- 1:34Speaker 1: That's direct TV stream. Okay, so we're gonna obviously talk
- 1:42Speaker 1: a little bit about what happened over the weekend, right,
- 1:47Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about what happened with the Keith Thurman
- 1:52Speaker 1: fight that just happened not long ago. You could buy
- 1:58Speaker 1: it on pay review or you could have waited for
- 2:02Speaker 1: the PBC rebroadcast. And I did get some messages throughout
- 2:08Speaker 1: the week about that, like on a delayed thing, because
- 2:15Speaker 1: they were talking about how it's going to be delayed,
- 2:17Speaker 1: you know in the US. Delayed for me personally, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: I think just in general is not the biggest deal
- 2:24Speaker 1: because all you have to do is stay off social media.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But that's just me. You know, I can understand anything
- 2:32Speaker 1: delayed nowadays you could be critical of I would have
- 2:37Speaker 1: to say, but oh, I watch boxing delayed all the time.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So I just make sure to stay off the you know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: social media. So if you can't stay off social media,
- 2:52Speaker 1: then yeah, that would be an issue. But if you
- 2:54Speaker 1: wanted just to, I mean, there's other ways to get it.
- 2:58Speaker 1: As me no, so, but yeah, the pay view was available,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but yeah, I just watched it on the PBC channel,
- 3:09Speaker 1: And like I said, I'm not getting up at four
- 3:11Speaker 1: or five in the morning to watch the fight anyway,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I watch it, you know, whether it's recorded or on
- 3:17Speaker 1: ESPN Plus. We've seen that with any any way fights
- 3:20Speaker 1: or his own or whatever. So we'll talk a little
- 3:24Speaker 1: bit about that, talk about, like I said, the probacks card,
- 3:28Speaker 1: some other items from the UK as well as far
- 3:32Speaker 1: as recap. We'll talk about the week that you know,
- 3:35Speaker 1: started today right for boxing anyway, and goes all the
- 3:39Speaker 1: way through Saturday. Nick Ball makes his return, There is
- 3:45Speaker 1: a couple other fighters to Raji makes his return on
- 3:50Speaker 1: ESPN Plus, so we'll talk all about that. We'll do
- 3:54Speaker 1: a little bit of follow up as well when it
- 3:58Speaker 1: comes to the Turkey and uh, you know t k O,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Dana White and now that we got a little bit
- 4:07Speaker 1: more detailed, we did have a conversation last week about it,
- 4:09Speaker 1: so I'm not gonna go too long on it, but yeah,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so that there is a little bit more information. At
- 4:20Speaker 1: the start, it kind of sounded like they're going to
- 4:22Speaker 1: develop their own fighters, which would take a long long time.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Now it sounds like it's it's not that it changed,
- 4:31Speaker 2: but you know that it's it looks like it's gonna
- 4:34Speaker 2: be a combination of signing fighters.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And then also, you know, yeah, is that all the
- 4:42Speaker 1: act gonna be gone? Is it gonna be tweaked? Are
- 4:45Speaker 1: they just gonna bend the rules because that that was
- 4:50Speaker 1: obviously they'd either have to get rid of the part
- 4:53Speaker 1: that says you can't have a belt and then the
- 4:57Speaker 1: belt itself based off the ring rankings, I assume. So
- 5:04Speaker 1: we'll talk a little bit about it, right, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: right away people a lot of people were very positive
- 5:12Speaker 1: about it. And then when you see like Turkey saying
- 5:17Speaker 1: he's not going to bid on the Vault Benevetez, yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 1: of course it makes people feel a certain way. And
- 5:25Speaker 1: when you hear Dana White says at this point in time,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I don't plan on working with other promoters. So is
- 5:31Speaker 1: it just another do they create another side of the street?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Is that a new boulevard? We'll see, We'll see how
- 5:39Speaker 1: all this works. My guess is they're just going to
- 5:42Speaker 1: try to buy out the competition through the fighters and
- 5:47Speaker 1: just wait out either. You know, at times, I'm sure
- 5:50Speaker 1: they could do the Floyd Mayweather thing and just give
- 5:52Speaker 1: him money, give people money to or the fighter themselves
- 5:57Speaker 1: buy out. If they have buyout clauses, you know, that
- 6:00Speaker 1: would needed, that'd be needed to buy out. But that's
- 6:07Speaker 1: my guess is they're just going to try to take
- 6:09Speaker 1: over as much talent as they can. But we'll get
- 6:12Speaker 1: into that a little bit more. Yeah, so we'll kind
- 6:18Speaker 1: of discuss a couple other things, of course, some boxing Twitter,
- 6:22Speaker 1: a little boxing Twitter segment. The show is not going
- 6:24Speaker 1: to be all that long today, but just just talking
- 6:27Speaker 1: about the Keith Thurman fight. One, it is nice to
- 6:31Speaker 1: have Keith back, no matter if it's just the next
- 6:34Speaker 1: fight that proves that he's just over the hill and
- 6:37Speaker 1: he's been out of the ring too long, it is
- 6:40Speaker 1: nice having him back. You know, Verbally he's very good
- 6:44Speaker 1: on the mic. Obviously he's very good at what he
- 6:47Speaker 1: does in the ring too, of course, but what kind
- 6:52Speaker 1: of run can he make? It's tough to say. It's
- 6:55Speaker 1: just nice that he made it to a fight where
- 6:57Speaker 1: he didn't get hurt and from the sounds of it,
- 7:03Speaker 1: as long as Tim Zu passes his test, that they'll
- 7:07Speaker 1: be fighting in July in Australia. So we'll see, we'll
- 7:14Speaker 1: see where that goes. But right away in the fight,
- 7:18Speaker 1: or maybe not right away, but fairly early on, Thurman
- 7:22Speaker 1: landed a big, big right hand and and then late
- 7:28Speaker 1: like a nice uppercut, and then Jarvis kind of in
- 7:34Speaker 1: the middle a little bit, landed a really nice counter
- 7:37Speaker 1: left hook, and he followed up with combinations of short
- 7:40Speaker 1: uppercut to the and body work, and so I thought
- 7:44Speaker 1: that won the round for him. Then the second round,
- 7:49Speaker 1: Jarvis landed more left hooks in some shots, but I
- 7:52Speaker 1: thought Thurman with his jab the clean shots. Overall, he
- 7:56Speaker 1: was more kind of clean shots on the move, more
- 7:59Speaker 1: using angles and whatnot in the lateral movement, but the
- 8:03Speaker 1: rights to the body were starting to have an impact.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And then the third round, a big left hook to
- 8:12Speaker 1: the body, big right hand, and I think it was
- 8:15Speaker 1: a short uppercut that dropped him, and then like a shot.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I think it was like left hook. Ultimately I think
- 8:20Speaker 1: he I think he landed a right upper cut in
- 8:23Speaker 1: a left hook that finished the fight for good. But
- 8:27Speaker 1: like I said, it was more about just getting him
- 8:31Speaker 1: back in the ring and being healthy, you know that.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That's that's the way I looked at it. I don't
- 8:37Speaker 1: want to look too deep into it. I know it
- 8:41Speaker 1: had been you know what, over nine years since he
- 8:44Speaker 1: scored a knockout, so truly one time in the last
- 8:49Speaker 1: nine years or whatever. So yeah, you know, he looked
- 8:53Speaker 1: good now that the level of competition, although being that
- 8:58Speaker 1: he's been out of the ring for so long, I
- 9:02Speaker 1: didn't expect a whole lot, especially if you have plans
- 9:05Speaker 1: to fight Tim Zu. As long as he can get
- 9:08Speaker 1: past Joey Spencer, I didn't. You know, it's really about
- 9:12Speaker 1: just getting a camp, getting to win, taking a little
- 9:16Speaker 1: time off obviously because he's coming back here, hanging with
- 9:19Speaker 1: the family, and then being able to get into another
- 9:22Speaker 1: training camp and have a fight in the summer would
- 9:25Speaker 1: be great for him. As long as he can be healthy, right,
- 9:30Speaker 1: Can he get to that next fight, which I think
- 9:32Speaker 1: they were saying July sixth or something like that. Can
- 9:35Speaker 1: he get to that next fight healthy? I think that
- 9:40Speaker 1: is what you know, That's what we're gonna have to
- 9:42Speaker 1: find out, and we will find out. So it was
- 9:45Speaker 1: good to have him come back. I guessaid. I'm not
- 9:48Speaker 1: gonna make a huge deal about him. I've always liked
- 9:50Speaker 1: Keith Urman though, so we'll see where this leads. You know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: if he could come back, not get injured and beat
- 9:58Speaker 1: Tim Zu, well yeah, then all of a sudden he'd
- 10:01Speaker 1: be on his third fight. Maybe he'd have a fight
- 10:03Speaker 1: to close out the year. Well yeah, then then my
- 10:06Speaker 1: mind will open up to the fact that hey, maybe
- 10:09Speaker 1: he can make a late run in his career. It's possible,
- 10:14Speaker 1: but you know, I just I would like to to
- 10:17Speaker 1: see it happen first, all the way and to get
- 10:20Speaker 1: it's not even see it happen like he can't, Like
- 10:23Speaker 1: there's no way he can beat Tim Zu. It's it's
- 10:26Speaker 1: seeing it happen. As far as health, you know, sure
- 10:31Speaker 1: there's times where, like coming out of COVID he could
- 10:36Speaker 1: have fought on Fox, he decided not to. Sean Porter
- 10:40Speaker 1: got the fight. So there's times where he chose not
- 10:44Speaker 1: to fight. But there's also times where he's been hurt.
