- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Jadge nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It is another episode of Scotty and Abbey Unfiltered. Now,
- 0:07Speaker 2: this is gonna be fun because you are now seeing
- 0:09Speaker 2: the behind the scenes of how anxious Abby and I
- 0:11Speaker 2: get when we go out to a new event.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Social anxiety is not afraid of us. We were afraid
- 0:16Speaker 1: of it.
- 0:16Speaker 2: So we're literally using this opportunity to have a little
- 0:20Speaker 2: in on a new club that we want to check out.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And what's the club, Abby? It is run club for
- 0:26Speaker 1: motherfuckers who don't run.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And that's why we actually wanted to just jump right
- 0:30Speaker 2: in by bringing on the founder of this club on
- 0:34Speaker 2: the podcast. And so La, Welcome to Scotty and Abbey Unfiltered.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Thanks for taking time out of your morning to chat
- 0:41Speaker 2: with us.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Absolutely, I appreciate you guys for having me.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Man, this is going to be super exciting because Abby
- 0:46Speaker 2: and I have been talking about joining mfors that don't
- 0:48Speaker 2: run for a while. I think if you've been listening
- 0:50Speaker 2: to the podcast, you've heard us talk about it, probably
- 0:52Speaker 2: an entire month ago. We saw that you all saw
- 0:55Speaker 2: it on your Instagram. We appreciate the repost, but we
- 0:59Speaker 2: did want to have like a little bit of an
- 1:00Speaker 2: inside of like what to expect?
- 1:02Speaker 1: What is this? Some people say cult? Would you say
- 1:06Speaker 1: this is a cult?
- 1:07Speaker 2: In La Listen?
- 1:09Speaker 3: I funny, you know if I had somebody send me
- 1:12Speaker 3: a podcast clip and then I had somebody send me
- 1:15Speaker 3: the cult video on the Instagram reel and take talk,
- 1:19Speaker 3: it made me laugh though, one hundred percent. But no,
- 1:21Speaker 3: you know, it's it's all about just getting out there
- 1:24Speaker 3: and you know, trying some new It's been pretty cool.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I feel like we've kind of become the thing for
- 1:30Speaker 3: people to do on Wednesdays, and especially the people that
- 1:33Speaker 3: just moved to Tampa. With how many people, you know,
- 1:35Speaker 3: move every week. That's what I've learned is people just
- 1:39Speaker 3: come here, check out some new locations around the city
- 1:41Speaker 3: and meet new people.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy, Like, you guys are so popular. Every
- 1:45Speaker 2: time I look on Instagram, I see everybody I follow,
- 1:48Speaker 2: They're like, oh, Wednesday night and they got their outfit on.
- 1:51Speaker 2: They're taking a stroll down the street with this massive group.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, that's that's a hell of a group
- 1:56Speaker 2: right there.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It's a posse. So when did you start this, how
- 2:00Speaker 1: many people did you start with? And approximately how many
- 2:03Speaker 1: people come every week, like, when we show up tomorrow,
- 2:06Speaker 1: what kind of crowd should we expect?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Absolutely, so started mid June, and it originally threw with
- 2:15Speaker 3: like mid twenties and it was just you know, a
- 2:19Speaker 3: couple friends. But then honestly we kind of had some
- 2:22Speaker 3: random people show up as well on week one and
- 2:25Speaker 3: you know those people I definitely still talk to this day,
- 2:28Speaker 3: and you know, they helped me out here and there
- 2:30Speaker 3: as well with you know, controlling this thing. As far
- 2:34Speaker 3: as the amount of people, it definitely fluctuates depending on
- 2:38Speaker 3: the location, the weather, you know, daylight savings, right, yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 3: you try.
- 2:42Speaker 2: To be humble right now in La just I know
- 2:44Speaker 2: they be honest. Over under one hundred.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Over one hundred for sure, It'll always be over one hundred.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It will always be Oh boy, does that way let
- 2:56Speaker 2: me abby? Does that make you more excited or more
- 2:58Speaker 2: anxious to think of that many people?
- 3:00Speaker 1: It makes me willy? Nov this a lot of people.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Stott loves a crowd. I do.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I love entertaining a crowd, but walking up into a
- 3:08Speaker 2: new crowd, I think this is what's cool. Because there's
- 3:11Speaker 2: been so many different clubs that have popped up, running clubs,
- 3:13Speaker 2: walking clubs and why I wanted to talk to U
- 3:15Speaker 2: la is because you could give us the rundown of
- 3:18Speaker 2: like what somebody could expect when they're walking up into
- 3:21Speaker 2: this club, because is it the same group of people
- 3:24Speaker 2: every time or is it a whole bunch of new
- 3:26Speaker 2: people that you've noticed coming, Because if you're new, it's
- 3:29Speaker 2: nice to know that there's other new people there as well,
- 3:31Speaker 2: Like what are you getting the gauge on every Wednesday?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah? Absolutely, So it's both. We have a good amount
- 3:38Speaker 3: of consistent you know, just people that are coming that
- 3:41Speaker 3: I've now you know, know their names and their faces, right,
- 3:44Speaker 3: they've been coming every week. But I've also recently been
- 3:48Speaker 3: putting like a lot of money into ad spend right
- 3:50Speaker 3: on social media to continue attract all the new people
- 3:54Speaker 3: that are moving here, like what I was saying earlier.
- 3:56Speaker 3: So it's it's truly a good mix. And in the
- 3:59Speaker 3: beginning too, I make sure to ask, you know, hey,
- 4:01Speaker 3: how many people is at your first time here? You know,
- 4:03Speaker 3: everybody raises their hands, so I get a good gauge
- 4:05Speaker 3: for that, and then I start to even ask how
- 4:07Speaker 3: many people have come by themselves, and you know, every
- 4:10Speaker 3: week we get at least like fifteen to twenty people
- 4:13Speaker 3: that you know, come by themselves and truly just come
- 4:15Speaker 3: and meet new people.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Dang good for them showing up. See, that's what I
- 4:19Speaker 2: was trying to tell Abby. I was like, yeah, just
- 4:20Speaker 2: show up. She's like, absolutely not.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Well, I thought about going by myself one week. I
- 4:25Speaker 1: think it was I think y'all were at like a
- 4:26Speaker 1: pizza place or whatever, and I was walking on Base
- 4:29Speaker 1: short and I was like, you know, it would just
- 4:30Speaker 1: be so easy for me to just take another twenty
- 4:32Speaker 1: minute walk. I could show up, maybe make a new friend.
- 4:35Speaker 1: But it's really intimidating going by yourself. So I love
- 4:38Speaker 1: that you ask who's here by yourself because they feel
- 4:41Speaker 1: like those people will then find each other and create
- 4:43Speaker 1: a little group.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah, actutely and honestly, it's one of the things I'm
- 4:48Speaker 3: working on right. It's still a new thing, so it's
- 4:50Speaker 3: only been since June. So one of the biggest things
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'm trying to work and I'm I'll take your guys feedback.
