- 0:00Welcome to Frontline static, we will get to hear interviews with
- 0:02some of my clients journeys of getting into flight and how they
- 0:05utilize coaching to help them create success of getting hired
- 0:08with less confusion and more ease.
- 0:10Make your dream a reality of getting into flight.
- 0:12Listen in as you hear some of the stories of the people
- 0:14getting there and come join the flight prep group.
- 0:17Hey you guys, welcome to how to become a flight nurse podcast
- 0:20episode 127. Leaving room for a little bit of
- 0:23magic. Before I talk to you guys about
- 0:25this, I just wanted to thank those of you guys who are
- 0:29listening on a regular basis. I have had several people my
- 0:33probably my last three clients who have come to work with me,
- 0:36whether it's in my one-on-one or whether it's in the flight prep
- 0:39Academy tell me that they found me on the podcast.
- 0:42They've been listening to the episodes.
- 0:44They have found so much value and have implemented the things
- 0:48that I've talked about that it has created interviews for them,
- 0:52ride alongs for them. But they want just a little bit
- 0:55more of the missing pieces of the five step process and then
- 0:58ongoing support to help them kind of go to the next level and
- 1:03get them hired and get them on track.
- 1:05And so I just wanted to take this moment to thank you guys
- 1:10who are listening on a regular basis and who find a lot of
- 1:14value in these episodes. I am having a lot of fun
- 1:18creating them for you and thinking about what is the most
- 1:22valuable thing that I can talk to you about each week?
- 1:25What are the topics that I'm seeing a lot of my clients deal
- 1:28with currently? What are some of the things that
- 1:29I know that you're facing, obstacles that you're facing,
- 1:32and how I can just give you value and help you in this
- 1:35process of trying to get to flight in a longer amount of
- 1:39time than just a minute and 30 seconds in Reels on Instagram.
- 1:43So I'm really enjoying doing this.
- 1:46And then as always, like keep giving me feedback on this.
- 1:49If you guys follow me or listen to to me on this on this podcast
- 1:55or follow me on Instagram or tick Tock, please let me know if
- 1:58there's certain content or certain things that you want me
- 2:01to go over, I'm happy to kind of talk about them.
- 2:03I love also talking about the mindset piece of it.
- 2:06I'm a life coach and flight coach and so I love bringing in
- 2:11the strategy of getting to flight along with the mindset
- 2:13piece. So if there's any topics that
- 2:16you haven't heard on here that you would really like me to
- 2:18cover, please reach out to me. You can e-mail me or DM me on
- 2:22Instagram or TikTok and let me know what those are.
- 2:24OK, this week I am talking to you about leaving room for a
- 2:28little bit of magic. This is a topic that I talk
- 2:31about all the time inside my program.
- 2:34So what does this mean? This means that I see a lot of
- 2:39you guys very focused on your plan and it being going from A
- 2:44to B, meaning you express interest in a base, you get an
- 2:50interview to a base and then you get an offer for that base.
- 2:53A lot of you guys think that's how it works in flight when
- 2:56you're trying to get into flight, that you think that,
- 2:58hey, I am really interested in this company, I'm really
- 3:01interested in this base. I'm going to put in an
- 3:03application, then I'm going to get an interview, and then I'm
- 3:06getting an offer for that base. And most of the times, very
- 3:09little of the times it ever works that way.
- 3:11Meaning when you leave a little bit room for magic, you realize
- 3:16getting the flight isn't linear. And I know a lot of you guys
- 3:19who've been doing it for a long time or have been trying to do
- 3:23it maybe outside of my programs, you know, it's not linear.
- 3:27It's five steps forward, 4 steps back, five steps forward, 10
- 3:30steps back. It is a process that isn't.
- 3:36You can't go from A to B very easily, meaning you have to be
- 3:39adaptable, you have to be dynamic.
- 3:40There's a lot of fails and there's a lot of winds.
- 3:43And So what I mean by leaving room for a little bit of magic
- 3:46is getting out of this chronological order that our
- 3:49brain offers us since we've been in nursing school that you do
- 3:52this, this, this and this. And this is going to be the
- 3:54outcome. You have to be able to throw all
- 3:58of that away. So I am going to give you an
- 4:01examples of leaving room for a little bit of magic for me.
