Speaker 2: Well except except in the movie they killed Dick Caller
• 2:25
Speaker 2: in the book, Uh.
• 2:27
Speaker 1: He lives all right. Uh. Stranger Things from Netflix. There
• 2:35
Speaker 1: was a lot of back and forth about whether the
• 2:37
Speaker 1: series finally will be in theaters.
• 2:40
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: The head of Netflix kept saying, well, no, people want
• 2:43
Speaker 1: it on TV. They don't want to go see it
• 2:44
Speaker 1: in theaters. Well, the Duffer brothers said no, people want
• 2:49
Speaker 1: to see it in theaters as well, so they can
• 2:51
Speaker 1: do both. We can do both, just like Kate Pop
• 2:54
Speaker 1: Demon Hunters. We can put both on you know, the
• 2:56
Speaker 1: Netflix and in the theaters. So starting December three, first
• 3:01
Speaker 1: three hundred and fifty theaters will get the series. Finally
• 3:07
Speaker 1: to Stranger Things, let's see now, here's a couple of
• 3:11
Speaker 1: comic books that are being adapted into TV series and movies.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: The first one is called black Hole. Now, this is
• 3:22
Speaker 1: a long time ago. This comic nineteen ninety five and
• 3:25
Speaker 1: two thousand and five. It was a graphic novel, and
• 3:28
Speaker 1: black Hole centers on get this premise a group of
• 3:31
Speaker 1: teenagers who contract a sexually transmitted disease that causes physical mutations,
• 3:38
Speaker 1: you know, puberty. There's an old myth that haunts the
• 3:42
Speaker 1: seemingly perfect small town of Roosevelt. If you have sex
• 3:45
Speaker 1: too young, you'll contract the bug, a virus that literally
• 3:49
Speaker 1: turns you into a monster from your worst nightmares. Absurd, right,
• 3:54
Speaker 1: That's what Chris always assumed until after one reckless night
• 3:57
Speaker 1: at the beginning of the senior year, she finds her
• 4:00
Speaker 1: self infected, and now she'll be cast out into the
• 4:03
Speaker 1: woods to live with the other infected. Are they going
• 4:05
Speaker 1: to be showing this in schools where a chilling new
• 4:09
Speaker 1: threat emerges, a serial killer who's hunting them all.
• 4:12
  Speaker 2: One by one.
• 4:12
Speaker 1: I think they're going to show this in school. So
• 4:14
Speaker 1: this is Netflix has got straight to series on this project.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: It's from Charles Burns did the comic black Hole, and
• 4:24
Speaker 1: Jane Schanbrun who did I saw the TV Glow, will
• 4:28
Speaker 1: adapt the story. And here's another one, another comic book,
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Something is Killing the Children. It was a big bidding
• 4:37
Speaker 1: war Blumhouse one, of course. Is it the measles? Let
• 4:43
Speaker 1: me find the here.
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: It is.
• 4:46
Speaker 1: The idea of a world where children can see monsters
• 4:50
Speaker 1: but adults cannot scary. That's a terrific.
• 4:53
Speaker 2: Idea, which is the real world, isn't it?
• 4:55
Speaker 1: Basically? Yeah, So that's that is coming to your Netflix
• 5:00
Speaker 1: as well. Let's see, you got notice about Fantastic four.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: You know, you still can't rent it. You have to
• 5:08
Speaker 1: buy it. You have to buy it on video on demand, right,
• 5:12
Speaker 1: you can't rent it.
• 5:13
  Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess they're just trying to make
• 5:14
Speaker 2: all the money they I guess.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: So, but they're finally saying on November fifth it'll be
• 5:18
Speaker 1: on Disney Plus, So you know, I guess maybe that's
• 5:23
Speaker 1: why they're not renting it.
• 5:24
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 5:26
Speaker 1: But November fifth for the Fantastic four first steps, and
• 5:30
Speaker 1: here's a movie. This plot, boy, I'll tell you Okay,
• 5:34
Speaker 1: I love this idea Deadline reports Billy Magnuson and Lulu Wilson.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: We'll start in Joe Lynch's new horror movie Buzzkill.
• 5:43
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: They're describing it as a cross between a quiet place
• 5:46
Speaker 1: and another round. The story is set in a small
• 5:50
Speaker 1: Texas town terrorized by a creature that can only be
• 5:55
Speaker 1: seen by people who are drunk.
• 5:59
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 6:00
Speaker 1: Magnuson will star as he recently widowed and recovering alcoholic
• 6:04
Speaker 1: sheriff Red, who launches an investigation as locals begin turning
• 6:08
Speaker 1: up murdered and dismembered one by one, discovering that the
• 6:12
Speaker 1: monster feeds on the blood alcohol content of its victims.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: With the annual brewery festival fast approaching, the whole town
• 6:22
Speaker 1: is about to get wasted, Red must face his demons
• 6:27
Speaker 1: pick up a bottle one last time to take down
• 6:30
Speaker 1: the monster to save it. It's for work to get
• 6:33
Speaker 1: drunk to save the town for good. That's great and
• 6:39
Speaker 1: now a joke for people of a certain age. This
• 6:42
Speaker 1: really should have been a Bob and Doug mackenzie movie. Yeah,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: there you go.
