- 1:54Speaker 3: get to our our introductory question. I always do a
- 1:57Speaker 3: question introduce everybody. Uh, and we'll start with he's a
- 2:01Speaker 3: gamer and a storyteller and he is might he was
- 2:04Speaker 3: my youngest friend. Now he's among the youngest.
- 2:06Speaker 4: It's hey, what's up, guys.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah, seriously, what how are you holding up? Man?
- 2:16Speaker 4: Fine, you're good?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah, all good? Oh yeah, everything's fine. No worries, not
- 2:23Speaker 3: even a little bit. Okay, that's good. I'm glad to
- 2:27Speaker 3: hear that. I was concerned because there has been some
- 2:30Speaker 3: fairly momentous events over the past week that might have
- 2:34Speaker 3: brought you down maybe a little bit.
- 2:37Speaker 4: No, I mean, don't get me wrong. And like we've
- 2:42Speaker 4: all been through bad times, we've all been through trauma,
- 2:46Speaker 4: but we've all gotten past it.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 4: So yeah, and now we're gonna go through the way
- 2:52Speaker 4: we've gotten past it is by going forward. So as
- 2:55Speaker 4: long as we keep going forward, we keep hanging in
- 2:57Speaker 4: there true as will turn out.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Well. Thank you for your relentless upbeatness. It is appreciated.
- 3:08Speaker 3: And of course there is his buddy, the other half
- 3:11Speaker 3: of the dream team, the veteran the podcaster and the
- 3:14Speaker 3: veteran podcaster. It's Stevie why man sub brother.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Hey, Hey, same question, brother doing Okay, Yeah, like shit happens.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Shit happened.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But again, like all you said, man, like you gotta
- 3:38Speaker 1: keep going. It's not like I'm gonna stop living, having fun,
- 3:41Speaker 1: living my life doing ship. Just because something go my way,
- 3:44Speaker 1: you know, like whatever, Like I don't know, I'm still
- 3:48Speaker 1: here to defend the constitution if it comes down to it,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'll tell you there right now, we'll stick with that.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Just a little reminder of the military oath to the constant.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, everybody, that's why.
- 4:04Speaker 3: The well done, sir uh and uh that genuinely put
- 4:10Speaker 3: a smile on my face. Thank you, sir uh. And
- 4:13Speaker 3: of course our long long away friend but never far
- 4:18Speaker 3: from our hearts. Uh. He is former streamer. Uh Now,
- 4:22Speaker 3: I'm not sure exactly what he does that's all time
- 4:26Speaker 3: outside of living his life, loving his wife and taking
- 4:29Speaker 3: care of his dog Bingo. It's crunchy streamer of full time.
- 4:37Speaker 4: That's right, Crunchy.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I suspect the mood might be different over there and there,
- 4:44Speaker 3: Hey buddy, speaking of the.
- 4:45Speaker 8: Devil A good boy gool uh and does it as
- 4:54Speaker 8: well they always do.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Uh, Crunchy, how you've been man, I'm in a class
- 5:03Speaker 3: case of emotion.
- 5:05Speaker 6: I stand yeah, look, not even politically related. There's been
- 5:14Speaker 6: a couple of things going on recently in my life
- 5:16Speaker 6: and it's you know, not every day is a blessing,
- 5:19Speaker 6: but I'm blessed. I'm still allied to witness it, so
- 5:23Speaker 6: you can't say.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Much fatter than that.
- 5:25Speaker 6: But the fact that you guys are here to entertain
- 5:28Speaker 6: and take our minds off of things, and the fact
- 5:30Speaker 6: that I'm able to spend.
- 5:31Speaker 5: That time with you, this is going to be a
- 5:33Speaker 5: little bit cathartic tonight.
- 5:34Speaker 6: I feel so thank you, very much.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Happy to help man. Yes, and finally I am your host,
- 5:41Speaker 3: Pancil saron uh. And I'm not going to spend too
- 5:45Speaker 3: long on this.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Just it's spent a long time on this.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Isn't he go fuck you.
- 5:53Speaker 7: A while?
- 5:55Speaker 3: So yeah, it kind of it kind of hit hard,
- 6:02Speaker 3: especially as like the week before, the week before, I
- 6:06Speaker 3: had gotten invited to a lesbian wedding in twenty twenty five,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and I was so excited, And now there are genuine
- 6:15Speaker 3: fears that that won't happen with the new regime moving
- 6:21Speaker 3: in and they're so called Project twenty twenty five, And
- 6:24Speaker 3: there's a lot of fear in the people I know
- 6:28Speaker 3: and the people that I talked to on a regular basis,
- 6:31Speaker 3: and that has not been fun or easy to deal with.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And I know that we all speak from somewhat of
- 6:36Speaker 3: a position of privilege, all being white, men right, right,
- 6:41Speaker 3: And I just wanted to just get it out of
- 6:44Speaker 3: my system that, like I try so hard to be
- 6:47Speaker 3: a gentle guy, like I'm a big dude. I've accidentally
- 6:51Speaker 3: hurt more people than I think most people deliberately hurt
- 6:55Speaker 3: just by walking around a corner and slamming into someone
- 6:58Speaker 3: I didn't know was there and they are on the
- 7:00Speaker 3: ground and I'm still standing, Like it's It's just the
- 7:04Speaker 3: way it is being a big man. So you learn
- 7:05Speaker 3: to be gentle in both, you know, physically and like emotionally.
- 7:10Speaker 3: But the past week has just been marked by being
- 7:15Speaker 3: filled with this uncharitable rage. Like I just see some
- 7:21Speaker 3: of the people who are celebrating what has come to
- 7:23Speaker 3: pass in the most awful ways I can imagine, like
- 7:27Speaker 3: sending black people messages to prepare for their plantation van
- 7:33Speaker 3: or young boys who will never attain true manhood going
- 7:38Speaker 3: up and down the halls of their school telling girls
- 7:40Speaker 3: your body my choice.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw that.
- 7:47Speaker 3: It's unbelievable, and I've just been so so angry. But
- 7:53Speaker 3: like the last couple of days, I've just sort of
- 7:58Speaker 3: kind of let that bleed off off because you cannot
- 8:04Speaker 3: you cannot beat hate with hate. Nope, No, you just can't.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 8:11Speaker 3: The only thing that beats hate is love. So it
- 8:16Speaker 3: might take me some time, but I'm going to try
- 8:19Speaker 3: and learn to forgive and love and hope to God
- 8:26Speaker 3: that some of these people come around to being better
- 8:30Speaker 3: than they are. Until then, all I can do is
- 8:35Speaker 3: fight injustice where I see it. You know, if it
- 8:39Speaker 3: happens in front of me, oh boy, if somebody says
- 8:42Speaker 3: that to a girl in front of me, they're getting
- 8:44Speaker 3: the ship beat up. You know, I'm just gonna and
- 8:49Speaker 3: the whole time I'm gonna as I'm punching them until
- 8:52Speaker 3: they stop moving. I'm gonna keep saying this isn't from
- 8:56Speaker 3: a place of hate, It's from a place of life.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Do this because I love?
- 9:00Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly, be better.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I love you.
- 9:05Speaker 1: But you're a cut to say, soul, you dumb fuck Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Right. Anyway, enough of the serious ship, let's have some
- 9:13Speaker 3: fun with that.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Back to the last Yes.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I had to get it out of my sister. We
- 9:17Speaker 3: couldn't just let it go. It was unmentioned.
- 9:20Speaker 4: It was an elephant in the room and now it's
- 9:22Speaker 4: stinks in here on the floor. Come on, guys, you
- 9:27Speaker 4: should have walked it sposed to be watching. We started
- 9:30Speaker 4: the show and then you brought.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It and we lost the peanuts.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Yeah, they do love those peanuts.
- 9:38Speaker 3: They they do.
- 9:39Speaker 4: They do love those peanuts. Don't know if they're good
- 9:43Speaker 4: for them, but they do love them.
