- 0:33Speaker 1: What's up, Megan, Hi.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I'm so happy to be back. Hi everyone.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Wow. Our recap last week was a smashing hit. I
- 0:42Speaker 1: mean people, I was getting messages, I was getting posts,
- 0:46Speaker 1: you know, you name it, people, and they're so excited
- 0:48Speaker 1: that we're recapping this.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So yes, yes, I think this is what everyone's been
- 0:52Speaker 2: waiting for, this show and this recap.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I agree. Oh boy, Megan, we just were just full
- 0:58Speaker 1: of life and talent and and so we get we
- 1:01Speaker 1: have a lot to discuss on episode two of This
- 1:04Speaker 1: Girl's BILLYK Gardens Society.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, indeed this episode was like.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Crazy, wasn't it. It was so good?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yes, so good. The the drama was really building, I
- 1:19Speaker 2: mean it was really building.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And as Luandela SEPs would say, Drama Darling my podcast.
- 1:27Speaker 1: What a unbelievable coincidence. I made her say that when
- 1:30Speaker 1: I was interviewing her last time. She was on like
- 1:33Speaker 1: can you just say, drama Darling. She's like, yes, Sterling, Okay,
- 1:36Speaker 1: are you ready for me? Do you want me to
- 1:38Speaker 1: sing it? Or do you want me to dance it?
- 1:39Speaker 1: What do you want me to do? I hope you
- 1:42Speaker 1: did all of those please, of course. Let's I'm gonna
- 1:47Speaker 1: give a little welcome in first. I just want to
- 1:51Speaker 1: fact check myself. Something that I said last week was
- 1:54Speaker 1: not in a fact I need to correct it. Well,
- 1:58Speaker 1: course correction here, So I misspoke. I was not in
- 2:02Speaker 1: the junior League, Megan. I was in something called taw Beta.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Oh I might have been in that too.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So we it was. It kind of is the same thing.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I mean, it's kind of similar.
- 2:14Speaker 2: How did you find that out? You're right, You're totally right.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Well, I have a gross point girls chat thread. I
- 2:21Speaker 1: got all the gals on it, you know what I mean.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So shout out Carrie Carrie Tigs otherwise known as carry Osgood,
- 2:29Speaker 1: who was like, excuse me, were you in ta Were
- 2:33Speaker 1: you in junior league? Are you sure that wasn't Tall Beta?
- 2:37Speaker 1: And I was like, ooh, slam dunk, Carrie.
- 2:41Speaker 2: So thank you, Carrie, carry carry Tigs as Good, thank you.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I have my own gross point thread
- 2:48Speaker 2: of course with the girls, and I hate to say it,
- 2:51Speaker 2: nobody caught that, and I think, like we did.
- 2:54Speaker 1: They lost.
- 2:56Speaker 2: The recap megand they're too scared to correct me. That's
- 3:00Speaker 2: why they know all just bite their heads up.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Oh they're like, Meghan can never be wrong, don't you dare?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Don't you dare? So I do have to give speaking
- 3:12Speaker 1: of a major shout out to all the gals on
- 3:15Speaker 1: the gross point thread, Amy Cowan and Dinghaman. As we
- 3:18Speaker 1: mentioned earlier, Carrie Osgood Tigs, Hillary Crane, Lisa Huger husband,
- 3:23Speaker 1: Paige Dieger, and Shelley Smith love it so an eight
- 3:28Speaker 1: makes me. So that's like, yeah, that's a that's a
- 3:31Speaker 1: hefty thread. I asked them all. Actually they said, we
- 3:35Speaker 1: want to do the flower quiz because last week we
- 3:37Speaker 1: did the flower quiz, you know, and Megan, what were you?
- 3:41Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, sunflower?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yes, okay.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I was like, wait, I forgot oh I should be
- 3:47Speaker 2: the forgetful flower.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And guess what everyone on this thread, excluding Paige Page
- 3:56Speaker 1: is she doesn't really chime into the thread much. She's like,
- 3:59Speaker 1: you know, she's she's doing other thing. She didn't do
- 4:02Speaker 1: the quiz, but everyone else got sunflower except for me.
- 4:07Speaker 1: What everyone got sunflower?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Oh my god?
- 4:11Speaker 1: And I'm a tulip.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm I think there's something sus about
- 4:18Speaker 2: the quiz. Now that's where that.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Okay, I understand. I knew your head would go there.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I knew your head would go, did you knew? And
- 4:25Speaker 1: so I had my neighbor take it over the weekend,
- 4:30Speaker 1: her husband as well. No, they did not get sunflowers.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And I haven't had Brett take it yet. I forgot,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but my parents are taking it currently as we speak. Okay,
- 4:43Speaker 1: and I don't I already know what my mom got.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It is not a sunflower.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Okay, totally stand down. So crazy that
- 4:52Speaker 2: you are friends with all these sunflowers.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I know, says something about I don't know what.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Me the cute need to plant a garden of like
- 5:03Speaker 2: tulips and sunflowers.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I know, I do, I really really do.
