- 0:00Speaker 1: Foot Baltimore, powered by the Inside of the Birds podcast, which
- 0:03Speaker 1: you can get on all podcasting platforms. That brought you
- 0:05Speaker 1: by the Fanatics Sportsbook, which is where we are today.
- 0:09Speaker 1: And it's a full house in here today, a lot
- 0:11Speaker 1: of people hanging out, a lot of sports going on,
- 0:12Speaker 1: a lot of college hoops early in this morning or afternoon,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I should say, by the way, Flyers have made history
- 0:19Speaker 1: the other night they scored three goals in twenty six seconds.
- 0:22Speaker 1: That was the highlight of the weekend. I did see
- 0:25Speaker 1: that much bigger the fact that the Flyers broke a
- 0:28Speaker 1: record scoring three goals in twenty six seconds, or that
- 0:31Speaker 1: the Eagles had a ninety six percent chance to win
- 0:35Speaker 1: after Dak Prescott's interception. They are the only team in
- 0:38Speaker 1: the league to lose multiple games after leading by fourteen
- 0:42Speaker 1: or more points. They had a fourteen point lead against
- 0:45Speaker 1: the Broncos earlier this year as well. Adam Kaplan is
- 0:49Speaker 1: here to break down the problems at the offense and
- 0:51Speaker 1: the defense had and they've lost a twenty one point
- 0:54Speaker 1: lose lead to the Cowboys. Adam and a team that
- 0:58Speaker 1: had their season on life support, they got a lot
- 1:00Speaker 1: of air infused into their lungs with that when the
- 1:03Speaker 1: Cowboys did What did that loss though, do for this
- 1:07Speaker 1: Eagles season?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Well, Mike, first of all, they lost Drue mccoba uh
- 1:13Speaker 2: to a broken right ankle, and you know, the only
- 1:16Speaker 2: questions we'll be able to come back for the playoffs
- 1:18Speaker 2: if they make a deep run. So that that was
- 1:20Speaker 2: that was obviously one of the really bad things to
- 1:22Speaker 2: come out of this game. As a matter of fact,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Mike red blanket Chip has a left eye injury they're
- 1:27Speaker 2: gonna have to work through. We know Citi Brown will
- 1:30Speaker 2: be the first guy at Mac McWilliams is barely played.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Can play safety if you need him to, Michael Carter,
- 1:34Speaker 2: that will make way more sense. So I told you
- 1:36Speaker 2: at the time of the trade their playing was to
- 1:38Speaker 2: play safety. And Nickel he's played Nickels so far. He
- 1:42Speaker 2: could absolutely play safety. Was a safety at Duke, so
- 1:45Speaker 2: he's an option. But none of them are any good.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I mean Mike and Andrey Sam with the Eagles. You know,
- 1:49Speaker 2: they've they kept him around. They like to develop them,
- 1:52Speaker 2: but they've got problems now. It's safety book has heard
- 1:54Speaker 2: one serious injury. So that's one of the bad things.
- 1:58Speaker 2: In addition to that, awful loss on one point by
- 2:01Speaker 2: but lose it blowing at twenty one point lead.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yeah, well they got it off a twenty one point
- 2:05Speaker 1: lead by obviously uh doing some things well in the offense.
- 2:09Speaker 1: But you know, Dallas did give them. I mean, they
- 2:12Speaker 1: got the running into the roughing the kicker penalty which
- 2:15Speaker 1: really wasn't one, and they capitalized on that, so give
- 2:18Speaker 1: him some credit. They had the interception in the end
- 2:20Speaker 1: zone on a play where blankets you grabbed the guy's jersey.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So even some of their positives were kind of like, eh,
- 2:26Speaker 1: what did what did the offense look like in the
- 2:30Speaker 1: beginning and then kind of trailed off where they didn't
- 2:32Speaker 1: do anything in the end.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Yeah, they looked the running game. Mike. It's just I
- 2:35Speaker 2: don't know what else to say other than to explain that,
- 2:38Speaker 2: and we could go left to right. I'll just do
- 2:40Speaker 2: this again. My lot has not had a good season.