- 4:04When I say that that means flight is not linear.
- 4:09It means you can take a lot of actions to be doing one thing.
- 4:13Like for example, you could be doing ride alongs for one
- 4:16company and you could be doing the ride alongs at different
- 4:21bases. And then all of a sudden they
- 4:23invite you to an interview at bases that you've never done
- 4:25ride alongs with. And then you get an offer at
- 4:29multiple bases. Maybe it's not even at the bases
- 4:31that you did the interviews for and you accept an offer for a
- 4:36base that you've never done a ride along for, but it's closer
- 4:39to home. That's leaving room for a little
- 4:41bit of magic. So what I want to do is I want
- 4:43to give you guys some examples of this.
- 4:47People inside my programs that I have coached either one-on-one
- 4:51or inside the flight Prep Academy where magic has happened
- 4:54for them and it hasn't been linear for them getting to
- 4:56flight because this happens more often than it doesn't.
- 5:00This is why in my 5 step process, which includes getting
- 5:04your brand on board with your flight mindset #2 mapping out
- 5:08your plan to getting to flight all the way from where you're
- 5:11starting #3 is doing ride alongs, making connections,
- 5:14networking with companies. This is the biggest one.
- 5:17Number four is getting your resume flight ready and then #5
- 5:21is prepping confidently for flight interviews.
- 5:24This is a 5 step process that I teach inside the Flight Park
- 5:27Academy. If you're following me on my
- 5:28social media, on TikTok and Instagram, you're seeing I'm
- 5:31talking about the five step process this week.
- 5:33But I want you to know that in this five step process, you want
- 5:37to leave magic room for magic for all of these things.
- 5:39And doing ride alongs and making connections is really key in
- 5:42leaving magic for that. Because the reason why you want
- 5:46to be doing this is that they get to know you.
- 5:48You're dating them. This is the dating situation.
- 5:51You're getting to know them, They're getting to know you.
- 5:53And the reason why you want to do this earlier on is that they
- 5:58will be able to start to know you.
- 6:00And then when positions open or you're getting close to your
- 6:03three years or even before your three years, they're going to
- 6:06invite you to be a part of their team.
- 6:07They're going to already be bought into you.
- 6:10Then it's automatically, the next thing is you're going to
- 6:12have an interview, then they're already going to want you before
- 6:15the interview. So being bought into you before
- 6:17an interview is huge. That's you're just going through
- 6:23the matters of like just doing the interview and getting a yes
- 6:26from them and then getting an offer.
- 6:28And so this is where this is how you want to have yourself lined
- 6:31up. And sometimes this might take
- 6:34some time. So you want to start this as
- 6:36early as a nursing school or medic school.
- 6:38It whenever as early as you know that you want flight so that you
- 6:41can get that offer, you can get multiple offers and you really
- 6:44have a choice in in deciding which company you want to work
- 6:48for too. So I'm going to give you a
- 6:51couple examples of what leaving a room for magic means and it
- 6:55not being linear and getting to flight.
- 6:57So this means where a lot of where I where I see a lot of
- 7:04this happen is people think, oh, I'm going to just be focused on
- 7:08one base. And then I'm going to, I'm going
- 7:10to apply for and then I'm going to get an interview and then I'm
- 7:13getting an offer on this base. But I want to give you examples
- 7:15of how people inside my program have done it a little bit
- 7:18differently and I've left Room for Magic and I've gotten
- 7:20really, really what they've wanted.
- 7:23So if you haven't had a chance, go back to episodes ago and
- 7:27listen to Skyler. She's one of the most recent
- 7:30clients who I helped get hired inside the Flight Prep Academy.
- 7:33And I have another one coming up soon in the next couple weeks.
- 7:36So listen out for that. I have another client who just
- 7:39got hired as well. So we're going to be doing an
- 7:41interview with her. But if you listen to her
- 7:43interview, the example that she gave in it is that she had been
- 7:47doing a ride along with one of the bases that she really wanted
- 7:51that was really close to home for her.
