Transcript
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: And we're on and we, and this is the camp report for August the thirteenth, twenty, twenty, five.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, there's there's word.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, from Chop Robinson.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: He tweets out.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good y'all.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing serious.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good to hear.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but we will talk about this joint practice, which evidently, it's the end of the fucking world.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: And if you listen to the Detroit media, my god, the state run media from from Detroit that they're like, Provde, like it's all propaganda all the fucking time.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like, who could even listen to that shit?
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Do they even, do they look at both sides of the field to look at the wrong game?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Did they look at what happened to their run defense?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: Did they look at their linebackers and how they covered Devon HN?
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: The answer is no to all those things, but we're gonna get into all of this.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: I actually have notes from today's joint practice.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: I was not there in Detroit, but I'm thinking I'm gonna have to start going because I have a bullshit detector that is finely tuned and that thing is fucking redlining today.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Redlining.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it's pretty much from the same outfit in Detroit.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, and I will get to that.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: But I'll get to all the good and all the bad, and I'll tell you some of the bad, and some cause for concern.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: But first, let me tell you the sponsor of this show.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: They've been sponsoring us throughout training camp, throughout all of these practices.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I will return back to practice in person next week.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, and guess what?
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: They have a joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguar's next week.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what I do in those joint practices?
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, no one can tell me shit.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: I give you a play by play.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, every single play charted.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: How do you like that?
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: I like those apples.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I know that the dolphins dominated the eagles and bucks two years ago and they dominated, well, not dominated, but I thought they got clean winds against the Falcons and commanders last year and they had live periods last year that nobody got to see because it was indoors.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: And guess what?
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: The scores in those two games were seven nothing Miami and ten three Miami.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: I guess the commanders to commanders were in the NFC championship game and the dolphins were in the toilet ball.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: In other words, a lot of what you're reading right now means absolutely nothing.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: You just want to be healthy and you want to be watching for trends.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: But of course, we're brought to you by price picks again.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Use a promo code five, f i v e. And if you make a five dollar play, you get fifty dollars.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's the best, the best promotion anywhere.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: Why you would not take it up.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Use the promo code five, price picks.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's get into this today.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: Very, very brief notes.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Some good.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm going to get into the bad.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still getting a bunch of shit right now.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Texted to me.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: But it's essentially just the same things over and over and over again.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the good news at the top of the show is that it seems like child Robin soon is okay.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good news.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'm gonna give you the good today.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: Stoored that linebacker.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: He got toasted by Julie Nail on on one on one.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't give you shit about one on one.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: So they're kind of stupid.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so I really don't care, but I just like that that got tweeted out today.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: But more good.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: The often run game seems seen to have been popping today.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly with Devon HN and Aaron Brure seemed to have played a pretty solid practice today and he's going to get the player of the practice from what I am told.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Although I could have gone to Devon HN.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to go on anybody on defense because here is the bat.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I'll give you a little bit more good.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, can it's grant seem pretty good on one on ones.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: There's a word, there's a report out there.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: My god, just listen, you got just just read what people write and just by reading what they write, you could tell their full of shit.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: One guy was saying that in one B ones, the the lines easily won ninety percent of the one B ones.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess he was talking about, like I will believe it on offense.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I will believe it both ways on offense because those things are turkey shoots, it's impossible.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's impossible to not rush the pass or have the pass or back there for three, four, five seconds and have a guy do three double moves and one route.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Of course he's gonna get open, he's gonna catch the ball.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm talking about offensive and defensive line.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I believe he was alluding to the lines, winning ninety percent of them in pass pro.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's virtually impossible.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now you said that they went five for five across the board.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's also virtually impossible as well.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so Yeah, I would caution against who you listen to and quite frankly a lot of people don't know what the hell they're looking at and I notice this all the time I talk to people all the time They don't know what they're watching for the most part
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: And look, I've come across a few of these fan bases, and that's fine.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, fan bases are fan bases, okay?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Some are really, to be honest with you, bills, the bills fan base, you've watched them, and you've listened to them, and you've read what they tweet.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, some of it is stupid, but they tend to be kind of realistic, and they kind of know ball, jet fans are completely delusional.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: But there are some beats around the league that are just ridiculously homerific.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Ridiculously homerific.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know who's one that's really homerific?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: The Buccaneers?
