- 1:06Dr. Robb Kelly: Thank you, Tom.
- 1:07Dr. Robb Kelly: Great to be here.
- 1:08Dr. Robb Kelly: Hey, guys, sit down.
- 1:09Dr. Robb Kelly: This is going to be a good one.
- 1:10Tom Jackobs: Awesome.
- 1:11Tom Jackobs: So the first thing I always like to ask guests, Robb is what is your definition of a heartled business.
- 1:18Dr. Robb Kelly: Giving back.
- 1:19Dr. Robb Kelly: Period, guys.
- 1:20Dr. Robb Kelly: I chased the money for so long and I thought I'd find happiness there, but it doesn't.
- 1:24Dr. Robb Kelly: And what happened is when I led by my heart have five businesses today.
- 1:29Dr. Robb Kelly: Not bad for a homeless guy.
- 1:30Dr. Robb Kelly: But everything is not about the profit.
- 1:32Dr. Robb Kelly: We turn people down all the time.
- 1:34Dr. Robb Kelly: We, 25 percent of our business is pro bono, giving back to the community.
- 1:38Dr. Robb Kelly: And I think once you find that peace within yourself, can start that heart led anything and, with what we know about neuroscience today we can change your thinking.
- 1:48Dr. Robb Kelly: We can change the way achieve or not achieve.
- 1:51Dr. Robb Kelly: And it's just amazing, but it has to come from here first the rest will follow.
- 1:55Tom Jackobs: That's a great definition.
- 1:57Tom Jackobs: So tell us a little bit about your business or all of your businesses and what got you into what inspired you to have a heartled business in the first place?
- 2:05Dr. Robb Kelly: I suffered from addiction and alcoholism as a young kid.
- 2:08Dr. Robb Kelly: Lots of stuff happened, crazy stuff.
- 2:10Dr. Robb Kelly: And at the age of about 25 I became homeless and I lived on the streets sleeping in bus shelters, in parks, stuff like that.
- 2:18Dr. Robb Kelly: And I swore I believe in God, I believe not Bible God or church God.
- 2:23Dr. Robb Kelly: I just believe in Yeshua, God, whatever your name for it, there's an energy out there that connects with my energy of the mind.
- 2:30Dr. Robb Kelly: That seems to work.
- 2:31Dr. Robb Kelly: So I swore to myself when, if I ever get off the streets I'm gonna, I'm gonna set these business up to help people.
- 2:38Dr. Robb Kelly: So we have the rock Kelly group, which basically is we deal with entrepreneurs these days.
- 2:44Dr. Robb Kelly: It used to be all addiction, but it's only 10 percent addiction now is entrepreneurs.
- 2:48Dr. Robb Kelly: with the neuroscience that we know taking them to another level.
- 2:52Dr. Robb Kelly: So if you're earning, I don't know, 200 grand a year, then we'll take, we'll double that.
- 2:56Dr. Robb Kelly: We say we double it straight away.
- 2:58Dr. Robb Kelly: Otherwise it will refund your money.
- 2:59Dr. Robb Kelly: So we, that's this side of the company.
- 3:02Dr. Robb Kelly: We help people.
- 3:02Dr. Robb Kelly: We inspire people.
- 3:04Dr. Robb Kelly: I do lots of TV and books and stuff like that.
- 3:07Dr. Robb Kelly: And then right next door to my offices, I have the English cafe restaurant.
- 3:12Dr. Robb Kelly: Which serves british food through and through you're not finding any american food, even though I like american food So it's pure brit and my sister and brother in law run that but again, it's more about you know we're not as expensive as other restaurants because we believe that if we You know, run it from the heart and not the chasing money part of the mind, then everything will happen.
- 3:35Dr. Robb Kelly: And again, it's done.
- 3:36Dr. Robb Kelly: I have a security company that does private entrances and accesses and cameras for high security buildings.
- 3:43Dr. Robb Kelly: I have the conference, which is the Neuro Hero Conference.
- 3:46Dr. Robb Kelly: I've gone from zero to hero.
- 3:48Dr. Robb Kelly: And then I have a conference company called the Neuro Realtor.
- 3:51Dr. Robb Kelly: Where we train realtors to run your own business, even if you're working for Keller Williams, let's say everyone's individual as a real estate agent.
- 4:00Dr. Robb Kelly: So we do that as well.
- 4:01Dr. Robb Kelly: And, I only work four or five hours a day, would you believe?
- 4:04Dr. Robb Kelly: So you say all that, you go, Oh my goodness.
- 4:06Dr. Robb Kelly: But we have, we employ people that we start everybody Tom on 300 a week.
- 4:12Dr. Robb Kelly: That's it.
- 4:13Dr. Robb Kelly: Want to see your heart.
- 4:14Dr. Robb Kelly: I want to see why you're doing this.
- 4:16Dr. Robb Kelly: I want to see why you've come to us to work for us, and God will try us and test us and throw money at us.
- 4:23Dr. Robb Kelly: And we're just going to be vigilant, which is the right choice for us.
- 4:27Dr. Robb Kelly: And all my staff are the same, we're not money grabbers.
- 4:30Dr. Robb Kelly: We believe we'll be taken care of.