- 7:53And then a position position opened within the same company
- 7:57but at a different base. It was a little bit further
- 7:59along. So she further away from her
- 8:01hometown. So she interviewed for that one
- 8:03base. They liked her a lot.
- 8:05She had been doing right along. So they had were already bought
- 8:08into her before the interview. During the interview they only
- 8:10had to ask her one psychosocial question because she answered it
- 8:13so well and because she had already shown who she was, what
- 8:16she valued, and the team player that she was prior to in the
- 8:19interview, which is all they are looking for.
- 8:21They are not looking for time and experience.
- 8:23If you got the interview, your time experience has already been
- 8:25met. So during the interview you
- 8:27don't want to spend time talking about your time and experience,
- 8:29you just want them to get to know you.
- 8:31And she answered it so well. Only got 1 psychosocial
- 8:34question. But here's where she left a room
- 8:36for a little bit of magic. So the base that she really
- 8:39wanted was the one that was closer to home.
- 8:42And after she got the offer, then very next day they said,
- 8:48hey, we're going to train you for this base.
- 8:51It's a little bit further away, but we want you to know in six
- 8:53months there's going to be an opening at the one closer to
- 8:55home that you want. And she said, yes, I'll take it.
- 8:58So they are going to be training her, but sick.
- 9:01In six months she will be able to move into the base that is
- 9:04closer to her home and the number one base that she wanted
- 9:07to work at. So there was an example of where
- 9:11a little bit of magic happened. She interviewed for one
- 9:13position, but then they offered her one that was going to be
- 9:16closer to home in six months, and that was the one that she
- 9:19really wanted. I also had another client, maybe
- 9:24it's been about six months, maybe a little bit longer since
- 9:27she's been flying, but she interviewed for a travel
- 9:29position and travel position, travel flight nurse positions
- 9:32are so interesting. I'm seeing them do this a lot
- 9:34more now and I wonder if they were open for me, maybe I would
- 9:39have considered doing it. But it was a travel position
- 9:43where I believe it was like 16 days on and then you had eight
- 9:47days off and you would travel to another state.
- 9:51And so she interviewed for this position because she was kind of
- 9:54really willing to go anywhere and she wanted to get her foot
- 9:56in the door. And this position opened up this
- 10:00this particular flight company liked her a lot.
- 10:03She got the call back. I don't remember how soon after
- 10:08it was after she had an interview, but she called, she
- 10:10got a call back and the company said, hey, we would like to
- 10:16actually offer you 2 positions. This traveling position is yours
- 10:20if you want it, But also there's a base that's closer to where
- 10:24you live, where there's a position that just opened up.
- 10:27Do you want that? And she said, of course, I want
- 10:29the one closer to home. And so there is another example
- 10:33of how when you interview, you're not, you're not
- 10:38particularly interviewing or specifically interviewing for
- 10:40that one base. You were you were interviewing
- 10:42for the whole company, meaning if they like you a lot, this
- 10:46opens you up to all different other bases.
- 10:48And also I'm going to give you another example about this as
- 10:53well as it opens you up for any bases in any of the companies.
- 10:59I'll just give you this one now because I think it's pertinent.
- 11:01I had a client who got hired probably a little over a year
- 11:04ago and his story was that he interviewed for a couple
- 11:12positions on different ends of California 'cause he lived in
- 11:15California. So a different bases in
- 11:19California that were different way different areas.
- 11:21Like there, I think there were four or five years, five hours
- 11:24apart and he didn't get either one of those positions.
- 11:29He didn't get an offer. But base managers talk, meaning
- 11:34base managers talk with other base managers all over other
- 11:37states. And then he put in an
- 11:39application in a in a different state for a position.
- 11:44And as soon as he put in the application, he got a call for
- 11:47an offer. He didn't even have to
- 11:49interview. And the reason this happened for
- 11:52him was because the base managers at in the in California
- 11:56had already spoke to this base vendor, said, yeah, we really
- 12:00liked him. For whatever reason, we went
- 12:01with an internal applicant or someone else, but we really
- 12:04liked him. This base manager in another
- 12:06state didn't even have to interview him.
