- 3:56Speaker 2: us to break down your word. Father, Help us, Father God,
- 4:00Speaker 2: to feast upon the bread of life today. Father, help
- 4:04Speaker 2: us understand and get insight in this chapter today that
- 4:09Speaker 2: we can apply and hide in our own hearts, and
- 4:14Speaker 2: we can also share with others. Father, we asked his
- 4:18Speaker 2: Father in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen and Amen,
- 4:26Speaker 2: all right. Romans chapter fifteen. It's a little background. Romans
- 4:29Speaker 2: Chapter fourteen. It tells us to not push our convictions
- 4:35Speaker 2: on other people. You may be convicted about a certain thing,
- 4:41Speaker 2: it doesn't necessarily mean that you should try to push
- 4:46Speaker 2: that conviction on others. And I also gave an example
- 4:51Speaker 2: of the first church that I joined as a young Christian,
- 4:57Speaker 2: how they were legalistic in very controlling and manipuitive. And
- 5:03Speaker 2: you can find that in the churches today. And I
- 5:07Speaker 2: put out a warning you know, to watch out for
- 5:11Speaker 2: that don't let anyone exercise any type of control or
- 5:17Speaker 2: ungodly authority over you. Because God gives us freedom to
- 5:22Speaker 2: choose right. Even though he is a lord, we can
- 5:27Speaker 2: choose whether or not we submit to that lordship. To
- 5:31Speaker 2: his lordship, he doesn't force us to get saved. He
- 5:34Speaker 2: doesn't force us to do anything. Controlled is as witchcraft,
- 5:40Speaker 2: Manipulation is as witchcraft. So you don't want to be
- 5:44Speaker 2: under that spirit. You'll never grow and you'll be miserable,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and you want experience the joy and growth that the
- 5:51Speaker 2: Lord really wants us to experience. For example, in our
- 5:59Speaker 2: old church, our pastor told everyone not to have a TV. Now,
- 6:04Speaker 2: of course, there's a lot of benefits to not having
- 6:07Speaker 2: a TV, I would admit, But if it's not your conviction,
- 6:12Speaker 2: you're just gonna go to your neighbor's house and watch TV. Right,
- 6:16Speaker 2: if the Lord did not convict you about it, Now,
- 6:19Speaker 2: if your pastor got rid of it, and as an example,
- 6:25Speaker 2: he choose to live a more discipline life without it,
- 6:28Speaker 2: and then that inspires you to do so, that's different
- 6:31Speaker 2: man for him to push his conviction. And that's the
- 6:36Speaker 2: type of situation that I was in and that I've learned.
- 6:42Speaker 2: And I pray that you know, the people that I'm
- 6:50Speaker 2: blessed out or to minister to can really have an
- 6:54Speaker 2: understanding in that area. So we're gonna we're still in
- 6:58Speaker 2: that same vein here in tel Chapter fifteen. But Paul
- 7:03Speaker 2: is encouraging us through the Holy Spirit in this chapter
- 7:07Speaker 2: to be patient and not live for ourselves. So let's
- 7:13Speaker 2: dive into it. In Verse one, it says, we, then,
- 7:17Speaker 2: who are strong, are to bear with the scruples of
- 7:22Speaker 2: the week, and not to please ourselves. Paul is reminding
- 7:28Speaker 2: us that true strength and Christ is shown not by
- 7:33Speaker 2: insisting in our own way, but by being patient with
- 7:37Speaker 2: those weaker in the faith. You see, love seeks to
- 7:41Speaker 2: build up others. Love seeks to build up other people.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Now this versus a gut check. Am I living for myself?
