- 0:18Speaker 3: think we chat. Yesterday.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I slept into like ten thirty and then hit the

- 0:26Speaker 3: Yes, good for you, that's my sanity.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Okay, Well here we are again.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Jim Mussel and Cockies.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Yes, we have a lot of things to chat about today.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So do you want to start off?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Why don't we just start off by one of the
- 0:42Speaker 4: questions that we left off last week when our fans
- 0:46Speaker 4: were writing to us and asking us questions about us
- 0:49Speaker 4: and who we were and where we came from.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yeah, one of the ones we didn't get to finish
- 0:53Speaker 2: was about our mothers and how they got settled in
- 0:56Speaker 2: the US and what their stories were when they first
- 1:00Speaker 2: got here.
- 1:01Speaker 3: What was Nancy's story?
- 1:03Speaker 1: My mom's story is a long story.
- 1:05Speaker 4: And I feel like you know many other Cubans who
- 1:08Speaker 4: had to leave the island of Cuba in nineteen fifty
- 1:11Speaker 4: nine through sixty two or whatever year it was that
- 1:16Speaker 4: a lot of people came. Those were the years. So
- 1:18Speaker 4: my mom came, and I think nineteen sixty one, she
- 1:20Speaker 4: came a little bit after the revolution, so fortunately or unfortunately, she.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Got to live a little bit of the revolution.
- 1:28Speaker 4: And because of that, she was in medical school in
- 1:30Speaker 4: the University of Lavana, and she had to leave from
- 1:33Speaker 4: one day to the other, pretty much like a lot
- 1:36Speaker 4: of the Cubans, and she wasn't even able to take
- 1:39Speaker 4: her notes with her, like her grades, you know, as
- 1:43Speaker 4: far as like the university went. So she pretty much
- 1:46Speaker 4: came with nothing. And I remember the story of her
- 1:49Speaker 4: telling me that when she got to the air where
- 1:50Speaker 4: she got to come by plane, and she had an
- 1:53Speaker 4: aunt in New York, my grandmother, her mom stayed behind,
- 1:57Speaker 4: and so she came all by herself.
- 1:58Speaker 1: She was twenty seven years old.
- 1:59Speaker 4: She came with what she was wearing, and she wasn't
- 2:02Speaker 4: allowed to bring anything with her, and in the airport
- 2:05Speaker 4: she had to take off her ring, which was the
- 2:07Speaker 4: only possession that she had at this point, her graduation ring.
- 2:11Speaker 4: And she told me she just had to take everything
- 2:13Speaker 4: off and just leave it there in the airport. But
- 2:15Speaker 4: most importantly, she had to leave my mom and her
- 2:18Speaker 4: family behind, and she came to Miami, where she had
- 2:22Speaker 4: some friends of the family, and you know, they put
- 2:25Speaker 4: her up and my grandmother, you know, was able to
- 2:27Speaker 4: send her a little bit of money while she was here.
- 2:29Speaker 4: She had an aunt that was in New York that
- 2:31Speaker 4: was already working in La Factoria, so she started sending
- 2:35Speaker 4: my mom money and then showing up a little bit later,
- 2:38Speaker 4: my dad came.
- 2:39Speaker 1: At this point, my mom and my dad were not
- 2:40Speaker 1: married yet.
- 2:41Speaker 4: They were both medical students in Lean ne Verzel l Lavana,
- 2:44Speaker 4: so he was able to.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Come as well.
- 2:46Speaker 4: His mom and his parents were taking care of him here.
- 2:50Speaker 4: They started cleaning the floor at the hospitals, and when
- 2:54Speaker 4: they realized that they weren't going to be able to
- 2:57Speaker 4: continue with their medical career here, they were going to
- 3:00Speaker 4: have to leave to Spain. They went to Madrid and
- 3:02Speaker 4: then to Salamanca. They registered there and they basically had
- 3:07Speaker 4: to start medical school again because, like I said, they
- 3:10Speaker 4: left Cuba with no grades, with no no no paperwork,
- 3:13Speaker 4: with no degrees, with nothing. It was like they had
- 3:16Speaker 4: to start from zero again.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Looking for them. They had gone, you know, they already
- 3:20Speaker 1: knew some medicine.
- 3:21Speaker 4: But can you imagine like just telling you like you
- 3:23Speaker 4: need to, you know, go from one day to the other,
- 3:25Speaker 4: like leave all your possessions, leave your family, Forget about
- 3:28Speaker 4: your possessions because those are material things that are very feasible.
- 3:31Speaker 4: But just say goodbye to your mom, like at the
- 3:34Speaker 4: age of twenty seven and not know where you ever
- 3:36Speaker 4: going to see them again.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Did she see your mom again?
- 3:39Speaker 1: She did, so my grandmother was able to come.
- 3:42Speaker 4: You know, my grandmother was able to leave Cuba, to
- 3:45Speaker 4: leave Lamana and then to go to New York where
- 3:47Speaker 4: she started working at the factory with her sister. And
- 3:50Speaker 4: that's how she would maintain my mom. You know, my
- 3:52Speaker 4: grandmother would send her a dandydo like every month, you know,
- 3:55Speaker 4: and you know they lived in like really poor conditions,
- 3:58Speaker 4: but all they wanted was to go, you know, to
- 4:00Speaker 4: go to medical school and to be able to graduate
- 4:03Speaker 4: and be able to come to this country, come back
- 4:06Speaker 4: to Miami, and you know, be able to live the
- 4:09Speaker 4: American dream like all the immigrants you have pretty much
- 4:12Speaker 4: been able to do thanks to this you know, incredible
- 4:14Speaker 4: country that gave us the opportunity and gave my parents
- 4:17Speaker 4: the opportunity, so they did that. My sister was born
- 4:20Speaker 4: in Spain. Because while they were studying my sister, my
- 4:23Speaker 4: mom and my dad got married. They finished medical school,
- 4:26Speaker 4: and again like my dad's family was supporting my dad,
- 4:29Speaker 4: my mom's family was supporting her. They had Dino, and
- 4:33Speaker 4: then they were able to come here. So like everyone,
- 4:35Speaker 4: like every immigrant that wanted to come back over here,
- 4:37Speaker 4: and they started here. They studied for the boards, they
- 4:40Speaker 4: did the residency here. My mom did her specialty in psychiatry,
- 4:44Speaker 4: my father did orthopetic surgery. My sister was born in Spain.
- 4:47Speaker 4: They came back to this country and you know, and
- 4:50Speaker 4: that's it. Two years later I was born, and you know, luckily,
- 4:53Speaker 4: you know, they were able to pass all all her
- 4:55Speaker 4: exams and their boards, and then they started, you know
- 4:57Speaker 4: with like their little office and guy, my mom.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Oh they worked together.
- 5:03Speaker 4: No, no, no they didn't. So my parents got divorced.
- 5:05Speaker 4: But that's another story, uh huh. But that's how my mom,
- 5:09Speaker 4: you know, came from from Cuba in nineteen sixty one,
- 5:13Speaker 4: and my mother had a half brother, so he was
- 5:16Speaker 4: able to come like with his mom, and I see,
- 5:18Speaker 4: you know.
- 5:18Speaker 3: A little by little, they all started her.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Cousins and their aunts and all the family started coming.
- 5:23Speaker 4: And you know, luckily I don't have any more family,
- 5:26Speaker 4: you know, direct family like that in Cuba. So you know,
- 5:29Speaker 4: it was you know, a good successful story and the
- 5:31Speaker 4: fact that they were all able to leave and you know,
- 5:34Speaker 4: and be and be here.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and what about your mom?
- 5:37Speaker 2: My mother, so my grandfather was in the printing business.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I don't know if you had newspapers. I don't remember.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Because my mom didn't like to talk about her life
- 5:49Speaker 2: in Cuba very much. You know, a lot of people
- 5:50Speaker 2: come here and they love to talk about how amazing
- 5:52Speaker 2: it was. She never talked about it. She was more
- 5:55Speaker 2: enamored with my dad's family and all their history. It
- 6:00Speaker 2: was a lot of history. My grandmother is a daughter
- 6:03Speaker 2: of the American Revolution. It's a lot of history on my.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Dad's side of the family. So my.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Mother's family had a home in Miami, and she came
- 6:16Speaker 2: to Miami and lived in that home while she went
- 6:18Speaker 2: to the University of Miami with her sister.
- 6:20Speaker 1: That's so cool. Oh, so she went to UM.
