- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back into the show.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Today we're going to be diving into Helium, give you
- 0:02Speaker 2: guys a project update and why this may be an
- 0:05Speaker 2: under valued token.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Don't miss it. My name is Paul Baron. Welcome back in.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Let's get in and start of course with our sponsor
- 0:13Speaker 2: today and that's I Trust Capital. This is where you
- 0:14Speaker 2: guys can go to set up your own CRYPTOIRA, and.
- 0:17Speaker 1: It's very easy to do.
- 0:19Speaker 2: One of the cool things about I Trust is you
- 0:21Speaker 2: can manage all of this yourself.
- 0:24Speaker 1: You get to do it in your IRA.
- 0:26Speaker 2: If you already have an IRA, you can actually transfer
- 0:28Speaker 2: one into I Trust.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Is pretty simple to do.
- 0:31Speaker 2: And of course you can get into all sorts of assets, Bitcoin, ethereum,
- 0:34Speaker 2: a lot of all coins including gold and silver, so
- 0:36Speaker 2: it's all available over there. All you have to do
- 0:39Speaker 2: is use our link and get a one hundred dollars
- 0:41Speaker 2: funding reward to get started. Always consult your tax advisor
- 0:44Speaker 2: and if it's a good position for you, but diversification
- 0:47Speaker 2: good things. Going forward, I want to bring in a
- 0:50Speaker 2: gentleman who's been with us before, and that is Abbe
- 0:53Speaker 2: Kumar who is now coming in as head of Protocol
- 0:56Speaker 2: at Helium. So congrats on the title change.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Thanks thanks for having me again.
- 1:02Speaker 2: So let's get into a few things. I want to
- 1:04Speaker 2: just showcase the potential of what we're seeing in terms
- 1:07Speaker 2: of activity. Helium continue to skyrocket here on Dooing Analytics
- 1:11Speaker 2: in terms of usage, which has been a good thing.
- 1:14Speaker 1: This is another issue that we've talked about before.
- 1:17Speaker 2: It's I would say Helium has become the deep in
- 1:20Speaker 2: to watch in general. And I think this is something
- 1:23Speaker 2: that a lot of people are kind of looking at today.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Why do you think we're seeing so much growth right now?
- 1:30Speaker 2: Are there any catalysts that you could give us?
- 1:33Speaker 4: I mean, I think it's very simple. It's there are
- 1:36Speaker 4: folks in our community that are deploying hotspots, and those
- 1:39Speaker 4: hotspots are actually in useful locations, right.
- 1:42Speaker 3: These are cell phones that.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Are connecting to these hotspots they you know, because they
- 1:47Speaker 4: are effectively just many cell towers, right.
- 1:50Speaker 3: And then we have this sort.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Of sort of relationship with H and T and with
- 1:54Speaker 4: with other minos and mbnos where their subscribers are also
- 1:58Speaker 4: using these these hotspots. So I'll give you a really
- 2:01Speaker 4: practical example. If you're in New York and you come
- 2:03Speaker 4: out of the subway, there are these like silver terminals
- 2:06Speaker 4: that have like add roles running on them. They also
- 2:09Speaker 4: happen to be Helium hotspots and you're automatically connect to them.
- 2:13Speaker 4: And that's that's a great example of a of an
- 2:16Speaker 4: existing piece of infrastructure that's been converted to support Helium.
- 2:21Speaker 4: But then we also have folks that are going into
- 2:24Speaker 4: coffee shops, hair salons, uh, you know, all sorts of
- 2:27Speaker 4: sort of businesses that have a lot of people sitting
- 2:30Speaker 4: around and using them using bandwidth. And you know, folks,
- 2:35Speaker 4: you know, boots on the ground deployers are putting in
- 2:37Speaker 4: hotspots there and providing useful coverage for this network. And
- 2:42Speaker 4: even those you know, you don't necessarily have to be
- 2:45Speaker 4: a Helium a little subscriber to use these hotspots. If
- 2:49Speaker 4: you're as I mentioned, at and T subscriber, your phone
- 2:51Speaker 4: will just automatically connect and you have no idea that
- 2:53Speaker 4: you're using a crypto enabled network.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Wow, that's crazy. Are you guys deploying in any airports yet?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Have you seen any airport airport deployment?
- 3:03Speaker 4: You know, there was one a few months ago and
- 3:08Speaker 4: I'm forgetting where it was, But there's another one coming up,
- 3:11Speaker 4: and you should hear something new soon.