- 2:41Speaker 2: This is not a great game for him. Listen to
- 2:45Speaker 2: Inside the Tape tomorrow with Greg Cossell and I We're gonna,
- 2:48Speaker 2: we're gonna, we're gonna get into deep in discussions about
- 2:51Speaker 2: the offense. Are actually taping the show tonight, and I'm
- 2:53Speaker 2: you know, look it we could talk about the injuries
- 2:57Speaker 2: and Manut Dickerson has not been himself. Remember he had
- 3:00Speaker 2: he had the two surgeries. Now you worry about that.
- 3:02Speaker 2: The lane's out, you know, Lane Johnson. We don't know
- 3:05Speaker 2: exactly when he'll be back. With the list, Fronk Sprain.
- 3:09Speaker 2: You've got Tyler Steen who's in as third year playing guard.
- 3:12Speaker 2: He hasn't played at a particular high level, has been
- 3:14Speaker 2: up and down. And Cam Jurgens is not himself. So, Mike,
- 3:17Speaker 2: if you wonder what what's wrong with Barkley, well, it's
- 3:19Speaker 2: the run game. It's it's their inability to open consistent holes. Now,
- 3:24Speaker 2: is Barkley look as good? No, But it starts with
- 3:26Speaker 2: the offensive line, Mike. It's just their past blocking was
- 3:30Speaker 2: a little bit inconsistent in this game, more good than bad.
- 3:33Speaker 2: But the run blocking, Mike, is just it's a major factor.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It's nothing that we knew like coming, Like a lot
- 3:38Speaker 2: of this, a lot of their'ses we knew about coming
- 3:40Speaker 2: this season. Unfortunately they've happened. But who would Mike, who
- 3:44Speaker 2: would have believed this? Think about this? Mike just doing
- 3:46Speaker 2: the math. Barkley don't pay for only one thousand and
- 3:49Speaker 2: fifty seven yards, which is almost one thousand yards less
- 3:52Speaker 2: than two thousand and five. That was in sixteen games.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Remember he's rested one game, so this is this is pathetic,
- 3:58Speaker 2: Mike I. And yeah, somehow they're eight and three. Really
- 4:01Speaker 2: should have won yesterday. But that look, we'll get to
- 4:04Speaker 2: the penalties a second, but the offensive line has been
- 4:07Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, they're a bottom five run blocking line.
- 4:10Speaker 2: It's hard to believe. And they were lead last season.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Don't explain this to me, like, I have no idea
- 4:14Speaker 2: why it's happened.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Right, I mean that sequel Barkley, the struggles there that
- 4:18Speaker 1: you just talked about, a thousand yards off the pace.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I mean, everybody kind of looking at I won Barkley
- 4:22Speaker 1: off is something wrong with him? They just laid out
- 4:25Speaker 1: the offensive line that I think that the offensive line
- 4:28Speaker 1: at him is almost at the top of the pyramid
- 4:30Speaker 1: and then everything down. I mean, everybody questions Patula, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: I don't think he's great, but he's also kind of
- 4:36Speaker 1: limited in what he can call. If he can't run
- 4:38Speaker 1: the ball, you're taking away half of his offense.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah. I kind of laughed at people wanted the Eagles
- 4:42Speaker 2: to run the ball when they're up twenty one or nothing.
- 4:44Speaker 2: If this is this year, of course, don't let her
- 4:46Speaker 2: throw it. Run it well. The one thing that they
- 4:49Speaker 2: did well in that game has passing. It's just kind
- 4:52Speaker 2: of funny how people think like they they want to
- 4:54Speaker 2: point the finger at Patula like before this game have
- 4:57Speaker 2: at it. We've I hate to say, we've taken them,
- 5:00Speaker 2: just told the truth based solely on tape study and
- 5:03Speaker 2: other clubs that we've talked to, bad scheme that egos
- 5:06Speaker 2: have Offensively, this is how other clubs see it. They
- 5:08Speaker 2: don't know what it really is. Although I like this
- 5:11Speaker 2: game very aggressive early formationally stack releases, bunches, little play action,
- 5:19Speaker 2: God hurts off the rhythm. I love that. I've been
- 5:21Speaker 2: calling for that. Why did it take so long month
- 5:23Speaker 2: to week twelve. Other than a little bit here or there,
- 5:26Speaker 2: they have not gotten into a rhythm. That's on coaching.
- 5:28Speaker 2: This game they did hurts was more good than bad.
