- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It is time.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Time to leave your worries outside and laugh with us
- 0:19Speaker 3: inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley along with Trey Trendholm
- 0:23Speaker 3: and a very chipper, bouncy happy Jerry Caldwell.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Good to see you, Jerry. Hope you having a good week.
- 0:31Speaker 3: It has been a full show, or it's been a
- 0:33Speaker 3: full week inside the Treehouse show. We started it with
- 0:38Speaker 3: a very sad story out of the Denver International Airport,
- 0:42Speaker 3: and we're.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Going to end the week.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Well, it's still a sad story, but it's a better
- 0:47Speaker 3: way to go. That's how we're going to end.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry. We started the week with a very sad
- 0:54Speaker 1: story about me getting ghosted by the girl I thought
- 0:56Speaker 1: was the love of my life.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Oh oh, I'm sorry, Trey.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I thought the guy chucking himself into a jet engine
- 1:02Speaker 3: was more tragic than you being ghost.
- 1:05Speaker 1: No, he got I mean, at least it's over for him.
- 1:09Speaker 2: He's kind of point all right. Fine.
- 1:13Speaker 3: The week started out tragically, mainly for Tray, but also
- 1:18Speaker 3: a little bit for that mentally disturbed man who threw
- 1:21Speaker 3: himself into a frontier jet engine.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm still I'm still you know, suffering his He's at
- 1:26Speaker 1: least it's it's past.
- 1:29Speaker 2: But we are going to end the week with a
- 1:31Speaker 2: vastly different death. So still sad, but just you know
- 1:36Speaker 2: better where to go.
- 1:38Speaker 3: But before we get there, we got a whole lot
- 1:40Speaker 3: of other stuff to get to.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Including.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Sidney Sweeney's new Euphoria's storyline is making only fan creators furious.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I mean they are pissed.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Forgive the pun. I actually I love the headline from
- 2:02Speaker 3: the article from Variety. Sidney Sweeney's Euphoria sex Worker is
- 2:06Speaker 3: really pissing off only fans models.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Why all right, I have I've never seen the show,
- 2:19Speaker 1: so I've other than you know, Sidney Sweeney sex Worker.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It's got your attention, doesn't it.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah? That that's a that is an attention grabber.
- 2:37Speaker 3: In season three, Sidney Sweeney's character starts an only fans
- 2:42Speaker 3: account and real creators are calling the show cartoonish and
- 2:47Speaker 3: completely unrealistic. So on Euphoria, Sidney Sweeney plays a character
- 2:56Speaker 3: named Cassie, and she has started an only fans journey.
- 3:02Speaker 3: It began with her making content posing as a dog
- 3:05Speaker 3: replete with dog ears collar, leash, wristcuffs tailed, and a
- 3:09Speaker 3: satin corset from Sweeney's own lingerie line, Siren.
- 3:13Speaker 2: How do I plase?
- 3:15Speaker 3: Bending over and lapping up water from a bowl on
- 3:17Speaker 3: the ground. She further dresses up as a baby, spread
- 3:19Speaker 3: eagle on the couch and a sheer pink shirt, her
- 3:22Speaker 3: hair and pigtails and a rattle in her mouth. Her
- 3:27Speaker 3: character and her boyfriend or husband's housekeeper, Juana, has been
- 3:32Speaker 3: tasked with snapping photos of Cassie in these revealing costumes
- 3:35Speaker 3: for her only fans. And because of this adventurous slash
- 3:42Speaker 3: cartoonish storyline on Euphoria, Real OnlyFans creators feel like they
- 3:47Speaker 3: are being mocked. Sidney Leathers, an OnlyFans creator since twenty seventeen,
- 3:56Speaker 3: tells Variety there's just a lot that's ridiculous in cartoon
- 4:00Speaker 3: nish about it. There's so much that they have her
- 4:02Speaker 3: doing that is not even allowed on only fans, and
- 4:07Speaker 3: that alone is infuriating. The age plays stuff where she's
- 4:10Speaker 3: dressed as a baby and a diaper, for example. Credit
- 4:13Speaker 3: card processors have very strict rules that you have to
- 4:15Speaker 3: abide by, and the rules are getting stricter all the time.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I guess this is the first time Sidney Leathers has
- 4:23Speaker 3: been introduced to Hollywood likes to exaggerate things.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Or I am sure there's no way possible that you
- 4:33Speaker 1: could pay someone in bitcoin or some other method that
- 4:37Speaker 1: circumvents credit card processing to get that kind of thing.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And if here would be my number one question for
- 4:44Speaker 1: all the pissed off OnlyFans models, give me the dollar
- 4:48Speaker 1: amount that it would take for you to do said
- 4:50Speaker 1: act that you're upset about. There is a I bet
- 4:55Speaker 1: there's a number.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Oh, everyone's got a price. I'm ready. I am ready
- 4:59Speaker 2: to dress up like a dog right now. Yeah, just
- 5:02Speaker 2: just venmo me. We'll figure this out. I'll send you
- 5:05Speaker 2: some weird stuff quite acting like.