- 3:12Speaker 2: It's okay largest, Oh that's good. Good, Well, I'm looking
- 3:17Speaker 2: at the mobile numbers. This is kind of how we
- 3:20Speaker 2: track Helium is obviously with AGENC and mobile now being
- 3:24Speaker 2: one token, which is I think another reason why we're
- 3:26Speaker 2: going to see more activity on it. But I mean,
- 3:28Speaker 2: the it's skyrocketing, so this is a big deal. I
- 3:32Speaker 2: think for sure, what would be the next big level
- 3:35Speaker 2: of achievement. I mean, you guys, what are you hovering
- 3:38Speaker 2: over three hundred to four hundred k? Now in terms
- 3:41Speaker 2: of total subscribers, let me kind of go to the
- 3:43Speaker 2: top right there. Yeah, I'm almost three sixty five. Where
- 3:46Speaker 2: do you think the top is, at least in the
- 3:48Speaker 2: near term.
- 3:50Speaker 4: These Yeah, so these are subscribers who've signed up for
- 3:54Speaker 4: the Helium mobile service right to be explicit, and these
- 3:57Speaker 4: are of the on chain representations of the and these
- 4:00Speaker 4: are the NFTs that created when they sign up, and
- 4:03Speaker 4: so the different drivers of that graph, you know, Number one,
- 4:07Speaker 4: you know, we launched obviously, two, we created the free
- 4:12Speaker 4: plan and that sort of reorganized the way that we
- 4:16Speaker 4: sort of went to market and we sort of enabled
- 4:19Speaker 4: these three tiers of plans. And then you know, more recently,
- 4:23Speaker 4: we we've been doing a lot around supporting more groups
- 4:26Speaker 4: and more families. So we have the kids plan that
- 4:28Speaker 4: was launched, and then you know, really enabling more group
- 4:33Speaker 4: plan activity, you know, managing your group plans, having lots
- 4:37Speaker 4: of you know, maybe you have your yourself, your spouse
- 4:40Speaker 4: and your kids, and maybe you know other family members altogether.
- 4:43Speaker 4: And these are all different kinds of features that are
- 4:46Speaker 4: kind of expected by the mass market, our audience. Ultimately,
- 4:50Speaker 4: Healium Mobile is is a you know, consumer product. It
- 4:54Speaker 4: has you know, from the front end, no one really
- 4:56Speaker 4: knows that it has anything to do with crypto either.
- 4:58Speaker 4: It does need crypto. Obviously the business is enabled by crypto,
- 5:03Speaker 4: but for the average consumer, they're not really thinking about that.
- 5:05Speaker 4: And so every time we sort of produce a feature
- 5:09Speaker 4: or launch a network improvement that enables more average consumers
- 5:14Speaker 4: to use it, that number continues to go up.
- 5:15Speaker 3: So, yeah, I'd like to see half million this year.
- 5:18Speaker 4: That's absolutely one of our goals on just on the
- 5:22Speaker 4: Healium Mobile subscribers side.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Let's talk about the having because that occurred August. First.
- 5:28Speaker 2: A lot of things going on, a lot of changes
- 5:30Speaker 2: in how things are done, including network governance, all that
- 5:33Speaker 2: good stuff.
- 5:34Speaker 1: What would be the.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Top things if you're tracking helium and H and T
- 5:38Speaker 2: the token understanding that what are the key things that
- 5:42Speaker 2: you feel are important.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Yeah, So the having was established of this having the
- 5:47Speaker 4: schedule is established back in twenty twenty. So this this
- 5:51Speaker 4: HIP twenty that was proposed and approved by the community.
- 5:55Speaker 4: It established the max supply. And the way that the
- 5:57Speaker 4: max supply happens is via the periodic happening every two years.
- 6:03Speaker 4: The amount of H and T that's emitted on a daily.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Basis gets you know, halved.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yeah, the way to think about this, you know, start
- 6:10Speaker 4: So we just started year seven on August August first,
- 6:13Speaker 4: this year of the network, and so now we have
- 6:16Speaker 4: seven and a half million H and being admitted every year,
- 6:19Speaker 4: so you know, about twenty and a half k a day.
