- 1:21Speaker 3: they all went on a whist So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 1:24Speaker 3: but what did you expect. It's a podcast call twenty five.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Whistline Welcome Eddie Blood, So not much to say. I
- 1:35Speaker 1: lost thousand bucks. I bet on Auburn. I thought they
- 1:37Speaker 1: were gonna win it pretty much the whole game until
- 1:39Speaker 1: the very end Florida wins it. That's not even what
- 1:40Speaker 1: it was. Ended up being the game that the Duke
- 1:43Speaker 1: Houston game. They Arkansas like choked. It's crazy. It's crazy.
- 1:48Speaker 1: They scored one bucket in the past ten minutes and
- 1:49Speaker 1: the last ten minutes of the game is why I
- 1:51Speaker 1: could not believe what I was watching. I could because
- 1:54Speaker 1: usually happens to my team. Yep, So that I felt
- 1:58Speaker 1: so me and all the Duke people felt exactly the same,
- 2:01Speaker 1: like they understood where I was coming from my whole life.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I've never seen anything like that at the end of
- 2:07Speaker 1: that game. And again it's been talked about one hundred times,
- 2:10Speaker 1: but I'm gonna tell you whenever he tried to take
- 2:13Speaker 1: the ball from him, throwing it out of balance and
- 2:14Speaker 1: they got the tech hold on him, I then thought
- 2:17Speaker 1: it was over again. There were like four times where
- 2:19Speaker 1: I thought, Okay, they've stopped the bleeding just in time.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Now Duke will win the game.
- 2:25Speaker 4: That was a brain fart, right, like he just thought.
- 2:28Speaker 4: He just wasn't thinking like you can. Everyone knows you
- 2:31Speaker 4: can't do that.
- 2:31Speaker 5: He just wasn't.
- 2:32Speaker 6: Have you ever seen that?
- 2:33Speaker 1: No, No, I have seen no, And I'd be curious
- 2:38Speaker 1: about someone in case, if you don't mind googling this,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I have seen that there's a rule in some league
- 2:45Speaker 1: that if you hold the ball out over the line
- 2:48Speaker 1: you can grab it, then you can grab it. Now
- 2:50Speaker 1: that could even that could be like junior high. And
- 2:53Speaker 1: so that wasn't the case here.
- 2:55Speaker 5: No, he thought he was playing defense.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It was hilarious, but I was rooting for Muston big time,
- 3:00Speaker 1: even though I said I did not think. I said
- 3:02Speaker 1: I didn't think Houston or Duke would win one Dukee
- 3:04Speaker 1: because everybody thought Duke would win. So I was out
- 3:05Speaker 1: Houston because their name is Houston and Houston just doesn't win.
- 3:08Speaker 1: So I'm still standard by all that, But that that
- 3:12Speaker 1: play is when I thought, Okay, Duke just got Duke
- 3:14Speaker 1: Duke lucky, and now they're gonna win. So is that
- 3:17Speaker 1: a rule anywhere?
- 3:18Speaker 7: Casey, I'm not saying. I'm just seeing the five seconds
- 3:20Speaker 7: holding it. You know you can't.
- 3:21Speaker 5: If you do, fine, I'm going to keep looking.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Let me know the miss free throw. I do think
- 3:27Speaker 1: that foul called h on the flag. Yeah, probably wasn't
- 3:31Speaker 1: a foul, but again, dude, you gotta score more than
- 3:34Speaker 1: one bucket in the last ten minutes. Exactly crazy, like
- 3:37Speaker 1: Houston freaking awesome. Those guys, they they went one on
- 3:42Speaker 1: one with Flag at the end of the game and
- 3:44Speaker 1: at the had a shot. He had a shot, but
- 3:46Speaker 1: shut him down. Yeah, so it was pretty cool. I
- 3:48Speaker 1: saw them walking in the hallway with Kevin Sampson after
- 3:50Speaker 1: the game and one of the guys was like his
- 3:52Speaker 1: own guys was like, that's apparently like the biggest comeback
- 3:55Speaker 1: in the history of the Final Four. Like the craziest
- 3:58Speaker 1: comeback and he's like yeah. He goes, wow, how down
- 4:00Speaker 1: were we? And I think the guy said fifteen and
- 4:02Speaker 1: he goes, oh, good thing it was in seventeen because
- 4:05Speaker 1: we were coming back from that.
- 4:06Speaker 8: Oh really.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I love that he didn't know, like, how far were
- 4:10Speaker 5: we down? Fourteen?
- 4:11Speaker 1: I think it's those Houston guys were grinders, man. I
- 4:15Speaker 1: saw a story about them. They all ran the mile
- 4:18Speaker 1: at the beginning of the year, every person on the team.
- 4:21Speaker 1: If you're on the team, you dress you have to
- 4:23Speaker 1: run a mile, and that their average time in running
- 4:26Speaker 1: the mile was like five eighteen or something, right, five
- 4:29Speaker 1: minutes eighteen seconds, and the slowest was like five point fifty,
- 4:32Speaker 1: the fastest was whatever. But they took such pride and
- 4:34Speaker 1: the picture was them with all their shirts off with
- 4:37Speaker 1: like chains around them, like shure. They took such pride
- 4:40Speaker 1: in having that cardio and being strong, and holy crap
- 4:45Speaker 1: has not paid off, Like they are monsters defensively. It's
- 4:48Speaker 1: crazy to see that game was that's wild. I think
- 4:51Speaker 1: they heard you, man, that's wild, not good good. I
- 4:54Speaker 1: do want Florida to be Houston now. So just because
- 4:58Speaker 1: I'm a sec guy, and I said Houston can't win
- 4:59Speaker 1: it championship only because their name is Houston, which is
- 5:02Speaker 1: a stupid thing to say. But I am who I am.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I am who I am. But that was a crazy
- 5:06Speaker 1: a game.
- 5:07Speaker 6: I couldn't believe it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it either.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Yeah, every time.
- 5:10Speaker 9: Even my wife was like what the heck? And I
- 5:11Speaker 9: was like, if she's into it, then I know it's
- 5:13Speaker 9: a crazy game, right.
- 5:14Speaker 1: The I mean, there's like eight plays I could go
- 5:17Speaker 1: like when this happened, so we'll just move off of it.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But yeah, I lost a bunch of money, but I
- 5:23Speaker 1: put the money a long time ago, so already felt lost.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Yeah, that's funny how that happened.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Like I bet at the beginning of the tournament, someone's
- 5:28Speaker 1: already gone, so.
- 5:29Speaker 6: You never really saw. It wasn't really there.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Who knows I was there? Oh okay, it was there. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: lost a lot of money this tournament. Sorry, dude, you
- 5:37Speaker 1: shouldn't feel sorry for losses like this. I would rather
- 5:40Speaker 1: lose money like this than lose the game like we
- 5:43Speaker 1: lost to Texas Tech.
- 5:44Speaker 9: I think a lot of people probably lost money though,
- 5:46Speaker 9: because a lot of favorites won, and you're not gonna
- 5:48Speaker 9: win money unless you really about the underdogs than they win.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Remember I can ended up being kind of sucky,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and I was either seven for eight or eight of
- 5:54Speaker 1: eight at el EAD eight teams like I was on
- 5:57Speaker 1: and then once my like Tech Law because that Tech
- 6:00Speaker 1: going to the final four once Auburn didn't like all
- 6:05Speaker 1: my eggs were in the basket of those teams that
- 6:07Speaker 1: got to the late eight but didn't get to the
- 6:08Speaker 1: final four. Basically, what'd you find case anything?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Not yet?
- 6:12Speaker 1: Okay, it could have just been some stupid like local
- 6:14Speaker 1: rec league.
- 6:14Speaker 5: It just keeps giving me the five second rule.
- 6:16Speaker 1: But I do wonder what he was doing.
- 6:18Speaker 9: Yeah, he wonders until this day, he wasn't thinking man, right,
- 6:22Speaker 9: Him and.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Kelvin Sampson were both like, what the heck did I just.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I mean, make a free throw? Yeah, make a free throw?
- 6:28Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly, get a bucket inbounds the ball. I was
- 6:32Speaker 9: probably shire let that kid was a James or James
- 6:35Speaker 9: inbound the ball for the second time, Yeah, because he
- 6:38Speaker 9: looks scared the first he.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Looked like he was clueless as to how fast his
- 6:42Speaker 1: heart was beating and what his eyes were saying.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Yeah, and you'll fault on his own but it's just like,
- 6:46Speaker 6: come on, man.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So there's one. I got a few things I wanted
- 6:50Speaker 1: to talk about. Number two is going to be let's
- 6:53Speaker 1: get an update on pickle ball, and we had you
- 6:55Speaker 1: guys reach out to this guy again that wanted to
- 6:57Speaker 1: play for a thousand bucks. Let's go to Kevin first,
- 7:00Speaker 1: Kevin Elock Crickets and got nothing nothing. Wow.
- 7:05Speaker 10: I even hit him twice.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Yeah, what a freaking He was talking a lot of
- 7:08Speaker 7: smack too. Man, you think he's scared.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna have to message him now and
- 7:12Speaker 1: be like, yeah, I didn't want to do that. I
- 7:14Speaker 1: wanted to be set up, not by me. No, you
- 7:16Speaker 1: have an attorney that's neither. And let's go play the game.
- 7:19Speaker 1: But do you think he sees you guys?
- 7:22Speaker 11: Is?
- 7:23Speaker 9: I would guess no because he doesn't look very active
- 7:26Speaker 9: as it is social media active.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Do we think he's running?
- 7:30Speaker 10: I think so.
- 7:31Speaker 5: I think so. Do we think he's dead?
- 7:34Speaker 6: Yeah, as he tweeted it all No, since I checked
- 7:37Speaker 6: him for the weekend.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Though, saying man, what if he's hurt.
- 7:40Speaker 10: I was trying to find his like actual information so
- 7:42Speaker 10: I could like contact his job.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I wouldn't hate that. No, that'd be hilarious. His bots.
- 7:51Speaker 1: We're just looking to get in touch with him.
- 7:53Speaker 10: I mean, if if he if he says no, cool,
- 7:55Speaker 10: we know. But he's not just leaving us hanging, you know.
- 7:58Speaker 1: We're just looking at it like an attorney. Got thousand bucks,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you want to talk garbage, I'm gonna fly to Cleveland
- 8:03Speaker 1: play pick a ball. Get you for a thousand bucks?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Could you talk crap? Let's go, I might lose. You're
- 8:07Speaker 1: a four year D one athlete. I mean, if draft
- 8:10Speaker 1: games are putting the odds on it, you're probably at minus
- 8:13Speaker 1: one sixty or so over. Lolo me, I can't even practice.
