- 0:06Speaker 1: What's up.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I'm Jack from Void Division and we are about to
- 0:27Speaker 2: drop our fourth studio album, What I Leave Behind September twentieth,
- 0:31Speaker 2: and yeah, you can catch it up live on two
- 0:33Speaker 2: Parkway Drive on the cooming twenty year anniversary run very
- 0:37Speaker 2: shortly after.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Hell yeah, Jack, thanks for joining us today.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Brother, cheers man, thank you for having me.
- 0:42Speaker 3: No, what is it all?
- 0:43Speaker 5: Says you say?
- 0:44Speaker 3: Boy Division's new album, What I Leave Behind, is outum
- 0:47Speaker 3: September the twentieth. But before we get into that, mate,
- 0:50Speaker 3: I want to ride through a bit of a bit
- 0:51Speaker 3: of a timeline of events leading up to the album.
- 0:54Speaker 3: So we will start, I guest with the incident, like
- 0:58Speaker 3: the journey to this album. I had it on January
- 1:01Speaker 3: twenty third and twenty twenty two. Mate, when when you
- 1:03Speaker 3: wake up in the back of an ambulance, So we'll
- 1:06Speaker 3: start there. What happened there?
- 1:08Speaker 2: That's the one I had my first nocturnal seizure. And
- 1:12Speaker 2: it's basically kind of an unavoidable moment where you just
- 1:16Speaker 2: like asleep in the dead to night and your brain
- 1:19Speaker 2: will just basically due to my ABM, it's kind of
- 1:22Speaker 2: constricting just blood flow and leads to it just a
- 1:26Speaker 2: I can't remember the actual name of the type of seizure,
- 1:28Speaker 2: but yeah, it just leads to me waking up in
- 1:31Speaker 2: the back of an ambulance pretty much. And yeah, I
- 1:33Speaker 2: was very lucky to have my partner at the time
- 1:35Speaker 2: there and she was calling the ambulance and before we
- 1:38Speaker 2: knew it. But it was very weird because the first
- 1:40Speaker 2: time in my life that was kind of like a
- 1:42Speaker 2: moment that I just have zero recollection of, like you
- 1:44Speaker 2: have you can have, like your moments where you're out
- 1:47Speaker 2: on a night out and you get drunk, but this
- 1:49Speaker 2: was just completely different, Like it's complete blackout, like just
- 1:53Speaker 2: have no fucking clue what happened or how it happened.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Just went to sleep and woke up in an ambulance
- 1:57Speaker 2: and that was a really wild experience. Yeah, it's kind
- 2:01Speaker 2: of the first instance of what happened. And went to
- 2:04Speaker 2: doctors and they basically just I don't know, started beginning
- 2:09Speaker 2: the plan to get rid of this AVM in the
- 2:11Speaker 2: back of my brain and begin the process for radiotherapy.
- 2:14Speaker 2: So that was the first instance of how it all
- 2:16Speaker 2: sort of worked.
- 2:17Speaker 3: And part of that plan, mate was when you were discharged,
- 2:20Speaker 3: you were told to avoid activities that raise your blood pressure.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Now you didn't really listen, did you.
- 2:27Speaker 4: I like to think that I did.
- 2:30Speaker 2: My best no matter what happened. Like I would always
- 2:36Speaker 2: speak with like the health professionals, and they fully were aware.
- 2:39Speaker 2: They thought it was fucking awesome, like they loved what
- 2:42Speaker 2: I was doing. And I think the most important thing
- 2:44Speaker 2: for them too, was they didn't want this to put
- 2:47Speaker 2: a stint on the career that I was trying to
- 2:48Speaker 2: build or anything.
