- 0:00Speaker 1: Hi guys, my friends, happening my friends, Joel, How are you?
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm good? How are you? I am well? Just checking
- 0:12Speaker 1: on you, Mama, Yeah, yeah, I had um. Donald Nars
- 0:16Speaker 1: was recorded yesterday and I texted early in the morning
- 0:18Speaker 1: to be like, I woke up with a fever and
- 0:20Speaker 1: body aches. You know me, good morning, yo, get tested.
- 0:27Speaker 1: He's like it out of Donald was probably thinking like
- 0:29Speaker 1: can I get COVID over my headphones? My heart immediately
- 0:36Speaker 1: went to the Queen of all things fake doctor's real
- 0:39Speaker 1: friend Joe to make sure, are you okay? How are
- 0:42Speaker 1: you feeling? I'm much better today. I think it was
- 0:45Speaker 1: just I am a person who has an anxiety disorder.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I think I let myself get too stressed. Uh, It's
- 0:51Speaker 1: made me sick before. I've been hospitalized for it before,
- 0:54Speaker 1: so I, you know, use all my toolbox stuff. And
- 0:57Speaker 1: I was like, you know, let me just take a
- 0:58Speaker 1: few hours to calm down and then get back in it.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And so I did, and I felt much better by
- 1:02Speaker 1: like mid afternoon, and no science this morning, So I
- 1:05Speaker 1: think we're good. Still scheduled to test anyway, just to
- 1:07Speaker 1: be safe, but I think we're fine. Is there anything
- 1:10Speaker 1: Donald and I can do to lessen your anxiety. Nope,
- 1:14Speaker 1: y'all are great. Okay, that's me and my therapist thing.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Just I just I know it's a personal thing and
- 1:22Speaker 1: you don't have to share it with the world, but
- 1:24Speaker 1: I'm just but I want you to know that if
- 1:26Speaker 1: there's anything at all that's contributing your anxiety that comes
- 1:29Speaker 1: from Donald and I, we can, we can change it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: That's very Donald could be kinder whoa whoa right out
- 1:38Speaker 1: of the gate. If I'm any kinder, I am stand
- 1:47Speaker 1: and it's dangerous, um, and I'm like, I missed you too.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You know what, man, I'm going to tell you something
- 1:54Speaker 1: right now, budd ahead, the world has been set ablaze
- 1:59Speaker 1: by Megan Arcle and Harry set a place. Dude. I
- 2:08Speaker 1: only I only watched some clips. I didn't watch that, dude.
- 2:11Speaker 1: All I had to hear was the baby's skin color,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and that was a I was like, dude, I don't
- 2:18Speaker 1: give I could care less about everything else. That's the
- 2:22Speaker 1: one thing that I targeted on right away, like wait
- 2:24Speaker 1: to say what, hold on what they said what? Right away? Dude,
- 2:30Speaker 1: right away? I don't know about y'all. Yeah, being suicidal
- 2:39Speaker 1: was definitely a checker for me. That was another one.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That was another one where I was, yeah, that was
- 2:47Speaker 1: really frightening actually to hear her say that she she
- 2:51Speaker 1: was suicidal and wanted to seek an in treatment program somewhere,
- 2:56Speaker 1: and they were like, no, we're sorry. The fact that
- 3:00Speaker 1: that's insane, um, I mean that's crazy. Yeah. The fact
- 3:05Speaker 1: that she recognized it and was like, yo, I need help.
- 3:08Speaker 1: M yeah, and Hart and then they were just like, no,
- 3:12Speaker 1: that was nuts. Tyler Perry gave them shelter. Oh my god,
- 3:17Speaker 1: that was crazy to me. What Tyler Perry gave them shelter. Well,
- 3:20Speaker 1: he freaking put them up for a bit, right, didn't
- 3:23Speaker 1: they stay at his house or something like that? So
- 3:25Speaker 1: when they left, they didn't get anything from the palace,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, like they don't have real jobs, and so um.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Luckily Harry's mother left him what amounted to being forty
- 3:36Speaker 1: million after like um and curred costs and all of that,
- 3:40Speaker 1: so they were able to get out of the country.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But then they like couldn't go anywhere immediately. And so
- 3:46Speaker 1: Tyler Perry is like, here's a house, stay in it.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It's mine. Just chill, yeah, back on my feet. The
- 3:52Speaker 1: next step, Tyler was like, I don't even know which
- 3:55Speaker 1: it's one of my mansions. No one's even in it.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It really is an interesting story, if you know, if
- 4:03Speaker 1: they if here's where it gets crazy. They thought this
- 4:07Speaker 1: was the end of it. This is definitely not the
- 4:10Speaker 1: end of it. You know what I mean. Well, they're gonna.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I haven't been following it. You want to be gonna.
- 4:14Speaker 1: They're gonna have to make a statement or something. I'm
- 4:16Speaker 1: dying to know what they're starting. The Palace. The Palace
- 4:19Speaker 1: did make a statement. They made a statement already, and
- 4:21Speaker 1: it was a positive statement from what I was pretty
- 4:23Speaker 1: good wine, yeah, pretty pretty very much like, yeah, well,
- 4:27Speaker 1: at least they're hiding out somewhere nice in Santa Barbara
- 4:30Speaker 1: near Oprah, and forty million should cover a nice sub
- 4:35Speaker 1: style of living for them. Agreed, I'll take I'll take
- 4:39Speaker 1: forty million. They can just chill with their chickens and Oprah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You give me forty million, I'm gonna what are you
- 4:46Speaker 1: gonna do? We learned you're gonna you're gonna build a submarine,
- 4:48Speaker 1: a submerged that's that's what. That's what like the money
- 4:52Speaker 1: of forever. So with forty million, you wouldn't build like
- 4:55Speaker 1: a small sub like a little pocket sub, like one
- 4:57Speaker 1: of those ones. James Cameron's always looking for shipwrecks. That's
- 5:01Speaker 1: how he drives too. He drives like this. I would,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I would, man. The only guy loves the only thing
- 5:09Speaker 1: that guy loves more than making a giant movie is
- 5:11Speaker 1: finding a shipwreck. His treasure in shipwrecks. That's like his
- 5:15Speaker 1: hobby is like getting in a sub and looking for shipwrecks.
- 5:17Speaker 1: He's probably made more money finding shipwrecks than he did
- 5:20Speaker 1: with any of his movies. And clue, you and I go,
- 5:22Speaker 1: You and I play tennis, You and I go play tennis.
- 5:24Speaker 1: He's like, all right, baby, I'm gonna find a shipwreck sub.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I might want one of those subs. Because if I
- 5:30Speaker 1: said to you, dude, I got a sub, do you
- 5:33Speaker 1: want to go find shipwrecks? You remember mom? Let's go? Yeah, dude,
- 5:36Speaker 1: if you knew how to drive the sub? Do you
- 5:38Speaker 1: remember Octopussy? Of course? Man, it's the best James Bond
- 5:41Speaker 1: movie ever. I don't know if it's the best James
- 5:43Speaker 1: Bond movie when I was a kid. When I was
- 5:46Speaker 1: a kid, that was the best James Bond Why you
- 5:50Speaker 1: know why, brother, Because we're close to the same age
- 5:52Speaker 1: and that movie came out and we were of the
- 5:54Speaker 1: age because I remember it was one of my very
- 5:57Speaker 1: first um, I don't know if it was our one
- 6:00Speaker 1: of my very first movies I attended where I needed
- 6:03Speaker 1: a parent to go with me. Yes, and I didn't
- 6:06Speaker 1: really know James Bond. On't how old I was, but
- 6:08Speaker 1: I was at the age it was when was what
- 6:09Speaker 1: every year? Actually duel? Can you look for me? What
- 6:12Speaker 1: year did For Your Eyes Only? Come out? Sorry? Sorry,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I'm combining two things. I loved octopusy, but the one
- 6:18Speaker 1: I'm talking about is For Your Eyes Only, which was
- 6:21Speaker 1: the first one I saw in the theaters and it
- 6:25Speaker 1: was right see did you ever see? Never Say Never Again? Never?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Never Say Never, Say Never Again? Was the movie that
- 6:35Speaker 1: wasn't officially a James Bond movie, but it was a
- 6:37Speaker 1: James Bond movie. And it was after Sean Connery left
- 6:41Speaker 1: and he came back and played Double O seven one
- 6:44Speaker 1: more time and was the movie was called Never Say
- 6:47Speaker 1: Never Again? Huh. I know the title, but I don't
- 6:49Speaker 1: know if I saw that one. My brother was obsessed with.
- 6:52Speaker 1: It was either Never Say Never or Never Say Never
- 6:54Speaker 1: Again eighty one, so that would made me six. That's
- 6:58Speaker 1: insane to think that I was six years old scene
- 7:00Speaker 1: for your eyes only, but I guess I was. When
- 7:02Speaker 1: did octopusy come out? I'm just like saying, octopus? Are
- 7:08Speaker 1: you drinking? It's my grandmother's favorite word too. What are
- 7:11Speaker 1: you drinking? Though? Uh? Apple juice? I worked out heavy today.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't believe you're drinking apple juice. It's a little
- 7:18Speaker 1: early for whiskey though. It's afternoon. It's one. And by
- 7:24Speaker 1: the way, I'm what happened to our health? Kick? It's
- 7:26Speaker 1: one and COVID is retreating and you got already you
- 7:31Speaker 1: got you gotta give up the Tuesday whiskeys, bro. I
- 7:35Speaker 1: got up early this that's some COVID shit we're pulling out.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I got up early this morning. You're drinking red bull
- 7:41Speaker 1: m m yeah. Yeah, you're trying to get high too.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You're want the same shit drinking? Motherfuck? Are you trying
- 7:51Speaker 1: to get high too? I think right, I think red bulls. Okay,
- 7:54Speaker 1: that's right, that's right. You're trying to do it too,
- 7:56Speaker 1: don't trip. This is my funny juice, yeah exactly, this
- 7:59Speaker 1: is my funny juice, exactly exactly. Um, but what were
- 8:07Speaker 1: we talking about? Are you talking about how brilliant Octopussy
- 8:12Speaker 1: one year nineteen eighty three, nineteen eighty three, that's when
- 8:15Speaker 1: I saw that was I think that's my first James
- 8:17Speaker 1: Bond movie. And when I was a kid, I thought
- 8:19Speaker 1: that was so dope, and then people were like, you
- 8:21Speaker 1: should see Moonraker, and I watched Moonraker, like all of
- 8:24Speaker 1: the Roger Moore movies where my introduction into James. Well,
- 8:27Speaker 1: we didn't know as little kids that Roger Moore wasn't
- 8:30Speaker 1: the Jam until our senior, our senior. He was the
- 8:35Speaker 1: second Jam. He was the second Jam. Sean Connery was
- 8:38Speaker 1: the first Jam. He was the second Jam. I think
- 8:40Speaker 1: there was somebody in between them briefly, yeah, yeah, one
- 8:44Speaker 1: one movie, one movie, yeah yeah, but the jam was
- 8:49Speaker 1: those guys. I'll tell you this right now. I think
- 8:52Speaker 1: Timothy Dalton did a great job as James Bond. I
- 8:55Speaker 1: just think some of his movies weren't that good. I
- 8:58Speaker 1: think Pierce Brazen before when Rimington Steel was over, should
- 9:03Speaker 1: have been James Bond. Or when Rimington Steel was after
- 9:06Speaker 1: that one year and it wasn't really that dope and
- 9:09Speaker 1: they didn't go he should have been James Bond back then.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Instead of being James Bond when he was an old man,
- 9:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And I think Daniel Craig
- 9:18Speaker 1: by far has the best James Bond movies out of
- 9:21Speaker 1: all of them. Well, of course now they're they're made
- 9:24Speaker 1: with like you know, Sam Mendez with a zillion dollars.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I think they're really fucking great. But Sean Connery, dude,
- 9:31Speaker 1: was was the man and Sean you can't pare anybody, absolutely,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but this was a different type of James. He was
- 9:36Speaker 1: a different type of James Bond. You know. He was
- 9:39Speaker 1: very rough on the ladies. He was you know what
- 9:40Speaker 1: I mean? He was you know, he was very abusive.