- 7:54Speaker 2: Or am I patient with those who might be who
- 7:58Speaker 2: might not be as strong spiritually? You see, in the
- 8:03Speaker 2: Kingdom's strength is measured and how much we can carry
- 8:11Speaker 2: somebody else, Right, how much we can care for others,
- 8:15Speaker 2: not just how heavy we can flex for ourselves.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:19Speaker 2: We're not supposed to just be haughty and prideful and
- 8:23Speaker 2: lifted up. We're supposed to have a heart for our
- 8:27Speaker 2: brothers and our sisters who are coming behind us. Verse two.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Let each of us please his neighbor for his good
- 8:40Speaker 2: leading to edification. The focus is on building up others.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Pleasing others is not about compromise, but about encouraging them
- 8:55Speaker 2: in their walk with God. It's about encouragement. Now fourteen
- 9:00Speaker 2: warned us against people pleasing, but there is a balance there.
- 9:07Speaker 2: There's an element of Okay, I'm not going to offend
- 9:11Speaker 2: my brother. I'm not going to offend their conscience by
- 9:15Speaker 2: my liberty. Right, that's an act of love. It's about
- 9:22Speaker 2: building a legacy, and every encounter is a choice to
- 9:31Speaker 2: strengthen someone's faith. Now the question is to myself, did
- 9:39Speaker 2: I leave that person better than I found him? Is
- 9:45Speaker 2: that person stronger after we've had our encounter, or is
- 9:52Speaker 2: the person struggling in their faith? That should be a
- 9:57Speaker 2: question that we ask ourselves on the daily when we
- 10:01Speaker 2: interact with people Verse three through four. For even Christ
- 10:09Speaker 2: did not please himself. But as it is written, the
- 10:15Speaker 2: reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me. For
- 10:21Speaker 2: whatever thing we're written before, were written for our learning,
- 10:28Speaker 2: that we, through the patience and comfort of the scripture,
- 10:33Speaker 2: might have hope. Christ himself bore the insults of others,
- 10:41Speaker 2: showing us the ultimate example of selfishness. You See, the
- 10:48Speaker 2: scripture gives us encourage. The scripture tells us to endure.
- 10:53Speaker 2: It gives us endurance and encouragement, grounding us in our whole. Now,
- 11:01Speaker 2: Jesus itself took some hits for us. I can't complain
- 11:06Speaker 2: when I'm asked to be patient or sacrificial for someone else. See,
- 11:14Speaker 2: the Bible isn't just about history. It's fuel for today's grind. Amen.
- 11:24Speaker 2: The Bible gives us strength. The Bible gives us the
- 11:28Speaker 2: fuel to grind, to live this out. Five and six. Now,
- 11:37Speaker 2: may the God of patience and comfort grant you to
- 11:43Speaker 2: be like minded towards one another. According to Christ Jesus,
- 11:49Speaker 2: that you made with one mind in one mouth. Glorify
- 11:55Speaker 2: the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Now
- 12:02Speaker 2: we're talking about unity in the body of Christ. Unity
- 12:06Speaker 2: is a supernatural gift. You see, God wants to bring
- 12:12Speaker 2: us together to glorify Him. When we walk in harmony.
- 12:18Speaker 2: We glorify God when there's harmony in the body. Now,
- 12:27Speaker 2: this is the real kingdom vibe oneness. We argue, we
- 12:33Speaker 2: wrestle with differences, but at the end of the day
- 12:38Speaker 2: we're called to be on one page. Lifting up the
- 12:45Speaker 2: name of Jesus. Amen. Now, remember unity is not the
- 12:52Speaker 2: same as uniformity. We're not supposed to make clones of ourselves.
- 13:00Speaker 2: But we should be united when it comes to our worship.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Our worship should look the same. When it comes to
- 13:09Speaker 2: the basic principles of the Gospel, these are the things
- 13:15Speaker 2: we cannot compromise on. That I'm talking about the deity
- 13:18Speaker 2: of Christ. Right, these are essentials. We must believe in
- 13:24Speaker 2: the deity of Christ, that Jesus is God, the Son
- 13:28Speaker 2: of God, that he is a part of the Godhead.