- 5:07Speaker 3: You're holier than thou with whatever sort of creative perspective
- 5:13Speaker 3: you have, just because you Sydney Leathers may see it
- 5:17Speaker 3: as mocking or infuriating or cartoonish. And you would never
- 5:22Speaker 3: dress up as a dog for someone else's sexual gratification
- 5:26Speaker 3: for money. There are plenty of us that would. And
- 5:30Speaker 3: like Tray said, just offer a number. Let's find out.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Let's find out what that number is.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I mean, there there was a trend, you know, it's like,
- 5:39Speaker 1: would you be gay for twenty four hours for a
- 5:41Speaker 1: billion dollars? And it's like, yeah, I mean, I'll put
- 5:44Speaker 1: on my Cowboys jersey, you know, I go out. Mmm,
- 5:51Speaker 1: how dare you?
- 5:57Speaker 3: At the end of the day, everyone's got a number.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Not everyone has the same standards as Sidney Leathers. Maitland
- 6:04Speaker 3: Ward got in on the action maitland Ward, who is
- 6:07Speaker 3: also a top OnlyFans creator and adult actress who rakes
- 6:11Speaker 3: in six figures a month on the Only Fans platform,
- 6:15Speaker 3: And if her names sound familiar to you, it's because
- 6:18Speaker 3: she also had a foray into sex work and starred
- 6:20Speaker 3: on the sitcom Boy Meets.
- 6:22Speaker 1: World World Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 3: As well as the comedy film White Chicks. She found
- 6:27Speaker 3: the baby costume particularly damaging to the already skewed perception
- 6:32Speaker 3: of real life workers on OnlyFans. She says in the
- 6:35Speaker 3: climate we're in, that they dressed her up as a
- 6:38Speaker 3: baby to make pornographic OnlyFans content was beyond troubling and
- 6:41Speaker 3: again serves to perpetuate stereotypes that sex workers have no
- 6:44Speaker 3: moral compass and that they will do anything for money. No,
- 6:50Speaker 3: it's perpetuating a stereotype that some will do anything for money,
- 6:55Speaker 3: or at least that just because this character on a
- 6:59Speaker 3: show may be willing to dress up as a dog
- 7:02Speaker 3: for someone else's gratification for money doesn't mean she's going
- 7:05Speaker 3: to do other stuff.
- 7:07Speaker 1: It's also it's really easy when you are making six
- 7:09Speaker 1: figures a month to have a moral high ground, to
- 7:14Speaker 1: have lines you won't cross. If they were only making
- 7:17Speaker 1: three thousand a month and someone offered him a big
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know what would your answer be?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Whoof? She goes on to say, this word does.
- 7:28Speaker 3: And there's always this untrue stigma that somehow sex work
- 7:32Speaker 3: is synonymous with sex trafficking and abuse. And they just said,
- 7:36Speaker 3: let's make a joke of it. That is so funny.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I am not laughing. The show's creator Sam Levinson said,
- 7:43Speaker 3: it's meant to be absurd. It's meant to be absurd,
- 7:49Speaker 3: but it appears some OnlyFans models can take.
- 7:53Speaker 2: But not jokes.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I would like to revisit my point on this that
- 8:04Speaker 3: Hollywood doesn't depict many things accurately, never have, probably never will.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I'd be afraid to see some of these OnlyFans creators
- 8:15Speaker 3: who are appalled at Sidney Sweeney's storyline and a television
- 8:19Speaker 3: show that is make believe all the other untruths that
- 8:25Speaker 3: Hollywood has spread throughout the years. There is no phone
- 8:30Speaker 3: call when you go to jail. That's not real. That's
- 8:34Speaker 3: a that's a Hollywood thing. It's it's a it's a
- 8:36Speaker 3: it's it's a way to move a storyline forward. It's
- 8:39Speaker 3: it's it's a plot device.
- 8:43Speaker 2: You know, it's not. You only get one vone call on.
- 8:46Speaker 3: You get access to a phone. There are lots of
- 8:49Speaker 3: other things that are inaccurate. We've talked about this recently.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Snuffing a stuffing a chloroform soaked rag over someone's mouth
- 8:58Speaker 3: doesn't incapacity hate them for minutes or hours on end.
- 9:04Speaker 3: If it did that much damage, they'd be dead, or
- 9:07Speaker 3: if they were out for that amount of time, they'd
- 9:09Speaker 3: be dead. There's all sorts of things, police officers, doctors, lawyers,
- 9:13Speaker 3: there's all sorts of stuff. Trials don't take twenty minutes.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I know it looked that way on Law and Order,
- 9:21Speaker 3: but it takes a really long time to go through
- 9:23Speaker 3: the judicial system.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Don't even get me started about physics. There you go.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Neil deGrasse Tyson has made an entire career out of
- 9:34Speaker 3: correcting films and scientific inaccuracies of space. So I know
- 9:42Speaker 3: it's a hard pill to swallow for some of these
- 9:45Speaker 3: Only Fans creators, but at a certain point you just
- 9:47Speaker 3: got to accept the fact that Hollywood's gonna do what
- 9:50Speaker 3: Hollywood does. And you can have your moral high ground
- 9:54Speaker 3: and you can be the one that won't dress up
- 9:56Speaker 3: like a dog, and that's fine, that's good for you.
- 10:01Speaker 3: But some people are willing to do that for money mmmmmm,
- 10:07Speaker 3: especially if that's your if that's your niche. I mean,
- 10:11Speaker 3: there are entire furry conventions that sell out hotels in
- 10:14Speaker 3: major metropolitan areas, so you know.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It's not entirely made up or.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Well, and you know, only Only Fans isn't the only site.