- 9:43Speaker 1: When I say rough on the ladies, he would smack
- 9:45Speaker 1: ladies around and hit yeah, I mean you know what
- 9:47Speaker 1: I mean, your life do you mean? In the movies
- 9:49Speaker 1: are in his realm? He would do it. He did it,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and the movies too, Buddy, in the movies too. My
- 9:54Speaker 1: point is I think Daniel Craig has the best ones.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I would love it if James Bond is a number
- 10:02Speaker 1: and a code name and not a person and these
- 10:06Speaker 1: aren't all the same, dude, because I feel like we
- 10:12Speaker 1: might have missed the boat already and this was a
- 10:13Speaker 1: big deal. But I feel like Idris album would have
- 10:16Speaker 1: been the best. James would have been a great James
- 10:18Speaker 1: Bond and and that should have happened and it and
- 10:21Speaker 1: it didn't happen, And well, why do you know that
- 10:22Speaker 1: it won't happen in the future. He's not too old
- 10:24Speaker 1: to play James Bond. Then they weren't going to do that, Yeah,
- 10:30Speaker 1: which was frustrating an African American man. Yeah. And then
- 10:35Speaker 1: they said pretty specifically that they were going to do Idris,
- 10:37Speaker 1: which was like, yea, you're bug You're bugging dude. You
- 10:43Speaker 1: want to talk about you want to talk about box
- 10:45Speaker 1: office appeal to so many people, Idris is a great
- 10:51Speaker 1: you know, we would have more of a fucking box
- 10:52Speaker 1: office appeal than Edriss Elbow Donald motherfucker fath On. No, no, no,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I don't want to no less. To be honest about it,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I think, come on, you need to put that show
- 11:00Speaker 1: on your whiteboard. Star Wars nonsense. You want to be
- 11:03Speaker 1: James motherfucking Bond. You gotta be British to be James
- 11:07Speaker 1: James A day of Shoon Bond, Well, it would be
- 11:10Speaker 1: dope if James Bond was a Nigerian. Uh that moved
- 11:14Speaker 1: to I made that A lot of Nigerians in the UK. Baby,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I'm just putting it out there. A lot of West
- 11:22Speaker 1: Africans out there, y'all. I'm just putting it out there.
- 11:25Speaker 1: We get into this, baby, why don't we count in
- 11:28Speaker 1: box six seven eight about show? We made a lot
- 11:33Speaker 1: of bunch of nurses. The stories so yetto around Yere yeadoo,
- 11:45Speaker 1: around Yere. Funny episode, very fun. I cried at the
- 11:54Speaker 1: end of this episode. I was my removed. My wife
- 11:57Speaker 1: cried at the end of this episode, clutching my pearls.
- 12:01Speaker 1: She who directed this? By the way, who do you think?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Fucking Chris Cotch? The g fucking mc daddy? Wow, he
- 12:09Speaker 1: did such a great job. And who speaking of directing accolades,
- 12:12Speaker 1: did you hear that I'm nominated for Director's Guild of
- 12:14Speaker 1: America Awards? You didn't heard. I did not hear about this.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Through all the emails and texts and stuff that I saw,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I did not hear about this. Turned my key. I
- 12:30Speaker 1: gotta tell you guys, to be sentimental for a second.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I really really really was moved by this. I you know,
- 12:37Speaker 1: for those of you not in the industry, the Director's
- 12:39Speaker 1: Guild of America. The DGA is the union for directors
- 12:43Speaker 1: in both televis directing television and film, and not just
- 12:47Speaker 1: the director as the leader of the film set, but
- 12:50Speaker 1: all of the assistant directors that work with the director
- 12:53Speaker 1: to execute everything. And so it is the ultimate version
- 12:58Speaker 1: of an acknowledgement from your peers. So I certainly didn't
- 13:02Speaker 1: think when I directed the second episode it said last
- 13:05Speaker 1: so that it would have the reaction it did. And
- 13:07Speaker 1: I just assumed, oh, if they nominate Tad last, so
- 13:09Speaker 1: they'll nominate the pilot because it's the first episode. But
- 13:12Speaker 1: my episode sort of kind of showed that the show
- 13:15Speaker 1: would have some heart and emotion and drama and and heartbreak,
- 13:21Speaker 1: and I don't know, I was so I was very
- 13:23Speaker 1: truly shocked. But I haven't haven't been able to wipe
- 13:27Speaker 1: this smile off of my face. I'm so happy about it.
- 13:29Speaker 1: It's so amazing, buddy, It's so amazing, dude. The fact
- 13:32Speaker 1: that your peers are the ones that nominated you too, Yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 1: really awesome, man. And I got really awesome texts from
- 13:39Speaker 1: directors I really love, and just awesome support from from
- 13:43Speaker 1: the community, And yeah, I just I don't know. I'm
- 13:45Speaker 1: very I'm just very proud. I'm so proud. I told you,
- 13:49Speaker 1: I always told you, buddy, you're a really good actor.
- 13:52Speaker 1: But you know what you are, you know what you
- 13:53Speaker 1: do best, you know where you shine best. Because when
- 13:56Speaker 1: you're directing, man, very very very good. It's storytelling. Thank you,
- 14:01Speaker 1: very good at it, and writing too, you shine there too,
- 14:05Speaker 1: very good at storytelling man. And this is a fact.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And I I am so happy that the DGA has
- 14:13Speaker 1: stepped up and said, you know what, Donald Fazon is right,
- 14:18Speaker 1: does tell great stories. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Why it's all ever all I truly ever wanted to
- 14:24Speaker 1: be was a director. I'm so thrilled and blessed. And
- 14:28Speaker 1: it's grateful that I had this acting career, but not
- 14:31Speaker 1: but and to be able to work as a director
- 14:36Speaker 1: and not alone, let alone, have the d GA say, hey,
- 14:40Speaker 1: we chose five directors who we thought made the best
- 14:43Speaker 1: comedy episodes this year and you're one of them. That's
- 14:46Speaker 1: just really fucking cool. And I'm younger me wouldn't even
- 14:50Speaker 1: believe that it happened. So there you go. There it is.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Fairy tales can come true. It could happen to you.
- 14:58Speaker 1: That's if you're young at art. I am young in heart,
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah you are. I don't look about turned forty six,
- 15:04Speaker 1: do I look at No? I look like kid. I
- 15:07Speaker 1: remember where Casey turned thirty when she was walking around
- 15:10Speaker 1: telling everybody when we went out that we were forgot.
- 15:14Speaker 1: She was like, I just turned thirty and I looked
- 15:16Speaker 1: like I'm twenty six, So I'm fine. The show is
- 15:23Speaker 1: very funny and very moving, and for those of you
- 15:26Speaker 1: playing along at home, it's episode four twelve, My Best Moment.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And you know the structure of this is the classic
- 15:35Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence structure in which you're there's all these seeds
- 15:40Speaker 1: laid through the episode about the theme being what was
- 15:44Speaker 1: your proudest moment as a doctor? What's one of your
- 15:46Speaker 1: best memories? And we cut lots of people's favorite memories
- 15:50Speaker 1: and then only to find in the end when they
- 15:52Speaker 1: saved the day that this this saving of this one
- 15:56Speaker 1: patient on Christmas has become their favorite moment and they
- 15:58Speaker 1: all tell it from a different perspective, and it was
- 16:01Speaker 1: really moving, you know. Just by the end, I had
- 16:03Speaker 1: goosebumps all over my body, and Donald I cried, my
- 16:07Speaker 1: wife cry, like I wasn't uncontrollably crying. But it was like, wow,
- 16:11Speaker 1: this is I am fucking emotional right now because of this,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and you know, and it has so many I think
- 16:20Speaker 1: what helps is that it has so many funny moments
- 16:24Speaker 1: in it. Like even when we start off, you carrying
- 16:28Speaker 1: JD carrying Turk and talking about and Turk telling him
- 16:32Speaker 1: about how he has to do surgery in front of
- 16:36Speaker 1: the you know, the family members, and how you turned
- 16:40Speaker 1: it into a movie where the white family isn't saying anything,
- 16:44Speaker 1: they're just staring, but the black family is like, Oh,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you're gonna find a tuma back there. I know you're
- 16:49Speaker 1: gonna find a tumba up. Oh that's that tuma. And
- 16:53Speaker 1: then we address and then you go, you go, did
- 16:55Speaker 1: you go to the blood? Did you go to the
- 16:58Speaker 1: Black family? Watching a movie? Staring type in your fantasy?
- 17:01Speaker 1: And I'm like like a beard of honey. Yeah, all right.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna say one thing, what I've been to so
- 17:10Speaker 1: many movie theaters before in my life. I'm a connoisseur
- 17:14Speaker 1: of theaters like in Times Square, which is probably quite
- 17:18Speaker 1: an experience. And I grew up in Times Square that
- 17:20Speaker 1: that's my actual neighborhood is Times Square where I grew up,
- 17:26Speaker 1: so I guess that the stereotype has a basis in
- 17:28Speaker 1: reality or not. No, it's real. It's it's true, you know,
- 17:32Speaker 1: it's definitely true. That's it's not a stereotype. This is honestly,
- 17:36Speaker 1: at least, I take it back. I take it back.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's fact. For at least when I was growing up
- 17:42Speaker 1: and experiencing going in seeing movies in African American UH
- 17:48Speaker 1: communities like the Apollo Theater, like the Apollo Movie Theater
- 17:51Speaker 1: in Harlem and and all of these others. I went
- 17:54Speaker 1: and saw School Days at the Apollo Movie Theater in Harlem.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And let me tell you something right now, when they
- 17:59Speaker 1: were doing step shows, people jumped up from the audience
- 18:03Speaker 1: and there was like this little stage on the side,
- 18:05Speaker 1: and we're doing step shows with school Days and Spike
- 18:07Speaker 1: Lee joined by the way, y'all, we're doing the steps
- 18:10Speaker 1: with the people in the movie, with Laurence Fishburne and
- 18:13Speaker 1: and John Carlo Esposito and and and Titia Campbell and
- 18:18Speaker 1: come and all of these people doing it, you know
- 18:21Speaker 1: what I mean, doing it on screen and in the audience.