- 6:22Speaker 4: And so that's that's the sort of at the top level,
- 6:25Speaker 4: what has changed. And this is sort of established back
- 6:28Speaker 4: in twenty twenty, and we're effectively it's it's almost kind
- 6:31Speaker 4: of a non event from a protocol perspective because it
- 6:35Speaker 4: was already you know preset.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Well, I think from the protocol, yes, but there are
- 6:41Speaker 2: effects on the people who are out there holding these
- 6:44Speaker 2: because they get you know.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Less rewards.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Does this also affect mobile rewards as well.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Yeah, So the other thing that matters to you know,
- 6:56Speaker 4: as you mentioned, the thing that matters to hotspot owners
- 6:58Speaker 4: is that, you know, folks who are deploying coverage have
- 7:01Speaker 4: less of a total agency pigh to to get around
- 7:05Speaker 4: a daily basis. The one thing that's important is data
- 7:09Speaker 4: transfer is still really really on the amount of data, right,
- 7:13Speaker 4: So if you were transferring you know, let's say five
- 7:17Speaker 4: gigabytes of data per day and that was paid, you know,
- 7:20Speaker 4: five gigabytes paid, you're still getting paid for five.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Bigabytes of data. That's okay, sorry, fifty cents a gigabyte.
- 7:26Speaker 4: And so that that part doesn't change. The parts that
- 7:28Speaker 4: do change, however, are things like proof of coverage. This
- 7:31Speaker 4: is the boothstrut, right, And so for some folks that
- 7:34Speaker 4: are in deployed locations that don't have a lot of
- 7:37Speaker 4: data transfer, the rewards did change, right, And so that's
- 7:40Speaker 4: absolutely important to not.
- 7:42Speaker 2: There well, And I think this is what's good I
- 7:46Speaker 2: think in general because it just creates more value in
- 7:48Speaker 2: the network itself. I want to jump over to Helium plus.
- 7:54Speaker 2: What is this What are you guys trying to do
- 7:57Speaker 2: on Helium Plus.
- 8:00Speaker 4: So Helium Plus is sort of a formalization of the
- 8:04Speaker 4: sort of bring your own device kind of expansion for
- 8:09Speaker 4: for for Helium. So you know, there are a lot
- 8:12Speaker 4: of folks that you know, want to be able to
- 8:13Speaker 4: install Healium hotspots. You know, they'll go and buy the
- 8:16Speaker 4: hardware and do that, right, But there are even more
- 8:20Speaker 4: folks that already have deployed hardware. Right, And so you
- 8:23Speaker 4: mentioned airports earlier. The airports already have some kind of
- 8:27Speaker 4: Wi Fi hardware in there. What if with just a
- 8:30Speaker 4: software change, you can enable Helium you know, same as
- 8:33Speaker 4: Lincoln y C in New York. They just did a
- 8:35Speaker 4: software change to enable Helium on every one of those terminals.
- 8:39Speaker 4: And so that's that is what Helium plus is. It's
- 8:41Speaker 4: sort of a formalization of bring your own device. So
- 8:44Speaker 4: if you have a Ubiquity router or a you know,
- 8:48Speaker 4: Cisco router or any of these sort of either like
- 8:53Speaker 4: an enterprise grade Wi Fi hardware, you can enable Helium
- 8:57Speaker 4: Plus with a software change and often know not even
- 9:00Speaker 4: you don't even need to go on site for these things.
- 9:02Speaker 3: These are often cloud managed.
- 9:04Speaker 4: So like in my house, I have Ubiquity from my
- 9:07Speaker 4: from my WiFi ips and I can do that you
- 9:10Speaker 4: know from my from my Ubiquity UI.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Which is uh, okay, well that's a that's a nice feature.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And I think, you know, I think a lot of
- 9:19Speaker 2: people don't really completely understand the whole ecosystem because you've
- 9:23Speaker 2: got mobile, then you have the IoT side of it.
- 9:26Speaker 2: This is just a good example on overall world dot Helium.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Uh the kind of tracks.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But the key here is you're looking at a lot
- 9:34Speaker 2: of carrier offload in terms of growth here. How does
- 9:38Speaker 2: that affect the IoT side of things? When you look
- 9:41Speaker 2: at the growth we've seen in the mobile side, does
- 9:44Speaker 2: it open up to where people are maybe more aware
- 9:46Speaker 2: of what's going on on the IoT side.
- 9:49Speaker 4: What we've noticed is, you know, in general, people are
- 9:52Speaker 4: more aware of Helium as a network and sort of
- 9:55Speaker 4: explore and understand there's two sides of network. The IoT
- 9:58Speaker 4: network is you know, really great for certain use cases
- 10:01Speaker 4: like package tracking and and UH and water leak detection
- 10:05Speaker 4: and things like that.
