- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with iHeartRadio. Hi, everybody.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is Trista and Deanna. We are here for the
- 0:10Speaker 2: most dramatic dance floor ever recap of Dancing with the
- 0:13Speaker 2: Stars last night. And I am still hooked.
- 0:16Speaker 1: What about you? I am.
- 0:20Speaker 3: What?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Oh, I'm like, wait. I'm like, no, you're not. I know.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Let me give you my quick synopsis. Yeah. This is crazy.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Typically, as a viewer, this is where I kind of
- 0:31Speaker 3: start to fall off shows by like episode three or
- 0:34Speaker 3: four because I get a little bored. Now, I will
- 0:37Speaker 3: say that the dancing is better and I was really
- 0:40Speaker 3: glad to see some higher scores.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Trista, I was like, finally, okay, give these people what
- 0:43Speaker 1: they deserve.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But I also just realized how much I am not.
- 0:50Speaker 3: a judge on Dancing with the Stars because every time
- 0:52Speaker 3: I thought that someone.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Did terrible, they were like, you were amazing. And I
- 0:56Speaker 1: was like, clearly I have no idea what I'm doing.
- 0:58Speaker 3: So it's a good thing I sit on this side
- 1:00Speaker 3: of the camera and not on that side because clearly
- 1:03Speaker 3: I am lost.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I'm lost. Yeah. No.
- 1:06Speaker 2: That takes years and years and years and years of
- 1:09Speaker 2: dance experience. So We're not going to consider ourselves judges.
- 1:13Speaker 2: We're just going to watch for the fun of it,
- 1:16Speaker 2: you know? Absolutely.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. And I love that
- 1:19Speaker 1: we get to see each other every morning after. Me too.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Me too.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You know what is so funny is I can pick
- 1:24Speaker 3: out really great dancing. Like, that's easy to see. It's
- 1:27Speaker 3: the ones who I think are, like, treading water. And
- 1:30Speaker 3: I know we'll get there. But some, you know, Tyler's dancing,
- 1:34Speaker 3: you know, some of the other dancers where I'm kind
- 1:36Speaker 3: of like, ah.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Guillermo.
- 1:39Speaker 1: You know, I'm like, I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But I can pick out really good dancing. Right.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Of course.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And it's not necessarily all about the dancing either.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yes, it's dancing with the stars, but I feel like
- 1:49Speaker 2: it's also getting to know the stars and seeing how
- 1:54Speaker 2: they can challenge themselves and that they're all like us,
- 1:59Speaker 2: that we can relate to them because if they have
- 2:01Speaker 2: a challenge like this, like how do they deal with it?
- 2:04Speaker 1: And how do they deal with.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Dancing intimately with someone that they just met, you know,
- 2:09Speaker 2: and like that kind of stuff. Like I love also
- 2:13Speaker 2: watching the development of their story as well. Not just,
- 2:19Speaker 2: not just the dancing, even though I love the dancing.
- 2:22Speaker 2: So this week it was Yacht Rock, which I love.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But they did a Yacht Rock week. Like, how cute
- 2:28Speaker 2: is that?
- 2:29Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a Yacht Rock band?
- 2:31Speaker 3: Like in person?
- 2:32Speaker 1: I have not. No. It's so fun.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Have you?
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's so fun. Oh my gosh.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I love live music. I do not enjoy to go
- 2:37Speaker 3: to concerts, but I really love live music. You don't
- 2:40Speaker 3: like concerts?
- 2:41Speaker 1: I know, I don't.
- 2:42Speaker 3: And I'm really thankful the kids are not like, oh
- 2:44Speaker 3: my God, Bob, let's go see Sabrina Carpenter. It's like
- 2:46Speaker 3: my worst nightmare to go to a packed stadium and
- 2:49Speaker 3: watch a concert.
- 2:50Speaker 1: But wait, wait, who's your favorite artist? I can't. Like
- 2:54Speaker 1: all the time.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I am really terrible at favorites. I can't pick a
- 2:57Speaker 3: favorite food. I can't pick a favorite song.
- 2:59Speaker 1: But there is this song that I'm really into.
- 3:02Speaker 2: No, no, it's not about songs. It's about the person.
- 3:06Speaker 2: So I just went to Garth Brooks. Do you like
- 3:09Speaker 2: Garth Brooks?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Trista. I am from Georgia. I literally was just going
- 3:14Speaker 1: to say that. Okay.
- 3:15Speaker 2: So I just went to his concert in Denver and
- 3:19Speaker 2: it was the best concert I'd ever been to because
- 3:22Speaker 2: he's so invested in his people. He's so freaking talented
- 3:26Speaker 2: and you know all the songs. You would like a
- 3:29Speaker 2: concert like that.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah. It's not that I don't like it.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I think it's the You know, when you get into
- 3:34Speaker 3: that big venue, I get into a lot of anxiety,
- 3:37Speaker 3: like all the people, how am I going to get out?
- 3:38Speaker 1: What's the escape route? You know what I mean? And
- 3:41Speaker 1: I'm not spending, you know, a lot of money.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I am very careful what I spend thousands of dollars on.
- 3:48Speaker 3: And to sit front row, which is what I would
- 3:50Speaker 3: actually enjoy, that's.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Where I would like to be.
- 3:54Speaker 3: But I'm only paying for the $ 300 tickets, which are
- 3:56Speaker 3: in the nosebleed section.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And I don't want to do that. I don't want
- 4:00Speaker 1: to do that. I get it. And I'm spoiled. I'm spoiled.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:04Speaker 1: We are spoiled, especially being with iHeart, I feel like.
- 4:07Speaker 3: But the yacht rock bands are so fun. I would
- 4:11Speaker 3: much prefer like dive bars or like when I'm traveling
- 4:15Speaker 3: with my pilots, a lot of times we'll just like
- 4:18Speaker 3: pop into a bar and listen to live music.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Now that's my jam. Totally. That I love. I love it.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You need to go move to Nashville. Not that you're
- 4:26Speaker 1: going to... I lived there for five years. I did
- 4:30Speaker 1: live there for five years. I lived the best five
- 4:32Speaker 1: years of my life. Yes. So good. All right.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So we have Yacht Rock, and they made a brand
- 4:39Speaker 2: new record last week.
- 4:41Speaker 1: This is huge.
- 4:43Speaker 2: These are huge numbers for television today. I think one
- 4:47Speaker 2: of the stars said... Actually, it was Tyler. He said
- 4:49Speaker 2: it was the the best television show in America. And
- 4:53Speaker 2: I was like, that's amazing. Like Julian was like, Oh, um,
- 4:59Speaker 2: but I think with their numbers, they're, they're kicking butt
- 5:03Speaker 2: this year, which is really cool.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Um, okay.
- 5:06Speaker 2: So we started off the, well, actually I have to
- 5:09Speaker 2: start not even getting into the dancers yet, but we
- 5:12Speaker 2: had some familiar faces, um, especially in Bachelor Nation, in
- 5:17Speaker 2: the ballroom, including Hannah Brown, who, ah, she just looks
- 5:21Speaker 2: so gorgeous, as per usual. And Rachel, and I've already
- 5:26Speaker 2: always said her name wrong, Kirkconnell or Kirkconnell?
- 5:29Speaker 1: I think it's Kirkconnell. Okay, thank you. Kirkconnell.
- 5:32Speaker 2: And she's from Matt James' season, of course. She looks stunning.
- 5:35Speaker 2: She's beautiful.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Stunning.
- 5:39Speaker 2: And I love that she did a little shout-out on
- 5:41Speaker 2: the Dancing with the Stars Instagram page with, Tyler's fiance
- 5:45Speaker 2: and she was like I'm his BFF and I was
- 5:48Speaker 2: like that's really cute.
- 5:49Speaker 3: I think that's what they both got the best end
- 5:52Speaker 3: of that breakup from Matt James as they got each
- 5:54Speaker 3: other their friendship together like that's pretty.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Cool totally yeah love that love seeing that says a
- 5:59Speaker 2: lot too so we yeah Uh-huh. We don't need to
- 6:04Speaker 2: go there because I'm sure we would talk forever about it. Okay.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So we started off the show with Amber, Glenn, and Pasha.
- 6:10Speaker 2: And as I've said in past episodes for this podcast,
- 6:18Speaker 2: there are people on the internet who are like, she's
- 6:21Speaker 2: going to win. She's the figure skater. She's got the skills,
- 6:25Speaker 2: the talent. She can dance. She's got musicality, all of
- 6:28Speaker 2: those things. And up till last night, I wasn't really sold. Like, yes,
- 6:34Speaker 2: I felt like she had everything as the foundation and
- 6:38Speaker 2: maybe we would see it at some point.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Last night, she showed it to us in spades. Like
- 6:44Speaker 1: she came out Amazing.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I was blown away by this performance. Her feet looked gorgeous.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Like I've told you, like pointed, like I feel like
- 6:56Speaker 2: with figure skaters or skaters, they're used to their feet
- 7:00Speaker 2: being flat and not having to worry about their feet.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I felt like she was very intentional about her foot
- 7:06Speaker 2: placement and her foot, um, movement and she was gorgeous.
