- 0:13Hello you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Hawkrol Energy Podcast.
- 0:17I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's a
- 0:20new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day for
- 0:23you to become the Hawkrol Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys.
- 0:27I am so late on posting episodes, and I am so sorry for that.
- 0:34As many of you know, I recently just got back from a trip.
- 0:38I was in LA and I also was at Coachella and I could not
- 0:44pack my MIC. I wanted to pack my MIC so I could record an
- 0:48episode while I was in LA, and I unfortunately forgot it. So that
- 0:53is my apologies. I'm so sorry there was no episode last week. I
- 0:56was unsure if I was even going to have the time to record because it
- 0:59was such a crazy week of just running around heading to events and all that.
- 1:04So I was also unsure if I was going to even have the time
- 1:07to record an episode. So I do apologize for that, but I am
- 1:11back. I am ready to get into another episode. I was really trying
- 1:17to think hard on what I wanted to make this episode about. But you
- 1:19guys know that I always like to make episodes about what is happening currently for
- 1:23me, and I'm going to make this episode a bit of a way to
- 1:26lift your mood up. I feel like every time I do travel. Obviously
- 1:30I always have the best time when I go on my trips, but I
- 1:34do always feel a little disappointed when I get home, and my mood just
- 1:38kind of lowers a bit because I'm in such a fun social setting and then
- 1:42coming home it's almost a disappointment because you are back home in a gloomy state.
- 1:49Because I live in a gloomy city and our weather right now isn't the
- 1:53greatest. And I also work from home, so I don't really have a
- 1:56lot of social interaction with people work for myself, so I'm at home a
- 2:00lot, so I get a bit of a downside to me when I get
- 2:05home from travels. So I'm going to give you guys some tips on what
- 2:07works for me and how I uplift my mood when I'm in this type of
- 2:12state. So if you're that kind of person like me, where when you're
- 2:14traveling, you come home, you feel a little sad and you just don't
- 2:17know how to get your mood back up into a good state. This episode
- 2:21is for you before we get into this episode, I really wanted to give
- 2:23you guys a La and Coachella recap because I feel like Coachella is obviously such
- 2:29a huge thing through social media. I feel like a lot of influencers,
- 2:32a lot of celebrities are all there, so I kind of wanted to give
- 2:35you guys a bit of the tea on what happened last week. So,
- 2:38as you guys know, I first started off in La. I flew out
- 2:40to Vancouver to meet up with Trinity, which is the host of the Wellness
- 2:45Cafe. I know a lot of you guys know that, but her and
- 2:47Elena Bloomberg are two of my really good friends that I met through social media
- 2:51who are also podcast hosts, So we consider ourselves a little trio and we
- 2:54always love to do influencer events together and all that, and it's fun to
- 3:00do it with two people that I'm generally so close with now and consider my
- 3:04best friends. So it's always such a great time to travel with them.
- 3:07And I only see them usually five to six times a year, but it's
- 3:10enough and I feel so so good when I'm with them. The energy is
- 3:14always so great with them, so I flow out to Trent. I stayed
- 3:17with her to fly out to la with her on Monday, so we flowt
- 3:21on Monday. We got to this hotel. We stayed at the Mandarin Hotel,
- 3:24which is right in West Hollywood, which is perfect. I love West
- 3:29Hollywood so much. If you guys ever are looking to stay in Los Angeles,
- 3:31I highly recommend that area. It's such a nice development, such a
- 3:37great area for great food, great workouts. There's a lot of like health
- 3:39and wellness sectors for like just good food and yeah, I don't know.
- 3:45It's just a great area to stand. So highly recommend checking out that hotel.
- 3:49It was phenomenal, It was beautiful, it was close to everything.
- 3:52It did not disappoint. One of the reasons why I just love to travel
- 3:54out to La is because they have the best coffee shops, they have the
- 3:58best food, and they also of the best workouts. And you guys know,
- 4:01I always love trying new workout classes, and one new one that we
- 4:05tried was a similar to a hot pilates class. It was a bit different.
- 4:10It was called Heated Room. We did that with the skincare brand Tacha.