- 13:32Speaker 2: We must believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
- 13:39Speaker 2: We must believe in the essentials. The shed blood of
- 13:43Speaker 2: Christ is able to remove our sins, to wash our
- 13:47Speaker 2: sins away. Right, And so these are the essentials. This
- 13:54Speaker 2: is where there's no wiggle room. But when it comes
- 13:58Speaker 2: to the minor things, in the minor personal convictions, we
- 14:03Speaker 2: can be diverse in those things. Romans fifteen, verse seven.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Therefore received one another, just as Christ also received us
- 14:15Speaker 2: to the glory of God. As Christ has embraced us
- 14:19Speaker 2: in our weaknesses and our sins, we are to embrace
- 14:25Speaker 2: others in the same manner, the same heart. Now it's wild,
- 14:31Speaker 2: how quick. We can cut people off, yet Jesus still
- 14:34Speaker 2: receives every one of us every day. That is the motto.
- 14:44Speaker 2: That's grace and action. Now you might be thinking, okay,
- 14:54Speaker 2: should I just love people who are living a life
- 14:57Speaker 2: of compromise and who are living a life of sin.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Let's say you have a friend that is living in
- 15:05Speaker 2: sexual immorality. Should we just receive them and love on them. No,
- 15:09Speaker 2: we are supposed to real love will confront them. And
- 15:14Speaker 2: Paul tells us in Corinthians that if a brother is
- 15:19Speaker 2: caught up in an act of adultery, we are to
- 15:21Speaker 2: throw them out of the church right, that is church discipline,
- 15:27Speaker 2: and turn them over to Satan, so that they may learn,
- 15:30Speaker 2: so their body can be destroyed and their spirit can
- 15:34Speaker 2: be saved. In other words, there is a place to
- 15:39Speaker 2: where we have to confront sin and not compromise with
- 15:43Speaker 2: it and deal with it. That is the most loving
- 15:46Speaker 2: thing you can do. And sit there and not say
- 15:51Speaker 2: nothing and allow them to go to hell, right because
- 15:55Speaker 2: we didn't take a stand. Word of God is about balance.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Now verse eight through nine. Now I say that Jesus
- 16:10Speaker 2: Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the
- 16:17Speaker 2: truth of God to confirm the promises made to the fathers,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and that the gentiles might glorify God for his mercy.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Now Christ came first to fulfill the promises to Israel,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and through that opened the door of mercy to the Gentiles.
- 16:46Speaker 2: So God is a god of promise. He promised Israel
- 16:53Speaker 2: that they shall receive their Messiah, their Messiah shall come.
- 16:59Speaker 2: But Israel chose to reject the Messiah. Presently the God
- 17:04Speaker 2: is faithful on his promise. Now this is the global
- 17:11Speaker 2: explosion of the Gospel. Jesus wasn't just for one people.
- 17:18Speaker 2: He's for all the nations, all tribes, in all tongues.
- 17:25Speaker 2: The Gospel has gone out to all of the world.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Verse thirteen. Now may the God of Hope fill you
- 17:34Speaker 2: with all joy and peace in believing that you may
- 17:39Speaker 2: abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hope,
- 17:46Speaker 2: joy and peace, Now they flow directly from God through
- 17:52Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit. It's not manufactured, it's given. Hope is
- 18:00Speaker 2: a Kingdom resource. It's not hype. It's Holy Spirit powered.
- 18:09Speaker 2: That's what carries us. When we grind, and the grind
- 18:15Speaker 2: gets a little heavy, we gotta hold on to the
- 18:19Speaker 2: hope that God has given us and what God has
- 18:23Speaker 2: blessed us with. Now verse thirty through thirty two. Now
- 18:29Speaker 2: I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and
- 18:34Speaker 2: through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together
- 18:39Speaker 2: with me in prayers to God for me. Amen. Now
- 18:53Speaker 2: Paul knew the power of prayer. If Paul was a
- 19:01Speaker 2: praying man, and I would say this, if you don't
- 19:06Speaker 2: know how to pray, you don't know how to walk
- 19:10Speaker 2: with the Lord. If you don't know how to pray,
- 19:15Speaker 2: you don't know how to lead people. How can you
- 19:18Speaker 2: lead people that you're not praying for. I've had to
- 19:22Speaker 2: confront myself even in my own ministry. How can I lead,
- 19:27Speaker 2: be an example, encourage people, disciple people if I don't
- 19:32Speaker 2: pray for them. If you're not praying for your wife
- 19:35Speaker 2: or your children, if you're not praying for your husband,
- 19:40Speaker 2: then how can you truly say that you love them?