- 2:49Speaker 4: But yeah, they did just give warning. They knew what it.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Involved, and funnily enough, I think the performing side of things,
- 2:58Speaker 2: it's definitely like a blood pressure raiser. But I think
- 3:01Speaker 2: what I had to be really careful of was the
- 3:02Speaker 2: sleep patterns and just sort of onto a life like
- 3:06Speaker 2: you are burnt out, you're tired, you're stressed, and I
- 3:09Speaker 2: think that's the biggest cause of just like having a
- 3:12Speaker 2: separate incident. And yeah, one day that actually like hit me.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think it was straight after, not first, probably a
- 3:20Speaker 2: week after. I just woke up in the middle of
- 3:22Speaker 2: the night was just like a roaring, fucking headache, just
- 3:24Speaker 2: absolutely like it was like I was seeing fire in
- 3:27Speaker 2: the back of my eyes and check myself in the
- 3:29Speaker 2: hospital again. It turns out, I was like amidst of
- 3:32Speaker 2: brain bleed, and yeah, they just begun a sort of
- 3:36Speaker 2: like a patch up operation to kick it all off.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But for that moment in my life, that was the
- 3:41Speaker 2: first moment where I was like, fuck, like I've really
- 3:44Speaker 2: just pushed it to the edge of taking it like
- 3:46Speaker 2: way too far and at what cost. And I think
- 3:50Speaker 2: that was kind of the beginning of the where this
- 3:54Speaker 2: album took its direction of just existentialism and thinking about
- 3:58Speaker 2: things in the grandest sense that never thought about in
- 4:01Speaker 2: my life and how I want to navigate the rest
- 4:03Speaker 2: of my life, et cetera. And yeah, I just began
- 4:06Speaker 2: asking myself all the hard questions and just what I
- 4:10Speaker 2: needed to do, what I wanted to do in life.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And I just feel like for so long I was taken.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Life for granted.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And I think that moment where it almost led the
- 4:18Speaker 2: way it was probably the most important that I've ever
- 4:21Speaker 2: had because it just made me change how I see everything,
- 4:24Speaker 2: just fixed priorities, change perspective, and yeah, it was just
- 4:28Speaker 2: a very crazy experience that I know, it's it's very
- 4:32Speaker 2: weird to look back on and say I was grateful for,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but damn, I really definitely wouldn't have been able to
- 4:37Speaker 2: do a lot of the things I've been doing in
- 4:38Speaker 2: the past year without that happening.
- 4:39Speaker 4: So double edged sport there.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It is well to put it in perspective so people
- 4:45Speaker 3: know how dedicated you are to your art. I guess,
- 4:47Speaker 3: like when you were told to avoid those activities, that
- 4:51Speaker 3: strenuous activities, like you then went on tour to North America,
- 4:54Speaker 3: you went on tour to Europe. He came home and
- 4:56Speaker 3: finished Chronicles three Underworld just before where you had your
- 5:00Speaker 3: second episode which led your hospital. But as part of that, Bro,
- 5:03Speaker 3: like around that same time, you created what you call
- 5:06Speaker 3: the Second Jack, which had been dubbed the Angel of Darkness,
- 5:09Speaker 3: which help you deal with those lifestyle changers. Now that
- 5:11Speaker 3: fascinates me, Bro tell us more about that.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Well, I guess now it's all out in the open. Yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 2: that whole character and that whole video and just everything
- 5:20Speaker 2: around that release campaign was kind of like a gimmick
- 5:23Speaker 2: and a mission to limit my activities.
- 5:26Speaker 4: So what we would do was we'd.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Kind of I just wouldn't be out like I was
- 5:32Speaker 2: just taking it so easy at home.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I was doing fucking nothing. I just put it all
- 5:36Speaker 4: to the boys.
- 5:36Speaker 2: They were taking care of everything on the business side
- 5:39Speaker 2: and organizing everything, and I'm still so grateful.
- 5:41Speaker 4: That they were able to do that. But I guess I.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Kind of was disappeared for a hot minute, and we
- 5:46Speaker 2: framed it that I was just possessed by an angel
- 5:49Speaker 2: of darkness and taken off into another world and another realm,
- 5:52Speaker 2: and I was just free to do absolutely fuck all.
- 5:55Speaker 2: And it was honestly amazing. I mean, we went on
- 5:58Speaker 2: tour and I don't know, we'd get up in similar
- 6:01Speaker 2: like get ups every night, but all the talking that
- 6:04Speaker 2: I would do in between songs was just on a
- 6:07Speaker 2: backing track and a sort of a angel voice just
- 6:10Speaker 2: speaking out. It was good because like I would just
- 6:14Speaker 2: really limit my activities.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I wouldn't have to go to merch.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I relaxed straight after the set, and I don't know,
- 6:20Speaker 2: they were just it was just a kind of way
- 6:22Speaker 2: to make taking things easy look cool.