- 7:12Speaker 2: We do have to point out that as Heather pointed
- 7:15Speaker 2: out to us last night in our group text, the
- 7:18Speaker 2: singer didn't start singing this song until like eight counts late.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And for someone who's competing, I mean, obviously she's competed
- 7:31Speaker 2: with music prior, you know, in her career. So she's
- 7:37Speaker 2: used to music. But gosh, you throw in, you're on
- 7:40Speaker 2: a live show. You have all these eyeballs looking at you.
- 7:45Speaker 2: You only have like two minutes to do your dance.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And I'm sure she's nervous, even though she didn't look nervous.
- 7:51Speaker 2: And the song, it doesn't sound like how you have
- 7:55Speaker 2: rehearsed it for the entire past week.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It would have thrown me off. Completely.
- 7:59Speaker 2: And it didn't throw them off at all. Like when
- 8:02Speaker 2: Heather pointed that out, I was like, I did not
- 8:05Speaker 2: notice at all because they didn't, they didn't allow us
- 8:09Speaker 2: to notice. They weren't worried about it, so I wasn't
- 8:12Speaker 2: worried about it. She blew me away last night.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah. You know what?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Last night was the first night that I thought she
- 8:18Speaker 3: did not look like an ice skater.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 8:21Speaker 3: The dancing is phenomenal. I think that that is like,
- 8:24Speaker 3: she is a pro. She is so good.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm not getting that attachment to her. And Whatever. These
- 8:31Speaker 1: people become my friends in my own mind, Trista.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I get very attached to people on shows that I
- 8:37Speaker 3: get invested in.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And I don't feel an attachment to her. You know
- 8:42Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 8:43Speaker 3: And maybe it's because I have some nostalgia with some
- 8:45Speaker 3: of the other people who are on the show. They
- 8:47Speaker 3: have a great connection, her and her pro. And the
- 8:50Speaker 3: dancing is phenomenal. I'm not getting that connection as a
- 8:54Speaker 3: viewer in the audience. Yeah.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I feel like it's coming. I feel like we'll get there. Um,
- 9:00Speaker 2: but I do, I do hear that. And I wasn't
- 9:03Speaker 2: feeling that either. I also have that with another pro
- 9:06Speaker 2: that I'll talk about later, but, um, I will say
- 9:09Speaker 2: she got the first eights of the season.
- 9:11Speaker 1: She got all eights.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I think she was the high score last night. Um,
- 9:15Speaker 2: and I thought she deserved it. The choreography was beautiful.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Their connection was beautiful. I loved this routine.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I loved it too.
- 9:24Speaker 3: And you heard Derek Hough. He was like, the ice
- 9:26Speaker 3: queen does it again. Like I love, now we're just getting,
- 9:29Speaker 3: we're getting more of the show.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Like that I will give to you. I like that.
- 9:34Speaker 3: We're getting more personality and more time from the judges.
- 9:36Speaker 3: The dancers, we're seeing more. I love that we're getting
- 9:39Speaker 3: better scores. I love that because there were some dances
- 9:42Speaker 3: from episode one and two that I just thought they
- 9:44Speaker 3: needed better scores. So I'm just happy to see more
- 9:47Speaker 3: of like, I guess a competition.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah. I thought, I It was just beautiful.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And I feel like also what I love to see
- 9:56Speaker 2: is people taking the notes of the judges and actually
- 9:59Speaker 2: work on the things that they're telling them to work on.
- 10:02Speaker 2: And I felt like you could tell that she's growing.
- 10:06Speaker 1: She's listening. She's growing. And I love the progression of
- 10:10Speaker 1: a dancer on this show. She's phenomenal. Phenomenal.
- 10:12Speaker 3: She got a 24 out of 30, and she was great, great, great.
- 10:17Speaker 3: So someone that I am... emotionally connected to was our
- 10:23Speaker 3: next group.
- 10:23Speaker 1: And that was Julia Stiles and Ezra. I just like,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I can't help it.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I want her to go so far because I just
- 10:29Speaker 3: have that connection from like the 2000s, like watching her
- 10:32Speaker 3: on the big screen. And I, what I love, what
- 10:37Speaker 3: I am loving about this show is that we are
- 10:40Speaker 3: getting to see the people that we watch as actors
- 10:44Speaker 3: and actresses. We get to, we get to see them
- 10:46Speaker 3: in a different light. And I love that Julia Stiles
- 10:49Speaker 3: pointed that out that like, Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So I actually have a very different opinion of her dance.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I didn't watch like her movies. I don't know that
- 11:18Speaker 2: I've ever seen.
- 11:19Speaker 3: What?
- 11:19Speaker 1: We have to have a sleepover. We have to have
- 11:22Speaker 1: a sleepover.
- 11:23Speaker 3: When she's in that dance movie and she's all like,
- 11:25Speaker 3: she's so like white, but she's like trying to be
- 11:28Speaker 3: thug and she's not.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Like it's, I love it. Yeah, I haven't seen it. Trista,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I'm like so shocked right now.
- 11:36Speaker 2: So I'm really bad at watching like really popular movies
- 11:40Speaker 2: when they first come out. And then I watch them
- 11:42Speaker 2: like centuries later, or not centuries.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Decades later. You are not from the 1930s, Trista. I
- 11:50Speaker 1: feel like I am. Stop it.
- 11:55Speaker 3: You are young and beautiful and like a spry chicken.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank you.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So I'm not as connected to her.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Okay. Right.
- 12:05Speaker 2: And, and for me, it's more about the connection with Ezra,
- 12:10Speaker 2: which she has so much of, they have a beautiful
- 12:13Speaker 2: connection and I love Ezra. From the dancing perspective, I
- 12:19Speaker 2: just felt like last night it was very rushed. I
- 12:21Speaker 2: felt like there was so much pushed into the routine
- 12:26Speaker 2: that she was like kind of getting messed up thinking
- 12:30Speaker 2: about all the moves. Like it wasn't smooth. It was
- 12:35Speaker 2: not my favorite dance. It just didn't shine for me
- 12:38Speaker 2: because I felt like I could feel her in her head.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Wow, that's so interesting because...
- 12:45Speaker 1: here we are, right? We've watched the same show, but
- 12:47Speaker 1: we have two polar opposite. Totally.
- 12:49Speaker 3: So like for me, because I see, and I knew
- 12:51Speaker 3: her from when I, you know, from shows when I
- 12:53Speaker 3: was younger and I see the connection between her and Ezra,
- 12:57Speaker 3: like that sells for me.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I'm like, oh yeah, I could get on board with her.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I'm team Julia. You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I, well, yeah, I, it wasn't my favorite
- 13:07Speaker 2: and actually she got Two sixes and one seven. So
- 13:10Speaker 2: she got her first seven. So she was excited about that.
- 13:13Speaker 2: But you remember in the very beginning when we first
- 13:16Speaker 2: started this podcast, I said, I feel like sometimes they
- 13:19Speaker 2: give certain people certain scores because they want to keep
- 13:23Speaker 2: them around longer.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:25Speaker 2: This is just my opinion. I don't know that this
- 13:29Speaker 2: is truthful. And I don't know legally if they're allowed
- 13:34Speaker 2: to even do that. But I feel like the judges
- 13:36Speaker 2: want her on longer or the powers that be want
- 13:39Speaker 2: her on longer because of her popularity. So they're giving
- 13:43Speaker 2: her a little bone. Like, here you go.
- 13:46Speaker 1: It wasn't the best dance, but we're going to give
- 13:48Speaker 1: you a seven. Do you know what I mean? Fine
- 13:50Speaker 1: by me.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Clearly it's working because the numbers were good and I
- 13:53Speaker 3: like her and I'm glad she's staying. So yeah, you know,
- 13:56Speaker 3: I'm not sure either. I believe that that's a legal thing.
- 13:58Speaker 3: I'm not sure that they can do that because there's
- 14:00Speaker 3: money involved, like they're getting paid to be there. So
- 14:02Speaker 3: I think that the The rules and the guidelines are
- 14:04Speaker 3: very strict when it comes to that.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:07Speaker 3: But you could be right. But either way, I'm okay
- 14:09Speaker 3: with it. I am glad that she's there. I love
- 14:12Speaker 3: to see the personality in her and the connection. And
- 14:15Speaker 3: I love to see her connecting with the fans. I
- 14:17Speaker 3: told you that's what I need as a viewer from
- 14:19Speaker 3: the show.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, totally.
- 14:20Speaker 3: And again, I don't dance.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Like you, Trista. So I was like, oh, it was good.
- 14:24Speaker 1: It was good, right? She got a 19 out of 30. Totally.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The judges had really good things to say about her. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: they did. Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 2: And that's my wonder. You know, they want to keep
- 14:34Speaker 2: her around. And mind you, I didn't want her to
- 14:38Speaker 2: go last night. So I'm glad that she's around.