- 12:08They just gave him an offer letter and he accepted.
- 12:12And I know he's in the process of trying to get back to
- 12:14California and get to a base that's closer, but now working
- 12:18for the same company. He's going to be an internal
- 12:21applicant. So when a position opens up
- 12:24that's closer to home in California, he's going to be the
- 12:27first one on the list. So that was another example of
- 12:32leave room for a little bit magic.
- 12:33He didn't even interview for that position.
- 12:35He didn't even have to because base managers talk and flight
- 12:39companies are all over the United States.
- 12:42So I want you guys to consider that and think about that when
- 12:44you're in your interviews, you're getting people, clinical
- 12:49educators, directors, base managers, people who aren't even
- 12:54clinical in your interviews that are all over the US.
- 12:58So if they like you and for some reason you didn't get the
- 13:01interview because it was an internal applicant or they went
- 13:03with someone else, they will consider you for other
- 13:05opportunities. And if they really liked you,
- 13:07they're going to offer you positions and other places and
- 13:09ask you first over everybody else if this is something that
- 13:13you're interested in. So you always want to be upfront
- 13:15too about which states, which cities, which places are you
- 13:19willing to go? And my job for all of you guys
- 13:23is to, and this is really common inside my group to get multiple
- 13:26offers so that you have the choice.
- 13:29And hopefully you've been quote UN quote dating them, doing ride
- 13:32alongs with them. So that you have an idea of I
- 13:34always tell everybody, make a list one through 5 or however
- 13:37many you're dating and doing ride alongs with what what are
- 13:40your top one through 5 so that you always have your eye on the
- 13:43prize. And that, you know, if you get
- 13:45multiple offers, kind of which ones you're going to, you've
- 13:47sifted through in your mind which one you're going to
- 13:49choose. OK, Another example of leaving
- 13:54room for magic is I had another client.
- 13:57Oh, this wasn't that long ago actually, maybe this was maybe 4
- 14:01or 6 months ago. She had interviewed for a part
- 14:03time position, but wanted a full time position.
- 14:06And then after the interview a full time, they knew a full time
- 14:10position was going to be opened up.
- 14:11So she accepted a full time. So same as same as example as
- 14:18before is don't expect just because you're interviewing for
- 14:20a part time position, it's gonna to be part time.
- 14:22If you really want full time, express your interest in that
- 14:25and interview for it. So if there's a per diem or a
- 14:28part time position open up. I know that this is hard for new
- 14:31flight nurses to get, but I have helped several people get part
- 14:34time and per diem positions in the last couple months.
- 14:37It's not impossible. You just want to be able to
- 14:40communicate before your interview in your write alongs
- 14:43and connections, who you are, what you value, the team player
- 14:46you are, and then effectively communicate that to everybody on
- 14:49the panel interview as well. So that's what's key about
- 14:53getting those part time and per dam positions.
- 14:57And also this was my scenario, you guys, I don't know actually
- 14:59if I've ever mentioned it or talked about it on the podcast,
- 15:03but when I wanted to get into flight, there was only a part
- 15:05time position open in the company that I wanted to work
- 15:08for. And so I actually did, I don't
- 15:13think I did 2 interviews right away.
- 15:14I just did one flight interview. I left flight for a little bit
- 15:19and came back and then actually applied to another flight
- 15:22company and did 2 flight interviews.
- 15:24But I left for just a little small amount of time and did a
- 15:28nurse manager position and then ended up wanting to come back
- 15:31into the flight line. But the very first time that I
- 15:35applied for flight, the company that I wanted to work for was
- 15:39about an hour away and it was just a part time position.
- 15:42I was like, you know, this is like I just want to get in no
- 15:45matter what. So I interviewed, I expressed it
- 15:47in that I wanted a full time position.
- 15:49And I think they called me. It had been, it was a while.
- 15:51They made me sweat for a little while.
- 15:52It was probably a week or two later, they called me back and
- 15:55they said, hey, we wanted to offer you this part time
- 16:00position. I'm like great, let's go.