- 10:05Speaker 3: And we're seeing you know, really great.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Usage there, but it is sort of a very it's
- 10:13Speaker 4: a small network from a from a revenue perspective, whereas
- 10:17Speaker 4: a lot of the revenue seems to be coming at
- 10:20Speaker 4: this point, is coming from the mobile moule, through through
- 10:23Speaker 4: the through the offload partnerships that we have, and so
- 10:26Speaker 4: you know, we are we're excited about the sort of
- 10:29Speaker 4: ubiquitousness of the IoT network and I think you know
- 10:32Speaker 4: it takes uh it's it was a brand new protocol
- 10:35Speaker 4: to a lot of these device manufacturers, although the LOREN
- 10:38Speaker 4: has been around for a little while.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so the sort of.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Process of converting your hardware to supporting this kind of
- 10:44Speaker 4: network in your devices, you have to sort of go
- 10:48Speaker 4: through that full hardware cycle, and we're starting to see
- 10:50Speaker 4: that with with a few products, which is great. On
- 10:52Speaker 4: the other hand, on the mobile side, it's just a.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Phone and everyone has a phone that happens on it.
- 10:58Speaker 4: These technologies are are sort of they are already and
- 11:01Speaker 4: the demand is already there, and so that's kind of
- 11:03Speaker 4: I believe that's why we're seeing this this sort of
- 11:05Speaker 4: explosion of growth because the demand is there.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we should probably do an episode on on just
- 11:11Speaker 2: the mobile process. Because the e SIM technology that you
- 11:14Speaker 2: guys utilize is very one, I think, very advanced. I
- 11:18Speaker 2: love the family plan programs that you offer, so I
- 11:21Speaker 2: think that's one of the reasons, but it's still not
- 11:23Speaker 2: known to the average user because I often will tell
- 11:27Speaker 2: people have you ever tried you know, helium?
- 11:29Speaker 1: And many people are just like, Hey, I don't know
- 11:31Speaker 1: about it. You know what's that? Is that a new
- 11:33Speaker 1: you know it? You know, so that needs to be done.
- 11:35Speaker 1: We got to fix that. What about coolest use case?
- 11:39Speaker 2: When you look at all the use cases that are
- 11:41Speaker 2: being done, whether it's IoT or you know, some of
- 11:43Speaker 2: the new tools that you guys are building, is there
- 11:46Speaker 2: anything that's kind of surprising you that's kind of like
- 11:48Speaker 2: who yeah?
- 11:51Speaker 4: On the IoT side, I think some of the environment
- 11:54Speaker 4: sensing use cases I think are the most interesting, everything
- 11:58Speaker 4: from you know, temperature tracking and you know tracking. I
- 12:03Speaker 4: think a really really cool use case that I saw
- 12:05Speaker 4: last year was there's a company that's tracking endangered lynxes
- 12:10Speaker 4: in the Iberian Peninsula and redirecting that data back to
- 12:16Speaker 4: ways and pushing alerts into ways as you're as you're driving,
- 12:19Speaker 4: so now you know if you're driving. A big issue
- 12:22Speaker 4: that they're having is or that you know, for this
- 12:24Speaker 4: particular population of animals is cars are just hitting them.
- 12:27Speaker 3: You know, this is uh, this is in.
- 12:30Speaker 4: The US, we have this problem with deer right, but
- 12:32Speaker 4: deer plentiful. They're literally everywhere. They do a lot of
- 12:35Speaker 4: damage to cars. On the other hand, in Spain, like
- 12:38Speaker 4: you have lynkses that you know, people just plow through unfortunately,
- 12:42Speaker 4: and and you know that's sort of affecting their their population, right.
- 12:46Speaker 4: But I thought that was really really cool and very
- 12:49Speaker 4: very practical use case.
- 12:51Speaker 3: That's you know, you can't be mad at, to.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Be honest, it's like a perfect it's like a perfect
- 12:56Speaker 4: kind of thing that's good use and and so that's
- 13:00Speaker 4: on the IoT side. On the mobile side, I think,
- 13:03Speaker 4: you know, enabling carrier offload for you know, AT and T,
- 13:06Speaker 4: the one of the largest carriers here in the US,
- 13:08Speaker 4: I think that is the use case right. Enabling the
- 13:11Speaker 4: same kind of thing in Mexico. As we continue to
- 13:14Speaker 4: expand there is the sort of next big use case
- 13:17Speaker 4: and and I'd love to see that in more countries.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Well, listen, you guys had another big win here. You're
- 13:23Speaker 2: tech providing merching emergency sale service during Hurricane Lean. So
- 13:28Speaker 2: that was paired up with starlink. That's kind of seems
- 13:32Speaker 2: like a match made in heaven. I think there was
- 13:34Speaker 2: a couple of points on here. This was surprised me
- 13:37Speaker 2: that twenty percent of sales sites were affected because this
- 13:40Speaker 2: is happening all the time. And then you guys, I
- 13:42Speaker 2: think this happened you you even stated this within forty
- 13:45Speaker 2: eight hours, you guys had a prototype on how to
- 13:48Speaker 2: use this.