- 4:14They invited us to go to a wellness day with them. They gave
- 4:16us a bit of Tatcha skincare goodies, We did a workout class together,
- 4:20we did some brunch at this place called Bluestone, So all in all,
- 4:24it was just such a fun little morning. And then you guys know that
- 4:27I've been in my spinning era. So I was determined to get Trin and
- 4:30Land to a spin class. And Trin was like, Kaylee, I do
- 4:34not like spin classes. I am not going. And I'm like, Trinity
- 4:39ton Delier, you need to come to a spin class with me. I'm
- 4:42so obsessed. You are totally gonna love it, Like, just trust me
- 4:45on this. So we look at Soule Cycle, which was super close to
- 4:48our hotel, and they actually had a Coachella themed ride. So I'm like
- 4:53Trin, like, we have to go, Like we're going to Coachella.
- 4:56It's going to be the perfect like prep to listen to all the Coachella music
- 5:00at the Soule Cycle class. So I finally convinced her and we went to
- 5:02a class. Guys, let me tell you, this was probably five times
- 5:08harder than my typical class here. It was insane. I could not believe
- 5:13how hard a soul cycle class is if you guys go to soul Cycle all
- 5:16the time, good on you. That is amazing. I was seriously dying.
- 5:21I think my Autawa classes they it's very similar style, it's just not
- 5:27as intense, if that makes sense. This class was like, no hands
- 5:30on the handlebar, We're using a towel to hold you up. So many
- 5:33interesting movements that I've never done before in my entire life. And if you've
- 5:38ever tried spinning, usually the first time it's really hard to get your legs
- 5:42and hand movements going at the same time. You really just kind of got
- 5:44to figure it out. So I feel super comfortable in my Autowa classes,
- 5:46but at this Soul Cycle class, I felt like I was a brand new
- 5:51beginner spinner that just had no idea what they were doing. But other than
- 5:55that, it was such a great ride and it was so fun to listen
- 5:58to some of the Coache artists at the sole Cycle class, and Trend still
- 6:01loved it. She still had a great sweat and she said she's going to
- 6:03try to get into spinning when she gets home from the trip. So anyways,
- 6:09all in all, that was a really good workout. But for the
- 6:11rest of the week we were pretty low key in La. We knew that
- 6:14Coachella was going to drain our souls. It's such a crazy and busy weekend
- 6:18that we were like, let's keep it low key because we know we're about
- 6:21to head into some craziness. So from LA, we decided to rent a
- 6:26car to get to Palm Springs. We didn't see the need of paying for
- 6:29flights or anything like that. We just thought it's an hour and a half
- 6:30drive, it's not that far. So we ended up renting a car drove
- 6:33down to Palm Springs. The weather in Palm Springs is insane, like being
- 6:39in the desert. The heat is like unmatched, like it's just so stunning.
- 6:44In La, it was kind of gloomy. It wasn't the greatest weather.
- 6:46I didn't really pack very good for that trip, but I definitely packed
- 6:50well for Palm Springs. We rented a cute little airbnb and we just stayed
- 6:54all three of us together, and we also had Fernanda, some pep you
- 6:59may know Fernanda. She is a huge YouTuber, so she stayed with us
- 7:03as well, which was super fun. And yeah, we just got this
- 7:05cute little airbnb in Palm Springs and made our way to the first night.
- 7:12The first night was so amazing. We saw Metro perform. When I saw
- 7:16the lineup before even going to Coachella, the only names that I personally recognized
- 7:20was Frank Ocean and Labyrinth. Those were the only two. So I knew
- 7:26going into that that I was going to know a few songs, but Metro,
- 7:29I didn't realize how many songs it actually knew by this artist. He
- 7:32also brought out so many surprise guests, including the Weekend twenty one Savage Don
- 7:36Tolliver, which just made the performance ten times better and all in all was
- 7:41just such a great first night. And then the following day we were getting
- 7:44ready for Revolve Festival. If you guys don't know what that is, the
- 7:46brand Revolve, which is obviously very well known in the fashion industry. They
- 7:49do a festival every year during the same weekend as Coachella, and they have
- 7:55artists that perform there. They have celebrities walking around like every time I to
- 8:00that event. I went there last year and then this was my second time
- 8:01going this year. Every time I go to an event with Revolve, I
- 8:05always feel like it's such a pinch me moment and it doesn't feel real.
- 8:09I always feel so beyond grateful for trips like that, and it's all thanks
- 8:13to you guys for supporting me and using my links and all that. So
- 8:16I just want to say a huge thank you to you guys for making this
- 8:18possible for me and making me be able to go to events like that,
- 8:22and just yeah, it's just always such a pinch me moment. But seeing
- 8:26people like Shay Mitchell, Hailey Biever, Noah Back like in the same like
- 8:31festival as me is so crazy to me, and like I can't even speak.
