- 0:00Speaker 1: Because it makes you feel like you have something in
- 0:02Speaker 1: common with these kids, with us, because again, part of
- 0:07Speaker 1: creating this platform was to humanize the experience. I don't
- 0:12Speaker 1: want people to view celebrity kids and think, oh, we're
- 0:17Speaker 1: so different, right, this is gon to the game. Legacy
- 0:23Speaker 1: is weak in every beating rhyme with the president beat
- 0:26Speaker 1: we're running on us and the time less long but
- 0:30Speaker 1: sagredos time we be along on to the game, carrying
- 0:35Speaker 1: in the plane. It goes off the path, but it's
- 0:38Speaker 1: annyway we run and proclaim this is go to the game.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Legacy is exported. Someone's born to the game. Produced by
- 0:53Speaker 1: Archimedia Group and collaboration with Inflection Network and distributed through iHeartMedia.
- 0:58Speaker 1: This is a space where the children and families of
- 1:00Speaker 1: iconic athletes, entertainers, and cultural figures share the truth behind legacy,
- 1:05Speaker 1: not just what their families did, but who they were
- 1:07Speaker 1: and how that legacy continues today. We have each other.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We have each other. It's a cake. I don't have
- 1:16Speaker 1: it run a show. We don't have a run a show.
- 1:18Speaker 1: We're just it's just us. I think that's just what
- 1:25Speaker 1: we needed to do. We needed to just take one
- 1:27Speaker 1: deep breath we've had a busy forty eight hours. I
- 1:30Speaker 1: think we've gone like maybe five hours of sleep. Within
- 1:34Speaker 1: the last two days. We had a huge work event
- 1:36Speaker 1: and then back to back days off And speaking of
- 1:39Speaker 1: the work event, we killed it, Like we killed that shit.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say, we really did. We really did.
- 1:43Speaker 1: We always do. But yeah, filming season two the Chronicles,
- 1:51Speaker 1: it has been it's been nothing short of amazing, amazing
- 1:56Speaker 1: and inspiring and like, wow, this is like really actually happening. Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I think we never really had a chance to like
- 2:05Speaker 1: sit down and just say, like look at each other
- 2:07Speaker 1: and be like, wow, this is happening, and we haven't
- 2:10Speaker 1: been It hasn't been a year. No, No, it hasn't
- 2:14Speaker 1: been a year. Wild. It's wild because it's like number one,
- 2:18Speaker 1: how fast time moves and how you know, we've been
- 2:22Speaker 1: just kind of running, running, running, and now we're looking
- 2:24Speaker 1: up and we are literally staring down the barrel of
- 2:28Speaker 1: another season and it's like, oh my gosh, we're doing
- 2:33Speaker 1: it and like in such short times and it's like
- 2:36Speaker 1: like we started filming a month ago and we've already
- 2:40Speaker 1: done almost fifteen episodes already, and the response has been incredible, inspiring,
- 2:49Speaker 1: their energy and just how much fun they've had, Like
- 2:53Speaker 1: we've been moved to tears a couple of times on
- 2:56Speaker 1: camera just by their words and their appreciation for what
- 3:02Speaker 1: we've been trying to do and our goal has always
- 3:04Speaker 1: been about safety and them telling us they've been feeling that. Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Just I mean, it's literally like a dream, like for
- 3:11Speaker 1: somebody to be like, oh my gosh, just sitting in
- 3:13Speaker 1: your presence helps me to open up about my life
- 3:15Speaker 1: and share, you know, to the world who I am
- 3:18Speaker 1: as a person and feel comfortable in that, like that
- 3:21Speaker 1: is it's golden. And just shout out to us and
- 3:25Speaker 1: shout out to the team for being just just amazing.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I love you guys so much. I mean, you have
- 3:33Speaker 1: to chitter chatters a right. We have an all guide team.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Everybody like it's a bunch of guys and us and
- 3:41Speaker 1: they've been helping us. But we're like show you're like,
- 3:46Speaker 1: it is my brass trap, show my glossy. The funniest
- 3:50Speaker 1: is when we asked when we're glossy and they're like,
- 3:52Speaker 1: they're like, what glossy. They've been so amazing. So shout
- 3:55Speaker 1: out to the Inflection and the Born to the Game
- 4:00Speaker 1: team Ye's a dynamic duo. It is. It is so
- 4:05Speaker 1: fun things ahead and I just can't wait to see
- 4:08Speaker 1: how this just unfold, this evolves, right, because I think
- 4:13Speaker 1: that's what when we started this. We had an idea,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and then we had the first four episodes kind of
- 4:19Speaker 1: like a pilot, and then it's it's evolved, right, So
- 4:22Speaker 1: I can't even imagine where a year from now, coming
- 4:25Speaker 1: back to this moment, I think back, like, oh my gosh,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know it, but you know that was one of
- 4:31Speaker 1: the underlying themes, having an idea and actually going for it,
- 4:35Speaker 1: which I think that some most people don't do. I
- 4:38Speaker 1: think I was reading something about dang Sarah what's her name,
- 4:42Speaker 1: the Spans founder Sarah Sarah Sarah Yes, Sarah Blake, Yes.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So she was saying and one of her interviews, like
- 4:49Speaker 1: from a long time ago about people have a million
- 4:53Speaker 1: dollar ideas but they never act on them, and how
- 4:57Speaker 1: a lot of our guests had ideas that they wanted
- 4:59Speaker 1: to do for businesses and things and they just started
- 5:02Speaker 1: them and now they have these businesses. So there is
- 5:06Speaker 1: something to just trusting yourself and if you have an
- 5:08Speaker 1: idea that drops in your spirit or in your mind,
- 5:11Speaker 1: that it's there for a reason. God has put it
- 5:13Speaker 1: there for a reason, and to act on it because
- 5:16Speaker 1: you don't know how it's going to bless people. And
- 5:18Speaker 1: that is such a testament of what we've done here.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You had an idea. Yeah, you had an idea that
- 5:24Speaker 1: happened at a place that you were. It was a
- 5:27Speaker 1: dark place for you and your family. You had an idea,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and you acted, and now here we are like that is.
