- 5:01Speaker 10: Come on, Doc, it's a fine pain to get a
- 5:03Speaker 10: man out.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Of bed for it. And they said there was a
- 5:06Speaker 3: moaning sounds you might be needed probably some blame drunk
- 5:10Speaker 3: and cobble, and you have nothing better to do?
- 5:12Speaker 10: What about sleeping sleep midday?
- 5:14Speaker 3: You're always complaining about not being able to sleep.
- 5:17Speaker 7: Anyway, Doc, right down there, Marshall, I don't see anything now,
- 5:32Speaker 7: but it was right down.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Here, Chuster bringing a lot of them.

- 6:08Speaker 3: partner last fall was to hold that lad a little
- 6:10Speaker 3: bit higher.
- 6:11Speaker 5: They were just sure enough.
- 6:13Speaker 8: That's fair any pay and I would have recognized him.
- 6:17Speaker 5: What could have done to him doing? Uh?
- 6:20Speaker 3: Some big animal or some kind of bear. Maybe here
- 6:22Speaker 3: a wolf.
- 6:23Speaker 8: It's close to town.
- 6:24Speaker 3: That's possible. I don't know. Dark what about him and
- 6:30Speaker 3: he's a lying That's about all I can say.
- 6:34Speaker 10: There's one thing over there. These wounds are crusted.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Oh what do you mean?
- 6:39Speaker 10: I mean he didn't get him tonight or even today.
- 6:43Speaker 10: This happened three four days ago, maybe more.
- 6:46Speaker 5: But then I don't get him.
- 6:47Speaker 7: And he's come a long way since. They look at
- 6:49Speaker 7: his knees and his hands. If he did, he's crawled
- 6:53Speaker 7: for miles with.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Wounds like that happened, making half dead.
- 6:58Speaker 5: He was half dead when he started.
- 7:00Speaker 10: Man, he's a lot more than that. Now he's hanging
- 7:04Speaker 10: on by a thread. We better get him to my.
- 7:07Speaker 9: Office, by man.
- 7:29Speaker 3: One dog has a patience.
- 7:30Speaker 7: Well I don't know how, but he's alive and not
- 7:34Speaker 7: just alive, but kicking you.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Hey, I'm hungry. See what I mean? Man?
- 7:40Speaker 10: You saw I was not twelve hours ago?
- 7:43Speaker 5: Whould have believed it?
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Can I talk to him?
- 7:45Speaker 5: Why not?
- 7:46Speaker 10: I can't keep him quiet anyway?
- 7:52Speaker 3: How about talking?
- 7:53Speaker 10: Hardy Marshall, Why don't you make that ding doctor? Give
- 7:56Speaker 10: me something to eat?
- 7:57Speaker 5: I'm making you some soup. I shut up so I
- 8:00Speaker 5: ate in the week and he did mid dishwater, get
- 8:03Speaker 5: anything else down?
- 8:04Speaker 10: And you need nourishment?
- 8:05Speaker 5: Oh Dan, if I could just get out of this
- 8:07Speaker 5: during dare.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It is it? You've been throwing awful lot.
- 8:10Speaker 5: You're telling me what I've been through.
- 8:12Speaker 3: How I'm asking him? They want to tell me about it.
- 8:15Speaker 5: It ain't no affair of the law.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Maybe not. I just have to be curious.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Man, if they had the brains, you can see a
- 8:20Speaker 5: tangle with the bear. That's all.
- 8:22Speaker 10: What was were oh maybe six seven days down the nations,
- 8:28Speaker 10: out towards the Cimarron. Yeah, God, you eat this tactic dishwater.
- 8:32Speaker 5: It's good for you. It ain't something warm in here me, Doc,
- 8:36Speaker 5: you ain't told me you think you can fix me up.
- 8:39Speaker 10: There's nothing to fix up scott issues already forming.
- 8:43Speaker 5: I ain't going to be supretty.