- 4:33Dr. Robb Kelly: We want to help others.
- 4:34Tom Jackobs: That's beautiful too, but having all of those businesses and only working 4 to 5 hours a day, you must have.
- 4:42Tom Jackobs: Really good people and really good processes in place.
- 4:46Tom Jackobs: How did that all come about so that you could only work four or five hours a day?
- 4:52Dr. Robb Kelly: When I first came over to America 18 years ago for two weeks only, I stayed.
- 4:57Dr. Robb Kelly: I chased the money John, and it was okay because I had nothing in England, there was nobody.
- 5:01Dr. Robb Kelly: I came over here, got my first film contract within three months of being here.
- 5:06Dr. Robb Kelly: And I chased the money.
- 5:07Dr. Robb Kelly: If we just get like 10 grand in the bank, if we just get 50 grand, 100 grand, half a million, a million, 5 million, 10 million.
- 5:13Dr. Robb Kelly: I was the unhappy person.
- 5:15Dr. Robb Kelly: I was the saddest person in the world.
- 5:18Dr. Robb Kelly: So we decided to go back to my basics of helping people to get the money.
- 5:23Dr. Robb Kelly: I don't even know how much I have in the bank.
- 5:25Dr. Robb Kelly: I didn't even know how much we charged.
- 5:26Dr. Robb Kelly: I stayed well away from that because I get tempted with that stuff.
- 5:30Dr. Robb Kelly: So I decided to build a business.
- 5:33Dr. Robb Kelly: And this was the first business that Robert Kelly grew.
- 5:36Dr. Robb Kelly: I wanted people, I used to remember Sunday nights like, Oh, I've got work in the morning.
- 5:40Dr. Robb Kelly: So I wanted to build a business where people were counting the hot days and the TGN.
- 5:45Dr. Robb Kelly: I didn't want that.
- 5:46Dr. Robb Kelly: I want people on Sunday night to go, Oh, I'm going to need to work tomorrow.
- 5:49Dr. Robb Kelly: Brilliant.
- 5:50Dr. Robb Kelly: So we're very selective.
- 5:52Dr. Robb Kelly: If you've been through some troubled times, we love that.
- 5:55Dr. Robb Kelly: We're all on board with that, and I, there's a strict process to, to work here.
- 6:00Dr. Robb Kelly: And the bottom line is, again, like I just said, why are you here?
- 6:03Dr. Robb Kelly: Are you here to help people and give everything to people?
- 6:05Dr. Robb Kelly: Or are you here to just earn a paycheck and go home?
- 6:09Dr. Robb Kelly: Because if it's a paycheck you want, I'm sorry, but we're not interested.
- 6:13Dr. Robb Kelly: So we start with people on 300, see the heart, see the passion, and then we pay them what they are worth.
- 6:20Dr. Robb Kelly: To another subject completely.
- 6:22Dr. Robb Kelly: So yeah, that was it.
- 6:23Dr. Robb Kelly: Now they're just helping, helping, helping.
- 6:25Dr. Robb Kelly: There's so many people going through so much trauma.
- 6:28Dr. Robb Kelly: There's so much people going through, starting their own businesses and failing just through lack of knowledge, by the way.
- 6:34Dr. Robb Kelly: It's nothing you're doing wrong.
- 6:36Dr. Robb Kelly: It's just this.
- 6:37Dr. Robb Kelly: Once we get this correct, you can do anything you want to do, guys.
- 6:41Dr. Robb Kelly: And, and when he used to say that some years ago, tell me I can't be president of the United States.
- 6:46Dr. Robb Kelly: Let's forget your political views for a second.
- 6:49Dr. Robb Kelly: We had a business around the country for four years with no political experience.
- 6:53Dr. Robb Kelly: Don't dare tell me you can't build an empire.
- 6:57Dr. Robb Kelly: Don't dare tell me that you can't live your dreams.
- 6:59Dr. Robb Kelly: It's just not true.
- 7:00Dr. Robb Kelly: Somebody's put that there.
- 7:01Tom Jackobs: That's such a great message too, and I'm sure that's part of the coaching that you do with high performers who want to take it to the next level is where are those limiting beliefs coming from?
- 7:11Tom Jackobs: And how do you get over them as well?
- 7:14Tom Jackobs: So that's great.
- 7:15Dr. Robb Kelly: I love that.
- 7:15Tom Jackobs: It's so true.
- 7:16Tom Jackobs: It
- 7:16Dr. Robb Kelly: is he's limited police and from childhood trauma, which is the gateway drug and the ruin to every adult person if you don't sort it out.
- 7:23Dr. Robb Kelly: only takes a little, dad or teacher in the corner going, you Robbb over there?
- 7:26Dr. Robb Kelly: He's a waste of time.
- 7:27Dr. Robb Kelly: You'll never amount.
- 7:28Dr. Robb Kelly: You'll never amount to anything, Robert.
- 7:29Dr. Robb Kelly: Do you know that?
- 7:30Dr. Robb Kelly: That sticks in my subconscious brain it'll stay in the subconscious brain because everything we had such feel birth is stored there.
- 7:38Dr. Robb Kelly: Billions and billions of tiny micro old.
