- 0:00Speaker 1: Dead, the sun is shining down cloud in the sky.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We wouldn't know because we're so happy inside.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Some people on some skis, but.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We would rather sit on down and talk.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Some movies.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Were the evid Indoorsmen. Come listen to our show. We're
- 0:22Speaker 1: the evident indoorsmen at home, are on the go. We're
- 0:26Speaker 1: the evidendoors man. We hope you love it, so come
- 0:31Speaker 1: on in and stay. We'll do our best to make
- 0:35Speaker 1: use my indoors man.
- 0:40Speaker 2: What is happening?
- 0:41Speaker 3: I'm Rob Lindquist, I'm we are the evid indoors Man.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Hi pal, Hi.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Buddy, how are you?
- 0:50Speaker 2: I'm good man, just living the dream up here. It's
- 0:54Speaker 2: chilly outside for those who are definitely wondering. Yeah, I
- 0:59Speaker 2: don't know. That's good. How are you? I'm good. I
- 1:03Speaker 2: just got back from being up in your neck of
- 1:07Speaker 2: the woods. Crazy. How was it? Which was Lake of
- 1:10Speaker 2: the Woods. Nailed it? It was fun.
- 1:15Speaker 4: So me and my buddy Jared, you know, Jarrett, Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 4: we went. We've been friends since junior high, long time,
- 1:24Speaker 4: and we don't get to see each other very often.
- 1:26Speaker 4: And I had been a hankering. I'd had a hankering
- 1:30Speaker 4: for fishing. I miss fishing, and I have not gone ice.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Fishing the last few years.
- 1:37Speaker 4: So I super last minute asked Jarrett if he wanted
- 1:40Speaker 4: to go and do a trip with me, and we.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Drove six hours. He was down and we fished a
- 1:47Speaker 3: couple of days. We caught a bunch of fish.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Cool.
- 1:51Speaker 4: I brought a bunch back so we can we can
- 1:53Speaker 4: do a little fish fry fun and yeah it was.
- 1:57Speaker 4: It was a lot of talking.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It was just two dudes, just six hours on the
- 2:01Speaker 3: way up about just talking. That's fun and yeah, yeah
- 2:07Speaker 3: it was.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It was successful. It was fun. That's great, dude, love it.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it was pretty cool. We went to Sportsman's Lodge
- 2:14Speaker 3: up there.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Love it and uh yeah, that's about all I have
- 2:19Speaker 4: to say about that.
- 2:20Speaker 2: How did you like the lodge? The lodgers? Okay, this
- 2:24Speaker 2: is the first time I stayed in the lodge. I
- 2:26Speaker 2: usually stay in a villa. Of course you do obviously,
- 2:30Speaker 2: So it was it was a step down, considerable step down.
- 2:33Speaker 2: How many people did you scream at asking if they
- 2:36Speaker 2: knew who you were? Zero people?
- 2:42Speaker 4: But we there was there was some comedy comedy theres
- 2:45Speaker 4: that happened that first day. They had a bunch of
- 2:49Speaker 4: vehicles like breakdown. They call them bomb of deers.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they looked like a school bus on like yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 2: our snowmobile.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, but they are silly. They're silly vehicles. And
- 3:04Speaker 4: three of them broke down all the way out, and
- 3:08Speaker 4: so yeah, it was a lot of that. We missed,
- 3:11Speaker 4: like two hours of fishing in the morning, so they
- 3:14Speaker 4: gave us a little bit of a discount.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I bet.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it is surprisingly pretty expensive to do that trip,
- 3:20Speaker 3: but it's the only way to do ice fishing, and
- 3:24Speaker 3: you know, not have to go out and dig your
- 3:26Speaker 3: own holes and like really rough it, you know what
- 3:29Speaker 3: I mean.
- 3:30Speaker 2: So it's about I know what you mean. Yeah, but yes,
- 3:34Speaker 2: I'm with you. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 3:35Speaker 4: It's about the only way that I would want to
- 3:37Speaker 4: do it. The people that really go out and do it,
- 3:39Speaker 4: they like, like it's a lot of work. And I
- 3:43Speaker 4: don't know.
- 3:44Speaker 2: My brother, dude, he loves doing that stuff.
- 3:46Speaker 3: My cousin and my uncle love doing that too, But
- 3:49Speaker 3: I just.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Want all that's just camping. So it's the same.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I like it, but I don't know that
- 3:57Speaker 4: I would like it enough to do all that work.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, for sure.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But I'm back nice. Well, I want to back about
- 4:04Speaker 3: some movies. What was the last movie you watched?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Last movie I watched? I went to the theater and
- 4:09Speaker 2: saw Marty Supreme. Oh I saw that you did. I
- 4:15Speaker 2: I would love to hear what you think, but I
- 4:17Speaker 2: can go first. You go first. This is a Safty movie.
- 4:22Speaker 2: This is Josh Safty because they usually they directed as
- 4:26Speaker 2: a crew, right, but they've split to do maybe some
- 4:29Speaker 2: separate projects. It is stressful, like a Safty movie always is.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I thought Shallamy was really good playing a very unlikable character.
- 4:41Speaker 2: For the most part, I don't know. Their movies are
- 4:45Speaker 2: so hard for me. I don't like them, but they
- 4:47Speaker 2: are really well done and they're very compelling. Like It
- 4:51Speaker 2: flew By, I was super interested. Gwyneth Peltrow played a
- 4:54Speaker 2: really weird, interesting character. I loved that Odessa as you on. Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 2: she's wonderful, I thought, and was really good in this.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I can't remember if I've seen her and stuff before
- 5:08Speaker 2: or not.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I wasn't familiar with her at all.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I didn't. I definitely didn't feel like I was, that's
- 5:12Speaker 2: for sure. But yeah, so I thought like everything in
- 5:16Speaker 2: it was great. I thought like the soundtrack was super interesting.
- 5:21Speaker 2: But they're just they're so stressful and like it's just
- 5:24Speaker 2: watching characters make bad choices over and over in like
- 5:28Speaker 2: the most distressing impossible, which is super compelling. Like I said,
- 5:33Speaker 2: but you know, I don't like I'm not going to
- 5:36Speaker 2: watch it again, no by any means, but really well done.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And I think shallumy Man. I mean, he's a tremendous actor.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Like he's he's so good in everything. It's really wild.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But that's my sort of like tap ed take because
- 5:54Speaker 2: I I would have a really hard time being like,
- 5:56Speaker 2: you should go watch this. It's a it's a blast,
- 5:59Speaker 2: you know, like it's just like, I don't know, but
- 6:02Speaker 2: what did you think he saw that we have the
- 6:04Speaker 2: exact same take. Really, that's so funny.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Like I didn't really care about the plot at all.
- 6:10Speaker 4: There was no part of it that I was like, God,
- 6:11Speaker 4: I hope he I hope he gets there.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And meant nothing to me. Really yeah, like but you know, interesting,
- 6:21Speaker 2: it was an interesting take. I guess it stressed me
- 6:23Speaker 2: out and it was impressive and I didn't care. Nice okay,
- 6:29Speaker 2: you know what I mean. We're in the same spot then, yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 2: Like I'm.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Really hoping it doesn't win Best Picture. I really, I
- 6:35Speaker 4: really hope it doesn't.
- 6:36Speaker 2: God, there's no way that can win Best Picture, right.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Oh sure, I'm sure it's going to be up. But
- 6:42Speaker 3: I don't want it to.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Be a bummer. I guess whatever. Those awards probably don't
- 6:46Speaker 2: actually matter and the things. But yeah, that would bum
- 6:49Speaker 2: me out. I know that. But you know, it was
- 6:54Speaker 2: really well done, like I said, and they had some
- 6:56Speaker 2: really cool shots in there. I remember thinking that a
- 6:59Speaker 2: couple of times. It's just so stressful. Yeah. So yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 2: are you counting that as the most recent movie you've saw? Well?
- 7:06Speaker 3: Do you think because I took the time. I took
- 7:11Speaker 3: so much time?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah, right before our last podcast, right, yes, to go
- 7:17Speaker 2: and see Avatar Fire and ash love it.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Tell me three hours and fifteen minutes, tell me some
- 7:25Speaker 3: of it. Okay, I'm just kidding. These Avatar movies are
- 7:29Speaker 3: just so long. That is my biggest critique.
- 7:32Speaker 2: They're just so The hours and seventeen minutes is nuts.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's nuts.
- 7:37Speaker 4: And it kind of felt similar to the last one
- 7:40Speaker 4: plot wise. Okay, there was a lot of story in
- 7:46Speaker 4: the middle where at like an hour and a half,
- 7:49Speaker 4: I was like, oh my god, I'm only an hour
- 7:53Speaker 4: and a half into this that to like look at
- 7:56Speaker 4: your watchers like you're just like really, But then I
- 8:02Speaker 4: swear after that, the next hour and a half just
- 8:05Speaker 4: flew by.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Oh cooks. After that, Oh that's cool, Okay, that's fun.
