- 1:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We want to make that 3,000 cities worldwide, and our big, big, big goal of helping at least 3 billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond, which I know we can do.
- 1:18Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're well on our way to doing it, and we can't do it without you.

- 1:29Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're grateful to have you uh with us on this particular episode of the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast.
- 1:41Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So this episode is gonna step into I guess you can call it pop culture.
- 1:50Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh we're still talking and sharing voices.
- 2:03Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So let's start there.
- 2:06Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So just recently uh the uh Grammy Awards looks like uh were held.
- 2:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so there are it's an award show, it's the easiest way to put it.
- 2:25Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's an award show.
- 2:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh the the winners are announced uh if they're in uh in the uh the the studio or in the arena and they won.
- 2:43Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You know, they get to go up on stage and uh give an acceptance speech.
- 2:50Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh usually the acceptance speech uh goes something like this.
- 2:55Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You know, I want to thank uh you know everybody who has helped me on this journey, you know, my parents, my family, uh, my manager.
- 3:08Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh you get the idea.
- 3:12Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so usually that's how the acceptance speech goes.
- 3:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: However, recently, last several years, the Grammy Award, I guess, winner speech has stepped into political views, uh things that are going on in the world that they don't agree with or that they do agree with.
- 3:50Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh some of that can be seen on some of the uh the attendees, um of their outfits, some of their dresses, some of what what they what they wear to the show itself.
- 4:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You know, having certain slogans on on their uh on their attire.
- 4:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So we're talking about a voices, right?
- 4:20Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Everybody has a voice.
- 4:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're sharing that and those each and every show.
- 4:30Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so we're gonna jump into uh basically three three of the acceptance speeches.
- 4:43Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So the first one, you may know, Jelly Roll.
- 4:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so he won an award at the Grammys, and he talked about and pulled out the Bible from his pocket and say how how Jesus saved him, the importance of the Bible.
- 5:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That if he saved him being jelly roll, he can save us.
- 5:24Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And that I think was a try not to give too much opinions on this, but it was really remarkable to have somebody in pop culture come on stage in front of however many people were present at the award ceremony, as well as whoever watched and listened, to have somebody talk about God and Jesus and the Bible.
- 6:07Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so that was the first one.
- 6:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That was the first acceptance speech that uh that we're talking about.
- 6:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So it's just remarkable because it's I think it's the first time it's ever happened.
- 6:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So that's why it's newsworthy, that's why we're sharing it on our show, uh, why we think it's important enough to talk about.
- 6:32Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You don't have to be a believer.
- 6:35Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Jelly Roll is just sharing his beliefs and a way that has helped him over the course of time.
- 6:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so I look at that as a positive a positive speech because he wants to help people, he's sharing this helped me, this can help you as well.
- 7:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So again, regardless of you have the same belief as Jolly Roll or not, just the fact that it was more on the positive side, as opposed to these next two acceptance speeches that we're gonna talk about.
- 7:39Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so the second one, we talked about on an earlier show, about the halftime performance and the competition, uh, bad bunny, and then the you know, the great American halftime show as an alternative to watch.
- 8:04Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Well, the uh the halftime show that the National Football League for American Football Super Bowl goes on.
- 8:19Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so it gives people choice, right?
- 8:23Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Should have an ability to have a choice.
- 8:26Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You have the ability and the choice to watch or listen to our podcast, our TV show, and you also have the chance to watch and listen to another one.
- 8:40Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You have a choice, and so that's all that's going on there.
- 8:47Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And you know, we talked about that and previously where Bad Bunny said, hey, you know, you have this many months to learn Spanish, and we talked about how we juxtaposed that with the the Olympics, and you know, when you're on when you're in a different country, as I've been in multiple, the pride, the I'll say pride, the uh people just really value the the country that they they live in, and so that that's part of like okay, we accept you, bad Bonnie.
- 9:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We accept you into the United States from a performance standpoint.
- 9:41Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: American football is that the right call for a halftime performance at American football super bowl.
- 9:54Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know.
- 9:56Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh that's that's way above my pay grade, so I I don't know.
- 10:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh I'm just echoing what what the buzz is, I guess you can call it.
- 10:10Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So that that has that's part of it.
- 10:14Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Part of that Grammy acceptance.
- 10:23Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Then there's another part.
- 10:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And this really connects with the third one as well.
- 10:32Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And it was I I'm not gonna say the the the the cuss word.
- 10:38Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm just gonna say both Bad Bunny and Billy Eilish, who's who's the third that we're gonna talk about.
- 10:49Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: They said F ice.
- 10:53Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: F ice.
- 10:55Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: F ice.
- 10:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So ICE is the organization that is part of the law, the laws here in the United States to investigate, to potentially arrest, to potentially deport individuals who are in the United States illegally.
- 11:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so I don't make this very straightforward.
- 11:39Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We are voices for every single person across the world.
- 11:45Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: However, that includes following the law and the laws.
- 12:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so when Bad Bonnie and Billy Eilish say F ice, like will mistakes happen?
- 12:13Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're human beings.
