumming and I've I've I've heard that before too.
- 37:28SPEAKER_05: When I was a kid, we used to because we'd heard those stories as well.
- 37:32SPEAKER_05: And um we used to sneak up in there late at night or midnight, and we just we'd scare the snot out of ourselves and then have to leave because you know, we I never heard it, but I had friends that said that they had and tried to catch it.
- 37:46SPEAKER_07: I've never had anything like that happen, you know.
- 37:49SPEAKER_07: And I you know, just gone yeah, it's that's intense.
- 37:53SPEAKER_07: It is intense.
- 37:54SPEAKER_08: And you wonder there's just so much in our in our um American culture about, you know, ancient native uh curses or whatever, which is you know is a little more romanticized.
- 38:05SPEAKER_08: Which is much more romanticized, but I think there's definitely a shadow that looms over our entire nation because of the horrible things.
- 38:13SPEAKER_08: The history.
- 38:14SPEAKER_08: The history that happened there.
- 38:16SPEAKER_08: And I don't know if any group of people are gonna stay around and remind you.
- 38:22SPEAKER_08: I can I can believe it being.
- 38:24SPEAKER_05: Alright, so here's what I think we should do.
- 38:25SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna, we're gonna let's forego email and we'll do Rin Rants.
- 38:30SPEAKER_05: Oh, yes! Yeah, so we can talk about what was Sleeping Beauty Cinderella.
- 38:34SPEAKER_05: Cinderella.
- 38:36SPEAKER_05: One of the princesses.
- 38:37SPEAKER_08: Sleeping Beauty is my dad's favorite, minus Cinderella.
- 38:40SPEAKER_08: Cinderella.
- 38:41SPEAKER_08: Get it right.
- 38:41SPEAKER_05: Cinderella Kiss of Ella.
- 38:44SPEAKER_08: Do we go into that?
- 38:46SPEAKER_08: No, let's go into the song.
- 38:47SPEAKER_08: Okay, cool.
- 38:47SPEAKER_08: So I got one that uh uh Julie was telling us about.
- 38:50SPEAKER_08: It's the Foo Fighters doing covers of uh the BGs.
- 38:54SPEAKER_08: It's the DGs.
- 38:55SPEAKER_08: The DGs.
- 38:55SPEAKER_03: The DG's DG's is what they call themselves.
- 38:59SPEAKER_08: Like, I don't know, maybe D for Dave.
- 39:01SPEAKER_08: DJs?
- 39:02SPEAKER_08: Oh, the Dave Rolls.
- 39:03SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 39:04SPEAKER_08: Because he's DG.
- 39:05SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: I am 5'11.
- 42:48SPEAKER_05: I knew you were 5'11.
- 42:49SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 42:50SPEAKER_05: I would just like to say I'm 6'4.5.
- 42:53SPEAKER_05: And I just found out about the half, I don't know, a couple years ago.
- 42:56SPEAKER_05: I always thought it would, you know, they always told me when you go to measure, you know, the nurse, oh, I'm 6'4, and I'm, you know, took it.
- 43:02SPEAKER_05: A couple years ago, I step up on there and the lady goes, Oh, six, four and a half.
- 43:06SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, oh, I grew.
- 43:09SPEAKER_05: I thought you were supposed to shrink.
- 43:11SPEAKER_05: You got a hold of beer.
- 43:14SPEAKER_05: All right, so you guys, we were talking about all kinds of music when you were uh when we were when the other s when the what are they called?
- 43:21SPEAKER_05: The DGs?
- 43:22SPEAKER_05: The DGs from the Dave Grow.
- 43:24SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 43:25SPEAKER_05: The old Foo Fighters.
- 43:26SPEAKER_05: Um so uh I guess uh have we got everybody's favorite song out?
- 43:31SPEAKER_05: Did we get AJ?
- 43:32SPEAKER_05: Did we get your favorite song from you?
- 43:34SPEAKER_07: Uh no, I I didn't even I didn't even really look.
- 43:37SPEAKER_05: You didn't?
- 43:37SPEAKER_08: Let me see if I can find one that's the AJ adjacent.
- 43:40SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 43:41SPEAKER_08: A adjacent.
- 43:42SPEAKER_05: AJ adjacent.
- 43:45SPEAKER_05: All right.