- 10:26Speaker 1: There are plenty of other it's right sites where you
- 10:30Speaker 1: know people do this kind of stuff. Only Fans just
- 10:33Speaker 1: has the biggest name.
- 10:35Speaker 2: That's right.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Uh.
- 10:38Speaker 3: And that's the other thing too. It's almost like they're
- 10:39Speaker 3: taking like this storyline personally. It's like, oh, they've got
- 10:42Speaker 3: Sidney Sweeney doing this ridiculous stuff that I can't even
- 10:44Speaker 3: do on Only Fans blah blah.
- 10:46Speaker 2: But you can't, it's not even realistic. You can't do that.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 10:50Speaker 3: First of all, they're not coming after you specifically. It's
- 10:53Speaker 3: an absurd storyline that's meant to be absurd.
- 10:57Speaker 2: And if it's not something that you can do, it's
- 10:59Speaker 2: not cutting into your bottom line. I mean, what what
- 11:04Speaker 2: is it?
- 11:05Speaker 3: Is it Sophie or Sophia Ring who's made one hundred
- 11:09Speaker 3: million dollars on only fans? I mean a tenth of that.
- 11:15Speaker 3: I think all three of us would dress up like
- 11:17Speaker 3: dogs right now.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Right now, I'd be curious asking this question, m what
- 11:24Speaker 1: would you you know, object to more of what they're
- 11:26Speaker 1: doing on euphoria or if Sidney Swiney actually joined only fans.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Oh Man and then dressed up like the dog?
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever, that might cut into your bottom line because
- 11:47Speaker 1: I I can only I can't even fathom what that
- 11:50Speaker 1: number would be, but I would in the first month,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I would bet it would hit in the nine figures.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Right, it might break only fans, it only fans would
- 12:01Speaker 3: get folded up like a lung.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Chair the only Sydney.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Uh it is.
- 12:13Speaker 3: It is a silly thing, though, It's like, look at
- 12:15Speaker 3: the end of the day, if that's if that's your
- 12:17Speaker 3: biggest gripe, because that's your job and you feel like
- 12:19Speaker 3: they're you know, attacking your job, you got it pretty good.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Or way worse things. I think it lends an air
- 12:27Speaker 2: of legitimacy when somebody in Hollywood decides to poke fun
- 12:30Speaker 2: it's something that you do. That's true. It does how
- 12:32Speaker 2: you know you've arrived. You know, Yeah, that is very true.
- 12:35Speaker 3: It's like when Hollywood's making movies and shows about you
- 12:39Speaker 3: or characters that have your occupation slash. You know, if
- 12:42Speaker 3: Saturday Night Live is making fun of you, then it's
- 12:44Speaker 3: it's kind of a badge of honor. It's like, yes,
- 12:47Speaker 3: look at that. I'm big enough to where I'm you know,
- 12:50Speaker 3: able to be satirized. Has anyone ever complained about wird
- 12:54Speaker 3: Al Yankovic? Now, I don't think so, because at the
- 13:00Speaker 3: end of the day, I think he's silly enough where
- 13:01Speaker 3: no one's gonna be like, now, if weird Al does
- 13:04Speaker 3: some sort of an onlyfan song, I'll be here for it. Now,
- 13:09Speaker 3: this is not the only viral story we have to
- 13:13Speaker 3: close out the week here inside the Treehouse. And this
- 13:15Speaker 3: is not the the Sydney Sweeny only fans stuff is
- 13:18Speaker 3: not the only story pumping backlash. The San Francisco Giants
- 13:27Speaker 3: just gave us one most interesting celebrations I have ever
- 13:35Speaker 3: seen after a regular season win.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And very nice. Three in the ninth and very nice.
- 13:46Speaker 3: It is commonplace for baseball players to congratulate each other
- 13:51Speaker 3: after a win, especially over your you know, heated division rival,
- 13:58Speaker 3: but to do it with a triple hip thrust in
- 14:00Speaker 3: the middle of the outfield, that's.
- 14:02Speaker 2: New to me. Put that on only fans.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh, there's a lot of mail bonding on that team.
- 14:14Speaker 2: There is, there is.
- 14:16Speaker 3: And because the Giant celebration went so viral, the Giants
- 14:21Speaker 3: manager had to explain it to everyone, or at least
- 14:24Speaker 3: offers some explanation. Uh. They actually asked the Giants manager,
- 14:32Speaker 3: it was it we're in San Francisco. Surprisingly, that's not
- 14:39Speaker 3: the direction he went. That's the direction I might have gone,
- 14:42Speaker 3: but he went a different direction. The San Francisco Giants
- 14:45Speaker 3: outfield went viral after beating the Dodgers because their postgame
- 14:50Speaker 3: celebration was very friendly. Manager Tony Vittello got asked about
- 14:55Speaker 3: it after the game and he said, they're a close
- 14:58Speaker 3: knit group m HM, which is probably coach speak for
- 15:04Speaker 3: please stop pumping each other on national television. But I
- 15:09Speaker 3: gotta give them credit. They really put the San Francisco
- 15:14Speaker 3: in giants.
- 15:19Speaker 1: That's a I hate to see their post shower routine, but.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I hate to see what happens if they win the
- 15:27Speaker 3: division or the world series.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That's goggles.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That's why they have all makes sense.

