- 2:56Speaker 1: Oh damn, I think those are probably Are we forgetting
- 3:02Speaker 1: any any candidates? I think we're forgetting tape, ice cream, BBC,
- 3:07Speaker 1: no babe stuff. I mean people still wear that. That's
- 3:10Speaker 1: stuff because because you said in great worst, I didn't know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: I mean the worst, only talking about shitty shitty ones.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Oh ship, I think Soldier Boy shit was the worst.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yems Yeah, so we're gonna go. Yums is number one. Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: truck fit truck fit number two, number two, Well, truck fit.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I was a truck fit DJ, and so they would
- 3:29Speaker 1: pay me like five hundred dollars a month to like
- 3:33Speaker 1: I did, send me a box of clothes. Yeah, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: I would always take a picture holding the shirt up
- 3:39Speaker 1: and post it, never wearing it. Yeah, it was just
- 3:44Speaker 1: holding that one. And then all my homies were just
- 3:46Speaker 1: wear a truck fit because they didn't give a fuck.
- 3:47Speaker 1: But I'm like, yo, he's on record talking about sucking
- 3:50Speaker 1: dick for truck fit, Like, don't question how I got
- 3:53Speaker 1: my truck fit. So yeah, I'm good on this. Like
- 3:56Speaker 1: Wayne kind of shot himself in the foot, yeah, at
- 3:59Speaker 1: it just was hideous. Yeah, it was so truck fit.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg clothing and I love Snoop Yeah, dahg. Your
- 4:07Speaker 1: style was my second favorite album of all time, the
- 4:10Speaker 1: album that changed my life. Yeah, but Snoop Dogg clothing
- 4:13Speaker 1: was bad to you. It was really bad. Well what
- 4:17Speaker 1: about the ship in the nineties. I liked the summer,
- 4:18Speaker 1: the jerseys because my like my pops, he had a
- 4:20Speaker 1: few hockey jerseys, a no limit clothing, Oh shit, no
- 4:25Speaker 1: limit Master p Loki. You know if you had the
- 4:29Speaker 1: master PK kicks, you had the camouflage jersey, you was
- 4:32Speaker 1: one of you was one of them. Yeah, yeah, you
- 4:35Speaker 1: was that guy. So it's like it was good bad.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It was good bad. It was good bad. You think
- 4:40Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg clothing I always thought was like, man, a
- 4:43Speaker 1: fifty year old crip would love this shit. Me being
- 4:50Speaker 1: like a seventeen year old white kid, I'm like, I
- 4:52Speaker 1: don't know where I'm supposed to wear this shit. I
- 4:54Speaker 1: don't know what I'm supposed to do with this. Yeah. Yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I don't got no enemies, I don't got nobody to
- 4:58Speaker 1: bang on, so I'm not gonna wear this. I'm gonna
- 4:59Speaker 1: say the The The number three worst clothing line was Eminem's
- 5:02Speaker 1: clothesline though Shady lt D. Yeah, yeah, I will wear
- 5:06Speaker 1: some g units And like you said, Jun had some ship, yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you and clothing was away because it was like an
- 5:12Speaker 1: extension of Echo. Yeah, and then you remember Game had
- 5:17Speaker 1: Game has some ship too, didn't he Yeah, shoes, some shoes,
- 5:22Speaker 1: Oh it ain't clothes. And hurricanes yeah the hurricanes. Yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 1: that's the name of them. It's just hurricanes. But uh,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you said fat form or what else? No, I never
- 5:30Speaker 1: was a fat platform wave, Okay, fat form. I think
- 5:33Speaker 1: eminem ship was like if you were wearing that, like
- 5:36Speaker 1: you probably Drake Mountain dew and like your uncle who
- 5:42Speaker 1: were who wears a wife beater and smokes was at
- 5:44Speaker 1: home and a trailer. He may or may not have
- 5:46Speaker 1: molested you as a child. So you're like, you know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to Macy's and buy some fucking Shady LTD.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna buy it. I'm gonna steal it
- 5:54Speaker 1: because I can't afford it, because I want to dress
- 5:58Speaker 1: like Eminem. Oh okay, now the funck wakes up and says,
- 6:02Speaker 1: let me dress like Eminem, suburban, baggy sweatsuits, shady LTD
- 6:10Speaker 1: do rag that was white like yo, Like, yeah, remember
- 6:13Speaker 1: when it was wearing rags? Yeah? Bad, bad, very bad.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I bet your Eminem looks back on his fashion choices
- 6:20Speaker 1: and he's like, dude, what the fun was due drugs?
- 6:25Speaker 1: Those pills fucked up my judgment. Sorry, am I love you?
- 6:29Speaker 1: And then are we gonna do? Last Kings is the
- 6:31Speaker 1: fifth worst? Oh yeah, Last Kings was bad? You know.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Last Kings. I just never could come to the like
- 6:38Speaker 1: as a grown up in the world, like I'm gonna
- 6:40Speaker 1: wear Tiger's clothes. Yeah, but there was people wearing it. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 1: it was people wearing that ship. Like, I mean, niggas
- 6:46Speaker 1: has side effects. Niggas just wear the clothes and be
- 6:48Speaker 1: talking to the team like yeah, bro's all like going
- 6:50Speaker 1: to the mall, like just just just saying Tiger ship
- 6:53Speaker 1: when you wear the clothes. That's why I wouldn't wear it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So the top five worst, we're gonna go, yems, We're
- 6:59Speaker 1: gonna go truck fit. Truck fit eminem m Snoop Dogg clothing.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Oh gee, Snoop Dogg clothing. Yeah. Yeah, the older ship.
- 7:10Speaker 1: They should go to Burlington and it'd be there for
- 7:12Speaker 1: like eleven years, like the crypt suits. I like the
- 7:14Speaker 1: Jerseys though, and then and then Last Kings, the Last
- 7:18Speaker 1: Kings because at least I like Last Kings. I think
- 7:20Speaker 1: some people wore Last Kings. Yeah, some people did. Mynigga
- 7:24Speaker 1: trail King Trail he used to wear that ship for
- 7:26Speaker 1: cooling it, but I wouldn't wear it. Didn he owned it. Yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: oh so you had to okay, So neverma, you had
- 7:34Speaker 1: to okay. Yeah, he owned the clothing. I'll be fucking
- 7:38Speaker 1: warrit Jesus Christ. They had that story on Fairfax. Nobody
- 7:42Speaker 1: went to Oh my god, I damn. I would drive
- 7:47Speaker 1: by that bitch. I'd be like, yo, that tiger would
- 7:51Speaker 1: have to just pull up though, you know what I mean.