- 8:46Speaker 7: That bear took half your scalp and good party of face,
- 8:50Speaker 7: so there's nothing good about that too.
- 8:52Speaker 5: And there were two handsome anuwaies. That's all right.
- 8:56Speaker 10: I'm a trapper and not a drummer. And then Cheyenne squalls.
- 8:59Speaker 5: And scared off by a few scars.
- 9:02Speaker 3: What about my arm?
- 9:04Speaker 10: They've lost some muscle, but you'll have some movement left.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Talk of the main thing is that you're alive and menton.
- 9:10Speaker 10: He and I think some of that soup.
- 9:13Speaker 5: With rest the little foods, you will be.
- 9:15Speaker 10: Walking around again a few days, maybe trapping again in
- 9:18Speaker 10: a month. I got something to do first, because tell
- 9:23Speaker 10: me what happened.
- 9:24Speaker 5: I told you.
- 9:25Speaker 10: Tangled with a grizzly, walked into him in this thicket,
- 9:29Speaker 10: and the critter attacked me Himfore I get my gun up,
- 9:32Speaker 10: finally killed him with my knife, but not before he
- 9:35Speaker 10: charged me. What about your pardner, Billy Adams, Yeah, he
- 9:40Speaker 10: couldn't wait, couldn't wait, found me near dead, done what
- 9:46Speaker 10: he could, but wasn't much. We both figured I was
- 9:49Speaker 10: a goner and there's hostiles around kamanchies. He's nervous, I guess,
- 9:55Speaker 10: shouldn't be very alone with a dia man on his hands.
- 9:59Speaker 10: Only I wouldn't for him so he could bury me
- 10:01Speaker 10: and have done with medio upture next morning. He took
- 10:05Speaker 10: everything they need to leave me, a knife to slip
- 10:09Speaker 10: between my ribs. And you wouldn't do that to an animal.
- 10:12Speaker 10: And would you, Marshall, just leave him to die alone.
- 10:15Speaker 5: In the wilderness.
- 10:16Speaker 3: It slid his throat for him.
- 10:17Speaker 10: At least Billy wouldn't do that for me. And that's
- 10:22Speaker 10: when I decided what that I wouldn't die, that I'd
- 10:26Speaker 10: come after him and I'd lived to find him. So
- 10:29Speaker 10: I started crawling five days on my hands and knees,
- 10:34Speaker 10: without food or water. And when I find him, I'm
- 10:38Speaker 10: going to kill him, but not fast, slow, real slow.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I can't say I blame him. I'm struggling that there
- 10:54Speaker 3: is one thing I'm thankful for, which that Billy Adams
- 10:58Speaker 3: don't on Dodge. I'd hate to have to arrest you
- 11:02Speaker 3: for murder.
- 11:03Speaker 10: And then, as long as I'm here, you better see
- 11:06Speaker 10: he stayed away.
- 11:23Speaker 6: Well, Matt, but late, this's getting cold.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Oh sorry, Kitty, Oh Doc.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Mad shut up?
- 11:33Speaker 10: But here's actually edible today.
- 11:36Speaker 3: That's good. How's your patience these days?
- 11:39Speaker 6: Do you mean it's star boarder, don't you?
- 11:41Speaker 3: Oh? I guess he's been around long enough to be
- 11:43Speaker 3: called three weeks.
- 11:46Speaker 6: He isn't even about to leave.
- 11:47Speaker 3: He's still complaining of his eight complains.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Doc, No, No, doesn't bother now you just enjoyed himself
- 11:53Speaker 7: at Doc's spence.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Matt Eaton brought him clothes.
- 11:57Speaker 3: He didn't have anything left, Kitty. I seen him walking
- 12:00Speaker 3: around town a couple of times, Dock. He seems almost
- 12:02Speaker 3: back to normal.
- 12:03Speaker 10: Well, yeah, I considering everything though. It has been a miraculous.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Recovery, and I'm kind of surprised he doesn't want to
- 12:11Speaker 3: be getting on about his business.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Well, the truth is he does.