- 17:56Speaker 3: Dan Trey and Jerry Today is Thursday, May fourteenth, twenty
- 18:03Speaker 3: twenty six. Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. Birthday's going
- 18:10Speaker 3: to birthday. This is why we do them. Just yesterday
- 18:13Speaker 3: we were talking about Mark Zuckerberg, not in depth, it
- 18:16Speaker 3: was just in passing. We mentioned his name, and today
- 18:19Speaker 3: it's his birthday. He's forty two years.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Old, Jerry.
- 18:24Speaker 3: We mentioned him because one of the ideas we had
- 18:26Speaker 3: for the guy who was chucking rocks at the Hawaiian
- 18:28Speaker 3: monk seal.
- 18:31Speaker 2: For punishment.
- 18:31Speaker 3: One of the ideas we had would be to take
- 18:34Speaker 3: all Hawaiians and line them up and let them get
- 18:37Speaker 3: a shot at him, including some of its more famous
- 18:43Speaker 3: residents like Dayne the Rock, Johnson, Roman Reins. Even we
- 18:48Speaker 3: even said Mark Zuckerberg can get a shot in it
- 18:49Speaker 3: if he wants, even though obviously he's just buying up
- 18:51Speaker 3: as much of Hawaii as he can, probably for his
- 18:55Speaker 3: apocalypse bunker somewhere. Sophia Coppola is fifty five today. Francis
- 19:02Speaker 3: Ford's kiddo, Kate Blanchett fifty seven, phenomenal actress and the
- 19:10Speaker 3: Lord of Star Wars. George Lucas eighty two years old today.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Obviously best known for Star Wars, but it's extremely arguable
- 19:23Speaker 3: that the best thing you created was Indiana Jones.
- 19:27Speaker 2: M because if you look at something like, I think
- 19:31Speaker 2: a lot.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I saw someone post this just the other day saying
- 19:34Speaker 3: Raiders of the Last Dark is the perfect action film.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It may not be my number one favorite action film,
- 19:41Speaker 3: but it's a good one. And it's one of the
- 19:45Speaker 3: all time greatest characters in Hollywood and in cinema. Indiana
- 19:49Speaker 3: Jones is a phenomenal character.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It's funny though it was a story in the Big
- 19:55Speaker 1: Bang theory, but it was Indiana Jones. The one problem
- 19:59Speaker 1: with plot is if you take Indiana Jones out, it
- 20:03Speaker 1: still ends the same way.
- 20:04Speaker 2: It's true, it does.
- 20:05Speaker 3: It's very accurate, and that, to me is one of
- 20:09Speaker 3: the most George Lucas things ever. He is considered to
- 20:14Speaker 3: be one of the most successful directors creators in Hollywood history,
- 20:22Speaker 3: but one of his most iconic characters is absolutely inconsequential
- 20:27Speaker 3: to the plot of Raiders of the Last Art Because Jerry,
- 20:32Speaker 3: have you never heard this? I have, and you know
- 20:37Speaker 3: I have some debate points. Everything everything, everything happens the
- 20:43Speaker 3: same way. The Nazis still get these everything happens despite
- 20:49Speaker 3: Indiana Jones's efforts. They all just didn't think that the
- 20:52Speaker 3: fact when they opened up the arc at the end,
- 20:54Speaker 3: that all their faces would melt off.
- 20:57Speaker 2: If it hadn't been for Indiana Jones, they wouldn't have
- 20:59Speaker 2: opened it up when and where they did. They still
- 21:05Speaker 2: would have opened it.
- 21:05Speaker 1: They would have gone to the remote island and opened
- 21:08Speaker 1: it up or remote wherever and opened it up. Regardless,
- 21:12Speaker 1: They're still going to open it up. They're still going
- 21:14Speaker 1: to die.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I mean people are gonna die. Yes, people are going
- 21:18Speaker 2: to die when they open it. As far as like see,
- 21:23Speaker 2: I don't think it would have happened the same way.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I know they would have opened it and and faces
- 21:28Speaker 2: would have melted. But you're not wrong.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Look that really big Nazi who got his face cut
- 21:34Speaker 3: up in the propeller of that plane, I'm sure he
- 21:37Speaker 3: would feel differently about the presence of Indiana Jones in
- 21:40Speaker 3: the film.
- 21:41Speaker 2: And would it have wound up in Warehouse thirteen at
- 21:43Speaker 2: the end of the movie.
- 21:44Speaker 3: If the point is the overall plot of the film,
- 21:49Speaker 3: nothing truly changes. The Nazis still open up the Ark
- 21:53Speaker 3: of the Covenant and their faces still melt at the
- 21:56Speaker 3: end of the day.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Indiana Jones is.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Sort of a plot device for us the audience that
- 22:01Speaker 3: we felt we got to participate in punching Nazis, and
- 22:04Speaker 3: at the end, we're watching the Nazis' faces melt just
- 22:08Speaker 3: like he did. I I still love the movie. It's
- 22:15Speaker 3: still an iconic film, it's an iconic character. It's also
- 22:18Speaker 3: an iconic plot hole.
- 22:20Speaker 1: At the end of the day, Indiana Jones made a
- 22:21Speaker 1: bullwhip look cool. That's a a fedora.