- 4:55Speaker 3: You know, after two is being able to intermingle you know,
- 4:58Speaker 3: people a little more too, and you know, get more
- 5:02Speaker 3: people to meet each other, even if it's not just organic, right,
- 5:05Speaker 3: because some people are a little shy. That's cool, but
- 5:08Speaker 3: definitely you don't want to continue to grow it and
- 5:10Speaker 3: evolve it and make everybody feel comfortable.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it seems like you all do a
- 5:13Speaker 2: good job because that's why it keeps growing as people
- 5:16Speaker 2: are finding their comfort and their community in this club.
- 5:20Speaker 2: What is the vibe on let's just hypothetically on singles
- 5:25Speaker 2: and dating. Is there like a dating scene that's been
- 5:28Speaker 2: happening with your club slash cult?
- 5:30Speaker 1: Scotty's asking for himself, No, wow, you.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Know, just for the people that are looking to you know.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Actually side note, I talked to so many friends now.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I was just talking to my brother. He's like, man,
- 5:39Speaker 2: I don't even know, you know, what the right place
- 5:41Speaker 2: I could meet somebody that I'm interested in. I was like,
- 5:43Speaker 2: you got to just try these events because yeah, you
- 5:45Speaker 2: can go out on a Friday night at a bar,
- 5:47Speaker 2: but it's really loud and it's kind of hard to
- 5:49Speaker 2: have a good conversation. This is a walking club. What
- 5:52Speaker 2: a great time to have a conversation. You're walking, you
- 5:54Speaker 2: look over, you see a dolphin. You keep talking.
- 5:57Speaker 1: What a bond? So like?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Is that you notice like a lot of people potentially
- 6:03Speaker 2: getting a little relational.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Hell.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I would say it's like anywhere being in the wild,
- 6:14Speaker 3: you know in Tampa, where there's going to be a
- 6:15Speaker 3: lot of people. Some of them may be singles, some
- 6:17Speaker 3: of them not. I take it as I never want
- 6:20Speaker 3: to push that narrative, right because I know there's some
- 6:23Speaker 3: events that they are singles events, right, and those work.
- 6:26Speaker 3: That's fun. I like it to just be an open environment.
- 6:29Speaker 3: You know, people want to come. You know, maybe they
- 6:31Speaker 3: organically do meet somebody, maybe they don't. It's just, you know,
- 6:34Speaker 3: more about just being social and just letting it kind
- 6:36Speaker 3: of happen.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I like that, Scott, Just like with all those shirtless humans,
- 6:39Speaker 1: there's no way people are not.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I know people are looking for other ways to find
- 6:44Speaker 2: that special someone. And I'm telling you right now, like
- 6:46Speaker 2: love is in the air at these run clubs. It's ridiculous.
- 6:49Speaker 1: We're gonna find out. I think we're gonna walk in
- 6:52Speaker 1: and we're gonna smell the.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Oh my god, I try to smell them.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Desire La. Are you from Tampa born and raised or
- 7:01Speaker 1: did you move here?
- 7:02Speaker 3: No? So, I was born in Queens, New York, and
- 7:05Speaker 3: then I grew up in Orlando. For the most part,
- 7:07Speaker 3: I went to UCF and everything over there, and I've
- 7:10Speaker 3: been here for like five years now.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Nice.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Okay, so you're the founder that actually decided to kick
- 7:14Speaker 2: this thing off, and I will say, man, I applaud
- 7:17Speaker 2: you for starting it in June to seeing what it
- 7:20Speaker 2: has grown to, it's very impressive. And if you're talking
- 7:24Speaker 2: to somebody right now, and it might not be for
- 7:26Speaker 2: mf ors that don't run, but maybe it's just for
- 7:28Speaker 2: any club in general, like, what do you like to
- 7:31Speaker 2: say to people that are like on the fence about going.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Yeah, one, I appreciate it. Thank you. It's been a
- 7:37Speaker 3: lot of fun to learn, and you know, to to
- 7:39Speaker 3: build this thing up to words something that everybody enjoys.
- 7:42Speaker 3: And if people are just deciding to come or not,
- 7:45Speaker 3: I would say, I mean give it a chance. You know,
- 7:47Speaker 3: you do it one time and pick a location that
- 7:51Speaker 3: you feel like, you know speaks to you, that you
- 7:53Speaker 3: feel like maybe you haven't been to before that you
- 7:55Speaker 3: want to check out and then go from there. And
- 7:58Speaker 3: you know, I'm always around walking making sure I'm interacting
- 8:01Speaker 3: with people, picking up suggestions like that to just make
- 8:04Speaker 3: it a better overall vibe for everybody. So definitely come
- 8:08Speaker 3: check it out.
- 8:08Speaker 1: For sure for the people like me who prefer to
- 8:11Speaker 1: come in prepared. What's a good opening line when you
- 8:15Speaker 1: go to the run club to bump into a group
- 8:18Speaker 1: or to somebody else. What's a good conversation starter at
- 8:21Speaker 1: a run club?
- 8:23Speaker 3: Hey, I came by myself? What's your name?
- 8:26Speaker 1: Classic me overthinking things?
- 8:30Speaker 3: People make tiktoks like where they came by themselves and
- 8:33Speaker 3: just kind of went from there.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like nice hokahs. Where'd you get your shoes?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Nice shortness say, I really like your your aloe said.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Like can I get a discount code? Are you
- 8:42Speaker 2: a fitness influencer? Well that's super sweet? Well, la, I mean,
- 8:45Speaker 2: that's so cool that you're doing something so local and
- 8:48Speaker 2: I'm glad that we get to go check it out
- 8:50Speaker 2: this week. I'm excited. I'm sure it's going to be
- 8:52Speaker 2: a staple that we get to do more and more.
- 8:54Speaker 2: But just keep crushing it, man, Like, we're super excited
- 8:56Speaker 2: to be out there with you.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Thank you, Thank you that you're checking it out and
- 9:01Speaker 3: you're speaking about it, and I definitely look forward to
- 9:03Speaker 3: meeting you guys.
- 9:04Speaker 2: What is the Instagram so we could check you out?
- 9:07Speaker 3: Absolutely? So it's at run club, the number four ms
- 9:11Speaker 3: that don't run.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I love it man anyway. But the last question, how
- 9:15Speaker 1: long is this walk? Like?
- 9:16Speaker 2: I got to make sure I'm about to get my
- 9:17Speaker 2: steps in? How long is the walk?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Oh it's easy, one and a half miles.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Come on now, about to get our steps in? And
- 9:24Speaker 1: then what is it like a little social hour afterwards? Oh?
- 9:27Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, So basically we send everybody off. I do
- 9:30Speaker 3: like the real runners, you know, and then I do joggers,
- 9:33Speaker 3: and then the last one is the bigger group, the
- 9:35Speaker 3: walking yap crew. So it's real quick one and a
- 9:38Speaker 3: half mile as they come back, and then everybody does
- 9:40Speaker 3: the post run social hour. We have you know, drink specials,
- 9:43Speaker 3: food specials this week? Is that sparkling morph right? So
- 9:46Speaker 3: you got you know some bowling inside of splits fill
- 9:48Speaker 3: everything like that.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I'm excited, Abby, How are you feeling about it?