- 8:10Speaker 3: That's fine, because it's just such a visual spectacle, like
- 8:15Speaker 3: it's so much to look at, for sure, and so
- 8:19Speaker 3: in that sense, these movies are all pretty awesome, but
- 8:23Speaker 3: they're just really long winded and like it's definitely worth
- 8:28Speaker 3: watching on the big screen if you are willing to
- 8:31Speaker 3: sit through that, you know, I.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Know, And that's the problem I'm having this go because
- 8:35Speaker 2: I'm one hundred percent with you. Usually I'm like, I
- 8:38Speaker 2: don't think there's anything like all that crazy compelling about
- 8:41Speaker 2: the plots of these movies. Like, yeah, okay, whatever, they
- 8:45Speaker 2: are crazy cool to look at, but is that worth it?
- 8:49Speaker 2: You know, right, I just don't know.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah, they did a couple of really cool things towards
- 8:57Speaker 3: the end of this one. Yeah, that was really fine.
- 9:00Speaker 3: And I thought the coolest thing about that whole three
- 9:03Speaker 3: hours and seventeen minutes I was able to.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Make it the whole way without going to the bathroom. Wow,
- 9:07Speaker 4: which to be a personal feat at our at.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Our age, Rub that is becoming more elusive. I find
- 9:15Speaker 2: so good for you.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Nicely didn't drink a thing because I was just like,
- 9:19Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to go twice.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I'm a little worried that that means you were dehydrated,
- 9:23Speaker 2: but we can little dehydrated. It's like, this is pretty
- 9:27Speaker 2: good as you wither away to nothing.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Well, that's cool, man, I'm glad you saw that.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I do. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if
- 9:38Speaker 2: it's gonna happen or not, but I'm sure I'll see
- 9:40Speaker 2: you at some point. I hear you. I was glad
- 9:42Speaker 2: that I went, Yeah, I was. I love that.
- 9:44Speaker 3: That's fun, but yeah, I'll probably never see it again.
- 9:48Speaker 3: What what are you streaming?
- 9:51Speaker 2: I streamed a movie that's been recommended on here a
- 9:54Speaker 2: couple of times, I think, at least for sure. Once
- 9:59Speaker 2: from two.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Ten I streamed Unstoppable. Ooh nice, Yeah, the Old Train movie.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Is that Ridley Scott or is that the other Scott?
- 10:10Speaker 4: Tony Tony Scott? And that was like his last movie,
- 10:13Speaker 4: wasn't it?
- 10:14Speaker 2: I think so? And are they related? I don't even know.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm looking that up you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Unstoppable is a film with Danzel Washington and Christopher Pine,
- 10:27Speaker 2: also Rosario Dawson, Ethan super Lee. Those are kind of
- 10:32Speaker 2: the main folks. And to Train or two, it's all
- 10:36Speaker 2: about a train that's kind of taken off on its
- 10:38Speaker 2: own and chaos ensues from there.
- 10:43Speaker 3: It ever, it's an interesting film.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I watched it because it was on Tarantino's like top
- 10:51Speaker 2: ten list, I think, or something that's crazy to me,
- 10:55Speaker 2: and so I was like, well, other people have recommended
- 10:58Speaker 2: because I think you said it was fun, I think,
- 11:00Speaker 2: and he said it was fun.
- 11:01Speaker 3: But like a top ten movie.
- 11:03Speaker 2: It's definitely not that for me. But I was super intrigued, like, Okay,
- 11:07Speaker 2: why does he think this. He's kind of a weirdo anyway,
- 11:09Speaker 2: so who knows. But it is a really fun movie
- 11:13Speaker 2: quality action flick. It is melodramatic as hell in points,
- 11:17Speaker 2: but like that's fine. It's really fun. Those two actors
- 11:21Speaker 2: are great together. Chris Pine and Denzel are awesome in general,
- 11:25Speaker 2: and they're great in this. Rosaria Dawson is super fun.
- 11:28Speaker 2: She's kind of like the back at the train yard,
- 11:30Speaker 2: trying to like logistically get keep everything in line and stuff.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I really liked it. I thought it was really fun.
- 11:37Speaker 2: They shot some stuff, super interestingly, like all the money
- 11:42Speaker 2: you must have went into the trains and the shots
- 11:45Speaker 2: of the trains because they're pretty wild. They do that
- 11:48Speaker 2: like slow motion, choppy shot a lot, which is right.
- 11:53Speaker 2: It feels dated at this point. I'm sure it was
- 11:55Speaker 2: super dope, but that you know, at that point in
- 11:57Speaker 2: twenty ten, but like now, I'm just like, I don't know,
- 12:00Speaker 2: it seems of a time to me a little bit.
- 12:03Speaker 2: But I definitely liked it, Like I had a great time.
- 12:06Speaker 2: It kept my interest the entire time. This one's quick.
- 12:09Speaker 2: It's like ninety eight minutes or something, so it was like, oh, yeah,
- 12:12Speaker 2: you're out, You're on with your day, you know. But
- 12:15Speaker 2: it was super fun. I really enjoyed it a lot.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It is not a top ten film for me of
- 12:20Speaker 2: all time by any meanings, No, but I did, like
- 12:24Speaker 2: I read maybe in that interview where he talked about
- 12:27Speaker 2: the top ten films, he was like the train it's
- 12:30Speaker 2: a monster flick and the train is the monster. And
- 12:32Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, that's a fun way to think
- 12:34Speaker 2: about it that I don't think I would have thought
- 12:36Speaker 2: about if I hadn't read this first. And it was
- 12:38Speaker 2: fun to watch it through that lens a little bit
- 12:40Speaker 2: so it's like the train could have been a shark,
- 12:42Speaker 2: it could have been you know, like anything really and
- 12:46Speaker 2: that was fun to see. And I can see, like,
- 12:49Speaker 2: technically it's probably super hard what they did, but I
- 12:51Speaker 2: don't know enough about that to really go right there.
- 12:54Speaker 3: So Tony Scott, it was his last film. And they
- 12:57Speaker 3: are brothers.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know that they were brothers. They're bros. Interesting,
- 13:02Speaker 2: they love an action flick, so good for them. But yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 2: so I liked it. It was fun. Definitely. We're checking out.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I think it's on Hulu is where I watched it,
- 13:12Speaker 2: So check it out if you want to want to
- 13:15Speaker 2: see a nice action feel sweet. Yeah, how about you?
- 13:18Speaker 2: What do you storyming? Well?
- 13:20Speaker 4: I feel like this is appropriate to do since we're
- 13:23Speaker 4: going to be talking about a pretty dumb comedy.
- 13:25Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 13:26Speaker 4: Jared and I went on Prime last night and we
- 13:29Speaker 4: watched the movie Hot Rod.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So fun, such a fun buddies hanging out so good.
- 13:36Speaker 3: We're laughing so hard.
- 13:38Speaker 2: But yeah, this this.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Movie is making fun of eighties movies. It's super over
- 13:42Speaker 4: the top. There are a few scenes in that.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Movie that just absolutely destroy me.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I was just.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Laughing so hard.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Those Lonely Island dudes Andy Samberg, Yorma Taconi, and Kiva Schaeffer.
- 13:53Speaker 4: They just hit a funny bone.
- 13:55Speaker 2: A very specific style of humor. But if that's your style,
- 13:58Speaker 2: you're it is, You're in great shape, you know what
- 14:00Speaker 2: I mean? It like really is.
- 14:03Speaker 3: But I mean, yes, some people with you. But the
- 14:05Speaker 3: comedy is so really effective.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I hear you. But yeah the plot.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Andy Sandberg plays a stuntman and he's going to try
- 14:14Speaker 4: and jump fifteen buses to raise money for his stepdad's
- 14:18Speaker 4: heart transplant. Pretty dumb premise. Yeah, but his whole reason
- 14:24Speaker 4: for wanting to do that is so that he could
- 14:26Speaker 4: finally beat him up.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Oh so it's a pretty pretty dumb premise.
- 14:35Speaker 4: That's exactly what it is. It is a really dumb movie.
- 14:39Speaker 4: But I find it to be so funny.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I do think I've seen it before, and I think
- 14:43Speaker 2: I liked it. Okay, it was definitely one of those
- 14:46Speaker 2: like this is dumb, but I had a very nice time, dude.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I mean, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it on the
- 14:51Speaker 4: pod when I saw it the first time, because I
- 14:53Speaker 4: did not see it when it came out, and then
- 14:56Speaker 4: a couple of years ago, I was at a hotel
- 14:59Speaker 4: that had it on and I was like, oh God,
- 15:02Speaker 4: I need to watch this.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I've always wanted to watch it.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and fun.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I just laughed out loud, you know, by myself, which is.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Not always super easy, right Yeah. Fun. Yeah. If you
- 15:13Speaker 2: like some goofy comedies that's on Prime Prime, well, very good.