- 22:26Speaker 3: George Lucas did to archaeology something that I don't think
- 22:32Speaker 3: can be replicated nowhere in anywhere. Was anyone ever thinking
- 22:39Speaker 3: that archaeologists were cool until Indiana Jones and he put
- 22:45Speaker 3: a fidor on him and he gave him a whip,
- 22:48Speaker 3: made it cool as hell. The only other film where
- 22:53Speaker 3: archaeologists seemed cool was in Jurassic Park with his buddy Spielberg.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Oh not not not tomb Raider. I forgot she was
- 23:06Speaker 2: an archaeologist.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Is an archaeologist? Was just a collector?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a treasure hunter.
- 23:17Speaker 1: The dad may have been an archaeologist, but I don't
- 23:19Speaker 1: think she was.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I think she was a I think she was
- 23:22Speaker 2: a Nepo treasure hunter.
- 23:26Speaker 1: She was the batman of archaeology.
- 23:28Speaker 2: She really with with epic video game Gazongas.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Mm hmm, Angelina Joe Lee mm hmm.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 23:44Speaker 3: You know, of all the times people have gotten pissed
- 23:46Speaker 3: off about casting choices like with Batman, Superman, whatever, there
- 23:50Speaker 3: wasn't a single gripe when it was announced Angelina Joe
- 23:53Speaker 3: Lee was going to play tomb Raider, that she was
- 23:55Speaker 3: going to play Laura Croft. Everyone's like, yep, that's who
- 23:58Speaker 3: it should be, absolutely no doubt, no notes even all
- 24:03Speaker 3: the other actors is that probably went up for the
- 24:05Speaker 3: role of like Matt I hope I get it, Angelin's
- 24:06Speaker 3: Jolie's up.
- 24:07Speaker 2: For I'm not gonna get it.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Silly other birthdays today, Rob gon Kowski is thirty seven.
- 24:18Speaker 3: The fact that he has made it to thirty seven
- 24:20Speaker 3: years old without swallowing his own tongue is a minor miracle.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Oh.
- 24:25Speaker 1: The fact that he has somehow parlayed his stupidity into
- 24:29Speaker 1: a career as someone on a pregame show that he
- 24:32Speaker 1: actually talks for a living is astounding. But it also
- 24:40Speaker 1: goes to show you that as much as we like
- 24:41Speaker 1: to think football players are big dumb animals, they're generally
- 24:44Speaker 1: pretty intelligent, at least when it comes to football, like,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you can't be a complete just mindless idiot for and
- 24:53Speaker 1: play professional football.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Correct. For the most part, there are some classic, you
- 25:02Speaker 2: know exceptions. If it was not for football, I would
- 25:05Speaker 2: not be playing football today. Who said that? I think
- 25:11Speaker 2: that was the refrigerator. It'd be perfect.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I had it been Rob Gronkowski, Yeah, I would see
- 25:20Speaker 3: him saying if it wasn't for football, I wouldn't be
- 25:22Speaker 3: here on the Fox Football pregame show today.
- 25:26Speaker 1: That's true. If it weren't for football, none of you
- 25:30Speaker 1: would know who I am, am, and I would just
- 25:32Speaker 1: be me and my brothers would just be at the
- 25:35Speaker 1: town nuisance at some you know wherever they're from.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they absolutely would. So there you have it.
- 25:44Speaker 2: There are your birthdays today, four Thursday, May fourteenth.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Twenty twenty six. Jerry, what'd you find? I'm stallings, I'm
- 25:58Speaker 3: waiting for something to.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Look well, I think I need to make a redaction there.
- 26:05Speaker 2: It would appear that the person that delivered that line
- 26:07Speaker 2: was Rodney Dangerfield. That also tracks. Yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Man, oh my bad, I forgot. I actually got this
- 26:18Speaker 3: segment backwards. I was going to start with one thing
- 26:20Speaker 3: then do birthdays, But since I got it, backwards because
- 26:22Speaker 3: it's kind of like Friday in my mind for us.
- 26:25Speaker 3: So we're just going to switch it up a little
- 26:26Speaker 3: bit here. As we mentioned earlier today, Trey told us
- 26:31Speaker 3: all this week that he and his lovely girlfriend are
- 26:36Speaker 3: apparently no more. He doesn't know for sure because she
- 26:40Speaker 3: ghosted him. But there is something that I want to
- 26:45Speaker 3: prepare you for, Trey, as a just in case. And
- 26:48Speaker 3: I'm doing this as a friend. And I didn't know
- 26:50Speaker 3: about this until I was doing a little research on ghosting.
- 26:55Speaker 3: There is something called ghost lighting. Ghost Lighting is a
- 27:03Speaker 3: toxic relationship in dating trend that combines ghosting abruptly vanishing
- 27:07Speaker 3: without explanation, and gas lighting, manipulating someone into doubting their
- 27:11Speaker 3: own reality. It happens when someone cuts off all contact
- 27:15Speaker 3: only to resurface later and manipulate the narrative so that
- 27:18Speaker 3: the disappearance seems fictional or entirely your fault.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I just wanted what.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You're warning me of that you think i'm you think
- 27:33Speaker 1: I'm some drooling idiot that is going to question my reality.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I'm not saying you're going to believe it.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I just want you prepared in case it happens, because
- 27:43Speaker 3: I did ask you the other day, what happens if
- 27:45Speaker 3: she were to come back around, and you said, well,
- 27:47Speaker 3: I'm not really sure. It kind of depends on what
- 27:49Speaker 3: she would say, but I don't think she would do this.
