- 0:06Speaker 1: Let's get into some top blockchains today. We're going to
- 0:08Speaker 1: do an interview for you guys that I think you
- 0:09Speaker 1: will not want to miss, and it's all about American
- 0:11Speaker 1: made crypto. My name is Pelbara. Welcome back into tech
- 0:14Speaker 1: Path today. We want to dive in a little deeper
- 0:16Speaker 1: with one of our channel partners and that is Swee.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Of course joining us now is at Ane a biodin.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I think I get that right at any so's perfect.
- 0:26Speaker 1: See I'm trying. Thanks for coming in today, We appreciate it.
- 0:28Speaker 1: CEO and founder and CPO over at Misston Labs.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Of course, thank you very much. It's great to be here.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So we had aving on. We had a chance to
- 0:37Speaker 1: really dive deep with him, a great video. A lot
- 0:39Speaker 1: of people really love what Swee is doing as a network.
- 0:43Speaker 1: And if you look at the scenario that I think
- 0:46Speaker 1: a lot of people are looking at now, is the
- 0:48Speaker 1: whole idea of American or crypto that's American based. Obviously
- 0:53Speaker 1: the Trump administration really getting into that. There's a whole
- 0:55Speaker 1: category now over on coin market Cap. Sue of course
- 0:59Speaker 1: is now now one of those tokens that have been
- 1:01Speaker 1: identified as projects that are kind of made in America
- 1:05Speaker 1: when you look at building blockchains now under this new administration,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and SWEE has been somewhat of a global entity, obviously
- 1:14Speaker 1: based in the United States. Are you guys planning on
- 1:18Speaker 1: bringing more of your operations back into the US now
- 1:21Speaker 1: that we have a new admin.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, it's a good time.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I think the shift is certainly happening in terms of
- 1:29Speaker 3: more favorable abilities for crypto companies to build in the States.
- 1:35Speaker 3: As many people know, we were the original team behind
- 1:38Speaker 3: the Libra project of Facebook, which through regulatory governmental project pressures,
- 1:42Speaker 3: couldn't actually launch. We left Facebook to fulfill the dream
- 1:46Speaker 3: of actually building a global system for everybody to have
- 1:50Speaker 3: access to their own assets and that became sweet.
- 1:53Speaker 2: So mis Labs is the original contributor to SWEE.
- 1:55Speaker 3: We recently joined the Blocksain Association in the Chamber of
- 1:57Speaker 3: Commerce and we're actually having active costations in regards to
- 2:01Speaker 3: upcoming regulatory changes that will happen that will be favorable
- 2:05Speaker 3: to crypto and we hope these things happen really quickly.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Well, listen, I think the key is really understanding where
- 2:11Speaker 1: the technology transition is happening for blockchain around this administration,
- 2:15Speaker 1: because they're kind of getting well David Sachs is a
- 2:18Speaker 1: good I think he's a good emissary because he understands
- 2:21Speaker 1: blockchain in general rather than just being a bitcoiner. People
- 2:24Speaker 1: understand that it's a much broader market. There's a lot
- 2:27Speaker 1: more opportunity here. So to your point, let me jump
- 2:30Speaker 1: over to the Walrus launch, because this is something that
- 2:33Speaker 1: everybody's very excited about. Walrus course is now launching. Some
- 2:37Speaker 1: of you, guys, if you don't know much about this
- 2:39Speaker 1: is a head to head comparison to file coin, our
- 2:41Speaker 1: weave storage. You guys have seen us talk about this.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Tell me about Walrus. When do you think this is
- 2:47Speaker 1: going to go live and any goodness that you can
- 2:49Speaker 1: share with our audience.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so waas is going to be live early this year,
- 2:53Speaker 3: so the main that date is actually very soon. It's
- 2:56Speaker 3: been in Teslina for a few months and it's done
- 2:58Speaker 3: really really well. Waris ultimately is what decentralized aws is,
- 3:03Speaker 3: but on steroids. A lot of these other storage networks
- 3:07Speaker 3: are really just dumb storage, and dumb storage is cheap.
- 3:09Speaker 3: You can just throw a file a blob on the
- 3:11Speaker 3: Internet and somehow you retrieve it. Some of them do
- 3:13Speaker 3: not give you guarantee to the files actually stored. Some
- 3:16Speaker 3: of them require you to pay one hundred years in
- 3:17Speaker 3: advance for the storage, which makes no sense, and there's
- 3:20Speaker 3: no way to update the files.
- 3:22Speaker 2: There are lots of you know, I.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Would say poor engineering decisions that's led to really poor
- 3:27Speaker 3: decentilized storage. WARRIS is on a different level. It's built
- 3:30Speaker 3: specifically to become the decentralized version of what Amazon offers today,
- 3:36Speaker 3: so you can actually use the same Amazon APIs to
- 3:40Speaker 3: use a decentilized storage layer like WARS, which is exciting.