- 14:42Speaker 1: But I will. It just wasn't my favorite dance. It
- 14:46Speaker 1: was good. It wasn't, like, great compared to some of
- 14:50Speaker 1: these great dances that we're seeing. You know what I mean? Sure.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'll give you that.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Okay, so Guillermo is next with Whitney. And I know
- 15:12Speaker 2: he's not your favorite necessarily, but I just love how
- 15:16Speaker 2: he is like, he's funny and he just makes fun
- 15:21Speaker 2: of himself. And I love somebody who can play with
- 15:27Speaker 2: like the fact that they're maybe not the best dancer
- 15:30Speaker 2: and and poke fun at themselves like i i just
- 15:34Speaker 2: i love i love that about him i loved the
- 15:37Speaker 2: dance i thought it was hysterical at the end when
- 15:40Speaker 2: she rips open his shirt and he's like i'm here
- 15:43Speaker 2: for um dancing for the for the people yes so.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Cute. Like I really, yes. It's not that I
- 15:52Speaker 1: don't like him, right?
- 15:54Speaker 3: I do.
- 15:54Speaker 1: He's a fun aspect of the show.
- 15:56Speaker 3: I do not think he's going to go all the way,
- 15:58Speaker 3: but he gives a good comedic relief to the show.
- 16:02Speaker 3: He does not come on there and act like he's
- 16:04Speaker 3: the best dancer in the world. But I will tell
- 16:06Speaker 3: you a couple of things that I noticed. And just
- 16:08Speaker 3: from you mentioning it early on, I did see Whitney
- 16:14Speaker 3: talking him through the dance and I didn't like that.
- 16:16Speaker 3: It was distracting for me. And I imagine, right, as
- 16:19Speaker 3: an instructor, she probably has to do that. She's just
- 16:22Speaker 3: trying to get him through the end of the dance.
- 16:24Speaker 3: But I just like, as a viewer, I saw it
- 16:26Speaker 3: and I was kind of like, ah.
- 16:28Speaker 1: But she wasn't the only one.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I saw a couple of other people do it last night.
- 16:31Speaker 3: And it's just, it's not something that I ever noticed before.
- 16:35Speaker 3: But I will say- he has improved.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And that I love, right? From the very first dance
- 16:41Speaker 1: that he did. And again, he is straight up like,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I am not a dancer. This is so fun. Thank
- 16:45Speaker 1: you for having me. He's got a big grateful heart,
- 16:47Speaker 1: which you know I love.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And he has improved. His dancing improved last night. I mean,
- 16:52Speaker 3: he got a 15 out of 30. That's a really
- 16:54Speaker 3: great score for him.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Yeah. All fives. Yeah. I thought it was great.
- 16:59Speaker 2: And I love that he was pumping up the crowd
- 17:02Speaker 2: afterwards and like, you know, getting away from Alfonso and
- 17:05Speaker 2: just like, let's go. And then he said, we're keeping
- 17:09Speaker 2: it cute. I was like, that's going to be a
- 17:11Speaker 2: meme somewhere or something. We're keeping it cute. We're keeping
- 17:14Speaker 2: it cute.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I love it.
- 17:16Speaker 2: We do have to reverse a little bit and talk
- 17:19Speaker 2: about In the Skybox with Julianne, how they're doing these mocktails.
- 17:23Speaker 2: And I feel like sometimes... Sometimes it's just not needed.
- 17:27Speaker 2: It's not necessary. They're trying to fill all these moments
- 17:31Speaker 2: and you know, make back some money with the advertising
- 17:34Speaker 2: and whatever for this company or for the mocktails or whatever.
- 17:37Speaker 2: And I, I'm just like, do we really need mocktails?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Like they want to be like. throwing their arms up
- 17:44Speaker 2: in the air when they get a good score.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Well, did you.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Notice a couple of times with the mocktails, like the
- 17:50Speaker 3: pro next to them took it so that they could
- 17:52Speaker 3: hold a microphone and talk at the same time?
- 17:54Speaker 1: It was just weird.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I just don't know that it fits in there. I
- 17:58Speaker 2: love a cocktail or a mocktail. I'm all about it.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I just don't know that that was the place. I
- 18:02Speaker 2: feel like there's the show, the after show with Robert Irwin.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I don't know if they're doing it. I feel like
- 18:09Speaker 2: they did it the first week. But that's a place
- 18:13Speaker 2: for it. Like, they could put it into there, but
- 18:16Speaker 2: I just don't know that it's the right spot for it.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 1: A weird little addition that I just didn't need. Yeah, exactly. Okay,
- 18:24Speaker 1: so Tatiana and Jan were up next, and.
- 18:29Speaker 3: She has come so far. I don't even know the
- 18:32Speaker 3: right saying. She has come miles in just a few weeks.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I feel like the right saying is what Derek said,
- 18:38Speaker 2: that it was her breakthrough moment. It was totally her breakthrough.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it was gorgeous. Gorgeous.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And what I have been talking about since the beginning, too,
- 18:47Speaker 2: is actresses and actors have a leg up when they
- 18:50Speaker 2: have to act within their number. And she was great
- 18:58Speaker 2: at it. That gave so much more depth to the routine.
- 19:01Speaker 2: It wasn't just dancing. It was like a story.
- 19:04Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 19:05Speaker 3: I loved her little shimmy over, um, over when she
- 19:08Speaker 3: walks over his face or a little shimmy over.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I don't even know what to call it, Trista. I'm
- 19:12Speaker 1: such a, you know what I mean?
- 19:13Speaker 3: I don't even know what to call that. But like
- 19:15Speaker 3: when he's like on the ground and she kind of
- 19:16Speaker 3: shimmies over her face, like I saw so much personality
- 19:19Speaker 3: there and like, just like, a freaking queen.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 19:23Speaker 3: Like the first couple of weeks you could tell she
- 19:24Speaker 3: was so nervous and so scared. And I feel like,
- 19:27Speaker 3: like she came alive in that dance. Like she was like,
- 19:30Speaker 3: owned it, owned her personality, owned the dance, got out there,
- 19:33Speaker 3: freaking killed it. And then when they did that little thing,
- 19:35Speaker 3: she shimmied over him with her pants.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I was like, she cute girl, go ahead.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 19:40Speaker 2: And why there's two Hall and Oates songs so far.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Is there another Hall and Oates song? Because two out
- 19:48Speaker 2: of 10 or however many, dances we have, that seems
- 19:51Speaker 2: like a lot. Why couldn't they pick another recording artist?
- 19:57Speaker 2: I'm trying to go through all of them. Yeah, I
- 19:59Speaker 2: think there's two of them. I love Hall & Oates,
- 20:01Speaker 2: I will say, but it was just interesting to me
- 20:05Speaker 2: that there's multiple of their songs.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Okay, so she did the quick step. The quick step
- 20:09Speaker 1: is hard.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I've never done the quick step, but from what the
- 20:11Speaker 2: pros say every single season on this show, the quick
- 20:15Speaker 2: step is really hard, and I felt.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Like it was a beautiful dance. Yeah, I mean, I
- 20:20Speaker 1: can do the Roger Rabbit, so maybe I can quick step.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You can do anything you put your mind to. Exactly, Trista.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Thank you for encouraging all of my crazy thoughts that
- 20:33Speaker 3: pass through my mind on a daily basis. She did
- 20:36Speaker 3: so great. She got a 21 out of 30. Again,
- 20:39Speaker 3: I told you, I'm so glad to see some higher scores.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I'm so glad to see it be a competition now.
- 20:46Speaker 3: And it was well-deserved.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Well-deserved.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I always thought, is Carrie Ann, does she play that
- 20:53Speaker 3: part where she has to be the nitpicker?
- 20:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, she is.
- 20:56Speaker 1: She is.
- 20:57Speaker 2: But Derek does too. Bruno obviously is just like, I
- 21:01Speaker 2: love him.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I love him.
- 21:02Speaker 3: I want to sit next to him. I want to
- 21:03Speaker 3: like go to dinner with him. I want him to
- 21:05Speaker 3: tell me I'm so great and like encourage me. I like,
- 21:08Speaker 3: I just want to like bring him home with me.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Totally.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Carrie Ann can be, she's also kind of the supporter
- 21:16Speaker 2: or the uplifter or whatever you want to call it.
- 21:20Speaker 2: And Derek, since he's been in the ballroom recently, And
- 21:23Speaker 2: I think it's maybe two or three seasons that he's
- 21:26Speaker 2: been a regular judge. He is very much about technique.
- 21:31Speaker 2: And he kind of took a little bit of Len
- 21:33Speaker 2: Goodman's role in that Len always wanted there to be
- 21:37Speaker 2: the content of the particular dance that they were doing.
- 21:40Speaker 2: That he wants content of that dance. He doesn't want
- 21:43Speaker 2: it to be like a freestyle with just a little
- 21:45Speaker 2: bit of content. He wants that actual dance to be
- 21:49Speaker 2: shown and then have a little bit of fun.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Okay. Included in it. Yeah, it makes sense.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I just was kind of like, Carrie Ann, give her
- 21:55Speaker 3: her moment when she's like, she may have seen, and
- 21:58Speaker 3: even she wasn't even confident that she saw the misstep.