- 43:46SPEAKER_05: Um and there was something else I was going to ask, but I have already I've had a I should have written it down, but I didn't.
- 43:55SPEAKER_08: I was gonna try and get in the habit of writing things down for you, but I also am bad at writing things down.
- 44:00SPEAKER_06: You know, I write things down and then I lose the thing I wrote it down.
- 44:05SPEAKER_05: Oh, yes.
- 44:05SPEAKER_05: Typically, you grab the first thing you can write this shirt that I'm wearing.
- 44:11SPEAKER_05: Oh shoot.
- 44:12SPEAKER_05: That's alright.
- 44:13SPEAKER_05: Oh, I thought that was me.
- 44:19SPEAKER_03: What did I do?
- 44:20SPEAKER_06: But uh Taco Bell napkins, because I used to go to Taco Bell every single day.
- 44:25SPEAKER_06: I had a stack of extra napkins here.
- 44:28SPEAKER_06: So those were awesome, like temporary little notepads.
- 44:31SPEAKER_06: I just had a stack of them there so I could just write on there.
- 44:34SPEAKER_06: And you can wash your mouth when you're done.
- 44:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 44:38SPEAKER_05: Well, I found a note in this.
- 44:40SPEAKER_05: Shirt, Adventure the Laundry.
- 44:42SPEAKER_05: Oh, by the way, I wore this shirt for you.
- 44:45SPEAKER_05: Did you?
- 44:45SPEAKER_05: I did because I didn't see the bag.
- 44:48SPEAKER_05: It's the Tigger shirt.
- 44:49SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I wore it.
- 44:50SPEAKER_09: T I don't get erg.
- 44:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's right.
- 44:53SPEAKER_05: I wore it just for Candy, because he wants one.
- 44:55SPEAKER_05: But you can't have this one.
- 44:57SPEAKER_09: I almost wore my Tigger sweatshirt.
- 45:00SPEAKER_09: I'm serious.
- 45:00SPEAKER_09: I looked at it and I thought, no, I need to dress up a little bit more than that.
- 45:04SPEAKER_05: Great mind thing.
- 45:05SPEAKER_09: Exactly.
- 45:07SPEAKER_05: What do you mean?
- 45:08SPEAKER_05: What do you mean you need to dress up a little bit?
- 45:10SPEAKER_05: Well, I thought that'd be kind of I don't know.
- 45:13SPEAKER_05: We're casual.
- 45:15SPEAKER_05: Although she's got a dress on, but she's got a sweatshirt on.
- 45:17SPEAKER_05: I do.
- 45:18SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 45:19SPEAKER_09: I'm serious.
- 45:19SPEAKER_09: I looked right at it and like, oh, I'm gonna.
- 45:22SPEAKER_06: I'm actually hot, but the only reason I didn't take this off is because I'm wearing my feed me Seymour t-shirt.
- 45:28SPEAKER_06: I didn't want it showing up in the photos.
- 45:31SPEAKER_05: From uh Little Shop of Horrors?
- 45:33SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 45:35SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 45:36SPEAKER_05: I have such an eclectic group of friends that uh you got one for AJ.
- 45:44SPEAKER_05: I guess we better play a song for AJ.
- 45:45SPEAKER_05: We played everybody but AJ's.
- 45:47SPEAKER_05: And then we can go into Rin Rant's.
- 45:50SPEAKER_08: I love it.
- 45:51SPEAKER_08: I've I didn't.
- 45:53SPEAKER_08: My flipped my hair, only we had it on video.
- 45:56SPEAKER_08: I I panicked and I couldn't find a specifically AJ song, but I did find a song that I like in general, and it's about Banana's survivors.
- 46:05SPEAKER_08: So this one's for your strength, AJ.
- 46:11SPEAKER_07: I am strong.
- 46:12SPEAKER_08: It's called Still Breathing, Magda Marco.
- 46:36SPEAKER_10: Never mind, make her cry.
- 46:39SPEAKER_10: Now I'm seeing the tears in her eyes.
- 46:51SPEAKER_10: So she thought my heart was on her sleep.
- 47:14SPEAKER_10: Still beats for you, even though you don't feel it.
- 48:03SPEAKER_10: Never mind, say my tune for anybody.
- 48:20SPEAKER_10: You better believe it.