- 6:23Speaker 3: She went to UM before Castro came.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Then Castro came, and before you knew it, the whole
- 6:29Speaker 2: family was in that house.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It wasn't that big for the whole family.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Everybody came, my mother Maya Waelo she had, there were
- 6:38Speaker 2: five of them.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Everybody was there, and.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Well, they're so lucky that they all got to come here.
- 6:44Speaker 2: They all came here and they all lived in that
- 6:46Speaker 2: house together. It was there over there, like near Flagler
- 6:49Speaker 2: by the dog track over there when Miami was sparse, but.
- 6:53Speaker 3: From near the airport.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And then my mom had to go to work, and
- 6:58Speaker 2: her sister too. They stopped going to the university and
- 7:01Speaker 2: my mom operated an elevator.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Oh my god, how much fun. I can't even imagine
- 7:04Speaker 4: your mom in an elevator operating.
- 7:06Speaker 2: You know that no one with the metal accordion door
- 7:09Speaker 2: that you would pull like the ones they had in downtown.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yes she did that. She operated in an elevator. Then
- 7:16Speaker 2: she met my stepbrother's father, Charlie Jones. They got married,
- 7:21Speaker 2: they had my brother. He wasn't a good husband. They
- 7:25Speaker 2: divorced very young, when my brother was like two. And
- 7:28Speaker 2: then she met my father, who also had a small son,
- 7:31Speaker 2: and then she married him. So she never finished school.
- 7:34Speaker 2: She didn't finish the university. She didn't finish university. And
- 7:37Speaker 2: my father went to eighth grade. He only went to
- 7:41Speaker 2: eighth grade, but and he came from a very good,
- 7:44Speaker 2: well to do family. But he was a worker, and
- 7:47Speaker 2: he worked and he became very successful in his industry. Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but I mean, you don't hear people just going at
- 7:54Speaker 2: like eighth grade anymore. That's from the thirties and the forties.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Right, No, that's so.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Yeah, that's very back in the day. And they were
- 8:01Speaker 4: still very successful. Like your education didn't really determine your
- 8:04Speaker 4: outcome and life.
- 8:05Speaker 1: They were very hard workers. Yeah, had different different Yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: they had different work.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Values and ethics different that's why they became so successful.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the drive in your ballet at the end
- 8:16Speaker 2: of the day. I always say that. So anyway, they
- 8:19Speaker 2: they got married, raised to young men, and five years
- 8:23Speaker 2: later had me. And that's their story. And that's how
- 8:26Speaker 2: she got here. And she came on a plane.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Yeah, my mom came in a plane too, because not everybody. Yes,
- 8:31Speaker 4: my mom was lucky enough too, they got to come in.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I don't know that it was like a lottery. I
- 8:35Speaker 4: remember my mother, just like your mom always never really
- 8:38Speaker 4: liked to talk so much about Cuba because I feel
- 8:41Speaker 4: like our parents' generation that were forced out of their
- 8:44Speaker 4: country is such like a bad memory, you know, in
- 8:47Speaker 4: their and you know that time in their life that
- 8:49Speaker 4: they really didn't want to talk about it. But you
- 8:52Speaker 4: know I did hear like different stories, and I remember
- 8:54Speaker 4: the first time when I went back to Cuba for
- 8:56Speaker 4: like art reasons with a friend of mine, I had
- 8:59Speaker 4: to lie to my mom.
- 9:00Speaker 1: My mom did not know that I was going, that
- 9:02Speaker 1: I was going to.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Cuba because my mom liked that person that was would
- 9:06Speaker 4: have never gone back to Cuba.
- 9:07Speaker 3: My mother never went back either, never, So I.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Lied to my mom.
- 9:12Speaker 4: But because I would talk to my mom for you know,
- 9:15Speaker 4: every day, just like you, so many times a day,
- 9:18Speaker 4: my mom was like Alexia was Alexia, like I know,
- 9:21Speaker 4: there's something going on. So basically like herman had to
- 9:23Speaker 4: tell her, like your daughter's in Cuba. Oh no, right,
- 9:27Speaker 4: but she went with her friend and everything's okay, but
- 9:29Speaker 4: like she didn't want to tell you because she knew
- 9:31Speaker 4: was going to upset you. And so of course when
- 9:34Speaker 4: I was in Lamana, I went to different art and
- 9:36Speaker 4: cultural things because like I said, I accompanied a front
- 9:38Speaker 4: of mine that was very much into Cuban art, and
- 9:41Speaker 4: I got to visit l n A Lamana and I
- 9:43Speaker 4: took pictures and I thought I was going to come
- 9:45Speaker 4: back and share all these things with my mom. And
- 9:47Speaker 4: when I saw my mom and I sat down and
- 9:49Speaker 4: I wanted to tell her all these things.
- 9:50Speaker 1: She started shrying and she was like, I.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Mean, you know, I mean, Santo, I don't want to
- 9:55Speaker 4: see any pictures of that. I had to leave, you know,
- 9:58Speaker 4: my country. She was, she was very nostalgic. And then
- 10:01Speaker 4: she gave me the example. She goes, Alexia, imagine you being,
- 10:05Speaker 4: you know, and when you were in school, like in
- 10:08Speaker 4: your university, and that they come and they tell you
- 10:10Speaker 4: you have to move out of this house. You have
- 10:13Speaker 4: to leave your family behind. You never know when you're
- 10:15Speaker 4: going to see them again. And they take all your
- 10:17Speaker 4: degrees from your all your education.
- 10:18Speaker 1: You're nothing.
- 10:19Speaker 4: They're just like everything you get claim if you want
- 10:22Speaker 4: to it's nothing. You have to start from zero again, yea.
- 10:25Speaker 4: And she's like, so how can I, you know, be
- 10:27Speaker 4: okay with that? How can I just you know, listen,
- 10:29Speaker 4: because I was trying to tell my mom, Mom, you
- 10:31Speaker 4: know things are changing, you know, hopefully, you know there's
- 10:34Speaker 4: going to be you know, you know you're going to
- 10:36Speaker 4: get to live it, you can get to see it.
- 10:37Speaker 4: You know, there might be a future, things opening up.
- 10:40Speaker 4: And my mother's like, no, no, no, like this is
- 10:42Speaker 4: why we left. You know, you can't believe that, Like
- 10:45Speaker 4: that's never I mean, I wish it would happen, but
- 10:47Speaker 4: you know, here we are again. That must have been
- 10:49Speaker 4: like seventeen years ago, and seventeen years have happened and
- 10:53Speaker 4: it's still communists and it's still you know, the way
- 10:56Speaker 4: that that they left it. And like I said, you know,
- 10:59Speaker 4: my mom did leave live like two or three years
- 11:01Speaker 4: that revolution, and I think that that's why she was
- 11:04Speaker 4: so you know, affected by it, and she wanted nothing
- 11:07Speaker 4: to do with knowing that I had gone.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Back to see Cuba.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I wanted to see where my parents were from.
- 11:12Speaker 4: You know, had a different you know, you know, and
- 11:14Speaker 4: even after, like I wanted, I took my kids because
- 11:16Speaker 4: my kids were like, Mom, we want to know where,
- 11:18Speaker 4: like we we're from, we want to know where you know,
- 11:21Speaker 4: my mom, my grandmother, their dad was born in Cuba
- 11:24Speaker 4: and came at a very young age. But you know,
- 11:26Speaker 4: their dad's family is very Cuban, so he wanted to
- 11:28Speaker 4: see that. He's like, you know, we want to see
- 11:30Speaker 4: like the Cuba that your parents left, which, by the way,
- 11:33Speaker 4: is the same like nineteen fifty nine, sixty sixty one.
- 11:35Speaker 4: It's kind of like it stopped in time, like you
- 11:38Speaker 4: go back now and it's the same Cuba that our
- 11:40Speaker 4: parents left because nothing's been done obviously, So it was
- 11:44Speaker 4: you know, it was it was a good experience for me.