- 7:53Speaker 1: People would come, Yeah, niggas gonna slot shout out to
- 7:55Speaker 1: Tiger Man. Anyway, welcome to the show. For you to kwan, yes, sir,
- 7:59Speaker 1: for people who don't know who you are what you do, man,
- 8:03Speaker 1: give us a breakdown or basically, watch Homi Kwan. So
- 8:07Speaker 1: should I be looking at anything, just look at me.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Watch Homi Kwan, comedian from Wats, California. I do hood
- 8:14Speaker 1: type of comedy. I bring a sense of authentic goodness,
- 8:21Speaker 1: if that's even the word. I tell hood stories and
- 8:26Speaker 1: in an authentic way and provide people from the hood
- 8:30Speaker 1: opportunities to get a chance at being a part of
- 8:33Speaker 1: Hollywood and doing films and stuff. And you started as
- 8:35Speaker 1: an artist, right, yeah, I was doing music and stuff first,
- 8:38Speaker 1: So what you're you know, it's obviously a hard industry
- 8:42Speaker 1: to make it and as an artist, what what made
- 8:44Speaker 1: you kind of pivot and go more full in on
- 8:47Speaker 1: the content and the comedy. It was a video one day,
- 8:52Speaker 1: like when Instagram first started now videos, when they first
- 8:54Speaker 1: started doing videos, it was fifteen seconds. I was just like,
- 8:57Speaker 1: just on some funny shit. I was like, uh, this
- 9:00Speaker 1: member's answer to the party, and it was me doing
- 9:01Speaker 1: a dance called the Hoover Stump. I did that and
- 9:03Speaker 1: went viral and then the follow started coming in and
- 9:06Speaker 1: so I was like, ooh, I always wanted to get
- 9:08Speaker 1: into acting, so this might be that avenue. So I
- 9:11Speaker 1: started doing that and then once I started doing the
- 9:13Speaker 1: comedy stuff because my personality and who I am is
- 9:16Speaker 1: just goofy, So started doing that shit and then it
- 9:20Speaker 1: just blew up. So then when I started to try
- 9:22Speaker 1: to put out music, it was hard for the newer
- 9:25Speaker 1: fans to gravitate too, because they're like, oh, you comedy right, right,
- 9:29Speaker 1: So I started doing celebrity impression so they can still
- 9:32Speaker 1: hear my bars, but hear it from a different person
- 9:35Speaker 1: that'd be like, oh this sit hard. So the acting
- 9:38Speaker 1: shit just it just blew up, so the music kind
- 9:40Speaker 1: of fell in the background. I think it's dope because,
- 9:44Speaker 1: like you said, like what you do I think is
- 9:47Speaker 1: very is authentic, but it's also kind of like for
- 9:50Speaker 1: anybody who's not from LA it's also like low key educational. Yeah. Yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm like the hood learners God, and I am the
- 9:58Speaker 1: hood pass if you will. Yeah, I feel like you
- 10:01Speaker 1: kind of like touch on so many like things that
- 10:04Speaker 1: nobody would even think about if they because you know,
- 10:07Speaker 1: we live in LA. Yeah, most people ain't from here
- 10:11Speaker 1: who are within this industry, this music industry, this entertainment industry.
- 10:15Speaker 1: A lot of transplants, but a lot of people move
- 10:17Speaker 1: like don't really know how to move around out here.
- 10:19Speaker 1: For me, my hood pass was DJ Head West Coast.
- 10:22Speaker 1: DJ Head kind of had to put me on the Hey, look,
- 10:25Speaker 1: don't wear this hat. This DJ. I remember one night
- 10:28Speaker 1: at the radio station had broke down every gang beef
- 10:33Speaker 1: in LA because I had no fucking idea that this
- 10:36Speaker 1: gang beats with this gang. And there's a reason why
- 10:38Speaker 1: you never hear this artist work with this artist. And
- 10:41Speaker 1: I was just like, oh shit, the politics. It's crazy.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I always knew there was politics, but I didn't know that, like,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know, crypt sets beef with cripsets some places, and
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm just like, what the fuck is going on? So,
- 10:54Speaker 1: but I feel like you kind of like are like
- 10:56Speaker 1: a very like easily digestible way of like kind of
- 11:00Speaker 1: just understanding LA culture a bit more. Thank you. I
- 11:03Speaker 1: appreciate that. Yeah. Was that kind of like the goal
- 11:05Speaker 1: for you to kind of because you know, people always
- 11:08Speaker 1: think Hollywood and the Valley is LA, but it's not.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's not, it's not at all. Was that your kind
- 11:14Speaker 1: of goal though, Like, I want to be funny, but
- 11:15Speaker 1: I also want to make sure like I kind of
- 11:17Speaker 1: shine a light on like the culture of the city. Yeah, honestly, bro,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I wanted to be a voice for people that come
- 11:27Speaker 1: from where I come from, because we don't really have
- 11:29Speaker 1: a voice too much. We had a voice with John Singleton,
- 11:33Speaker 1: ice Que, DJ Pool, rec In Peace, f Gary Gray,
- 11:38Speaker 1: you know, filmmakers like that, and those movies were so dope.
- 11:44Speaker 1: They told our story, but it still needed to be
- 11:47Speaker 1: dugging a little deeper. So what I always valued was
- 11:52Speaker 1: just us. I love who we are. So I was like, okay,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and all these movies and all these films that have
- 11:56Speaker 1: people from other places portraying us, why aren't we portraying us?
- 12:01Speaker 1: So I'm like, all right, I'm gonna provide these opportunities
- 12:03Speaker 1: for people that look like me, that come from where
- 12:05Speaker 1: I come from, these opportunities to show them we capable
- 12:08Speaker 1: of doing this, doing the shit too. So I just
- 12:11Speaker 1: took pride in like us, like I love us so much,
- 12:14Speaker 1: So I'm gonna show. I'm gonna show the fun side,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna show the ignorance, I'm gonna show everything. I'm
- 12:18Speaker 1: gonna put everything in the video, and that gives you whatever,
- 12:22Speaker 1: like thought, like, whatever thoughts you get off of the video.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I leave it open for you to discuss whatever you want.