- 15:19Speaker 2: We will look forward to that. Greg, let's do some plugs.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I guess convince us as always over on the old
- 15:24Speaker 2: Twitter machiner at abbot Indorsman with a Z go to
- 15:28Speaker 2: Facebook dot com slash the ab Indorsman. We are on Instagram, TikTok,
- 15:32Speaker 2: blue Sky Threads. We're all over the place, gang. But
- 15:35Speaker 2: if you really want to hang out and be part
- 15:37Speaker 2: of the crew, the spot.
- 15:38Speaker 3: To go Patreon dot com slash the avid Indoorsman. It's
- 15:43Speaker 3: a great time on Patreon. We love our patrons.
- 15:46Speaker 4: We we like to give him a lot of perks,
- 15:48Speaker 4: and one of those is getting a shout out right here.
- 15:50Speaker 4: So let's give it up for Marsha Greasy, Act, Mary Fox,
- 15:53Speaker 4: Nannette Walkley, Johem Brostad, deb Olk, Noel Flores and Lorraine Lout.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Thank you so much for your patronage. Yeah, another perk
- 16:04Speaker 4: that we'd like to give our patrons is an extended
- 16:07Speaker 4: version of every episode that we put out. We'll usually
- 16:10Speaker 4: top do a top five draft that pertains to the
- 16:12Speaker 4: movie we're talking about, and for this one, you came
- 16:16Speaker 4: up with this one.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I did our top five dumbest movies that we like. Yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 2: and I reached out to a group chat or to
- 16:26Speaker 2: just wondering if if I was forgetting any and I
- 16:29Speaker 2: found out this draft is going to hurt my feelings.
- 16:31Speaker 2: So that's really fun. Okay, they didn't. They didn't really
- 16:37Speaker 2: have anything. They just said movies that I think are
- 16:39Speaker 2: actually good that I really liked. So here we are nice. Yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 2: but I'm excited. It's gonna be fun, very subjective, this
- 16:49Speaker 2: this list will be so yeah, I was kind of.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, maybe better parameters.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:58Speaker 4: I was going to say that too, because like, I
- 17:00Speaker 4: just feel like most of the comedies, I like, if
- 17:02Speaker 4: you look at it on paper, it's pretty dumb, you
- 17:06Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Like it's tough to it's tough. We can get into
- 17:09Speaker 2: it later. But what I did was movies that I
- 17:12Speaker 2: literally am like, I know this isn't good. And also
- 17:15Speaker 2: I do still enjoy it, you know what I mean.
- 17:17Speaker 2: So it was like, yeah, yeah, I have to also
- 17:20Speaker 2: agree are not good, but I really which is kind
- 17:25Speaker 2: of a weird way of spinning it.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, Okay, I can try and go through
- 17:30Speaker 3: that lens.
- 17:31Speaker 2: We'll see. Well, we'll chat it out before the poduct.
- 17:33Speaker 2: You can let the patrons hear that behind the scenes stuff,
- 17:38Speaker 2: juicy stuff over there. If you're not convinced to go
- 17:42Speaker 2: to patreon dot com slash you have an endorsement after that.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I don't know what's gonna convince. Yeah, we're selling it.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Who We are here today to talk about a movie
- 17:57Speaker 2: that is pretty dumb and pretty silly, but I do
- 18:00Speaker 2: really like it. Spoiler alert. It is really thirtieth anniversary
- 18:05Speaker 2: of Biodome, But you do Biodome and it's just you
- 18:10Speaker 2: and me today. Pal. Just just sure you are the
- 18:13Speaker 2: Bud to my Wait, what are their two names.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Bud Buddon, Doyle Doyle.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Do you think you're more of a Bud or more
- 18:20Speaker 2: of a Doyle. I think you're a Bud.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I think between us, I'm the Doyle noy I.
- 18:28Speaker 3: I don't think either of us are either.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Get my hand on a lot of things.
- 18:31Speaker 3: No, no, yeah, we don't have the ecological background to
- 18:38Speaker 3: be either of them.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Ah right, but do you want to get a started
- 18:43Speaker 2: peal with? Actually, I'm going to turn my light on.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Will you while I'm doing that? Get us started with
- 18:47Speaker 2: a rough snopsis?
- 18:49Speaker 3: Okay, I will Budding Doyle get simultaneously dumped by their
- 18:56Speaker 3: eco conscious girlfriends Monique and Jin in the middle of
- 18:59Speaker 3: the desert. Needing a bathroom, the two friends enter what
- 19:03Speaker 3: they think is a mall, but soon realize is a
- 19:06Speaker 3: high profile secure biological experiment. As they engage in a
- 19:11Speaker 3: year long battle with doctor Faulkner and the other scientists,
- 19:15Speaker 3: budd and Doyle are forced to confront the recklessness of
- 19:19Speaker 3: their behavior.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Oo, nicely done, nicely done.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I'm excited for you to tell the folks this's rotten
- 19:28Speaker 3: Tomatoes calling.
- 19:29Speaker 2: But it is something rough Okay, rotten tomatoes critics have
- 19:35Speaker 2: it coming in at has to be our lowest, right,
- 19:38Speaker 2: I mean it has to be. I don't know how
- 19:40Speaker 2: it could be any lower. Four percent, not four not
- 19:44Speaker 2: fourteen four four one pap, We'll get you to the
- 19:51Speaker 2: Oh man, that's bad, real bad. Also, are there wrong?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Audience members, though, have it coming in at fifty one
- 19:59Speaker 2: person end.
- 20:00Speaker 3: It's a pretty big swing.
- 20:01Speaker 2: That's a big swing.
- 20:03Speaker 4: It's still you know, out of one hundred, it's still
- 20:06Speaker 4: an F minus.
- 20:07Speaker 2: So not one person more likes it than hates it? Right, Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 2: should we have done an episode on it? Who can tell?
- 20:21Speaker 2: Let's go in and hear what you think about. So
- 20:23Speaker 2: it's time for our hot take. Hot take. Watch, that's
- 20:29Speaker 2: a hot take.
- 20:31Speaker 3: That's a hot take.
- 20:31Speaker 2: So water with Rob Walleye was it some maybe the
- 20:45Speaker 2: grossest bit of this whole movie, which is something I
- 20:49Speaker 2: can go first, I loved this movie as a young man.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Upon rewatch, It's easy to see why. A lot of
- 20:57Speaker 2: fart jokes, lots lots of art jokes, a lot of silliness,
- 21:04Speaker 2: very juvenile, uh pretty silly, dumb comedy. Honestly, I did
- 21:10Speaker 2: still enjoy this rewatch, but I definitely was like, I
- 21:14Speaker 2: may be too old for this movie. Oh I haven't
- 21:17Speaker 2: seen No Question in quite some time, and I was
- 21:20Speaker 2: just like, oh boy, Like all I could think about
- 21:23Speaker 2: was like, I bet my parents hated this movie when
- 21:28Speaker 2: I watched it because it's so dumb. Yes, yes, I
- 21:33Speaker 2: still think Pauly Short's really funny. I still think he's
- 21:36Speaker 2: very charismatic. I don't know what the Baldwin guy was
- 21:39Speaker 2: doing during this, but that's cool. A lot of things
- 21:44Speaker 2: it's not a This is a prime example and probably
- 21:47Speaker 2: why I thought up the draft because this movie sucks
- 21:50Speaker 2: and I do still enjoy it. Right, it's really bad. Yes,
- 21:56Speaker 2: it has some fun lines though. I'm excited to hear
- 21:59Speaker 2: what you think. But my my hottest take is hot
- 22:02Speaker 2: take like two more Kennedy assassination jokes than I thought
- 22:09Speaker 2: we would get in this movie, which.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I thought was up into the left.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And then there's one other comment when the firecrackers go
- 22:19Speaker 2: off when they're trying to sneak in to go to
- 22:21Speaker 2: the bathroom and the lady just goes, oh my god,
- 22:24Speaker 2: it's a grassy knoll and the cop goes, holy Kennedy.
- 22:28Speaker 2: He runs off, and I was just like, what are
- 22:31Speaker 2: we doing? Why? Why was that the thing? Yeah? Strange,
- 22:36Speaker 2: it was very wild, and uh yeah, so that's my
- 22:40Speaker 2: hottest teake. I guess that's a hot take. Bro, what
- 22:43Speaker 2: didn't you think? And I apologize if I made you
- 22:47Speaker 2: watch this movie. No, no, you're good.
- 22:51Speaker 4: So I kept this one pretty close to the vest.
- 22:55Speaker 3: My scorching hot take.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Oh boy, this is my least favorite movie we've ever
- 23:00Speaker 4: on an episode on.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's probably true.
- 23:05Speaker 4: I now to be fair, and I'm not judging you
- 23:09Speaker 4: for liking it.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I like a lot of really movies, as you.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Know, did you watch this a young man?
- 23:14Speaker 4: So I'm going into sorry I and I even like
- 23:20Speaker 4: the poly Shore movies for this part, but I think
- 23:24Speaker 4: our relatively small age gap really comes into play with
- 23:27Speaker 4: this movie big time. I thought it was bad when
- 23:31Speaker 4: it came out, so I don't have like the nostalgias
- 23:34Speaker 4: enjoying reliving it again. But my biggest issue, and I
- 23:37Speaker 4: know that you feel this way just from your hot take,
- 23:40Speaker 4: aside from a ridiculous plot, which I can deal with.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Like in comedy, the plot doesn't have to make sense.