- 11:46Speaker 4: But I always respected that my parents and you know,
- 11:49Speaker 4: our parents' generation felt the way that they do, because
- 11:53Speaker 4: when my mom really you know, turned it back to
- 11:55Speaker 4: me and gave me that example, I said, I'm sorry, Mom,
- 11:57Speaker 4: I'm sorry for you know, for doing that, for disappointing,
- 12:00Speaker 4: but I also wanted her to see that For me,
- 12:02Speaker 4: it was more about knowing where she came from and
- 12:05Speaker 4: you know, going back and listening to all those stories
- 12:07Speaker 4: that she told me. Like when I got to Cuban,
- 12:09Speaker 4: i met Cubans, they were like, how do you know
- 12:11Speaker 4: so much about Cuba? And I said, because my parents
- 12:13Speaker 4: would talk about Cuban and the culture and the traditions,
- 12:17Speaker 4: like every single day we continued to celebrate you know,
- 12:20Speaker 4: Nouana and eat Cuban food and speaking Spanish like you know,
- 12:24Speaker 4: we we grew up you know, very Cuban.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I barely did any of that.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Well, you had a gringo die. Your father was American, he.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Was, and he did not want rice and beans. He
- 12:35Speaker 2: wanted American food.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Why they're so good American people of rice and beans?
- 12:39Speaker 3: He didn't like it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: He's like it tastes like dirt. I want pasa, I
- 12:43Speaker 2: want stay. We had steak every night, salad. It was
- 12:47Speaker 2: very American European at home. Yeah, and she never really
- 12:51Speaker 2: talked about Cuba.
- 12:52Speaker 4: That's surprising because you're really you're very Cuban like the
- 12:56Speaker 4: way that you are, you know, considering it's from so
- 12:59Speaker 4: non Cuban.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Miami raised me, right.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I was raised by my city, and I find it
- 13:05Speaker 2: very fun I love the folklore.
- 13:07Speaker 3: I loved talking Guana. It's very funny.
- 13:10Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean I remember like she was very
- 13:14Speaker 1: in her own way.
- 13:15Speaker 3: She was very Latin, but I was felt like she
- 13:19Speaker 3: was so Italian in her own way too, like I
- 13:21Speaker 3: don't know she was.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Well, my mom was very European too, my mom.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Yeah, my mom, she was Spanish and she says it
- 13:27Speaker 4: I wouldn't I would be you know, Parisian, so also
- 13:31Speaker 4: very European. Yeah, she's also very pain but like inside
- 13:34Speaker 4: of her, you know, she had like that, you know,
- 13:36Speaker 4: instilled in her. So yeah, so that's where we come from.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't get too much info.
- 13:44Speaker 2: It was all about like my mother would keep scraps
- 13:47Speaker 2: and scraps of newspapers and articles like the day my
- 13:50Speaker 2: dad was born, when it came out in the newspaper
- 13:51Speaker 2: in nineteen twenty nine, and you know, like everything that
- 13:54Speaker 2: my family did on the American.
- 13:56Speaker 3: So I because she had no records nothing.
- 13:57Speaker 2: She really loved my gringo waspy father and that whole lineage.
- 14:07Speaker 3: And yeah, so that's that.
- 14:10Speaker 1: That's very interesting. Yeah, I like that too. You have
- 14:14Speaker 1: a good mix, my friend.
- 14:16Speaker 3: That's why we like each other because we're so different.
- 14:18Speaker 3: We're a lot the like, but we're very different too.
- 14:21Speaker 1: That is true. That is true.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Opposite a tract. Hey, guys, Rosa in Sanchez. I'm Eric
- 14:31Speaker 3: Winter and together we host that he said Aodijo podcast.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Yes, after eighteen years together, fifteen married, we still disagree
- 14:39Speaker 5: about a lot of things, but we do it with
- 14:41Speaker 5: mutual more right, Eric, Yes, dear, whatever you say, I mean,
- 14:44Speaker 5: sometimes you can be a dream pupper.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Okay, here we go again.
- 14:48Speaker 5: But I love the way we can be open and honest.
- 14:50Speaker 3: With each other.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe a little too much, but that's what people like,
- 14:53Speaker 5: a real couple going through real things. Well, when we're
- 14:58Speaker 5: not disagreeing, slash or and we definitely chat with some
- 15:01Speaker 5: fascinating people, actors, musicians, life coaches, marriage experts. We definitely
- 15:06Speaker 5: need those.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Oh god.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Anyways, we love our listeners and they've been so supportive
- 15:12Speaker 5: through the years, so we must be doing something completely right.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Listen to his Sada Yadio as a part of Michael
- 15:18Speaker 5: Tura Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or whatever
- 15:22Speaker 5: you listen to podcasts.
- 15:30Speaker 2: All right, hot topics of the week. What are we
- 15:33Speaker 2: gonna chit chat about today?
- 15:34Speaker 3: My friend?
- 15:35Speaker 4: Why don't we start off what MESSI said about coming
- 15:40Speaker 4: to Miami.
- 15:41Speaker 1: How special and cool is that? You know?
- 15:44Speaker 4: I know you're not very into sports. It's a little
- 15:46Speaker 4: bit more sporty than you, but like, this is so good.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You're more sporty spies. But I live with three boys
- 15:53Speaker 2: and they love sports, so I have to listen to it.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I listen to it. I obsorb the plasmosis.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Right, Well, it's a big deal. You know.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I've always been I've never been such a fan of soccer,
- 16:05Speaker 4: but I am a fan of sports on my city,
- 16:08Speaker 4: so I know how incredible this is going to be
- 16:10Speaker 4: for our team and for our city.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's we're excited about it.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Not that we need any more people in Miami because
- 16:16Speaker 4: I'm you know, everybody wants to live here.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Or another organized sports team, but we'll take it.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Right well, it already exists, by the way, he's just
- 16:23Speaker 4: going to join it.
- 16:25Speaker 3: He's going to blow it up.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I mean with somebody like him obviously joining the team,
- 16:31Speaker 4: it's going to take our team and our city to
- 16:33Speaker 4: a different level because there's definitely going to be more
- 16:35Speaker 4: interest than you know, I plan.
- 16:37Speaker 1: To go to the games. I don't know about you.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I said to Steve, I'm like, since soccer's starting up,
- 16:42Speaker 2: maybe we can get those year round seats you know
- 16:45Speaker 2: that we missed out on on the Heat. And he's like, oh,
- 16:47Speaker 2: they're already quadruple what they were worth. You can forget
- 16:50Speaker 2: about that, you know, right. But yeah, So this guy,
- 16:54Speaker 2: so Beckham was able to buy the franchise for twenty
- 16:58Speaker 2: five million, and now this kid joined and it's where
- 17:00Speaker 2: a billion dollars.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Talk about that.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Right the play, I think he killed it.
- 17:06Speaker 4: You know. First of all, let's talk about like I've
- 17:08Speaker 4: always been a fan of him, you know, of Messy
- 17:11Speaker 4: and by the way, he owns an apartment here in
- 17:13Speaker 4: Borsh I think he has it rented or.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Have you seen him at the hallways.
- 17:16Speaker 4: I've seen him before, you know, fix years. He's cute,
- 17:21Speaker 4: you know, he's he's he's he's cute. Yeah, he's a cute.
- 17:25Speaker 4: His wife is very cute. Also, they have a very
- 17:27Speaker 4: nice family. They're always together. And also seen him around
- 17:29Speaker 4: in Miami and I love that there's such a united
- 17:33Speaker 4: family and they're always together. So I think that's one
- 17:37Speaker 4: of the things, you know, like when I like the player,
- 17:39Speaker 4: I kind of like to know who he is, where
- 17:41Speaker 4: he came from, how he started, and what he's about.
- 17:44Speaker 4: So I've always been like his fan, you know, not
- 17:46Speaker 4: only as a soccer player and the skills he has
- 17:48Speaker 4: and the talent he has, but like who he is
- 17:50Speaker 4: as a person. And I feel like, you know, you
- 17:53Speaker 4: can say hi to him and he says hi, he'll
- 17:54Speaker 4: take a picture.
- 17:56Speaker 1: And I love what he did recently.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I don't know if you've heard about that when he
- 17:59Speaker 4: was walking in the red carpet with his wife and
- 18:01Speaker 4: the children, and they were taking a picture, and after
- 18:05Speaker 4: they took the whole family picture, like the paparazzi, the
- 18:07Speaker 4: photographer was saying, like you look to his wife like okay,
- 18:10Speaker 4: now you can get out of the picture, and she's
- 18:13Speaker 4: like okay, so she, you know, following the rules whatever,
- 18:16Speaker 4: she wants to step away from the picture, and he goes, no, no, no,
- 18:18Speaker 4: that's my wife and.
- 18:19Speaker 1: She's staying in the picture. So she came back and
- 18:23Speaker 1: he took the picture.
- 18:24Speaker 4: All his pictures were with his family, and I was like,
- 18:26Speaker 4: what a guy like? What a man like? What a
- 18:28Speaker 4: husband like? I fell in love even more with him.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Isn't that the main reason why he wants to live
- 18:33Speaker 3: in Miami? First family?