- 5:33Speaker 1: If no one takes anything else from us, it is that.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It is that. Yeah, And to piggyback off of that,
- 5:39Speaker 1: it's okay to do it fearful, Yeah, do it a friend.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So I think a lot of the times people wait
- 5:45Speaker 1: for that right moment. And we had a similar conversation
- 5:48Speaker 1: with one of our guests about what does the right
- 5:51Speaker 1: moment look like? And it never really comes and so
- 5:55Speaker 1: sometimes you have to do things when you are terrified. Yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: And in those moments sometimes those produced the best, the
- 6:04Speaker 1: best results, and that inspire people the most, Like yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and I think that's such what we just have to do.
- 6:11Speaker 1: We have to do better at that. I mean, thank
- 6:13Speaker 1: God that you acted on this. I know that you
- 6:15Speaker 1: have other ideas that you thought of. I know I
- 6:18Speaker 1: have and I immediately feel like not guilty, but like, dang,
- 6:22Speaker 1: I really should have seen that idea through. But there,
- 6:25Speaker 1: like you said, there is no right time to, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 1: to start on an idea because we don't know, We
- 6:30Speaker 1: don't know, and the only way to know is just
- 6:32Speaker 1: to dive in head first and just make mistakes, fall down,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and get back up again. So that's something you and
- 6:38Speaker 1: I preach a lot when we just talk to anybody.
- 6:41Speaker 1: You know, you and I can talk to a wall
- 6:43Speaker 1: and we'll have the same yes, do it, just do it,
- 6:46Speaker 1: Just do it. Yeah, And the fact that you're doing
- 6:49Speaker 1: it means that you are ten steps ahead of the
- 6:52Speaker 1: person who's not just kind of like, you know, brushed
- 6:55Speaker 1: it off, just brushed it off. And if it fails,
- 6:58Speaker 1: oh well, oh well. And I think that's another things
- 7:00Speaker 1: so many people are afraid of and I had to
- 7:02Speaker 1: get over that. Yeah, I'm definitely was afraid of that. Yeah, definitely.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Who gives a shit? Everybody fails at something. The most
- 7:08Speaker 1: influential people of our time have failed at something. You
- 7:12Speaker 1: have to fail in order to become whoever it is
- 7:16Speaker 1: that you're meant to become. So don't be afraid so much.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Of embarrassing yourself or failing at it, because then that
- 7:23Speaker 1: means you're gonna be stuck in a box. And then
- 7:25Speaker 1: what's gonna happen is ten, fifteen, twenty years from now
- 7:29Speaker 1: you're gonna look back and be like, damn, I don't know.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I didn't try because I was so afraid of failing
- 7:34Speaker 1: that I got stuck. So it's okay laugh things off.
- 7:39Speaker 1: If it doesn't work out, who cares? And if someone
- 7:41Speaker 1: has the audacity to comment on your failure, that says
- 7:45Speaker 1: more about them than it ever does you. Because I'm
- 7:49Speaker 1: never gonna knock somebody who tries. I'm never gonna knock
- 7:52Speaker 1: somebody's idea. So you know, that's just a recurring thing
- 7:56Speaker 1: for just you and I, even in our personal lives,
- 7:59Speaker 1: to just go for it. Who gets a ship, who
- 8:01Speaker 1: gives a ship? Who gives a ship? Like that's the thing?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Who cares? So our I love that our guests like
- 8:07Speaker 1: these people were like philosoph what is the word philosophical? Philosophical? Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 1: like philosophers so much really so much dropped my god, wild,
- 8:17Speaker 1: oh my god, I was. I was just thinking about
- 8:20Speaker 1: one and one one guest said it, but then it
- 8:23Speaker 1: reminded me of what another guest said. They said one
- 8:30Speaker 1: piece of advice was it's better out than in. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: then it reminded me of that of another guest that
- 8:36Speaker 1: was saying about going to therapy and not holding in
- 8:41Speaker 1: emotions that you don't know what to do with. And
- 8:44Speaker 1: it was funny in the moments about better out than in,
- 8:46Speaker 1: because you know, it's like, what were they talking about,
- 8:48Speaker 1: because that could we all know what that means, and
- 8:52Speaker 1: we all know that it's better, it's better out and in.
- 8:56Speaker 1: But also like in life, like there's a lot of
- 8:58Speaker 1: stuff you just see to get it out. Yes, you
- 9:02Speaker 1: need to get it out, whether it's like emotions or
- 9:05Speaker 1: ideas or whatever, just get the thought out, get it out,
- 9:08Speaker 1: so it's out in the world and it can either
- 9:11Speaker 1: be released from you, from your conscious, from your pay
- 9:14Speaker 1: and your past, or it can help somebody else. So
- 9:17Speaker 1: that was a brilliant piece of advice. Oh God, And
- 9:19Speaker 1: I don't know if you peeped our guests from today.