- 27:53Speaker 3: But honestly, I don't think we thought that she would
- 27:56Speaker 3: ghost you either. This is an absurd dating trend. The
- 28:00Speaker 3: fact that it exists at all is.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Mind numbing.
- 28:07Speaker 3: But it might be one of the craziest dating things
- 28:10Speaker 3: I have ever heard of. Like ghosting's bad enough, but
- 28:12Speaker 3: then to come back and combine ghosting and gas lighting
- 28:15Speaker 3: to create well ghost lighting and be like, I didn't
- 28:18Speaker 3: go anywhere, you're crazy.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I think some of it is, like we said, you know,
- 28:26Speaker 1: my initial post thought ghosting of something happened after a
- 28:28Speaker 1: couple of dates, you know, and that that scenario right there.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I can see where, you know, ghost lighting comes into play,
- 28:35Speaker 1: But after seven months, I think it takes on a
- 28:38Speaker 1: different form.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Just in case, at least you're aware. Jerry, have you
- 28:47Speaker 3: ever been ghosted? I? Have have you ever ghosted somebody?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Maybe? Yes?
- 28:55Speaker 3: It's it's like that statistic I threw up on social
- 28:57Speaker 3: media the other day. According to a study, three and
- 29:00Speaker 3: five adults have been ghosted, but also three and five
- 29:04Speaker 3: have ghosted them, you know others.
- 29:07Speaker 1: No.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I kind of think, Okay, don't do it people, you
- 29:11Speaker 2: can't really justify it. That being said, I think I
- 29:14Speaker 2: was justified.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Look, I also threw up on our Facebook and Instagram stories.
- 29:21Speaker 3: I threw up a quick poll where it's like, is
- 29:23Speaker 3: ghosting okay? Yes, no depends? Not a single vote for yes,
- 29:29Speaker 3: but it was split fifty to fifty between no and
- 29:32Speaker 3: depends right. And obviously I threw depend in because sometimes
- 29:38Speaker 3: it's not just a clear cut yes or no. There
- 29:40Speaker 3: can be extenuating circumstances trade situation. Doesn't sound like they
- 29:44Speaker 3: were any but I thought that was fascinating. Not a
- 29:47Speaker 3: single person is willing to vote yes, it's okay, But
- 29:50Speaker 3: still so many people have said that they've done it.
- 29:55Speaker 2: And it was never after that much time. It was
- 29:57Speaker 2: you know, you go out of first date, that's great,
- 30:00Speaker 2: Then the second one it's like, holy crap, that was crazy.
- 30:08Speaker 2: You know, don't could be wrong. I like the crazy,
- 30:10Speaker 2: but just you know, and then you.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And I think, if we're talking about ghosting in like
- 30:20Speaker 1: you go on two dates with someone and then you
- 30:21Speaker 1: just don't call them again. I think that's fine. I
- 30:29Speaker 1: think you don't really owe them any explanation.
- 30:33Speaker 3: You don't necessarily have to do an explanation. But I
- 30:35Speaker 3: think a quick hey, it was great to meet you.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I'm moving on just just since some sort of a
- 30:42Speaker 3: I'm a manner's person, so to me, it just seems
- 30:44Speaker 3: polite to be like, it's great to meet you, but
- 30:48Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I don't think it's a good idea for us to
- 30:50Speaker 2: hang out.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You're a manner's person. I am a man to take
- 30:54Speaker 1: the dishes out of the sink before you pee in it.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Look, I did that like two or three times.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Out of all the days I've spent on this earth
- 31:06Speaker 3: and all the times I've used to sync as a
- 31:07Speaker 3: normal person.
- 31:08Speaker 2: You're just cherry picking stuff.
- 31:10Speaker 1: And if you if you name you can name that
- 31:12Speaker 1: movie where that line comes from. Bonus points.
- 31:21Speaker 3: I'm just saying you do it a few times. That
- 31:25Speaker 3: doesn't mean that you I that you get labeled as
- 31:27Speaker 3: such for the rest of your life.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Steal Magnolias.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I need to rewatch that.
- 31:37Speaker 1: I will That is a hill, a hill I will
- 31:40Speaker 1: die on. That is one of the great movies. Great writing,
- 31:44Speaker 1: great characters, great casting. Uh. Shirley maclain was.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Phenomenal Olympia Ducucus and a very young Julia Roberts. Mm hmmm.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I don't think it's actually been that long since Tara
- 32:02Speaker 3: and I watched that. It's only been like, I think
- 32:03Speaker 3: we watched it like a handful of years ago. That's
- 32:05Speaker 3: a good movie, and it does offer up the line
- 32:10Speaker 3: about ping and the scene. I know, and if you're
- 32:15Speaker 3: a guy and you've seen that movie, when you get married,
- 32:17Speaker 3: you're like, can I have an armadilla cake.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Here?
- 32:24Speaker 2: Have you ever seen it? I have?