- 23:46Speaker 4: That's fine, right, Yeah, No, is that Polly Shore is
- 23:51Speaker 4: a one of one. Nobody can pull off his brand.
- 23:55Speaker 4: And they tried to make Stephen Baldwin harness that like
- 23:59Speaker 4: crazy easy, original Polyshore energy, and it just doesn't work
- 24:05Speaker 4: for me on that Like, every single thing that Steven
- 24:10Speaker 4: Baldwin does in this movie is cringey to me.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Everything, and he's in the movie a lot, so it's
- 24:18Speaker 2: just like I'm just like the whole.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Time, and like, I don't think they thought they were
- 24:25Speaker 4: making Citizen Kane here. At one point, Gary Shore looks
- 24:28Speaker 4: into the camera and he says, sometimes stupid can be
- 24:32Speaker 4: pretty cool, And I think that's what they were going for,
- 24:36Speaker 4: I guess, But I just didn't find a lot of
- 24:39Speaker 4: the stuff to be funny. And when it's a pretty
- 24:41Speaker 4: dumb comedy, I can overlook that dumb plot when I'm
- 24:45Speaker 4: laughing a bunch, and because of Stephen Baldwin, I wasn't
- 24:49Speaker 4: laughing really much at all.
- 24:51Speaker 2: There's also just not a ton of bits in it, like.
- 24:54Speaker 4: There's not well, but the bits that they have are
- 24:57Speaker 4: like that farting bit that's just kind of gross.
- 25:00Speaker 3: It's and it's a lot of gross. I'm not great
- 25:03Speaker 3: with like gross.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Maybe it's part of that like gross out humor, like uh,
- 25:08Speaker 2: like ren and stimpy. I never got it because it
- 25:11Speaker 2: was not really It kind of got us to the
- 25:14Speaker 2: what's the Freddie Got fingered Got Tom Green Tom Green Show.
- 25:18Speaker 2: We were kind of in a little moment of that. Yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 2: maybe after the grunge hair or during it or so,
- 25:24Speaker 2: I don't really know, but.
- 25:25Speaker 4: That's a good analogy between poly Shore and Tom Green
- 25:28Speaker 4: they both had that just like wowzany one of wine.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Very interesting but also like and and sometimes they can
- 25:37Speaker 2: get me so well that sometimes I'm just like, Okay,
- 25:40Speaker 2: what are we doing? Sorry I talked during I know.
- 25:44Speaker 4: That's that's exactly what I was feeling. So yeah, it
- 25:49Speaker 4: was just kind of gross. Oh another really gross thing.
- 25:51Speaker 4: He's like he's chewing his brother's toenail.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And I was literally literally had.
- 25:58Speaker 3: The nail in his mouth like you saw it, and I.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Was just like, this is gross. Except they're not even brothers, right,
- 26:07Speaker 2: They're just pals.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Are they not brothers?
- 26:10Speaker 2: I don't think so? Are they brothers? I thought they
- 26:13Speaker 2: were brothers. I feel because when I when it first
- 26:17Speaker 2: started since Bud Macintosh and Doyle Johnson, which I know
- 26:20Speaker 2: doesn't actually mean anything, but well then it makes even
- 26:24Speaker 2: less sense.
- 26:24Speaker 4: And why they tried to make Stephen Baldwin be Polly Shore,
- 26:28Speaker 4: because that just I mean, you probably have to be
- 26:31Speaker 4: strange to be like his like best buddy, but like.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I don't, I don't know, so it just didn't work
- 26:37Speaker 3: for me.
- 26:38Speaker 4: My favorite part, yes, was hearing Jack Black sing and
- 26:44Speaker 4: saying out loud, I think that's Jack Black and then
- 26:47Speaker 4: a super young tenacious reappeared and I was just I
- 26:51Speaker 4: was freaking out because I did not know that that
- 26:55Speaker 4: was like their first like big thing.
- 26:57Speaker 2: So I don't remember finding out. Like so, i'd seen
- 27:00Speaker 2: this movie and then it gotten into tea and then
- 27:04Speaker 2: like rewatch the movie and I was like, what the hell,
- 27:08Speaker 2: that's weird.
- 27:09Speaker 4: It was funny though, because they let him, They let
- 27:12Speaker 4: Jack Black have like a big crack in it, and
- 27:15Speaker 4: I'm sure, yeah, maybe he was like, oh, it's okay,
- 27:18Speaker 4: it's been a silly comedy and I want to keep
- 27:20Speaker 4: that in there.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Intentionally so good. I don't know, can he do that?
- 27:24Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah, I'm with you.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it was so fun to probably great.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Who cares? Yeah whatever? Yeah, yeah, so I love that.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I feel bad that I'm pooping on your parade here,
- 27:41Speaker 4: but I don't feel bad.
- 27:42Speaker 3: This parade was pretty poopy already. It turned poop.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I feel bad that I was probably the impetus for
- 27:48Speaker 2: making us watch this.
- 27:50Speaker 3: I was interested to rewatch it to see if I
- 27:53Speaker 3: still felt that way.
- 27:54Speaker 2: And I mean, it's whatever, but it's what it is.
- 27:59Speaker 2: But yeah, it is not great. We don't go negative
- 28:04Speaker 2: a lot in this pod, though, so I know, can.
- 28:06Speaker 3: I always feel it'll be interesting? I do feel like
- 28:09Speaker 3: I don't love being that.
- 28:10Speaker 2: What if this unlocks what the people want? Though? Like
- 28:13Speaker 2: what if we have to go hard negative all the time?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Now right?
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah, this this one's a turd, all right.
- 28:19Speaker 2: We gotta do the Batman. We got to talk the Joker.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Right right right?
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, the ones that you don't like yucky, super interesting. Well,
- 28:31Speaker 2: this could be a fast podcast, so get your convinced
- 28:34Speaker 2: and quick, guys, let's go and talk about our favorite
- 28:38Speaker 2: acting performance. Shelby Davis dude, the dude.
- 28:43Speaker 5: I'm the dude, So that's what you call me, you
- 28:46Speaker 5: know that, or his dude or duder or you know,
- 28:52Speaker 5: el dud reno if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And Rob, who is your dude and why is it?
- 28:56Speaker 2: Definitely Stephen Baldwin And it really is not that my
- 29:04Speaker 2: dude would be poly shore. I do find him.
- 29:08Speaker 4: I'm just fascinated with him and how it kind of
- 29:11Speaker 4: works it shouldn't, Yeah, and I find him to be
- 29:16Speaker 4: kind of entertaining probably my well, it is my least
- 29:21Speaker 4: favorite of the films that I've seen of him.
- 29:23Speaker 2: For sure, due partly because there's no one around him
- 29:27Speaker 2: acting as like a ballast for him, like.
- 29:31Speaker 3: He almost everybody needs to be straight. Yeah, everybody else needs.
- 29:35Speaker 4: To be straight, like in Son in Law or you know,
- 29:39Speaker 4: but he had too much everybody trying to be funny
- 29:42Speaker 4: and even the the like scientists like goes mad and
- 29:47Speaker 4: so he's way off the wall crazy too, and it's
- 29:50Speaker 4: just like that's too much, it's too much. Agreed, So
- 29:53Speaker 4: poly Shore, he had the most funny lines.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he's definitely who I picked as well. I think
- 29:58Speaker 2: he is really funny. It would be interesting to look
- 30:01Speaker 2: at a timeline of where does this fall in Like
- 30:04Speaker 2: all his movies, this is towards the end, like was
- 30:06Speaker 2: he just tried to cash another track? What? You know?
- 30:08Speaker 2: What was going on?
- 30:09Speaker 3: I feel like this was pretty early polysh Well, let
- 30:11Speaker 3: me I'll just go look. But yeah, yeah, I think so.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I just don't know enough.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I remember in Sino man had to have been Man
- 30:21Speaker 3: was definitely before, yeah, because he was he was not
- 30:25Speaker 3: like the main focus. He was just the like comedic sidekick.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Yeah. And in Sino Man must have been also before
- 30:32Speaker 2: in the Army Now because they make an Zeno Men
- 30:35Speaker 2: reference in it.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Okay, So oh you know what, this is a little later,
- 30:40Speaker 4: so like man son in law in the Army now.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Jerry Duty, then Biodome. Yeah so yeah, that's even.
- 30:48Speaker 4: More confusing on why we tried to have him buddy
- 30:51Speaker 4: buddy with somebody.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I just that's interesting. But anyhow, that that's why I
- 30:59Speaker 2: picked this. Well, I do think I think he's pretty charming.
