- 0:00Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for June 2nd, 2025. Your
- 0:04two-minute play of the day for applying
- 0:06God's word in your life. So, let's
- 0:08huddle up and hear today's play from
- 0:10Luke 17. So, watch yourselves. If your
- 0:14brother or sister sins against you,
- 0:16rebuke them. And if they repent, forgive
- 0:18them. Even if they sin against you seven
- 0:20times in a day and seven times come back
- 0:23to you saying, "I repent," you must
- 0:26forgive them. The apostle said to the
- 0:28Lord, "Increase our faith." He replied,
- 0:31"If you have faith as small as a mustard
- 0:33seed, you can say to this malberry tree,
- 0:35be uprooted and planted in the sea, and
- 0:37it will obey you." Will he thank the
- 0:39servant because he did what was told to
- 0:41do. So you also, when you have done
- 0:43everything you were told to do, should
- 0:45say, "We are unworthy servants. We have
- 0:48only done our
- 0:50duty." Everyone struggles with having
- 0:53mountain moving faith. Most of us leave
- 0:56it to the false teachers on television
- 0:58who claim to have such power while their
- 1:00wealthy lifestyles serve as proof.
- 1:03Perhaps Jesus was being sarcastic, not
- 1:06promising uh promising us the power to
- 1:08uproot trees then cast them into the
- 1:10sea. What would be the purpose of that
- 1:12for the kingdom of God anyway? Jesus
- 1:15commands us to forgive as God forgives
- 1:17us. God forgives all of our sin every
- 1:20day. All of them. There are more than
- 1:22seven times seven. It is human nature
- 1:26not to forgive, to harbor bitterness and
- 1:29revenge against others who we deem to
- 1:31have wronged us. The apostles, like us,
- 1:34lived this way and so felt they needed
- 1:37greater faith. God is now here to
- 1:40forgive all of our sins of all humanity
- 1:43who repent. The people of God whose sins
- 1:46have been forgiven are to forgive as God
- 1:48has forgiven us. This doesn't require
- 1:51great faith like moving a malberry tree
- 1:53into the ocean, but obedience to the
- 1:55will of God, like a servant simply doing
- 1:58their duty. We can forgive others, and
- 2:00we must forgive others, not to be
- 2:02determined by our faith, but by our love
- 2:04for God and our gratefulness for his
- 2:07forgiveness of all of our sins. We can
- 2:09treat people as though they have never
- 2:11sinned against us if we choose to do so.
- 2:14Because God treats us as though we have
- 2:16never sinned against him through Jesus
- 2:18Christ our Lord. Jesus is not
- 2:21challenging us to have mountainoving
- 2:23faith. He is rebuking us for thinking
- 2:26such faith is necessary for obeying
- 2:28God's simple and clear command to
- 2:31forgive as we have been forgiven. We are
- 2:33servants of God here to reveal the ways
- 2:36of God and share the will of God through
- 2:38the proclamation of the word of God. To
- 2:41please God, we need faith in him and his
- 2:43work accomplished for us certainly.
- 2:46However, what God is really requiring of
- 2:48us is obedience to him as servants of
- 2:51God, not hercuan faith to do the
- 2:53unnecessary or the irrelevant.