- 9:23Speaker 1: While she was talking in the midst of it, and
- 9:26Speaker 1: she's telling us a story. I can't remember specifically what
- 9:29Speaker 1: the story was about, but she's in conversation and she
- 9:32Speaker 1: let it slip. She goes, Oh, I'm so happy I
- 9:34Speaker 1: get to talk about this. Yeah, I don't like, I
- 9:36Speaker 1: don't know if you if you like, and that stuck
- 9:39Speaker 1: with you. But in that moment, I'm like, that's what
- 9:41Speaker 1: it's about. She needed to release that, you know, it
- 9:45Speaker 1: was it was bobbed up, and I don't know if
- 9:48Speaker 1: she felt like she had the stings to do it. Yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 1: So that goes back to what you were saying, Like
- 9:52Speaker 1: in that moment, she was like, Oh, I'm so happy
- 9:54Speaker 1: I get to talk about this and let this out finally.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Because sometimes if you're never asked, no one ever asks you,
- 10:01Speaker 1: you won't talk about it because we have such issues
- 10:04Speaker 1: like talking about ourselves. And I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 10:07Speaker 1: this is the time for these people, to these wonderful,
- 10:10Speaker 1: brilliant people to talk about themselves because everyone's always talking
- 10:15Speaker 1: about the people around them, and so if nobody ever
- 10:18Speaker 1: asked you, you don't say so. I think probably in
- 10:21Speaker 1: that moment, she's like, no one has ever asked me
- 10:23Speaker 1: to say this or to talk about this, and now
- 10:24Speaker 1: I get a chance to do it in this amazing
- 10:27Speaker 1: way because you know, this podcast will be seen all
- 10:30Speaker 1: over anywhere that the outlets allow and so they're able
- 10:34Speaker 1: to share their narrative. And I think that's just there's
- 10:37Speaker 1: no more powerful thing you can do than tell your
- 10:39Speaker 1: own story instead of somebody telling it for you. Yes,
- 10:42Speaker 1: And I think what was incredible about our last two
- 10:47Speaker 1: days of filming was just really tackling this misconception that
- 10:51Speaker 1: these NEPO babies or babies who grow up with influential
- 10:56Speaker 1: fathers or you know, growing up with the silver platter.
- 11:01Speaker 1: These kids work hard. They work hard, and it will
- 11:06Speaker 1: the work ethic, the discipline, the mindset, the years, the intention.
- 11:13Speaker 1: These kids have it, they possess it, they utilize it,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and I think that is a misconception and it's something
- 11:19Speaker 1: that I'm happy viewers can see once the episodes air
- 11:24Speaker 1: that these kids are out here grinding, they're out here
- 11:28Speaker 1: really taking advantage of their opportunity and their opportunities. But
- 11:34Speaker 1: they're not sitting back waiting on things to just fall
- 11:37Speaker 1: in their lap. They're taking the bull by the horn
- 11:39Speaker 1: and they're going for it, and they're appreciative very much.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Every last guest we've had has a enormous amount of appreciation,
- 11:48Speaker 1: which also dispels the rumor that NEPO babies are ungrateful
- 11:53Speaker 1: and spoiled, and you know they don't they think that
- 11:56Speaker 1: everything is owed to them. Every last one of them
- 11:59Speaker 1: have been grateful and thank you and I appreciate what
- 12:03Speaker 1: you've done for me and I want to make you
- 12:05Speaker 1: proud and and you have supported me like every The
- 12:09Speaker 1: appreciation is inspiring, yes, and I think that people really
- 12:14Speaker 1: to take a note of that when you've been given something,
- 12:18Speaker 1: appreciation goes a long way because when you appreciate it,
- 12:20Speaker 1: that means that your cup can continue to fly, you
- 12:23Speaker 1: know what I mean. So I was that's what I'm
- 12:26Speaker 1: most impressed by, I think, But I mean by their
- 12:29Speaker 1: work of course, but their gratitude and appreciation and not
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know, not putting themselves. But it's it's been so refreshing,
- 12:37Speaker 1: it really really has. And that's a testament to just
- 12:40Speaker 1: how they were raised. So it shout out too. And
- 12:43Speaker 1: these parents haven't play they do not play around. Yes,
- 12:47Speaker 1: so it's a special shout out to these celebrity things,
- 12:51Speaker 1: people who on the outside you're looking in and you again,
- 12:55Speaker 1: you have this you know, preconceived notion of they throw
- 12:58Speaker 1: a nanny at their kids or when I these kids
- 13:01Speaker 1: are a reflection of parents, not just the father, their
- 13:06Speaker 1: mother as weather. So they get that grounding and that
- 13:09Speaker 1: sense of humbleness from their parent, and so shout out
- 13:13Speaker 1: to them for raising incredible kids. They walk in the
- 13:18Speaker 1: room and they're so joyous and they're so kind. They're
- 13:22Speaker 1: incredibly humble and like you said, thankful and very appreciative.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And that's something again I believe will be able to
- 13:29Speaker 1: resonate with viewers, right because it makes you feel like
- 13:34Speaker 1: you have something in common with these kids, with us,
- 13:38Speaker 1: because again, part of creating this platform was to humanize
- 13:42Speaker 1: the experience. I don't want people to view celebrity kids
- 13:48Speaker 1: and think, oh, we're so different, right, I want us
- 13:52Speaker 1: to find a way to all connect. And we can
- 13:55Speaker 1: all connect through kindness, appreciation, gratitude and great work and
- 14:00Speaker 1: just good, great, great products. Yeah. Yeah, discipline, that's how
- 14:04Speaker 1: we all stay connected. And they all possess that. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 1: that's why I'm so excited for people to see the
- 14:11Speaker 1: I think just going back to they are doing things
- 14:14Speaker 1: like they're business owners. They have all these endeavors. They
- 14:18Speaker 1: are parents, they are there's so many things. Some are
- 14:22Speaker 1: sending kids to college soon. Some are just had kids,
- 14:26Speaker 1: so they are parents. They are like all these these
- 14:29Speaker 1: things that every day people are they're doing them, and
- 14:33Speaker 1: they're they're doing them at a at a at a
- 14:35Speaker 1: level where you can get it like oh my gosh,
- 14:38Speaker 1: like like I can so see myself, you know, in
- 14:41Speaker 1: you in your struggle and things like that, and that's
- 14:43Speaker 1: I think that's cool. That's really cool able to see
- 14:46Speaker 1: themselves in these kids. And I say kids, you know,
- 14:50Speaker 1: these are women, kids. Everybody's grown. But yeah, you know,
- 14:54Speaker 1: and other people who you think you have that I
- 14:57Speaker 1: guess the connection is so far away, like there's I
- 15:01Speaker 1: don't know how to properly say it, but that's rights
- 15:06Speaker 1: as we really are, you know, Like I like you,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I'm an EmPATH and I love connecting with people. And
- 15:14Speaker 1: I think for me, I hate it that there are
- 15:16Speaker 1: some people who felt like, you know, I should have
- 15:19Speaker 1: been treated differently. No, we're all the same. We all
- 15:22Speaker 1: learned something from each other here. We all beleed the same.