- 9:46Speaker 3: So let's get to our games. We're gonna start with
- 9:48Speaker 3: game one. Game one is called like Share Block. I've
- 9:51Speaker 3: got three new stories and all our players have to
- 9:53Speaker 3: do is tell me which one of these three I
- 9:55Speaker 3: would like, which one I would share, and which one
- 9:56Speaker 3: I would block on social media. There is only one
- 10:01Speaker 3: correct combination. Each player is going to have a chance
- 10:04Speaker 3: to make a stab at it, but only one combination
- 10:08Speaker 3: is correct. And we're gonna start with story number one,
- 10:12Speaker 3: which is cat fails to murder owner despite tripping and
- 10:16Speaker 3: breaking his neck and lying in his own blood for
- 10:18Speaker 3: fourteen hours.
- 10:20Speaker 4: What the fuck?
- 10:21Speaker 3: I'm just gonna point out these are all British stories.
- 10:24Speaker 3: That's one of the reasons.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Tried suggest that's why he owns a dog.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Crunch is why you've got me on the show to
- 10:32Speaker 6: highlight the the British or asshole.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It's not just a cat.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Crunchy is just smarter than the every person or this
- 10:42Speaker 3: person average man. So this man his hairless sphinx cat
- 10:49Speaker 3: jumped up and latched onto his leg as he was
- 10:54Speaker 3: going down the stairs. Uh, and he was left with
- 10:59Speaker 3: a cat's traffic injuries somewhat akin to a car crash.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean yeah, if you really yeah, fucked yourself.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna see if I can run down the list
- 11:12Speaker 1: of injuries.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Oh Jesus, there, it's probably a decent size list.
- 11:18Speaker 3: See if I can find the entire So it was.
- 11:20Speaker 3: It was kind of hilarious.
- 11:23Speaker 5: As you go, I'll just find those injuries.
- 11:24Speaker 6: I sold the headline for this, and immediately my head
- 11:26Speaker 6: went to Eddie Murphy.
- 11:36Speaker 3: He he broke, he broke nine ribs, Oh my god,
- 11:41Speaker 3: fractured his spine fuck and cracked his skull, leaving him
- 11:47Speaker 3: with a bleed on the brain.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's not gonna.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Be And then he laid on the floor, awake and
- 11:54Speaker 3: conscious but unable to move for fourteen hours, Oh my god,
- 12:00Speaker 3: until his partner came home from work and found him
- 12:04Speaker 3: and called emergency services. Fucked up? What's funny is of
- 12:09Speaker 3: everything that happened to him? He said, that was the worst.
- 12:12Speaker 3: The fourteen hours of just being trapped in my own
- 12:15Speaker 3: body and being unable to do anything. Yeah, and I'm like,
- 12:19Speaker 3: I mean, is what terrifies me when I get a
- 12:22Speaker 3: bad hit of weed. That's what I feel like.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Yeah, pain is temporary, but not being able that horrified.
- 12:30Speaker 3: That is absolutely horrifying. It's scary and famous.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Fourteen hours could be the wait for an ambulance in general,
- 12:36Speaker 6: so you.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Know that is also.
- 12:41Speaker 3: In his case. They did arrive relatively quickly. And here's
- 12:45Speaker 3: the best news. He's fine, he's he's actually going to
- 12:50Speaker 3: be okay, Like, none of these injuries were permanent. Spin
- 12:57Speaker 3: was fractured completely separate.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, yeah, but he was.
- 13:05Speaker 3: And he has to wear a neck brace while he recovers.
- 13:08Speaker 3: But that is essentially the worst of it. But I mean,
- 13:13Speaker 3: it's true that his cat came very very close to
- 13:16Speaker 3: killing this man.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Now has his cat been eyeing him suspiciously since then?
- 13:21Speaker 3: What's funny is he mentioned that the cat was there
- 13:24Speaker 3: trying to need his injuries, like literally like help, literally
- 13:30Speaker 3: pawing at his trying to help. Oh man, if there
- 13:34Speaker 3: was such a thing, if there was such a thing
- 13:37Speaker 3: as a cat feeling guilt, that might have been his
- 13:41Speaker 3: he was needing.
- 13:42Speaker 4: To try to comfort.
- 13:43Speaker 1: No, they feel guilt for sure. Oh yeah, but yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 1: I bet the cat was his cold and this is
- 13:47Speaker 1: trying to like hug his legs. It was needed warm.
- 13:49Speaker 3: It was playing.
- 13:51Speaker 1: It's definitely playing until he falls down the stairs again.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Then we know it's a cat text until it happens again.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Any thoughts or do you live in a bungalow? No?
- 14:01Speaker 6: I do live in hours. But thankfully I've got a dog.
- 14:03Speaker 6: This big enough fucking realized what he's about to jump
- 14:05Speaker 6: on me.
- 14:08Speaker 3: I can't be.
- 14:11Speaker 6: That that cat stays in number, because as soon as
- 14:12Speaker 6: he's getting home, he's turning into cat food. I do
- 14:19Speaker 6: like the fact that he's actually named the cat after
- 14:21Speaker 6: a stand up comedian from many many moons ago called
- 14:24Speaker 6: Eric Warm. Yes, I'm sure he's laughing about it now.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I did. I did notice that, and I was like,
- 14:31Speaker 3: from workman, why is really that's the one? Yeah? Apparently,
- 14:35Speaker 3: but okay, it was an interesting choice, I thought, But
- 14:41Speaker 3: I never thought of more like trying to kill people.
- 14:45Speaker 3: But maybe I don't.
- 14:46Speaker 6: Know me Sunshine, before you.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Die bloodily at the bottom of your stairs, let's be
- 14:56Speaker 3: around a story. Number two. The Great Cheese Height con
- 15:01Speaker 3: Men steal fifty thousand pounds of luxury cheese.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Luxury cheese like a.
- 15:09Speaker 6: Lot of shado.
- 15:11Speaker 3: So this was a thoroughly planned and apparently well executed heist.
- 15:18Speaker 3: The con men posed as a legitimate wholesale distributor for
- 15:23Speaker 3: a major French retailer that the dairy had done business
- 15:27Speaker 3: with before, and the cheese was delivered to them before
- 15:35Speaker 3: the discovery of the fraudulent identity. Despite the significant financial blow,
- 15:41Speaker 3: the dairy has continued to manage to honor its other commitments. Good,
- 15:47Speaker 3: but the loss is over three hundred thousand British pounds
- 15:54Speaker 3: worth of cloth pound sheddar.
- 15:56Speaker 1: That's so much cheddar.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Damn, it was over twenty he was over twenty two tons,
- 16:08Speaker 3: nine hundred and fifty different cheeses of three artisan cheddars,
- 16:13Speaker 3: including hay Fud, Welsh Organic cheddar, Westcombe Cheddar and Pitchfork cheddar.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Wow, I don't think I've ever had any of those.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Well, no, it's hard to find a Welsh person the
- 16:24Speaker 1: milk to get that stuff.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Let me highlight how much my wife is a cheese bean,
- 16:29Speaker 6: because I think her DNA is part rot. I told
- 16:33Speaker 6: her about these three cheeses that got stolen, and literally
- 16:37Speaker 6: her first word is out.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Second breath. Was that's good? Cheddar fucking right?
- 16:44Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, well, must be gotta try it now. Hopefully
- 16:50Speaker 4: not all of it's been stolen like he had to
- 16:52Speaker 4: order it.
- 16:54Speaker 3: And people ask the people at Neil's dere Yard Dairy, like,
- 16:58Speaker 3: how how could you surely you would know representatives from
- 17:03Speaker 3: this retailer right.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Where they like former workers.
- 17:06Speaker 3: According to them, the artisan cheese world is a place
- 17:10Speaker 3: where trust is deeply embedded in all transactions. Oh, they
- 17:15Speaker 3: tend to trust people who say they're from companies that
- 17:19Speaker 3: that they do business with.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't do that, guys.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I guess that, but I would have made a phone
- 17:24Speaker 3: call at the very least.