- 7:41Dr. Robb Kelly: Memories.
- 7:42Dr. Robb Kelly: But the subconscious brain wants to kill us and make it look like an accident.
- 7:46Dr. Robb Kelly: So we have to perform from the conscious brain always.
- 7:49Dr. Robb Kelly: But it'll sit there in the back, Tom, and it'll waste the time, never imagine.
- 7:53Dr. Robb Kelly: And just when I'm about to sign that contract, get that job, buy that car, buy that house, it'll get released in a prefrontal cortex, and I'll hear my dad going, you'll never amount to anything, and I'll back off.
- 8:02Dr. Robb Kelly: And all this is subconscious, really.
- 8:04Dr. Robb Kelly: So unless you come from the conscious brain, not the subconscious brain, because most people do.
- 8:10Dr. Robb Kelly: I mean, show me your friends.
- 8:11Dr. Robb Kelly: I'll show you future.
- 8:13Dr. Robb Kelly: I mirror the three people around me.
- 8:16Dr. Robb Kelly: So if I hang around nine depressed people, I will become the 10th.
- 8:19Dr. Robb Kelly: If I hang around nine people that I want to be, that really know what's going on to serve others, to be kind and to run a business heart led, I'll become one of those and that's what I did.
- 8:30Tom Jackobs: You are the sum of the people that you surround yourself with as well.
- 8:34Tom Jackobs: I think that was Jim Rohn that said that years ago as well.
- 8:37Tom Jackobs: And I think that's very true.
- 8:40Tom Jackobs: But I'd like to back up into your story a little bit more about, being homeless and what ultimately got you out of that situation and to start achieving more.
- 8:51Dr. Robb Kelly: I was a musician.
- 8:52Dr. Robb Kelly: I've always been a musician, wanted to be a pro musician.
- 8:54Dr. Robb Kelly: And I got there before homeless.
- 8:56Dr. Robb Kelly: I worked at Abbey Road in London and I was the best bass player around.
- 9:01Dr. Robb Kelly: That's what I kept telling myself.
- 9:02Dr. Robb Kelly: And I played with John Bowie, Queen, all them guys beautiful guys.
- 9:06Dr. Robb Kelly: But then I became homeless, lost everything.
- 9:08Dr. Robb Kelly: During that time on the streets was horrific.
- 9:12Dr. Robb Kelly: I got beat, I got started stuff like horrible stuff.
- 9:14Dr. Robb Kelly: And then I learned because of my upbringing on council estates or projects, lower performing projects, I started with the anger.
- 9:23Dr. Robb Kelly: And then when I become angry, then you couldn't.
- 9:25Dr. Robb Kelly: You can't win a fight with me.
- 9:26Dr. Robb Kelly: I was too quick.
- 9:27Dr. Robb Kelly: I was too fast.
- 9:28Dr. Robb Kelly: And then slowly but surely I degraded as I ate less food and drank more alcohol.
- 9:33Dr. Robb Kelly: But one night I was walking near the factories and offices outside Manchester.
- 9:38Dr. Robb Kelly: There's not a person in sight.
- 9:40Dr. Robb Kelly: It's two o'clock in the morning ish and I dropped down to my hands and knees.
- 9:44Dr. Robb Kelly: And I was sobbing like a baby.
- 9:47Dr. Robb Kelly: Now, from the stomach.
- 9:48Dr. Robb Kelly: Now I wasn't sobbing because I'd lost my children, my wife, my houses, my car, everything.
- 9:55Dr. Robb Kelly: I wasn't crying because of that.
- 9:56Dr. Robb Kelly: I was sobbing for the first time.
- 9:59Dr. Robb Kelly: I realized I couldn't stop drinking.
- 10:01Dr. Robb Kelly: And this was after seven suicide attempts on two occasions.
- 10:04Dr. Robb Kelly: I was dead.
- 10:05Dr. Robb Kelly: They brought me back to life.
- 10:07Dr. Robb Kelly: So people say, why did you do what you do now?
- 10:09Dr. Robb Kelly: And how are you making money?
- 10:10Dr. Robb Kelly: I died twice on the streets.
- 10:12Dr. Robb Kelly: That's why, and you have to have that mentality of what can anybody do to me that's going to ruin me or have an effect that I haven't already done to myself in the past, whether that be failed businesses or whatever.
- 10:25Dr. Robb Kelly: I looked up to the sky and I said this as an atheist, a staunch atheist, because everything was taken away from me.
- 10:31Dr. Robb Kelly: I looked up and I said, if there is a God up there, I can't do this on my own anymore.
- 10:36Dr. Robb Kelly: Sorry, I still get emotional about that after 30 years.
- 10:38Dr. Robb Kelly: The guy walked around the corner, Tom, he had a little Bible in his hand.
- 10:42Dr. Robb Kelly: And he said he needed help and he was taking a shortcut that he'd never taken.
- 10:45Dr. Robb Kelly: He missed his last bus home from Bible study.
- 10:48Dr. Robb Kelly: He came up past me he took me back to his house, we're all good.
- 10:51Dr. Robb Kelly: And then he said, you can stay here, but you've got to come to these AA meetings with me and you can stay here for as long as you like.