- 8:16Speaker 1: He's been raining every day. I can't even This is bizarre.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Lollo Me.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, why be scared of Lollo Me? If he is dead, though,
- 8:26Speaker 1: that sucks. That's really sorry about eight condolences to everybody
- 8:29Speaker 1: out there and his family and stuff. Okay, I'm not
- 8:33Speaker 1: a hockey guy, but ov.
- 8:37Speaker 7: Yeah, shut out.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah more goals now than Gretzki. Not more points, but
- 8:43Speaker 1: more goals, right, but yeah, nude, Yeah, it's so cool.
- 8:47Speaker 5: Who's this guy who's he played for.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Alex Ovechkin.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Capital.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I was gonna ask Washington and he's played with him
- 8:55Speaker 1: the whole time, right, he's never changed teams. So, and
- 8:59Speaker 1: then I watched some of who just hawked a Lougi
- 9:02Speaker 1: in their microphone. Did anybody do that?
- 9:04Speaker 10: No?
- 9:04Speaker 4: I went like, we gotta. I was thinking about Gretzky
- 9:12Speaker 4: being the great one. I'm like, well, now this guy
- 9:14Speaker 4: needs a name.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So I think he has a name. Ohm not sure. Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 1: well it's a nickname because his name is Alex Ovechkin.
- 9:21Speaker 1: But Gretzky was there to shake his hand and do
- 9:23Speaker 1: his thing. But you Gretzky has more points just through
- 9:29Speaker 1: a cysts where Avekin doesn't. Is a passer, but just
- 9:33Speaker 1: had the goals record.
- 9:34Speaker 7: As well, and all the Stanley Cups too, you know.
- 9:36Speaker 1: But that was a record they thought would never be broken,
- 9:39Speaker 1: was Gretzky's goals records points record. They still don't think
- 9:42Speaker 1: we'll be broken, but I did pull up. These are
- 9:47Speaker 1: sports records they don't think anybody is ever gonna break.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But they thought that this record would never be broken.
- 9:55Speaker 1: What comes to mind, Luke, I.
- 9:57Speaker 7: Got one you could say, with the s or the hits?
- 10:00Speaker 1: What what lo here is it?
- 10:02Speaker 5: Hits?
- 10:02Speaker 6: No moot game is played?
- 10:06Speaker 5: Got broke?
- 10:07Speaker 1: No, that did get broke. That's the one that hits
- 10:10Speaker 1: there's one that's like hits one seventy two. I'm curious
- 10:14Speaker 1: for lou Gary.
- 10:15Speaker 3: No.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Okay, first of all, everybody needs to stop. You guys
- 10:18Speaker 1: are probably thinking of the fifty six game hit story. Yes,
- 10:21Speaker 1: that's the one. Yes, Joe Demaggio, Yes, that's probably what
- 10:25Speaker 1: you're thinking when you think of Yankees. Yes, Gary was
- 10:28Speaker 1: the iron Horse because of all the games that he played.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But that was beat by cal Ripken. That's when we
- 10:32Speaker 1: were kids, and he won around and gave everybody five
- 10:34Speaker 1: and then kind of retired after that. Yeah, okay, but
- 10:38Speaker 1: cal Ripken would have come to my mind immediately. Yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 1: any other anything coming.
- 10:42Speaker 7: I was going to say, Demagio, that was that was
- 10:44Speaker 7: the big one.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Fifty six game hits story. Yeah, yes, correct, that's the one.
- 10:46Speaker 1: That's what I meant.
- 10:47Speaker 5: That's tough.
- 10:48Speaker 6: The other Yankee I think.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And again you may fact check me on this, but
- 10:52Speaker 1: the last person about four hundred was Ted Williams. That
- 10:55Speaker 1: hasn't happened. I think Tony Gwynn got close exactly.
- 10:57Speaker 7: Yeah, he was ninety something and saying on the podcast close,
- 11:02Speaker 7: I don't take four hundred.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I don't think so, No, I mean I think he
- 11:05Speaker 1: probably bad at three forty three to fifty, but that's close. Now,
- 11:08Speaker 1: So what was the Demagie one fifty six game history,
- 11:10Speaker 1: So that's fifty six hits, No, fifty six games in
- 11:14Speaker 1: a row.
- 11:14Speaker 7: He got a hit at least one hit.
- 11:16Speaker 5: That's amazing.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well, yeah, it's all time.
- 11:18Speaker 5: That's amazing.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, here we go, boys and girls. Is what
- 11:21Speaker 1: I've pulled up. NFL wise, Jerry Rice's career receiving yards
- 11:27Speaker 1: and ninety five one. Nobody's even close yard wise, but
- 11:30Speaker 1: the longevity that he had makes a big difference, right Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 1: And it's Smith's career rushing yards eighteen three hundred and
- 11:36Speaker 1: fifty five yards.
- 11:37Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Running Backs today don't last and they don't run enough
- 11:43Speaker 1: for anyone to right now, with how football is played,
- 11:48Speaker 1: they don't run the ball enough for this to happen. Now,
- 11:50Speaker 1: we've seen transitions from passing to rushing. You know, depending
- 11:55Speaker 1: on what the flavor of the decade is. Right now,
- 11:59Speaker 1: it's a lot of throwing. You're seeing passing records being
- 12:02Speaker 1: beat a lot ms Smith's career rushing yards probably will
- 12:05Speaker 1: not be broken in our lifetime. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- 12:09Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy six and nineteen seventy seven, they lost
- 12:13Speaker 1: twenty six games in a row. It would take two
- 12:16Speaker 1: full seasons. So if it goes at seventeen game schedule,
- 12:20Speaker 1: so it wouldn't take two four, but it would take
- 12:22Speaker 1: two most. Yeah, crazy.
- 12:24Speaker 6: I don't think the NFL will let that happen.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Now the Lions went totally defeated. Yeah, yeah, you know
- 12:30Speaker 1: in the oh eight Brett Farbes two hundred and ninety
- 12:35Speaker 1: seven consecutive starts at quarterback. Quarterbacks don't stay healthy long enough.
- 12:40Speaker 7: And I think Eli was close, but then they benched
- 12:42Speaker 7: him and it was a whole controversy.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And then also it's playing more games in a season
- 12:49Speaker 1: actually limits the odds of this happening, because imagine a
- 12:54Speaker 1: fourteen game season versus a seventeen game season. That's three
- 12:57Speaker 1: extra games in that season where you might be hurt.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Where you may you get through a fourteen without having
- 13:01Speaker 1: to miss a game, but you start putting fifteen, sixteen,
- 13:03Speaker 1: seventeen odds are the more games you play, the more
- 13:05Speaker 1: you're gonna get hurt. So the longer the seasons go,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you would think, well, that's just more games to play,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but actually you're having to play all those in a
- 13:11Speaker 1: row with the bye week happening twice. Yeah, so yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 1: two hundred ninety seven career consecutive starts. College football, Oklahoma's
- 13:23Speaker 1: forty seven game win streak. Now, this is from nineteen
- 13:26Speaker 1: fifty thirty, nineteen fifty seven.
- 13:28Speaker 5: I's gonna say, when was that? I don't remember? That
- 13:31Speaker 5: been a bit.
- 13:32Speaker 1: This should not be an official rule. This should not
- 13:34Speaker 1: be an official record because anything before integration really shouldn't count.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, you know a bunch of slow white
- 13:43Speaker 1: kids able to cheat would like this, and that goes
- 13:46Speaker 1: for any of it. Like so, but okay, incredible forty
- 13:51Speaker 1: seven game win streak. Barry Sanders had twenty six hundred
- 13:56Speaker 1: rushing yards in one season in eleven games.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Oh wow in college?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Uh no, NFL, oh college ok ok just making sure, Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 1: because because because uh genty was trying to yes, was
- 14:11Speaker 1: trying to beat him, he was, but he played, but
- 14:13Speaker 1: he played more games. He still didn't but he's still Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And Micro's ears twenty nine straight one hundred yard games.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Colleg Tueble, Nebraska, twenty nine straight one hundred yard games. Again,
- 14:26Speaker 1: that's wild, just on the surface, but nobody runs it
- 14:30Speaker 1: enough now to have one player run for that many. Yeah,
- 14:34Speaker 1: baseball cal Ripken Demaggio's fifty six game hit streak. Nolan
- 14:39Speaker 1: Ryan seven no hitters, Now, I remember like six and seven.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Nolan Ryan was in his forties.
- 14:45Speaker 5: Yeah, what a beast.
- 14:47Speaker 1: And when you're twelve, someone throwing in their forties isn't
- 14:52Speaker 1: that big a deal. When you get to your thirties
- 14:54Speaker 1: and your forties, someone dominating in their forties, You're like, dang,
- 14:57Speaker 1: it's like Lebron now being forty and he's probably gonna
- 14:59Speaker 1: be First team All NBA this year as a forty
- 15:02Speaker 1: year old.
- 15:02Speaker 5: It's amazingly crazy.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You're like, that's wild. Now, if I'm thirteen, I'm like, yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 1: it's all the same, and twenty nine or thirty nine,
- 15:08Speaker 1: there's no difference.
- 15:09Speaker 5: We didn't know how old anyone was.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Dude, is crazy to think now that he was in
- 15:13Speaker 1: his forties throwing no hitters.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Pretty crazy, sounds painful.
- 15:18Speaker 1: He has one of the fastest first pitches ever, meaning
- 15:26Speaker 1: he was already retired in his sixties and they bring
- 15:28Speaker 1: out somebody the ceremonial first pitch. Oh, that's funny. I
- 15:31Speaker 1: saw the top five fastest ceremonial first pitches ever. And
- 15:34Speaker 1: I think he was at number two or three and
- 15:36Speaker 1: he wasn't even throwing that hard.
- 15:37Speaker 5: It's just regular.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I think you threw like eighty but he was like
- 15:41Speaker 1: in his six he's like sixty four.
- 15:42Speaker 8: He was sixty three and through eighty five miles.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Yeah, wow, legend, Wow, total gray hair and ball.
- 15:50Speaker 6: I got stupid, got it.
- 15:52Speaker 12: Yes he was button up and slacks, Yes, button up shirt.
- 15:56Speaker 1: It's hilarious. There's a good documentary on Netflix about Nolan Ryan.
- 16:00Speaker 1: See it.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, really good.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Didn't think it'd be that good. Ended up really watching it. Fully. Yes,
- 16:05Speaker 1: if I'm a little undecided, I'll go. I will guarantee
- 16:09Speaker 1: myself myself half of it, and then I'll come back
- 16:11Speaker 1: and watch second half if I like it. But that
- 16:13Speaker 1: one I said all the way through.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it was really good.
- 16:15Speaker 1: NBA. Well Chamberlain's one hundred point game nineteen sixty two.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So here's the thing with that. There are no cameras
- 16:20Speaker 1: that had this came has not recorded. Yeah, and so
- 16:24Speaker 1: as Eddie taught us, the scorekeeper can do whatever he wants.
