- 4:42Speaker 1: That car is just, I feel, empty.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You didn't tell us about the four-leaf clover.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Here's the four-leaf clover story.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Alfa Romeo's four-leaf clover, or quadrifoglio in Italian, is a symbol of luck and performance that originated in 1993.
- 4:56Speaker 1: This is from Google.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Story goes that Alfa Romeo driver Ugo Savoci was superstitious and often finished in second place, earning him the nickname Leterno Secondo or the Eternal Second.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Before the 1923 Targa Florio race, savoci painted a green four-leaf clover on a white diamond on the side of his Alfa Romeo RL in hopes of bringing himself good luck.
- 5:23Speaker 1: So Savoci won the race and the clover became a tradition that continues today.
- 5:28Speaker 1: The clover has helped spectators identify Savoci's car on the dusty roads of the early 1900s.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Wow, he died in a car accident a few months later while test driving a vehicle without the clover.
- 5:44Speaker 1: After his death, the team became superstitious and began requiring all of their racing vehicles to have the clover badge before taking to the track.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Today, the clover is still a symbol of Alfa Romeo's racing history and high performance and is featured on the Quadrifoglio models.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Is that where we get leprechauns from?
- 6:00Speaker 1: That's it.
- 6:00Speaker 1: That's exactly where it is.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You push it and you get a leprechaun Arr Meat.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It's that leprechaun.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Anyway, I thought that was an interesting story.