- 18:35Speaker 1: Of course? I mean, how much more money does this
- 18:37Speaker 1: guy want? Right?
- 18:38Speaker 4: Like, this is a guy who's like putting all this
- 18:40Speaker 4: money aside and say, how much more money than I want?
- 18:42Speaker 1: My family's more important. Miami is the city.
- 18:45Speaker 4: I think her parents or his parents also live here
- 18:48Speaker 4: and have an apartment actually down the street from me too,
- 18:50Speaker 4: in Sunny Aisles, and they want to be here. And
- 18:55Speaker 4: he's so young, he's going to have such an incredible
- 18:58Speaker 4: future is going to continue to have it with the
- 18:59Speaker 4: team team, and he's actually going to be owners.
- 19:02Speaker 1: They're going to give him ownership, and.
- 19:03Speaker 4: He has a Didus that's also going to give him
- 19:05Speaker 4: a share and Apple.
- 19:06Speaker 2: He's going to make so so so much money, more
- 19:10Speaker 2: than whatever they offered him in Saudi Arabia. Way more
- 19:14Speaker 2: four hundred million they offered him, right, Yeah, four hundred
- 19:16Speaker 2: million is that what they offered him.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 4: But besides that, I don't think he wanted to play
- 19:20Speaker 4: with his rival, Likeitiano Ronaldo's already there, Cristiano Ronaldo, so
- 19:24Speaker 4: like for him, it was like, why would I want
- 19:26Speaker 4: to play with my rival? He's always been his rival,
- 19:28Speaker 4: and like, I don't need more money. He's thirty six
- 19:31Speaker 4: years old, He's probably he.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Wants to be his own star and lead his own team.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Yes, and I think that he can do it. I
- 19:36Speaker 1: am super proud.
- 19:37Speaker 4: I can't wait to see him around Miami and I
- 19:39Speaker 4: know he's going to continue to be as nice and
- 19:41Speaker 4: humble and sweet. I think it was the right decision obviously,
- 19:46Speaker 4: That's why he did it for him and his family,
- 19:49Speaker 4: and sometimes it's not all about the money.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Well, he's going.
- 19:52Speaker 2: To do real well with those deals because those deals
- 19:54Speaker 2: are more than no.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Even financially, this makes more sense because he's going to
- 19:58Speaker 4: have a stake in the team, so like, not only
- 20:00Speaker 4: are you gonna play it, you're gonna own it. So
- 20:02Speaker 4: that's that's pretty cool.
- 20:04Speaker 1: And yeah, well, how are people visiting from all over
- 20:06Speaker 1: the world to watch Messi?
- 20:08Speaker 2: Miami is getting so crowded. There's a lot of celebrities
- 20:13Speaker 2: living here. I think the celebrities also like to come
- 20:15Speaker 2: here that I don't feel like the paparazzi. I mean,
- 20:19Speaker 2: they're around, but they're not as invasive as they are
- 20:21Speaker 2: in Europe.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I think, like in Europe.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Spain about that before we even Shakira.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Shakira is nown here in Miami because that's one of
- 20:29Speaker 4: the reasons, obviously, because the proparazzi are literally they live
- 20:33Speaker 4: outside your house. There's no privacy. It's all about getting
- 20:36Speaker 4: that picture getting into the Ola magazine, and it's really
- 20:39Speaker 4: really becomes tiresome.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I think he just didn't want it.
- 20:42Speaker 4: He was done with Europe, you know, he was done
- 20:44Speaker 4: with Europe and he had you know, a great career
- 20:46Speaker 4: over there, and I think in Miami or in like
- 20:49Speaker 4: the States, you know, maybe not Hollywood or California. But
- 20:52Speaker 4: I feel like here in Miami we're not there yet.
- 20:55Speaker 4: We're not there yet.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I'm not going to say that five.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Years from today or ten years from now that you know,
- 20:59Speaker 4: we won't be that city. Because of the amount of
- 21:03Speaker 4: celebrities that we have here, there's going to be you know,
- 21:05Speaker 4: papazzing outside.
- 21:07Speaker 3: We go to La a lot.
- 21:08Speaker 2: It's not that bad, you know, the places where they're
- 21:10Speaker 2: hanging out and the places where they're not.
- 21:13Speaker 3: It's not that horrible, no.
- 21:15Speaker 1: But it is.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I mean as far as that goes, yes, but if
- 21:17Speaker 4: they know where your home is, how do you control that?
- 21:19Speaker 3: New York's I think it's worse.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Well, hopefully Miami won't become that because I love our
- 21:24Speaker 4: city to be you know, chill, and I love you know,
- 21:26Speaker 4: for people to be able to you know, to have
- 21:29Speaker 4: a life. I mean it's already hard enough, you know
- 21:32Speaker 4: what they do. I mean, he's really an athlete, Like
- 21:34Speaker 4: who cares if he's like coming out of his house,
- 21:36Speaker 4: you know, with his wife or his kids.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I mean, unless he's doing something he shouldn't be doing
- 21:40Speaker 2: and that's the picture. But if he's always with his family.
- 21:43Speaker 4: And unfortunately that's what people want to see to get
- 21:46Speaker 4: in trouble. He's a he's a great guy.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I was just watching the Anna Nicole Smith documentary on Netflix,
- 21:54Speaker 2: and there was a she would constantly bash her mother
- 21:58Speaker 2: and say that she had a very abusive upbringing, but
- 22:01Speaker 2: apparently she didn't, and she told her mother would be like, Anna,
- 22:04Speaker 2: why do you say those things? And she said, because
- 22:06Speaker 2: nobody wants to hear good news. They love the bad news.
- 22:09Speaker 2: They love to know that things are going wrong in
- 22:11Speaker 2: your life. And I make more money if people know
- 22:14Speaker 2: things are going wrong in my life than if they're
- 22:16Speaker 2: going great.
- 22:17Speaker 1: So that's very sad. It is very that's very sad.
- 22:20Speaker 4: But unfortunately we know that's true because yeah, because we know,
- 22:27Speaker 4: because we know, just take it from us. We know, right,
- 22:30Speaker 4: And even though we want the world to be a
- 22:32Speaker 4: better place and we're always you know, obviously encouraging not
- 22:35Speaker 4: talking about all those things, I feel like secretly people
- 22:39Speaker 4: don't wish you well and don't want to see I mean,
- 22:41Speaker 4: I can't speak for everybody, obviously, but you know, I
- 22:43Speaker 4: think in general, you know, even though we've made so
- 22:45Speaker 4: much progress and so many issues social issues, I think
- 22:49Speaker 4: that we still live in a world with with you know,
- 22:51Speaker 4: a lot of hate and unacceptance. But yeah, here in
- 22:55Speaker 4: our city, we want to focus on the good and
- 22:58Speaker 4: people loving Miami.
- 23:00Speaker 3: And I know you and I do. I don't know
- 23:01Speaker 3: about everybody else, but I know you not.
- 23:04Speaker 4: But coming to have a family, you know, I think
- 23:05Speaker 4: it's you know, Shakira came to raise her kids here
- 23:08Speaker 4: with her both you know, young children, so you know,
- 23:11Speaker 4: I mean, I know Miami scene as like a party city,
- 23:13Speaker 4: you know, and it is. We have that too, But
- 23:15Speaker 4: I think it's really great like families like Shakira and
- 23:18Speaker 4: like a MESSI you know, to come David Beckham and
- 23:21Speaker 4: his family, you know, they also have children. You know.
- 23:23Speaker 4: I think that that's a very positive thing for our city.
- 23:25Speaker 4: And I'm very to have all those amazing families here.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm very excited about that. Yeah, and this boy
- 23:32Speaker 2: is going to make a lot of mine. This is
- 23:35Speaker 2: actually a better offer than what he was getting.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, for sure. Well that's why he did it.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Just the Adidas deal. I mean, if they're giving him
- 23:41Speaker 3: a percentage, Look how much Michael Jordan makes a year
- 23:44Speaker 3: of Nike, you know, how much he makes a year?
- 23:46Speaker 4: Four hundred million hopefully Messi's mom is negotiating the deal too,
- 23:50Speaker 4: just like Michael's mom did.
- 23:51Speaker 3: That would be great, that's the same money.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Well, no, his mammy had Intena.
- 23:55Speaker 4: His mom's nott in Dina, so she's probably a good
- 23:57Speaker 4: negotiator too.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Yeah, the deal.