- 22:00Speaker 1: She was like, I think I saw it. But like,
- 22:02Speaker 1: you know, like, just let her have her moment.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Totally.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Just let her have her moment. 21 out of 30,
- 22:06Speaker 1: let her just rise above, girl. Yeah.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I agree.
- 22:10Speaker 2: So they announced the People's Sexiest, sorry, the People's Sexiest
- 22:15Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars pros. And- I have to say
- 22:20Speaker 2: I was a little shocked. I mean, I feel like
- 22:22Speaker 2: all of them, they put the pictures up there.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Holy abs. Did you see that picture of Pasha? Whoa.
- 22:29Speaker 3: If Dancing with the Stars has taught me anything, Trista,
- 22:33Speaker 3: it's that I want a set of abs.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Like if it's, okay, I need to be a dancer now.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Like that's my next go in this lifetime is that
- 22:40Speaker 3: I need to be a dancer so that I can
- 22:42Speaker 3: have a set of abs like that.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Seriously. Those abs.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I was like, and he's married to Danny, who is
- 22:51Speaker 2: like a brick house too, like completely ripped.
- 22:55Speaker 1: So I have to tell you, I was on a
- 22:57Speaker 1: trip once in Cabo and they were there.
- 22:59Speaker 3: With their family. I was staying at some nice resort.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I was there on a trip for work and they
- 23:03Speaker 3: were staying there. And although I didn't watch Dancing with
- 23:06Speaker 3: the Stars, I know who they are. Like I see
- 23:07Speaker 3: their stuff falling in my feed and you just know
- 23:10Speaker 3: who they are from Dancing with the Stars. And I
- 23:12Speaker 3: saw them and they were so unbothered, just them. And
- 23:16Speaker 3: no one messed with them and they were able to
- 23:18Speaker 3: live a normal life. And I was just like, that's cool.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Like I like when that happens. Stars, they're just like us.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Oh, great.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Exactly. You can go vote for.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Your favorite Sexiest Dancing with the Stars pro on people.com
- 23:34Speaker 2: if you want to go check it out.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So it's Val, Pasha, Ezra, and Alan, right? Who would
- 23:40Speaker 1: you pick, Trista?
- 23:41Speaker 2: You know, the abs really got me, but I will
- 23:45Speaker 2: say Val is one of my favorite all-time pros.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Like, he just.
- 23:53Speaker 2: also comes to dance competitions and teaches, um, my daughter,
- 23:58Speaker 2: like my daughter's in the class with hundreds of other girls,
- 24:00Speaker 2: you know, but, um, he, we were at this one
- 24:03Speaker 2: dance competition. So this is like just a personal, you know, connection,
- 24:07Speaker 2: which is why I love him. And I would vote
- 24:09Speaker 2: for him. He was in the little restaurant and we
- 24:12Speaker 2: came in and it was, it was a thing to
- 24:14Speaker 2: get the girls Shirley temples. And so we came in
- 24:17Speaker 2: to get a couple of Shirley temples with her and
- 24:19Speaker 2: her friend. And I said hi, introduced myself, and said,
- 24:25Speaker 2: you know, we're kind of part of the same family.
- 24:27Speaker 2: We might have met before that. But anyway, he ended
- 24:29Speaker 2: up buying the girls their Shirley Temples and just talked
- 24:32Speaker 2: to us for a while. And so he'll always like— Okay,
- 24:35Speaker 2: so I love that.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I love that when people are like normal people. You
- 24:39Speaker 1: know what I mean? I love that. I'm so glad
- 24:42Speaker 1: that you shared that story.
- 24:43Speaker 3: I love when people can be on top of the
- 24:46Speaker 3: world but still have enough— humble parts of them to
- 24:51Speaker 3: be normal people.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I love that.
- 24:53Speaker 2: And like these girls like so look up to him
- 24:57Speaker 2: and Jenna, you know, like they idolize them almost. And
- 25:01Speaker 2: so the fact that he was like, oh, I've got
- 25:04Speaker 2: them for you. They were just in heaven. So if
- 25:07Speaker 2: you make my daughter happy, you have my heart for
- 25:10Speaker 2: the rest of forever.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Direct line to my heart. Direct line to my heart.
- 25:14Speaker 3: If you would like to win me over, love my children.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Like, come on. Oh, I love that. That's so great.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I would also vote for Val because, you know, he's
- 25:22Speaker 3: very good looking and a great dancer, obviously.
- 25:23Speaker 1: And abs, right? I'm in the market for some of those.
- 25:26Speaker 3: But I think that he has a great personality, Trista.
- 25:30Speaker 3: And I think that really shines through both on and
- 25:34Speaker 3: off the dance floor. Like, I think he is full-blown entertainer.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yep.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Agreed.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Love it. Okay, so next is his lovely wife, Jenna,
- 25:43Speaker 1: with Harry. And.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He got all eights, too, because it was excellent. Excellent.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Like, he looked like a pro out there. I will say, oh,
- 25:54Speaker 2: it was the third Hall & Oates song. So there
- 25:56Speaker 2: was another Hall & Oates song on this dance.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Wonder if they bought the rights. We'll need our producer, Heather,
- 26:02Speaker 3: to look into that. Like, did they buy the rights
- 26:04Speaker 3: for those songs? And that's why they got to perform
- 26:06Speaker 3: so many of them.
- 26:07Speaker 1: They always do. But I think maybe they got a deal,
- 26:10Speaker 1: because if they bought three, they got three for one.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Three for one. Buy one, get two free, Trista. They
- 26:18Speaker 1: save a lot. Come on. Oh, you're so funny. Oh
- 26:23Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Okay, so with Harry and Jenna, I thought it was incredible.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I loved the costumes, but I will say, and you're
- 26:34Speaker 2: probably going to laugh at me about this, I was
- 26:36Speaker 2: so distracted because her hair didn't move an iota. Like,
- 26:41Speaker 2: it did not move. It was, like, plastered to her head.
- 26:46Speaker 2: And I'm like, does she have a wig on? And
- 26:48Speaker 2: it is just, like, a solid hair wig.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Like, do you know what I mean? I didn't notice
- 26:52Speaker 1: it at all.
- 26:53Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Now that you're saying that, right?
- 26:56Speaker 2: Because.
- 26:57Speaker 3: They were jiving, so there's a lot of bouncing going on.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Her hair didn't move, but maybe that's the whole point.
- 27:04Speaker 3: They didn't want her hair flipping around.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'm unsure. I don't know. I didn't notice it when
- 27:08Speaker 1: I was watching it.
- 27:09Speaker 2: It just distracted me. I was like, I just want
- 27:11Speaker 2: to see a little hair movement. Not that it's part
- 27:15Speaker 2: of the choreography or anything. I just was like waiting,
- 27:21Speaker 2: like watching her hair, waiting for it to move.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Just a little bit.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Oh, my God. You're so funny.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Isn't it so funny?
- 27:27Speaker 3: It is really interesting, the things as viewers that we
- 27:30Speaker 3: pick out that like these pros and these dancers, they're
- 27:33Speaker 3: probably not, they don't think twice about this stuff. But
- 27:36Speaker 3: it's like the normal people stuff that we think about. Like,
- 27:39Speaker 3: why is her hair not moving? She's got so much Aquanet,
- 27:41Speaker 3: you know? Yeah.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Exactly it just takes you out of the moment you
- 27:46Speaker 2: know what I mean so I feel like it regardless
- 27:50Speaker 2: I'm probably one of maybe zero people or maybe a
- 27:54Speaker 2: few people who even noticed it but it just it
- 27:57Speaker 2: just drew like took me out of the dance just
- 28:00Speaker 2: you know momentarily I came right back because it really
- 28:03Speaker 2: was such a good jive like so much content and
- 28:08Speaker 2: really it was like he was a professional I felt like.
- 28:12Speaker 1: He's phenomenal. Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 3: I concur with everything that you say. And they got
- 28:17Speaker 3: a 24 out of 30, which is, there I go again.
- 28:20Speaker 3: I'm really happy to see a very high score, Trista.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Give them what they deserve. And I love that they...
- 28:26Speaker 3: And maybe they're just trying to pump up Grey's Anatomy,
- 28:30Speaker 3: but I do love that they are noting like, hey, dude,
- 28:32Speaker 3: you're filming a show right now. I I told you,
- 28:34Speaker 3: I underestimate everyone's career until I actually have to do it.
- 28:37Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh my gosh, okay, so he just
- 28:39Speaker 3: gets up.
- 28:39Speaker 1: There and reads a few lines. No, no, no, no, no.
- 28:41Speaker 3: He is like working two very demanding jobs right now
- 28:47Speaker 3: being on set. And the little pieces that I know,
- 28:50Speaker 3: and you know this too, Trista, I love getting to
- 28:53Speaker 3: be myself and getting paid to be myself. And I'm
- 28:58Speaker 3: very extroverted, introverted. And it's a lot. I am exhausted
- 29:05Speaker 3: when I come home from hosting an event or being
- 29:09Speaker 3: my face out there and having to smile and be
- 29:11Speaker 3: friendly and kind and all of those things.