- 10:47Speaker 1: So it is what it is anyway. Other you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: items from the Weekend Pro Box with Cook Guy in
- 11:00Speaker 1: Arnold Cood Guy and and and Joett Gonzalez. It was
- 11:06Speaker 1: a pretty good, pretty good fight, pretty competitive. I thought
- 11:09Speaker 1: that could guy. You know, the early rounds he put
- 11:14Speaker 1: in a lot of bodywork. Gonzalez was landing his jab
- 11:21Speaker 1: left hooks to the head. Both really were attacking the body,
- 11:27Speaker 1: short shots, hooks and even a few uppercuts in there,
- 11:30Speaker 1: and so I thought could guy was doing better in
- 11:35Speaker 1: the early rounds right, so I would have given him
- 11:38Speaker 1: a little bit of a lead once we got more
- 11:40Speaker 1: closer to the mid rounds, That's when I thought Joette
- 11:44Speaker 1: was fighting a little better and winning rounds more rounds.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Was it that I think it was the fifth round
- 11:49Speaker 1: where the guy got penalized for holding for clinching, and
- 11:57Speaker 1: I think it was the it was a sixth looking
- 12:01Speaker 1: at my scorecard here where Joette got a cut where
- 12:05Speaker 1: the doctor looked at it, but it wasn't too crazy.
- 12:10Speaker 1: But that sixth round was had a lot of fun
- 12:12Speaker 1: two way stuff in it. In the seventh like Joette
- 12:19Speaker 1: landed a multiple big right hands and followed it up
- 12:24Speaker 1: overall just with better combinations to the body and head.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And in the eighth round, speaking of body and working
- 12:33Speaker 1: the body in the head, I thought the guy was
- 12:36Speaker 1: doing that really well. Ninth round, jab rights to the body,
- 12:41Speaker 1: quick little combinations. It looked like a body shot hurt
- 12:46Speaker 1: guy in that round as well. And then just the
- 12:49Speaker 1: cleaner lands overall in the tenth round, you know, finish
- 12:56Speaker 1: it off for Gonzalez, and it was a split decision.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I did have Joette winning. Like I said, though it
- 13:03Speaker 1: was a competitive fight. It was a very good fight. Actually,
- 13:07Speaker 1: I really liked it. It was close though. You know,
- 13:10Speaker 1: if you said you had it sixty four for Arnold,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you know, I'm not gonna sit there and complain about that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Ninety seven ninety three, ninety six, ninety three in ninety
- 13:25Speaker 1: five ninety four was the official cards. So it was close.
- 13:34Speaker 1: It was close. I could see it being five to
- 13:37Speaker 1: five in that point, deduction being the reason you know
- 13:42Speaker 1: that Betty won the fight. It was competitive, it was
- 13:46Speaker 1: a good fight. Luis Torres took care of Nicholas Walters,
- 13:55Speaker 1: Siracho and Lopez fought to a draw. You know, you
- 13:59Speaker 1: had some other her action on there, but nothing that
- 14:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna you know, recap at this at this juncture,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I guess you could say, but you know, pro box
- 14:11Speaker 1: at that mid level fight mostly prospected mid level, and
- 14:17Speaker 1: that could be one and the same. I think they've
- 14:20Speaker 1: done a very good job and it's something that will
- 14:23Speaker 1: continue to praise them in that sense for sure. What
- 14:29Speaker 1: else we had a UK fight as well. It was
- 14:37Speaker 1: Lauren Price and Natasha Jones or Jonas Jones. What am
- 14:41Speaker 1: I saying? Jonas? That like Price fought behind her jab
- 14:51Speaker 1: to set up her left hand, whether it was straight
- 14:55Speaker 1: or a left hook, and just overall, I thought she
- 14:59Speaker 1: landed the better all for all bunches throughout the fight.
- 15:04Speaker 1: There were moments of being competitive, but it just you know,
- 15:09Speaker 1: I think some of the angles that she used as well.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It was a clean win, very clean win. And I
- 15:19Speaker 1: did like that Dubois Shin fight. That was a very
- 15:24Speaker 1: competitive fight and both you know that that was really good.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I liked it a lot. I thought both of them
- 15:33Speaker 1: had their moments, that's for sure. Shin was bringing a
- 15:38Speaker 1: lot of pressure. She was working the body as the
- 15:42Speaker 1: fight went on. I think she started to find more
- 15:45Speaker 1: success as it went later. Hooks to the body in
- 15:49Speaker 1: head were landing, no doubt. Both were jabbing, you know, decently.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It kind of was a tactical fight at times. Other
- 15:56Speaker 1: times they were kind of getting it in. I thought
- 16:01Speaker 1: that du Bois, the way she was countering off the
- 16:07Speaker 1: pivot was a different maker. Speaking of angles, when we're
- 16:10Speaker 1: talking about Price, I thought I thought some of those
- 16:14Speaker 1: angles and like, like I said, you know, the pivot.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Countering off the pivot was really big, and she was
- 16:21Speaker 1: landing her own hooks to the body and head, and
- 16:26Speaker 1: and she was making her miss. You know, making her
- 16:29Speaker 1: miss is one thing. Countering off the pivot, especially with
- 16:32Speaker 1: those hooks, left hooks and whatnot for me, was a
- 16:36Speaker 1: difference maker. But it was a competitive fight. It was
- 16:39Speaker 1: a very competitive fight. I did have du Bois winning.
- 16:45Speaker 1: She won by uh we checked the scorecard real quick.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It was majority of decision, I know that, but one
- 16:55Speaker 1: judge had it obviously. Like I said, I thought the
- 17:01Speaker 1: bob was getting the better of her early, but shitdn't
- 17:06Speaker 1: really hung around. And then, like I said, later in
- 17:09Speaker 1: the fight had sorry just take a little break for
- 17:13Speaker 1: a sip of water. Had plenty of success. So I
- 17:17Speaker 1: thought it was I thought it was a very entertaining fight.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I didn't think it should have been a draw there.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I didn't see that anywhere near that, but you know,
- 17:31Speaker 1: it happens, right. Chloe Watson also lost via split decision.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Francesca Hennessy won as well. So yeah, it was uh,
- 17:45Speaker 1: pretty good stuff. Like I said, I liked what I
- 17:48Speaker 1: saw out of Caroline. I really did. I definitely liked
- 17:54Speaker 1: what I saw. As far as this weekend goes, well,
- 18:02Speaker 1: you know, it already got started. Obviously. We do have
- 18:07Speaker 1: an ESPN Plus card that will be like Thursday morning
- 18:13Speaker 1: in the States anyway, so that you know that that's
- 18:18Speaker 1: an interesting card. I think it'll be. I think it'll
- 18:23Speaker 1: be like just kind of just full of entertainment. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: think it'll be entertaining fights. It's not like a lot
- 18:36Speaker 1: of the fights are like any kind of fifty to
- 18:39Speaker 1: fifty fight. Can sure Taraja is a is a pretty
- 18:45Speaker 1: clean favorite. I think, what is it, Siego, I'm pretty
- 18:50Speaker 1: sure it's like last I saw, everything was over plus
- 18:53Speaker 1: three hundred. Let me double check. It's like three yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: plus three, twenty plus three, twenty plus three. Of course
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm on proboxingodds dot com, So yeah, you know, there's
- 19:07Speaker 1: not really you know, yeah, I think, like I said,
- 19:12Speaker 1: I look at it from a stylistic standpoint. I think
- 19:15Speaker 1: some of those would be fun. That Anthony uh a
- 19:23Speaker 1: lot Alas Couga or something like that. He's a he's
- 19:26Speaker 1: a pretty clean favorite. But kay, Gucci's a good fighter.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So you know, I think it. I think they're you know,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I think it'll be a good card, just entertainment. Hopefully
- 19:39Speaker 1: we get a really close fight in there obviously, right
- 19:44Speaker 1: and then and I think the favorites are gonna win
- 19:49Speaker 1: on that card, I don't, you know. And then we
- 19:53Speaker 1: have Nick Ball and TJ. Del Henny. That'll be the
- 19:58Speaker 1: main event that's on the zoom. And you know, he's
- 20:06Speaker 1: off of that fight last fall, Danny. You know where
- 20:11Speaker 1: he faced anyway, and you know it is what it
- 20:19Speaker 1: is like, you got beat whatever. Not a big deal there, right,
- 20:26Speaker 1: He's had some wins lately, but overall, like Conlin, and
- 20:35Speaker 1: you know, it's like, I don't know, I don't I
- 20:42Speaker 1: think nick Ball's got this one. And you know, speaking
- 20:46Speaker 1: in entertainment, you know, I do think And actually, you
- 20:53Speaker 1: know what, I forgot to say that Conlin, I actually
- 20:56Speaker 1: forgot that that card Conlin. Conlin did actually fight. I
- 21:03Speaker 1: think that was on a was it Friday? He was
- 21:08Speaker 1: on a card as well. And Harlem, you bank gotta
- 21:14Speaker 1: win over mckennay. Not much to really see when it
- 21:19Speaker 1: comes to that, But you know, I think some fights
- 21:24Speaker 1: will lead to that, Let's put it that way. I
- 21:27Speaker 1: think some fights will lead to that. But going back
- 21:28Speaker 1: to this, I think, you know, hopefully Ball. You know,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I see him winning pretty cleanly. He's such an aggressive
- 21:37Speaker 1: fighter and for such a you know, he is a
- 21:42Speaker 1: shorter guy. Obviously, he does find his way on the
- 21:47Speaker 1: inside a lot, and I like him. I think he's
- 21:51Speaker 1: a very good fighter. He's a very aggressive, pressure packed
- 21:55Speaker 1: So just just stop that. I mean, TJ does have
- 21:59Speaker 1: skills and he and he could you know, he might
- 22:04Speaker 1: be able to might be able to slow down Ball
- 22:08Speaker 1: a little bit, or not slow him down, just frustrate him.