- 10:56Dr. Robb Kelly: I hated the meetings, same old crap, but I went because it was a drive in.
- 11:00Dr. Robb Kelly: While I was there, this guy called John spoke and it was amazing.
- 11:04Dr. Robb Kelly: It was like this hero had walked in the room and he was very quiet.
- 11:08Dr. Robb Kelly: So I asked him to sponsor me after and he said, no, but I'll be a spiritual advisor for a period of 12 weeks.
- 11:14Dr. Robb Kelly: Every Wednesday, I'd leave Derek's at 6, I'd get there till 7.
- 11:18Dr. Robb Kelly: I stayed till late and I walked home, got home at night.
- 11:20Dr. Robb Kelly: So that was three hours of my life every Wednesday.
- 11:22Dr. Robb Kelly: Did that for 12 weeks, Tom.
- 11:24Dr. Robb Kelly: When I walked out of that man's house on the last day, he told me that all these things are going to happen.
- 11:29Dr. Robb Kelly: And the next day, they started to happen.
- 11:31Dr. Robb Kelly: And my life of helping On the door, and no answer.
- 11:35Dr. Robb Kelly: And there was like, curtains looked a lot dirtier than then.
- 11:38Dr. Robb Kelly: The girl on the right hand come out she said, can I help you?
- 11:40Dr. Robb Kelly: And I said, can you tell me where John is?
- 11:42Dr. Robb Kelly: Does he still live I got there at 5, to 7, I had to wait downstairs until 7.
- 11:47Dr. Robb Kelly: at 8 o'clock, no matter what we were doing, he'd walk me to the door.
- 11:50Dr. Robb Kelly: Okay.
- 11:50Dr. Robb Kelly: So I think these two guys are crazy.
- 11:52Dr. Robb Kelly: So I go back to the meeting where it met you on several months ago.
- 11:56Dr. Robb Kelly: And when I walked in the chair went, Oh, Robbb.
- 11:58Dr. Robb Kelly: And I said, thank God for that.
- 11:59Dr. Robb Kelly: You recognize me.
- 12:00Dr. Robb Kelly: Cause I've never been there again.
- 12:02Dr. Robb Kelly: He said, yeah.
- 12:02Dr. Robb Kelly: I said, does John still come?
- 12:03Dr. Robb Kelly: He said, John who?
- 12:05Dr. Robb Kelly: And I'm just about to punch him on the nose.
- 12:08Dr. Robb Kelly: I said, it was over near the coffee machine.
- 12:09Dr. Robb Kelly: I asked him to sponsor me.
- 12:11Dr. Robb Kelly: He said, Robbb, we thought you were praying.
- 12:13Dr. Robb Kelly: You were over near the coffee machine, speaking to yourself.
- 12:16Dr. Robb Kelly: And that was my journey.
- 12:18Dr. Robb Kelly: Now, months later or years later, when I become wealthy, I hired the best detective service in Manchester and we could never find him and we've never found him since.
- 12:27Dr. Robb Kelly: But what he taught me is the knowledge I have today of being able to achieve whatever you want to achieve.
- 12:36Dr. Robb Kelly: Now, we have the neuroscience to that.
- 12:38Dr. Robb Kelly: So that's kind of the story behind that.
- 12:39Dr. Robb Kelly: And that's where my life started to take off.
- 12:41Tom Jackobs: What a journey for sure.
- 12:44Tom Jackobs: Yeah.
- 12:44Tom Jackobs: Thank you for sharing that.
- 12:45Tom Jackobs: That's that's quite amazing.
- 12:48Tom Jackobs: And really what he taught you about putting other people first, that's carried, you've very far, obviously, in, your life and that's carried you through.
- 12:59Tom Jackobs: How has that shaped the businesses that you've created and then the people that are working with you?
- 13:05Dr. Robb Kelly: Think this is one of the reason why we're successful because we do what other business don't do.
- 13:10Dr. Robb Kelly: of all, we offer a money back guarantee and in the addiction world, that is insane.
- 13:14Dr. Robb Kelly: Nobody in the world does it, but we have something that works and we know we do have some of the worst.
- 13:19Dr. Robb Kelly: So the people that come on board know that and it's all about passion.
- 13:23Dr. Robb Kelly: Everybody in my company carries a pro bono patient or a pro bono entrepreneur.
- 13:28Dr. Robb Kelly: We try not to turn anybody down because it's very expensive to come in, obviously.
- 13:31Dr. Robb Kelly: So I deal with the A listers and all of our staff deal with the guys like me, who can only afford, a certain amount of dollars an hour.
- 13:39Dr. Robb Kelly: So we cover the spectrum and we're proud that we cover the spectrum and it's the passion and we all sit down every Monday and we go through we explain the neuroscience behind the business and all the businesses in life that we have today, people get on board and we can relate to it.
- 13:57Dr. Robb Kelly: Oh my God.
- 13:58Dr. Robb Kelly: It's let's just say for instance, we get up in the morning and the subconscious brain runs our day, unless we do so and about it.
- 14:03Dr. Robb Kelly: That's the guy that's nervous, not going to react to anything.