- 12:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Again, I'm not giving ice a pass.
- 12:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: All I'm trying to say is when you're dealing with humans, that sometimes mistakes happen.
- 12:35Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But just to be upset at an organization and a group doing what it's doing that is covered under the law, they're allowed to have their opinions, just like we are.
- 13:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So I'm not here to debash Bad Bunny, debash Billy Eilish, or anybody else that comes out.
- 13:08Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: They're entitled to their opinion, and that's that's okay.
- 13:13Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're also entitled to our opinion, and that's okay.
- 13:20Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So we do represent every voice of every person across the world.
- 13:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Voices for voices.
- 13:31Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That doesn't mean we get to break the law, uh kick in vehicles, stand in front of vehicles All the different things.
- 13:53Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's not that's not silent protest.
- 13:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's getting in in the way of people that are following the law as much as possible.
- 14:14Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know, maybe Bad Bunny knows somebody or knew somebody that is in our United States of America illegally, meaning they haven't followed the right process.
- 14:32Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: If you go to another country, you don't just get to go in and just start collecting the benefits of that country.
- 14:50Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: At least the countries I've been in, you don't you don't get to do that.
- 14:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So why would why why do people think that it's okay to do that here?
- 15:05Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And think that like, well, we're not gonna have repercussions for that.
- 15:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so that was part of Bad Bonnie and Billy Eilish's acceptance speech, is they were talking like that, and you know, the language too.
- 15:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: If we're having a suppose a kid-friendly show, and then people start dropping F-bombs, and you know, and then there's people who are going, you know, obviously gonna clap, and you know, they'll do a standing ovation or what whatever they'll do.
- 15:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's okay, they have that right to do that.
- 15:54Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But when you have a show for kids, or where kids could potentially be watching, we're teaching them that we can just swear, use cuss words, not even getting into the topic.
- 16:21Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And then we get to the the third, the third.
- 16:26Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Billy Eilish.
- 16:29Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So Billy didn't just do the F-Ice the F ice, and so I'm gonna I'm gonna be quoting probably a couple different outlets here.
- 16:50Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Actually, it looks like it's the same same outlet.
- 16:52Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm gonna be quoting from the California Post directly.
- 17:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Quote, Lefty pop star Billy Eilish is facing calls to hand over her ritzy Los Angeles digs to a Native American tribe or legal immigrant after she declared no one is illegal on stolen land at the sixty eighth annual Grammy Awards ceremony.
- 17:33Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And the highlight topic wise as far as what catches our attention, so this was on Instagram, quote from California Post, quote, stolen land, Grammy's rant explodes in Billy Eilish's face as critics demand she hand over her luxury homes.
- 17:59Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: End quote second part, or I guess third part.
- 18:07Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's all about the F Ice and then this part.
- 18:10Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Then there's a third part, again from the California Post.
- 18:15Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: The headline reads quote, Cheeky Law Firm offers to help Native American tribe evict Billy Eilish from their land after smug Grammy's rant, referring to Billy Eilish.
- 18:35Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so a little bit more in depth from the California Post Quote A brash California law firm has offered to help evict Billy Eilish on behalf of Native American tribe that owns the land, the singer's multimillion dollar LA or Los Angeles mansion after the pop star's self-righteous rant at the Grammys backfired.
- 19:13Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And then the last of the California Post quote a brash California law firm has offered to evict Billy Eilish on behalf of the Native American tribe that owns the land under the Singer's multimillion dollar Los Angeles mansion after the pop star self-righteous rant at the Grammys backfire.
- 19:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Still in quote, but this is from the law firm.
- 19:50Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Quote, it's incredibly hypocritical of Hollywood elites to preach from their gated and guarded property.
- 20:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Avi Sinai, the owner of the law the firm, said So there's just a lot going on there.
- 20:10Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: There's a lot going on.
- 20:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so sometimes we find that there's not research or due diligence that's done before you know speeches.
- 20:31Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: They say what's on their mind, what's on their heart.
- 20:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's okay.
- 20:36Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're all entitled to that.
- 20:39Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Billy's entitled to her opinion.
- 20:42Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Bad bunny is entitled to his opinion.
- 20:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm entitled to mine.
- 20:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so we have people that have their speeches and they choose to use them different ways.
- 21:10Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So at the beginning of the show, we talked about jelly roll and how he he brought out the Bible, talked about how it saved him.
- 21:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's a positive.
- 21:25Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's a positive speech to talk talk about that.
- 21:31Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And I'm not saying that because I'm a believer too.
- 21:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm just saying it's a positive thing, saying, look, this helped me.
- 21:40Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: This helped me.
- 21:43Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: This helped me.
- 21:45Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Maybe it'll help you.
- 21:49Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's a positive way to use your time.
- 21:56Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: At the acceptance podium.
- 22:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And then we juxtaposed the bad bunny comment against ice about the Super Bowl halftime show.
- 22:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: People just gotta live with it.
- 22:12Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Learn Spanish.
- 22:15Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: F ice and then Billy Eilish F ice and then talking about the land where the land that her, at least one of her mansions, is on isn't hers.