- 16:28Speaker 5: I've done it because I've done it.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Eddie was scorekeeper for his kids' games.
- 16:32Speaker 5: You know what I think I did this weekend.
- 16:33Speaker 4: I think I kicked someone out of the game by like,
- 16:36Speaker 4: I don't think they got five fouls, but my paper squeal.
- 16:39Speaker 5: And kick them out.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh. I would think though, that somebody's parents would have
- 16:42Speaker 1: reacted so negatively it had been such there they they'd
- 16:51Speaker 1: have been so demanded. Dude, d had gone out of
- 16:53Speaker 1: their mind.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Because it was a major tournament. But it was one
- 16:56Speaker 5: kid was twenty four and they was twenty nine. And
- 16:57Speaker 5: I think, God, I.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Just think the parent would have free out had you
- 17:01Speaker 1: pulled the kid without them knowing, especially if it's a tournament.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And I think they probably keep up with their kids fouls.
- 17:04Speaker 4: And I'm a little annoyed too when someone gets five files.
- 17:07Speaker 5: I'm like, hey, rap there right.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I was gonna make the George Brett pintaw reference. But
- 17:11Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys would get that.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Oh yeah you do.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I don't remember it. I was too young, but I've.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Seen it when he charged the man.
- 17:19Speaker 1: And they said you have pinet on your bat and
- 17:20Speaker 1: he sprints out George Brett. It was way way, way
- 17:24Speaker 1: long time ago. Yeah, So the one hundred point game.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I think we do what we did here with the
- 17:30Speaker 1: Alabama or excuse the Oklahomba win streak because we can't
- 17:36Speaker 1: see it. There's no picture of the scoreboard, nothing but
- 17:39Speaker 1: the scoreboard doesn't matter.
- 17:41Speaker 9: And what's crazy is I'm watching the Celtics documentary on
- 17:43Speaker 9: HBO that Bill Simmons, did you know? And they have
- 17:45Speaker 9: so much video of Chamberlain and Bill Russell and there's
- 17:48Speaker 9: still nothing of this hundred point game.
- 17:51Speaker 10: Who shot that three and made it?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Well? There were no threes?
- 17:54Speaker 10: Oh yeah, actually, yeah, who made that point?
- 17:56Speaker 1: He jumps in for a little sports yah, which she
- 17:58Speaker 1: never does.
- 17:58Speaker 10: Because there's no threes back there. Dang man. Yeah, there's
- 18:02Speaker 10: no chance.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Then Bill Russell's eleven NBA titles. Yeah, John Stockton's carew
- 18:07Speaker 1: assists at fifteen thousand, and Wilt Chamberlain average fifty points
- 18:13Speaker 1: a game. Nobody's gonna get forty now, much less fifty.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I mean, you're looking at like Luca whenever he's completely
- 18:22Speaker 1: ball dominant and his uses drade is super high and
- 18:24Speaker 1: he's thirty two.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Man, you don't think they can beat that.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Fifty fifty a game.
- 18:31Speaker 5: I feel like we can get there at some point.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I feel like there's so many stars on each team
- 18:36Speaker 1: that that would never happen.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Okay, because they'll all be taking shots. Well, because you're
- 18:42Speaker 4: definitely not talking about defense, right, I mean, there's.
- 18:44Speaker 1: It's not even that, it's just fifty is that's just
- 18:47Speaker 1: do that once? Is crazy?
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 18:49Speaker 6: And how many games? I wonder that they play back
- 18:51Speaker 6: then four?
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely they played four games. And also Wilt's hundred
- 18:57Speaker 1: point game. I wonder how much that affected his fifty
- 19:00Speaker 1: point four average very season. Wayne Gretzky is the point getter,
- 19:07Speaker 1: not goal but point getter. You could raise all of
- 19:09Speaker 1: his goals and he'd still be the all times points
- 19:11Speaker 1: leader just off assists.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Wow, that's unbelievable. Yeah.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Michael Phelps a gole medals and one Olympics, which is
- 19:18Speaker 1: two thousand and eight. The swimming thing though, was a
- 19:20Speaker 1: little cheating as well, because it's like we're gonna do
- 19:24Speaker 1: the four hundred with no pinky, Now we're going to
- 19:26Speaker 1: the four undred with two pinkies, now to the four
- 19:29Speaker 1: hundred with one eye closed. It's like they have forty
- 19:32Speaker 1: seven events that are just slightly different, and if you're
- 19:35Speaker 1: really good at one of them, you're probably really good
- 19:37Speaker 1: at a few of them, not saying that he's not
- 19:39Speaker 1: super dominant, because everybody has the ability to win like
- 19:42Speaker 1: he didn't, no one ever has. But the swimming things
- 19:44Speaker 1: a little odd when it comes to most decorated medalists ever,
- 19:47Speaker 1: and it's swimming. They have seventeen events. That's the backstroke.
- 19:53Speaker 1: One is just with your right left foot flex.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Only using your left hand.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yes, that's it. But Devin Hester's return touchdowns, Yeah, twenty
- 20:02Speaker 1: total career return touchdowns. He's in the Hall of Fame.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Maybe the only Hall of Famer to specifically as a
- 20:09Speaker 1: return guy. Hm. Possibly So. Anyway, I saw that Ovechkin
- 20:12Speaker 1: had broken that record, so I brought that there.
- 20:15Speaker 6: The celebration was cool. Huh flying on the ice?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Did you see it on the stomach? Yeah, of course.
- 20:19Speaker 7: It was against the Islanders too, like right my hometown.
- 20:21Speaker 7: It's like right around the block from he used to live.
- 20:23Speaker 1: And I'm just I'm not a hockey guy, and I've
- 20:25Speaker 1: openly admitted that I don't know anything about hockey. But
- 20:28Speaker 1: I guess I know more than Eddie. It sounds like
- 20:30Speaker 1: I don't know I know who he is.
- 20:31Speaker 5: I did what I've seen, don't understand it, and.
- 20:34Speaker 6: He looks old now too.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Ovechkin he does.
- 20:36Speaker 6: I haven't seen him in years because I don't know.
- 20:38Speaker 9: They haven't been relevant, I guess in the playoffs and
- 20:40Speaker 9: that's the only time I watched, and I'm like, dang,
- 20:42Speaker 9: he looks old.
- 20:42Speaker 7: The helmet off.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah, And part of it too, is because he has
- 20:44Speaker 1: a beard, and that beard is so like salt and
- 20:47Speaker 1: pepper and like gray. The thing about him too is
- 20:50Speaker 1: he like has just like a normal dude body. It
- 20:53Speaker 1: kind of always has. Yeah, just been like your uncle.
- 20:56Speaker 1: He just kind of looks like your ancles, like Luca.
- 20:58Speaker 1: That's really Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 6: They think beers at the games for sure.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So yeah, congratulations to him. I was filling in for
- 21:06Speaker 1: rich Eisen early last week. I'm just gonna play this
- 21:09Speaker 1: clip because I did not know this was coming. I
- 21:12Speaker 1: thought it was funny. I had on Eli Drinkwitz, who
- 21:17Speaker 1: we refer to his drink, who everybody referred to his
- 21:19Speaker 1: drink as a guest and he doesn't have much of
- 21:22Speaker 1: a filter, which is what I like about him. And
- 21:24Speaker 1: he brought up something about me that I did not
- 21:26Speaker 1: know his public knowledge. Now, I am a donor to
- 21:30Speaker 1: the University of Arkansas, and what he said here when
- 21:33Speaker 1: he said it, I was a little taken aback because
- 21:37Speaker 1: I was like, how did it even know this? My
- 21:39Speaker 1: theory now is he found it somewhere and was loaded
- 21:41Speaker 1: ready to go because he loves he loves it, just like,
- 21:44Speaker 1: not even in a negative way, because I thought it
- 21:45Speaker 1: was funny. But here you go. What did you play
- 21:46Speaker 1: the clip?
- 21:47Speaker 5: Please?
- 21:47Speaker 11: But I did see, you know, with the Razorbacks sweet
- 21:50Speaker 11: sixteen appearance. I saw where you were on the you know,
- 21:53Speaker 11: giving another fifty thousand or something to their nil So
- 21:57Speaker 11: that was pretty good.
- 21:58Speaker 5: I mean they kind of got.
- 21:58Speaker 1: You over that public. Where do you I did not
- 22:00Speaker 1: know that was public. I did not, Like, I don't mind,
- 22:03Speaker 1: because you're not making a joke.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Thought job cal.
- 22:10Speaker 1: So I didn't tweet that. I know how I knew that.
- 22:13Speaker 5: So I didn't tweet it though, Like I don't think
- 22:17Speaker 5: you would tweet it.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Would never tweet that. I wouldn't even share how much
- 22:21Speaker 1: here's another fifty and that I recently donated this right.
- 22:24Speaker 4: But it's almost like he quoted your tweet, like he
- 22:26Speaker 4: read it somewhere.
- 22:27Speaker 1: No, I think he was just being funny. I think
- 22:28Speaker 1: he came into the interview ready to go, like ready
- 22:32Speaker 1: to mix it up, not in a bad way because
- 22:35Speaker 1: we've had him on. He's fun to have on. And
- 22:38Speaker 1: he came in and I had asked him after that
- 22:40Speaker 1: I went to it. I was like, all right, screwt
- 22:42Speaker 1: like you just say stuff to irritate people, like I know.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And he talked about a couple of instances, like with
- 22:47Speaker 1: hypol at Tennessee when he goes, you know, we stand
- 22:50Speaker 1: on business and they caught him and he goes sometimes.
- 22:53Speaker 1: But I think he was doing that there to be
- 22:55Speaker 1: funny because I didn't tweet that. I would never tweet that.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I wonder if there's like a database somewhere where people
- 23:01Speaker 4: have to declare how much they've gotten from who, because
- 23:04Speaker 4: how would he know that?
- 23:06Speaker 1: My point exactly, unless there is, yes, some sort that
- 23:11Speaker 1: coaches or administrators that they can see, I don't know,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but I definitely did not put that out of there.
- 23:17Speaker 8: It was funny.
- 23:18Speaker 6: I was watching them when that happened.
- 23:19Speaker 1: In your face was like what I thought, he just
- 23:21Speaker 1: got lucky making a joke because I didn't. I also
- 23:25Speaker 1: didn't donate it because of Coln the basketball team, which
- 23:28Speaker 1: is what's funny is it was before that, so he
- 23:31Speaker 1: obviously was just messing with me, so good. But it
- 23:34Speaker 1: was like three weeks before that.
- 23:37Speaker 6: Oh okay, then yeah, he was definitely messing with you.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Yes, so I must tip the old hat. Yeah, because
- 23:44Speaker 1: he came in prepared to really kick me in the
- 23:46Speaker 1: nuts in a funny way, and he did. And I
- 23:50Speaker 1: tried to google. There was nothing. I saw, nothing weird.
