- 0:00Has anyone checked on Tyra Banks recently?
- 0:01Aussies, I'm looking specifically at you.
- 0:03Please tap in because she's up to something in your country
- 0:07and. Santa Claus that jealous?
- 0:09You just kept going, he said. Now she got magic with the
- 0:11deuce. What?
- 0:13And there was a optic wall that rolls up from the ground or that
- 0:17snow into the sky. I'm going crazy.
- 0:20Hey guys, it's up to emergency. Welcome back to my channel and
- 0:23welcome to the first video of 2026.
- 0:25Today we're all the talking about Tyra Banks because she's
- 0:28been up to a lot recently from basically recreating Creme
- 0:31Angelise, playing a tiny bit in RuPaul and Mariah Carey's bags
- 0:34and taking a wig, a pimple patch, an arguably AI generated
- 0:37song and a dream out to the clubs recently in Sydney,
- 0:40Australia. All in the name, mind you, of
- 0:42her ice cream brand promotion, or more so her hot ice cream
- 0:46brand promotion. Oh no, no, no, That wasn't Tyra.
- 0:48That was. To Smize.
- 0:50I'm Tyra. She Santa Smize, yellow hair,
- 0:52don't care. Crazy diva from the South Pole
- 0:55with a southern accent. Definitely not.
- 0:58You know what? I think she's actually going to
- 1:00be here at the Smize and Dream shop tonight.
- 1:02We have a party, this big party. She's going from Sydney to New
- 1:06York to bring my hot ice cream. Right, because there is honestly
- 1:09so much to get into and I for one am kind of concerned and I
- 1:13think you should be too, especially considering that the
- 1:15person we're talking about is the Tyra Banks.
- 1:18But I guess in order to fully get get into what's going on
- 1:20now, we do have to have a sort of baseline as to who is Tyra
- 1:24Banks. OK, on the off occasion that you
- 1:26may not know who this woman, Miss Tyra Banks is or might just
- 1:30need a dinner refresher, you may know or remember her from iconic
- 1:33pop culture historical moments such as and arguably most
- 1:46iconically creating these smiles as we know it today.
- 1:49You know the whole. But Tyra got her start as a
- 2:02model at age 15 and makes one of the 1st and few black models to
- 2:06achieve supermodel status, as well as the black woman to be on
- 2:09the cover of GQ and Sports Illustrated.
- 2:11She was also a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005.
- 2:15And regardless what your opinions may be on Tyra, it is
- 2:18an undeniable fact that she broke a lot of barriers in the
- 2:20industry and is a legend in her own right.
- 2:22Now as to if she helped to keep those barriers down, that was a
- 2:28conversation for another time. But in 2023, she created what
- 2:30would revolutionize for better or for worse, reality TV, the
- 2:34public access to the fashion world and women's views on
- 2:37themselves forever with that thing being America's Next Top
- 2:40Model, which trusts and believe we will be getting back to.
- 2:43And then in 2005, she had her own talk show called The Tyra
- 2:45Show, which again in its own right was something for sure.
- 2:49And if they would have let her, she could have gone on to be the
- 2:52next Wendy Williams with a flair for savory social experiments.
- 2:55I just know it. Having built her platform on
- 2:58using your perceived flaws as your strengths, she was the face
- 3:01for empowerment and breaking barriers in the modeling
- 3:04industry. She's even one on talk shows and
- 3:05spoke about her experience being bullied for her looks.
- 3:08You know, the very things that made her very unique and very
- 3:10successful in her career. And she's outwardly celebrated
- 3:12differences and diversity as a strength.
- 3:13But as most do and put in their own version of the Stanford
- 3:16Prison experiment, she failed when she got power in 2003, she
- 3:20created something that would be life changing for its
- 3:22participants and surely for the viewers.
- 3:24And I think the pool of people that this negatively impacted is
- 3:27definitely greater than who had benefited positively.
- 3:29But, you know, hey, life changing doesn't always mean for
- 3:31the better. I know many people remember
- 3:33watching the show when they were younger and probably still have
- 3:35some underlying PTSD from the different episodes that have
- 3:38aired, specifically those makeover episodes out of fear
- 3:40that, I don't know, someone's going to jump through the screen
- 3:42and bleach and buzz your hair off.
- 3:44Yeah. Entertainment in the early 2000s
- 3:45was brutal, to say the least. Many participants of America's
- 3:48Next Top Model have come out and talked about their experience.