- 24:00Speaker 4: And by the way, Adidas needs to need like somebody
- 24:03Speaker 4: like Messy because you know, wasn't it Kanye that was
- 24:06Speaker 4: like associated with Adidas and the Easies and all that
- 24:09Speaker 4: scandal before.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So they need to get back to athletics and get
- 24:12Speaker 2: out of fashion for a bit.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, I agree.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Well, talking about Kanye, yeah, we're not going to talk
- 24:20Speaker 4: about certain things other people like to talk about him
- 24:22Speaker 4: because I actually like him too.
- 24:24Speaker 3: He's a little bit of an enigma to me.
- 24:26Speaker 4: He is, but that's you know, that's that's that's interesting, right, Yeah,
- 24:31Speaker 4: that he himself doesn't know like who like who he
- 24:33Speaker 4: is or how he is. But I'm happy that he's
- 24:35Speaker 4: found some you know, happiness and peace. That looks like
- 24:37Speaker 4: with his with his new wife.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Right, doesn't he seem calmer?
- 24:41Speaker 2: He does, or quieter, or he retreated or he just
- 24:45Speaker 2: I don't know, or maybe he just got a big
- 24:47Speaker 2: spanking from life and he needs to go away for
- 24:49Speaker 2: a little bit and recalibrate.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's hard to get you know, it's easy,
- 24:54Speaker 4: Actually not hard, it's easily.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Is it easy?
- 24:57Speaker 4: And no, it's easy. Well, you want to get caught
- 25:08Speaker 4: up and that, you know, especially when you were married
- 25:11Speaker 4: to Kim Kardashian and and I lived that kind of life.
- 25:15Speaker 4: You know, I can't even imagine. And he got so
- 25:18Speaker 4: sucked up in it. And I'm very happy to see
- 25:20Speaker 4: that he's, you know, found some peace. Yeah, he looks
- 25:23Speaker 4: like and a woman, because you know, sometimes a woman
- 25:26Speaker 4: can take you to hell, or a good woman can
- 25:28Speaker 4: actually bring you some peace and stability in your life.
- 25:31Speaker 2: He must be creating something good because he's very quiet.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I hope so.
- 25:35Speaker 4: And because they took away a lot of his money
- 25:37Speaker 4: or he lost a lot of his money, so he
- 25:39Speaker 4: needs to replace it.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Mm hmmm. Yeah, he needs to recalibrate for sure.
- 25:44Speaker 4: But you know, I'm happy that he's around with now North.
- 25:47Speaker 4: You know, that's what I've been reading that. You know,
- 25:50Speaker 4: North spent the week and for his forty sixth birthday
- 25:53Speaker 4: that he got to celebrate with his wife and North
- 25:55Speaker 4: his daughter was there and she seemed very like loving
- 25:58Speaker 4: with his new wife, Bianca. So you know, I'm always
- 26:01Speaker 4: happy to see that because I know, as a parent
- 26:03Speaker 4: it's very important for your children to love who you're with,
- 26:07Speaker 4: and I'm sure it's important, you know, for the children
- 26:10Speaker 4: to feel loved by whoever your mom or daughter are with.
- 26:13Speaker 4: So I was very happy to see that. How do
- 26:16Speaker 4: you feel about that?
- 26:18Speaker 2: We all know I have no children of my own,
- 26:20Speaker 2: but I was brought into a family through my new
- 26:26Speaker 2: husband and my new relationship where he had his own sons,
- 26:30Speaker 2: step kids, and I met them very quickly, like within
- 26:33Speaker 2: the month of us dating, I met them, and within
- 26:35Speaker 2: two months we were already on a Thanksgiving vacation cruise together,
- 26:40Speaker 2: you know, remember on the boat in the Bahamas. And
- 26:44Speaker 2: you know what, what I what I find from them
- 26:47Speaker 2: is that they love me because they see Steve's happy
- 26:51Speaker 2: and Steve loves me, and that makes them happy and
- 26:53Speaker 2: that's all they.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Care about, right Serry. Stepsons are older, sometimes the kids
- 26:57Speaker 4: are younger teenage, and they really don't have a voice
- 26:59Speaker 4: or don't have a choice. But you know, I feel
- 27:02Speaker 4: like it's not so much how long does it take
- 27:05Speaker 4: or what's the right amount of time. I think it's
- 27:07Speaker 4: more like it should be the right person, right Like
- 27:10Speaker 4: for example, like sometimes you're dating or getting to know someone,
- 27:13Speaker 4: but you kind of know it's not that guy or
- 27:15Speaker 4: it's not that girl. I don't think you should bring
- 27:17Speaker 4: your kids around, you know. I feel like you need
- 27:19Speaker 4: to have something more solid. You have to be more
- 27:22Speaker 4: like you have to know before because you mean, the
- 27:24Speaker 4: kids get attached to these people and you don't want
- 27:29Speaker 4: to see like you know your mom or dad right
- 27:31Speaker 4: like switching partners every three or four months. Oh by
- 27:33Speaker 4: the way, this is my new boyfriend or new girlfriend.
- 27:35Speaker 4: At any age, it doesn't matter whether you're a little
- 27:36Speaker 4: kid or you're an adult.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 27:38Speaker 2: It's it's difficult because you get attached obviously, and I me,
- 27:42Speaker 2: you know, my parents were married until they died, but
- 27:45Speaker 2: I can imagine that the attachment and then the severing
- 27:48Speaker 2: of that is very difficult. And it's up to the
- 27:53Speaker 2: parent to decide if this is the right time or not. So,
- 27:57Speaker 2: you know, it's a difficult call to pick a time
- 28:02Speaker 2: frame when it's the right time. Because some people pretend
- 28:04Speaker 2: to be great and you think you're doing amazing with them.
- 28:06Speaker 2: In a few years down the road, they're a totally
- 28:08Speaker 2: different person and you get blindsided and that things don't
- 28:11Speaker 2: work out.
- 28:11Speaker 3: So every situation, I mean, I think.
- 28:14Speaker 4: That some people overthink it, and those are the people
- 28:16Speaker 4: that take forever to kind of like bring, you know,
- 28:19Speaker 4: to introduce their kids to their partners. And then I
- 28:23Speaker 4: think that some other people, you know, men or women,
- 28:25Speaker 4: could just be very quick and even without thinking about it,
- 28:28Speaker 4: they're like, oh, meet my kids. Right, So I think
- 28:31Speaker 4: it's something that's.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Personal, you know, I think it's obviously it's something that's.
- 28:34Speaker 4: Very personal, and you kind of have to know whether
- 28:38Speaker 4: it's worth it or not or like, yeah, this is
- 28:40Speaker 4: the person that I can see myself, you know, and
- 28:43Speaker 4: at least the rest of the year and the holidays
- 28:45Speaker 4: and all this, so you know, it's a good time
- 28:46Speaker 4: you guys meet and other times, you know, when it's
- 28:49Speaker 4: not that person, I.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Think you should keep your kids away.
- 28:52Speaker 4: It's unnecessary, Like you're the one that's in the relationship
- 28:55Speaker 4: with the matter of woman, like, not your kids, So
- 28:58Speaker 4: you need to take your time.
- 28:59Speaker 2: And Pete is I mean, listen to me, Pete, you're
- 29:02Speaker 2: talking David Pete Davidson, Well, she's an kid. Yeah, she
- 29:08Speaker 2: brought North around him at six well, I don't know
- 29:12Speaker 2: when she brought him around, but the first photos came
- 29:14Speaker 2: out after six months. Kanye is allegedly married to this woman,
- 29:18Speaker 2: but not legally, so she's a wife.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:21Speaker 4: They're all they want to already discussed about the legality
- 29:24Speaker 4: of things. You know, a piece of paper doesn't really
- 29:26Speaker 4: change things. But if you're with this person, and obviously
- 29:29Speaker 4: he is, she's been in his life for you said
- 29:31Speaker 4: a year or two, I mean, that's that's important in
- 29:34Speaker 4: Kanye's life.
- 29:35Speaker 1: So I think it's important, you know.
- 29:37Speaker 4: So imagine he's having a birthday party and he can't
- 29:40Speaker 4: invite his kids because you know, you don't want your
- 29:43Speaker 4: kids around this person I'm with. I think it's important
- 29:45Speaker 4: because as a parent, you want your kids to like
- 29:48Speaker 4: and love and respect the person that you're with. And
- 29:51Speaker 4: even though North is still a very young child, she
- 29:53Speaker 4: knows what's going on. You know, it's not like what
- 29:55Speaker 4: we were growing up, MADDI like, nowadays, these kids know everything.