- 31:02Speaker 2: I think he's pretty funny, especially when you get well,
- 31:06Speaker 2: I'm not going to talk about other movies of his,
- 31:08Speaker 2: but I think it works better, like you said, when
- 31:10Speaker 2: there's a cast around him that's actually doing stuff. I
- 31:13Speaker 2: forgot how little the rest of the people did. Well,
- 31:17Speaker 2: maybe this is a good transition into the next part.
- 31:19Speaker 2: But shall we name the Tucci the Tucci? I had
- 31:25Speaker 2: a hard time with this because I kind of forgot
- 31:27Speaker 2: how little folks did in this movie other than them,
- 31:30Speaker 2: other than but yeah, William Atherton, I thought was really
- 31:36Speaker 2: was the closest to being interesting. Is sort of the
- 31:38Speaker 2: bad guy in it. Yeah, why did he get so
- 31:42Speaker 2: crazy quick? I know he was, but like, why they
- 31:46Speaker 2: couldn't give us two more minutes of showing him to
- 31:49Speaker 2: send into madness or something? Yeah? Really just like no,
- 31:53Speaker 2: I'm crazy? Yeah, it really he went over the edge.
- 31:57Speaker 2: You know, those smart guys, they go crazy. That's why
- 31:59Speaker 2: I've tried to be that. I do like Joey Lauren Adams.
- 32:05Speaker 3: She's for sure my two.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I loved her. I liked her in almost everything I've
- 32:10Speaker 2: seen her, and I feel like I think she's saying
- 32:12Speaker 2: she's got that weird voice, but she's pretty believable. She's like,
- 32:17Speaker 2: I don't know, like her characters always just seemed legit
- 32:19Speaker 2: and like a real person you could know, right, And
- 32:22Speaker 2: she's a beautiful young lady, but not like I don't know,
- 32:26Speaker 2: like it's like a realistic beauty or something. I don't
- 32:29Speaker 2: know what the right way to say it is. But
- 32:31Speaker 2: I really like her. I think she's good. Same.
- 32:34Speaker 4: I liked her a lot, and she kind of one nody,
- 32:37Speaker 4: but that's like what they wrote for her, and she's it.
- 32:40Speaker 2: For like fifteen minutes maybe totally, you know.
- 32:43Speaker 3: So yeah, but I thought she did the best anyone
- 32:46Speaker 3: possibly could.
- 32:47Speaker 4: And it's believable that Polly Shore would stop making out
- 32:52Speaker 4: with Kylie Minogue, who I had no idea that was
- 32:55Speaker 4: Kylie Minogue. Oh you didn't, Oh fine, I had no idea.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I didn't recognize her even for a second until I
- 33:00Speaker 3: saw this cast. But the fact that he would stop.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Making out for someone, you know, yeah, yeah, so that
- 33:09Speaker 4: was the only realistic thing there. But Joey Learn Adams
- 33:12Speaker 4: and I Love You mentioned her goofy voice. I love
- 33:15Speaker 4: that he kind of like knocked.
- 33:16Speaker 3: It's really yeah, that feels.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Very believable in like a relationship, you know, yeah.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Or even improvy even it felt like but yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 4: So yeah, she was mine. Runner up would be Kylie
- 33:31Speaker 4: Minogue and the Dara Tomanovich.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Yeah, beautiful son.
- 33:39Speaker 4: They they really didn't give them much though, And you
- 33:43Speaker 4: know the fact that then after they were just being
- 33:46Speaker 4: so dumb for so long and then decide to go
- 33:50Speaker 4: in and make out, it is so dumb.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Just dumb. Just not enough time they need. It needed
- 33:55Speaker 2: to be two hours this movie to really give up.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, this would have been incredible.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I'm so sorry I watched this. You get to pick
- 34:05Speaker 2: anything you need me to watch this, dude.
- 34:08Speaker 4: The next movie we're going to watch is literally just
- 34:12Speaker 4: very fair.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Yeah spoiler alert, it's not going to be a terrible
- 34:17Speaker 2: different dude.
- 34:19Speaker 4: I feel bad for our viewers just for the fact
- 34:22Speaker 4: that since the New Year, we've were only watching really
- 34:28Speaker 4: dumb movies.
- 34:28Speaker 2: We started off with Black Sheep.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Now it's biodome and spoiler alert, the next one will
- 34:34Speaker 4: be Saving Silverman, which is the epitome of a dumb comedy.
- 34:38Speaker 2: It is, it is, it's got Yeah, that's interesting. Well,
- 34:42Speaker 2: this s where we were thirty years ago, right right,
- 34:45Speaker 2: fifteen and seventeen or yeah?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Yeah, wait, no, no, no, no, no, yeah this. I was
- 34:52Speaker 3: twelve in this one.
- 34:53Speaker 2: That's right, that's how math works. Yeah, silly, Oh I
- 34:59Speaker 2: was so I was ten eleven? That makes sense. Actually, no,
- 35:03Speaker 2: you would.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Have been, wouldn't you have only been?
- 35:06Speaker 2: Yeah? Ten? Nine or ten?
- 35:08Speaker 3: Well, this was ninety so this came out a winter
- 35:10Speaker 3: of ninety six, like right.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so with birthdays and stuff. Yeah, crazy, Yeah, that
- 35:16Speaker 2: does make sense why I liked it. They were farting
- 35:19Speaker 2: and I was like, great.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Well dude, I mean I was only twelve, and I
- 35:22Speaker 3: was too high brow for this at twelve.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's just weird. It's just weird.
- 35:29Speaker 2: What's funny? What you find funny and what you done? Absolutely,
- 35:32Speaker 2: and you know what other options at that point, you know,
- 35:36Speaker 2: enjoy what you got in front of you. I also
- 35:38Speaker 2: wanted to Henry Gibson's in this.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I put him.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Does you know him from being the head Nazi? I
- 35:47Speaker 2: believe in uh brothers. I know him better from wedding
- 35:50Speaker 2: crashers at least first for wedding crashers. Yes, because I
- 35:53Speaker 2: want to lose brothers later. I think we did right
- 35:56Speaker 2: during that one. But he was fun. He didn't really
- 35:59Speaker 2: get to do much in this either. The cigarette bit
- 36:02Speaker 2: was kind of funny, Yeah, but that was it. Also,
- 36:06Speaker 2: Phil Lamar for like a second reading the letters. Yeah,
- 36:10Speaker 2: I didn't remember him in this at all. No. Same
- 36:13Speaker 2: And the other one is the big one. You said,
- 36:16Speaker 2: you know Jackson and.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Apparently Roger Clinton. I didn't even really know that was him.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I don't know who that is.
- 36:25Speaker 3: I felt like I should Bill Clinton's brother.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Oh really? Oh yeah, okay, No, I didn't realize who
- 36:33Speaker 2: that was even. Yeah. Wow, he's like the teacher or
- 36:36Speaker 2: whatever that is, like, yeah, weird. Is there anyone else?
- 36:43Speaker 2: It's pretty small? Is it pretty pretty small? Shout out
- 36:49Speaker 2: to the big gulp or whatever they're drinking. That's the
- 36:52Speaker 2: best other cast member. Let's go. Let's talk about our
- 36:56Speaker 2: favorite scene next. It's time to name the danger is.
- 37:01Speaker 3: So Dingas is quite simple, really ingus, dingus.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I can talk about my dingus all night long. I'm
- 37:07Speaker 2: super interesting to hear what you think. Oh dude, this
- 37:11Speaker 2: is tough.
- 37:12Speaker 4: So the most excited I got I've already thrown out
- 37:16Speaker 4: is when I saw Tenaciously.
- 37:17Speaker 2: It's a great one. It's a beautiful one.
- 37:19Speaker 3: So that's for sure.
- 37:21Speaker 4: If I had to do a runner up, it's when
- 37:24Speaker 4: Polly Shore knocks out Stephen Baldwin at the book, because
- 37:26Speaker 4: he just lays him out and then Stephen Baldwick.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Baldwin is like all on the ground. He says his
- 37:32Speaker 3: wrist is quivering, which that maybe laugh.
- 37:36Speaker 2: There's moments that are kind of funny and you'll be
- 37:39Speaker 2: still not worth it.
- 37:40Speaker 3: But but the fact that he got knocked out helped
- 37:44Speaker 3: me out.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Yeah, quite a bit. That was pretty funny. It was
- 37:46Speaker 2: pretty boody. Just turn the book around and we want
- 37:48Speaker 2: to have any problem. They'd never know me done. No,
- 37:51Speaker 2: damn damn. I like that. I also like that. That's
- 37:54Speaker 2: about twelve seconds into the movie. So yeah, you had
- 37:58Speaker 2: a long time between that and Tenacious D. It was
- 38:02Speaker 2: It was a lot. It was a lot. That's great.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I would I'm one hundred percent on board with the
- 38:10Speaker 2: Tenacious DA if we also add in the party afterward,
- 38:13Speaker 2: because I actually think that's kind of fun and I always.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Thought that was really neat in the party and they're
- 38:19Speaker 3: very close to each other.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the time scene, right, because that's how
- 38:23Speaker 2: they find out, that's how the girls go there, and
- 38:25Speaker 2: all that kind stuff that's going on. But yeah, I
- 38:29Speaker 2: like that a lot. I also have always really liked
- 38:32Speaker 2: the two other scenes that stick out to me. If
- 38:36Speaker 2: you would have asked before, I think I would have
- 38:37Speaker 2: said them is when they get banished to the desert,
- 38:41Speaker 2: only because of when the ladder's going up and they're like,
- 38:44Speaker 2: I can't see you. That always made me laugh.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I don't know why. Yeah, yeah, that is funny.