- 17:26Speaker 4: A perfect world. Sure, but they can't just trust somebody's
- 17:31Speaker 4: word off the rip.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Speaking of guys, I got this cheese, supply, I need
- 17:34Speaker 1: to help get picked up. And I need to stand
- 17:36Speaker 1: by this phone and just say yes, sir, I.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Got a whole lot of Buddha. I need to get moved.
- 17:42Speaker 6: Well, I'm from the CIA, the Intelligent Agents.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I'm from the FBI, the Federal Reinvestigators.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I'm just stoned. I want some cheese.
- 18:01Speaker 4: I'm an entire army of rats.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Well, the good news is that while it's not quite
- 18:08Speaker 3: a perfect crime. They they've already arrested someone in connection
- 18:13Speaker 3: with this ast and we'll see if the full gang
- 18:16Speaker 3: gets arrested.
- 18:17Speaker 4: They set up a mouse trap and catch him.
- 18:20Speaker 1: The game a little net came down like.
- 18:23Speaker 4: The board game mouse traps at the end like a
- 18:28Speaker 4: ship that they're just like ten hours of setup.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Oh man, what was this big beetle here?
- 18:35Speaker 4: Those are a huge cage. It all goes like halfway
- 18:37Speaker 4: down and gets stuck every time, every fucking time.
- 18:41Speaker 6: That used to be a kids TV show in the
- 18:43Speaker 6: UK in the nineties. Really, yeah, you had a huge
- 18:48Speaker 6: mouse trap in studio.
- 18:49Speaker 9: Oh damn?
- 18:51Speaker 4: Did it work well?
- 18:56Speaker 1: And not working?
- 18:57Speaker 4: That's how you know the board game was made in
- 18:58Speaker 4: America or half the time.
- 19:02Speaker 3: All right, are you guys ready for your third and
- 19:04Speaker 3: final story, Yes, sir, Story number three, cheating accusations, Shake
- 19:08Speaker 3: Up World Conquer Championships, uh and conquer spelled co O
- 19:14Speaker 3: n K E R. I think it. I don't know
- 19:17Speaker 3: if I'm right right about this, but for some reason
- 19:20Speaker 3: I thought this game was called Conquers, like plural. But
- 19:24Speaker 3: maybe I'm thinking of something else.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, no, it's kind of the same thing. It's
- 19:28Speaker 5: basically concurs. It's about of conquers. So he's one conquer
- 19:32Speaker 5: at a time.
- 19:33Speaker 3: So basically.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Keep using the word you know what it means.
- 19:39Speaker 3: So a conquer is basically a chestnut. We have no
- 19:43Speaker 3: ch chestnutt yeah, yeah, yeah, a little tiny chestnut. Okay, you.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Never heard of conquers bed for.
- 19:54Speaker 3: No, that's that's not remotely related. No, a chestnut. You
- 20:00Speaker 3: hit other chestnuts with that chestnut. That that's the whole game.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Like marbles, I guess chestnuts, I have no clue.
- 20:08Speaker 6: So so what they do is they drill a hole
- 20:11Speaker 6: in the middle of the chestnut, put a string that
- 20:13Speaker 6: they tie it on, and basically your opponent holds their
- 20:18Speaker 6: chestnut right in front of them, and what you've got
- 20:21Speaker 6: to do is try and fling your chestnut at their chestnuts,
- 20:23Speaker 6: try and break their chestnut. The first person whose chestnut
- 20:27Speaker 6: breaks loses.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Okay, can yes, we're weird.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Can you wind up like in like swing, like a
- 20:34Speaker 1: baseball swing. Your thing is and I have to be
- 20:37Speaker 1: a fling.
- 20:38Speaker 5: You wind it up, and then it's like.
- 20:40Speaker 9: You can't be like spinning it.
- 20:42Speaker 1: And then just like wa, like it.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Has to be controlled. I mean to come from I believe.
- 20:50Speaker 1: I mean, it would be the first person to do it. Okay,
- 20:53Speaker 1: get out.
- 20:54Speaker 4: There's a sport out there where you just straight up
- 20:56Speaker 4: bitch slapper do it until they fall over.
- 20:58Speaker 6: So I mean, remember the last time I was on
- 21:01Speaker 6: I was talking about shit kickings.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's true shitting kicking.
- 21:06Speaker 3: So the man who won this tournament, the World Champions
- 21:09Speaker 3: in Southwick, Northamptonshire, on Sunday, is eighty two year old
- 21:16Speaker 3: David Jakins. Damn but on suspicions of cheating, he was
- 21:21Speaker 3: searched and the organizers found a steel conquer replica painted
- 21:26Speaker 3: to look like a chestnut. What the fuck you, old
- 21:30Speaker 3: piece in his pocket. He has strenuously denied using it
- 21:34Speaker 3: during the tournament, said he used it only for comedic purposes. However,
- 21:41Speaker 3: the person he beat in the final said, my conquered
- 21:44Speaker 3: disintegrated in one hit and that just doesn't happen, you know.
- 21:49Speaker 3: And so I don't know, but I strongly suspect that this,
- 21:54Speaker 3: this old ass man cheated that conquers And I'm like,
- 21:59Speaker 3: it's Conquerors.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I mean, you're cheating out of sport?
- 22:04Speaker 3: Is still on sportsman like, well yeah, yeah, I'm not
- 22:07Speaker 3: arguing that off his head. No, I'm just that's not
- 22:10Speaker 3: the part I'm arguing about. Why would you cheat at this?
- 22:14Speaker 4: I don't know people cheat at chest. Remember the dude
- 22:16Speaker 4: who had a butt plug that told him what move
- 22:18Speaker 4: to make?
- 22:18Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, he's like over three and up two.
- 22:21Speaker 4: He's like, beep, beep boom.
- 22:24Speaker 3: How do you know?
- 22:24Speaker 6: It's for fucking kids?
- 22:26Speaker 5: That's my problem.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's eighty two year old and the other the
- 22:29Speaker 3: other guy's twenty three years old, and like they're all adults. Wow,
- 22:33Speaker 3: more than two thousand conquerors had been prepared prior to
- 22:36Speaker 3: the event. Oh my god, the fuck. Yeah, this is
- 22:41Speaker 3: the real thing.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I mean, I believe it. It doesn't sound terrible, but
- 22:45Speaker 4: it does sound terrible at someone potentially cheated.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Any other thoughts crunchy before we move on.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Other than the father is for kids? Why why would
- 22:55Speaker 6: you take a steel conquer to a fucking thing like that?
- 22:59Speaker 5: I think he was one of the judges if I
- 23:01Speaker 5: remember rightly, Oh Ship, what the fuck?
- 23:04Speaker 6: Yeah, he'd been one of the judges previously, so he's like.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Wow, No, he hadn't been the judge previously, noting this.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Knew how to cheat, and yeah, right, you know what,
- 23:13Speaker 1: everybody in the tournament should be allowed to conquer his
- 23:16Speaker 1: face once.
- 23:16Speaker 4: My guess is that they probably told him that to
- 23:18Speaker 4: win like another championship, to be a judge or continue
- 23:21Speaker 4: to be a druggle judge or something like that, so
- 23:23Speaker 4: he cheated so he could be Oh that's so nice though.
- 23:26Speaker 5: See that's the thing.
- 23:27Speaker 6: We used to call it conkering, but then we felt
- 23:29Speaker 6: like it needs to be a little bit softer, so
- 23:31Speaker 6: we just changed it and called it tea bagging.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Sounds so much like less aggressive.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Then you won't conquering. At least you can kind of
- 23:43Speaker 4: got a correlation there.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, gentlemen. So uh, here are your three
- 23:51Speaker 3: news stories. Once again, cat fails to murder owner, the
- 23:55Speaker 3: great cheese heist, and cheating accusations shake up the world
- 23:58Speaker 3: conquered championships. Which would I like? Which would I share in?
- 24:01Speaker 3: Which would I block? To take the first episode? Point? Uh, Crunchy,
- 24:05Speaker 3: you are our special guest and you are facing these
- 24:08Speaker 3: other two together as a team. So I'm going to
- 24:11Speaker 3: give you the first choice.