- 29:58Speaker 4: I mean, you think North isn't reading about these things. Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 4: you know, it wasn't like when we were growing up
- 30:02Speaker 4: that our parents were going to talk certain things.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Have big ears. I heard that so much.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Go to your room. Everything was like so I never
- 30:13Speaker 4: really heard like adult conversation when I was growing up,
- 30:15Speaker 4: you know, unless it was like my mistake, I wasn't
- 30:17Speaker 4: supposed to hear it. But nowadays, I feel like the
- 30:20Speaker 4: kids are always around and they have so much information.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Well they know that you would remember because you remember everything.
- 30:26Speaker 2: They're like, get Alexia, how are you're just gonna remember
- 30:28Speaker 2: everything was.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Talking about got out twenty years from no no, but
- 30:33Speaker 4: the thing is exactly no.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But the thing no. Back then it was just like
- 30:37Speaker 1: a different preventing style.
- 30:38Speaker 4: But I feel like today, you know, the parents do
- 30:42Speaker 4: want to involve the children and everything, and the children
- 30:45Speaker 4: like have a say and have an opinion, and you
- 30:47Speaker 4: want to take your you know, your children's you know,
- 30:49Speaker 4: feelings into consideration. But again, you know, I mean, who
- 30:54Speaker 4: am I to say or you right? Like when is it?
- 30:57Speaker 1: How?
- 30:57Speaker 4: When is the right time? Nobody has an answer. It
- 31:00Speaker 4: has to be right for you. And that's why it
- 31:02Speaker 4: has to be right for you, guys, to make sense
- 31:04Speaker 4: for you.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 31:05Speaker 4: I remember in Hollywood it's not like they live, you know,
- 31:08Speaker 4: like they stay together like for such a long time.
- 31:11Speaker 4: So it's like if you don't introduce them soon you
- 31:13Speaker 4: may never meet them again.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Well, in that family, definitely, they keep they keep recycling quickly.
- 31:20Speaker 4: But I feel like other people like it have gone
- 31:22Speaker 4: like that, that same critique.
- 31:24Speaker 1: You know.
- 31:24Speaker 4: I think Jennifer Lopez is another one that you know always,
- 31:27Speaker 4: you know, brings her children, you know, into all her relationships.
- 31:31Speaker 4: But if you want to see the good in it,
- 31:33Speaker 4: there's going to be a good argument and a bad argument.
- 31:36Speaker 4: So like, is it mentally healthy psychologically for the child
- 31:39Speaker 4: you know, to see this and to introduce them to
- 31:42Speaker 4: or is it because she's such a good mother she
- 31:45Speaker 4: wants to like embrace her family and she wants to
- 31:47Speaker 4: bring the kids in and she wants to make sure
- 31:49Speaker 4: like everybody gets along and do the blended family thing.
- 31:52Speaker 4: I mean, it's something that's really personal and you just
- 31:55Speaker 4: have to know yourself, right. I mean, I don't know
- 31:58Speaker 4: about psychologists or anybody in the mental health thing, like
- 32:02Speaker 4: it's it's been proven right or there's like research to
- 32:05Speaker 4: back this up.
- 32:05Speaker 3: I don't mean Nancy for that, because she would have
- 32:08Speaker 3: had the research.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Well, my alm was married and divorced sometimes, so I
- 32:12Speaker 4: met I met a lot of guys, how but you know, yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 4: so so it depends, you know, Like again, I mean
- 32:20Speaker 4: she'd try to hide those.
- 32:21Speaker 3: She did, but you would find out. Yeah, that's why
- 32:23Speaker 3: she'd send you to Quarto. Oh yeah what.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I and like, look, I don't even know what the
- 32:34Speaker 2: hell I would have done. For God's sake? How many
- 32:36Speaker 2: times have I rushed into a relationship? Thank God I
- 32:39Speaker 2: didn't have kids. Who knows what I would have put
- 32:41Speaker 2: them through. Meet this, well, meet that one. I love
- 32:44Speaker 2: this one, I love that one. They would have hated me.
- 32:47Speaker 2: They would have been very confused.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Right, Like I can only speak like you know about me,
- 32:52Speaker 4: you know, like having my kids, and sometimes you're in
- 32:55Speaker 4: a relationship with the guy, and then it's important to
- 32:57Speaker 4: know whether the guy is going to be accept of
- 33:00Speaker 4: your of your children, and it's going to be loving
- 33:02Speaker 4: and it's you know, because that's you know, obviously for
- 33:04Speaker 4: a mom, a very important trait that Narayana has to have.
- 33:07Speaker 4: So if the man doesn't like children and he doesn't
- 33:10Speaker 4: like to be around children, it's kind of like in
- 33:12Speaker 4: the beginning you can kind of you know, understand that
- 33:15Speaker 4: and say, you know what, then you're.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Not has that ever happened to you?
- 33:18Speaker 2: Have you ever noticed someone that you thought this isn't
- 33:20Speaker 2: good for my kids or this guy.
- 33:22Speaker 1: No.
- 33:23Speaker 4: I mean I was lucky enough that, you know, after
- 33:26Speaker 4: the dad I had.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Herman that was super loving.
- 33:29Speaker 4: That's how he actually won me over because he was
- 33:30Speaker 4: so loving with my kids. You know, he adored my kids,
- 33:34Speaker 4: my kids, So I was very blessed with that. So
- 33:36Speaker 4: to me, that's a deal breaker, Like you have to
- 33:38Speaker 4: love my kids. You know, I come with the whole package,
- 33:41Speaker 4: so you have to love.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Me and my kids.
- 33:42Speaker 4: And they were young, so it was easier, you know
- 33:45Speaker 4: in a way. I mean they were kind of hard
- 33:46Speaker 4: with Herman by the way.
- 33:47Speaker 3: They were so little, they were hard. They were so
- 33:50Speaker 3: little for they were.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Hard that age. They only want you to be with
- 33:54Speaker 1: their daddy. Yeah, they only want you to be with
- 33:57Speaker 1: their dad. Remember, So that's how it is. And then
- 34:00Speaker 1: you know, I was like so involved.
- 34:01Speaker 4: You know. They always, you know, small children always think
- 34:04Speaker 4: that whoever comes it's going to take that love away
- 34:06Speaker 4: from them, and it's going to like take their mom
- 34:08Speaker 4: and dad for them or that. So you know, that's
- 34:11Speaker 4: what they think when they're little, and you know, as
- 34:13Speaker 4: they get older there's different issues, you know, but but.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, it's just like working through them.
- 34:18Speaker 4: But I think, you know, as a mother and even
- 34:20Speaker 4: as a father Americ only speak, I'm sure the man
- 34:22Speaker 4: wants the same thing. You know, the man wants to
- 34:25Speaker 4: know that he's with a woman if she doesn't come
- 34:27Speaker 4: with kids and he has kids, that is going to
- 34:30Speaker 4: be accepting of his kids, and it's going to include them,
- 34:32Speaker 4: and he's going to love them. And you know, you're
- 34:34Speaker 4: not there to replace their mother or father, but you're
- 34:36Speaker 4: there to be their friends and to support them.
- 34:39Speaker 3: And that's what I do to love.
- 34:41Speaker 2: I just try to be like a friend, a big sister.
- 34:43Speaker 2: I'm not here to teach anybody anything. Just remind them
- 34:46Speaker 2: it's Father's Day, which by the way, is coming up.
- 34:48Speaker 2: And I reminded them five times it's Father's Day. Don't
- 34:51Speaker 2: forget about Father's Day.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that's that's all we can do.
- 34:56Speaker 2: They have a mom and they have a dad that
- 34:57Speaker 2: raised them. And my step kids are so nice, and
- 35:00Speaker 2: so asked him that maybe I shouldn't. I definitely shouldn't
- 35:03Speaker 2: get involved because I dont want to mess them up
- 35:05Speaker 2: because they're perfect.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Well, I mean, that's good. That made it easier for you.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Then I was lucky. I got very lucky.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Well, hopefully Kanye will get lucky and and you know
- 35:14Speaker 4: all of his kids will love you know, whoever he's with.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I mean, I know he's married to this woman now
- 35:20Speaker 4: or whoever may be, because as a parent, I know
- 35:22Speaker 4: that we we always want that.
- 35:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he seems good. I think he seems calm.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Speaking of parents, can you believe Aino is going to
- 35:38Speaker 4: be a dad.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Him?