- 5:33Speaker 2: There were some times when we held it on the
- 5:34Speaker 2: ball a little bit too long. And then also this
- 5:37Speaker 2: is something we've talked about in the last three four
- 5:39Speaker 2: show through four weeks on Inside of the Birds. The
- 5:42Speaker 2: good thing is completion rate is good. I mean, it's
- 5:44Speaker 2: very good. But the problem is, and this kills run
- 5:47Speaker 2: after the catch. This is only if you watch tape.
- 5:48Speaker 2: You wouldn't know this, or you wouldn't if you're not
- 5:51Speaker 2: talking to people watching tape, you're not watching yourself, you
- 5:52Speaker 2: wouldn't know this most likely. But Hurts has you know,
- 5:56Speaker 2: a half a dozen throws per game where it's not
- 5:57Speaker 2: on the right shoulder, it's not where the ball should be,
- 6:00Speaker 2: and that takes run in for the catch possibilities. So
- 6:03Speaker 2: the pass attempt could be higher instead of relying on
- 6:06Speaker 2: a couple of big shot plays per game to get
- 6:08Speaker 2: his yardage up. They could actually do better if he
- 6:10Speaker 2: could be more accurate where the ball should be should be.
- 6:12Speaker 2: But overall, I no problem with Hurts in the game.
- 6:16Speaker 2: It's it's one perfect. He was fine. He was not
- 6:19Speaker 2: the problem. I don't care what anyone said. He was fine.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Nothing was perfect. He knows what it's got to look like.
- 6:25Speaker 2: He also made one unbelievable throw, which we're going to
- 6:28Speaker 2: talk about inside the tape tomorrow, which is an error
- 6:30Speaker 2: where he's really improved, and that's called anticipation. But Mike,
- 6:35Speaker 2: the fourteen penalties overall, as we move on here, six offensive,
- 6:39Speaker 2: five defensive three on special teams. One more was offset
- 6:42Speaker 2: by the way within fifteenth by a Dallas penalty. See
- 6:46Speaker 2: here's the thing, Mike. You know you talk about Patulo, Okay,
- 6:49Speaker 2: great first half of execution and design and having a
- 6:52Speaker 2: good feel for what's going to work, because Dallas played
- 6:54Speaker 2: a lot of off coverage. Well, Mike, look at the
- 6:57Speaker 2: third quarter. I mean, look how many bad third quarter
- 7:01Speaker 2: legal formation on a twenty yard completion of Goddard. You
- 7:03Speaker 2: can't have that DeVante Smith OPI on the a yard
- 7:07Speaker 2: completion of Goddard. Next play a J Brown legal formation,
- 7:11Speaker 2: Fred Johnson legal hands in the face of the sixty
- 7:12Speaker 2: year Dard completion the Smith. What does that have to
- 7:15Speaker 2: do with Kevin Patula? Like people need to think before
- 7:17Speaker 2: they speak. I kind of laugh, like people will find
- 7:22Speaker 2: anything they can to criticize a coach without having facts.
- 7:25Speaker 2: This is not a Kevin Patula bad Bailey coach game.
- 7:28Speaker 2: You want to talk about other games, There's a lot
- 7:29Speaker 2: to go around. This was not it. How could now?
- 7:32Speaker 2: You want to put it on the head coach. You
- 7:34Speaker 2: want to put it on the offensive line coach, who's great,
- 7:37Speaker 2: But what's wrong with the offensive line this season? Mike
- 7:41Speaker 2: you have all these penalties, Mike, take away yards and
- 7:44Speaker 2: big plays in drives. Well there's your answer. What happened
- 7:47Speaker 2: the second half? No, they didn't need to run the football.