- 22:13Speaker 1: He has gone the distance a fair amount of time,
- 22:17Speaker 1: so he knows what he's doing in there. But then again,
- 22:21Speaker 1: like I said, Nick Ball is just a pressure cooker
- 22:24Speaker 1: man and he's gonna bring it. So he's a clear favorite.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I guess it'll just be entertaining how we get there,
- 22:32Speaker 1: right and then hopefully Nick Ball. You know, he had
- 22:38Speaker 1: that decision with Vargas, that was a draw after coming
- 22:42Speaker 1: out of a nice win over dog bay Ronnie Rios.
- 22:46Speaker 1: He took care of him, Foreman, that was a decision
- 22:49Speaker 1: or not foreman, Raymond Ford, I just put that together.
- 22:53Speaker 1: What the hell Raymond Ford? Though that was a close
- 22:58Speaker 1: I thought Ford eked it out, but that was a
- 23:02Speaker 1: close fight. So I don't think you'll have a lot
- 23:06Speaker 1: of trouble with Donahey Dohenny? I mean Dony. I'm just
- 23:14Speaker 1: messing up names all over the place. And then I
- 23:18Speaker 1: would say the closest fight on that card is Andrew
- 23:22Speaker 1: Caine and Charlie Edwards. I think that, you know, has
- 23:27Speaker 1: a chance to be a very competitive fight in odds wise,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I believe. I'll double check, but I believe that's the
- 23:36Speaker 1: closest that I see on that card. Let me see here,
- 23:43Speaker 1: Oh you know what that Brad, Yeah, that Balluta. I
- 23:47Speaker 1: think it's Balluta and Strand, Brad Strand. That's actually a
- 23:52Speaker 1: very close fight it in the end, it's not gonna
- 23:55Speaker 1: mean a whole lot, but that actually will be the closest.
- 23:59Speaker 1: But yeah, Charlie Edwards is a plus two twenty five underdog,
- 24:04Speaker 1: so I like canaan that. But you know, I'm looking
- 24:07Speaker 1: at that underdog plus two h five plus two twenty five.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I think Charlie Edwards might be able
- 24:17Speaker 1: to do it. It's far. I don't know. I got
- 24:20Speaker 1: Kine to win, but I am kind of eyeball on that.
- 24:23Speaker 1: But that should be a good competitive fight. I wouldn't
- 24:25Speaker 1: doubt if it was like a majority decision or something
- 24:28Speaker 1: like that. In Austin Williams Ammo Williams return as a
- 24:35Speaker 1: slight and I'm talking about slight favorite Patrese. His opponent
- 24:45Speaker 1: plus one sixty plus one seventy five is the highest.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And I know edgar Berlanga was a little disappointed, and
- 24:57Speaker 1: it was kind of random that he would is uh
- 25:01Speaker 1: that he was on this undercard. Now they are in Orlando,
- 25:07Speaker 1: and we know, you know, the Puerto Rican fan base,
- 25:11Speaker 1: a lot of Puerto Ricans living in Orlando and in
- 25:14Speaker 1: that area. So but he wanted to go to Puerto Rico.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I remember seeing something about that, and uh, so Amo,
- 25:24Speaker 1: he should be able to get this done. But his
- 25:28Speaker 1: opponent's pretty good man, Patrece. Uh god, I forget how
- 25:32Speaker 1: let's say his last name, we will Nie, I can't remember,
- 25:37Speaker 1: but he's a he's a he's an okay fighter. He's
- 25:40Speaker 1: pretty good. I liked what I saw out of him.
- 25:44Speaker 1: It's just like even at the DeAndre uh DeAndre Warrior
- 25:49Speaker 1: and uh Steven Butler. You know, he looked good in
- 25:53Speaker 1: those fights, but you know, I'm not really high on
- 25:59Speaker 1: those guys, you know. Yeh. And then we did fight
- 26:03Speaker 1: that fell Koe fell Ko fell Clyle. You know, it
- 26:11Speaker 1: was a weird fight. Obviously, they were both I think
- 26:13Speaker 1: they were both undefeated going into that, and I don't know,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I just I just think that'll be like a close fight.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I know a lot of people are high on Ammo,
- 26:26Speaker 1: but that fell co. That was a I mean, we
- 26:29Speaker 1: never got to see the rest of the fight, but
- 26:31Speaker 1: that was like a fifty to fifty fight at the
- 26:33Speaker 1: time that it got stopped. So you know, we we
- 26:40Speaker 1: we shall see, we shall see. Yeah, this weekend is
- 26:44Speaker 1: kind of like there. There are some I think the
- 26:47Speaker 1: closest fights are fights that people will say, where's this
- 26:50Speaker 1: going to lead us? But sometimes sometimes just like that,
- 27:00Speaker 1: you have Ortiz and Yomar on the under card, Alamo,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I don't I don't really see that being an issue there. Yeah,
- 27:13Speaker 1: but Omari Jones is on the card. But you know, Berlanga,
- 27:18Speaker 1: like I said, Berlanga is returning. I wonder if he's
- 27:21Speaker 1: gonna have a parade if he wins this one. No,
- 27:24Speaker 1: And I'm just messing around because you know, he did
- 27:27Speaker 1: the victory tour without really doing much against against you know,
- 27:33Speaker 1: Canelo had a big victory. You think he's still on
- 27:36Speaker 1: the Victory tour. But this Jonathan Gonzalez Ortiz, you know,
- 27:44Speaker 1: he just he just really hasn't faced much competition. And
- 27:49Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna turn around and
- 27:51Speaker 1: act like before the Canelo fight that Berlanga did. But
- 27:56Speaker 1: I understood why Berlanga got that fight. You know, he
- 28:01Speaker 1: was a good, great B side, perfect B side, and uh,
- 28:06Speaker 1: you know that was clear. That was very clear in that.
- 28:11Speaker 1: So I think it's just, you know, get back fight
- 28:15Speaker 1: for him in the card. You know, It's just it
- 28:21Speaker 1: doesn't do a whole lot for me. But the main
- 28:26Speaker 1: event could be very competitive, and I do like, like
- 28:30Speaker 1: I said, I do, I do like animals to win,
- 28:33Speaker 1: but he's gonna have to work for it. I do
- 28:35Speaker 1: think that. And that Patrice dude, he's pretty good. I
- 28:40Speaker 1: could maybe see him pull on the upset. I'm not
- 28:43Speaker 1: saying I got a bet on him, but uh, in
- 28:47Speaker 1: Jamaine or Chieze, you know, he's a clear figer. He
- 28:50Speaker 1: should win. Jalil Hackett is on the card as well
- 28:55Speaker 1: against Jose Roman or Jose Basquez, so you also have
- 29:05Speaker 1: before the weekends over Callim Walsh is fighting as well.
- 29:11Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean it is what it is. I
- 29:14Speaker 1: think that probably the main event, like I said, of
- 29:19Speaker 1: the designed card from Orlando, and then Charlie Edwards and
- 29:26Speaker 1: Andrew Kane, those for me are the the ones that
- 29:29Speaker 1: kind of stand out, I would have to say. So yeah,
- 29:35Speaker 1: that about wraps it up as far as the preview,
- 29:40Speaker 1: I think I think we might get one or two upsets.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Hopefully we do, just just for the fun of it.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Right now, if you're a fan of one of those
- 29:48Speaker 1: fighters that pulled the upset or not a fan, it
- 29:51Speaker 1: is what it is. But overall, you know, hopefully we
- 29:55Speaker 1: get Ball gets through this, nick Ball and no offense
- 29:59Speaker 1: again TJ. But like Nick balls in a good position
- 30:04Speaker 1: and he could really get a big fight after this.