- 15:25Speaker 1: You know, we all are going to have similar experiences
- 15:27Speaker 1: at some point in our lives. We have the same
- 15:29Speaker 1: twenty four hours and a day, the same twenty four hours.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Grief is going to hit all of us at something.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Sickness and so yeah, really just us being able to
- 15:39Speaker 1: highlight those moments I think will be so impactful for
- 15:43Speaker 1: our viewers and the games, like the games vibe like
- 15:48Speaker 1: that's our time to really just like let lose fun
- 15:51Speaker 1: and talk about the games because like also like it
- 15:55Speaker 1: also helps you to learn something about yourself. Like when
- 15:57Speaker 1: somebody asked you, like is this do you like things
- 15:59Speaker 1: like this that it's just like dang Like for instance,
- 16:02Speaker 1: like the planning versus being spontaneous, like I'm spontaneous with
- 16:06Speaker 1: it is I think about it? I think I probably
- 16:08Speaker 1: should change my answer because I feel like I should
- 16:10Speaker 1: change my ani just because like, okay, so I am
- 16:13Speaker 1: like like I am not going to diagnose myself with something,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but like I do know that I have Like I'm
- 16:19Speaker 1: a creative person, so like my thought processes are like
- 16:21Speaker 1: all over the place, so sometimes sitting down and planning
- 16:24Speaker 1: stuff is hard for me. But like I'm spontaneous, but
- 16:28Speaker 1: I do like to like, you know, I like to
- 16:30Speaker 1: have a routine. But I don't know if that's planning,
- 16:33Speaker 1: but like I want to be a planner, Like I
- 16:35Speaker 1: want to start planning things. So I wish that that
- 16:38Speaker 1: was me. But like I'm not spontaneous in a sense
- 16:40Speaker 1: where I'm like, hey, let's go like go skydiving. I
- 16:43Speaker 1: don't want to do that, but like now I have
- 16:46Speaker 1: to like think about it, like I'm like, who am I? Like?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Am I a planner? Am I spontaneous? Like? What what
- 16:52Speaker 1: am I? Well, I'll say this. We took a shift Rome.
- 16:54Speaker 1: We did that was very spontaneous. I would say, so.
- 16:58Speaker 1: So I think I hit you up on a Monday
- 17:01Speaker 1: and we were in Rome on Thursday. True, that is wantaneous.
- 17:04Speaker 1: It was you know, we did plan out our itinerary
- 17:07Speaker 1: before we got to Rome. But to me, like you
- 17:10Speaker 1: did call me and I said, okay, when should I
- 17:13Speaker 1: be at the airport? And I was like, oh, can
- 17:14Speaker 1: you get your bags packed in forty eight hours? I did?
- 17:17Speaker 1: I literally turn in my vacation time. Yeah, And I
- 17:20Speaker 1: was like, I don't care. What is it I did? Okay,
- 17:22Speaker 1: that's spontaneous. But but we did dabble and planning the itinerary.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So you did plan it. It was it was a
- 17:31Speaker 1: plan that was Oh that's right, Yeah, you planned it.
- 17:36Speaker 1: She didn't do I didn't. Yeah, so you didn't show up.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I did show up, but I'm gonna I'm gonna plan
- 17:42Speaker 1: more and even like in my relationship, I'm like, do
- 17:44Speaker 1: I plan enough in my relationship? Are you the planner
- 17:47Speaker 1: in your relationship? I am? I am? See I am?
- 17:51Speaker 1: And then those days where I'm like I don't feel
- 17:53Speaker 1: like planning. Oh gosh, and he's my my beautiful fiance,
- 17:58Speaker 1: he's so amazing. He is so such a good planner,
- 18:01Speaker 1: Like he's so good, he's so detailed. But now that
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'm thinking about it, I'm like, oh my gosh, I
- 18:07Speaker 1: need to plan more for us. Like but I think
- 18:11Speaker 1: let me, let me shut up on that part. I'm
- 18:12Speaker 1: about to say, look, somebody's going to give you the
- 18:15Speaker 1: planning cap and then you go take it off. But
- 18:19Speaker 1: it made me think, like I do need to plan
- 18:21Speaker 1: more like it just in life instead of just kind
- 18:23Speaker 1: of like flying by the seat of my pants. I
- 18:26Speaker 1: want to become a planner. Teach me thy ways. Like
- 18:29Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, like how we can like break
- 18:32Speaker 1: you into the world of planning. Yeah, but I'm like,
- 18:36Speaker 1: my mom is what you do is okay, So you
- 18:39Speaker 1: have your job right, which you do at home, right,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and then you work out and then you eat, yes,
- 18:46Speaker 1: so you plan your itinerary around that, like okay, on
- 18:50Speaker 1: this day. So Monday, you have work from let's say
- 18:53Speaker 1: nine to five, you block that out on your calendar.
- 18:57Speaker 1: And then let's say you want to go home and
- 18:59Speaker 1: eat a little bit. So you come home and you're like, okay,
- 19:01Speaker 1: from six to seven, those are my that's my time
- 19:04Speaker 1: to unwind and eat and then just get myself together
- 19:10Speaker 1: for working out, right, and then after that you So
- 19:13Speaker 1: it's just like a it's just consistency. Yeah, I think
- 19:16Speaker 1: is what you're looking for, you know what I think
- 19:18Speaker 1: it is. I need that because I think I'm getting bored.