- 7:49Speaker 2: They can't run the football.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Yeah, the fourteen penalties, I don't know the one where
- 7:54Speaker 1: Jurgen's got called for his head moving too fast.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I don't know that I ever see that one. I
- 7:58Speaker 2: didn't see that. I know called it. I did. I
- 8:01Speaker 2: replayed that one. That was the It's funny I went through.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I went, we'll get to defense in a second. Ither
- 8:08Speaker 2: penalties just on TV copy and like TV, you generally
- 8:12Speaker 2: can see. It's one of the things you can see
- 8:13Speaker 2: pretty well on TV. That was the one where and
- 8:17Speaker 2: then see here's the problem. Then the Dallas player points
- 8:20Speaker 2: and then they call the flag. I hate that.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You know, well that one there, yees that he they
- 8:25Speaker 1: said on the rules analyst. Who was it yesterday? I
- 8:29Speaker 1: can't remember was the pre but you know, yeah, I
- 8:32Speaker 1: said that he moved his head too fast. I don't
- 8:34Speaker 1: think I've ever heard that one before. But that being said,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you know, they were sloppy all day. They had so
- 8:39Speaker 1: many penalties. The Goddard penalty, Uh, that was a big
- 8:42Speaker 1: one too. I mean, you had just so many moments
- 8:44Speaker 1: in that game. The Gibson play where he feels the
- 8:47Speaker 1: freaking one. I mean, you have Covey here, who was
- 8:52Speaker 1: a good punt return. That whole story is weird to me.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Why they just don't give him that opportunity again. There
- 8:59Speaker 1: there were so many things. The one thing that you mentioned,
- 9:02Speaker 1: Patullo and everybody kind of question, you're right. I mean
- 9:04Speaker 1: they did have plays yesterday, and you talk about hurts.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I will say the one thing that hurts. He took
- 9:08Speaker 1: that sack was terrible.
- 9:10Speaker 2: That was bad. Yeah, that was bad, and I think
- 9:13Speaker 2: we're gonna be talking to Greg about that for tomorrow show.
- 9:15Speaker 2: On pass protection that I know people want to put
- 9:19Speaker 2: that on hurts. That can't happen. Timing was bad, but
- 9:22Speaker 2: they might have had a pass protection issue on that one.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I have to see. But Mike overall via Fred Johnson
- 9:27Speaker 2: had three penalties. It did Jurgins. It's just the charuggling man.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And it's not like they have anywhere else to go.
- 9:34Speaker 2: They're sounding like they could replace anybody. What are you
- 9:37Speaker 2: going to do here? You Brett's hoath as a starter. Now,
- 9:39Speaker 2: I know he had the one great game, and other
- 9:41Speaker 2: than that, he's not really been productive as an Eagle,
- 9:43Speaker 2: and when he's played, they don't really have any options here, Mike.
- 9:46Speaker 2: They have what they have.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yep.
- 9:48Speaker 2: We thought they'd be better after the buye more consistent.
- 9:52Speaker 2: That does not happen.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Well, And you said at the top, Adam Kaplan everybody
- 9:56Speaker 1: football at four. The offensive lines inconsistency across from left
- 9:59Speaker 1: to right. They're just not the offensive line that went
- 10:02Speaker 1: by the way. This offensive line has been the strength
- 10:04Speaker 1: of this team since, like, you know, twenty forty you
- 10:07Speaker 1: go back to wherever the offensive line has been the
- 10:10Speaker 1: strength of this team. So it's so mind boggling that
- 10:13Speaker 1: they're having so many problems really since Statlin got here,
- 10:17Speaker 1: you know, when he came with Chip. You're going back
- 10:19Speaker 1: to twenty thirteen. That their offensive line has been pretty
- 10:22Speaker 1: darn good all the way across the board. So that's
- 10:25Speaker 1: that defensively, which has been the strength of this team.
- 10:28Speaker 1: And everybody you know, kind of hangs their hat on this.
- 10:32Speaker 1: How would you describe their game yesterday?
- 10:35Speaker 2: Not good? I mean, Mike, it was interesting though. The
- 10:38Speaker 2: tail two has right pretty good for the most part
- 10:41Speaker 2: until they gave up that touchdown. The run defense was
- 10:43Speaker 2: outstanding the first half, bad in the second half. In fact,
- 10:46Speaker 2: they only gave up. Coaches will tell you that they
- 10:49Speaker 2: grade run defense in specific ways. What I've been given
- 10:52Speaker 2: is how many explosive runs. That explosive run is five
- 10:56Speaker 2: yards or more. They only had one in a second
- 10:59Speaker 2: half of first half, Mike, the Eagles gave up. They
- 11:01Speaker 2: gave up seven rushes of five yards and more. Javonte
- 11:04Speaker 2: wives is not explosive. He he's a decisive run. He's
- 11:08Speaker 2: nothing close to the player he was before his Uh
- 11:11Speaker 2: multi Liaku of an injury with Denver, But man, he looked,
- 11:13Speaker 2: he looked good. In this game. They could not get
- 11:16Speaker 2: consistent pressure from Dak Prescott. Prescott torched him the second half, Mike,
- 11:20Speaker 2: and they played. They did a good job against him
- 11:22Speaker 2: the first half. They just were disciplined. Now did Macoba's
- 11:26Speaker 2: injury did blanket ships injury affect him? Of course it did.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Uh At Dorry Jackson, I need to mention that obviously
- 11:33Speaker 2: he had he didn't look great. He had some good snaps,
- 11:36Speaker 2: some bad ones. Stewart's pickens just absolutely destroyed him them.