- 13:48Speaker 1: So that's fast man. It helped.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it helps that this was effectively my my camping kit.
- 13:57Speaker 3: This is actually my personal campaign.
- 13:59Speaker 4: So essentially what I have is a Starlink Mini, a battery,
- 14:04Speaker 4: a solar cecle, and helium mobile hotspot.
- 14:08Speaker 3: And it's it's not packaged, right, it's by year. It is. Uh,
- 14:12Speaker 3: it is me kind of jerry rigging stuff together.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm going to try that. I'm going to try that.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm I'm a big Starlink user.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Well as a well.
- 14:21Speaker 4: It's cool about it is that everything fits in a
- 14:23Speaker 4: fast pack and so like it's really really portable for me,
- 14:28Speaker 4: and you know, very rarely do I ever take it out.
- 14:30Speaker 3: It's usually just in the in the car. Yeah, because
- 14:33Speaker 3: like one of.
- 14:34Speaker 4: The goals of camping is to not be connected. But
- 14:36Speaker 4: the fact that it's available that you can run back
- 14:38Speaker 4: to the car and you can set this up in minutes.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Uh, I think it's pretty great and so uh so.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeah, So we worked with with a nonprofit that was
- 14:48Speaker 4: able to get on the ground and actually deploy these things.
- 14:51Speaker 4: What they ended up doing, which I thought was really great,
- 14:54Speaker 4: was they took those four f one fifties that already
- 14:56Speaker 4: have you know, sort of an inverter a generator on them.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah, the our cyber truck same way.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, because you could just plug right into it and
- 15:03Speaker 2: you've got a you know, big o' huge generator battery
- 15:07Speaker 2: pack for.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Sure, exactly exactly.
- 15:09Speaker 4: And so being able to do that very quickly, you know,
- 15:12Speaker 4: they were able to get into North Carolina very very
- 15:16Speaker 4: quickly and and and start to deploy coverage. The other
- 15:19Speaker 4: great thing about this, you know, this particular feature because
- 15:22Speaker 4: of that AT and T relationship that we have, Because
- 15:24Speaker 4: we have these relationships with other mb and o's, the
- 15:27Speaker 4: users on the ground don't need to sign.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Up for Healium Mobile to use this thing. I think
- 15:31Speaker 3: that is really really crucial.
- 15:33Speaker 4: It's not like a special protocol, it's not like another
- 15:36Speaker 4: kind of radio, it's not. It's just it's it's their
- 15:40Speaker 4: phone just authenticates automatically. And that is I think true,
- 15:44Speaker 4: like user experience unlock that that makes this a good product.
- 15:48Speaker 2: No doubt, and why not make a product? Why not
- 15:51Speaker 2: make that a bundle, a product that you could sell.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, I'm sure in every municipality out
- 15:56Speaker 2: there would probably want something like this.
- 15:58Speaker 4: You know, we we actually so I spend some time
- 16:02Speaker 4: in d C to help on the sort of government
- 16:05Speaker 4: relations and lobbying sets. I'm I'm the technical, the guy
- 16:08Speaker 4: that shows up.
- 16:08Speaker 3: For these things.
- 16:10Speaker 4: And this is something that we've actually talked to the
- 16:12Speaker 4: the the FCC UH and sorry, the nt I A
- 16:16Speaker 4: about specifically. And so you know, this agency cares very
- 16:20Speaker 4: deeply in commerce in general, cares very deeply about providing
- 16:24Speaker 4: connectivity in these kinds of situations. And so we've had
- 16:27Speaker 4: this conversation like what does this package look like, what
- 16:30Speaker 4: you know that could be rapidly deployed and how can
- 16:32Speaker 4: we enable municipalities to do this in times of need?
- 16:37Speaker 4: And and so we're seeing some traction here. Obviously it's
- 16:41Speaker 4: not a it's not a core product for us, but
- 16:43Speaker 4: we'd love to make it like kind of less haphazard
- 16:46Speaker 4: as my my campaign.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Well, but I will tell you if if you deploy
- 16:51Speaker 2: something like that, these are they're not designed for profit.
- 16:55Speaker 2: These are designed for just community, you know benefit And
- 16:59Speaker 2: I think when you do something like that, man, the
- 17:03Speaker 2: just the goodwill that that generates on the brand is
- 17:07Speaker 2: probably you could not track it in marketing out there,
- 17:10Speaker 2: So that would be huge because you get into cities
- 17:13Speaker 2: and areas where they've been hard hit. Believe me, you
- 17:16Speaker 2: probably will win tens of thousands of customers very quickly
- 17:21Speaker 2: after all those things are settled down just because of
- 17:23Speaker 2: what you did.