- 23:53Speaker 9: It has to be somebody that like works in the
- 23:55Speaker 9: administration somehow in sec I don't know.
- 23:57Speaker 6: He definitely took a different angle. Look good for him.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I guess fifty two though it's kind of could be
- 24:02Speaker 4: a random number. They just fifty, Like fifty could just
- 24:05Speaker 4: be a random number to throw out and maybe you
- 24:06Speaker 4: hit it.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It's not There's no way he would have just had money.
- 24:09Speaker 1: You don't hit it right on the head like that, luckily.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And also I had just like a month prior that.
- 24:15Speaker 1: There's no chance that that was but just luck, coincidence,
- 24:20Speaker 1: no chance we had a little I won't say drama,
- 24:25Speaker 1: but here at the studio. I don't know when you're
- 24:28Speaker 1: listening to this, if you're listening on Monday when we're
- 24:29Speaker 1: doing it, or Tuesday the next day, but so earlier
- 24:33Speaker 1: this morning. It hasn't aired on the Bobby Bone show.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yet we had Counting Crows coming into play and they
- 24:39Speaker 1: have a new record coming out in May. It's my
- 24:41Speaker 1: favorite band ever and Eddie's also a big fan of
- 24:44Speaker 1: Counting Crows, so we were pretty pumped about it. And so,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you know, I come in this morning and I'm like, man,
- 24:49Speaker 1: it's gonna be awesome because they're like they're going to
- 24:51Speaker 1: do a hit and then they're also going to do
- 24:53Speaker 1: one of the new songs, and I'm like, love it.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I would have even been like, Okay, cool too, new songs,
- 24:58Speaker 1: but I'd have been a little disappointed because you want
- 24:59Speaker 1: to hear like the songs that you know that are
- 25:01Speaker 1: the big hits from your favorite band. And so we
- 25:03Speaker 1: get in and Scooba was like, yeah, they're gonna do
- 25:05Speaker 1: a long December and a new one, and I'm like,
- 25:07Speaker 1: this is awesome. Like if I could have just picked
- 25:09Speaker 1: one song for them to do, that would have been it.
- 25:12Speaker 7: Great song.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Yeah, And School was like, but we didn't have a keyboard,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, when did you know. He's like, well,
- 25:23Speaker 1: like Friday or Saturday, they said, And I'm like, man,
- 25:26Speaker 1: I can round it up a keyboard like a nice
- 25:28Speaker 1: one i'd have bought a keyboard. And it's like seven
- 25:32Speaker 1: am here and they're coming in as soon as the
- 25:35Speaker 1: show in, so we got like two and a half hours.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So I text Brandon Brandon raand I'm like, you have
- 25:39Speaker 1: a keyboard? He goes, I have a small one because
- 25:41Speaker 1: he does music production. And then I text Reid and
- 25:44Speaker 1: reads like, I got a keyboard. I'll bring it up,
- 25:47Speaker 1: and so Reid comes up Save the day. I'm still
- 25:49Speaker 1: trying to trying to get because they're a long December.
- 25:52Speaker 1: That's like the one you want to hear. I mean,
- 25:53Speaker 1: mister Jones is awesome, but it's one more day up
- 25:56Speaker 1: in the canyon on the piano, one more night in Hollywood,
- 26:03Speaker 1: if you think so. I'm so read that shows up
- 26:06Speaker 1: with a broken keyboard.
- 26:09Speaker 10: In my defense, I didn't know it was broken and
- 26:12Speaker 10: it's my roommates and I think he was still asleep,
- 26:15Speaker 10: and so I texted him ass if I could borrow it,
- 26:17Speaker 10: but I took it anyway. And then I'm like ten
- 26:20Speaker 10: minutes away from the studio and I get a text
- 26:22Speaker 10: from him and he's like, Hey, which keyboard did you grab?
- 26:25Speaker 10: Was it this eighty eight key I was like, yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 10: He's like, dude, I don't think that one works.
- 26:30Speaker 1: So then I was like great, Great, we still rolled
- 26:33Speaker 1: up with it. They still tried it, so it took
- 26:37Speaker 1: forever to like go through the Yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 4: And we tried even their like road and their roady
- 26:42Speaker 4: guy was like trying to mess with it, like, no, man,
- 26:44Speaker 4: I can't get this to one.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:45Speaker 10: It was just a little connector that plugs into the power,
- 26:47Speaker 10: just giving it no juice. So I threw it off
- 26:49Speaker 10: the balcony out here.
- 26:52Speaker 1: It was. It was pretty frustrating.
- 26:55Speaker 5: We were so close.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Yeah, And so they ended up doing two songs at
- 26:59Speaker 1: a new when they do one that I know because
- 27:01Speaker 1: I'm a big fan, but it wasn't what they'd originally
- 27:03Speaker 1: planned to play. They had planned to play a long December,
- 27:05Speaker 1: and so since this is him and his guitar player,
- 27:07Speaker 1: he was I think they're pretty limited. So they did
- 27:10Speaker 1: a song called Washington Square and it was awesome for me.
- 27:12Speaker 1: But I know that it's different. But it's like if
- 27:14Speaker 1: I had just been told a day prior, I could
- 27:17Speaker 1: easily gotten a keyboard up here.
- 27:20Speaker 10: Also, is it weird to ask why they don't have
- 27:22Speaker 10: a keyboard?
- 27:24Speaker 1: What do you mean they're not traveling to they're just
- 27:26Speaker 1: doing press.
- 27:27Speaker 10: It's not a guitar.
- 27:28Speaker 1: It's not the full band.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I got you.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It's not the full band. It was like a player
- 27:31Speaker 1: and Adam, and Adam was going to play the keys.
- 27:33Speaker 1: That makes sense, got you. And if he was doing
- 27:35Speaker 1: all the press for the record, he's not really traveling
- 27:37Speaker 1: with a keyboard. Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 5: They didn't give a two weeks notice.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Oh their scuba coming on now, two weeks heads up
- 27:42Speaker 2: in phone calls and emails.
- 27:43Speaker 1: But if you let me know.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Even yesterday after Yestiday, I had a tree on top
- 27:46Speaker 2: of my truck and I had life hit me and
- 27:48Speaker 2: so that was more important. But a text going hey dude,
- 27:51Speaker 2: I didn't get anything. She called me Sunday when the
- 27:52Speaker 2: freaking tornado was coming through. I'm underneath the stairs at
- 27:55Speaker 2: my house. There was no tournado for Sunday, but there
- 27:57Speaker 2: was warnings. I have three children under seven.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Everything GE's I did here on excuses. There were no
- 28:01Speaker 1: tornado excuse on Saturday.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I was onneath my stairs Sunday, Sunday Saturdays when it
- 28:06Speaker 2: first started stars for twenty four hours, not twenty four hours.
- 28:10Speaker 2: In the moment that it was happening, and then after
- 28:12Speaker 2: that I'm realing with it and dealing with the kids
- 28:13Speaker 2: and all that crap. It gets into Sunday. I wake
- 28:15Speaker 2: up like, crap, there's a tree on my truck. So
- 28:18Speaker 2: I spent all of Sunday chopping down this damn tree,
- 28:20Speaker 2: find out my truck's all damaged. And then I see
- 28:23Speaker 2: my voicemails and all this stuff, and my crap. She
- 28:24Speaker 2: called me Saturday. But I would have liked to have
- 28:26Speaker 2: had this handled two weeks ago, a week ago, my
- 28:29Speaker 2: point days ago.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Even at noon or at six pm last night, I
- 28:33Speaker 1: could have got a keyboard. Like No, at eight pm
- 28:37Speaker 1: last night, I.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Could have got one two weeks ago. No, there ago,
- 28:39Speaker 5: five days ago, four days If you.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Had just texted me last night they said, hey, can
- 28:43Speaker 1: you get a keyboard? At ten pm last night, I
- 28:47Speaker 1: could have got a keyboard. This is music city. I
- 28:49Speaker 1: could have called thirty friends and been like, Hey, I'm
- 28:52Speaker 1: gonna swinging by a grab a keyboard.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I haven't checked Guitar Center, but they didn't open until ten,
- 28:56Speaker 4: so that was gonna be too late.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Written so still really cool, but really one of the
- 29:00Speaker 1: most disappointing. They were gonna be my favorite songs of
- 29:03Speaker 1: all time. And we missed it because I didn't get
- 29:04Speaker 1: a text saying hey, we need a keyboard tomorrow.
- 29:06Speaker 10: You should have like played an instrumental and just had
- 29:08Speaker 10: him fake like he was playing the keys.
- 29:11Speaker 1: That's not funny, man.
- 29:14Speaker 10: He could still sing over the vocals.
- 29:16Speaker 5: I mean to do that.
- 29:18Speaker 10: Come on, man, he probably sings over a track.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He doesn't sing in the studio.
- 29:24Speaker 10: He does.
- 29:26Speaker 1: You don't know what he does in the studio.
- 29:28Speaker 10: I imagine they overdubbed.
- 29:31Speaker 1: You don't know what he does in the studio, Dude.
- 29:33Speaker 5: When they make albums, that's what you're talking about.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's not even a track. That's why they're
- 29:37Speaker 1: recording it. Well yeah, but then okay, you're right, it
- 29:40Speaker 1: doesn't matter anyway. We missed big, big, big, big, big big,
- 29:44Speaker 1: Like personally, that would have been really cool. That had
- 29:47Speaker 1: been the cool That had been the coolest, the coolest
- 29:49Speaker 1: performance ever of my life in Here Along December like
- 29:55Speaker 1: Garth performing in Here Along December from County Crows. That
- 30:00Speaker 1: had been it. This has been in the top ones.
- 30:02Speaker 10: You know what's crazy? Me and Kevin have never heard
- 30:04Speaker 10: that song before.
- 30:05Speaker 1: A long December surprising. Yeah, you guys, you're the one
- 30:09Speaker 1: to argue. First of all, you argue for Wilt's three
- 30:12Speaker 1: point line.
- 30:15Speaker 5: And then you say Adam Durret's overdubs.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And then he puts the big deal.
- 30:21Speaker 5: It sings to a track. That's what it was.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Anyway, that that that one's gonna haunt
- 30:26Speaker 1: me for a while.
- 30:27Speaker 5: Hey, sorry, dude.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Because I got the schedule email from Scooba going hairybody
- 30:33Speaker 1: here here here, we're doing this. So that happened yesterday afternoon,
- 30:35Speaker 1: So it was like when you do that email, just hey, hey,
- 30:39Speaker 1: can you guys a keyboard for tomorrow?