- 3:43Speaker 3: So people will be able to store the entire websitees,
- 3:46Speaker 3: the entire front end and back end directly on WARS.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So for the first time you can have a fully
- 3:50Speaker 3: decentralized application. Right now, majority of web three runs off
- 3:53Speaker 3: Amazon and Google, but then the back end, being smart
- 3:55Speaker 3: contract sits on a blockchain. What we're enabling now is
- 4:00Speaker 3: a fully programmable storage layer, not just dumb storage. You
- 4:03Speaker 3: can actually program the storage itself. Where now you have
- 4:06Speaker 3: the front end running in the decentralized infrastructure and the
- 4:09Speaker 3: back end running using small contracts.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So whether you're running Suite.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Applications, Salana applications is here in applications, you now have
- 4:17Speaker 3: a viable contender to actually build a fully end to
- 4:19Speaker 3: endocentialized application, which is where we really want to be.
- 4:22Speaker 2: A web three.
- 4:22Speaker 3: It has an all bunch of benefits, including you know security. Namely,
- 4:27Speaker 3: now you can be sure you're dealing with website that's legitimate,
- 4:30Speaker 3: unlike what happens today where people go to fraudulent websites
- 4:33Speaker 3: and get robbed of their crypto. So now you have
- 4:35Speaker 3: a very strong piece of infrastructure that would give a
- 4:38Speaker 3: lot more safety to consumers as well. So it's going
- 4:41Speaker 3: to be all good all around for everyone in the
- 4:42Speaker 3: crypto intrust.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Listen, this is a big breakthrough, I think when you
- 4:46Speaker 1: look at storage and on chain being kind of that
- 4:49Speaker 1: holy grail that everybody's been working toward, and quote we've
- 4:52Speaker 1: seen obviously with file coin as being one of the
- 4:54Speaker 1: ogs in the market. What about while we're stid token,
- 4:58Speaker 1: is there an air drop planned? What's kind of the
- 5:00Speaker 1: process here for those who are holding the sweet token
- 5:03Speaker 1: right now?
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, So the people who are in a SUE ecosystem
- 5:07Speaker 3: always benefit from the inventions that we make, so ultimately
- 5:11Speaker 3: there will be there will be a wars air drop
- 5:13Speaker 3: to participant in the su ecosystem. The details of that
- 5:16Speaker 3: will be released soon. But the whole goal of Suite
- 5:19Speaker 3: is to build out a new decentralized trust layer for
- 5:23Speaker 3: the Internet. So you've seen we started with coordination, which
- 5:26Speaker 3: is sweet. Now this storage, and there'll be other things
- 5:29Speaker 3: that we build over the lifespan of the company, But
- 5:31Speaker 3: the whole goal is to give everybody a brand new
- 5:33Speaker 3: stack to build a new form of new forms of
- 5:35Speaker 3: applications are free from centralized entities. Warris is the next
- 5:39Speaker 3: big thing for us in that regard. So there's a
- 5:41Speaker 3: lot of engineering resources, a lot of money being spent
- 5:44Speaker 3: to make this most successful platform in regards to storage.
- 5:47Speaker 3: But we believe there's also a ton of Web two
- 5:50Speaker 3: companies that are going to be leveraging Warris as a
- 5:53Speaker 3: backup of last resort because now you don't have to
- 5:56Speaker 3: worry about you don't have to worry about central entity
- 5:58Speaker 3: losing your files.
- 5:59Speaker 2: You know, I have the sympilizentity.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Even if you're backing up to AWS, you now have
- 6:03Speaker 3: another service that you could use as a backup of
- 6:06Speaker 3: last resort that is highly highly scalable and also very
- 6:09Speaker 3: very cheap to use.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Listen redundancy I think is in many cases overlooked by
- 6:15Speaker 1: a lot of companies until you get down into the
- 6:18Speaker 1: the nitty gritty of really building an application and understanding
- 6:21Speaker 1: the importance of it. So to your point, a big deal,
- 6:24Speaker 1: let's talk about consistency and redundancy. You look at the
- 6:28Speaker 1: performance of some of the blockchains out there. Solana has
- 6:30Speaker 1: always been and received a couple of knocks out there,
- 6:33Speaker 1: even though I still think it's one of the best chains,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and the big one is always about performance, and of
- 6:39Speaker 1: course their network outage the last one. We're going on
- 6:42Speaker 1: a one year network outage with Solana, but also swe
- 6:46Speaker 1: had a recent network outage. How big of a deal
- 6:49Speaker 1: was this for a network outage to occur on suite
- 6:52Speaker 1: and explain what happened?
- 6:53Speaker 2: First?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, First of all, I want to come in
- 6:56Speaker 3: the Salona team. They've actually done a really good job. Look,
- 6:58Speaker 3: it's hard to build highly scalable systems and people are
- 7:01Speaker 3: finding out how difficult these systems are to run, and
- 7:03Speaker 3: they've done a better job than majority of participants in
- 7:06Speaker 3: the web three space, So highly commend them. We had
- 7:09Speaker 3: an outage that lasted for about an hour and a
- 7:11Speaker 3: half that resolved ultimately quickly by the ecosystem it's amazing
- 7:15Speaker 3: the fact that they could turn this around in a
- 7:17Speaker 3: short short space of time. What happened was there was
- 7:19Speaker 3: a bug that was introduced on a Monday that wasn't
- 7:22Speaker 3: caught in a regression, and ultimately it was discovered on
- 7:26Speaker 3: It was actually occurred on a Friday, sorry on a Thursday,
- 7:29Speaker 3: and the team woke up early in the morning and
- 7:31Speaker 3: resolved it very quickly. The validators were able to all
- 7:33Speaker 3: push updates relatively quickly, and the networks back and humming. Ultimately,
- 7:37Speaker 3: no funds were lost as expected, and the networkers performing
- 7:41Speaker 3: as it should do now.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I would even add.