- 5:07Speaker 2: They probably go together because tulips are so spring and
- 5:10Speaker 2: then sunflowers are summer. And I don't know what we're
- 5:13Speaker 2: going to get you for the fall, but I.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Know I just will go inside and lock the doors.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That's fine. But I'm just I'm thrilled about it. And
- 5:24Speaker 1: that being said, one of the other factoids that I
- 5:27Speaker 1: learned about the show is that they are still filming
- 5:30Speaker 1: right now, because there are that thirteen episodes and I
- 5:34Speaker 1: think they're filming the last two right now as we
- 5:37Speaker 1: speak in Atlanta, because I saw the gal who plays
- 5:42Speaker 1: Alice was doing an interview and I saw that, and
- 5:46Speaker 1: then the other they've been doing a press tour. Two
- 5:48Speaker 1: of the characters, the woman who plays Catherine and the
- 5:52Speaker 1: woman who plays Birdie. We're both on the Today Show
- 5:55Speaker 1: this morning.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And the reason why I know that is my mom
- 5:59Speaker 1: love Jenna and Savannah. I mean, she's She's all over
- 6:02Speaker 1: the Today So she's like, Amy, you're not gonna believe
- 6:05Speaker 1: this gross point. Guarden Society's gonna be talked about on
- 6:08Speaker 1: the Today Show. Do you want to watch it? I
- 6:10Speaker 1: was like, I'll be right in. She's like four minutes.
- 6:13Speaker 1: So I went and watched that. So they must be
- 6:17Speaker 1: doing a little press then going back to Atlanta. I
- 6:19Speaker 1: don't know.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Interesting, Okay, Well, that's really helpful to know because I
- 6:26Speaker 2: missed the Today Show. I am a huge fan of Savannah.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Savannah got three. I just love a girl like that.
- 6:32Speaker 2: She's everything she's beautiful, smart, funny, and Jenna I like,
- 6:36Speaker 2: she's awesome too, and I don't know her as well,
- 6:39Speaker 2: but they're great.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And I miss Hoda. You know, I'm not gonna lie. Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. Okay, why don't we get into
- 6:45Speaker 1: this episode because we of course start back. You know
- 6:49Speaker 1: what I want to do. I want to do six
- 6:52Speaker 1: months later those scenes, and then I want to do
- 6:56Speaker 1: present day because that's how I have it categorized. Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 1: bounce around as we see fit.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, because I have so much I want to say.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I just don't even know. It's so good. I'm give
- 7:07Speaker 2: us directions.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Direction, all right, We're gonna do six months later. Then
- 7:11Speaker 1: we're gonna do present day. And we start off at
- 7:13Speaker 1: Coney Coney Island and I'm really thrilled about that. And
- 7:17Speaker 1: they're there, this is six months later. They're looking for Bertie.
- 7:20Speaker 1: She's got the phone. They are starting to question whether
- 7:24Speaker 1: or not she is going to just save herself and
- 7:26Speaker 1: turn them in. And then of course, the next scene
- 7:29Speaker 1: we see is Bertie at the police station and we
- 7:32Speaker 1: see the gentleman who is the father of her birth son, who,
- 7:38Speaker 1: by the way, is the guy from Okay, yes, this.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Is in my notes because I went crazy watching him
- 7:45Speaker 2: and I'm like, why do I know him? Why do
- 7:48Speaker 2: I know him? He is from Legally Blunt? Yeah, Matt Davis.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I was like, what what is his name?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Matt Davis?
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think he looks like a Matt Davis. You know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: he could even look like a Davis. Matt like that,
- 8:04Speaker 1: that's what he looks like. I mean, name works both ways.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And I have to tell you I was sleeping on
- 8:09Speaker 1: it because my mom was like legally Blonde. I was like,
- 8:11Speaker 1: what she said, that's the guy from Legally Blonde, And
- 8:15Speaker 1: she gets really mad when people talk during shows, so
- 8:17Speaker 1: she was trying to, you know, slip it in real quick,
- 8:20Speaker 1: but God forbid. Two seconds later, my dad tried to
- 8:22Speaker 1: say something Nope, it's hilarious. So shout out to my
- 8:28Speaker 1: mom for recognizing that immediately.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I'm so impressed. I had to go look it up
- 8:33Speaker 2: because it was driving me crazy. I'm like, how, where
- 8:36Speaker 2: what do I know this guy from? And then when
- 8:38Speaker 2: I saw the picture, I was just double taking, like
- 8:40Speaker 2: this is him. He looks good.
- 8:41Speaker 1: He's so good is looking smoking? Yes, smoking? And especially
- 8:48Speaker 1: because now Megan, as we see in the scene, he
- 8:54Speaker 1: brings him up, She brings him up to speed about
- 8:57Speaker 1: what's happened at the garden club and they were, you know,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they had a murder.
- 9:02Speaker 2: So just out and out says it, which is Amazingah yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 2: And he's like, let's.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Go to the scene. So then uh, She's like, don't
- 9:11Speaker 1: touch anything. This is a crime scene. And we get
- 9:13Speaker 1: a real sneak peg into that they really used all
- 9:16Speaker 1: those tools, which is I mean, it's personal. This, this
- 9:19Speaker 1: crime is personal. You're using tools like that over and
- 9:22Speaker 1: over again.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I want to say, I want to say that it
- 9:26Speaker 2: was over kill, but I feel like that's like right
- 9:29Speaker 2: on the nose.
- 9:31Speaker 1: You said it, you want to you did, you said it?
- 9:35Speaker 1: I got, I got you gotta you got a DJ
- 9:38Speaker 1: air horn, honey.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 1: But I mean we've all seen the law and order,
- 9:43Speaker 1: so you know, when you start getting wounds that are
- 9:46Speaker 1: over the twos, threes, tens, it's personal.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Oh hell yeah, yes, in this I mean that's that's
- 9:57Speaker 2: the thing they're building. I thought this episode, I'm like,
- 10:00Speaker 2: my goodness, are they building it up so that we
- 10:02Speaker 2: hate and feel so much tension with so many characters.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I found that's how I felt watching this.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, they're all so terrible,
- 10:11Speaker 2: some of these the relationships, like people manipulating each other.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And yeah, well, I really I really love the scene
- 10:20Speaker 1: and when the cop is like, don't touch anything, it's
- 10:23Speaker 1: a crime scene. And then the next thing you know,
- 10:26Speaker 1: of course, later on in the episode, as it gets revealed,
- 10:31Speaker 1: she's talking to him and he's like, she says, what
- 10:35Speaker 1: happens to me and my friends? And he says, well,
- 10:38Speaker 1: because if they ever find the body, the murder weapon
- 10:41Speaker 1: is inside the station, so he's covering up for her,
- 10:45Speaker 1: which is what Megan, what I said last week.