- 12:27Speaker 1: But I'm showing everything as a whole to get you
- 12:30Speaker 1: to laugh, get you to heal through the pain, but
- 12:32Speaker 1: also to see the ignorance that we continue to put
- 12:34Speaker 1: out to show you like look at yourself, you know
- 12:36Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, and then you also kind of
- 12:38Speaker 1: just like you said, you bring in people from from LA,
- 12:41Speaker 1: like you know, you'll collaborate with Duno or like certain
- 12:43Speaker 1: people who are who are you know, you'll share your
- 12:45Speaker 1: platform with other LA personalities. So I think that's dope, man.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Thank you talk about Growing Up in LA, which is
- 12:53Speaker 1: like for people who don't know, it's like a TV
- 12:55Speaker 1: show that you that you're behind, that it skits. Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 1: How many episodes did you do? I did five this
- 13:03Speaker 1: season five self produced. Yeah. Yeah, So give us like
- 13:08Speaker 1: a rundown of growing Up in LA because that's on
- 13:10Speaker 1: your YouTube channel, right, Yeah, so on YouTube channel. Growing
- 13:13Speaker 1: Up in LA is the sketch comedy show I created
- 13:16Speaker 1: with the help of my lady, Mike Williams. She she
- 13:22Speaker 1: helped me figure out the concept and basically I wanted
- 13:28Speaker 1: to do a sketch show like All my Life about
- 13:31Speaker 1: my experience growing up in LA, but also tie in
- 13:33Speaker 1: the things that inspired me as a kid. So she
- 13:37Speaker 1: was like, Okay, Boom, we're gonna get together. Look just
- 13:41Speaker 1: how you write this. So I structured it and I
- 13:44Speaker 1: do skits where it consisted of me sitting on the
- 13:47Speaker 1: couch looking at TV and I'm reenacting the shit on
- 13:49Speaker 1: TV like cops, cheaters, shit like that, and it's just
- 13:52Speaker 1: a variety of sketch show like all the shit I
- 13:54Speaker 1: watched Robert Townsend's uh uh what was the name of
- 14:00Speaker 1: the show, Robert Townsen's Partners in Crime, the Dave Chappelle Show,
- 14:06Speaker 1: Dwayne's Brother, Jamie Fox show, Martin all that. So I
- 14:10Speaker 1: incorporated all those things into this sketch show, which allowed
- 14:14Speaker 1: you to see the black and brown community getting together.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And then you see like these different situations and these
- 14:20Speaker 1: different characters, and it's just like something dope for the city,
- 14:23Speaker 1: just really la base. But you get the hints of
- 14:26Speaker 1: different spots when you can watch certain things and they're like, ooh, shit,
- 14:29Speaker 1: that resonates with where I'm from. It's also impressive because,
- 14:32Speaker 1: like you know, I think in twenty twenty two or
- 14:35Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, when you first put the episodes out,
- 14:37Speaker 1: like you feel like a lot of content creators traditionally
- 14:42Speaker 1: will depend on a machine or a developmental deal or
- 14:48Speaker 1: something to do what you did. Yeah, when now we
- 14:50Speaker 1: have our own plot like YouTube, Like you know what
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like there's really no excuse. If you got
- 14:56Speaker 1: an idea, you put your head down, save your money,
- 15:00Speaker 1: figure it out, Like, yeah, you should be able to
- 15:01Speaker 1: execute your ideas. Like was it for you? Was it
- 15:05Speaker 1: like did you try to shop that idea around before
- 15:08Speaker 1: you just decided to put it out or were you like,
- 15:10Speaker 1: let me let me put it out first, Yeah, and
- 15:12Speaker 1: then garner interest and Yeah. My whole thing was I
- 15:15Speaker 1: wanted to do it myself, Like with the show producing myself,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I've written it myself, I got to cast myself everything.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I more so was like I'm not waiting for nobody
- 15:24Speaker 1: give me an opportunity. I'm gonna give myself an opportunity
- 15:27Speaker 1: because a lot of times we tend to wait on
- 15:29Speaker 1: other people to throw in that life rap instead of
- 15:32Speaker 1: jumping out in the ocean and swimming yourself figuring it out.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So I was like, I'm gonna do the show my
- 15:37Speaker 1: damn self, and if it blows up that way, it
- 15:40Speaker 1: goes that way. But with me doing it myself, I'm
- 15:42Speaker 1: gonna learn the importance of independence and figuring it out
- 15:45Speaker 1: on my own. So I'm not at a cross road
- 15:47Speaker 1: to if this shit don't work, I don't know how
- 15:49Speaker 1: to do this. I'm gonna do this now and we're
- 15:51Speaker 1: gonna see what happens. What were some of the lessons
- 15:54Speaker 1: that likes because obviously doing something for the first time,
- 15:57Speaker 1: you're gonna be like, okay, shit, yeah, the next season,
- 16:00Speaker 1: we gotta do this different over some of the things
- 16:03Speaker 1: that you either made mistakes on or that you learned
- 16:05Speaker 1: from the first season that you know, bros. Hiring a
- 16:09Speaker 1: better crew, like not like that, Like I got love
- 16:13Speaker 1: for the crew I did have, but I feel like
- 16:17Speaker 1: they didn't execute the vision will and that was that
- 16:21Speaker 1: was is the reason why we only had five episodes
- 16:23Speaker 1: because it was just like a battle of power. And
- 16:27Speaker 1: the thing is, bro, we are here to work together.
- 16:32Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I give you instruction. You
- 16:34Speaker 1: can throw your opinions cool. I will take that and
- 16:38Speaker 1: if I if I can apply it, I will apply it.
- 16:40Speaker 1: But if I'm writing this and I'm doing this, like
- 16:44Speaker 1: trust me and my vision and I'm letting you know
- 16:46Speaker 1: how it should go. So that making sure everything is
- 16:50Speaker 1: taken care of for a sound and all that shit,
- 16:52Speaker 1: because that shit really matters, does matter. The right little
- 16:56Speaker 1: things that you don't even think about are things like
- 17:00Speaker 1: your shit look like official or makes it look like
- 17:02Speaker 1: yeah so that and and really, uh, what was another
- 17:09Speaker 1: thing that I learned from the show that was it
- 17:14Speaker 1: just a production because everything else was cool because it
- 17:16Speaker 1: was like all people that I worked with before, So
- 17:18Speaker 1: everybody else was easy and fine to do it, But
- 17:20Speaker 1: it was just hiring the right crew. The small things
- 17:23Speaker 1: really does matter, especially if it's like your first thing
- 17:26Speaker 1: coming out with that can be the the rids or
- 17:29Speaker 1: the fall of who you are, because if it's like
- 17:32Speaker 1: super shitty during the first go around, it makes people
- 17:35Speaker 1: kind of hesitant to like, I don't know that's real.
- 17:38Speaker 1: That's real. Just taking care of those small details, sound,
- 17:42Speaker 1: the color, the right editing, like all that shit really
- 17:46Speaker 1: means a lot for people who come to LA, give
- 17:52Speaker 1: me a give me the parameters of where the real
- 17:55Speaker 1: LA starts, because most people will be in fucking Melrose
- 17:58Speaker 1: getting robbed these days because they're walking around with jewelry
- 18:01Speaker 1: and it's hot out here, But like where where is
- 18:04Speaker 1: like you know, where would you suggest the people actually
- 18:09Speaker 1: tap in if they really want to get into like
- 18:11Speaker 1: actual real l A culture, not just the Melrose and
- 18:14Speaker 1: fair Fast you got, you gotta hit the other side
- 18:16Speaker 1: of Pico like all like all the hood spots. Man
- 18:20Speaker 1: fucking I says, it's just the it's really the other
- 18:28Speaker 1: side of peakle I say, like, Nigga, once you cross,
- 18:30Speaker 1: like go to the east side and that's basically like
- 18:35Speaker 1: like uh, you know south Central Watts Uh, like the
- 18:42Speaker 1: west side, not going towards like you know, Hollywood and all.
