Latest / The Vault: The Epstein Files / The South Carolina Witness: Expanding the Post and Courier Trump/Epstein Investigation
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. A couple of days ago, we were talking
- 0:07about a report from the Post and Courier about the
- 0:12young lady, the Jane Doe from South Carolina who said
- 0:15that she was abused by Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. Well,
- 0:20today they have a follow up to that report about
- 0:23FBI records and how they detail potential witnesses to the
- 0:27event and how those details are being kept from the public.
- 0:32So today we're just going to dive right in and
- 0:35see what they have for us. Like I said, this
- 0:38article was published by The Post and Courier the headline
- 0:42FBI records detailed potential witnesses of sc Epstein victim, they
- 0:47aren't public. This article was authored by Marilyn Thompson and
- 0:51Mitchell Black. FBI agents prepared handwritten interview notes that contain
- 0:58names of possible corroborating witnesses and other information detailing a
- 1:03woman's accusations that Jeffrey Epstein lured her to his deviant
- 1:07orbit when she was still a teen on Hilton Head
- 1:10Island and sexually abused her. The Posting Courier reviewed thirty
- 1:15pages of FBI agent notes, which have not been publicly released.
- 1:19The notes made by agents in a series of twenty
- 1:22nineteen interviews offer a few new details about her claim
- 1:26that she traveled with Epstein to New York area in
- 1:29the nineteen eighties. She alleged that she encountered Donald Trump
- 1:33during a visit and was once forced into a sex act.
- 1:37The White House has a seld her claim describing it
- 1:40backed by no evidence. So if there is evidence of it,
- 1:45I would say that the public needs to see it, right.
- 1:47I mean, that is the point of the law that
- 1:49was passed, after all, for these documents to be made public,
- 1:53and considering that thirty pages are still buried, it certainly
- 1:57makes people wonder and ask questions. The agent's unredacted notes
- 2:02were not disclosed in the millions of Epstein documents released
- 2:06so far by the US Department of Justice. They flesh
- 2:09out some aspects of her claims that she crossed paths
- 2:12with Epstein in the Low Country before he built a
- 2:14global sex trafficking operation. Why is that so hard for
- 2:18people to believe every place Epstein went he was abusing people.
- 2:24I truly believe that one hundred percent. When you're a
- 2:27guy like this, you can't turn that on and off.
- 2:30That's just who you are. You're just a completely broken,
- 2:33degenerate fuck bag. You know when they say that a
- 2:37lemon comes off the line. Same thing with humans. Some
- 2:40humans are just born fucked up. And Epstein one of
- 2:43those humans. And remember, there certainly are a bunch of
- 2:47women and girls that we have no idea about. The
- 2:53Post and Courier compared the notes with official summaries known
- 2:56as three O two's, that agents prepared after the interviews.
- 3:00Some details in the handwritten notes never made it into
- 3:03the prepared summaries, which were heavily redacted by the Justice
- 3:06Department before their public release, as required by law. Of course,
- 3:11they were because they didn't want it to embarrass Donald Trump,
- 3:16to embarrass insert elite here. Meanwhile, all these revivers had
- 3:21their names released. Nobody gives a shit. Where's Anna Paulina Luna?
- 3:25Oh that's right, she's telling us about interdimensional demons. When
- 3:29I tell you that these people are wholly unserious, this
- 3:31is what I'm talking about. If people really cared people
- 3:35like Comer, people like Anna Paulina A Luna, any of them,
- 3:38they'd be demanding that all of this stuff was made public.
- 3:42During one interview, for instance, an agent scribbled that the
- 3:44woman provided the names of four young teen girls who,
- 3:48by her account, attended a pool party on Hilton Head
- 3:51when Epstein came by. This was during the time when
- 3:54she alleged Epstein was sexually assaulting her and plying her
- 3:58with drugs and alcohol. Details about the four friends were
- 4:02not visible in the FBI's three h two reports and
- 4:05may have been redacted in an effort to protect victim privacy.
- 4:10Redact their names, not what they said. How are we
- 4:15going to find out what's what if we don't know
- 4:17what the witnesses say. And again, I'm not calling for
- 4:21them to be outed. You redact their names, right, that's
- 4:25the whole point of the law. But the government they
- 4:29have other ideas, and they're going to redact whatever they
- 4:32think is going to make it harder for us to
- 4:34figure out what's going on, because that's always been the goal.
- 4:38It's never been about transparency, it's never been about justice.
- 4:41It's always been about the men of always getting more
- 4:45while the children of never That means me and you
- 4:48continue to get screwed. That's what it's all about. And
- 4:52they'll go to great lengths to protect the people that
- 4:55are part of their club. It's unclear whether the FBI
- 4:58ever pursued leads offered by the alleged victim. One of
- 5:01the women identified in the interview notes as a high
- 5:04school friend told the Post and Courier that she was
- 5:07never contacted by the FBI. Look that all tracks. They
- 5:11didn't even contact Endyke and Cohn. You think they're going
- 5:14to contact this girl? Zero chance? How much more evidence
- 5:19do you need that there was never a real investigation here,
- 5:22Just like I told you seven years ago. You don't
- 5:26have to be some great investigator to figure that out.