- 14:06Dr. Robb Kelly: It's going to cheat.
- 14:07Dr. Robb Kelly: It's going to cheat on his wife.
- 14:08Dr. Robb Kelly: This is the subconscious brain wakes up every morning.
- 14:10Dr. Robb Kelly: Why does it wake us up?
- 14:11Dr. Robb Kelly: A subconscious brain thrives just like any illness in the body in a hypoxic state.
- 14:17Dr. Robb Kelly: Just when we wake up from sleep, our body is low, we wake up, subconscious mind right there.
- 14:22Dr. Robb Kelly: Who do you think you are?
- 14:23Dr. Robb Kelly: You're never going to achieve this, it's going to be a bad day.
- 14:25Dr. Robb Kelly: And If you have five minutes bad at work, we're going to screw on it all day so you make sure you have a bad day.
- 14:31Dr. Robb Kelly: When you do your breath work, which is 20 exaggerated breaths in and out, it all of a sudden, it gets rid of that guy and it punches in the conscious brain.
- 14:40Dr. Robb Kelly: This guy, can do anything, man.
- 14:43Dr. Robb Kelly: Literally anything.
- 14:44Dr. Robb Kelly: So I go through my day, I do my routine, I compliment three people, I do my mirror work, my teeth work, my breath work in the morning.
- 14:49Dr. Robb Kelly: I'm ready to go, man.
- 14:50Dr. Robb Kelly: All my body is energized and I can absolutely achieve anything I want to do.
- 14:56Dr. Robb Kelly: And the day goes great, Tom.
- 14:57Dr. Robb Kelly: But you know something who wakes me up tomorrow?
- 14:59Dr. Robb Kelly: This guy again.
- 15:01Dr. Robb Kelly: There's three parts of the brain that resets every 24 hours.
- 15:05Dr. Robb Kelly: Unless we know that and can address that, you're always going to come from this comfort zone where people tell you what you can achieve.
- 15:12Dr. Robb Kelly: Do you know how many times I've been told you can't do that?
- 15:15Dr. Robb Kelly: And my answer's always the same.
- 15:16Dr. Robb Kelly: Says who?
- 15:16Dr. Robb Kelly: Well, you just can't.
- 15:17Dr. Robb Kelly: Says who?
- 15:18Dr. Robb Kelly: Tell me somebody who says I can't do it.
- 15:19Dr. Robb Kelly: Well, it's not me.
- 15:20Dr. Robb Kelly: I'm just saying, boom, I did it.
- 15:21Dr. Robb Kelly: Boom, I did it.
- 15:22Dr. Robb Kelly: Boom, I did it.
- 15:24Dr. Robb Kelly: You know, life's too short.
- 15:25Dr. Robb Kelly: Everyone thinks, guys, listen to this.
- 15:26Dr. Robb Kelly: If you're an entrepreneur or you're running a business from the heart, like we all do, you think you have time.
- 15:34Dr. Robb Kelly: You don't have time.
- 15:35Dr. Robb Kelly: Time goes in a blink.
- 15:37Dr. Robb Kelly: Moms, how many times are you waving your kids off to kindergarten?
- 15:40Dr. Robb Kelly: Next minute, you say, I'm waving them off to college.
- 15:44Dr. Robb Kelly: We don't have time.
- 15:45Dr. Robb Kelly: So when we did our research, like everything we speak about, we've researched, trial tested.
- 15:51Dr. Robb Kelly: We were able to ask family and friends, grandfathers and grandmothers in hospice.
- 15:56Dr. Robb Kelly: And they all said a common theme is, I thought I had more time.
- 16:01Dr. Robb Kelly: You don't.
- 16:02Dr. Robb Kelly: So do it now.
- 16:03Dr. Robb Kelly: Do it now.
- 16:03Tom Jackobs: What you're talking about, to waking up with that subconscious, is that where you know, some people say, oh, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
- 16:12Tom Jackobs: They're allowing their subconscious to rule their day.
- 16:16Tom Jackobs: Is that okay?
- 16:18Tom Jackobs: Yeah.
- 16:18Dr. Robb Kelly: Boom.
- 16:19Dr. Robb Kelly: Yeah, that's it, Tom.
- 16:21Dr. Robb Kelly: And because it's subconscious, we don't know.
- 16:23Dr. Robb Kelly: We're just going through a bad day.
- 16:24Dr. Robb Kelly: We didn't get that job.
- 16:25Dr. Robb Kelly: We didn't.
- 16:26Dr. Robb Kelly: It's a cloud of trauma, guys.
- 16:29Dr. Robb Kelly: If you walk, can you imagine walking in that interview room with 20 other people trying for that job?
- 16:34Dr. Robb Kelly: Knowing your identity, because most people lose their identity through life.
- 16:39Dr. Robb Kelly: Knowing your identity and your worth.
- 16:43Dr. Robb Kelly: People all the time call me up, Dr.
- 16:44Dr. Robb Kelly: Robbb, I'm thinking of opening a practice.
- 16:45Dr. Robb Kelly: How much should I charge?
- 16:47Dr. Robb Kelly: An hour.
- 16:47Dr. Robb Kelly: The answer's always the same.