- 10:48Speaker 2: You literally called it when I can't believe it. Oh
- 10:52Speaker 2: my goodness.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna I'm just gonna just deal myself out
- 10:58Speaker 1: of a DJ horn there, becau guys, I mean I
- 11:01Speaker 1: earned that. I earned it from the ground. Now listen,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I'll take a.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Little to the rest of the episode could just be.
- 11:08Speaker 1: That, yeah, just me just let's go back to how
- 11:12Speaker 1: I called that in the first app Okay, okay, but
- 11:16Speaker 1: then she was like do you hate me now? And
- 11:19Speaker 1: wahhaba day do they make out? And it's like he's like,
- 11:24Speaker 1: you're all kinds of troubled bird brain, and she's like,
- 11:27Speaker 1: you know, I.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Hate that name.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, can you say high school sweethearts?
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yes?
- 11:34Speaker 1: I can that they were, and so that is their child, correct,
- 11:43Speaker 1: that's what I took their child. Okay, good, that's what
- 11:45Speaker 1: I'm getting. That's what I'm picking up. Okay great.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I'm waiting to find out, like, lay down those tracks
- 11:51Speaker 2: for me, how he ended up adopting his own child,
- 11:54Speaker 2: how he got that to work out, because I don't
- 11:57Speaker 2: think the kid knows that's his real dad, right, So
- 12:01Speaker 2: anxious to anxious to see how this unfold.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Right. And then also we can skip to the present
- 12:07Speaker 1: day and mentioned that she ran into her birth son,
- 12:12Speaker 1: you know, probably in the village, Yeah, in a coffee
- 12:16Speaker 1: and he wants to talk to her, and she says,
- 12:20Speaker 1: flat out, you know, this is your problem, whatever it is,
- 12:22Speaker 1: because he says it's really important, and she was like,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I'm not your mother, chilling, Yeah, and looks like he
- 12:29Speaker 1: needs help by way of the fact that his girlfriend
- 12:31Speaker 1: is pregnant. Is we gonna put together? And so she's
- 12:36Speaker 1: gonna help him with that?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Thinking is history repeats itself? Gosh, both of you.
- 12:43Speaker 1: It sure does you know? No, guys, there's no there's
- 12:48Speaker 1: no reason to change or to grow. It's all gonna
- 12:52Speaker 1: end up the way it's meant to be. We're never
- 12:54Speaker 1: gonna change. We are we are.
- 12:57Speaker 2: We're just gonna do it.
- 12:58Speaker 1: We're gonna repeat the same things that our parents did.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And there it's generational.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Give it up.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Don't fight it, you know. Stop your therapy, yes, stop
- 13:10Speaker 1: your med stop you No, don't listen to this. This
- 13:12Speaker 1: is bad advice. I'm kidding. I believe in growth, evolution, change, manifest.
- 13:17Speaker 2: The growth mindset growth.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Download anything you'd like on Doctor
- 13:23Speaker 1: Joe Despenza, follow Jesus's footsteps, do what you want. I
- 13:28Speaker 1: have no skin in the game. I'm just a gal
- 13:31Speaker 1: from gross Point. So but yeah, now when he goes
- 13:36Speaker 1: to her, how when when the cop which what.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Is his name? I just keep CALLINGLP Okay, yeah I
- 13:42Speaker 2: did too. It's like Officer Joel. I had to look
- 13:45Speaker 2: it up because I yeah, I couldn't. I don't think
- 13:48Speaker 2: they ever told us.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Honestly, honestly, I don't think they did.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I don't think they did. But once I got down
- 13:53Speaker 2: that rabbit hole of being like, oh my gosh, it's
- 13:55Speaker 2: the legally blonde, I was like.
- 13:59Speaker 1: All right, what else if you've been doing we don't
- 14:02Speaker 1: need to know his actual character name. We just will
- 14:05Speaker 1: call him legally blonde guy. Yes, yes, we're going to
- 14:08Speaker 1: take a quick break, Megan. The seasons are changing, and
- 14:11Speaker 1: that does not mean that your skin needs to change
- 14:14Speaker 1: if it is in peak condition. Because if you've been
- 14:17Speaker 1: listening to my show and you have gotten into One's skin,
- 14:21Speaker 1: you are having exceptional skin right now. So it's going
- 14:25Speaker 1: to stay that way because as the weather shifts, it
- 14:28Speaker 1: can leave your skin feeling irritated and tight and dry,
- 14:32Speaker 1: especially if you have sensitive skin or conditions like eczema.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But here's the thing. If your skin routine can help
- 14:40Speaker 1: calm your skin and reverse the signs of cellular aging
- 14:44Speaker 1: at the same time, why wouldn't you just use One's
- 14:47Speaker 1: skin and my code drama. It's the beginning of March.
- 14:51Speaker 1: This past week, it was eighty degrees here in California.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Today it was forty five and raining. When I tell
- 14:59Speaker 1: you that my skin has been in the best shape
- 15:03Speaker 1: it's ever been in, I owe it to one Skin.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I use the os one face topical supplement every single day.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Sometimes I do it twice a day because I'm feeling
- 15:12Speaker 1: kind of sassy and I'm so obsessed with it. And
- 15:15Speaker 1: because of the peptides, these peptides, they are the real deal.