- 3:51And aside from the moment where we saw the judges terrorize
- 3:53contestants on screen, allegedly, production conditions
- 3:56were also just as harsh with them denying them the ability to
- 3:58go to the bathroom, not being told where they're going or for
- 4:01how long, spending hours in these terrible conditions.
- 4:03Any list of horrors goes on, and many viewers note that Tyra and
- 4:06fellow judges were especially cruel to the black contestants.
- 4:09And of course, body shaming was free reign on anyone.
- 4:12The judges constantly made contestants do challenges that
- 4:15hold no real reason besides causing actual pain to the
- 4:18aspiring models, such as making them do a shoot in underwear and
- 4:21freezing temperatures and causing some to actually get
- 4:23hypothermia. Making go do a photo shoot in a
- 4:25coffin the day after her friend passed away.
- 4:27And mind you, there is no photo shoot that you need to be doing
- 4:30all that for. Tyra staying silent while judges
- 4:32were being especially cruel to Yaya for not choosing the
- 4:35stereotypical African hat. It was all just so weird and I
- 4:38think there's almost a like damn Tyra must know how hard the
- 4:41industry is if she thinks all this is OK.
- 4:43General response to all this but from my side of town the thought
- 4:45process is 1. She's a producer at the end of
- 4:48the day and the show lasted 24 seasons so you do the math.
- 4:51Cruelty clearly makes for great TV, and she must have known
- 4:54exactly what she was doing. And two, let's just humor the
- 4:57thought that she wasn't doing this on purpose and she is
- 4:59solely the victim of the industry herself.
- 5:01It's also a taleless oldest time.
- 5:02Victims of systems can sometimes go on to become the
- 5:05perpetrators, my friends. And after all these stories
- 5:07coming from contestants, I think it's fair to say that she at
- 5:10least caused a handful of girls mental and emotional harm
- 5:13unnecessarily. I think of the time tower's
- 5:14lauded for being empowering, for seemingly adding a democratizing
- 5:18element to the modeling industry, where girls from the
- 5:20middle of nowhere could come to Hollywood and potentially win a
- 5:22modeling contract. But plus size models #1 short
- 5:25contestants were eliminated. And there is very an episode
- 5:27that goes by without racial comments, those comments either
- 5:30having racial undertones or just being overtly racist.
- 5:33Stuff like you got girls coming on that show with flat tummies
- 5:35being called too fats. Hello.
- 5:37And it's the same issue that people have with like, girl boss
- 5:39feminism. It's not that the industry
- 5:40needed a black woman at the head of it.
- 5:42The industry itself was rotten. Harmful ideologies and standards
- 5:45are still harmful regardless of who's saying it.
- 5:47But of course, everything exists at a time and place.
- 5:49And during this time and place, this was considered progress.
- 5:52And in some cases it was like, no one can argue that it wasn't
- 5:55representation, but like, at what cost?
- 5:58I'm sure many of the contestants have moved on with their lives
- 5:59considering this was many years ago, and some do attribute the
- 6:02start of their successful careers now to this show jump
- 6:04starting it. And of course, all this comes to
- 6:06light in the great year of 2020. Or people nostalgic and
- 6:09chronically online as ever, went back to watch the old seasons of
- 6:11America's Next Top Model. And while it was enough to spark
- 6:14the hashtag Tyra's over party, and in true 2020 fashion, Tyra
- 6:18apologize for her years of egregious offenses by calling
- 6:21them really off choices. You know what?
- 6:23I really got to add that I went to the books.
- 6:25You know what? Actually Be remiss to not
- 6:27mention how the Tyra show won two Daytime Emmys, and that show
- 6:31included segments that before that time we're pretty
- 6:33progressive, having honest conversations about a myriad of
- 6:36subjects. But of course, it also had
- 6:38segments such as, I don't know, Tyra pretending to be homeless
- 6:41for a day, her wearing a fat suit for a day and crying about
- 6:43how judged she was for being overweight, only to then go and
- 6:45fat shame people on her other show and do general race swaps.
- 6:49Like the social experimentation was there.
- 6:51Like this feels like early YouTube at its finest, like the
- 6:54problematic social experiment and just do it for the likes and
- 6:57views. Like Tyra was the sister, but
- 6:59no, like in another life. I just know that Tyra Banks was
- 7:02a sociologist. But you know what's special
- 7:03about Tyra Banks? She's a woman of many talents.