- 24:12Speaker 10: Sir.
- 24:13Speaker 6: What do you like to see me double teamed by
- 24:16Speaker 6: two Americans? It's fine, Yes, I want you.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Double team by two anything.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Honestly, grab two bananas. He's happy.
- 24:27Speaker 5: Tonight.
- 24:27Speaker 6: I will be double teamed by two conquers.
- 24:32Speaker 4: They go on.
- 24:35Speaker 3: While eating some cheddar.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Needs to be the new youth of Visabeth Sex. I'm
- 24:39Speaker 6: gonna shut your record tonight.
- 24:44Speaker 1: You know what, I think I'll pass on. I'm good.
- 24:49Speaker 6: I think from my perspective, you'll probably pass on the
- 24:53Speaker 6: conquerors thing because it's for fucking kids. That's my perspective,
- 24:57Speaker 6: not yours. You'll probably fake don't even know about because
- 25:00Speaker 6: they're fucking adults.
- 25:01Speaker 5: But there you go.
- 25:03Speaker 6: I'll say you'll like the cat one because he it
- 25:07Speaker 6: was a bad story, but he ended up okay in
- 25:09Speaker 6: the end, even though the cat is going to be
- 25:13Speaker 6: if it was already shaving it even more shaven. And
- 25:17Speaker 6: I think you'll share the cheese one, because holy fuck cheese.
- 25:22Speaker 3: All right? Fair enough, uh, Stevie. And you can keep
- 25:27Speaker 3: one of those three, but you'll have to change the
- 25:29Speaker 3: other two or you can go entirely your own way.
- 25:32Speaker 9: What do you guys think we.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Will go some way? Co I'm thinking all the way,
- 25:44Speaker 1: all the way. I think we should swap the like
- 25:47Speaker 1: and share like, share the cat, like the cheese. But
- 25:50Speaker 1: still block the conquer thing. What do you think you
- 25:55Speaker 1: do you want to change that?
- 25:58Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 26:00Speaker 11: Right?
- 26:01Speaker 4: No, I think you're right. I think you're on the Yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 4: I think you're on the money.
- 26:04Speaker 1: There, we're all thinking the conquerors are getting blocked. Yeah, okay,
- 26:07Speaker 1: so we're blocking the conquer.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Protecting his acorn block nut block.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Okay, so the Dream Team, you guys are blocking the
- 26:17Speaker 3: Conquer Championships. You are liking the Great Cheese Heist and
- 26:21Speaker 3: sharing the cat murder, and you are liking the cat murder.
- 26:28Speaker 3: You are sharing the cheese heist and you are blocking
- 26:32Speaker 3: the Conquer Championships.
- 26:33Speaker 5: Can we just have a little bit of phrasing that
- 26:35Speaker 5: you're liking the cat murder you like.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I don't know if I don't know if it's any
- 26:41Speaker 3: better saying that they're sharing cat murder.
- 26:45Speaker 1: We have allies.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I can tell you that. I can tell you that
- 26:50Speaker 3: neither side got it completely right. Yeah, I blocked the
- 26:55Speaker 3: Great Cheese Heist.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Really yeah, there's not much money they lost.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I well, no, I don't like cheese.
- 27:01Speaker 4: I know black that ship.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I couldn't give a ship, not a single solitary.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Ship, because you'd be constipated, because exactly exactly.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I'd be blocked up as no thank you. But from
- 27:18Speaker 3: there I liked the Conquered Championships because I mean, it's
- 27:22Speaker 3: just so ridiculous.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Uh.
- 27:24Speaker 3: And I shared the cat murder, so Crunchy got none
- 27:28Speaker 3: of them, right, but Steve and Oggie did get my share,
- 27:31Speaker 3: so they win the game. They have earned one episode point.
- 27:34Speaker 3: He won this week.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Guys, congratulations, you're not show.
- 27:39Speaker 3: You're not done yet, and you know better, you idiot.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Try it. I tried.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Nobody's pulling the wool over these eyes. Crunchy is gonna
- 27:50Speaker 3: get another chance. We're gonna play game two. It's worth
- 27:52Speaker 3: two episode points and we're playing it right after this.
- 28:05Speaker 5: Hey, you there, We've got a question for you.
- 28:08Speaker 12: Are you tired of clickbait stories and the loudest voices
- 28:11Speaker 12: driving discussions and culture and entertainment. If so, I'm Dylan,
- 28:15Speaker 12: I'm Kendall, and I'm Corey, and.
- 28:17Speaker 3: We host the podcast from the Middle.
- 28:20Speaker 9: We're middle class guys living in the middle of America.
- 28:23Speaker 3: In the middle chapters of our lives with points of
- 28:25Speaker 3: view Somewhere in the middle.
- 28:27Speaker 13: We take a more reasonable and centrist approach, and our
- 28:29Speaker 13: discussions covering genres like comedy, culture, entertainment, and interviews with
- 28:35Speaker 13: really interesting folks like business owners, comic creators, doctors, news anchors,
- 28:40Speaker 13: New York Times best selling illustrators, professional stand up comics,
- 28:44Speaker 13: and more. We really value a relaxed and conversational podcast,
- 28:49Speaker 13: one that we hope is so fun and laid back
- 28:52Speaker 13: you'll forget you're not actually hanging out with us.
- 28:55Speaker 12: So search at from the midpod just like it sounds,
- 28:59Speaker 12: or check us out every where you can find podcasts.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Oh, I got you, you fucking legend. Yeah, absolutely, just
- 29:17Speaker 3: faulting the countdown. Oh it was some questions anyway, Hey,
- 29:21Speaker 3: welcome back and time game two. Game two is gonna
- 29:24Speaker 3: be Pitch Me a Baby one more time. So the
- 29:28Speaker 3: here's the way it's gonna work. I usually give our
- 29:30Speaker 3: players control of a media icon or property and just
- 29:33Speaker 3: give them a strange circumstance to work with, and I
- 29:36Speaker 3: tell them to give me a pitch. And whoever's pitch
- 29:38Speaker 3: is the best is the one I'm going to award
- 29:40Speaker 3: the winner and they will receive two episode points. So
- 29:43Speaker 3: for this, Pitch Me Baby. November fourth was the tenth
- 29:47Speaker 3: anniversary of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and while it
- 29:51Speaker 3: didn't sell better than most other CODs. I love the
- 29:55Speaker 3: fact that it took its core gameplay and took it
- 29:58Speaker 3: into a drastically different time period. So I want you
- 30:02Speaker 3: guys to do the same. You can take any game, book,
- 30:05Speaker 3: TV or movie franchise and pitch me an offshoot of
- 30:09Speaker 3: it in a drastically different time period. Convince me it
- 30:14Speaker 3: still works or works even better, and the best pitch
- 30:18Speaker 3: will earn themselves two episode points. Now, all three of
- 30:22Speaker 3: you are going to pitch me something. The player with
- 30:24Speaker 3: the best pitch or wins the game for their either
- 30:27Speaker 3: their selves in Crunchy's case, or your team in the
- 30:31Speaker 3: case of the two of you. So with that being said, Crunchy,
- 30:34Speaker 3: you lost the last game, so you have the choice.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Do you want to make these two idiots go first?
- 30:38Speaker 3: Or would you rather go first?
- 30:40Speaker 6: I have any confidence in what I'm about to pitch,
- 30:42Speaker 6: so I will let Pink over there go.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Neither one is the brain. Yeah, gentlemen, switch one of
- 30:54Speaker 3: you two would like to pitch me first.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I think I'm going to because I think all you
- 30:57Speaker 1: might win it, so I must get my two fee.