- 9:52Speaker 1: I'm so ready to mingle Scottie there, you are so
- 9:55Speaker 1: excited stemming with that Aura ring. We're gonna be good. La.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Thank you for taking time out the chat with us.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We'll see you tomorrow, man, Absolutely, I appreciate you both.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Absolutely, see you later, dude, see you so abby. How
- 10:10Speaker 2: are you feeling now that we got to have a
- 10:12Speaker 2: little insider Do you feel like you got all the
- 10:14Speaker 2: answers you needed?
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm excited. I didn't realize it was only one and
- 10:17Speaker 1: a half miles. Yeah, why, I was fully expecting it
- 10:20Speaker 1: to be like a four mile walk and run.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's like a hike. You're gonna be
- 10:25Speaker 2: out there forever, I know.
- 10:26Speaker 1: But I mean, like with all the shirtless dudes, I'm like,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I don't want to see you shirtless. I want to
- 10:30Speaker 1: see you shirtless running and g listen in well.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I think they will be. Luckily, we're about to get
- 10:33Speaker 2: into that hot season where it's like anytime you go outside,
- 10:36Speaker 2: you're gonna be listening. I'm curious, though, do you have
- 10:39Speaker 2: an outfit ready for the run Cult tomorrow?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yeah? I have my aloe set ready to go the
- 10:44Speaker 1: alo set. See, I don't have an alo set.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I don't have any shorts.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Go get one, go to the International Mall.
- 10:51Speaker 2: No, I can't do that and buy a whole outfit
- 10:53Speaker 2: for a club.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah that's what you do.
- 10:54Speaker 2: No, I'm gonna wear I have fabletic shorts and I'll
- 10:56Speaker 2: probably wear a tank top.
- 10:57Speaker 1: What if your wife is there, she might be.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I think my wife would just accept any outfit that
- 11:02Speaker 2: I'm in. She'd be like, man, I like his personality
- 11:04Speaker 2: more than a short.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Don't you think your wife would expect more of you? Scotti? Mmmm,
- 11:08Speaker 1: a well put together outfit, whether it be from Marshalls
- 11:11Speaker 1: or Targe or the Walmart.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I gosh, now I'm gonna start overthinking what I should wear.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I know how am I gonna roll up looking fly
- 11:19Speaker 1: as hell? And then I got raggedy hand next to me.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be a raggedy ass hand.
- 11:25Speaker 2: No, I just gotta be like you know, I'll look good.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I look good. I'm gonna spray to hand. I'm getting
- 11:31Speaker 1: a facial that day.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm gonna get my hair. Dude, I'm
- 11:34Speaker 2: gonna get petticure. I don't know why you do need
- 11:35Speaker 2: to get your hair done easy. I'm gonna look good,
- 11:38Speaker 2: But I might put on a hat put it on backwards.
- 11:42Speaker 2: That's like the douchey Scott.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Look, you gotta do the flat bill hat that all
- 11:44Speaker 1: the tramp of bros do.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I can't do that. You have to I turn into
- 11:47Speaker 2: a straight douche. Like there is a certain look that
- 11:50Speaker 2: when I do it, I'm like, some people will love it,
- 11:55Speaker 2: But I look at me and I'm thinking to myself,
- 11:57Speaker 2: I would fight me to be fair.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Everybody looks like a douche wearing flat bill hat.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Well, I think some people pull it off more than others. Like,
- 12:03Speaker 2: do you have if you want to look like a battie?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Is there something that you wear, something that you a
- 12:09Speaker 2: necessory that you add, Like if I want to look
- 12:11Speaker 2: like the frat dude, bro guy, that's how you know
- 12:15Speaker 2: I'm not one bro guy. I throw on a hat
- 12:18Speaker 2: and I put it on backwards. I can't even take
- 12:20Speaker 2: myself seriously. But if I keep a stern face like
- 12:22Speaker 2: I don't think people think like, oh, I can't fuck
- 12:25Speaker 2: with that guy.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I don't know what the female equivalent of a backwards
- 12:28Speaker 1: hat is, because a backwards hat has the power to
- 12:30Speaker 1: completely change your orders.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you what it is. It's sunglasses.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Sunglasses, but men do that too. What's something exclusively for
- 12:37Speaker 1: women look totally different?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Well, I would say one, y'all sunglasses are different too.
- 12:43Speaker 2: But if you put on like an earring set but
- 12:45Speaker 2: also three like you said, like that that outfit the
- 12:49Speaker 2: what is it a out.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Like a matching set, like an athleisure set, like a
- 12:55Speaker 1: legging and sports broth ye. But I mean I was
- 12:59Speaker 1: walking around Sat Pete today and I was like, I
- 13:01Speaker 1: need to cover up.
- 13:02Speaker 2: That's a fierce look.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That's how I felt. I was like, I'm nude right now.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Well, that's like if you go to crunch, like that's
- 13:08Speaker 2: what everybody's wearing.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I know, and I would say that that makes me
- 13:11Speaker 1: feel a little baddy esque. Yeah, I would feel like
- 13:13Speaker 1: a battie because I guess it's socially acceptable underwear, you
- 13:17Speaker 1: know what I mean, You're just wearing that out and about.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's I like it because I'm like, if
- 13:21Speaker 2: you feel good, like you could literally tell the people that. Like,
- 13:24Speaker 2: I think, we're out on a Friday night in downtown
- 13:26Speaker 2: Saint Pete and everyone's dressed up slightly, I don't think,
- 13:29Speaker 2: compared to what you're expecting abby. But then I see
- 13:33Speaker 2: somebody walk by in their athleisure wear and it's like
- 13:36Speaker 2: the leggings and the tank top and they owned every
- 13:39Speaker 2: effing step. They just walked like they knew people were
- 13:43Speaker 2: appreciating that, and everyone is.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Death dead ass.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yeah. But it's like she knew it too. It's like
- 13:49Speaker 2: she walked and she knew what she was doing. And
- 13:51Speaker 2: to that, I said, I salute you. I want that
- 13:54Speaker 2: kind of confidence in a workout set because right now
- 13:57Speaker 2: it's just a tank top and some shorts.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Yeah, or backwards hat for you.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I can't do it, though, I really can't. I feel
- 14:02Speaker 2: like such a dick.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I really do.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not really, it's not because you're gonna get
- 14:07Speaker 2: the wrong impression. If I did that tomorrow, it would
- 14:09Speaker 2: give an entire different impression of what people would expect
- 14:12Speaker 2: from me.
- 14:12Speaker 1: But that's the thing though. You would approach and people
- 14:14Speaker 1: would be like, oh my god, he's such a douche,
- 14:15Speaker 1: and then you would open your mouth and they go,
- 14:17Speaker 1: oh my god, he's so sweet.
- 14:18Speaker 2: But I don't want somebody to knock me off just
- 14:19Speaker 2: because they think I'm a douche. Like, I want to
- 14:21Speaker 2: be as approachable as possible.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But women kind of like a little douche.
- 14:24Speaker 2: That's where it's so complicated, That's.