- 30:41Speaker 4: It's just like I haven't texted someone in the building
- 30:44Speaker 4: to see if we had just won, like in an
- 30:45Speaker 4: office somewhere, but no, man didn't exist.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, let me get onto a little deal here.
- 30:52Speaker 1: So pick six from DraftKings, and I'm gonna say Pick
- 30:56Speaker 1: six is great, first of all because of what it does,
- 30:59Speaker 1: but also because you can do it in a lot
- 31:00Speaker 1: of places you can't do some of the other stuff.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Pick six is like this, you select tw or more
- 31:05Speaker 1: players you choose. It will have more or less of
- 31:06Speaker 1: a stat like point, three bounds, three pointers. All the
- 31:09Speaker 1: stats are up there Walter Clayton for Florida more or
- 31:13Speaker 1: less than twenty points. I mean, the average is eighteen
- 31:15Speaker 1: and a half a game. It's no Wilt, but that's
- 31:17Speaker 1: pretty significant. I probably go less defense, Yeah, defense, and
- 31:25Speaker 1: two like he played out of his mind against Auburn.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Yeah, he's so good.
- 31:31Speaker 1: He's so good, and he's an Iona transfer right Yeah, yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 1: like two years ago.
- 31:35Speaker 6: Yeah with a Patino Yep.
- 31:38Speaker 1: LJ. Cryer for Houston more or less than seventeen points.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I mean, if they're I don't know, dude, Houston can't win.
- 31:47Speaker 5: They can't. I know they can win.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I know, and I'm not even gonna hate it if
- 31:51Speaker 1: they do. I just can't and I can't. That doesn't
- 31:53Speaker 1: compute for me with them winning a national championship. It'd
- 31:58Speaker 1: be like Belmont winning one to me. And it's not
- 32:00Speaker 1: the same. I know.
- 32:00Speaker 5: But I mean they've been there, what four times?
- 32:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they've been there a lot.
- 32:03Speaker 7: I slam the jama did you see?
- 32:06Speaker 1: Oh I hold that. I'm glad you said that anyway.
- 32:08Speaker 1: So what you do is you go. You can do
- 32:11Speaker 1: Ljcryer over under seventeen points more or less. You can
- 32:13Speaker 1: do Emmanuel Sharp for Houston more or less than fifteen points.
- 32:16Speaker 1: You have your thirteen per game. But it's an amazing
- 32:19Speaker 1: way too. If you don't want to bet on the
- 32:21Speaker 1: actual game, or maybe if you can't to get in,
- 32:23Speaker 1: download the new DraftKings Pick six app and use the
- 32:26Speaker 1: code Bobby Sports.
- 32:28Speaker 5: Gambling problem called one hundred.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Gambler help was available for problem gambling called eight to
- 32:31Speaker 2: eight seven eight nine seven to seven seven seven or
- 32:34Speaker 2: visit CCPG dot organ Connecticut. Must be eighteen plus. Age
- 32:37Speaker 2: and eligibility restrictions vary by jurisdiction. Pick six not available everywhere,
- 32:41Speaker 2: including New York and Ontario. Void were prohibited one per
- 32:43Speaker 2: new customer, but it's awarded as non would drawable Pick

- 32:49Speaker 2: See terms at Pick six DoD DraftKings dot com slash promos.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Hey, we talked a second ago about Houston and I
- 32:58Speaker 1: think Casey had and uh five jam islama. Yeah, I
- 33:05Speaker 1: even mentioned it last week because you're talking about clude
- 33:07Speaker 1: Drexler and Akim Olajah want at the University of Houston.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Amazing not the Rockets right where. Yeah, but you see
- 33:15Speaker 1: Olija won not able to get on the court to
- 33:17Speaker 1: celebrate They like, hell, I was on court side is
- 33:24Speaker 1: like royalty. They're like, no, I'm sorry, you can't get
- 33:26Speaker 1: on the court.
- 33:26Speaker 5: I guess it's San Antonio. I mean they probably done it. Realize.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I don't know why, but even San Antonio is close
- 33:32Speaker 1: to Houston. I agree, I know, but it doesn't matter
- 33:35Speaker 1: even if it's in Boston Sacramento. It's like that that's
- 33:38Speaker 1: one of the greats. Not only is that one of
- 33:40Speaker 1: the greats from the program that I understand everybody wanting
- 33:42Speaker 1: to get on the court if used to be a
- 33:43Speaker 1: guy that played in Houston, he's also the guy, yes,
- 33:47Speaker 1: the guy wildly famous. On top of that, someone just
- 33:50Speaker 1: should have said this is a keem olajah Wan and
- 33:54Speaker 1: they I'm sure they did.
- 33:56Speaker 7: He also looked great by the way from h Wow,
- 33:59Speaker 7: that's like, I.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Don't believe that's a team. He's towering over only seven ft.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Jim Nan, he's been in every game him. He hasn't
- 34:07Speaker 1: lost in that shirt. That's right.
- 34:10Speaker 6: They did talk about that.
- 34:10Speaker 1: They brought it up.
- 34:11Speaker 5: He's a Houston alone.
- 34:14Speaker 1: And he was wearing a sweater and it's like nance
- 34:16Speaker 1: hasn't lost since you know, he's as a loss since
- 34:18Speaker 1: he's been wearing the sweater yep, and he's had it
- 34:20Speaker 1: on every time.
- 34:20Speaker 5: I know, Man, Florida win the game.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I don't want to do too much because this may
- 34:24Speaker 1: expire this, this will expire after the game tonight. But
- 34:26Speaker 1: who do you want to win?
- 34:28Speaker 9: I'm usually an underdog guy, but I for some reason
- 34:31Speaker 9: I want Florida. And I don't know why, but I
- 34:33Speaker 9: love Clayton. I love the way he plays in Florida
- 34:36Speaker 9: is just awesome, and so I want Florida.
- 34:38Speaker 1: I would like to see Florida win too. I'm an
- 34:40Speaker 1: sec guy, but if Houston wins, I won't be that mad,
- 34:42Speaker 1: although I just can't see it on my head right yeah,
- 34:44Speaker 1: I just can't see it because I like a team
- 34:47Speaker 1: that just grinds it out, like that's fun to see
- 34:50Speaker 1: a team that isn't traditionally dynamic in the ways of
- 34:55Speaker 1: dunks and three pointers and a lot of offense, which
- 34:58Speaker 1: is what the game is now win the thing because
- 35:01Speaker 1: they man, they just locked down, edie, who do you
- 35:03Speaker 1: want to win?
- 35:04Speaker 10: Uh?
- 35:04Speaker 4: If Florida wins, my son wins the bracket, which is
- 35:07Speaker 4: like five hundred dollars. Oh, so I'm going for Florida.
- 35:10Speaker 5: Just for him.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Nice question. And I was thinking about this yesterday and
- 35:16Speaker 1: I saw Kevin that you had made the note. So
- 35:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you do this set up first, because
- 35:22Speaker 1: there's a guest that you say that I wanted on
- 35:26Speaker 1: the show we weren't able to find. Yes, I was
- 35:29Speaker 1: actually thinking of a certain person like yesterday, and I
- 35:32Speaker 1: don't know if it's the same person. But so you
- 35:34Speaker 1: without saying who it is, what's the story.
- 35:36Speaker 9: The story is last year you brought up a topic
- 35:40Speaker 9: of discussion for all of us and you said, what
- 35:42Speaker 9: is your first memory as a child with a professional athlete?
- 35:47Speaker 6: And so we all went around the room.
- 35:49Speaker 1: This is bizarre. I was thinking about this yesterday, really, yes,
- 35:52Speaker 1: before all that, Yes, no, on your mind. Yes, it
- 35:55Speaker 1: was like randomly, I was randomly thinking about it because
- 35:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you if it's the same. My thing
- 36:00Speaker 1: was I went to Arksall Travelers baseball games and there
- 36:03Speaker 1: was a picture named John Lepley. I just remember because
- 36:06Speaker 1: he was the only autograph ever got going to these games.
- 36:08Speaker 1: And then we tried to track him down and he
- 36:10Speaker 1: was the lawyer on LinkedIn. Remember, Yeah, we went on LinkedIn.
- 36:14Speaker 1: He was a minor league player. I don't know if
- 36:15Speaker 1: we ever made it to the majors, but I just
- 36:17Speaker 1: I remember it vividly because that was the first autograph
- 36:20Speaker 1: I ever got, and it was they were double A
- 36:23Speaker 1: Arkansas Travelers, John Lepley, and we searched for his name
- 36:28Speaker 1: and he was like running at a vision of a
- 36:30Speaker 1: food company or something. We left a voicemail and I
- 36:33Speaker 1: was like, if this is John Lepley when it was
- 36:35Speaker 1: Bobby Bones and we never heard back. Crazy coincidence, So
- 36:41Speaker 1: what happened?
- 36:41Speaker 6: Random?
- 36:42Speaker 9: And then so somebody DM me on Instagram this guy
- 36:44Speaker 9: named Eric Floor. Shout out to Eric Floor and said, Hey,
- 36:47Speaker 9: I know this sounds crazy, but the guy you guys
- 36:50Speaker 9: talked about last year, John Lepley, who gave Bobby the
- 36:53Speaker 9: autograph as a kid, he recruited me for this beer company.
- 36:56Speaker 9: So now I work for him. And I mentioned to
- 36:59Speaker 9: him how you guys brought up up on the podcast.
- 37:01Speaker 9: He was like, take him back by here's his number
- 37:03Speaker 9: if you guys are interested in having him on no way.
- 37:05Speaker 9: So I was like, what, that's crazy, got his number,
- 37:08Speaker 9: reached out to John. I've been texting him last week
- 37:10Speaker 9: for a few days here and there, and he's just
- 37:13Speaker 9: like he couldn't believe it. He's like, this is amazing.
- 37:15Speaker 9: I would love to come on and talk if you
- 37:16Speaker 9: guys are interesting. Yeah, And I was like, do you
- 37:18Speaker 9: have any identity? I just need to make sure you're
- 37:20Speaker 9: the guy you know. He sends me pictures of his
- 37:23Speaker 9: baseball card and ring that he had from his playing days.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Awesome, amazing.
- 37:28Speaker 1: So two things. One, I always find a way to
- 37:30Speaker 1: be insulted. Doesn't matter, I know it. It's just what
- 37:33Speaker 1: I do, right, I always find a way to be
- 37:35Speaker 1: insulted by something and to find a reason to have
- 37:38Speaker 1: a chip on my shoulder. And this is awesome because
- 37:41Speaker 1: I'd love to talk to him. I don't remember much
- 37:43Speaker 1: about it except that was just the first person that
- 37:45Speaker 1: ever autographed anything for me, and I remember his baseball car,
- 37:47Speaker 1: the Travelers, but the fact that we talked about it, it
- 37:49Speaker 1: didn't get to him naturally, Like I'm insulted by that. Yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 1: a little bit so long now I'm assulted that it
- 37:54Speaker 1: had to take somebody, Like I'm like, we must not
- 37:57Speaker 1: be cutting through like like that. That's the kind of
- 38:00Speaker 1: weird like mental games I do with myself, and that's
- 38:03Speaker 1: why I hate myself most of the time.