- 29:13Speaker 1: I can't imagine.
- 29:14Speaker 3: I wonder when he comes home, does he just plop
- 29:17Speaker 3: on the couch and he's like, I need to eat
- 29:19Speaker 3: a cookie and watch something and not speak to anyone?
- 29:22Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I am the same way. And I'm sure it's just
- 29:26Speaker 2: a personality thing.
- 29:27Speaker 1: But there is....
- 29:29Speaker 2: There's so much adrenaline that happens when you're on one
- 29:33Speaker 2: of these shows. Not only is the adrenaline pump like
- 29:37Speaker 2: right before you go on stage and really the whole week,
- 29:39Speaker 2: like rehearsing and building it up in your mind and
- 29:42Speaker 2: worrying about being out there on on live television and
- 29:47Speaker 2: having to do your best but then you know, afterwards,
- 29:51Speaker 2: just the excitement of the scores. Cause he got, got
- 29:54Speaker 2: really great scores. He got the, um, he tied with
- 29:57Speaker 2: Amber for the top of the leaderboard. So like all
- 30:01Speaker 2: of that adrenaline is so up, up, up, up, up
- 30:03Speaker 2: the entire night. So I can't imagine like Ryan, when
- 30:07Speaker 2: he would come home from work, a lot of adrenaline too.
- 30:11Speaker 1: He wouldn't be able to sleep until he calmed down.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You need a moment to decompress. Yeah, totally. So I'm sure.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I would assume that every single one of the celebs,
- 30:22Speaker 2: the pros are used to it because this is their job.
- 30:24Speaker 2: This is what they've been training for for years and
- 30:26Speaker 2: years and years and years. But the celebs, not necessarily.
- 30:31Speaker 2: So I can't imagine that every single one of them
- 30:33Speaker 2: goes home and is like, I.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Just have to veg. Whatever that veg looks like, I'm
- 30:39Speaker 1: sure they're veg. Ice my calves. Ice my knees. We're
- 30:43Speaker 1: old ladies. We're old ladies.
- 30:45Speaker 3: And I already think knees are weird anyway. I think
- 30:47Speaker 3: they're the worst part of a body. I don't even
- 30:50Speaker 3: want to wear shorts because I think knees are so weird.
- 30:52Speaker 1: But you know what I mean? Ice your knees because
- 30:54Speaker 1: we're old.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Your whole body, truly.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Get in an ice bath or a hot tub or
- 31:01Speaker 2: whatever because they've got to be so sore. When you're
- 31:04Speaker 2: dancing like this, you are activating muscles that you never
- 31:08Speaker 2: even thought existed.
- 31:10Speaker 1: So I think.
- 31:11Speaker 2: They're probably all feeling it. Unfortunately, this is kind of
- 31:16Speaker 2: the time when injuries happen. And so I'm wondering if
- 31:20Speaker 2: there's going to be an injury on this season because
- 31:23Speaker 2: they just work so hard and constant that they rarely
- 31:29Speaker 2: have the time for breaks.
- 31:32Speaker 1: So that's when your body breaks down.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I wouldn't be walking, Trista. So more power to
- 31:38Speaker 3: all of these people. No kidding.
- 31:40Speaker 1: No kidding. Yeah.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Okay, so next is Taylor and Brit, and they had
- 31:57Speaker 2: a lot of critiques of them. And it was interesting
- 32:00Speaker 2: because I feel like this is where the critique, criticism
- 32:05Speaker 2: kind of comes in for me is if you compare them,
- 32:10Speaker 2: Julia and Brit, to Taylor Julia's dance in my mind
- 32:14Speaker 2: was very similar to Taylor's like I felt like it
- 32:17Speaker 2: wasn't um I don't know it wasn't the greatest it
- 32:22Speaker 2: it just didn't like pull me in like I said
- 32:25Speaker 2: but they gave her a lot of really good critiques
- 32:28Speaker 2: and they gave him a lot of not so great
- 32:31Speaker 2: critiques and so I that's where my confusion comes in
- 32:35Speaker 2: like why wouldn't you say the same to Julia do
- 32:38Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying um.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I hear you, but I don't know that I feel
- 32:43Speaker 1: the same.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:44Speaker 3: I don't know that their dances were comparable. And again,
- 32:49Speaker 3: I am, I am no professional dancer here, but when
- 32:52Speaker 3: it came to Taylor, I was kind of like, every
- 32:55Speaker 3: bit of it was a little dry for me.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Yeah. You know?
- 33:00Speaker 3: Whereas she can still perform and smile and she's got,
- 33:03Speaker 3: you know, she hits the points and sort of stuff.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Whereas like when he got out there, it was like,
- 33:08Speaker 3: if he didn't have a pro, he would have just
- 33:10Speaker 3: been like spinning.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Circles in the center of the dance floor.
- 33:14Speaker 3: You know, it was kind of missing on all parts
- 33:16Speaker 3: for me, the connection with the audience, the viewership, the
- 33:20Speaker 3: connection with the camera.
- 33:22Speaker 1: You know what I mean? The lack of enjoyment. On
- 33:26Speaker 1: his face? I know. It feels like he just wasn't
- 33:29Speaker 1: having a lot of fun. Like he's being forced to
- 33:32Speaker 1: be there. There's no enthusiasm.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yeah, there wasn't enthusiasm for being there. And I felt
- 33:38Speaker 2: like him and Britt have a good connection, but it
- 33:41Speaker 2: was like, almost like.
- 33:42Speaker 1: They're just friends. They're happy to be together.
- 33:44Speaker 2: But all the other couples I feel like are very
- 33:48Speaker 2: enthusiastic about being there.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I actually don't think that they have a great connection.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I didn't see it. Oh, you don't?
- 33:53Speaker 3: When they were giving him his scores, like a lot
- 33:58Speaker 3: of the pros and their celebrity, you see like the hugging,
- 34:03Speaker 3: great job, the encouragement, all of that stuff. And that
- 34:06Speaker 3: was lacking between the two of them. I don't think
- 34:08Speaker 3: they hate each other by any means. So I don't
- 34:10Speaker 3: know if it's like, I don't know if that's just,
- 34:13Speaker 3: he's so dedicated to his wife and his children. He's
- 34:15Speaker 3: not going to give off that vibe. He's, you know,
- 34:16Speaker 3: and she's a beautiful woman.
- 34:17Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Um, I'm not sure.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Obviously is I'm not there and I'm, I'm no professional
- 34:22Speaker 3: by any means, but it is not giving what some
- 34:26Speaker 3: of the other partners in, in the show are giving,
- 34:30Speaker 3: you know, like there is not a whole lot of
- 34:32Speaker 3: engagement between the two of them when they are doing
- 34:34Speaker 3: the interviews with Juliana, um, you know, I'm just not
- 34:38Speaker 3: seeing it.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I'm just not seeing it. It was more like a
- 34:41Speaker 1: professional thing. Yeah. Like they're, yeah, totally.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Like I could have just fist bumped each other and
- 34:45Speaker 3: I thought that was more appropriate than them being like,
- 34:47Speaker 3: great job.
- 34:47Speaker 1: You're awesome. Thank you. You know?
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So yeah.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:52Speaker 1: True.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, they only got an 18 out of 30.
- 34:54Speaker 3: So I thought that.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Was very fitting.
- 34:57Speaker 2: He wasn't the lowest on the leaderboard. He was, well,
- 35:01Speaker 2: he was tied for third to last.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Yeah. I even thought that score was kind of generous, Trista.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Yeah. Right.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You know, and I hate doing that.
- 35:12Speaker 3: I hate, I hate saying that, but I think if
- 35:14Speaker 3: we're looking at a competition show, I thought that score
- 35:17Speaker 3: was generous. Yeah.
- 35:18Speaker 1: That's all.
- 35:18Speaker 3: And I, you know, and coming from someone in episode one,
- 35:21Speaker 3: I was, I was rooting for my Hanson brother. Like
- 35:23Speaker 3: I was like, okay, bring them back. Let them have
- 35:25Speaker 3: a new album. Let this be their comeback.
- 35:27Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 35:27Speaker 3: Like I was rooting for him and, and, and it's
- 35:29Speaker 3: just not, um, portraying across the television.
- 35:33Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
- 35:34Speaker 3: So I know that we texted back and forth last night.
- 35:37Speaker 3: And for those listening, we usually do this. There's a
- 35:40Speaker 3: group chat between our producer, Heather, and Trista and I,
- 35:42Speaker 3: and we go off on the show. You know what
- 35:44Speaker 3: I mean? Just noting things and talking about things that happened.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Maura has so surprised me. And I need to say
- 35:50Speaker 3: it here so that our listeners hear me. I genuinely
- 35:54Speaker 3: did not have high expectations for her. And Maura, am
- 36:01Speaker 3: I saying it right? Maura.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Maura.
- 36:03Speaker 1: And Mark. were so good last night. I expect it
- 36:09Speaker 1: from Mark.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Again, I know who he is, but she is so
- 36:13Speaker 3: stunning on the dance floor with her.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Stunning.