- 8:37It's just like such a speechless moment, and I like, I can't
- 8:41even like film content when I'm there. I'm so in the moment that I'm
- 8:43like, I don't I don't even want to whip my phone out when I
- 8:46have to get work done. But I'm so like, I'm just always so
- 8:50beyond grateful and I just love to live in the moment for those kind of
- 8:52things. And yeah, it was such a great event that they hosted.
- 8:56They had Ice Spice there, they had Don Toliver also perform at Revolve Fast,
- 9:00so all in all, it was like such a fun day being in
- 9:01the sunshine, having some drinks, you know, seeing a lot of you
- 9:05know, different influencers and all that. It was just so so great.
- 9:09And I met so many of you there at the event as well who came
- 9:11up to me. So if you listen to my podcast and you came up
- 9:13to me, thank you so much. I always love meeting you guys.
- 9:16It's literally the best feeling ever. If you guys ever see me in person,
- 9:20do not be afraid to come up to me. I always love meeting
- 9:24you guys in person. It means the world to me. So I want
- 9:26to tell you guys that because I like to travel a lot. So if
- 9:30you ever see me, come hug me, come say hi. I always
- 9:33appreciate it. And then that night, Labyrinth did perform. Guys, his
- 9:37performance was insane. I literally felt like it was a real life scenario of
- 9:45euphoria. Like it was insane. You guys need to go on TikTok or
- 9:48YouTube and search up the Coachella performance by him. He was such an amazing
- 9:52performer. I cannot I cannot even put into words how good it was.
- 9:58Then he brought out Billie Eilish, which wasn't insane. I've never seen her
- 10:03perform either, so all in all, that night was such an amazing night.
- 10:07It was hands down, like the best night. And then after that,
- 10:11Calvin Harris played, which was also amazing. I know so many Calvin
- 10:16Harris songs, So that was another person that I literally didn't even see on
- 10:18the lineup, Like I don't even know. I just wanted to go to
- 10:22Coachella. I knew I was going to go. I didn't even look at
- 10:24the lineup. I'm like, I'm gonna have a fun time no matter what.
- 10:26And the thing about Coachella is that there's always surprise guests. You never
- 10:28know who's going to show up on stage. Last year, Justin Bieber showed
- 10:33up. I am like obsessed with that guy, like he is like my
- 10:35childhood like lover, like love Justin Bieber. So I literally cried when he
- 10:39came out on stage. So just because the lineup might not be great,
- 10:43you guys never know who's going to show up. Like the Weekend this year.
- 10:46I did not expect the Weekend to get on stage. So just know
- 10:48that if you're ever interested in going to Coachella, if you don't like the
- 10:52lineup, you never know who's going to show up because there's always surprise acts.
- 10:56And then the last day I was really struggling. This is day three
- 11:01of Coachella. I almost didn't make it out Like the twenty seven year old
- 11:05in me, I was like, oh my god, I am not used
- 11:07to going out this often anymore. Like I'm very much a homebody, and
- 11:13you know, I don't mind going out like one one night on the weekend,
- 11:16Like I don't like to go out every night, Like I just it's
- 11:18not me. But I pushed through it. I had to do it for
- 11:22Coachella. I had to do it with my friends. Had a lot of
- 11:24coffee, had a lot of energy drinks. I just really needed to push
- 11:28through the last day. It was more so like putting makeup on, putting
- 11:31the outfit on, like knowing that I was gonna be up till three am
- 11:35in the morning once again, Like you do not sleep during Coachella. It's
- 11:39just not a thing. Like some people go to after parties till six am.
- 11:43Some people don't even sleep, like I don't. I don't know what
- 11:46these people are doing. I can't do it. I really can't do it.
- 11:48So anyways, I pushed through. We went to Revolve Festival again and
- 11:52this day we really just focused on content because I got nothing on Saturday.
- 11:56I was so starstruck, I was so in the moment, like living in
- 11:58the moment of being at that festival, that I had nothing that I even
- 12:03captured there. So I ended up focusing on just shooting content that day,
- 12:07and then at night Frank Ocean was there. If you guys have heard the
- 12:11whole scandal about Frank Ocean, and if you haven't, I'll give a bit
- 12:15of a rundown. Essentially, he was pretty disappointing in seeing his performance.