- 48:28SPEAKER_10: Heart still beats for you, even though you don't feel it.
- 48:44SPEAKER_10: Better believe it.
- 48:52SPEAKER_10: Heart still beats for you, even though you don't feel it.
- 49:11SPEAKER_04: Time for film rant with Ren.
- 49:14SPEAKER_04: Hate 'em or love 'em.
- 49:16SPEAKER_04: New or classic, Ren rants on them all.
- 49:19SPEAKER_04: Weird Ren.
- 49:24SPEAKER_08: The only one important now is me.
- 49:27SPEAKER_08: Oh, yes, because I'm talking about.
- 49:28SPEAKER_08: Everybody shut up.
- 49:29SPEAKER_08: I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding.
- 49:30SPEAKER_08: It's been a little bit since I've done one.
- 49:32SPEAKER_08: And I'm gonna use this as an excuse to talk about my favorite Disney princess movie, Cinderella.
- 49:37SPEAKER_08: And everybody talks about how don't be a Cinderella, you don't need a princess prince to save you.
- 49:42SPEAKER_08: No offense.
- 49:43SPEAKER_08: The prince didn't do anything really to save Cinderella other than to send some people out to look for her.
- 49:48SPEAKER_08: What really saved Cinderella was her kindness and her good karma.
- 49:52SPEAKER_08: She spends that entire movie taking care of the mice, the animals, all the things that everybody else in society doesn't care about.
- 50:00SPEAKER_08: She builds, she makes clothes for them and protects them from the evil cat Lucifer.
- 50:06SPEAKER_08: And you know who saves her in the end?
- 50:08SPEAKER_08: Those mice.
- 50:09SPEAKER_08: I don't think anybody remembers the scene where uh Gus Gus has to carry the key all the way up those flights of stairs to save Cinderella.
- 50:18SPEAKER_08: Why did he do that?
- 50:19SPEAKER_08: Because he loves her.
- 50:21SPEAKER_08: And why does he love her?
- 50:22SPEAKER_08: Because she was a good person.
- 50:24SPEAKER_08: All it took was one good person in her life to reach out and give her an opportunity, and boy, she won the prince's heart because why?
- 50:32SPEAKER_08: She's a good person.
- 50:34SPEAKER_05: You know, I have never, I I have I have been dealing with you now, what, two years almost?
- 50:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 50:41SPEAKER_05: I have never, ever, you guys as my witness.
- 50:46SPEAKER_05: I have never seen you this this passionate about.
- 50:50SPEAKER_08: I love Cinderella.
- 50:52SPEAKER_08: Whenever I watch Cinderella, I cry.
- 50:54SPEAKER_08: And my favorite, my favorite bit in the whole movie is when Cinderella's running down the stairs at the very ending and has the shoes for the Duke.
- 51:01SPEAKER_08: No, no, no.
- 51:02SPEAKER_08: She she's just running down the stairs, but the Duke has the shoe.
- 51:05SPEAKER_08: And the stepmother like kicks it out of his hand so it shatters, and he's all like, oh no, what are we gonna do?
- 51:10SPEAKER_08: And the stepmother thinks she's won.
- 51:12SPEAKER_08: But Cinderella goes, Oh no, but you see, I have the other slipper.
- 51:20SPEAKER_08: All of cinema cannot compare to the joy I feel.
- 51:25SPEAKER_08: I also I also raised mice in my youth, so I'm a little biased towards Cinderella.
- 51:30SPEAKER_08: Did he make little clothes?
- 51:32SPEAKER_08: No, I wasn't that good.
- 51:33SPEAKER_08: You know, some of the maybe now I should.
- 51:36SPEAKER_05: Some of the best pets I got for my daughters were rats.
- 51:39SPEAKER_08: Rats?
- 51:40SPEAKER_05: They were they were unbelievable.
- 51:42SPEAKER_05: And when they first wanted them, like, you're out of your freaking mind.
- 51:44SPEAKER_05: I'm not getting you a rat.
- 51:46SPEAKER_05: That's a freaking rodent.
- 51:48SPEAKER_05: Oh my god, they were so Reesa.
- 51:50SPEAKER_05: I'll never forget Risa as one of them.
- 51:52SPEAKER_05: Little white rat.
- 51:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 51:54SPEAKER_08: That's beautiful.