- 12:15Speaker 10: He's staying here in my orders.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Oh, medical reasons, or you're trying to slow him down.
- 12:21Speaker 10: Man, I can help to keep him out of trouble
- 12:24Speaker 10: when you kind of take a lick until you don't
- 12:27Speaker 10: coot yourself. Haim a minute, I'm.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Fraid I have that.
- 12:33Speaker 6: What kind of trouble are you talking about?
- 12:35Speaker 7: Don kind of the man gets into when he's bitter
- 12:38Speaker 7: about something.
- 12:40Speaker 6: You mean, Billy Adam.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe we could keep Tug here long enough he
- 12:44Speaker 3: could cool down, don't giddy, But I don't know how
- 12:47Speaker 3: hung talk can afford the expense.
- 12:51Speaker 8: Yeah, you know who just wrote any town he's done
- 12:54Speaker 8: a Moscrimmage's right now.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Oh, Billy Adam, good, he just go to know.
- 13:00Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm not as smart as a park. I should
- 13:02Speaker 10: have said Tug packing.
- 13:04Speaker 3: That's Billy Adams is going to be sent packing doc.
- 13:07Speaker 3: And right now, hey.
- 13:18Speaker 8: Mars oh, oh, Marsa.
- 13:26Speaker 3: He's out back shore his huh you uh. He didn't
- 13:32Speaker 3: tell him anything about about Tuck being here or alive.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Wasn't my business to Marshall got belly?
- 13:52Speaker 5: Oh, oh, Marshall.
- 13:57Speaker 7: Oh you're doing here in Dodge like Oh the packing
- 14:00Speaker 7: U doueing a horse, buying the supplies and going on
- 14:05Speaker 7: west back to the marstage by Marshall.
- 14:09Speaker 3: The last time he went through here, you had a
- 14:10Speaker 3: partner body. What happened to him?
- 14:12Speaker 2: Oh?
- 14:15Speaker 7: I didn't know anybody, and Dodge heard about that, and
- 14:18Speaker 7: somebody from Puebla come through and told the story.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I suppose you tell it to me.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Well, just the way you heard, Marshall.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Powerful sad thing.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Doug got killed by a bear.
- 14:30Speaker 7: He got caught in a ticket with a big grizzly
- 14:33Speaker 7: killed tug out right to it.
- 14:35Speaker 5: No, no, he lasted till next day.
- 14:39Speaker 10: Oh, nothing I could do for him though he was
- 14:42Speaker 10: He was claude so bad.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Oh so you buried him?
- 14:47Speaker 7: Oh that's here that somebody found the body, you know?
- 14:54Speaker 7: You know I felt bad about that, Marshall. I didn't
- 14:56Speaker 7: have time to bury him. There was commanche snuffing around,
- 15:00Speaker 7: and I had to get out of there quick without
- 15:02Speaker 7: no fuck and no noise. So I left him in
- 15:07Speaker 7: that thicket. I figured he'd be just as safe there
- 15:11Speaker 7: he's in a shallow grave. What was left to him
- 15:15Speaker 7: besides tug He didn't put much stock in ceremony.
- 15:19Speaker 3: He made just one mistake, but like what he should
- 15:22Speaker 3: have made sure he was dead. What do you mean,
- 15:27Speaker 3: marsh Who he's alive. He right here in Dodge, he is.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Oh, I'm right glad to hear that.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Oh I really am not so sure you will be Billy.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Maybe tugged him, but much stocking ceremony. But he's sure
- 15:42Speaker 3: looking for you. Yeah, yeah, I guess he would be.
- 15:50Speaker 3: My advice to you is to get on that horse
- 15:52Speaker 3: and ride.
- 15:54Speaker 10: Oh no, I couldn't do rad, marsh Why not?