- 15:19Speaker 1: One Skin is founded by four PhD level researchers. Shout
- 15:24Speaker 1: out ladies, because it's all females. One Skin is the
- 15:27Speaker 1: only company with the os one peptide. This is the
- 15:30Speaker 1: first ingredient scientifically proven to reduce the dysfunctional senescent cells,
- 15:36Speaker 1: otherwise known as they call them zombie cells, which is hilarious.
- 15:41Speaker 1: The zombie cells are those that build up as you
- 15:44Speaker 1: age and make you more sensitive to those seasonal symptoms
- 15:47Speaker 1: like tight dry skin. And their products are free from
- 15:50Speaker 1: more than fifteen hundred common irritants and backed by countless
- 15:55Speaker 1: lab and clinical studies. So this is just a few
- 15:57Speaker 1: reasons why. Guess what, Da da da da da. They
- 16:00Speaker 1: have earned the National Exema Association Seal of Acceptance. That's huge.
- 16:06Speaker 1: If I had a dime for every time someone told
- 16:08Speaker 1: me that EXIMA, I wouldn't have to do this podcast.
- 16:11Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to get at. So check out
- 16:13Speaker 1: one Skin get fifteen percent off with my code Drama
- 16:17Speaker 1: at one skin dot Co. That's fifteen percent off one

- 16:27Speaker 1: show and tell him that the Galo's obsessed with getting
- 16:29Speaker 1: rid of her zombie cells sent you there and invest
- 16:32Speaker 1: in your health and longevity of your skin with one's skin,
- 16:35Speaker 1: trust me your future self. Well, thank you me. Remember
- 16:38Speaker 1: when he goes to Bertie's house and with the Xbox, Yes,
- 16:43Speaker 1: so can you explain to me what that was all about?
- 16:46Speaker 2: Well, this is how I gathered and I had my
- 16:48Speaker 2: questions there too. So he goes to her house and
- 16:51Speaker 2: he's returning this Xbox and says, hey, I know you
- 16:55Speaker 2: got this for him, and Bertie genuinely says, no, I didn't.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I did not buy that for him. It seems to
- 17:02Speaker 2: me that she gave him some money, probably for the girl,
- 17:05Speaker 2: I mean a.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Situation situation, and.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I think he didn't or she said something like, well,
- 17:14Speaker 2: I guess hustlers run in the family or you know where.
- 17:17Speaker 2: It's like, okay, so you used to be a hustler
- 17:20Speaker 2: or you still are. He's a hustler, but I couldn't
- 17:22Speaker 2: quite get I don't know, did you get the same thing?
- 17:25Speaker 2: That she gave him money and he's misspent it.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I had no idea, honestly did not know. That was
- 17:29Speaker 1: a big question mark for me. And then I didn't,
- 17:32Speaker 1: you know, prioritize spending any minutes thinking about it. And
- 17:36Speaker 1: I just was just let it roll right over me
- 17:38Speaker 1: and just moved on to the next you know. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: was like, I'll ask Magan about that. So I obviously
- 17:47Speaker 1: have no help. No, I think that that makes sense.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And then he was like, thanks for giving us, giving
- 17:53Speaker 1: me such a great son. And at that point we
- 17:55Speaker 1: didn't know you know that they.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Were yes, yeah, exactly. It was more I at that time,
- 18:01Speaker 2: I was still like, are you just saying, you know
- 18:03Speaker 2: you birth to this child?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Thank you right, thank you?
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yes right.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So we know now that legally blonde guy and Bertie
- 18:13Speaker 1: are completely in kahoots there here and having an affair,
- 18:16Speaker 1: which is just so exciting. I did not anticipate that affair.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Fabulous nice to love it, love it and that, and
- 18:25Speaker 1: I loved that.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Basically, every sorry, every every single person on this show
- 18:31Speaker 2: is having an affair.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And drinking wine and some kind of alcohol at any
- 18:36Speaker 1: point during the day, which is very gross point just
- 18:41Speaker 1: having affairs, drink drinking wine, day, drinking, night drinking. Bertie
- 18:48Speaker 1: and her I guess, assistant. I honestly thought it was
- 18:52Speaker 1: her mom at first, and then I did too, Okay, yes,
- 18:56Speaker 1: but she's seen some stuff. I actually thought that she
- 18:58Speaker 1: knew she had a son, so I thought that she
- 19:03Speaker 1: knew about that until later she was like, you have
- 19:05Speaker 1: a son. I was like, okay, I guess you didn't
- 19:07Speaker 1: know that. And she was like, I just want to
- 19:10Speaker 1: try to be a mom. And I'm like, well, hon,
- 19:12Speaker 1: you can't because there are rules and laws against that
- 19:15Speaker 1: right now. But go ahead, go on. It's gonna be
- 19:18Speaker 1: great for the show. And then Olda's like, whenever you're
- 19:22Speaker 1: going yourself into a clint, I can't clean it up
- 19:25Speaker 1: this time.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Yeah, she ain't help them with that.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Hm, But what does she cleaned up in the past.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I mean, obviously we know that she has a past
- 19:34Speaker 1: of drinking and driving. She's on probation. But I mean
- 19:39Speaker 1: this gang, this this gang of gross point hoodlums, I'm
- 19:43Speaker 1: gonna call him hoodlums. These these gangster gross pointers, you know,
- 19:47Speaker 1: up all night after a garden party, just using every
- 19:51Speaker 1: garden tool to chop someone up. And then they show
- 19:54Speaker 1: up at Birdie's house with blood on the dress. Yes,
- 19:57Speaker 1: it's just sloppy.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Work sloppy. He's super sloppy. And you know this is
- 20:01Speaker 2: off topic, but I want to back up to this
- 20:03Speaker 2: because we're speaking of clothing. Blood on the dress. That
- 20:08Speaker 2: one thing I want to comment with legally blonde guy
- 20:10Speaker 2: and his cop uniform. I really took note of. There's
- 20:15Speaker 2: this weird I wrote down priest collar question mark. He's
- 20:19Speaker 2: wearing like a little collar that says the initials GPS.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I believe like Gross Point South or I'm not sure
- 20:25Speaker 2: what it's for. But I was really.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Confused by that, so were we My parents and I
- 20:31Speaker 1: really did mention that, and I think there may have
- 20:34Speaker 1: been a D after the s okay, but the collar
- 20:38Speaker 1: was throwing me for a loop. What kind of a
- 20:41Speaker 1: cop uniform is that? I mean, is it just from
- 20:44Speaker 1: parties city? Is that what we're doing? And then is
- 20:48Speaker 1: it like my parents? My dad was like, oh, it's
- 20:50Speaker 1: Gross Point Shores, you know, because they live in Gross
- 20:53Speaker 1: Point Shores. But then I'm thinking, well, yeah, maybe it's
- 20:57Speaker 1: Gross Pointe Shores Department. I don't know. And then I
- 21:01Speaker 1: was like Gross Pointe Sheriff. And then I thought there
- 21:04Speaker 1: was a D. I thought it was GPD, and I
- 21:06Speaker 1: was like detective, and then everyone everyone was.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Like, no, no, no, we couldn't.