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: because I was there two years ago and I was looking around like are they even watching this shit because I'm charting it and I'm going play for play and you know it's not like I'm in the stands fifty miles away I'm standing on essentially the baseline I'm right behind the goal post
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm watching the dolphin offense in goal line drills, essentially that they're just lining up at the three yard line.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Score, twenty six touchdowns on like thirty two players or some shit ridiculous like that.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm reading afterwards, Tampa Bay book and ears, uh, you know, beatwriters saying, oh, they were dominant today.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: How?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: How were they dominant when we just saw live periods in back to back days where Miami won.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the first one they won against Tom Brady by the way.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And that one was actually pretty competitive.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: And that one I would believe at ended ten seven.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: My main one that period ten seven, the way they do that is pretty simple.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: They go four drives each team.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: And the score after the four drives is the winner.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you're allowed to kick field goals.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it's actually live periods.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: Miami had four drives, they had a touchdown and a field goal.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: The buck and ears had four drives and they had a touchdown.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: In my book, that's ten seven, right?
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: You won, right?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: The next day, Miami won that ten three, I believe.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: That was also the year that the dolphins played the the Eagles in a joint practice and they had that live period.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: One versus one.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: One versus ones.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Three drives.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Three drives each.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Hertz had two three and outs and one first down.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: Dolphin scored ten points on three drives.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: They had a touchdown on a long touchdown to Tyre Kale and they kicked a field goal.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: So they won their period ten nothing.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, those are wins, right?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: No word today if they had any live periods, but I'll give you some bad before I get into some some questions in the chat.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: The bad today, a mind-ross thing in Brown, absolutely dominated him, dominated the dolphins now.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's to be expected.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really, really good player.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: But you want to see your guys compete.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: And the word around the campfire is that Jarragov cut them up in the short zone.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not good.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's telling me that not only did secondary have trouble guarding guys in the short zone areas, which is a problem.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's how you combat a team that can get off the ball really well and has a really good pass rush.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so Like that's concerning like if you're gonna be concerned about anything be concerned about Jaragov cutting you up in the short area now.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good quarterback I'm not like these assholes out there They're talking about he's mediocre to yeah everybody's mediocre except like two three quarterbacks, you know
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: But that's concerning, because you want to see your linebackers win in short areas, and you want your cornerbacks to compete in short areas.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: So that is concerning.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: That Jared Goff cuts them up in short areas.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still getting more texts.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, no, nothing new.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a lot of the like the chop Robinson thing.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Most of the reports were saying arm shoulder.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: I was told it was an elbow like a hyper extended elbow.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: There was a fumble.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: He was reaching for the fumble and I guess somebody fell on his arm or it got twisted or something like that.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let me respond to this person.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, and I guess you get twisted up there pretty good.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: And that hurts like hell.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess we'll get more on that tomorrow.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: But for now, it's good.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: The news is good so far.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I already told you the bad.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really care that I'm on Rossine Brown was kicking their ass today, like that's, okay, that's great.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really, really good player, so that's to be expected.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I do care that Jerichoff was really, really efficient in short areas.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: I did not get any word that they were running the ball well against Miami, although they did have a score from Jamir Gibbs from like four or five yards out, so that's important.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to give up five-yard runs for touchdowns in the red area.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: You just don't.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's not supposed to be in your bingo card for a good defense.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: You're supposed to make it extremely tough in condensed areas.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: You want them to pass the ball in for touchdowns.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want them to run it in from five yards out.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like a give up play.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to be really, really stopped.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you want to give up, if you're going to give up rushing touchdowns in the NFL and you want to be a good defense, you better make them one yard and two yard touchdown runs.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: You want to give up five yard touchdown runs in the right area.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: You just don't because it's condensed areas, which means that you want to take some wins in your front seven.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the spots for a concern, but Jesus Christ, people got to die the back a little bit.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's mostly dolphin fans like I have one point I felt like the Detroit beat riders were egging on the dolphin fans at that point like You know this guy can't be following all the time guys, okay?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: And if this team causes you so much playing pain don't watch don't listen and don't listen to the podcast for that matter.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Why would you care?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: really right anyway we're gonna go to break and when we come back we will take your questions but first these words and we're back alright let me get to the questions in the chat of course we're doing this on our discord live if you want to participate live and you want to ask questions you got to go to discord and you go to discord.gg forward slash only fins and you become a member there all access for four ninety nine a month

- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Check out our store.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: We have a new, we have a new t-shirt available now.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's a zone is for cowards t-shirt.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Check it out.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: I like the design.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I already ordered one for myself.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: So check it out.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Check on the link.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: All right, first question, yes, chop, question mark.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it seems like chop himself is doing all the reporting here.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he says he's all right.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: So we shall see.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, Bonner looks like he's coming on the last few weeks he has.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: In your opinion, is he going to be one of the starters outside when the season rolls around?