- 38:50Speaker 2: It just made me laugh. And then they're like sort
- 38:54Speaker 2: of like forty days in the desert, you know that
- 38:56Speaker 2: is probably like six hours or something. I thought that
- 39:00Speaker 2: was funny. And I always thought it was really funny
- 39:03Speaker 2: when they were trying to convince them to grow weed
- 39:05Speaker 2: in the dome. I just thought that was really fun.
- 39:08Speaker 3: They had that whole power present, I guess with the
- 39:11Speaker 3: power but just on.
- 39:12Speaker 2: The yeah, like they have a board, they've really thought
- 39:15Speaker 2: this through. I also don't think I knew it was
- 39:20Speaker 2: weed the first time I watched What are you trying
- 39:24Speaker 2: to get them to grow? I don't understand, but I
- 39:29Speaker 2: don't know. But yeah, I always thought that seems funny.
- 39:35Speaker 2: But I'm cool with the party.
- 39:37Speaker 4: If you are party mountag And then it makes William
- 39:41Speaker 4: Etherson lose his mind, lose his.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Ever loving mind. Also, someone should get some blame for
- 39:48Speaker 2: leaving a key in there. That's all I'm saying, Like,
- 39:51Speaker 2: what are we doing? Number one? Why is it a
- 39:54Speaker 2: key to begin with? And number two? Why was it
- 39:57Speaker 2: just left there? Right? It's not their fault. They did
- 40:02Speaker 2: nothing wrong. Let's talk about some of these great quotes,
- 40:06Speaker 2: because I actually have quite a few.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Amazing Okay, I got.
- 40:09Speaker 2: A couple, maybe because I liked it more than you did.
- 40:11Speaker 2: But it's time to show me the money, Show me
- 40:14Speaker 2: the money, show me. Why don't you go first, so
- 40:23Speaker 2: as I don't steal all of yours? Cool?
- 40:26Speaker 4: So one, and I'm pretty sure it was probably in
- 40:29Speaker 4: the trailer because when he said it, I really.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Remember, Oh this tracks, Yeah, this was it?
- 40:35Speaker 4: And uh Faukner asks Bud, what do you guys want
- 40:41Speaker 4: out of life? And he's like to die? And come
- 40:43Speaker 4: back as a leotard or whatever.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really good. I liked that, like it.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Do you think that he made up those pickup lines?
- 40:55Speaker 4: Do you think that that originated from this movie?
- 40:58Speaker 2: I just don't see how that's possible. But maybe if it.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Was, I will give the writer a lot more credit
- 41:06Speaker 4: because the girls I say to this day, like, excuse me, miss,
- 41:12Speaker 4: are you tired? What are you tired? Know why?
- 41:15Speaker 2: Because you've been.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Running through my mind all day? Yeah, that's incredible. And
- 41:19Speaker 3: then also, excuse me, miss, did it hurt?
- 41:22Speaker 2: Did what hurt?
- 41:23Speaker 3: When you fell from heaven?
- 41:24Speaker 2: Did it hurt? Hurt? So, like, if that is.
- 41:28Speaker 3: The case, I want to give him a lot more credit.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I love that you are trying to give people flowers.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I just don't think that must have started before.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yes, I mean if it was, then less credit.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, I get that. I get that.
- 41:45Speaker 4: And then Bud, it's Bud Russell and Doyle. So Bud
- 41:49Speaker 4: says Russell, how'd you get a job? And Russell was
- 41:52Speaker 4: watching the news He's like President Clinton. And then Doyle
- 41:56Speaker 4: was like, you had six with President Clinton?
- 41:59Speaker 2: So that was pretty it was pretty funny.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Fine, I'll give him that.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I did like that one.
- 42:05Speaker 4: I did like that, and then I guess, Monique says Russell,
- 42:10Speaker 4: there's beer cans in the trash in the kitchen, there's
- 42:13Speaker 4: beer cans in the trash in the bathroom, there's beer
- 42:15Speaker 4: cans in the trash in the basement.
- 42:17Speaker 2: What does that say, We're out of beer. It's a
- 42:21Speaker 2: good line. It's a good line. Good line. She set
- 42:24Speaker 2: them up, and that is it. Those are all funny.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I like them. Yeah, from that your runner up Dingas scene.
- 42:35Speaker 2: It always cracked me up that he was like, free mahi, mahi,
- 42:38Speaker 2: free mahi.
- 42:40Speaker 3: I've definitely heard you quote that before one because I didn't.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Know it was a random quote that no one ever.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Random, no, no, which is funny.
- 42:50Speaker 2: And then shortly thereafter, when the girls were like you
- 42:52Speaker 2: hit him with the book, He's like, you understand the
- 42:54Speaker 2: book fell on him. Well, he fell in the book.
- 42:57Speaker 2: They collided, which I thought was pretty fun. Me and
- 43:00Speaker 2: I didn't remember that line. That's a pretty fun line.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Wrap we can all agree.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you know me so well.
- 43:11Speaker 2: You knew that was the precursor to we're having an
- 43:14Speaker 2: we're having a good time. Yeah, oh, which is fun. Whoa, whoa, whoa, Wait,
- 43:19Speaker 2: a minute. You guys aren't one of those freaky clans.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Are you dancing naked? You want us to take up
- 43:24Speaker 2: all our clothes? You're gonna feed us some kind of punch. No,
- 43:28Speaker 2: dang it so close. That was pretty fun. I liked that.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I liked it. I thought this I never I did
- 43:39Speaker 2: not remember this line, but it did kind of make
- 43:41Speaker 2: me giggle. I remember this part. So they're going on
- 43:46Speaker 2: the rice and then it's when the lady is explaining
- 43:48Speaker 2: the fish and the beneficial relationships and all that. It's
- 43:53Speaker 2: like and he's like, they're crapping on the rice and
- 43:57Speaker 2: she's like, yeah, in crude, in crude, Layman's turn yes,
- 44:00Speaker 2: and he's like, huh does Uncle Ben know about this?
- 44:04Speaker 2: Which that was pretty funny. Yeah, that was good.
- 44:07Speaker 3: I remember that, like yeah.
- 44:10Speaker 2: And I didn't remember that, or maybe he didn't even
- 44:12Speaker 2: catch it. I thought, no, that is funny. What else
- 44:19Speaker 2: do we got that's not for soaking? It's the artificial
- 44:23Speaker 2: grain generator? And then he like passes gas and he's like, oh,
- 44:26Speaker 2: it just got a little hotter, a little bit of
- 44:29Speaker 2: acid rain, And that I think epitomizes what you're saying
- 44:33Speaker 2: of trying to make him sound like poly Shore and
- 44:36Speaker 2: it doesn't work. Yeah, but it was pretty funny, I thought,
- 44:39Speaker 2: only because it didn't work, you know. Uh A lineup
- 44:43Speaker 2: said not a lot, But I said it way back
- 44:46Speaker 2: in the day, a lot more before when people actually
- 44:50Speaker 2: had a shot of knowing this movie. But when they
- 44:52Speaker 2: do that, we have chippies, We have chippies, We got
- 44:54Speaker 2: lots of stuff to eat. I've said that a couple
- 44:57Speaker 2: of times in my life, which is fun. It's fun. Oh,
- 45:02Speaker 2: let's get a lot of these That scene where they're
- 45:11Speaker 2: in the desert and they're admitting things and he's like,
- 45:14Speaker 2: I killed your pet turtle and then they put down
- 45:16Speaker 2: your cat, and it's all pretty funny. And then when
- 45:19Speaker 2: he's like and then you're divorced him, it just gets
- 45:26Speaker 2: really well, I won't read the whole thing to you. Ah,
- 45:29Speaker 2: now we're all thinking glowly. I thought that was fun
- 45:35Speaker 2: like that. Oh, and then the last one that I
- 45:42Speaker 2: really liked was when the parent after the he's loses
- 45:49Speaker 2: his mind in a really methodical and well thought out pace.
- 45:55Speaker 2: The parent that he's hanging out with it is like
- 45:57Speaker 2: I'm a god and he's like, no, I a god.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Oh, I'm a god.
- 46:01Speaker 2: And then he keeps saying it, and then later they
- 46:03Speaker 2: cut to him wearing the plumage on his head and
- 46:07Speaker 2: then eating a piece of foul and he's like, no,
- 46:12Speaker 2: I am God. And I thought that was pretty funny,
- 46:15Speaker 2: even though it doesn't make a lot of sense.