- 7:42Speaker 3: That you generally protocols struggled to update to provide just
- 7:47Speaker 3: one protocol update in the space of a year. In
- 7:49Speaker 3: a space of a year and a half, we've released
- 7:51Speaker 3: three updates with no issues, just the one of recent
- 7:55Speaker 3: So we're moving at a light speed that the industry
- 7:57Speaker 3: has just never seen before.
- 7:58Speaker 2: So these things could happen.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I like it. I like fast moving technology because it
- 8:03Speaker 1: usually means you're breaking things, fixing it, and then making
- 8:05Speaker 1: it better, which is the great part of blockchain. I
- 8:08Speaker 1: want to talk about deep Book because this is a
- 8:11Speaker 1: project that we continue to watch very closely this writing
- 8:13Speaker 1: on Suite and if you look at deep book in general,
- 8:16Speaker 1: obviously this token has been moving up for quite some time.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Potentially this could really impede on what centralized exchanges are doing.
- 8:25Speaker 1: How much of an impact could deep book really have
- 8:29Speaker 1: on things like coinbase and kracken and others. What are
- 8:32Speaker 1: your thoughts?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah, if you've seen there have been some recent token
- 8:35Speaker 3: launches that we're done without the aid of centralized exchanges,
- 8:39Speaker 3: I think that's going to become a growing factor, especially
- 8:42Speaker 3: if you think about wallets like Phantom, even Jupiter and
- 8:45Speaker 3: things like that, who are able to bring in a
- 8:47Speaker 3: lot of retail eyeballs to launches, and of a recent
- 8:50Speaker 3: trump Coins for example too. Deep book is an advanced
- 8:55Speaker 3: decentralized central order book. Every exchange runs off an order book,
- 8:59Speaker 3: which is in the fish way of providing liquidity. They're
- 9:02Speaker 3: inherently hard to build on decentralized blockchains because you need
- 9:05Speaker 3: very very high bandwidth, very very low latency. It just
- 9:08Speaker 3: so happens squeeze latency is the lowest of all in
- 9:11Speaker 3: the industry, and the bandwidth is probably one of the highest,
- 9:14Speaker 3: so you can trade in and out of positions faster
- 9:17Speaker 3: than you can on any other decentralized platform. So it's
- 9:20Speaker 3: no wonder why marketmakers and large institutions are now plugging
- 9:24Speaker 3: into deeper can use that as a as a layer
- 9:26Speaker 3: of liquidity, and we expect that to grow significantly this year.
- 9:29Speaker 3: We have a number of large institutions that are looking
- 9:31Speaker 3: to plug into deepook and use that as a form
- 9:33Speaker 3: of liquidity. They're going to be listing BTC and we
- 9:36Speaker 3: believe over time you actually start to see the list
- 9:38Speaker 3: of the listing of cryptosecurities directly on deepook as well.
- 9:41Speaker 3: So imagine and now being able to buy and sell
- 9:44Speaker 3: all forms of securities, whether it's bonds, starts directly on
- 9:47Speaker 3: the decentralized central limit order book and everybody can plug
- 9:49Speaker 3: into it as a form of liquidity, and very very
- 9:51Speaker 3: soon you'll be able to buy assets on other chains
- 9:54Speaker 3: directly from deep book too. So it's a technology feat
- 9:57Speaker 3: in itself.
- 9:58Speaker 1: How big of a will this have when you look
- 10:02Speaker 1: at things that Blackrock is doing, you look at JP Morgan,
- 10:05Speaker 1: both of which have been able to integrate a lot
- 10:07Speaker 1: of these order books in the advancement of token is securities.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Is that something that deep Book would essentially rival or compliment.
- 10:15Speaker 3: It would largely complement what they're doing because now they
- 10:18Speaker 3: have a venue, at a centralized venue that's programmable, they
- 10:21Speaker 3: can effectively allow all forms.
- 10:23Speaker 2: It's a distribution play.
- 10:25Speaker 3: You can now use de book as a way to
- 10:26Speaker 3: distribute your assets across any number of regions in the world.
- 10:30Speaker 3: And the great thing about deep book is you can
- 10:31Speaker 3: build rules into it. You could say only people with
- 10:33Speaker 3: blackrock IDs or gipy morgan IDs can trade in this
- 10:35Speaker 3: particular pair versus not, so you can.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Have fully permission less. Fully it's always public.
- 10:42Speaker 3: You can have public permission public permissionless variants of the book.
- 10:45Speaker 3: But it's the first time anything like this has ever
- 10:47Speaker 3: been possible. So it's going to aid the work they do.