- 7:05Besides being a supermodel, a judge, a host, a part time
- 7:07appropriator, among other offenses, she's also a very
- 7:10skilled interviewer. Beyoncé When was the last time
- 7:14you bought something in a store? Say on say Bree on Say Gray on
- 7:19Say Clay on Say Kiley Cyrus What celebrity have you met that made
- 7:24you really embarrassed, Nervous. Shy.
- 7:27Do with this information what you will, but that's enough of a
- 7:29brief history lesson for right now.
- 7:31I give all this exposition to sort of build this character in
- 7:35your head of Tyra Banks because recently she's been a hella
- 7:38active in the club in Australia in both the yellow wig and
- 7:41online. So let's talk about what is
- 7:44actually going on with Tyra Banks right now.
- 7:45Why am I bringing Miss Banks to the stand today?
- 7:47OK, because it's been a while since I heard Tyra's name.
- 7:49But on a very fateful day, I opened TikTok and across my For
- 7:52You page is a video of Tyra Banks promoting hot ice cream.
- 7:59I let that sink in for a second. And no, when I say hot ice
- 8:02cream, I do not mean melted ice cream.
- 8:04Hot ice cream. And she says she's been working
- 8:06very hard to create this product.
- 8:08And of course, as one does when they hear that a iconic
- 8:11supermodel is releasing something called hot ice cream,
- 8:13I had to go down a rabbit hole to hear more.
- 8:15Because what does any of that mean?
- 8:17And I honestly had no business keeping up with Tyra.
- 8:20But turns out I was behind. I was living under the rock.
- 8:24OK? Because Smice and Dream, an ice
- 8:27cream company mind you, had been her main focus since 2020-2021
- 8:31all the way back to Tara's over party.
- 8:33And I have to say, there is something so ironic about
- 8:35someone who invores such rigid weight loss and fat.
- 8:38Shame so many young girls to now be running and owning a ice
- 8:41cream brand. Like truly, there is a joke in
- 8:43there somewhere. And hopefully some healing in
- 8:45there as well. Now, before we continue, this
- 8:48next sequence of questioning came about in chronological
- 8:51order, so follow my thinking here.
- 8:52One, why are we making an ice cream company?
- 8:542, What do you mean by hot ice cream?
- 8:58Three, what the hell does ice cream but make it Mama mean?
- 9:03And finally, actually this is #1 why the hell are we in Sydney,
- 9:06Australia? And sure, there are answers on
- 9:09her website, but they aren't really substantive or
- 9:12satisfactory. Like they all feel like non
- 9:14answers. And I'm so sorry to disappoint,
- 9:16but this all really still seems like a mystery to me.
- 9:18However, like in the interviews that I see with her, like
- 9:21tasting and trying the hot ice cream with other people, like
- 9:23the people interviewing her are people that she's demonstrating
- 9:25it to all seem so baffled. They say that it tastes kind of
- 9:28good, but it kind of looks like they're just drinking like hot
- 9:30cocoa in my mind. It kind of reminds me of like
- 9:32when you're drinking like chocolate milk and you're like,
- 9:35oh, this is so good ice. I wonder what this would be like
- 9:37hot. I just know that hot chocolate
- 9:39milk would just really hit the spot.
- 9:40But then you realize that like hot chocolate milk is literally
- 9:42just hot chocolate. You know, I feel like hot ice
- 9:45cream is literally like just that, which I don't know if that
- 9:48really needs to be a full product.
- 9:49So like the jury is still up for that one.
- 9:50But something I do have context on is that last question or the
- 9:53first question of why Sydney, Australia?
- 9:56Well, I mean, like, not so much why Sydney, but more so why not
- 10:00DC or perhaps any of the other United States even.
- 10:03And this brings us to a conversation around real estate
- 10:06and specifically some drama around real estate, especially
- 10:08for you selling sunset vans out there.
- 10:10So her original flagship store was allegedly supposed to be in
- 10:13Washington, DC Shout out to all the DC baddies out there.
- 10:15As a former DC resident, I shout out to y'all.
- 10:17And allegedly she and her partner Louis Martin signed a 10
- 10:20year lease in a commercial building, but then ended up
- 10:22bailing within two years. And like signing for a
- 10:24commercial building for a business that you don't know
- 10:26what's going to take off is definitely bold to say the
- 10:29least. But as a result of this, she's
- 10:31allegedly being sued for breach of contract for $2.8 million,
- 10:35not including attorney fees or interest.