- 18:25Speaker 1: It's an experience and it's a lot of fun, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: it's easy. It's easy to make fun of. But I
- 18:30Speaker 1: have a cushion. Do you have to be in the
- 18:31Speaker 1: mood for I mean, I've only I haven't not had
- 18:34Speaker 1: this experience. But I imagine if it was the right movie,
- 18:37Speaker 1: I would be laughing my ass off at people participating
- 18:41Speaker 1: Alliance the wrong movie. I'd be so annoyed. I'd be like,
- 18:44Speaker 1: please shut up, go ahead, I'm just sitting it lake. Listen,
- 18:49Speaker 1: if you're going to a certain movie theater where you
- 18:51Speaker 1: know that's prominent, even if it's a movie where you
- 18:54Speaker 1: shouldn't be doing that. I saw Precious on the South
- 18:57Speaker 1: Side of Chicago. That's not a movie where you're supposed
- 19:00Speaker 1: to react. But would I tell you, like the whole
- 19:04Speaker 1: audience was it like we hear you girl, now, rude? Rude.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Somebody brought Harold's chicken in and so when she goes
- 19:12Speaker 1: to KFC, they were really mom on out. Like also,
- 19:14Speaker 1: dream Girls, which is a movie you absolutely should react at.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It was great, like people singing with Danif it's just
- 19:20Speaker 1: it's it's it's a different way to watch a movie.
- 19:22Speaker 1: So if you're in the mood because you know, i'n't
- 19:24Speaker 1: going to film festivals and stuff, and sometimes you're like
- 19:26Speaker 1: I want to sit and like absorb this movie. This
- 19:29Speaker 1: is a different form of entertainment. It's like you're there
- 19:31Speaker 1: as much to see the movie as you are to
- 19:33Speaker 1: see the audience, and that's what makes it like a
- 19:34Speaker 1: fun experience. I went and saw Back to the Future. Yes,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and let me tell you something right now, I never
- 19:43Speaker 1: laughed so hard at the commentating on how stupid George
- 19:48Speaker 1: McFly is. Dude, this is a guy who goes on
- 19:52Speaker 1: to make millions of dollars after Martis, his son, saves
- 19:57Speaker 1: his freaking marriage, he goes on to make millions. I've
- 20:01Speaker 1: never seen more people freaking laugh at his stupidity in
- 20:05Speaker 1: my life. When freaking he can't put together, when he
- 20:09Speaker 1: finally puts together what the plan is between him and
- 20:12Speaker 1: Marty and freaking what they're gonna do to Lorraine at
- 20:16Speaker 1: the dance, and he's like, you're gonna go and you're
- 20:18Speaker 1: gonna touch her. You're gonna touch her, and somebody in
- 20:21Speaker 1: the audience finally yelled her nipples George, and the whole studio,
- 20:26Speaker 1: the whole audience laughed so hard. I imagine if the
- 20:30Speaker 1: people yelling out shit are genuinely funny. I mean, it's
- 20:34Speaker 1: just I don't know. It's a bizarre I mean, this
- 20:36Speaker 1: is such a like an experience I never had and
- 20:40Speaker 1: I would like to have. But I imagine if the
- 20:42Speaker 1: people who are yelling shit out are funny, then it
- 20:43Speaker 1: would be a good time. It's the best, it's the best.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You gotta be the right movie, though. You got to
- 20:47Speaker 1: pick the right movie because it can be. It can
- 20:49Speaker 1: be any movie. You just have to be in the movie. Now.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It can't be in a movie that you know, a
- 20:54Speaker 1: drama that you want to like get lost in. Right,
- 20:56Speaker 1: don't go to fucking don't go and watch a movie
- 20:58Speaker 1: that she said she watched fress But that works though,
- 21:02Speaker 1: that works for that, that works, man. Look think about it, man.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Tyler Perry has made millions offered plays that really have
- 21:13Speaker 1: great audience participation. It might not be them on the
- 21:17Speaker 1: stage and stuff like that, but they feel like they're
- 21:19Speaker 1: living what's going on stage. Man, And he went and
- 21:22Speaker 1: did it. And the way he did it was he
- 21:25Speaker 1: took it to small venues where he could pack the
- 21:28Speaker 1: audience with African American church people and they can listen
- 21:34Speaker 1: to one the gospel two so they're learning, they're learning
- 21:38Speaker 1: a lesson two. Uh, they can listen to things that
- 21:42Speaker 1: they you know, they can experience situations that they can
- 21:45Speaker 1: relate to. You don't get that when you go to
- 21:48Speaker 1: the movies and you're black and you see all of
- 21:50Speaker 1: these white movies. Man, that's all that's that's all that's
- 21:52Speaker 1: out there. Man. You don't get that shit in real life.
- 21:55Speaker 1: But Tyler Perry provided that and so people. So because
- 21:58Speaker 1: of that, that's why you have these media movies and
- 22:01Speaker 1: stuff like that, because we can relate to stuff like that.
- 22:04Speaker 1: He started something and we were like, oh shit, that's funny.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Now now I want to be as rich as Tyler Perry.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I wish I would have gotten on board back in
- 22:15Speaker 1: the day. I'm sorry I did it us. I wish
- 22:20Speaker 1: I would have not being and not being in this stuff.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But I wish I would. I wish I would. I
- 22:26Speaker 1: wish I would have seen I would have seen. I
- 22:28Speaker 1: wish I would have seen his vision. I wish I
- 22:30Speaker 1: would have I wish I would know. He's employed. Absolutely,
- 22:35Speaker 1: he's employed so many African American actors. It's ridiculous how
- 22:38Speaker 1: many he's employed. Like, he's employed more than Hollywood has.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I'd say, by now you know what I mean He's
- 22:44Speaker 1: put so many people into great positions and now some
- 22:49Speaker 1: of them are movie stars. Real talk, real talk? Am
- 22:52Speaker 1: I wrong? Where's the line? I know? Because I'm so
- 22:57Speaker 1: passionate about this? Now, where's the lie that whiskey? Though?
- 23:02Speaker 1: I never knew that. I never knew you were so
- 23:04Speaker 1: passionate about mister Perry. I just I appreciate what he's
- 23:08Speaker 1: done as an African American actor, and and and not
- 23:11Speaker 1: being able to see all you know what I mean,
- 23:13Speaker 1: like I hear not being able to see people like
- 23:16Speaker 1: me in movies growing up. I appreciate him, and I
- 23:21Speaker 1: think he's a very inspirational story because you know, everyone
- 23:24Speaker 1: was passing on a ship, no one wanted to make it,
- 23:26Speaker 1: no one would give him a dime, and he built
- 23:29Speaker 1: a fucking empire, empire on his own and uh and
- 23:34Speaker 1: and now as his own studio and backlot and and
- 23:37Speaker 1: he's just incredible, incredible inspiration. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, all right,
- 23:42Speaker 1: let's get back to the episode. It's crazy how this
- 23:45Speaker 1: all stemmed from African American people in movie theaters. Man, Listen,
- 23:51Speaker 1: everyone admires how on topic we stay. I laughed when
- 23:57Speaker 1: I'm lecturing these med students. And do you think I'm
- 24:01Speaker 1: giving them medical advice. But no, I'm just telling about
- 24:04Speaker 1: which product of hair moose I use I wrote that
- 24:08Speaker 1: down with the special hair. Yeah. And then they cut
- 24:12Speaker 1: U and I toss him the gel or whatever it is,
- 24:15Speaker 1: and when they cut back to him, his hair is
- 24:16Speaker 1: just perfect like mine, all like it starts off. He
- 24:21Speaker 1: needs a haircut, real bad. I didn't know the gel
- 24:23Speaker 1: trimmed it down to the perfect height. I don't know
- 24:26Speaker 1: what I didn't know. The jail miraculously also gave him
- 24:29Speaker 1: a haircut. But we'll take it. This is the should
- 24:33Speaker 1: we should mention that this is the Christmas episode. Also, yes,
- 24:36Speaker 1: it is a Christmas episode and has a very warm
- 24:38Speaker 1: Christmas message at the end, Um, I'm bragging. What is this?
- 24:43Speaker 1: Bragging about having sex with a grandma? Oh so then
- 24:46Speaker 1: there's this flashback where I'm there's like a what do
- 24:50Speaker 1: you call a guilf a hot grandma? Yes, well yeah,
- 24:54Speaker 1: that's that would be a guilt. Yeah. So there's this
- 24:57Speaker 1: guilf and jd um is bragging that he delivered a baby,
- 25:01Speaker 1: but it's actually Mickhead who did the delivery. Yeah, no,
- 25:05Speaker 1: it was his best moment. That would be laughing at
- 25:07Speaker 1: Danel you never heard guilt before. No, it's just every time,
- 25:11Speaker 1: it's just funny. Yes, a guilt, of course, there are
- 25:15Speaker 1: a lot of young guilts out there, there are. I
- 25:17Speaker 1: don't think i've ever I don't think I've ever encountered
- 25:19Speaker 1: a guilt. I've met several young guilts. I've met women
- 25:23Speaker 1: who I've met women who had kids at a young age,
- 25:27Speaker 1: had or had a kid at a young age, and
- 25:29Speaker 1: then their kid had a kid at a young age,
- 25:31Speaker 1: and that made them a guilt because you look at them,
- 25:34Speaker 1: you were like, oh snap, you a grandma. Right, I'm sure.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I'm sure there's plenty of guilts. I'm sure there's plenty
- 25:43Speaker 1: of guilts. I just don't know that I've met a guilt. Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Oh really, so you've encountered gilts? Absolutely? Yes, Okay, all right, Daniel,
- 26:00Speaker 1: have you encountered a guilt? But I have encountered a guilty?
- 26:04Speaker 1: You never look. There's there art, There are beautiful women
- 26:09Speaker 1: all around. I don't say they're not beautiful. I'm a
- 26:12Speaker 1: guilt means you want to have sex with that woman,
- 26:15Speaker 1: You desire her sexually, and she's a grandma. That has
- 26:18Speaker 1: not happened to me yet. I'm sure it will. I
- 26:19Speaker 1: look forward to it. There are a lot of young
- 26:23Speaker 1: women out there who are grandma. Just put it out there.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Guilt doesn't have to be a guilt doesn't have to be. Look,
- 26:30Speaker 1: let's put it this way. It's not saying. It's not saying,
- 26:32Speaker 1: but that's a beautiful woman. It's saying, I want to
- 26:35Speaker 1: put my penis in her. Oh, I don't want to
- 26:37Speaker 1: put my penis in That's what fucking guilt stands for.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Ass neck. I thought held on the ils is, you
- 26:49Speaker 1: know you guilph is not? Oh, what a pretty older woman?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Guilt is. I want to lay my peep beside her,
- 26:59Speaker 1: but not on the side. I want to and I
- 27:02Speaker 1: want to drape my peep on her. It has to be. Oh,
- 27:07Speaker 1: I didn't know the end part. That's new when you
- 27:09Speaker 1: write that down, I don't. Okay, I take that back.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I get off this topic. I have not met a guilt. Yeah,
- 27:16Speaker 1: I didn't think. Oh, listen, we're forty six. We're probably
- 27:22Speaker 1: gonna meet some guilts along the way. But I haven't.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I have yet to meet a guilt. I take it back.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I thought we were talking about hot grandma's That's right, alright,
- 27:32Speaker 1: let's get back on topic here, let's get off. Let's
- 27:34Speaker 1: get off. We still want to say we're on the
- 27:36Speaker 1: right topic. That has everything to do with the show.