- 51:55SPEAKER_08: They're as smart as dogs.
- 51:56SPEAKER_05: Yep, I agree.
- 51:57SPEAKER_08: So uh take away from this lesson.
- 52:00SPEAKER_08: Uh, mice and rats can be your best of friends.
- 52:03SPEAKER_08: That's right.
- 52:04SPEAKER_08: And always always treat people with kindness because you never know when it's gonna help you.
- 52:08SPEAKER_08: That's right.
- 52:08SPEAKER_08: Thank you.
- 52:09SPEAKER_08: I've gotten oh wait, hold on.
- 52:11SPEAKER_07: Gifts from my cats.
- 52:18SPEAKER_04: Be listening each week for yet another ranting with Rin.
- 52:23SPEAKER_06: And you, sweetheart, you are just playing mean.
- 52:25SPEAKER_04: She's relentless.
- 52:27SPEAKER_08: Science you have that.
- 52:29SPEAKER_08: Thank you.
- 52:30SPEAKER_08: Dave, Dave set it up for me.
- 52:32SPEAKER_08: I uh you're your rant.
- 52:34SPEAKER_08: Oh thanks.
- 52:37SPEAKER_08: I thought you meant the music.
- 52:38SPEAKER_08: I like the music, but yeah, the rant too.
- 52:41SPEAKER_08: I've had to I've had to get used to cutting myself off because I will talk forever.
- 52:46unknown: Yeah.
- 52:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we don't, we're not, you know, we since we've been now we've we have some radio restraints and we're on time limits.
- 52:53SPEAKER_05: Uh like we've only got four minutes left in this, which kind of bums me out, but yeah, um we've you know we're trying to be a little bit more uh by the book.
- 53:04SPEAKER_05: You know, just like a real old-time radio show.
- 53:06SPEAKER_05: I mean, they had those things where they had the flashing things and you had so much time.
- 53:10SPEAKER_05: I can remember, I can remember when I did remotes, I'd get a thing and I'd get a beep down the weep, come down the line.
- 53:17SPEAKER_05: I mean I had 45 seconds and I better shut up.
- 53:20SPEAKER_05: You know, so we did a remote together one time.
- 53:22SPEAKER_05: Or at four at um at Zines, we did, yeah.
- 53:27SPEAKER_05: We sure did.
- 53:28SPEAKER_05: I forgot about that.
- 53:29SPEAKER_06: Oh well, I'm I'm really aging.
- 53:32SPEAKER_06: Music playoff or something like that.
- 53:33SPEAKER_06: It's the end of your show and we didn't know it.
- 53:41SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 53:42SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 53:43SPEAKER_05: I got all kinds of sound bites going.
- 53:46SPEAKER_05: All right, so so we're we are about time we're gonna play a music out too, but I want to give everybody a last chance to uh uh I don't know.
- 53:53SPEAKER_05: We'll we'll start with A and J.
- 53:54SPEAKER_05: We'll start with the ladies, Ken.
- 53:55SPEAKER_05: You're just gonna have to wait.
- 53:56SPEAKER_05: We're gonna be able to do that.
- 53:56SPEAKER_05: Because I know I know I knew on our show we'd come first, but you know, we have a bunch of ladies here, so let's at this point it's just a numbers game.
- 54:04SPEAKER_08: You're just outnumbered.
- 54:05SPEAKER_08: And I know for a fact that I I know for a fact that I I uh cut AJ off at the end of my Cinderella rant.
- 54:10SPEAKER_05: So Sony, yeah.
- 54:12SPEAKER_05: You gotta go for 30, 40 seconds.
- 54:14SPEAKER_05: I'll I'll go boop when you're done.
- 54:19SPEAKER_07: Um well now I feel pressured.
- 54:22SPEAKER_07: Oh, that's okay too.
- 54:23SPEAKER_05: Well, I can come back to you.
- 54:23SPEAKER_05: We can go to Julie first.
- 54:29SPEAKER_05: Say something profound.
- 54:31SPEAKER_05: The new girl, what am I supposed to say?
- 54:33SPEAKER_05: No, don't concede the kin now.
- 54:35SPEAKER_08: Don't it's it's uh it's really just our point of the show to let people like close.
- 54:41SPEAKER_08: Hi dad, hi, or say whatever.