- 12:20There's obviously like some people who thought it was really good and some people who
- 12:26thought it was not that good. A lot of people actually ended up leaving
- 12:28during the performance because they were so disappointed on how it turned out. But
- 12:31basically, we got there an hour before he was supposed to perform. We
- 12:35wanted to be there as early as we could get as close as we can
- 12:39because obviously Frank Ocean would be amazing to see. He hasn't performed in like
- 12:43six years, so it was a pretty big moment. And he also canceled
- 12:48the live stream. So every Coachella there's always a live stream for people who
- 12:52don't attend, they can watch it via live stream, and he didn't want
- 12:56Coachella to live stream his specific performance because he was launched a new album.
- 13:00He wanted to just do it for the fans and no one else, which
- 13:03seems like a pretty big deal. So obviously everyone's like wanting to go to
- 13:05it. We get there, he takes an hour to actually get out on
- 13:09stage. They're like deconstructing the stage, and we're all confused. We're like,
- 13:13what is he what are they doing? Are they taking the stage down?
- 13:16Like it was just all so weird, And after the concert we realized
- 13:20they released some information out as to why it took so long for him to
- 13:24come out, and apparently he changed his whole Coachella performance, Like the stage
- 13:28was completely different than what it was supposed to be. He decided to change
- 13:31it all last minute. There were supposed to be an ice rink, and
- 13:35why it was an hour delayed is because the workers were melting the ice,
- 13:39so it took them obviously an hour to do that, and I guess Frank
- 13:41said he wasn't going to come out until the stage was exactly the way he
- 13:45wanted it, so that was kind of a shit show. And then he
- 13:48comes out and he barely sings his own songs, like he's singing like half
- 13:54the song and then would end the song and go onto the next and some
- 13:58of the times he was lip singing. Some of the time he wasn't.
- 14:01He was adding some different flare on his like O G songs, So I
- 14:05don't know, it just overall was a very like interesting performance. And he
- 14:09would take like five to ten minutes till the next song, like till he
- 14:13performed the next song, so it was just like awkward silence, kind of
- 14:15like what is happening like, and then he would walk on and off the
- 14:18stage and like then there was this DJ that went on for fifteen minutes,
- 14:22and he took like a fifteen minute break, and the DJ was honestly so
- 14:26entertaining, like honestly, like that was probably like the best part of the
- 14:28performance. And that's kind of sad to say. I feel like everybody was
- 14:33just totally looking forward to seeing him since he was such a big headliner.
- 14:35But I can't say the whole thing was terrible. There were some good moments
- 14:39that he did have when he was singing and not lip singing or anything like
- 14:43that, But then the concert ended early because he went past curfew since he
- 14:48came out so late, so that was very disappointing to know that he couldn't
- 14:52even play like the good good songs that everybody knows, like Thinking about You,
- 14:56like Ivy, like just so many like good songs that everybody would sing
- 15:01along too, and he didn't even have the chance to perform it. So
- 15:03all in all, it was a little disappointing for people who are such big
- 15:07og like Frank Ocean, like people who just love his music, like I
- 15:11wouldn't say I'm a die hard fan, but I was looking forward to seeing
- 15:16him, and it was just a little disappointing to end the Coachella Knight that
- 15:20way. But all in all, the whole Coachella weekend was absolutely amazing.
- 15:24The people I was surrounded by, the opportunities that just the event in general.
- 15:28The food was good, the vibes were good, the energy was good,
- 15:33and I just had the best time. If you ever think about going
- 15:35to Coachella yourself, here's a few things that I would personally recommend that I'm
- 15:41taking in for myself next year. This was my second Coachella, but I
- 15:43know for my third Coachella, it's definitely going to be even better than what
- 15:48it was this year. First off, make sure you get a airbnb as
- 15:52close to the festival grounds as possible. Coachella is not in Palm Springs.
- 15:56It is in Coachella Valley, which is about an hour and a bit away
- 16:00from Palm Springstown. So get an airbnb in La Quinta, that is where
- 16:03it's the closest to the festival grounds. We did not do that. We
- 16:07made that mistake, so next year we'll definitely be finding an airbnb that's closer
- 16:11to the festival grounds. Another thing is, I know this sounds extremely bougie,
- 16:15but I honestly think it might actually be cheaper to do this verus.