- 38:04Speaker 6: That's what you go to.
- 38:06Speaker 1: That's immediately what I went to.
- 38:08Speaker 5: But it's cool that eventually it got to him.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like your model eventually gets across the ocean.
- 38:14Speaker 5: It took a while, yeah.
- 38:15Speaker 9: Yeah, but like one are the odds that he's recruiting
- 38:17Speaker 9: this guy who listens to a show and then somehow
- 38:19Speaker 9: that it's brought up almost a year later.
- 38:21Speaker 1: You're right, because I could look at it like that,
- 38:23Speaker 1: like we are cutting through so much so that there's
- 38:25Speaker 1: someone the guy you mentioned, I heard it Eric, Eric,
- 38:29Speaker 1: and it's like I just heard them talking about you
- 38:32Speaker 1: on a podcast or on the radio. So yes, I
- 38:35Speaker 1: could look at it that way, but I chose not
- 38:37Speaker 1: to because my reaction is to be insulted that not
- 38:40Speaker 1: by anybody specifically, but mostly but at the lack. And
- 38:45Speaker 1: then I look at look inward and go, well, it's
- 38:47Speaker 1: my fault because we must not be good enough that
- 38:49Speaker 1: we have enough of an audience that it landed to
- 38:51Speaker 1: him quicker.
- 38:54Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't see it like that.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's cool with this Eric guy to move
- 38:58Speaker 4: on that because like all that cool podcast do you
- 39:01Speaker 4: listen to him?
- 39:01Speaker 5: Like I'm gonna do this for them.
- 39:04Speaker 1: I love that all that's positive, that party, But it's
- 39:07Speaker 1: just this is a way I live my life. I
- 39:09Speaker 1: don't like it, but I always find a way to
- 39:12Speaker 1: be insulted or to find how how I'm being wronged.
- 39:16Speaker 7: That's that Michael Jordan's you know, I create stuff.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yeah, personally, So I'm gonna I'm gonna not take the
- 39:24Speaker 1: process personal and I'm not gonna go home and think
- 39:27Speaker 1: about how man we talked about it and it didn't
- 39:30Speaker 1: get to him like quicker.
- 39:32Speaker 5: So that ends here. We're done with the thought.
- 39:35Speaker 1: It's like a seed man that doesn't kind of craft.
- 39:39Speaker 1: That drives me unhealthily. But that is super cool. I'd
- 39:41Speaker 1: love to get them on. We should talk to him,
- 39:42Speaker 1: yeah Friday or so, okay, does you want to play
- 39:44Speaker 1: pick a ball for one thousand bucks?
- 39:49Speaker 5: Looking for a challenge anyone?
- 39:51Speaker 1: We have an attorney, we can set it all up.
- 39:55Speaker 1: That's super cool and really weird that I was thinking
- 39:58Speaker 1: about that.
- 39:58Speaker 6: Yeah, that's wild.

- 41:19Speaker 1: Bobbybone Show maybe later this week. Is that confirm, Mike?
- 41:23Speaker 8: I don't think so.
- 41:25Speaker 1: If I watched that movie and it's not confirmed, this
- 41:28Speaker 1: is gonna be two scuba Steve kills in a week.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Oh it's a movie director.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah, is he still out there?
- 41:33Speaker 8: He just walked out.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Yell at him. Who you're in travel, Let's see it.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Let's see if he comes back. Yeah. So they send
- 41:46Speaker 1: me a movie and they say, we need you to
- 41:49Speaker 1: watch this, and I'm like, I don't do deals like that.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I don't like you have to check with me first,
- 41:55Speaker 1: like we sold this, you know you have to watch
- 41:58Speaker 1: it to interview the person against Scoop is coming back
- 42:01Speaker 1: from his truck that's apparently been hit by something. Keyboard. Hey,
- 42:08Speaker 1: two appearances one show?
- 42:11Speaker 5: Uh my dream?
- 42:12Speaker 1: Do we have that interview set up for the director?
- 42:14Speaker 1: Who I watched that movie that you email me about?
- 42:18Speaker 10: Oh?
- 42:18Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, Ryan Coogler, Yes, yeah, that should be
- 42:20Speaker 2: Wednesday the eighth.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Okay, because it's still a hole in my calendar.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Yeah, let me confirm it then, oh no, and make
- 42:27Speaker 2: sure that the movie is still coming out.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Feelings hurt twice.
- 42:30Speaker 1: It's not feelings, it's just.
- 42:32Speaker 2: It's just I'm I'm organized and everyone else is not,
- 42:35Speaker 2: and so I have to deal with the frustration and
- 42:37Speaker 2: people can't get together.
- 42:38Speaker 5: That's the nature of this job.
- 42:40Speaker 1: No, the nature is I get my balls busted to
- 42:43Speaker 1: watch this the movie that that is ridiculous.
- 42:46Speaker 2: And that was another thing where I don't want to
- 42:48Speaker 2: talk too much about it to get us in trouble.
- 42:50Speaker 2: But I appreciate you doing that. I know that was
- 42:52Speaker 2: a lot of hurdles to get this done, and we
- 42:55Speaker 2: needed to do it otherwise because otherwise the interview wouldn't
- 42:57Speaker 2: be what it should be without seeing the film, and
- 43:00Speaker 2: it wouldn't be it'd be very disrespectful to the director
- 43:02Speaker 2: as well. So I appreciate you for taking the steps
- 43:05Speaker 2: and the leaps and bounds to make that happen because.
- 43:06Speaker 5: It was a lot watch it.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Well, hold on, that's not even the point of it.
- 43:09Speaker 1: The point of it is I was gonna mention something
- 43:10Speaker 1: about it. Then I thought I only watched it because
- 43:14Speaker 1: this director was coming on Wednesday. But then I thought
- 43:16Speaker 1: in my calendar it still says hold. And then I'm like,
- 43:19Speaker 1: if I went to all that because you don't even
- 43:21Speaker 1: know I was going to tell you the process of
- 43:22Speaker 1: getting to it's I just watched the movie.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Maneah, that's the whole thing.
- 43:24Speaker 2: So what Yeah, I'll confirm it, but it should still
- 43:28Speaker 2: be for Wednesday the night. Maybe it was on a
- 43:29Speaker 2: hole because I told them we're not doing it until
- 43:31Speaker 2: he's able to watch the movie the way we're supposed
- 43:33Speaker 2: to watch the movie. So I put it as a
- 43:35Speaker 2: hole in my head of like, we're not doing it
- 43:36Speaker 2: if it's not going to be done the way it
- 43:37Speaker 2: needs to be done. Okay, then update, So let me
- 43:39Speaker 2: update and find out you have a good But now
- 43:41Speaker 2: that you've seen the film, I can move forward.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I watched the whole thing. Go home, okay, yeah, go home.
- 43:46Speaker 5: Deal with your truck.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Yeah, So what it happened was and this is not
- 43:51Speaker 1: on Scuba. But I never agree to to watch a
- 43:55Speaker 1: movie to interview somebody one because I don't want to
- 43:58Speaker 1: get two and a half hours. Like, I'm happy to
- 44:00Speaker 1: intervie if I want to interview somebody, I just I'm like,
- 44:02Speaker 1: I'm so interested in the project or the process or
- 44:06Speaker 1: what they've done before. And so Mike the director, is
- 44:09Speaker 1: he the guy that did Black Panther?
- 44:10Speaker 8: Yeah, and he did Creed.
- 44:11Speaker 5: Yeah. I love that movie.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Oh. So he's like, legit, I don't know enough about movies.
- 44:15Speaker 1: All I thought was, Hey, I think that's a Black
- 44:16Speaker 1: Panther guy.
- 44:17Speaker 8: He's one of my favorite directors.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Did he write Black Panther?
- 44:20Speaker 12: Yes, and he's writing this. He wrote the second one too,
- 44:22Speaker 12: and he's doing a third, so big deal.
- 44:26Speaker 5: Awesome.
- 44:27Speaker 1: And so they say, will you interview him? I'm like sure,
- 44:30Speaker 1: they could be pretty cool. First I say, what if
- 44:32Speaker 1: we let movie Mike interview him? We play some clips
- 44:34Speaker 1: and they're like, well, they want a bigger audience and
- 44:38Speaker 1: went the main show because they heard on twenty fve
- 44:41Speaker 1: whistles you couldn't get hn lepley. Yeah, yes, yes. So
- 44:48Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, I'm happy to. I think that would
- 44:52Speaker 1: be cool. We're in. And so they say, but you
- 44:55Speaker 1: have to watch the movie. And I don't like setting
- 44:59Speaker 1: that precedent. It's not eve about watching a movie. It's
- 45:01Speaker 1: just I don't want to say the president of I
- 45:03Speaker 1: must Yeah, no, I got it. Taking a whole season
- 45:05Speaker 1: of a show in order to talk to. So I said,
- 45:09Speaker 1: let me think about it. And it was also a
- 45:13Speaker 1: horror movie. It's called Sinners. I don't like scarny movies.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, So I'm like, you know this big deal,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I'll do it. Send me the movie, and I get
- 45:26Speaker 1: screener stuff quite frequently, Mike, did you did you get
- 45:29Speaker 1: a screener?
- 45:30Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 45:30Speaker 1: Did you watch it?
- 45:30Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 45:31Speaker 1: Did it say Scuba Steve across the front of it
- 45:33Speaker 1: massive letters?
- 45:33Speaker 8: They said my name on it?
- 45:34Speaker 1: Oh? Well, mine said Scuba Steve on a massive letters
- 45:37Speaker 1: in front of the whole thing, the whole movie. Yeah.
- 45:39Speaker 1: And not only that, that's not even the most annoying
- 45:41Speaker 1: part of it.
- 45:42Speaker 10: Hey, how can you enjoy it like that?
- 45:44Speaker 1: You can't? Do you just think about Scuba Steve the
- 45:45Speaker 1: whole time, And if I watched it now, I don't
- 45:47Speaker 1: think that's a keyboard that I couldn't get from Scuba
- 45:50Speaker 1: Steve gesus. So the whole time, Scuba Steve's across and
- 45:55Speaker 1: I can't even it's not even full screen. So I
- 45:57Speaker 1: tell my wife, Hey, we need to watch this movie,
- 46:01Speaker 1: and she's like, a movie You're not a movie guy.
- 46:02Speaker 1: I'm like, I know, I'm gonna do it for work,
- 46:05Speaker 1: and she's like, what president is that? That's that? I know?