- 18:45Speaker 1: That's that's the cute ship. Once you go to the
- 18:49Speaker 1: hood to like where you seeing food spots like TAM's,
- 18:52Speaker 1: uh Master Burgers, like certain fist factories and all that ship,
- 18:58Speaker 1: that's the hood ship. You Is it frustrating being an
- 19:04Speaker 1: LA native? Yeah, Like I feel like it's like I'm
- 19:06Speaker 1: talking to figure ot how to explain this because I'm like,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I just feel like LA is so like I don't
- 19:10Speaker 1: want to miss no parts. People come here and they
- 19:13Speaker 1: pillage what the opportunities are that the city gives them,
- 19:16Speaker 1: but then they'll go on Twitter and bash La like nah,
- 19:20Speaker 1: that's like that shit happens so much. Yeah, And he's like, yo,
- 19:23Speaker 1: like the audacity of motherfuckers come here like the fucking
- 19:26Speaker 1: townhouse and fucking Woodland Hills. Yeah, and then ship on
- 19:29Speaker 1: the whole shit on LA. Yeah, so you live in
- 19:32Speaker 1: Woodland Hills exactly. You're not in the hood part. But
- 19:34Speaker 1: the thing is now when you come to this spot,
- 19:36Speaker 1: now you got to watch your ass. Yeah, because you're
- 19:38Speaker 1: running everybody. You can't do that. Like you have to
- 19:42Speaker 1: know in LA. You got to know how to speak.
- 19:45Speaker 1: You gotta know what words not to say and different
- 19:47Speaker 1: like different ship like that. It's like different words that
- 19:50Speaker 1: you get every day. Use can also be a disc
- 19:53Speaker 1: What are those words? I can't say none of them
- 19:56Speaker 1: words on camera. But it's certain items objects like food. Wait,
- 20:04Speaker 1: there's food. It's food names that are dis is like
- 20:07Speaker 1: you got to be careful of, Like you can't take
- 20:09Speaker 1: crab yeah, okay, see see Okay, Now that used to
- 20:13Speaker 1: be so bad, but now it's kind of like not okay,
- 20:17Speaker 1: but it's like you can kind of get away with
- 20:19Speaker 1: it because that's not something that you can expect everybody
- 20:22Speaker 1: to know. But like the certain shit like certain pastries
- 20:25Speaker 1: and certain juices and certain snacks. You can't say none
- 20:30Speaker 1: of that ship because you get your ass packed out, Chris,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna go get some crip legs, Like they don't
- 20:34Speaker 1: say crab crip legs. What is the safe hat to wear?
- 20:41Speaker 1: La LA? A blue LA black A black LA blue
- 20:47Speaker 1: one is low key safe? But like the eighteens where
- 20:50Speaker 1: you know the blue LA hat game? Yeah, okay eighteens? Yeah, yes,
- 20:57Speaker 1: so so black LA hat is the Yeah, Like that's
- 21:00Speaker 1: like the safest joint come from Arizona. What about a
- 21:04Speaker 1: Diamondbacks hat? Can I is the Arizona Diamondbacks hat? Anything anywhere?
- 21:10Speaker 1: I feel like you're the guy to ask. It definitely
- 21:14Speaker 1: can be, but that's not in my opinion, No disrespect
- 21:18Speaker 1: to nobody, but it's not one of the more high
- 21:21Speaker 1: ranking hats, right like because because I got I got
- 21:24Speaker 1: an asy hat bro at the house, it's kind of
- 21:26Speaker 1: like it can be, but like I could, I think
- 21:29Speaker 1: I kind of be okay, but that you can still
- 21:33Speaker 1: get some flack with that motherfucker. If you had high
- 21:35Speaker 1: ranking if you had to rank the top five high
- 21:37Speaker 1: ranking hats in LA as far as like, hey, careful
- 21:41Speaker 1: where you wear these motherfuckers? Oh? What would they be?
- 21:46Speaker 1: I say number one? Number one would be the Houston
- 21:51Speaker 1: Astros which is Hoover's the Hoover hat. Then you have
- 21:56Speaker 1: you have the sixties had the Mariners. That's done. Then
- 22:01Speaker 1: you have the folk Glove with the Photies hat. That's
- 22:05Speaker 1: the Brewers. Yeah yeah, yeah, uh. The motherfucking what's the
- 22:17Speaker 1: BPS is the Cardinals St. Louis Cardinals, Yes, Saint Louis
- 22:20Speaker 1: car the stl hat how to get you fucked over?
- 22:26Speaker 1: And the TA hat Texas Yeah, the tea hat for
- 22:31Speaker 1: Trey JANINSS and and twenty Bloods. Like you get your
- 22:35Speaker 1: ass whooped on like them hats I mean and why
- 22:38Speaker 1: I had, yeah, of course, but like certain ones pinpoint
- 22:41Speaker 1: exact hoods, like the Photies in the in the sixties
- 22:44Speaker 1: had like like a New York hat. It is just neighborhood, right, yes, neighborhood.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You get your you get your ass whooped on with
- 22:49Speaker 1: that hat too. Yeah. And it's crazy because so many
- 22:51Speaker 1: people just that's like the most popular hat in the world. Yeah.
- 22:54Speaker 1: People just be like, I need a Yankee fitted. Yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 1: He was the Homie Lewis from the band. He was like, like,
- 23:02Speaker 1: what's up with the ny N. I'm like, now you
- 23:03Speaker 1: can't wear that. That's the neighborhood that He's like, what
- 23:05Speaker 1: so they gonna trip on jay Z. Nah? They know
- 23:07Speaker 1: jay Z nigga, they don't know you, they don't fuck
- 23:09Speaker 1: you up. You can't wear them nah, jay Z smooth.
- 23:16Speaker 1: You got to like obviously, you know, the wilding Out
- 23:19Speaker 1: thing is a big deal show. First of all, I
- 23:21Speaker 1: feel like Nick Cannon doesn't get enough flowers in general,
- 23:24Speaker 1: just for like wild'n Out and the careers that helped
- 23:28Speaker 1: start and just I look up to Nick Cannon and
- 23:31Speaker 1: I think he's an incredible business man, incredible creed. But
- 23:36Speaker 1: how did that initially happen? Basically? Uh, I was going
- 23:41Speaker 1: through like a bed relationship, like I said all the time,
- 23:44Speaker 1: and I was asking God for a sign. When I
- 23:46Speaker 1: got on my Instagram, I see Nickkinnon Like, yo, boy, Nick,
- 23:48Speaker 1: who don't want to see them wateryda? So I got
- 23:52Speaker 1: up and I took the last money I had, went
- 23:54Speaker 1: to the slows and got me a waternight hoodie, and
- 23:56Speaker 1: I started doing skits every day and and so the
- 24:00Speaker 1: the view started to go up on it. Then people
- 24:02Speaker 1: were like, I'm gonna get you, I'm gonna link you.
- 24:04Speaker 1: When Theick Cannon no, no, no, never did it. DJ
- 24:06Speaker 1: Head called me like, hey, you talk to Nick. I
- 24:07Speaker 1: was like, nah, ain't talk to Nick. He's like, all right,
- 24:09Speaker 1: boom connected the dots, putting Nick on the phone. And
- 24:12Speaker 1: Nick was like, hey, people have been telling me about
- 24:15Speaker 1: your shit. I just never watched it. But I can't
- 24:18Speaker 1: guarantee you gonna make my show, but I can give
- 24:20Speaker 1: you an audition. And I was like, bro, don't guarantee
- 24:23Speaker 1: me shit. Give me the audition. Then I'll show you why,
- 24:25Speaker 1: because I don't believe in nobody just giving me something
- 24:30Speaker 1: like that. Just here, yo, You'd rather earn it because
- 24:33Speaker 1: I want to know the importance of having this versus
- 24:37Speaker 1: me having it and not knowing the importance of it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I want to I want
- 24:41Speaker 1: to work my way to to understand why I got this.