- 5:31Agent's notes from a fourth interview with the alleged victim
- 5:34in twenty nineteen were not available for the Post and
- 5:37Courier to review. The DOJ's handling of the notes and
- 5:41other materials continued to be a point of focus as
- 5:44President Trump ousted Attorney General Pam Bondi on April second
- 5:49Deputy Attorney General Todd Baby Billy Blanche replaced her on
- 5:53an interim basis. All that is is a swap because
- 5:57Blanche is going to do whatever Trump wants them to do.
- 6:00He's Trump's personal lawyer. This dude has never prosecuted anything
- 6:04in his life. But sure, let's make him the ag.
- 6:08It's like when you were younger, you know, you sit
- 6:10around with your friends and you're like, if I became president,
- 6:13so and so would be secretary of State, and it's
- 6:16like your stupidest friend or whatever. That's basically what's happening here.
- 6:21Who's the most loyal as opposed to who's the best
- 6:25for the job, Because when we're talking about the Trump administration,
- 6:29it's all about loyalty to Trump. It's not about loyalty
- 6:31to the country. It's not about loyalty to the Constitution.
- 6:34It's about loyalty to Trump. And if you don't have
- 6:37that loyalty, forget it. You're out. Responding to The Post
- 6:42and Courier's questions about its review of the FBI agent notes,
- 6:47a Justice Department spokesperson issued a statement saying there are
- 6:50no missing pages among the records released by the Department.
- 6:54The DOJ has said that some records are considered duplicative
- 6:58with what is available elsewhere and from members of Congress
- 7:01to view in private. I don't care what Congress can view.
- 7:04Are you crazy right now? That's not what the law says.
- 7:07I don't trust Congress either have you not been paying attention?
- 7:11We want to see it the American people, you know,
- 7:14the people that pay the fucking bills. This production may
- 7:19include fake or falsely submitted images, document or videos, as
- 7:22everything that was sent to the FBI by the public
- 7:25was included in the production that is responsive to the act.
- 7:29The statement said that was done on purpose as well,
- 7:31to make everybody look crazy. Oh yeah, let's add the
- 7:34most salacious emails that were sent by obvious crazy people
- 7:38to make the whole entire thing look like a bunch
- 7:40of bs. And the people that bought that book, line
- 7:45and sinker, you know, the Oh it's a hoax people,
- 7:48Boy are you stupid? Imagine waking up every morning and
- 7:52being that dumb. Life must be hard as fuck. Most
- 7:58of the FBI notes are written in kurt of handwriting,
- 8:00with random jottings as conversations unfolded. The scribblings have the
- 8:05disorganized feel of a personal notebook, with items that may
- 8:08only make sense to the writer. Well, look, I can't
- 8:11even complain about that because my note taking. Forget it.
- 8:16If like some archaeologists finds my notebook from college in
- 8:20like three hundred years, they'll be like, what the fuck
- 8:22was this dude doing what language is that? Because I
- 8:25was using more shorthand than you could possibly imagine, and
- 8:28that was in the pursuit of a political science degree.
- 8:30I can only imagine FBI agents doing reports. They have
- 8:34their own language, I'm guessing. FBI interviews are intended to
- 8:39build narrative reconstructions of events and are not conducted under oath.
- 8:44Agents do not usually tape interviews, although the agents ask
- 8:47for permission to audio record the victim. In the fourth interview,
- 8:51her attorney was not present. She advised she was not
- 8:54comfortable being taped. Agents wrote a summary of the interview. Well,
- 8:59you blame her. I wouldn't be comfortable either, dealing with
- 9:02this kind of power. You're some girl who says you
- 9:05were abused, and you're gonna go on record and say
- 9:07the president was involved. Probably not a comfortable situation to
- 9:11be in. And not everybody wants to rock the boat.
- 9:17And unfortunately, some people think it's hopeless. And that's because, well,
- 9:21look at what's happening. We always talk about precedent in
- 9:25the courtroom, Well what about the precedent that this sets.