- 11:40Speaker 2: As as a matter of fact, Mike nine called all
- 11:44Speaker 2: nine targets remember he got hurt late in the name
- 11:48Speaker 2: uh in the three TV Mike, the three DPIs on
- 11:51Speaker 2: one series, Mike, in the second half, I counted another one.
- 11:55Speaker 2: When when when Degene should have could have gotten one
- 11:59Speaker 2: coop struggle when he had I know, it's tough when
- 12:01Speaker 2: there's a sudden change, when you have to go over
- 12:03Speaker 2: permanently at the corner they get you know, you notice
- 12:05Speaker 2: that they didn't they used Ringo. Ringo got a penalty,
- 12:08Speaker 2: he got pulled. They didn't use Jacoryan Bennett that I saw.
- 12:11Speaker 2: So they have so many injuries now on defense with
- 12:15Speaker 2: Jackson with Black and hip with Mkoobah. Jackson with Jackson
- 12:21Speaker 2: has the second cushion of the season, Mike. So it's
- 12:24Speaker 2: a short wake, Mike. Their first injury port comes out tomorrow.
- 12:27Speaker 2: That's I mean, it's they got problems here on defense
- 12:30Speaker 2: and the back end.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Well, and you mentioned, you know, the Bakooba injury, that
- 12:34Speaker 1: that injury happened with like thirty seconds left in the game.
- 12:37Speaker 1: But he's the biggest one because he's going to be
- 12:39Speaker 1: out for out imagine the rest of the year. I
- 12:41Speaker 1: can't imagine he's out for.
- 12:42Speaker 2: The regular season. That's not in debait. It's Kenny come
- 12:44Speaker 2: back for the playoffs. It it'll be hard, Mike. It's uh,
- 12:47Speaker 2: it's unfortunate friendly fire. You know, he got he got kicked,
- 12:51Speaker 2: he got hit in his ankle. It's right ankle. It's uh.
- 12:54Speaker 2: You saw him riving and pain felt really bad from
- 12:57Speaker 2: as As a matter of fact, he's come really coming on
- 13:00Speaker 2: after inconsistent starts. So yeah, it's uh. I think what
- 13:04Speaker 2: you learned Mike in this game is when your past
- 13:07Speaker 2: sharkskin can't get home and you're struggling the back end,
- 13:09Speaker 2: you're in trouble, and that's really what happened.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Well, but the Blanketship injury, that one. I mean when
- 13:14Speaker 1: Sidney Brown went in the game, I think he struggled
- 13:16Speaker 1: big time.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Mike. He did, Mike, Sidney Brown. The shame of it is,
- 13:20Speaker 2: I know people are going to find this hard to believe,
- 13:22Speaker 2: but I'm telling you he played. He started to really
- 13:24Speaker 2: come on. I think it was it was a Giants
- 13:27Speaker 2: game two years ago, to it late in the season,
- 13:29Speaker 2: to his ACLS rookie season, he's never really been the same.
- 13:31Speaker 2: As matter of fact, they've relegated him to the special teams.
- 13:34Speaker 2: He had another special teams penalty yesterday. By the way,
- 13:37Speaker 2: these penalties, Mike, that's on coaching. The ask the players.
- 13:41Speaker 2: They're they're one a on this one. It starts with coaching.