- 31:00Speaker 4: But through this, Okay, yeah, right.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Okay, In that case, pitch me, here's my pitch, gentlemen,
- 31:10Speaker 1: Medieval bard band, so instead of rock band, it's medieval
- 31:16Speaker 1: and you're all bards. So it can be played either
- 31:19Speaker 1: single or cooperatively through campaign, and you get to choose
- 31:24Speaker 1: your instrument with the instrument of choice, or you could
- 31:28Speaker 1: sing if you like to sing. But the options starting
- 31:31Speaker 1: off with the game are a lute, a harp, a
- 31:35Speaker 1: hurdy gurdy's the crank freaking dual frame drums like the
- 31:40Speaker 1: war drums, but the dual ones, so you can actually
- 31:43Speaker 1: do that. And then, like I said, the singing as well.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Your bard band will travel the small villages to perform
- 31:49Speaker 1: in ends and taverns, and there you gain gold and
- 31:54Speaker 1: fame and lute. And then the loot can be like
- 31:56Speaker 1: extra unlocks like instruments, skins, and character items like clothing, gear, emotes,
- 32:02Speaker 1: and even like new sayings for voice actors like vo
- 32:06Speaker 1: so they have like new sayings they can unlock and
- 32:08Speaker 1: stuff for like the shows. And then as you travel
- 32:11Speaker 1: through all these towns, you eventually gain enough fame to
- 32:14Speaker 1: play for the ruler of that province or whatever, and
- 32:17Speaker 1: if prove your band or your bard band headlines for
- 32:21Speaker 1: the regent's actual festival at the end of that season,
- 32:25Speaker 1: and then you would go on to like the next
- 32:27Speaker 1: like region and you do almost the same thing, you know,
- 32:29Speaker 1: and then you get a bigger fame. So the music
- 32:32Speaker 1: that will actually use will be a lot of bardcore music.
- 32:35Speaker 1: So it's gonna have the option of having like the
- 32:37Speaker 1: bardcore version of a lot of songs you already know,
- 32:40Speaker 1: with the option later on to do the OG downloadables.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Other than that, after completing the main story, you and
- 32:48Speaker 1: lock an added minigame that plays as you perform, and
- 32:53Speaker 1: you can enable or disable it. But the background of
- 32:56Speaker 1: the game now shows your characters, anybody who's in the
- 32:58Speaker 1: band and the adventure, fighting monsters or dungeons as you
- 33:02Speaker 1: complete each song. So now there's like a little thing
- 33:04Speaker 1: after you do like the main story and stuff, and
- 33:07Speaker 1: then locks this little thing. So you're watching like a
- 33:08Speaker 1: dungeon crawl as you're GM and out and stuff to
- 33:10Speaker 1: your music because you're all bards and you see these
- 33:13Speaker 1: characters going through dungeons like you're inspiring them and stuff.
- 33:18Speaker 1: But heck, yeah, I think we could sell it pretty cheap.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I I mean, you pulled it back a little bit
- 33:27Speaker 3: and you said that it would be bardcore music because
- 33:30Speaker 3: I was like, we're gonna be playing minstrel tunes from
- 33:33Speaker 3: like the sixteen fourteen.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Oh, I mean it might be two or three that I'm.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Like, Jesus, But you got me a little bit on
- 33:44Speaker 3: board with it. But I mean, I don't know if
- 33:47Speaker 3: it's gonna work as good as regular rock band or better. Honestly.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I mean, I imagine there'll be some people who are
- 33:56Speaker 3: gonna be into it, but it's never gonna be as
- 33:57Speaker 3: big as rock band.
- 33:58Speaker 1: That's fair. I don't think I'm just trying to research
- 34:01Speaker 1: rock band.
- 34:01Speaker 3: But not bad. Not bad. So let's move on to
- 34:06Speaker 3: your partner, Ague, what do you got for me?
- 34:08Speaker 4: Okay? So I technically chose movie friendranchise here, but it's
- 34:14Speaker 4: more movie than franchise. But I feel this movie would
- 34:20Speaker 4: work best in the past.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Uh.
- 34:22Speaker 4: The producers by mel Brooks in ancient Rome. So instead
- 34:28Speaker 4: of Broadway there, this is taking place Roman Colisseum.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Okay, so it's the.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Plot, doesn't change. It's the same same plot where a
- 34:43Speaker 4: producer of plays at the Roman Coliseum who had a
- 34:48Speaker 4: flop recently had to have his ship looked at, and
- 34:53Speaker 4: of course an accounting comes in all stuff like that
- 34:55Speaker 4: same plot and everything, but instead of uh it being
- 35:02Speaker 4: uh springtime for Hitler, it would be uh springtime for
- 35:06Speaker 4: Julius Caesar, So it would be springtime for Julius. It
- 35:12Speaker 4: would be Julius Elizabeth Caesar instead of instead of Adolf
- 35:18Speaker 4: Elizabeth Hitler and the song because it'd still be a
- 35:23Speaker 4: musical like the movie would be, and so the songs
- 35:26Speaker 4: would be changed to better accommodate the setting they're in. So,
- 35:30Speaker 4: you know, in springtime for Caeesar in Italy, springtime for
- 35:36Speaker 4: Romans once more, you know, stuff like that, although I
- 35:40Speaker 4: same exact plotch but in ancient Rome? Did I lose
- 35:46Speaker 4: you somewhere? Like you're looking at me like I just
- 35:49Speaker 4: spoke to you in a different language. Did I speak
- 35:52Speaker 4: to you in Roman me like he.
- 35:55Speaker 5: Was wondering at to brute?
- 35:57Speaker 4: Yeah? Right, I feel like I got stabbed.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I oh, man, I don't know, I know, I don't know,
- 36:06Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 36:07Speaker 4: You don't know.
- 36:08Speaker 3: It's it's it's weird and ill pudding. I'm not sure
- 36:13Speaker 3: if it's.
- 36:15Speaker 4: Don't I don't know.
- 36:16Speaker 3: If it's me or if it's the pitch. But I'm
- 36:18Speaker 3: struggling to wrap my brain around this.
- 36:20Speaker 4: I'm like maybe it's something he's got to revisit later
- 36:22Speaker 4: and go watch the movie and then think about it.
- 36:26Speaker 4: I guess I don't know.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Let me think about it. I just saw the show
- 36:30Speaker 3: with mister Rodobino, a friend of the show, in the
- 36:33Speaker 3: lead role as guys, and it was incredible. And now
- 36:39Speaker 3: I'm just picturing him in a toga and it's confusing me.
- 36:42Speaker 3: And that's your So I'm gonna I'm gonna try and
- 36:46Speaker 3: separate that from the actual show and the pitch that
- 36:48Speaker 3: you've given me. And while I think about that, I'm
- 36:50Speaker 3: gonna ask. I'm gonna ask Crunchy to distract me so
- 36:54Speaker 3: that my brain can work on that in the background,
- 36:56Speaker 3: so you can forget it. No, I'm letting it go
- 37:00Speaker 3: into my sub processes where it will actually work better.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I think, Crunchy, what do you go from me?
- 37:09Speaker 5: Right?
- 37:09Speaker 6: So I will all you Now I've also gone Medievil
- 37:12Speaker 6: with the ship. It's time to play Wheel of Famine.
- 37:21Speaker 6: In medieval timee survival isn't guaranteed. Every meal is a
- 37:24Speaker 6: precious commodity. Wheel Famine plunges contestants into a world where
- 37:28Speaker 6: spinning the wheel can mean the difference between a feast
- 37:30Speaker 6: or a famine, a contestant's life and life sustaining food
- 37:33Speaker 6: in a game where every mortal matters. Each episode will
- 37:36Speaker 6: have three contestants spinning their way into a banquet instead
- 37:39Speaker 6: of another Knight of Hunger. The Grand Wheel, which is
- 37:41Speaker 6: just a cartwheel made with marked with symbols of varium
- 37:43Speaker 6: food supplies, is the main part of the game. The
- 37:46Speaker 6: set will resemble a medieval village square with rustic wooden structures,
- 37:51Speaker 6: and your host is going to be an executioner because
- 37:54Speaker 6: all the people who don't make it to the fire
- 37:55Speaker 6: are going to be killed.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Jesus.