- 19:44Speaker 2: How can you truly say that you are a blessing
- 19:48Speaker 2: in their life if you're just living in life centered
- 19:54Speaker 2: around self. Right. But Paul, he invited the church ch
- 20:01Speaker 2: into his own struggles, asking them to labor with him
- 20:05Speaker 2: in prayer. Now that's humility. Paul was not afraid to
- 20:12Speaker 2: say I need your prayers today. I need you praying
- 20:16Speaker 2: for me. Real leaders know they cannot do this alone.
- 20:22Speaker 2: They cannot do this by themselves. Amen, hallelujah. All right,
- 20:34Speaker 2: I think this is a great time to hit you
- 20:39Speaker 2: with a music break. So let's let me see what
- 20:48Speaker 2: do I got on deck here? Let me hit you
- 20:52Speaker 2: with some missile. We'll be right back.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 4: The Bible says that the heart is deceitfully with it
- 20:59Speaker 4: above all things.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Who can know? So if you can't know yours, hold
- 21:02Speaker 3: you no money.
- 21:03Speaker 4: This drew up on the West where they bang that
- 21:05Speaker 4: we can rop red or blue and get flames at
- 21:07Speaker 4: a clap because only that snap back and gang hat
- 21:10Speaker 4: it's wax because cats don't even bang or claim that.
- 21:12Speaker 3: In fact, say you don't bang. They won't take that.
- 21:15Speaker 4: So you got to catch that fade over your brains
- 21:17Speaker 4: hat either.
- 21:17Speaker 3: That or take it off. And I don't play that.
- 21:19Speaker 4: What I look like leaving the turf for people in
- 21:22Speaker 4: church to do the same crap. You say, I bang
- 21:24Speaker 4: if I dress like Snoop. But I'm sure al Capone
- 21:26Speaker 4: was dressed like you.
- 21:28Speaker 3: So how we gonna do this? We're gonna play stupid
- 21:30Speaker 3: and act like Jesus.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Same dressed like Judas if it ain't seeing its preference,
- 21:34Speaker 4: And who are you to rebuke what you.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Don't mess with?
- 21:36Speaker 4: If he blessed it, if he died so that we
- 21:38Speaker 4: can be made free. Don't check the outfit, check the
- 21:41Speaker 4: e kg homey, no suit, no type for the guy.
- 21:44Speaker 4: I could love him most high and mighty, denimit.
- 21:46Speaker 3: A fresh white teeth.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Different just might be, but I'm still save this just
- 21:50Speaker 4: what it looks like.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Gonna meet y'all.
- 21:52Speaker 2: It ain't a gang ima.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Y'all's raised the Wade Kingdom, same game, but I banged
- 21:56Speaker 3: y'all's slang different.
- 21:58Speaker 2: This is how I speak.
- 21:59Speaker 3: I am said.
- 22:00Speaker 5: It's just what it like in the West too, and
- 22:02Speaker 5: that's true. See where I'm from. They love to press
- 22:04Speaker 5: you like fresh jewice. My part of the sound. These youngsters,
- 22:06Speaker 5: let Louis take refuse down on my side.
- 22:08Speaker 3: They know your name, but.
- 22:09Speaker 6: They will still using aliens to address you.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And that's cool.
- 22:11Speaker 5: That's what I expect from those who bang what I
- 22:13Speaker 5: don't expect this people in the church to do the
- 22:15Speaker 5: same nowadays, denomination, it's synonymous with gang and we post
- 22:19Speaker 5: the worship Jesus name, criticize.