- 46:08Speaker 1: I know. So we try to watch it and I
- 46:11Speaker 1: pull it up and I log into the account because
- 46:13Speaker 1: there's an app and then there's a log in and
- 46:15Speaker 1: a password, and so I log into this account and
- 46:17Speaker 1: it says Centers and I'm like, boom, let's go and
- 46:21Speaker 1: hit play. And then I do screen mirror and I
- 46:22Speaker 1: get up on the TV and the TV goes will
- 46:24Speaker 1: not it's not allowed to screen mirror illegal of course, weird,
- 46:28Speaker 1: and so I had scoob up. I'm like, yeah, I
- 46:29Speaker 1: can't screen mirror this. I'm not watching this something on
- 46:31Speaker 1: my phone. Two and a half hour movie on my phone.
- 46:35Speaker 1: You're out of your mind. And he goes, well, you
- 46:39Speaker 1: can either watch it on your phone, which is I
- 46:43Speaker 1: can see where that would be difficult, or why don't
- 46:46Speaker 1: you have read come over to your house and take
- 46:48Speaker 1: a computer and hardwired into your television. Wow, And I go,
- 46:52Speaker 1: I don't have the wires. And two our televisions are
- 46:56Speaker 1: all mounted on a wall. We don't have a single
- 46:57Speaker 1: television that has any sort of stand anything it's on
- 47:01Speaker 1: to put a computer next to it. Even if we
- 47:02Speaker 1: had the wires. I'm like, impossible to do, so just
- 47:07Speaker 1: not going to be able to watch it, and he's like, yeah,
- 47:10Speaker 1: but sales sold it. And I said, but this wasn't
- 47:13Speaker 1: the plan, Like it was never relayed to me that
- 47:15Speaker 1: I needed to do this in order to do it.
- 47:18Speaker 1: And so I'm watching a bunch of White Lotus on
- 47:22Speaker 1: my iPad because I'm trying to catch my wife, and
- 47:26Speaker 1: I think, if I'm okay with watching White Lotus on
- 47:29Speaker 1: my iPad, I can watch this movie that's two and
- 47:31Speaker 1: a half hours in thirty five to forty minute clips
- 47:36Speaker 1: while I'm on the treadmill because that's where I was
- 47:38Speaker 1: watching White Loatus. I'll just get on and just walk
- 47:40Speaker 1: or just jog a little and then just you know,
- 47:46Speaker 1: rally through White Lotus. So I turned this movie on
- 47:49Speaker 1: my iPad and it's just bigging out where I'm not annoyed,
- 47:52Speaker 1: but it doesn't even cover the whole screen. It's still
- 47:54Speaker 1: like in the iPad, it's still like that version where
- 47:57Speaker 1: it's what's it called windowed, where it like it's not
- 48:01Speaker 1: even windowed. But even though the whole screen is taken up,
- 48:04Speaker 1: the quarter of the top and quarter of the bottom
- 48:06Speaker 1: is still black.
- 48:07Speaker 12: Yeah, yes, it's because they filmed it for Imax, So
- 48:10Speaker 12: it actually goes back and forth.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Between like I have an Imax, I was gonna watch
- 48:14Speaker 1: on my phone.
- 48:14Speaker 4: You have an iPad, yad, and so I'm watching it
- 48:20Speaker 4: on my iPad and Michael B.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Jordan is in it and he plays twins, and the
- 48:27Speaker 1: genre was described as horror, and I don't want to
- 48:30Speaker 1: watch horror. But then I started to talk to myself
- 48:32Speaker 1: and go, well, I watch zombie stuff. And how I
- 48:35Speaker 1: justify that is I justify it by going, well, this
- 48:38Speaker 1: could actually happen one day. Therefore it feels like it's
- 48:41Speaker 1: not as I don't like Freddy Krueger. I never watched Jason,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I never watched Candy Man, so I don't do that crap.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I don't like jump scares do it. So it's been
- 48:50Speaker 1: such a process to get here. But I tell myself,
- 48:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch the first forty minutes, and if I
- 48:55Speaker 1: don't like the first forty minutes, I just lie and
- 48:57Speaker 1: say I watch the whole thing because they're not gonna
- 48:59Speaker 1: talk about the end of the movie anyway. And you
- 49:01Speaker 1: watched it, right, Mike, I did. I don't even know
- 49:03Speaker 1: what I can say about the plot because are they
- 49:05Speaker 1: keeping some of the plot back.
- 49:06Speaker 7: The thing is they.
- 49:07Speaker 12: Kind of are, but it's also like a part of
- 49:09Speaker 12: the horror element that they talk about.
- 49:12Speaker 8: So it's it's an interesting way.
- 49:14Speaker 1: What's the movie about, Mike?
- 49:15Speaker 12: It is about these two twins, Smokestack Twins, Smoking Stack,
- 49:19Speaker 12: Smoking Stack, both pop about Michael B.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Jordan, and they come home.
- 49:21Speaker 12: From they were in Chicago and now they're trying to
- 49:23Speaker 12: start like this juke box joint where it's just people
- 49:26Speaker 12: going and hanging out and then some freaky.
- 49:28Speaker 5: Stuff happens takes place in like the oldest.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Nineteen thirties, got it in the Delta, and it's blues music.
- 49:35Speaker 1: It reminds me very like Robert Johnson Old to sold
- 49:37Speaker 1: of the Devil type stuff. Like that's kind of the vibe,
- 49:40Speaker 1: kind of the vibe of what it's about. Kind of
- 49:43Speaker 1: h So, should I say nothing else about the movie?
- 49:46Speaker 12: I mean I was watching like the premiere of it,
- 49:48Speaker 12: and like Michael B. Jordan says it, so like if
- 49:51Speaker 12: he says it, is it fine.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Hailey Steinfeld's in it, Josh Allen's wife or fiance. Yeah,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I think she's the only white person in the whole movie.
- 50:00Speaker 8: Yeah, that's kind of a plot point.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Yeah, And so what do you think about a movie, Mike.
- 50:05Speaker 8: I enjoyed it. I like his work.
- 50:07Speaker 12: I liked the blending of different genres. It kind of
- 50:09Speaker 12: felt like three different movies in one. So I had
- 50:12Speaker 12: a good time watching it.
- 50:13Speaker 8: And I think the.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Level of horror, it's like bloody and a little.
- 50:18Speaker 8: Bit disturbing if you're not used to horror.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I watched I was gonna do forty five minutes. I
- 50:24Speaker 1: ended up watching like an hour and twenty the first
- 50:26Speaker 1: time on the treadmill.
- 50:28Speaker 5: YEP.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Nice, And then later that afternoon night I was like, ah,
- 50:33Speaker 1: I've kind of into it, so I finished it. So
- 50:34Speaker 1: I watched the whole movie again. Not a horror guy
- 50:39Speaker 1: or horror guy correct, it sounds similar, clear good. I
- 50:45Speaker 1: liked it. I think if I liked horror movies, I
- 50:47Speaker 1: would have liked it a whole lot more. And it
- 50:49Speaker 1: wasn't classic jump scared. There were a couple of those, yeah,
- 50:54Speaker 1: but it wasn't what I would have thought was like
- 50:57Speaker 1: an eighties or nineties horror movie, where's ah crap out
- 51:00Speaker 1: of places. I would give it four steal guitars, and
- 51:12Speaker 1: not even steal. I would give it four blues guitars
- 51:16Speaker 1: out of five. There you go, and I think if
- 51:18Speaker 1: you like horror movies, you probably give it more.
- 51:19Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm a little higher than you had to go
- 51:21Speaker 12: four point five out of five.
- 51:22Speaker 5: Wow, pretty good, right?
- 51:24Speaker 9: Is it more of like a bloody horror? I don't
- 51:26Speaker 9: want to say, because.
- 51:28Speaker 1: When I looked it up, the things I was seeing
- 51:30Speaker 1: in the movie wasn't really what was happening in Like
- 51:34Speaker 1: they were just so secretive when reading about the plot. Yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 1: like rotten tomatoes it written wise, they don't say anything.
- 51:40Speaker 12: If you watch the trailer, there's some stuff in there,
- 51:42Speaker 12: but as far as like what they're promoting it as,
- 51:44Speaker 12: they don't really say what happens in the second and
- 51:46Speaker 12: third act.
- 51:47Speaker 1: But I would I jumped thirteen hoops to watch that
- 51:50Speaker 1: stupid thing on my iPad. It has nothing to do
- 51:52Speaker 1: with the movie or the director, but with Scuba Steve again.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Bring us back to watch the movie with his name
- 52:00Speaker 4: on the screen the whole time, the whole time.
- 52:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 12: I do this all the time, and every studio does
- 52:07Speaker 12: it differently. Some people you can mirror from your iPad,
- 52:09Speaker 12: no problem, but some people is just so locked down.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I we and then have Read come over
- 52:15Speaker 1: and build a contraption to hot wired into my television.
- 52:17Speaker 1: He was like, just have Read come over, so watch.
- 52:21Speaker 1: I think people will like it though, Oh yeah, I
- 52:22Speaker 1: think it's gonna crush if you're mildly interested in horror movies.
- 52:28Speaker 1: It didn't feel Freddy Jasony to me. It felt a
- 52:31Speaker 1: little mix of like what I think a horror movie
- 52:33Speaker 1: is versus what I like.
- 52:34Speaker 12: Yeah, I think you're When you think of horror, you
- 52:37Speaker 12: think of like nineties and two thousand Slashers. I think
- 52:39Speaker 12: it has evalt since then. There's this level of modern horror,
- 52:41Speaker 12: like you like the Jordan Peele stuff, right, that stuff
- 52:43Speaker 12: is horror, like get Out?
- 52:45Speaker 1: Man, it sounds like horror, doesn't it. Yeah?
- 52:47Speaker 6: Horror?
- 52:48Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah. I saw a couple of those. I
- 52:51Speaker 1: saw get Out. I liked that a lot.
- 52:52Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, get Out.
- 52:53Speaker 1: I saw them one with the scissors too. What was
- 52:54Speaker 1: that one that was us? That was good too.
- 52:57Speaker 12: He's doing a new one that's coming out later this
- 52:59Speaker 12: year that sports base football.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. Or like a guy gets to go train
- 53:03Speaker 1: with like his idol quarterback or something, right.
- 53:06Speaker 4: I don't understand how that guy can be so funny
- 53:08Speaker 4: and then direct those scary movies, like.
- 53:10Speaker 1: How can I be so good in the morning talking
- 53:12Speaker 1: about music and then sit here and do sports exactly?
- 53:17Speaker 1: He's watch and I'm so good. John Lepley doesn't even
- 53:20Speaker 1: know who I am. Reid's never seen Rudy or Field
- 53:25Speaker 1: of Dreams.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Speaking of movies, Eddie ridiculous, Like we were just talking
- 53:29Speaker 4: and like a dude like Rudy. He's like, I've never
- 53:31Speaker 4: seen it. You've never seen Rudy.