- 21:09Speaker 1: We couldn't decide.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Let's just no, it's it's really interesting, and I think
- 21:13Speaker 2: all the listeners should go take a look and sound
- 21:15Speaker 2: in because it's really an interesting collar. And I don't
- 21:18Speaker 2: know how I feel about that type of collar on
- 21:20Speaker 2: a policeman.
- 21:21Speaker 1: You know, I'm not going to go so far as
- 21:23Speaker 1: I say it's a mandarin collar, but it's in the
- 21:26Speaker 1: family of a mandarin or a mock neck, and I
- 21:29Speaker 1: take issue with both of those, frankly, in a uniform style,
- 21:34Speaker 1: you know.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Second that thank you, so.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Yeah, now thanks for letting me go there, Oh my pleasure.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So yeah, Olga knows what's up. She's just in this
- 21:49Speaker 1: empty house sweeping up. Who knows? Just nothing? Blood, I
- 21:53Speaker 1: don't know. And then why don't we talk about present
- 21:57Speaker 1: day where we have Gary walking up with a gun
- 22:03Speaker 1: in his back to Catherine's house. The husband comes out
- 22:08Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh my gosh, this guy. And so
- 22:12Speaker 1: then they're inside and he is telling his sob story
- 22:16Speaker 1: and sure enough, now we're to the point where Catherine
- 22:18Speaker 1: has got to go along with this and cover up,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and now he's just blackmailing her living in her home.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I mean, it just felt like the top of this
- 22:30Speaker 2: episode they talked about the weed problem in Pest Problem
- 22:35Speaker 2: and had this line about spider mites that they said,
- 22:37Speaker 2: no matter how hard you tried, they're impossible to control.
- 22:41Speaker 2: In side note, I hate spider mites so much. I've
- 22:44Speaker 2: had them in so many gardens. They are impossible.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they are breeder mites.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Oh good, are.
- 22:52Speaker 2: So hard to get rid of. I can't tell you
- 22:54Speaker 2: how many bottles of knee oil I've gone through. I've
- 22:56Speaker 2: tried all these different things like they're talking about with
- 22:58Speaker 2: don dish soap and all this stuff. But anyways, Gary
- 23:01Speaker 2: struck me as such a spidermight because he is in
- 23:05Speaker 2: her house. He's in her house in Wow, living in there.
- 23:10Speaker 2: He's adding to their grocery list, He's totally making himself
- 23:13Speaker 2: at home. And he even says to Catherine at what
- 23:17Speaker 2: point when she's she's questioning why why are you doing this?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Why are you here? And he says, I am here
- 23:24Speaker 2: to destroy everything you care about because he felt she
- 23:28Speaker 2: did that to him. And I was like, oh, you
- 23:30Speaker 2: are a spider maight, you are disting.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, this is an amazing analogy. Megan Grana, Wow,
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know, there were a few things in this episode
- 23:44Speaker 1: that just got right by me, but not that mock turtleneck.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But this is, this is what we're talking about. I
- 23:51Speaker 1: did not catch that he is a spider mit and
- 23:55Speaker 1: they're they're firing it with flames, which tells me, I
- 23:58Speaker 1: mean they want us to now that he's the one
- 24:01Speaker 1: that they killed because.
- 24:04Speaker 2: The shoe store. Oh yeah, the fire, Oh my gosh. Yeah, yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 2: I thought that was so interesting that they you know,
- 24:13Speaker 2: Gary with his sob stories like I've lost my job.
- 24:16Speaker 2: You know, he was working for the father in law,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and then they show us a scene of him working
- 24:20Speaker 2: in a shoe store. Now now he's helping old ladies
- 24:23Speaker 2: who have bunyans, and he's hating life and you know,
- 24:27Speaker 2: just hating his existence. And I'm skipping way ahead here,
- 24:30Speaker 2: but in that last shot where they just show like
- 24:33Speaker 2: a new balanced shoe in the shoe stores, I was like, oh,
- 24:37Speaker 2: oh my gosh.