- 37:59Speaker 6: There'll be your loot hero band in the corner playing
- 38:03Speaker 6: the melodies. As we go through the game, contestants will
- 38:06Speaker 6: answer random twitter of questions about medieval survival history through preservation,
- 38:11Speaker 6: everything like that rather than a bankrupt there's going to
- 38:13Speaker 6: be a empty storeroom square so that people could actually
- 38:17Speaker 6: lose their shit. There'll be little challenges just to spicings
- 38:21Speaker 6: up a bit, like fire starting, water fetching, or haggling
- 38:25Speaker 6: with the merchant to try and buy vowels. All the
- 38:28Speaker 6: phrases are actually painted on with mud, and then the
- 38:32Speaker 6: top contestant will face the final spin of the wheel
- 38:35Speaker 6: and they'll either win it or land on pestilence or raiders,
- 38:39Speaker 6: or they'll probably die as well, just because they haven't
- 38:42Speaker 6: eaten and they don't get their food death at the end,
- 38:44Speaker 6: they'll just die. But I think it's going to work
- 38:47Speaker 6: because it tapps into the drama of survival, offering that
- 38:52Speaker 6: compating twist if people trying to spin a wheel to
- 38:55Speaker 6: survive rather than to win prizes or anything like that.
- 38:58Speaker 6: So you get to see the reserve into these competitors
- 39:01Speaker 6: as they play the game, And that's my pitch. Damn
- 39:09Speaker 6: for the people listening at home, I just got either
- 39:12Speaker 6: the most look or the most shot look that prepared.
- 39:18Speaker 3: I can I can't. Oh my god, I can't hear this.
- 39:25Speaker 3: What we can't kill people? Oh my god? If we
- 39:30Speaker 3: if we were going if we were going back in
- 39:33Speaker 3: time and making the show. Maybe, but I have to
- 39:37Speaker 3: air this now.
- 39:40Speaker 6: You don't have to air the murder afterwards.
- 39:42Speaker 5: You definitely know why.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Then you know the audience who actually wants to see it,
- 39:46Speaker 1: Oh my god, they by yeah, by it you're.
- 39:54Speaker 6: Ahead of it can be hosted by mister Beast.
- 39:56Speaker 3: I think argue you can't kind of win by default.
- 40:00Speaker 6: How dare you?
- 40:01Speaker 9: Yeah, I feel I can't.
- 40:04Speaker 3: I love the work that in the detail that you
- 40:08Speaker 3: put into it, crunchy, But what I'm looking at these
- 40:13Speaker 3: like actual products that I would want to produce and
- 40:17Speaker 3: make a real thing. And unless it's like unless there's
- 40:21Speaker 3: like a whole drama behind it, like a squid Game
- 40:24Speaker 3: kind of thing that you've left out of your pitch,
- 40:27Speaker 3: then this doesn't really work.
- 40:30Speaker 6: It's just pitch. But this is the page we build from.
- 40:33Speaker 6: But we can, we can have like a survival.
- 40:37Speaker 7: I have to.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I have to grade it based on what you've given me,
- 40:40Speaker 3: not based on what I built onto it.
- 40:43Speaker 6: So you will share the funk out of a cat,
- 40:48Speaker 6: almost kidding the human. You would be able to share
- 40:51Speaker 6: the funk out of this.
- 40:55Speaker 3: No, no, I I wouldn't watch it, just like squid Game.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I wouldn't watch it, but I know it would be popular,
- 41:09Speaker 3: so it would be you know what, maybe you're right,
- 41:15Speaker 3: Maybe just extreme violence, just for the points of just
- 41:19Speaker 3: for the points of extreme violence. That's why the boys
- 41:21Speaker 3: as popular as why band people am sticking to my
- 41:30Speaker 3: initial judgment wins because we could actually do that and
- 41:35Speaker 3: make money.
- 41:36Speaker 4: True, and it wouldn't be the first time that mel
- 41:39Speaker 4: Brooks did a film where he did like almost an
- 41:42Speaker 4: ancient Greece ancient rome t Actually, yeah, so, if anything,
- 41:48Speaker 4: you may be retriting old ground.
- 41:50Speaker 3: But I didn't take that into consideration.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Neither did I.
- 41:54Speaker 3: So is two points to the dream Team zero But
- 42:01Speaker 3: fret not, deer, Crunchy, fretnot. Game three is for all
- 42:07Speaker 3: the marbles, as it were. It is also worth three points.
- 42:14Speaker 3: It is also worth three points.
- 42:16Speaker 7: Uh.
- 42:16Speaker 3: And if you win it, you can tie the game
- 42:18Speaker 3: and everybody will win more Stevie and Aggie could win
- 42:24Speaker 3: and it is a full blowout. I hope that is
- 42:27Speaker 3: not the case.
- 42:28Speaker 4: And we just bullied you the entire time.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Literally literally bullied Crunchy the entire game usual as opposed
- 42:38Speaker 3: to the usual lubing ourselves up and bending over. We've changed,
- 42:42Speaker 3: so you have Dear God, it's Trump's America now. So jesus. Uh,
- 42:50Speaker 3: let's we're gonna play game three when we come back,
- 42:53Speaker 3: and I hope we do come back right after this.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Hey man, let's check out our mailbox. See what we got.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Do we have any voicemails, comments, emails, anything, what's up?
- 43:13Speaker 1: We got a couple things, actually got a comment on
- 43:16Speaker 1: what is that twitter that's on Twitter? Or I know
- 43:20Speaker 1: I don't tell.
- 43:21Speaker 3: The other thing, but but I haven't seen this.
- 43:26Speaker 1: That's why I grabbed it and threw it into the
- 43:27Speaker 1: cho Thank you so much for this. Do you want
- 43:30Speaker 1: to read it or do you want me to?
- 43:32Speaker 3: I will read it because I just love it. A
- 43:36Speaker 3: very exciting and special role announcement from Caroline Origel's on Twitter.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I had the honor of voicing Victoria and my dear
- 43:43Speaker 3: friend Aaron's audiobook of his original novel Thane. What a
- 43:47Speaker 3: joy it has been to see the story told in
- 43:49Speaker 3: his way and to be part of telling it. Check
- 43:52Speaker 3: it out here. And she put a link to the
- 43:54Speaker 3: audible page for my audiobook, which is just delightful. Thank
- 43:58Speaker 3: you so much, Caroline. Uh, your participation in both the
- 44:03Speaker 3: audiobook and my life is appreciated so much. I can't
- 44:07Speaker 3: even tell you awesome. So I'm very pleased about that.
- 44:11Speaker 6: Yeah, congratulations on the audio, but due yeah, crazy, it's
- 44:17Speaker 6: so long, so you deserve to have this.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Wait a minute, what happened at Crunchy? There's a cow
- 44:23Speaker 3: where Crunchy should be.
- 44:25Speaker 5: Are you trying to have him fun? How are you?
- 44:27Speaker 2: What?
- 44:27Speaker 3: No? No, absolutely not. Absolutely no, I didn't. I didn't know.
- 44:32Speaker 4: I just you're Wow, it's a boot with a lot
- 44:34Speaker 4: of eyes.
- 44:35Speaker 3: White black spotted coloring. Never mind, I'm not going to
- 44:39Speaker 3: talk about I'm not going to talk about coloring. Not
- 44:42Speaker 3: going to talk about coloring. Let's so, what else do
- 44:46Speaker 3: we have? Do we have any? Have a voicemail?
- 44:49Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 44:49Speaker 1: I did not listen to it, but it is on
- 44:51Speaker 1: the tablet Oh boy, here we go.
- 44:53Speaker 3: You hit it.
- 45:01Speaker 11: It's me Aaron the when you tortured in Vegas. Also,
- 45:04Speaker 11: I knew Algie would never be mean to me because
- 45:07Speaker 11: he is always amazing.
- 45:10Speaker 3: It's not cool.
- 45:13Speaker 11: I know you have this super brad artist friend, so
- 45:15Speaker 11: she might want to submit and eat a Bean shirt
- 45:19Speaker 11: idea maybe or graphic. Let me know, let me know.