- 14:26Speaker 1: What I'm saying. It's like, maybe you shouldn't shy away
- 14:29Speaker 1: from the douche uniform.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Gosh, but then they're gonna hear me talk and they're
- 14:32Speaker 2: like that guy is not a douche, he's a dork
- 14:34Speaker 2: like and then I just completely flip their emotions all around.
- 14:37Speaker 1: No, you're giving them the yes, and you're giving them
- 14:39Speaker 1: two things they wouldn't typically find in that boy. Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and he's kind of nice. It's like salty and sweet. Yeah,
- 14:46Speaker 1: you're like a twigs bar. That's right, a little crunchy,
- 14:48Speaker 1: get a taste, no things. I'm excited. I'm your coworker.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I'm excited. I'm really hoping though, that we walk up
- 14:55Speaker 2: and I see somebody I know so immediately it could
- 14:58Speaker 2: just be an inner, an easy interdut.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I mean, maybe we should post that we're going, and
- 15:02Speaker 1: anybody that follows us is like, oh my god, maybe
- 15:04Speaker 1: I should go because Scott Nabby are going.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I think we'll do that after we post this podcast,
- 15:08Speaker 2: we'll put it up there.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We're going to run club for if I who don't
- 15:12Speaker 1: run that's right.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Is this going to mean that we have to do
- 15:15Speaker 2: more of them? Check out all of them, because we should.
- 15:18Speaker 2: If we're going to talk about one, we should do
- 15:20Speaker 2: the others.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but the other ones are in the morning. This
- 15:22Speaker 1: is like the one that's at night.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Well, they got Panella's run club on like Thursday nights.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Okay, we could do that one.
- 15:26Speaker 2: We got what is the other one that does Saturday mornings. Yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 2: but I like to, oh girl, how late do you sleep?
- 15:32Speaker 2: And I'm very curious.
- 15:34Speaker 1: We'll sleep it until like nine on the weekends. Nine
- 15:36Speaker 1: are times.
- 15:37Speaker 2: See, I can't even do that. I know that's immediately
- 15:39Speaker 2: at seven, as soon as that sun hits my window.
- 15:41Speaker 2: If it's a weekend, I'm like, well, I'm up, even
- 15:43Speaker 2: like if I was up all night, I'm a sleepy
- 15:47Speaker 2: go see get your rest. I can't. I wish I could.
- 15:50Speaker 1: But the nighttime run clubs I'll do.
- 15:53Speaker 2: That's where I'm opposite. I'd rather get up. I'd rather
- 15:55Speaker 2: there be a four am one.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But I mean during the week on a Thursday.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and settled in. So that's why I've never gone
- 16:01Speaker 2: until now. You're the reason I'm going to this. You're welcome,
- 16:04Speaker 2: You're thank you.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Just pushing you out of your comfort zone. Yesterday we
- 16:07Speaker 1: were talking it.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I guess I mean I've been pushing myself out of
- 16:11Speaker 2: my comfort zone in a lot of areas, always beneficial.
- 16:14Speaker 1: How about pushing yourself into the comfort zone or out
- 16:17Speaker 1: of the comfort zone of being in a relationship. What
- 16:19Speaker 1: are you talking about of joining a relationship now, of
- 16:22Speaker 1: being it? No, I mean I'm making a joke that
- 16:26Speaker 1: your comfort zone is to be in a relationship. Oh yes,
- 16:31Speaker 1: not that I'm discouraging you from dating anybody, but I'm
- 16:35Speaker 1: just you know, calling it like, well, yeah, I'm just
- 16:38Speaker 1: being friendly.
- 16:39Speaker 2: We talked about that I'm seeing what I like, and
- 16:42Speaker 2: I've gotten to see a lot that I like. Doesn't
- 16:44Speaker 2: mean i'm dating. This means that i'm seeing.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Oh you're dating, you're not in a relationship. Oh, that's
- 16:50Speaker 1: what we need to talk about. How are you going
- 16:51Speaker 1: to break up with that girl you don't like?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Oh? My god, Actually I think I'm getting ghosted right now.
- 16:55Speaker 1: No, you're nice.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, I'm getting ghosted.
- 16:57Speaker 1: So do you say something to her? Yes? And did
- 16:59Speaker 1: she not respond? Correct? Okay, then you don't need to
- 17:01Speaker 1: do anything. That's what I'm saying. Do you think she
- 17:02Speaker 1: listens to the podcast?
- 17:03Speaker 3: No? I know.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I feel kind of bad. Why because I was not
- 17:07Speaker 1: shitting on her yesterday, but I was making it very
- 17:09Speaker 1: obvious that you'd had no interest in her.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Well, okay, there's a okay, I think we said it
- 17:14Speaker 2: very smoothly yesterday where it's and it's never them. It's
- 17:17Speaker 2: just literally a match that. Yeah, it's a chemistry things.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, because I don't know this girl, I have no no,
- 17:22Speaker 1: I literally have no judgment for this girl. I just
- 17:24Speaker 1: know how you talk about your experiences with her.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Well, I'm not looking for anything serious, or at least
- 17:29Speaker 2: that's what I think.
- 17:30Speaker 1: And she proposed marriage this weekend.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Exactly, and now we're getting married. I had no idea. No,
- 17:36Speaker 2: I wasn't looking for anything serious. But then I also
- 17:38Speaker 2: noticed that I went on another date and immediately I
- 17:40Speaker 2: was like, all of a sudden like considering it, and
- 17:42Speaker 2: I was like, oh Jesus, okay.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So it is literally a chemistry thing. That's the difference.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Like when you feel that way, lean into it. But
- 17:48Speaker 1: if you don't feel that way, then you're just wasting
- 17:50Speaker 1: everyone's time.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Well yeah, but also at the same time, and ah,
- 17:54Speaker 2: this is where you got to examine everything. This is
- 17:57Speaker 2: called overthinking. Where I'm thinking to myself. I said, literally
- 18:01Speaker 2: after my last breakup, I was going to take time
- 18:04Speaker 2: to just enjoy being single, get anything that I needed
- 18:07Speaker 2: out of my system. Sounds weird, don't take it like that,
- 18:11Speaker 2: and then I would look at seriously dating. But then
- 18:14Speaker 2: after you go on an amazing date, which I think
- 18:16Speaker 2: you should do single anyway, you start thinking to yourself, well, shoot,
- 18:22Speaker 2: I think I really like this, but again, not looking
- 18:25Speaker 2: to do anything serious. Soon I'm gonna interest it and
- 18:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna enjoy it, and I'm gonna see where it goes,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and we're gonna be honest and always open about where
- 18:32Speaker 2: we're at. That's the goal. Because I could still get
- 18:35Speaker 2: ghosted by her too.
- 18:37Speaker 1: You could.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I could theoretically, I'm telling you right now, the one
- 18:40Speaker 2: that you say break up with one. There was nothing
- 18:42Speaker 2: ever serious, and I always told her that I wasn't
- 18:45Speaker 2: looking for anything serious.
- 18:46Speaker 1: She liked you though she liked you.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Okay, I guess she's not ghosting me.
- 18:52Speaker 1: She texts you. What did she say?