- 53:32Speaker 1: He's also never heard of Long December.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Correct, you never seen Field of Dreams. I guess the
- 53:36Speaker 4: only sports dreams the movie he's ever seen is Radio.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like Rudy is crazy.
- 53:42Speaker 8: You haven't seen it.
- 53:43Speaker 10: I've never seen Rudy.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I can Field the Dreams older than Rudy, but amazing.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I'm not arguing how good it is, but I'm saying
- 53:51Speaker 1: in football much more popular than baseball. Yeah, so those
- 53:54Speaker 1: two elements, and Rudy is still brought up in in
- 53:57Speaker 1: in pop culture all the time.
- 53:59Speaker 10: I guess that shows you how much I was not
- 54:01Speaker 10: interested in sports.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I can get you a screener of Rudy now, yeah, yeah, yes,
- 54:11Speaker 1: you watch it on your phone.
- 54:13Speaker 10: It's just Scuba Steve huge letters. Many they're locking the
- 54:17Speaker 10: show down. Still, that's crazy, dude.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I so pissed when I finally decided I'm gonna do
- 54:24Speaker 1: it on iPad. Fine, and then it's only like quarter
- 54:27Speaker 1: screened with Scuba Steve letters over the entire thing.
- 54:30Speaker 10: You could have put it on the golf simulator that's
- 54:32Speaker 10: connected to your computer.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I couldn't have done that on the treadmill.
- 54:35Speaker 7: Oh no, you would have been awesome.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Read you have to watch, Rudy. I'll watch it, yeah
- 54:40Speaker 1: before I'm gonna say Thursday.
- 54:43Speaker 6: Okay, I watched Man on the Moon.
- 54:46Speaker 5: There we go, did you Yeah?
- 54:48Speaker 8: I watched it.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Did you review it though? Yeah? Well, I wrote some
- 54:51Speaker 1: notes down on my phone. I know I'm saying, do
- 54:52Speaker 1: we review it here?
- 54:53Speaker 6: No?
- 54:54Speaker 1: Everybody of all time.
- 54:55Speaker 6: I know, Rememory, you told me Casey and you guys
- 54:57Speaker 6: gotta watch that one.
- 54:58Speaker 1: I didn't want to push. I don't know when you
- 54:59Speaker 1: guys will be done.
- 54:59Speaker 11: With it, y.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I watched it, okay, Yeah, so let me
- 55:02Speaker 1: pull up my notes real quick.
- 55:03Speaker 5: Oh you're official review?
- 55:04Speaker 1: Well, because I brought it in the ball too, right, I
- 55:06Speaker 1: brought in the ball and that's a Jerry Lawler Baseball
- 55:10Speaker 1: that he signed to Andy Kaufman. And so I also
- 55:13Speaker 1: have a note Andy Coffin wrote to himself at my house.
- 55:15Speaker 10: Yeah, that's cool.
- 55:16Speaker 1: That is like, hey, you know when you have a
- 55:19Speaker 1: down day, this is how I gotta get through it.
- 55:20Speaker 1: And so I have that at my house.
- 55:21Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 55:22Speaker 1: I'm a big Andy Coffman fan. And so we were talking
- 55:25Speaker 1: about movies. That's my favorite movie ever. And they didn't
- 55:28Speaker 1: know much about Andy Kauffman, and I said, oh, watch this,
- 55:30Speaker 1: but Casey or Kevin had seen the documentary about making
- 55:33Speaker 1: the movie, but just not the movie.
- 55:34Speaker 9: Yeah, I saw the documentary, the Jim Carrey documentary anything.
- 55:37Speaker 6: Oh yeah, it's a little backwards.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's going. I think I'm gonna do Godfather too.
- 55:42Speaker 1: But you've not seen one.
- 55:43Speaker 9: But at that point, I literally had no idea who
- 55:45Speaker 9: Andy Coffman was. Okay, so when I watched that, you
- 55:49Speaker 9: have your review up. So now I had the review up.
- 55:51Speaker 9: First of all, I've never even seen TAXI don't even know.
- 55:55Speaker 1: You wouldn't unless you're a Nick at Night fan because
- 55:57Speaker 1: it was on before any of us were born, was
- 56:00Speaker 1: like the seventies. I guess maybe Eddie was not, but
- 56:04Speaker 1: it was a massive television show in the seventies, primetime sitcom.
- 56:08Speaker 9: Okay, And then second of all, I'm actually happy I
- 56:12Speaker 9: didn't know anything about Andy Kaufman because as the movie's
- 56:15Speaker 9: going along and you know who he is, who he is,
- 56:17Speaker 9: where he takes bits and just to another level and
- 56:20Speaker 9: basically it's living him out in real life.
- 56:22Speaker 6: You don't know what's real and what's not.
- 56:24Speaker 9: I didn't know throughout the whole movie if he was dying,
- 56:26Speaker 9: if he wasn't dying, if he was this, if he
- 56:28Speaker 9: was that. So I thought that movie made the movie
- 56:30Speaker 9: a lot better from my perspective. And honestly, the movie
- 56:34Speaker 9: was awesome. The movie it was amazing. Yeah, really really good.
- 56:38Speaker 9: The acting is good, Danny de Vito's hilarious. Everything about
- 56:41Speaker 9: it was really really good.
- 56:43Speaker 5: Do you know who his girl is in the movie?
- 56:46Speaker 6: Like as an actress?
- 56:49Speaker 5: No, that's a trip.
- 56:51Speaker 6: Try to look it up.
- 56:53Speaker 4: Who Courtney Cox? I don't know Cornell Courtney Love forty Love.
- 56:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you know he doesn't know who she is?
- 56:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but think that's why he's like, wouldn't care. So
- 57:02Speaker 1: Courtney Love was one in hold late singer of Hole,
- 57:05Speaker 1: but she was Kurt Cobain's wife from Nirvana.
- 57:07Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I did not know that.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, but you like the movie.
- 57:12Speaker 9: I really really really liked it. Like, I'm honestly upset
- 57:14Speaker 9: with myself. I've never seen that movie.
- 57:16Speaker 1: What do you think, Casey?
- 57:18Speaker 7: So I think I actually saw this movie because it
- 57:20Speaker 7: came out in ninety nine, so I think I might
- 57:22Speaker 7: have seen it, but I completely don't remember any of it.
- 57:24Speaker 7: So I'm sorry.
- 57:25Speaker 5: I have to have to rewatch.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Oh you didn't watch it yet?
- 57:28Speaker 11: No?
- 57:28Speaker 1: Oh got it?
- 57:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 57:29Speaker 1: Okay, Well then you're like Reid, You're not the guy
- 57:31Speaker 1: I like. Yeah, I thought he was, Like I might
- 57:34Speaker 1: have seen it already. So when I watched it again,
- 57:38Speaker 1: when did Rudy come out?
- 57:41Speaker 10: Oh, ninety three, you're gonna love it all right?
- 57:44Speaker 1: When were you born ninety six? It's crazy to think
- 57:47Speaker 1: you weren't born and Rudy came out. Not that I
- 57:49Speaker 1: even remember Rudy at the theaters, because I don't. I think
- 57:51Speaker 1: I watched it way later too. I didn't go to movies.
- 57:53Speaker 1: You don't watch that, but that you weren't born when
- 57:57Speaker 1: Rudy was born? The movie.
- 58:00Speaker 10: I grew up on the Disney specials Man in two thousands,
- 58:03Speaker 10: all those Disney but.
- 58:04Speaker 1: One does keep you from knowing the overs. No, No,
- 58:06Speaker 1: for sure, that's like Scuba Go one. I couldn't email
- 58:08Speaker 1: you about the keyboard because I had limbs on my truck,
- 58:11Speaker 1: and I'm like, you sent other emails about work. You know.
- 58:16Speaker 4: You know a football movie that I loved that I'd
- 58:19Speaker 4: love to watch again just for funds of the program.
- 58:21Speaker 4: I don't watched that movie over a long time.
- 58:23Speaker 1: I'm afraid to watch it again because we watched it
- 58:25Speaker 1: so many times. We watched it in play high school
- 58:27Speaker 1: football every day because seventh periods when football started, but
- 58:32Speaker 1: anyone that was off six when they just turned it
- 58:34Speaker 1: on every day six period, sixth periods, And so I
- 58:37Speaker 1: have fond memories of let's back and watching the program.
- 58:42Speaker 1: But if I go back now, I bet it doesn't
- 58:44Speaker 1: hold up.
- 58:44Speaker 5: You don't think so.
- 58:45Speaker 11: No.
- 58:45Speaker 6: I watched it like five years ago for the first time.
- 58:47Speaker 6: I was like, this is bad.
- 58:48Speaker 5: Oh man.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Also, they cut a scene from the theater to when
- 58:52Speaker 1: they actually put it out on I guess VHS at first.
- 58:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I never saw that scene because.
- 58:57Speaker 1: In the theater the team to bond they all aid
- 59:00Speaker 1: in the street on the yellow line to be like
- 59:02Speaker 1: we can do this together. Yeah thing, and and so
- 59:05Speaker 1: all these cars are flying by on whatever. Nobody dies
- 59:07Speaker 1: in the movie, but then kids started to do it. It
- 59:09Speaker 1: can't get run over. Oh jeez, they took that scene
- 59:12Speaker 1: out of the movie. H yeah. So all right, there
- 59:15Speaker 1: you go. I think that's it. I have nothing else,
- 59:21Speaker 1: thank you.
- 59:22Speaker 5: There you go.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'm hungry.
- 59:26Speaker 5: That's some mind.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Have therapy to go to.
- 59:28Speaker 4: Are you going to bring up the whole thing about
- 59:32Speaker 4: the Arkansas Travelers go?
- 59:35Speaker 5: And then the Scuba Steve thing.
- 59:36Speaker 1: The scuba Steve thing is every day, right. I mean
- 59:38Speaker 1: that that's not a big deal. That's just uncharacteristic. But
- 59:42Speaker 1: he did pivot hard out of it and be like
- 59:44Speaker 1: limbs on my truck. And I'm like what you emid
- 59:45Speaker 1: me too other times about work that afterwork, like just
- 59:47Speaker 1: just say what's up? We get keyboard. It's what have
- 59:49Speaker 1: been one of the coolest things about life. The other thing, though,
- 59:53Speaker 1: is like that I battle that every day. I find
- 59:55Speaker 1: a way to find how I'm being done wrong every
- 59:57Speaker 1: day to continue to find and prove otherwise I shouldn't
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: do that. Say it like that to your therapist.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: See what he says.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Well, you're good, you can leave. Do you know how
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: therapy works? No, I'll talk about it.
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: It's about talking it out. You win.