- 35:43Speaker 4: No?
- 35:43Speaker 3: No, no, I mean I didn't even think you could
- 35:51Speaker 3: still like have.
- 35:52Speaker 4: That, you know what I mean, Bro, he has a
- 35:55Speaker 4: super sperm.
- 35:56Speaker 3: That guy is like, I know you could still, but you.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Know how full of himself he is right now?
- 36:00Speaker 2: I know even saw a baby, but I didn't think
- 36:02Speaker 2: it was still like sexually active like that.
- 36:05Speaker 3: And his girlfriend's like what twenty nine.
- 36:07Speaker 4: There's something called viagara. Okay, so this is not fair? Okay,
- 36:10Speaker 4: So I know how he can you know, how he
- 36:12Speaker 4: can have sex with her because obviously there's viagraas I know,
- 36:14Speaker 4: they are like stimulants for him and he can get
- 36:17Speaker 4: harder and he can do it. But what about her, well,
- 36:20Speaker 4: I mean, well apparently she.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Was with like make Jacker before, so she's got like
- 36:25Speaker 2: I love, I'm hot for daddy vibes.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Well, I mean she justinitely had daddy issues.
- 36:30Speaker 3: She actually she's hot for Grandpa.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not even daddy.
- 36:34Speaker 4: It's kind of like a Willie though, like a whelo.
- 36:37Speaker 4: She has like a willow complexes. Where's her grandfather?
- 36:40Speaker 3: Please?
- 36:41Speaker 4: And I just think it's gross, honestly because the it's
- 36:45Speaker 4: age difference is so significant. It's so large and like,
- 36:48Speaker 4: don't want to compare. Oh, well there's you know, there's
- 36:51Speaker 4: fifteen twenty years. Bro, this is a lot. This is
- 36:54Speaker 4: two too many years and to the point that it's gross.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Do you think they planned it?
- 37:00Speaker 4: No, he didn't even know himself that he can impregnate
- 37:02Speaker 4: a woman. Think he thought he had done some treatments
- 37:05Speaker 4: in Yes, so he himself. That's why he questioned it.
- 37:08Speaker 4: And she had the praternity test because he didn't know.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Obviously they were having sex, but he didn't know he
- 37:12Speaker 4: could get her pregnant, so she had the you know,
- 37:15Speaker 4: the testing or said he was the father. So now
- 37:18Speaker 4: the guy Cloud nine, he's like, oh, it's super sperm.
- 37:22Speaker 4: I made this happen. I'm eighty three years old.
- 37:24Speaker 3: But he's gonna be the hit at the nursing home. Hey,
- 37:27Speaker 3: I can make anybody.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I'm baby.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Yeah, that guy's never going to see a nursing home. Dude,
- 37:31Speaker 4: he's going out with twenty nine year olds. The guy's
- 37:34Speaker 4: never going to see a nursing home. He's you know,
- 37:36Speaker 4: a nursing home is going to be like at a
- 37:38Speaker 4: girls club, like at a teenager's.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Club, he's gonna die.
- 37:40Speaker 1: And the strips a little bit too much.
- 37:42Speaker 3: He's gonna die at the strip club.
- 37:43Speaker 1: No, I mean, I don't know.
- 37:45Speaker 4: I mean, truthfully, I know everybody's been talking about this
- 37:48Speaker 4: for you, like what's an age difference? Like do you
- 37:50Speaker 4: see anything wrong? And like having this age difference?
- 37:53Speaker 1: Is it just me? Like how do you feel about it?
- 37:55Speaker 2: So, like we said, is it something emotional? Is she
- 37:58Speaker 2: won't have like grandpa shoes? Like I don't know, it's just.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Like why you have those kinds of issues.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to go see other something.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I mean, I know most women in their twenties want
- 38:08Speaker 3: a hot young guy.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Mahina HiPE ye hoy, oh my god, the balls to
- 38:13Speaker 4: the knees.
- 38:14Speaker 3: That's not cute.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I can't.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I mean, let's be honest. She was with Mick Jagger before,
- 38:20Speaker 3: and he's in his seventies that's like I think.
- 38:22Speaker 4: She sets these guys up. I mean, it's not like
- 38:24Speaker 4: I mean anybody could be I get it. You know,
- 38:27Speaker 4: you know these are like legends. You know, I'm not
- 38:29Speaker 4: saying that it's anybody. She must have like some psychological thing,
- 38:32Speaker 4: like I don't care who they are. Obviously she's she's
- 38:35Speaker 4: okay with that old and you know, I just want
- 38:38Speaker 4: to have the attention. You know, some people are like
- 38:40Speaker 4: have these problems that they just want that kind of attention.
- 38:43Speaker 4: They don't care whether it's good or bad, negative or positive.
- 38:46Speaker 4: They just want to be talked about. This must be
- 38:48Speaker 4: one of these instances. And she figures, you know what,
- 38:51Speaker 4: I'm twenty nine, you know, I have a baby with
- 38:54Speaker 4: this guy, and and he'll be the heir or errors
- 38:58Speaker 4: of this fortune empire. And you know what, your dad's
- 39:02Speaker 4: al Pacino. I just I just how does she even
- 39:05Speaker 4: know who a Pacino was? I don't even think she
- 39:07Speaker 4: was born when he was when his movies were like
- 39:09Speaker 4: playing on the screen.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Maybe Mick Jagger told her about him, and then she's like,
- 39:13Speaker 2: that's my next move.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Who knows. All I can say is that I feel bad.
- 39:18Speaker 3: I think it's irresponsible to have a child.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I think it's selfish, yes, because let's be honest, what
- 39:26Speaker 2: has he got five seven, eight years left?
- 39:28Speaker 3: Ten max nineties?
- 39:30Speaker 2: It's hard, No, but he cannot be a great dad
- 39:34Speaker 2: to run around and play football and do all those things.
- 39:37Speaker 4: And okay, you know, I guess what. There's an argument.
- 39:39Speaker 4: There's also an argument. I mean, a great dad doesn't
- 39:42Speaker 4: make you just because you run around and throw a ball.
- 39:45Speaker 1: But what I'm trying to say is.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Even being aparent, when you get older, you lose your coherence.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Well, I think he's not coherent right now. I mean
- 39:52Speaker 4: that this is why he was able to do this.
- 39:54Speaker 4: Like what coherent man? You can go out with a
- 39:56Speaker 4: twenty nine year old? Like, what are you talking about?
- 39:59Speaker 4: She on tiktoking, showing them the tiktoks. I mean, what
- 40:01Speaker 4: does a twenty nine year old have to talk about?
- 40:03Speaker 4: At this point? Anything is possible. But the fact, like,
- 40:07Speaker 4: I don't think he must be like one hundred percent
- 40:09Speaker 4: when you know you can even have a conversation, that's
- 40:12Speaker 4: what somebody you're going to have.
- 40:14Speaker 2: A baby when you're not one hundred percent. It's like
- 40:17Speaker 2: it's we both have parents that got older. We know
- 40:20Speaker 2: how it is.
- 40:20Speaker 3: The decline is strong to have a baby, like, you're
- 40:23Speaker 3: just not going to be able to be a great parent.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Right, It's like I think, I mean, the age difference
- 40:29Speaker 4: is already, you know, really really significant between them. I
- 40:33Speaker 4: can't even imagine what they talk about, what they you know,
- 40:36Speaker 4: their dynamics or anything like that, but having a child.
- 40:40Speaker 3: They have a fifty four year age gap.
- 40:44Speaker 4: The couple that has the largest the most amount of years,
- 40:48Speaker 4: like in Hollywood, I want to say, because I'm sure
- 40:50Speaker 4: there's other couples. I mean, I haven't looked that up
- 40:52Speaker 4: in a Guinness World Record Book or whatever.
- 40:54Speaker 3: I don't know. But Anthony Quinn had his thirteenth child
- 41:00Speaker 3: old when he was eighty six.
- 41:01Speaker 4: I'm still he's trying to beat him.
- 41:04Speaker 1: And what about wholi Les's father? What about do you
- 41:07Speaker 1: remember Huli Las's father. He was a doctor.
- 41:09Speaker 4: He also repregnated a woman and he was like eighty
- 41:12Speaker 4: something years old. Actually was going to look it up
- 41:14Speaker 4: and I forgot.
- 41:15Speaker 3: There's a few of them out there. Yeah, there's a
- 41:17Speaker 3: few of them doing Yeah.