- 45:23Speaker 3: If you're interested.
- 45:23Speaker 11: Also, do that's I think? How eat a bean happened?
- 45:31Speaker 11: If we're being honest, was I think you all thought?
- 45:33Speaker 11: Because I had been singing do host for days Gravelly
- 45:39Speaker 11: Brenda a Carral voice, that that you assumed? I said, Okay,
- 45:48Speaker 11: we love you guys, we want to have you on
- 45:49Speaker 11: on the Lunai soon and.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Hell yeah, thank you so much. Yeah, And if you
- 45:59Speaker 3: know someone who's good art hit us up? That is
- 46:02Speaker 3: that is that is me being mean to Aaron yet again.
- 46:08Speaker 4: I'm like.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Her, Oh crap, I'm beating Aaron is excellent at art. Uh.
- 46:16Speaker 3: And we would love to, oh my god tribute.
- 46:18Speaker 1: I'd love to get all those ladies on our show
- 46:21Speaker 1: to play some games. A Golden Girls episode. Fuck yeah,
- 46:25Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. Coolcause I know I know we're
- 46:28Speaker 1: definitely gonna be on me. Have you seen Golden Girls
- 46:30Speaker 1: anytime in the last decade.
- 46:32Speaker 3: No, I'd have to rewatch, but I would totally be
- 46:34Speaker 3: down for that.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Fu You'll do a watch party in here, get high,
- 46:38Speaker 1: eat some edibles, and watch Golden Girls.
- 46:43Speaker 5: Eat bean.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:46Speaker 6: If I saw a sticker, I don't know what's going
- 46:48Speaker 6: to be.
- 46:49Speaker 1: It's gotta be something. We already got some graphics already
- 46:53Speaker 1: submitted into which is funny.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Really.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Yeah, from outside of somebody I didn't even know listen
- 46:58Speaker 1: to the show that was That was the best part.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, this badass is.
- 47:04Speaker 5: Not the vaconversion of this podcast by w.
- 47:13Speaker 3: Fucking soul.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Oh man, tell you how to make humbles over here?
- 47:18Speaker 3: Thank you imagined?
- 47:21Speaker 4: All right?
- 47:21Speaker 3: Is that everything other than that?
- 47:23Speaker 7: Oh?
- 47:24Speaker 1: One other thing? If you happen to be in the
- 47:26Speaker 1: Western New York area and you're in the market for
- 47:29Speaker 1: some recreational marijuana, be sure to stop on by to Peace,
- 47:34Speaker 1: Love and Bud on three twenty Cell Transit Road at Lockpool,
- 47:37Speaker 1: New York and tell them we sent you. Now we
- 47:40Speaker 1: can go on all right.
- 47:42Speaker 3: In that case, let's get back to the games. Hey man,
- 47:56Speaker 3: welcome back. It's time for game three. Game three is
- 47:59Speaker 3: gonna be The cost is correct.
- 48:04Speaker 1: That's correct, these costs.
- 48:08Speaker 3: I have here five items of of of British importance.
- 48:14Speaker 3: I don't know if that's the right word, British impetence, britishout,
- 48:19Speaker 3: British impotence, and uh, and one of them can't get
- 48:23Speaker 3: it up. All five of them are ties to Britain
- 48:28Speaker 3: in some way. And all I want you to do
- 48:30Speaker 3: is tell me how much they have recently gone for
- 48:34Speaker 3: sale or auction up on eBay.
- 48:36Speaker 8: UH.
- 48:37Speaker 3: The player with the closest bid without without going over,
- 48:42Speaker 3: wins the the listing UH, and the the player who
- 48:47Speaker 3: has the most listings after all five items wins the
- 48:51Speaker 3: game for their side. So with just the three of you,
- 49:00Speaker 3: we are going to do final bids. But we're going
- 49:03Speaker 3: to do it a little differently to make things fair
- 49:07Speaker 3: for Crunchy. He is going to be able to bid
- 49:11Speaker 3: between the two of you. So if one of you bids,
- 49:15Speaker 3: Crunchy gets to bid, and then if another of you bids,
- 49:19Speaker 3: crunch He gets a bid again, and so on and
- 49:21Speaker 3: so forth. So he'll get two bids for every one
- 49:24Speaker 3: that each of you get, so that each side has
- 49:26Speaker 3: a fair amount of bids. Got it all right, So Crunchy,
- 49:32Speaker 3: it is on you, sir, to start us off our first.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Our first item up for bids is this signed Doctor
- 49:39Speaker 3: Who script. This coffee stained copy of the script for
- 49:43Speaker 3: the Doctor Who episode the Eleventh Hour was signed by
- 49:47Speaker 3: Karen Gillan and can be yours if the cost is correct. Now, Crunchy,
- 49:53Speaker 3: I don't know if you've been on when we've played.
- 49:54Speaker 3: The cost is correct in this style, but it is
- 49:56Speaker 3: final bid style, meaning you keep bidding and bidding and
- 49:59Speaker 3: bidding until one of you gets either close enough that
- 50:03Speaker 3: I feel you're gonna get closer go over soon, or
- 50:07Speaker 3: one of you has gone over. I will say final bids,
- 50:11Speaker 3: and then everybody will be allowed to bid over their
- 50:14Speaker 3: previous highest bid. You don't necessarily have to overbid the
- 50:19Speaker 3: player who bid the most. But at that point you
- 50:23Speaker 3: can choose to stay where you are or increase your bid.
- 50:25Speaker 3: It is your choice, so Crunchy, you'll start us off.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Bids are in dollars, even though these are British items.
- 50:34Speaker 6: I apologize, Oh fuck you too, Why do you hate me?
- 50:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 50:37Speaker 6: I didn't see the fairness the last time we played
- 50:40Speaker 6: this game. All the ones that were in dollars I
- 50:43Speaker 6: actually wanted the one that was in powis is the
- 50:44Speaker 6: one that I lost that actually helps me a little bit.
- 50:50Speaker 3: No.
- 50:51Speaker 6: That was the first actual Matt Smith episode with the
- 50:57Speaker 6: introduction of all the characters Carra given all that, I think, ooh,
- 51:03Speaker 6: coffee stains.
- 51:04Speaker 5: It's signed just by Karen Gilliam.
- 51:06Speaker 6: I'll start with.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Two hundred dollars two.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Hundred, Yeah, Augie four hundred, four hundred, Crunchy back to you.
- 51:21Speaker 5: Uh yeah, Let's let's keep it standard.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Let's go six hundred, six hundred, Stevie eight hundred, eight
- 51:28Speaker 3: hundred played, Crunchy, is it?
- 51:31Speaker 5: Is it? Grimmed? Let's go eleven.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Hundred, eleven hundred, Augie fourteen hundred, fourteen hundred, Crunchy.
- 51:45Speaker 6: Yeah, Oh, let's go seventeen.
- 51:49Speaker 3: Hundred seventeen hundred Stevie.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Two thousand dollars.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Two thousand, and I will call final bit.
- 51:59Speaker 1: But you done.
- 52:02Speaker 3: So here's the way this will play. Crunchy, you will
- 52:07Speaker 3: be allowed to bid over Stevie if you wish or stick.
- 52:11Speaker 3: If you say stick, you're done, then Augie will get
- 52:14Speaker 3: a chance to overbid or stick, and I will keep
- 52:18Speaker 3: going until I get back to Stevie. If you overbid
- 52:21Speaker 3: Crunchy and then Augie gets to bid and he overbids you,
- 52:24Speaker 3: I will give you the chance to overbid him one
- 52:26Speaker 3: last time. So that having been said, what would you
- 52:31Speaker 3: like to do? Your last bid was seventeen hundred? Do
- 52:33Speaker 3: you want to stick or do you want to overbid?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Or bid over your last bit? I should say there's
- 52:44Speaker 3: almost there's almost no point in overbidding your last bid
- 52:46Speaker 3: if the next highest one is the highest one. So no, exactly,
- 52:50Speaker 3: you might as well. You might as well go over
- 52:51Speaker 3: two thousand. If you're gonna go over, come on.
