  Unfortunately, with our busy lives, we don't have time to

  cover all of the Miguel matches before this or all of the Raws.

  And unfortunately, WWE and Netflix do not have every single

  one of those Raws on there. So we picked 2 of what we think

  are the most important Raws before WrestleMania 14.

  And the one that we're starting off with takes place.

  It's actually the 243rd episode of Monday Night Raw.

  It takes place on January 19th, 1998.

  And you've already seen the graphic for this this week's

  episode. It is a very iconic episode, but

  obviously you're going to have to listen to this entire thing

  to get to that segment because we have to honor the life of

  Juanita McMahon. Yeah, this this episode, even
• 6:49
  before they get to the introduction, before they get to
• 6:53
  the the the music, they they do what WWE still continues to do
• 6:58
  to this day is when you know, somebody within the WWFWWE
• 7:02
  family passes away, they put up that honoring or in loving
• 7:06
  memory. And this one was Miss Juanita
• 7:08
  McMahon, who they put up there in 1916 to 1998.

  She was 82 years old, so. Vince's mother.

  Yes. Runs with Vince's mom, Yes.

  But then right after that, we go right into the recap of the Kane
• 7:22
  and Undertaker feud. They show us highlights from
• 7:26
  last week's Raw. They show us highlights from the
• 7:29
  main event of the Royal Rumble, which was the night before Royal
• 7:33
  Rumble 1998. And they show us how Undertaker
• 7:36
  was burned alive supposedly in the casket by Kane and
• 7:44
  Pallbearer. And, and it's the whole recap of
• 7:47
  that, obviously, because, you know, even though Undertaker was
• 7:50
  burned alive, he's got to stay in the picture for the build to
• 7:54
  WrestleMania. The whole thing is very star
• 7:57
  crossed lovers to me. They're like they're friends,
• 8:00
  right? Like the brothers.

  They're connected. Undertaker's doing like the the
• 8:04
  arm out thing in the ring. And then of course at the rumble
• 8:07
  we get axes and gas. 5 gallon tank of gasoline.

  We could I I never really cared for either of these guys during
• 8:18
  this era while watching live, so I'm not going to spend a ton of
• 8:22
  time. But really their feud almost it
• 8:28
  it seems I don't is it. I feel like it's overrated a
• 8:31
  little bit because it's it's pretty damn sloppy what they did
• 8:35
  from bad blood to WrestleMania with this whole thing.

  At times it's very disjointed at in my opinion, but maybe that's
• 8:44
  just because I wasn't that into the whole, you know, return of
• 8:48
  Kane. Yeah, it's a little.

  Similar to Brett and Owen? Kind of.

  Yeah, with two guys I could give two shits about, I don't know
• 8:57
  that weren't actually brothers. I feel like this is a hot take

  coming from extra cooler. And I know that you're, you're

  always the first one to say that you're not an Undertaker guy.

  And I feel like that has to play a a major role for you in
• 9:10
  feeling comfortable enough to state that.

  Like, I don't know, I feel like this is one of those things

  that, you know, I think the the Kane entrance into WWF at the

  time was much more than kind of what we're seeing here in 98.

  But like still man, I don't know I feel like this.

  I loved, I loved. Don't get me wrong I I was very

  into the whole like bad blood stuff but this like the Rumble

  and the build to WrestleMania felt sloppy to me at times.

  Yeah, I I agree with Nick, I'd say I think like the production

  value of it is excellent, right from like Kane's music, the

  lights, the red, the explosions, the fire, all the stuff that's

  happening there. It looks good, but I behind it

  all, what is it? It's I don't it.

  I always found it hokey then, right, like as a 16 year old or

  whatever, we're 15 watching this.

  It didn't move in exactly. They're moving into this kind of

  more. They call it reality now, but

  like, you know, this edgy attitude era and then this is

  kind of like make believe stuff, which I don't know it just I

  that's what always heard it for me.

  Maybe I was late to to come into the the the majority of no.

  This isn't real like. Yeah, well, you're the guy that,

  you know, believed in Shango and the Warrior.