- 27:38Speaker 1: J D had sex. Oh yeah, and then I do
- 27:40Speaker 1: sort of a victory punch. I don't know what that
- 27:42Speaker 1: was about. Did you see that? I did a little like, yeah, oh,
- 27:44Speaker 1: I know what it is. It's a gift that I've seen.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I'm at the lectern, and the gift of me doing
- 27:50Speaker 1: sort of like a victory punch. Um, I've seen that before,
- 27:53Speaker 1: so that's why I wanted to point it out. I
- 27:55Speaker 1: don't think that's the first time. I don't think that's
- 27:56Speaker 1: the last time you do that either, though. No, but
- 27:58Speaker 1: I mean that particular one. I think there's there's like
- 28:00Speaker 1: Christmas decorations and I'm standing in a lecturn. I've seen
- 28:03Speaker 1: that one before. Like it's like a good gift if
- 28:05Speaker 1: you need to say, like you are using lecturn really well,
- 28:08Speaker 1: I just sort of like the word lecturn. Do you
- 28:10Speaker 1: remember in your school down you like, um, maybe you
- 28:13Speaker 1: were a theater techie geek like I was, but your
- 28:17Speaker 1: school would have that thing, right, it was a it
- 28:19Speaker 1: was a speaker on a cart and then this part
- 28:22Speaker 1: would flip down to make a lecturn and it had
- 28:25Speaker 1: a mic and I was on the AV. This is
- 28:28Speaker 1: how fucking dorky I was, you guys, I was so
- 28:32Speaker 1: proud to be on the AV squad. Now you might
- 28:36Speaker 1: be like, what's an AV squad? Yeah? Do you remember?
- 28:39Speaker 1: When you do? You remember when someone would someone really
- 28:42Speaker 1: fucking cool would roll into your into your classroom, like
- 28:47Speaker 1: a film strip or or one of those machines that
- 28:50Speaker 1: would go BIEP and you'd change the fucking slide, or
- 28:55Speaker 1: or even you know a TV with a VCR. Remember
- 28:59Speaker 1: these people? Oh yeah, that was me. I was part
- 29:01Speaker 1: of the A V team. My hear. That's that's how
- 29:07Speaker 1: badly I wanted to be in a film. I was like, oh,
- 29:10Speaker 1: so I get to wheel, I get to look like
- 29:13Speaker 1: fucking Fonsie wheeling this projector into the classroom. The girls
- 29:17Speaker 1: are going to think I'm so cute, as I thought
- 29:22Speaker 1: it was just because you wanted to get out of class. No, no, no, no, no,
- 29:25Speaker 1: no dude, I thought. I thought when I was setting
- 29:30Speaker 1: up a bit of a V gear that I looked
- 29:32Speaker 1: really cool. I figure, if you said I'm on a
- 29:36Speaker 1: V squad, you could use it to get out of class.
- 29:38Speaker 1: A couple of times, like if your teacher was like
- 29:40Speaker 1: if your teacher was ever like if your teacher was
- 29:42Speaker 1: ever like, mister Braff, you miss class. You could be like, well, oh,
- 29:47Speaker 1: mister Patterson, I had an av assignment I had to
- 29:51Speaker 1: take care of in such and such as class, and
- 29:54Speaker 1: jim or and you could lie and it would take
- 29:57Speaker 1: a while for that lie to catch describing a different child.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I'm telling you that I was like, look, how fucking
- 30:04Speaker 1: cool I'm gonna look wheeling in this VCR. You are
- 30:08Speaker 1: absolutely right, you were a dork. You were a dork,
- 30:11Speaker 1: but it's a specific type of dork. It's like because
- 30:15Speaker 1: I wasn't like a calculus dork. I was a fucking
- 30:17Speaker 1: like theater techie geek door. But that's a good. Okay,
- 30:23Speaker 1: that's good. Remember I'll tell you I've never even told
- 30:26Speaker 1: anyone the story, and maybe it's not even interesting anyone.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But do you remember the old school giant like public
- 30:31Speaker 1: school lighting boards. They weren't know nowadays they're all computers,
- 30:34Speaker 1: but like you know, the giant levers. And I just
- 30:37Speaker 1: thought that was the coolest fucking thing I'd ever seen.
- 30:39Speaker 1: And I would like I would sneak into the theater,
- 30:42Speaker 1: like some kids are cutting class to go smoke cigarettes
- 30:45Speaker 1: behind the fucking school. I was sneak in the theater
- 30:48Speaker 1: and when no one's looking, play with the giant leavers.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I was like yes, I was like, I bring this
- 30:58Speaker 1: giant leaver up in all the lights come up on
- 31:01Speaker 1: the stage like Jay, you know, at William j Oshay
- 31:08Speaker 1: I S forty four. That was the only place where
- 31:12Speaker 1: we had where I've ever experienced an auditorium. After that,
- 31:15Speaker 1: I was in private school and we ain't at the
- 31:17Speaker 1: gym was the auditorium. This was the only time in
- 31:21Speaker 1: public school I US forty four in New York City
- 31:23Speaker 1: on seventy seventh Street. In Amsterdam, I used to sneak
- 31:27Speaker 1: into the freaking auditorium behind the stage and fuck with
- 31:32Speaker 1: the big But there they were only on the stage.
- 31:36Speaker 1: There were none in the audience because the freaking auditorium
- 31:38Speaker 1: was so big, right, the freaking thing is so big.
- 31:41Speaker 1: So there's the projector at the top and of the
- 31:44Speaker 1: of the the big light, the spotlight at the top,
- 31:48Speaker 1: and that's it that one person got to operate. And
- 31:50Speaker 1: then there were alrea these set lights that you could
- 31:52Speaker 1: freaking different colors. I remember this so I go, there'd
- 31:56Speaker 1: be a lever that was like a full stagewash of blue,
- 31:59Speaker 1: and I just be like, eat, this might be the
- 32:02Speaker 1: one thing that we have in common from high school,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I mean from junior I did it in junior high school.
- 32:09Speaker 1: This might be the one thing that we have in
- 32:10Speaker 1: common when I just think it's so funny and I've
- 32:12Speaker 1: never told the story and it's hilarious that you were
- 32:14Speaker 1: doing the same thing. But while other kids were like
- 32:16Speaker 1: cutting class to go do like real like trouble, like
- 32:19Speaker 1: get into trouble, I was like sneaking into the theater
- 32:22Speaker 1: to play with the theater lights. Dude, I was doing
- 32:25Speaker 1: but I was, And I was like, I hope I
- 32:26Speaker 1: don't get caught the fact that we've never had this
- 32:30Speaker 1: conversation before either that I did it as a kid
- 32:33Speaker 1: because my parents were a part of a theater in
- 32:35Speaker 1: the National Black Theater, right uh And they had this
- 32:39Speaker 1: whole lighting system there too, and I used to sit
- 32:41Speaker 1: in the freaking booth and watch the light guy do
- 32:45Speaker 1: the light queues and stuff like that. And there were
- 32:47Speaker 1: times where I would have to be the light que
- 32:50Speaker 1: guy because like you know, there would be uh am,
- 32:55Speaker 1: like they would do stand up nights. So like the
- 32:57Speaker 1: Uptown Comedy Club, all of these things that made it
- 32:59Speaker 1: to television started at my theater that my parents were
- 33:04Speaker 1: a part of when I was growing up, and so
- 33:09Speaker 1: I remember, uh messing having to do the lights there.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And so when I went to school at a very
- 33:16Speaker 1: young age, I thought, I'm so fucking dope because I
- 33:19Speaker 1: can do the lights at the theater. I can do
- 33:21Speaker 1: this shit at the school too. I should you. But
- 33:24Speaker 1: you were enjoying being a light board. Absolutely, that's the best.
- 33:28Speaker 1: We missed out on the thrill of wheeling in a
- 33:30Speaker 1: projector bro. I didn't want to do that. It looks
- 33:34Speaker 1: like the board looks the things look like you're pushing
- 33:38Speaker 1: the Millennium fall. I was waiting for this to circle
- 33:45Speaker 1: around to something Star Wars. The light board handles reminded
- 33:48Speaker 1: you of the Millennium valcum, it did? I do remember that.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That was really cool, man. You know it's funny nowadays,
- 33:53Speaker 1: you know theater lighting is all programmed into a computer
- 33:56Speaker 1: and literally someone just sits there and hits a button
- 33:59Speaker 1: because it's all been pro program And that's fine, it's
- 34:01Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. But there was such an art to
- 34:04Speaker 1: doing it back in the day when you were literally
- 34:07Speaker 1: adjusting different things live on the fly, and it was
- 34:10Speaker 1: kind of like I imagine being a DJ in a
- 34:12Speaker 1: sense that you had to be like at the right
- 34:14Speaker 1: moment this had to happen. Then you had to not
- 34:16Speaker 1: forget to do that and like it was, it was
- 34:18Speaker 1: I don't know, I fucking loved it. Anyway, We're gonna
- 34:20Speaker 1: go a break and when we will talk more about
- 34:21Speaker 1: the television show Scrubs when we come right back and
- 34:31Speaker 1: we're bad and we're bad Todd's I think Todd's storyline
- 34:37Speaker 1: his his. I think the best His is the best one.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I think him and Cox have the best one. Yes,
- 34:42Speaker 1: so Todd Miracle five's a patient back to life. Yes,
- 34:46Speaker 1: in his mind he does, or he thinks. Isn't his
- 34:48Speaker 1: miners at reals? He One thing I understand about all
- 34:51Speaker 1: these memories everyone's having is like they're they're supposedly real stories. Yes,
- 34:57Speaker 1: it has Sarah rides a pony to work. It's not
- 35:00Speaker 1: a fantasy. That's not a fan that. That was very
- 35:02Speaker 1: weird too, Like they literally walk into Sacred Heart Hospital. Yea,
- 35:12Speaker 1: but yeah, she's not even tying off the pony outside
- 35:14Speaker 1: of the ring. No, no, no, no, no, riding it in.
- 35:16Speaker 1: She's riding it inside. She's gonna ride it all the
- 35:19Speaker 1: way to I see you because she has to do
- 35:21Speaker 1: rounds with this pony once she gets to work. I
- 35:25Speaker 1: don't understand. I guess she's gonna do rounds with the pony.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I had a little trouble with the fact that Todd
- 35:32Speaker 1: both Todd High five someone back to life and Sarah
- 35:35Speaker 1: wrote a pony to work as part of her commute,
- 35:37Speaker 1: and they were not fantasies. Yeah, yeah, um, but everybody
- 35:44Speaker 1: Todds was funny. Todd's was very funny, man. Yeah, but
- 35:47Speaker 1: everybody's fantasy was kind of like, like what was Kelsel's.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I mean, what was Kelso's fantasy? He's on the He's
- 35:56Speaker 1: on the all right, he's on the vacation. You know.
