- 0:06All right, I'm titling today's edition of One Leg Up with Alex Garrett as
- 0:11what you missed during the Super Bowl, because I still don't feel like it's
- 0:15talked about enough, the fact that we actually saw a bloody conflict as the
- 0:23idea. We're trying to rescue two Israeli hostages from Hamasca Pativity, one hundred
- 0:31wounded and uh, you know, it was just a bloody mess trying to
- 0:35get them out of there. But they got two hostages freed, and I
- 0:41think the idea deserves a lot of credit. And if the American media not
- 0:45talking about it enough, it's because maybe they don't want Israel to succeed.
- 0:49Maybe they don't want the hostages to be freed. I pray that's not the
- 0:52case. But why are we talking about these two freed hostages that the idea
- 0:58of went in and got. That is the kind of military reinforcement the IDF
- 1:04should be having, maybe not so much the air assault on innocent Palestinians,
- 1:11but the on the ground getting in there and getting those captives freed. I
- 1:18don't know if you saw this in the midst of an intense Super Bowl,
- 1:23which you know you, Lou and I lub Terminello and I have a whole
- 1:26post Super Bowl breakdown for you on the one leg Up on Sports feature in
- 1:32the link below. But yeah, that was story number one that caught my
- 1:38eye because it was a nighttime operation in Rafa and the IDF rescued two hostages.
- 1:56That is a huge deal. Congratulations is the idea, that's the military
- 2:01operation sping the military? Did you hear also? And I feel like even
- 2:07though it's a couple of days old, you might not have heard about it.
- 2:10But Lloyd Austin was hospitalized again. Remember he when awall in December and
- 2:17not reporting that he had prostate cancer and he was undergoing treatment. I mean,
- 2:23who does that? Firstly, but secondly, he's back in the hospital.
- 2:32In fact, he's canceling his overseas trip following hospitalization for a bladder issue
- 2:40at a time when we need military leadership. This is not good. And
- 2:49I think the House GOP not impeach Lloyd Austin, No, that would be
- 2:53too cruel, but bring him in for more questioning, ask him who was
- 2:58second in command is because right now in the Red Sea, right now in
- 3:06with the IDEF, dealing with Hamas, right now with Russia, and Ukraine.
- 3:09And don't even get me started on Trump's comments. I know once he's
- 3:16in office, he'll change his tune. If he gets elected again, we
- 3:20hope if a NATO nation doesn't pay, they shouldn't be attacked, but a
- 3:29NATO nation should pay to be in NATO. He will always come to the
- 3:36aid of a NATO nation. I believe that Trump is a guy who just
- 3:40says crap to drum up controversy. Meanwhile, we have a president who doesn't
- 3:47even know what side to stand behind a foreign leader. I digress. Lloyd
- 3:55Austin right now is in the hospital, canceling, is overseas trips with two
- 4:01major conflicts still going on. And who's running the military, who's running the
- 4:06Department of Defense, who's running the Pentagon? I feel like no one really
- 4:15knows. And that's scary to me that no one really knows. And if
- 4:24he cannot serve in a healthy way, someone should encourage him to step aside
- 4:31and let leadership fully take be put to a second in command, because if
- 4:44he's not able to carry out his duties, that is not acceptable. It's
- 4:56not And I'm looking at right now, who runs I it's his deputy Secretary
- 5:19of Defense running things right now with Kathleen Hicks. I believe running things right
- 5:42now while he is still in the n A hospital. This is not good.
- 5:49This is not good. And these two things are something you missed,
- 5:56by the way. Some other news today, speaking of news and military and
- 6:01law enforcement, the NYPD dig capture that seventh migrant involved, uh in that
- 6:20horrible attack on cops, seventh migrant busting and vicious on camera gang beating of
- 6:29NYPD cops. So they got a seventh migrant there who was involved with this
- 6:35attack of NYPD cops in Times Square, and so hopefully mister Bragg da Brag
- 6:47does something. Then let them out literally what what does law and order always
- 6:54say? Punish them to the full extent, fullest extent of the law.
- 7:00That should happen to these migrants that have been captured after their vicious, heinous
- 7:06attack, their criminals. Can we even call them migrants that want to be
- 7:11here for good reason if they're out there attacking the cops? I don't think
- 7:15so. And amidst the snow, there is someone on the loose in New
- 7:25York that was responsible for the shooting and Mount Eden subway yesterday in the Bronx,
- 7:33so be on the lookout for that NYPD trying their damnists to catch them.
- 7:40Welcome back with some more personal introspectives in a couple of days, but
- 7:44for now, I just thought i'd update one what you missed during that incredible
- 7:49Super Bowl because your I might have been on that football, but I think
- 7:54our should be always on the bigger ball of life, and that includes not
- 7:59having a healthy Department of secret Department of Defense that matters our neighbors. Could
- 8:09have loved ones overseas right now, and the people they're fighting for the Pentagon
- 8:16are basically not having a solid leader up there because the Defense secretary is in
- 8:22the hospital again. So while it might be overseas conflicts, hey we have
- 8:28men and women stationed overseas. They matter too, so they should. This
- 8:33hospitalization should be, especially after the attack on our troops in Jordan, should
- 8:41be at the top of our news cycle. But where Taylor Swippt and Travis
- 8:48Kelsey celebrated the Super Bowl, that's on everybody's mind. Get that f out
- 8:52of here. I'm Alex Garrett