- 10:50Speaker 3: It's actually not going to impede the work that they're doing.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I imagine a lot of our was We've been listed
- 10:54Speaker 3: on deep book directly too.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I'm excited about that one. I think this is going
- 10:57Speaker 1: to be one of those breakthroughs that we within this
- 11:00Speaker 1: network could be the one of those milestones that everybody
- 11:03Speaker 1: will recognize it for Axilar just announced crossing transactions initiated
- 11:07Speaker 1: on SMS. This is coming of course from Suie also
- 11:11Speaker 1: using Phantom powered by AXELR. So great interact with operability here.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But my question is is SMS kind of the old
- 11:19Speaker 1: way of doing it as opposed to a Web three
- 11:23Speaker 1: way of doing it? What are your thoughts on that?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Do you think we need this transition step?
- 11:28Speaker 3: So I actually see this as more of a distribution
- 11:30Speaker 3: maximizing distribution. The way in which you bring billions of
- 11:34Speaker 3: people into Web three is by going to where they
- 11:36Speaker 3: are rather than asking them to come to where we are.
- 11:38Speaker 3: What we did this year last year actually is we
- 11:41Speaker 3: invented a tonlogy closeki logan where you can now send
- 11:44Speaker 3: money just using email, using your Google account, faibook account,
- 11:47Speaker 3: whatever you want you could use as an identity to
- 11:49Speaker 3: transact on chain and a fully permissionless and private way.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I think SMS is just an extension of that. We
- 11:55Speaker 3: did some studies at Facebook and one of the things
- 11:57Speaker 3: we found that unilatural payments is going to be one
- 12:00Speaker 3: of the biggest onlocks in finance as a whole. So
- 12:02Speaker 3: being able to send money to someone and they don't
- 12:04Speaker 3: need to on ramp as a way to actually get
- 12:06Speaker 3: access and use the funds, that is huge. So anything
- 12:09Speaker 3: that can be done in SMS would be along that corridor.
- 12:12Speaker 3: We've also invented some technology atmisteron where we can compress
- 12:15Speaker 3: a transaction to the size of an SMS message. I
- 12:18Speaker 3: can deliver that anywhere in the world, so you can
- 12:20Speaker 3: actually without Wi Fi, without Internet, you can transactions in
- 12:24Speaker 3: the Suite ecosystem. We think these are the kind of
- 12:27Speaker 3: breakthroughs you want. You want to be able to reach
- 12:28Speaker 3: out so many people's broadly, whether it's email, SMS, all
- 12:31Speaker 3: tech sometimes is useful.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Any update on the potential of the interoperability within ax.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Lar, Yeah, So Axlar is going to be turning on
- 12:41Speaker 3: to Suite this month. In addition to that, they are
- 12:45Speaker 3: going to be enabling cross chain transactions via a protocol
- 12:49Speaker 3: called Squid, So you'll be able to trade assets across
- 12:51Speaker 3: a number of chains directly using the Squid protocol, and
- 12:54Speaker 3: you'll be able to land them through deep Book as well.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So here again you.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Have deep Book powering another ecosystem, I mean Palatrade across
- 13:01Speaker 3: a number of chains as well.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm looking at DeFi Lama right now, and this is
- 13:06Speaker 1: the sweet stable coin transactions. You can kind of see
- 13:09Speaker 1: the cumulative numbers here and I don't see this kind
- 13:14Speaker 1: of bell curve growth. Why do you think we have
- 13:17Speaker 1: not seen stable coins really start to proliferate within the
- 13:21Speaker 1: suit network.
- 13:23Speaker 3: So that's primarily because stable coins only recently came to
- 13:28Speaker 3: the suecosystem. So if you remember, we announced native USCC
- 13:33Speaker 3: only in the latter half of last year, the latter
- 13:35Speaker 3: half of last year, so it's only really been live
- 13:37Speaker 3: for a couple of months, and since then it's grown
- 13:40Speaker 3: to over formed a million dollars in terms of I believe. Also,
- 13:43Speaker 3: FDUSD just grew to one hundred million TVL at loane,
- 13:46Speaker 3: so it's done to grow, and I think it will
- 13:48Speaker 3: take some time. Networks like Solana and whatever, I've had
- 13:51Speaker 3: it for a lot longer. But the more important thing
- 13:54Speaker 3: is is a utility for the stable coin on suite.
- 13:56Speaker 3: It's one thing to just have stable coins, but you
- 13:58Speaker 3: have to have a use for it, and what we're
- 13:59Speaker 3: seeing is stable coin transaction volume on Suite is growing
- 14:02Speaker 3: in addition to the TVL, which is exciting because you
- 14:06Speaker 3: don't want to have dormant assets earning no yield and
- 14:09Speaker 3: adding no value.
- 14:10Speaker 2: So it's one of the things we're very, very.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Proud of is that the TVL on Suite is finding
- 14:15Speaker 3: actual use utility, whether it's lending or trading or other
- 14:18Speaker 3: schemes as well. Gaming is going to be one of
- 14:20Speaker 3: the biggest onlocks this year for three in regards to
- 14:23Speaker 3: stable coins.
- 14:24Speaker 1: So okay, big unlock on gaming. Because I was going
- 14:26Speaker 1: to ask the direction here on DeFi versus consumer applications
- 14:30Speaker 1: within the suite network. Do you feel like it's going
- 14:32Speaker 1: to equally grow or do you feel like there's a
- 14:34Speaker 1: strong point for Suite.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Our thesis is gaming will grow DeFi, not the other
- 14:40Speaker 3: way around, like gaming will be the it would be
- 14:43Speaker 3: that doorway where it's effectively a utility. Like I always say,
- 14:47Speaker 3: it's hard to call DEFY a product. It's really just infrastructure.
