Speaker 1: Verse one. After the uproar had ceased, Paul called the

Speaker 1: disciples to himself, embraced them, and departed to go to Macedonia.

Speaker 1: As we know through Paul's journeys, he's always confronted with uproars,

Speaker 1: riots and division and persecution. There's always going to be

Speaker 1: two responses to the gospel. There's going to be a

Speaker 1: positive response and there's going to be a negative response

Speaker 1: where people are going to reject the message. Do not

Speaker 1: take it personal, Amen, know that Jesus had prepared us

Speaker 1: for this, and also know that we have to expect

Speaker 1: some pushback. But I also want you to notice that

Speaker 1: Paul never ran from trouble without first strengthening the church. Amen.

Speaker 1: After the big riot in Ephesus, and of course we

Speaker 1: know what happened, they were crying out, Great is Diana

Speaker 1: of the Ephesians. They were writing for their false God,

Speaker 1: right because they were losing profit. After the silver Smith

Speaker 1: and the whole situation, Paul doesn't bounce. He gathers the believers.

Speaker 1: it's personal. After he does all that, then he moves on.

Speaker 1: the flock. He comfort the flock even when he had

Speaker 1: next step, the next moment, we have to comfort the flock.

Speaker 1: I remember my first pastor I was close to was

Speaker 1: the church, and our mother church, our sending church, actually

Speaker 1: sent them out to another city to take over another church.

Speaker 1: And that was heart wrenching. That was heartbreaking to get close.

Speaker 1: You know. I used to eat breakfast with this man.

Speaker 1: You know, I used to allow this man to speak

Speaker 1: into my life, you know, the word of God. And

Speaker 1: I thought that he was going to be there for

Speaker 1: the whole journey. But before he left, he comfort us.

Speaker 1: He preached the message. He said that he had to

Speaker 1: be obedient and so we had to understand that. So

Speaker 1: I know how this situation can be when you have

Speaker 1: to leave, but you want to comfort those who you've

Speaker 1: been ministering to before you do, hallelujah. Sometimes God would

Speaker 1: close a door with an uproar, even drama, opposition or

Speaker 1: just playing chaos. You know, don't just ghost the people

Speaker 1: of God. Take time to encourage them, hug them if

Speaker 1: you can, then step into the next assignment. That's so.

Speaker 1: Paul is a great role model and a great example. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: Versu you now when they had gone over the region

Speaker 1: and encouraged them with many words, he came to Greece

Speaker 1: and stayed there for three months. Paul was about that

Speaker 1: encouragement right. He didn't just preach fire. He built people

Speaker 1: up with many words. Three months in Greece, probably Corinth

Speaker 1: in the Corinthian area gave him time to teach deeply

Speaker 1: just rush through every move. Let the Holy Spirit give

Speaker 1: touch somebody in the crowd. You just minister to probably

Speaker 1: over two hundred people over the weekend. We just had

Speaker 1: this outreach event. It was a foot washing event, and

Speaker 1: I was encouraging my young fourteen year old daughter, say, hey,

Speaker 1: there's other little girls out here. Hug on somebody, Go

Speaker 1: encourage them, Go pray for somebody. You know. That's what

Speaker 1: we were there for, not necessarily just for the music

Speaker 1: and for all the likes and stuff like that. We're

Speaker 1: there to make an impact. We should be trading phone

Speaker 1: numbers and emails and stuff like that, and not just

Speaker 1: people that can do something for us, people that can

Speaker 1: do nothing for us, homeless people, right, people that can

Speaker 1: not pay us back. Just pour into people because you

Speaker 1: love them. Man, they can't put you on the next

Speaker 1: show or anything like that. Just show the love of God. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: Verse three and one. They when the Jews plotted against

Speaker 1: him as he was about to sell to Syria, he

Speaker 1: decided to return through Macedonia. Now, how many of us

Speaker 1: are familiar with haters. I'm familiar with haters. I've had

Speaker 1: to pivot plenty of times. And you know what God

Speaker 1: gives us discernment. God makes it clear, you know, makes

Speaker 1: it plean. How you know, He can deal with people

Speaker 1: stay tuned in with God, you can see it coming

Speaker 1: a mile away. And God would give you that opportunity

Speaker 1: to pivot. I mean, it's almost too easy, hey man,

Speaker 1: when you're tuned in to the spirit. But Paul had

Speaker 1: to pivot here. Paul was sensitive to the spirit and

Speaker 1: he was also practical. He didn't tempt God by sailing

Speaker 1: into a known trap like the Jews were plotting against them,

Speaker 1: so he didn't just go right into it. Instead, he

Speaker 1: changed plans and went the longer land route through Macedonia.

Speaker 1: Now that's wisdom. Paul was not being afraid. Paul was

Speaker 1: not fearful. Paul was using wisdom by taking that route

Speaker 1: Verse four. All right, Now, as a disclaimer, I'm probably

Speaker 1: Paul's new companions that link up with the one this journey.