- 16:18What we did is hiring a private driver. The ubers are insanely expensive,
- 16:22Like I'm talking a six minute drive to the festival grounds would be one hundred
- 16:26and fifty USD if not more like just ridiculous, Like no cheap pricing down
- 16:32there when it comes to driving, because there's a very limited amount since there's
- 16:34so many people there, there's service sucks, like everything is not the best
- 16:41since there's so many people in this one area. So it's definitely something to
- 16:45look into if that's something that you would want to do, but it's just
- 16:48a lot. If you're super close to the festival grounds and you're walking distance,
- 16:52I mean, that's obviously a huge bonus, but if you're not,
- 16:56I definitely recommend looking into hiring a private driver. And last, this is
- 17:00something that we tried to do this year, but the tickets sold out so
- 17:03fast that we weren't able to get our hands on it. But getting a
- 17:06VIP wrist pan, it just saves you the lines for drinks, it saves
- 17:10you the lines of the bathroom. It's just more of a secluded area.
- 17:15You don't have to feel like you're in a mosh pit when you're in the
- 17:17crowd. You have your own separate area. I'm also pretty sure that the
- 17:19celebrity is also chill in the VIP area. So it's a bit more expensive,
- 17:23but I think it's honestly worth it. It was something that we tried
- 17:26to do this year, but we just didn't get our bracelets on times.
- 17:29So highly recommend like trying to get VIP bracelets the day the tickets launch.
- 17:33But that's a bit of an inside scoop of Coachella and my week in La.
- 17:37I know this was kind of a long speel. I know I don't
- 17:40talk about my personal life too much, but I kind of wanted to just
- 17:44give you guys that information because I feel like Coachella is such a huge thing
- 17:47and I wanted to give you guys the inside scoop as to what happened for
- 17:51us. But all in all, it was such a great trip and highly
- 17:53recommend going to Coachella if you've thought about going. Okay, so let's get
- 17:57into this episode. I really wanted to highlight and talk about ways to lift
- 18:03your mood when you get home from a vacation and you're experiencing some post travel
- 18:08blues. I can definitely say I'm feeling that a bit right now, just
- 18:14coming home to you know, the gloomy weather and like I said, not
- 18:18really being in a social environment anymore and being with you know, really good
- 18:21friends of mine that I always love to be with, and like, yeah,
- 18:25it's long distance friendships are so hard. Like we all we all live
- 18:27within Canada, but not close to each other enough for us to see each
- 18:32other all the time. So it's definitely hard. And I'm sure a lot
- 18:34of you guys can relate to long distance bessies. It's never easy best thing
- 18:38to do is always, you know, try and keep yourself communicated with them
- 18:41by texting them, try and schedule some FaceTime calls together. We always try
- 18:45and do that to keep our you know, friendship strong. But like I
- 18:49said, it's never easy to say goodbye to your besties who live quite far
- 18:56from you. But just know that every time you guys get back together,
- 18:59it's always like so good, it feels so good getting back together. So
- 19:03anyways, first things first, you know you're gonna feel sad when you get
- 19:07home from vacation. You know you're going to feel unmotivated. Like this is
- 19:11very normal, Like it's normal to feel that way if that's how you're feeling
- 19:15after a vacation. But one thing that I can recommend when you get home
- 19:22is that give yourself a few days of rest. Don't push yourself to get
- 19:26back into things immediately. I think it's important too at least have a day
- 19:30or two just to kind of chill, Like, especially from my weekend,
- 19:34I needed to relax. I needed to force myself to not do anything.
- 19:38You guys know me, I love being productive, I love leaving the house
- 19:42doing stuff. All that I really had to force myself to stay on the
- 19:47couch and just you know, get a bit of work done on my phone.
- 19:49And you know, I don't know. I just tried to chill as
- 19:52much as I could and just relax, and I'll be entirely honest, I
- 19:57still haven't gone back into my workout routine. This is only day two of
- 20:00me being home, but I've been beating myself up and I'm trying to tell
- 20:03myself that, Kaylee, it's okay. You were listening to your body.