- 14:50Speaker 3: It's a financial programmable financial infrastructure. And game studios don't
- 14:54Speaker 3: want to build everything from ground up every time you
- 14:56Speaker 3: onboard a new game. They shouldn't have to figure out
- 14:58Speaker 3: to build a token, have to build a marketplace. All
- 15:00Speaker 3: these things are infrastructure that DeFi provides inherently, whether it's
- 15:03Speaker 3: even providing yield for assets that are effectively static. So
- 15:08Speaker 3: you know, DeFi will bring in the millions, if not one,
- 15:11Speaker 3: hundreds of millions of users into Web three and they
- 15:13Speaker 3: don't need to know that they're using a protocol, a
- 15:16Speaker 3: defied protocol. They just know they're in a game and
- 15:17Speaker 3: they have the ability to swap assets. They have the
- 15:20Speaker 3: ability to transfer assets in and out of their wallets.
- 15:23Speaker 3: What protocol happens underneath the hood matters not to them.
- 15:26Speaker 1: What would be the number one consumer onboarding platform or
- 15:31Speaker 1: component that you would see within the Suite network in
- 15:34Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, What would be the one that gets
- 15:37Speaker 1: the most users in.
- 15:39Speaker 3: We believe gaming will be that exactly that. We have
- 15:42Speaker 3: a number of games that have tens of millions of
- 15:44Speaker 3: users already that will be coming onto Suite. We're yet
- 15:46Speaker 3: to announce a massive consumer platform that will be coming
- 15:49Speaker 3: into Swee this year.
- 15:49Speaker 2: That's going to be huge.
- 15:51Speaker 3: But this is the reason why we built deep book too, right,
- 15:53Speaker 3: like we know last year and just throw that out there.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You can't just throw that. We're You're just going to
- 15:58Speaker 1: announce this big thing and I'm going to talk about it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: What do you mean by that? A big consumer platform?
- 16:04Speaker 2: Do you? What do you mean?
- 16:05Speaker 3: So so so, we've always said we was built for
- 16:08Speaker 3: billions of users, and what matters is not just saying
- 16:11Speaker 3: about showing it this year, we will demonstrate some of
- 16:14Speaker 3: the largest platforms in the world, bringing one hundred millions
- 16:17Speaker 3: of users directly to the ecosystem. So we can't enforce,
- 16:20Speaker 3: unfortunately disclose the particularly insution that it would be announced
- 16:26Speaker 3: very very soon.
- 16:27Speaker 2: But the most important thing is.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I was saying, this is why we build deep book
- 16:30Speaker 3: right like three.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I love this great teas I'm looking at these air
- 16:38Speaker 1: drops for sweet for the Sweet Play air drop features.
- 16:42Speaker 1: This has been something that has been worked around the industry. Obviously,
- 16:45Speaker 1: we saw the saga now with the Seeker very successful,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and we're now seeing this with some new areas. And
- 16:53Speaker 1: one of the things that is impressive to me is
- 16:57Speaker 1: how you guys have strategized and developed with a car company.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I'll talk talk about that in a minute, But what
- 17:01Speaker 1: about this we play Is that going to be coming soon?
- 17:04Speaker 1: What's the what's the plan here for rollout?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah? So Sweet Players a REX one.
- 17:08Speaker 3: The device is already finished, it's already built, the operating
- 17:12Speaker 3: system has been finalized, including the mobile application that goes
- 17:15Speaker 3: with it. But generally that's going to be out the
- 17:17Speaker 3: first half of this year. So the sweep Players REX one,
- 17:20Speaker 3: once it's delivered to the early early purchases, we'll then
- 17:25Speaker 3: go and sell it mass market, and we have a
- 17:27Speaker 3: number of stores that are interested in picking it up
- 17:29Speaker 3: and selling it mass market to consumers as well, So
- 17:32Speaker 3: that's going really really well. The sweeplay device ultimately lets
- 17:35Speaker 3: you play any game you want that's on Steam, Epic
- 17:38Speaker 3: and other app stores as well.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited about it. This is going to be
- 17:42Speaker 1: one that we're going to be analyzing here in studio
- 17:45Speaker 1: to take a look at it when the hardware comes,
- 17:46Speaker 1: for sure. Air drop season coming. When when do you
- 17:50Speaker 1: think we're going to start seeing all of this to
- 17:52Speaker 1: really become I know it's early in the year in February,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but what are your thoughts here for the ecosystem start
- 17:57Speaker 1: seeing that.
- 17:59Speaker 2: We believe air drops do well.