- 17:24Speaker 1: So kudos to you. Guys.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Hey, listen, I've got a clip here I want to
- 17:28Speaker 2: play for you. I'm gonna this is my campaign to
- 17:31Speaker 2: Helium that I've done before.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna play it for you and take a look.
- 17:35Speaker 2: All right, earning cloud points versus earning H and T
- 17:40Speaker 2: being able to switch between the two, you need a button.
- 17:43Speaker 1: We wanted it to be the PBN button where you
- 17:45Speaker 1: just say cloud points are H and T, cloud points
- 17:48Speaker 1: are agent T. Are you going to make that a toggle?
- 17:50Speaker 1: We don't know if that person likes crypto or understands crypto.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Certainly, I think we got to consider the toggle button.
- 17:57Speaker 2: We've got to make it available cloud to crypto, Cloud
- 18:00Speaker 2: to crypto. What about like v bucks swapping, you know,
- 18:03Speaker 2: swap it for a Starbucks.
- 18:04Speaker 1: You know kind of thing right now.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Old in the oldest things are in the pipeline that
- 18:09Speaker 3: you know, I could comment toggle comment toggle Now we're
- 18:13Speaker 3: going to drive.
- 18:13Speaker 1: This because all right, that's my that was my sales pitch.
- 18:19Speaker 2: That's my sales pitch to get to get H and
- 18:22Speaker 2: T or cloud points.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I want my hn T, man, I want my H
- 18:25Speaker 1: and T.
- 18:26Speaker 2: And then you guys go out and you rug pull
- 18:29Speaker 2: me and give points to Starbucks.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Wow, I didn't realize I was going to get cornered.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I love it.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I'm a fan of the cornering. I mean, that's this
- 18:41Speaker 4: is cool. Like on the on the healing mobile side,
- 18:43Speaker 4: we found that the cloud points product actually, you know,
- 18:47Speaker 4: resonated more with the average consumer, although like you know,
- 18:49Speaker 4: you and I are are definitely more for sure the
- 18:52Speaker 4: a for sure, but I think I think that's that's
- 18:55Speaker 4: Ultimately it was the product decision.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I'm not obviously not the best to speak to. Yeah, no,
- 18:59Speaker 3: I understand, get those folks on here.
- 19:02Speaker 2: But Frank, I know you're watching right now. Frank is
- 19:05Speaker 2: watching right now. Toggle toggle button. We need we need
- 19:09Speaker 2: the toggle button.
- 19:11Speaker 4: I have a question for you that we add the
- 19:13Speaker 4: toggle on the on the deployer side. Should a deployer
- 19:16Speaker 4: be able to choose cloud points instead of agency No,
- 19:22Speaker 4: I knew that was going to get you.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I knew that was going to get you.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna say no, So anyway is what I use say.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Anyway, Let's get into a couple other things. Uh, listen,
- 19:34Speaker 2: the Seeker is shipping. Now, that's the big Salona phone
- 19:36Speaker 2: out there, and of course we're probably going to see
- 19:39Speaker 2: some activations. Do you think you'll pick up activations here?
- 19:42Speaker 2: I mean, you get one hundred and fifty thousand phones
- 19:44Speaker 2: hitting the market pretty quick.
- 19:46Speaker 1: There need phone.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Numbers, absolutely, and we're working with UH. And this is
- 19:51Speaker 4: something the Healing Mobile folks are working on as well.
- 19:54Speaker 4: They're working with the Secret team. The Salon allows team
- 19:58Speaker 4: to actually enable anyone to be able to use Healing
- 20:02Speaker 4: Mobile natively.
- 20:03Speaker 3: In the app.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I'm not sure if this is super public yet, but
- 20:08Speaker 4: it's okay. But there will be a native Healing Mobile
- 20:11Speaker 4: app for the on the Saga Secret and so you'll
- 20:15Speaker 4: be able to, you know, just download the app and
- 20:18Speaker 4: activate your Healing Mobile subscription.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I like it. That'll be fast.
- 20:22Speaker 3: There's smeleful for you.
- 20:24Speaker 1: They're okay, we like it. I'm waiting on the seekers.
- 20:26Speaker 2: We're seeing them starting to trickle through on delivery right
- 20:29Speaker 2: now too.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I haven't gotten mind yet.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm definitely fomo for sure. Listen, there's a weather exem
- 20:36Speaker 2: I anticipate we're going to see a lot of DAPs
- 20:38Speaker 2: coming in on this. There's I mean, there's rumors now
- 20:40Speaker 2: that there's a lot of very cool tools that will.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Come in on this.