- 16:48Dr. Robb Kelly: How much are you worth?
- 16:50Dr. Robb Kelly: An hour.
- 16:51Dr. Robb Kelly: Can you imagine walking in that interview knowing that?
- 16:54Dr. Robb Kelly: Knowing everything you took works unless there's a bigger plan?
- 16:57Dr. Robb Kelly: You would kill that interview.
- 16:59Dr. Robb Kelly: If I'm going for something that's 500, I know I'm gonna get it.
- 17:03Dr. Robb Kelly: Because I know my true worth.
- 17:04Dr. Robb Kelly: I know myself today.
- 17:05Dr. Robb Kelly: I'm powerful.
- 17:06Dr. Robb Kelly: I'm tall.
- 17:06Dr. Robb Kelly: I'm strong.
- 17:07Dr. Robb Kelly: I'm kind.
- 17:08Dr. Robb Kelly: I get emotional when I watch sad movies.
- 17:11Dr. Robb Kelly: If I see a person on the street, I'm giving him money because I'm blessed enough to give people money.
- 17:16Dr. Robb Kelly: That's what I do.
- 17:17Dr. Robb Kelly: It's knowing you.
- 17:19Dr. Robb Kelly: And women all the time come out of marriages not knowing their identity and they've been brainwashed by their husband.
- 17:24Dr. Robb Kelly: This is what we see here.
- 17:26Dr. Robb Kelly: Uh, no man will have you.
- 17:27Dr. Robb Kelly: You're lucky to have me.
- 17:28Dr. Robb Kelly: No one's going to see you with two children.
- 17:30Dr. Robb Kelly: It's just crap.
- 17:32Dr. Robb Kelly: So the subconscious brain again, takes that and runs with it.
- 17:35Dr. Robb Kelly: And it's just not right.
- 17:37Tom Jackobs: And is that childhood trauma that you were talking about earlier, and that, that sits into our subconscious, is that also why we self sabotage as we go through?
- 17:47Dr. Robb Kelly: Oh, I love that question.
- 17:48Dr. Robb Kelly: You're the only, I've had thousands of podcasts and radio and TV things.
- 17:52Dr. Robb Kelly: And you're the only person that said that.
- 17:53Dr. Robb Kelly: Yes.
- 17:54Dr. Robb Kelly: It is 100%.
- 17:57Dr. Robb Kelly: We hear stuff and alcoholics and addicts hear things differently.
- 18:01Dr. Robb Kelly: It's more aggressive that we hear.
- 18:03Dr. Robb Kelly: So the trauma that sticks with us will define our future.
- 18:06Dr. Robb Kelly: And that is why, like we just said, this happens to us.
- 18:09Dr. Robb Kelly: And we, and most people, 90 percent of the people don't know.
- 18:12Dr. Robb Kelly: It's I would say 85 percent of people, let's just say in Texas, don't know the true self.
- 18:20Dr. Robb Kelly: They couldn't perform 100%.
- 18:21Dr. Robb Kelly: That's what we do.
- 18:22Dr. Robb Kelly: We take people from 65 to 100, but because even if again, it's still taking 500, 000 a year, we think we're amazing, we're doing well, but there's some trauma that is stopping you earning 5 million or 10 million, and then for me, God tests me, we earn a bunch of money and He's what are you going to do with that money?
- 18:41Dr. Robb Kelly: And we go, we're going to get back.
- 18:42Dr. Robb Kelly: So we started the Robert Kelly foundation about two months ago.
- 18:46Dr. Robb Kelly: And, but that, that childhood trauma is the gateway drug, that will kill you.
- 18:51Dr. Robb Kelly: Most people don't know it's there, but it's always there.
- 18:53Dr. Robb Kelly: Everybody has childhood trauma.
- 18:55Tom Jackobs: To get over that is that breath work or interrupting the subconscious brain right when we wake up, right?
- 19:00Tom Jackobs: The self talk, the positive self talk, the breath work, and just switching that from the subconscious to the conscious brain.
- 19:07Tom Jackobs: Is that what you were saying earlier?
- 19:09Dr. Robb Kelly: That's once we the childhood trauma stuff, so there's the basal ganglia, the hypothalamus, and the amygdala, three of the bad players here, if we allow them.
- 19:18Dr. Robb Kelly: So the childhood trauma, you have to remember that the basal ganglia is like a repetition strength that confirms part of the brain, if you want to.
- 19:25Dr. Robb Kelly: Be a pilot.
- 19:26Dr. Robb Kelly: You've got to spend 10, 000 hours.
- 19:27Dr. Robb Kelly: It's just starting so you can do it subconsciously.
- 19:30Dr. Robb Kelly: So can you imagine that happening with the child of trauma?
- 19:33Dr. Robb Kelly: It takes some deep trauma work.
- 19:35Dr. Robb Kelly: We use 90 breathwork therapy.
- 19:37Dr. Robb Kelly: We use psychology and O.
- 19:38Dr. Robb Kelly: P.
- 19:39Dr. Robb Kelly: S.
- 19:39Dr. Robb Kelly: E.
- 19:40Dr. Robb Kelly: We use anything we can do with the latest science to change that.