- 18:01Speaker 3: They do best when the protocol is transparent and forthcoming
- 18:04Speaker 3: with a community, and I believe they're a great way
- 18:07Speaker 3: to bootstrap communities as long as you can, you know,
- 18:10Speaker 3: give tokens to the right people. The problem we've seen
- 18:13Speaker 3: in the past is there's always been a disconnect or
- 18:16Speaker 3: mislignment of incentives with air drops, which is why at
- 18:19Speaker 3: Sweet we did not do an air drop for the
- 18:20Speaker 3: network because it's very very early, there was no community
- 18:22Speaker 3: to incentivize, and we built that community organically over time,
- 18:26Speaker 3: and now there's an air community to really build around
- 18:28Speaker 3: air drops. So air drop season on Swee, we likely
- 18:30Speaker 3: think it's going to be March time.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Okay, there you go. We got a date. Fine, we
- 18:35Speaker 1: got a date on. This is good. This is what
- 18:38Speaker 1: we try to get out of here. Okay, So I
- 18:40Speaker 1: got a couple of clips here I want to play
- 18:42Speaker 1: for you. I want to go to this lead clip.
- 18:44Speaker 1: This is DeLorean and obviously the partnership and what this
- 18:47Speaker 1: might mean for the Sweet network take a look.
- 18:50Speaker 4: You know, we've seen other car brands. You pay your deposit,
- 18:53Speaker 4: you wait five years for your car to come. You know,
- 18:56Speaker 4: you're stuck kind of in that. You know, with this
- 18:58Speaker 4: we give flexibility. So we announced a new car a
- 19:02Speaker 4: year or so ago. We released some build slots, and
- 19:05Speaker 4: one of the fascinating things we're doing is putting those
- 19:07Speaker 4: build slots on chain, So if you've bought the car,
- 19:11Speaker 4: you can start trading it and kind of interacting with
- 19:13Speaker 4: it before you even take delivery of it. You can
- 19:17Speaker 4: literally trade your DeLorean on chain through our marketplace, which
- 19:22Speaker 4: is coming by the end of the year. Sky's the
- 19:25Speaker 4: limit of what we can do. You know, we could
- 19:27Speaker 4: have the miles you drive on your DeLorean update in
- 19:30Speaker 4: real time onto your NFT. You could have people placing
- 19:34Speaker 4: bids on your vehicle even if you're not looking to
- 19:37Speaker 4: sell it, and then you kind of have that certificate
- 19:41Speaker 4: of authenticity as well.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Amazing, Listen, I just want to know if you've got
- 19:45Speaker 1: an in at DeLorean where I can get one of
- 19:47Speaker 1: these that looks like a fantastic vehicle. So great partnership there.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Obviously aligning with a lot of Web three functionality, and
- 19:55Speaker 1: much like what we've seen in the handset side and
- 19:58Speaker 1: now gaming is is a gateway of potential opportunity for
- 20:03Speaker 1: blockchain to do air drops and all that good stuff.
- 20:06Speaker 1: What does that look like for you guys in terms
- 20:09Speaker 1: of long term strategy? Do you see a lot more
- 20:11Speaker 1: of this kind of integration? Where are you going?
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yep?
- 20:14Speaker 3: So fundamentally what's happening, what's actually really happening is the
- 20:18Speaker 3: model for engaging with your fans is going to be
- 20:21Speaker 3: turned upside down. The model by which you advertise to
- 20:24Speaker 3: a group of people is going to be turned upside down.
- 20:26Speaker 3: The session cookie is inherently dead, this idea that I'll
- 20:29Speaker 3: follow you with a tracker across the Internet and throw
- 20:32Speaker 3: random things at you that you may not be interested in.
- 20:34Speaker 2: It's just a.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Really bad experience. And really crypto offers a new mechanism
- 20:40Speaker 3: to engage with community, to build interest, to build excitement,
- 20:44Speaker 3: to actually bring value to consumers directly. It's overall going
- 20:48Speaker 3: to bring down the total cost of acquiring users. It's
- 20:51Speaker 3: going to reduce the cost of the amount of chann
- 20:53Speaker 3: It's also going to reduce the cost of retention. It's
- 20:56Speaker 3: going to be the best way to actually go to
- 20:58Speaker 3: market for your products. So you've seen Delory innovating significantly
- 21:01Speaker 3: in that area, and we've got a number of companies
- 21:03Speaker 3: doing exactly the same thing. It's just the beginning.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah, this is huge to me because you're exactly right.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I think you're in an era where we are going
- 21:11Speaker 1: to see a magnetic shift in major brands really starting
- 21:15Speaker 1: to understand this. Just to prove your point, I want
- 21:17Speaker 1: to go to a clip. This is the clip of
- 21:19Speaker 1: DeLorean showing how this is going to integrate with the brand.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Who are you? What's a time caps?
- 22:17Speaker 1: I mean you got the dose dog in there. You've
- 22:19Speaker 1: got meme joints showcasing. I mean, these guys are Djens.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now.
- 22:25Speaker 3: They are brilliant tea. And the way they're launching is
- 22:30Speaker 3: if you want to have access to the car, you
- 22:31Speaker 3: can buy a time capsule for the opportunity of winning one,
- 22:35Speaker 3: and it's using you can go to the app store
- 22:37Speaker 3: today to buy one, sorry, to the NFT marketplace like
- 22:40Speaker 3: trade and tradeport to buy one today. Additionally, it's it's
- 22:44Speaker 3: currently being traded and it's all using on chain randomness
- 22:47Speaker 3: to decide who wins. So there's it's a totally fair mechanism.
