- Sue: As I'm recording this, it is the summer solstice. atmosphere and my late husband was a druid, so the summer and the winter solstices were particularly significant to him. It is also less than a week to the date that was his birthday and he would have celebrated 70 years this year. So the confluence of his birthday and the summer solstice meant historically that we always had some sort of celebration. My husband used to like brewing hard cider from the local apple orchards and that was a feature as well of our parties. If he sometimes brewed it with super yeast, we had a lot of truth serum on our hands. People would glug down a pint of the cider not understanding that it even though they were told that it was twelve percent, much like glugging a bottle of wine all at once, or slide off the couch. Or collapse in a heap in our bathroom, not ill, but just needing a chance to reconnect with themselves. Confirmation with a chipmunk. My husband considered the winter solstice to be the most important day of his year, signifying the beginning of a new year. It was the reason why he wanted to get married on a sol winter solstice. This is the day with the longest daylight. And of course from my from my perspective, while I value the summer solstice, it's only because that's the prelude to my birthday next month. And so for me, the days may be getting shorter by the time my birthday comes around, but it certainly feels like We're in the peak of summer. Beautiful daylight. But in this part of the world, which is southeast New York State, where we're on the eastern edge of the eastern time zone means that we get dusk at around eight thirty at night, twenty thirty. And certainly by five AM there's enough daylight to get up and at ⁓ I sleep in till six. When we used to throw the summer solstice party. We soon learned after a little bit of attrition from the over imbibing of the hard cider, what size of gathering is best for the two of us. 'Cause I think after all, you know, you want to have all your friends and celebrating with you at once, but at the same token as hosts. We like to chat and hang out. And it's kinda hard to do that when you're hosting. 'Cause you want everybody to have a good time, make sure that their needs are met and So we've over the years pared down the the guest list. And as I approach my sixty fifth birthday next month, I'm looking at the same thought. This will be the first time that if I choose to go forward with it, that I will have had a party at the house following my husband's death about four and a half years ago. It's the first time that I feel financially I can afford. To throw a party, even if it's mostly a potluck BYOB stand up running. And it's also probably the first time in four and a half years where there's enough space in the house again for people to feel as though they have ample relaxing space. And I think about this in the context that something as simple as losing a job and the impact of that along with maybe other events that happen to coincide to create this period of time where it's probably closer to a decade since we last had a party. Course this party won't have homemade cider. That tradition went with him with him to the grave. And while I'm not a teetotler per se, I don't stock my house with alcohol, so I look at all of this opportunity to have friends celebrate my sixty fifth birthday as a very low key but balanced sharing of food and drink with one another. All these friends that are still around are like myself, almost ten years older, so Life changes, your body changes, your habits change and might not be a old school party, but it will be new generation. I suppose if you're listening to this, watching this video, if you want to come celebrate, maybe I should do a YouTube live stream. If that seems to be of interest, we'll work something out. My life is so mundane that the live stream is not going to be ⁓ exciting. Well, to me anyway. Who knows what vicarious thrills you get. I don't know about you all in the friends and family in your life and celebrating your birthday, but there was a time in my life where between my work colleagues and social friends I would have this practically whole month of dinners and lunches. Don't necessarily have to celebrate on the day itself. It's the occasion that is the reason for the celebration and so now Of course that all got temporarily sidelin with the fact I didn't have money to spend, so there was no point in going out. I don't you know, somebody says that they want to treat me to lunch, that's fine, but I always like to have enough cash for me to pay for the whole thing just in case I feel motivated or inspired to do so. I didn't have that for a while. That's okay. Last year I kept to myself on my birthday, as I as I normally do. As I say, this is the first year and I think significant because of my husband's fifth birthday since his death. D five, it seems fitting to have a excuse to have a gathering. Last year I was keeping things very quiet and I received the gift of a former gangster offering to buy my house. So I wonder what excitement will will happen this year. Wherever that's at, I've long since accustomed to celebrating such holidays solo. And and really enjoy it. People can feel free to celebrate with me at any time. It doesn't have to be on a designated time and date. There's no such thing as time anyway. And climbed up at a friend's house on a rock to rete retrieve Rita. And as I descended, lost my footing. ⁓ Slid on the rock onto the gravel and caught myself. Had I not kept my balance, I would have hit my head on a very large bit of granite rock. The host, quite surprised that it wasn't more tragic. So to the martini fueled kitchen witches, who went to the practitioner in Mexico to get some self delete ritual on me done, you didn't do it right and it didn't work. And I'm gonna tell you right now, boldly, as an earth angel with the destiny of a deep prophecy in place of which you know that you can't subvert, you'll never be successful. Yeah, physical life has a ⁓ has a mortality to it when it's time. Although I'd call that divine timing. This wasn't that. If it wasn't Mexico somewhere in the Caribbean. Could have been multiple trips. At the very least, the kitchen witches are spending money that they're never gonna get back. They're not gonna get any services for the money they paid. They've been repeatedly warned to stop. And as I've mentioned before, they are under control by a diabolic energy whose tormented mission is to ensure that this ancient soul, along with my eternal love ancient soul, are to never come together. Together in this lifetime to do the work the universe has set in place for us to do, and they will stop at nothing. They will always attack their torment or selling their soul to the devil. And of course the practitioners that they hired, they might not be psychic, but they might have the gift to know whether or not the telepathically their rituals landed, which also means that they understand what spiritual trespassing is, and still proceed forward. Whatever. One of the features in this area of summer. Are the fireflies that have started to light up the evenings. And of course the raspberries are coming into ripe. I had the first two today, speaking of mundane dings, and that is the reminder why I love summer. So if wherever you are in the world and whichever solstice you're celebrating today, if any, maybe you don't celebrate the significance of solstices. Thank you for listening. I appreciate you sharing your energy with me today.
