• 1:14
I'm with the journalist Enzo Mauri, who introduces
• 1:17
the today's topic. Good morning, today I'm talking
• 1:20
to you about a well -known newspaper. As the
• 1:22
idea of Michelino was born, it is not given to
• 1:24
know. For sure, in the 60s, the publisher began
• 1:27
to distribute, in the Italian newspapers, a newspaper
• 1:30
for boys destined to leave a mark. Composed of
• 1:33
32 pages, Michelino at the time cost 60 lire
• 1:36
and then 80. to then go to 100 lire in the last
• 1:38
numbers. The newspaper was published every Saturday.
• 1:42
The first number came out on November 1, 1961,
• 1:45
while the last one on October 21, 1967. The weekly
• 1:49
number was also combined with Michelino's monthly
• 1:52
with other fables, games, stories. The newspaper
• 1:54
also offered an insert of 12 pages, in fact a
• 1:57
newspaper in the newspaper, where topics such
• 2:00
as history, geography, mythology, etc. were treated
• 2:03
. Always in the insert you could find games,
• 2:06
shapes to be cut. For Christmas, with scissors,
• 2:09
it was also possible to make an entire crib.
• 2:12
Michellino therefore had a playful valence linked
• 2:14
to that of teaching. In addition to the colored
• 2:16
cover in a different way, the pages made available
• 2:19
to the boys a myriad of headlines. At the opening
• 2:22
of the newspaper you could read the diary of
• 2:24
Tranquillo Snowdon with stories set in the Far
• 2:27
West of 1891. The column Oggi vi racconto instead
• 2:31
contained fairy tales, invented stories, but
• 2:33
also real stories suitable for reading of teenagers
• 2:36
the newspaper was focused on both males and females
• 2:39
in which maria rosa cousin of michelino for example
• 2:43
gave advice on how to help the mothers in the
• 2:45
house affairs the child who gives the name to
• 2:47
the newspaper was the protagonist of real adventures
• 2:49
lived together with the dog on Tuesday and the
• 2:52
blue -haired cat and a little of everything grandmother
• 2:54
romilda dispensed with advice of all kinds such
• 2:57
as dressing up collecting flowers or recipes
• 2:59
in two other columns on the story some questions
• 3:03
were formulated whose solution was at the bottom
• 3:05
of the newspaper, while another offered stories
• 3:07
related to the Greek myth. The Fumetti stories
• 3:11
are also indispensable, in line with the journal's
• 3:13
mission and therefore with a cultural background.
• 3:15
  In October 1967, after 313 numbers, Michelino's
• 3:20
publications ceased in advance compared to the
• 3:22
end of the year, probably for the scarce sales.
• 3:25
Thanks to Enzo Mauri for today's theme, appointment
• 3:28