- 36:00Speaker 1: It's a funny little tidbit, you know. So um. You know,
- 36:03Speaker 1: sometimes when you're an actor, you're doing the scene, they'll
- 36:05Speaker 1: just be like, all right, before the lines, just we
- 36:07Speaker 1: need you guys to chatter. You know, You're just you're
- 36:09Speaker 1: just shooting the shit and and wait till the camera
- 36:11Speaker 1: lands and then we'll get into the scene. So Ken
- 36:14Speaker 1: in this moment is just chatting up some beautiful ladies
- 36:17Speaker 1: because he's at a retreat for Plomax, the pharmaceutical company.
- 36:21Speaker 1: And what what you hear? Can I'm assuming improvs are
- 36:25Speaker 1: these two women? Is well, I can't do this all
- 36:27Speaker 1: on my own? Really? Is that? What you notice that?
- 36:31Speaker 1: I didn't notice that he couldn't he and there was
- 36:35Speaker 1: three of them too, He could mean yeah, no, no,
- 36:40Speaker 1: I get what he says, but it's it's appropriate because
- 36:43Speaker 1: he's saying I can't do the three of you ladies
- 36:46Speaker 1: by this old man can't do the three of you
- 36:48Speaker 1: ladies on his own. Oh, I didn't even think of that.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I just thought of his like. I don't know if
- 36:53Speaker 1: Bill or someone said, you know, add this line or what,
- 36:56Speaker 1: but it's of all things that he's flirting with, he's
- 36:59Speaker 1: using the pickup line, I can't do this all on
- 37:01Speaker 1: my own because he knows where it's going. Well, that
- 37:06Speaker 1: was very funny, and I love the running gag of
- 37:08Speaker 1: Plomax being like the pharmaceutical, the evil pharmaceutical. It's just
- 37:13Speaker 1: sending as they do, sending doctors on trips to the Caribbean.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I laughed at Elliott being scared of tiny hands. That
- 37:22Speaker 1: very funny. That shot of her looking down at the
- 37:24Speaker 1: tiny hand. That made me laugh. Really, what about Um
- 37:28Speaker 1: Deonte with his dreads? I didn't see Deonta is that? Oh? Yeah?
- 37:33Speaker 1: Deonte Donald stand in slash our friend. Um always makes
- 37:37Speaker 1: cameos here and there, and he was an orderly with
- 37:41Speaker 1: newly discovered beautiful dreads. Oh good for him. Um, what
- 37:45Speaker 1: about the flashback? One of the funniest l ols in
- 37:48Speaker 1: the episode is are you getting Model? Yeah? It was
- 37:54Speaker 1: so well done. It looks like Super eight film, and
- 37:56Speaker 1: it's like you're panning around the room. You're panning around
- 38:00Speaker 1: the room and everyone's making out, everyone's making out, And
- 38:03Speaker 1: then you get to the couch and I'm sitting there
- 38:05Speaker 1: with the most glorious mullet and this girl turns from
- 38:09Speaker 1: her man that she's making boy that she's making out with,
- 38:12Speaker 1: and just sneezes in my face and then comes goes
- 38:15Speaker 1: back to making out. Yeah, and someone's like, mono, I
- 38:18Speaker 1: thought the only way to get that was from kissing.
- 38:20Speaker 1: And they showed the fantasy and they cut back and
- 38:22Speaker 1: I go, no, there there are other ways. This will
- 38:26Speaker 1: pay dividends When Jad has a child wight Uh Elizabeth
- 38:34Speaker 1: Elizabeth Banks in the future, Um, this joke comes back around.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I want to talk about something else. You mean, because
- 38:40Speaker 1: of there was what was it like, there was fire
- 38:44Speaker 1: friendly there? Let's just say there was. I don't remember
- 38:47Speaker 1: there was there was fire in the in the general area,
- 38:52Speaker 1: outer regions or something. That speech is fucking hilarious. I
- 38:57Speaker 1: can remember. I remember laughing so hard trying to trying
- 39:00Speaker 1: to deliver the line. I remember that. I think I'm
- 39:02Speaker 1: saying it to you and Judy, right, and you're it's
- 39:04Speaker 1: all three of us. It's all three of us. You
- 39:06Speaker 1: guys like you guys like yeah, you say you didn't
- 39:10Speaker 1: do to such a How are you telling me you
- 39:14Speaker 1: got her pregnant and you never had any course? Yeah, yeah,
- 39:17Speaker 1: something like that. Um, this is something I want to
- 39:20Speaker 1: talk about. This joke didn't make sense, and this is
- 39:24Speaker 1: the first time it's ever happened. Elliot asks Laverne, what
- 39:30Speaker 1: are you doing this weekend? And Laverne says, minding my
- 39:34Speaker 1: own business? How about you? She wasn't really minding her business.
- 39:40Speaker 1: If she asks what about? What if Elliot's doing? What
- 39:43Speaker 1: was Elliots doing? I think she might be overthinking. I
- 39:45Speaker 1: think she's just being a classic Laverne sassy. But why
- 39:48Speaker 1: did she Okay, I'm just saying, mind in my own business.
- 39:53Speaker 1: If you mind in your own business, you know what
- 39:54Speaker 1: you do after that, you keep it moving real Laverne
- 40:01Speaker 1: is means sometimes Yeah, Elliott was just being friendly, but
- 40:05Speaker 1: so was she. She wound up. It was clear that Laverne,
- 40:07Speaker 1: that's just her thing and that's how she is with
- 40:10Speaker 1: with her friends. Yeah, unless I'm going to see my
- 40:12Speaker 1: nephew play Pip and who's he playing? But I'm not
- 40:19Speaker 1: even doing it right because you got to have the
- 40:20Speaker 1: face of like, how dare you even ask? You think
- 40:23Speaker 1: my nephew is in the ensemble? Right, he's pippin motherfucker pivot.
- 40:32Speaker 1: That was my one of my favorite Alma reads that
- 40:35Speaker 1: she just goes Pip. Oh wait, first, this is the
- 40:44Speaker 1: big one. This is the inaugural it's beard Falset. We
- 40:48Speaker 1: hadn't said beard Face yet either, though I know. This
- 40:51Speaker 1: is his first line. This is his first line. This
- 40:54Speaker 1: is the first time we ever addressed that there's a
- 40:57Speaker 1: character named beard Face. Yes, and then he says no,
- 41:01Speaker 1: it's pronounced beard fasse. And then for the rest of
- 41:04Speaker 1: the show we call him beard Face. It's the stupidest
- 41:06Speaker 1: slash funniest joke. Now, I think we've settled in that
- 41:10Speaker 1: Beard Fusse. Maybe I've had some feedback from people on
- 41:13Speaker 1: my Instagram account because I've I've been really troubled by
- 41:16Speaker 1: the fact that Beard Fesse is so often in the pharmacy.
- 41:20Speaker 1: And someone commented that an anesthesiologist might often be in
- 41:25Speaker 1: the pharmacy but also in and around all of the
- 41:29Speaker 1: other many rooms of the hospital. So and then when
- 41:32Speaker 1: I saw Beard Fasse in your room, I thought, oh,
- 41:36Speaker 1: maybe he's an anesthesiologist. Okay, well, I want to say
- 41:40Speaker 1: this then, if we're going to talk about Beard Fasse.
- 41:44Speaker 1: We once had a trivia conversation, or not a trivia
- 41:49Speaker 1: but we were wondering what Beard Fessse was in. And
- 41:52Speaker 1: I thought it was a James Bond movie and you
- 41:54Speaker 1: and you turned out you turned it turned out to
- 41:56Speaker 1: be a Fincher movie. A Fincher the direct girl with
- 41:59Speaker 1: the drag tattoo. That's still that's still starred the star
- 42:04Speaker 1: of James Bond. Yes, oh, you're probably around. In the
- 42:08Speaker 1: initial conversation, absolutely, and comes back to Daniel Craig. It
- 42:13Speaker 1: all comes back to Daniel Craig. I wonder if Beard
- 42:16Speaker 1: Fasse got to hang out with Daniel Craig or if
- 42:19Speaker 1: he was just like too shy to approach him on them.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I remember exactly where it was too. It's on a plane.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I don't think Beard, I don't think. I don't think
- 42:27Speaker 1: Beard Fasse is that shy in real life. Like I remember,
- 42:31Speaker 1: he was a gregarious fellow. He Remember he was a
- 42:35Speaker 1: very good artist. He was a cartoonist. Okay, he would
- 42:38Speaker 1: draw I believe he he had this thing. I think
- 42:42Speaker 1: it was where he would draw cats in cartoons and
- 42:45Speaker 1: he would call it cattoons instead of cartoons. Oh wow,
- 42:49Speaker 1: you know. And they were good too, Like he was
- 42:53Speaker 1: a good artist. He is a good artist. I still
- 42:55Speaker 1: every now and then talked to Mick Head. Frank, you
- 42:59Speaker 1: should ask him about he talks about has all of
- 43:04Speaker 1: like he listens to the show, and it would be
- 43:08Speaker 1: a great I think it would be a great pleasure
- 43:11Speaker 1: to have him, Frank. Yes, dog Snoop dogg manly, I
- 43:17Speaker 1: think we should have them on the show. Can you
- 43:19Speaker 1: organize that please? We've been talking about that could be
- 43:21Speaker 1: not an episode. We'll be a conversation with background performers
- 43:25Speaker 1: who became foreground performers on the show. Scrubs and we'll
- 43:29Speaker 1: get like the three or four that the core, Deonte
- 43:36Speaker 1: Manly who was Snoop Dogg, M Beard Fact whose name
- 43:40Speaker 1: I forgot. I'm so sorry, Um. And we should try
- 43:43Speaker 1: to get. We should try to get we should try
- 43:45Speaker 1: to get I'll talk to Frank, but we should really
- 43:48Speaker 1: try to talk to Uh Katia, Renee Rabbidu and Deontay
- 43:53Speaker 1: also because they lived the exact same lives that we did,
- 43:57Speaker 1: but it never got filmed. They did the exact same
- 44:00Speaker 1: Just to remind everyone, those were the standings that at
- 44:03Speaker 1: the four of us had and we spent them. They
- 44:07Speaker 1: would have to do all of the walk and talks
- 44:09Speaker 1: and everything that we did, but it never got put
- 44:12Speaker 1: onto film in any way. And they were awesome and
- 44:16Speaker 1: they were an awesome group because we spent all the
- 44:19Speaker 1: time with them and we had so many fucking great
- 44:22Speaker 1: laughs with those people. Yes, I think that would be
- 44:25Speaker 1: really awesome. Well that's another show. Yeah, we could do
- 44:28Speaker 1: an episode that's like a conversation with our standings and
- 44:31Speaker 1: we can bring in um, like you said, Renee Katia
- 44:34Speaker 1: Scott Rabidu, Um and if they and if they turn
- 44:37Speaker 1: out to be and if they turn out to be duds,
- 44:40Speaker 1: then we'd never air them. That's simple, that's simple, they
- 44:44Speaker 1: would be duds. They're funny. I remember laughing our asses
- 44:46Speaker 1: off with those guys. Yeah. I always laugh with Deante.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I laugh a lot with Frank too. How about how
- 44:52Speaker 1: JD comes into the ICU with an ice cream cone? Um,
- 44:57Speaker 1: I mean like like the doctor is coming into the
- 44:59Speaker 1: ice with ice going and then when someone's like, oh,
- 45:02Speaker 1: give me oh, I think it's Judy. She's like, oh,
- 45:03Speaker 1: you brought that for the little boy, and I'm like yeah, sure,
- 45:08Speaker 1: and I give it to him and I go it's
- 45:11Speaker 1: a waffle cone, like so Forloren. So Forloren that I've
- 45:17Speaker 1: given him away my fucking waffle going to a child.