- 22:39Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It was the Native Americans the Native American tribe.
- 22:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so there was a little more research done with Billy and Bad Bonnie, then maybe it wouldn't be getting so much so much airplay.
- 23:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And I reiterate, we're voices for voices, including all voices, including Billy's, including Bad Bonnie's.
- 23:43Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Again, we're voices for voices.
- 23:47Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But that does not mean that we can break laws and and then just go on with our life.
- 24:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're still voices for voices.
- 24:04Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: However, you break the law, you break the law.
- 24:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And if you're telling people to break the law, and you're rallying people up and saying F ice, and people are clapping, and and they're feeling empowered to do things like breaking the law.
- 24:28Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Or breaking the laws.
- 24:31Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Breaking one law or more than one.
- 24:41Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: In our you know, in our minds.
- 24:44Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: When we make comments, when we talk, I'm not perfect, nobody's perfect.
- 24:56Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't really have one way or another an opinion because we're voices for voices of everybody.
- 25:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're entitled to their opinion.
- 25:11Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're entitled to ours.
- 25:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It just might not be the best way to use primetime TV to talk about these things.
- 25:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You know, if we're gonna talk about the land and we haven't checked to see if our very home is on land that was of a Native American tribe, but yet we're gonna get in front of a microphone and a camera and hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of people and say what we said.
- 26:05Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We can't get upset at people who are saying, wait a minute, your your mansion is actually on Native American land, and with ice, they're upholding law and laws that are on the books.
- 26:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I get it, people are unhappy.
- 26:36Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Not everybody's gonna be happy.
- 26:38Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We don't live in this utopian world.
- 26:41Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It'd be nice, be nice.
- 26:44Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Everything was just so happy, and nobody ever got hurt.
- 26:54Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Unfortunately, we we know that people can can get can get hurt not only physically but mentally by words, by actions.
- 27:14Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And if we're wanna if we want to be a role model for for people, we should think about that.
- 27:32Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Maybe Billy, maybe Bad Bunny, maybe they just got caught up in the moment and felt the need that they could say things that they were thinking privately, or their publicists said that you should talk about this.
- 27:49Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know.
- 27:52Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But the more investigation and more research we do, especially when we've got this big megaphone, this big microphone, this big camera that's beaming our show all across the world.
- 28:08Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's beaming the Grammy Awards all across the world.
- 28:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You can't have it both ways, and so that's why I said from the beginning, we're voices for voices for everybody.
- 28:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Doesn't mean we have to agree with everything that everybody says, but what it does mean is everybody has that chance, that option.
- 28:45Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We've invited basically everybody on our show to be a guest to talk about these topics.
- 28:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Talk about other topics.
- 29:03Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Talk about happy topics, talk about unfortunate topics.
- 29:15Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So just wanted to bring this up.
- 29:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Some pop culture, but still voice.
- 29:21Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Billy and Bad Bonnie and Jelly Roll, they use their their voice kind of in three different ways.
- 29:32Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: The last two are similar-ish.
- 29:42Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So it just gives us something to think about.
- 29:48Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It shows how quickly news moves too, as well.
- 29:53Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: How quickly an Instagram post.
- 30:04Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Or a Facebook post or a TikTok.
- 30:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: How it can reach millions and billions of people.
- 30:20Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So let's just think about what we say.
- 30:25Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Again, we're not perfect.
- 30:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: There are gonna be times where we I don't even know if flub is the right is uh is a word first, but there's gonna be times where we're going to be like, oh man, I shouldn't have wouldn't have said that.
- 30:42Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: If it's on tape, it's on recording.
- 30:45Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Can't deny I didn't say it.
- 30:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I mean, come out and say I should have done a little more research.
- 30:57Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But what we're talking about are facts or things and words that were that were uh said.
- 31:09Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So we can argue about what what like what what the topics were and all that, but these words were actually said, so these are facts.
- 31:18Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So people may not like that, people may not like the fact we're talking about this.
- 31:29Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's okay.
- 31:33Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Thank you for joining us on this episode of the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast.
- 31:38Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: If you can reach out to 25 of your uh contacts, let them know about the voices for voices podcast TV show.
- 31:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We greatly appreciate that.
- 31:48Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: You can give us a big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, let them know about voices for voices.
- 31:55Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We greatly appreciate it.
- 31:57Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And we are a 501c3 nonprofit.
- 32:00Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: If you live here in the United States, you can donate at lovevoices.org, lovevoices.org, lovevoices.org, and one more time, spelled out L-O-V-E, V-O-I, C E S dot O-R-G.
- 32:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Thank you so much.
- 32:24Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We'll see you on the next show.
- 32:26Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Let's celebrate the voice of others, even if even if it is different than ours, even if it's on a topic and uh on uh an opinion we believe or we don't believe, let's still celebrate all the voices of the world.
- 32:47Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And until next time, just the now and A's, voices for voices.
- 32:52Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Let's please be a voice for you or somebody in need.
- 32:57Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We'll see you next time, everybody.
- 32:59Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Sending love vibes, good vibes your way.