- 36:16Speaker 3: This is going to sound weird, and I don't know
- 36:17Speaker 3: if it's the right way to say it, but her limbs,
- 36:20Speaker 3: her arms, and her legs move so gracefully like a dancer.
- 36:26Speaker 3: And now it's Did she have the ability before she
- 36:29Speaker 3: came into the ballroom?
- 36:30Speaker 1: I don't think so. Or is this all, like, props
- 36:31Speaker 1: to Mark? Like, he's just that good.
- 36:33Speaker 2: No, this is Mark. This is Mark's teaching. He has
- 36:37Speaker 2: been able to draw out a dancer. You know, like,
- 36:41Speaker 2: she said, she's like, I have no— dance ability. He
- 36:45Speaker 2: has drawn out those lines because there are a lot
- 36:48Speaker 2: of people on the show who I said it last
- 36:50Speaker 2: week have like pancake hands.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:53Speaker 2: And that cuts like your hands do not look pretty
- 36:56Speaker 2: with pancake hands unless you're like a cheerleader and you're
- 36:59Speaker 2: like doing like, you know, like hard staccato movements. In ballroom,
- 37:04Speaker 2: you definitely need to like focus on your hands. I remember,
- 37:08Speaker 2: I think I told you this. I remember in one
- 37:10Speaker 2: of our dances, the Roomba that I did Louie was like,
- 37:14Speaker 2: stick your pinky up. And it's very precise. Like your
- 37:17Speaker 2: hands need to be in a certain placement. Because it
- 37:19Speaker 2: goes against everything that we are.
- 37:20Speaker 3: You know, when you watch the old like English and
- 37:22Speaker 3: they're like drinking with their, and it was like a
- 37:23Speaker 3: way that you made fun. Like I have said this
- 37:27Speaker 3: to you before, like everything that they have to check
- 37:29Speaker 3: off the list mentally before they start. Okay, smile, be this,
- 37:32Speaker 3: be animated, watch your fingers, do your pinky, point your toes, like,
- 37:36Speaker 3: you know, and remember a dance that they just learned.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yes. And not, and being not a dancer and that
- 37:43Speaker 2: this is the, the contradiction of Taylor and Mara.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Like Mara is so excited to be there.
- 37:51Speaker 2: She has such an enthusiasm for this show and she's
- 37:54Speaker 2: so happy to be there. And she's so happy to
- 37:57Speaker 2: be doing it with Mark. Like the fact that That's
- 38:01Speaker 2: what I'm talking about. I love to see enthusiasm. Yes,
- 38:05Speaker 2: you can be bummed out that maybe you just didn't
- 38:08Speaker 2: perform the best. I totally understand that. But it was
- 38:11Speaker 2: never there with Taylor. And with Mara, it is so there.
- 38:15Speaker 2: She is so elegant out there in this dance and
- 38:19Speaker 2: was so passionate in the tango.
- 38:22Speaker 3: That is a great comparison, Trista. We just went from Taylor...
- 38:26Speaker 3: To her. It is a great comparison because as a viewer,
- 38:30Speaker 3: when you are watching it on the screen, you're giving
- 38:32Speaker 3: off two totally different vibes.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Totally. She like bleeds it. You know what I mean? Totally.
- 38:38Speaker 3: I feel it when she is dancing. I feel her
- 38:41Speaker 3: joy and her excitement and I feel the connection between
- 38:44Speaker 3: her and Mark. And that was lacking with Taylor and
- 38:46Speaker 3: his partner. That is a prime example of what we're
- 38:50Speaker 3: talking about here.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I totally agree.
- 38:52Speaker 2: And I do want to point out in her dances,
- 38:55Speaker 2: she is so good about finding the camera, about playing
- 38:59Speaker 2: up the camera, like with a little bit of acting
- 39:02Speaker 2: thrown in there and just having so much fun. I
- 39:05Speaker 2: do have to say, I thought she deserved way more
- 39:09Speaker 2: than one eight. Like she should have gotten at least.
- 39:12Speaker 1: One more eight.
- 39:13Speaker 2: And- And then I would have been a little more happy,
- 39:16Speaker 2: but I thought her dance, like she is a stunner.
- 39:19Speaker 2: I called it last night and I've called it before
- 39:22Speaker 2: on our text thread.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I see her in the final. That's so awesome. Yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I don't know that I saw it before, but I
- 39:28Speaker 1: saw it last night. I saw it last night.
- 39:30Speaker 3: And honestly, with her accent, I could just sit around
- 39:32Speaker 3: and listen to her talk all day long. Like there,
- 39:36Speaker 3: sometimes I, I hate to say this, but sometimes the,
- 39:40Speaker 3: whatever the pre footage is of them when they're practicing,
- 39:43Speaker 3: sometimes I'm kind of like, I don't know. I don't really,
- 39:46Speaker 3: you know, but I always watch theirs because I, She
- 39:49Speaker 3: has such a playful, fun personality. And even though she
- 39:54Speaker 3: is saying like, this is hard, I'm trying so hard,
- 39:57Speaker 3: I don't want to disappoint Mark, you know, all of
- 39:58Speaker 3: those things.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I just love that she is so carefree. And then
- 40:03Speaker 1: I just like to hear her talk.
- 40:04Speaker 3: All of her little like, all of her things. I
- 40:06Speaker 3: just like to hear her speak. And she's, yeah, she's beautiful.
- 40:10Speaker 3: 22 out of 30, I thought was very fitting. But yeah,
- 40:13Speaker 3: maybe she could have gotten a better score. But I
- 40:15Speaker 3: like to see her each week improving.
- 40:20Speaker 1: And yeah, I think that she has a place in
- 40:23Speaker 1: the final, Trista. I think you could be right. I
- 40:25Speaker 1: hope so. I hope so. Because I really love watching
- 40:28Speaker 1: her on the dance floor. Yeah.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Okay. Sierra and Brandon, that hair was amazing. I was like, yes,
- 40:36Speaker 2: she should get high scores just for the hair.
- 40:39Speaker 1: She is so gorgeous.
- 40:40Speaker 3: I don't know if you watched the VMAs this week,
- 40:42Speaker 3: but I watched the pre-shows and she was walking the carpet.
- 40:46Speaker 1: And she wore this really smoke. I mean, she is
- 40:49Speaker 1: She's gorgeous. She's gorgeous.
- 40:51Speaker 3: She was wearing this really smoking hot brown outfit, like
- 40:54Speaker 3: burying her whole body. But it was giving very Tyra
- 40:57Speaker 3: Banks from like 20 years ago. Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yeah, totally. I loved the vibe of this dance.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I didn't think it was the greatest dance. She seemed
- 41:06Speaker 2: very wobbly. And like she didn't stick her movements. There
- 41:11Speaker 2: was just a lot of, it just wasn't clean enough
- 41:14Speaker 2: for me.
- 41:15Speaker 1: But she's clearly gorgeous. extremely smoking hot. So yeah. Yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 3: She got an 18 out of 30. I'm not sure that,
- 41:25Speaker 3: you know, what do I know about, about scoring, but yeah.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I thought she did good.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I thought she did good. I thought she did good.
- 41:33Speaker 1: So yeah, I didn't quite get the whole like persona thing.
- 41:36Speaker 3: I know they tried to tell us that and give
- 41:39Speaker 3: us the backstory, but I think it was lacking for me.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I think it just had to do with like the whole,
- 41:46Speaker 2: like the outfit and like how she was at the
- 41:50Speaker 2: beginning of the dance, like kind of on the top
- 41:54Speaker 2: of the stage when they were clinking glasses.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Well, she explains that when she was in Summer House,
- 41:59Speaker 3: they did a 70s party.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:01Speaker 3: And that's where this like persona was born, right? So
- 42:05Speaker 3: then they tried to parlay it into this and in
- 42:07Speaker 3: her dance. And I guess it was a whole backstory
- 42:10Speaker 3: that I just didn't need.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I just didn't need it. Yeah. Like, yeah.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Cool.
- 42:14Speaker 1: You have gold teeth in.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Cool.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Like you looked great. You danced well.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:18Speaker 1: But like, I didn't need, I didn't need the persona. Right.
- 42:21Speaker 3: But then they even, when she's being interviewed, they ask
- 42:23Speaker 3: her about it. She's like, just look at the teeth.
- 42:25Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, I don't. Okay. You know, like,
- 42:29Speaker 1: it's like, it's up there with me with the mocktails.
- 42:31Speaker 1: I didn't need it. Totally. Right. Didn't need it.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I agree. Okay, Jackson and Emma.
- 42:48Speaker 2: He did Easy Lover by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I mean, hello. Phil Collins is just an icon. So....
- 42:59Speaker 2: Carrie Ann said she loved the intensity. Derek said there
- 43:01Speaker 2: were some really good moments. He wants to see him
- 43:05Speaker 2: more bold. I felt like I wrote down in my
- 43:09Speaker 2: notes because I actually ended up taking notes last night.
- 43:11Speaker 2: I'm like, I need to remember. And you know my memory.
- 43:14Speaker 1: It sucks.