- 20:44Speaker 2: So I think the the interesting point I see more
- 20:47Speaker 2: people talking about is carrying second phones, family phones, you know,
- 20:52Speaker 2: just for the purpose of getting access to these DAPs.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Do you think that's going to be an ecosystem that
- 20:57Speaker 2: will start to grow? In other words, people designing to
- 20:59Speaker 2: have more than one phone.
- 21:02Speaker 4: You know, the two phones are hard, right, Like if
- 21:05Speaker 4: I think about the way, like, and this is entirely selfish,
- 21:08Speaker 4: but like, you know, I've got two pockets. One pocket
- 21:11Speaker 4: that's my wallet. My other bucket usually has my phone.
- 21:14Speaker 4: So two phones might be hard for me to be
- 21:17Speaker 4: to be very sort of direct about it. But you know,
- 21:20Speaker 4: I think that having access to this this other phone,
- 21:24Speaker 4: the secret device. You know, I think Android has gotten
- 21:28Speaker 4: significantly better. I'm an iOS user, but over the years,
- 21:32Speaker 4: it's it's continues to get significantly better. I think more
- 21:35Speaker 4: kind of native experiences on Android will make the ecosystem better.
- 21:40Speaker 4: And having you know, the Healing mobile app being native
- 21:43Speaker 4: having whether it's I'm being native having I know geode
- 21:47Speaker 4: Net's also working on a on a on adapt for
- 21:49Speaker 4: for the seeker as well. Having all these things to
- 21:52Speaker 4: be kind of native to the device, Uh makes it
- 21:56Speaker 4: way more compelling to make it rather than a secondary
- 21:58Speaker 4: phone actually to be my daily driver.
- 22:00Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Well, I think that's the key is is as we
- 22:03Speaker 2: see more dapts rolling out and the functionality, especially for
- 22:06Speaker 2: the cryptonative people that are out there right now listening
- 22:09Speaker 2: to our show, and I think for people that are
- 22:11Speaker 2: maybe wanting to get more cryptonative. The problem is is
- 22:14Speaker 2: the hurdles you have to go to get it into
- 22:16Speaker 2: the traditional systems is just really hard.
- 22:19Speaker 1: So that's a big deal. Let's jump over to gaming.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Just a quick note here, gaming hand helds, the potential
- 22:26Speaker 2: for them tech getting better and better. Now, the potential
- 22:31Speaker 2: that maybe gaming hand helds could utilize something like a
- 22:35Speaker 2: helium network to have full wireless gaming all the time.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Do you think that could be a thing?
- 22:42Speaker 4: You know, one of the things that we are working
- 22:45Speaker 4: with other projects, is how do you sort ofven bad
- 22:50Speaker 4: e sms or physical sims into the device so you know,
- 22:54Speaker 4: you don't have to think about connectivity for these devices
- 22:57Speaker 4: now many years ago when this is my datmil little bit,
- 23:00Speaker 4: but the Kindle came with something called whisper net and
- 23:03Speaker 4: you were always connected. You effectively had connectivity forever. And
- 23:08Speaker 4: you know those are those are really great devices because
- 23:11Speaker 4: you're sort of for the consumer perspective, I'm willing to
- 23:13Speaker 4: pay a little bit more money to make sure that
- 23:16Speaker 4: I have connectivity, you know, quote unquote forever. It's a
- 23:19Speaker 4: little harder for something that is a high bendwidth application
- 23:22Speaker 4: like that costs changes over time, but I think it's
- 23:25Speaker 4: still something that's doable at the very least, Like, you know,
- 23:29Speaker 4: let me pay for one year of service at a time,
- 23:32Speaker 4: because I know roughly know how much it's going to
- 23:34Speaker 4: be used.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Are you seeing you know, because a lot of devices,
- 23:38Speaker 2: tablet devices, even laptops now coming with connectivity which is
- 23:42Speaker 2: built in the sims and or you know, a hardware sim.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Uh do you think that is a growing category? Do
- 23:48Speaker 2: you think the mobile category is just taking a lot
- 23:51Speaker 2: of that air out of the system right now.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I mean, I think you'll always have this kind of
- 23:57Speaker 4: tense struggle between and we'll use Apple as an example.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Apple wants your iPhone to be your gaming device, right
- 24:06Speaker 4: they really do, you know, at least at least on
- 24:08Speaker 4: the go, But they'll always I don't think the games, like,
- 24:13Speaker 4: certainly the Triple A games won't be as good on
- 24:15Speaker 4: Apple as it will be on my switch to or
- 24:18Speaker 4: I have a switch one, but like it won't be
- 24:20Speaker 4: as good as on my switch, right, and so I
- 24:23Speaker 4: think that uh, you know, getting connectivity to the switch,
- 24:27Speaker 4: you know today Wi Fi connectivity on it. I'm not
- 24:30Speaker 4: sure about the switch too, I don't but I don't
- 24:32Speaker 4: think it has any cellular.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Connectivity not think yeah, And I think.