- 9:29How many people are out there saying, you know what,
- 9:31fuck this? I'm never coming forward. I don't want to
- 9:34deal with this shit. I don't want to have Anna
- 9:36Pauline a Luna call me a human trafficker because I
- 9:39fell into the clutches of Jeffrey Epstein. And unfortunately, I
- 9:44hate to say it, but in my opinion, it's all
- 9:47by design. The notes include a few clarifying details about
- 9:54the victims alleged trips with Epstein to visit Trump. In
- 9:59the two her account reflects uncertainty about her travel with
- 10:03Epstein off to the island, apparently referring to Hilton Head
- 10:07at least once, when she was thirteen to fifteen years old,
- 10:10he drove her or a flewr to either New York
- 10:13or New Jersey. The report said she was introduced to
- 10:16someone with money, money, money. It was Donald Trump. It
- 10:20said that she had two additional interactions with Trump, but
- 10:23when agents attempted to ask her questions, she asked that
- 10:26the interview move on to a different subject for the
- 10:28time being. The handwritten notes come across as slightly less
- 10:32tentative about her travel with Epstein, which if true, could
- 10:36constitute underage sex trafficking. Well, it is true, come on,
- 10:40at least as far as Epstein bringing girls across date lines.
- 10:44That's not even debatable. They suggest that Epstein both drove
- 10:48and flew her to New York and New Jersey and
- 10:50introduced her to Trump. She told agents that she overheard
- 10:53them talking about business matters, including a casino, noting that
- 10:57Trump did not like her from the get go. She
- 11:00described the alleged assault that was later detailed in the
- 11:02three to two report. The note taker jotted down two
- 11:06more interactions with Trump. So I'm not going to sit
- 11:09here and tell you that I know if this is
- 11:10true or not. The big problem for me here is
- 11:13that the FBI didn't really investigate this the way they should.
- 11:17So how do we know what the truth is and
- 11:19what's not the truth? And then you bury these documents,
- 11:23you don't release them. What are we supposed to think?
- 11:28The redacted three to two report details a nighttime pool
- 11:31party with her friends, possibly at the Marriotte Hotel. A
- 11:34large blacked out portion follows that statement. She said Epstein
- 11:38showed her up alone to the party, and she left
- 11:41with them. She said her friends might have seen them together.
- 11:44Those identities appear to be redacted from the formal report.
- 11:49The handwritten notes clearly identify the Marriotte at Hipyard Plantation
- 11:53as a location, and includes the handwritten names of her
- 11:56friends with a few notes about the relationships. One of
- 12:00the name women told the Post and Courier that the
- 12:02hotel pool was a hangout for her high school friends.
- 12:05Students would sneak in after school by pretending to be
- 12:08hotel guests. The woman said she had no memory of
- 12:12any creepiness. The Post and Courier attempted to contact other
- 12:17people listed in the FBI notes as being at the
- 12:20alleged Marriott gathering to decline to comment. So, look, nobody
- 12:24wants to comment. There's no cooperation here. So okay, again,
- 12:29why was it buried? Why wasn't it all presented as
- 12:33the law demands. That's a big problem. That's a cover up,
- 12:36and it's a cover up that's being directed, in my opinion,
- 12:39by the White House among those that the pool party
- 12:42described by the alleged victim was a high school friend
- 12:45to whom she confided details of her sexual encounters. At
- 12:49the time of the interview. The alleged victim said her
- 12:51friend had recently prodator to recall repressed memories by sending
- 12:55her a much circulated photograph of Epstein standing close to Trump.
- 13:00The friend also called the FBI tip line and offered
- 13:03her account of what she said was the victim's involvement
- 13:06with Epstein and Trump. So corroboration right there, one person
- 13:10at least. It's not clear whether the FBI looked into
- 13:15the alleged victim's account after she told agents in October
- 13:18of twenty nineteen that she planned to sue the Epstein estate.
- 13:22Well why not? Why wouldn't they look into it? Why
- 13:26not kick off an investigation and see what this girl's
- 13:30talking about, unless you're scared of what you're gonna find.
- 13:35A federal lawsuit was filed to New York just before
- 13:37Christmas that year with someone referred to as Jane Doe
- 13:40for making similar allegations of sexual assaults by Epstein on
- 13:44Hiltonhead in the mid nineteen eighties. A settlement was reached
- 13:48in December of twenty twenty one, according to her attorneys.
- 13:53Additional details in the notes raised new questions about Justice
- 13:56departments withholding of documents. The Epstein Files Transparency Act, bipartisan
- 14:02legislation signed by Trump late last year, required the DOJ
- 14:06to produce records related to Epstein by December nineteenth, twenty
- 14:10twenty five. The Department initially made public a fraction of
- 14:15the documents and waited until January to publish a massive troth.
- 14:20Missing from the trench were the interview summaries from the
- 14:22former Hilton Head resident, in which he made allegations against
- 14:26Trump and others. The Justice Department described their own mission
- 14:30as a clerical error. Of course, it was always a
- 14:33clerical error that falls to the side of the government
- 14:37and the administration. You notice nobody's names ever leaked when
- 14:42they're accused of the abuse. It's only the girls who
- 14:44were abused who get their names leaked. I'm sure just
- 14:47another coincidence, right, They're not targeting people. Trump's former personal
- 14:53attorney set outrage about the unaccounted for records was overblown.