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Or do we need to see more over the next couple of preseason games?
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: We need to see more.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see him in the short area again.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that the lines play all their starters because I want to see some bonnet go up against those starters because their passing game can be really, really tricky.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: If they're going to keep a lot of the same concepts that Ben Johnson has, there were a lot of short mesh concepts, their short passing game is as tricky or more tricky than Miami's.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to see our cornerback score up against something like that.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be instructive.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: But yes, if I had the bet,
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Ethan Bonner wins one of those jobs, opposite of Stormdruck.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I will say this, I watch the game.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: I rewatch the game.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: I rewatched it again this morning.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: And each time I watch it, it doesn't mean that I'm watching the entire game.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: Each time I'm watching different, I watch the game one time to just watch the defensive tackles play.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: I watched it this morning to watch the second day replay.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're best pairing.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even close.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's Jack Jones and Ethan Bonner.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: And it's nowhere close.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: Kendall Sheffield is not a starter and he shouldn't be a starter.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why he was getting a lot of snaps with the first team.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Storm Duck is really going to run support.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: He was not good in coverage.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: not good in coverage on Sunday.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: He just wasn't.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Their best pairing is Jack Jones and Ethan Bonner and it's not close.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Not close.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Let me say one more time.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not close.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: All right, next question.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, been in meetings.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: How much sky is falling and how on fires?
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: The house is on fire.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: It burnt down and the sky already fell and there's a meteor that's coming to finish off the earth.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Next question.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Does Dante Trader Jr look like a guy you can count on to see playing time this year?
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he hasn't been playing.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's been injured.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: He did play today.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: He got a big hit over the middle.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: So that's nice to see.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's always had a look.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: But he's going to have to finish up camp strong.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I will say this.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: John Saunders Jr is a guy who has had a very, very good camp.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Good God.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: He played like shit on Sunday.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: So is there an opening?
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Why is everyone freaking out over practice?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: Not the game but practice exactly, right?
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about practice.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: Not a game, not a game.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about practice.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: Next question.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, second practice and it's a disaster again.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's over.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Do they need to bring back the ping pong table immediately if not sooner?
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: They got to bring back the ping pong table, the TNT wall, anything else they got to bring back?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the TNT wall, they gotta build it because there is no wall now.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let me see, is there a wall?
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: No, there's no wall.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: And if they paint the building, like they can't paint the building because it has like a corrugated design on the side of the building.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: And they have like Ivy.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you can't even have a TNT wall.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: So they gotta build a TNT wall.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: So you just just put a TNT wall out there, right?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: And bring back the ping pong table.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you gotta do both.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and the who could forget the basketball court.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: The General Ramsey and Xavier Howard used to love the ball with.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: I always looked at that.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like this.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: The dumbest shit ever playing basketball out there.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know how easy it is to, to tear an ACL or blow on a Achilles on the basketball court.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, they had a, they had a hoop.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: All right, how likely is it that Borm is our starting right tackle, giving the injuries at the position of no, you're already told that Austin Jackson is starting week one.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: So Borm is your backup swing tackle.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: God help us if he has to come in at left tackle though.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: I keep hearing that Jordan Phillips is green and he's to work on his game.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: What are his weakness technique wise?
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what's green about a guy who just kicks the crap out of you.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's really really strong.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: You have him in one shade and zero technique.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna be just fine.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: His technique issues come when he's lined up a little farther out.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: As a three tech, I don't like him trying to win with speed.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Your strong as fuck, just run people over.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: So that's I guess his weakness technique wise, he tries too much shit when he's not in zero or one shade.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: I like him, I like them coming into the draft and so far, so far so good, you know?