- 19:44Dr. Robb Kelly: So in layman's terms, guys, we need to go back to the scene of the crime.
- 19:48Dr. Robb Kelly: or crimes where this happened to you.
- 19:51Dr. Robb Kelly: And then we work on that.
- 19:52Dr. Robb Kelly: And then we bring you through to the current day where you are performing.
- 19:57Dr. Robb Kelly: So it's deep work.
- 19:58Dr. Robb Kelly: Now, childhood trauma.
- 19:59Dr. Robb Kelly: Oh, my parents got divorced.
- 20:00Dr. Robb Kelly: Oh no.
- 20:02Dr. Robb Kelly: That's at one.
- 20:03Dr. Robb Kelly: Let's get to one.
- 20:03Dr. Robb Kelly: Let's get to the stuff that you're taking to the grave.
- 20:06Dr. Robb Kelly: Or you don't even know because at the time you thought that was normal.
- 20:10Dr. Robb Kelly: So when my parents dropped me off and their friends every Friday.
- 20:13Dr. Robb Kelly: We had to stay overnight because mom and dad's were out drinking.
- 20:16Dr. Robb Kelly: And as soon as the car pulled out the driveway, these two married couple would say, Okay, let's play the get undressed game and run around naked game.
- 20:24Dr. Robb Kelly: I thought I was normal.
- 20:25Dr. Robb Kelly: It's a game, and they will play with us and we thought was a game.
- 20:28Dr. Robb Kelly: So years on, when I became a bodybuilder, I would never take my shirt off and I didn't know why, unless it was competing.
- 20:36Dr. Robb Kelly: I'd never take it.
- 20:37Dr. Robb Kelly: Even though I had this great physique at the age of 1920 and I did some eye trauma and that's Because when strangers are there, I'm expected to get naked.
- 20:45Dr. Robb Kelly: And that affected me in intimacy, in normal life, because that was always psychologically stripping you down because you're not really worth anything.
- 20:55Dr. Robb Kelly: I can do anything I want to.
- 20:57Dr. Robb Kelly: That's the childhood trauma we need to uncover, discover, and discard.
- 21:00Tom Jackobs: Yeah that's interesting that, what, as children, a lot of times we think it's normal, but it's not because there's no reference point for it as, as we have as as adult.
- 21:10Dr. Robb Kelly: And again, fleas from the pet store, and we stuck them in a huge mason jar, and we put the lid on top, and we poked holes in it, and we left it for three days.
- 21:17Dr. Robb Kelly: Now fleas can jump like three foot in the air.
- 21:20Dr. Robb Kelly: We took the cap off after three days, not one flea jumped higher than where the cat was, which we thought was interesting.
- 21:26Dr. Robb Kelly: But then we left him in there, and when they had babies, the babies won't jump higher than where the cat was, and they'd never even seen that cat.
- 21:35Dr. Robb Kelly: That's the kind of childhood trauma we're talking about.
- 21:38Tom Jackobs: Generational trauma as well, yeah.
- 21:41Dr. Robb Kelly: Yes, it is, without a doubt.
- 21:44Dr. Robb Kelly: And you can be a chain breaker, guys.
- 21:46Dr. Robb Kelly: you can break this chain.
- 21:47Dr. Robb Kelly: Why would you don't want your kids to carry on the trade that, my dad never, ever validated or approved anything that I did.
- 21:54Dr. Robb Kelly: Bodybuilding trophies, karate trophies, never said great job.
- 21:58Dr. Robb Kelly: My mom was brilliant.
- 21:59Dr. Robb Kelly: She was great.
- 22:00Dr. Robb Kelly: My dad never said nothing.
- 22:01Dr. Robb Kelly: So what lesson do I learn from my dad is no matter what I do, I'm not good enough.
- 22:06Dr. Robb Kelly: I carried that through until about seven years ago I worked on that part.
- 22:10Dr. Robb Kelly: That's why I was chasing the money, Tom.
- 22:12Dr. Robb Kelly: I wanted to prove to everybody, look at me, I'm so rich.
- 22:14Dr. Robb Kelly: Look at my Bentley, look at my 2 million hat, look at my 50 grand Rolex.
- 22:18Dr. Robb Kelly: I was all over that.
- 22:20Dr. Robb Kelly: And you know what?
- 22:21Dr. Robb Kelly: It didn't fill the hole of my dad.
- 22:24Dr. Robb Kelly: Just saying, good job.
- 22:27Dr. Robb Kelly: He didn't feel that whole, and he will never feel that whole until you do your work.
- 22:31Dr. Robb Kelly: And when you do your work, you can have anything and be anybody you want.
- 22:34Dr. Robb Kelly: You really, the mind is so powerful.
- 22:37Dr. Robb Kelly: You would never believe how, we could sit here, Tom, for the next two weeks, 24 hours a day, talking about how powerful the mind is, and we still would run out of time.
- 22:46Dr. Robb Kelly: Because what we can achieve with this, Is mind blowing.
- 22:49Dr. Robb Kelly: You ever heard the saying mind over matter?
- 22:52Dr. Robb Kelly: So the brain is energy and the brain, sorry, the mind is energy and the brain is matter.