- 22:21Speaker 3: It for your finger.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Almost regularly you get upset with Christian rappers with your
- 22:24Speaker 5: secular beats and now your hyper vent the late and
- 22:26Speaker 5: Slandern and Hayten. Whole time you did it all through
- 22:29Speaker 5: a secular tweet. It's hard to see that social media
- 22:31Speaker 5: as a secular thing when you don't think that you're
- 22:33Speaker 5: a fallible, molecular big Okay.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna stop playing.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Here's what I'm saying. We ain't the verbal people that
- 22:38Speaker 3: were good.
- 22:39Speaker 4: At portraying no suit, no tie for the guy you
- 22:42Speaker 4: could let them most high and might then admit a
- 22:44Speaker 4: fresh white teeth. Different just might be, but I'm still
- 22:47Speaker 4: saying this just what it looks like gonna meet. It
- 22:50Speaker 4: ain't a gang, Ima, y'all've raised different way, kingdom, same gang,
- 22:53Speaker 4: but I'm banged different.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I'm slang different.
- 22:55Speaker 2: But this how I speak.
- 22:56Speaker 3: I am saying this just didn't look like weak.
- 23:07Speaker 6: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 23:10Speaker 6: is the hiss hop radio show.
- 23:18Speaker 2: All right, we are back. That is Bizile and our
- 23:22Speaker 2: brother Y're both of them have been out to club
- 23:28Speaker 2: his hot Las Vegas talking about banging up in the church.
- 23:33Speaker 2: This is what it looks like on me, that's some
- 23:36Speaker 2: pretty good points that they made in that song, and
- 23:41Speaker 2: it actually goes with these chapters about pushing your own
- 23:46Speaker 2: conviction on somebody else. Amen, you may want to dress
- 23:53Speaker 2: one way, it doesn't mean you have the right to
- 23:56Speaker 2: judge someone else who doesn't. That's necessarily want to dress
- 24:01Speaker 2: the way you do. So we're tracking through Romans Romans
- 24:07Speaker 2: chapter fifteen. We're almost done with this book, and I
- 24:14Speaker 2: just want to say, hey, thank y'all for tracking with us.
- 24:18Speaker 2: We already completed the Book of Revelation. You can check

- 25:00Speaker 2: your partner that you're gonna pray with, a partner that
- 25:03Speaker 2: can help you stay accountable in your walk with the Lord.
- 25:09Speaker 2: We're supposed to be discipling others. We're supposed to have
- 25:12Speaker 2: someone port in us. Right, we're supposed to have a
- 25:15Speaker 2: pall that we can go get poured into, and we're
- 25:18Speaker 2: supposed to have a Timothy someone who we're pouring into
- 25:22Speaker 2: as well. There's supposed to be a healthy flow. So

- 26:47Speaker 2: But all right, y'all, time for the trivia. The Christian
- 26:51Speaker 2: hip hop artists that just hit the billboards charts with
- 26:58Speaker 2: their latest single Stay Tuned. Who is this artist? The

- 27:11Speaker 2: the billboards. I'll give you the answer in the live

- 29:51Speaker 2: to close out today's podcast. Now Romans chapter fifteen, Verse
- 30:00Speaker 2: by verse it tells us not to live for ourselves.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Verse thirty, Paul says, I urge you, brothers and sisters,
- 30:18Speaker 2: by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of
- 30:22Speaker 2: the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying
- 30:26Speaker 2: to God for me. Pray that I'm may be kept
- 30:30Speaker 2: safe from the unbelievers in Judah, and that the contribution
- 30:38Speaker 2: I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the
- 30:43Speaker 2: Lord's people there, so that I may come to you
- 30:47Speaker 2: with joy by God's grace, and in your company be refreshed.