- 16:01And then literally the next day the HR department called me and
- 16:04they said, hey, we just found out someone from the base is
- 16:06going to be leaving. Would you like it full time?
- 16:08I'm like, of course I would. So that was my scenario as well.
- 16:12Interviewed for a part time position, got a full time, and
- 16:15then I wanted to leave my ICU job.
- 16:18So I left that totally and just went all in on flight.
- 16:24One thing that I wanted to offer you is that when you go and you
- 16:28do these ride alongs at one base, I had AI, I've had several
- 16:33clients and this has happened. This is pretty common that when
- 16:36you do a ride along at one base, if they really like you, they
- 16:38talk to other people at other bases.
- 16:41And if they really like you, they're going to give you some
- 16:43of that information. Hey, here's the base manager's
- 16:45e-mail or here's another person who works at that basis e-mail.
- 16:48And that's how you can start to get multiple ride alongs within
- 16:51the same company at different bases.
- 16:55And just know, like again, it's not linear.
- 16:58Just because you do a ride along one base doesn't mean that's not
- 17:00going to open up you doing ride along to other bases.
- 17:02So leave room for magic. I had one client who who
- 17:09actually interviewed, they interviewed for a position.
- 17:14So this is another example. I'm going to give you a bunch of
- 17:16examples on this on this podcast episode, But I had another
- 17:21client who interviewed for a position and then an internal
- 17:23hire just like kind of snuck in and they scooped that person up
- 17:27And the base manager got back to him and said, hey, we really
- 17:31liked you. Just wanted to let you know we
- 17:32gave it to someone else. It was an internal hire, but
- 17:35we're putting you in the queue for the next open position,
- 17:38which how great does that feel like?
- 17:41OK, so you might have to do the interview again, but you know,
- 17:44everything that you did in the interview matched up with them.
- 17:48They already bought into you. They like you.
- 17:49So basically you're on their roster for when the next
- 17:52position opens. They're going to offer it to
- 17:55you. And that's another example of
- 17:57leave room for magic. You want to get yourself in that
- 18:00interview seat. You want to just practice what
- 18:03it feels like to authentically tell people about you and lay it
- 18:07all on the table because if you can step into that belief, then
- 18:11you will do that in every single action that you take towards
- 18:14flight. And that has how companies will
- 18:16start to recognize you. If you believe in yourself, that
- 18:19belief that you create in the interview, they will believe you
- 18:22are a flight nurse and meant for their team too.
- 18:25And that is really the work that we do in getting out of their
- 18:28head in a flight interview and back into yours.
- 18:31Because that is the most difficult thing that I see
- 18:34people struggle with is staying out of the panel interview's
- 18:37head and trying to give them answers that you think that they
- 18:41might want to hear and just really authentically portraying
- 18:43you and staying in your own beliefs.
- 18:45So this was huge for this client.
- 18:49Another example is a client, one of my clients.
- 18:56How long has it been? It's probably been a solid 8
- 18:59months since she got hired with this company.
- 19:02But she started doing ride alongs with this company
- 19:05multiple bases in her area and they liked her so much.
- 19:08What I help all my clients do inside the flight prep Academy
- 19:11is get your flight resume ready. Meaning I teach you what to put
- 19:15on your resume. So it's not a critical care
- 19:17resume anymore, but it's a flight resume so that companies
- 19:20will flight companies will see what they want to see, see,
- 19:25look, look for what they're looking for on their resume,
- 19:28find what those things are that they're looking for and then
- 19:32keep you in their queue for flight interviews and to just
- 19:37get ready. So if they haven't met you yet,
- 19:39they're like, oh, just looking at your, they're like, oh, I
- 19:41want to get to know that person. So I teach you how to get your
- 19:43resume flight ready and I also teach you to always take your
- 19:47resumes to every ride along, every interview, every
- 19:52connection that you make with flight companies.
- 19:53So anyway, she had been doing multiple ride alongs with
- 19:57several bases with the same company and she kept doing them.