- 18:54Speaker 2: Actually, I can't say because then it could reveal who
- 18:58Speaker 2: it is if they do.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Listen, Okay, what did this person say?
- 19:01Speaker 2: They didn't say anything.
- 19:02Speaker 1: They did not.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I could show you the message right now, you take
- 19:07Speaker 2: a bite of yogurt. This is why I like the podcast.
- 19:09Speaker 2: It's so casual. The audience demands, okay, don't read the
- 19:11Speaker 2: rest of the back okay, I don't care.
- 19:12Speaker 1: What Wait, were you guys sexty? No, we weren't sexty,
- 19:15Speaker 1: and I don't think so.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Just look at the last message, now I want to
- 19:19Speaker 2: know what. No, don't look at the rest of the messages.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Just look at her response. No, not, Oh my gosh,
- 19:24Speaker 2: just that's the last message. So that's kind of like
- 19:26Speaker 2: a whatever. Right, that's kind of like a that's not
- 19:29Speaker 2: even a response. All right, give it back, you're.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Looking too much. Yeah, No, she gave you the middle finger.
- 19:33Speaker 2: That's exactly what I'm She liked you so.
- 19:35Speaker 1: To fill the audience in. She's definitely a listener. She
- 19:41Speaker 1: definitely listens.
- 19:42Speaker 2: There's no way there's yeah one, h okay, I don't
- 19:47Speaker 2: think so. She would tell me. No, she wanted Actually,
- 19:51Speaker 2: here's the thing about doing this job. And now, I mean,
- 19:53Speaker 2: we could talk about this, and I'm curious on your
- 19:54Speaker 2: side of this, Abbey doing radio, being on a podcast,
- 19:58Speaker 2: being open about my life life has gotten me in
- 20:02Speaker 2: so much trouble in this part of my life of dating,
- 20:05Speaker 2: of starting new relationships, of family relationships. So one, I
- 20:12Speaker 2: don't regret anything that I talk about. I'm an open book.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I always say I'm an open book if you asked
- 20:16Speaker 2: the right question. This is my place to be as
- 20:19Speaker 2: open and honest as possible, because look, at the end
- 20:21Speaker 2: of the day, like it ain't that serious, it's life.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And I could say these things hopefully to the people
- 20:26Speaker 2: that I'm also dating, that if you were to get
- 20:28Speaker 2: in a relationship with me, we don't have to air
- 20:31Speaker 2: out all of our laundry.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But like, it's going to be part of my life
- 20:34Speaker 1: that I share.
- 20:34Speaker 2: You know that my first relationship, I remember we broke
- 20:38Speaker 2: up and she was like, you know, I just really
- 20:40Speaker 2: not really like the career of path that you're going on.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I'm like, there, Jesus, I get that. But like she
- 20:47Speaker 2: was literally with me when when I started this. I
- 20:50Speaker 2: wish that would have been expressed a little earlier. But
- 20:52Speaker 2: I also I revealed so much of our relationship.
- 20:55Speaker 1: What was the most revealing thing you told you?
- 20:57Speaker 4: Oh, I used to air out our huge fights. He's
- 21:00Speaker 4: the biggest fight you guys got in all out.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna air it again. I doubt she listens anymore.
- 21:04Speaker 2: She doesn't know. It doesn't matter. I mean, things have
- 21:06Speaker 2: moved on. She's moved on. It's fine. But she got
- 21:09Speaker 2: a gift once from a guy that we were like,
- 21:11Speaker 2: you know, I was intimidated by and up.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I would still say that to this day because I
- 21:20Speaker 2: asked her about it.
- 21:21Speaker 1: What was the gift? A piece of jewelry? Yeah, that's
- 21:25Speaker 1: like linga Riye. It was like her gift or some
- 21:28Speaker 1: girl gifting you Tommy John's.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 2: And it wasn't necessarily right because at the time she
- 21:33Speaker 2: wasn't living here and I kind of.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Just I was so mad.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Oh my god, like you talk about you don't see
- 21:38Speaker 2: me mad. I was boiling because it was one of
- 21:41Speaker 2: those things where I felt like I was getting gas lit,
- 21:43Speaker 2: where I was like, this is obviously a dude that
- 21:46Speaker 2: likes you, and he's obviously trying to make a move.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Did they date after you broke up? I don't know.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I don't need to know.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I think they screwed.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I don't I don't know.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Maybe they ever screwed. Yeah, probably, I.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Have no idea, because I'll tell you one thing, like,
- 22:00Speaker 2: once we broke up, I'm not really good at being
- 22:02Speaker 2: friends with my exes, and we were going to try that,
- 22:05Speaker 2: but then I saw she went on a date and
- 22:06Speaker 2: I was like, Nope, can't do that. My heart just
- 22:08Speaker 2: broke into two.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Okay, so she didn't like the career path.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, because I would just talk about things. I would
- 22:14Speaker 2: talk about our relationship, I would talk about our fights,
- 22:16Speaker 2: I would talk about things that happened with us, and
- 22:19Speaker 2: not everyone likes that, which is so understandable. I've also
- 22:23Speaker 2: learned I was kind of an idiot back then because
- 22:24Speaker 2: I would just say everything, especially because I was new
- 22:26Speaker 2: into radio, so I wanted to just if I had
- 22:29Speaker 2: an opportunity to get on the air, I'm gonna get
- 22:31Speaker 2: on the air. And the stories were so entertaining, it
- 22:33Speaker 2: was amazing, But other people would get hurt because of it. Yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 2: So I had to learn that if I'm going to
- 22:40Speaker 2: bring up anything, one, I always run it by the
- 22:42Speaker 2: person first, and then two, I try not to let
- 22:45Speaker 2: them be at the end of the joke, the butt
- 22:49Speaker 2: of the joke, or the butt of the problem.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I usually try to make sure that's me. Yeah, but
- 22:53Speaker 1: even still, sometimes people will find a way to be.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Upset by it aslutely, and that could be the situation
- 22:57Speaker 2: like right now, and I don't want anybody ever to
- 22:59Speaker 2: be hurt in us talking about this journey of life. Yeah, like,
- 23:03Speaker 2: because that's what I really want to dive in. If
- 23:05Speaker 2: there's somebody that I'm like, I'm going on dates with,
- 23:07Speaker 2: or like I talk to, I never want to make
- 23:09Speaker 2: it seem like they're in the wrong. Like that's why
- 23:10Speaker 2: we said the chemistry thing. It's like, literally, if it's
- 23:12Speaker 2: just a chemistry thing, then there's literally nobody did anything wrong.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's totally fair. But if she listens in,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and if I was her and I listened in, I
- 23:20Speaker 1: would give you the thumbs up and bounce.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's understandable. And I could see that and
- 23:25Speaker 2: she was like, you're a douche. I'd be like, I
- 23:26Speaker 2: get it.
- 23:27Speaker 1: So, long story short, Scotty asked her out and then
- 23:30Speaker 1: she gave him a thumbs up. And this was what
- 23:32Speaker 1: twenty four hours later.
