  SPEAKER_00: And ultimately, why why is now the right time?

  SPEAKER_00: The Reborn Podcast initially began as a podcast that was for my own personal development, my own accountability, that then led to growth in my own life and the ability to share that uh with my community and with other people who I was surrounded by.

  SPEAKER_00: And ultimately what it's become is the blend of faith, business, and real estate.

  SPEAKER_00: And many people they don't believe in this day and age that you can blend faith and business.

  SPEAKER_00: You have to keep them completely separate, and that's not the truth.

  SPEAKER_00: When I started my company, that's what I did.

  SPEAKER_00: I kept my company and my faith completely separate, and it led me to burnout.

  SPEAKER_00: But now when I've blended them together, we've not only grown as a company, we've grown in our faith, and it's been life-changing.

  SPEAKER_00: This podcast is for anyone who is looking to become the best possible version of themselves, but specifically, it's gonna be best for faith-driven entrepreneurs, real estate investors, real estate agents, and and and those curious about learning more about real estate, faith, and general personal development.

  SPEAKER_00: One thing I am huge on is integrating all parts of the human experience, meaning health, wealth, and relationship.

  SPEAKER_00: So I I have a few verses I want to read to you guys.

  SPEAKER_00: And that first one is or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?

  SPEAKER_00: You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.

  SPEAKER_00: So glorify God and your body.

  SPEAKER_00: Not only is this podcast about business, this podcast is about personal development.

  SPEAKER_00: And to me, I believe that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.

  SPEAKER_00: Your body is God's temple, and how we treat it, what we put into it, what we do with it, should be glorifying to God.

  SPEAKER_00: Not only that, but Colossians 3 and 23 to 24 says, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

  SPEAKER_00: Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward, it is the Lord Christ you are serving.

  SPEAKER_00: So again, faith in business can be and should be one and the same.

  SPEAKER_00: There's a word I love, it's called avoda.

  SPEAKER_00: It's from Hebrew, it means service, work, and worship all in one.

  SPEAKER_00: As far as who I am, how I got started, real estate, business ownership, and how personally faith influences my work, my life, how I wake up, how I go to sleep, my my entire life.

  SPEAKER_00: I grew up in a family that uh my dad was actually part of a church and he uh played the piano and sang.
• 5:27
  SPEAKER_00: But um, you know, I in third grade when I was about 10 years old, uh, we moved to a bigger part of town, Carmel, Indiana, and from there began mental health struggles.
• 5:41
  SPEAKER_00: And with those mental health struggles, I became isolated, became depressed, uh, I became socially anxious, and ultimately it was almost as if I was dead in the darkness that surrounded me, that felt overwhelming, like something I could never ever get through but God.

  SPEAKER_00: And so in high school, with one semester left, amidst all that trial, all that mental health, intensive therapy, uh, multiple physical fights with family members.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, I came to a point where with one semester left of high school, I first of all, I ended up in inpatient therapy.
• 6:25
  SPEAKER_00: I then uh dropped out of high school.
• 6:28
  SPEAKER_00: I then got kicked out of my parents' house.
• 6:31
  SPEAKER_00: I moved into a rental and I got evicted three months later because I couldn't afford the rent.

  SPEAKER_00: And from there, I rebuilt.
• 6:40
  SPEAKER_00: I rebuilt who I am and and and God walked me through that.
• 6:44
  SPEAKER_00: God led me through that.
• 6:46
  SPEAKER_00: I started with getting in shape.
• 6:48
  SPEAKER_00: I was 260 pounds.
• 6:50
  SPEAKER_00: I'm about 190 now and love fitness, not only for the the fitness aspect, but for what it does for your mind, your body, and your soul.

  SPEAKER_00: Remember, we are seeking to glorify God with with with our bodies as temples.

  SPEAKER_00: I then got into real estate, and I um I made$900 in two months.
• 7:13
  SPEAKER_00: It's not the glorious story that you hear online about about real estate.

  SPEAKER_00: I did not do great.
• 7:21
  SPEAKER_00: I left the company I was with within two months, and I went out.
• 7:25
  SPEAKER_00: I thought I knew everything, and uh I was trying to do everything.
• 7:29
  SPEAKER_00: And so six months I made probably about another two grand, uh, being on my own.

  SPEAKER_00: And then Reborn Homes launched, we got focused, we got dialed in, and ultimately got that first deal that really started um our company and and and and pushed us forward.

