  Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite

  Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. Father God,

  Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus Christ, today we come before

  Speaker 1: you with a simple prayer. Lord, make us instruments for
• 0:17
  Speaker 1: your glory. Use our lives for something bigger than us.

  Speaker 1: Use our words to lift somebody who's discouraged. Use our
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: voice to speak hope to somebody who feels hopeless. Use
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: our presence to remind somebody that they are not alone. Lord,
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: word our mouths. Before we speak, give us wisdom. Before
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: we respond, give us patience. God, before we criticize anybody else,
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: remind us to show grace. Before we complain, remind us
• 0:45
  Speaker 1: of how good you've been to us. Don't allow our
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: words to become weapons that wound people who are already hurting. Instead, God,
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: let our words bring healing. Let our words bring encouragement, hope,

  Speaker 1: and strength. Father, help us to understand that we never

  Speaker 1: really know what someone is carrying. The person who seems
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: difficult may be just hurting. The person who seems distant
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: may be grieving. The person who seems angry all the
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: time may be fighting a battle I know nothing about.

  Speaker 1: The person who always smiles may be crying behind closed doors.

  Speaker 1: So Lord, teach us to handle people with care. Give
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: us eyes to see beyond people's behavior and recognize their humanity.

  Speaker 1: Let us be quick to encourage and slow to judge.
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: quick to listen and slow to speak, quick to forgive
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: and slow to take offense. God, let the kindness become
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: our lifestyle, not something we offer only when it's convenient
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: for us. God, help us to hold the door, make
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: the phone call, send the encouraging text, give the compliment,
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: offer the helping hand, speak a kind word. And when
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: you place someone in our paths who need encouragement, don't
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: let us be so busy that we miss you so. Father,

  Speaker 1: let us be a blessing wherever we go. If someone
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: needs hope, let us carry hope. If someone needs peace,
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: let us bring peace. If someone needs encouragement, let us
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: have a word. If someone needs kindness, let us demonstrate
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: that kindness. God, if someone needs prayer, let us stop
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: at that moment and pray. And Lord, help us to
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: remember that sometimes the smallest... Active kindness can be the
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: biggest difference in somebody's life. God, we don't need a
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: platform to be used by you. We don't need a microphone.

  Speaker 1: We don't need an audience. We just need to have
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: a willing heart. So use us, God. We yield. Use
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: our hands. Use our feet. Use our voice. Use our smile.

  Speaker 1: Use our story. Use our testimony. Use our experiences, even
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: the painful experiences, God, to encourage somebody else. Let our
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: lives point people back to you. And when people encounter us,
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: let them leave feeling better, stronger, lighter, encouraged, and closer
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: to you. Let us be an instrument of your love

  Speaker 1: in a world that desperately needs us. And when we're

  Speaker 1: tempted to respond with anger, God, give us grace. When
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: we're tempted to judge, give us compassion. When we're tempted
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: to remain silent, give us courage. And when we're tempted
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: to give up on somebody, remind us that you never
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: gave up on us. So, Father, let our lives be
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: a reflection of your goodness. Let our words bring life.
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: Let our actions demonstrate love. Let our kindness open doors.
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: Let our encouragement restore hope. And let everything we say
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: and everything we do bring glory to your name. Use us, God,
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: for your glory in Jesus' name. Amen, amen, amen.