- 19:24Speaker 1: But yeah, but then also like sometimes I get bored
- 19:26Speaker 1: with routines. I think maybe that's why I don't do it,
- 19:28Speaker 1: because it's the creative venue, I think. And you have
- 19:31Speaker 1: too many tabs open. Yes, that's exactly what it is.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So are you a like do you put stuff on
- 19:37Speaker 1: your phone? Are you like a like a paper player
- 19:39Speaker 1: like with the book? No, Like I now I take
- 19:42Speaker 1: advantage of my calendar app because if not, I'll forget
- 19:46Speaker 1: because I also have a lot of tabs open. Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So if I don't have something in in a calendar,
- 19:51Speaker 1: I will not I won't remember. So I need to
- 19:53Speaker 1: have something like scheduled okay. Well, I'm gonna split the difference.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna start small small. I'm gonna like least like
- 20:00Speaker 1: I'm going to plan something for myself, and then I'm
- 20:02Speaker 1: going to plan something for my household, my family. Yes,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm going to try that. Maybe I'm going to try there.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Maybe start with your fiance. I can do plan a dinner.
- 20:15Speaker 1: It could be at home, or it can be outside. Yes,
- 20:18Speaker 1: in these streets. Yes, plan something. I'm gonna plan at
- 20:23Speaker 1: this time tomorrow night. I need you to be ready
- 20:26Speaker 1: by six o'clock. Oh my gosh. And it's so it's easy. Yes,
- 20:32Speaker 1: and you have control over it. Yes. Yeah, I'm a
- 20:35Speaker 1: control freak too. You may not be as much of
- 20:37Speaker 1: a control freaking. Maybe that's what it is too, But
- 20:41Speaker 1: that's okay, But you know it's controls freak is kind
- 20:46Speaker 1: of strong. But but it's the truth I have. I
- 20:50Speaker 1: really like being in control, okay, which is why I
- 20:53Speaker 1: like to drive and not fly, and like I don't
- 20:55Speaker 1: like to be in certain environments. I don't like to
- 20:57Speaker 1: drink because I don't now that's true for me to
- 21:00Speaker 1: I don't like being out of control. I don't like
- 21:02Speaker 1: being out of control. Your girl, likes the train. I
- 21:05Speaker 1: love that she will do a twenty one hour trip.
- 21:09Speaker 1: A twenty one hour trip on the train, I love it.
- 21:12Speaker 1: What's the furthest You've gone New Orleans to LA? How
- 21:17Speaker 1: long was that? Right? I don't like it was so therapeutic.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I was with I was with my at the time.
- 21:24Speaker 1: He was a little so Nazir my baby baby boy.
- 21:29Speaker 1: He loves teaching. He like, I really loves you. So
- 21:32Speaker 1: before we get into the train thing, my son thinks
- 21:35Speaker 1: my son confuses us. So this morning we had a
- 21:38Speaker 1: little like he had a meltdown. He hurt his early
- 21:42Speaker 1: and I was in the shower, and so I couldn't
- 21:46Speaker 1: like pick him up immediately. So Tamara did, and he's like,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you know, you know, soaking it in, like taking advantage
- 21:53Speaker 1: of all the attention, like letting Teachi just like consult
- 21:57Speaker 1: and sow him because he was hurt. He was really
- 21:58Speaker 1: hurt and now he really he really didn't Yeah, And
- 22:01Speaker 1: so he then like proceeds to look up at her
- 22:03Speaker 1: and was just like, wait a minute, he touched my face.
- 22:05Speaker 1: He's like, hold on now, and then he knows yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And then when where I got off the shower, at
- 22:10Speaker 1: the shower, and I'm like, you know, wrapped up, and
- 22:13Speaker 1: I'm like, are you okay? He looks and he's like
- 22:16Speaker 1: he was like, it's like wait a minute. He was
- 22:18Speaker 1: looking like yeah, like you're not my mother. He was
- 22:24Speaker 1: and he like reaches for me and looks like who
- 22:28Speaker 1: is this impost? He was looking like, but while you
- 22:32Speaker 1: were in the shower though, when I was holding him,
- 22:34Speaker 1: usually sometimes he doesn't let me hold him like that,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and so he's he was like getting comfortable, like and
- 22:38Speaker 1: then he started I'm thinking, oh my gosh, I think
- 22:41Speaker 1: he thinks I'm Mariah because he just got really comfortable
- 22:44Speaker 1: all of a sudden. And then when you came out,
- 22:46Speaker 1: he was looking like like unhanded me. He looked and
- 22:49Speaker 1: then he looked again, and so he was like, look
- 22:52Speaker 1: he looked at my chest. He was like, he looked
- 22:54Speaker 1: at the shot. Think so this ain't right. But that's
- 23:00Speaker 1: been our thing. Like Tamara, she doesn't look older than me,
- 23:03Speaker 1: but she is older than ten years to be exact, yes,
- 23:07Speaker 1: which again it's insane that she looks the way that
- 23:09Speaker 1: she does. But that's when the thing just even with
- 23:12Speaker 1: me growing up, family would always say like, oh, you
- 23:15Speaker 1: look just like your older cousin Tamara. And so now
- 23:18Speaker 1: that we're obviously like older and we see each other
- 23:21Speaker 1: all the time, cousin our grandma gets us confused all
- 23:24Speaker 1: the time, even though there is a clear height difference.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Mariah's literally six times five seven. Yeah, and no, remember
- 23:31Speaker 1: when we were at gosh, what's the civil rights guy?
- 23:34Speaker 1: Andrew Young? Oh? Yes, and he thought, he kept saying,
- 23:38Speaker 1: So we were at a party. I was with the
- 23:39Speaker 1: party with your mom and so it was like this
- 23:42Speaker 1: like fundraiser party in Atlanta's huge house. And so he
- 23:45Speaker 1: was just like, hey, how And I was like, I'm
- 23:48Speaker 1: not Mariah. I get to see you. This is my cousin.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I was like, how do you get me confused? Ria
- 23:57Speaker 1: is literally six one now I know not the skin
- 24:01Speaker 1: tone is the features, Like, yeah, and that's our signature. Look,
- 24:07Speaker 1: we have to do that. I don't think we've done
- 24:08Speaker 1: it on an episode. We have to do a bun look,
- 24:10Speaker 1: So we have to do a look, we have to
- 24:12Speaker 1: do a butt look. I think one of my other
- 24:16Speaker 1: favorite like this or that questions that we did you
- 24:19Speaker 1: know me because I'm a little petty when they go
- 24:22Speaker 1: low are we going lower? Or like are going high?