- 32:28Speaker 3: Okay, just making sure first sec you look in a
- 32:30Speaker 3: confused and Tom Scaret mm hmm. I think that's actually
- 32:35Speaker 3: how my mom convinced me to watch the movie. She said, well,
- 32:38Speaker 3: it's got the commanding officer from Top Gun in it.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I was like, okay. When I was growing up, my
- 32:44Speaker 2: adoptive parents were old enough to be my grandparents. So
- 32:46Speaker 2: I have seen Steel, Magnolia's and Cocoon and you know
- 32:52Speaker 2: all the old folks fair of the eighties and nineties.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I've you're all caught up on Matt Locke. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:00Speaker 3: and Murder. She wrote, yeah, oh, you watched it, absolutely
- 33:06Speaker 3: you did. And in the heat of the night, Yes,
- 33:10Speaker 3: that was one of my dad's favorite shows. What do
- 33:15Speaker 3: old people watch these days?
- 33:16Speaker 2: Oh? No, it's whatever we watch. I was about to say,
- 33:20Speaker 2: what are we watching?
- 33:21Speaker 1: I was about to say CBS.
- 33:24Speaker 2: That's true.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I have not jumped the old person shark so much
- 33:28Speaker 3: that I watch anything that's on CBS.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I don't need to see ncis Albuquerque for Wait? Is
- 33:38Speaker 2: that a thing? I give it time? I probably Okay, okay, okay.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I can at least feel like I have some cool
- 33:49Speaker 3: points because if we're the old people now, like whatever
- 33:52Speaker 3: we watches the old people programming, be like I watched
- 33:55Speaker 3: The Boys. I would love to I would love to
- 33:59Speaker 3: see my grandmother's face if you're alive, be like, okay, okay, grandmother.
- 34:03Speaker 3: I'll tell you what I'll watch. I'll watch this episode
- 34:05Speaker 3: of matt Lock with you. If you watch just one
- 34:08Speaker 3: scene of the Boys with me.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Dan, how far along you are are you in season five?
- 34:15Speaker 3: I am caught up with the exception of I've got
- 34:18Speaker 3: thirty minutes of the most recent episode to finish.
- 34:21Speaker 1: So you've seen the deeps yea, his taint Tanner.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I saw the ass murder scene, Yes, I have I
- 34:31Speaker 3: have a I have a brief theory on this final
- 34:33Speaker 3: season of the.
- 34:34Speaker 1: No, not not the ass murder.
- 34:37Speaker 2: There's may I don't think i've seen yet they do.
- 34:42Speaker 1: There, it's a quick clip of Deep doing like an
- 34:45Speaker 1: infomercial for the taint. Yeah, he's got the his legs
- 34:48Speaker 1: up like that video.
- 34:51Speaker 2: He's balls, he's a ball radiating or whatever.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Yeah, there's like a red light therapy for yeah, the taint.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Uh huh. So.
- 34:58Speaker 3: My my theory on this final season of The Boys
- 35:01Speaker 3: is this is a show that's already known for shock factor,
- 35:04Speaker 3: shock value, not just visually, but just dialogue as well.
- 35:09Speaker 3: I feel like this season they've amped it up because
- 35:12Speaker 3: I feel like they've got like just a book full
- 35:17Speaker 3: of crazy stuff to do and crazy stuff to say
- 35:22Speaker 3: that they've built up over the previous four seasons, and
- 35:25Speaker 3: now that they're in the fifth and final season.
- 35:28Speaker 2: They are unloading.
- 35:32Speaker 3: All of it in this final season, and I applaud
- 35:35Speaker 3: them for it.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It's been a boozy so far. Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 2: One of the things I was waiting for was the
- 35:44Speaker 2: f and diabolical line for the season, and this one
- 35:49Speaker 2: was the most lackluster delivery of all of them so far.
- 35:51Speaker 2: I think.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Have you seen the ass murder scene? I don't think
- 35:58Speaker 3: I know what you're talking about.

- 36:58Speaker 2: Jerry, are you uh? Is that a? Is that a
- 37:01Speaker 2: clam puppet on your hand?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Prop comic?
- 37:08Speaker 2: Now I don't hear you, Jerry, I'm sorry, Yes, that
- 37:14Speaker 2: is a Boston Bay clam.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Since we were just talking about the boys traded? You
- 37:20Speaker 3: catch the line in a previous episode? Did you catch
- 37:24Speaker 3: the line this season where someone told the Deep that
- 37:27Speaker 3: he clams, that he clam dives clams, and then I
- 37:36Speaker 3: believe he protested too much, saying.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I don't do that. I still have questions about the octopus.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Say this is coming from the guy that did have
- 37:47Speaker 3: a romantic relationship with an octopus. Immediately after the ass
- 37:55Speaker 3: murder scene, I was thinking to myself, how can someone
- 37:59Speaker 3: explain the show to anyone? Because if you try to
- 38:01Speaker 3: explain it, they're never going to believe you.
- 38:04Speaker 2: The only thing you can really do is just say,
- 38:08Speaker 2: watch an episode. Watch the first one. Yeah, I mean
- 38:13Speaker 2: it starts out pretty strong.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Yep. It sets a tone, and the victim of the
- 38:19Speaker 1: ass murder's final line was also just.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Which was.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Not the effect. My asshole really hurts.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Put that on the tombstone.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Huh.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Anyway, Jerry, I'd get caught up if yeah, yeah, all right.
- 38:47Speaker 3: A Florida veteran faked being blind for years, then he
- 38:51Speaker 3: got busted doing everything blind people are not supposed to do.
- 38:57Speaker 3: He pleaded guilty after collecting nearly two hundred and forty
- 39:00Speaker 3: five thousand dollars in disability benefits while claiming he was
- 39:04Speaker 3: legally blind. Meanwhile, prosecutors say this guy was driving, reading,
- 39:09Speaker 3: working security out of school, and worked as a firearms specialist.