- 23:33Speaker 2: M M yeah, more than that.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But she listens, Hey, girl, I'm sure you're great. You're
- 23:38Speaker 1: just not Scotty's lady.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Oh my god, Oh my god.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm just not Scotty's lady.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Well again, but I'm not looking for any of that.
- 23:46Speaker 2: And they know that. The people that I'm going on
- 23:48Speaker 2: dates with know that.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but no girl wants to feel like like she's
- 23:53Speaker 1: being used.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I wonder if there's a go. Here's the thing. If
- 23:58Speaker 2: you date somebody, do you tell them to listen? Because
- 24:00Speaker 2: I don't.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Well, I just know that I am under the assumption
- 24:03Speaker 1: that they listen, because there are people I would never
- 24:06Speaker 1: expect to tune in that tune in and I'm like,
- 24:07Speaker 1: why the fuck are you listening to this podcast?
- 24:11Speaker 3: Oh?
- 24:11Speaker 1: You know what I mean? So I'm I try to
- 24:14Speaker 1: use the rule of if I'm talking about them, if
- 24:17Speaker 1: they're sitting in the room, what would I say mmm?
- 24:20Speaker 1: And sometimes that still gets you in trouble.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it definitely will. Like again, I would have
- 24:24Speaker 2: these conversations in front of everybody I'm talking to. Yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 2: I think it's very open and honest. Again, like, that's
- 24:28Speaker 2: what I'm trying to do, is just be open and
- 24:30Speaker 2: honest about where I am. Now, if somebody gets hurt
- 24:32Speaker 2: along the way, I'm extremely sorry, Like that was never
- 24:34Speaker 2: the intention. But I also I can't always help how
- 24:37Speaker 2: things are talked about, because this is supposed to be
- 24:39Speaker 2: an open form. Yeah, kind of therapeutic. But yeah, so
- 24:41Speaker 2: it's always gotten me in trouble. So if this is
- 24:43Speaker 2: the case right now, if they are listening, damn it,
- 24:46Speaker 2: I got introuble.
- 24:47Speaker 1: But this needed to happen. I felt bad for her.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I was like, I know, I could tell she was
- 24:53Speaker 1: catching feelings for you, and she can say to herself
- 24:57Speaker 1: that she can be casual, But I don't get the
- 24:59Speaker 1: vibe that this l wants to be casual. Yeah, that's understanding.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And also if you're catching stronger feelings for somebody else,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I don't want to be like your your runner up.
- 25:07Speaker 2: That's very valid, very valid.
- 25:10Speaker 1: So you know, a girl shout out to you for
- 25:11Speaker 1: thumbing up that message. Hell yeah, no, yeah, Scott, fuck Scott,
- 25:16Speaker 1: don't Fox s good but screw Scott, but don't screw Scott.
- 25:19Speaker 1: But yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Yeah, honestly, and I think I would say the same thing,
- 25:24Speaker 2: like do what makes you feel the best? Mm hmm,
- 25:26Speaker 2: that's awesome. I'm gonna support that everywhere, every time, every time.
- 25:29Speaker 2: And if you were to give me the middle finger,
- 25:30Speaker 2: I get it. I don't know if I necessarily did
- 25:32Speaker 2: anything wrong, but I also understand how it could come
- 25:34Speaker 2: off wrong.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I'm Scott and I can have casual sex with no
- 25:38Speaker 1: consequences because I'm a man. I'm literally I'm not like
- 25:41Speaker 1: going out. I'm not hooking up, I'm not doing these
- 25:43Speaker 1: I'm joking. You are being as respectful as I've literally
- 25:47Speaker 1: just gone on dates. Yeah, I know, And so you're
- 25:50Speaker 1: being very respectful. You're telling the women straight up what
- 25:52Speaker 1: you want. I'm not saying anything you do is wrong.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm just coming to you. I'm advocating for the women
- 25:57Speaker 1: in your life, absolutely, and I me too. No, you're not.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You're advocating for yourself, Scottie or else. Why would you
- 26:04Speaker 1: ask this girl that you don't like to hang out
- 26:06Speaker 1: on Thursday night?
- 26:07Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I do like her, I'm just not
- 26:09Speaker 2: looking for anything serious.
- 26:11Speaker 1: You don't like her as much as you like the
- 26:13Speaker 1: other girl.
- 26:13Speaker 2: I was kind of blown away by this other date.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I know that's what I mean.
- 26:16Speaker 2: But I'm also still not looking for anything serious.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But then I would also be pissed if I was
- 26:20Speaker 1: the girl, And you know, I would be pissed. If
- 26:23Speaker 1: I was the girl that you really liked and you
- 26:25Speaker 1: still went on a date Thursday with the girl that
- 26:28Speaker 1: you don't like, I'd be so mad. How do you
- 26:33Speaker 1: casually date? Then? Well, the thing is is, I think
- 26:36Speaker 1: you have You can casually date, but you have to
- 26:38Speaker 1: have an internal ranking system. So you can keep around
- 26:41Speaker 1: the person you like the most. But it's kind of
- 26:42Speaker 1: fucked up to really like somebody and then not really
- 26:46Speaker 1: like somebody and keep the person you don't really like
- 26:48Speaker 1: around just because you want to have sex.
- 26:49Speaker 2: This is so philosophical.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Here's my question. And I know we talk a lot
- 26:53Speaker 2: about dating. So if you're tired of it, I'm sorry.
- 26:55Speaker 2: If people are tired of it, I know, Well I
- 26:56Speaker 2: don't think so, because I think these are the different
- 26:57Speaker 2: chapters of it, because this is so the.
- 26:59Speaker 1: People say they're tired of it, and then it's like
- 27:01Speaker 1: our most downloaded episode.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yes, again, you could always message us about this because
- 27:06Speaker 2: I want to hear your thoughts too. But here's where
- 27:08Speaker 2: I'm at because again, I wasn't X.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Well.
- 27:11Speaker 2: I knew the person that I was going to go
- 27:12Speaker 2: on a date with. I knew there was a great
- 27:15Speaker 2: chance that we would have a great connection. So what
- 27:18Speaker 2: was I supposed to do? Just say? Literally, in my
- 27:20Speaker 2: head I was joking thinking I should put this off because.
- 27:24Speaker 1: They date with the girl you really like. Yeah, I
- 27:26Speaker 1: was like, I should put this off so I can
- 27:27Speaker 1: obsex with the girl I don't like.
- 27:28Speaker 2: No, so I could just truly like, just be single
- 27:32Speaker 2: and enjoy this chapter. And it sounds like I'm about
- 27:34Speaker 2: to jump into a relationship. I don't know what the
- 27:36Speaker 2: heck the tomorrow brings, so let me not jump to that.
- 27:39Speaker 1: But what am I supposed to be?
- 27:40Speaker 2: Like, We're gonna put off our date because I have
- 27:42Speaker 2: a fear that we're gonna have such a good connection
- 27:45Speaker 2: that it might stop this whole single year thing. Mm hm.
- 27:48Speaker 2: But now we already went on the date, so now we.