- 30:07Speaker 1: In fact, he was talking about Stephen Fulton in some
- 30:11Speaker 1: other fights, so that'd be pretty interesting, all right. So
- 30:21Speaker 1: we talked a little bit about the t KO Turkey
- 30:25Speaker 1: Dana White a deal kind of knew it was coming
- 30:30Speaker 1: by this time, right, new there was something to it.
- 30:36Speaker 1: And you listen to Dana and you listen to Turkey,
- 30:40Speaker 1: and now that we've seen multiple interviews, right whether it
- 30:46Speaker 1: was on ESPN multiple times or even I'm not a
- 30:51Speaker 1: big fan of him, but Dan Rafiel or whatever, right,
- 30:54Speaker 1: And as far as like real follow up, I thought
- 31:00Speaker 1: I actually did think that Raphael had some real follow
- 31:04Speaker 1: up at least to get a little bit more detail
- 31:06Speaker 1: out of it. But yeah, when it first got announced
- 31:10Speaker 1: and they were talking about it, he kind of made
- 31:13Speaker 1: it sound like he's going to develop his own fighters,
- 31:16Speaker 1: which obviously if you're a promoter, you're going to write.
- 31:21Speaker 1: But the more I heard in interviews, like I said,
- 31:26Speaker 1: the Dan one was like then he started getting a
- 31:29Speaker 1: little bit more details. You know that they have a
- 31:31Speaker 1: lot of work to do. They have a lot of
- 31:33Speaker 1: hiring him and Nick Kahn, they have a lot of
- 31:36Speaker 1: hiring to do matchmaking, scouts, that type of stuff. And
- 31:41Speaker 1: he just talked about like the infrastructure that has to
- 31:44Speaker 1: be built, and of course he talked about just having
- 31:48Speaker 1: the one belt, and you know, he was asked about
- 31:51Speaker 1: the Ali Act, and that's kind of a couple of
- 31:57Speaker 1: things that like Turkey, right, he had he had Frank
- 32:01Speaker 1: Warren and Eddie working together, which they had never done.
- 32:05Speaker 1: But I never looked too deep into that, to be honest,
- 32:09Speaker 1: It's nice, but I never looked too deep into that,
- 32:11Speaker 1: just because I knew why they were working together and
- 32:17Speaker 1: that was the almighty dollar, and it wasn't a dollar
- 32:21Speaker 1: that they had to do a ton of work for.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I mean, they've done a ton of work to get
- 32:27Speaker 1: to that point, but I'm talking about, you know, to
- 32:30Speaker 1: get their percentages off the top of the fighter. And
- 32:34Speaker 1: they're promoting inside of the Arabia a lot of these cards,
- 32:37Speaker 1: so they didn't have to do a lot of work
- 32:40Speaker 1: once they got there, right, And so bringing them together, yeah,
- 32:45Speaker 1: that was great. It is great, but there's really no
- 32:49Speaker 1: excuse for them never to work together prior. You know, sometimes,
- 32:55Speaker 1: and I've always said this, you know, fights can be
- 32:58Speaker 1: made when they're ready to be made financially. That's usually
- 33:02Speaker 1: where we're at. And you saw some of these fights
- 33:06Speaker 1: that were no longer probably gonna get made or couldn't
- 33:09Speaker 1: get made here based off of politics and financial stuff.
- 33:16Speaker 1: A lot of it was financed like you know better
- 33:20Speaker 1: BV and Beval that was just not a fight like
- 33:24Speaker 1: you can bring in the uh the war stuff and
- 33:27Speaker 1: how you know backwards that quote unquote thought or semi
- 33:34Speaker 1: ruling was that was really stupid. But you know, the
- 33:39Speaker 1: odds that they were going to get that fight was
- 33:41Speaker 1: just never gonna happen because before you know, it could
- 33:44Speaker 1: have happened before the war started, you know, so it
- 33:47Speaker 1: was a long time in the making. So my point
- 33:52Speaker 1: being that a lot of people I did see a
- 33:55Speaker 1: lot of people all of a sudden look at Turkey
- 33:59Speaker 1: kind of side eye in the sense because it was like,
- 34:02Speaker 1: wait a second, because he's in there saying, well, we
- 34:06Speaker 1: have some little cards coming up, and he's talking about
- 34:10Speaker 1: the one, the one in Alcatraz and the one in
- 34:14Speaker 1: the Times Square, and he says, maybe we'll just take
- 34:17Speaker 1: those promoters and leave him in the jail, and then
- 34:19Speaker 1: he's messing around. But if you hear and he has obligations, right,
- 34:27Speaker 1: he does have obligations, contractual obligations. Now how long will
- 34:34Speaker 1: it go past that? That that's the interesting part because
- 34:38Speaker 1: Dana White even said that, you know, Turkey is working
- 34:41Speaker 1: with the sanctioning belts and he'll probably continue to do
- 34:44Speaker 1: that at least for a while, whereas he says, I
- 34:47Speaker 1: don't want to do that. He said he didn't want
- 34:49Speaker 1: to work with anybody else. So he wants to run
- 34:51Speaker 1: it like the UFC almost top to bottom. And does
- 34:58Speaker 1: that mean no morale Act and you're gonna flip it
- 35:01Speaker 1: to where you're paying the fighters way less. Are you
- 35:04Speaker 1: gonna basically, with the Saudi money, are you gonna overpay
- 35:08Speaker 1: a lot of people, a lot of fighters to get
- 35:11Speaker 1: them all under your you know, your watch. I guess
- 35:15Speaker 1: you could say all under your your umbrella and then
- 35:20Speaker 1: go off the ring magazine rankings, because that's what Dana
- 35:25Speaker 1: said too, like we're gonna get these guys up, and
- 35:28Speaker 1: then we're gonna know who's you know, who's the best
- 35:31Speaker 1: in the division, and then they're all gonna fight each other.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So the only way you could do that is extremely
- 35:37Speaker 1: skew the rankings for the ring right because they do
- 35:41Speaker 1: have a ring belt, right, and even at the Canelo
- 35:46Speaker 1: press conference, they even you know, said don't put the WBC.
- 35:49Speaker 1: He kind of shushed off the the WBC, which I
- 35:52Speaker 1: don't really give a shit about, you know, that's fine
- 35:55Speaker 1: with me. But I did notice he had that fatal
- 35:58Speaker 1: Fury belt in the in the picture belt, so they
- 36:01Speaker 1: got a sponsorship belt. Those are fine, I guess, which
- 36:06Speaker 1: is you know whatever. But so yeah, I mean, is
- 36:12Speaker 1: the Ali Act gone now? Is it gonna be tweaked? Clearly,
- 36:15Speaker 1: if you're a promotional outfit and you have a belt
- 36:19Speaker 1: that would be against it. Could you tweak certain things
- 36:23Speaker 1: about it? Could you rewrite it? Uh? Clearly he's you know,
- 36:27Speaker 1: Dana is tight with Trump and every you know people
- 36:30Speaker 1: that could get it changed. So we'll see there. Like
- 36:37Speaker 1: I said, are you gonna overpay, you know, offer so
- 36:40Speaker 1: much money that people, a lot of the top fighters
- 36:43Speaker 1: are gonna you know, be under your umbrella? And then
- 36:47Speaker 1: what are you gonna do? And it's kind of interesting
- 36:50Speaker 1: because you know, T k O, Dana White, they don't
- 36:54Speaker 1: have an investment in this now. I'm not saying they're
- 36:57Speaker 1: not gonna have They're they're they're gonna have to invest
- 36:59Speaker 1: in this sene of like their own infrastructure and all that. Probably,
- 37:03Speaker 1: but like as of right now, the sadis are the
- 37:07Speaker 1: ones flipping the bill. So you know, it's a lot
- 37:15Speaker 1: easier if you have a large amount of money and
- 37:23Speaker 1: you're not putting any of the money up right, and
- 37:26Speaker 1: you're getting a fee, like they said a ten million
- 37:29Speaker 1: dollar fee or something like that. You're getting a fee
- 37:32Speaker 1: to just be a promoter. So and and in that
- 37:39Speaker 1: Raphael interview, he did talk about how we got a
- 37:43Speaker 1: lot of things to do. He got a lot of infrastructure,
- 37:45Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of talent scouts and matchmaking,
- 37:49Speaker 1: like I said, but he said, you know, we got
- 37:51Speaker 1: like one hundred and fifty people that we want to hire.