- 39:15Speaker 2: So he wasn't very good at, you know, pretending to
- 39:19Speaker 2: be blind. Just when he would go to the VA.
- 39:25Speaker 2: When he'd leave the VA, he would just run a muck.
- 39:28Speaker 3: As far as doing everything blind people are not supposed
- 39:31Speaker 3: to do.
- 39:32Speaker 1: I was gonna sarcastically say, you know what, was he
- 39:35Speaker 1: playing darts? But yeah, yeah, that pales in comparison to firearms.
- 39:39Speaker 2: It truly does.
- 39:41Speaker 3: This is one of those cases where real life takes
- 39:44Speaker 3: your takes our joke, and it's like.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Holding my beer. I mean, that's an entirely different news
- 39:51Speaker 2: story blind firearms expert. Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Uh So that gets us to our final story inside
- 40:03Speaker 3: the Treehouse this week, because we did start on a
- 40:07Speaker 3: couple of sad notes this week, one Tray being ghosted
- 40:10Speaker 3: by his girlfriend and two the guy who decided to
- 40:14Speaker 3: commit suicide by jet at the Denver International Airport. This
- 40:20Speaker 3: last story is more closely related to jumping into a
- 40:24Speaker 3: jet engine story, although still sad. A cruise guest, a
- 40:32Speaker 3: Carnival cruise guest, died after she drove off a peer
- 40:38Speaker 3: on her scooter. I feel like this could have been
- 40:47Speaker 3: avoided because it's not like those things go so fast
- 40:53Speaker 3: that you can't catch up to them and stop them.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Lettle anyway, Okay, so she was late back from the excursion.
- 41:04Speaker 3: A Carnival Cruise Line guest died after driving a mobility
- 41:07Speaker 3: scooter off the pier at the private Bahamas Destination Celebration Key.
- 41:13Speaker 3: The incident took place May ninth, while Carnival Celebration ship
- 41:16Speaker 3: was visiting. Carnival teams responded, successfully retrieving her from the water,
- 41:21Speaker 3: although it was too late. The ship was on a
- 41:24Speaker 3: week long Eastern Caribbean cruise at the time. The Royal
- 41:28Speaker 3: Bahamas Police Force said in a news release that initial
- 41:31Speaker 3: investigations found that the guest, who was eighty eight years
- 41:33Speaker 3: old and from the United States, reportedly lost control of
- 41:36Speaker 3: the scooter and is believed to have struck her head
- 41:38Speaker 3: against the hull of the vessel before the water.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Identity has not been released.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Yeah, pinning the autopsy because evidently at eighty eight and
- 41:53Speaker 1: driving a scooter, you you still have questions.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Sorry, that was in poor taste, That was the wrong button.
- 42:04Speaker 2: There we go.
- 42:06Speaker 1: That you're gonna go with a splash, that's next, there
- 42:12Speaker 1: we go. R P Grammy mm hmm. Hey, but you
- 42:20Speaker 1: know what solid way to go.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It's way better and getting sucked into a jet engine. Yeah,
- 42:27Speaker 3: I mean you when you really, really really love the
- 42:30Speaker 3: cruise ship.
- 42:33Speaker 2: It does. Actually, Jerry, you bring up a good point.
- 42:34Speaker 2: It does make you wonder.
- 42:35Speaker 3: It's like, was she really worried about being left and
- 42:37Speaker 3: that's why she was going full speed back at it?
- 42:40Speaker 2: I don't know what exactly is full speed for a lark.
- 42:46Speaker 2: I don't even know.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Isn't that like yours? I mean, I don't really know
- 42:54Speaker 3: what the top end is on on the mobility scooters
- 42:59Speaker 3: because their mobility scooters they're not you know, they're not
- 43:01Speaker 3: supposed to be street vehicles. Although she might have had
- 43:06Speaker 3: a souped up one o, they should have put floaties on.
- 43:11Speaker 2: It would appeared the maximum speeds about four miles an hour.
- 43:17Speaker 3: So yeah, very brisk walk. Someone couldn't catch exactly. Someone
- 43:24Speaker 3: gonna get sued.
- 43:28Speaker 1: She might have just taken that hard right turn into
- 43:31Speaker 1: the into heaven.
- 43:38Speaker 3: I feel like someone said that about Dale Learnart too.
- 43:46Speaker 3: This a little scooter with some wings on it?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Wait, what was it? Hang on? What was the Denver
- 43:53Speaker 1: the airport story?
- 43:55Speaker 2: The guy that got sucked into the jet engine?
- 43:57Speaker 1: I thought you had an update on that.
- 44:00Speaker 3: He was crazy, Oh and kind of an a hole.
- 44:03Speaker 3: I believe the headlines I saw were correct.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Oh that's a shocker.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it turns out jumping over a perimeter fence at
- 44:14Speaker 3: an international airport, running onto a jetway and thrusting yourself
- 44:20Speaker 3: or standing in front of a jet engine was intentional.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure we all thought that was the case.
- 44:30Speaker 1: And the attorney they've already lined up the sude Denver Airport.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Are you gonna try to say it's an attractive nuisance
- 44:41Speaker 3: like a pool in the backyard. For all things Treehouse,