- 6:25Speaker 4: So I wanted to make it not.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Look like we were taking a step back for the
- 6:29Speaker 2: sake of it, which people, I know they would understand,
- 6:31Speaker 2: but I think being an artist, you want to kind
- 6:33Speaker 2: of make everything look as poetic and just like cool
- 6:36Speaker 2: as possible. So that was what we shot for and
- 6:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm stoked. It's like one of my
- 6:41Speaker 2: very very bowie moment to have funny experience. But it's
- 6:48Speaker 2: something that I'll put on my resume. I reckon just
- 6:51Speaker 2: handling an avoiding, scheduling concord.
- 6:56Speaker 3: That all is now looking back at a broad and
- 6:58Speaker 3: it is a good laugh. But how did that help you?
- 7:01Speaker 3: Because it would have been a lot for you mentally
- 7:03Speaker 3: stepping away on that. Like You've always been a hands
- 7:05Speaker 3: on sort of a dude, like you love your fans,
- 7:07Speaker 3: you love interacting with him, So how did creating that
- 7:09Speaker 3: persona I guess help you deal with the whole situation.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It was tricky, man Like. As much as the break
- 7:16Speaker 2: with for my health was handy, it did feel fucking
- 7:18Speaker 2: weird like stepping back because like you said, I've always
- 7:21Speaker 2: been always, like really tried to be as hands on
- 7:24Speaker 2: with our fan base as possible. And one of the
- 7:27Speaker 2: easiest ways to do that is for me to go
- 7:29Speaker 2: to merch and have conversations with new fans and old
- 7:31Speaker 2: fans alike. And that's just a really important thing with
- 7:34Speaker 2: Built Boy division on. So it was weird to strip
- 7:36Speaker 2: that back for a couple of months.
- 7:37Speaker 4: And I don't know.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It definitely took a bit of an impact in terms
- 7:41Speaker 2: of I don't know, not being able to celebrate with
- 7:44Speaker 2: them for like our biggest Australian to it we've ever done,
- 7:48Speaker 2: and we were finally selling out rooms and it was
- 7:50Speaker 2: a fucking crazy experience and I just wasn't I kind
- 7:53Speaker 2: of wasn't there. And it sucks because it's almost like
- 7:57Speaker 2: a moment you didn't get to stop and smell the
- 7:59Speaker 2: roses and you look back and regret that, and I
- 8:01Speaker 2: think it just led to a bunch of imposter syndrome
- 8:04Speaker 2: and I don't know. I was definitely dealing with a
- 8:06Speaker 2: lot of that on that tour, and I used a
- 8:09Speaker 2: lot of that in the record, like I use a
- 8:11Speaker 2: lot of that straight jumping straight off those stages, we
- 8:14Speaker 2: jumped straight into the studio. So a lot of that
- 8:17Speaker 2: was there, and a lot of doubt was clouding me
- 8:19Speaker 2: while I was in the studio, but I was lucky that, Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: I was with my friends there, and I was with
- 8:24Speaker 2: like our producer who I call a good friend, Sam
- 8:27Speaker 2: from Otion Grove, and we were able to talk it
- 8:30Speaker 2: out and actually have these conversations and it birthed some
- 8:33Speaker 2: great fucking music man, Like we were just really for
- 8:36Speaker 2: the first time, just putting it all out, and it
- 8:38Speaker 2: was like little mini therapy sessions every night.
- 8:40Speaker 4: It was fucking crazy.
- 8:41Speaker 2: It was just the most healthy way we were put
- 8:44Speaker 2: a record out, and just to have lyrics off the
- 8:46Speaker 2: top of the bat like that coming out. It's just
- 8:47Speaker 2: something I've never really had before, Like I've always been
- 8:50Speaker 2: penning months in advance, but being able to step into
- 8:53Speaker 2: the studio with off the back of all these health issues,
- 8:56Speaker 2: off all these fucking weird moments that have happened in
- 8:59Speaker 2: my life that I've never had to experience before, and
- 9:02Speaker 2: all these difficult conversations I've never had to make before.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It's just encouraged just a crazy piece of art that
- 9:09Speaker 2: I never would have seen possible if any of this
- 9:11Speaker 2: hadn't happened.
- 9:11Speaker 4: So that's the craziest.
- 9:13Speaker 3: That is a good thing to come out of broad
- 9:14Speaker 3: And it it sounds like the actual writing of the
- 9:16Speaker 3: album would it come pretty easy because you're in the
- 9:19Speaker 3: moment of it, so really, but how about actually recording it,
- 9:22Speaker 3: like reliving those experiences and having to manifest them through
- 9:25Speaker 3: music was that difficult?