- 43:14Speaker 2: So Carrie Ann said he wasn't syncing with the music.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Totally agree with that. His musicality, like he doesn't hit the.
- 43:23Speaker 1: the beat.
- 43:24Speaker 2: He, he is not hitting everything on the beat. She
- 43:27Speaker 2: said he was above the beat, which I totally agree with.
- 43:30Speaker 2: I need, that's just a very basic part of dancing,
- 43:35Speaker 2: especially on this show. Like in the very beginning when
- 43:38Speaker 2: Giada was like, I, she couldn't find the beat. I
- 43:41Speaker 2: was like, Oh, this does not bode well for her
- 43:43Speaker 2: because in, in dance, you have to have rhythm and,
- 43:48Speaker 2: and be able to pick up the beat. And I
- 43:50Speaker 2: just feel like he's not landing on the beat. So
- 43:52Speaker 2: hopefully that's something he can work on next week. But I, yeah,
- 43:57Speaker 2: it wasn't, it wasn't my favorite. It kind of fell
- 43:59Speaker 2: flat too, because I was, I was watching and being like,
- 44:02Speaker 2: oh no, he missed it again.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Oh no, he missed it. Do you know, do you
- 44:04Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like it kept distracting me. Yeah.
- 44:07Speaker 3: And I think that, you know, when he's on the
- 44:09Speaker 3: baseball field, it's just a different thing that he's doing.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Right, and he's performing to a massive crowd.
- 44:15Speaker 3: He's trying to do this dance. So I love that
- 44:17Speaker 3: he's giving it a shot, and I love that we're
- 44:18Speaker 3: seeing a different side of him. But I am guessing, Trista,
- 44:23Speaker 3: that in the next couple of weeks, we're going to
- 44:26Speaker 3: see that it just doesn't line up.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Yep.
- 44:30Speaker 1: It doesn't line up.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I will say, I will give them this. I always
- 44:36Speaker 2: see Emma giving, like, the verbal cues or the counts
- 44:42Speaker 2: or whatever, like you said with Whitney and Guillermo this time,
- 44:46Speaker 2: she does that all the time, almost every season. And
- 44:50Speaker 2: usually she has like lower level dancers. She was, she
- 44:54Speaker 2: was not doing it last night. So I, and I,
- 44:57Speaker 2: now I'm looking for it, like actually watching her to
- 45:00Speaker 2: see if she is doing it, which is not a
- 45:03Speaker 2: good thing to be doing when I'm trying to take
- 45:05Speaker 2: in the whole dance, you know? but they did not
- 45:08Speaker 2: do it last night. So I'm like, okay, at least
- 45:10Speaker 2: she's not having to give him verbal cues and he's
- 45:13Speaker 2: getting the dance, you know?
- 45:16Speaker 1: So I don't know. I really was happy about that.
- 45:19Speaker 1: That's improvement to me. Yeah.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Well, it's all right. It was missed.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Connor and Riley, these two little cutie pies. I mean,
- 45:28Speaker 3: they're just, I just want to like send them to
- 45:30Speaker 3: like the diner down the street and have them share
- 45:32Speaker 3: a milkshake. Like they are just adorable cuties. Young, innocent, sweet.
- 45:37Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 45:39Speaker 3: I also didn't love his dance. He got a 20
- 45:42Speaker 3: out of 30. And he's the one for me where
- 45:45Speaker 3: I'm kind of like, ah, I don't know. Did he
- 45:47Speaker 3: really deserve that?
- 45:49Speaker 1: I don't think so either. Yeah. I thought it was
- 45:52Speaker 1: a very generous score.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Yeah, very generous. That's also where I'm like, really?
- 45:57Speaker 1: Did he deserve that? Are we keeping him around? Yeah.
- 46:01Speaker 1: The mullet, love the mullet. And I do love their partnership.
- 46:06Speaker 2: I feel like all of us are shipping them together, right?
- 46:11Speaker 2: I really wish that they do go out on a date.
- 46:14Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if you go for a milkshake, but
- 46:16Speaker 2: I love that visual. Yeah. Yeah, I think they're really cute.
- 46:21Speaker 2: I don't necessarily see him going very far, but I
- 46:25Speaker 2: think he'll be around for at least a couple more weeks.
- 46:28Speaker 3: You know what I also, just real quick before we
- 46:30Speaker 3: move on to Jenna Dewan, is like the judges' feedback
- 46:34Speaker 3: didn't match that great score.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Yeah, right. You know what I mean?
- 46:38Speaker 3: Like they had several critiques for him. It wasn't really terrible,
- 46:43Speaker 3: but it just didn't match that generous of a score.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So it was fine. 20 out of 30.
- 46:50Speaker 3: I mean, that was excellent, right? We'll see him dance
- 46:52Speaker 3: another week, which is super exciting. My big hit for
- 46:55Speaker 3: the night, which is no surprise, Trista, was Jenna Dewan
- 46:59Speaker 3: and Val. She was like a sweet little love kitten
- 47:04Speaker 3: out there dancing her little face off.
- 47:07Speaker 1: It is no surprise. She is... phenomenal. She's phenomenal. She
- 47:13Speaker 1: looked beautiful. Her hair was great.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I loved the little, I don't know what they are,
- 47:17Speaker 3: little rhinestones that were on her eyes. Like when she
- 47:19Speaker 3: was doing her, after her dance, her little interview backstage,
- 47:22Speaker 3: I was just staring at her.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Like she's just beautiful to look at.
- 47:26Speaker 2: She is gorgeous and she's an incredible dancer. Two things
- 47:32Speaker 2: that I know. She is, she is a dancer. Like she,
- 47:36Speaker 2: she could definitely be in the final.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:39Speaker 2: But the thing about this show is you need to
- 47:41Speaker 2: feel connected to the people who are on it and
- 47:44Speaker 2: in order to vote for them, which is what we're
- 47:46Speaker 2: seeing with Taylor. I don't think people were connecting to him.
- 47:49Speaker 2: So that's, you know, why what happens happens or what
- 47:53Speaker 2: happened happens with her in their package. And I don't
- 47:57Speaker 2: know if you watched it because you said sometimes you'll
- 47:59Speaker 2: zone out. Val specifically said to her in the package
- 48:03Speaker 2: at the rehearsal, like, your dancing is amazing, but we
- 48:07Speaker 2: need to know who Jenna is. Yeah. And again, she said,
- 48:11Speaker 2: I'm here because I love to dance. I get that.
- 48:15Speaker 2: I understand that. And it doesn't need to be your why,
- 48:18Speaker 2: why you're doing the show. But we want more Jenna.
- 48:22Speaker 2: We want more of the like, bring us into your story.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Bring us into... behind the scenes, push open the curtain
- 48:31Speaker 2: and let us see inside.
- 48:33Speaker 1: And I feel like we're... Yeah, is that what you're
- 48:35Speaker 1: asking for? Yes, yes. I need that.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Like, I need that with her. As I've said, I
- 48:40Speaker 2: looked up to her. She was one of the people in...
- 48:43Speaker 2: As Janet Jackson's backup dancer, like, I wanted to be her. And.
- 48:49Speaker 2: I'm not connecting to her, even though she's an amazing dancer.
- 48:54Speaker 2: She could very well be in the final, but she
- 48:56Speaker 2: needs to be more vulnerable and let us in. Yeah. Yeah.
- 49:00Speaker 3: No, I agree.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I agree. I'm caught up in how beautiful she looks
- 49:04Speaker 1: out there. You know what I mean? And she does.
- 49:06Speaker 1: She looks great. Right? Bruno said it was a sizzling
- 49:09Speaker 1: tropical treat.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Yes. I was like.
- 49:12Speaker 1: I want to be a sizzling tropical treat. I mean,
- 49:15Speaker 1: who doesn't?
- 49:16Speaker 2: I will say someone said this. I can't remember which judge.
- 49:20Speaker 2: but they do want, I want to see her slow down.
- 49:22Speaker 2: And it's not her fault that she's had all fast pieces,
- 49:26Speaker 2: but I would like to see the elegant side of
- 49:29Speaker 2: her come out. I want to see her in a
- 49:30Speaker 2: waltz or a foxtrot next. And I hope that she'll
- 49:33Speaker 2: get one of those dances.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:34Speaker 3: So I think it was Derek. I think he said
- 49:36Speaker 3: he wants to see her slow down. And he also
- 49:38Speaker 3: made the comment he wants to see her hair up. Yes, right.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Because there is a lot of like, she's got these
- 49:43Speaker 3: fast dances. So there's a lot of hair whipping around
- 49:45Speaker 3: and she has that. She is very good at acting
- 49:48Speaker 3: and she puts on that very sultry vibe. Is that
- 49:52Speaker 3: the word I'm looking for? She's very sexy. She's very sexy.
- 49:56Speaker 3: And the hair is sexy when she's whipping it around
- 49:59Speaker 3: and she's making faces at the camera. And she's, you know, yeah,
- 50:03Speaker 3: I think he was really right on point when he
- 50:05Speaker 3: said he'd like to see her slow down and he
- 50:06Speaker 3: wants to see her hair up. So we'll probably get
- 50:08Speaker 3: that next week, don't you think?