- 13:44Speaker 2: How many times this season in Syrianni City puts it
- 13:46Speaker 2: on him how he coaches them. They're not clearly coaching
- 13:48Speaker 2: good enough. Well, I give him credit for saying that, Mike,
- 13:52Speaker 2: the players have to do a better job. I mean,
- 13:55Speaker 2: I don't know what it was like, contagious Mike. Both
- 13:57Speaker 2: sides of the football it was. It was ben special
- 13:59Speaker 2: team now the other than it's a big time plays
- 14:03Speaker 2: from Hurts A. J. Brown, which is great to see,
- 14:05Speaker 2: DeVante Smith and God it should have had a bigger game,
- 14:08Speaker 2: but he got some balls called back by penalty. Bright
- 14:11Speaker 2: Man was fantastic. Jake Gellich missed fifty six yard and
- 14:14Speaker 2: by the way, I have no problems him kicking it.
- 14:16Speaker 2: The game's indoors. They know what he's capable of. He's
- 14:19Speaker 2: got to hit it, as simple as that.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I actually, well, I will push back a little bit
- 14:23Speaker 1: on that third and two. I didn't like the play call.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I think you can run the ball twice and try
- 14:29Speaker 1: to get the first.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Down and instead of push it. Yeah, push it.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yeah, right, you either toush push it twice or run
- 14:34Speaker 1: the ball on third and see if you can get
- 14:36Speaker 1: two yards where if you don't, you get one yard.
- 14:38Speaker 2: It could right.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Exactly, but like that's the play where they end up,
- 14:42Speaker 1: you know, third down and two. They end up getting
- 14:44Speaker 1: sacked and then they got to settle for the fifty
- 14:46Speaker 1: eight yard field goal and you're like, you're third and two.
- 14:50Speaker 1: But it tells you, Adam, how little they trust their
- 14:54Speaker 1: run game.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Right now, I can't believe what you just said. My
- 14:57Speaker 2: cancapsulate where we are. They are eight three, they have
- 14:59Speaker 2: a time breaker over the Rams, they're game back. There's
- 15:03Speaker 2: still in the driver's seed to be one of the
- 15:05Speaker 2: top two season. They's still have a chance but to
- 15:07Speaker 2: get the number one seed. But it's a tough loss.
- 15:09Speaker 2: It's a short week. Thought to forget about it, injured,
- 15:13Speaker 2: So will we talk? I know, Andrew, go ahead.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Not only you said it's a short week and you
- 15:18Speaker 1: entered this year thinking you're finding the Bears on Black Friday.
- 15:21Speaker 1: This is like no, man, this is like a showcase
- 15:23Speaker 1: game for Amazon to get a cute little game. They
- 15:25Speaker 1: got two first place teams here and if the Bears
- 15:27Speaker 1: win this game. They would have the head to head
- 15:29Speaker 1: and they would pass you.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Mike, it's interesting. When this game came out. I
- 15:33Speaker 2: was like, when this game came out, I'm like, God, well,
- 15:34Speaker 2: it's Ben Chasin's first year. I've always been a fan.
- 15:37Speaker 2: See if you can help Kayleb Williams. Caleb Williams is
- 15:39Speaker 2: so aggressive throwing the football. I can't wait till we
- 15:42Speaker 2: talk a grec O cell who will break down the
- 15:43Speaker 2: state but for a pregame show. But you know, overall, Mike,
- 15:47Speaker 2: when you look at this situation, I know the sky's
- 15:48Speaker 2: falling for Eagles fans because they hate Dallas and it's humiliating.
- 15:52Speaker 2: You know, it's great. I have this picture on my phone.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I took a screenshot of Jerry Jones when they were
- 15:57Speaker 2: down twenty one. Nothing Fox showed him. I mean you
- 16:00Speaker 2: see him like he's rolling his eyes. He can't believe
- 16:03Speaker 2: it because they had the comedy of hers. Mike. It
- 16:05Speaker 2: was one of the strangest games of Eagles Cobedy's history
- 16:08Speaker 2: that I could remember. It went. You know, I picked
- 16:10Speaker 2: the Eagles to win. I thought they could score a lot,
- 16:12Speaker 2: that's the thing. I thought it'd be high scoring, but
- 16:15Speaker 2: Dallas kept growing up in the first half of the
- 16:16Speaker 2: Eagles take advantage, and it was to see how aggressive
- 16:19Speaker 2: Patula was. That was another thing I want to give
- 16:21Speaker 2: him credit for. I've criticized him a lot on our
- 16:24Speaker 2: show in my own way about not being aggressive helping
- 16:28Speaker 2: hers out in the beginning. He did everything I'd asked,
- 16:31Speaker 2: and then the comedy of penalties in the second half.