- 20:00They liked her so much they put her flight resume on the face
- 20:03fridge and they wrote on it. This is the next person we want
- 20:07to hire. And she was a person.
- 20:10This is another good leave room for a little bit of magic.
- 20:14They told her we're not going to have an opening for about 18
- 20:17months. But we like you so much that we
- 20:19would like for you to just interview with us and we'll put
- 20:23you on the roster for when the next position opens.
- 20:26You'll be our candidate. And she said, OK, yeah, I would
- 20:29love to do that. She actually had.
- 20:31She's been a nurse for six years, but she had only been an
- 20:33ER nurse for one year. And she was really able to
- 20:37convey how the six years of being a nurse at her critical
- 20:41thinking, all her skills that she had picked up, how that
- 20:43would help her in this jobs, even though she had only had one
- 20:46year of solid ER. And again, no CEN, no
- 20:50certification is required. And she did the interview and
- 20:53she fully had told me, I, they're probably not going to
- 20:57give me an offer for another year and a half, 18 months.
- 20:59That's what they told me. And then three months later they
- 21:01called her and said a position is open, do you want it?
- 21:03It's yours. And she said yes.
- 21:05So again, leaving room for a little bit of magic, I have
- 21:10another client right now currently inside the flight prep
- 21:14Academy that she did multiple ride alongs with a company or
- 21:20with a base. And they loved her so much at
- 21:23the base that they offered her a flight suit because they said,
- 21:26oh, you're going to keep doing ride alongs with her.
- 21:27So they gave her a flight suit to wear on all her ride alongs.
- 21:31And they've invited her to every safety training monthly with
- 21:34them, which is so cool because she gets to kind of have a
- 21:38little glimpse of what it's like to be on the flight crew already
- 21:42and kind of train with them and go to their sessions and their
- 21:45meetings. Again, leave room for a little
- 21:48bit of magic. But this is what right along to
- 21:49making connections will really do for you.
- 21:52I want to offer you a couple of thoughts from these examples.
- 21:56It could be more simple than you think.
- 21:59I think a lot of you guys think it's going to be hard and that
- 22:02the more effort that you put in means that you're going to get
- 22:05it. But I know some of you guys have
- 22:08been trying that. Know that this isn't true.
- 22:10I hear a lot of you guys come to me and say I put in a lot of
- 22:12effort. I'm doing all of these things
- 22:14and effort does not equal a flight offer.
- 22:18What equals a flight offer is really being able to convey who
- 22:22you are, what you value, the team player you are, and really
- 22:26being focused in on what are the actions you do want to be
- 22:30taking. You don't want to be doing all
- 22:31the things. You don't want to be gaining
- 22:32time and experience and taking all the certs.
- 22:34That's not what will get you into flight.
- 22:36You want to be focused in on leadership qualities and doing
- 22:40those certain things in your current department.
- 22:42Staying in one department, whether it's rural, Bed, ERICU,
- 22:45or Level 1 does not matter. You want to show your leadership
- 22:48worship qualities, you want to get your resume flight ready and
- 22:51you want to be doing right alongs and making connections
- 22:53and quote UN quote, dating these companies ahead of time as soon
- 22:57as nursing school and you want to be doing 6 to 8 a year.
- 23:00It doesn't have to be a lot of time and effort, just focused
- 23:03value that you give them of who you are, what you value and the
- 23:07team player are you are. You want to date them ongoing,
- 23:11get to know them, have them get to know you by name.
- 23:15You want to be invited to things, base meetings,
- 23:19trainings, ride alongs prior to them being an opening.
- 23:22You want to be doing interviews so you can get on their roster
- 23:26before position opens. You want to keep on interviewing
- 23:29so they know you by name. So other base managers know you
- 23:33so well because you've interviewed with them.
- 23:34They're telling other base managers and other States and
- 23:36other positions or bases that are starting to open up.
- 23:40Here's the thing about flight companies is that there's so
- 23:43many bases closing and opening and being taken over, so you
- 23:47just don't know what's going to be in your area or within your
- 23:50radius of where you're willing to work and go.