- 9:27Speaker 2: It was difficult, especially like as I was saying, there.
- 9:30Speaker 2: There's a check on there called Gammonnife that as I
- 9:33Speaker 2: was saying to you, I had that moment where I
- 9:35Speaker 2: was woke up in the ambulance and for the first
- 9:37Speaker 2: time in my life, I've got this little portion of
- 9:39Speaker 2: time where I have no idea what the fuck happened,
- 9:41Speaker 2: and it seems like for months everyone else was just
- 9:45Speaker 2: telling me what happened, and I just had no account
- 9:48Speaker 2: for myself, no matter how hard I could try or think.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And yeah, that's kind of what that song is. It's
- 9:54Speaker 2: me trying to kind of create that moment in time
- 9:57Speaker 2: and like sing it back as to what was act
- 10:00Speaker 2: actually going on in that moment, because I want to
- 10:02Speaker 2: leave that behind for myself so I'm not living in
- 10:04Speaker 2: that weird world where I just was completely out of control.
- 10:08Speaker 2: It's like me bringing a sense of control back into
- 10:11Speaker 2: my life and wanting to recollect that moment just for
- 10:14Speaker 2: my future self, because it's a very significant moment in
- 10:18Speaker 2: I guess my timeline to where everything changed, and I
- 10:21Speaker 2: wanted something to remember that buy. So I think creating
- 10:25Speaker 2: those moments and encouraging those moments to happen in the
- 10:28Speaker 2: studio was really important. Just having those difficult conversations, like
- 10:32Speaker 2: I said, about existentialism and just where we want to
- 10:35Speaker 2: be in life and how we want to see the
- 10:38Speaker 2: rest of our lives carried out from here on out.
- 10:40Speaker 2: And I think that's an aptly titled record, What I'll
- 10:43Speaker 2: Leave Behind.
- 10:43Speaker 4: It's really trying to put our mark on this world.
- 10:47Speaker 2: And I think, like you go through many walks of life,
- 10:50Speaker 2: just it's very easy to not leave a mark, and
- 10:53Speaker 2: so I think, if anything, I'd love this record to
- 10:55Speaker 2: encourage people to do so, like whether it be through
- 10:58Speaker 2: art or just action or whatever. The fun like, it's
- 11:00Speaker 2: just an important thing to do because yeah, when we're gone,
- 11:04Speaker 2: like I feel like it's important to leave it with
- 11:05Speaker 2: your soul behind for those to remember you. And I
- 11:08Speaker 2: think I'm in a very lucky position as an artist
- 11:10Speaker 2: where I get the privileged to do that and the
- 11:13Speaker 2: opportunities to do that all across the globe. And it's
- 11:15Speaker 2: fucked I've been taking it for granted and I'm just
- 11:18Speaker 2: very stoked to be able to still do it, and yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 2: just put it out there for everyone to experience.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Champion. I don't know if you've been told lately, I'm
- 11:25Speaker 3: not brave, but you're a fucking champion mate.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 11:30Speaker 3: How about live? Have you played any of them live yet?
- 11:32Speaker 4: We haven't.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Our first run is this weekend, done the fifteenth before
- 11:37Speaker 2: the Parkway run kicked off, and I wanted to dust
- 11:39Speaker 2: off the cobwebs and just do an intimate, little Melbourne show.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So booked a venue that sounded like it had my
- 11:45Speaker 2: name in it, So playing the Burgie Band Rooms, a
- 11:50Speaker 2: little small venue that we Yeah, we just thought, let's
- 11:53Speaker 2: just book a small room, play a bunch of the
- 11:54Speaker 2: new album tracks and just I don't know, give it
- 11:57Speaker 2: a bit of a test drive.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And I don't know. We're very lucky.
- 11:59Speaker 2: We've got a dedicated fan base down there, so they're
- 12:01Speaker 2: all just going to come out and celebrate it with us.