- 22:57Dr. Robb Kelly: Can you imagine if we can program our mind to have this amazing life?
- 23:02Dr. Robb Kelly: Well, the good news is we can.
- 23:04Dr. Robb Kelly: And the better news is it's not that hard.
- 23:06Dr. Robb Kelly: And even better news than that is everybody can do it.
- 23:08Tom Jackobs: That's fascinating.
- 23:10Tom Jackobs: And I did want to get to how you make profit, but obviously putting other people first, really take caring, taking care of people and then getting rid of those the self conscious sabotage or helps you and helps us as business owners, make sure that we are making a profit even when we are still heartled.
- 23:33Dr. Robb Kelly: If you don't get complacent and if you're passionate about what you do, like really passionate and stand up and be counted with this, you have to be a leader in the community.
- 23:41Dr. Robb Kelly: You can't sit at home in that little comfort zone and hoping that someone's going to knock on the door and give you a million dollars.
- 23:46Dr. Robb Kelly: You're on your own here.
- 23:47Dr. Robb Kelly: Okay, so why not use everybody who's listening to this right now is not listening by mistake.
- 23:52Dr. Robb Kelly: I give up coincidences 20 years ago with what I've seen with patients coming in here.
- 23:57Dr. Robb Kelly: You're listening for a reason.
- 23:59Dr. Robb Kelly: And the reason is, and ask yourself this question, what do I need to do today to change my life?
- 24:04Dr. Robb Kelly: When we're working with people, when we're complimenting people every day, there's a guy, a young kid went to the Golden Gate Bridge and threw himself off, committed suicide.
- 24:11Dr. Robb Kelly: So the police dragged him out, found his ID, went back to his apartment, looking for the next of kin.
- 24:16Dr. Robb Kelly: What they found was a letter on the table, and it read, I'm going to walk to the Golden Gate Bridge and commit suicide by throwing myself off.
- 24:25Dr. Robb Kelly: Unless On the way there, somebody smiles, says good morning, or nods their head at me.
- 24:32Dr. Robb Kelly: In that case, I'll turn around and walk back.
- 24:34Dr. Robb Kelly: Question guys, how many people have you walked past today?
- 24:37Dr. Robb Kelly: Who's heading to the Golden Gate Bridge.
- 24:39Dr. Robb Kelly: That's the stuff that makes entrepreneurs better than anybody else in your business.
- 24:44Dr. Robb Kelly: It's the caring.
- 24:44Dr. Robb Kelly: It's the passion is to never turn anything down.
- 24:46Dr. Robb Kelly: Say yes to everything.
- 24:48Dr. Robb Kelly: Be that leader, get on podcasts, get speaking in conferences.
- 24:51Dr. Robb Kelly: Just be that leader.
- 24:52Dr. Robb Kelly: Don't take any crap of anybody because you have a vision and you have a job to do.
- 24:57Dr. Robb Kelly: And the job is yours.
- 24:58Dr. Robb Kelly: He energy let's say God, uncle Jimmy, whatever it is as the energy over you.
- 25:04Dr. Robb Kelly: This is your job.
- 25:06Dr. Robb Kelly: To go out there and use your skills that you were given at birth to do.
- 25:12Dr. Robb Kelly: So neural pathways, there are billions.
- 25:14Dr. Robb Kelly: Every neural pathway for health, for wealth, success, already built in your brain.
- 25:20Dr. Robb Kelly: Okay, here's the new thought patterns.
- 25:23Dr. Robb Kelly: Okay, so when I say I want to start a business.
- 25:25Dr. Robb Kelly: Oh, yeah, I want to start a business great trauma This is the connection when I start into the government trauma Okay, what we need to do is connect those and when we connect them, you can't disconnect them So again question guys, there are 300 ish neural pathways every day that die in the brain.
- 25:41Dr. Robb Kelly: What are you replacing them with?
- 25:43Dr. Robb Kelly: Thoughts from childhood, or conscious brain thoughts from today where you can achieve anything.
- 25:48Tom Jackobs: Well, Robb, this has been just absolutely fascinating.
- 25:50Tom Jackobs: And I know the the listeners and the viewers are going to just devour this and, um, want more.
- 25:58Tom Jackobs: So how can people find out about, uh, your work and potentially working with you?
- 26:02Dr. Robb Kelly: So I spelt two B's.
- 26:04Dr. Robb Kelly: R O B K E O Y dot com is the website.
- 26:07Dr. Robb Kelly: Jump on there.

- 26:21Dr. Robb Kelly: You see the book in the background?
- 26:23Dr. Robb Kelly: It's called Daddy, please stop drinking.
- 26:24Dr. Robb Kelly: It's the last thing my daughter said to me at the age of three, 30 years ago.
- 26:28Dr. Robb Kelly: Okay?
- 26:29Dr. Robb Kelly: That book's on Amazon.
- 26:30Dr. Robb Kelly: Don't go to Amazon and buy And that's enough.
- 26:33Dr. Robb Kelly: But go on, have fun, all social medias, Dr.

- 26:50Dr. Robb Kelly: In 20 minutes, I will change your life.
- 26:53Dr. Robb Kelly: Otherwise I'll send you 50 for wasting your time.
