A 30-year-old man, Mustafa Dayib Ali, just admitted to stealing over $300,000 from Minnesota’s defunct Housing Stabilization Services program by billing for nonexistent services. Using his company, Brilliant Minds Services LLC, he and his team falsified records to siphon Medicaid funds meant for vulnerable populations, raking in hundreds of thousands each. Prosecutors say they inflated hours and billed for services never delivered — and Ali’s company became one of the top billers in 2024.