Speaker 1: solo act. Paul knew how to build a team. He

Speaker 1: always It wasn't just about the talent. I mean, yes,

Speaker 1: talent helps, but it's about the annointing. It's about the

Speaker 1: power and the presence, an anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1: That that's what I was always interested in building up.

Speaker 1: I'm always interested in building up people's walk with the Lord,

Speaker 1: more than just developing their talent or their gifts and

Speaker 1: building up character. Because sometimes we cannot handle elevation and

Speaker 1: some people can't go where God is leading us. We

Speaker 1: can go. I remember doing a show years ago in

Speaker 1: front of a huge crowd, and right after that I

Speaker 1: got straight attacked at my family. I had like a

Speaker 1: a horrible argument with my wife, like the same night,

Speaker 1: and I'm like where is this? Like what is this?

Speaker 1: Where did this come from? And I'm like, okay, you

Speaker 1: know how they say, bigger levels, bigger devils. You have

Speaker 1: to have the character. You got to be in the spirit.

Speaker 1: You gotta know where the attack is coming from. Hey man,

Speaker 1: just gathered a big team and now they are accompanying

Speaker 1: him on his missionary journey. These men going ahead waited

Speaker 1: First of all, you gotta pay attention to a shift

Speaker 1: here as we read the story, Luke starts to say us.

Speaker 1: So a lot of commentators say that Luke join the

Speaker 1: missionary party. Here he joined Paul on his journeys. Now

Speaker 1: we know Luke is also the one who wrote the

Speaker 1: Gospel of Luke in the Book of Acts, and so

Speaker 1: in verse five where he says us. Then the team

Speaker 1: splits up, and the split up is strategic. Some go

Speaker 1: ahead to prepare and others travel with Paul. Sometimes you

Speaker 1: need some people to go ahead to scout out the

Speaker 1: area and to prepare the ground for ministry. So this

Speaker 1: shows us that good leadership delegates and trust the team.

Speaker 1: A good leader will not try to do everything himself.

Speaker 1: Now in our ministries and our music ministries or our businesses,

Speaker 1: do we try to do everything ourselves? Or we allow

Speaker 1: faithful people to go ahead and wait for us on

Speaker 1: the next stop. A man, good leaders know how to

Speaker 1: delegate and know how to grow people and trust people.

Speaker 1: Verse six. But we sailed away from Philippi after the

Speaker 1: days of unloving bread, and in five days joined them

Speaker 1: in Troaz, where we stayed seven days. Now Paul would

Speaker 1: also observe, and he was aware of all of the

Speaker 1: Jewish feast, and sometimes he would line up his travels

Speaker 1: with the next meal or the next feast, should I say,

Speaker 1: the next celebration. There's a lot of feasts that the

Speaker 1: Jews participate in, and it's all biblical. It's all scriptural,

Speaker 1: and God commanded them together and celebrate these feasts. God

Speaker 1: was about family and family reunions. I man, I how

Speaker 1: great would that be if America would do something like that?

Speaker 1: But I mean I know we have our holidays, but

Speaker 1: if there is some place where we could gather together

Speaker 1: as a nation, how close would we be and celebrate together?

Speaker 1: A lot of our celebrations people celebrate individually with their families,

Speaker 1: or sometimes we go to parks, but we go with

Speaker 1: our families. Right, How great would it be if we

Speaker 1: just come together as a nation and celebrated, especially being

Speaker 1: concerning that the Kingdom of God, That would be amazing.

Speaker 1: I would have loved to live in this nation Israel

Speaker 1: when they were faithful to God. Amen. I don't don't

Speaker 1: wanna be there when they weren't faithful. I don't want

Speaker 1: that smoke. But when they were faithful to God, Man,

Speaker 1: how exciting that would be to grow up in a

Speaker 1: here now. Paul's journey teaches us encouragement and as wise

Speaker 1: change directions. Sometimes it teaches us unity and how to

Speaker 1: raise up a team in strategic timing. And I believe

Speaker 1: it's amazing how his party just grows. People just starts

Speaker 1: to travel and join Paul in the vision and the

Speaker 1: work that God has prepared for him. And that's encouraging

Speaker 1: because I've been able to meet more people lately. I

Speaker 1: the other day, and like, he has the same heart

Speaker 1: that I have to go and preach the word, to

Speaker 1: wants to reach the community, and he wants to reach

Speaker 1: souls and hearts for the Lord. And so it felt good,

Speaker 1: I mean, the spirit felt good just being out there,

Speaker 1: you know, giving us an opportunity with the radio station

Speaker 1: to be a part of this outreach in this event,

Speaker 1: and then meeting the artists. There's a rapper there that

Speaker 1: we met with as well, who has the same heart

Speaker 1: the brother has a heart to worship Amen. And also

Speaker 1: we met this amazing couple all the way from my believe.

Speaker 1: They said they were from Arkansas, and they said that