- 12:03Speaker 2: But fuck, it's just been it's just been fun. Like
- 12:06Speaker 2: I'm very very excited to play these for the first
- 12:09Speaker 2: time because I, like you said, there's a lot that
- 12:11Speaker 2: goes into the making behind these songs, and I think
- 12:14Speaker 2: performing them live is revisiting those conversations and experiences. And
- 12:17Speaker 2: I've definitely had it in the past with music we've
- 12:20Speaker 2: written live, but I think it just takes on a
- 12:22Speaker 2: whole different meaning now, Like it's going to be very
- 12:24Speaker 2: interesting doing this for the first time, because yeah, it's
- 12:27Speaker 2: just very meaningful, fucking hard hitting ship for me still
- 12:31Speaker 2: to this date, and I'm excited to just put that
- 12:33Speaker 2: out live because I think it just adds something on
- 12:36Speaker 2: top of your live show when you're just that fucking
- 12:38Speaker 2: passionate about what you're doing. And yeah, it's a it's
- 12:42Speaker 2: a very very cool feeling to know that we can
- 12:44Speaker 2: do that in a two hundred cap room and then
- 12:46Speaker 2: bring it to an arena because it's just the same
- 12:48Speaker 2: level of care and fashion.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Shh. Yeah, mate. Now, every song on the album is
- 12:52Speaker 3: obviously personal and deep for you, but you've started the
- 12:55Speaker 3: album with the track Oblivion, Now why start with that one?
- 12:58Speaker 2: Particularly Blivian is kind of like the we kicked off
- 13:03Speaker 2: with the moment where I thought, fuck, this is all done.
- 13:05Speaker 2: So basically that was the moment. It is a bit
- 13:09Speaker 2: like the timeline on the record is definitely a bit
- 13:12Speaker 2: mixed and match, but Oblivion was just where I wanted
- 13:14Speaker 2: to kick it all off, because the first thought I
- 13:16Speaker 2: had was Okay, everything ends here. What the fuck do
- 13:20Speaker 2: I do now. It's just a bit of a process
- 13:22Speaker 2: of me realizing, Okay, I've got to ask these questions.
- 13:25Speaker 4: I've got to talk to my fucking friends.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I've got to realize that I'm not taking this for
- 13:29Speaker 2: granted anymore, and yeah, I just want to let you
- 13:32Speaker 2: know because I don't want to let you down. And
- 13:34Speaker 2: that's the thing, Like I could quite easily have just
- 13:37Speaker 2: come out of that situation just not being able to
- 13:40Speaker 2: do music anymore, and I don't know what that would
- 13:42Speaker 2: have left me with. So I just wanted to really
- 13:44Speaker 2: just ask that first question of fuck okay, like if
- 13:48Speaker 2: everything was to end today, what will we do with
- 13:50Speaker 2: it and the rest of the album to follow us?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Pretty much like that's where it all births, I think,
- 13:55Speaker 2: and we just wanted to kick it off with a
- 13:57Speaker 2: punch in the face and just asking the hardest question first.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Now, the press release alludes to this being a new
- 14:04Speaker 3: era for Boy Division, which it is for the obvious
- 14:06Speaker 3: reasons we've just spoken about. But I've been fortunate enough
- 14:08Speaker 3: to have listening to album mats. She's a fucking practice
- 14:10Speaker 3: by the way, really fucked awesome album. But musically you've
- 14:14Speaker 3: you've gone over and above as well, mate, like runnus
- 14:17Speaker 3: through the musical changes.
- 14:18Speaker 2: On this album, I think it's really a big kind
- 14:21Speaker 2: of amalgamation of those EPs where we were experimenting a
- 14:25Speaker 2: lot a couple of years ago, we went through, like
- 14:29Speaker 2: I don't know, the heaviest music we could write to,
- 14:30Speaker 2: the most electronic music we could write, and just took
- 14:33Speaker 2: a journey through there. And I feel like it was
- 14:36Speaker 2: very weird at that time to put out a record,
- 14:38Speaker 2: because it would have felt really jarring while we're experimenting
- 14:41Speaker 2: with it. But the second we were ready and we
- 14:43Speaker 2: knew we were ready, we just were able to put
- 14:47Speaker 2: this music, all these different influences together for the first
- 14:49Speaker 2: time and kind of make that quintessential Void Division record,
- 14:52Speaker 2: Like it's just everything that we've ever done and ever
- 14:56Speaker 2: could be. And I'd like to think there's something on
- 14:58Speaker 2: there for every iteration of Void Vision Spare and no
- 15:00Speaker 2: matter if you were there from the get go or
- 15:02Speaker 2: the end, like it's just it's something on there for everyone.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And we're very like stoked that we were able to
- 15:07Speaker 2: do that. It's got some twists and turns, it's got
- 15:10Speaker 2: some traditional volb on there, it's got some even some
- 15:13Speaker 2: stuff that people have never probably heard before from us,
- 15:15Speaker 2: since I don't know, it was very important for us
- 15:18Speaker 2: to like keep those influences running and yeah, I'm just
- 15:21Speaker 2: stoked we were able to put it all together and
- 15:23Speaker 2: create something for everyone with this.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I like you say, bro, like you've you pretty much
- 15:27Speaker 3: managed to cover every stage and void a vision over
- 15:29Speaker 3: the record. But and there's been so many bro like
- 15:32Speaker 3: you say, you've gone from the hard stuff to the electronic,
- 15:34Speaker 3: so there's so much transition there. But when you listen
- 15:37Speaker 3: to what I leave behind as a whole, it still
- 15:40Speaker 3: blends well together, Like it's sort of it's not one
- 15:42Speaker 3: of everyones where you go, oh yeah, like that that
- 15:45Speaker 3: that era and that sucks, but it all comes. How
- 15:48Speaker 3: hard was it to get it all to blend together
- 15:51Speaker 3: on one record?