- 24:44Speaker 1: So they was like, all right, do an audition tape.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Like what you mean doing audition tape? Like, I don't
- 24:49Speaker 1: got to come to y'all. They're like, nah, make your own.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I was like, fuck. Went to the barbershop, set it
- 24:54Speaker 1: up like the water and I had the tables, had
- 24:56Speaker 1: the chair that had the waternow girls, and I played
- 24:57Speaker 1: every game and I did all that, and I put
- 24:59Speaker 1: it in a bitdeo and they didn't hit me back,
- 25:01Speaker 1: so I was like, oh, my shit sucked. And then
- 25:03Speaker 1: they called me like I think like a week or
- 25:06Speaker 1: so before my birthday and was like, I want to
- 25:07Speaker 1: fly you to Atlanta and you know, go to workshop.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And that's how that happened because my hard work head.
- 25:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Ali hooping that shit because
- 25:16Speaker 1: I deserved it, not because he's just doing the favor,
- 25:18Speaker 1: but I deserved it. And the rest is history. As
- 25:21Speaker 1: I got there being like somebody who's creating so much
- 25:25Speaker 1: dope content doing your own independent TV show, have like
- 25:29Speaker 1: any of like the Hollywood scene or industry reached out
- 25:32Speaker 1: to maybe have you help write or do any sort
- 25:35Speaker 1: of acting or anything. Has that. No, I've gotten some
- 25:38Speaker 1: acting opportunities, and you know, I was able to low
- 25:45Speaker 1: key like I don't want to say it like that,
- 25:47Speaker 1: but I was able to like chat with like Issa's
- 25:49Speaker 1: team's amazing. I wanted to like meet her. I was
- 25:53Speaker 1: an insecure too, but I didn't get a chance to
- 25:55Speaker 1: fully meet Lisa. But yeah, like just people just just
- 25:59Speaker 1: watching and I'm happy with them watching why because they
- 26:02Speaker 1: tuned in? So whatever the fuck I do that opportunity
- 26:05Speaker 1: to gonna meet itself one day. Yeah, I love like
- 26:07Speaker 1: just how she curates that, like well, obviously the show's
- 26:10Speaker 1: over now, but yeah, the music, Yeah, I just feels
- 26:13Speaker 1: so it is like it's it's so like hood, like
- 26:19Speaker 1: not even in a bad way. It's just she get
- 26:21Speaker 1: the locals and then she had like, you know, people
- 26:24Speaker 1: from different spots too, but like just the locals. She
- 26:26Speaker 1: catered to her section and it's like love. Yeah, it
- 26:31Speaker 1: feels like almost like a like a commercial version of
- 26:36Speaker 1: like what you do. I guess it's like if you
- 26:38Speaker 1: watch that show and you're in Houston or something, you
- 26:40Speaker 1: kind of get a real taste of like LA culture
- 26:44Speaker 1: and what it's like to be like a young woman
- 26:46Speaker 1: in La. And you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 1: that's why I love Eastern Man, even watching The Misadventures
- 26:53Speaker 1: of an aquad Black Girl, watching how it developed from
- 26:55Speaker 1: that on YouTube to their like she is the prime
- 26:59Speaker 1: example of getting out the mud and chasing your dream,
- 27:02Speaker 1: Like I love what east is doing, no excuse, doing
- 27:05Speaker 1: your own and then people will find you. And if
- 27:08Speaker 1: they're gonna fuck with you, they're gonna fuck with you.
- 27:09Speaker 1: You're just gonna keep running it up. Yeah, So like,
- 27:12Speaker 1: I love the funk out of that man, and I
- 27:14Speaker 1: thank you for that compliment too. Yeah. How how has
- 27:17Speaker 1: the pandemic affected you? It affected me in a good way,
- 27:21Speaker 1: I was gonna say, because I feel like you kind
- 27:22Speaker 1: of went up in the Yeah for sure. For sure,
- 27:25Speaker 1: because it leveled the playing field for all creatives around
- 27:30Speaker 1: the world. You ain't got no excuse. Oh get more
- 27:33Speaker 1: than me, nigga, we in the house. Like, So that's
- 27:37Speaker 1: how I got my YouTube popping broke. Like the first
- 27:40Speaker 1: kid I did during the pandemic was I did a
- 27:42Speaker 1: remake of I Am Legend, but I was doing it
- 27:45Speaker 1: as the pandemic version, talking about how it's like no
- 27:47Speaker 1: toilet paper and I'm outside looking for gas. If anybody
- 27:51Speaker 1: got the gas pack hit my line. So I did
- 27:55Speaker 1: that and then I started doing uh hell of skits
- 27:59Speaker 1: every day and I rant it up on YouTube. I
- 28:01Speaker 1: had about like four hundred YouTube subscribers. By the end
- 28:05Speaker 1: of the first year of the pandemic, I had like
- 28:07Speaker 1: a hundred and ten k followers. Wow you got that
- 28:11Speaker 1: plaque boa Yeah oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 28:13Speaker 1: got that plaqu I'm proud of that. Moe fucker I'm
- 28:16Speaker 1: on my way to the fire, honey k plaque saying,
- 28:19Speaker 1: then I'm hit that MILLI. I'm about to be in
- 28:21Speaker 1: the game. Bro. That's big man. Yeah. The thing that's
- 28:23Speaker 1: dope is like, like you said, like I always tell
- 28:25Speaker 1: people like the pandemic made it to where I feel
- 28:28Speaker 1: like you have no excuse because all of the like
- 28:31Speaker 1: even if you were like a you know my industry
- 28:33Speaker 1: where your radio personality, like artists were doing ig lives, yeah,
- 28:38Speaker 1: zooms and and so like, it really leveled the playing
- 28:42Speaker 1: field for everybody. Yeah. So it really kind of to
- 28:44Speaker 1: me like separated, like who's really with this shits? Just
- 28:49Speaker 1: like really not built for this shit anymore. Yeah. Yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 1: Like I was like, all right, bro, look I don't
- 28:56Speaker 1: give a fuck if it don't work, try it. At
- 29:00Speaker 1: least I can say it didn't once I try, you
- 29:02Speaker 1: feel me? So I was like, this pandemic run it up.