- 24:38Speaker 1: So it's probably too way too on the nose that
- 24:41Speaker 1: it's Gary, probably, but Gary will be certainly selling those.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Well no, because that was after the murder.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Oh right, you're right. Oh my gosh, that's right. I
- 24:54Speaker 2: didn't put that together.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yes, wait, you're right right. It's so hard to keep
- 24:59Speaker 1: track because it's flashing forward not back. Yes so, but
- 25:04Speaker 1: but speaking of when legally blonde guy goes in looking
- 25:09Speaker 1: oh yeah, very undercover, not sus at all, leaving a
- 25:13Speaker 1: charred phone with black gloves. No, that isn't mine, and
- 25:22Speaker 1: he walks out, it's like she just identified you. This
- 25:25Speaker 1: is going to come back to you. When they find
- 25:28Speaker 1: out that this person is missing because Bertie said that
- 25:32Speaker 1: she kept them alive, she finally tells the gangster the
- 25:36Speaker 1: gangster four, wait, no, the Gangster three, the rest of
- 25:39Speaker 1: the three, that she decided to keep him alive. That's
- 25:43Speaker 1: what she was doing. But she doesn't tell them how
- 25:46Speaker 1: she's doing that.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Right, right, And then we just see that little phone,
- 25:51Speaker 2: which I mean we this is gonna this is gonna
- 25:53Speaker 2: blow up. We know that. I mean, this is just
- 25:55Speaker 2: too much. Like you said, what a good point. They're
- 25:59Speaker 2: they're fire, using fire to get the weeds out of
- 26:01Speaker 2: the garden in the garden society. This, the whole thing
- 26:04Speaker 2: is gonna blow just like the car.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Did I love that? Gary? When he was talking to
- 26:13Speaker 1: them in the kitchen, and he pulls up the gun
- 26:15Speaker 1: and points it at Catherine, and then he's because Kat's like, well,
- 26:21Speaker 1: what are you gonna do about this person that ruined
- 26:23Speaker 1: your life? He's like, make her sorry? And then he
- 26:25Speaker 1: pulls the gun out and he's like, what am I doing?
- 26:27Speaker 1: I'm an award winning realtor, not a killer.
- 26:31Speaker 2: It's a great line, it is. It is, I'm an
- 26:35Speaker 2: award winning realtor. I just love that. Not a phrase
- 26:39Speaker 2: I've heard before.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Mm mmm. So now Alice picks up Molly's ashes and
- 26:47Speaker 1: that was a very funny scene, very dark comedy, very
- 26:51Speaker 1: funny of the technician or the front desk lady to
- 26:55Speaker 1: put them in a subway bag killed me.
- 26:58Speaker 2: And I just want to say how personally I responded
- 27:01Speaker 2: here because we've had pets, and it is true that
- 27:04Speaker 2: sometimes you go and you're like, wait, you want how
- 27:06Speaker 2: much for what? Just to give me my ashes? You
- 27:08Speaker 2: want ninety six dollars for this thing? And she's trying
- 27:11Speaker 2: to just cut some costs here, and so they dump
- 27:14Speaker 2: the ashes into a subway back.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I shouldn't want to move into that rental house of
- 27:20Speaker 1: her in laws.
- 27:21Speaker 2: No, the heck, no, ninety six bucks is big money.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Put them in the subway bag.
- 27:28Speaker 1: That's ridiculous. And then also the other thing is do
- 27:32Speaker 1: you probably put this together? But as we keep seeing
- 27:36Speaker 1: this body being buried in with the new balance shoe,
- 27:40Speaker 1: we see the quilt. Correct, you've seen the quilt, You've
- 27:42Speaker 1: clocked it. And we see them in the garden clubs
- 27:45Speaker 1: sewing the quilt and yeah, you know in law was
- 27:49Speaker 1: there and they're all talking about their grandkids and she's like, well,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't have one yet. And we know now that
- 27:56Speaker 1: they take that quilt and they wrap that body in it.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I mean the foreshadowing they're really gonna quilt
- 28:04Speaker 2: all these pieces together.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa, come on now, come on now, Megan, what happened? So?
- 28:14Speaker 1: And then and then we get we also have Alice
- 28:17Speaker 1: and her husband that are really like really not they're
- 28:21Speaker 1: clashing and she takes the bullet from the ashes. Then
- 28:26Speaker 1: she goes to Peyton's house, which the fact that he
- 28:30Speaker 1: lets her in and she's upstairs in his room and
- 28:32Speaker 1: he's like, oh, yeah, you're one of those horny Florida teachers.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yes, I was just in shock. Although she was wearing
- 28:39Speaker 2: I have a lot of comments on the clothes. This
- 28:41Speaker 2: episode because her skirt was real short. I thought, so,
- 28:44Speaker 2: I mean, if I'm coming over to a student's house,
- 28:47Speaker 2: I don't know, if I'm coming over looking I'll hot
- 28:50Speaker 2: to trot like that.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yes, maybe, Yeah, get out of there, lady, you're getting
- 28:57Speaker 1: to get yourself in some trouble. I mean, these slappy
- 29:00Speaker 1: little girls wind gangsters. And then he comes in, and
- 29:04Speaker 1: then of course he changes his tune from being this
- 29:06Speaker 1: big bully too. Don't open that door, it's a big secret.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Oh my, poor little puppy. And then you realize, oh,
- 29:11Speaker 1: he would never kill a dog, and he doesn't even
- 29:14Speaker 1: have a handgun in the house that bullets from a handgun.
- 29:17Speaker 1: And so then cut to Alice finding the handgun in
- 29:22Speaker 1: the husband's paint box.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Yes, it's just that. Really. Also, you know again it's like,
- 29:29Speaker 2: oh my gosh, is this relationship gonna blow? Because they
- 29:32Speaker 2: also very carefully set up in this episode that they
- 29:36Speaker 2: revealed another thing you called airhorn yourself please, but I'll
- 29:40Speaker 2: get ready, what is it?
- 29:41Speaker 1: How brilliant?