- 15:52Speaker 4: Well, it took. That's the thing.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Like I remember when we started making those EPs, We're like, fuck,
- 15:56Speaker 2: we're not ready to do a record of this yet.
- 15:59Speaker 4: We were very you're hyper aware of what.
- 16:01Speaker 2: You're just saying, Like it's hard to it's hard to
- 16:03Speaker 2: not make it feel forced and shoehorned. And I think
- 16:07Speaker 2: one day we knew one day it would click, and
- 16:09Speaker 2: we were just waiting for the perfect time to do it.
- 16:12Speaker 2: And yeah, I think that's another beauty, Like I know
- 16:15Speaker 2: we've been doing this for fucking years now, like forever
- 16:17Speaker 2: a decade. But it's just really important that we waited
- 16:21Speaker 2: for the perfect time to do this record, because I
- 16:24Speaker 2: think it's never too late to fucking hit anything like this,
- 16:26Speaker 2: And I think that's a big thing for many artists
- 16:29Speaker 2: to realize, Like you just are grinding sometimes for a
- 16:33Speaker 2: very long time, and as long as you're loving what
- 16:35Speaker 2: you're doing and you're having fun doing it, then that's
- 16:37Speaker 2: the most important part because it'll come. You just got
- 16:40Speaker 2: to keep fucking working, like that's the thing. And I
- 16:42Speaker 2: think that's what we have been doing, really, Like we've
- 16:44Speaker 2: just been going and going and going, and we finally
- 16:47Speaker 2: clicked on it, and I'm just so happy that we didn't.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Like I think that's a thing too, Like I would
- 16:52Speaker 2: be where at the moment, we are just at the
- 16:56Speaker 2: most exciting point of our career, about to drop like
- 16:58Speaker 2: this album, about to go on the park Quit tour.
- 17:01Speaker 2: We'll be doing our own tours for this, We're going
- 17:03Speaker 2: overseas and doing our own tours for the first time
- 17:05Speaker 2: and headlining in the States, and it's just a fucking
- 17:07Speaker 2: bizarre feeling to like actually be at this stage. And
- 17:11Speaker 2: I don't know i'd be more than happy to just
- 17:14Speaker 2: like think that this is just everything that we've aspired
- 17:17Speaker 2: to do. And I'm just every iteration of this band,
- 17:20Speaker 2: no matter where it is, like it's always been like
- 17:22Speaker 2: a gradual growth, But now I really feel like it's
- 17:25Speaker 2: just a moment that we can stop and appreciate because
- 17:28Speaker 2: it's finally we've finally done what we wanted to and
- 17:31Speaker 2: we finally have like a legacy that we can leave behind.
- 17:34Speaker 3: A break couldn't hapen to a better break and couldn't
- 17:36Speaker 3: happen to a better band mate. Congratulations, But you've got
- 17:39Speaker 3: so much happening right. We've got to ride this up now.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You have got your show in Melbourne on the fifteenth.
- 17:43Speaker 3: You start your tour with Parkway on the eighteenth in Brisbane.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Album What I Leave Behind comes out September twenty. It's
- 17:49Speaker 3: the year a board of division, breaking gratulations and open
- 17:51Speaker 3: it all goes well.