- 45:20Speaker 1: And what's what's what's really crazy is that you're not
- 45:23Speaker 1: Jady's not sympathetic about it either, after he watched the
- 45:26Speaker 1: kid come in with his dad who's sick. You know kids.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Probably the kid probably gave me the idea that I
- 45:32Speaker 1: wanted an ice cream call, that you wanted the ice cream.
- 45:34Speaker 1: And then I'm come into the room off hockey like
- 45:36Speaker 1: I got my ice cream cone, and Judy's like Carla's like,
- 45:39Speaker 1: oh that's so sweet. You got him. I dream going.
- 45:40Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, it's a waffle cone. Like it's almost
- 45:47Speaker 1: to say like I spent extra money. I spent extra
- 45:50Speaker 1: money for that waffle cone. That was plus fifty cents
- 45:55Speaker 1: for that waffle gone. Oh boy, um um, all right,
- 46:01Speaker 1: we got we got um stealing the old woman's dentures
- 46:05Speaker 1: and wearing them around my neck. That's gross growths. Now,
- 46:11Speaker 1: this weird gum thing, I give you her gum. I
- 46:13Speaker 1: read on scrubs Wiki that there's I guess there's a
- 46:16Speaker 1: deleted scene where we the gum has a totally different storyline,
- 46:19Speaker 1: Like I thought it was something else and it turns
- 46:23Speaker 1: out to be bad taste and gum, and then I
- 46:26Speaker 1: don't know, we changed what the gum was about in
- 46:29Speaker 1: post production. I think, oh, well that you noticed that
- 46:32Speaker 1: the gum has Asian writing on it? Yeah, I did
- 46:34Speaker 1: see that. Apparently there's a deleted scene on one of
- 46:37Speaker 1: the DVDs, which we should We should get into those two.
- 46:41Speaker 1: How funny would it be to look at that shit? Joel, Joel,
- 46:43Speaker 1: we should have an episode called Zack and Donald look
- 46:46Speaker 1: at Deleted Scenes. Okay, I love it, here goes. Hold on,
- 46:50Speaker 1: let me just tell you what this says here. Um,
- 46:52Speaker 1: the denture gum that JD tries to tempt Turk with
- 46:55Speaker 1: has Chinese writing on it. This is explained in a
- 46:57Speaker 1: deleted scene available on the DVD, which show is that
- 47:00Speaker 1: it was originally intended to be what JD thought was
- 47:02Speaker 1: eggnog gum, remember, and he bought it in Chinatown, only
- 47:07Speaker 1: to realize that it was in fact egg gum. That's hilarious.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I wonder why it didn't fly. I don't know, but um,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I want to say, I want to ask this question
- 47:22Speaker 1: to the three of you. Go ahead, because we never
- 47:27Speaker 1: meet this character, but this character has always talked about
- 47:31Speaker 1: Kelso's son. Yeah, who he's definitely and is definitely an
- 47:36Speaker 1: out gay man. Who could have played Kelso's son if
- 47:40Speaker 1: you had to choose Andrew Reynolds. Andrew? Who's Andrew Reynolds? Oh,
- 47:45Speaker 1: Andrew Reynolds. You know Andrew Reynolds? Um, skateboarder? Am I
- 47:52Speaker 1: saying his name right? He was? He was the star
- 47:54Speaker 1: of Book of Mormon, which broke him. Um and uh um,
- 48:00Speaker 1: he's in the prom recently. I know who you're talking
- 48:03Speaker 1: about now, I don't know who. I don't know him
- 48:05Speaker 1: to show you his picture I know who you're talking about.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I don't know his name, though, let me show you
- 48:09Speaker 1: his picture. He's very talented. He was on Girls, he
- 48:11Speaker 1: was in Girls. He was on Girls. This guy, yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I know exactly. His name is Andrew Reynolds. Yeah, Andrews. Yeah. Sorry, sorry,
- 48:22Speaker 1: sorry I heard. I first saw him on Broadway. You
- 48:26Speaker 1: took me to see that show? I did, Yeah, you
- 48:28Speaker 1: took me. Then I seen in my life and then
- 48:31Speaker 1: I this this guy Andrew Reynolds, who I know a
- 48:34Speaker 1: little bit in his a sweetheart, has the sist voice
- 48:37Speaker 1: and is so talented, and you know, I just I
- 48:41Speaker 1: just think he's so talented. That was the first person
- 48:42Speaker 1: that came to mind. We flew to New York because
- 48:45Speaker 1: you were like, we gotta see you were there already,
- 48:48Speaker 1: and you you were like, fly to New York. I
- 48:50Speaker 1: got tickets for this play. I flew to New York
- 48:52Speaker 1: with Casey. This is back when we were making money.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I flew to New York with Casey to watch Book
- 48:58Speaker 1: of Mormon with you and we had a night out
- 49:00Speaker 1: on the town after and everything like that. And it
- 49:03Speaker 1: was it was I think it was like theater appreciation
- 49:06Speaker 1: week and everybody was trying to raise money and so
- 49:08Speaker 1: at the end of the show, after the bow, Josh Gad,
- 49:12Speaker 1: this was my first time being like, let me stop you,
- 49:15Speaker 1: let me stop you. Not in theater bridge they do
- 49:17Speaker 1: this campaign for AIDS. Uh okay, thank you. They fund
- 49:21Speaker 1: raised money for AIDS and it's a certain time every
- 49:24Speaker 1: year the theater community. After the bow, all the shows
- 49:28Speaker 1: compete who can raise the most money for this Aid's
- 49:31Speaker 1: charity and they and they they stop after the bow
- 49:34Speaker 1: and say, Okay, we're gonna come around with buckets. This
- 49:36Speaker 1: is for a great cause. We want to win sy
- 49:38Speaker 1: This is my first this is my first experience of
- 49:44Speaker 1: how cool of a person Josh Gad was. In front
- 49:46Speaker 1: of the whole theater. He campaigns for the money and
- 49:50Speaker 1: he did it in such a great way after this
- 49:53Speaker 1: really freaking funny show. He did it in such a
- 49:55Speaker 1: great way that I wanted to give money uh to
- 50:00Speaker 1: the cause. And so when he did, wish I was
- 50:04Speaker 1: here all like my first time meeting Josh. That was
- 50:08Speaker 1: the one thing I could think about was Wow, this
- 50:10Speaker 1: dude knows how to command a room. And it was
- 50:15Speaker 1: it was I just remember going to see that play
- 50:18Speaker 1: with you because you were like, we have you have
- 50:21Speaker 1: to see this play. It's so good and it was
- 50:23Speaker 1: life changing. Man. It was one of those things where
- 50:25Speaker 1: it was like Broadway could do that. I didn't know
- 50:27Speaker 1: that Broadway could be that because they do some outrageous stuff.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Have you guys seen The Book of Mormon? Daniel, yes, Joel? Yeah?
- 50:34Speaker 1: Did you see it with Josh gadd and Andrew? Yeah?
- 50:37Speaker 1: Unfortunately now I laughed my ass off on that show. Dude.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. It's rare that you do this.
- 50:44Speaker 1: There's I can name the shows where I went out
- 50:46Speaker 1: and bought the soundtrack right after five guys named Mom
- 50:50Speaker 1: the Book of Mormon, and that's it. Those are really
- 50:55Speaker 1: the only ones that I've ever done it with five
- 50:58Speaker 1: guys named Mo and the Book of Morning, and on Sarafina.
- 51:00Speaker 1: When I saw Sarahina, I would and bought chuck it
- 51:04Speaker 1: your way. And so those are the three. Can you
- 51:10Speaker 1: remember yours? Or did you buy all of them? Oh?
- 51:14Speaker 1: And I bought the Mulan Ruge right after we saw
- 51:15Speaker 1: the Mulan Rug. When we went and saw the Mulan Ruge,
- 51:17Speaker 1: I would have brought that new one too. That shit
- 51:19Speaker 1: is fire, dude, That ship is fire. Listen all ye
- 51:24Speaker 1: you're talking about the theater soundtrack. Yeah, when you went, Yeah,
- 51:31Speaker 1: I went and bought that the next day. I bought
- 51:34Speaker 1: it because of my favorite number. There's two numbers in
- 51:36Speaker 1: it that I love, one freaking chandelier and two royals
- 51:43Speaker 1: to the two best performances in the show. My opinion. Yeah,
- 51:47Speaker 1: that was a great show. I think that might survive COVID.
- 51:52Speaker 1: A lot of people from that show got COVID, didn't they. Yes,
- 51:57Speaker 1: well I am. I'm really uh hoping that Broadway comes
- 52:02Speaker 1: When Broadway comes back, I'm hoping that some of those
- 52:06Speaker 1: big shows are able to survive. In a handful of
- 52:09Speaker 1: them just had to close, and I'm hoping that some
- 52:12Speaker 1: of those ones like that one and are able to survive.
- 52:15Speaker 1: It would be great if Broadway can come back stronger. Yes,
- 52:20Speaker 1: we all, we all miss it. Those of us who
- 52:21Speaker 1: love it miss it, and maybe well, well we need
- 52:23Speaker 1: to support it more than ever. If you're a theater
- 52:25Speaker 1: lover in order to help resuscitate this, this precious industry,
- 52:29Speaker 1: we're all going to have to go see lots of plays,
- 52:31Speaker 1: which I will do. I wanted to say, I got
- 52:35Speaker 1: full body goosebumps at the It's embarrassing that I gave
- 52:39Speaker 1: myself goosebumps, But I did when my character right before
- 52:43Speaker 1: the commercial break goes, why are you sick? There was
- 52:47Speaker 1: just something about it that was goosebumpy. That's good. The
- 52:52Speaker 1: mystery of the mystery of these people who are have
- 52:54Speaker 1: such good intentions, who are just sitting there trying to
- 52:57Speaker 1: solve the mystery like all of these amazing real life
- 53:00Speaker 1: heroes do every day. And I just I don't know.
- 53:03Speaker 1: I found it. I found I was moved by myself.
