- 0:05Speaker 1: he had a drivin' on the line, and so he's
- 0:09Speaker 1: took to carryin an advertising sign. All that he's a
- 0:13Speaker 1: makin' now is fifty cents a day, walkin' up and
- 0:17Speaker 1: down and givin' little bills away Daddy, he tells Mammy.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And it won't be long afore he finds another job
- 0:26Speaker 1: at somethin' at'll pay him more. And bess an me's

- 1:04Speaker 1: and the bag of flowers gone, and the coal AT's
- 1:08Speaker 1: in the closets a gettin down so fast we sifts
- 1:12Speaker 1: the cinders over twice to try and make it last,
- 1:17Speaker 1: So it don't much look as if a tree's a
- 1:20Speaker 1: goin to be had. And we've stopped to asking Mammy
- 1:24Speaker 1: because it only makes her mad. And we both have
- 1:28Speaker 1: made it up to stop a plague in Daddy too
- 1:31Speaker 1: for senses to buy candy with, just like we used
- 1:35Speaker 1: to do. But we keep a hoping to ourselves it
- 1:39Speaker 1: won't be all as so, and a praying and a praying,
- 1:44Speaker 1: though we don't let Mammy know. If there's a job
- 1:47Speaker 1: to spare at, daddy'll get it right away. Somethin at'll
- 1:52Speaker 1: bring him more and fifty cents a day