- 37:54Speaker 1: And he said the fighters, you know, like he talked
- 37:57Speaker 1: about signing a of fighters, right and you know, if
- 38:05Speaker 1: they're not having to put up the money, you know,
- 38:11Speaker 1: and it's just about their corporate sponsors. There the behemoth
- 38:16Speaker 1: that is behind t KO and that's where he feels like,
- 38:21Speaker 1: you know, they can really move this thing forward. And
- 38:25Speaker 1: he talks about how he's got to rebuild the sport.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Obviously the rebuild part would be the sanctioning belts. He
- 38:31Speaker 1: said he didn't want to do any business with them,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and ultimately even lou de Bella's UH interview lately with
- 38:40Speaker 1: their UH with Aria like that's Aria are I'm all
- 38:46Speaker 1: off today? I did not get a good night sleep.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I think I'm just kind of messed up. Anyway. He
- 38:53Speaker 1: even said that, you know, like he thinks that about
- 38:59Speaker 1: two to three years they can have a firm grip
- 39:01Speaker 1: on it. But he said, you know a lot of
- 39:04Speaker 1: people like Eddie Herd and saying that you know these guys,
- 39:07Speaker 1: you know, the belts, and it means a lot to them,
- 39:09Speaker 1: and of course they do, of course they do. It's
- 39:12Speaker 1: a lot easier as a fan just to sit back
- 39:15Speaker 1: and say stuff about the sanctioning belts when that does
- 39:21Speaker 1: those belts do help you. They can hurt you, but
- 39:23Speaker 1: they do help you, especially just your average fighter. That
- 39:27Speaker 1: helps you tremendously because then at least there's some worth,
- 39:32Speaker 1: there's a little bit of leverage at times. YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 39:35Speaker 1: But he also said money, So you want to take
- 39:41Speaker 1: this money or you want to drop the belt and
- 39:43Speaker 1: take this money. You just want to hold on your
- 39:44Speaker 1: belt and knock. And if they sign enough fighters then
- 39:47Speaker 1: there's not going to be as much fight. So, like
- 39:49Speaker 1: I said, it kind of sounds like another side of
- 39:52Speaker 1: the street or a brand new boulevard. But if you
- 39:56Speaker 1: get enough. And this is where the similarities are with Hayman,
- 40:01Speaker 1: he was using multiple promoters in this to make it legal,
- 40:06Speaker 1: of course, and he's not a promoter. He was an
- 40:09Speaker 1: advisor obviously, and a manager. He has a managing license,
- 40:14Speaker 1: so he was getting less than most promoters would off
- 40:19Speaker 1: of it. But he did have upwards of one hundred
- 40:24Speaker 1: and fifty to two hundred fighters, and that's why in
- 40:27Speaker 1: any given division, he could just do in house fights
- 40:31Speaker 1: and a lot of them worked, doubt and so all
- 40:34Speaker 1: Honky Dorian and you know, and like I said, the
- 40:39Speaker 1: media was freaking out when he was doing it about
- 40:41Speaker 1: even talking about a PBC belt. Whether they were really
- 40:44Speaker 1: going to do that or not. I don't. I mean,
- 40:45Speaker 1: we don't have a factual thing there. But a lot
- 40:50Speaker 1: of the media did make a big stink about how
- 40:54Speaker 1: the PBC originally didn't have the fighters getting belted, right,
- 41:00Speaker 1: and they said, oh, they're taking away their dream because
- 41:03Speaker 1: they you know. And also, like I said, they were
- 41:06Speaker 1: freaking out with some of the uh what was deemed overpaying.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Then it disrupted the market. Well this what de Zone did.
- 41:17Speaker 1: And then now with with a Sadi's this is way
- 41:20Speaker 1: beyond you know, messing with the market a little bit.
- 41:24Speaker 1: So it all matters how they go about it, and
- 41:29Speaker 1: if Dana and White doesn't, if they don't, if TKO
- 41:34Speaker 1: doesn't have to put up the money, and it is
- 41:37Speaker 1: kind of just like a boxing league, if they don't
- 41:41Speaker 1: have to put up the money. And then he's talking
- 41:42Speaker 1: about the top five, top ten rankings, they're all going
- 41:45Speaker 1: to fight each other, Well, that would mean you'd have
- 41:47Speaker 1: to you'd have to have contracts with them. And he
- 41:50Speaker 1: talked about how now he you know, he had like
- 41:52Speaker 1: thirteen or sixteen to begin with with the UFC bought
- 41:55Speaker 1: it and then and now he has over a thousand contracts,
- 41:59Speaker 1: which I didn't really that much. So that's my guess
- 42:04Speaker 1: that they're just gonna throw money at it. And you
- 42:10Speaker 1: wonder about the young fighters though, Like the young fighters
- 42:13Speaker 1: as they come up, where is the pag gonna start
- 42:18Speaker 1: to be way different? If you're paying someone who only
- 42:23Speaker 1: has thirteen fights and they don't get a big fight
- 42:26Speaker 1: for like six to eight fights, let's say, and they're
- 42:29Speaker 1: developing clearly, just like right now, they're not making a
- 42:33Speaker 1: ton of money compared to at a high level. But
- 42:39Speaker 1: are they gonna con is it just about getting fighters
- 42:43Speaker 1: under your umbrella and overpaying them? And then with the
- 42:47Speaker 1: people that are kind of entering their primer prospects now,
- 42:51Speaker 1: is that when they'll start to flip the script. We've
- 42:54Speaker 1: heard the eighty twenty thing. It's kind of a vague reference,
- 42:58Speaker 1: but in boxing eighty two eighty percent, and that's not
- 43:02Speaker 1: all I've heard that a lot. That's not the case
- 43:05Speaker 1: when it comes to it's not the one case, right
- 43:11Speaker 1: of every event is that. But when you're talking about
- 43:17Speaker 1: a pay per view event and a bigger event like that,
- 43:22Speaker 1: you know, eighty percent of it goes to the fighters, right,
- 43:27Speaker 1: so that they the promoters, and you know, they get
- 43:31Speaker 1: less as far as the whole event. Now, they get
- 43:35Speaker 1: money out of the you know, the fighters purse, but
- 43:41Speaker 1: and then you have management all that stuff. So so
- 43:44Speaker 1: that's what I'm wondering, and then the UFC, you could
- 43:46Speaker 1: flip it on the twenty eighty where the UFC gets
- 43:50Speaker 1: eighty percent and the fighters get twenty. Now, that might
- 43:53Speaker 1: start to straight out more as we you know, with
- 43:55Speaker 1: the lawsuit and all that stuff. But and we know
- 43:58Speaker 1: the UFC is not under that ALI Act. So if ultimately,
- 44:05Speaker 1: like there's no way that what he did with the
- 44:09Speaker 1: UFC in building the brand to the level he has,
- 44:16Speaker 1: I'm very doubtful he'd be able to do that with
- 44:19Speaker 1: boxing unless the pay is different. And the thing is,
- 44:26Speaker 1: though he's not paying him, it's not coming out of
- 44:29Speaker 1: their pocket, so it may have a different mentality there.
- 44:34Speaker 1: But as far as like turning it into a juggernaut
- 44:38Speaker 1: company that's actually making revenue at a high level, you
- 44:46Speaker 1: know that that's where that's where the what if. And
- 44:48Speaker 1: I'm very open minded when it comes to this. I
- 44:51Speaker 1: see a fair amount of negatives potentially, I also see
- 44:56Speaker 1: a fair amount of positives. You know, I do see
- 44:59Speaker 1: some of the po positivity, though maybe some others don't
- 45:03Speaker 1: allow themselves to do that. It's not all positive, and
- 45:06Speaker 1: it's definitely not all negative, but I'm not gonna you know,
- 45:10Speaker 1: there are some things where you look like they're even
- 45:13Speaker 1: having a little star issue right now, or a major
- 45:16Speaker 1: star issue, I would say. And he has in a sense,
- 45:24Speaker 1: in a sense fooled some of his fans. But then again,
- 45:30Speaker 1: they get the fights at a higher pace than we
- 45:34Speaker 1: do as far as boxing fans, right, But the come
- 45:40Speaker 1: off the couch stuff when someone gets hurt, you know,
- 45:46Speaker 1: Like we just saw that with Baccoli. You know, he
- 45:50Speaker 1: had no real business. It sounded good at the start,
- 45:52Speaker 1: but he had really no business being in that ring.