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's only one game.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: And really you got to watch the games to actually notice where he's actually selling, right?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Because in a practice, first of all, it's really hard to see because you're watching a bunch of other things.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: You got to really sit down to watch every single snap.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: So you need to watch them play a game and then you need to sit there with the all-twenty-two and watch every single snap and see where he's winning, where he's losing.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: One shade, zero tech, he was an absolute bear to block on Sunday, arrow up, dude's twenty.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: They might have hit.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I understand that a lot of people, oh my god, shiters, the hunters, he threw for one hundred and thirty-five yards.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Teddy, he has an oblique injury and he's still forth in the depth chart.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to ruin that kid and Cleveland.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, maybe Miami rescues him from Cleveland.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy things have happened.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's only a philanthropic.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, what is the purpose of joint practice and does dominating or not dominating affect how the season will go as no effect whatsoever.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but it helps you to get some some reps against some live action, although joint practices can get mumbled.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: and jumbled and coaches do change things up consistently.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: So they're not really telling?
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: At least they haven't been for the last few years, right?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: While my image has been dominating all these joint practices, it's what you get out of them, it's how coaches manage the joint practices that matters.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Does the quietness of your Butler cancel out the loudness of your gardener?
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you boozy bastard.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was mentioning when I was in break that the gardener was was extremely loud outside.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, enough, he wasn't loud with all his tools.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was just loud talking to his buddy.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, hey, are you doing it?
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm, I'm listening to this and I'm like, dude, I gotta do a show in here.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you guys be quiet.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I just went outside and, you know, I just told them, guys, I'm doing something.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: I got to listen to something.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: So can you guys keep it down a little bit?
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: Or at least don't be screaming by my window.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: And they did.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's been really, really quiet.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a butler.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do have a dog, a little twelve-pound dog that I'm trying to teach to go get fetched me beers and shit like that.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: So does he count as a butler?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I guess I do have a bother.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Stamies Vinnie.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Do your sources think that they will, that the team will sign a corner back tight end or offensive tackle once cuts are made or are we just holding out hope?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, well, I can't talk about what my sources are thinking, but I think that they will make a trade at one of the surplus positions.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: You may think cornerback is cornerback a surplus position not on this team like they need all the help that they can get But they might trade one guy off of the cornerbacks if they make the determination that this guy will not contribute in the regular season Maybe we could swap on out for somebody else as far as an offensive tackle.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they will get into the waiver wire as cuts are made.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they will add an offensive tackle
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: As far as tight end, waiting for Darren Waller to come back, but in my estimation, they've had issues with everybody not named Darren Waller.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you had to ask me what's the problem with the tight end group right now, it's not a past catcher.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because I actually think that Titaniconic could be possible.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Passable in the sense that can we have a better passing attack with our tight ends than we did in twenty twenty three when we had the number one pass offense in the league.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: And when we had the number one offense,
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like you have you could be a much more productive Titan group than you were in twenty twenty three.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: But these guys just did not block well on Sunday.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's an area of concern because that could short circuit your run game.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: And in some instances is you're pesking if these guys are not on point.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: We know Julian Hill has kind of regressed.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: Farrow Brown I didn't think was very good on Sunday.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where I have some concern and I would be pounding the pavement to find a guy that can play in those roles.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: Also very, very disappointed in Hayden Ruchi on Sunday.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: He was not good and he was not good in all the physical aspects of a football, which is rare for him because usually you could count on something like that from him, right?
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question as we're winding down here is ties seem more opportunities with the first team after his week one performance.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I think he's going to start shuddling in.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like it, look, it's, it's a numbers game, right?
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: You got you taught to guys.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: You got Reak and, and, and Waddle, right?
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then you got Westbrook Akini who's going to play and he's, man, he's a weapon in the run game.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like he could just block.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good blocker.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Malik's really good.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's four.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ties is number five.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now can you get into a some type of rotation for the past game when there are an eleven personnel?
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I think that's a possibility.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: Meaning can he feel like let's say the river craycrap role.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's a numbers game man.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be hard to get snaps on this team as a wide receiver.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't hear a lot of Westbrook Akini mentions.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: How is he looking?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you saw him in the game gets open made a nice play.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: Thirty-six-yard game.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: You saw him on the opening play.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: You saw him hold the block for about four seconds with perfect techniques.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good blocker.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to be just fine.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that was a very, very good signing.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: Next
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: question, how was all he Gordon looking on his short yardage work now that it's his job to lose eye I did not see the the short yardage work today from all the Gordon I heard that the red zone period was not very good they start red zone period at around the eight yard line
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I mean, that red zone a goal line period.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: They run it around the eight yard line.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: They try to run four plays in from the eight yard line.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: So was the passing game failing them was was the running game failing them.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have any reports in that regard.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel good about him.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: You saw him in the game.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's it.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like my opinion, he should have scored on both.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's good at it.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what's better?