- 24:36Speaker 4: I think we'll see more dedicated you know, connect connectivity
- 24:40Speaker 4: options for these game devices. People are on the go,
- 24:43Speaker 4: and you know, I've heard the switch is way larger
- 24:46Speaker 4: than the than the first switch, so it'd be tough
- 24:50Speaker 4: to walk around with it. But but people want to
- 24:52Speaker 4: be able to access these things on the go.
- 24:54Speaker 1: We're showing the playtron there on screen right now. This
- 24:57Speaker 1: is one of the sweet devices.
- 24:58Speaker 2: But you know, you also have a pretty big ecosystem
- 25:02Speaker 2: around steam Deck two that does have that capability, which
- 25:06Speaker 2: is kind of an interesting component. Hey, there was one
- 25:09Speaker 2: tweet that you put out right there. I'd love to
- 25:13Speaker 2: have H and T in my four oh one K.
- 25:15Speaker 2: So there you go, Robinhood. If you're listening, Vlad, I.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Know you are. You watch our show every day. Vlad
- 25:20Speaker 1: watches this show. I don't know if you knew that
- 25:22Speaker 1: he's you know, he d so Vlad, you're watching. We
- 25:26Speaker 1: need to get H and T on Robinhood.
- 25:28Speaker 2: This is the deep in I think to put on Robinhood,
- 25:32Speaker 2: and then of course it makes its way into all
- 25:33Speaker 2: other things. You know, what what do you think of
- 25:35Speaker 2: a take to get Robin Hood listing?
- 25:38Speaker 3: They can reach out more than that. It's so easy.
- 25:42Speaker 1: There you go.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I mean I already I already have H and T
- 25:44Speaker 3: in my IRA A.
- 25:46Speaker 4: I use an IRA platform that lets me you know.
- 25:48Speaker 1: There you go, And so we had.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Why not? Why not for my four one K? Right?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go?
- 25:56Speaker 3: For sure.
- 25:57Speaker 4: The you know, our current administration is sort of pushing
- 26:01Speaker 4: the industry as a whole, like all industries, to support
- 26:05Speaker 4: crypto more. And you know, this week's EO I think
- 26:08Speaker 4: sort of directed the agency as the Department of Labor
- 26:11Speaker 4: specifically to start evaluating this. But I think, you know,
- 26:15Speaker 4: robinhood is one of the more innovative platforms, especially in
- 26:18Speaker 4: the on the stocks and on investment side.
- 26:21Speaker 3: They're probably the.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Best at doing this, and so they should. They should
- 26:24Speaker 4: launch a crypto four.
- 26:25Speaker 3: One K for us.
- 26:27Speaker 2: They got to do it, man, all right, Well, we're
- 26:29Speaker 2: going to get out there and push Robinhood to try
- 26:31Speaker 2: to do some of those things. We're still waiting for
- 26:32Speaker 2: them to open their banking account because that I think
- 26:35Speaker 2: is going to change the game, you know, for a
- 26:37Speaker 2: lot of people to really transition over to maybe something
- 26:40Speaker 2: that's a little bit more active, especially on the crypto side,
- 26:42Speaker 2: because they're very consistent over there in terms of growth.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Listen to Bay.
- 26:47Speaker 2: It was great having you on today. Thank you so
- 26:49Speaker 2: much for coming back in. We appreciate it.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Thanks for having me again. That's always a pleasure to
- 26:53Speaker 4: talk to you.
- 26:54Speaker 2: All right, we'll see you soon, are you guys? If
- 26:56Speaker 2: you're not part of the Diamond Circle, you should be.
- 26:59Speaker 2: It is our own private group you guys can join,
- 27:02Speaker 2: and the way you can do it is click the
- 27:04Speaker 2: link down below. It's absolutely free and the way it
- 27:07Speaker 2: works is we send out an email usually once a week,
- 27:09Speaker 2: and it's update on additional research and stuff that I do.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Even in some cases I'll do a brief in there.
- 27:14Speaker 1: For our Diamond Circle members. So super easy.
- 27:18Speaker 2: And of course follow me on X at Paul Baron.
- 27:20Speaker 2: We'll catch you next time right here on The Paul
- 27:22Speaker 2: Baron Show.