- 29:05Speaker 1: We got out filming every single day, and we shoot
- 29:08Speaker 1: all skits on a cell phone, not even an iPhone,
- 29:10Speaker 1: on a on a on a Samsung Galaxy that's twenty
- 29:16Speaker 1: and I edit on my iPhone. I keep both on me.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I mean my guy Galaxy flip come. But I got
- 29:22Speaker 1: them both. Yeah, yeah, but you don't know that galaxy
- 29:25Speaker 1: that the camera is best fire. It's fire. It's just
- 29:29Speaker 1: there's just no eye message. That's the only bad part
- 29:32Speaker 1: about it. And emojis or shitty. Yes, but if a
- 29:34Speaker 1: galaxy got the eye message, your bubbles word fucking grit.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Oh bye bye bye bye that camera fire. All your
- 29:42Speaker 1: skits are shot on a cell phone. Yep, all on
- 29:44Speaker 1: the cell phone, and edit on my iPhone. So you
- 29:47Speaker 1: don't even edit on the laptop. No, I did it
- 29:49Speaker 1: on my hands. Wow. What program do you use? I'm
- 29:54Speaker 1: gonna tell I ain't never really told it, but I
- 29:55Speaker 1: use eyemovie, I use d shot in this other app
- 30:00Speaker 1: called uh keen Master King Master keen Master. So there's
- 30:06Speaker 1: literally no excuse if you're out there master, there's no
- 30:10Speaker 1: fucking excuse, no excuse. Everyone has a phone, nigga. If
- 30:14Speaker 1: you if you need music, you got screen record. Ah.
- 30:18Speaker 1: So if you need to put music in your ship,
- 30:20Speaker 1: just screen record, turn off the turn off the notifications,
- 30:23Speaker 1: screen record that motherfucker straight through, rip the audio from
- 30:27Speaker 1: that layering on the video. And you do all that
- 30:29Speaker 1: on your phone and upload it a YouTube, all on
- 30:31Speaker 1: my phone. Wow, Like I'm I'm old school, bro. Even
- 30:35Speaker 1: when I wrap, I've got notebooks, like I like the
- 30:39Speaker 1: value of using my hands, like being hands on. You
- 30:42Speaker 1: like all your own ship. You edit all my own ship.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I'll be up all night editing on my ship. And
- 30:46Speaker 1: if I need to do a voice recording, I go
- 30:48Speaker 1: on my closet, close the door, record like that. It's
- 30:50Speaker 1: crazy because a lot of people will use the excuse, well,
- 30:53Speaker 1: I don't have cameras, cameras are expensive, or camera one
- 30:56Speaker 1: who can edit, or I don't learn it. My MacBook does,
- 31:00Speaker 1: can't handle the footage. I don't have it. Man, Look
- 31:03Speaker 1: if you're doing it all on your phone, no excuse.
- 31:06Speaker 1: There's no excuse, bro. I'm telling you, you know how
- 31:08Speaker 1: many times my fucking stories be so full in this phone.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I got to delete everything out of my phone, pictures,
- 31:13Speaker 1: videos of like family shit. I'll be uploading shit to
- 31:16Speaker 1: dropbox now. But like, no excuse, my phone and crashed
- 31:20Speaker 1: and blacked out because I edited so much and I
- 31:22Speaker 1: had too much footage. But I believe in myself that
- 31:24Speaker 1: much that I'm not gonna give myself an excuse not
- 31:27Speaker 1: to be great. I'm not gonna say, oh, it's this
- 31:30Speaker 1: person fault. I don't have this, I don't have that. No,
- 31:32Speaker 1: you build that shit up and then the team comes
- 31:34Speaker 1: as you build. The thing about it is you have
- 31:37Speaker 1: to learn something in order to to to get somewhere.
- 31:41Speaker 1: You have to go through those punches. If you don't
- 31:44Speaker 1: take that hard route, when you make it and shit crumble,
- 31:46Speaker 1: you don't know how to pick those pieces back up.
- 31:48Speaker 1: But once you learn how to get it from where
- 31:51Speaker 1: you are at Nigga, you straight. It is not just
- 31:53Speaker 1: like risk people. When rik people lose all their money,
- 31:57Speaker 1: they don't know what to do because they don't know
- 31:58Speaker 1: how to get it. Once you know how to get it,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you know you're straight no matter what happens. It's a
- 32:02Speaker 1: one man army over here. Come on, that's big. Come on.
- 32:05Speaker 1: The other thing too, is consistency, right, Like I always
- 32:07Speaker 1: tell people, like, if you start something, a lot of
- 32:09Speaker 1: people get discouraged because maybe the first two or three,
- 32:12Speaker 1: four or five even ten things they do might not
- 32:14Speaker 1: set the fucking world on fire. But it's like, yo,
- 32:16Speaker 1: if you believe in yourself, if it's good, it's gotta
- 32:20Speaker 1: be good. Yeah. Because there's rappers who we know probably
- 32:22Speaker 1: been wrapping for twenty fucking years, it's like, get ahead.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Your shit is trash, yeah, yeah, rus. But like if
- 32:28Speaker 1: your shit is good, if you're dope, if you're doing
- 32:30Speaker 1: quality shit, whatever you're doing music, content, whatever, podcast, as
- 32:35Speaker 1: long as you're consistent, it's gonna eventually it's gonna work
- 32:40Speaker 1: for you. You just have to just not get derailed
- 32:43Speaker 1: by you know that's shit it because like it is discouraging,
- 32:50Speaker 1: but you gotta think about it. Not everybody is gonna
- 32:54Speaker 1: like what you do, and there's gonna be some people
- 32:57Speaker 1: that do, So you do it for those, like it's
- 32:59Speaker 1: better for you to do it from those core fans
- 33:02Speaker 1: that fuck with you. Because you know, for a fact,
- 33:04Speaker 1: if I do a show, if I do anything, these
- 33:06Speaker 1: are the core people that I know that's gonna buy this.
- 33:07Speaker 1: It's gonna purchase this. So I need to figure out
- 33:09Speaker 1: a way to make sure they keep coming back. You
- 33:12Speaker 1: just stay, you just keep doing. Your people are gonna
- 33:14Speaker 1: pay your bills, keep the lights on them, come on.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Don't sit there and think about, oh, is they gonna
- 33:18Speaker 1: fuck with it? No work so hard to you putting
- 33:21Speaker 1: it out. You not even work, it's not even on
- 33:22Speaker 1: your mind because you working so much. And then it's
- 33:24Speaker 1: gonna catch it, be like, oh shit, a mom, I'm
- 33:26Speaker 1: gonna keep mashing. You gotta keep going no matter what
- 33:29Speaker 1: I didn't, I didn't fail with this shit. I didn't
- 33:31Speaker 1: have breaks to where I had to stop. I had
- 33:34Speaker 1: to like just just get my thoughts together, but don't
- 33:38Speaker 1: live in that. You feel me like, take your time,
- 33:41Speaker 1: but go for it and then stay consistent on your ship.
- 33:44Speaker 1: A lot of things that people don't understand is like
- 33:47Speaker 1: hard work does be talent. This is the fucking truth. Man,
- 33:51Speaker 1: Like nigga, if you work hard at fuck, you can
- 33:54Speaker 1: get somewhere. It's a person that's funnier than me that's
- 33:57Speaker 1: in the hood. The only difference is, bro, don't have
- 34:00Speaker 1: that that that that passing, that drive to make it happen.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Ye know what I'm saying. It's like people that we
- 34:06Speaker 1: know that are trash, that are trash and not to
- 34:09Speaker 1: disrespect nobody, but you know certain things are trash and
- 34:12Speaker 1: they make it because what they work hard. No excuses
- 34:16Speaker 1: like you gotta have hard work, bro, Yeah, No, hard
- 34:18Speaker 1: work beats talent every every time. Man, Come on, man,
- 34:21Speaker 1: I mean we know so many I know so many
- 34:22Speaker 1: of my homies who are like amazing athletes and could
- 34:26Speaker 1: have been in the league. Yeah, but they didn't put
- 34:28Speaker 1: the work in. They didn't take the ship serious. They
- 34:30Speaker 1: was fucking bitches. Are they was partying or they were
- 34:32Speaker 1: doing all that? I was like, bro, eliminate that. Yeah,
- 34:35Speaker 1: now you're in the Drew League, which is a nice
- 34:37Speaker 1: place to be. But like you know what I mean,
- 34:42Speaker 1: what is what's next for you? Man? Everything under the sun? Movies,
- 34:47Speaker 1: TV shows? What are you working on right now? Like?