- 20:07You're not ready. You know when you'll be ready. So I am really
- 20:11trying to listen to my body and just not try and push anything. I
- 20:14also feel like I'm getting a bit sick, which I feel like is always
- 20:17common for me when I travel. I think it's just because of you know,
- 20:21always being so go, go go, and obviously like you know,
- 20:26long travel days. I had such a long travel day, ended up traveling
- 20:29for like I want to say, like it ended up being like almost twenty
- 20:32hours of travel, So it was a lot in one day, and I
- 20:36think it really just hit me. And then on top of that, just
- 20:37dealing with, you know, no sleep at Coachella since you're literally a festival,
- 20:41so one thing that I've been really making a huge priority since I've been
- 20:45home is my sleep. I have realized that sleep is just my biggest priority,
- 20:52in anyone's biggest priority. When you get back from travel, Like,
- 20:55like I said, you have long travel days. Usually when you're on vacation,
- 20:57like, you're not really focusing on sleep. You want to wake up
- 21:00and you want to do all the activities that you want to do, you
- 21:03want to hit all the tourist attractions. You want to just you know,
- 21:06be in the moment and get things done while you're there, right, And
- 21:08sometimes there's a time difference, Like right now, I'm actually three hours ahead
- 21:12then what I was in La, So it's three hours behind in LA.
- 21:15And it's definitely been affecting me when it comes to like my eating schedule,
- 21:21my sleeping schedule, all that. So I'm really just trying to get back
- 21:22on track with my sleep schedule. And obviously getting back into routine is something
- 21:27that's extremely important to me. But what I'm trying to do is I'm trying
- 21:32to gradually get back into it. I'm not trying to force anything. So
- 21:34this morning, my mindset was, I want to get a workout in.
- 21:38I want to have my healthy breakfast, and I want to do my skincare
- 21:41and I want to feel like I'm putting myself together. But you know what,
- 21:45I woke up this morning and I didn't get a workout in because I
- 21:49wasn't feeling motivated and I was really just trying to listen to my body.
- 21:52And so, like I said, I'm really trying to not beat myself up
- 21:56for that. I had a healthy breakfast, I got ready for the day,
- 21:57I did my skincare, trying to reward myself for those little things that
- 22:02I did within my routine and not beat myself up for that. But one
- 22:06thing that I did do today, which I think is actually a really good
- 22:08idea if you're someone that has a hard time getting back into a workout schedule
- 22:12getting back into a worker routine after travels, is booking a workout class and
- 22:17holding yourself accountable if you don't show up for it. So I booked a
- 22:22seven am spin class for tour morning. Am I thinking about regretting that?
- 22:26Probably? But am I going to push my butt at the door and get
- 22:29that workout class in? Absolutely? I think that's the best way to do
- 22:32it. I just find if I actually book a class, I have to
- 22:34stay committed and I have to get my butt to it. You guys know,
- 22:37I'm also a big at home workout gal, but I think I just
- 22:41need that class to push me out of my comfort zone and just get that
- 22:45workout class in and then get back into routine of getting my at home workouts
- 22:48done as well. So that's a tip that if you feel like you're having
- 22:52a hard time, book a workout class. Doesn't have to be spinning.
- 22:55It could be a yoga class, it could be a pilates class and anything
- 22:56like that. Just do something that will just push you to get back into
- 23:00routine. I think another thing I do that I always find uplifts me and
- 23:03makes my mood better when I get home from travels is reaching out to my
- 23:07friends and family after travels and just sharing my experiences, you know, telling
- 23:11them all the fun moments that I had on my trip and all the experiences,
- 23:15and it makes me feel like I'm almost reliving those good times. And
- 23:18it's fun to just share those stories with people that you love because they like
- 23:22to hear them. It's funny for them to hear and it makes them feel
- 23:25good knowing that you had a good time, so I always love to reach
- 23:29out to my friends and family and just tell them everything about the trip and
- 23:33just all the good moments and all the good experiences. Another thing that I
- 23:36do to boost my mood that I make a pride or a tea when I
- 23:38get home is always doing some self care. You guys know that I always
- 23:44make my skincare routina priority, the shower routina priority, just all the things
- 23:48that I love that make me feel good. And so one thing that I've
- 23:52done literally every single day since I've been home from travels is take a shower,
- 23:56do my skincare routine, put a cute outfit on, and then I
- 24:00at least feel put together and I at least feel like I'm doing something for
- 24:03myself, And it just puts my mindset in a better mood knowing that I
- 24:07have myself put together and I'm not sitting on the couch doing nothing. Right
- 24:11like the first day, like I said, I literally did nothing, But
- 24:15today I woke up, I did all those things, and I felt so
- 24:18much better knowing that I put myself together for the day and I put myself
- 24:22first. Another thing that makes me feel so good coming home is home cooked
- 24:27meals. There is nothing like a home cooked meal that feels so good.