- 10:37So, yeah, as a filming this that is still ongoing.
- 10:40She also cites saying that she loved her time in Australia
- 10:43while she built her some ice cream empire.
- 10:45Why the factories out there? And no one knows.
- 10:47But she also says that Australia, along with the US and
- 10:49New Zealand, are the top three countries that eat ice cream.
- 10:52So it's a good place for that business.
- 10:54But also, like, the big question here is why venture into the
- 10:56dessert industry at all? The world will truly never know.
- 11:00And I'm sorry, but we must circle back to the high, not ice
- 11:03cream of it all because she is reaching so hard to make this a
- 11:05culinary first as mentioned on her website, even making the
- 11:08point to say that it is not a latte, not claim Angeles.
- 11:12It's a secret third thing like girl, why is Loki giving
- 11:15Champurado or like Atole vibes? Like shout out to me and the
- 11:18Latino. She also keeps emphasizing that
- 11:20there is a crazy global demand and that hot ice cream is just
- 11:23viral and that the world is so moved by this.
- 11:26And I'm just like, yeah, I guess I am here making a full YouTube
- 11:29video on this. But based on how social
- 11:30attraction has been for hot ice cream up until now, it seems
- 11:34like we're more so speaking this into existence.
- 11:37But believe it or not, the story here still continues her PR
- 11:40under her hot ice cream page on her website because yes, it
- 11:43requires a whole page. It's just so telling because
- 11:45it's either an article with a factual statement like Tyra
- 11:47Banks has invented hot ice cream, or like Tyra Banks
- 11:50confuses the Internet, which I think both are about accurate in
- 11:53her own words from the website. People are so confused by the
- 11:56idea of hot ice cream. It's mind boggling.
- 11:58I get it. But then you taste it and you're
- 12:00like, Oh, yes, I get it now. Like what are we actually
- 12:07talking about? Like I'm just secondhand
- 12:09stressed out over this. I'm sorry.
- 12:10And one of the big questions out of all this is like, what are
- 12:12people thinking about this? Is this actually good?
- 12:14And according to the court of TikTok opinion, the verdict is
- 12:17in. And honestly, all the reviews
- 12:20that I've seen say that it's pretty good.
- 12:22This whole video is really just like a campaign for me to be a
- 12:24part of the next campaign to be able to try it and maybe have a
- 12:27new rollout for the summer being like ice cream, but make a data
- 12:31like all of them low key compare it to something that staunchly
- 12:33says it's not like a hot milkshake or hot chocolate.
- 12:36But still, I guess a good review is a good review.
- 12:38OK now everyone cross your fingers there's going to be a
- 12:40pop up so I can try it and relax.
- 12:42So when I took a sip, I tasted it immediately.
- 12:47The best way I could describe it is like a hot milkshake.
- 12:50Like a milkshake with chocolate chip cookies, but not too much
- 12:53chocolate. It was actually really good and
- 12:56flavorful. I would definitely get it again.
- 12:58I've just started doing hot ice cream.
- 13:00Like what even is that? Comes in two flavors. 1 is
- 13:02Tara's favorite which is a salted caramel.
- 13:03I got the fairy dough flavor because it comes with this
- 13:05little white chocolate fairy dough slice.
- 13:06So yummy. So what exactly is it?
- 13:08It's a hot thick drink which is a weird sensation to sit through
- 13:10a straw. But as much as I wanted to hate
- 13:12it, I actually kind of loved it. It's like liquefy.
- 13:14OK, now the last thing I want to say about the website
- 13:16specifically is that she uses very suspiciously looking AI
- 13:20like models. And if they're not actually AI,
- 13:22then I'm sorry for being overly weary, but like also, come on,
- 13:25There's like no way. Like what happened to the
- 13:27literal models that she gave contracts to?
- 13:29Like, if this is AI, why are we using AI generated models for
- 13:32whatever this campaign is? Now we're getting to the section
- 13:35that I'm personally most excited to talk about and most confused
- 13:38and concerned about when it comes to this whole conversation
- 13:40around higher banks. And that is what has brought her
- 13:42a lot of attention as of late, which are her interesting
- 13:45marketing tactics and I guess you could call them bread
- 13:47activations. Tell you what he did.