- 24:25Speaker 1: Are we taking it to hell. And I love that
- 24:28Speaker 1: all of our guests are so just kind and humble,
- 24:32Speaker 1: and I believe everybody said Mariah, when they take it low,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm just I'm going to go high. And I really
- 24:40Speaker 1: had to sit and be like, I'm an awful human
- 24:43Speaker 1: being because if you go low, y'all already know me.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I want to take it, take it, take it all.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But you are getting better. I have You're getting so
- 24:54Speaker 1: much better even in this process. Like you haven't you
- 24:57Speaker 1: haven't had twitter? What is it called twitter? I haven't.
- 25:01Speaker 1: You haven't done that at all. You haven't gone off online.
- 25:05Speaker 1: But don't get it twisted. If we have time, we
- 25:07Speaker 1: will have time because we have gotten crazy comments on
- 25:10Speaker 1: our Instagram page. But just know that we don't have
- 25:13Speaker 1: time all the time. But when we do, I just
- 25:17Speaker 1: I think of their responses and I'm like, wow, you
- 25:19Speaker 1: would never say it to my face, No, you wouldn't.
- 25:23Speaker 1: But I'm like, they're so inspirational to be like even
- 25:28Speaker 1: our last guest, no, you know, no, you gotta knock
- 25:32Speaker 1: on burn down. He said something about karma. Yeah yeah,
- 25:36Speaker 1: And I'm like, wow, just so wise, and I'm like,
- 25:42Speaker 1: what's wrong with me? Because I'm like did you better
- 25:44Speaker 1: talk about my dad? Oh, I'm coming for your whole family,
- 25:48Speaker 1: Like you know me that there was a time and
- 25:50Speaker 1: you I called out people's like why, Like there was
- 25:53Speaker 1: one time someone came at me and I like, I
- 25:56Speaker 1: got his wife involved and I and I look back
- 25:58Speaker 1: and I'm like, probably shouldn't have done. And then that
- 26:00Speaker 1: wasn't my best moment. I was pissed, but I'm like,
- 26:05Speaker 1: you came. I did because I'm like, I tagged her
- 26:10Speaker 1: and again I really do And if you are watching this,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I sincerely apologize for that because I'm pretty sure you
- 26:15Speaker 1: know who you are. It wasn't my proudest moment, but
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm like, I was so angry and so just you know,
- 26:21Speaker 1: when it comes to people attacking your family and people
- 26:25Speaker 1: that you love, you, you just have this out of
- 26:28Speaker 1: body experience and now you go into attack mode. And
- 26:31Speaker 1: I just felt like I needed to attack him and
- 26:33Speaker 1: I brought his wife into it, and at that moment,
- 26:35Speaker 1: I didn't go high. So miss you know, first Lady
- 26:39Speaker 1: Obama Michelle Obama would not be pleased, but I have
- 26:42Speaker 1: learned from it, and I obviously would never do that again.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Maybe we should watch Becoming tonight. Maybe that we should
- 26:47Speaker 1: need to do. We need to we need to rise higher.
- 26:50Speaker 1: So we'll watch Becoming tonight for inspirament. Do we always
- 26:52Speaker 1: have to rise? Rise higher? We're gonna watch the show
- 26:56Speaker 1: tonight to want to just really learn. I always say
- 27:01Speaker 1: God is always working working. I am a work in progress, y'all,
- 27:05Speaker 1: and I've gone better. I'm not gonna look you've gotten
- 27:09Speaker 1: a lot. I've gotten a lot better. I agree with you.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I really have give yourself some credit. Now come on now,
- 27:15Speaker 1: now to some of y'all, grace Now, I will say this.
- 27:18Speaker 1: To some of y'all, I said what I said. Oh,
- 27:21Speaker 1: but to me tagging the wife, I'll apologize for that.
- 27:25Speaker 1: But speaking of shows, yeah, what are you into now?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Because that's what I want to do. Like we've had
- 27:31Speaker 1: these last two days, I haven't been able to like
- 27:33Speaker 1: sit and like watch anything, and I'm really excited to
- 27:36Speaker 1: do that tonight because we don't have to film. But
- 27:39Speaker 1: like I'm watching Love Is Blind. No, we all know
- 27:42Speaker 1: you're going to be watching Love What about you? I
- 27:46Speaker 1: just finished Link and Lawyer. You love Lincoln Lawyer, huge fan?
- 27:50Speaker 1: Like that is like a show that like is on
- 27:52Speaker 1: my bucket list before I hope they have many more seasons.
- 27:55Speaker 1: There is a new season, so I'm excited. But like
- 27:57Speaker 1: Lincoln Lawyer is one of those shows where I'm like, yeah,
- 28:00Speaker 1: I get an audition for this one. See that's what
- 28:02Speaker 1: we need to do more speak that into a yes
- 28:04Speaker 1: on this, like projects that you want to get, you know,
- 28:09Speaker 1: if there's any casting openings, like people want to be watching.
- 28:14Speaker 1: So it's like, this is some time to just picture. Okay,
- 28:17Speaker 1: so go ahead and pitch yourself. Care I love Lincoln
- 28:19Speaker 1: Lawyer like that is like what I do. I love
- 28:22Speaker 1: law shows, medical shows like now the Grays Anatomy, like
- 28:26Speaker 1: I was a whole grades anatomy person, but like law
- 28:28Speaker 1: shows like that is like my jam like that girl,
- 28:34Speaker 1: if you ever got online, probably my ever last you
- 28:37Speaker 1: will lose your mind. My wig will be on. I
- 28:40Speaker 1: love LA shows though, yeah I love that. But what else,
- 28:44Speaker 1: like love is blind, I'm Lincoln Lincoln Lawyer is over,
- 28:49Speaker 1: but I'm trying to so love it. Anything else to watch?