- 29:42Speaker 2: What now you called that? Brett really is deeply in
- 29:46Speaker 2: love with Alice And we got to see yeah, oh yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 2: you called it.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Yeah I did. I think there's a lot of people
- 29:52Speaker 1: out there that probably saw that, right, Megan.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Well, I didn't for sure know. And when I heard Brett,
- 29:58Speaker 2: Brett's ex wife actually say it, like the reason they
- 30:01Speaker 2: split is because she's like, because I just saw the
- 30:04Speaker 2: way you looked at Alice, and I knew there was
- 30:06Speaker 2: never going to be a chance for us. And I
- 30:08Speaker 2: was like, oh, God, so sad. You know it's sad.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah, also, but I mean to her point, I mean,
- 30:16Speaker 1: why do you have a friend like that? You can't
- 30:19Speaker 1: just have a hot friend like that and hang out.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry, No, it's.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Not gonna work.
- 30:25Speaker 1: You can't have hot friends that's of the opposite sex
- 30:30Speaker 1: and your heterosexual.
- 30:31Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, it doesn't work. It
- 30:36Speaker 2: doesn't work. And their relationship obviously broke up because of it.
- 30:40Speaker 2: And I think we're getting that really good tension from
- 30:44Speaker 2: this that you know, he likes her, and then her
- 30:46Speaker 2: relationship with Doug, her husband, is going south. They found
- 30:50Speaker 2: the gun, and I mean, she finds the gun. He
- 30:53Speaker 2: doesn't know she's seen it, and they're having these fights
- 30:55Speaker 2: about he said at one point, and I go, oh
- 30:58Speaker 2: my gosh, I gotta find this quote it. He's like,
- 31:01Speaker 2: plans change people grow up, people buy houses, people have
- 31:04Speaker 2: babies like he's ready to.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I've had that plans. I mean I said that
- 31:09Speaker 1: to Bret plenty of times, plenty of and I just
- 31:15Speaker 1: said it the other day. People grow up, Brat.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. I feel you.
- 31:22Speaker 1: You know, the person I connect with the most, who
- 31:25Speaker 1: is the dog killer dug No.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I'm kidding, Okay, okay, all.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Right, good job, Amy, I'm really getting to know you.
- 31:36Speaker 1: So you say you're a tulip and so then then
- 31:41Speaker 1: the other thing is, uh they oh, Brett Bretten his
- 31:46Speaker 1: ex wife and Connor the family tree project was destroyed,
- 31:49Speaker 1: and then they really connect over this, which was nice.
- 31:51Speaker 1: So they can kind of go parent together.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Very very nice. And I'm sorry I got to back
- 31:56Speaker 2: up again on the clothing because we sort of covered
- 31:59Speaker 2: her going to Peyton's house, but in the lead up
- 32:02Speaker 2: of Alice the Teacher going to Peyton's house, she meets
- 32:06Speaker 2: with Peyton's mom again trying to reconcile. This. The last
- 32:10Speaker 2: time we've seen her, I think was the time that
- 32:11Speaker 2: Alice went to the Gross Point hair salon and exploded
- 32:14Speaker 2: on her in episode one. So it seems like they
- 32:16Speaker 2: had this coffee in the village trying to reconcile before
- 32:20Speaker 2: she offers to go to the house and help Peyton
- 32:22Speaker 2: with these college essays.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I just wanted to come thank you for that.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I My main reason for bringing this scene
- 32:30Speaker 2: up is that the mother in that scene was wearing
- 32:34Speaker 2: perhaps the most gross point sweater I've ever seen. It
- 32:38Speaker 2: was a white, long sleeve, cable knit, cable knit white
- 32:44Speaker 2: sweater V neck preach preach V neck with a red
- 32:48Speaker 2: and blue stripe only around the V neck.
- 32:51Speaker 1: And I thought, I don't know, you know, I don't
- 32:54Speaker 1: know what was.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Going on with that police collar, but y'all won me
- 32:58Speaker 2: back with this sweater.
- 33:03Speaker 1: You done, did it? Okay, Wardrobe Department. See, that's what
- 33:07Speaker 1: you get when you don't order your police costumes off
- 33:11Speaker 1: of Party City or Amazon customize your own police officer
- 33:17Speaker 1: outfit this Halloween. All you had to do was just
- 33:22Speaker 1: go to the store and get a nuy. You could
- 33:24Speaker 1: get Abercrombie and Fitch probably have that sweater. I mean,
- 33:27Speaker 1: it's great, good job. That is so funny. Megan's Oh wow,
- 33:32Speaker 1: that's really really funny. Yes, So now now we have
- 33:39Speaker 1: what else do we have here? Before we can Oh,
- 33:43Speaker 1: Gary's pregnant wife and Catherine at point pantry which is
- 33:51Speaker 1: probably not Kroger, but it's more of like the village village.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Food market or something. Is that what it's called? Billy food?
- 34:00Speaker 1: This good food? Yeah, I'll ask my mom when she
- 34:03Speaker 1: comes in. Yeah, I name them all.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Up on mac Yes, yes, yeah, they see each other there.
- 34:10Speaker 2: That was Yeah, that was a rough scene.
- 34:13Speaker 1: She comes out from around the apples and boom, Mama
- 34:17Speaker 1: is pregnant. And so she's like, yeah, it is what
- 34:21Speaker 1: it is. Bad timing. And then she's like, oh my god.
