- 2:02- that no burden is too heavy when we
- 2:04- place it in the hands of the one
- 2:06- who is always
- 2:08- faithful. I'll see you there.
- 2:22- Welcome to the divine five one five podcast.
- 2:26- Here is today's prayer.
- 2:33- Hello, and welcome to define five one five
- 2:36- daily prayers with Valerie Rocha.
- 2:39- I want to tackle today's prayer
- 2:42- with
- 2:43- how to pray
- 2:45- for others by becoming an encourager.
- 2:49- Scripture text comes from first Thessalonians five eleven
- 2:52- and says, therefore, encourage one another
- 2:54- and build each other.
- 2:57- Now I wanna open up this,
- 3:01- prayer of the so by first telling you
- 3:03- all how much I appreciate you all.
- 3:06- You have
- 3:07- allowed me to be able to pray for
- 3:10- you and encourage you. And you've done that
- 3:13- through telling me what your prayer needs
- 3:16- are. And as an intercessor,
- 3:18- that is my happy place. And it is
- 3:21- my joy to encourage
- 3:23- you.
- 3:24- So
- 3:26- that being said,
- 3:28- I wanna talk about how your words are
- 3:30- powerful
- 3:31- and you can make a difference.
- 3:34- And the way this works is that we
- 3:37- know that words have the power to build
- 3:39- or to break, Right?
- 3:40- If somebody says one positive thing to you,
- 3:44- you may or may not remember it too
- 3:46- long. But if someone says something negative to
- 3:48- you, you will remember it,
- 3:51- ruminate over it,
- 3:54- and worry about it all night long. Right?
- 3:58- What's even more so is the fact that
- 4:00- in today's fast paced world, criticism is so
- 4:03- common, but genuine encouragement
- 4:05- is rare.
- 4:06- And so you never know who is silently
- 4:09- carrying the burden or questioning whether they have
- 4:11- the strength to keep going. Right. Because unless
- 4:13- they're vocal about it, some people hold on
- 4:17- to whatever it is that they're struggling with
- 4:19- and and and simmer with it. Whereas other
- 4:21- words may be a bit more vocal,
- 4:25- but
- 4:26- one encouraging word, one thoughtful message, or one
- 4:30- sincere prayer can become God's reminder that they
- 4:33- are not alone.
- 4:35- So wherever you are
- 4:37- on the scale,
- 4:38- remember,
- 4:39- your words
- 4:40- have power.
- 4:42- The scripture says that death and life is
- 4:44- in the power of the tongue.
- 4:46- So while you're creating as you speak,
- 4:48- speak life, not only into your old self,
- 4:51- but into others as well.
- 4:54- That being said, let's go to the throne.
- 4:57- Heavenly father, help us become
- 5:01- people who strengthen others with our words and
- 5:04- actions.
- 5:05- Open up our eyes to notice those who
- 5:07- are discouraged,
- 5:08- overlooked, or carrying burdens in silence.
- 5:11- Let our conversations reflect your kindness
- 5:15- and our prayers reflect your compassion.
- 5:18- Use us to bring hope where there is
- 5:20- despair and encouragement
- 5:22- where there is weariness.
- 5:24- May our life point others to you, and
- 5:27- we will bless you in Jesus' name. Amen.
- 5:33- Today's challenge is to ask God to place
- 5:36- one person on your heart who needs encouragement,
- 5:39- then act on it.
- 5:41- If this has encouraged you,
- 5:44- Share.
- 5:46- And
- 5:47- encourage
- 5:48- others
- 5:49- to join the prayer community.
- 5:52- And until tomorrow,
- 5:53- keep meeting God at the throne.
- 5:57- Have a great day.