- 45:55Speaker 1: It's kind of worthless, actually not worthless to him, but
- 46:00Speaker 1: and hey, that's his prerogative. He took it. There's no
- 46:02Speaker 1: I'm not ribbing in. I'm just saying, like there's some
- 46:05Speaker 1: fights where they'll instead of postponing the event, they'll put
- 46:11Speaker 1: some shit together and you're like, really, dude, So and
- 46:15Speaker 1: their pay per views, it's tough because each pay per
- 46:21Speaker 1: view just to have it only on ESPN plus ESPN
- 46:25Speaker 1: part of the deal was paying them a certain amount
- 46:27Speaker 1: of money no matter what. So all of a sudden,
- 46:30Speaker 1: the pay per view number wasn't as important as it
- 46:33Speaker 1: had been. Now we'll see moving forward because ESPN plus
- 46:38Speaker 1: ESPN wanted to build the plus right, so that was
- 46:42Speaker 1: when they and they still obviously want to increase it,
- 46:45Speaker 1: but it was at a different time frame. So would
- 46:48Speaker 1: a new deal be like that? Will the UFC even
- 46:51Speaker 1: be with ESPN? Is you know? And that's what he
- 46:55Speaker 1: talks about, a deal that he's going to work with
- 46:56Speaker 1: these networks and kind of work around their program. And
- 47:02Speaker 1: if he were to get a deal with the ESPN
- 47:05Speaker 1: or if he were to it's kind of like like
- 47:10Speaker 1: when he says he doesn't want to work with anybody,
- 47:14Speaker 1: is that, well, you know, these fighters have managers, so
- 47:18Speaker 1: he's gonna have to work with someone, just maybe not promoters.
- 47:21Speaker 1: So would he be able to promote, for instance, the
- 47:25Speaker 1: PBC and use that Amazon thing. You know, he's not
- 47:31Speaker 1: a promoter. He has other promoters that you know that
- 47:37Speaker 1: promote for him, But so that's where I'm wondering. And
- 47:41Speaker 1: then if you're gonna get over one hundred, one hundred
- 47:45Speaker 1: and fifty fighters, let's say, you know, I don't know
- 47:51Speaker 1: it's going to be interesting, but I do think that
- 47:55Speaker 1: they will be able to buy out a lot of people,
- 47:57Speaker 1: and you know, I guess like monopoly wise and like
- 48:04Speaker 1: literally buying out all the promoters. You know, maybe that's
- 48:09Speaker 1: not even gonna be legal. I'll be honest, I don't know,
- 48:14Speaker 1: but I've always said, if someone's gonna actually change it
- 48:18Speaker 1: and ultimately make it better than it was at the time,
- 48:22Speaker 1: at the current time, it would have to be like
- 48:25Speaker 1: just getting everyone together. And maybe you know, that part's
- 48:31Speaker 1: not gonna happen, And so he'll just get the fighters
- 48:34Speaker 1: and some of the management. He'll get along with some
- 48:37Speaker 1: of them, won't. He generally has said good things about
- 48:41Speaker 1: al Hayman in the past. He didn't mention his name
- 48:44Speaker 1: in the interviews I heard, anyway, he mentioned Eddie Hearn.
- 48:49Speaker 1: He said that he has a good relationship Eddie doesn't
- 48:51Speaker 1: like Oscar obviously or Bob Aaron. So we'll see. We'll see.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Boxing in many ways is a mess and has been
- 49:01Speaker 1: a mess. But you know, we've also had a string
- 49:05Speaker 1: even before you know, Turkey got involved of a lot
- 49:10Speaker 1: of unifications undisputed. So the whole thing of like when
- 49:15Speaker 1: Dana White says no one's invested in the sport besides him,
- 49:19Speaker 1: like Sadi, like Turkey, that's just bullshit. Obviously, in the
- 49:24Speaker 1: last ten years we saw a lot of investment. Now
- 49:28Speaker 1: in the end, did it grab what we you know,
- 49:31Speaker 1: did it produce enough to where now it's sustainable? That's
- 49:36Speaker 1: the question at hand. And I'll say this Turkey wise,
- 49:42Speaker 1: I'd much rather have his fights that he's buying be
- 49:48Speaker 1: on a platform that's bigger. And maybe that is the ESPN.
- 49:55Speaker 1: You know, maybe they just literally fill in we're top ranks,
- 49:59Speaker 1: you know, top cards. I don't know, he said, depending
- 50:03Speaker 1: on how many slots they have for us per year,
- 50:06Speaker 1: that'll be, That'll depend on how many you know, then
- 50:09Speaker 1: we can see how many fighters, well it won't need
- 50:11Speaker 1: and that type of thing. So and he talked about
- 50:14Speaker 1: stacking the cards and and that is something that you know,
- 50:19Speaker 1: I think has gotten a little better, I'll say, but
- 50:24Speaker 1: for the ones that have to create some sort of revenue,
- 50:28Speaker 1: it is tough to stack the cards, but it will
- 50:30Speaker 1: be much It's a lot less difficult to stack the
- 50:33Speaker 1: cards with Turkey because he's just paying. He's just paying
- 50:37Speaker 1: so well that he ends up getting you know. So
- 50:39Speaker 1: he has had some really great cards, and obviously that
- 50:42Speaker 1: the twenty second one, the recent one. Like I've said,
- 50:45Speaker 1: I don't think you're gonna be able to beat that.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I hope so, but I you don't even need to
- 50:52Speaker 1: beat it, you know, even if you could match it
- 50:54Speaker 1: or come close to it a bunch of times, that
- 50:56Speaker 1: would be phenomenal. So it's it's kind of a mixed bad.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I'm not so worried about what Dana White said over
- 51:04Speaker 1: the years about boxing, because to be fair, you know,
- 51:09Speaker 1: he's actually used the some of the older blueprint for boxing. Yeah,
- 51:16Speaker 1: he just could get away with it because they could
- 51:18Speaker 1: just have one belt and buy out the competition for
- 51:20Speaker 1: the most part. There's other MMA stuff. Some are doing okay,
- 51:24Speaker 1: some are doing pretty good. But you know, they're the
- 51:28Speaker 1: they're the hugest company. So we'll see, you know, we'll see,
- 51:34Speaker 1: we'll see if it can be profitable. Because ultimately, in
- 51:38Speaker 1: the from twenty twenty five to rehod twenty thirty, right
- 51:42Speaker 1: in that timeframe, in the five years, can he make
- 51:46Speaker 1: it profitable. And the only way he can make it
- 51:48Speaker 1: profitable is if he got all those fighters and then
- 51:52Speaker 1: reduce the pay because the current or even close to
- 51:57Speaker 1: the current pay rate that he's paying, it's just not
- 52:00Speaker 1: going to be profitble. But I but I do I
- 52:04Speaker 1: get the sense that, you know, Turkey did realize that
- 52:09Speaker 1: his own is not the platform in America. It's just not.
- 52:16Speaker 1: And there's rumors about, you know, TKO might promote the
- 52:22Speaker 1: Canelo Crawford because that's what he said, that that that
- 52:25Speaker 1: you know, our first the first one is going to
- 52:28Speaker 1: be in September. Well, you know, that'd be a big splash.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Now there's also rumors that might go to Netflix, you know,
- 52:37Speaker 1: and so that would make sense why Turkey offered four fights.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Maybe they didn't in his words anyway, that he didn't
- 52:50Speaker 1: actually match the per like the same thing Canelo was
- 52:54Speaker 1: going to get for a one off against Jake Paul.
- 52:57Speaker 1: But overall, you know, if it's a if it's a
- 53:02Speaker 1: four fight deal, then all of a sudden, you know,
- 53:05Speaker 1: it makes a lot more sense. But yeah, if they
- 53:07Speaker 1: were to put that on a bigger platform, that would
- 53:11Speaker 1: be you couldn't deny it if they got that thing
- 53:13Speaker 1: on Netflix or Amazon or ESPN. And you know, even
- 53:18Speaker 1: it I mean, I think it's still you know, I
- 53:21Speaker 1: just assumed that it was going to be on pay
- 53:23Speaker 1: per view, but even a twenty five dollars pay per
- 53:25Speaker 1: view is better. But like I said, ultimately, when they
- 53:31Speaker 1: talk about building it from the ground up and making
- 53:36Speaker 1: it a profitable business and a juggernaut, the pay would
- 53:41Speaker 1: have to come down. Then. You know, it's but I
- 53:46Speaker 1: could see him having success Saint a White in the
- 53:51Speaker 1: somewhat short to midterm though. It's just a matter of
- 53:55Speaker 1: what they do with that pay after. My guess is
- 53:58Speaker 1: they'd get like I said, they get all the fire
- 54:00Speaker 1: or both of the fighters, and then the new fighters
- 54:04Speaker 1: coming up. You know, are they gonna have to overpay?
- 54:08Speaker 1: You know, are they gonna have to overpay for them?
- 54:11Speaker 1: But ultimately it's not going to be it's not going
- 54:15Speaker 1: to be that much. And then they don't go up
- 54:18Speaker 1: to those crazy ten million, thirty forty fifty, you know
- 54:21Speaker 1: what I mean, because the some of the amount he's
- 54:25Speaker 1: put out there, they're definitely not gaining that revenue. So
- 54:29Speaker 1: we'll see. I like to see how it plays out.
- 54:34Speaker 1: But like I said, when when Turkey says, when Dana says,
- 54:37Speaker 1: I'm not gonna work with anybody, okay, well then you
- 54:41Speaker 1: better have all the fighters or most of them, right.