  SPEAKER_00: Um and then there was significant investment in uh in coaching and different things like that that definitely propelled us forward.

  SPEAKER_00: September 2023.

  SPEAKER_00: I found Christ, I accepted him, I invited him into my life.

  SPEAKER_00: Fast forward to April 7, 2024.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, Ethan Fernober, a close mentor of mine, baptized me.
• 8:15
  SPEAKER_00: He's a local, well-renowned uh entrepreneur, investor, uh minister in our in our city of Indianapolis, and has changed my life for the better through the Spirit of God.

  SPEAKER_00: Um July 7, 2024, I gave my first message at a church, and it just has been an upward uh and to the right journey from there.

  SPEAKER_00: Um not to say that there's not been trials, God will always persevere through the trials, and that's why he calls us to have faith.

  SPEAKER_00: If we are not faithful, we can't make it.

  SPEAKER_00: We see Peter Simon walk on water, and as soon as he looks away from from the Lord, he starts to sink.

  SPEAKER_00: It's the same thing with any challenges that we ever go through.

  SPEAKER_00: But as I mentioned, in the beginning of Reborn Homes, I launched and it was just about the money.

  SPEAKER_00: And so it came to a point where there was no mission, there was no vision, there was no purpose, no deeper calling behind it.

  SPEAKER_00: And so ultimately it led to burnout.
• 9:36
  SPEAKER_00: And I shut down the business for three months.
• 9:38
  SPEAKER_00: I thought I did not want to be in the industry anymore because I wanted to be in ministry and it didn't feel at the time like my business was a ministry, and so now after having shut it down, I relaunched it and we were able to relaunch it the right way where we had renewed purpose, renewed mission, renewed calling in our company.

  SPEAKER_00: And now today we have a company that is seeking to genuinely serve God and be a ministry in business.

  SPEAKER_00: There's a there's a term I love, it's BAM, B-A-A-M, Business as a ministry.

  SPEAKER_00: Reborn homes exists to revitalize homes and restore communities, believing every person, regardless of age, race, background, or belief, deserves safe housing, meaningful living, and a place to thrive.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, if you heard my story personally a second here ago, you can maybe start to understand why we believe those things.

  SPEAKER_00: As far as the core values, what we what we look to seek with, uh what we look look to serve, uh how we look to serve is one, commit with integrity, pursue excellence, say what you mean, do it well, no overpromising, and no mediocrity.

  SPEAKER_00: I love what I do for work now.

  SPEAKER_00: I it's a it's a ministry, I love what I do for work.

  SPEAKER_00: That doesn't mean you can't not have systems.

  SPEAKER_00: So let structured systems support data-driven decisions.

  SPEAKER_00: Third, grow relentlessly.

  SPEAKER_00: Again, that's not just in the business.

  SPEAKER_00: We encourage our team, our vendors, everyone that we come in contact with to push past limits, take risks.

  SPEAKER_00: Faith fuels progress.
• 11:20
  SPEAKER_00: Fourth, speed matters.
• 11:22
  SPEAKER_00: Act with urgency.
• 11:23
  SPEAKER_00: Time is a stewardship.
• 11:25
  SPEAKER_00: We believe that we are here to serve and that we work for the Lord.

  SPEAKER_00: And if the Lord's calling you, we want to go.

  SPEAKER_00: We want to be obedient, we want to go as soon as he says go.

  SPEAKER_00: So speed matters.

  SPEAKER_00: Fifth is just serve.

  SPEAKER_00: God handles the rest.

  SPEAKER_00: Serve wholeheartedly, trust God with the outcome.

  SPEAKER_00: Sixth, faith over fear.

  SPEAKER_00: Choose faith when fear speaks loudest.

  SPEAKER_00: And seven, diligence over delay.
• 11:51
  SPEAKER_00: We take the time to do things right the first time because seconds of care now save hours of corrections later.

  SPEAKER_00: So ultimately, why am I sharing this with you?

  SPEAKER_00: He was in the in the garden saying, Father, if there's another way, and yet he was so sacrificial where he still made that sacrifice for the love of the world.

  SPEAKER_00: And that's how we believe in doing business.

  SPEAKER_00: You also hear the behind the scenes of running a real estate business, what really goes into it, what troubles there are.

  SPEAKER_00: Because I I'll tell you what, we're scaling, we're growing, we're doing great.

  SPEAKER_00: There's still late nights, there's still early mornings, there's still fires left and right to put out.