- 27:51Speaker 1: To be fair. That was my fault because I did
- 27:53Speaker 1: wing woman you too hard, you.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Know, And this is where I got in trouble. Not
- 27:57Speaker 2: in trouble, but like, this is literally what happened last time.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I was like, well, I like somebody, and I don't
- 28:01Speaker 2: want them going on other dates, and I don't want
- 28:03Speaker 2: to really go see anybody else. So I think I'm
- 28:05Speaker 2: just gonna I think we're just gonna date.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And we did.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Is that your last relationship? And so and look how
- 28:10Speaker 4: that ended? Well, I mean it was four years. It's
- 28:13Speaker 4: not like it was bad. It was a good four years.
- 28:15Speaker 4: It still ended, it's still ended. Oh my god. So
- 28:20Speaker 4: I guess that's the.
- 28:24Speaker 2: You could casually date as long as you're open about it,
- 28:26Speaker 2: because you're still kind of, you know, discovering what you want.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I do think you can casually date if you like
- 28:32Speaker 1: everyone equally. That's valid. But when I watch The Bachelor
- 28:36Speaker 1: and I see a guy and he and I get
- 28:39Speaker 1: the ick when I'm on like week five, and I
- 28:41Speaker 1: can tell that he just has to entertain these girls
- 28:43Speaker 1: because the producers make you keep a certain amount of women,
- 28:46Speaker 1: and we just feel bad for those girls, you know.
- 28:48Speaker 1: And then there's only there's usually two girls that he
- 28:50Speaker 1: really likes somewhat equally, but one a lot more than
- 28:53Speaker 1: the other. And that's when he get engaged. He gets
- 28:55Speaker 1: engaged to for four months.
- 28:56Speaker 2: You know what, maybe I will just take a second
- 28:58Speaker 2: to step back. I'll just go with the stream of life,
- 29:02Speaker 2: and maybe I won't put myself in literal dating situations.
- 29:05Speaker 2: That makes sense, right, you're too far in Well, okay,
- 29:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna still you know what, as the updates come,
- 29:11Speaker 2: I'll update you. How are your dates going?
- 29:13Speaker 1: Abbey actually deleted the dating apps? Did I tell you that?
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:16Speaker 1: You deleted? Well, what ones do you want? I was
- 29:18Speaker 1: on bumble and hinge. I'm just like really not in
- 29:21Speaker 1: a good place to date right now.
- 29:23Speaker 2: You know, I'm just not what do you mean? Do
- 29:24Speaker 2: you just feel like this life's too overwhelming right now?
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Life is just too overwhelming right now. And I
- 29:29Speaker 1: also I just I just don't want to meet someone
- 29:30Speaker 1: on an app. I'm like, if it happens in real life,
- 29:32Speaker 1: which it won't.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Okay, that's first off, cancel that out. The universe is listening, Abbey, Well,
- 29:38Speaker 2: thank god, I know it is. The universe is like
- 29:40Speaker 2: Girl War three. Well, the only thing I'm gonna get
- 29:45Speaker 2: hit by is a nuclear bomb.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Most likely.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I left because it's true. No, but okay, I think
- 29:55Speaker 2: we're about to step into a new era, like with
- 29:57Speaker 2: the in person life, because that's literally I did that
- 30:00Speaker 2: in January. I was like, Wow, this is where it's happening.
- 30:03Speaker 2: It's so much easier, more organic.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I just feel I feel like there's something in the
- 30:07Speaker 1: air that I will meet somebody at some point in
- 30:10Speaker 1: real life. And I didn't feel anything. When I deleted
- 30:12Speaker 1: the apps. I was like, I've done this before once,
- 30:14Speaker 1: but I kind of didn't really want to do it.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I was like, I'll do it for like a radio
- 30:17Speaker 1: bit or whatever, but I wasn't thrilled by it this time. Literally,
- 30:20Speaker 1: I deleted them. I have not thought about them every
- 30:22Speaker 1: now and then I kind of go, oh, let's check them,
- 30:24Speaker 1: and I go oh, I don't have them, and then oh,
- 30:25Speaker 1: and then I don't think about it again. That's much better.
- 30:28Speaker 2: In steady you could go on like well, I was
- 30:30Speaker 2: going to say Facebook events, but you could yeah, and
- 30:32Speaker 2: then just go see what events happening and then just
- 30:34Speaker 2: go to the event.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I think I see more single people walking around because
- 30:38Speaker 1: I live closer to a city center, and I think
- 30:40Speaker 1: that makes me feel like I don't need to be
- 30:42Speaker 1: on the apps, if that makes sense. Yeah. Like I
- 30:44Speaker 1: was living out in the burbs in Atlanta, and the
- 30:47Speaker 1: only time I would see people is if I would
- 30:49Speaker 1: go on a walk around Chestain, which is like this
- 30:51Speaker 1: big park newar golf course anyway, But I feel like
- 30:53Speaker 1: I just see more people my age. So I think
- 30:56Speaker 1: it's gotten rid of that mindset of oh, I'm only
- 30:59Speaker 1: going to meet somebody if it's.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I think there's so many places to meet people now. Yeah,
- 31:03Speaker 2: like they were just doing a whole again. We talked
- 31:05Speaker 2: about the ice tub thing they did one outside of
- 31:07Speaker 2: you know, the hockey rink over here Benchmark International Arena.
- 31:10Speaker 2: I was gonna call it amily arena. But they just
- 31:12Speaker 2: did a whole entire like rave ice tub social event.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It was right by where you live. You could have
- 31:20Speaker 1: walked to it.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Was it this week It was like Sunday Sunday, this
- 31:23Speaker 2: past Sunday.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Oh, I couldn't have done it this weekend.
- 31:25Speaker 2: We could have well with your family Amias in town. Oh,
- 31:30Speaker 2: or you can go sit at the tub, bring their
- 31:33Speaker 2: ass to the tub.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I could have gone. I mean I can go in
- 31:35Speaker 1: the future. I'll probably want to go in July when
- 31:38Speaker 1: it's eighty nine thousand degrees.
- 31:40Speaker 2: You know, you gotta follow Gateway subs. Have you had
- 31:42Speaker 2: Gateway sub yet? I'm gonna put you on.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Here we go. I'm not a big subgal.
- 31:46Speaker 2: They got more than subs. Do you like a rap
- 31:49Speaker 2: like a rap? You like a sub and a tub?
- 31:51Speaker 2: How about a salad like a salad? I know I'm
- 31:54Speaker 2: not to give Gateway the they're flowers. I'm telling you local.
- 31:57Speaker 2: They they're big into these things. They're all always at
- 32:00Speaker 2: these clubs. So and you'll see them at you know,
- 32:02Speaker 2: the cold tub place. Given out subs. It's the perfect
- 32:06Speaker 2: way to meet someone. Tell that man to go get
- 32:09Speaker 2: you a sub. But don't tell him that you don't
- 32:11Speaker 2: like subs. This is what you actually have a chance
- 32:14Speaker 2: to talk to him.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Just go give me a sub, you know, Like, why
- 32:16Speaker 1: aren't you meeting that sub I got you? Actually, I
- 32:19Speaker 1: don't like it. I'd rather have a rap. I'm like
- 32:20Speaker 1: that McDonald's ceola. I'm like, mmmm, that's so good. I
- 32:25Speaker 1: love the crispy onions.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I think it would blow you away. But I was
- 32:28Speaker 2: going to do the apps for like again a show bit,
- 32:31Speaker 2: just to see how it goes. But now literally everyone's
- 32:34Speaker 2: told me it's just a disaster, and I think it
- 32:35Speaker 2: would actually lower myself esteem if I did it.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I mean, I think you should try it if your
- 32:40Speaker 1: current relationships don't work out.