- 53:06Speaker 1: I have a question, go, did you remember this episode? Um,
- 53:13Speaker 1: anything in this episode at all? Did you remember anything
- 53:15Speaker 1: in this episode at all? Um? Not much. No, I
- 53:22Speaker 1: didn't remember one ounce of this episode, not an ounce
- 53:26Speaker 1: of not not even a smidgeon of it. And that's
- 53:29Speaker 1: why I think, and that's why I think it Like
- 53:31Speaker 1: I thought, we didn't do any more themed episodes like
- 53:34Speaker 1: Christmas or the Thanksgiving or those type of episodes anymore
- 53:38Speaker 1: after the third season. Yeah, I don't really remember. I
- 53:41Speaker 1: think I remember the weird lady with their with their
- 53:43Speaker 1: dentures of seat through the Venetian blinds. I didn't remember
- 53:47Speaker 1: any of it. I think that's why I was so
- 53:49Speaker 1: moved at the end, because it caught me off guard.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Let's talk about how fucking funny it is when Sarah
- 53:55Speaker 1: slams the door on the crying med student. I laughed
- 53:59Speaker 1: out loud, read too. He's giving the little kid a tour,
- 54:03Speaker 1: and she's like, I used to hide in here, and
- 54:05Speaker 1: she opens it up to reveal like the you know,
- 54:07Speaker 1: the brand new med student crying because he's had he's
- 54:10Speaker 1: watched The Death or something. She's like, hang in there,
- 54:13Speaker 1: hanging there, and then she like slams the door closed.
- 54:16Speaker 1: She's like, suck it up. I'm trying. Um and then
- 54:22Speaker 1: um that funny sequence where Cox's favorite memory is the
- 54:26Speaker 1: double himlick. Yeah, that's that. Like I said, the Todd
- 54:30Speaker 1: and Cox have the two best The double himlik is
- 54:34Speaker 1: pretty awesome. And you know the first yeah, you know
- 54:38Speaker 1: who the first time, like was that Jared. Yeah, it
- 54:40Speaker 1: was one of our one of our PA's office pas.
- 54:43Speaker 1: I believe was his job at first. He probably he
- 54:45Speaker 1: probably got I think I think he's an executive now
- 54:49Speaker 1: where he produces shows. I'm sure he does, but back
- 54:51Speaker 1: in the day, he started as an office PA and
- 54:53Speaker 1: then worked his way up. But that's the guy Cox's
- 54:56Speaker 1: first time looking. Then the gum goes into the gum. Yeah,
- 55:00Speaker 1: it was gum goes into a jumps from his mouth
- 55:04Speaker 1: to another random woman's mouth. Then he runs over. He
- 55:06Speaker 1: gives her the Heimlich maneuver, and then that goes into
- 55:08Speaker 1: the garbage swish swish into the basket over the garbage can,
- 55:12Speaker 1: which he's missing when he's shooting it with his hands.
- 55:15Speaker 1: He's missing with the paper, but he does it with
- 55:17Speaker 1: the Heimlich maneuver and the gum. How about when fucking
- 55:20Speaker 1: Sarah is talking to you in French and you go
- 55:23Speaker 1: and your French, I haven't I have a thoughtful tower
- 55:26Speaker 1: and my pants? Yeah, And then she goes, she says
- 55:28Speaker 1: something else, and you just gompla grapefruit. Grapefruit. That's all
- 55:34Speaker 1: you know is that's all you know is I have
- 55:36Speaker 1: an Eiffel tower in my pants and grape fruit. That
- 55:39Speaker 1: was very funny. And then uh, Kelso with a heart.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Kelso has a heart. That was that first of the
- 55:49Speaker 1: first times Kelso has a heart. Not only that, it
- 55:51Speaker 1: was so it was so it was so offsetting that
- 55:55Speaker 1: even Kelso has to comment, it's you know, the person
- 55:58Speaker 1: that he's talking to, this really doctor Kelso. He goes, yes,
- 56:01Speaker 1: that's really doctor Kelso. Yeah, that little kid warms his heart,
- 56:05Speaker 1: and he decides to let his father stay in the
- 56:07Speaker 1: hospital even though he doesn't have insurance. Well, his kid
- 56:10Speaker 1: reminds him how much he loves his son too. You know,
- 56:13Speaker 1: he loves his gay son as much as he makes
- 56:15Speaker 1: fun of his son. Yeah, as much as he makes
- 56:18Speaker 1: fun of him. The little boy reminds him of the goodness.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Make that face of my little puppy so cute. Are
- 56:25Speaker 1: we gonna break? And I'm gonna have a guest. We'll
- 56:27Speaker 1: be right back and we're bad back at fake doctor's
- 56:40Speaker 1: real friends. Let's welcome. Not tell your artis mad clear,
- 56:51Speaker 1: definitely not her name, not Daglia, Madaglia, Madaglia. Let's welcome
- 56:58Speaker 1: to tell you artes Medaglia, Ortiz, Medaglia or tez Ortiz.
- 57:05Speaker 1: What is it the program? Thank you guys, Thank you
- 57:17Speaker 1: Joel for picking me this week. Thank you you made it.
- 57:21Speaker 1: You made it, You made it. By the way, Joel,
- 57:22Speaker 1: has there been any incoming mail so far to the date?
- 57:26Speaker 1: Joel Monique Gmail. Yeah, there's a couple of letters in there.
- 57:30Speaker 1: I haven't opened them yet, so I don't know. You're
- 57:34Speaker 1: you're eyeing, you're eyeing them, Joel, you're just eyeing them right. Well, listen,
- 57:37Speaker 1: I want to remind everyone on the live show, which
- 57:40Speaker 1: is going to happen m March twenty sixth, right, Joel,
- 57:43Speaker 1: that's the date, Yes, March twenty sixth, and um, we're
- 57:47Speaker 1: gonna have a segment called uh, I want to Date
- 57:50Speaker 1: Joelle Monique and um, if you'd like to apply to
- 57:53Speaker 1: be one of Joelle's suitors, you send an email to
- 58:00Speaker 1: date Joel Monique at gmail dot com. That is correct,
- 58:05Speaker 1: and her name is spelled j O E L L
- 58:07Speaker 1: E m O n I q u E so um
- 58:12Speaker 1: so so slide into her um uh email uh and
- 58:16Speaker 1: write a very romantic and appropriate message and maybe you'll
- 58:20Speaker 1: be selected to be one of the candidates on Date
- 58:23Speaker 1: Joel Monique. But enough of that, Zach, Let's get to Natalia. Okay, Natalia,
- 58:28Speaker 1: how are you welcome? Good Joel, I actually might have
- 58:32Speaker 1: someone for you. He's my my goodness. I gotta put
- 58:36Speaker 1: his hat in the rink because he's just like the
- 58:39Speaker 1: most awesome human being in the world. He loves Star Wars.
- 58:43Speaker 1: I have like movie quote like you know, trivia. How
- 58:47Speaker 1: does he feel about jazz cabbage? He does Joel love
- 58:55Speaker 1: it first Inhale. We've set the bar. So you like
- 59:01Speaker 1: game over, Well, I'm sorry, but down to get you
- 59:06Speaker 1: the first date. Listen, listen. You gotta have some common
- 59:10Speaker 1: there's levels to this. There's levels. We gotta have common interests.
- 59:13Speaker 1: The guys gotta love puppies, star Wars and weed or
- 59:16Speaker 1: it's or the guy or gal sorry or this is
- 59:18Speaker 1: a non starter. So we just need to know the basics.
- 59:21Speaker 1: And that's how you're saying you may have a candidate.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Well let's get him. Let's get him into the into
- 59:25Speaker 1: the website. I mean, let's get him into the email box.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Give him the email adject. All right, I'm all right, um, Natalia,
- 59:34Speaker 1: do you have a question for us? Go ahead, I
- 59:37Speaker 1: do actually have a couple of questions. You get to
- 59:40Speaker 1: pick one. You get to pick one question. I'm gonna okay,
- 59:43Speaker 1: Well see you don't agree. I'm of the school just
- 59:45Speaker 1: audience that um that we we should The calls are
- 59:50Speaker 1: getting no offense to un tell you, this is before
- 59:52Speaker 1: we met you. The calls are getting a smidge in long,
- 59:55Speaker 1: and we should do one question, and Donalds might be
- 59:58Speaker 1: on the fence and say no, I prefer the two
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: questions thing, right, Donald, Yeah, Well, we'll let the audience decide.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: If the audience says, you know what, guys, you fuck
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: the whole show up. Go back to two questions. We will,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: but natality, you're going to be our pilot program of
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: one question you're gonna get okay, all right, So I
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: guess I'll go with the most important one. So I
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: love films since I was eight years old. I've been
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: actually studying it since I was a so like I
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: studied Steven Spielberg, Kubrick and all these other directors. And
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I just have a question for you, Zach, how did you,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: uh like, when you first started directing, did you have
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: like insecurities about it, like when you started, you know,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: when you directed Scrubs, where you like, Oh, even though
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I know these people, I'm a little bit, you know,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: scared about it. I've insecurities when I direct now and
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I've been doing it for a long time. How do
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you overcome that? Well? You um? Um. The way I
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: overcome it, um is being super prepared, being the most
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: prepared person on the set. I have to know more
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: about the script I'm making than anybody else that's there.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: And also having the humility to know that you're not
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: always going to know the answer, that you surround yourself
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: with a team of people that are your brain trust,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: that you can that you can rely on. I can't
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: do this all on my own, right, So it's about
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: it's about bringing on a cinematographer who knows way more
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: about photography than you do, and bringing on an actor
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: or an actress who knows way more about acting than
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you do, surrounding yourself with amazing people and and and
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: they're your support system. You're like, I can't you know,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: not every shot'll be amazing, but I can't fail with
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: this cinematographer. Look at his or her work, it's amazing.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: This actress, oh my gosh, she's incredible if she's saying
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: these words. So so what you do is you you
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: get the best team together that you possibly can. And
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: this could go for a big ass movie or a
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: little short that you're going to make, um you know,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: with your with your friends, as you build your your
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: reel and your resume. It's about bringing on a group
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: of people that will support you in a in a
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: positive way. And this goes for you know, obviously, any
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: endeavor people take on it doesn't have to do with
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: just filmmaking. But if you're going to be the leader,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I would say getting to know the material as as
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: as as well as you possibly can. And then and
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: then having the humility to when a question comes up,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: turning to your team and going, I don't know, does
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: anyone else have ideas? And that's all brainstorm together. Do
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah? No, I got it. Yeah,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: But insecurity doesn't go away. You know. I'm telling you
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: like you're always going to I said the other day,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: and it's true. I get nervous when I'm dialing in
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: to do this podcast because I want to do a
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: good job. I want the show to be fun. I
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: want everyone to enjoy it who's listening all around the world.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: But then then you sort of you you you channel it,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you just step up and do it. I'm I'm willing
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: to bet that Lebron James before he plays basketball still
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: gets nervous. Yeah, I'm willing to bet. I'm willing to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: bet anybody I bet. I'm willing to bet any surgeon
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: before they going to surgery go into surgery, even though
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: they've done it several times, still gets a bit nervous.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: You know. I think that's I think that's a part
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: of you know, who we are as humans. I think
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: that's you know, the fear of failure or the fear
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: of success can be debilitating something. And the fear of
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: the unknown, you know. But yeah, the fear of the
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: unknown can be debilitating sometimes. And it's up to you, Natalia,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: to say, Yo, you know what, I'm gonna step up
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: and I'm gonna conquer this. Whether I fail or succeed,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I'm still going to give my best. Bet Zach's way
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: of doing it. It's perfect. I'm gonna prepare. I'm gonna
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: prepare as much as I possibly can. Not only am
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I going to prepare when I get there, I'm gonna
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: be willing to accept more information so that I can
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: get the best from everybody. Yeah, that's a big thing
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: to do. A lot of people can't do that. A
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: lot of people feel like because I'm the director, I'm
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the boss, and therefore it's my way or the highway. Yeah.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: It never works, it don't. Yeah, I don't find that's
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: a very effective way to It never really works well
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: inspire people. You know. As a director, I think one
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: of the main jobs you have is inspiring people to
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: do their best work. You know, you don't want a
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: set of people phoning it in, like, oh, I gotta
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: fucking work on Antalis movie this weekend. You want a
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: group of people that are like, oh shit, did you
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: reading to tell you a script? It's really good. Yeah,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: h what are we shooting? We're gonna shoot in that bridge. Oh,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: that's gonna be so frecking cool. You want to surround
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: yourself with people that they're as stoked as you are
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: now when you're when you're starting out and you're working
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: on smaller projects that will be your friends and your
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: other and your classmates and whoever else is into it,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: and as you get into under the professional world, you
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: don't want to hire anybody. You want to hire people
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: that that really are believe in in in your project
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: and are stoked about it. Doesn't feel like just to
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: check to them. Of course the check is important, but
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: they're passionate about it, and they and they want to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: and they want to do their best. They're inspired to
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: do their best. And one of the main jobs of
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: a filmmaker is to inspire everybody, is to get everyone
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: riled up and be a be a cheerleader. Right, I mean, yeah,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I get what you mean. I actually I work as
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: like a freelance assistant director and also like a COVID
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: compliance officer. And I've seen so many times like the
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: director kind of like y'all at the ad or yell
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: at me, you know, and it's just like, you know,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: I take it as like, Okay, he's he's stressed out,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: So I like, I already know my job is, so
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: I kind of cool him down. Um. But I mean,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I don't want to say it's unpleasant to work there,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: because like I understand that like the amun a work