- 46:18Speaker 3: No, his hair in that movie was crazy. He had
- 46:22Speaker 3: that big old mullet going on.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not a great look. I don't think a
- 46:26Speaker 2: scientist would do that. It was weird.
- 46:29Speaker 3: It was an interesting choice interesting indeed.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I really liked what he's like. Okay, I
- 46:39Speaker 2: gotta read this last one. It's the last one, Rob,
- 46:40Speaker 2: I promise you're almost done with this movie. I've never
- 46:42Speaker 2: quit anything in my whole life except Chinese calligraphy, my thesis,
- 46:47Speaker 2: no thesis, Tuna and you the earli Ears, Kagaroo, anatomy, turtle, photography, booker, sculpture,
- 46:56Speaker 2: and masturbation. Well maybe not master, but give me a break.
- 47:00Speaker 2: It's the only thing I'm good at. And the part
- 47:02Speaker 2: that cracks me up is his friend being like.
- 47:05Speaker 3: And you're very good at it stuff, very good for
- 47:09Speaker 3: no reason, no reason. That is where we should end.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty pret JM.
- 47:17Speaker 3: But we got to go to the bugs Booho moments.
- 47:19Speaker 3: What do you think about the crying game? This might
- 47:23Speaker 3: be quick?
- 47:24Speaker 2: Uh yeah, zero, there's just no Maybe I cried thinking
- 47:29Speaker 2: about that I liked this and what it meant about
- 47:32Speaker 2: me as a person.
- 47:33Speaker 1: What is wrong with.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Me? Why are you doing this to yourself? And now
- 47:41Speaker 2: you probably I did not cry to this? How darey
- 47:50Speaker 2: any of you? I think I did? I have trivia
- 47:55Speaker 2: lucky for you, four pieces of trivia because there's not
- 47:57Speaker 2: a lot out there. I only wrote that three, so
- 48:00Speaker 2: you got one more than me. Alec Baldwin told his
- 48:02Speaker 2: brother Stephen Baldman that doing this movie could end his
- 48:06Speaker 2: acting career. Yeah he did it. It seems like it
- 48:09Speaker 2: might have. I don't actually know has he been in
- 48:12Speaker 2: stuf since?
- 48:14Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like I haven't seen him in
- 48:15Speaker 4: a ton but the usual he did have the usual
- 48:18Speaker 4: suspects going for him, so that's true.
- 48:20Speaker 2: And The Flintstones, which was also not great, but I
- 48:23Speaker 2: did like it.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Who is he in the Flintstone's barney? In one of them?
- 48:31Speaker 3: The one that went to Ron?
- 48:34Speaker 2: What?
- 48:34Speaker 3: Everyone?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Oh?
- 48:36Speaker 2: Because I'm thinking John Ga No, not that one. Yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 2: that was obviously the supreme one.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Got you got you pretty sure?
- 48:43Speaker 2: He was Barney in that one.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Oh, I believe you. I don't think I've ever seen
- 48:46Speaker 3: what you're talking about.
- 48:47Speaker 2: It's got that weird guy in it. That it doesn't matter.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Don't watch it. It's not great. Don't watch it. Don't
- 48:53Speaker 2: watch it, don't watch you guess I'm not gonna be bio.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I'm not going to do it again to you. Kylie
- 48:57Speaker 2: Minogue has called this film her worst a rear move.
- 49:01Speaker 2: She said it's the only thing she's done in her
- 49:04Speaker 2: professional life that her father ridicules her for. That's amazing.
- 49:09Speaker 2: So rude, dude.
- 49:10Speaker 3: We didn't even talk about the moment where she is
- 49:13Speaker 3: like looking the other way and poly Shore comes in
- 49:15Speaker 3: and he just touches He touches her butt.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Yeah, touches her but yeah, not great. And then also
- 49:23Speaker 2: for some reason that kind of stuff, this carrot is
- 49:26Speaker 2: a miracle, Like why did she say that? That doesn't
- 49:29Speaker 2: mention anything about her? No? Great, No. The biodome compound
- 49:36Speaker 2: is the Donald C. Tillman water Reclamation plant in Van Nuys, California,
- 49:41Speaker 2: which has apparently been used in dozens of other films
- 49:44Speaker 2: and television shows. It's kind of funny. And then the
- 49:51Speaker 2: motto of the college Jen and Monique are attending is
- 49:55Speaker 2: nothing to be ashamed of, which I thought was actually
- 49:58Speaker 2: one of the better jokes in the movie. Yeap, that is,
- 50:01Speaker 2: I didn't pick up on it. I don't know if
- 50:03Speaker 2: it said that somewhere what happened, but that was all
- 50:07Speaker 2: the trivia I had.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's well.
- 50:11Speaker 2: I did.
- 50:12Speaker 4: I did actually see that. It looks like originally Dana
- 50:17Speaker 4: Gould and Harlan Williams were supposed to be the two
- 50:22Speaker 4: stars of this film, and I could definitely see Harland
- 50:25Speaker 4: Williams for sure being more the the poly Shore character.
- 50:32Speaker 4: But I don't know that I've ever seen Dana Gould
- 50:34Speaker 4: do any thing. You know, he's a stand up comic,
- 50:37Speaker 4: but it.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Would have been way different probably. Huh. Yeah, well, thank
- 50:42Speaker 2: god that didn't happen for sure.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Judgment Day. Will there be a sequel? We can
- 50:48Speaker 3: only hope.
- 50:49Speaker 1: So.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Biodome three, they're skipping two because this one was
- 50:55Speaker 2: so bad.
- 50:57Speaker 3: It's like, was there a tune I didn't know there
- 50:59Speaker 3: was that.
- 51:02Speaker 2: There probably won't be a sequel maybe, who knows.
- 51:06Speaker 4: I mean there's still around. I think there was some
- 51:08Speaker 4: sort of Polyshore doc recently.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, was that must die or something.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that must be what I'm thinking.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Was that a different thing?
- 51:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that sounds right.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well like his mom owns the comedy store in
- 51:23Speaker 2: LA and stuff, right, like that's Mitzi. I think she
- 51:27Speaker 2: has passed now. I think that happened in the last
- 51:30Speaker 2: few years if I remember it. Yeah, that's crazy crue.
- 51:35Speaker 2: He knows what he's doing out here. I don't who knows?
- 51:39Speaker 2: I know. I don't mean, uh, well, do you want
- 51:44Speaker 2: to play a game or you want to get out
- 51:45Speaker 2: of here?
- 51:46Speaker 3: Or no, I want to play a game?
- 51:48Speaker 2: You want to stop the podcast forever?
- 51:51Speaker 3: No? Stop?
- 51:55Speaker 4: I do want to play a game. I did. I
- 51:57Speaker 4: was looking up. I sent out a post to our folks.
- 52:02Speaker 4: I tried it on I tried it on Facebook and
- 52:04Speaker 4: got some more suggestions.
- 52:07Speaker 2: I like it.
- 52:10Speaker 3: And so we've been given Meryl Streep, who.
- 52:15Speaker 4: We we have never done Meryl Streep really, so that's crazy.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Wow.
- 52:23Speaker 3: We got Jimmy Stewart, who we haven't done. And I
- 52:26Speaker 3: don't know, guys, we're never going to do Jimmy Stewart.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not you. It's a good suggestion, but I
- 52:33Speaker 2: don't know enough. I'm sorry.
- 52:36Speaker 4: We got Kevin Bacon we also haven't done. Tom Hanks,
- 52:41Speaker 4: who we've done several times, probably a couple. Sandra Bullock,
- 52:45Speaker 4: who we've done, Eddie Murphy we have done.
- 52:50Speaker 2: I was gonna say, we had to have right, Will.
- 52:53Speaker 3: Ferrell we've done, Susan Sarandon we have not though.
- 52:59Speaker 2: We got and.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Wilson, who we haven't done. Steve Buscemi, who we haven't done.
- 53:08Speaker 3: John Goodman, who we have done.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Oh, I was gonna say, have we not?
- 53:12Speaker 3: That's wild Max Foncito, who I don't think we can do,
- 53:15Speaker 3: Kirk Douglas, who I don't think we can do. Donald Sutherlands, oh,
- 53:22Speaker 3: which we have not done hard though. And then I'm
- 53:26Speaker 3: gonna look at X just because I did put it
- 53:29Speaker 3: on there, James Marsden interesting, Jake Gillin Hall and we
- 53:42Speaker 3: haven't done those. So some good we had some good
- 53:47Speaker 3: suggestions today.
- 53:48Speaker 2: We did, so I'm kind of.
- 53:51Speaker 3: What are you thinking? Which ones have we not done
- 53:54Speaker 3: that you would be interested in?
- 53:55Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I think we should pick between
- 53:59Speaker 2: Merril's drap, Kevin Bacon and yike Ian and nice, And
- 54:05Speaker 2: I think you should get to decide because you had
- 54:07Speaker 2: to sit through all this nastiness.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Well, I think it's a travesty that we've never done.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Maryl As you were saying so many, I was like, oh,
- 54:16Speaker 2: I should have stopped him at Merrill because that feels
- 54:18Speaker 2: like we should do that.