- 28:52Speaker 1: What we need to start watching. Paradise is Paradise. We
- 28:56Speaker 1: gotta wait, though, we gotta wait for our significant others
- 28:59Speaker 1: because we you know what I better. I need to
- 29:02Speaker 1: ask him if he started watching it. Because he better
- 29:04Speaker 1: not watch it without me. You better text him. I
- 29:07Speaker 1: am going to text because you told me that you
- 29:09Speaker 1: had to wait for your money. I waited, and I
- 29:11Speaker 1: hope he wait. I hope he didn't started. Oh my god,
- 29:15Speaker 1: I tell you if once we wrap here and if
- 29:17Speaker 1: I find out that he has, because Lea will do
- 29:21Speaker 1: it in a minute, he will, he will continue. Because
- 29:24Speaker 1: I think that's the problem. I fall asleep, and so
- 29:27Speaker 1: he's like, why should I have to suffer? Well, because
- 29:29Speaker 1: you can't. We're one. We are one. So when I
- 29:32Speaker 1: fall asleep, you fall asleep. And when I'm not watching
- 29:35Speaker 1: the show, you don't watch this. Oh my gosh, that's
- 29:37Speaker 1: what it is. You're right. We we we finished Abbott,
- 29:40Speaker 1: we're in Uh, I have to finish. I love were
- 29:44Speaker 1: I love you do watch that together? What else? So
- 29:48Speaker 1: we have to watch Paradise Love is Blind? I am
- 29:53Speaker 1: he Love Island. It's not on, but like, that's one
- 29:57Speaker 1: of my favorite I have to I haven't started that.
- 29:59Speaker 1: When I haven't, I haven't watched it. Love Island. I
- 30:02Speaker 1: think it's it's either for you or it's not. Okay,
- 30:06Speaker 1: you have to really be into drama to love Love Island,
- 30:10Speaker 1: because you have. There's so many. It's like it's this
- 30:12Speaker 1: revolving door of drama and you have to just keep
- 30:15Speaker 1: up because it's so fast and if you're someone who's like,
- 30:18Speaker 1: this is too much. I convinced Garius to watch it
- 30:21Speaker 1: when I was pregnant, and I know he's struggling and
- 30:24Speaker 1: he's just sitting there like he's like, oh my god, God.
- 30:27Speaker 1: But I love it. I love I love I can't.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I love a good show. I love a good new show.
- 30:32Speaker 1: His in Hers. Wait, it's on Netflix. Watch did I
- 30:37Speaker 1: watch it? Wait? I think I watched His Nurse. You
- 30:40Speaker 1: already did? Okay, I think so it's a good one.
- 30:41Speaker 1: If you haven't. Wait, who's in it? I'm not really
- 30:44Speaker 1: good I know names. I'm not really good. Spot it
- 30:47Speaker 1: is really hard. I want to say that I've seen
- 30:50Speaker 1: His in Hers. Okay, what was the one? Dang oh
- 30:55Speaker 1: Bridgerton Bridgeston started again? Are you a Bridgeston person? I am?
- 30:58Speaker 1: The problem is is that I loved Season with one crazy.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I love season one so much that it's hard. It's
- 31:08Speaker 1: so hard, but the season so I need to finish
- 31:11Speaker 1: season three before I start season four. Yeah. Season one
- 31:14Speaker 1: and season two were incredible and I just started season three,
- 31:17Speaker 1: which is so far, really good. It's just like season
- 31:20Speaker 1: one was so amazing. Everybody was talking about season one.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Do you remember earlier on the phone, like, oh my gosh,
- 31:28Speaker 1: my mom was calling me. I'm like, oh my gosh, yes,
- 31:31Speaker 1: like I don't. I didn't want to watch it with
- 31:32Speaker 1: my mom because it's like a couple of you know,
- 31:35Speaker 1: oh my gosh, like I don't want to do that.
- 31:36Speaker 1: But my mom was just like, oh girl. I'm like,
- 31:38Speaker 1: oh my god, I know, like our moms were talking about.
- 31:41Speaker 1: They were calling each other so good. So I haven't. Yeah,
- 31:45Speaker 1: that's that's a show that I plan on watching at
- 31:48Speaker 1: some point. Again, verger Ten, I'm just trying to think
- 31:51Speaker 1: of I love thrillers. I love shows that have a twist.
- 31:55Speaker 1: So if there's any I mean, once this airs, if
- 31:59Speaker 1: anyone has an and that they can leave us in
- 32:01Speaker 1: the comments, well, take a look at Dancing with the
- 32:03Speaker 1: Murderer on Lifetime. You might see somebody you know, oh yes, yes,
- 32:08Speaker 1: oh my god, yes, I'm giving a shameless play. You
- 32:11Speaker 1: should know. I mean, this is you do it shameless.
- 32:14Speaker 1: That's so far. Yeah that came out in October, but yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 1: I mean it's out there like a thriller on a
- 32:21Speaker 1: lifetime thriller. Let's just say that already saw that because
- 32:24Speaker 1: you know, I was like I was literally watching the TV,
- 32:26Speaker 1: like recording with my phone just like that pop on
- 32:31Speaker 1: the screen so I can like hit play. But but
- 32:33Speaker 1: you know what's funny, Like I'm scared of thrillers, Like
- 32:36Speaker 1: I don't like like thrillers scare me, like I'll be
- 32:38Speaker 1: like sleep with the light on. Remember we had one
- 32:41Speaker 1: guest who says that she loves she doesn't like she
- 32:47Speaker 1: doesn't like the gory stuff. Oh but she loves like
- 32:50Speaker 1: dateline type of thrillers because that's part of how she
- 32:53Speaker 1: studied for her work. Remember, Oh yeah, But like that
- 32:56Speaker 1: kind of stuff, it scares me, like I feel like
- 32:59Speaker 1: it could happen to me, you know what I mean.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Like it's like, oh my gosh, that's crazy that like
- 33:05Speaker 1: how can you be in a thriller but you don't
- 33:07Speaker 1: watch them? Like mm hmmm. I just I'm too scary,
- 33:11Speaker 1: Like I am, I'm scary when it comes to that.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I've always been like that too, Like horror movies and stuff.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I could never do it. Horror movie, I can't do it.