- 22:50Speaker 3: So you can you can unravel the time capsule and
- 22:53Speaker 3: see if you want a delorein on all it's it's
- 22:55Speaker 3: super exciting. Again, this is how brands are going to
- 22:58Speaker 3: build awareness of their products in the future. And you
- 23:01Speaker 3: saw that partnership with Bunk as well. It's phenomenal.
- 23:04Speaker 1: DMC token coming in here. A little bit on that.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Lots of partners that are starting to roadmap is very
- 23:11Speaker 1: these guys are on it. This is a This is
- 23:13Speaker 1: a perfect example of how brands are starting to make
- 23:17Speaker 1: the leap into this next generation of web three, which
- 23:20Speaker 1: I love to see examples of this. So congrats on
- 23:23Speaker 1: the partnership. If you guys have more like this coming,
- 23:26Speaker 1: this is going to be a bright future for Sweet
- 23:30Speaker 1: for sure. Let's talk about community and the tech itself,
- 23:33Speaker 1: because you mentioned community often in the interview here, and
- 23:37Speaker 1: you look at the technology, I would say equally advanced
- 23:41Speaker 1: in terms of web three? Which one is more important?
- 23:44Speaker 1: Because we are seeing, you know, projects which have i
- 23:47Speaker 1: would say questionable tech, but have been able to build
- 23:50Speaker 1: just ridiculous communities and they're successful because of that. What
- 23:54Speaker 1: would you say?
- 23:56Speaker 3: I think they'll both go hand in hand. But the
- 23:58Speaker 3: most important thing is you should make sure you have
- 24:01Speaker 3: great tech. One thing we did early on with Suee
- 24:04Speaker 3: is we had taken a lot of learnings that we
- 24:06Speaker 3: had from Facebook on a technology front and just decided
- 24:09Speaker 3: to take the risk and build some scratch and really
- 24:11Speaker 3: build something without the boundary or shackles that we had
- 24:14Speaker 3: of an internal organized a large organization on Facebook, and
- 24:17Speaker 3: we index and building the best developer platform possible. And
- 24:21Speaker 3: our go to market was go to the big the
- 24:23Speaker 3: best developers, win over the best developers to build interesting
- 24:27Speaker 3: protocols on Suite rather than just simply trying to pay
- 24:31Speaker 3: and buy a community, and that's actually worked out to
- 24:34Speaker 3: our advantage. So now Sweet has got a vibrant community.
- 24:36Speaker 3: So we have what we believe is the best technology
- 24:39Speaker 3: in the space, and we have a thriving and growing community,
- 24:42Speaker 3: and that's only going to grow over time. I think
- 24:44Speaker 3: it wouldn't have worked if we weren't able to showcase
- 24:46Speaker 3: our legitimacy to developers who are very, very adept and
- 24:50Speaker 3: astute to figure out like this is all a bunch
- 24:53Speaker 3: of lives, or this is all an empire, has no
- 24:54Speaker 3: close But as they dig into the code base and
- 24:56Speaker 3: they start using it, they realize, oh my god, there's
- 24:58Speaker 3: things I could do here that just impossible anywhere else,
- 25:01Speaker 3: and they go out and build their own community off
- 25:02Speaker 3: the back of that, and that's been really it's how
- 25:04Speaker 3: we're skilled.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I like that answer because you're right you when you
- 25:07Speaker 1: the tech can only or I should say, the community
- 25:09Speaker 1: can only take you so far, because eventually the text's
- 25:11Speaker 1: got to deliver at some point. So I agree with
- 25:14Speaker 1: you on that. I want to I want to quiz
- 25:16Speaker 1: you on something here. This is the sweet meme coin.
- 25:19Speaker 1: So we have a big Sweet community here that absolutely
- 25:22Speaker 1: are loving what's happening in the meme coin ecosystem. Can
- 25:26Speaker 1: you recognize any of these meme coins?
- 25:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I see low Fi there, I see blow, I
- 25:32Speaker 3: see I see a blue shark. I don't recognize the
- 25:36Speaker 3: other I don't recognize the others.
- 25:38Speaker 2: There's so many.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Agents as oh yeah, okay, okay, actually I actually have
- 25:43Speaker 3: agents in my wallet. Interesting okay, So.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Okay. First of all, a fantastic meme coin community within
- 25:54Speaker 1: Sweet for sure. Uh, let's talk about AI because AI
- 25:57Speaker 1: is the hot topic right now. AI agents. We're seeing
- 26:00Speaker 1: more and more jumping over sweet O fun and AI
- 26:05Speaker 1: dof fun. And I look at this and I think, gosh,
- 26:08Speaker 1: there's a lot of potential here, a massive amount of potential.
- 26:13Speaker 1: But the UX come on, man, what can we do
- 26:16Speaker 1: about this? We need to we need to do something here.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, look, what you're finding is there's a
- 26:22Speaker 3: lot of experimentation that's still happening. And I find the
- 26:24Speaker 3: same thing happens all over in many industries. You've got
- 26:27Speaker 3: to do fun things before you could do the serious things.