- 34:51Speaker 1: Are you working on season two of the show? Yep?
- 34:54Speaker 1: I'm working on season two? Growing up in La I'm
- 34:58Speaker 1: working on directing like a few commercials for Pro Club.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I'm just really just tapping in everything. I'm gonna record music,
- 35:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna work on like some animation, cartoons and shit
- 35:10Speaker 1: like just I'm doing everything. As long as I got
- 35:14Speaker 1: feeling in my hands and my legs, I'm doing it all. Bro,
- 35:18Speaker 1: are you gonna do the music thing from a serious
- 35:21Speaker 1: standpoint or you need to try to mix in some
- 35:23Speaker 1: of the comedy I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do both.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it from a serious standpoint, and I
- 35:28Speaker 1: also gonna give people what they like as far as
- 35:30Speaker 1: me because one thing I got an incredible ear for
- 35:33Speaker 1: creating those artists collapse of who I want to hear
- 35:35Speaker 1: on the song when I do the celebrity impressions. So
- 35:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna give them that, but I'm going to give
- 35:40Speaker 1: them who I am, you know, as a music artist.
- 35:43Speaker 1: But I'm not doing it to use that to be
- 35:47Speaker 1: in the forefront. I'm doing it, putting it out because
- 35:49Speaker 1: I care about it. So if you fuck with it,
- 35:51Speaker 1: you fuck with it. It's cool. If you don't, I'm
- 35:53Speaker 1: not tripping because I'm doing it for me. I'm not
- 35:54Speaker 1: doing it for you, you know what I'm saying. So
- 35:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna just do everything that God put me on
- 35:58Speaker 1: this earth to do. I feel like videos would be crazy.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. I feel like if you write somebody,
- 36:04Speaker 1: I've just thinking like nobody has done and I'm not
- 36:08Speaker 1: I'm not comparing you in terms of like music or content,
- 36:10Speaker 1: but like if you think of like someone who's like
- 36:13Speaker 1: comedically gifted in their mind, like Little Dicky, Yeah, like
- 36:18Speaker 1: his fire, his visuals are literally broken because his videos
- 36:22Speaker 1: were just so good and so creative. It's so funny. Yeah,
- 36:25Speaker 1: Like I feel like there's like a lane where like
- 36:28Speaker 1: I mean, obviously he's like a white Jewish guy and
- 36:30Speaker 1: he's killed it. Yeah, Dave's funny as fuck. Yeah. I
- 36:33Speaker 1: feel like if you kind of like did like your
- 36:35Speaker 1: own version of that, but not like all the way
- 36:37Speaker 1: you know, goofy, but like I feel like your videos
- 36:41Speaker 1: could be crazy. No, thank you, bro, I'm working on that.
- 36:44Speaker 1: A person that was was doing that in a sense
- 36:46Speaker 1: was I think it was the weird Yakovic or something
- 36:49Speaker 1: weird out weird yanked. Yeah, he was doing that shit.
- 36:52Speaker 1: We were kids, yeah, and I was like, this dude
- 36:54Speaker 1: is like funny as fuck, so like it was on Platinum,
- 36:56Speaker 1: just remaking people ship like Gangster's parodic, all that is
- 37:01Speaker 1: paradise like so much. It Like I'm gonna go crazy
- 37:04Speaker 1: with some shit. I had did a few videos when
- 37:05Speaker 1: I did Big Bank Remix. I saw a video to that,
- 37:09Speaker 1: and I did YG's in the Dark, and I did
- 37:12Speaker 1: like some other shit. So I'm gonna go crazy with
- 37:13Speaker 1: the visuals and then I'm gonna figure out a way
- 37:16Speaker 1: to like mix it with like some animation shit to
- 37:18Speaker 1: give people like a dope ass feel. What is your
- 37:22Speaker 1: take on like the national narrative of LA anytime I'm
- 37:27Speaker 1: listening to like certain podcasts, they'll talk about, well, LA
- 37:31Speaker 1: is like fucking like the wild wild West right now.
- 37:34Speaker 1: It's like grand Theft Auto right now. You got certain
- 37:37Speaker 1: people in the LA law enforcement going on TV said,
- 37:40Speaker 1: don't come to LA. We can't protect you. Crime is up.
- 37:45Speaker 1: What are your like, Like, what's your take on just
- 37:48Speaker 1: kind of like the state of Los Angeles right now.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like it's like a half
- 37:53Speaker 1: and half thing. I feel like the city is like
- 37:55Speaker 1: hurting right now for whatever reason, we're hurting because it's
- 37:58Speaker 1: a lot of like since this, you know, violence and
- 38:02Speaker 1: crazy shit going on, and the reasons can be all
- 38:06Speaker 1: sorts of things. But I'm like LA is not that
- 38:09Speaker 1: shitty honestly, Like it has its bad parts and it
- 38:12Speaker 1: have its bad moments, but you got so much telling
- 38:15Speaker 1: out here. You got so much people that that that
- 38:16Speaker 1: fuck with you. They be going to the wrong spots
- 38:18Speaker 1: or taking these movies and really like mixing the shit up.
- 38:22Speaker 1: It ain't all that bad, like all day every day,
- 38:25Speaker 1: Like it's it's some cool shit today and a nigga
- 38:27Speaker 1: might trip tomorrow and it's cool the next day. So
- 38:29Speaker 1: it's just like it's just like I feel like, in
- 38:32Speaker 1: a sense, I love my city, but LA is like
- 38:34Speaker 1: kind of bipolar, Like it's bipolar, that's the best way
- 38:37Speaker 1: to put it. But it is. It's not all bad,
- 38:40Speaker 1: is what people are trying to make it seem to be.