- 52:54Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, is it worth two thousand?
- 52:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just ask my question?
- 53:01Speaker 5: Is it worth to you?
- 53:04Speaker 3: Good question?
- 53:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 53:05Speaker 6: Fuck it?
- 53:06Speaker 3: Twenty one hundred, twenty one hundred, Augie twenty three, twenty
- 53:13Speaker 3: three Crunchy, you can stick on twenty one or you
- 53:18Speaker 3: can overbid Augie.
- 53:21Speaker 6: I don't feel confident that it's more than twenty three,
- 53:25Speaker 6: so I'm going to stick with twenty one.
- 53:27Speaker 3: Okay, And Stevie, you can overbid Augie, but I recommend
- 53:30Speaker 3: against it.
- 53:31Speaker 1: No, thank you.
- 53:31Speaker 3: Okay. So with all that being said, did he go
- 53:37Speaker 3: far enough? Did he go over the actually?
- 53:41Speaker 6: Give you just a tip.
- 53:43Speaker 3: The actual final auction price of this signed coffee stained
- 53:49Speaker 3: doctor Who script twenty five hundred dollars. So Augie wins.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it's crazy, very nice.
- 53:58Speaker 4: Oh wow, I thought I and over.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Well done? Yeah, twenty five hundred bucks for that as well.
- 54:05Speaker 3: So Augie's got the first item of for bids. Let's
- 54:08Speaker 3: move on to our next. Okay, our next item of
- 54:11Speaker 3: forbids is this classic sports car, The MG MG dash
- 54:16Speaker 3: B was manufactured by British Motor Corporation and this blue
- 54:21Speaker 3: nineteen seventy four two door convertible was kept in a
- 54:25Speaker 3: garage in California and has no rust. And this listing
- 54:30Speaker 3: goes to whichever you bids closest to the final auction
- 54:33Speaker 3: price without going over a Crunchy, you will start us
- 54:36Speaker 3: off yet again?
- 54:39Speaker 6: Did you say what year it was?
- 54:41Speaker 3: Nineteen seventy four, seventy four?
- 54:47Speaker 10: No good with cars. I gotta start seventy thousand dollars.
- 54:59Speaker 3: Seventy grand. I will call for final bits.
- 55:04Speaker 5: Jesus Christ.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Sorry, Stevie, it's your turn.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I will give that person like five thousand dollars, five
- 55:18Speaker 1: thousand dollars steering wheel right on the wrong side or something.
- 55:24Speaker 6: What are you trying to say? Hey, just remember we
- 55:31Speaker 6: got it right. You're the ones that't fucked it.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Up, Crunchy, Do you want to bid over yourself? Do
- 55:36Speaker 3: you want to stay?
- 55:38Speaker 6: You're gonna stick seventy thousand cost final bit straight away.
- 55:42Speaker 5: I'm going to keep where I.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Am, all right, Augie, fuck.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Seventy five thousand, seventy five thousand, I'll do.
- 55:54Speaker 3: I'll do twelve thousand, twelve thousand. Okay. The actual final
- 56:02Speaker 3: auction price of this blue nineteen seventy four two door
- 56:06Speaker 3: convertible six five hundred dollars. Stevie wins you. You had
- 56:13Speaker 3: a shot, Crunchy if they both went over. But then
- 56:15Speaker 3: Stevie came under with five thousand, so it was a
- 56:18Speaker 3: done deal. At that point. I was like seventy I
- 56:25Speaker 3: that's true.
- 56:26Speaker 1: That's fair, it's fair.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Okay, Well, I hope you've learned something from this. If
- 56:29Speaker 3: you know fuck all about it, maybe start low.
- 56:33Speaker 6: You told me to a forty when your old man
- 56:34Speaker 6: dressed up in a cow onesie. Well, she said, I've
- 56:39Speaker 6: learned a bit. You still have an easy chance to
- 56:44Speaker 6: catch up.
- 56:45Speaker 3: They each have one, and it's the person with the
- 56:47Speaker 3: most wins at the end. So Crunchy, you can still
- 56:50Speaker 3: do this. Here is your next item of forbids. It
- 56:52Speaker 3: is this signed, limited limited edition Monty Python print, a
- 56:58Speaker 3: true fine art piece. This forty four inch by twenty
- 57:01Speaker 3: inch on canvas artist proof is signed by the artist
- 57:06Speaker 3: Alex Ross and features all of the actors in various
- 57:09Speaker 3: characters and images, including the classic Foot and it can
- 57:14Speaker 3: be yours if the cost is correct. We start with
- 57:17Speaker 3: Crunchy yet again.
- 57:20Speaker 6: It's just it's the proof and it's just signed by
- 57:25Speaker 6: the artist.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Jah correct, not signed by any Monty Python.
- 57:31Speaker 5: Now that's what I'm thinking.
- 57:33Speaker 3: Lower.
- 57:33Speaker 5: So let's say to fifty two.
- 57:36Speaker 3: Hundred and fifty dollars.
- 57:37Speaker 9: Aggie, hmmmmmm, seven fifty seven fifty.
- 57:44Speaker 3: I will call for final bids. Balls, Crunchy, you bid
- 57:49Speaker 3: two fifty the high bid is seven fifty.
- 57:53Speaker 6: I don't think it's more than seven point fifty. I'll
- 57:56Speaker 6: say through four fifty.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Okay, because you did overbid you you are still allowed
- 58:04Speaker 3: to bid yet again after this, Stevie.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Four seventy five, four seventy five.
- 58:14Speaker 3: Okay, he almost, he's almost forcing you to bid again. Crunch,
- 58:19Speaker 3: this is your this is your last chance. Do you
- 58:21Speaker 3: do you want to bid over seven fifty or do
- 58:24Speaker 3: you want to stick?
- 58:32Speaker 11: God?
- 58:33Speaker 6: Yes, you're going to make me go five hundred. I'll
- 58:38Speaker 6: do five hundred and that's it.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Okay, five hundred. Augie, you're on seven fifty. Do you
- 58:43Speaker 3: want to overbiddor stick?
- 58:44Speaker 4: M overbid?
- 58:45Speaker 3: My bid hurt? I'll stick, you'll stick, okay, all right.
- 58:49Speaker 3: The actual final sale price of this item eight hundred
- 58:55Speaker 3: and ninety five dollars. Augie wins.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Wow, we thought you went over?
- 59:00Speaker 4: So did I?
- 59:01Speaker 3: He went? He slid just under?
- 59:03Speaker 1: Wow?
- 59:05Speaker 3: Yeah, could could didn't. It's all. It's all good. So
- 59:10Speaker 3: here's the bad news. The best crunch he can do
- 59:14Speaker 3: is tie, but he has to win both of these.
- 59:17Speaker 3: So our next or fourth item up forbids is this
- 59:21Speaker 3: iconic British phone booth. This replica of a K six
- 59:25Speaker 3: model vintage red phone booth is made of aluminum and
- 59:29Speaker 3: will not rust, and that also makes it light so
- 59:32Speaker 3: it can be moved by Dolly. The original phone booths
- 59:35Speaker 3: were two thousand pounds and had to be moved by crane.
- 59:39Speaker 3: And this listing can be yours if the cost is correct.
- 59:44Speaker 1: The people stealing phone boots and we're good.
- 59:48Speaker 3: How we're gonna start with crunchy yet again?
- 59:52Speaker 5: I have two questions about this listing.
- 59:54Speaker 3: Okay, answer no.
- 59:56Speaker 6: I have one question about the listing, But the other
- 59:57Speaker 6: point I want to make it is I prefer to
- 59:59Speaker 6: be tied anyway, if you know what I mean.
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: Question about the listening. This is genuinely British. Is the
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: floor covered in piss?
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Oh it can be for a minor fee traditional charge,
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: but it's not included in the cast.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: So because there is no British field, there was no
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: British phone box that hasn't got a fucking puddler piss.