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: His college tape is really, really good at it.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: Next question in all seriousness and regards to joint practice have you seen majorly lopsided practices where the team who won sucks in the season I guess Miami last year, right?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like they technically won a close joint practice with the Falcons and they kicked the crap out of the commanders, right?
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: Commanders went to the NFC Championship game Miami one eight games.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess you could count that one
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, when a contract like ninety-two's, uh, is signed, do players typically do anything for the position coaches they like as a thank you sometimes yeah they have a dinner or they give out gifts.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they do.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'll also find it funny when we get past when we move the ball versus the second team, but when Detroit shuts down our second team receivers, we suck.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's a double standard.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: Good thing is that they play games and once they play games, everybody can shut the fuck up.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: Any more questions?
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: We have a few more.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: As far as, yeah, people asking me the beat, if they do things that are popular at the time, but what does I'll think if they lean either side hard, but don't blame them, look, the journalist.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a journalist, okay?
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: I am an analyst, so I'm gonna give you my opinion based on what I see.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: Journalists have to look at things critically.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so then I'm going to give you all the sunshine and rainbows that going to give you when good things happen.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to give you that.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: So there's always going to be a lean toward negative things happening.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not because that sells.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's because that's their training.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they're supposed to do.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: They're telling you everything's good, then why even bother, right?
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think they do a good job.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: They do a good job for what they're doing.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you want analysis, you know, tune in to three-year-old, you know, tune in to three-year-old, to lock down dolphins with cow crabs and tune in to Travis Onefield, who all do a fabulous job.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: You are in very, very good hands if you're a dolphins fan.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: Stay off Twitter.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see if I take two more questions.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: What positions should they focus on from the scrap pile of final cuts offensive tackle easily and a blocking tight end?
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Do we go after a corner back?
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: McLean then look good Sunday.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: Sounded like a good day today.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: Does he have special teams work under his belt?
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: But and then he writes are we buying stock?
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: He was damn good on Sunday.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, on second viewing, he was really, really, really good.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, he looks like a keeper.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, let me see.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take one more.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: Is McD really going to go into the season with wall having no preseason action?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's going to have no preseason action.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think he should return to practice next week like Jesus.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what are we doing?
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: Some of the rights, if the dog counts as a butler, is there a tax advantage?
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, there is.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: I could write off all his food, his vet bills, which are heavy.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Are you guys ever taking your dog to the vet?
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're the only ways like twelve pounds.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: And those vet bills are like three hundred bucks.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: And what the hell are you guys doing to him?
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we're checking him for this.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: We're checking him for that.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Jesus.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you go right all that stuff off.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: So my dog, yeah, I gotta get him a little took.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, he does own a tuxedo.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I just, you know, I wanted to dress him up in a tuxedo all the time and refer to him as my butler when people come over.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that way, people think I'm crazy and then they'll stop coming over.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: How do you see this going to be the last question?
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, how do you, in fact, I'll take two more and that's it.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: How do you see the last two drafts over also for damn good?
- 29:24[SPEAKER_00]: Last year's draft looks like a barn burner.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: This year, kind of like the optimistic, but last year's, man, if you're finding players from the bottom end of the draft in Malik Washington and Taj Washington and the top end of the draft has Chop Robinson and Patrick Paul.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you got to be optimistic, man.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: And this year, you know, all the defensive tackles, all the Gordon.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, I want to watch more.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: I want to watch more of Jason Marshall.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: His snaps were not bad on Sunday.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: Those were good snaps.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: All right, last question.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: Since Hill and Water come out for a lot of plays, could we see ties like being the permanent sub for either one.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, easily.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, he was playing Wattles position on Sunday for the most part.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe you can see something like that.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're going to call it right here.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: Again, if you want to participate in these shows, you got to go to Discord.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, when you go that, there you have to sign up and you sign up at discord.ggfortslash.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: Only friends and you sign up there.