- 14:57Come on, man, it's not a legal party with Epstein.
- 15:00Everybody was doing it. Head on down to the island,
- 15:03have yourself a blast, said Todd Baby Billy Blanche. There
- 15:09was drama about missing files that were holding covering things up.
- 15:12He said recently on a podcast. The evidence of the
- 15:15missing files came from the Epstein files, so they're not
- 15:18missing files. We went back and adjusted that right away.
- 15:22Oh well, all is forgiven, mister Todd Baby Billy Blanche.
- 15:28Some critics, like Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island,
- 15:32have criticized the lack of transparency. Searches under the alleged
- 15:37victim's case code showed that a law enforcement report and
- 15:40a license record are not in the database. A photograph
- 15:44originally believed to be missing was actually in the files.
- 15:48The Justice Department on February fourteenth wrote a six page
- 15:52letter to the House and Senate Judiciary Committee explaining that
- 15:56it redacted material in the files after a legal evaluation,
- 16:00and only when documents were judged to be duplicative or
- 16:03protected by legal privileges such as confidential discussion between lawyers
- 16:07and clients and protection of state secrets. Now what kind
- 16:11of state secrets are going to be in the Epstein files?
- 16:15I thought he was just a loan predator. I thought
- 16:17he was just a guy that liked the abuse kids.
- 16:21You bunch of jackasses. The agency has been accused of
- 16:26covering up documents that might implicate Trump, a longtime friend
- 16:30of Epstein who has referenced more than a thousand times
- 16:33in the publicly released documents. The Justice Department's letter called
- 16:37the President, one of many politically exposed persons in the files.
- 16:42Poor Trump exposed in the files. Here's an idea. Don't
- 16:46hang out with people like Jeffrey Epstein and you don't
- 16:48have to worry about being exposed. Thanks for coming to
- 16:51my ted talk. Officials have acknowledged some mistakes in the
- 16:56hasty review of millions of documents, including not redacting vic
- 17:00the names in released emails and photographs. When notified of
- 17:03the errors, they said the department corrected them, but issues remain.
- 17:09An FBI document with identifying details of the alleged victims
- 17:12high school friend remains available for anyone to view because
- 17:17they don't care. You think Todd Blanche cares about the survivors.
- 17:22As he sat down and talked to the survivors the
- 17:25way he did Maxwell. Remember what he said, Oh, we
- 17:28want to give Maxwell a chance to go on the record.
- 17:30She's a convicted child abuser. She's had her chance to
- 17:33go on the record. She declined. The Post and Courier
- 17:37is withholding the identity of the alleged victim and the
- 17:40woman identified as her friends, in keeping with the newspapers
- 17:43general policy of not revealing the names of sexual assault survivors.
- 17:47Or alleged survivors. Bondi may soon need to answer for
- 17:52the DOJ's handling of the Epstein files. She's scheduled to
- 17:56testify April fourteenth before a Congressional committee about her depart
- 18:00arment's compliant with the law. It's not completely clear if
- 18:03Bondi will still testify, though Republican Nancy Mace said she
- 18:07still wants her to answer questions under oath. My subpoena
- 18:11still stands. When the Oversight Committee moved to subpoena Bondi,
- 18:14I did it by name, not by or not as
- 18:17the sitting Attorney General of the United States. Mace posted
- 18:21on social media, Well, look, I hope that's the case,
- 18:24but I have my doubts, and I think that him
- 18:27firing her, Trump firing Pambondi is just another move, another
- 18:32way to try and slow things down and gum things up.
- 18:35But as far as these documents go, they should have
- 18:38all been released, and the fact that they weren't is
- 18:41against the law. I mean, I don't know how else
- 18:43to put it. And if they're duplicative, fine release them anyway.
- 18:47It shouldn't be a big deal, right. If they're duplicative,
- 18:50they're out there already point us in that direction. Notice
- 18:53he never does that. Notice he just says, oh, well,
- 18:56this is just bs, it's overblown, okay, but we don't
- 19:01believe you, Todd Blanche, just like I didn't believe Merrick Garland.
- 19:04I didn't believe Bill Barr. I didn't believe you know,
- 19:07Mark Philippe. I didn't believe Mukazy. The list goes on,
- 19:10and that's because breaking news. None of these people are believable.
- 19:15Oh they tell us one thing, but they do another.
- 19:18And unfortunately, with Todd Blanche taking the helm here, all
- 19:21we're gonna see is more of the same because Blanche,
- 19:25like Bondi, is just an extension of Donald Trump. And
- 19:28we all know that Donald Trump has no desire for
- 19:31these files to be released. And it doesn't matter who's
- 19:34in the position of Attorney General, because it's always meet
- 19:38the new boss, same as the old boss. All the
- 19:42information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 19:45the description box.