- 15:57Speaker 8: Well I got to see him, I got to explore Lily.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I don't care about you, but I don't want to
- 16:02Speaker 3: see tug up from murder or seeing shopping and sold.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Marshall, it wouldn't be like that.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I think maybe it wouldn't. And I'm telling you to
- 16:10Speaker 3: get out of town now, all.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Right, Marshall, I'll oblige you. Our camp just outside.
- 16:21Speaker 7: Town, just just wet. You tell Doug that, huh? You
- 16:25Speaker 7: tell him I'll be waiting right there for him.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Now.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Well, there's things we got to talk about, Marshall.
- 16:32Speaker 5: There's money I owe him for he split of the.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Firs, and I'll tell him nothing.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Billy, it's Marshall.
- 16:39Speaker 7: We with partners, tugging me and friends, even if he
- 16:43Speaker 7: was a lot older than me.
- 16:45Speaker 5: I guess this here is something that's got to be
- 16:47Speaker 5: settled between this one way or the other. I'll be waiting. Yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 5: have to.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Did he do it?
- 17:03Speaker 5: Did tell him?
- 17:04Speaker 3: Yeah? I told him.
- 17:05Speaker 5: The whole town's all time. Don't hold their bit and
- 17:07Speaker 5: see what's gonna happen Chester.
- 17:09Speaker 3: You didn't tell him.
- 17:10Speaker 5: I didn't have to tell nobody. Plenty of folks see
- 17:13Speaker 5: him riding ride down funk.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Stein, and I suppose Tug knows.
- 17:17Speaker 5: I don't know he's out there.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Dog, Is that where you're going?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:22Speaker 10: Do you reckon?
- 17:22Speaker 5: You'll be shooting them?
- 17:23Speaker 3: Not if I can help that.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Justice. Don't wait a minute you're doing me.
- 17:32Speaker 10: No, I'm glad, Jordy.
- 17:36Speaker 5: I don't kind of stop the Marshall. Get out of
- 17:37Speaker 5: my way.
- 17:38Speaker 3: I see you've heard the news.
- 17:39Speaker 5: I heard all right. Ain't nobody going to stop me.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You don't even have a gun. You're gonna tackle him
- 17:44Speaker 3: with your bare hand?
- 17:45Speaker 5: Maybe you will, lie. I could break him into.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Oh he's got a gun, so maybe you better think
- 17:49Speaker 3: it over.
- 17:49Speaker 5: You can say he's going to stop me, Marshall.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I'll wait a minute. Two opson of old fool Billy
- 17:53Speaker 3: was your partner, he was your friend, so he deserted you.
- 17:57Speaker 3: All right? Maybe you got a cause for everyone?
- 17:59Speaker 5: Maybe all right?
- 18:00Speaker 3: But what goods they're gonna do for one of you
- 18:02Speaker 3: to get killed just to satisfy your need for revenge? Tug?
- 18:09Speaker 3: He wants to give you your half of the profits
- 18:11Speaker 3: from the frozen trapping off it you talked to me,
- 18:14Speaker 3: I did, and he told me his side of it.
- 18:17Speaker 3: He thought you were already dead.
- 18:19Speaker 10: Get you alive, it is, but he seem mighty.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Surprised that you were alive, and he was glad too.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Glad.
- 18:30Speaker 3: It's true, and he wouldn't take my advice to run away.
- 18:35Speaker 3: He's waiting for you outside. Tom. He told me to
- 18:39Speaker 3: tell you that he wants to see it.
- 18:42Speaker 10: Yeah, she all right, you get me a gun, Tug.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Isn't there anything I can say that will stop you?
- 18:48Speaker 5: Then your business, Marshall. I got a right to go
- 18:51Speaker 5: after Amita.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess maybe you have.
- 18:55Speaker 5: All right, then I'm gonna find me a gun. Maxwell

- 19:02Speaker 3: How much I can do? Doc, you'll tangle Sooner or later,
- 19:07Speaker 3: there's gonna be there to see that. Whatever happens happens. Fair.