- 54:44SPEAKER_09: Whoever you want.
- 54:46SPEAKER_09: Tell him her.
- 54:48SPEAKER_09: Poor guy, he he he ended up with he had cataract surgery last month, and Sunday morning he woke up blind in that eye and ran to the doctor and had a detached retina and had to run him up to Durango and have the date oh it's pretty much two little things in there and then the laser thingy, and then put the air the gas bubble in it to put keep the pressure on, and you know, so he's he's been through a lot besides the cancer surgery earlier this year.
- 55:14SPEAKER_09: So anyway, hi Herb.
- 55:15SPEAKER_09: I love you.
- 55:17SPEAKER_09: We love you 44 years I've known him, so there you go.
- 55:20SPEAKER_09: Thank you.
- 55:21SPEAKER_05: How many years?
- 55:22SPEAKER_09: 43 and a half.
- 55:23SPEAKER_09: We'll be married 44 years in March.
- 55:25SPEAKER_05: 44 years in March.
- 55:26SPEAKER_07: Happy 44.
- 55:28SPEAKER_07: There you go.
- 55:28SPEAKER_07: Okay, do it, AJ.
- 55:29SPEAKER_07: My precious Mana.
- 55:31SPEAKER_07: There you go.
- 55:32SPEAKER_07: See?
- 55:33SPEAKER_07: Hi mommy.
- 55:34SPEAKER_07: I love her.
- 55:35SPEAKER_05: Okay, Ken, you're we're out of time, you're done.
- 55:40SPEAKER_06: No, but what do you got?
- 55:42SPEAKER_06: Nothing.
- 55:42SPEAKER_06: I was just thinking of that thing because somebody said hi, mom, right?
- 55:45SPEAKER_06: And there's that deal.
- 55:46SPEAKER_06: I don't remember what comedian did that bit.
- 55:48SPEAKER_06: Like, you know, you you're a father and you have a son, and you take him out every day in the backyard, and you're teaching him how to throw the football and and tackle, and he grows up and he's finally tackling you, and he's better than you, and you spent all this time and effort, blood and tears, and everything, and you're like, oh my god, he's amazing! And you send him out, and he gets on a team, and he shows up on the TV screen, he's like, I'm gonna do that.
- 56:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, who is that?
- 56:18SPEAKER_05: I've had that happen too.
- 56:19SPEAKER_05: I'm not sure.
- 56:22SPEAKER_05: I think we're about out of time.
- 56:25SPEAKER_05: My little brand, do you have anything that you would like to offer today?
- 56:28SPEAKER_05: Your words of wisdom.
- 56:29SPEAKER_05: This is gonna air in December, so mid-December.
- 56:33SPEAKER_07: Holiday wisdom.
- 56:34SPEAKER_08: Holiday wisdom.
- 56:35SPEAKER_08: I don't know if it's holiday wisdom, but I will say this.
- 56:39SPEAKER_08: Whatever happened in the past, it may still hurt, but you still survived.
- 56:46SPEAKER_08: Be proud of yourself.
- 56:48SPEAKER_08: Let's take them home, boys.
- 56:53SPEAKER_02: So long scarewell, I'll be just saying and you, a and you, and you.
- 57:33SPEAKER_01: So long.
- 57:37SPEAKER_08: Well saves, tune in for the next show.
- 57:39SPEAKER_08: Goodbye, everybody.
- 57:40SPEAKER_08: Goodbye.
- 57:41SPEAKER_08: For real.
- 57:41SPEAKER_08: For real.
- 57:43SPEAKER_04: How much fun was that?
- 57:45SPEAKER_04: Every week, Ren and David will bring you informative fun, maybe a musical guest or two, and you'll always get a load of laughter.
- 57:54SPEAKER_04: Answered emails, rants, raids, community thoughts, and so much more.
- 58:00SPEAKER_04: Opinions expressed are not necessarily those of their wonderful sponsors.
- 58:05SPEAKER_04: Thanks for listening.
- 58:07SPEAKER_04: Don't forget, new episodes are available every Monday morning at 1 a.m.
- 58:12SPEAKER_04: And they would love to hear from you at the General's Wake Up Call at gmail.com.
- 58:18SPEAKER_03: Be expert to each other.
- 58:21SPEAKER_03: Always where you clean up equipment.