- 34:26Speaker 1: And then she goes and visits Gary at the shoe
- 34:29Speaker 1: store and she's like, your wife is pregnant. We were
- 34:33Speaker 1: going to go to Paris. And he's like, that's just
- 34:35Speaker 1: something you say to make it more fun. And she's like,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I'm heartbroken. And he says, oh, is that something you
- 34:39Speaker 1: say to your husband? So this shoe store situation, can
- 34:46Speaker 1: we can you break this down for me? Timing wise,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Like the phone was planted there later after the murder,
- 34:57Speaker 1: so at what point is Gary working. I'm kind of
- 35:00Speaker 1: confused in my timeline right now.
- 35:02Speaker 2: I don't think we know because we know that Gary
- 35:06Speaker 2: moved into Catherine's house because he got kicked out of
- 35:09Speaker 2: the house his father in law. He was this award
- 35:11Speaker 2: winning realtor working for his father in law, kicked out
- 35:15Speaker 2: of the job, kicked out of the house by the wife.
- 35:18Speaker 2: So he has no place to live, no place to work.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So apparently he moves in with Catherine in this episode,
- 35:23Speaker 2: and I'm loving that. He's already thinking, I'm not gonna
- 35:27Speaker 2: let a day go by without a job. I'm gonna
- 35:29Speaker 2: go get a job at a shoe.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Store right away.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I pivot.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I didn't think that was gonna happen, considering how he
- 35:36Speaker 1: was just popping those feet up on the automan and
- 35:38Speaker 1: putting together an Instacart list. He was ready. I was like,
- 35:43Speaker 1: you got okay, Gary, you have some hustle. Yeah, you
- 35:46Speaker 1: have some hustle, and I respect that. But so was
- 35:49Speaker 1: was this before the murder?
- 35:52Speaker 2: I think it was. Yes, he's working there, I do
- 35:55Speaker 2: believe before the murder. Oh, but I don't know if
- 35:58Speaker 2: he's I don't know if he's still there after the murder.
- 36:00Speaker 2: That's a good question. We don't know how long he's
- 36:03Speaker 2: going to work at the shoe store.
- 36:04Speaker 1: So you're saying he's the victim.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go ahead and say he's the victim.
- 36:10Speaker 1: And honestly, you called that in the first episode. But
- 36:14Speaker 1: let's also say we still have how many episodes left,
- 36:18Speaker 1: like eleven? Yeah, maybe too soon to say. Oh another thing,
- 36:24Speaker 1: when I watched an interview of at the character Alice,
- 36:30Speaker 1: she said that they didn't know who the murderer was
- 36:34Speaker 1: for a long time.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Oh that's cool. I thought, that makes it very fun. Yeah,
- 36:39Speaker 2: makes it fun to film that way. They don't even know.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Yeah, okay. Lastly, they Alice and Brett, who are too
- 36:48Speaker 1: hot to be friends. They should not be hanging out
- 36:50Speaker 1: and on the shame on them, shame shame. Of course
- 36:53Speaker 1: they're going to be in love. And they go to
- 36:56Speaker 1: the park and they get rid of the ashes one
- 36:59Speaker 1: way or the other of the dogs bases, and then
- 37:02Speaker 1: we also have a moment where they flash forward to
- 37:07Speaker 1: we have to move wait, or maybe it's present day.
- 37:09Speaker 1: They have to move the body and they're like, stop
- 37:12Speaker 1: calling it the body, and they're like, fine, we'll call
- 37:15Speaker 1: it keish.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I loved that. I love that because it's not too
- 37:21Speaker 2: meaty something like that.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I was like, huh, okay, yeah, that really took some
- 37:29Speaker 1: thought to come up with. That too. I was like,
- 37:31Speaker 1: all right, and then Brett's like Alice said. Alice says,
- 37:36Speaker 1: we have to move Keish, and then Brett says, not
- 37:39Speaker 1: if they find Keisha's phone first. And then that's when
- 37:42Speaker 1: Bertie says, trust me, they won't find the phone. If
- 37:45Speaker 1: you don't know, you have plausible deniability. So that's why
- 37:49Speaker 1: she didn't tell them, and I kept Keish alive. And
- 37:54Speaker 1: then we end with the with the legally blonde guide
- 37:57Speaker 1: putting planting the phone in the shoe department.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Yes, yes, really great summary. Loved it. I really did
- 38:06Speaker 2: feel like they delivered on the weeds theme because every
- 38:10Speaker 2: single every single person seems to just have weeds popping
- 38:14Speaker 2: up around them causing them issues. We have Alice getting
- 38:17Speaker 2: the weed of her husband. He's causing issues, you know,
- 38:20Speaker 2: they're not getting along, and Catherine's dealing with Gary, and
- 38:24Speaker 2: Birdie's dealing with the sun. I mean, we have a
- 38:27Speaker 2: lot of and the police officer just a lot of
- 38:31Speaker 2: a lot of weeds.
- 38:33Speaker 1: This is why you're a writer. Come you find the themes,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you really drill down on them, and I love that
- 38:40Speaker 1: about you, so you know, good job, thank you, thank you.
- 38:44Speaker 1: This was super fun. We are going to continue to
- 38:48Speaker 1: do this. Obviously, we will be joining back up next
- 38:51Speaker 1: week for another recap of next week's episode. It's on NBC.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It's on Sunday nights at what is it ten o'clock
- 38:58Speaker 1: And Megan, I expect that we're going to put on
- 39:01Speaker 1: our vision board for next year. You'll be writing on
- 39:05Speaker 1: the show, and I'm going to get just a quick
- 39:08Speaker 1: just get me in the garden Center, give me a line, yes, show,
- 39:12Speaker 1: bring me down to Atlanta. I don't need to be recurring,
- 39:15Speaker 1: just popping out.
- 39:16Speaker 2: We need you on the show recurring, and we need
- 39:19Speaker 2: it filmed in gross Point. We need to get all
- 39:21Speaker 2: the visions
- 39:23Speaker 1: Drama listening