- 32:44Speaker 2: From your current girlfriends, oh my gosh, we're just talking,
- 32:47Speaker 2: but we are. There are other dates on the table, oh.
- 32:51Speaker 1: With other people that I haven't heard of yet.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Okay, no nobody, because again, I'm not trying to start
- 32:56Speaker 2: things new. I think that's the thing. I don't want
- 32:58Speaker 2: to start anything new. Let me go ahead.
- 33:00Speaker 1: And so that's why you invited out girl number one
- 33:03Speaker 1: to a movie night tomorrow and then she gave you
- 33:06Speaker 1: the thumbs up, and then you invited a girl on
- 33:09Speaker 1: a sun rise.
- 33:09Speaker 2: It was both of our idea and I was following
- 33:12Speaker 2: up with it. And if she does listen to the podcast,
- 33:15Speaker 2: she does, okay, well then I'm sorry.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry girlfriend number one, but now she's not
- 33:20Speaker 1: even girlfriend number one. No, girlfriend number one has been
- 33:23Speaker 1: shifted to girlfriend number two. What you really like? I do?
- 33:28Speaker 1: I do.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I'm excited to see what happens.
- 33:30Speaker 1: You really like girlfriend number one?
- 33:32Speaker 2: Now I'm intimidated by the idea of even setting up dates,
- 33:36Speaker 2: but we'll see. I think it'll be good. You already
- 33:38Speaker 2: have a date with her setup I know, because that's
- 33:40Speaker 2: what you're supposed to do, right. We can't just go
- 33:42Speaker 2: out once and be like, oh, that was great.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Well, we're just never gonna do it again. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: we literally that's what I do. That's horrible.
- 33:47Speaker 2: That might be a reason why it doesn't work out,
- 33:50Speaker 2: Like I wanted to be great, And if it's good,
- 33:55Speaker 2: that'd be so silly, foolish, some would say. Some would
- 33:58Speaker 2: say to not do it again. You could say that,
- 34:01Speaker 2: oh my god, all right, well we got to do
- 34:05Speaker 2: other things behind the scenes. We're about to have the
- 34:08Speaker 2: radio execs listen to our show.
- 34:10Speaker 1: And oh fuck, I forgot. We've been meeting to it toomm.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Hmm and rip through our audio and see if we're
- 34:14Speaker 2: horrible or not.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So what we're not good is coming to No, it's not.
- 34:21Speaker 2: It's literally just the beginning. It's kind of like when
- 34:24Speaker 2: you're running. For all my runners who listen, and it's
- 34:27Speaker 2: that first mile is tough and so you're just trying
- 34:30Speaker 2: to let that body loosen up. But then by mile
- 34:32Speaker 2: four or five you're.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Like, oh, I'm feeling good. We're still in mile one.
- 34:37Speaker 1: You guys have any idea what it's like to work
- 34:39Speaker 1: with this every day. I come in day one of
- 34:41Speaker 1: my period migrain in full blast, and here's Scottie, like, Rah,
- 34:49Speaker 1: that was all day to day.
- 34:50Speaker 2: What's that app that you have? Yeah, I'm gonna need
- 34:53Speaker 2: to get on the flow app because I can change
- 34:55Speaker 2: my energy based off of what somebody else is.
- 34:57Speaker 1: I'm sitting here like I don't know how to tell
- 34:58Speaker 1: this man to shut up.
- 35:00Speaker 2: You could do it just like that, like, hey, Scott,
- 35:03Speaker 2: migraine and on my period, you to just take a chill.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I didn't notice, though, I noticed that.
- 35:09Speaker 1: You noticed, and I was like, I'm glad he's noticing it.
- 35:11Speaker 1: But I think instead of adjusting, I think you got louder.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I think.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I feel like it might have felt like that because
- 35:21Speaker 2: I might have just tried to fill in space. Also,
- 35:23Speaker 2: you gotta remember I was doing the show in here
- 35:25Speaker 2: alone for like two years, and so I used to
- 35:28Speaker 2: just scream in the studio alone.
- 35:30Speaker 1: You live with a woman, know, Scotty. I know. And
- 35:32Speaker 1: now I need to get on the flow up. So
- 35:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna cycle sync with your Google calendar. Okay.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Then we'll just take a quick little re set before
- 35:43Speaker 2: a meeting and before I ask you to do more.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Things for how are you feeling, aby, I'm like not, well, Scotty,
- 35:49Speaker 5: I love this because eventually I'm just gonna know everything,
- 35:53Speaker 5: and I'm just gonna be able to know immediately, like
- 35:54Speaker 5: what's today?
- 35:55Speaker 2: Okay, got it?
- 35:56Speaker 1: He's making a note funny, just so.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I'm a where these are things you got to pay
- 36:01Speaker 2: attention to, trying to be a supportive co host over here.
- 36:03Speaker 2: You'll know I'm knowing now I know what to look for.
- 36:06Speaker 2: All right, let's get off of here. I appreciate you listening.
- 36:09Speaker 2: We'll be back tomorrow. Yeah, we haven't done the run
- 36:13Speaker 2: club yet, but when we do we'll make an.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Update on that. How are we going tomorrow?
- 36:16Speaker 2: Tomorrow? So tomorrow's episode will not be the run Club update?
- 36:20Speaker 2: Hell yeah, but we'll have other things. All right, Abby,
- 36:22Speaker 2: what is your social media?
- 36:24Speaker 1: The Abby Murphy everywhere?
- 36:26Speaker 2: You're still doing things. Anybody can hitch you up on
- 36:28Speaker 2: Facebook or TikTok.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Just oh, I'm getting coffee with someone on Saturday.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Oh, like a friend, a lady friend, but not like
- 36:35Speaker 2: a friend friend that's cool. Somebody that lives here, or
- 36:37Speaker 2: somebody you knew before, or somebody knew no.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Someone who just moved here. I don't know. That's why
- 36:41Speaker 1: I like doing these Tampa videos is it's putting me
- 36:44Speaker 1: on Tampa TikTok, and so people who live in Tampa
- 36:47Speaker 1: are like, oh, she looks fun and they want to
- 36:49Speaker 1: be friends with me.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Well, of course, that's why we have this amazing podcast,
- 36:52Speaker 2: because so many people are like, oh, I like Abby.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I don't know why, but come on, you know why
- 36:58Speaker 2: look at it.
- 36:58Speaker 1: She's madly you know she's likable.
- 37:00Speaker 2: All right, I'm at Scott Tavlin s C O T
- 37:03Speaker 2: T T A V L I N and check out
- 37:06Speaker 2: at Magic ninety four nine as well. Thank you for listening.
- 37:09Speaker 2: We'll be back tomorrow.