- 54:47Speaker 1: And then when Turkey comes out and said, you know
- 54:49Speaker 1: he's not gonna put a bid for the Vaul Benavitez,
- 54:52Speaker 1: well does that and then he made it sound like
- 54:54Speaker 1: Beval knows where his money is. You know, he knows
- 54:57Speaker 1: who took care of him. So does that mean he
- 55:01Speaker 1: wants to do the trilogy instead? I can understand that
- 55:06Speaker 1: if he doesn't do the trilogy though obviously as long
- 55:10Speaker 1: as it better be it wants it. If he doesn't
- 55:13Speaker 1: do it and then he didn't been on BiVO Benefitez,
- 55:16Speaker 1: that'd be fucked up. So a lot of this stuff
- 55:19Speaker 1: has to play out. But yeah, I think, you know,
- 55:27Speaker 1: I wouldn't doubt if they start by bending the Ali
- 55:31Speaker 1: Act or just full on breaking it, I don't know.
- 55:36Speaker 1: So it's a good deal for TKO if they don't
- 55:39Speaker 1: have to put up any money at all, you know,
- 55:42Speaker 1: but they're actually the promoter, and we'll see the pushback,
- 55:47Speaker 1: you know, we can already see the pushback from the
- 55:50Speaker 1: general media, the media members the full time media members.
- 55:55Speaker 1: They're not pushing that crazy back like they did with PBC.
- 55:58Speaker 1: We obviously know why. But yeah, so that on that topic,
- 56:05Speaker 1: that's about it. Shouts out to Keith Thurman, like I said,
- 56:11Speaker 1: it was nice to see him back in the ring.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Hopefully you know you can keep doing his thing. Ah
- 56:21Speaker 1: here's boss boxing esquire right, he said, not for nothing.
- 56:25Speaker 1: But I'm hearing rumblings that t k O is basically
- 56:28Speaker 1: putting the Probellum crew back together to manage their boxing outfit.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I wonder if the new boxing league will be based
- 56:36Speaker 1: in du Bois Dubai. So Samson Boxing Cope besign a
- 56:48Speaker 1: co promotional deal with Eastach Lucero undefeated superman walterweight junior walter. However,
- 56:57Speaker 1: you must say it so that that's that there's something
- 57:01Speaker 1: to be said about his boxing, that's for sure. So
- 57:09Speaker 1: someone someone said first ko in like ten years for Keith.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Wonder if dude really that ass or did he take
- 57:21Speaker 1: a dive? Well, honestly, like, have you ever seen this
- 57:24Speaker 1: guy fight? Have you ever just box wrecked his ass?
- 57:30Speaker 1: You kind of know right there. Yeah, So, anyway, I
- 57:35Speaker 1: did see this from brunch Boxing. Shots out to Matt
- 57:38Speaker 1: and the Crew Ezra, the Mexican Al Hayman as well.
- 57:44Speaker 1: For those who know know he was talking about a
- 57:47Speaker 1: programming note when it comes to that card from Japan.
- 57:51Speaker 1: So the triple header, which, like I said, they're triple headers,
- 57:55Speaker 1: and quadruple headers tend to be very entertaining regardless if
- 57:59Speaker 1: it's one or whatever. Tomorrow's huge Championship triple header from
- 58:03Speaker 1: Japan will now start at five a m. Eastern on
- 58:07Speaker 1: ESPN Plus. So there, so there's that, okay. Oh. Also,
- 58:18Speaker 1: Mauricio Laura was as a two year ban from ukat
- 58:25Speaker 1: for testing positive for a substance. The band will run
- 58:27Speaker 1: through March six, twenty twenty six. Fred Garvin only fighters,
- 58:34Speaker 1: Only fighters. The UK bands are foreigners. If you're from
- 58:37Speaker 1: the UK, you'll just drag it out for years and
- 58:39Speaker 1: they'll just give up. Yeah. I saw a bunch of
- 58:42Speaker 1: comments like that. That is kind of funny. Thing is
- 58:44Speaker 1: once you put like the lawsuit thread on them, they
- 58:48Speaker 1: don't have a big budget, so I know that does
- 58:50Speaker 1: limit it, you know. Augustine Warres says Thurman. Thurman needs
- 58:58Speaker 1: one more fight before tim Zoo. His legs look stiff.
- 59:02Speaker 1: He needs to be in the ring more. Great matchmaking
- 59:04Speaker 1: for his comeback. Yeah, I think ultimately he's right. I
- 59:07Speaker 1: don't think that's going to be the case. And some
- 59:11Speaker 1: of it is just, you know, the risk of having
- 59:16Speaker 1: another fight, having another camp and getting hurt, you know,
- 59:19Speaker 1: I honestly think that plays into it. But to your point,
- 59:22Speaker 1: that makes sense, do do do do? What else? We got?
- 59:32Speaker 3: Yeah, in the Ucata paperwork, it kind of made it
- 59:37Speaker 3: sound like they were under unaware that he had fought
- 59:42Speaker 3: after that, so that was kind of weird.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I did notice that as well. Let's see here, h oh,
- 59:58Speaker 1: Caesar Tapio or Tapia Lettel Tapia. He did have a
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: nice little little knockout there, knock dude down with a big,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: big punch, and yeah, it's fun. Like I mentioned, July
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: sixth is something that they're lining up for Keith Urmanton
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: and Timsue on the main event on the Gold Coast there.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: So obviously, like I said, Timsu has to past the
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: his test. Joey Spencer and I believe they're from from
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: what I heard that they're gonna do this. They're gonna
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: do the same thing to where it will be available,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: maybe it'll be available live. I'm not sure. There was
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: some talk about well, we heard Virtual Artise talk about
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: because we heard we heard that he may need he
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: might need a search. Potentially, he said he's supposed to
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: take because they were talking about fights that whether it's
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: actually being negotiated or not, or offers are out right.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: He basically said, I am supposed to take a fight
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: with an injured hand and the healing laceration of my eyebrows.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: He said, I bet if I had taken the fight
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: knowing I had these injuries, and if I had gotten
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: worship training camp, I'd have to cancel it. So so
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: he right now, he may not even I don't know.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: He may not be able to fight for quicker like
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: a quick turnaround or not even a quick turnaround, but
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: just in general, he may not be able to He
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: may not be able to do it. Top rank by
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the way, signed and manual Chance abandon weight eighteen year
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: old prospect. And I that Wasserman Boxing that you bank
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: junior card or not you bank Harlem, you bank two
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: point three four million. I saw that from Wasserman Boxing
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: and Conlin was on that card too. Yeah, there was,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: like I said, there was a little back and forth
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: on you know, main events and Bakrahm got into it.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: They were talking about, oh, there's you know, there's there's
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: news going out there, there's fights going on. You know.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I saw a bunch of people talking about it that
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: there's discussions. But then Virgil's dad was like, that's bullshit.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: That's news to me, and I'm his dad, and Virginal
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Archief Senior goes on to say, please tell me what
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: all the terms he agreed on and that type of thing,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and basically maybe it was you know, this is what
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: made events said, well, the fight was offered to Bakram
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: and he accepted and agreed to all terms balls in
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: your court. So whether that you know, I don't know.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: To be honest with you, I really don't know. Some offer,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: it sounds like offers was out there. It also sound
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: made it sound like they both made offers. There was
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: also speaking of There was also.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: Talks about about Benevid's Benevid Benevidez and Bivil that they
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: have both offered each other to fight, and per his
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: Vaal's manager, we are not close to finalizing Benavidez.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: We are not close to finalizing anything at this point.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: We are two weeks away from fighting four big fights
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: in a year's time and right now we are just
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: closed store, kids and relatives. Samson, you know, both sides
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: have made offers to the other, but they're not close
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: to finalizing. So it sounds like there's something going on.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: But we'll see when it comes to Benavitez in Beval,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: but that would be awesome. I don't know if the
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: trilogy is going to happen or not, but it does
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: sound like the virginal artist side of it when it
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: comes to Turkey that you know, maybe the money is
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: not exactly they're just yet. I don't know. In Virtual Artists,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Junior you know said, well, you know, maybe the story's right,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: but when it comes to my side of it regarding me,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you know, that's bullshit. So I don't know. So what,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: we'll see how that all works out. By the way,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: lower Price did say she wants to fight two times
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: more in twenty twenty five, so we'll see. Like, oh,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: in the in the weight classes, I forgot to mention
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: that the weight classes, he wants to go back to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: the original weight classes. Dana White, I like the idea.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I wouldn't I would I wouldn't go back to just
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the original, but I would trim some like cruiserweight I
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: think should be there from light heavyweight to heavyweight. I
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: do think sixty eight and fifty four, I'm okay with those.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Once you start getting below forty, that's where I think
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you can start to to tweak. Forty to forty seven
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I'm okay with. But yeah, once you maybe once you
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: get past lightweight and down, I think that's where the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: tweaks can be made. I just think how big that
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: heavyweights are, you know, going from one seventy five to heavyweight.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I think cruiserweight should be there. And I gotta admit
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: I also wrestled too, so I when some people say, oh,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: what's six pounds or whatever, it's like, yeah, I hear that.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: But when I'm wrestling and you see all the wrestlers
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: one by one wrestle, you can see the difference in
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: each weight class. So now that's more. That's a little
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm kind of in between. I wouldn't
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: go back to just eight, but seventeen is way way
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: too much. I will say that, so you know that
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: that's just my opinion. We'll see a little boxing Twitter.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Fred Garvin says, hey, Paramount lost over two hundred million
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: this quarter, so you could see all boxing was a
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: big problem over there, and Steven w said, but you know,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Al Hayman, that's it's kind of funny. Oh here's some
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: good news. I saw this on probox TV, the little
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: clip of it that from the sounds of it, at
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: least the working however, they're contractual or not Lamont Roach's
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: promoter or at least some sort of paperwork. I'm not
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: totally sure, but they said it's basically a done deal
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: and it's not that far off the rematch, So that
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: is something that we definitely I'm really happy that's happening.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Definitely happy. There has been some discussions on the better
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: be a bivil pay per view stuff. There was a
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: report of forty five thousand byes. I've seen reports of
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: seventy five thousand byes. I'd assume it's one hundred and down.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I don't have the exact numbers. There was what I
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: do know for a fact, though, a report that's bullshit
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: that says the pay per view generated between thirty five
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: million and forty million in revenue by selling five hundred
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: and twenty thousand buys worldwide. Right, so thirty five or
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: forty million on five hundred and twenty thousand buys worldwide. Now,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: if you're gonna they charged twenty five dollars for it, okay,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: So what countries did they charge above that? You know?