- 30:56Speaker 2: The God of Peace be with you all. I love
- 31:02Speaker 2: the fact that Paul is transparent, and Paul says, join
- 31:08Speaker 2: me in my struggle, pray for me his challenges. Paul
- 31:12Speaker 2: received a lot of challenges in Jerusalem, and of course
- 31:17Speaker 2: he knew that this trip he would face some things
- 31:24Speaker 2: by the unbelievers. Now, remember the Jewish unbelievers followed Paul
- 31:30Speaker 2: and persecuted him. Whatever you're facing today, whatever your challenge
- 31:38Speaker 2: may be today, yes we can pray about it on
- 31:43Speaker 2: our own, but there's power in agreement. There is power
- 31:49Speaker 2: in agreement. In my prayer request. In my agreement with
- 31:54Speaker 2: you today is financial battles that I've been facing for
- 32:06Speaker 2: a while now. As I mentioned before, my partner did
- 32:18Speaker 2: some shady things financially when I had the building, and
- 32:25Speaker 2: I had to work a lot of overtime which caused
- 32:27Speaker 2: me to owe a lot in taxes. And by the
- 32:38Speaker 2: grace of God, God has definitely been working with me
- 32:41Speaker 2: in that and I praise God for that. But yeah,
- 32:46Speaker 2: I still want your prayers. I still want y'all have
- 32:50Speaker 2: to pray for me because we are looking for another
- 32:55Speaker 2: building to relaunch and reopen Club His House. But that's
- 33:02Speaker 2: gonna take finances, that's going to take sacrifice, that's gonna
- 33:08Speaker 2: take support from the community. Community has to see the vision.
- 33:14Speaker 2: They have to embrace the vision. They have to understand
- 33:18Speaker 2: the vision, and they have to act on it. Make
- 33:24Speaker 2: this vision your own. Think about it. If we don't
- 33:28Speaker 2: give our youth and our young adults a place to go,
- 33:33Speaker 2: if we don't give them something to do. And I'm
- 33:38Speaker 2: talking about outside of church, because we know a lot
- 33:49Speaker 2: of our youth, a lot of our young people. Initially
- 33:55Speaker 2: they might not want to come to church. A lot
- 33:58Speaker 2: of are youth you have walked away from church. Now
- 34:05Speaker 2: there is revival going on, there's a lot of them
- 34:08Speaker 2: coming back. Praise be to the Lord. But I'm saying,
- 34:13Speaker 2: when it comes to night life, when it comes to
- 34:15Speaker 2: when they're bored, or when you want to go out
- 34:17Speaker 2: and socialize and have fun, is there a place in
- 34:23Speaker 2: our community where they can have a positive experience influenced
- 34:28Speaker 2: by the Word of God, influenced by integrity and the
- 34:35Speaker 2: principles and the values of the Word, and keep them
- 34:39Speaker 2: out of trouble and us. All we're asking is your
- 34:43Speaker 2: support to get behind it, to come out to the shows,
- 34:50Speaker 2: to don't five dollars a month, right, you can't even
- 34:56Speaker 2: buy a hamburger for five dollars anymore. It's all tax deductible.
- 35:04Speaker 2: You can write it off on your taxes. And you
- 35:10Speaker 2: are fulfilling scripture. You're loving in other people. You're pointing
- 35:16Speaker 2: to others. So I love it. I love the model
- 35:23Speaker 2: of Paul Paul and saying, hey, I struggle, join me
- 35:28Speaker 2: in my struggles and join me in prayer. So I'm
- 35:33Speaker 2: asking for your prayers. Hey man, in this I'm asking
- 35:37Speaker 2: you to join me in this vision, join me in
- 35:42Speaker 2: this struggle. All right, family, Well that's chapter fifteen. Next
- 35:49Speaker 2: episode we will finish strong with Romans chapter sixteen. Until then,
- 35:55Speaker 2: keep pressing towards perfection, keep your accountability partner close, and
- 36:03Speaker 2: keep Jesus first in everything. Amen. They remember it's not
- 36:14Speaker 2: about us. We're all about to Christ in us. God
- 36:19Speaker 2: bless you. Are listening to.
- 36:24Speaker 6: The light of Las Vegas. This is the Hiss Hop
- 36:28Speaker 6: Radio Show.