- 54:20Speaker 4: We absolutely should. That's crazy that we have none, so
- 54:25Speaker 4: Meryl Street, although I don't, let's do it.
- 54:28Speaker 2: I'm going to do great.
- 54:32Speaker 3: I am gonna do so good.
- 54:35Speaker 2: I believe that. Actually you usually do for what I
- 54:38Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know forgetting the one I want
- 54:48Speaker 2: to say right off the bat, which I don't know why,
- 54:50Speaker 2: it's amazing, that's not great. What is the title of
- 54:54Speaker 2: the movie. It doesn't matter. I'm going to show up
- 54:59Speaker 2: the post the post good one.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a great one. I'm going to
- 55:07Speaker 4: do the Devil Wears Pradact.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair. I should have just taken it, of course,
- 55:15Speaker 2: of course.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Julie and Julia, Oh yeah, uh, the Iron Lady.
- 55:24Speaker 3: I think that was one of her few Oscar wins,
- 55:29Speaker 3: which she should have so many.
- 55:30Speaker 2: But she should have so many. It's maybe too deep
- 55:37Speaker 2: of a poll, but you're gonna win anyway, August County.
- 55:42Speaker 3: That is a good poll.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Does It's not fun to watch.
- 55:46Speaker 3: I'll tell you that No, I didn't actually end up
- 55:49Speaker 3: watching it. One that I found out that you had watched.
- 55:54Speaker 3: I thought you had not Defending your Life. Yeah, yeah, Brook.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Good call nice.
- 56:02Speaker 3: I liked that one.
- 56:05Speaker 2: An old one that I haven't seen, but I believe
- 56:08Speaker 2: she was in it. Out of Africa is one.
- 56:10Speaker 4: Of hers, right, Yeah, her in Redford, I think, which
- 56:14Speaker 4: I also haven't seen. Another one I haven't seen in
- 56:17Speaker 4: that same vein. Is Sophie's choice?
- 56:20Speaker 2: Ah, same ease, dude, No, I don't want to see
- 56:23Speaker 2: it either. Yeah, Biodome again. Uh, that would be a
- 56:30Speaker 2: Sophie's choice. Biodome or Sophie's choice. What would you she
- 56:38Speaker 2: was in? I think you've recommended this one. But that
- 56:41Speaker 2: Florence Foster Jenkins movie was that her? Yes?
- 56:44Speaker 1: Her?
- 56:44Speaker 3: Right?
- 56:45Speaker 2: Yes? Yes, I loved her.
- 56:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so fun in that movie. Yeah, one that people
- 56:52Speaker 4: don't really ever talk about, but.
- 56:54Speaker 2: It's it's pretty great. Yeah, nice.
- 56:58Speaker 3: Let's do a goofy one. Well, Death Becomes Her?
- 57:02Speaker 2: Oh that is Good's a good one. It's a weird movie. Yeah.
- 57:09Speaker 2: Bridges of Madison County good one. Have you never seen that?
- 57:13Speaker 2: Have you never seen that?
- 57:15Speaker 3: I haven't seen it, and I know a lot of patrons.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Really like that one. We should watch that sometime. I
- 57:22Speaker 2: never saw that one.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Let's do A big one for her was one called
- 57:29Speaker 3: Kramer Versus Kramer.
- 57:30Speaker 2: That was the one. I was like, it's the divorce movie.
- 57:33Speaker 2: I know, I couldn't think of it. Yeah, have you
- 57:38Speaker 2: ever seen that? I never saw that one either, I did.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I did see that one. Good.
- 57:43Speaker 3: It's very good, but.
- 57:45Speaker 2: It's not a barrel of line.
- 57:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that's for sure.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Well I feel like I should have more
- 57:55Speaker 2: than this, and I just don't know what I do.
- 57:57Speaker 2: How many more are you sitting on? Ten?
- 58:00Speaker 3: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight nine.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Uh god, I'm so bad. At the Scared Mayls. MARYL.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Streado was probably a lot.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Yeah, she'd get to say that, Well, you know, there's
- 58:25Speaker 3: gonna be one coming up.
- 58:26Speaker 2: I guess it's not out yet. Yeah. I don't think
- 58:29Speaker 2: I can say that kind of I will, but I.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Say it just Stable Wars pro too.
- 58:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Excited to see the Electric Bugoloo. It would be great. Yeah,
- 58:38Speaker 2: that'll be fun.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Another Oscar winning movie was The Deer Hunter.
- 58:42Speaker 2: She's in that. Oh yeah, I never saw that either.
- 58:45Speaker 3: That one real sense, Yeah, real, isn't it?
- 58:51Speaker 2: Yeah? I just don't think I have anymore, which is insane. Hey,
- 59:00Speaker 2: that's okay. She's in so many dramas, She's in a lot. Yeah,
- 59:05Speaker 2: and like from the time when I just didn't watch
- 59:07Speaker 2: a lot of those, I guess. Yeah, I feel like.
- 59:11Speaker 3: I have a lot of deep cut ones that a
- 59:13Speaker 3: lot of people haven't seen.
- 59:14Speaker 4: Yeah, where I feel like there are so many more big.
- 59:20Speaker 3: Name movies that we are that I'm missing, well, that
- 59:23Speaker 3: we're both missed.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Yeah, because I have weird ones.
- 59:28Speaker 3: I tried doing the biggest ones I could think of.
- 59:31Speaker 2: But I'm just gonna call it because I don't. I
- 59:34Speaker 2: can't think at all, and this is not compelling.
- 59:36Speaker 3: Sorry, I got you.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Uh.
- 59:38Speaker 4: The one that I always loved that a lot of
- 59:40Speaker 4: people didn't see. It had Kevin Bacon in it as well,
- 59:44Speaker 4: was called The River Wild.
- 59:45Speaker 2: I really liked that movie. Oh, I just thought of one,
- 59:49Speaker 2: so we can keep playing it. I mean, you're gonna
- 59:51Speaker 2: win it. I will say, Mama.
- 59:53Speaker 3: Mia, oh, and Mama Mia, here we go again.
- 59:58Speaker 2: I think that's right now. I'm out tell me about
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: The River Wild. The River Wild.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: She plays like she used to be, like a whitewater
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: rafting guide. And then there's some guys that are like
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: on the run fugitives played by Kevin Bacon and John
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: c Riley, and they like make her go down the river.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: And her husband is David Strathorn. And I think it
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: might be the kid from Jurassic Park that Joseph Mazzella
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: kidding that sounds like.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: It's a pretty compelling, like intense movie. I liked it
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: a lot.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: Was it Benjamin Bratt, Yeah, Joseph the Kid. She was
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: also in a few musicals. She was in Into the Woods, Woods,
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: and then she was in one called The Prom which
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: wasn't great.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: I never saw that. Yeah, you're not missing anything. She
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: also is at the end of a movie called Stuck
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: with You and they are putting on a musical version
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: of Bonnie and Clyde and she's just at the end.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: But that's a really good one for.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Like the movie. Guy, that's not the Damon, No, that's
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: stuck on You? Is that? Is that that movie?
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: It's that movie. We're Stuck on You.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Yes, you can join twins.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: You can join twins.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: She's in the end of that. She's in the end.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Of that movie. Another amazing movie that she was nominated for.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: It was Doubt She.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Was incredible that I never saw doubt.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: You should know is that it's so good. That was
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: the first time that I remember seeing Viola days and
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: she blew my mind. Philip Seymour Hoffman is incredible, Amy
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: Adams is it's nuts fine. The Hours with the Nicole Kidman.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: There was one with her and Liam Neeson back in
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: the day and Eddie Furlong is their kid.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: It's called Before and After, which was.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Kind of intense. And then I think she was in
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: a movie called Ricky in the Flash that I never saw,
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: but oh.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Yeah, where she's like a rocker or something rock. Yeah. No, God,
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: She's been in so many that I should have known,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: so don't look up. Pretty recent she was in that,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Oh she's a president, but I totally forgot. I forgot.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I'm pulling it up now. That's the reas. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: but yeah's not crazy. She was also Marching Little Women,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: which we should have totally got, which is about a
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: new one. Mary Poppin's Returns she's in I don't really
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: remember that. What else, Suffragette, watching The Giver?
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: I watched Oh yeah, Big Kiffer, mm hmm, watch that
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Two Springs.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's complicated.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: It's complicated. We should have gotten that one, yeah, for sure,
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: but you got Julian and Julia.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: I didn't think about that. I love the Lions for Lambs.
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: I used that one for the movie game quite a bit,
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: evening the Ample Prairie Home Companion.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Probably unfortune that. Yeah, he stuck on you adaptation we
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: should have had.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: I always forget about that movie Marvin's Room. There's before
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: and after the Bridges of Madison County, the River Wild
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: that becomes her defending your Light.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I mean, we did pretty good. Okay, you did really good.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: But then, yeah, we don't know her. Like late seventies,
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: early eighties, she was.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Making a movie like every year.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, and I think she was.