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: that carries on to them, you know. But it's also
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: like sometimes it's like, oh, I have to go into this,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: this guy is well one of the best NAT tell
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: you one of the best things, one of the best
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: things I can say that you're already doing that. I
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: recommend anyone that wants to be a filmmaker is as
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: soon and as early as you can work on sets
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: and whatever capacity you know you're working as a COVID
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: compliance person. I've told everyone on the here before I
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: was a PA on music videos and commercials, and the
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: best education four years at Northwestern Film School didn't teach
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: me anything compared to what I learned peeing on music
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: videos at the end of the nineties in Manhattan for
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: like twenty four hour shifts. That's the education. So I think,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: nattell you, since you're an aspiring filmmaker, one of the
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: things that's going to happen is when you're on these sets,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: as it happened with Donald and I on scrubs, I
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: would go, oh, I don't I don't really like the
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: way that person's talking to the crew. I'm not going
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: to be like that. I don't really like the way
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: that that producer is dealing with everyone. When it's my set,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: that shit's not going to happen. So you can you're
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: digesting all of this stuff, and you know, on scrubs
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: it was amazing. We had a different director every week,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: so I would be like, oh, I love this director.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I learned so much from Ooh this director. I don't
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: like the way he talks to the actors. I don't
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: like the way he talks to the DP. I'm gonna
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be like that. So it was all learning,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: all learning, learning, learning, and digesting right right, Yeah, definitely
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: that Actually that helps a lot. Um Thank you, so
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: look at it, even you're welcome, and even when you
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: have a shitty day and someone's being a jerk, just
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: kind of I mean, obviously, if it's crosses a line,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: you fucking report them to HR. But as long as
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: it's like just some somebody being a jerk on set
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: in a normal way. People are jerks at any job,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: you know, just just look at it, like I'm learning,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: I'm digesting. That's not the way I'm going to do
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: it when I'm running my own sets. You know, just
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: look at everything as a learning experience. Well. I graduated
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: US year in May, um, like I had a COVID graduation,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: and like you know, even before, like like working on
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: my little student phones, I saw the way that people were,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: you know, the way the personalities and the way that
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: they were. Like I'm like, okay, I have to kind
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: of learn, like kind of learn how to deal with
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: these personalities. You know. That's how I kind of work
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: with it. And I mean and in my head, I'm like,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: oh my god. If I was if I was like
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: the director and I peeped this, I would have been like, no,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: don't don't do this. No I had um, I had
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: someone who was boom who's you know, booming and like
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: they were talking in the middle of shooting and I
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: was just like I had to take them to the
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: side and be like, I was like, look, I know
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: you don't want to be here, but you know this
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: is our assignment and you know we kind of have to,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: you know, just trying to be uh neutral, you know, um,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: not be bossy because it's hard. But but it's hard
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: because like there's a there's like a lot between being
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: bossy and being like say it, you know, being a
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: what being nice? You have to be a leader. You
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: have to be a leader at the end of the day. Leader.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: A leader isn't always a nice person though too. You
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: must remember that a leader is somebody who can motivate
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: people to do what is necessary to fulfill a task. Right.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: That's a leader. Right, So you don't necessarily have to
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: be all freaking happy, go lucky to get the task done.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: It's preferred that it's that way. But if somebody's having
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: a problem getting the understanding the message that you are
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: sending and is not getting the job done, if all
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: is exhausted, then sometimes you have to be a little
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: bit aggressive with how you explain things that doesn't mean
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: put your hands on them obviously, but it definitely means
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: raising boys, and it definitely means being a little bit
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: of an authoritarian on that parton that Yeah, I think
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of it like I think of it sometimes. Um, sometimes
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: the job is being a coach in a sense that
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: think of the coach getting the impassioned, stern fucking pep
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: talk at halftime. That's what you call it, right halftime. Yeah,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you got it. You gotta halftime speak, you got it. Yeah.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: So so there's times where you, as as a filmmaker,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: um Natalia will need to give people that impassioned you know.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: So it gets a little complicated because I'm a woman,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: you know, I you know, say something or I give
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: a command, and to them it's like, oh, she's being emotional,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: she's being like bitchy. Like there's always those words that
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: kind of like float around. And I've experienced on a
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: set where like I'm I'm you know, I'm I do
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: grip work too. I'm like, you know, guy, the guys
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: would just be like, oh, you're too delicate for that.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: It's okay, you don't have to do that, you know,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: And I just I'm just like I could do it
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: like I couldn't lift school too, So I know I
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: have a ton of women who are especially you know,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: you're very petite, and like petite women are often like
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: You're like they go to lift something, they're like, oh don't, don't,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: I got it. No, mother effer, get off of my stuff,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and my job's like order, this is what I'm doing.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: You're telling me it took a woman's right situation for
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you to freaking say mother effer instead of saying, motherfucker.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Right now, all of a sudden,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: you're gonna get PC, But now the time to be
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: as passionate as a motherfucker for a point to the
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: telly this point, you're trying not to swear at these
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: people because they're your colleagues, right and the Holly. The
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: best advice I got from a woman on set was like,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: remember their names and just do your job. Eventually he
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: will be in a hiring position, right if you're going
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: to be the director, you're gonna be approving your cruise,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: You're gonna be hiring people. Just remember their names, go
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: about your business. There's nothing you can do about it
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: if they don't do what you tell them to be like,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: all right, well, I'm find someone else to do it.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: We have to keep moving. You know, you can't. You
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: can't force someone to do the work, but you can
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: absolutely not hire them when it's time to do that.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: By the way, I love it when I see female
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: grips and electrics. That's they're so the most bad ass
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: ye remembers ever. When they're all geared up with their
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: tools and their belts, they look like badasses. Yeah. That
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: that and camera operators too, Yeah, fer I love it.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I love it. I'm working on a show right now
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: that has hired so many women, and it's very diverse,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: and I'm really happy to be a part of it,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: and and and and so to see that is so
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: fricking awesome because all we're doing is telling stories, and
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: anybody could tell the story. Am I wrong? Why is
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: the lie wrong? All right? But in terms of our
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: all our other genius advice, you're welcome. You're so, you're welcome,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: and we wish you luck and please hire us all
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: one day. By the way, this this fan do a
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: fan art picture of us that Donald and I both
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: put on our stories and it was a really good drawing,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: really talented artist. But then I zoomed in on Donald's
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: growing and I don't know if it's a crinkle in
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: the artcurate. It just shows that the artists chose to
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: give Donald's quite a bulge and did not give any
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: of that attention to my scrubs. Wasn't there a story
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: about some type of CGI around the growing area of
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: a young Donald Phazon? From what I heard from Randall,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Randal didn't bring that up. Randon didn't bring that up.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Randon didn't bring that up. Rand say that this artist,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: if you zoom in like I did on Donald's area,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: he probably did you? Did you? What's the opposite of
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: did you dirty? Did you? Did you? But she or
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: she did me dirty? Yeah? No wrinkle, I got no
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: wrinkle anyway. Anyway, the movie is this, No Dogs, No Chopper. Oh,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: this is the best movie ever. Down down Beverly Hills.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: That's the late Great the Little Richard, Great Little Richard.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Little Richard plays their neighbor and this Beverly Hills, uh,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: you know, neighborhood. And he feels like he's getting treated
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: like shit because he's black, and uh, no choppers and
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the white dogs white, the white family. The white family
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: calls the police, and there's like dogs and choppers and
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: like a swat team, and little Richard comes out, he
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: was I had a burglar in my house. There were
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: no dogs, no chopp do you well have you seen
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: that movie? I have not seen that. Beverly Hills, Joel,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Joel Hills when you got to watch Down and Now
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: on Beverly Hills, And I remember the dad's Richard Dryfuss
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: is the father, and he's amazing, and he's made his
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: money off hangers. And he has this monologue where he's
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: where he screams at his son. He's his son's being ungrateful.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: He's like, it's hangers that clothe you, it's hangers that
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: feed you. It's an amazing movie. I highly recommend it.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I laughed a lot at that movie. And little Richard
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: it's Bett Midler too, right, Bett Middler, Yeah, Bett Midler
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: and Richard Richard Dryfuss, Um, Little Richard Richard, the dog
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: and the dog and the little chopper no stoppers. All right,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: you can stay on on the tale because I think
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: we did it. We did the show. We did it.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: We totally did it. Um. Don't forget to email Joel
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: if you want to be a contestant on day Joel,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: and don't forget to buy a ticket to the live show,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: which is March twenty sixth. Where do they go, Juell
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: to buy a ticket? Oh boy, I want to remember
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: this because it's such a difficult way to say it. Okay,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: you gotta make it simpler on location Live doctor too much?
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Can it be like fake Doctor's live show? Is there
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: a way we can make it so that take this

- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I'm sure if you google that it will pop up.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: But the address is on locationlive dot com, slash product
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: slash Fake Doctor's Real Friends. That's a lot. Okay, listen,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: it is, but I put it in the show notes
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: what it is every episode? Well, can't you do like
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: a link tree thing? Can't you do like a bite