- 38:41Speaker 1: It's just certain areas you know you shouldn't fuck around with,
- 38:44Speaker 1: like get your ass up out of there, like you
- 38:47Speaker 1: you can't go there looking like a meal amongst a
- 38:50Speaker 1: group of niggas that's hungry. Well, I think even in general,
- 38:53Speaker 1: like it's pretty obvious right now that like if you're
- 38:58Speaker 1: if you're walking in mails or your certain areas, like
- 39:01Speaker 1: your shit snatched, So why the if you're walking over
- 39:04Speaker 1: there wearing a fucking protect philip or like, yo, what
- 39:07Speaker 1: are you doing? Like you're app like just you know,
- 39:10Speaker 1: like you're asking like rob me and then motherfuckers are
- 39:13Speaker 1: not doing this money challenge and it's like you're just
- 39:16Speaker 1: showing people you're fucking moving around with a lot of
- 39:18Speaker 1: liquidity on you. So if they run into you, oh yeah,
- 39:22Speaker 1: what's up with that? You just had about ten grand
- 39:25Speaker 1: on your ig spelling out some stupid fucking phrase. Well
- 39:27Speaker 1: where's that at? You know what I'm coming on? Yeah,
- 39:30Speaker 1: so I'm hearing too, like like like you know, I
- 39:32Speaker 1: was talking to somebody who would know or at least
- 39:35Speaker 1: you know, semi know that a lot of those robberies
- 39:39Speaker 1: and shit, low key is a lot of people who
- 39:41Speaker 1: ain't even from LA pulling that ship what because you know,
- 39:47Speaker 1: like some of the shit that is going down, it's
- 39:50Speaker 1: fucked up. Like Homie's wife who got killed. Yeah his
- 39:56Speaker 1: name is Skipping. But you know, I know a lot
- 39:58Speaker 1: of people, a lot of a lot of the big
- 40:00Speaker 1: homies that I know were like actively trying to figure
- 40:03Speaker 1: out who did that because that was fucked up. Yeah,
- 40:05Speaker 1: And you know, I don't think I think some of
- 40:08Speaker 1: the ship ain't even from people from LA. It's just
- 40:10Speaker 1: transplants out here trying to get it in man. Yeah,
- 40:13Speaker 1: it's just I just say, just watch your ass, Yeah,
- 40:17Speaker 1: just move. That's why anytime an artist comes in here
- 40:20Speaker 1: and they're all iced out and they're like, yeah, we're
- 40:22Speaker 1: gonna go to bowl that night or something, and I'm like, hey, look, man,
- 40:24Speaker 1: don't go. You might wanna come on take all that
- 40:27Speaker 1: shit off on man, bro y'all need to go back
- 40:31Speaker 1: and learn about change snatching season. Change snatching season consists
- 40:35Speaker 1: of award shows. What's that shiit? Uh? Memorial Day weekend.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all that shit, bro, you're getting your ass
- 40:43Speaker 1: rob nigga. You can be out Roscos and they gonna
- 40:45Speaker 1: get you. You can be at the Bailly Center like different.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Don't don't come out here on that nigga. I'm don't
- 40:52Speaker 1: do that. Move humble, move respectful. You can wear your
- 40:54Speaker 1: change the shit and your interviews and all that, nigga,
- 40:56Speaker 1: but don't be kicking in regular spots where all it
- 40:59Speaker 1: takes that person to see you and they be like, hey,
- 41:01Speaker 1: whoop up here, don't do that. Be smart. Will literally
- 41:05Speaker 1: tell everyone where they are on Instagram, come on like
- 41:08Speaker 1: it's post post like, take the video, post it two
- 41:10Speaker 1: hours later. Yeah, it's just people just got to move better, bro.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Yeah that's crazy man. Well listen, looking forward to the
- 41:18Speaker 1: everything you got going on new season this year? Yeah,
- 41:23Speaker 1: this is sure, Yeah for sure. How often do you
- 41:25Speaker 1: post in a week on ig and on TikTok Instagram?
- 41:30Speaker 1: I post every day, so every day there's a year
- 41:34Speaker 1: a content. Yeah, I'm back consistent every day. I was
- 41:37Speaker 1: slowing down because I was writing the show and doing
- 41:39Speaker 1: the show. Now that I'm in the writing process, I
- 41:41Speaker 1: still got wiggle rooms. So what I do is like
- 41:43Speaker 1: the days I'm free, I stock up on helic content.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I shoot so much ship and then start editing during
- 41:48Speaker 1: the week, so I got up to post so every
- 41:50Speaker 1: day TikTok. They keep the leading my ship. So yeah,
- 41:53Speaker 1: not that much. But like YouTube and Instagram every day.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Shout out to YouTube, man, go how many? How how
- 41:58Speaker 1: many subscribers A right now, I got two hundred and
- 42:01Speaker 1: twelve k on that road to five hundrey k. That's big.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah man, that's money. Yeah, it's a nice check.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I mean we know over here. Yeah, shout out to
- 42:11Speaker 1: YouTube that YouTube money is good man. We appreciate you
- 42:13Speaker 1: pulling up bro. Yeah. Also real quick, yeah yeah, tell
- 42:15Speaker 1: people LA is crazy right now. I'm I'm kind of
- 42:21Speaker 1: black and I'm old, like I got an old soul.
- 42:24Speaker 1: This is my annointy blessing oil. So everybody, if you're
- 42:27Speaker 1: out in the street, get your blessing oil. Annoint yourself head,
- 42:30Speaker 1: your chest, the soles of your feet, the top of
- 42:33Speaker 1: your head is to allow God to send his angels
- 42:37Speaker 1: around you to protect you. And you just pray up
- 42:40Speaker 1: yourself because the city is going through so much shit
- 42:42Speaker 1: right now and I feel like it's not safe. Like that.
- 42:46Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. So just protect yourself, stay
- 42:50Speaker 1: out the way, and just whatever you believe in, believe
- 42:52Speaker 1: it to the fullest work. And someone buy annoint your
- 42:54Speaker 1: blessing oil. It seems like something you could just pull
- 42:56Speaker 1: up to the corner. Well, you can get like you
- 43:00Speaker 1: can get some like olive oil and just pray over
- 43:03Speaker 1: and just annoint yourself. Or you can go to like
- 43:04Speaker 1: one of those small black churches throughout the city and
- 43:07Speaker 1: ask them that, like you can't. I mean, well, some
- 43:10Speaker 1: churches might set us something just give it out because
- 43:13Speaker 1: it's it's of God. So a lot of people don't
- 43:16Speaker 1: charge for it. But I let y'all, I let y'all
- 43:19Speaker 1: know on my Instagram. Will you have I told meant
- 43:21Speaker 1: anoint your blessing oil for sale on your ig? No
- 43:24Speaker 1: I can't sell that, oh I say, hell no, Lord, sorry, sorry, No,
- 43:28Speaker 1: I can't sell it. I can't sell it. But they
- 43:30Speaker 1: move it and pull it like you're about to plug it.
- 43:32Speaker 1: You're like, but I just so listen two for ten
- 43:36Speaker 1: for the next twenty four hours. But I don't want
- 43:38Speaker 1: to sell people because like they see me post God
- 43:40Speaker 1: every day and I'm just showing them like this. This
- 43:42Speaker 1: is me every day like you see the bottles like
- 43:44Speaker 1: almost going. I annoyed myself and every day is clear
- 43:46Speaker 1: despite the rub oil. You could have act me right now,
- 43:50Speaker 1: but it's God's oil, you know what I'm saying. So
- 43:52Speaker 1: I annoyed myself and that's why I'm always protected, because
- 43:55Speaker 1: I pray and I annoyed myself and I move with respect.
- 43:57Speaker 1: That's amazing, man. We'll appreciate you pulling up. Bro. I'm
- 44:00Speaker 1: a fan. Keep doing your thing. Wa tomy kwan boom