- 33:18Speaker 1: But I don't know if horror, horror and thriller are
- 33:20Speaker 1: the same. So thriller no, So horror is like you know,
- 33:23Speaker 1: like Thrasher like and that's like Jason and stuff like that.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I don't I don't like that that kind of I
- 33:29Speaker 1: don't have to do because sometimes my spirits just don't it.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Don't like it. Yeah, but a thriller is like twists
- 33:34Speaker 1: and turn. There can be violence, but there's just a
- 33:38Speaker 1: lot of like you know, different those big things like
- 33:41Speaker 1: sex and revenge. You watch The Handmaids, No, it's good.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So I read the books, Okay, go watch the movie.
- 33:48Speaker 1: But which one is the better? You like to the books?
- 33:50Speaker 1: Books are always better, absolutely, but the movie is still fantastic.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I haven't seen that. You don't need to read the
- 33:57Speaker 1: books to watch it. Okay, so it has a really
- 34:00Speaker 1: good to us. Okay, cool, Like I I remember reading
- 34:04Speaker 1: and I'm like, I remember my mouth dropping while I
- 34:08Speaker 1: was reading it. And so I went with the I
- 34:11Speaker 1: went with the girlfriend, and I already knew what was going
- 34:13Speaker 1: to happen. So I'm just like waiting, like I'm like
- 34:16Speaker 1: so proud that I knew was going to happen. So like,
- 34:19Speaker 1: as we're like watching I'm like watching her just to
- 34:21Speaker 1: see like what her reaction was, and she was like,
- 34:24Speaker 1: so go watch it. I think that'd be cute for
- 34:26Speaker 1: you and your fiance. Okay, cool, So we have to
- 34:28Speaker 1: just we'll get some We'll get some vegan kale and
- 34:32Speaker 1: grass for you and outsider vinegar. You do not lie
- 34:36Speaker 1: to these people and make it seem like my vegan
- 34:38Speaker 1: snacks are horrible. Let you taste the chick pea. Yes,
- 34:42Speaker 1: the chickpeas were really good, and they were flavored ranch,
- 34:46Speaker 1: they were so and everything were good and they were fired.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So I can't hang with Mariah because Mariah her like
- 34:53Speaker 1: she she's very very much of a stickler on her diet. This,
- 34:57Speaker 1: I mean, this girl, she is a stickler and so
- 34:59Speaker 1: shout out to you on that. But I I can't
- 35:01Speaker 1: hang with you. And that's fine. I can't hang I
- 35:03Speaker 1: can't hang the apple side of vinegar water, which I
- 35:06Speaker 1: know that is. I know it's good for you drink,
- 35:08Speaker 1: I know it, I know it, But I mean, we
- 35:10Speaker 1: have someone in this room who drinks chickens. It's it's
- 35:17Speaker 1: the most bizarre thing I think I have heard all
- 35:20Speaker 1: day today. And we've had a lot of conversation that
- 35:23Speaker 1: is surrounding the chicken shakes. The most bizarre thing I've
- 35:25Speaker 1: ever heard in the comments. If you guys eat or drink,
- 35:30Speaker 1: it's not even eat protein. You're sipping chicken chicken shake.
- 35:34Speaker 1: That isn't if you have done that, Please weigh in,
- 35:38Speaker 1: Please let us know. Please just someone urify weird. That's
- 35:41Speaker 1: what I practices. There's nothing, there's nothing he could say,
- 35:46Speaker 1: we wify that. I feel like because I know, and
- 35:51Speaker 1: I know once we wrap because he's watching us right now.
- 35:53Speaker 1: He's like giving us the stink guy, and I know
- 35:56Speaker 1: he's gonna he's gonna justify it once we once we
- 35:59Speaker 1: wrap up, and once these cameras cut. There's no justifying
- 36:03Speaker 1: you putting chicken in a blender and then riding down
- 36:07Speaker 1: the highway went sipping it. When you have teeth and
- 36:11Speaker 1: you have a functioning jaw, there is no excuse for that.
- 36:16Speaker 1: So yes, like Tamara said, when weigh in, please weigh
- 36:19Speaker 1: in and in the comments and let us know and
- 36:22Speaker 1: let us know if it makes sense. But you do
- 36:24Speaker 1: as well, h yeah, if that's what you do. And
- 36:27Speaker 1: this is a judgment. We did talk about safety and
- 36:31Speaker 1: we're not judging. We're just trying to understand environment. So
- 36:35Speaker 1: we're not judging, but I do want to understand you,
- 36:37Speaker 1: want to understand why you just wouldn't eat the chicken
- 36:40Speaker 1: and drink some water when there's nothing wrong with your
- 36:45Speaker 1: jaw and your teeth and you know you eat everything else.
- 36:48Speaker 1: That's the only thing. No judgment, Just help us out
- 36:50Speaker 1: because you enlightening. Because I don't know everything. I will
- 36:53Speaker 1: say that anytime, so but you know, okay, but I'm hungry,
- 36:57Speaker 1: so let's go. Let's go eat. Ye. Thank you guys
- 36:59Speaker 1: for tuning in to our kiki and I hope you
- 37:03Speaker 1: liked it because we're gonna be doing more. We're gonna
- 37:04Speaker 1: be doing all the time. So y'all, what do they say,
- 37:07Speaker 1: prepared to get sick and prepared to be getting but
