  [SPEAKER_00]: Vince O'Lack of ESPN who, you know, I don't know about you all, but I've been following him forever since he was doing what the locked on NFL draft podcast with, uh, Trevor Sikema, Tampa Bay Tray.

  [SPEAKER_00]: his bold prediction for the Houston Texans to win the AFC and make it all the way to the Super Bowl.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's basically a coin flip who's better between the Jaguars and the Texans, but I have, you know, maybe it's my bias, maybe it's not whatever.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I based on my analysis, I have the Jaguars as a better team than the Texans, moving into 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Or we're going to talk about why, we're going to talk about what been so like, thanks here for the Texans, you know, winning the F.C.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Talked about how, they were almost a generational defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But it was just like there was three generational defenses out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One year, the Broncos, the Texans, and even the Seahawks, the incredible defense last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the Texans lose no one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They lose no one on their defensive coaching staff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Demiko Ryan's and Matt Burke.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Demiko Ryan's head coach but has a huge influence on the defense and Matt Burke.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They lose no one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: No one, everybody's back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they add, read, blank and ship, who is a good player from the,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Philadelphia Eagles, the ad Logan Hall, who is a good rotational player from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They add Dominique Robinson, who is a decent rotational player, both of those guys up front from the Chicago Bears.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In the draft, they went and got, Kamari Ramsey, Wade Woodhouse, Aiden Fisher, and they added Kaden McDonald.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The biggest issue in my opinion with their defensive front was they didn't have somebody to just go dominate.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to strength holding the point, being a brick wall, Kate McDonald can do that and he has more upside than that, too, I mean, that was a heck of a pick in the second

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it on paper should be the best evens in football and on paper includes their actual roster talent on defense, the coaching on defense, like it should be incredible.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's not a single weakness I can really point at that I think is significant.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Frontline talent is elite at edge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's really good at linebacker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Secondary is second to none.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's Derek Stingley, Kailumbo look, Reed Blankenship, Kamari Lasseter, Jalen Petrie, and good backups at everyone of those spots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But my issue here is so lack over on ESPN, wrote that the Texans offense has the potential to have a seahawks like glow up in 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple things that hold me back from feeling confident that that will be the case.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I know everybody wants to like throw CJA strad out with the bathwater if that's the proper terminology.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, that phrasing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But to me, CJA strad's still a good player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's been more about what's been around him for the last couple years than about his own inadequacies.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's developed some bad habits and trying to deal with this horrible offensive line, all these different things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think adding a braid and smith that right tackle, bringing keel and ruttlage, even if it was a little bit of a reach in the first round, potentially, still a good player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna try to run the football downhill with David Montgomery.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But still, on this offensive line, I still don't feel great about it, like Ursary, you're banking on having a hugely forward in year two, and maybe he can do that, but I don't think that that's written in stone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Wyatt Teller has not been like the dominant Wyatt Teller that we saw earlier in his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he'll continue to play that way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's like a better offensive line than what they've had.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's anywhere near like stalwart, top 10.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think they're hoping to be middle of the pack on the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think if you're hoping to be middle of the pack on the offensive line that you need some damn good offensive coaching.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The jury, I think it's fair to say, is still out on Nick Kayley, but again, so like made the comparison of the Seahawks offense, not by scheme or structure or anything like that, but just like the Seahawks could do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Clint Kubiak was such an amazing offensive coordinator last year, and Seattle, and the year before that in New Orleans, we haven't seen anything like that from Nick Cayley, as an offensive coordinator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying he can't be, but I'm just saying, when I look at this offensive line, when I look at this offensive coordinator, compare it to the Seahawks last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I really don't, even if I like CJ Strava more than I like Sam Darnon.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's gone through a lot more in his career and grown and stuff, but like, and look, I mean, I like David Montgomery as much as the next guy, but let's not confuse him with Kenneth Gainwell with his explosive ability.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But in like Dalton Sholtz, Foster Morrow, Marlin Klein, I like that tight in room.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And offensive line that matches up with what the Seahawks were able to do on the offensive line last year, or an offensive coordinator who matches up with Clinkoobiac.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I don't agree like if I had to predict it, do I think the Texans are gonna win the AFC?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're right there neck and neck with the Jag wars, but when I talk about the Jags, I see a more well rounded football team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you got a lot to prove, but he's a really good athlete, played a lot at USC, etc.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, I think the offensive line does hinge on COVID-19 in health and how

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're more well rounded with the coaching with the talent on both sides of the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you put the four sides of the ball for the jag wars and the Texans, you know, jag wars offense, Texans offense, Texans defense, Texans offense.