- 16:34Speaker 2: It's just I don't and by the way, I don't. Well,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I know they have a safety problem and they would
- 16:40Speaker 2: passing the trade deadline, so that's gonna be a problem.
- 16:42Speaker 2: But I still believe they can make a big Super
- 16:43Speaker 2: Bowl run. I still believe that. I'm not a Homer,
- 16:46Speaker 2: as you know, I don't care if the team wins.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I'm not a fan. I'm objective. But this is not
- 16:51Speaker 2: a great year for any the league in terms of
- 16:53Speaker 2: quality of play. The Rams are good, there's no doubt
- 16:57Speaker 2: they're great. Coach of my Chrishulan defense, Mike, but we'll
- 17:00Speaker 2: see what happens. The sky's not falling, folks, take it easy.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I know you're a pad.
- 17:05Speaker 1: It's funny I I would agree with because of the defense.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I do think they're now losing to possibly Tuesday. We'll
- 17:12Speaker 1: see what happens with blanket ship. I would imagine Jackson
- 17:15Speaker 1: doesn't get through the protocol, So you're gonna need a
- 17:17Speaker 1: corner this week. The pass rush, we didn't really talk
- 17:20Speaker 1: a lot about the pass rush, but their pass rush
- 17:22Speaker 1: was not great yesterday. And look, it's been their calling
- 17:25Speaker 1: card the last couple of weeks, but they got no
- 17:27Speaker 1: pass rush yesterday. That was a problem. They're gonna play
- 17:29Speaker 1: a Bears team that has been very good upfront in
- 17:32Speaker 1: recent weeks. Their pass rush was not great yesterday.
- 17:35Speaker 2: In that game, it wasn't. That's surprising, Mike. Yeah, that'll
- 17:38Speaker 2: be a less subject here. Jalen Phelps is no existent.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I'm very surprised they vic Vic did not blitz much.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I don't have the blitzed numbers, but Grekos still sent
- 17:47Speaker 2: me his notes and he said it was it was.
- 17:50Speaker 2: It was a coverage game. They decided they weren't going
- 17:52Speaker 2: a blitz, which surprised me a little bit.
- 17:54Speaker 1: One blitz was Dean and he got to him.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, he does what an unbelievable. By the way, that
- 17:59Speaker 2: was an unbelievable played by Dean. He was a phenomenal
- 18:01Speaker 2: blitzer at Georgia. That was he did it himself. He
- 18:04Speaker 2: threw the guy down, then he got the quarterback. That
- 18:06Speaker 2: was a great play. But look, this is a coverage game.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I didn't agree with it. They got away. Look first half, Hey,
- 18:12Speaker 2: Vic was right. Second half when you're not getting home.
- 18:15Speaker 2: And by the way, they killed them on the crossers.
- 18:17Speaker 2: They as much as the Eagles got the Cowboys on crossers.
- 18:20Speaker 2: By the way, I love that that they finally brought
- 18:22Speaker 2: them back. The Cowboys crushed them on crossers in the
- 18:26Speaker 2: deep middle. They got a problem like in the secondary
- 18:29Speaker 2: right now. And by the way, the Bears pass target
- 18:31Speaker 2: group we're going to talk about this on Wednesday is
- 18:34Speaker 2: super deep. Yeah, it's funny. When we started the season, Michael,
- 18:38Speaker 2: leave you with this. I thought it was a home
- 18:40Speaker 2: game against the Bears. I mean I didn't expect this.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I think everybody did.
- 18:44Speaker 2: By the way, that Bears had six key players on
- 18:46Speaker 2: defense out for this task game, they still beat the Steelers.
- 18:49Speaker 1: All right, Well, we'll be talking all week about this matchup.
- 18:52Speaker 1: In this game and the fallout from the one that
- 18:53Speaker 1: we just watched as Eagles at epic collapse. It's the
- 18:57Speaker 1: twenty one point loss. Second time this year, they have
- 18:59Speaker 1: been up by multiple touchdowns and lost that game in
- 19:03Speaker 1: the second half, and we'll see how they picked themselves
- 19:06Speaker 1: off the matt We'll talk about it here on Football
- 19:08Speaker 1: four with Adam Kaplan. Thanks man, thank you.