- 24:32I feel like every time I'm on vacation, you guys know, I always
- 24:34try and prioritize balance and balance is important. And don't get me wrong,
- 24:38I treated myself this trip. I had so much pizza, I it's so
- 24:42many goodies, so much ice cream, Like I did not care what I
- 24:47ate, but I did want a home cooked meal as soon as I got
- 24:52home and did that ever slap. There's just nothing like a good home cooked
- 24:56meal. I feel so much comfort when I'm at home and always a sense
- 25:00of routine as well, like eating the normal foods that you eat at home.
- 25:03So I feel like that always makes me happy when it's the good foods
- 25:07that I always make during the week, whether it's for dinners or my go
- 25:10to breakfast. You guys know, my favorite breakfast is oatmeal. Making that
- 25:14in the morning was like the best thing is Yeah, I don't know,
- 25:17just eating the foods that you always eat. There's some sense of cumbert in,
- 25:21some sense of routine that just makes you feel so good. And then
- 25:23this one I actually did this morning. This was something that I thought was
- 25:27such a great idea to again really just boost my mood was expressing gratitude,
- 25:33and this I did by journaling. You guys know, I love to journal,
- 25:37and I feel like me writing down everything that I experienced this week and
- 25:41this weekend and just being able to have those memories that I built and feeling
- 25:45so lucky for those opportunities that I was able to get. Was so beyond
- 25:51grateful and I was so happy I was able to have that moment and just
- 25:55write down everything I was feeling and write down everything that I was so proud
- 26:00of myself for doing, and just everything that they did on the trip and
- 26:03made me realize like how lucky I am and how lucky I was to experience
- 26:07those things. So it's always nice to express gratitude for those moments and you
- 26:14always get to look back at that knowing that you had such amazing opportunities and
- 26:18even looking back at pictures, like it's always fun to also make an album
- 26:22of like all the pictures that you took from that trip that you could look
- 26:25back at and just smile and just realize how fun it was to experience that
- 26:29with your friends and all that. So definitely just being able to express the
- 26:33gratitude of traveling and being able to travel and being able to have those experiences
- 26:37always so rewarding, and is it always makes you feel so good? And
- 26:41then this last thing is something that I feel like is so important to highlight
- 26:45when it comes to coming home. Is you need to realize, is what
- 26:48are the things that you do at home that you actually enjoy doing? Like
- 26:52what are the key things that make you smile and make you realize like,
- 26:56this is why I enjoy being home. It's these things here. So for
- 27:00an example for me, when I think of coming home, the things that
- 27:03I want to do as soon as I come home from travels is doing the
- 27:07things that I love doing, like doing my routine, like going to spin
- 27:10classes with my best friend, walking Freddie outside, having Sunday dinners with my
- 27:15family, spending nights with my fiance. Those little things make me realize,
- 27:18this is why I like to come home. This is what I like to
- 27:22come home too, is these little things that make me feel happy. So
- 27:26write down those things that you enjoy that you do when you are home and
- 27:30make a list of it, and do all those things the week when you
- 27:33get home from travels. And I'm telling you right now, you'll realize how
- 27:36grateful you are to be home and to be present with those people that you
- 27:38love and surrounding yourself with those good people, and you'll realize that, yes,
- 27:42you enjoy traveling, but there's also a sense of you loving to be
- 27:45home and doing those things that make you feel comfortable and make you feel like
- 27:49you're back into your routine. So those are just some tips on how I
- 27:53feel like I uplift my mood when I am feeling a little down, especially
- 27:57after travels. I know, you know, going away in the winter is
- 28:00always hard. And coming home to you the snow or the gloomy state and
- 28:04you were in the sunshine and the sun and the heat, it's never easy.
- 28:08I mean, I'm in that state right now. I was in the
- 28:11desert and now I'm you know, it's not snowing, but it's very gloomy
- 28:15and it's very cold, so it's not really enjoyable to you know, walk
- 28:18out in a jacket instead of walking out in a T shirt and shorts.
- 28:22But like I said, these little things that I'm doing are really helping my
- 28:26mood and really helping my mindset and just making me realize how I love being
- 28:32home. I'm a huge homebody. I love to be with my loved ones,
- 28:36and I love still being able to have the opportunity of travels. But
- 28:40I know that these things are going to help me get through those travel blues.
- 28:44So I think I'm going to end the episode up here. Thank you