- 50:10Speaker 1: I would hope. Yeah. Okay. Well, she did great. She
- 50:12Speaker 1: got a 21 out of 30, Trista. That was a
- 50:15Speaker 1: good score, right? Great score.
- 50:17Speaker 2: She was at the top of the leaderboard. I think
- 50:19Speaker 2: that it was... Oh, here we go. I took a
- 50:21Speaker 2: picture of it. Amber and Harry were at the top,
- 50:25Speaker 2: and then Mara was next. Oh, and then Ezra, Jenna,
- 50:29Speaker 2: and Tatiana were tied for one, two, three, four, fourth, essentially.
- 50:34Speaker 1: So she wasn't at the very top, but she got
- 50:36Speaker 1: a good score. Yeah, she got a good score. Let's
- 50:39Speaker 1: move on to my boyfriend. Yep. I'm going to say
- 50:43Speaker 1: this in the most loving way. I was wondering what
- 50:48Speaker 1: was going to come out of your mouth today. Tyler,
- 50:51Speaker 1: I'm your biggest fan. Do not hold this against me.
- 50:54Speaker 3: I'm so glad that you're there and I get to
- 50:57Speaker 3: see you move around on the dance floor and you've
- 51:01Speaker 3: got your fiance there and your ex-girlfriend and me.
- 51:04Speaker 1: So like you have so much going for you. Yeah.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Man, Trista, he looks like the giant, the Jolly Green
- 51:16Speaker 3: Giant moving around on the dance floor.
- 51:19Speaker 1: And that's to be expected, right? He's a big boy.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I mean, what is he like?
- 51:23Speaker 3: He's mine and our producer's Heather's, our dream. He's like
- 51:26Speaker 3: 6'4 or something like that. We like him tall. But
- 51:30Speaker 3: he looks it on the dance floor.
- 51:32Speaker 1: He does not.
- 51:34Speaker 3: And I don't know if it's just how big he is.
- 51:36Speaker 3: He cannot move, like, fluidly, like, gracefully. And, you know,
- 51:42Speaker 3: also that he's a man, right?
- 51:43Speaker 1: The hands, right? The pancake hands, yeah.
- 51:45Speaker 3: But even when he was— I was watching his feet. Even
- 51:48Speaker 3: when he's doing his feet, it is very much like
- 51:50Speaker 3: a great one, two.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Yeah. One, two. It is not like a fluid one,
- 51:54Speaker 1: two at all.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Which is another example of why the dance that you
- 52:00Speaker 2: get assigned and they get assigned dances— is so important
- 52:05Speaker 2: because he's so much better at the slow movements when
- 52:07Speaker 2: he can be in frame and even in the like
- 52:10Speaker 2: kind of like power position and leading instead of trying
- 52:14Speaker 2: to like attack fast moves like those aren't that's not
- 52:18Speaker 2: his vibe so i'm glad he's gonna be around another
- 52:21Speaker 2: week me too.
- 52:22Speaker 1: You know I'm glad, Trista.
- 52:24Speaker 3: I mean, you know I'm very happy about this. I
- 52:27Speaker 3: was like scared for my boy last night that he was,
- 52:29Speaker 3: you know, that he was on the chopping block. So
- 52:31Speaker 3: I'm very glad that we all get to look at
- 52:33Speaker 3: Tyler Cameron another week. You know what? He very much
- 52:37Speaker 3: looks like he's constantly counting in his head.
- 52:40Speaker 2: He is. I'm sure he is. I don't think he
- 52:42Speaker 2: deserved the five. He got a five and two sixes.
- 52:45Speaker 2: So he ended up with the 17 out of 30.
- 52:47Speaker 2: But I was very scared that he was going to
- 52:49Speaker 2: be sent home last night.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Okay, so moving on, because we've got to get going.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Ezra and Dani, again, they're my favorite. They're my favorite
- 52:59Speaker 2: this season. He constantly shows us that it does not
- 53:05Speaker 2: matter what you've been given at birth.
- 53:08Speaker 1: It's what you do with it.
- 53:09Speaker 2: And he is just so amazing, so easy to love.
- 53:15Speaker 1: I love their partnership. I think they're like the enthusiastically.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Brother-sister duo. They love each other so much, and they
- 53:26Speaker 2: have so much fun together. And he is so enjoying
- 53:30Speaker 2: the show and is so enthusiastic, and he's so freaking good.
- 53:34Speaker 2: I honestly call him to win the entire season.
- 53:37Speaker 1: What? Yes.
- 53:40Speaker 2: I feel like he's my favorite.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:44Speaker 3: So, okay, everyone. Trista just called it. You think that
- 53:49Speaker 3: he'll be it.
- 53:50Speaker 1: I do. I think he will be it. I don't know.
- 53:53Speaker 1: I hope he's it.
- 53:54Speaker 2: I feel like he's giving everything that we need him
- 53:58Speaker 2: to give. He's such a fan favorite. At least he's mine.
- 54:01Speaker 2: And I have a feeling that he's a lot of
- 54:03Speaker 2: people too. He's also doing a really good job of
- 54:06Speaker 2: social media. And I think in today's day and age,
- 54:09Speaker 2: that is so important to winning this show. Like Julia
- 54:13Speaker 2: was saying that she was off of like social media
- 54:16Speaker 2: this week. And I think it affected her. I think
- 54:19Speaker 2: you have to keep up with the fans and Ezra
- 54:22Speaker 2: and Danny are doing a great job of that.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Okay, you've heard it here, people. Trista is calling it.
- 54:27Speaker 3: I'm not ready to call my winner yet, Trista, because
- 54:30Speaker 3: I don't like to be wrong.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't care. I just want him to win.
- 54:34Speaker 1: If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. There you have it, folks.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Trista is calling Ezra to win the Mirrorball trophy at
- 54:41Speaker 3: the end of this.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Okay. All right.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Okay, so we got to close out, but we unfortunately
- 54:48Speaker 2: had to say goodbye.
- 54:50Speaker 1: There were three in the lower....
- 54:53Speaker 2: Oh my God, I cannot speak today. There were three
- 54:56Speaker 2: in the bottom three. We had Guillermo, we had Jackson,
- 55:00Speaker 2: and we had Taylor, and Taylor ended up going home.
- 55:02Speaker 2: I have to point out really quickly, I don't know
- 55:05Speaker 2: if you were watching, but when they announced Taylor was
- 55:10Speaker 2: the one that would be going home, Britt multiple times
- 55:15Speaker 2: to Taylor said, I'm so sorry.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
- 55:20Speaker 2: And I was like, why are you apologizing? She was
- 55:24Speaker 2: taking so much of that, internalizing it.
- 55:29Speaker 1: It was like she was just being responsible for it.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It was all her fault. I know. I don't think
- 55:33Speaker 1: it was her fault, truly.
- 55:35Speaker 3: So I'm wondering if there is something that we didn't
- 55:38Speaker 3: see as viewers, because also at the end, when they
- 55:41Speaker 3: talk to them or whatever, and then as they're signing
- 55:43Speaker 3: off the show, when all of the other dancers come out,
- 55:46Speaker 3: I'm not sure if you caught this.
- 55:48Speaker 1: I caught it right away.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Jenna is the first one who comes up to her
- 55:51Speaker 3: and she looks completely bug-eyed, shocked, but you see her
- 55:55Speaker 3: and I could not figure out what she was saying,
- 55:57Speaker 3: but she is whispering something to her.
- 56:01Speaker 1: And I don't know what she said. I'd love to know.
- 56:03Speaker 1: I'd love to know what she said. If we need
- 56:06Speaker 1: to go back and.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Replay that, I tried to see if I could figure
- 56:09Speaker 3: it out, but there's something going on there that I
- 56:12Speaker 3: don't think we know about.
- 56:13Speaker 2: I agree. They were hugging for a really long time.
- 56:17Speaker 2: There's a group of people around them, and Jenna would
- 56:20Speaker 2: not let go because they were having a personal conversation.
- 56:24Speaker 3: But even there, Trista, you saw the connection with her,
- 56:28Speaker 3: with everyone else, not with the two of them. When
- 56:30Speaker 3: they're sent home and the two of them, I mean,
- 56:32Speaker 3: you see them hug, obviously. But even when they interview them,
- 56:35Speaker 3: he's not like, listen, she's the greatest partner. She did
- 56:37Speaker 3: a fantastic job. I'm so grateful, blah, blah, blah. She
- 56:41Speaker 3: says it about him that she is grateful.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Yeah. So I don't know if it's just a miss.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like there's more that we
- 56:47Speaker 1: don't know about. And maybe we'll never know, but that's
- 56:51Speaker 1: okay because I'm going to keep watching. I won't be
- 56:53Speaker 1: able to sleep at night. All right, everyone.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to the most dramatic dance floor ever.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Hopefully you'll continue to tune in wherever you listen to
- 57:05Speaker 2: podcasts at Almost Famous Podcast. Deanna, love our time together.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Thanks for listening, everybody.
- 57:12Speaker 3: Bye. Thank you.