- 13:49We got to get to the end of this.
- 13:51You know when Santa Claus tells you that he going to come down
- 13:56your chimney and he wants you to leave some cookies and grains on
- 14:01that thing for him to eat. Do you know what he doing?
- 14:06So he ain't biting that cookie, he ain't stepping that cream.
- 14:10He's taking a bowl from your cabinet, from your joint and
- 14:14you'll call it, he putting it on the thing.
- 14:17He putting a little bit of cookie, he putting a little bit
- 14:19of that milk, he mixing it up and he put it in your freezer
- 14:22and he's trying to make it taste like Santa and it taste like.
- 14:27Hot ice cream in here. You're hot because you're 52.
- 14:32I've been chilled since both. Santa Smyers has chill cool ice
- 14:38cream. At the moment I'm at a
- 14:39crossroads of like, what came first, the chicken or the egg?
- 14:42Like, was it Santa Smyers or that fable night at the club?
- 14:45Like, was the Santa Smyers character arc an attempt to spin
- 14:47the narrative of an alleged feud performance?
- 14:50Like, truly, who's to say? But like also, Tara has always
- 14:53been a bit theatrical. Oh my God, that's her pole.
- 15:05Kick her pole. Don't
- 15:18Today you are going to worry about action.
- 15:21So some are speculating that this is just normal terror
- 15:23behavior, while others are convinced that she's on the
- 15:26slopes. I for one am almost convinced
- 15:28that this unique to say the least, world building is damage
- 15:31control. I can't believe it because she
- 15:33hates me. She hates that I haven't been in
- 15:35hot ice cream. But she's going to do me a solid
- 15:38and she's going to take it from Sydney to New York and she's
- 15:41doing a big party tonight and it's like free ice cream.
- 15:43And I think she said something like, oh, nobody's just crazy,
- 15:46but party tonight. 8:00 Here. She'll be here.
- 15:50I won't. By the way, anything she says
- 15:52about me is a lie. She's crazy.
- 15:55If you don't hear it from her my mouth, it's not true.
- 16:03Like I always err on the side of caution when it comes to alleged
- 16:05celebrity crash outs because this definitely looks like that.
- 16:08Because oftentimes these celebrity crash outs are just
- 16:11like these celebrities versions of humor of them trying to troll
- 16:14or like be part of a meme or be part of a roll out.
- 16:16And sometimes it is a true crash out and we should address that
- 16:18with the concern that it deserves.
- 16:20I just have no idea what I'm watching.
- 16:22I have no idea what this is. And aside from speculation
- 16:25because it's honestly none of my business, I feel that she does
- 16:28have the mind of a mastermind. See, I'm telling you, I have the
- 16:31mind of a master. Master.
- 16:33I have the mind of a mastermind. What's that?
- 16:36Because honestly, who would think to have a Christmas time
- 16:38arch nemesis? Like it is so specific.
- 16:41Like Tyra attended the RuPaul Business School of alter ego,
- 16:44but I am suspecting that she dropped out a few semesters too
- 16:47early because the wig on Santa's mice.
- 16:49Like you already know that RuPaul will pull up with a full
- 16:52beat mug and a one of one gown and the nastiest wig you've ever
- 16:57seen. Like it's time to enroll Tyra
- 16:59for another semester. And this is all jokes don't get
- 17:01me wrong but the same this mice official video does use an
- 17:04egregious amount of AI which I already know I'm not the hugest
- 17:07AI stand but my thing is like if you're going to use it at least
- 17:10make it look good. And of course the whole Santas
- 17:13mice business itself can bring up many different questions but
- 17:16the main one that I have is like why are you trying to come after
- 17:18Mariah Carey's back? I'm like girl you saw the
- 17:20backlash when she was getting over her AB and said this is my
- 17:23chance y'all going to buy this hot ice cream today?
- 17:26Anyways, I found the Sarah Banks new lore formulation to be quite
- 17:30the rabbit hole and quite fascinating and honestly on
- 17:33level was quite concerning because there is a lot going on
- 17:35here and it's clear that we're just bearing witness to a very
- 17:38stark rebrand when it comes to the persona of Tyra Banks.
- 17:41Is this necessarily the best rebrand for her?
- 17:43Time will tell. I for one just can't wait to see
- 17:45what she does next and truly I'm not sure whether to be excited
- 17:49or scared.