- 41:18Speaker 4: By the way, we live in Miami that we see
- 41:20Speaker 4: this all the time, so we're used to the significant
- 41:24Speaker 4: age gap. Yeah, yeah, I mean we go here, we
- 41:27Speaker 4: go out of all marathon, and we see a lot
- 41:29Speaker 4: of super old men with very young women.
- 41:33Speaker 1: That it just doesn't make any sense.
- 41:36Speaker 4: You know, obviously, they probably have a lot of money,
- 41:39Speaker 4: because there's no other reason why any of these women,
- 41:41Speaker 4: you know, would want to be in a relationship with
- 41:43Speaker 4: somebody that's thirty, forty fifty. But in this particular case,
- 41:46Speaker 4: al Pacino's girlfriend, her family is very wealthy supposedly, so
- 41:52Speaker 4: you know, they're they're kind of saying, like, well, it's
- 41:54Speaker 4: not really because of the money, because obviously that's the
- 41:56Speaker 4: first thing that people think. But I think she's psychological problems,
- 42:00Speaker 4: which you know, is even because she has some kind
- 42:04Speaker 4: of needs that she needs.
- 42:06Speaker 3: To it's definitely psychologic. It's definitely psychological.
- 42:10Speaker 1: For me, it is as well.
- 42:11Speaker 4: And then you see Robert de Niro that did the
- 42:13Speaker 4: same thing a little younger. He had a child when
- 42:15Speaker 4: he was seventy nine and his wife was forty five plus.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Fantastic better they have a smaller age gap, right, thirty
- 42:22Speaker 2: year age gap thirty.
- 42:23Speaker 4: That's okay, And you know, I feel like a woman
- 42:25Speaker 4: that's forty five, don't you think, you know, has a
- 42:27Speaker 4: little bit more understanding life that has a little bit
- 42:30Speaker 4: more wisdom and experience than a twenty nine year old. Yes,
- 42:34Speaker 4: definitely imagine her parents, like her parents are younger, way
- 42:38Speaker 4: younger than al Pacino. Yeah, I know, but you know,
- 42:42Speaker 4: at this point, you know, some people, you know, I'm
- 42:44Speaker 4: sure her parents are saying, well, it doesn't matter because
- 42:46Speaker 4: it's al Pacino, you know, and not too many people
- 42:49Speaker 4: can say that, but in their defense, I'm going to
- 42:52Speaker 4: say something like in their defense, so for example, like
- 42:54Speaker 4: you know, people will be saying, well, you know, he's
- 42:58Speaker 4: you know, it's really selfish and consider it because you
- 43:01Speaker 4: know that the child is not going to have their
- 43:03Speaker 4: dad for a long time. But then again, there's a
- 43:06Speaker 4: lot of children that are brought into this world that
- 43:10Speaker 4: don't have their dad around for a long time either.
- 43:12Speaker 4: So like nothing is guaranteed, you know, I just hope
- 43:15Speaker 4: that the time that he is alive, he is a
- 43:17Speaker 4: good father and he gives the baby a lot of
- 43:19Speaker 4: love and that she continues to do it, because it's
- 43:23Speaker 4: you know, those years that counts, so hopefully he'll be
- 43:26Speaker 4: healthy enough. But you know, that could be his argument
- 43:29Speaker 4: as well, like, you know what, I'm bringing this baby
- 43:31Speaker 4: into life with a lot of love, and I want
- 43:33Speaker 4: this baby and I'm going to give it as much
- 43:35Speaker 4: love and nurture and support that I can, and so
- 43:37Speaker 4: the day I'm not here, But nothing is guaranteed. There's
- 43:40Speaker 4: a lot of young men that die as fathers and
- 43:42Speaker 4: or their fathers, you know, to their baby absolutely, or
- 43:45Speaker 4: that they get divorced and they never take care of
- 43:47Speaker 4: their babies.
- 43:48Speaker 2: They all have a bunch of brothers and sisters that
- 43:50Speaker 2: are going to be their family. They have young mothers
- 43:52Speaker 2: that will be their family. And they have a lot
- 43:54Speaker 2: of clips and a bit of money and clips and
- 43:57Speaker 2: movies to watch and see who they were when they
- 44:00Speaker 2: were young, middle age and older.
- 44:02Speaker 4: And I relish that's what she's probably doing what she
- 44:05Speaker 4: wanted chects with him. She's probably thinking of Scarface A Patino,
- 44:10Speaker 4: say hello to your little friend.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I love.
- 44:13Speaker 2: One of the greatest things and gifts that I have
- 44:15Speaker 2: is the footage I have with my mother on the show,
- 44:18Speaker 2: because I can see her alive again and it's great.
- 44:23Speaker 2: And so they're gonna have hopefully they're a lot of
- 44:26Speaker 2: brothers and sisters. They have grandchildren, so their babies are
- 44:30Speaker 2: gonna be uncles and aunts to the kids too.
- 44:34Speaker 3: They have big families.
- 44:35Speaker 4: I mean me as a baby, I would ask my mom, mom,
- 44:38Speaker 4: how did this happen? Like the babies can have a
- 44:40Speaker 4: lot of questions because well, you're baby, grow up to
- 44:44Speaker 4: be baby, young woman, and she's gonna say, mom, how
- 44:48Speaker 4: did you like fall in love with my dad that
- 44:50Speaker 4: was eighty three years old?
- 44:51Speaker 3: Oh my god, I don't right, I don't know.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I'm sure she has.
- 44:55Speaker 4: I'm sure she has, you know, really good reasons why
- 44:58Speaker 4: she fell in love with him. So whatever, I mean,
- 45:00Speaker 4: not even know they're in love or not.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I was gonna say, way, don't know if there's love there.
- 45:06Speaker 3: We just know there's baby.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Well, how did you have sex with my dad?
- 45:08Speaker 3: Mom?
- 45:10Speaker 2: And now they're going to be aunts and uncles to
- 45:14Speaker 2: their father's grandchildren that are actually older than them. That's confusing.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I don't know that you're getting a little bit so
- 45:21Speaker 1: they confusing.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I know our Virginia has grandchildren. I'm not sure if
- 45:25Speaker 2: al Pacino does.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, seven children, right, but he has seven.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Here's also a grandfather, so the new baby will be
- 45:34Speaker 2: an auntie, a younger auntie to his grandchildren.
- 45:39Speaker 3: That's confusing.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Yeah, well al Pacino has four and his oldest is
- 45:42Speaker 4: thirty three, which isn't that old because I mean I
- 45:45Speaker 4: have a thirty one year old son, so he had
- 45:47Speaker 4: children later on in life. You know, these men from
- 45:51Speaker 4: Hollywood and their actors, you know, I feel like they
- 45:53Speaker 4: all have these inflated egos, you know, and they think
- 45:55Speaker 4: that every woman in the world, any age, wants to
- 45:59Speaker 4: be with him. And guess what, they're right. That's how
- 46:02Speaker 4: we found this one.
- 46:03Speaker 2: They're keeping their virility alive. It's their legacy, their virility.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Look at me, I went out. I will never forget
- 46:09Speaker 2: Anthony Quinn. I remember when I was in my twenties,
- 46:11Speaker 2: I'm like, this eighty year old man is having another
- 46:14Speaker 2: child who doesn't And when you're in your twenties eighties
- 46:18Speaker 2: is like so old. My grandparents died in their eighties.
- 46:22Speaker 4: By the way, it's still old for me. Yeah, come on,
- 46:28Speaker 4: I mean I won't even like, no, I can only
- 46:30Speaker 4: speak from myself. At my age, I don't even see
- 46:33Speaker 4: that happening.
- 46:34Speaker 2: So it's like, I mean, it is like we're going
- 46:37Speaker 2: to go pick up and start dating in a nursing home,
- 46:39Speaker 2: because that's apparently what this is starting to look like.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Well, welcome to the world, Welcome to Hollywood.
- 46:45Speaker 4: Welcome to Miami, because we have the problem here in
- 46:49Speaker 4: Miami as well. I think where there's money and fame,
- 46:52Speaker 4: there's always you know, availability. Oh yeah one of my friends.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, as my friend.
- 47:00Speaker 2: This was great. I could talk with you for hours.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I'm sure we're going to hang up and talk like
- 47:05Speaker 2: we usually do.
- 47:06Speaker 4: Mm hmmm, yes, because we know we don't have enough
- 47:09Speaker 4: time to talk and we can just sit here and
- 47:11Speaker 4: talk all day long about age difference, about children, about family, about.