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: And then how many buys did they get there? Because
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: if you did the math, five hundred and twenty thousand
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: times twenty five, that's thirteen million in profit. So if
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: you do what a pay per view is here, seventy
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: five bucks, and you do five, that's thirty nine million.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: So the difference of thirteen million and thirty nine million,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: clearly you don't have thirty five to forty because you'd
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: have to charge everyone across the world seventy five dollars,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: which that didn't happen, So that's clearly a bullshit one.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I did see Keisha as someone say, Oh the spit
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Bucket podcast said there are only two lightweight champs left
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: who have defeated every man put in front of them
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: as a professional boxer. They said, Keisha on Davis and
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Schur said, we can make that fight two hundred millipiece. Like,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: come on, dude, I know he's probably just bullshitting, but
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: come on, dude, that sounds like some silly shit. Obviously
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: that sounds like really really silly shit. Oh there was
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: also this uh super bad low blow. I saw the
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: clip on Brunch Boxing on Twitter. I saw the clip
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: of it and they were talking about Albert. I forgot
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: how to say his man backward got Gazaiev but but
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: that we're good. I don't know anyway, he punched this cruiser,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: this Romero when he was down. I mean it was blatant.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: It was blatant. I forgot to mention that. Oh. Also
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: a little follow up from the Boxing Voice when I
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: talked about Rya Venezuela. There is some new information there.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Whether it's one hund factor or not, I don't know.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: But Robert Garcia, his trainer, came out and said that
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Rya was forced to fight Russell and no other options
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: were presented, So that would prove Ness's point, right. That's
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: what the message was to me. And I did see
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: the clip too. I saw the clip of Robert Garcia
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: saying that does he mean at one forty? So only
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: one was offered at one fort at the belt, you
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: know where he had the belt, because we know that
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: he was offered tank. It just wasn't gonna be at
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: one forty. But and we've heard that al gives you,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: especially when you're in that position, gives you more than
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: one option. Well, he gave him more than one option.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Now you could make the argument, if this is true,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: that they could only fight Russell no other options. Yeah,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: that is messed up. I'll say that. However, he was
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: offered Tank Davis. So once you turned down the money man? Yeah?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: May you know have other people turned not fought the
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: money man? What were their options after that? I don't
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: That's what I don't know. I think the context is
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you mean at one forty, because they even said that,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: well they're the champ, they shouldn't have to go back
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: to thirty five. But it's not like they're huge onunders
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: or something like that. You know, Balnezuela could fight at
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: one thirty five again, So on one hand, sure, if
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you only gave him Russell and that's it, like on
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: that card, that's another thing. Was it just on that
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: card that there was no otherwise he'd get taken off
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: the card and put someplace else? Is that what he
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: means to I do need that context. But when you're
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: offered Gervante and you didn't fight him, you know there's something.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: There's something there. Oh, Turkey said, I heard Bob Aaron
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: once say the desert is uh, you know, has a
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: bunch of bleached bones. Of those who think they can
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: change boxing, he says, I'm from the middle of the
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: hottest desert in the world. It makes our skin thick.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: We can handle it. The one thing I'll say is
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: he doesn't have thick skin, that's for sure. Yeah, didn't
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: have thick skin. By the way, that Albert dude did
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: win the fight against Cruz one sixteen. I did actually
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: forget too. I did forget to mention that Jake Donovan
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: on Twitter after they were talking about After Turkey was saying,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: you know he's not he's not going to bid on
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: benevete'z Beval, Jake said that if I'm benevit decide, I'm
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: asking WBC to immediately send this purse bid. This statement
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: all but eliminates most of the competition right out of
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: the gate. Yeah, that's a good point. And that's another thing,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: you know, Eddie and others. Actually I should say said, well,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: it sounds like there's some talk between them, maybe, but
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: also like that, I think it's the IBF is first
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: in line, So you know, I don't know, Like that's
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying about the IBF. So they're first in line. Well,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: we know who the better you know, fighter is or
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: the better fight. That's clear as day. So that's the
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: thing about the IBF. Yes, they get to their mandos,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: you know, more urgently, I guess you could say. But
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: that's why I don't bend over back where it's like
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: many people do to give them a big praise over it,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: because look at their rankings a lot of the times.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: And until the IBF starts ranking champans, then I'll give
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: them some serious credit. Then then I will, then I will.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: But other than that, you know, we'll see. This is
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: from Twitter. I can't tell the account. I don't know.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: It's it's chopped off. Someone sent me this. Uh, bivil
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Benevite is the fight that we all want to see.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: It's the best fight and the best So if somebody
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: comes out claiming to want to fix boxing and that's
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: not the fight they're interested, and it really begs the
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: question what fights do they want for bivol? Well, like
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I said, if it's the trilogy, cool, If not, whatever,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: this Anthony Munez says, So in other words, Benavite is
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: ducking off of that on Twitter. That was so weird,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: So so weird. Do do do? I think? Yeah, I
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: don't know. I just hope it doesn't turn into an
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: other side of the street, you know, because we already
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: had that issue. But if you are on your own
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: side of the street, you better make the best fights.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: And that's something that I stress just because of the
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: climate we were in at that time. So yeah, well
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: we'll we'll see how this all turns out. Like I said,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I don't I like this. I like to see it,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: you know, but I don't know. Oh, by the way,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: it was this was from Boxing King Media. Eddie Hern
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: has confirmed the IBF mandatory. It is first in line,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: better better be got an exception to face evolve the
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: rematching conditions that he fights effort next. So you know,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: is he gonna stand up for his dude or is
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: he gonna want to see the best fight? If that
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: even happens, you know, it literally might be that they're
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: just gonna make the trilogy. This was kind of funny,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: as I'm Matt on Twitter says Canelo like on the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Ring magazine, They're they're asking him questions. It's a post
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: there and he says, uh, what changed your Canelo? You know,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: asking a question, Canelo, what changed your mind? What changed
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: your opinion on the potential fight with Crawford, And Canelo's
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: answer was, people want to see that fight.
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: That's why all of a sudden and Matt quote tweeted
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: is David Bendie Benevidez in the room with us right now, Like,
- 1:17:36Speaker 5: what do you mean people want to see that fight?
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: That's why you change it around what are we what
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: are we talking about? I think that's about it. I
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: don't think I'm gonna go any further than that. We
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: will see. Oh, this is this was a direct quote
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: on the Pat McAfee show. He said, Turkey said this.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: There are small things also happening. I said to you
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: the Times Square and also the small card in al
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Care hold on, this is all messed up, okay, and
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: also a small card in the end of June at
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Alcatraz jail in San Francisco, maybe me and Dana keeping
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: some promoters there in jail after ha ha. So that's
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: what people were like, Oh, now you're not cool with them,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: you know that. That's what was like, Well, to me.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: It just sounds like a takeover. Is that that's what
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: it sounds like to me. Oh, this was big news.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I saw this on brunch Boxing. Taylor's Serrano will have
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: a trilogy in a historic all women's event on Netflix.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: That's freaking huge. July eleventh, Madison Square Garden Most Valuable
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Promotions Shots out the Most Valuable Promotions, Taylor Shroanto on Netflix. Dude,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: that is phenomenal. That's a great way to end the show. Anyway,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna get out of here, enjoy the fights. We'll
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: see you next week. Peach