- 23:53When one opens, you better believe you are going to be the
- 23:56first person they think about and they invite or they just
- 24:00give an offer to because you've already been interviewing.
- 24:03Leave room for a little bit of magic.
- 24:05I want to tell all of you guys who are listening to this, you
- 24:08are special. You're not because of your
- 24:12knowledge, how smart you are, your time and experience.
- 24:15You're special because this dream has been placed in your
- 24:20heart for a reason. It's just like nursing it.
- 24:24It can't be enough to like stay in nursing because of the pay,
- 24:28the shift, whatever. You have to really love serving
- 24:32people. You have to really love this
- 24:33industry. And I remember thinking that on
- 24:35my first like really hard critical day in ICU or like the
- 24:39first time where your patient has pooped from head to toe,
- 24:41you're like, it's not enough to just think you want to do this
- 24:46for those things. Like you have to deeply care for
- 24:49people and want to help them. And this is the same for flight.
- 24:53If you want flight nursing or flight paramedicine, it was
- 24:56placed in your heart for a reason.
- 24:59And that why is going to be the thing that is so strong for you.
- 25:03So I want to just offer you leave room for magic.
- 25:06You're special. You're meant to do this job and
- 25:09it was placed in your heart for a reason.
- 25:11So follow it through because I promise you, if you don't, it
- 25:15will continue to knock on your door over and over and over
- 25:18again until you finally go all in and you do it.
- 25:21And I also want to offer you going all in doesn't mean
- 25:23hustling and overworking in my program, I'm going to teach you
- 25:27the focus strategy to take and the mindset and the belief work
- 25:31to create success of getting there in a shorter amount of
- 25:34time. Join us inside the flight prep
- 25:36Academy. Let's map out your plan.
- 25:37I'm going to teach you how to do ride alongs and make
- 25:39connections. I'm going to prep you
- 25:40confidently for flight interviews no matter where you
- 25:43are starting. And I'm going to get you hired
- 25:44in a shorter amount of time by focusing on the actions that
- 25:48will get you there while working with your personal and family
- 25:52life by not hustling and not overworking by getting there.
- 25:57I also want to fill you guys in for those of you guys who are
- 26:01listening on going to this episode or listening to this
- 26:03particular episode, I have something big coming.
- 26:06And if you're on my e-mail list or you're following me on social
- 26:09media, keep following because I'm dropping hints right now.
- 26:14I am opening up a 12 week week coaching program next month.
- 26:18I haven't announced the dates yet of opening it.
- 26:20It is for any healthcare worker and any first responder.
- 26:24I am going to be helping you build confidence both on and off
- 26:28the shift and create big things in your life.
- 26:31I found coaching at a time where I deeply, deeply needed it.
- 26:36I lost 5 patients in the span of one month and I felt isolated.
- 26:41I felt so confident on the job, but off the job it just didn't
- 26:45match. I had, I was, I had.
- 26:48My relationships were suffering. I didn't know how to talk to
- 26:51people about what I felt and what I was seeing or I felt like
- 26:54they couldn't relate and my confidence wasn't translating to
- 26:57my personal life. In this coaching, I am going to
- 27:01teach you the tools on how to be confident both personally and
- 27:05professionally. When I talk to a lot of you
- 27:07guys, what you guys tell me is the same thing.
- 27:10One, I'm either confident in my job, but off the job, I lack
- 27:14confidence in my personal life or in your personal life.
- 27:17You have so much confidence, but on the job you don't.
- 27:19And so we're really going to even that out.
- 27:21I'm going to teach you the tools on how to build confidence.
- 27:23We're going to talk about imposter syndrome, work life
- 27:25balance, caring for yourself. And I'm also going to add, how
- 27:29do we create the future best self of you?
- 27:31How do we create big things? How do we become the person who
- 27:36is not just married to our job? We have other desires, other
- 27:40hobbies, other things that we want to do and live out.
- 27:42And I'm going to teach you how to do that also inside.
- 27:45So stay tuned if you're not on my e-mail list again on my
- 27:48e-mail list because this 12 week coaching program is going to be
- 27:52dropping in November soon. And also I am offering you guys