- 26:29Speaker 3: And that's what we see similar with meme coins too. Right,
- 26:32Speaker 3: you start with some really fun things and the time
- 26:34Speaker 3: things will translate into very interesting and exciting ideas, and
- 26:37Speaker 3: I believe that the UX is gone. Right when you
- 26:40Speaker 3: think about AI agents, the idea that you pre build
- 26:43Speaker 3: some screen that someone's going to click through, that's gone.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Your interface is going to be voice or is going
- 26:48Speaker 3: to be some other form of interface isn't fixed, you know,
- 26:52Speaker 3: so you know people are still going to figure that
- 26:54Speaker 3: out slowly, but no one's going to be building your
- 26:57Speaker 3: front tend to do something anymore. It's simply going to
- 26:59Speaker 3: be talking to an agent. That agent would do it
- 27:00Speaker 3: for you.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm glad you said that, because you're exactly right.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I think you're going to see completely a different dynamic
- 27:06Speaker 1: and how we can interface with computers in the future. Obviously,
- 27:08Speaker 1: is it going to happen super soon or is it
- 27:11Speaker 1: something that you know, you think about the evolution of
- 27:13Speaker 1: just a smartphone that era from two thousand and seven
- 27:16Speaker 1: to where we are right now. I know it's going on,
- 27:18Speaker 1: you know, twenty five years or so, but still the
- 27:21Speaker 1: capacity for growth that shift seems to be starting to
- 27:25Speaker 1: weigh in. I think on the tech community. We already
- 27:27Speaker 1: see it in the ARVR space, you know, which a
- 27:29Speaker 1: lot of potential advancements here, and it's coming quick. All right, So,
- 27:33Speaker 1: I know you guys are doing some big announcements at
- 27:35Speaker 1: some events. I'm over on your event page. Which one
- 27:38Speaker 1: if I if I'm a Sweet dev if I'm you know,
- 27:42Speaker 1: an enthusiast, I'm a media company that's out there trying
- 27:44Speaker 1: to track what's going on within the Suite network. Which
- 27:47Speaker 1: one is going to be the one to be at.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I know you guys are going to be at E
- 27:51Speaker 1: Summit or eth them for I should say, so you've
- 27:53Speaker 1: got the Sweet Summit there. What's going to happen there?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Is that just a community meetup?
- 27:59Speaker 3: So on the question which is the hottest one to
- 28:01Speaker 3: be on that you should not miss?
- 28:03Speaker 2: It's base Camp.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Base Camp is going to be in May first and
- 28:06Speaker 3: May second, and that's going to be in Dubai and
- 28:07Speaker 3: the UAE that we're going to be announcing things that
- 28:10Speaker 3: I've never been seen before, similar to what we did
- 28:13Speaker 3: last year where we unveiled the sweeplas Rex one. They're
- 28:16Speaker 3: going to be new technology that you see built on Suite.
- 28:18Speaker 3: New partners announced who are doing just purely amazing things,
- 28:22Speaker 3: and it's going to be under the mantra again on
- 28:23Speaker 3: building in the next billion users into web three. I
- 28:26Speaker 3: would say all our events are generally quite good and
- 28:28Speaker 3: always packed and always well attended, but you generally have
- 28:30Speaker 3: to get your tickets ahead of time because they normally oversubscribed.
- 28:34Speaker 3: And it's again a reflection of the the cut law
- 28:39Speaker 3: that's been built in this week or system. We're really
- 28:41Speaker 3: really proud of what the community has done to really
- 28:43Speaker 3: build itself into what it is today.
- 28:45Speaker 1: As far as the gaming event that you're doing in
- 28:49Speaker 1: San Francisco, you know what's kind of going to be
- 28:51Speaker 1: the focus of that trying to onboard game devs or
- 28:53Speaker 1: is it more around where the direction of the company
- 28:56Speaker 1: is going.
- 28:57Speaker 3: You've be able to hold the sweet Plaser X one
- 28:59Speaker 3: in your hands at our Game dep conference. Okay, this
- 29:01Speaker 3: is gonna be awesome. You made to see some of
- 29:03Speaker 3: the software advancements that's been made. You also hear from
- 29:07Speaker 3: some of the partners I'll be launching with the games
- 29:10Speaker 3: console as well, So there's a lot happening. We have
- 29:13Speaker 3: one of the almost slip there. We have a massive
- 29:17Speaker 3: game company that'll be joining up.
- 29:19Speaker 1: We going to play that back see if we can
- 29:23Speaker 1: try to come to a conclusion there of what that is. Well, listen,
- 29:27Speaker 1: ad it's been great having you on the show. Thanks
- 29:31Speaker 1: so much for being so transparent. That's one of the
- 29:33Speaker 1: things we like about the Sweet Network. And you guys
- 29:36Speaker 1: kind of tell everybody with extension of not releasing any
- 29:39Speaker 1: of the good stuff yet. But I understand that, but
- 29:41Speaker 1: appreciate you guys coming in today for sure.
- 29:44Speaker 2: It's a pleasure. Thank you so much.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You bet all right, you guys. If you're not in
- 29:48Speaker 1: our Diamond Circle, well now's your chance, because we've opened
- 29:52Speaker 1: up our Telegram group where you guys can communicate with
- 29:54Speaker 1: me directly, and that's a brand new thing here on PBN.
